The next time I bake a cake, I think I'm going to use AP flour. I used cake flour this time and it was kinda sandy... I think this could be for three (3️⃣) reasons:

Overbaked (the light is out in my oven, so it was hard to judge doneness--should've done a toothpick test more than once!)

overmixed (i drizzled in the liquid ingredients with an electric mixer)

the "reverse creaming" method is just not that great (i had never heard of it until this recipe)

bonus! cake flour just does that! (i first used cake flour in a tres leches cake; the sogginess would disguise the crumb)

members of the colony werent always naked and bare in their prides regard. most of them used to wear reminders of their housekeepers and people, like the common housecat. it was normal to wear these reminders, like a tag, so others knew where you belonged.

not everyone agreed with these reminders, however. cats like jax and zooble felt annoyed by these restraints. jax wore none at all, as even the thought of being confined to such a small place made him seeth with rage. he loved his people, sure, but the idea of a grounding tag like this was too much. zooble on the other hand, tolerated such restraining reminders in the guise of their people, tossing it away when they werent. they knew they were smart. their housekeepers were the type to allow their presence to be outside the boundaries of their home. zooble knew they were lucky for this opportunity, and used it sparingly.

other cats on the other hand held onto their reminders longer than the average cat. cats like kaufmo and queenie felt that without such a reminder, the memory of their people would fade away into nothing. and how could such a cat let this happen? without housekeepers like theirs, theyd truly be nothing but more feed for speeding cars upon the darkpaths. theyd been given food, a home, and love. to throw away such a reminder was like throwing away a piece of themself.

of course, when it due time, queenie was the only one who couldnt seem to bare the burden of finally letting go. kaufmo eventually finally gave in, but he vowed to never let his memories of his people fade away. his vow and queenie's denial however, was not enough to save them from the dangers that demanded change, and dangers that soon lie ahead.

Soooo, I caved in and decided to draw one of my current hyperfixations in my style and how I'd see them, or well, my takes.

First off we have our contestant, Karley, a 21 years old woman who used to be a big fan of Frankie before everything went downhill during the contest.

i have no further info but If I do I will surely post about them. 😊

And then we have the Frankies!! For me, each Frankie has a different name.

Cartoon Frankie's name is Francis "Real" Frankie remains Frankie And lastly Monster Frankie's name is Frank :D

Could ask about some headcanons on Rosoie and Alastor's beginnings in friendship?

Rosie and Alastor becoming friends HCS!

They knew each other sense around 1934, but didn't really acknowledge each othwrs presence until 1950

They met at an overlord meeting

They actually hated each other in the beginning. Tried to one up each other for a solid decade until they were sent on an overlord heist together and bonded

FINALLY became friends in 1959, a good 25 years after they met.

They immediately hit it off once they bonded. Gossip girlys. The heist they were sent on was actually a failed mission because they kept getting too damn distracted

Once they became friends there was no looking back. They were the overlord power duo. Carmilla, the one who had sent then on that heist together, regrets every decision she has ever made.

When they became friends Rosie was married to a man named Henry, who was an absolute Susan-ish BITCH, so alastor helped her get rid of her

Murder besties from day one. These two are unstoppable if you put them into a room together with some weapons

Rosie got married again in 1964 (alastor called her a crazy bitch. (He was right too this guy was a jackass))

When the Disney movie "Pinocchio" made its way into hell with the sinners, they watched it together. Were absolutely terrified. They have seen the horrors that come with cannibalism and murder, but nothing could have prepared them for THAT.

They got legally married in 1971. It was a good way to fend off unwanted sutors from rosie

Once the new/proper LGBTQ terms finally started making their way into hell Rosie was HOOKED. She tried to educate alastor (he didn't listen. At all.)

They actually lived together in the apartment above Rosies Emporium for a while. A good twenty years before Alastor disappeared and then showed up at the hotel. Rosie never got rid of any of his things once he left. He still have a spare radio recording room in her hall closet.
