The knight was getting used to going out with Sothis on small picnics and little getaways. With the abundance of people able to watch after their child as well, the two could get away with having little bits of 'couple time' whenever they wished, though it was very hard to pry the two of them away from their child half the time. Still, today Rainald and Sothis were having a picnic out in a new secluded area within the woods. The goddess must've noticed how Rain's recent work was causing him a lot of stress and thought a little escape could help.

And help it did. Perhaps it was being outside of his armor, or just having the quiet of the forest while he rests his head in Sothis's lap that caused him such ease. Maybe it was the food they'd just ate that they prepared together that removed such a weight off his shoulders. It could just also be that his beloved just had a way of making his problems all seem to melt away, whatever the case was, the knight was feeling bliss and would even close his eyes for a moment. "I'm glad you talked me into this my love... This... This is true serenity..."

Sothis smiled. Fingers petted her mates head as the t wo of them relaxed in the peacefulness of the forest. The picnic was a great idea: good food, a serene spot, a beautiful day. There was nothing better. Except adding little River, of course. But that surely would be for another time.

“You need more breaks, Darling,” she murmured. Rain worked too hard. He was dedicated, yes, but he deserved some peace and quiet. “I love you. But it saddens me when you bury yourself in all the work you do.”
