The Woman she Is
gif by azertyrobaz
req: maybe just a tiny one-shot? I know you’re win the middle of writing many fics so no pressure. But Ava Coleman x fem!reader? Where r and Ava have been in a relationship and no one knew bc it was secret, r has a daughter and just loves Ava, even calling her Mom. You can decide the kids name maybe she could be mixed? but basically one day the kid has like a bad day and won’t talk to Miss Howard and finally gets r to try and talk to her but she wants to talk to Ava. (I haven’t seen anyone write for mom!ava) idk what else. But I’m just in the mood for mom Ava. Also, please put mom figure Melissa to y/n and Mel has her happy ending in relationships :,)
Been waving this one off for a while so here ya go anon! :)
Their daughter’s name is Hallie and it’s implied that she’s mixed.
————————————
“I even cut your strawberries into hearts!” Ava exclaimed placing a plate of pancakes in front of Hallie, she also put some fruit on the plate and a placed a small glass of orange juice on the table. “Tank you, mom!” She smiled, she ate her breakfast quickly, throughly enjoying her strawberries and taking nibbles of her pancake at a time. Y/n was upstairs getting ready, already having eaten. Ava was packing the little girls lunch, making sure to put her water bottle in the pocket of her backpack.
“Good morning to my two favorite girls!” Y/n smiled, placing her bag down on one of the chairs placing a kiss on Hallie’s bunny cheeks. “Good morning, Mama!” “Good morning, baby”
Y/n also placed a small peck on Ava’s lips, she might’ve been stubborn and might not do her job sometimes, but she really cared for the kids, she always wanted to be a mom.
Now, that dream has come true, she’s a mom to the cutest daughter, though, she might not be hers biologically that didn’t stop the little girl from calling her Mom. The best part was she gets to help raise this little girl with the love of her life. She may have been a player but she knew when she saw y/n that she was the one. As cheesy as it sounds, Ava couldn’t have fallen faster or harder. Falling for y/n was like falling face first into pavement for Ava.
They all got into Ava’s car, Hallie sat in her booster seat and happily played on her iPad as they drove to the school. Her backpack, sat next to her the sequins shining in the sunlight. Ava never thought that she was gonna actually fall in love with one of her Co-workers. She’d flirt, yes, but never actually date any of them. That was were y/n came in, she transferred to Abbott as a new first grade teacher. She charmed everyon
Ava was playing ‘Pick Up Your Feelings’ by Jazmine Sullivan, it was one of her favorites, actually. Even Hallie seemed to have learned some of the lyrics from how many times Ava’s played it. Though, if anything, Ava listens to Beyoncé the most.
You need to hurry and pick up your, ooh, feelings While I'm up cleaning
Boy please (boy please, oh) I don't need you (I don't need you)
Y/n let a smile take over her face as she looked out her window, nothing could’ve ruined this moment. Everything she could’ve needed was right here. Her life was perfect as it was and she wouldn’t change it for anything.
Her job might’ve not been a six figure paying job but it brought her memories that were priceless, her job might’ve been stressful but it helped the next generation. She couldn’t have wished for anything more. “You okay, baby?” Ava asked, placing a hand on her thigh, the principal’s brows furrowed, stealing a glance at her girlfriend.
”Yeah, just a little tired, I could go for some coffee right now” The woman yawned, regretting her choice of just drinking orange juice. Ava smirked, she made a U-turn to Starbucks, “We have some extra time anyway so why not make a pit stop?” Hallie giggled in the back, “Can I get a cake pop, pwease!”
Y/n nodded, she thought it was cute when she got lazy and forgot to pronounce the ‘L’ sound. It seemed like yesterday she couldn’t talk at all. “Well, I already know what to get everyone, then!”
——————
Ava made jokes about how the barista looked like 50 cent the whole ride to Abbott. They arrived a little bit early but they didn’t mind, Getting out of the car, Ava unbuckled Hallie out of her seat. “Ready for school, lil’ curly fry?” She smiled, chuckled as she tousled the little girl’s curly hair that was nicely slicked back into a half up, half down hairdo.
Hallie threw up a thumbs up, holding Ava’s hand and y/n’s in the other, not many cars were parked in the lot. The three entered the only person visible was Mr. Johnson.
He nodded at the to grown woman and smiled at the little girl. It was safe to say that Mr. Johnson was Hallie’s favorite person at school, besides Mel and Barb.
Ava gave y/n a soft kiss, and gave Hal a peck on the forehead. “Have a good day, you two” she said before walking to the break room, y/n unlocked her classroom door, letting Hallie in, she flicked on the lights. She usually just let her color until the bell rang signaling that she needed to go to Barb’s class.
“I have to go to the break room, will you be okay by yourself for a few minutes?” Y/n asked, placing a hand on her daughter’s shoulder. The little girl nodded, her attention not faltering from her coloring page.
Leaving her classroom, she trusted her young daughter to finish the coloring page, quickly coming into the break room she grabbed a donut happily munching down on the sweet treat, “There ya are! Was wondering you was! Where’s the kid?” Melissa questions, looking around to make sure she wasn’t hiding. Y/n laughed, leaning against the counter, “In my room, I’ll go grab her for you”
Being a woman of her word, the teacher walked back to her class, before she reached the door she heard a thud and a “uh oh..”
Y/n hurried into the room to see Hallie standing next to her desk, a cup in hand. She tried hiding the coffee puddle that was clearly on the ground, even her clothes were stained a dark brown color.
“Hal..what did you do!” She exclaimed, picking up the little girl and sitting her on the chair, quickly cleaning up the mess. “I’m sorry Mama, I didn’ mean to” her little head fell to her lap, seeing her clothes now ruined, she pouted, hating when she made her mama upset.
“It’s alright, sweet girl. Just be more careful, okay?” She cooed, kissing her cheek with a smile to let her know she wasn’t upset. “Go see your Mom while I clean this up,” the girl nodded, hopping off the chair and hurriedly running out of the classroom.
On the way, Hallie saw Melissa she waved and hugged the second grade teacher, “Mornin’ to you too, kid” she said sweetly, missing the coffee stains on the child’s clothes. Continuing her journey to her Mom’s office, she knocked and spoke in between the crack between the door and frame. “Mommy!” She called, the sounded muffled by the metal, shuffling was heard on the other side, Ava opened the door with a sweet smile.
A cough was heard behind the girl, The principal lifted her head to see a whole camera crew behind her. “Oh, damn” she let her jaw drop, ushering her daughter into the office, she stared the crew down as they all wore shocked faces.
“Go on doing whatever it is y’all do”
Ava closed the door, turning to the little girl who was sitting in her chair looking at the picture of Y/n, Hallie, and Ava. It was the picture they took at when they had gone on vacation last year. “You like it, baby girl?” She chuckled, grabbing some news clothes in the makeshift closet The principal made in her closet. It was quite impressive how she could hardly do her job as a principal but somehow renovate a old storage room into a high fashion closet in less than a day.
Hallie quickly got her clothes on, hugging the taller woman tightly. “Bye Mommy!” Though the morning was joyful and peaceful, since the coffee accident Hallie’s little day went tragically wrong. She had miss placed her lunch, hurt her knee during P.E., she couldn’t color inside the lines, She couldn’t even sleep during nap time because this girl in her class sleep kicked, At lunch time. Miss Howard had sat the little girl down.
“Sweetheart, what’s the matter? You’ve been upset all day!” She exclaimed, listening intently for an answer, the little girl only crossed arms and huffed, realizing she had no other way to get her to crack due to y/n being in a meeting. She brought her to the break room, “Melissa, help me with this one. Do you want to tell Aunt Mel what’s the matter?” Hal only, hugged into the red headed teacher, “Oh, hon..what’s got you in all worked up, huh?” She asked, Hallie finally spoke up huffing, she really did have her mothers attitude.
“I want my Mommy!” She pouted, crossing her arms, Barb groaned, “She’s more stubborn than her Mother, but we can’t get y/n she’s in a meeting!”
No one on the staff had figured out y/n was dating Ava let alone it was serious, Hallie had done a pretty good job keeping it on the down low too. Everyone didn’t really put two and two together when they’d see Ava coming out of her car with y/n. Now that Melissa thinks about it, maybe they’re not bestfriends.
Though, Melissa couldn’t jump to conclusions, “Well, I dunno, I guess we’ll-” Melissa was interupted by the sound of a familar sound of yawning as the breakroom door opened, “Oh hello, you three! Everything alright?” Y/n said, dropping her keys and lanyard on the counter, ripping open a granola bar that she had grabbed from the shelf.
“She’s been upset all day and won’t tell anybody the reason why..” Melissa cooed, booping th kindergarteners nose, she only cuddled closer and pouted even more, “she says she wants her Mommy, so here ya go!” The redhead stood up placing the little girl in her mothers arms, y/n sighed knowing it wasn’t her that she wanted.
Y/n comtemplated fessing up, Ava and had had been keeping it under wraps for so long, so surely, they’ll understand. Melissa was like y/n’s work mom, or real mom actually.
”Okay, don’t make a big deal out of this..but i’m dating Ava! Surprise!” Y/n smiled, Barb’s face dropped in shocked, Mel lit up, “I KNEW IT!” she exclaimed, clapping her hand together and jabbing her finger in the younger teachers direction.
Really, the young woman thought their reactions would be more complicated, Well, at least Barb’s. She just kept standing their with her mouth agape. As if the two had been stalking, Janine and Jacob stumbled in, “GREGORY OWES ME!” Jacob squealed, Janine happily shuffled from side to side with that big smile. Gregory stands speechless, looking at the two who’ve dragged him into another one of their adventures.
“Well, I’m gonna take this one to Ava, see y’all!”
—————
“Well, a knock would’ve been nice but come in wit’ yo’ fine self” Ava smirked, biting her lower lip as she eyed her up and down. Y/n rolled her eyes, “what? Acting like you can give me attitude knowing I can eat that body up like Megan Thee Stallion” She slapped her hand on her desk, laughing hard at her own joke. Y/n huffed, closing her eyes trying to hold onto any piece of patience she had left with her girlfriend, someday she really might explode from these jokes. In the mean time, she’ll secretly like them.
“Why you huffin’ and puffin’ like a choo-choo train?” She asked, y/n went to go tell her the reason why she was even in here but Ava was determined in finishing. “Chugga, Chugga, CHOO CHOO!” She howled and slapped her knee, almost falling out of her chair, Hallie began to laugh too. “You kinda do soun’ like a train, Mama” Ava smirked as y/n groaned, “That’s my lil’ curly fry!” She laughed, opening her arms up for the little girl. Hallie giggled, squealing when the principal would tickle her sides.
Y/n’s frustrations quickly disappeared, it had only been 6 months, yet, Ava’s changed so much. They’d been dating for 4 months, only recently did Hallie start saying Mom to Ava. Now that y/n takes a moment to see the impact this woman had on her life and the little human she called her daughter she melted.
Maybe Melissa was wrong for once. They may think that Ava’s rude or stupid for not doing her job, but she cared, no doubt about it. She’d Show softness here and there but never frequently, Lord help them if she ever was caught being nice to Janine.
Y/n noticed too, Ava seemed a little nice since they’d gotton together. Melissa just thinks she’s up to something but y/n couldn’t help but think it was because she was changing as a person, principal, and now…parent.
“She wanted her mommy” Y/n mocked, smirking as Ava’s eyes lit up. She loved that little girl more than any other little girl. She would knowingly drop everything for that girl. “Really? Oh, come ‘ere you cutie!” She hugged her tight, y/n playfully sighed, looking away with her hand on her forehead. Ava chuckled, “You too, doofus” the woman opened her arm out for her girlfriend kissing her lips softly.
A shriek was heard at the door, they whipped their heads around to see the same familiar faces at the door. Melissa’s face was most likely impressed (then again you never know), Janine was probably the one that shrieked as she jumped up and down, Gregory’s eyes were wide, Jacob was frozen like Barbara.
“Uhm, suprise?” Y/n chuckled, looking at Ava kissing her cheek sweetly turning back to them with a large smile.
———
The two women explained to them how long they’ve been dating, the Abbott crew listened carefully and happily. Barb was still in shock, Ava and y/n wasn’t something they thought would actually get together. Sure, they were polar opposites but they fit so well together. The rest of the school day was quite interesting with Melissa lecturing Ava on how if she ever hurt y/n she’s got a guy who take care of the principal real quick. “I got my eye on you, Coleman” Melissa said, with a stern tone, slowly walking back to her class while staring the tall woman down. Y/n snorted, “don’t mind her, she’s just trying to scare you” y/n smiled, hugging Ava tightly, “I know, but I don’t think I’d ever willingly leave you, baby. Someone would have to physically restrain me, I love you and lil’ Hal too much” She admitted all too easily, to her this was all she wanted for the rest of her life. Of course, someday she’d get down on a bended knee, she planned on getting married, maybe even get a dog?
Who knows, only time will tell.
But maybe this won’t even work, then someday they’ll see this as a learning experience. But if there was one thing they everyone knew, was that they were meant to be together, whether or not if it was the right time, place, or even moment.
They’d up together, that’s how it was in every universe. So, whatever happened in this one, maybe they’d mess up and separate or even just drift apart. They needed each other, in every universe.
Time is something no one is Master of, but this story surely ends happily.
——
As the day ended, Melissa waved bye to her colleagues, smiling as she saw y/n and Ava give each other a small peck on the lips, they were cute together that was for sure. Maybe someday she’d-
“Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry!” A voice apologized profusely, Mel had been too focused on the couple in the distance she wasn’t even focusing on where she was walking.
“It’s fine, really” Melissa chuckled, fixing her hair before looking up to see..damn. The woman in front of her was absolutely gorgeous, she felt her heart flutter for second. “Erm, hi, I’m lissame! No, sorry, Melissa! Melissa Schemmenti” she gave a bashful smile, securing her bag onto her shoulder once more.
“I’m Georgia Prescott, the new librarian”
huh. Looks like Abbott’s in for another love story.

a/n: i love this idea anon, tyyy! sorry this is actually so bad.. also first part is here!!
“hey! y/n!”
you looked back and saw leeseo running up to you with her usual bright smile. she seemed more bubbly today, which was good.
“hi, leeseo.” you smiled. she handed you the umbrella from the day before and thanked you for allowing her to borrow it.
”thanks for letting me borrow it yesterday! i really appreciate it.” she smiled, “i got you some chocolate in return! i heard you liked milk chocolate so i got you some.”
“o-oh.. uh thank you..” you were stuttering so badly, it was horrible.
*ring ring ring!*
“i gotta take this phonecall, thank you again though!” she smiled before bouncing away.
someone hit you on the arm and you turned around, it was iroha, aka your best friend for life, aka the girl who debuted in illit, aka the maknae of illit, aka the most annoying person in the world but you still love her anyways. yeah, that iroha.
“someone’s blushing,” iroha laughed, teasing you. “consider yourself lucky, y/n. leeseo doesn’t do that for just anyone. now come on! let’s go to class! mrs. choi is going to kill us.”
*ding ding ding!*
“wait which mrs. choi?—“
“choi sooyoung! that mrs. choi! now hurry your ass up!” iroha groaned, dragging you to class with her.
-
mrs. choi cleared her throat, “ahem. bae y/n? quit your daydreaming and pay attention. or i’m going to give everyone a pop quiz.”
you snapped out of your daydreaming, “sorry mrs. choi..”
iroha snickered, “daydreaming about leeseo?”
“have something to share, ms. hokazono iroha?” mrs. chou raised an eyebrow.
iroha immediately shut up, “no, mrs. choi.”
“good. now shut it before i separate you two.”
“yes, mrs. choi.” you both replied in a monotone.
-
“gosh, that class was horrible.” you groaned as soon as you walked out.
“you were asleep half of the class.” iroha rolled her eyes.
“and?? still boring!!”
“i’m surprised you’re even passing that class..” she sighed.
you grinned, “with a b too! i’m doing more than just passing.”
“whatever. let’s just go eat lunch. i’m hungry.” iroha’s stomach rumbled and you two started laughing.
when the two of you got to the lunch tables you saw some guy talking to leeseo. it made your heart break into pieces. that was until you saw her face. she was distraught, completely terrified.
“hey, can you hold my bag for me real quick?” before she could answer, you shoved your bag into iroha’s hands and walked towards leeseo.
“leeseo!” you put on a fake smile, glaring at the dude in front of her.
leeseo laughed awkwardly, “y/n! glad to see you!”
“who the hell are you?” the dude glared back.
“her girlfriend.”
“wait what?—“ leeseo got cut off by the dude.
“girlfriend?” he laughed, “prove it to me then! show me some pictures! or kiss her.”
“i will!” you scowled at him, grabbing leeseo’s arm and kissing her. the guy immediately backed off, cursing under his breath.
“sorry— i didn’t mean to kiss you like that. i just saw that you seemed uncomfortable.” you smiled awkwardly.
“it’s fine. i’m just glad i was able to get away from him.” she laughed.
“i gotta go now, i have some friends waiting on me. i’ll talk to you later though!” before you could leave, leeseo grabbed your arm and gave you a kiss on the cheek.
“for the favor earlier.” she smiled, slipping a piece of paper in your hand. “my number. so we can talk whenever.” she whispered in your ear. “see you later, yn!” she walked off, leaving you all flustered.
“damnnnnn, yn!!” iroha laughed, bumping your arm.
“someone’s popular! didn’t think you would kiss her like that!” moka teased, poking at your arms.
“honestly same. thought you would chicken out.” wonhee and iroha added onto moka’s teasing, making chicken noises at you.
“hey! what’s in your hand!” iroha took it out of your hand and read it, “it says.. call me! +82 X XXXX XXXX. xoxo, leeseo.”
“DAMNNN!” moka burst out laughing with the other two.
you took the piece of paper back, “shut it you three! don’t be too loud.”
“whatever! anyways, can we go eat now? i’m hungry as hell!” iroha’s stomach saying it all.
you sighed, heading over to the lunch tables to eat.
-
by the time school was over it was raining. yet again. rainy spring weather was one of your favorite types of days. you loved the way the rain fell on the ground, the soft patters of rain droplets. the way the rain dripped off of the rooftops and how it smelled after it stopped raining. it made you feel so calm and relaxed.
you saw leeseo standing in the front, panicking while dialing some numbers on her phone. you tapped her shoulder and smiled.
“i don’t have a car because i usually walk home, but i can take you over to your company.”
“no— yn, it’s fine. i can head there by myself.” leeseo replied, still calling some people, suspecting that it was her manager or her members.
“no. i’ll walk you there. especially since it’s raining and all and i don’t want you walking by yourself in this type of weather. and i’m not sure if that guy will come back and bug you again. plus, i let you walk by yourself last time, which i shouldn’t have.”
“fine. thank you though. i’ll repay you back sometime.” she finally gave in, letting out a soft sigh of relief.
“come on, let’s go before you get in trouble for being late.”
-
“thanks again for walking with me. i appreciate it.” her voice was soft and sweet, with the occasional hands brushing against one another.
she suddenly pulled you closer to her by linking arms. “your shoulder is getting wet, i don’t want you to catch a cold.”
“oh— uh.. thank you..” you muttered.
“don’t worry about it.”
you dropped her off in the front of her company building and was about to bid her farewell and go home, but she wouldn’t let you. saying that you should stay in the company building till the rain died down.
you tried refusing, but she just wouldn’t let you leave. you sighed and ended up staying, nervously following her into the elevator.
“my members are amazing, they’re super talented and nice! you’ll be fine with them. it’s just till the rain dies down.” leeseo’s voice was bubbly and bright, just like her usual self.
you hummed in response. your palms were sweaty and you were extremely nervous. you hoped that they would like you. you two arrived at her practice room and she opened the door making you go in first.
“leeseo— who are you?” one girl raised an eyebrow, voice sharp.
“unnies! this is y/n! she walked me here today and i told her to stay with us for a while till the rain dies down.” leeseo grinned.
you bowed 90° and introduced yourself, “uh.. hi.. i’m bae y/n.. nice to meet you all— and uhm… yea.” you stuttered, mentally face-palming yourself.
“you look like irene sunbaenim.” one girl blurted out.
“oh.. yeah, she’s my older sister.” you replied.
“no wonder! you two look so much alike!” leeseo played with your fingers.
another girl introduced herself, “i’m yujin, the leader of ive. nice to meet you y/n.” she paused. “you know leeseo. the girl next to me is wonyoung, the girl next to wonyoung is rei, the one on the left of the couch is gaeul unnie, and the one to the right of her is liz.”
“these are my members! they’re all amazing and i love them with all of my heart.” leeseo stopping yujin, her smile wide.
“i love your music, it’s really good. i went to one of your concerts not to long ago. the one in seoul during your last world tour. mostly to support leeseo because she is my classmate after all.” you gave them a small smile.
“thank you for supporting us. we appreciate it a lot.” wonyoung said happily, but classy at the same time. “oh— leeseo-ah. could you get us some water? we ran out. here’s some money for the vending machine downstairs.” wonyoung handed her the money and sent her on her way.
“now. you.” everyone got up and stood in front of you. “are you dating leeseo?” liz asked.
“no—“
“do you have a crush on leeseo?” rei’s eyebrows raised.
“oh— uhm. uh—“
rei and liz pressured you, “say it.”
“yes..”
“ha! knew it!” gaeul exclaimed.
“you’re the one who let leeseo borrow your umbrella last time it rained, didn’t you? your umbrella has the same design as it did when leeseo came by herself.” wonyoung said, crossing her arms.
“uh— yeah.. i did..”
liz butted in, “why didn’t you walk with her then? huh, y/n?”
“i was really nervous and i chickened out—“ you got cut off by gaeul.
“you better be treating our maknae right. i don’t care how you two are associated with each other, friends or dating.” gaeul pointed a finger at your chest and all of the members agreed.
leeseo came back with a bunch of waters in her hands and you helped her put it down on the ground. you were saying that you had to leave and that your mom would get upset with you if you weren’t home, leeseo tried to get you to stay longer, but yujin told leeseo to walk you out since it wasn’t raining anymore.
“fineeee..” leeseo whined, leading you out of their practice room and towards the elevator. “hey— i’m sorry if my unnies were scaring you. they tend to get protective over me sometimes, especially since i’m the youngest.”
“it’s fine. they were really nice to me. and i get it, they just want what’s best for you.” you smiled.
you two got to the front door and she gave you a hug, “see you tomorrow. oh, and don’t forget your umbrella, just incase it starts raining again.”
“thank you, leeseo.”
“hey— can i.. uhm.”
“what is it?”
“can i kiss you?— sorry if you don’t want to, i just.. yeah.” leeseo muttered.
“go ahead. i don’t mind.”
she gave you a small kiss before going back for another one, this time it was longer. her lips tasted of grapefruit, possibly from the lipgloss she always wears. she wrapped her arm around you, smiling and giggling into your chest, it was such an adorable sight to see.
she gave you one last kiss before finally pulling away, the taste of her lipgloss still lingering on your lips. you could see where she was kissed, the light tint of lipgloss on her upper lip and mixed in with the rest of hers.
leeseo interrupted your thoughts, “i expect you to call me once you get home. i wanna know if you got home safely. promise?” she held out her pinky.
your wrapped your pinky around hers, “promise.”
“good. see you tomorrow!” she beamed, happily bouncing off back to the elevator.
“hey!— uhm. what are we?” you blurted out.
“girlfriends?” she laughed.
“sure.” you grinned, walking out of the building and instantly pulling out your phone to call your friends.
“what is it, y/n?” iroha asked, the other two joining the call.
“you guys will never believe what just happened.”

a/n: I’ve been procrastinating on writing so bad lately omg, so sorry for posting this so late hahah, but this is a final note that we are finally nearing the end of this story! hope you enjoy!
warnings: mentions of getting injured
You sprinted through the castle quickly with only one thought in your mind.
“I have to get home”
You ran and ran and continued to run as fast as you possibly could to the front door of the castle.
It was only now that you appreciated all those tea visits to the Demon Lord’s Castle, otherwise it’d be hell trying to navigate your way through here.
A small smile graced your face as you saw the grand entrance just in your sight. The door wasn’t much further now, only just a small distance left.
“Running are we? I read somewhere that cardio such as this is good for humans” A figure said stepping in front of you.
Your body was moving too fast to slow down so in response you collided into the figure and crashed to the floor. Upon looking up you realized the figure didn’t move instead it loomed over you menacingly.
“Diavolo?” You questioned after a minute, looking back up at the said figure.
“Hello MC, I didn’t mean for you to fall like that, please forgive me.” He replied putting his hand out, offering to help you up.
You gave him a weary look and helped yourself up slowly without him, which in turn caused him to give you a sad expression. “I assure you all I wanted to do was help”
“Hm, funny yet all you’ve been doing is the exact opposite.”
Diavolo narrowed his eyes and looked at you with an unreadable expression. “MC you and I both know this is for the best.”
“In what way is this for the best” you exclaimed as you tried to run, however just as you were about to take off, he harshly grabbed your shoulder and held onto it tightly. Your eyes then widened when you suddenly felt a pop.
You screamed in pain causing him to let go and hover over you in shock and worry. This gave you the chance to push him away and cast a spell making it hard for him to sense you, nonetheless see you. Perhaps the few things Solomon did teach you so far actually did come in handy.
You ran off gripping your arm in pain and grunting to yourself. His grip possibly dislocated your shoulder, you thought as you remembered feeling it pop.
Due to being lost in thought while running through the castle hall you couldn’t help but not take notice of the figure lurking in one of the rooms.
Nonetheless you quickly did after they grabbed you by the shirt and harshly pulled you into the dark and empty room.
You debated on screaming due to naturally being spooked but instead you heard a noise and stopped before you could.
“Shhh” was the only noise you heard as the figure placed a hand over your mouth. Your body was coming down from the adrenaline high, so moving to fight back currently wasn’t the best option.
In turn you waited patiently as the hand stayed on your mouth until the figure deemed necessary, and after a moment or so they finally removed it and sighed.
“You really do know how to only cause trouble don’t you?” The figure had said as a sigh followed. “Also what happened to your arm?”
The second they spoke you recognized that voice and your heart dropped to your stomach. He could tell you were now on edge and decided to finally explain himself.
“MC, please just calm down and let me explain. It was never my intention to frighten you this way or to worry you.”
“You say that yet your actions tell me differently” you spoke. “And to answer your previous question your boss dislocated it.”
He sighed and then spoke “I can pop it back into place if you let me, however I cannot soothe it since demons don’t have healing magic.”
“Just get it over with, it hurts”
Barbatos nodded and grabbed your arm as he prepared to pop your shoulder back into place. You told him you were ready and bit on your arm just in case it was going to be painful. Much to your surprise however you felt minimal discomfort and massaged the area after he finished.
“Okay now what do you want?” You asked now back on edge.
“Please listen to me because I'm only going to tell you this once….
“I can help you get back home”
Due to the darkness of the room he couldn’t see your shocked expression, however the silence made up for your response to his words.
“Are you positive? And hypothetically…let’s say you are, how can I trust you?”
He sighed then spoke quietly. “I’m not asking you to trust me, I’m just informing you that I can get you home”
“Well what’s in it for you then? Why didn’t you mention this earlier? And what do you get out of this? I’m sure Diavolo wouldn’t take kindly to his butler going behind his back like this?” You asked harshly.
Barbatos sighed then placed a hand on his head. “Well for one the agreement is over, so there’s no reason for you to stay here any longer, I wanted to speak to you about this after you got some rest, however you had to make things complicated. Now then, don't you want to get home?”
“Your agreement? With who, Diavolo?”
“That’s none of your business. And frankly none of your concern.”
You narrowed your eyes at the butler then sighed. “You’re making it less easier for me to trust you, you know?”
“Like I said I wasn’t looking for your trust, I’m just trying to hold up my end of the agreement per say. Now then onto the topic at hand, are you aware that this is the doing of a curse?”
“A curse could do something as troublesome as this? Just how did this curse happen exactly?”
The butler went silent for a moment then spoke. “Do you happen to have a fictional novel in your possession about traveling to different realms?”
“I do, I’m borrowing it from Satan” you responded curiously.
“Are you positive you didn’t have the cursed edition that looked the exact same?”
“I’m positive, Satan gave me the regular edition after all.”
“Was the lining of the pages silver or gold?” Barbatos asked after a minute.
You thought for a moment and tried to imagine the book again, and after remembering you responded. “Sliver I believe”
Barbatos’ heavy sigh could be heard throughout the dark room. “That’s the cursed edition. The regular edition has gold lined pages.”
“So then what? Does that explain why I’m suddenly in a different timeline?” You asked now slightly annoyed.
“Yes on the contrary it does.”
“So how does that curse even work? Why did I end up here of all places?”
“Well to shed some light on your confusion, our MC happened to be reading the exact same cursed novel, thus causing you both to be the only ones affected by the curse”
“Okay, however I’m halfway through the book and nothing bizarre had happened before, so why did it happen now?” You asked.
“Well in order for the curse to work you both had to have touched the novel at the exact same time. So I assume it was only a coincidence that now you both ended up being affected by the curse”
“If you knew about this then why haven’t you said anything until this very moment? Plus I’m not buying this. You were so adamant on keeping me here a moment ago now you say you can send me home. What’s actually going on here?”
“I’m currently in a tough position as of right now so that’s why I haven’t said anything, however I had to confirm that you actually did show up here because of the book. And my behavior earlier in that room was just a front, due to the young master listening in.” Barbatos replied.
“That still didn’t answer my question.”
“Well no matter, that was just to give you some peace of mind. Now then have you noticed anything unusual about your behavior while being here?” He then asked, bypassing your question.
“Unusual as in how? Up until recently I’ve felt the same”
“So you haven’t felt slightly more upset or irritated than usual?” He pestered.
“We’ll just slightly. However that’s only been recently”
“I see…well I happened to hear you had an episode during your first few days here. Our MC usually has them but I was surprised to learn you had one as well”
“What are you trying to get at with all of these bizarre questions…?”
“Do you remember anything from the episode you had?”
You thought back to the incident and remembered hearing that voice in your head that sounded exactly like yours. You also remembered how it warned you to get away from the brothers and protect yourself instead. So you decided to relay that to Barbatos.
The butler stayed silent for a few minutes as if he was thinking to himself, the darkness of the room didn’t help you make out his expression that well, so you nervously fidgeted with your fingers as you waited.
“So the nature of this cure switches souls. You understand that correct?” He asks after a moment.
You nodded remembering how when you first woke up and saw yourself in a body that was slightly different than you were used to.
“Well due to this, strong emotions or feelings tend to linger behind and cause trouble for you if you've never experienced them on such a level. For example, since you claim to have heard a voice that sounded exactly like your own during your “episode”, then it could have very well been this MC’s voice telling you how to survive based on their natural instincts or feelings.”
“I’ve only heard their voice once then.” You said.
“While that may be true, you did claim to have felt stronger emotions of negativity lately, no?”
“Well yes but-“
“If you continue to stay here as these lingering emotions consume you, then you might just start becoming our MC. And that could spell trouble for me.” he said the last part in such a soft tone you were barely able to hear.
“Are those emotions really so wrong? Both of us have every right to feel that way”
“While I agree with you, think about how your demons will feel when you return and hate them.”
“Not everything is about them.”
Barbatos sighed and then grabbed your arm harshly. “Do you want to get home or not?”
You stayed silent for a second then said yes, to which he let out a sigh of relief.
“Well then we must go, the sooner the better.”
You agreed and followed him silently through the castle, making sure to avoid any signs of Diavolo.
However as you continued to follow him out, you still couldn’t shake the feeling that he wasn’t to be trusted.
After all, just what was he playing at this time?

It's no wonder he ends up falling in love with her. *Requested by anon Link to A03 or read below! Against all of his better judgement, Aaron is kind of creeping on his new next door neighbor.
He is absolutely the type of man, any other time, to approach a woman he’s interested in and introduce himself, look for a way to connect, some common ground, but this is no ordinary woman.
She is out of his league in so many ways: young, beautiful, unique, free-spirited, the type of person who turns heads when she walks down the street. There’s not a chance in hell she would look twice at an old, stuffy, monotone suit with a seven year old son and perpetual bags under his eyes. That’s not him feeling bad about himself, it’s just the way the world works.
The first time he saw her, she was getting on the elevator while he was getting off of it, and they’d bumped into each other; she was wearing a short, flowy dress, and she’d smiled at him, apologized, eyes sparkling, smelling like she’d spent all day in the sunshine. It was the only time since Haley he’d ever entertained the idea of love at first sight.
She keeps to herself most of the time, gives off the air of being really cool and mysterious; their paths have crossed a few times since then—at the bank of mailboxes downstairs, in the hallway they share, once during a false alarm fire alarm—but he enjoys watching her paint more than anything.
They have balconies next to each other, and one night when he was tending to his herb garden—Jack enjoys watching the plants grow, and picking the herbs, Aaron likes to eat them—he spotted her standing on hers, facing away from him, in cut off jean shorts and a baggy t-shirt, barefoot. She’d been painting the city, the sky, with the sunset glowing behind her like she was the work of art, and he actually felt an ache in his chest, the feeling of missing someone he’s never really met.
Since that night, he’s started taking his work outside in the evenings after Jack goes to bed, and sitting in near silence while she paints, hums—sometimes songs he knows, sometimes songs he doesn’t. The first time he goes out before she does, she says hello when she drags her easel out, so he starts to say hello to her when she beats him there, too, but that’s pretty much the extent of their interaction. One evening when Aaron and Jack are getting home from dinner, she is lugging a canvas bigger than she is through the hallway and Jack almost runs headfirst into it; when he looks up, he exclaims about how big it is, and pretty—it’s covered with colors, something abstract and cheerful, and even if he’d seen it on the side of the road, he would have just known that she painted it. (That may be a good indicator that he’s getting in a little too deep.)
“Wow, that’s the biggest painting I’ve ever seen! And so many colors,” Jack says, awed. Aaron puts his hands on his shoulders to keep him out of her way; they’re already bothering her enough, when she’s clearly trying to get that giant thing home.
“It’s pretty cool, isn’t it? I carry bigger pieces around at my studio, believe it or not,” she says to him, poking her head around the side to look at him.
“You have a studio?” His eyes are wide with interest; his favorite subject has always been art, as evidenced by their refrigerator, which is covered in drawings. She offers him an even brighter smile.
“I do! It’s not far from here; it’s called Live in Color. There’s a big rainbow painted on the side.”
“That’s so cool; it must be awesome to have your own studio.” Aaron loves that Jack seems to be so passionate about this, but the way they are obviously holding her up has him feeling awkward; he tugs gently on Jack’s backpack.
“That is really cool, bud, but we should let her go. I’m sure that’s heavy.” She smiles, shrugs.
“It’s no trouble. Hey, actually, we have some children’s art classes at the studio, and you look like you’d fit right in with the Green group—ages 7-9?” She looks up at Aaron, who nods. “Maybe we can talk dad into bringing you down sometime. We do painting, drawing, and crafts, it’s really fun.” She’s still looking right at Aaron, gives him a little wink, and he swears to god he gets butterflies in his stomach.
He’s a grown man. A federal agent. With butterflies. It’s insane.
“Oh man, dad, please? Can I take classes at her studio pleeease?” Jack tugs on the sleeve of his suit, and he nods, smiles down at him.
“Yeah, absolutely, Jack. We’ll go down and get more information tomorrow?” he offers, to both placate him and finally free the poor girl from the conversation; he nods excitedly, and she smiles, looks sweet, genuinely happy Jack is so excited to take the class.
“Cool, I look forward to seeing you guys there. Actually, if you give me one sec, I can grab my card for you.” She passes them, carrying the canvas and looking effortless while she does it; she props it up against the wall to get her keys out, unlocks her door and heads in, pops back out with a business card in a vivid watercolor yellow. “It has the address and phone number for the studio on the front, and I put my cell on the back; I figured it couldn’t hurt, considering we live next door to each other. Now you know who to call if you ever have an art emergency.”
He takes the card from her fingers, flips it over just to see the handwritten name and number; he knew her script would be lovely, and it is, easy and flowing and natural. It suits her. He tries not to grin, or flush, or otherwise be awkward about the fact that she just gave him her phone number, however innocently.
“Thank you. We’ll see you tomorrow.” They turn to head for their apartment, and she clears her throat; he smiles a little, turns back, and she’s leaning casually up against the canvas with her arms crossed.
“You know my name now. What’s yours?” She’s just being polite, but he gets the goddamn butterflies again.
“Aaron.” She smiles, something beautiful and a little wild.
“Okay, Aaron. See you outside.” From then on, most of their free time, be it evenings or weekends, is spent at the studio. Aaron isn’t the only parent who sticks around—it’s an art class, not a daycare, he doesn’t feel right just dropping Jack off and leaving him there—and he’s also not the only parent, it seems, who is aware of his beautiful young neighbor.
“She’s incredible, right?” another dad says to him one evening, over by the coffee. Aaron looks him over briefly—it’s a job hazard, he sizes up everyone, but he already has a weird feeling about this guy. “I’ve been bringing my kid here for a month just to look at that little ass running around. My wife just thinks our daughter is just really into art.” He says it with a laugh, like that’s a ridiculous concept. Aaron feels himself start to boil.
“You shouldn’t be disrespectful. She’s doing a great thing here, for the children; she’s not doing it for you to ogle her.” He feels a little hypocritical, because he is also looking, but not like this guy. He knows guys like this. He puts away guys like this.
He glances over at Aaron, looking a little taken aback that someone actually commented on his behavior, then rolls his eyes.
“She doesn’t need you to defend her honor, buddy. She wouldn’t run around here in those overalls if she didn’t want us looking. It’s job security.” She’s wearing the overalls tonight, denim shorts with one of the straps unhooked, a t-shirt underneath, but it’s not as if she’s performing a striptease. She just looks like an artist, covered in drips of paint, smiling as she looks at the kids’ pictures over their shoulders. Aaron really, really hates this guy.
“In my experience, women usually dress for themselves; they probably have pockets, easier to keep things at hand that she may need, and it’s warm in here, so she’s likely dressing for comfort. She’s certainly not dressing for you.”
As if she can sense the tension, she looks over at them, flicks her eyes over Aaron, then the other guy, and walks over with a soft smile on her face.
“Hey, Aaron, Jack really wanted you to see what he’s working on.” She reaches out a hand, wraps it around his wrist and guides him over to Jack’s table. “I figured I’d save you,” she says when they’re out of earshot. “That guy sucks. He’s always saying creepy things to me and Alaina.”
“You should ask him to leave if he makes you uncomfortable,” he says, looking down at her with worry. “I can do it.” She shrugs.
“I would, but his daughter really does enjoy the class, and it’s not fair to her that her dad’s disgusting. It’s nothing we can’t handle.” She squeezes his wrist lightly. “Thanks, though. Hey Jack, show dad your project.” He peers over his shoulder, and it’s a pink and orange skyline, much like the one he saw her painting that first time on the balcony. “I asked the kids to paint my favorite thing today, and that’s sunset.”
“I saw you painting this one night,” he says, and then he feels abruptly like an idiot. She just smiles at him though, nods.
“Yeah, I’m a sucker for a beautiful sunset. It makes you feel like, just because the day ends, it doesn’t have to mean things are over; it’s just one of life’s beautiful natural transitions. And the colors are to die for: peach, coral, jasmine, rose, tiger’s eye.” He finds himself unexpectedly touched by her description, smiles softly to shake himself of the emotions.
“The way you see the world is extraordinary. To me it’s just kind of… orange.” She returns his expression, but softer, and squeezes his wrist again; he didn’t even realize she was still holding it.
“Sounds like you need some art in your heart. I give lessons for adults, too; you could even come over and paint with me on my balcony, some time. Special neighbor privileges.”
The thought of being with her on her balcony while she paints is almost overwhelming, which he finds funny, considering he currently sits no more than twenty feet away. There is an intimacy about it, while they both do their work in the cool, quiet breeze, but standing like this, close enough to touch, with the late day sun on her face while she talks about colors… he’s not sure he could handle it without falling in love.
She pats him on the back, moves on to another child, and he tells Jack what a great job he’s doing; his face is lit up, so happy, and regardless of the neighbor, he’s glad they stumbled upon this hobby.
When they pack up to leave, the jerk from earlier comes up to him, leans in to speak in a hushed voice. “You should have just told me you were fucking her. I would have backed off.” He blinks, but the guy and his daughter are walking out the door before he finds himself able to do more than that. About a week later, he goes over for that lesson almost by accident. Jack is at Jessica’s for the night at his request, and Aaron was planning to order takeout and have a paperwork cramming session, but when goes out onto the balcony, phone in hand to place an order, his neighbor is standing on hers like she’s waiting for him.
“Hey. I saw you don’t have Jack; I made some pasta with vodka sauce, if you’re hungry. I always prepare too much.” He sets his phone on the table, walks over to the railing to get a little closer.
“Uh. Sure. I have fresh basil growing here; trade?” She smiles, nods.
“Yeah, sounds delicious. I’ll be right back.” She ducks inside, returns a few moments later with two dishes of steaming, saucy pasta, sets one down on her table and gets right up against her railing, hands the other over to him across his. “That one’s for you,” she says, handing him an orange plate, and he sets it down, picks a few good looking leaves from his basil plant and tears them up, drops them on top. “And this one’s for me.” She reaches, holds a green plate over the gap between their porches, and he adds some basil to it before she pulls it back, takes a deep sniff. “God, it smells so good and fresh. Thank you, Aaron.”
“Thank you, it looks great.” He goes to sit at his table with it, but she scoots her chair closer to the railing, closer to his balcony, so he does the same. They make easy small talk while they eat, mostly about Jack, a little about her studio and his work.
“FBI, huh? I can definitely see that, with your suits, and your… neutrals.” She cringes when she says it, and it makes him laugh.
“I’m sorry I can’t wear paint covered overalls to the office,” he teases, and she shoots him a playfully affronted look, grins.
“You love my paint covered overalls—and for the record, you’d look great in them. You should find a pair. Preferably not black.” He flushes a little at that, but she doesn’t notice, just finishes up her pasta with a sigh of contentment. “That was so good, thanks again for the basil.”
“You’re welcome; thanks for feeding me something other than the takeout I planned to have.” He stands up, gestures to his apartment. “I’ll wash the plate and then hand it back over.”
“Why don’t you just bring it over and come paint with me for a little while? If you want,” she tacks on, and for the first time she seems a little nervous. “I’m not trying to be pushy, I just think it would be fun.”
It’s not that he doesn’t want to; it would be amazing to watch her paint up close and personal. He’s just also afraid he’ll pass the point of no return if he does it, and he can’t handle any more heartache. He only very recently got to a place where just waking up in the morning no longer causes him agony.
It’s the look on her face, though, soft and sweet and open, that makes his decision for him.
“Yeah, okay. I’d like that.” She grins.
“I’ll unlock the door.”
She’s dragging out her easel when he walks through the door; her apartment is stark white walls with vibrant furniture, artwork, canvases propped up against every bare spot along the wall, paints and brushes and charcoal and pencils on every surface. It’s exactly what he would have expected, warm and lived-in and comforting, very unlike the mostly black and gray interior of his own apartment. She smiles when she sees him.
“Hey! Can you grab that tray of paint on your way out?” she asks, and he picks up what looks kind of like an ice cube tray filled with many different colors, carries it out to the balcony with him. She has a canvas propped up, a little larger than a computer monitor, and she’s gotten started, but he can’t tell what it’s going to be just yet. When he hands her the paint she looks down at it, peers around the edge of the canvas like she’s comparing something. He’s so intrigued, curious about the way her mind works, what she’s thinking.
“What are you painting?” he asks when she picks up a brush, sets it down, picks up another. She smiles at him.
“Well, we’re painting that.” She points to the street, where there’s a rusty, pale blue antique car parked—he says that loosely, because it looks broken down—in the alley. Aaron chuckles softly.
“We’re going to paint that? It’s a little… grim.”
“Yes. It’s part of a series I just decided to create: ‘Beauty in the Ordinary.’” She sighs, and he’s surprised to see that her eyes are a little wet. She wipes the back of her hand over her eyes. “You know Bob Ross, right? Everyone knows Bob Ross.” He nods.
“Yes; the guy who paints the happy trees on PBS.”
“Right. I used to watch him growing up, and I vividly remember something he said once, about needing both darkness and light in life and in painting. ‘You have to have a little sadness once in a while to know when the good times come. I’m waiting on the good times now.’” She sniffles, exhales softly. “I’m waiting on the good times too. Sometimes looking at things like this car, and forcing myself to find something beautiful in it, is the easiest way to get through the day. Does that make sense?” He swallows hard when she looks up at him, because aside from Jack, she has been the lightest part of his life since the first time they passed each other on the elevator.
“Yeah, it really does.” She shoots him a soft, slightly sadder smile, and then explains about the paints a little, shows him the difference in the brushes, lets him feel the weight of them, the textures of the bristles.
She starts painting the car—the background is mostly finished—and he’s more than happy to watch, to hear her talk about her process. She asks if she can use his forearm to mix paints, and he turns it over, wrist up, tries not to smile too hard when she puts some dark blue on him, then white, mixing them and then comparing them to the car on the street. He looks down at her, the concentration on her face, the softness in her eyes, and is met with the sudden desire to brush a line of paint over her nose and make her laugh and kiss her breathless.
“Okay, your turn,” she says when she’s about halfway done with the car. She puts her hands on the backs of his arms, pulls him in front of the canvas so she’s between him and the railing. “You’ve been watching me, so you know what to do.” He has been watching her, but not necessarily for her technique, so he’s a little nervous; he dips the brush in the blue paint but hesitates to make a stroke. “I have faith in you, Aaron. Here.”
She wraps her fingers around his hand, guides him toward the canvas, and together they make a wide, curved line, rounding out the bumper. It doesn’t look half bad.
“It gets easier once you understand the relationship between specific paint, specific brushes, and your hands,” she says softly, and she helps him paint another line. “Are you having fun? You look stressed,” she teases, and he makes it a point to relax his face.
“I’m having a lot of fun,” he says, looking down at her; they make eye contact for a long moment, and she leans a little closer, and he leans a little closer, and then he accidentally dabs a blob of blue onto the canvas. He pulls back, grimaces, deflates. “I made a mistake. You can’t erase paint, right?” She laughs softly, takes the brush from his hand.
“No, you can’t erase paint, but as Mr. Ross would say, ‘There are no mistakes, only happy accidents.’” She gets her fingers close to the tip of the brush, makes a few quick movements, then grabs another brush, dips it in green. When she pulls back, there is a little blue flower growing out of a patch of grass where his blob used to be. He exhales, a little amazed.
“If only the mistakes we make in life were that easy to fix,” he says, and she nods.
“Yeah, that would be nice, but a lot of the time we find a way to turn them into beautiful things eventually. Are you willing to give it another shot?” He says yes, and she guides his hand for a while, then just hovers near it, then just instructs him on what to do. It’s dark before their painting is finished, and she carries it inside to dry, then takes him to the kitchen sink to scrub the paint off of his arm.
“Thanks for having me over; I had a really good time,” he murmurs as she dries his clean skin. She looks up, smiles softly, nods her head.
“I had a really good time too. I’m glad you came over; you’re welcome to join me any time.”
He says goodbye, heads home, looks at his stack of work with a groan, and brews a pot of coffee. He’s in for a long night, but he wouldn’t change his evening for anything. Life is much the same for the next few weeks: school and work, Jack’s art class at the studio a couple times a week, painting on the balcony on the weekend, with and without Jack. When Jack joins them for the first time, she pulls out a big box of markers and thick sheets of paper and he draws elaborate scenes while they talk and paint together. When Aaron makes mistakes, she’s never upset, just turns them into perfect little details that end up being his favorite parts of the paintings.
“What ever happened with your ‘Beauty in the Ordinary’ series?” he asks one evening while they’re painting some ocean waves. “Did I cause you enough trouble with the car to give up?” She looks down at the ground, looks a little shy, then shakes her head and smiles.
“No, you didn’t make me want to give up. I’ve been working on it at the studio. You’ll see it when it’s all done, I plan to hang them there.”
“Looking forward to it,” he tells her, and then Jack tugs on her shorts, shows them the picture he drew of the ocean, too.
Later that week, the team takes a case, and on the day he’s set to come home, Jessica drops Jack off at the studio with the plan that Aaron will pick him up when his flight lands. Due to some weather between where the team is and home, they get a little delayed; he doesn’t want to make Jessica head back out that way almost immediately after dropping him off, but he’s not sure who else he could ask to pick Jack up. It’s almost a stupid length of time before it dawns on him to call the studio.
“Life in Color, this is Alaina.”
“Alaina, hi, this is Jack’s dad—” He has his whole spiel prepared, but she cuts him off.
“Oh, sure, hang on a sec, she’s right here. It’s Jack’s dad,” she says, but it sounds further away, like she’s trying to cover the receiver. After a moment, his neighbor picks up.
“Aaron, hi. Jack said you were working.”
“Yeah, I was, and I’m supposed to pick him up after class, but our flight was delayed.” He doesn’t know how to ask for help with Jack; even with all the time they’ve been spending together, she still makes him a little nervous. Luckily, he doesn’t have to figure that part out on his own.
“Hey, that’s no problem. If it’s okay with you, I’ll just take him home with me. I’ll order pizza, we’ll draw, and you can just stop by when you’re home and pick him up.” He breathes a sigh of relief, runs a hand over the back of his head.
“That would be perfect. Thank you—I’ll owe you one.”
“You don’t owe me anything. Hanging out with your mini me is reward enough; he’s painting something special for you today, won’t let me see it.” That makes him smile, and he feels so warm at the prospect of picking him up from her bright apartment, seeing his artwork, her smile. After a long, draining day like this one, it’s exactly what he needs.
“I’ll have to remain in suspense until tonight, I guess. Can you let him know I said hi? And thank you, I’ll see you later tonight.”
“Of course. We’ll see you then.”
It’s late, after nine, by the time he makes it home. He doesn’t even take his bags inside, just drops them outside his door and knocks softly on hers. She answers with a smile, ushers him in, asks him if he’d like a drink and gets them each a beer.
Jack is in her room, asleep, so they have a little time to chat; she asks about his flight, his case, and he asks about the studio, and she gets a little shy when it comes to that topic, clears her throat.
“Um. I have Jack’s secret project, if you want to see it. He said I could show you.” He’s not sure why that would make her nervous—at least, until he sees it.
The background is all watercolors, a gradient of rainbow colors starting with pink at the top and ending with a soft purple at the bottom. Over that, in black marker, he’s drawn the three of them, with a big heart around them.
“Tonight’s theme was the thing that makes you the happiest, and he said he’s the happiest when the three of us are on the balcony together. It was… really, really sweet.” She looks up at him, brushes a hand over the crown of her head. “If I’m being honest, that’s when I’m the happiest, too.” He takes the picture from her hands, runs his fingers over it, and smiles, feeling a warm ache in his chest—not like before, not like losing someone he’s never really met, but like finding something he never really planned on.
“That’s when I’m the happiest, too,” he agrees, and when he looks up, she looks determined, like she does when trying to find just the right shade of paint. She takes Jack’s picture out of his hand, sets it on the counter, and then pulls him down by the lapels of his suit, kisses him long and slow. His hands move to her waist, keeping her close, and eventually she pauses for breath, looks at him again, and then wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him some more.
“I haven’t stopped thinking about you since the first time I saw you—tall and dark and serious, striding out of the elevator. So intriguing, mysterious,” she breathes when they separate again. “I wanted to know everything about you.”
“Are you kidding?” he asks, huffing a laugh. “I’m boring, but you are so vibrant, so full of life; I felt like you were everything I wasn’t, and I wanted to know you so badly.”
“You know me now; would you like to keep getting to know me?” It’s one of the easiest questions he’s ever been asked; he nods, and she beams, and he lifts her into his arms and carries her to the couch, drapes himself over her while she leans back against the cushions, pulling him closer.
They make out like neither of them have a care in the world—god, how long has it been since he’s made out with someone?—her fingers scraping through his hair, his hands on her bare waist when her shirt rides up, and she’s in the process of pushing his jacket off his shoulders when they hear a sound from the other room that startles them apart. Jack.
“I’ll go check on him,” Aaron says, and when he goes into her room Jack is still snuggled up on her bed sound asleep. It looks like some canvases fell over, though, and he stoops to pick them up, then spots the car they painted together. He turns and she’s right behind him, skids to a stop. “I thought you said these were at the studio?”
“They were,” she says, and she looks nervous again. “But I changed my mind about hanging them there. They felt too personal.” He runs his hand over the car and sees where she’s coming from; this one feels personal to him, too.
“Can I see the rest?” he asks. “Only if you want to show me them.”
“You’re the only one I want to show them to,” she says with a soft smile, and she grabs a few more canvases, carries them into the light of the living room. “Beauty in the ordinary, remember.” He remembers, could never forget.
She turns one over, and it’s a kitchen sink, and in the kitchen sink is an orange plate with a fork resting on it—like the plate she’d given him with the pasta on it. She turns one over and it’s a man’s hand, holding a paintbrush, with pale blue paint on his forearm. The next one is a little herb garden on a balcony; the next one is a view from above, of a sandy haired boy with markers all around him. The last one is an open elevator—ripe with possibilities.
When he looks up at her, she’s got tears in her eyes, and one slips down her cheek.
“So, I think I’ve found my good times.” She smiles through her tears, and he takes her face in his hands and kisses the salt from her lips. “I love you,” she says when he pulls back to wipe her face with his sleeve, and he kisses her softly, again and again, and tells her he loves her, too. The next weekend, Jack is at Jessica’s for a sleepover, and Aaron has been enlisted to help with an art project. He walks next door, knocks lightly, and enters the living room; he is met with a very deep, passionate kiss and a smile, and instructions to help move the furniture out of the way.
“I’m really curious what kind of art requires this much floor space,” he says, shoving her couch back against the wall, and she sinks her teeth into her bottom lip, a move he has been unable to resist since she did it the first time they had sex. She knows it’s a weakness, exploits it, and he loves every minute of it.
“You’ll see, but I promise you’re going to like it.” When they clear the floor, she grabs a large, rolled-up fabric canvas and lays it out in the middle of the room, then drops three bottles of paint—one is yellow (jasmine), one is orange (peach), and one is kind of pink (coral? He’s still not sure.)—onto it. “You can obviously say no if you want, but I wanted something over my bed with the sunset colors, and I found this…” She steps closer to him, runs her hands down his chest, guides him down for a kiss so delicious he loses his train of thought. “It’s sex art; we put the paint on the canvas, and on ourselves, and… you know, go at it. What do you think?”
He thinks he really, really loves art now, even more than he thought possible.
“So we have paint-covered sex and then you just hang it on the wall? Like regular art?”
“Yep, I got the supplies I’ll need to hang it; letting it dry will probably take the longest. I figured we could shower while it’s drying, maybe go for round two, if you’re up for it.” She moves her hand to his waist, slips it inside his shorts, and he pulls her closer to his body. “Are you up for it, Aaron?”
That is an understatement.
Undressing happens extremely fast, because this is really sexy and they’re kind of in a phase where they can’t keep their hands off of each other anyway. She pulls her hair up onto the top of her head to try to minimize the amount of paint in it, and then she pours paint on the canvas, turns around and drizzles some on his back and tells him to lay down.
“I think we should probably change positions often so we get a lot of motion on the canvas; I apologize to your old knees in advance,” she teases, but she soothes the sting of her words by pouring paint on herself and then laying between his legs and licking at his dick. “Do some stuff with your hands; I want to see those big handprints on my wall,” she murmurs, and he groans, puts his palms down in the paint and drags them through it.
She leans up a little, sliding her knees through some yellow paint, sucks him fully, deeply into her mouth for couple of minutes, and then stretches forward and puts an orange hand right in the middle of his chest; the look in her eyes is playful, and he reaches out with one finger, hooks it under her chin, and guides her off and up so they can kiss.
“Your turn,” he says with a smirk, and then he gets her onto her back and ducks between her legs, hopes she doesn’t grab for his hair like she usually does. He rubs his pointed tongue over her clit, waits for the mmm it always elicits, and looks up at her, covers each of her breasts with a paint-covered palm and squeezes. “Leave handprints for me,” he leans up and reminds her, kissing her stomach, and she plants her hands, then presses up and grabs his shoulder, smearing pink down his back. “Oh, you wanted more of that?”
“Don’t tease me, the paint will dry,” she whines, and he spreads her thighs wider with his elbows and licks her pussy quickly, until she’s squirming against the canvas and panting for more. “Come here, come here.”
He’s not ready for that, though, paint or not, wants her to come from this; he takes his hands off of her, dips them in the paint again and presses down, then puts his hands under her ass and brings her closer so he can fuck her with his tongue, quick and deep and slick.
“Aaron, Aaron, god.” She slides her hands down his arms, over his neck, digs her nails in when she comes moaning like music.
While she catches her breath, so gorgeous, she sticks her arms out like she’s making a snow angel, and he catches her while she’s off guard and turns her onto her stomach, puts his hands on the smears of paint he’s already left on her ass, and slides inside.
“Oh my god; I was trying to impress you with this sexy art project, but you’re rocking my world.” She’s breathless, pressing back into his thrusts and painting with her entire body. God, he loves her mind.
“You know I always take your projects very seriously,” he says, leaning forward to whisper in her ear, and she groans, laughs.
“Yes you do. From the side? Let’s lay diagonally.” They shift, and he hooks his chin over her shoulder, kisses her neck and huffs hot against her hair. “Hmm, love it like this,” she sighs, and she reaches back to press her hand to his hip, holding him while he moves inside her. “I love you.”
“Love you. I want you to finish on top of me,” he instructs with a wet kiss to her throat, and she nods against his lips.
“Yeah, next; I’m getting close.” A few more strokes and she gets up onto her knees, lets him lay back, propped up on his arms, and climbs on top of him; she kisses him slow and dirty and then runs her hands over him, sits back on his dick and glides up and down. “You wanna come like this too? I owe you a little world rocking,” she says with a flick of her tongue over his bottom lip, and he nods, squeezes her thigh.
“It’s the least you can do after making me move all the heavy furniture.” She rolls her eyes but kisses his chin, down his throat, and bounces harder on him, all delicious eye contact and moans. “Mmm. Just like that, baby, come for me.”
“Fuck. I will, I will.” She wraps a hand around the back of his neck, kisses him kind of rough and with lots of tongue, and then tips her head back and climaxes, clenches, wrings his orgasm out of him so quickly it’s almost jarring. “Oh, yes Aaron. So good,” she mumbles, and then he lays back, out of breath, and she slides out of his lap and lays beside him, out of breath too.
After a moment, she looks over at him, smiles, and swipes a pink fingertip over his cheek.
“This is the hottest thing I’ve ever done with anyone. I’m glad I got to do it with you.” He rolls on top of her, presses a kiss to her nose, and nods.
“Me too. You know,” he adds after a moment, “my bedroom could use some artwork, too.” She grins, wraps her arms around him and squeezes tight.
“You’re right; I think we should do yours in blue: liberty, that’s dark blue; periwinkle, that’s light blue; maybe steel gray, too.”
“You’re the expert. I’m just your paintbrush.” Her hands smooth up his back, and contentment washes over him like a warm breeze.
“Hmm. I like the sound of that. Want to get cleaned up?”
Cleaning up is almost as fun as making the mess, because they’re well and truly covered, and when the canvas dries, the sunset colors are almost as beautiful as the ones she used the first time he ever saw her paint. Never in a million years
Squirrel-anon requested: I'm wondering if you're willing to write Makkari from Eternals? Also you can do anything you desire. Maybe fluffy, hurt/comfort or something like that. I don't mind a happy ending for Makkari.
A/n: You can read this spoiler free if you haven’t seen the Eternals. Sign language is italicized
“I won’t make it tonight, but I’ll make it up to you, I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning?” Makkari read the text for the fifth time, tears had spilled over the screen. You and Makkari had been dating for almost a year now, but lately you seem to become more and more distant towards her. The last few week you suddenly worked late hours, missed dinners and now the day before your anniversary you cancelled again.
It wasn’t that she didn’t trust you, but she needed to put her anxiety to a rest. She opened the find my friend up to see where you were. Your location was a familiar one, the coffeeshop the two of you always went to for breakfast. It was also the place you went to grab a drink when you needed a moment of peace. But why would you go there if you we supposed to meet her. If you needed that, why wouldn’t you just tell her. Her thoughts went all over the place, the worst scenario kept popping into her head. Would you really have enough of her and would you actually do that to her instead of telling her. She had to prove to herself that you weren’t cheating on her. Makkari took another look at the location before going out. She could have ran to the coffeeshop in a mere second, but her heavy heart slowed her down. With every step she took, time seemed to slow down. Eventually she made it to the coffeeshop, only one glance through the glass was enough. There you were laughing, touch the hand of someone she had never seen before. Makkari felt her whole world crumbling down right that moment and she ran home crying.
The next morning you had woken up early and bought a big bouquet of Makkari her favorite flowers, before heading over there. You rang the bell waiting for her to open the door, but there was no reaction. You rang the bell again, but again no response. You pulled the key from your bag, one you hardly used because you didn’t want to startle her with your sudden presence. “Makkari?” of course you knew she wouldn’t respond, but you always called her name. You eventually found her in the backroom sitting in the chair staring outside, you tapped your foot twice on the floor to announce your presence. But she again didn’t respond. You walked around the chair and softly touched her arm, finally triggering a response only not one you expected. “Go away!” You had never seen her this upset, her eyes were filled with tears but they also spit fire. “Makkari, what’s wrong? What happened?” You tried to reach out to her, but she pushed you away. “I saw you.” Her anger was emphasized by her sign. “Saw me?” You were only more confused, you hadn’t seen her all week. “I saw you yesterday, after you stood me up. I know you cheated on me!” You placed the bouquet of flowers on the table “Please let me explain.” “I don’t want to hear it!” ‘I would never cheat on you.’ You signed ‘Never in a million years, would I cheat on the love of my life.” Makkari her eyes opened wider, you had never signed before in the year you were together. You tried of course, she had thought you words but never full sentences like that. ‘You know sign?’ ‘An old friend of me helped learn it, I spend evening and evenings because I wanted to surprise you. I wanted you to know how committed I am to you and learn so we can communicate better.’ ‘The person I saw you with yesterday?’ ‘My friend.’ ‘You didn’t cheat?’ ‘Never, all I wanted was to surprise you.’ Makkari threw her arms around you and held you as tight as she could. You didn’t know how long she hugged you like that, but you just held her. Until she let go of you and just held your hands “Can I show you what I wanted my first words of sign to be?” You asked when she looked at your lips again. Makkari nodded and let go of your hands, so you were finally able to sign ‘I Love You’ to her.

Limp Noodle ~ S.H.
A/n: I have never once been good at making choices so I’ll be doing both OOF! This request is dirt old but whatever. I’m actually writing requests now look at me go!
Request: “...prompt 20 or 21 Steve Harrington x clumsy male reader” by anon
#20 (here): “I can’t do this without you”
#21: “Guess who broke their nose! Me. It’s me. I broke my nose.”
Word Count: 2000+
MASTERLIST
“Are you SURE that this is a good idea?” The words came from Y/n as Steve parked the car, waving through the windshield window at Jonatan, Nancy, Robin and a new friend, Bianca. They’d all decided on a triple date and like idiots they’d let Steve, Bianca, and Nancy decide so they were now all headed on a hike. Robin was the least athletic of all of them and hated exercise of any kind. Jonathan was the one in the group who hated being outside in the sun and much preferred being inside cuddled on the could other swaddled in bed. Y/n... well Y/n was the single most clumsy person you’ve ever met.
Now, take whatever image that popped in your head when I said that and then make it ten times worse. Then take THAT mental image and multiply by it by ten AGAIN. Y/n was worse. He was absolutely sure he was going to thrip and fall over the side of some steep hill and fully die. He would be lucky to make it out of this trip without a stick going through his eye. Y/n and the outdoors didn’t mix. They never had. He could barely walk, let alone when it was uphill and outside and humid and hard to breathe and everyone was so beautiful and distracting.
Steve didn’t agree with that analysis.
“This is a great idea actually,” Steve decided with complete confidence. “Don’t worry about it okay? You’ll be fine.”
“Incorrect,” Y/n Aries immediately. “We started dating because I tripped seven times and you caught me every single one. I tripped seven times in three days Steve - and that was just the, what, one hour a day you’re with me? In THREE HOURS I TRIPPED SEVEN TIMES!” He was whisper yelling, getting rather heated. “I’m going to knock my head into a tree and bleed out.”
Steve laughed. He reached over, taking his boyfriend’s hands. “Do you trust me?”
Y/n’s shoulders sagged. “That is a cheap trick, Harrington.”
In response Steve only raised his eyebrows. When Y/n refused to answer, Steve sighed. “Y/n. Do you trust me?”
Closing his eyes a second, Y/n held in a sigh. When he opened them again, he managed a small smile. “Yeah. I trust you.” Steve went to get out of the car and Y/n caught his wrist. “Just promise you’re going to stay with me okay? I can’t do this without you. I’m serious.”
Steve rolled his eyes. “Come on Drama King.” They both got out and made their way over to the other four.
“Hey guys!” Nancy greeted warmly. She had calmed a lot since Y/n had first met her. Darkened. But she was still pleasant enough, and Y/n tolerated her for Steve. He didn’t know why they were all friends after Nancy’s brutal ripping up Steve’s heart but... he expected it was that trauma bonding things that Steve and Robin refused to ever talk about with Y/n in the room.
“Hey bestie.” Robin winked at Y/n and he felt himself relax. Around her he always felt more comfortable. She got him on a much deeper level than Steve did. She had actually been the one to set them up after failure after failure of Steve’s attempts on girls who came to the ice cream shop they met at originally. It had gone up in flames recently, but they’d snagged a job at a movie store so they still worked together. Y/n was pretty sure neither of them would have it any other way, even if they sometimes pretended to hate each other.
“Hey loser,” Y/n joked back. Robin shoved him and he laughed, accidentally ramming into Jonathan as his feet almost came out underneath him. “Sorry,” Y/n mumbled.
Robin scoffed in amusement. “I always forget you have two backward feet.” This was something she said often, in reference to the popular statement of ‘two left feet’. One day Robin had proclaimed that Y/n was something worse than two left feet, and then being backward had kicked off as an inside joke.
“I’d you have that problem standing still, how do you think you’re going to do on a hike?” It seemed Bianca was trying to get in on the joking, but it hit a hard cord with Y/n.
He wasn’t in the mood to joke. “What can I say? Great day to die.” He put on the fakest smile ever. “Come on everyone!” Then he began to surge ahead, onto the trail, and the others scrambled to catch up.
It didn’t tale long for Nancy and Bianca to hit the head of the trail. Steve dutifully stayed by Y/n, but he watched the girls head with a sort of forlorness. Because Y/n was so slow and Jonathan and Robin lagged even behind him, the two girls in front were racing up and down the steep sides of the path they were on, jumping over logs and hopping up on stumps to make the path harder. They were laughing hard and having a great time. Y/n knew that Steve desperately wanted to join them.
What kind of a boyfriend would Y/n be to stop him? “Go on,” Y/n sighed, nudging Steve forward encouragingly.
Steve looked at Y/n with an expression that tried far too hard at innocence to succeed. It was so obvious he was full of crap that Y/n was rolling his eyes before the brunette even spoke. “What? What do you mean? I’m having a great time with my boyfriend which was the point of this whole thing. Have I bored you already?”
“No, but I’ve bored you. Go and do parkour with the bad ass chicks up there. Go on.” Steve hesitated, but when Y/n shot him a look, he finally did speed ahead to catch up and join in the unnecessary shenanigans that gave Y/n extreme anxiety just imagining himself doing. He sighed watching Nancy and Steve. He knew that things were WAY over between them, but Y/n found a little jealousy in the way they worked together so fluidly. They were perfect for each other - even as friends. She just kept up with him and challenged him in a way that Y/n never could, and Steve thrived.
Slowing down in his moment of annoyance, Robin and Jonathan caught up to him. “Welcome to the world of those who have to sit back and wonder why they’re not still dating,” Jonathan sighed. His voice was as laced with bitterness as Y/n’s thoughts were.
“They’re so complimentary,” Y/n complained.
“You could argue that you guys are the same,” Robin pointed out. “You both hate doing anything outside or away from home. You both love reading and photography. I mean Y/n’s incredible view of the world allows him to be a great writer, but it also connects you two. Writing and photography aren’t far from each other and you prod that every day. Nancy can’t slow down enough to appreciate things like Jonathan does, and we all know Steve is no reader.” She chuckled. “And we’ll never know how awkward and snappy got buff and pretty.”
Jonathan and Y/n smiled at that. “Imagine another world where Nancy and Steve stayed together. Then maybe you and me would have-“ suddenly he lost his words as he tripped, and Jonathan reached out to catch him. The two boys busted up laughing. “That’s the second I have to say both sorry and thank you for your reflexes Mr. Byers.”
“Ah anytime. That’s what friends do. Share interests and talk about alternative world where they’re dating and catch each other when they almost die.”
That made Y/n laugh harder.
Suddenly there was a very unpleasant thump and a scream. The three in the back snapped their attention to the three ahead and saw Nancy and Bianca freeze and look back at Steve, who had landed on the ground. His hands had risen to cover his face, and he slowly turned on his side, curling in on himself. It seemed like he’d misstepped at some point and tripped and fallen.
Perhaps Y/n shouldn’t have been the one they worried about on this trip...
-
When they finally got Steve to the hospital, it was a mess. There had been blood everywhere, and Y/n’s weirdly good driving had saved the day in a pinch once again. They’d gotten there quickly and in one piece without getting pulled over.
Only an hour later they were given news. Steve came out with the skin around his nose already bruised and puffy. “Guess Who broke their nose,” he mocked in a song songey voice.
“Me?” Y/n joked.
“Me!” Steve agreed, pointing at himself. “It’s me. I broke my nose.” He slung an arm over Y/n’s shoulders and the other four covered their mouths to hide laughs. People wouldn’t be forgiving in public if it got out that the two men were dating, so they were trying to be lowkey.
The Doctor came over behind Steve. “He’ll be fine. I’ve given him direction son how to ice it and even given him some pain killers to help with the next few hours. But it is just a broken nose, so nothing too severe.”
“Thanks,” Y/n told the Doctor. They left then, everyone heading home. Y/n designated himself in charge of caring for Steve, and called his parents to let them know that Steve ‘got tired’ after the hike and totally knocked out. They didn’t mind, liking that Steve was actually spending time with other kids again, so it went without too much problem.
As Y/n was tucking Steve into bed, Steve caught his hand to still him. “I love you.”
Y/n’s eyes widened. They hadn’t said that yet but... well, if hypotheticals with Jonathan had taught anything today, it was that Y/n was glad he was in this version of things, even if it was a little more complicated this way. So he meant it when he replied, “I love you too Stevie.”
Steve glared. “Not Jonathan?”
“Jon-“ Y/n’s deep confusion cleared as he realized what had been happening right when Steve had tripped. Jonathan and Y/n had been close. Laughing. Talking. Touching. “Oh my god Harrington did you break your nose because you were being a jealous idiot?”
“Maybe,” Steve grumbled, looking away.
Y/n laughed, gently tugging on his chin so their eyes met again. “Please sweetheart, you can’t get rid of me that easily. Me and my two backward feet are going to plague you for the rest of our lives.”
Steve’s eyes got very soft. “Do you really mean that?”
Getting sincere, Y/n leaned down and kissed Steve’s forehead. “Stephen Harrington, I’ve never meant anything more. I know we can’t get married or anything, or even date publicly, but... I don’t care. And maybe that’s some really forward thinking and we haven’t been dating that long, but I fell... a LOT of times in my life. It only made sense that the first time someone ever caught me, it was you. And it made me realize that I was gifted with my two backward feet so that one day I’d fall for you.”
Steve groaned. “That was painfully cheesy.”
“Okay, okay,” Y/n dismissed, rolling his eyes. The sweet moment was completely ruined.
“No seriously I would break my nose again before hearing that-“
Y/n reached over, turning the light off before climbing into bed with Steve. “Shut up Harrington, or I WILL break your nose again.”
Steve laughed before pulling Y/n close so they could fall asleep curled up with each other. “My cheesy, dumb, clumsy boy,” Steve mused quietly.
That made Y/n scoff. “If either of ya is the dumb in this relationship it’s YOU, Harrington.”
“Shut up,” Steve whispered. It was quiet a while before he finally followed up with, “I’d like that future with you too.”
To hide his smile, Y/n mumbled, “Good night Stevie.”
After a second, Steve replied, “Good night, Y/n.” And for now, that was the end of it.

Harry was in a dilemma.
Usually, he could sweep all his issues under the rug, save them for another day, but this one... he couldn't do that. Not because he didn't want to, but because this problem was more than just a dust bunny on his hardwood floor.
Y/N was the problem.
Or to be more precise, his feelings for Y/N were the problem.
Harry had confidence when it came to his crushes. He was smooth, flirty, and snagged almost every single person he's caught feelings for.
But not Y/N.
No, she was almost unreachable, for quite a few reasons.
One, the only reason he knew her, met her, was through a producer he had been working with the past few months. Arlo was massive in the industry and Harry was flattered when Arlo approached him with interest in collaborating. And only a month into working together, he met Y/N.
Harry's head snapped towards the door that had just burst open, a girl barging into the studio that he had never seen before. She was gorgeous, he had to admit, but he couldn't ignore her blatant disrespect for coming in and making a scene while he, Arlo, and a few of his bandmates were working annoyed him to no end.
"Dad! Oh my god, you will not believe what just happened, I was on my way over here and I fucking bumped into Zach," The girl began ranting, approaching Arlo and huffing as she stood next to Arlo's chair. "Of all fucking people I could see just walking down the street, it had to be him. The world is against me today I swear. Anyways, I brought that drum pad you wanted."
She dug into her big brown bag that was slung over her shoulder and pulled out the music board, placing it on the table in front of Arlo.
"Where'd you see him, Y/N? We're about to go on break and I can leave and go kick his ass in," Arlo checked his watch. "7 minutes."
Y/N, Harry now knew her as, sighed and crossed her arms. "He's long gone by now, think he shit his pants when he saw me walking near him."
"Atta girl, thanks for bringing my board too," Arlo smiled up at her from his chair. He then turned to see Harry, and Mitch staring at the two of them. "Oh sorry guys, this is my daughter, Y/N. Y/N, this is Harry and Mitch."
She turned to look at them and smiled wide. "Nice to meet you!"
"You too." They both said in unison, looking at each other with a smile, before focusing back on Y/N.
"We'll be done soon, if you wanna go out and get lunch." Arlo said, turning back to his daughter.
"Sounds good, just text me," Y/N replied, giving him a smile before turning back to the boys. "Nice meeting you guys, again."
And before they could even respond she was gone.
Two, Y/N was younger than him. 6 years younger to be exact. It didn't seem like much, but when put into perspective, she was 21, only just being legally allowed to drink in the States, and Harry was 27. Practically 30, if you ask him, and he was positive Arlo would have his head if he found out Harry liked his daughter.
And three, she doesn't date the people her dad works with.
He had found this out one night when he, Arlo, Y/N, Mitch, and a couple other writers were hanging out at the studio, drinking some wine (she had even exclaimed that this would be her first time drinking red, and Harry was yet again reminded of her age) and chatting after a long day of working.
Harry and Mitch were laughing with Arlo about the first time they met Y/N, and her comments about this “Zach” guy.
“He’s my ex, and had worked with my dad on one shitty song that never got far because he’s just so-- music is just not his thing, to put it nicely. But he was an absolute asshole and after him I made rule to never date anyone Dad works with. It would just go terribly.” She explained, letting Arlo take a few more jabs at the guy before stopping him.
So yeah, Harry was in a dilemma.
In all the time he’d known Y/N, he just kept falling for her. She was kind, funny, beautiful, lit up any room she walked into, and treated Harry like fine porcelain.
She was just fucking perfect.
。:°ஐ
Y/N had probably been in a lot of worse positions than the predicament she was in now.
For example, that time her dad walked in on her and her ex making out in the studio, or her 21st birthday when she got completely wasted and almost got into the wrong car instead of her uber, and the next day found out that the man driving that car was actually a convicted criminal.
So there’s worse things that could happen than her liking Harry.
But it doesn't mean it wasn’t bad.
The thing is, Y/N didn’t fall for anyone easily. Her one and only ex Zach treated her like a queen until he could officially claim her as his. The flowers he gave her before every date remained at the shop and the consistent compliments turned into insults and muttered claims of discontentment.
Hence why he was her ex. It took Y/N quite a long time to work up the courage to end things with him. He was her first kiss, first time, and first boyfriend. She was yet to find her first love, she never really loved Zach. The way he used to treat her in the beginning, she thinks she loved, but him? No, she would never call him her first love.
So when Y/N’s time crush on Harry began to develop into real feelings in such a short span of time, it terrified her. She had really never felt this way about someone before; butterflies would erupt in her stomach every time he shot her a smile and her mind would erupt into pure chaos when his body brushed up against her own.
So yeah, it could be worse, but it certainly wasn't good.
。:°ஐ
Y/N enjoyed spending time at the studio with her dad, and surprisingly, spending time with her dad’s “co-workers”. Even though she didn't usually hang out with the pop stars and spent time mostly with the backing band/producers (they were usually 50 year old men, but they were pretty nice) she enjoyed herself fully, having lunch breaks and talking about where their children when to school and whatnot.
Sometimes though, every blue moon, Y/N would hang out with a super star her dad was working with. Usually when most stars are at the studio all they did was record, which was understandable, but she never had the chance to meet a lot of them.
With Harry though, everything was different. It wasn’t just lunches at the studio, or dinner at someone’s house, no, tonight they were going out to a bar.
It was completely unexpected too, they had just wrapped up a song, and Harry, being in a particularly good mood had yelled out about going to a bar to celebrate. Of course, Y/N ignored his shout, knowing she wasn’t invited, and after Arlo had said something about “not being able to party as much as I used to”, she gave her dad a hug good night and waved a little goodbye to the band.
“Wait!” Harry had exclaimed, chasing after her in the hallway. “Where are y’going?”
Y/N’s eyes widened and she looked behind her before looking back at Harry. “I was just gonna head back home.”
Harry’s head tilted, and looked at her questionably. “Y’not comin’ to the bar with us?” He practically pouted.
Her brows shot up in surprise. “Oh! I- yeah I’ll go out with you guys.”
Which lead her here, decently tipsy, and sitting in a booth between Harry and Sarah, laughing at a story Adam had been telling. Every now and then she would glance over to Harry just to find his gaze already on her.
Her heart fluttered every time, and if Harry’s cheeks weren’t already flushed from the alcohol, Y/N would have noticed him blush every time they locked eyes as well.
“M’gonna get another drink, does anyone want anything?” Y/N piped up, a resounding chorus of “no, thank you’s” answering her question. Except for Harry who spoke softly, “A beer? Go ahead and put it on my tab.”
She shook her head at him as he stood up to let her out of the maroon leather booth. “Can’t make you pay for that, I offered.” She said, standing to lock eyes with him yet again.
“Nope,” He grinned. “You can, and you will.”
“But-”
“No buts.” He chuckled, giving her a dimpled smile.
Accepting her defeat she nodded and squeezed his arm with a murmured “Thank you.” before making her way to the bar.
Harry sat back down again, eyes trailing her figure as she walked away before looking back at the table to be met with knowing eyes.
“What is it?” He asked, glancing around at everyone.
“You’re whipped, mate.” Charlotte grinned, everyone else nodding in agreement.
“What?! I am not.” Harry pouted, eyes flicking over to Y/N, who was making her way to the table, one drink in each hand, before back to everyone else.
“She’s really sweet H, you should go for it.” Mitch said.
Harry shook his head, eyes now on Mitch. “I’m not interested in her like that, she’s way too young for me, anyways.”
Just then did he hear the soft hit of his beer and her cosmo land on the table. His gaze trailed up her hands to see Y/N’s shattered face. “Here.” She practically whispered to him.
“I just remembered I have an early class tomorrow, so I should go, but thank you guys for inviting me out.” Y/N explained in lighting speed as she leaned over Harry to grab her purse and toss is over her shoulder.
Words of confusion were tossed around the table but she was already booking it out of there, leaving Harry just as devastated as she was.
“I think she heard you, H.” Sarah said, frowning.
Harry let out a muttered “Fuck!” before taking out large bills from his wallet and tossing it on the table. “For my tab, m’sorry, I gotta go.” And he left just as fast as Y/N did, weaving through the tables and people before bursting out the door to see her standing on the street, arm wrapped around her waist and another holding her phone.
“Y/N!”
Her head whipped around to see Harry bustling towards her and she quickly wiped her eye as he approached.
“Wait, don't go,” He said, struggling to find the words. “We all want you to stay, I want you to stay.”
“I have to get to class Harry, plus, I’m too young to be staying out this late anyways.” She grimaced at her own words.
He sighed, eyes flickering from her own to her lips then back again. “I-fuck, you know I didn’t mean it like that.”
This time, she fully turned to face him, brows knitted in distress. “Then how did you mean it? Because honestly I don’t think there is another way to mean it.”
This was his only chance, Harry knew it.
“I just, I tried for so long to tell myself it was wrong to feel this way about you because you’re so much younger than me, and m’pretty sure your father would have my head if he knew but m’fucking infatuated with you, Y/N. M’so sorry I said that earlier, age is my only excuse for not asking you out and it’s not a good enough excuse anymore.”
With this her mouth was gaped like a fish, and her face was akin to a deer caught in headlights. In a flash her arms were wrapped around his neck and he was holding her waist, reveling in her touch.
“Oh, Harry,” She pulled away. “I really like you too.” And with that she pressed a swift kiss to his cheek, leaving him a blushing mess.
“Good, thats... thats good.” He stammered.
“So,” she nudged his arm. “Y’gonna ask me out now?”

PAPA BEAR R.H.
Request: I'm so happy that you want to write the request! Anywho, my idea was basically that the reader works as a nanny for Lian while Roy is off doing vigilanting. And Lian gets attached to them while Roy is busy falling for them (mostly because they love his daughter as much as he does). In other words, I crave domestic bliss and would for you to right it. Thank you so much for taking in my request! As a writer myself I know it can be quite draining. I hope you enjoy this one. Heart anon :)
Warning: fluff, mentions of sex, mentions of roy getting injured
A/N: This one was so soft I loved writing it.
Word Count: 3.8k
Roy Harper moved into the apartment complex only a couple of months after you had. He and his daughter weren't the quietest of neighbors, but they were always kind nonetheless. You could hear their laughter early in the morning when walking by their door to work and the thumping of them running around to play.
Within the first month of him moving in, he knocked on your door twice. The first time was actually his daughter, Lian, who left a quiet knock. You barely heard it and when you couldn't see anyone through the peek hole - you opened it to find the cutest little girl with a smile on her face staring up at you.
She introduced herself to you, and mentioned that she and her father had seen you several times in the building. Roy popped his head out of his home only moments later with worry filling him. You waved at his appearance and quickly put together that Lian snuck out to see you.
He was ready to get mad for having Lian talk to strangers, even if you did seem like a good person. The sound of her giggle as you called Roy "angry papa bear" stopped him from doing so. It was a silly joke, but having Lian smile and laugh like that made it impossible to be mad.
That was the first time that you met them.
Almost exactly a week later they showed up again. The pair stood side by side with a container in hand. Lian wanted to make cookies for 'the pretty next-door neighbour' and Roy found himself wanting to meet you again, for longer than just a couple minutes that time.
From that moment on Lian couldn't stop talking about you. She was always trying to convince her father to go over so that she could play with you. The three of your spent hours together. Going for ice cream, pizza nights, every little kid's dream. There were countless times that Roy apologized for taking up so much of your time, but the change was pleasant.
Your first impression of Roy was right, he was a big papa bear. It seemed he dedicated his life to his daughter. Always sought for the best, always trying to make the best life for her. There was nothing more that he wanted than for her to be happy.
Roy asked you to babysit Lian one night. It was clear he was in a rush and had no other options. Though you hadn't planned to be left alone with a four-year-old that evening, you couldn't say no to Roy. Whatever he had to do, clearly it was important by how frantic he was.
So, Lian ended up in your living room, cuddled up on the couch with you and a movie playing on the TV. She was eager to spend time with you, but you couldn't help but be worried about why Roy was in such a need to drop his child off with you and run. He had never acted like that before.
"Do you know where your dad went?" curiosity had finally gotten the best of you. Lian was barely awake in your arms. It was late at night and Roy hadn't made any notice of when he was going to be back - not that you minded watching her for the whole night but where could he possibly be?
"I'm not really supposed to tell you, but," Lian looked around the room as if to check if anyone appeared in the room within the last two minutes. She gestured for you to lower down to her level and cupper her little hands around your ear. "Daddy saves the world, he goes by Arsenal." Her pronunciation of his hero name came out slurred, though you could clearly understand. "He's a superhero."
It was easy to guess she was joking at first. Every little kid looked up to their parents as heroes. She couldn't have been any different. However, the longer you thought about it the more you realized she was telling the truth. Roy avoided wearing T-shirts around you and the times that he did you couldn't help but notice the scars on his skin.
His quick reaction time whenever you nearly dropped something was impeccable, and he always seemed to notice the smallest details from a mile away. Maybe it was possible that Roy, the big angry papa bear was Arsenal. You wouldn't know until you asked him - a conversation that he was surely going to avoid.
Lian fell asleep on you before you could ask any more questions. Apparently, you took too long to comment on her revelation. Roy, as Arsenal? You heard a little bit about the hero, but nothing as much as Batman or Superman. He used to work with Green Arrow, went off to fight the world by himself - sort of.
That was about as much as you knew of Arsenal. It was a rare occasion to know more about the man under the mask than in it. If she was evening speaking the truth - then again what reason did she have to lie?
By the time the movie was over, you were nearly asleep right alongside Lian. The little girl hadn't stirred since she fell asleep. A knock at your front door jolted you awake. By the erratic tapping, you were sure it was Roy. Light from the hall poured into the room when he opened it after your welcome.
Your finger was held up to your lips to tell him to be quiet. It was already so late in the night and you didn't want Lian to wake. Roy sat down in the chair across from you. He winced, as if his muscles had been overworked - or if he had taken several hits too many. The bright light of the TV shone on his face, illuminating the dark bruise that was starting to form under his eye.
"I can't thank you enough for watching over her," Roy told you. "How was she?"
"An angel, like always," your smoothed down some of her hairs that had been sticking up. A sleepy smile was stuck on her face.
"She likes you, a lot," Roy looked exhausted. It was clear that he wanted to go to bed and pass out. The one reason that he was chatting was to be polite. "You know, the day that she came over for the first time, she had been bugging me all morning to go see 'the pretty lady next door'."
"Well I can't complain that she took matters into her own hands. Who knows how long it would have taken you," you grinned. Even in the dark light you could see the flush rise to his cheeks. He was an attractive man - and you often times wondered what happened to Lian's mother. Was she still in the picture? Were they married? Did she know about Arsenal?
"Lian told me something pretty interesting tonight, Roy," you cleared your throat. It might not have been the best time to address the issue, but you would surely lose the courage if you waited any longer. "She said that you run off at night being a superhero. Arsenal, to be exact."
"You know kids, always with their crazy stories," Roy was quick to try and cover up Lian's exposure. He was taken aback that his kid was so quick to spill secrets - they had gone over it dozens of times - she couldn't tell anyone. Even the pretty neighbour who they saw nearly every day.
"Cut the crap," you stared at his bruise. Roy let out a defeated breath. He ran his hands down his face - less than half a year of knowing you and you had already found out his secret. Oliver wouldn't be impressed. "You don't have to lie to me, you can trust me. Clearly, you do, or you wouldn't have left Lian with me for the whole night."
"She shouldn't have told you."
"I'm glad she did." Lian shuffled against your side. Her arm that was tucked into her chest stretched across you like she was giving you a hug. Roy smiled at the gesture. "I was worried about you tonight. You left in a rush and I didn't know what had happened to you. Lian was worried too.
"I won't tell anyone if you're worried," you assured. "Actually I'm kinda glad to hear that your scars are from being Arsenal not something like being in a gang." Roy chuckled at your confession.
"You're taking this all quite well." You shrugged. It always seemed like he had a secret or two, you just weren't expecting something like this. "Thank you, for understanding - and for taking care of Lian. I really appreciate it."
"Anytime, Roy."
><
Roy took full advantage of you knowing his secret. He didn't need to come up with some lie on where he was going or why. Instead, he could drop Lian off at your door with a simple "gotta go" and you'd understand that the world was in trouble. Roy was grateful for you, for understanding and to be so willing to help him take care of Lian.
It wasn't just babysitting anymore, you were nearly just as big of a part of raising Lian as he was. She looked forward to seeing you each time, never did she feel like it was something that she had to do. They both looked up to you.
A hot Saturday afternoon, after a night of wreckage that you and Lian had created in your apartment, Roy decided to take you both out for ice cream. He had come back to your home to find that every blanket and cushion in your apartment had been pulled out to make a massive fort that covered your entire living room. The mattress from your bed had been pulled off and was surrounded by blankets.
Although your home was a mess, he found the both of you asleep with the title scene of Lian's favourite movie on. Crumbs of cookies were scattered everywhere, along with half-eaten plates of french fries. Clearly, the both of you had a wild night and Roy couldn't bring himself to wake either of you.
Lian had talked about her night all morning the next day and how much she loved to spend time with you. Roy thought it to be the perfect opportunity to take you out for an afternoon you deserved. It wasn't much, but the thought was there and you appreciated his efforts.
There was a small, pop up ice-cream shop in the park Lian adored. It was her favourite place to get ice cream because she could sit on the park bench and watch all the ducks in the pond. Her little mind was still so pure and the quacks of the baby ducks had her a giggling mess.
Each of her hands were held in yours and Roy's. She's do a running start before getting the both of you to swing her up into the air. Your arms were tired by the time that she finally had enough of the movement - unlike Roy who seemed perfectly fine. Using that bow of his left his arms huge.
"What kind of ice cream are you going to get?" You asked Lian. She hummed, deep in thought like it was the toughest decision he would ever have to make in her life.
"Chocolate!" She finally decided on. Roy chuckled at the answer, it was what she got every time they went out for ice cream. He tickled her sides for a moment before hoisting her up onto his shoulders. Lian's arms stuck out like she was an airplane and the smile never left her face.
Roy was a great dad, that was easy to tell. It was hard not to be attracted to the fatherly side of him. He seemed like a different person when he was with his kid and when he was talking to you about the stress of the life he lived. Lian had really brought you both together and you were quick to call him one of your closest friends.
Many nights he would come over after Lian was asleep just to hang out with you. It was refreshing talking to someone outside the Titans. Not to mention that he adored how you cared for his daughter. In the year that you had known them, you took her in like she was your own. Even her own mother couldn't achieve that love anymore.
You reminded him of the life he could have, if he ever wanted to get out of the hero game. Settle down with Lian, have the white picket fence life that he always mocked for years. Would it really be that bad? To live without worrying whether or not he was going to make it out alive the next day? To find someone that he could love?
Your phone rang just as you were about to reach the ice cream shop. It wasn't uncommon for your boss to call you on the weekend, however whenever he did it was usually important. "I'm sorry, I have to answer this, I'll just be a minute." Roy nodded in understatement. He knew the burden of responsibilities more than anyone.
"Daddy?" Lian spoke. Roy grabbed her once more and lifted her back down to the ground. He knelt down to her level so that she didn't have to look up. "If you're my papa bear," she hadn't started to use that term until you started referring to Roy with it. "Does that make (Y/N) mama bear?"
Roy was taken aback by her comment. Although he knew that you and Lian were very close, he never expected she would look up to you as her own mother. Jade wasn't in Lian's life anymore, and she was far too young to remember what she was like. You had been the closest thing to a mother in Lian's life.
The more he thought about it, the more he was glad to have you as a mother fill in for Lian. It wasn't just the will to take care of her when Roy dropped her off, you went above and beyond to make her life good. Lian wasn't a burden that had been shoved into your life because of knowing a secret, she was a blessing.
Just as you were a blessing in Roy's life.
Roy was grateful for the nights that you stayed up with him, talking, listening, whatever he needed you were there. It was so easy to open up to you, more than Dick or Donna or anyone on the team. You didn't have to be there for him, you choose to be because you wanted to be.
You baked cookies with Lian on a Sunday morning because you wanted to. You helped to bandage Roy up after a hard night because you wanted to. You cooked supper for them both when Roy was having trouble to keep up with his life because of being Arsenal because you wanted to, not because you needed to.
Being part of his life was sudden, but you wouldn't want it any other way. And truth was, Roy wasn't sure if he could keep up both of his lives without your help.
><
"I didn't think she was ever going to fall asleep." You fell down on the couch next to Roy. He called you over when Lian refused to fall asleep unless it was you putting her to bed. She requested story after story and wouldn't settle until you promised that you would come over again to make pancakes in the morning.
His arms stretched along the back of the couch and as you leaned your head back you rested on him. Eyes shut, lips parted, Roy didn't notice that he was staring until you let out a sigh. He couldn't stop thinking about Lian's comment. It was clear that she looked up to you as a mother, but did you feel the same?
Or more so, did you only care about Lian, and not him? It couldn't be. You spent nearly just as much time with Roy as you did his daughter. The moment that they walked into your life you were consumed by them. It was hard not to be, they added so much joy.
"Did she get you to promise to come back in the morning again?" Roy asked. Without opening your eyes, you nodded. He wasn't surprised.
"I may as well live here at this point, the only time I'm ever in my own home is to sleep," you joked. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, to live with Roy and Lian. You were more than just a babysitter, you were practically family. Roy knew everything about you, and you him. Living together almost seemed normal.
"I'd like that," Roy confessed. He had full intentions to say that Lian would like it if you were to move in. The idea of it probably had him just as excited as his daughter would be.
"Would you?" You cocked an eyebrow. He wanted that excuse to spend more time with you, to be with you. Throughout the year you grew to love Lian, he had completely fallen in love with you, without even realizing it. You made his family feel complete once more. You made him feel complete.
Roy wanted to wake up with you every morning. He wanted to sit around and drink coffee while Lian told you both about her dreams that night. He wanted to come home after a long night's mission to find you cuddled up in his bed, half asleep and waiting for him. Roy wanted to have a life with you.
You looked over at him, waiting for his response. His pale skin was tinged pink, eyes filled with worry of rejection. Worried that you loathed the idea, or more so, didn't feel the same way about him.
How could you? Roy had managed to steal your heart right alongside Lian. You missed his presence when he wasn't around, and when you were together the time spend never seemed long enough.
"(Y/N), I..." Roy tried to grasp the words that were right at the tip of his tongue. He wanted to tell her that this past year of knowing her had been the best year of his life. He never wanted to lose this happiness that he had with you. Instead, he stuttered over his words, flustered. "Fuck."
Roy's palms grasped your cheeks. He gave you just a moment to express if you didn't want this, a moment too long. Your lips were needy against his, this moment had far too long waited for either of you. Your fingers threaded through the hair on the back of his head, keeping him close against you.
His arm snaked around you, gesturing for you to lower yourself on the couch. Not once did he break the kiss to hover over you, trapping you beneath his frame. Any exhaustion that you had was wiped away entirely. Every nerve in your body was lit up from his touch.
"Stay with me?" Roy asked. He gave you no time to answer, his lips back on yours the second that he was done asking his question. You couldn't leave, not when you already couldn't get enough of him. His lips, his touch, everything, it wasn't enough.
"Yes," you latched onto the hem of his shirt, tugging it up until he got the hint to take it off completely. "Your room. Now."
><
You and Roy were up far earlier than Lian the next morning.
Even though your night had been long you still found yourself excited to wake up the next morning. You were excited to wake up next to him. Limbs draped over you, warm breath at the back of your neck. Light kisses left against your bare skin as Roy awoke shortly after you did.
Your brief time in bed that morning was short. The last thing that you needed was Lian walking in on the both of you naked. So, you had gotten up to keep with your promise to her. Pancakes.
"Didn't know you were the clingy kind, Harper. Not that I'm complaining," you joked. He barely took his hands off you all morning. Holding you flat against his chest as you cooked breakfast, soft kisses that warmed you completely. "Go wake up Lian, everything's ready and you know she doesn't like cold pancakes."
Roy kissed you again before doing as he was told. His lips lingering, wondering if he needed the extra few minutes with you before Lian joined you. You pressed against his chest to make the decision for him. He had gotten more than enough love the past ten hours to need just a moment more.
He returned moments later, arms full with Lian. She got excited when noticing you with a plate full of pancakes. Roy set her down in her chair before taking a seat on his own. You kissed the top of her head, then his.
"I could get used to this," Roy spoke with his mouth full. Lian scolded him, her finger shaking at him and a pout on her face. He swallowed before continuing. "If you were serious about your offer last night."
It was a big jump for the both of you, even if it was true that you had basically been living together for quite a while now. He wasn't worried about Lian disagreeing with the idea, she would love it. In fact, he was sure that if she knew about the offer there was no possibility of you saying no.
You grabbed Roy's hand from under the table. Moving in wasn't something that you needed to rush. Being right next door, it was easy to see each other whenever anyways. Rushing something that you wanted to last was never the safest option, and you wanted whatever the hell you had going on with Roy Harper to last a lifetime.
"I was," you answered. "One day."

Char please I need to hear more on your Steve was snatched by Hydra theory, like how and when did that happen? Up until which point in time do you think Steve was still Steve and not some imposter? My money’s on the end of IW, IW was the last time we saw the real Steve Rogers
Here’s my theory, even though it doesn’t involve HYDRA: what if Nomad Steve was captured by the TVA right after the end of IW because he did some real Steve Rogers shit out of grief and altered the timeline so they had to arrest him and send a variant from an alternate reality which is EG Steve….. And one day he’s gonna pop back up thinking the TVA had him for just a few months but it’s actually been 6 years because time passes differently at the TVA (I sent this ask to someone else some time ago so I just copied and pasted it hsgfhd)
Hello Anon! Great news: I'm going to procrastinate doing freelance work by spending a great deal of time answering this!
Firstly: I salute you and your theory. I would probably read 100 different variations of What Happened To Steve Rogers, including this one. Why NOT involve the TVA? Fuck around and find out! Sounds fun!
However, that is not my personal theory about what's going on in canon. So, by request, I will elaborate on my theory for you.
When Was The Last Time We Saw The Real Steve?
To your question on when was the last time we saw the real Steve Rogers and not an imposter... In my heart? At the end of IW. In terms of what I think is unfortunately most realistic moving forward in the MCU, in terms of story / business decisions? More or less the last time we see the real Steve is at the end of Endgame, when he gets on the quantum platform to go ~put the stones back in the timeline~ (which, of course, made zero sense.)
I'll tell you why that is: while I think there's a solid argument to be made story-wise for Steve being an imposter for all of Endgame, I don't think in practice they'd actually ever do that or have that be the reveal.
Why? Because...
• Endgame is their crowning jewel in the MCU, it's theeee ultimate hero movie, Steve wields Mjolnir, etc. and logically they wouldn't want to retroactively compromise any of that. Much to my personal disappointment. Cowards.
• If Endgame Steve was always a villainous imposter, that means in the end he gets all of the infinity stones to himself. There's really no way to make that work in context of future plot points.
Instead, I feel Steve's out of character behavior in Endgame, his slightly unusual clothing/appearance, and his lack of mention of the people he lost from the snap could have all been a deliberately-curated red herring to keep casual viewers from questioning the end Stevepeggy scene. If you take out the Stevepeggy end scene, his behavior by itself is not really that damning. Steve looking at the compass with Peggy’s picture can actually be explained as him being encouraged by her memory and past wisdom; Steve looking at her in the 1970s can also be simple nostalgia. And as upsetting as it is for those of us who know and love Steve's character, him not mentioning Bucky / Sam / Wanda in the few scenes we got doesn't mean that we can't infer he was mourning them off-screen; not having him mention them on-screen just insures that they wouldn't be as strongly top-of-mind for casual viewers right before the Stevepeggy ending.
So they could have carefully placed all of Endgame's little weird OOC bits for Steve like breadcrumbs to make casual viewers think the Stevepeggy end scene makes sense from a character perspective, and then those viewers were automatically a bit more inclined to hand-wave the ways it logistically doesn't make sense. "Who cares if we don't understand how Old Man Rogers got there? Steve deserved his happy ending." or "Obviously Old Man Rogers got there because of XYZ reasoning. It's not that big of a deal. Just roll with it because he deserved to be happy with Peggy." Etc. Convince them it was foreshadowed by dangling Peggy throughout the movie, and then those viewers say it shouldn't be questioned.
Steve's Ending: Weird & Getting Weirder
Casual viewers aren't questioning it, maybe, but we are questioning it, because...
• We know Steve Rogers' character, and we know he wouldn't have left his friends behind to go live with Peggy in the past or in an alternate universe's past.
• The writers / director couldn't publicly agree on how the logic of that scene worked when they were questioned, which I maintain is bizarre as hell.
• The Loki show demonstrates that you cannot fuck with the timeline and get away with it, because of the existence of the TVA. Or at the very least, at the time of Endgame, the Sacred Timeline was still being enforced by the TVA. We're told that the thing with time traveling to get Infinity Stones was TVA-sanctioned, but not Steve's ending. We hear nothing about that.
• They've had multiple chances to clear up once and for all where Steve Rogers is or if he's even still alive, and the fact that we don't know what became of him is emphasized in TFATWS. It means that, for some reason, they're keeping his whereabouts a mystery and thus open to future relevance.
• Steve has been name-dropped in nearly every phase 4 Marvel media property since Endgame; "What If" even directly addressed his ending and subverted it. Even when he's not named explicitly, the themes of his ending with Peggy are also repeated multiple times throughout phase 4, but in a way where a surface level reading of that ending is being actively contradicted at every turn. We have been shown over and over that that kind of scenario–an idyllic life with a lost love–is never happy truth, or created without consequence.
In short, fuckery seems to be afoot!
So, suppose you operate under this simple baseline premise to start the theorizing:
Old Man Rogers is, somehow, not Steve.
Therefore, the first question: where is Steve–or more accurately, who could've taken him? And the follow-up: why?
I Think It's HYDRA
The prevailing theories people talk about are Skrulls or HYDRA. I land on the latter, and I'll do my best to break down why.
• Red Skull. Steve certainly could have been snatched at any point and by anyone during his jaunt with returning the stones (because how fucking asinine is it that we're meant to believe it took all the Avengers to get the stones but only one to put them back when they aren't even in their original forms?), but I think it's fairly notable that Red Skull was on Vormir. There are two different times he was technically freed: 2018, when Thanos got the stone after sacrificing Gamora. And 2014, when Clint goes back in time and Natasha is sacrificed. He was cursed to be the guardian of the soul stone, so the soul stone being removed means his curse was broken. This means Red Skull is canonically out there, and he's batshit crazy. That's one classic HYDRA villain in play.
• Zola is alive. "What If" has helpfully informed us that there was a copy of Zola alive and well in the Siberian base seen in Civil War, which was not destroyed in the main timeline of the MCU. Two HYDRA villains.
• Madame Hydra. Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine has only had 2 small cameos thus far, and we don't know for sure what her version in the MCU is going to involve. It's true that we don't know what she's up to. But it's not unrealistic to speculate that she could have some sort of connection to something HYDRA related, considering her varied comics history. Two and a half HYDRA villains, ish.
• Steve Rogers is being turned into a symbol. For one thing... The shield. That was wrestled with in TFATWS: Captain America as symbol, what that shield means to different people in different ways, Sam's reluctance to take up the mantle, etc. Now, going forward, the shield will be redefined by Sam Wilson becoming the new Captain America. But also... now we are also getting things like Rogers: The Musical. We don't know much about this yet, obviously, but I'm really interested to see how it's involved in the Hawkeye show especially considering it's already been teased in the promotional material. Regardless, its very existence is an example of how in-universe the stories of the lives of the heroes are being commodified, especially (in terms of how they're framing it) for Steve's. The heroes are no longer seen as people, if they ever were. They are, as Kate Bishop says to Clint in a recently released clip, more about "branding." Sam Wilson will be redefining the shield moving forward in a Cap context, but simultaneously, the world is still enamored by Steve Rogers as a symbol in his own right. And that is ripe for manipulation as a Trojan horse to control public opinion... whether in the context of things like this by themselves (is the musical portraying Steve accurately, or is it painting an inaccurate picture of him the world accepts as fact?) or in future (is this propaganda that makes the public see Steve a certain way and continue to love him, to set up a fake or brainwashed Steve coming on the scene later?). [EDIT – Rogers: The Musical was brought to Disneyland! In July 2023, I wrote an analysis of it in the context of this theory, regarding propaganda and revisionist history.]
• It fits the MCU going forward, and plot-wise, it makes the most sense. Connecting to the above point, one of the many things openly and repeatedly being tackled in the MCU is the theme of legacy. And sure, Old Man Rogers could be a Skrull, but... what would be the point of it, other than just retconning Steve's ending? Narratively, what would that convey and how would it be interesting? How could it be used to enhance the stories of the MCU at all, and/or what layered story could be told there other than "Steve Rogers is trapped somewhere and was impersonated by a Skrull"? It doesn't really set much up other than acting as a retcon, and that's not a good enough reason to pull that kind of a rug pull.
Whereas if Steve was taken by a group like HYDRA... it's actually to a purpose. They'd do it not just to kill him, but to remove him, use him, and tarnish his legacy. If you want to create further instability to control a country, you manipulate or sow doubt in a patriotic symbol. We got a taste of this with John Walker in TFATWS, and the ways the government wanted to / tried to use him. But now, the MCU is teeing up the idea that not only was the shield a patriotic symbol, but also that Steve Rogers himself was a symbol–or is potentially becoming one in the eyes of the public. How can that be utilized for HYDRA's purposes?
This is what the controversial Secret Empire arc comics storyline was about, where an evil Steve shows up and supposedly it's revealed that Steve was always a HYDRA double agent, but (for readers) it's quickly subverted as untrue. Events unfold from there.
(Side note: It's also worth noting that the Secret Empire story starts out with an old man version of Steve being de-aged after having a jaunt in an alternate timeline before being co-opted by HYDRA. Much as I hate the idea of the Old Man Rogers concept being kept so that he was actually the real Steve on any level, they could try to go with this angle, even though I really don't think it jives with the existence of the TVA. With my "HYDRA snatched Steve" theory, I tend to operate under the assumption that Old Man Rogers is someone else using a convincing technological mask, like the kind we've most recently seen in Black Widow. But if they try to say that Steve lived a life in another timeline and aged there, that doesn't mean that A) the Stevepeggy scene was real for sure or B) he lived a whole lifetime with her. He could have gotten old doing whatever the fuck, been snatched, and then de-aged by HYDRA. I do think a variation where Old Man Rogers was actually Steve is less strong from a logistics perspective, though, again because of the TVA / Sacred Timeline stuff.)
Anyway.
So in the MCU, they could do a loose adaption of the Secret Empire comic storyline somehow. And/or they could combine the Secret Empire arc with a loose adaption of the comics storylines where Red Skull implanted his mind into the body of a Steve Rogers clone (yes, that exists lol).
But regardless... the baseline of what I'm implying as my theory is that Steve is trapped/taken somehow in connection to HYRDA. Then, an evil HYDRA version of him could later show up on the scene, and the public would either listen to him or become distrusting/jaded by his villainous existence because he's Steve Rogers. It's a gateway to a fascist takeover, and it would be right up MCU HYDRA's alley.
Depending on how it shakes out, you would then have a situation that includes tackling story elements of things like... Steve's friends have to insist they know that's not Steve, but what's true? What's real? Can they trust themselves to know? When was Steve taken, and how, and why didn't they all notice? Also, can they arrest or attack or try to interrogate a fake Steve Rogers / Captain America who's on the national stage, and who's being openly analyzed by the public because he's just returned from the grave yet again?
If Bucky and Sam and co. know it's not Steve, then is the real Steve trapped in this evil Steve's mind somehow, like what happened to Bucky as the Winter Soldier? Then they can't just kill him in case that's true and there's still a version of Steve to save, right? How do they figure all this out, what are the answers to these questions in the MCU version, and how do they simultaneously stop HYDRA from taking things over if HYDRA's corruption once again runs deep within the United States government?
You've got a spy thriller + political intrigue + further commentary on heroes as symbols, legacy as a tool that can be molded and manipulated, the past coming back to haunt us in the present, and the insidious endurance of white supremacy contrasted against Captain America now being Black. Etc. It would tie together a lot of nice seeds and themes that have been threaded through phase 4 so far already in multiple corners.
Soul Stone Potentials
Couple this with the potential second half of the baseline premise about Endgame:
Let's presume Old Man Rogers is, somehow, not Steve–and then let's also presume the potential for the dance between Steve and Peggy not being real.
So, how could it be fake?
The soul stone's powers have been deliberately shrouded in mystery so far. We've not seen it do much of anything yet in the context of the MCU, but in theory, we're told it can manipulate souls. We've also seen a glimpse of the Soul World, its own version of a pocket dimension that also has comics basis. Thanos sees baby Gamora after using all the stones; originally, in Endgame, Tony was meant to see an older version of Morgan after using the stones himself. The latter scene was cut because it was confusing to audiences, since Morgan isn't dead. But recently I've started wondering if maybe that's because Thanos didn't see baby Gamora just because Gamora was the sacrifice. Instead, maybe he saw baby Gamora–and Tony was meant to see "older Morgan"–because in the MCU's version the Soul World was projecting images of their loved ones to them so they had to mentally reconcile with the consequences of their choice.
If the soul stone is in play in this regard, Steve's dance with Peggy could be part of some kind of vision keeping him trapped in a pocket dimension of the Soul World–whether literally physically trapping him, or just trapping his consciousness while his body is taken over and used. (The other time we saw Steve and Peggy get their dance in oversaturated warm colors, it was Steve's brain being manipulated by Wanda, and it became a nightmare.) In the aforementioned Secret Empire comics arc, the Cosmic Cube was used to this effect: the real Steve was preserved in / trapped in parts of the Cosmic Cube and shown visions of his friends and family, while evil HYDRA Steve was taking over America. (Real Steve was eventually restored / pulled out, and physically fought evil Steve to defeat him.) They could use the soul stone in a similar way, since it's not too far off of its Soul World dimension, and since the Cosmic Cube / Tesseract already has its own established powers in the MCU.
Why Would the MCU Do This?
Well, other than "why not? It's good storytelling," I can think of a few reasons. None of those reasons are about "retconning" Steve's ending, because that's not how I see this at all.
First, this would be way down the line in a few years, to be clear. A lot of people always bring up "Wouldn't this ruin Sam being Cap, especially if Old Man Rogers didn't hand him the shield?" and my answer to that is "No, not at all." By the point this all rolled around as a significant plot point, the way I see it, Sam would be well-established as the new Captain America. And if we eventually got a reveal that Old Man Rogers wasn't our Steve, there's a very easy way to tackle this: Steve's proud of Sam and tells him that he only wishes he could have given him the shield himself because it was always the plan. Boom, done, Steve's blessing given.
(You might ask: well then, why would HYDRA give Sam the shield via Old Man Rogers? How would that help their plans? Quite possibly they banked on Sam not accepting it, which he initially didn't. Or, if he had accepted it and tried to be the new Cap immediately, they banked on being able to convince him that he shouldn't. Remember how TFATWS opens up? They thanked Sam for being a good man who gave up the shield to a museum, and then they immediately turned around and give the mantle to Walker, who was a symbol the government was explicitly manipulating before things went off the rails. Sure, now Sam is Cap, but that seemingly wasn't the government's original plan. How is that actually going to go in Cap 4 now? Is everyone going to be happy about this new Captain America? Etc.)
A tentpole of the reasons for my Steve's Ending Is Fucky theorizing–back when it was a joke, but now it's really not a joke anymore lol–was that they had to pull Steve out of the picture so that Sam and Bucky could develop as characters independent of their existences revolving around Steve. That was part of the function of TFATWS, and presumably will only continue with whatever we get in Cap 4. So by the time Imposter Steve comes to the forefront as a plot, Sam as the new Captain America will be established (and probably hard-won), Bucky will be a fully-formed character in his own right who's rediscovered himself outside of his connections to Steve, and the two of them + many other characters will have had their time to shine. Only then does the past come back to haunt them to clash with the present, in ways that are narratively interesting.
This would also bring Chris Evans back to the MCU as Steve in something beyond a mere cameo, with an interesting twist that would drum up significant hype. Steve Rogers as an antagonist? Are you kidding me? Even people who may or may not have turned from invested fans to more casual fans by that point will come yeeting back in horrified fascination. It would be newly loved figures having to go head-to-head with previously loved figures and story elements.
And lastly... look, eventually they're going to run out of unique stories to tell lmao. That may sound strange considering there's a nigh-on limitless bank to pull from for comics, + the MCU likes to make shit up in addition to that (as it should), but... A lot of the ways the MCU has tended to handle the Captain America storylines (which you can critique) tie into ~real world~ concepts, the insidiousness of corruption in governments, the alphabet agencies going rogue, and old threats coming back in even worse ways. There's only so many ways you can spin that. (Again, keep in mind this would come after Cap 4, in the same way TWS came after Cap 1.) Something like this fits the rough mold, and it's got several twists. If they did it right and treaded carefully to avoid the pitfalls of what made the comics iteration controversial, it has the potential to be as game-changing as TWS was, in the ways that make TWS still unanimously heralded as one of the greatest pieces of the MCU. It's like a TWS variation, but out in the open with the villainized and victimized hero's identity known from the start, which almost makes it worse.
And ALL of that would make a hell of a lot of money, baby!
Also, if I was Kevin Feige... I would simply have a longcon where Bucky is repeatedly queercoded and then Bucky has to rescue Steve, which is a role reversal that puts them on even footing as characters, and then they can kiss and completely change the course of pop culture history, which would ALSO make money! But, I digress! I digress.
A Brief Summary
So, in a nutshell, here's where I'm at:
• Old Man Rogers wasn't Steve. Somewhere between going to put the stones back and Old Man Rogers showing up by that lake, fuckery occurred, and our Steve Rogers is trapped somewhere. Alternatively: Old Man Rogers was Steve who went on a mysterious AU timeline jaunt somehow without the TVA revolting (?), and then he got snatched by HYDRA and was de-aged directly after that.
• The Stevepeggy scene is some kind of fake, false idyllic narrative, perhaps used to trap Steve somewhere. Alternatively: at minimum, it's a scene that doesn't exist without negative consequence that's befallen Steve, based on all the themes of phase 4, but we don't know what that consequence is yet.
• The real Steve was taken and trapped by HYDRA, and it's part of a long-con plan that will see HYDRA insidiously manipulating the Captain America / Steve Rogers symbol in some way to take over America with fascism.
• All of this would strongly align with the themes we've seen in Marvel's phase 4 so far, and–crucially–would act as a completely unique plot branch in its own right, not simply a "retcon" of Steve's ending.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I think this post took me like... 3 hours. Maybe longer. God I have regrets lmao. But at least it's done! Thanks for asking, Anon!
I hope you enjoyed me finally writing out the reasoning for all this that's constantly marinating in my brain and repeatedly being fed every time new MCU content is released <3

It Was You All Along // Dave Lizewski
requested by a lovely anon 💕
Can u write dave x fem!reader where reader Always had a crush on him but he kinda ignored reader bc of Katie but then someone popular asks reader out and he gets jealous and y/n dresses up super hot and he realizes he fucked up
word count: 1809
a/n: i hope this is close enough! ❤️ (i couldn't think of a different title but this one reminds me of Agatha All Along xd)
"Hey, Dave! My folks are gone for the weekend and I thought we could have an X-men watch party. Wanna come?"
"Sorry I can't, I'm hanging out with Katie."
"Again?" you ask a bit louder than intended, causing a few people to look at you in the hallway. You continue with a lower voice "Aren't you like, tired of all the lying? Like, what if she finds out that you're not actually gay, hm? Cause you know she will, eventually."
"Why do you care so much?!" Dave says, clearly frustrated.
You raise an eyebrow.
"Oh why would I? Maybe because we have been best friends since diapers, you stupid asshole!" you say not caring if some students hear you or not, anymore. "But you know what, you are right. I shouldn't care. Go play pretend with Katie but don't come to me, crying when you end up getting your heart broken."
"Don't worry, I won't." he snaps back. And you turn around and leave but not before flipping him off. You felt the angry tears rolling down your cheeks as you zigzagged between the chattering teenagers.
You couldn’t believe how Dave could be so blind! He only had eyes for Miss Perfect. Whom by the way, is a real bitch and would go back to ignoring Dave or calling him a freak if it wasn’t for his little gay act.
Somehow you made your way over to the restroom and locked yourself into one of the booths.
Dave couldn’t even see you as a potential “love-interest”. Eventhough you were the one who always were there for him, you were always there when he called, running to him like a lost puppy. And he couldn’t even care less. And you hate him for it. But you hate yourself more for still liking him.
It’s not like you can do something about it, if you could, you would have. But that’s not how it works, so you are just crying your guts out on the toilet trying not to think about Dave.
In all honesty, you have no idea how you made it through the day. You almost cried during biology but you caught yourself after a few lonely tears. You could feel Dave’s gaze on you but there was no way you would look at him. As soon as the last bell rang you were out of school, hurring past Tod and Marty, not being in the mood for them either.
The next day wasn’t any different, you didn’t hang with Dave, Tod and Marty like you normally do. You didn’t sit with them at lunch, instead walked over to the only empty table you saw and placed your tray there. You mounched on your food, completely unaware of your surroundings until you hear the chair next to you being pulled out. You look up to see Matthew Greendale, resident hottie of the school sit next to you.
"Hey, sorry, it's not a problem if I sit here, right?" he asks. You eyed him suspiciously.
"No, it's fine."
It's fine?! You mentally scold yourself. You never even spoke to this guy, outside of literature in first year. Why would he sit next to you?
"I didn't want to sit with all the other "popular jocks" he answered you unspoken question while taking a bite of his canteen-hamburger. “They’re fun and everything but it’s nice to get away from them sometimes.”
You think of your friends who are sitting a few tables away and you can’t help but agree with Matthew.
“Yeah, I feel you.” you say without thinking.
“Hey..We used to sit next to each other in freshman year, didn’t we? It’s y/n ,right?”
You nod with a smile, honestly being surprised that he remembers you.
“Yeah!”
“I haven’t really seen you around a lot. But when I do you are always hanging with those comic book nerds.”
“Hey! Comics are great.”
He puts his hands up in a defense.
“Oh no! I didn’t mean it as an insult. Some comics are good, my little brother made read one last month. It was actually great.”
“What comic was it?”
“Oh, uhm..It was about some kind of blind dude in a devil costume.”
“Daredevil?” you ask with a giggle.
“Yes, that one!” he laughs too.
The two of you continue talking until the end of lunch break. He is surprisingly fun to talk to and he even offers to walk you to your next class after lunch. You had such a good time you didn’t even think about Dave, heck, you didn’t even notice him literally glaring daggers into Matthew.
“What’s up with you, dude?” Tod asks snapping Dave out of it.
“Yeah, Dave. What the shit is going on with you and Y/N?” Marty asks too.
Dave forrows is eyebrows. Yes, what the shit is going on with the two of you? Every since yesterday's 'fight' with you he can't stop thinking. About how he spends most, if not all of his time either with being Kick-Ass or, rather with Katie. It used to be different. He spent every second with you and he just threw you away so he could maybe get laid. And sure, Katie may be hot as fuck but she is.. Well, she is not you.
"We had a fight, yesterday. I.. And she was right." he explains with a grimace. "But why the fuck is that Greendale asshole is with her?"
"You jealous or something, dude?"
"Wha- Of course I am not jealous! Why would I be? You guys are nuts."
Jealous… The word rolled around in his mouth like a new flavored milkshake he never tasted before.
Could he be… Jealous? He never thought of you that way, you were always his best friend. Just that. But.. The more he thinks about it the more he can't stop that twist like feeling in his stomach.
That night he can't focus on crime fighting. All his thoughts are tied to you. Whether he likes it or not, memories of you keep popping up in his mind. How didn't he notice your beautiful smile before? And your laugh? It's like a beautiful melody. And… Gosh! When did he become such a sappy teenager? Oh and another thing.. He kept trying to think of something else, anything else like Katie for example but he doesn't care anymore!
Dave goes home early with a frustrated growl. The remaining hours of the night he spends with tossing and turning and daydreaming instead of sleeping.
(the next afternoon, Atomic Comics)
Dave bangs his head against the wood table once again. A tired groan leaves his lips when he hears Tod almost choking on his iced coffee.
"What the tunk, Tod?" Marty and Dave ask almost at the same time. The dirty blonde haired boy keeps pointing outside the huge window that they are sitting next to at Atomic Comics.
"Is that fucking y/n?!"
Now all three of them look outside the shop and see you, all dressed up nad seemingly waiting for someone.
"Holy fuck!" Dave whispers. He stares at you, with his mouth a gap before jumping up from the booth they were sitting at and rushing outside the store.
"Y/n! Y/-" he yells almost tripping on thin air.
"Dave?" you question, quickly turning towards him. Damn, you missed him. No! Yeah, you did… "What do you want?"
"What do I- What, can't I talk to you?"
"If you wanted to talk you would have in these past days!" you say. Yes, you might have missed him, but it's not like you're gonna show it. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I am waiting for my date to show up."
"Your.. Your what, now?!"
"My date"
"You can't go on a date!"
"And why is that, Lizewski?"
"Lizewski? Really, you're calling me by my surname? Are we in such a bad place right now?"
"I don't know, you tell me. Are you going to tell me what i can and can't do, hm?"
"I didn't mean it like that. I just…"
"What, it's fine when you say it but when I do it with you about Katie I'm the bad friend?"
"No,it's just-"
"Sorry. Matt's here." you point to the street across the road where you saw the boy walk towards you. "I gotta go."
You start walking away but Dave grabs your wrist.
"Please, don't." he mumbles.
"Why not?" you snap at him but your expressions soften upon your eyes land on his saddened face.
"I- because I don't want you with him. O-or anyone."
You raise an eyebrow.
"What?"
He took a deep breath before looking around. Matt was waiting patiently by the traffic light so he could cross the road. Dave quickly began explaining.
"You were right. About Katie. I was such a dickhead, I am so sorry, y/n. I am sorry for ignoring you over her and and.." from the corner of his eye he sees the traffic light turn green. "Shit! I don't want you to go out with Greendale cause I.. Because I like you. Like really fucking like you. And oh my god you look so fucking hot in this outfit, not that you're not always hot but holy shit. I know we are just friends and you don't think of me that way but I ju-"
"Oh my god! Do you ever shut up?" you yell before pressing your lips to his. Dave stumbled back a little, but quickly recovered and kissed back. Your hands cupped his face and his hands grabbed your waist in response. You both tilled your heads, deepening the kiss earning loud knocking from Marty and Tod as they watched the whole scene through the window. Not that you noticed any of it. You didn't hear the passing by car honk at you nor the yells or whistles. You also did not notice Matthew walking away with a sad smile after seeing the two of you. Your touches intertwine and you're pretty sure you heard Dave moan slightly which causes you to giggle into the kiss. You both pull away gasping for air. You look down at your shoes, hoping to hide your flushed cheeks. Dave scratches his back and looks around nervously only to see his two idiotic friends making kissy faces. He lifts his middle finger for them before clearing his throat.
"So.. Khm.. I guess you like me too?"
You let out a soft chuckle.
"Yeah, I do." you say looking at him with a smile.
"That's.. Fuck. That's great." he replied genuinely happy. "Wanna get out of here?"
You nod and you take off. You take Dave's hand and he intertwines your fingers with a smile. Maybe he is truly a superhero. He helps people and he gets the girl of his dreams. The happy ending.

The Cure
Request: Not sure if you are taking requests but I’d love to see a one shot of that scene where Reid is getting washed down bc of anthrax and he asks the reader “I’m about to get naked, do you really wanna see that?” And the reader is like yeah and leads to some sexy times later lmaooo
A/N: Thank you for the request, anon! While I was writing this I was like how do I turn this moment into something sexy??? but I think I figured it out so I hope it makes for a good smutty read!! Enjoy!
Couple: Spencer Reid/Fem!reader
Category: Smut
Content warning: Unprotected sex, penetrative sex, fingering, creampie, swearing, mentions of anthrax
Word count: 2.7k
————-
“Go help Hotch,” Spencer insisted.
“Hotch has plenty of people helping him,” you assured.
The biohazard team was hosing him down with water to eliminate any traces of anthrax possibly lingering on his body. You felt bad you had let him wander off by himself even though he continuously insisted it was his fault. You wanted to stay by his side until he was taken to the hospital. You wanted to make sure he was okay throughout the whole process.
“He needs you more than I do,” he said.
You shook your head in protest. “Spence, I’m going to see you off to the hospital.”
“I’m about to get naked so they can scrub me down. Is that something you really wanna see?” He asked.
Without thinking you answered. “Yes.”
You quickly pressed your lips together as you realized what you had said. He looked at you in shock and you could feel the embarrassment tingling in your gut. The biohazard team looked on as if nothing had occurred but you could tell they heard you just by the brief looks they gave you. They seemed intrigued by what would be the next words to leave either of your mouths.
“Uh, maybe I will go see if Hotch needs help,” you said as you turned around.
“Y/N,” you heard him call.
You immediately turned around. You thought you turned around too eagerly because he looked thrown off by how quickly you switched your attention back to him. Or maybe he was still thrown off by your response to him. Either way you stood there waiting for him to say another word.
“I wa-”
“Dr. Reid, did you cut your hand?” Dr. Kimura asked.
Spencer looked at his left hand and you could see the instant look of panic wash over his face. You felt your heart drop as you saw how scared he looked and you were deeply scared for him. You both had thought he was in the clear for about an hour at that point which scared you even more. While they were hosing him down the anthrax had been going into his bloodstream.
He then let out a raspy cough. The panic started to come over you and you went right up to the glass that separated the both of you. He looked up at you and tried to tell you something but he was interrupted by a series of raspy coughs.
“He needs to get to the hospital now,” Dr. Kimura said.
“Spence, you’re going to be okay. Please tell him he’s going to be okay,” you begged.
“He’ll be okay once we get him to a hospital,” she reassured you.
She grabbed him by the arm and escorted him out of the room. The other biohazard team members rushed to the ambulance in the driveway. You ran out the door to meet them in the driveway. They took out the gurney and helped Spencer onto it.
You looked on in horror as he had trouble catching his breath. You didn’t even think your steps through as you walked towards the ambulance. As they put him in you were ready to climb in along with him. Dr. Kimura had to stop you immediately.
“Agent, you can’t be in the ambulance,” she said.
“But I have to make sure he’s okay,” you said.
“I know you do but I don’t want you to be put at risk. Meet us at the hospital to find out any further details about his health,” she said.
Before you could protest any further she hopped into the ambulance and closed the doors. You heard the sirens blare as they rushed out of the driveway towards the hospital. You ran towards the SUV and hopped into the driver’s side to get ready to follow them.
You took out your phone and called Hotch before you followed them. You impatiently waited for him to answer. You wanted to be by Spencer’s side as soon as possible so he had someone by his side to make sure he was okay. As soon as Hotch answered you frantically babbled everything you had to say to him.
“Hotch, Reid’s going to the hospital because the anthrax is probably in his bloodstream, so I’m going there right now to make sure he’s going to be okay,” you said.
“Y/L/N, how did that even happen? I thought they were going to hose him off,” he said.
“Hotch, I’ll fill you in later but I have to go. Bye,” you said and hung up on him.
You knew Hotch would call you out for your irrational need to panic but you didn’t care. You had to make sure Spencer had some sort of support. He had been through so much by himself and you couldn’t let him go through another downfall in his life alone. You put on your sirens and pulled out of the driveway before rushing to the hospital.
It had been an agonizing three hours of waiting for Spencer to wake up. Lucky for him he found the cure before he was rushed to the hospital. When he did wake up you made sure he was the first person he saw. It would have been you and Morgan but he went to go get an extra jello for Spencer for when he woke up. You and Morgan had eaten both of the jello’s in his room because you both got hungry as you waited for him to open his eyes.
You were over the moon when he had woken up. You couldn’t contain your excitement and went in for a hug immediately. You made sure it wasn’t too tight but close enough so he could feel the warmth you had to give to him. He wrapped his arms around you to hold you tight to him.
He couldn’t thank you enough for being by his side the whole three hours he was asleep. You assured him you would have waited longer if need be. The need did arise when Dr. Kimura informed him she wanted to keep him overnight to make sure he was fully stabilized. You told him you would stay with him as long as possible before the hospital had to send guests home for the night.
You were walking back to his hospital room with a paper bag full of fresh fries from the mom and pop diner from across the street. Spencer said he wished he had some fries to balance out his plain Jane hospital ham and cheese sandwich. You took it upon yourself to get it for him. It was the least you could do for him after everything he had been through in the day.
You knocked on his hospital room door before entering. He was reading a sports magazine Morgan had left behind in his room. From the look of confusion and dissatisfaction on his face you didn’t think he liked it very much. He looked up at you and instantly smiled as he tossed the magazine onto the side table.
“Hey, I got those fries you wanted,” you said.
“Aw, Y/N, you really didn’t have to,” he said.
“Spence, this isn’t the time for you to be overly considerate about my time or money. You almost died today,” you said as you closed the door behind you.
“That’s no excuse to splurge on me,” he said.
You chuckled as you rolled your eyes. “You’re impossible sometimes. If you don’t want them I’ll gladly eat them for you.”
“I didn’t say I didn’t want them, I just said you didn’t have to but since they’re here I’ll eat them,” he said.
You laughed as you walked up to his hospital bed. You sat on the edge and handed over the bag. He smiled as he gladly took the bag from you.
“Thank you for everything, Y/N. I really appreciate you,” he said.
“No problem. Anytime,” you said.
“Can I ask you for one last favour?” He asked.
“Of course,” you said.
“Can you pull the curtains? I don’t feel comfortable with people watching me eat through the windows,” he said.
You got up and walked over to the big curtain to pull it across to block out anyone from looking in. The only light pouring in now was from the little gap of space at the top. You looked over at him with a smile but soon noticed he had put the bag of fries on the side table.
“Aren’t you hungry?” You asked.
“I’m actually curious about what you had said earlier,” he said.
You raised an eyebrow in question to what he meant but you already knew what he was asking about. You walked back over to him and sat on the edge of his hospital bed. You knew he could see through your disguise of playing dumb. You sighed and decided to come clean instead of trying to lie to a profiler.
“I wouldn’t mind seeing you naked. I know it was totally inappropriate and unprofessional and I’m sorry,” you rambled.
“Don’t be sorry,” he said.
“What do you mean?” You asked.
“Because I wanted you to stay,” he admitted.
It took a second for you to comprehend what he said. Your eyes widened as you took in his desire for you to be there as he got naked. You didn’t have any words to say to that. On the inside you were screaming at a high pitch that only dogs could hear but nothing left your mouth. You could see Spencer’s open expression soon fade into a worried one.
“Uh, sorry. Maybe you didn’t mean-”
You leaned in and kissed him briefly on the lips to prevent him from continuing his sentence. When you leaned up from him you could see a thrill spark in his eyes. You softly giggled as you felt adrenaline come over you.
“I think you’re really special, Spence and for months now I’ve had you on my mind,” you confessed.
“So have I. Eight months, twelve days and eight hours to be exact,” he said.
You chuckled. “I’m glad we’re on the same basis. If my profiler skills are on point you didn’t want me to close the blinds so you could eat.”
He smirked. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
You chuckled as you crawled onto the bed and swung your leg over him so you could straddle him. You leaned closer to him so you were right in front of his face. He couldn’t hide his true intentions from you now. He couldn’t help but laugh as you caught him red-handed.
“How about we stop talking and start doing?” You asked before planting a heavy kiss on him.
He latched his hands onto your hips. He lowered your body down so your pelvis could touch his. You could feel how hard he was through his hospital gown. You slowly grinded on his hard bulge to get him even harder. He moaned through the kiss and you loved hearing him being unable to even form a proper word to express how you made him feel.
He slid his hands down to the bottom of your skirt and moved his hands up to pull it up. He managed to slip his fingers underneath you and slowly stroked the cloth of your underwear. You started to moan yourself and you wanted more of what he was doing to you. You moved your underwear out of his way so he could get to stroke you properly.
He didn’t hesitate to run his fingers up and down your folds. He made sure not to forget to pay your clit a visit here and there. You moaned in pleasure as you let him feel you for the first time. You unbuttoned the first four buttons of your blouse because you were getting hot. Spencer had no problem with you revealing more of yourself to him. In fact he looked ecstatic to see you loosen up even more.
He then inserted two fingers into you. You nearly lost your mind as he pumped his fingers in and out of you. He looked you in your eyes as he did. He had a small smirk on his face in response to how you could barely contain yourself anymore. He leaned forward to trap you in another lengthy kiss. From your lips he kissed along the side of your face until he reached your ear.
“I’ve been waiting for a long time to know how you feel,” he whispered.
“I hope it’s everything you’ve ever desired,” you moaned.
“It’s more than I could ever desire,” he whispered.
His words alone could send you over the edge. You pulled back the sheets from under you and proceeded to lift his hospital gown. You gently took his fingers out of you as it was time for you to show him how good you could feel.
You grabbed his dick from underneath you to hold it in place. You gently slid down onto it and you both let out a moan in unison. You grabbed onto his shoulders for support as you gently rode him. You would go faster but you thought he had already been through a wild ride during the day.
The way he grabbed your hips to motion you to go faster indicated to you his heart could take it. You obliged and quickened your pace as you continued to let out countless moans. You looked in his eyes as you rode him and you could see how lost in lust he looked.
“How do I feel now?” You asked.
“Amazing,” he said.
You smiled and leaned down to kiss him again. You couldn’t get over how amazing his kisses were. You didn’t know if you liked his kisses more or his dick. He was definitely the whole package all around and you couldn’t get off the high he made you feel.
You continued to ride him for a few minutes and it was becoming harder and harder for both of you to contain your moans. You then felt him grab your hips to hold them still. You were confused until he started to buck his hips up into you. You accidentally moaned louder than expected so he hushed you as he continued to buck his hips.
“I’m about-”
“Just fucking cum in me.”
“You su-”
“Yes, just do it.”
He grunted as he came in you. You moaned out a sigh and eased up off of his dick. You two were heavily breathing but catching your breaths didn’t stop you from kissing each other. You could have kissed him for hours on end but a knock on the door scared you so deeply you jumped off of him. You fixed your skirt and buttoned your blouse as quickly as possible as Spencer pulled down his nightgown before covering himself with his sheet.
“Come in,” he said.
A security guard came in. He looked at the both of you and for a second you were nervous he knew what you two did. You didn’t exactly care if you two were caught by him but it didn’t make a good first-time story to remember. You immediately grabbed your bag because you came back down to reality and realized what he was going to say.
“Visitation hours are up, miss,” he said.
“I know, I’m leaving now,” you said.
He nodded and left, closing the door behind him. You looked over at Spencer and the both of you laughed. You leaned in and gave him one last kiss.
“I’ll be back tomorrow morning to pick you up,” you said.
“Thank you. I can’t wait to see you tomorrow,” he said.
You smiled. “Me either. See you tomorrow.”
You turned around to walk towards the door. You couldn’t stop smiling to yourself as you thought about the possibilities of tomorrow and the future with Spencer held. Before you turned the doorknob to leave, you heard him call you.
“Y/N,” he said.
You turned your head. “Yes?”
“I can’t let you leave without asking you on a date. Would you like to go on a date next week?” He asked.
You giggled. Even though the two of you just had sex in his hospital bed, he still had to be a gentleman about the whole thing. He was definitely the best guy you had ever known. You nodded in excitement.
“I would love to, Spence,” you replied.
He smiled. “Awesome. I can’t wait. Goodnight, Y/N.”
“Goodnight, Spence."

All she could think about was his face. The way his grey eyes had pierced her soul last night—the feeling of his hands on her hips.
“Earth to Y/N.”
Her attention snapped back to the present. A perplexed Hannah was looking at her. “You alright? You looked really zoned out.”
Y/N blinked rapidly, “Yeah, yeah, I’m good. Sorry. What were we talking about again?” Y/N asked while lightly slapping her cheeks to bring herself back to reality.
“We were going over our plans to study for the transfiguration exam. We agreed to meet in the library on Sunday.” Hannah said, her tone sounding slightly irritated.
“Oh yeah, that’s…” Y/N caught sight of him, her eyes glued to him until he left the Great Hall, “fine. That’s fine.”
Hannah followed her gaze. “Seriously, Y/N? Malfoy? That’s who you hooked up with last night?”
Her friend’s words drove fear into her chest, “Would you shut up? Someone’s gonna hear you!” Y/N whisper yelled. Hannah threw her hands up in exasperation.
Y/N shrugged her shoulders and picked up another slice of bread.“So what if it was Malfoy? What’s wrong with that?” she asked, oblivious as to why Hannah was so upset.
“What’s wrong with that? Y/N, you simply can’t be serious. Malfoy’s an arse. He bullies anyone who isn’t a Slytherin. Hell, he’s bullied you numerous times. Not to mention he’s not even that attractive.”
Y/N’s mouth fell open upon hearing her friend’s words. “Not attractive? Hannah, have you gone blind? Have you looked at the guy?
Hannah rolled her eyes and dropped her face into her hands. “There’s no hope for you. It’s over. I mean, I can already tell you’ve caught feelings.”
“I most certainly have not!” Y/N exclaimed, inadvertently causing the people around her to stare. “I’m not an idiot, it was a one-time thing,” she muttered while picking at her eggs.
“I hope you mean that,” Hannah said. Y/N couldn’t meet her eyes.
Her friend sighed and reached across the table to grasp Y/N’s hand. “Don’t think too much, you’ll give yourself a headache.”
Y/N ignored her and pulled her hand away while saying, “Snape will have our heads if we’re late, we’d better go.”
The two Hufflepuffs rose to their feet and made their way to the doors. As they were walking through them, Y/N felt a hand grab her wrist. She let out a little yelp and whipped her head around to see none other than Draco Malfoy. “I need to speak with you,” he said, his tone firm.
Hannah had noticed her friend disappear from her side. When Y/N looked back at her, her hip was popped, and her eyebrow cocked. Her facial expression suggested she wouldn’t be happy if Y/N stayed behind to talk with Draco.
Y/N gave her an apologetic smile, hoping it would appease Hannah. It did not. She shook her head and promptly stomped off to class.
Slowly, Y/N turned around to face the blonde boy behind her. His hand hadn’t left her wrist, but he let go once he realized he was still holding it. Clearing his throat, he looked both ways before speaking.
“Have you told anyone?” his grey eyes once again pierced her soul.
She shook her head, but then remembered Hannah. “I haven’t told anyone, but Hannah did figure it out,” she said, nervously biting her lip. His eyes flickered to her lips before returning to her eyes.
“If we are to continue this, nobody can know. Do you understand me?”
Y/N couldn’t keep her eyes from widening in shock. “I’m sorry, did I hear you correctly? You want to continue this?”
Draco raised his eyebrow. “You don’t?”
Her hands waved frantically. “No, no, I do, I just… I dunno, I didn’t think you’d want to is all. But I’d like to continue, yes. If that’s alright with you, of course.”
Draco gave her a displeased look, “You’re very annoying,” he said, “But you’re accessible so just keep it under wraps, alright? Besides, you wouldn’t want to see what happens if I find out you’ve told people. Understand?”
Y/N was quite frankly insulted by the way he spoke about her. He straight up, had called her “accessible.” She was about to give him a piece of her mind, but then he gave her a look, and she thought better of it and nodded frantically.
“Yes. My lips are sealed.” She rocked back and forth on her heels in an attempt to calm herself down.
Draco scanned her up and down before nodding. “Good,” he said. And then he began to walk away. Y/N didn’t think before calling out to him.
“How will I know when you wanna, you know, do it?”
He didn’t bother to stop walking when he called back, “I’ll find you.”
-------
Y/N buried her face in her pillow. If she concentrated, she could still smell his cologne on it. She breathed in deeply as she reminisced the events of a few nights prior. Somehow, Draco had found her while she was taking a midnight trip to the kitchens. He didn’t have to say anything to her, she knew what he wanted, and frankly, she wanted it too.
He took them to her dorm since it was closer. He pushed her up against the wall, wrapped his hand around her throat, and whispered in her ear, “Such a pretty mouth. You’d better keep it shut, though. Wouldn’t want anyone to hear us, would you, darling?”
She still got chills when she thought about it. Lucky for her, it was a Saturday, meaning she could stay in bed as long as she liked. Or so she thought.
“Wake up. They’re serving pancakes today. You don’t wanna be late,” Hannah said in a sing-song voice. Y/N groaned; she really needed Hannah to stop interrupting her daydreams.
“Oh, don’t be like that. They’re serving blueberry pancakes.”
Y/N flung the sheets off her chest. “On second thought, let’s go,” she said. Hannah laughed, “I knew that’d get you up. You really need to stop staying up so late, though.”
“Yeah yeah, you need to stop getting up so early. The plants aren’t going to die if you fail to water them at exactly six in the morning.”
“How do you know? You forget to water Pepper all the time.” Hannah replied.
Pepper was Y/N’s little cactus. It sat on her nightstand in a yellow pot. She loved Pepper dearly.
“Hannah, Pepper is a cactus, and cactuses don’t need a lot of water, so take that!”
Hannah rolled her eyes. “Come on; we might legitimately miss pancakes if you don’t hurry.” And with that, the Hufflepuff threw on a sweatshirt and jeans and rushed down to the Great Hall.
Y/N was practically running through the corridors; she could almost taste the pancakes on her tongue. “Geez Y/N, wait up!” Hannah called after her, desperately trying to keep up.
In her haste, Y/N didn’t notice the group of people turning the corner, and she wasn’t able to stop her feet. She crashed right into the boy in the middle of them.
“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you,” Y/N stammered, holding out her hand to the boy she’d knocked over.
He got to his hands and knees and pushed himself up. When he turned around and faced her, Y/N’s heart sunk.
“Y/L/N?” He scoffed. “Look where you’re going next time. Blimey, what a waste of space,” he shouted, his minions laughing along with him. Y/N felt her face burn with embarrassment and a little bit of hurt.
Hannah, who had caught up to her friend, chimed in, “Shut up, Malfoy, why do you insist on being such a git?”
“You wanna say that again, Abbott?” Draco threatened, reaching inside his robe for his wand.
“Hey, hey, let’s just calm down, alright? Nobody’s hurt, we ought to keep it that way,” Y/N reasoned, despite her desire to give Draco a right punch in the gut. Reluctantly, he put his wand away.
“Come on, boys, these twits aren’t worth our time,” Draco said coldly as he and his friends strutted away.
“What a knobhead, I mean honestly, you’d think he’d be a bit nicer towards the girl he’s sleeping with,” Hannah said through gritted teeth. Y/N didn’t even care about her friend’s volume. After all, it didn’t matter anymore.
“Well, he’s not sleeping with me again. Not after that, I’m done with his shit,” Y/N said, tears gathering in her eyes.
Hannah smiled upon hearing her words, “Bloody hell, it’s about time you realized he was no good. Now let’s get some pancakes, yeah? Come on, you deserve some.” The pair walked into the Great Hall to begin their pancake feast.
---------
A few weeks later, Y/N was sitting on a bench by one of the many windows in the Hogwarts corridors when a boy wearing a Hufflepuff scarf walked up to her. She looked up and noticed it was Cedric Diggory. Cedric was only a year above her, but they hadn’t talked much.
“Cedric? Do you need anything?”
He smiled, “Nothing in particular, no. I just saw you sitting alone, and I thought you might enjoy some company. Am I mistaken?”
Y/N felt her face flush. “Oh, uhm no, you’re not wrong at all,” she stammered.
Cedric stood awkwardly. “Oh! How can you sit if I don’t move over?” Y/N asked while she gave a nervous laugh. Cedric was by far one of the most attractive boys in Hufflepuff, so it only made sense that his desire to sit with her, of all people, was making Y/N nervous.
He chuckled at her anxiousness and took a seat next to her. The bench was relatively small due to Y/N’s things taking up a quarter of the space. This caused her hips to touch his. This made her face burn even more.
“So why are you all alone on a Friday afternoon?” he asked.
Y/N felt her heart clench, “Oh well, my best friend, Hannah, and I are actually in a little bit of a row at the moment. I may have unknowingly talked about her crush a bit too loudly, and they overheard. She’s not very happy with me, understandably.”
“Ah, I see. But it was an accident, and surely she’ll forgive you sooner rather than later. Don’t you think?” Cedric asked, trying to reassure Y/N.
“I hope so. Lately, she’s been a bit dodgy. She’s been really short with me, yelling at me all the time. It’s not like her,” she remarked.
“Perhaps she’s dealing with something personal. And if she is, then she’s probably taking out her frustrations on you. And don’t get me wrong,” he said while holding his hands up, “that doesn’t make her actions, okay, but if that is the case, then that would mean you’re not the problem. Does that make sense?” Cedric asked.
She gave him a warm smile and nodded her head. “Yeah, actually, it does. Thank you, I never thought about it like that,” she said.
He laughed, the deep baritone of his voice coming to the forefront. “Well, I’m glad I could show you a different perspective on the situation. Sometimes that’s all you need.”
“Yeah, I suppose so,” she said. When he didn’t reply, her eyes fell to her lap, too nervous to look him in the eyes. But then she felt his hand on her face. He gently took her chin between his thumb and fingers and turned her face upwards to look at him. He was smirking.
“You don’t need to be nervous, sweetheart. I don’t bite,” Cedric said as he moved his hand from her chin to her hair. He pushed some stray strands behind her ear so that her face wasn’t covered.
Y/N’s heart began to pound. This boy was making her sweat. She noticed then that he had grey eyes, just like Draco. Her chest grew tight at the thought of him. She hated to admit it, but often she found herself missing the blonde boy, even if he was an arse.
Her attention was brought back to Cedric when he spoke, “If I were to ask you on a date, would you say yes?”
Air got caught in Y/N’s throat, and she launched into a fit of coughs. Cedric immediately reached for his wand. He took her hands and put one on top of the other to create a makeshift bowl. Pointing his wand to her hands, he said, “Aguamenti.”
Water spouted from the tip of his wand and flowed into Y/N’s hands. She eagerly slurped it up, soothing her dry throat. They repeated this process a couple more times before Y/N was satisfied.
“Thank you, that was so embarrassing. I’m sorry you had to do that.”
Cedric only laughed. “No problem. You sure you’re alright?” he asked.
She nodded fervently, “Yes, I promise.”
“Well, in that case, what do you say? To the date, I mean.”
Y/N tapped her finger to her lips, pretending to think. Cedric gave her an unimpressed look that made her giggle and break character. “Yes, Cedric, I’d love to go on a date with you,” she said.
A huge grin broke out on his face, and he rushed to his feet, “Brilliant, I’ll meet you in the common room tomorrow night at eight. Don’t be late!” he called as he sprinted down the hall. Y/N could only laugh at his playful nature. “Okay!” she yelled back to him.
Once he rounded the corner and was out of sight, she let herself plop down on her back with a dreamy sigh. “I’m going on a date with Cedric Diggory,” she spoke out loud.
“How pathetic,” said a voice.
Y/N sat straight up and sharply whipped her head around. Sure enough, there stood Draco, this time without his minions.
“Shut up, Malfoy, what do you care anyway?” Y/N muttered.
“I don’t,” he said before he took a bite of the green apple in his hand, “It’s just that you fancied me a few weeks ago, didn’t you, Y/L/N?”
Y/N shifted in her seat and crossed her arms defensively. “So what if I did. I reckon you were starting to grow fond of me too.”
Draco scoffed, a smile appearing on his lips. “You’re insane to think I’d ever fancy you.”
His words were like a slap in the face to Y/N. She honestly thought that he would have developed some mutual feelings for her. It turns out she was wrong.
“Well, at least I’m not a low life scumbag like you. All you care about is your reputation. Don’t you have any emotions? Did you even care about me when we were fooling around, or was I just a toy to you?” Y/N’s chest heaved with anger as she finished yelling at him.
He stood eerily still. Silence fell over the corridor.
“You don’t even care anymore, do you? You never did.”
Draco clenched his fists, trying to control himself. But the longer he looked at her, the weaker his resolve became. Without thinking, he bolted towards Y/N, startling her as he did so.
He grabbed her chin forcefully and tilted her face upwards, a stark difference from how Cedric had just minutes ago. She avoided his eyes, breathing heavily with fear.
“Look at me,” Draco demanded. Her eyes remained fixated on his chest.
“Perhaps you didn’t hear me. I said, look at me!”
He was yelling now, his grip growing tighter. Y/N was afraid of him leaving bruises, so she caved and let her eyes travel to his. His pupils were wide, and his teeth were gritted. He saw the fright in her eyes and smirked. “Scared, Y/L/N?” he asked, chuckling at the look on her face, “you should be. It seems that you’ve forgotten who you belong to, little girl.”
Y/N’s heart must’ve been going a mile a minute; it felt like it was going to break out of her ribcage. The man in front of her looked so attractive. She began to feel her temperature rising.
“You’re mine,” Draco said before he pressed his lips to hers aggressively. She gasped into his mouth; he took this as an opportunity to slip his tongue inside. He ran his hand up her neck and into her hair, where he grasped it tightly between his fingers. This new leverage allowed him to angle her chin upwards. He kissed her intensely until he was forced to pull away to catch his breath. When he opened his eyes, he saw Y/N’s flushed face and swollen lips. She wasted no time and smashed her lips back onto his, letting out a soft moan as she did.
“God, you’re breathtaking,” he muttered, pulling away once again.
Y/N rolled her eyes, “I hate you,” she laughed. Draco smirked and looked away from her lips so that he could gaze into her eyes once more. “Liar,” he said. Y/N bit her lip.
“Perhaps,” she said while giggling.
Draco rolled his eyes and leaned in to kiss her neck, simultaneously running his hand underneath her button-up shirt. He heard her breath waver as he did this. Little noises escaped his mouth when he sucked her skin between his teeth. She squirmed under his touch, unable to sit still. His hand reached her breast, and he gingerly squeezed her through her bra.
“Let’s take this elsewhere,” Y/N suggested. Draco paid her no mind and continued to suck on her neck.
“Draco, please. We can’t do this here, and I want you now,” she pleaded.
He pulled away to smile smugly at her. “Desperate today, aren’t we?”
Y/N whined in response, wiggling her hips. Draco laughed at her eagerness. “Alright, alright, let’s go.”
They jumped to their feet and grasped each other’s hand as they dashed down the hallway and all the way to the Slytherin common room entrance. “Dementor,” Draco whispered. The walls opened up to reveal a stairway heading down into the dark common room Y/N had come to be familiar with. Luckily, nobody was in the main room.
They practically ran up the steps to the boys’ dorm. Older Slytherin boys had figured out how to dispel the charm preventing females from entering a long time ago, so the pair were able to get inside easily.
Draco burst through the door to his shared room with Crabbe, Goyle, and Blaise. “Out,” he demanded. The boys didn’t ask questions. They simply dropped what they were doing and left the dorm room.
He turned to Y/N. “Where were we?” he asked playfully while he took his shoes off.
“Don’t tease me, Malfoy,” she replied snarkily as she did the same.
“You’re not the one in charge here, love,” Draco snapped while pushing her backward towards his bed. She fell onto the emerald green sheets covering his mattress. He wasted no time climbing on top of her. She immediately rolled her hips upwards, craving friction. Draco grabbed her hips and pushed them into the bed. “Patience, love,” he said softly.
But Y/N wasn’t having any of it. She writhed underneath him, trying to break free of his hold. He didn’t like this one bit, so he put his hand on her throat. This halted her movements instantly.
“Be still, little girl. Good things come to those who wait,” he said in a sultry voice. Y/N nodded, her eyes wide open.
Slowly, he trailed his hand from her hickey covered neck down to her chest where he began to unbutton her shirt. She struggled to remain motionless as he skillfully removed her shirt and tie. He licked his lips when her shirt was out of the way, and he could see her full breasts.
“Take it off,” he commanded. Y/N sat up and reached behind her back to unclasp her bra. When it fell from her shoulders, Draco latched his mouth onto her nipple, causing her to let out a deep moan. He smirked as he flicked her nub with his tongue. His other hand was making its way to her center.
Y/N didn’t notice his touch until a finger slipped inside her. She gasped sharply and felt herself clench down on him. He detached his mouth from her breast and lightly laughed.
“Such a needy little thing, aren’t you?”
Y/N moaned and whispered, “Just fuck me already, you arsehole.”
Draco hummed, pretending to consider her request. “No, I don’t think I will. I don’t think you deserve it.”
She whined and rolled her hips again. As she did this, he slipped another digit into her pussy. “Fuck, Draco,” she groaned. Suddenly, he removed his fingers. He watched as she pressed her thighs together, trying to stimulate herself. “What the hell?” she asked angrily.
“Do you want me to get naked or not, darling?”
Y/N crossed her arms across her chest and pouted. He simply laughed at her and began to unbutton his own shirt as well as remove his belt. She took this time to kick off her skirt and underwear.
Draco bit his lip when he saw her bare pussy. He felt his dick twitch in his pants, and he sped up his pace, eager to continue what he started.
Once he’d gotten his pants off, he leaned his face downwards and began to kiss the insides of her soft thighs. She propped herself up onto her elbows so she could watch as he got closer and closer to her center. When his tongue made contact with her pussy, she felt a shudder go through her entire being, and she let her head fall back onto the plush pillows.
“Draco,” she moaned as he sucked on her clit, sending waves of pleasure through her body. Her hands found his hair, and she gripped his blonde locks tightly, trying to keep herself stable as he continued to lick and suck her.
He continues eating her out for nearly ten minutes before adding his fingers back into the equation. He swiftly slides three fingers inside her wet pussy. Y/N gasped out in pleasure. “Please,” she said, not quite aware of what she was begging for. Draco moved his fingers in and out of her while still sucking her clit. “Fuck! Right there, right there, please don’t stop,” she pleaded.
Draco obliged and maintained his pace. Y/N arched her back as it all became too much. Her mouth fell open as her climax overtook her system. Draco didn’t stop his motions. He continued stimulating her through her orgasm, only pulling away when he felt aftershock jolts pulse through her body. Y/N’s eyes began to close.
“We’re not done yet, sweetheart,” Draco said while pulling his boxers off and beginning to palm himself. He leaned down to kiss her softly, allowing Y/N to taste herself on his lips. She moaned into the kiss and ran her hands up his scalp. His hand reached for his nightstand to the left of his bed. Pulling away from the kiss, he dug into the drawer and pulled out a condom, quickly rolling it onto his dick.
She pulled him back in for another kiss while he lined himself up at her center and slightly pushed the tip inside. Y/N couldn’t resist the urge to wiggle her hips, successfully making Draco hiss. He put his hands on either side of her head and, without warning, slammed his dick inside her and began thrusting in and out at a quick pace.
She cried out in ecstasy as she finally felt herself become full. The pressure in her abdomen began to build again. Draco’s eyebrows were tightly knit as he focused his energy into each firm thrust of his hips. The sound of skin slapping seemed to echo through the dorm.
Y/N wrapped her legs around his waist as he slowed his pace, opting to tease her rather than chase his own climax. The feeling of him gently pushing into her made Y/N whine in frustration. She wanted to reach her high so badly, and Draco was making it difficult. She decided she wanted to cum, so she sneakily stretched her hand down to her clit. But it was promptly slapped away by the man on top of her.
“Don’t even think about it, little girl,” he growled. But he began to pick up his pace, making Y/N mewl delightfully as the pressure once again began to increase. It seemed like Draco was getting close as well, his thrusts were sloppy, and he was panting hard.
“Please, please, I’m so close, Draco,” she cried out.
“Me too, sweetheart, me too,” he said in between grunts of pleasure.
He felt her pussy grow tighter as it contracted around his dick. He knew he wouldn’t last much longer. Each thrust felt better than the last. Her hips met his, eagerly, over and over until finally, she felt herself tip over the edge yet again. Y/N saw stars as Draco pounded into her even faster as he chased his release. He drove his dick in and out of her pussy until he, too, met his climax, cumming into the condom while her walls twitched around him.
Draco lets his body collapse on top of her, both of them breathing heavily as they came down from their highs. Slowly, he pulled himself out of her, hissing as he did. She whined at the loss of her feeling of fullness. He took off the condom, threw it into a nearby bin, and then lied down next to Y/N.
“That was incredible,” Y/N uttered quietly. Draco laughed when he saw the blissful look on her face. He rolled over so that his body was facing hers, and he pulled her towards him. She nestled her face into his chest.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it. However, I do need to clear some things up,” Draco said while stroking her hair. She hummed against him.
“And what would that be?” she asked.
“Well, for starters, I’m gonna need you to tell Cedric you’ve changed your mind about your guys’ little date,” he said in a firm tone of voice. Y/N laughed into the crook of his neck.
“I’m dead serious. If you don’t tell him, then I will. Don’t test me.”
“Okay, okay. I’ll tell Cedric I changed my mind. But does this mean we’re…”
“Official? Yes, it does. I thought I conveyed that when I told you you’re mine,” Draco said, reminding her of today’s previous events.
He felt her wiggle in his arms. “What’s got you so squirmy tonight? You haven’t sat still for even a moment,” he chuckled. She mumbled an answer.
“Didn’t quite catch that, love,” Draco teased.
“I said, you, you nitwit,” she whispered angrily. He laughed and placed a kiss on her head. It felt good to have her back in his arms. And this time, he wasn’t going to let her go.

Hi there. Would you mind writing about Aomine and Kise from KNBA and Miukiy and Kuramochi with a fem s/o who has a very long hair but next day it was cut short ? Very short and shorter than the boys hair too. I just had mine cut and everything feels weird now but its refreshing 😅.
omg hi!! i bet you look so good with your new hair, anon! :D i love this idea!
warnings: none
KNB: aomine daiki x reader, kise ryouta x reader
DNA: miyuki kazuya x reader, kuramochi youichi x reader
new look
you figured it was time for a change— you’ve had your hair growing for years now, and you wondered what it would look like if it was cut short; and i mean short, almost in par with your boyfriend’s hair.
aomine daiki:
you were waiting for aomine after school since he had basketball practice. you twiddled with your thumbs, nervous of how he’d react to your new look. you knew he loved the sway of your long hair, but it was about time you cut it short. you’ve had a couple compliments from other students during the day, but what was important to you was aomine’s opinion.
“oi y/n, is that you?”
you looked up to see your boyfriend staring right down at you, grinning. “your hair’s nice.”
a blush formed across your cheeks, bringing your hand up to twirl the short locks between your fingers. “do you really like it, daiki?”
“it suits you. though i don’t think i have anything to pull on anymore..”
“daiki!”
“just kidding.” he joked, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you in, “you look beautiful to me.” he kissed your forehead and then your lips, your emotions happy because your boyfriend loved your new hair.
“but i have to do something first, y/n.” he said lowly, a menacing smile appearing.
“what is it, daiki…”
he slapped your head instantly, and started running away.
“i like your cut, g!”
oh he was so going to get it later.
kise ryouta:
“y/n-cchi, your hair!!” kise yelled when you opened the door for him.
both of you guys planned a date for today, and you figured you’d cut your long hair, that you grew for a while now, short. you’ve always fantasized about it, and you’ll admit, you look pretty darn good.
you laughed at your boyfriend, who was shrieking at your new appearance. “what, you don’t like it ryouta?” you questioned, twirling your locks with your fingers. kise huffed and pulled you into a hug, blocking your airway through your nose and mouth. “ryouta honey, i can’t breathe..” you said, patting on his arms.
“you are too darn beautiful, y/n-cchi!! i have to keep you away from everyone else!” he whined, not letting go of your head. you softly pushed him away causing a pout leave his lips. you caught your breath and giggled at him, “don’t be silly, ryouta. we’ve been looking forward to this day since forever.”
suddenly, kise grabbed your hand and kissed it, leaving his lips on it for a while. your heart skipped a beat, warming up to kise’s affection towards you.
“then i guess i’ll have to show you off for today and let everyone know that you’re mine, hmph.”
miyuki kazuya:
ah, my heart’s beating so fast.
anxiety and nervousness started to fill your thoughts, overthinking about how miyuki would react to your hair. it was one of the hottest summers in tokyo, and your long hair just became a nuisance as it just stuck everywhere. once you chopped it off, you’ve never felt so refreshed.
but you knew miyuki liked running his fingers through your hair, and you couldn’t help but wonder if he’d be upset. will he still think i’m pretty? you thought, your emotions going more to the melancholy side of the spectrum.
then, you heard the door open, hearing your boyfriend softly pant. “ah sawamura, what are you doing in my room?” miyuki asked, putting his things down. a vein popped in your head and you clenched your teeth, annoyed that he didn’t even recognize that it was you. does he think i’m sawamura? this idiot! you cussed to yourself.
“idiot kazuya, i’m not sawamura!” you said, turning around to face him. you pouted and crossed your arms across your chest, staring him straight in the eye. you let out a couple “grr’s,” but once he realized that it was you, his breath got caught in his throat. his eyes lingered on you for a while, ignoring your complaints and focusing on the person that was in front of him. he was in awe of how beautiful you were; i mean he always thought you were beautiful with your long hair, but this just made his heart bounce in ways he never knew it could.
you started to get uncomfortable under his gaze, wondering if he didn’t like your new haircut. that idiot, why is he staring so much? you coughed, interrupting his stare. “if you don’t like it just say so,” you huffed, looking away from his eyes. he made his way towards you and hugged you, bringing a hand to your head to scratch at your scalp a bit.
“you’re so pretty, y/n.” he says, playing a bit with your hair. “it looks so good on you.” you couldn’t help but smile at his profession, ecstatic to hear that your boyfriend loved the new hair as much as you did. your worries slowly left your head as you relaxed in his arms. “thank you, kazuya. it was way too hot for the long hair.”
“mm, i get that. but damn did you look like sawamura from the back.”
“keep talking and i’m not buying you a drink from the vending machine tomorrow.”
kuramochi youichi:
“did you see y/n’s new look?”
everyone was talking about that today since you decided to chop off your long hair; it was your own trait everyone knew you by, so a lot—or everyone— noticed your new cut. some of your classmates liked it, some of them didn’t— but you really couldn’t care less. this was your choice and you were happy with it.
but kuramochi didn’t know about this and was extremely confused when everyone was talking about it. he went up to miyuki, asking if he knew what everyone was talking about. “did you see y/n’s new hair? how come she didn’t tell me about it?” he asked, genuinely discombobulated at the whispers and rumours.
“apparently she cut it super duper short,” miyuki replied, flipping through the pages of the score book. “but i haven’t seen her.”
kuramochi quickly took his phone out to send you a quick text to come to his classroom until he heard his name being called.
“youichi!”
his eyes looked up from his phone and saw you at the door, hair cut short to the head, and styled perfectly in all the right places. he widened his eyes and a pink color blossomed across his cheeks.
“i’ve been looking everywhere for you!” you said, stomping into the classroom, “i bought you milk from the vending machine!” everyone in the classroom stopped talking and kept their eyes on you as you made your way towards your boyfriend.
“wow, y/n’s actually rocking that hairstyle.”
“she’s so cute!”
“y/n-chan is so pretty.”
soon enough, the whole classroom began to chatter again about your delightful appearance, a lot of compliments being thrown into the air. you bowed as a joke and said, “thank you guys!” you laughed and handed the canned milk to your boyfriend, “drink up, buttercup.”
he took the milk and wrapped his arm around you, looking at all his classmates one by one. “listen up, you can look but you must keep a distance. she’s mine.”
you giggled at your boyfriend’s reaction, happy that he liked the new hair on you. you tiptoed to give a kiss on his cheek, leaning into his side more.
“you’re so embarrassing, kuramochi.” miyuki sighed.
OMG I HAD LOADS OF FUN WRITING THIS! would love some feedback and thank you for the support my love! i hope you enjoy <:

Part 2
There were ants in your bones, there must’ve been. Either that or someone was trying to feather dust their way out of them. Your entire body itched with the urge to move, to run, to scream and jump in the middle of the street. You couldn’t quite put your finger on what drove this overwhelming desire, perhaps it was some sort of primal reason coded into your DNA, alternatively maybe it was the sitting at your computer all day. One could only attend so many online classes before they went insane, and a decent way into your second semester and still no sign of going back in person anytime before the next school year. You were like a purebred who desperately needed exercise. It would’ve been a simple enough fix if it wasn’t already 10:17, the sun having set four or so hours ago, even though you lived in a pretty nice area you didn’t feel comfortable going out. Men were disgusting, and going out this late alone meant risking life and limb because too many men thought it was okay to touch what wasn’t theirs. Fucking toddlers. So instead you were forced to open your windows in attempts to replicate the natural breeze and try to find another outlet for your energy. You tried. You really did. Jumping jacks, planks, the few yoga poses you could recall off the top of your head, dancing around your house to your favorite songs, but the music didn’t feel like it usually did, even it couldn’t soothe the itching in your bones. You were fucked, simply and truly. Too energetic without the proper outlet. After none of those things worked you sat down to attempt to get some of your weekend homework done, but somewhere between ionization energy and confidence intervals you found yourself picking at your nail polish instead of paying attention to your work. Groaning you threw your head down onto your desk, wincing as the pain from the impact spread through your skull. Closing your eyes you tried to imagine it, the cool night air in your face, blowing through your mangled tresses, the thud of your feet against the pavement of the sidewalk, the feeling of the grass at the park tickling your exposed skin as you stared up at the cloudy sky, looking for stars. You swore you could almost feel it all, almost pulled into bliss when you were yanked from your reprieve by the buzzing of your phone. Groaning, you pulled your head up, it wobbled on your neck, as though it was loose and needed to be tightened. Had you wanted to you couldn’t have stopped the smile that broke across your phone when you saw the notification on your lock screen, a text from James. Can I call you? Sure. You typed out waiting anxiously for your ringtone to blare through your room. Instead you were met with another brief buzz. One second, Sirius is being an idiot. Another smile, smaller than the last, bloomed across your face, Sirius was often an idiot. Picking up your phone you pressed it to your ear just in time to hear James greet you. “Hey baby.” Loving James was potentially one of the easiest things you’d ever done, if asked you would've said it would be easier to stop breathing before you stopped loving him. There was just so much to love and as his voice tickled your ear you remembered one of the things you so loved about him, the sound of his voice. With two simple words he was able to soothe you, if only a little bit. But still the ache to be outside lessened a little. “Hi Jamsie.” You crooned into the phone as you shut down your laptop coming to the conclusion you were going to get jack shit done tonight. You distantly heard Sirius in the background but couldn’t make out any words, “Pads says hi.” James conveyed. “Hi Siri!” You yelled into the phone, you waited until the bickering and laughing on their side of the phone quieted before continuing, “Whatcha callin’ about bub?” “Missed you is all, was wondering what you were doing?” “Nothing much, tried to get some homework done.” James chuckled knowing how distracted you could get if someone wasn’t there to help you stay on track, “How’d that go?” “Not well,” You grumbled, “S’not my fault either, can’t focus. I just need some fresh air, I need to go on a walk but I can’t.” Flinging your body onto your bed and landing on your back you pulled the phone from your ear, turning it onto speaker and setting it on your belly, liking the vibrations against your body as James spoke. It was almost like he was there with you. “I’m sorry darling,” James knew exactly what you were talking about. Unlike a lot of men he wasn’t afraid to broach topics like these, he would sit and kiss your head if some guy at the grocery store had been a prick and couldn't keep his eyes or his hands off of your ass, or if one of the boys in your class had made an objectifying comment. He’d listen to you lament and apologize, on behalf of all men, for the disgusting things you were forced to deal with. He had learned a lot since you started dating, he’d always been a feminist but before you hadn’t really understood what that meant. His mother and father always made sure he was aware of gender biases and he’d heard stories of women being assaulted, harassed, discriminated against and perhaps it made him a bad person but when it happened to you, when you told him about these things it was different, it was worse, he couldn’t control the rage that bubbled up inside of him. You were (Y/N) (L/N), you were his, you deserved to be treated like royalty. No one got to disrespect you. He felt the pang in his heart when he pictured you holed up in your house, like a caged animal, desperate to get out. “I know, and I love you.” You responded, knowing he hated how you had to be afraid and cautious all the time. “I love you too.” “What were you doing before you called?” You asked after a beat. “Watching a movie with mom and Sirius.” A twinge of guilt twisted in your stomach, “Oh, you should go back to them Jamsie, I don’t want to keep you from your family.” James stopped himself before he could tell you that they’d already finished the movie as an idea hit him like most of his ideas hit him, suddenly and fleetingly. Remus once compared them to a freight train. “Okay angel, talk to you later.” “Bye, Jamsie.” He hung up immediately as the last syllable left your lips causing a frown to tug downwards at those aforementioned lips. Sure, you felt a bit guilty that he’d bailed on his mom and Sirius for you but you couldn’t help feeling a little sad that he was so ready to get rid of you the second he had a chance. Feeling all too familiar insecurity simmer from under your sternum questions popped into your head one after another. Did he really want to be with you? Was this all because he just pitied you? Were you just a substitute for Lily? Did his heart still belong to her? What did he even see in you? You couldn’t help but feel like nothing compared to her, she’s Lily Evans. And you’re, well you’re just not. Time had slipped away from you, you hadn’t realised how much until you felt your phone buzz against your stomach and saw that almost 15 minutes had passed since James had hung up on you. You only briefly noted the time before your eyes flashed down to the banner displayed across your screen, another text. Look out your window. Lifting your torso, propping yourself up on your forearms and twisted your head to see James’ smiling face plastered against your window, a huge, beautiful grin, stretching across his face. You could feel a matching one fan out across your face as you skipped to the window, pulling it open relishing in the cool breeze that let itself into your room. “Hey there handsome.” You joked. “Hey beautiful.” “What are you doing outside my window?” You were befuddled, wasn’t he supposed to be watching some Quentin Tarantino or equally violent movies that he and Siri liked? “I was thinking we could go on a walk,” He explained unabashedly. “A walk?” You asked, a blush blossoming on your face, creeping its way down your neck. “You wanted to go on one, yeah?” “I love you.” Was all you said in response, he caught you as you threw yourself into his arms, the middle of your thighs biting into the sill of your window, but you didn’t care. How could you? All you could focus on was the way his arms wrapped around your body, pulling you close to him so he could bury his nose into your hair. “Love you too darling.” There was a part of you, an admittedly large part, that wanted to stay standing there forever but the cool evening air reminded you about how much you wanted that walk. Peeling yourself away from him you placed your chin on his pectoral, not considerably comfortable for either of you, but you were close to each other, and that’s all that mattered. “Come in.” “I was waiting for you to ask.” He winked, slinging one leg over the windowsill giving him room to maneuver his rather large body through the small opening, but James had experience fitting his body into tiny things (namely your cunt). “Are your parents home?” “No, everyone’s gone for the night.” “Why didn’t you tell me baby, I would’ve come over and kept you company.” You felt heat creep back up your neck to your face, embarrassed by the answer. Though your insecurities could swallow you whole when you were alone, they seemed trivial when James was actually there, staring down at you with so much love in his eyes. “Don’t want to be clingy.” The confession bringing even more heat to your cheeks. “Never, (Y/N), absolutely never. If anyone here is clingy it's me not you.” You corrected him, “You’re wonderful.” “So are you bub.” Reassuring you he brushed a piece of hair out of your face. “Now come on! Let’s get some shoes on you and we can go out.”
James was filling up an old water bottle he found in one of the cupboards in case either of you got thirsty when you entered the kitchen, shoes and socks in hand. Your boy smiled at you, twisting the cap of the water bottle on all of the way before setting it on the countertop and moving towards you. “Want me to put your shoes on for you?” “Yes please.” You nodded, grinning cheekily. His large hands found your waist, lifting you up and setting your bum onto the cool counter. Slipping the socks from your hand he knelt down to roll them over your feet, leaving a kiss on the inside of each of your ankles. “You wanna walk to anywhere in particular?” “The park?” You offered, handing him one of your tennis shoes which were a little beat up, but still a long way from needing to be replaced. “The one with the fountain?” “Do you know of any other parks within walking distance?” You snarked, swinging your legs, feeling the need to be outside return, faster and more powerful than before. “Guess not,” He grumbled, looking up at you with a playful smile so you would know he didn’t really take your sarcasm to heart. “Hey watch it!” He chuckled when you accidentally swung your leg a little too hard and knocked his left shoulder with your socked foot. “Sorry.” You apologized looking about as sorry as Sirius usually did when he was apologizing, which honestly wasn’t much. “There you go Cinderella.” He said, as he pat your thigh once he finished tying your laces, rising from his kneeling position. “You think you’re funny do you Potter?” “In fact I do (L/N).” He grinned, sliding you off the counter, onto your feet. “Shall we?” You offered your hand to him which he accepted like a true gentleman. “We shall.”
You were right, but then again, when were you ever wrong? Fresh air was exactly what you needed, the feeling of the wind in your hair, the twigs snapping beneath your weight, the solidness of the ground. You couldn’t remember the last time you had felt this alive. That was probably stupid but it was liberating to be out of your house, and on top of it it was nighttime too. You weren’t often able to be out this late because you usually didn’t have someone to go out with. You had almost forgotten how beautiful it was when there was no glass separating you from the moon and the stars. Despite the fact that his legs were far longer than yours James still had to speed walk to keep up with you. His heart swelled seeing you so happy and carefree as you strode unapologetically down the sidewalk. “Stop walking so fast.” He complained, finally matching your stride as he loosely looped his left arm around your waist, pulling you as close to him as possible while still keeping the two of you moving forward. “Not my fault you’re a slowpoke.” You retaliated but nevertheless still resting your head on his broad shoulder. “It’s nice out isn’t it?” He pondered aloud. “It’s wonderful,” You agreed, closing your eyes and turning your face up towards the sky, trusting James to guide you safely down the sidewalk, “I’m sorry you had to ditch your mom and Siri to come be with me.” You apologized as another wave of guilt from earlier hit you. “I didn’t bubba, we’d already finished the movie when I called you.” “Really?” Your head perked up. “Mhm.” James hummed. “Why didn’t you tell me that?’ “Wanted to surprise you.” He explained and your heart soared, he really was indescribably sweet. “Well I was surprised.” “Good.” “What movie did you watch?” Wondering if your suspicions had been correct. “Forrest Gump.” He responded by popping his “p”. You laughed squeezing two of James’ fingers on the hand splayed across your stomach. “What?” “Nothin’, just thought you and Pads would’ve made your mom watch Reservoir Dogs or something.” “Come on, you know me and Padfoot (Y/N), nothin’ but a couple of softies the two of us.” “Yes, yes you are.” You responded completely seriously. “You were supposed to disagree, he whispered into your ear. “I cannot tell a lie.” “Hey!” He exclaimed in mock offense. “Come on I found the two fo you cuddling when I came over Wednesday, he was literally spooning you Jamsie. It was rather cute really.” James let you have the last word and the two of you were silent for a minute as you passed a house with a line of cars in front of it, stupid fucking people and their stupid fucking parties. You thought, thinking they’re more important than the rest of us, that it’s okay to throw a party during the middle of a pandemic. “There’s a pandemic going on people,” James muttered as you crossed in front of the driveway, as though he was reading your thoughts. You just nestled into him more. Once you cleared the super spreader house it was only a few feet before you turned the corner and your desired destination came into view causing a ginormous smile to practically crack your face in half. “Come on Jamie!” You giggled, grabbing his hand and pulling him down the street towards the park, not even looking both ways as you bolted across the street to the park. You’d always thought that parks and playgrounds and such looked a bit creepy after dark and while today was no exception you still didn’t think twice before bounding up the steps of the play structure. Laughing, you turned your face back up towards the sky as you reached down to slip your shoes and socks off, tossing them off the play structure onto the wood chips scattered across the ground. “You look beautiful up there.” You hadn’t noticed James approach you, but he was now standing at the foot of the play structure, looking up at you. “Come up here with me Jamie, please?” You pleaded, tugging on his arm. “How could I deny you anything?” “Simple,” You responded, “You can’t.” Pushing himself up onto the structure he tried to envelop you in his arms but you squirmed away, giggling. As you ran toward the slide at the opposite end of the playground he broke out into a run after you, purposefully keeping his strides short to give you the upper hand. Breaking out into a sprint as soon as your feet touched the ground you raced towards the open field, James hot on your heels. He chased you around the perimeter of the grassy clearing, the two of you yelling at each other and laughing until your lungs hurt when he finally caught you in his arms, trying to get you as close to him as possible. He loved the feeling of your body against his more than he loved life itself. Or even Sirius. “What should I do with you now that I’ve captured you?” He mused tauntingly, tightening his grip on you. “Well I know one thing you could do to me.” You murmured. “(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N), get your mind out of the gutter Miss,” “Make me.” You teased, wiggling in his grasp. “I know what’ll fix your attitude.” James declared, adjusting his so his arms were around your waist instead of one there and one wrapped around your shoulders. “And what’s that?” “A nice February swim!” He roared jovially, hefting you over his shoulder as he bounded towards the fountain located on the east side of the park. “Jamie!” You shrieked as you bounced against him, “Slow down.” “Sorry Princess,” He huffed once you reached the fountain, he carefully lifted you off his shoulder and sat you down on the ledge of the water feature as he kneeled before you, hands pressing against your thighs. “Come on baby, go swimming with me?” “Course.” You smiled as you reached for the hem of your shirt and pulled it over your head, throwing it somewhere over Jamie’s shoulder. You didn’t bother watching where it landed, too enraptured with the gorgeous boy on his knees in front of you. “You look gorgeous (Y/N).” He murmured, taking it the sight of your bare stomach and chest clad in a lacy lavender bra. “I let you see mine, now get your shirt off Potter!” You commanded impatiently, you loved James all the time, but you especially loved James shirtless. “Okay, okay woman, calm down, I'm moving.” He playfully chastised shrugging off his jacket which you just now realised was his varsity jacket, his last name emblazoned across the back of it. When he caught you staring at him he teasingly played with the hem of his shirt, rolling it in the tips of his fingers until you lightly kicked his bent knee. He then discarded his pants, throwing them and his shirt somewhere to his right, carefully laying his jacket on a bench a few feet away he was left only in his boxers and you took this time to appreciate how his skin shown in the moonlight, his darker complexion brilliant in the darkness of the park. “You wanna keep your shorts on? He lilted, moving towards where you sat on the bench encircling the fountain. You nodded in response, not wanting to be so vulnerable in such a public space. “Okay baby sounds good.” James leaned in towards you pressing his lips to yours before he scooped you into his arms before stepping into the fountain, even though it was warm ish outside the water of the fountain hadn’t had enough time to truly heat up because the water that lapped at his midcalf almost had him feeling bad for what he did next. Which was dropping you into the freezing cold water, keeping you upright by his hold on your shoulders before you were able to ground yourself on the floor of the fountain. With water sprouting up from the top and cascading down 4 smaller tiers reminiscent of bird baths, getting larger and larger in radius as they went down, cold water nipped at your skin. “Agh!” You shrieked, “It’s freezing!” “Calm down drama queen!” James snorted, “Little cold water never hurt anybody.” “Speak for yourself!” Screaming as James bent down to splash you with water you tried to run away resulting in you falling backwards onto your bum. “You okay baby?” James asked nervously bending down next to you, surveying your near naked body for any cuts or bruises. Your response came as you looped your arms around his neck and pulled him down, submerging the entirety of his body in the chilly water. He quickly pulled you down with him so that your head was submerged, your hair billowing out around you in the water. When you pulled back up to the surface your wet hair was plastered to your face. And though you were cold, wet, and maybe a little banged up your heart was aflame, this had been exactly what you needed, to run around like a little kid and lose yourself, if only for a little while. Glancing back down your jaw dropped, the light coming from the fountain walls made the shadows of the water reflect on James’ dark skin making him look even more beautiful, like something out of a book. He took your temporary lapse as an opportunity to flip you around so that he was on top of you, he thought you were always stunning but something about you beneath him made you shine like nothing else he’d ever seen. Taking good care to make sure your head didn’t bump against the fountain, and that your head was above water, he trailed kisses from your temple to your jaw. When he reached your chin the second freight train of the night hit him head on and he stuck out his tongue licking from the point of your chin, up your lips, the bridge of your nose, and up your forehead until he reached your hair line where he left one more gentle kiss. “James Potter!” You shrieked, a giggling mess, “What the hell?” He lifted himself off you so he could once again scoop you into his arms, “Come on my little water nymph, let’s get you dry, don’t need you getting sick on me.” “Think you should’ve thought about that before you dunked me into the fountain in nothing but my bra and shorts.” You retaliated to which he only rolled his eyes, before shaking his head like a wet dog. “I swear to God Potter, you’re a Golden Retriever.” “Hmh?” He asked, stepping out of the fountain. “Playful, loyal, energetic, smart.” You explained, planting a kiss on his nose. “Shaking off to dry like a fucking dog.” “You love me.” He grinned, like the thought was just now hitting him, like you hadn’t said it already multiple times that night. “That I do Potter.” You agreed as he set you down on the bench where he had laid his jacket, taking care to slip your arms into it one at a time he pulled it close to your body to keep you warm before coming up behind you, tipping your head back so he could wring the excess water out of it, taking this as an opportunity to kiss the hollow of your throat to which you hummed. Upon slipping on his previously discarded pants and shirt, an endeavor you watched very closely, not wanting to miss a second of how his muscles shifted underneath his smooth, taut skin, he sat down next to you. “It’s a beautiful night.” “That it is.” You agreed. The two of you sat there for a moment before James carefully stood up, “Where are you going Jamie? Too tired now, m’done playing.” “I know angel, come on, not gonna play, just get more comfortable.” He soothed, taking you by the hand and walking you over to a set of fairly new monkey bars. Picking you up from the bottom of your thighs he pushed you up and above his shoulders to sit on top of the monkey bars and you were reminded why it sometimes came in handy to be dating the captain of the football team. Swinging up next to you on the monkey bars he slid his arm around your shoulders, both of your legs meeting the edge of the cold metal at the bend of your knees, your bodies there down hanging off leaving the both of you on your backs staring up at the unusually starry night sky. “There’s Orion.” You lifted your arm to point out the constellation, “ Surprised we can see so many.” You marvelled. “It is rather pretty.” “‘Rather pretty’?” You gasped exasperated with the boy next to you, “It’s not just ‘rather pretty’, it's gorgeous!” You corrected with a huff, turning your visage back up towards the heavens. “Eh,” He shrugged, “I’ve seen better.” “I swear to God, James Fleamont Potter if you say ‘You’re prettier than any constellation’ I’m going to push you off these monkey bars.” A chuckle pushed its way past his lips as he brushed his lips along the part of your hair, “You know me too well don’t you (L/N).” “Yeah, I’ve got your number Mister.” James pulled out his phone to check the time, “Hey baby, it’s midnight.” He whispered in your ear, turning his phone screen so you could read the time. “Happy Saturday my darling boy.” “Happy Saturday Princess, let’s get you home.”
Note: I know in my initial ask on @/randomoutsiders you guys went home and more fluff ensued. Maybe a part two?

I've been too shy to come off of anon (I may or may not have been the one that sent that monster of an ask that was kinda gushing about 'Lovers in D Minor', 'Desolate' and 'Slippery When Wet' ^^;;) but I thought that now would be the time to formerly congratulate you on your milestone!! Your writing is very beautiful so you deserve it and many more! If you don't mind, can I request a drabble of Gojo x reader with the prompt, “You know we’re not actually dating, so why did you propose to me in front of my family?” “I’m sorry, I panicked.”
HELLO MY FRIEND! Your long ask made my day that day!!! It was so sweet and I thank you so much for your kind words! I hope you enjoy your drabble!
TW: cursing
“Stop laughing at me!”
Gojo Satoru of course, does not listen. Instead, he laughs all the harder, his broad shoulders shaking with mirth. You wish with all your might he didn’t have that damn Infinity. You want to smack him upside the head and then some.
“I said stop! It’s not even that funny,” you glare at him, crossing your arms. You’re grateful Gojo insisted you take one of the fancier town cars to dinner tonight; Ijichi has the divider up and is thankfully not privy to your embarrassment.
“It most certainly is that funny,” Gojo grins at you, his lanky body still trembling. “You do know we’re not actually dating, right?”
“Oh, I am very much aware- and very thankful.”
“Okay, ouch. So why did you propose to me in front of my entire family, then?”
“I panicked, alright?” You huff, closing your eyes as you lean your head back against the seat of the car. “They were not buying our story at all. We were two seconds away from having our cover completely blown. I went with the first idea that popped into my head.”
“Well, it certainly made for the most entertaining family dinner I’ve had in ages,” Gojo snickers. “I wish I had the thought to take a picture of the look on Mother’s face when you got down on one knee. Priceless.”
“Ugh, but what do we do now?” You open your eyes and turn to look at him. “Your whole family thinks we’re engaged. You didn’t have to say yes, idiot.”
Gojo snorts. “And ruin your completely hilarious improvised plan? No way, sugarplum. Your proposal was something I’ll always remember. I’m not sure I’ll ever hear such nice things from you again.”
He bats his eyelashes and puts on an overly lovesick smile. “Satoru, you are the only one for me.” He raises his voice an octave, in a poor imitation of you. “You are my heart, my soul, my everything. Even when things go wrong, I know I have your love to keep me going. I want to be by your side forever. Will you marry me?”
“I regret ever agreeing to this charade,” you groan, your cheeks heating as you slink down further into your seat. “I’m way too good of a friend for the likes of you.”
“Probably,” Gojo shrugs. He reaches out and pats your arm. “But thanks, you’ve saved me for the time being from Mother’s tirades about marriage and babies and my duties to the clan.”
You sigh, and gently pat his hand back. Even someone like Gojo didn’t deserve the pressures of what his family put on him, “You’re welcome, I guess. I’m just glad nobody else saw that. I’d never hear the end of it.”
Gojo’s grin turns mischievous, and a bad feeling pools in the pit of your stomach. You squint suspiciously at him. “Gojo Satoru, what did you do?”
The white haired man looks entirely too pleased with himself. “I may or may not have recorded the whole thing, once I realized what you were doing....”
You sit fully up in your seat, your eyes blazing as you lean menacingly towards the asshole you’ve been calling your friend. “Gojo Satoru, what did you do?”
“I....may or may not have sent the entire thing to our sorcerer group chat. And my students. And posted it to every social media I have.”
“GOJO SATORU I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!”
