Some fluff for Anthony I’m literally in love with him maybe Lawrence reader and everyone finds out about their secret relationship including Daniel Johnny and Amanda

Reader couldn’t help but giggle a little, her cheeks felt all flushed and warm. Getting into Anthony’s room was a bit of a task. Scaling the LaRusso house and getting up to the roof could be pretty, hard especially at night. There was barely any light other then from the windows.

But sneaking out late at night was the only way for her and Anthony could meet up that week.

Between her father and Anthony’s parents it was hard to meet up in person or face time. Their secret texting only got them so far. The urge to see each other was constant. The only time they got to see each other was at school or when they got to glaze at each other from afar at the dojo. On the rare occasion they meet up for secret dates around town.

It didn’t help that their siblings where also constantly on them. Both Robby and Sam would periodically check in on them. Better known as snoop around to keep a eye on the two of them. The teens knew that their older siblings would sneak into their rooms and look around time to time. So far after months of dating in secret, neither of them seemed to have found out about the secret relationship.

Anthony rolled his eyes as he helped pull his girlfriend in into his room from his bedroom window. He couldn’t help the small smirk that pulled on his lips as she finally climbed all the way in. He helped her stand up and shut his window again. He whispered out “You really have to stop doing that. One day Sam or my parents are going to hear you.” Reader groaned as she flopped onto his soft bed. Her eyes looking over at him as he just sighed and sat down next to her

There was a long pause as they just sat on the bed together thinking. They both had such a hard time keeping the relationship they had a secret, especially for so long. It was madness trying to keep it hidden away from everyone to see.

But it always came down to one simple thing that caused them to not want to come out about their romantic feelings towards each other.

Reader was a Lawrence.

Anthony was a LaRusso.

It was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode if they where to tell everyone they where dating.

“I wish we didn’t have to do all this, sneaking around and stuff. I thought sneaking around was supposed to be fun and exhilarating. This just sucks…” Reader said as she scooted over on the bed to lay her head in his lap. Anthony slowly blinked as he looked down at her. Eyes half lidded as he watched her face fall. He picked at her hair, twirling a lock of her hair between his fingers.

“I don’t like it either but you saw how my parents and your parents acted the last time our families got romantic with each other. Maybe we can wait another year or two or-“

“I don’t want to wait, I want everyone to know that I have a hot boyfriend named Anthony LaRusso, gaming badass and karate dude. I can’t keep acting like I’m single when I’m not. It’s so hard acting l-like we aren’t a thing.” This was one of the only times that Anthony had seen his girlfriend act like this. In the months of meeting her and dating her, he had never seen her this upset.

He had never seen Reader Lawrence on the verge of crying. It made his stomach flip and his heart hurt. His usually strong headed tough girlfriend has tears welling in her eyes. Her hand slowly moved to grasp his. Her soft lips kissing his fingertips.

“I want to be able to hold my girlfriends hand in public. I want to be able to throw a arm over her when I’m sitting during a break at training. I want to kiss her in front of everyone when ever I want to.” He felt this chest start to tighten just a little “Just give me a little more time to think of a way to tell them ok? Please.” Reader clenched her eyes shut trying to magically suck up her tears. He didn’t let her do that for long as he whipped them away with his thumb. She gave a soft smile before pulling him closer.

Their lips meet in a sweet and soft kiss. It was simple and passionate. Light and airy almost. His thumb rubbed over her soft cheek, her hand laced gently though his dark curls. Lips moving together in a sweet rhythm. They where fully embraced into each other.

They didn’t even hear the door to Anthony’s room open.

All they heard was the loud gasp that had them separating in a split second. Eyes going wide as they stared at the open door.

Sam LaRusso stud in the door way with a shocked expression, mouth open and eyes wide as she looked at the two teens. What ever words they had in their minds where lost on their tongues. Both of them in complete shock of being caught by the boys older sister.

“Anthony!! Mom! Dad!”

Anthony didn’t even have time to shove Reader off of his lap by the time his parents showed up.

With a unexpected newcomer.

“Dad why are you here!!”

“You don’t get to ask that! Why the hell are you here Reader?! Your supposed to be at the apartment with Robby!”

Johnny yelled as he pushed past Daniel and Amanda. Reader shoot up and pushed herself away from Anthony on the bed. She was quick to try and lock her knee’s together to look more prepared. Taking a deep breath she looked up at her dad who was basically fuming now. His blue eyes digging holes into hers. Looking like he was about not snap.

Daniel doesn’t look as mad but Amanda is close to the same point as Johnny. Daniel has a eyebrow raised and Amanda is tapping her foot, Sam is still a bit in shock at what she just found going on in Anthony’s room.

“We have been gone for less then two hours and you decided to sneak in a girl- Reader at that.” Daniel says in a questioning tone. Amanda looks at her son in a box of anger and sadness. Clearly seeing what was about to go down now that the two teens had been caught.

Johnny whips back around and points a finger at Daniel and then to Anthony “Hey that’s my kid! I bet your mcjunior son tricked my daughter into coming here. Trying to pick a fight? Reader did he do anything to you?! Did that little prick put a hand on you!”

“Dad no stop!”

“That’s definitely not what was happening when I walked in.” Sam snorted making everyone look at her. She put her hands up In defense.

“Anthony what where you two doing in here when Sam walked in.” Amanda said with her arms crossed.

“I was… I was kissing my girlfriend when Sam walked in.” Anthony exclaims as he looks up to his mom with a small frown.  He really didn’t expect to be telling his parents about this tonight.  he thought that they could get away with it for just a little while longer. Clearly they couldn’t with the turn of events. 

Reader quickly takes his hand in hers and gives it a soft squeeze. Looking over he finds her smiling over at him, relief starts to flood over him. Maybe this wasn’t the worst timing after all. 

They both look up to their parents.

“Sam did you know about this??”

“I had no idea! And I admit to going though his stuff before and I didn’t find anything. I can’t believe he’s even dating anyone in the first place.”

Johnny is pacing the room at this point as he try’s to cope with the new information. He scratches at the back of his head “How long has this been going on? Does Robby know about this?” Reader sighs saying “ We’ve been going out for a few months now, and from my knowledge, Robby has no idea about us going out together. We didn’t want anybody to know in the first place because of this exact reaction.” She huffs at her father.

The room was silent after that for a while.

No one dare make a sound.

“Are you guys actually that made over this? That I’m dating a Lawrence?”

Amanda was the first one to reply back, quickly sitting next to Anthony. She took his free and hand patted it in hers.

“You really thought we would be upset just because your dating Johnny’s daughter? Is that why you two where hiding?”

Reader nods “We thought all of you would be upset about us dating each other because of what happened after Robby and Sam where together. Half of the time you guys couldn’t stand be near each other when the topic came up. We thought it would be the same with us so we just kept it a secret.”

Johnny groaned as he sat down next to his daughter.

“Maybe I’m a little pissed that your dating a LaRusso but still, you shouldn’t have felt like that. I just want to know your safe. If dating a shitty LaRusso makes you happy then so be it.” He tries his best in his own way to comfort his daughter. He puts a hand on the back of her head and gives her a quick kiss to the temple before pulling away. He ruffles her hair, she tears up a little as she goes and hugs her dad.

“It’s ok…I’m not mad.” He rubs her back harshly for a few seconds.

“Sam you suck by the way.”

“What!? What did I do!?”

The rest of the night was filled with chaos as they talked everything out.

The whole time Reader and Anthony held each others hands.

kg's notes - i just wanted to make something that was cute, fun, and overall a new layout of how I would present my headcanons. so here are the Cobra Kai characters sharing their favourite sweets with you, because they love you!

Demetri Alexopoulos - he would really love to share a Whatchamacallit or Cherry airhead with you and tear off small pieces and feed them to you. he goes from doing that to having it in his mouth to 'feed' you like that when you know the truth is he wants a kiss from you which you happily accept with chocolate on your face from the Whatchamacallit.

Miguel Diaz - he would love lots of Spanish candy and would tend to bring you back a lot of it, especially since he makes frequent trips to Mexico to visit family. the different varieties and textures make you both excited (and nervous) to try them and he'll make sure to take note of which candies you prefer so the two of you can enjoy them together, even if some of them aren't in his personal preferences but he likes seeing you happy.

Robby Keene - he's definitely spicier than anything actually sweet, but he tries to get something not so spicy for you to try, which makes you scoff and say you could handle it. he looks at you funny knowing that you're either lying to him or telling him the truth, either way he's intrigued about how motivated you are to try his "spicy" candies. if he doesn't eat candy he shares the corn nuts with you and you say the ranch flavor is your favourite.

Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz - he's the type who really appreciates sour candy and if you don't like it he's willing to share his dark chocolate with you. he wasn't raised eating candy, so you two would share a slice of fruit like: watermelon, apple, orange, or whatever kind he has in his pantry the moment. you actually started his love of chocolate (he would never admit this to your face but he would tell Demetri and Anthony) after telling him to get you some during your period since it helped you with the cramps, even though he retorted with a banana when you asked for the chocolate.

Anthony LaRusso - he would get the little variety packs like Kit Kats, Buenos, or anything chocolate related. he's not a big fan of regular-sized or larger chocolate (like King-size Hershey bars), since it now makes him uncomfortable to eat so much chocolate again. he would unwrap it and feed it to you instead of allowing you to make it yourself, although he would only allow you to take a couple of pieces of chocolate before hiding it in his room. he got better at hiding candy because you were sneaking around while he was trying to hide it once.

Samantha "Sam" LaRusso - similarly to Eli, she would rather eat fruit than real candy, but she sometimes eats real candy and it normally comes from Italy instead of here, America. she's not a fan of chewy or gummy candy, so the cappuccino candy she likes comes as a hard candy to make it last longer, plus she says it's better than the coffee you might get at a coffee shop. you're on the fence about that. it's not your favorite thing while it's hers and you offered her yours to see if she would like it and that is to be determined…

Tory Nichols - she's used to sharing a lot of things especially with her brother (Brandon) because that's all she knows, so it's no surprise when she offers you pieces of her chocolate. she's more on the bitter side of things like something rich—an espresso or a cappuccino if you will for her chocolate, although there are rare times when she would eat Sour Patch Kids or Jolly Ranchers (blue raspberry and watermelon are her favorite flavorus).

I don't have a particular reason other than vibes but I don't exactly think that's a bad indicator

Robby Keene - Earth bender

His physical build and ability to stand his ground makes it fairly easy to coin him as an earth bender

Sam Larusso - Non-bender(hear me out)

I can't see her as any specific type of bender I was torn mostly between air and earth, I see Amanda as an earth bender and Daniel as an airbender but I just don't see Sam as a bender

Tory Nichols - Fire bender

Eli Moskowists/Hawk - Earth Bender

Simply put, his personality and fighting style(mostly his fighting style) are easy ways to label him as an earth bender. Bro's got those earth bender vibes.

He's intelligent and quick-witted and he has many qualities that could make him believable as a fire bender. Simply put, I'm going with the vibes again.

Can't comment with a sideblog, so I'll drop them here:

Yasmine and Moon were secretly messing around behind the scenes in S1 and had a "friends with benefits" type thing going on

They both caught feelings, but Moon wanted to publicly be girlfriends while Yasmine was terrified of ruining her rep (hence why Moon was the one who felt comfortable enough in her sexuality to openly date Piper later)

Yasmine and Piper are both lesbians, but Piper is very openly out while Yasmine is very very deep in the closet.

Aisha is also a lesbian, but is much more "whatever, no big deal" about it. She's never really found it to be worth mentioning. She's also possibly acearospec and generally not super interested in dating. She was into both Sam and Tory because her type tends to be "hot karate menaces."

Piper was Moon's first healthy romantic relationship.

Moon is genderfluid, but only ever came out to Piper (why Piper made a big deal of Johnny being genderfluid-inclusive!). She'd maybe come out to Sam, Yasmine, and Demetri later but it's not a sure thing. I don't think she'd feel comfortable telling Eli, even post redemption arc.

Tory and Robby are bi4bi. They're both vaguely aware they're bisexual, but it's not something they've every really had the time or drive to explore.

If Tory hadn't already been crushing on Robby, she really might have gone for it when Piper shot her shot.

Demetri has been in love with Eli since they were kids. He full on knows this, he just believes he has no chance and also is slightly terrified Eli will abandon him if he knows Demetri's gay.

Terry Silver basically has the same thing with John Kreese. He's loved him forever but frantically frantically hides it.

Every adult on the show (save Terry, who I think is just flat out gay) is ragingly bisexual.

I don't ship it personally, but Terry was/is definitely into Daniel as well. It IS very funny to me that he gets rid of one gay crush at the end of S4 because he's a "distraction" and then spends all of S5 obsessing over a different gay crush. Like nice going you ponytail loser, you failed to solve the problem at all!

Eli is also in love with Demetri (and probably has been since like middle school) but has MUCH less self awareness about it than Demetri.

Both Eli and Demetri are repressing their feelings to kingdom come. I'd say S5 is the earliest they could've figured it out, but here we still are ;____;

Demetri, Eli, Moon, and Yasmine are the quintessential example of a "queers finding and vibing with each other before they realize they're all queer" friend group. Unfortunately, Eli, Demetri, and Yas are all repressing their queerness incredibly hard, and Moon is the only one of the four actually comfortable in her identity and sexuality.

Demetri and Yasmine started out being in utter denial they were each other's beards. However, after about a month of attempted dating and still not being able to straighten themselves out (heh heh), they talk about it and end up coming out to each other. They decide to continue presenting as a het couple to keep up appearances, mainly because neither thinks they can afford any potential damage to their rep that being openly gay might deal. Yasmine's rep is in shambles after the wedgie, so she really can't afford it. Demetri's rep is improving, but he's still not popular enough not to potentially suffer ridicule if he were to get outed.

Yasmine has homophobic parents, which also contributes to her staying in the closet. Part of the reason she flew all the way back for prom was because her dad was giving her a hard time about how little she'd dated in high school, and she wanted to prove a point.

Yasmine also has an older sister named Rosalie who is an influencer of some kind. Yasmine and Rosalie are pretty close, but there's a bit of underlying resentment from Yas's side because Rosalie has always been The Favorite. I think this motivates a lot of her S1 bullying--she's desperate for some kind of attention from her classmates, even if it's negative. She doesn't want to live in her cooler, more beautiful sister's shadow.

Moon never lost any popularity to begin with and also has a very easygoing and accepting hippie family, which is part of why she was never worried about being openly bisexual.

Yasmine and Demetri are extremely close platonically. When Eli finally gets upgraded to the role of Demetri's boyfriend, Yasmine and Miguel are basically tied for Demetri's platonic best friend. The rest of the dojo kids find this really funny because of how different Yas and Miguel are.

Kenny and Anthony are both bisexual.

Anthony has a planet-sized crush on Kenny and absolutely no idea what to do with it.

Kenny is probably also into Anthony but processes it like 10x more unhealthily.

Demetri and Eli claim they "don't want kids" but have a bad habit of adopting the younger dojo members as their sons. They're now the proud gay dads of Bert, Nate, and Anthony. Kenny is probably next tbh.

Kyler has been bullying Demetri and Eli since elementary school. Demetri used to try and stand up to Kyler and other bullies to defend Eli, but he always just got his ass beat and his stuff trashed. The teachers were pretty useless in helping. By the time high school rolls around, Demetri has fully given up.

Demetri and Eli probably both had a crush on Miguel at some point (specifically when he beat Kyler's ass in the cafeteria). I feel like if you went to West Valley High it would be difficult not to get a crush on Miguel tbh.

Eli's first mohawk color was blue in part because Demetri's favorite color is blue (it's the color he most consistently wears!) and he was trying to help Demetri be more comfortable with him "flipping the script." It actually somewhat worked for a while, although Demetri was still weirded out and kind of concerned about the apparent personality change.

He also 100% dyed his mohawk to match Demetri's hoodie in S5.

Demetri and Eli are both Jewish. Demetri's family is ethnically Jewish but non-practicing for the most part. They participate in the occasional holiday celebration but aren't super committed. Eli's family is practicing and goes to synagogue more regularly.

They both had a bar mitzvah. Their first kiss was after the latter of the bar mitzvahs with the logic "well we're both men now, and grown-ups do things like kissing, so I guess we'd better do that! And it's not like any girls will ever want to kiss us anyways, psh."

Demetri has a single mom who's on the overprotective side, but also does not mince words. She and Demetri's dad were like the older generation equivalent of Demetri and Yasmine, except if they didn't realize they were both gay until well into adulthood. Demetri's dad left when he was little, and now Demetri's mom is openly lesbian and frequently brings new women home.

Daniel, Amanda, Carmen, and Johnny (possibly Chozen and Ali as well) all want to be in a polycule, but none quite have the courage to admit this. Maybe give it 10 years and they'll finally come to terms with it XD

so in an effort to keep myself PARTIALLY sane, i'm going to be posting my top 10 cobra kai characters these next 10 days as a sort of countdown so

♡ day 10: anthony larusso ♡

i think most of my interest in anthony as a character stems from his "invisible child" characterization.

love amanda and daniel but they overlook anthony so much (starting in season one). most of their focus seems to either be on the dealership, sam, or karate. while it's understandable for them to be a little out of the loop throughout the series, none of that excuses ignoring your actual child.

and sure, he's a little (a lot) annoying and rude in the earlier seasons but that's obviously his way of acting out for attention. he seems to seek comfort in his devices and games, which is why he comes off spoiled. daniel and amanda don't seem to care enough to correct him since that's how they raised him, just not so subtly rolling their eyes or scoffing when he doesn't want to do something and exploding at him instead of admitting they didn't give him as much care and attention as sam.

so yeah, he's more than a little bitter about this and rightfully so ! do i condone his bullying of kenny as a cry for attention? no. but it is understandable why he was so resistant to daniel's sudden attempt at actually disciplining him in season four. daniel didn't teach him patience, focus, or responsibility because he wasn't present enough to even demonstrate those lessons.

BUT there's still a personality under all that anger and lack of attention (both from his parents and the ck writers) and obviously i love nerdy characters, which he IS. but alas, his lack of screentime means most of this will be headcanons so

!! headcanons !!

he DEFINITELY likes dungeon lord and feels a little more comfortable admitting so to kenny after they make up. the two of them, though a little out of practice after all the karate wars, eventually play together.

hawk and demetri sometimes play with them but the duos prefer to play alone.

anthony's obsession with technology connects to his interest in gaming equipment and even lets hawk and demetri introduce him to some simple coding programs and even show him how to jailbreak/mod his games and devices to make them more fun

while amanda and daniel are definitely trying harder to be present in anthony's life, he still views robby and sam as his main authority figures. together, robby and sam help him with his karate training, school, or just lend an open ear when he needs to talk about something.

robby sometimes drives him to tech town when he needs to get something but usually doesn't go inside with him. anthony kept acting like the annoying little brother he is until robby caved and explained why he shouldn't be seen around tech town (or the country club) (and why he was living with the larussos for a bit) (and why his relationship with his parents is also difficult to talk about) (although anthony knew the gist of it, he definitely didn't know the details robby revealed) (anthony leaves the conversation thinking of robby as more of a brother than before)

when he gets older, and out of his awkward teen phase, he and kenny cosplay their favorite dungeon lord characters at a local convention (and he stutters through an explanation when they bump into two cute girls also cosplaying while kenny unsubtly holds back his laughter)

his friend group in middle school split up (either moving schools or ditching each other after the "chasing kenny into the library" incident) which made the idea of high school all the more terrifying but devon, bert, and nate look out for him in high school and make the transition from middle school and his rivalry with kenny into his new reality a little smoother (devon more often than not talking until the boys get over their awkwardness and finally start getting into the conversation)

devon also somehow worms her way into his growing friendship with kenny and becomes the third in their group

and listen, there's like a lot i could theoretically go on and on about but in anthony's defense, your honor, he's just a little guy ! he is the embodiment of middle school angst ! he's rude, he's annoying, he's a little angry all the time, he's lazy, and he's anxious. he's also incredibly lost and worried about anything and everything !! and the fact that he didn't get the proper time and writing to work through that is understandable but also so disheartening !

i stand by my hc's though, he sees the entirety of miyagi do as his makeshift family (and finds that a little embarrassing), all looking out for him in a way he didn't previously know was possible (either from his parents or his old friends). and even though he's not trying to be robby levels of karate, he still appreciates the older and younger dojo members encouraging him to keep pushing until he gets better, and it's admittedly a little more exhilarating and rewarding when he nails a new move than a new high score (only a little tho, he still loves video games)
