Does the supporter means they will support whatever they decide and move on? Do the supporters think there is something that's in jkk romantically? Or just their bond?

Shippers are very surface like. They don't truly believe that Jikook is real. Jikook is their favourite duo and they enjoy their moments and maybe some have managed to imagine Jikook are indeed a couple. But not really. It takes very little to change their minds about Jikook.

Shippers are just there to ship but they operate like Jikook are in a fanfic. They never treat them like real people. Some shippers are super Y/N too. U will find they are the ones who draw Jimin with a pu$$y instead of a dick like the man that he is. That way it assists in their fantasy of fucking JK.

They don't care much that Jikook are in the closet so they're the ones commenting Jeon Jimin under JK's lives. They're the ones tagging him under Jikook edits 😬😬😬 and they're the ones always spreading the halago photo despite how incriminating that photo is. I honestly think they think Jikook are just another ship from a Kdrama or some shit.

As for supporters most of us are in relationships or have ever been in rlships. Or at least have witnessed healthy relationships. It's why we stan Jikook to begin with. Because we saw the couple behaviour and we immediately knew something was sus.

Thats why I'm a bit concerned when some married tkkrs call themselves supporters and yet what they consider to be normal is JK ignoring V. It tracks with how u hear some of them complaining their husband has forgotten their anniversary for the 4th time in a row. Like throw a dart at a board and you can find a random reason that ARMYs resent JM, whether it be over associating him with his solos the most (literally HYBE saw and marked this as a problem??) to just the fact that ARMYs are literally full of tkkrs who ALWAYS resent him on some level. Bizarre for jkkrs of ALL people to try and deny this as hard as some of them do? (and like I said I’m not saying JM is the only member who gets weird treatment from ARMYs sometimes, but he for sure gets it the most by virtue of tkkrs being as big as they are if nothing else. It's like we can be fandom critical and still care about/be a part of the fandom, this is the way it's been for me and literally any community I’ve ever been a part of? If you care about something you want to make it better which means looking inward and trying to identify and fix the problems. I get there’s a fine line between being critical and “victimizing” and “solo narratives” and “manti narratives” but c’mon, we can use critical thinking to differentiate, yeah? Because not every fandom/company complaint makes you a “solo” or “manti”. Just insane to me.

There’s so many issues with hardcore OT7 logic that we could get into tbh, but you’re right in that there’s nothing wrong with liking only one or two members as long as you’re not hating on the others. And tbh there’s nothing wrong with not liking and supporting all of them equally when isn’t it just normal to have preferences and to stream the music you enjoy the most? And just a note, the funny thing is that a good chunk of ARMYs who complain about this ARE pretty heavily biased, they just don’t want to admit it, even to themselves. And that’s one of the reasons diet-solos emerge and are so prevalent in the fandom right now.

I think the karma is definitely the fandom falling apart at the seams right now (even though sadly good people are getting punished for it). It’s toxic as hell in ARMY spaces, good ARMYs have left in droves, our charting is not great for non-Jikook (part of this I just blame on HYBE and their bad strategy of relying wholly on the fandom, or maybe it’s some of the members strategy tbf, but whoever decided, it wasn’t a good idea). I mean, I guess we’ll see what happens when BTS return, maybe more people will return and things will improve/stabilize somewhat but I also don’t think there’s really ever going back to how things were in the fandom either. Plus BTS are going to focus on group work for a minute, but it’s never going to be the same rate as pre-CH2, the solo careers are here to stay and we have no idea what the actual balance of solo/group/subunit work will be yet. I guess we’ll see but at least we know the karma is that JM antis and tkkrs are like the most miserable jobless people on the planet and JM is happy and healthy and wealthy and loved, so there’s that if nothing else. Stantwt in general just full of miserable losers.

Are you familiar with the term limerence? It's basically the difference between actually being in love with someone(thing), and being in love with the idea of that person(thing). I'm really interested in psychology concepts like this, so I was watching this video about signs you're using limerence to self-regulate, and the explanation really summed up the behavior a lot of shippers. It's a bit of a long video, but very informative. It made me instantly think about your essay-leaving jkk anon, and how it was apparent that they were hurting... Very interesting indeed. It certainly has things in common, I do think that anon uses their ship to overcome or deal with their own heartbreak. The way they made excuses for Jk’s supposed behavior in treating Jimin, really seemed like them making excuses for their ex partner. They’re probably not able to get those excuses for themselves, so they kinda live vicariously through Jikook. They got so… almost obsessive in their responses. On the one hand they pulled a lot of moments and information, but on the other hand they were so wrong in their interpretations. I could tell they were really upset. And they started treating me/my blog as a factor in their distress, that is a bit concerning. I really hope they will be alright.

I think limerence is more about having those feelings yourself. Yourself being one part of the ‘relationship’, while anon is not a part of this relationship themselves. It’s more projection I think, it’s very possible the anon doesn’t even realize that they’re doing it. But you are right limerence probably does occur in fandoms a lot. Many a fan imagines themselves in a relationship with one of the members, and I do think there’s cases where this goes rather far. When it stays at fantasies, it’s not that harmful.. probably most for the person experiencing the limerence.

I'll link those posts for you 🥰 tkkrs have always had the biggest and most vocal problems with jikook. But lately I've seen them really start going after vminnies and taejinnies too. Which are arguably the 3 biggest ships outside of taekook for Tae and JK to be in. It's a being threatened thing, and underlying need to be right and "win" and prove everyone wrong I'm sure. But it's madness. I've seen jkkrs do it too sometimes, going to other ships blogs and listing reasons why their ship is more real. I've had vminnies up in my ask box before. I've had JinMinners and Jinkookers and Namkookers and Minimonists and Yoonminners. Lol every ship has its bad apples for sure.
