TIPS TO MAKE A FURSONA: PT. 1
Hello! Im Cereal (Or Vinny!!) ive been in the furry community for almost 5 years now and draw for a living, and today im teaching you:
How to make your fursona!
When you first join the furry fandom, while its optional, you may want to make a fursona to represent your anthro self! But if you dont know what it is, I have a definition! A fursona (a combination of "furry" and "persona") is essentially an anthropomorphized animal character that represents a person in the furry community. Someone's fursona usually reflects some aspects of the person's own personality, hobbies, and interests. It can be anything from a simple drawing to a detailed 3D model, cosplay, or even a full-body costume (fursuit). People use their fursonas to express themselves and interact with each other in the furry community.. Some of the most common fursonas in the furry fandom include foxes, wolves, cats, and dogs. Some less common but still popular fursonas are bears, raccoons, rabbits, and bats. There are also many mythical or fictional animals that furries may choose as their fursona, such as dragons, and unicorns (popularized by MLP) Some furries may even create hybrid fursonas, like tiger-dragon or wolf-cat. The most "basic" (no shame in this!) is the Wolf. Its generally seen as the default! Some uncommon fursonas in the furry fandom include:
Elephants
Sloths
Giraffes
Zebras
Deer
Owls
Penguins
Hedgehogs (Excluding Sonic!!!)
Turtles
Fish
Bats
Rhinos
Otters
Seals
Walruses
Anteaters
Scorpions
Snakes
Worms (yes, really, and they are beautiful.)
Some stereotypes about certain fursona species include: Wolves: Alpha males, tough and strong. Foxes: Sly, cunning, and quick-witted. Cats: Independent, aloof, and often aloof. Bears: Big, burly, and often cuddly. Rabbits: Soft, sweet, and cuddly. Dragons: Majestic, powerful, and sometimes aloof. Tigers: Strong, fierce, and independent. Owls: Wise, mysterious, and nocturnal. Pandas: Laid-back, cute, and clumsy. But!! Foxes have a very odd stereotype The "femboy fox" stereotype likely arose from a combination of factors. Historically, foxes in folklore and mythology have often been depicted as cunning, deceptive, and even trickster-like figures. This has often led some people to stereotype foxes as being sneaky, sly, and somewhat devious. Additionally, foxes are generally considered cute animals, which may have contributed to the idea of some foxes being portrayed as more feminine or "cute" in artwork and other media. Ultimately, the femboy fox stereotype is likely just a byproduct of these various factors and how foxes are commonly portrayed in popular culture.
Is it bad to fall into these stereotypes? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Everyone is unique and can make whatever they want!! Now that we have gotten past species and what a fursona is, now how to make one!
Creating a fursona is an exciting and creative endeavor that allows individuals to express their identity through an anthropomorphic animal character. To begin, start by contemplating what characteristics resonate with you personally. Consider traits such as personality, interests, and even your values. For instance, if you’re adventurous and energetic, you might choose a fox or a wolf, both of which are often associated with such qualities. Alternatively, if you identify with gentleness and nurturing tendencies, a deer or a rabbit could encapsulate those traits effectively. Using the aesthetics, traits and looks can help on the design aspects of your fursona. Think about the species you want to represent, the colors of their fur, and any additional markings or patterns that could convey your personality better. Many fursonas also include unique features, like bright-colored accents or accessories that reflect hobbies or interests—such as headphones for a music lover or goggles for an aspiring pilot. Drawing inspiration from various sources, including real animals, mythology, and even pop culture, can help you visualize and refine your fursona’s look!!!
Once you have a basic idea of your fursona's personality and design, it's time to give them a name. This name can be a reflection of their traits, an amalgamation of words you love, or even a play on words. The right name can further embody the essence of your character and make them feel more real to you. Finally, consider how you want to portray your fursona in different contexts, such as social media, art, or even attending conventions. Engaging with the furry community can also provide support and inspiration, as sharing your fursona with others often leads to meaningful connections and friendships among fellow enthusiasts. Creating a fursona is a journey of self-discovery and imagination, allowing you to explore facets of yourself in a fun and artistic way.
Here are some names! John William James Robert Michael David Richard Thomas Charles Joseph Mark Paul Peter Daniel Andrew Matthew Chris Christopher Sarah Elizabeth Mary Jennifer Emily Jessica Anna Amanda Hannah Ashley Leah Rachel Sophia Samantha Madison Olivia Emma Grace

“As an endling, Turgi wasn’t, perhaps, as grandiose as many of his fellow lasts of their species. He wasn’t as furry and charismatic as Benjamin the thylacine, who’s death made him a mascot for National Threatened Species Day in Australia. Turgi wasn’t a martyr that tourists visit on eco-pilgrimages, like Sudan the northern white rhino almost-endling. He wasn’t a stately Lonesome George living out his life with gravitas in his own Galápogas Islands. Although sad, of course, reports of Turgi’s death were certainly less intentionally pathos-filled than many other eulogies of species’ extinctions; perhaps because it’s harder to anthropomorphize a snail than other charismatic organisms.”

Was suggested to draw fursonas for the Pain paths and it kind of got out of hand
The Pain paths furry is a chimera of all the summons of the animal path.
[Image ID:
Image 1: A digital drawing on a blank background of the Ame trio as anthropomorphized animals wearing their first akatsuki uniforms. Yahiko and Nagato are dogs and Konan is a bird. Yahiko has orange fur with darker hints on the paws, he's leaning on a sword and has a hand on Nagato's shoulder, smiling with his eyes closed. Nagato is a red dog with hair covering his right eye, he's smiling and standing between Yahiko and Konan. Konan is next to them as a blue bird, still with her signature hairstyle and flower. She has orange eyes with slit pupils and long eyelashes, small eyebrows over them and purple eyeshadow. She has a short and big yellow beak and her cheeks are red. She has wings instead of arms and is extending one showing white feathers underneath the wings.
Image 2: A digital drawing of Konan and Nagato as the same furries but older, after Yahiko's death. Konan is wearing a long turtleneck tunic split at the waist in the front, crossing her wings over her chest, looking stern. She's facing the left side. On the other side is Nagato, he's only wearing black boxers and is very thing, the black chakra receptors planted into his back and arms. He's sitting on his knees, doing the snake handseal. He looks deranged and angry, showing his teeth, he's bleeding from his mouth and nose and some blood is staining the ground. He's facing the opposite direction than Konan.
Image 3: A digital drawing of the paths of Pain as one dog based chimera with 6 arms, combining all of the animal path's summons on his limbs. He has a panda paw, a centipede leg at the end of an arm, a bull front leg at the end of another arm set on the ground, a chameleon hand, a crab claw and one normal dog like hand which fit the rest of the body. His feet are a bird leg and a rhino leg. He has a long dog tail and green wings. On his shoulder are the 6 paths' heads, like an hydra, all looking mad and gnarling. He has chakra receptor all over the body and on each limb. A spiky collar is on his neck is attached by three cables pinned down to the floor with black spikes. He's shirtless and only wear light blue pants. /.End ID]

I'm thinking of making a chima equivalent of Tiny Sapient Ungulates. Trying to design "plausible" ways the animals could have evolved via Chi
Thank you mutual for the ask!
That's an interesting question! Chi influences the anatomy of animals into fitting a specific mold, which is the Phoenix model, since every bird or flying animal that consumed the Chi ends up with six limbs. Ungulates aren't birds of course, so their limbs will remain in two pairs instead of three.
It is not known how many fingers are in a Chima minifigure, but it is known that every tribe in Chima, excluding the arthropods, has three toes on their feet, meaning that the ungulates might evolve new feet (which is totally plausible. the birds grew a new pair of limbs. Anything is possible).
^ depending on the species of course. Rhinos and elephants are ungulates and lose toes instead of growing more. Hypothetically, a deer would have to grow two more toes.
For fingers, they'd have to grow at least 3 to grab stuff.
Another change would be the position of their eyes. Chi makes the eyes of animals stay in the front of the skull. They'll also grow a big forehead, probably because of the brain getting bigger.
An obvious change would be that they would evolve anthropomorphic anatomy, so the position of their shoulders would be on the back and not on the side.
I think these are mostly the changes that would happen. I would like to draw a hypothetical ungulate minifigure, but I'm out of time right now, but I promise I'll do it!

Zootopia 2 Hopes & Predictions
With Zootopia 2 announced, I wanna share some things I want to see, some things I would love to see but don't think will be shown, some things I don't want to see, and some other predictions.
• Unrealistic Hopes
- Bogo and Clawhauser confirmed as/becoming a couple - Bucky and Pronk directly confirmed as husbands in canon (and not just hinted at) - Reptiles and avians - Nick is bi - Jack Savage - Finnick speaking roles (since his voice actor, Tommy Lister Jr., passed away in 2020) - Jack Black voicing a panda as a clear nod to Kung Fu Panda but the character has absolutely no similarity to Po other than species - Some sort of reference/nod to The Bad Guys
• Wants
General - More Gideon Grey -- More of Gideon's new relationship with Stu and Bonnie - Learning Mrs. Otterton's first name - Learning Bogo's first name -- Learning Bogo's backstory - More Mr. Manchas - Nick's family - Mr. Otterton speaking role - Explanation as to how sloths function in a society like this - Judy Big (Fru Fru's child) - More Sam (the otter from Zootopia+) - Lore of Zootopia's founding - Canon confirmation that predators get their necessary meat-based proteins from insect-based foods - Continued inclusion of adult-based humor - Michael Giacchino doing the score again Characters & Species [Note: I know some of these species are already included in Zootopia 1 but I just wanna see more of those] - More rabbits and foxes as characters in the background - Deer - Bears (that aren't polar bears) - Equines - Hares - Goats - Cows & Bulls - Guinea pigs - Llamas - Camels - Bison - Hyenas - Ferrets - Uncommon* mammals (capybaras, chinchillas, anteaters, African wild dogs, meerkats, etc.) - Nice sheep - Tiger side character (with a speaking role) [* Uncommon in terms of typical animal-based things] Locations - More Bunnyburrow (especially the towns & buildings) - Judy's home - Deeper exploration into Sahara Square - Deeper exploration into the Rainforest District - Places (like Bunnyburrow) that are around Zootopia but not actually part of it - Shadier, seedier underground-type places - A mall - A movie theater - More of the museum - Spaces built mainly for large mammals like elephants and rhinos, as a sort of contrast to Little Rodentia
• Unwants
- Humans in any capacity - Deaths (especially of main characters like Nick and side characters like Judy's parents, Finnick, or Gideon) - Gideon becoming antagonistic again - Nick and Judy somehow having kids - More copoganda - Chris Pratt voicing a character - James Corden voicing a character - Any reference to bitcoin/NFTs - Any use of AI-generated art or voices
• Maybe-wants?
[I'm on the fence about whether I'd like to see these or not] - Explanation as to how domestic dogs and cats exist in this universe (which they do, or at least cats) - Explanation as to why there are no avians, reptiles, or marine mammals - Some inclusion of the scrapped shock-collar plotline - Explanation as to how ice cream is made - Lore of Zootopia's universe (like how animals evolved to become sapient and anthropomorphic)
• Predictions
- Nick and Judy will have another falling out but will get back together - Bogo and Clawhauser will be heavily included again - Bonnie and Stu will be side characters again - Finnick will be seen but won't have any sort of major role - The story won't be as good or topical as the first but the writing will be on-par - The story will be set either very soon after the first movie or a couple years later; it won't be too far in the future. - Nick and Judy will remain cops at the end of the movie - Zootopia+ will be referenced at least once - Flash will appear again
Sorry for the long post, I'm just thinking about the possibilities a lot.
I'd love to hear your opinions, wants, predictions, etc.!

It's been 50 years since Disney's Robin Hood came out in November-8-1973 and let me tell ya: it's totally a great movie! All of these characters of Robin Hood are anthropomorphic animals from the heroic Robin Hood the male red fox to the villainous Prince John the lion rather than humans like us. Anyways, it's the legendary story about the heroic Robin Hood (Brian Bedford) and his trusty sidekick, Little John the brown bear (Phil Harris), are the two outlaws living in Sherwood Forest, where they rob from the rich and give to the poor townsfolk of Nottingham. When evil Prince John (Peter Ustinov) deputizes the Sheriff of Nottingham the wolf (Pat Buttram) to collect unreasonable taxes from the animals of Sherwood Forest, Robin, Little John and the other merry men wage a lighthearted battle against their evil foes and SPOILER ALERT: Robin Hood also wins the hand of Maid Marian the female red fox. My favorite part of this movie is Lady Kluck the hen made a touchdown by defeating all of the rhino guards which reminds us of a scene reminiscent of an American football game.

Descriptions taken from Wikipedia.
Cars (2006) - Post-Ren
Set in a world populated entirely by anthropomorphic talking cars and other vehicles, it follows a hotshot rookie racecar named Lightning McQueen who, on the way to the biggest race of his life, gets stranded in Radiator Springs, a rundown town that's past its glory days, and learns a thing or two about friendship, family, and the things in life that are truly worth waiting for.
Bolt (2008) - Post-Ren
The film's plot centers on a dog named Bolt, who has spent his entire life on the set of a television series and firmly believes that he has superpowers. When his beloved owner Penny is "kidnapped" on the show, Bolt runs away from the set to rescue her, eventually teaming up with sarcastic alley cat Mittens and Bolt super-fan Rhino (a hamster) on a cross-country journey back home.

Hey, Tamami, there’s going to be a new show/Lego line coming out this year called Legends of Chima, and it deals with warring factions of anthropomorphic animals fighting over a source called Chi. The 8 main factions are lions, eagles, bears, crocodiles, ravens, rhinos, wolves, and gorillas. I think you might enjoy it.
Ooh, I loved playing with legos when I was a kid! I'll have to check that out when it premieres!

IDW! Raph Should be a Cat-Boy, Here's Why
Good evening (or whenever this post may find you) I have a silly little theory for you today.
(A brief content warning: the comic pages shown here do depict two animals fighting. Just a heads up)
So as we all know, Mutagen tends to work like so:
Critter + Ooze + DNA of Another Critter = Mutant
Simple, easy, consistent, right?
However
In issue #3 of IDW's run, we learn how itty bitty not-yet-a-mutant Raphael got separated from the other turtles. The stray cat that would go on to be Old Hob had scooped him up with every intent to eat him, and little Raphie was lost in the scuffle when Splinter came to his rescue, as you can see below:
{Start Image ID: Three pages from IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles issue #3. Set in an alley, the pre-mutated turtles, Splinter, and Old Hob stand in a pool of glowing green mutagen. Old Hob has snatched one of the baby turtles, Raphael, into his mouth with intent to eat him. Splinter attacks Old Hob to save the turtle. Raphael is lost in the scuffle, Splinter sustains a serious leg injury, and Old Hob loses one of his eyes. Old Hob flees the scene. :End Image ID}
That glowing green goo up there? That's mutagen. Everyone is getting covered in it. But it also means that Raph-a-little's first post-mutagen exposure DNA contact is Old Hob, a cat. It also means that the most significant presence of outside DNA on little Raphie is feline DNA.
Ergo, Raph's a cat-boy.
Now what does this mean in practice? Whatever you want, I'm not a cop. Does he have a luttle fuzzy tail and toe beans? Cat eyes and sharp teeth? does he get high off of catnip? Up to you! Do whatever sparks joy. 🌈
Preemptive Counter-Arguments:
Wait, doesn't this mean Splinter is part cat, too? And part turtle? Yes, but this isn't about him.
Doesn't it also mean that the other turtles are part rat? See above.
Doesn't it ALSO mean that Old Hob — See. Above.
Okay, but what about the Mutagen Bomb and Mutant Town? We never see any hybrid mutants there! Look. Look. If I had to design dozens of unique anthropomorphic characters that I could reliably draw the same way each time, and that other artists who I may never talk to can ALSO reliably draw the same way each time and keep them identifiable as the same characters? I'd walk into oncoming traffic. Making any or all of those characters hybrids between two or more species? Forget about it. I could look at Sophie Campbell's art all day, but I would not wish such a task on my worst enemy. Plus writing wise? It gives them an easy way to power scale mooks like Bebop and Rocksteady. What's scarier than a rhino man with no regard for the laws of men? A rhino man with no regards for the laws of men who is also a shark.
Fine, but where'd their human DNA come from? Not that it really matters, but probably the Foot genin who put the turtles in that sack in the first place (you can see he isn't wearing gloves in the flashback from issue #2, if you care to look). Or maybe from all the scientists that handled them on the daily, seeing as they were lab animals. Or the alley they're in in those pages up there. Do you know what people do in alleys? There's probably hundreds of unique samples of human DNA in the square foot they're standing in alone.
But they're TURTLES not CAT-BOYS!!!!! This is you:
{Start Image ID: The classic, unedited "NO FUN ALLOWED" robot with a sign meme. :End Image ID}
Go forth and prosper with this new knowledge. If you make any fanworks based on this fun little headcanon, tag me in it or shoot me a link. I wanna see all the little cat-boy Raphs.

@iobartach followed!
--------
Miguel would be greeted by the sight of the anomaly he was tracking to this universe flying past him at near Sonic speed. Ah, an actual Anthropomorphic Rhino. That wasn't weird at all.
The one who'd hit him? She was nonchalantly striding past in the direction she'd launched her enemy.
Upon sighting Miguel, Buttercup adjusted her jacket, eyes narrowed at him.
"Take a number, Lite Brite Supreme. I'll deal with this Jumanji Reject and get to you next. I swear, why is it that bad guys always show up all together?"
