Yeah! My Critical Role self-insert regresses (and so does Jester)! My League of Villains self-insert..... maybe regresses? I feel like they do, but they don't have words for it. My self-insert with Toshinori is a regressor as well <3 I feel like there are a lot of selfships where I could see my self-insert regressing, or my f/o regressing, but those three are the only ones where it's like "canon" to the dynamic.

❤️‍🩹 — do you have any special comfort items?

I collect comfort items like there's no tomorrow. I tend to switch between stuffed animals every few months, but I have three main ones (a bunny, a possom, and a weighted baby doll). Also, my poncho coat is definitely a comfort item. That's the main ones for now!

🌿 — do any of your f/os or s/is have an agere/caregiver blog?

Hmmm! I don't think Tate or Tomura would have an agere blog: I don't think they would connect to the current agere community, nor do I think my self-insert would have one in those universes.

My Silvertongue BNHA s/i might have a caregiver blog (they're a flip but I think they'd be more interested in being a cg online), and I think they would talk about that with Toshinori.

My DC/Sandman s/i would probably have both, their internet presence is very much the same as mine.

Me and Toga would share a blog that might have regression content on it, but it would focus more on the aesthetic stuff than the actual agere stuff.

Oof, it's been a while since I was in the main community, but here's a hot take, as requested.

The difference between age regression and age play is not whether it's sexual. The difference is whether there's an element of control and humiliation. If you like feeling like your caregiver is completely in control and you like the idea of punishment (even non-physical), you might want to look into nonsexual age play instead of the age regression community. Also, if having fantasies about someone helping you to regress in public makes you feel humiliated and small at the same time, that's another sign you might be on the kink side of things, at least some of the time.

You can, of course, enjoy both: but I occasionally see posts about punishment and humiliation in the age regression community that really make me feel like it's been mis-tagged.

At the same time, only you can really know what the centre of your regression experience is, and I know some people genuinely feel safer if someone else is making the decisions, but it's not in the same way that they're submitting to a dominant. It's a complicated kinda situation, I won't deny it, but sometimes I see people in the agere community that I just feel are only in the agere community because they don't realize kink can be nonsexual.

You can write self insert fic in first person if you want to! Some people say not to use it, but that's really just an opinion. Self insert fics are supposed to be about what you like most and what feels right to *you*, not anyone else! So you can use first person if you like first person! Third person always works too! I just suggest trying out different options and finding what's most comfortable for you! Good luck! :)

Thank you! Amusingly enough in the time that I posted that I started boarding the story I wanted to write into a comic instead of a written format and I think I might like that a lot? I’ve never made comics before idk, I’ll experiment with writing formats and such and see what vibes! I never quite understood the hatred for first person, some of the best books I’ve ever read are in first person, I think it’s lovely if done correctly

Oh, it would be HARD to embarrass Jester with a gag gift, but I love making her laugh! I think that "sexy" candy would be a go-to gag gift, like little penis candies or those terrible candy bras that don't actually fit anyone (not to wear, just to munch on the road)

🔎 Your F/O has been replaced by a doppelganger or double of some sort. What tips you off that something's wrong?

It would be hard to imagine not noticing right away: I'm very in tune with Jester, and if she was quieter than usual I would immediately be quietly checking in with her, making sure she's okay. I think I would be worried first, pushing to find out what's wrong, and then I would get suspicious when she didn't respond to any of our inside jokes.

👨‍👦You're meeting your F/Os parents. How's it go?

Oh boy, that's a mixed story! I met Marion with the rest of the Mighty Nein before Jester and I got together, and was starstruck with the rest of the group. Visiting a place that felt so much like home was really emotional for me and I really liked Marion. I was significantly more nervous when we came back, since I was with Jester at the time, but Marion was lovely and very supportive and just... I love her a lot.

As for Jester's father, we've met as well.... again, I was with the Mighty Nein when we met, and I didn't make an effort to stand out. I'm not sure that I ever actually interacted with him as anything other than an employee.

🍼 You and your F/O have to babysit together. how's it go?

We're great at babysitting! Kids love us! We probably buy them too many sweets and tell them too many bawdy jokes, but that's neither here nor there. What matters is that everyone has fun!

In a way, every romance is a Cinderella story. Traditionally, that means that falling in love takes us from rags to riches. That isn't necessarily true for me and Jester!

Both of us grew up in comfortably wealthy households, close with our mothers. Our connection to our mothers was a double-edged sword: we both love our mothers, but their trauma definitely defined our childhoods in different ways.

When Jester and I went into the world, it was riches to rags in many ways: for the first time making our own way, doing our best. Meeting the Mighty Nein was a source of stability and pooled resources. And honestly, we've very much stayed that source of stability! After so many adventures, we're not exactly hard off, and both of us have sent treats and gifts home to our families.

Honestly, my story with Jester doesn't have much in common with Cinderella?? But I hope this little ramble brought joy!
