Thirst Trap on AO3
Chapter 19: Sacrosanct
"John looks in your direction then, eyes hot and mouth gaping. You’d seen this expression on Potato before. It wasn’t that he had something to say and couldn’t get it out. He was acting like a cat trying to sniff the air. The blood. He was smelling all the blood. John shakes himself free from some invisible force, focusing on his daughter."
A long, long time ago I started writing a fic, and it's almost finished.
If you're still on this crazy train, here's the latest bit of updated flotsam and jetsam from Total Drama (Crockett) Island.
Things have gone from bad to worse, and let me just take a moment to provide a friendly PSA - always know where your first aid kits are, my lovelies. If your local sheriff has a thing for hacking off Angels, it could save his life.

In other news, it may not be smart to tempt fate - but my goodness, fate looks pretty good standing a whole foot taller than you in the moonlight. Besides, our OC never claimed to be "smart." Smart girls don't hook up with the local parish priest, and they certainly don't make deals with bloodsucking monsters either. Well...most smart girls don't, anyway.

Andrew Scott, Vogue: April 2024.
by Zing Tsjeng, Photos by Annie Leibovitz
Ripley, in other words, is the hero of the tale. “That’s why he fascinates so many,” says Scott. “There’s been so many iterations of him. I think it’s because people root for him.” Actors like Alain Delon and Dennis Hopper have tried the role; Matt Damon played him as an obsequious, lower-class naïf; John Malkovich, as a slimy, camp killer. Scott’s Ripley is different; a watchful loner escaping rodent-infested poverty, more at home among art than he is around people. Musician and actor Johnny Flynn plays his first victim—the monied Dickie Greenleaf—and Dakota Fanning is Dickie’s suspicious ex-girlfriend. “I find Tom quite vulnerable,” Scott tells me. “I don’t think he’s necessarily lonely, but I certainly think he’s solitary…. He seems to me by his nature that he just can’t fit in. He’s trying to survive.”
In Ripley, Zaillian extracts maximum Hitchcockian dread from every creaky footstep. But most sinister of all is Scott’s face, which exhibits a sharklike steeliness throughout. It’s a performance that exudes queasy force. Is Ripley a scammer, a psychopath, or both? “There’s so many things lurking beneath him that I’ve been very reluctant to diagnose him with anything. I never thought of him as a sociopath or murderous,” Scott declares. “It’s up to everybody else to characterize him or call him whatever they want.”
As we weave through tourists near the Tower of London, barely anybody notices Scott, save for a faint glimmer of recognition among mainly young women. He seems to draw reassurance from it. “I don’t like to think about it too much, if I’m honest,” he muses of fame. “I find it a little bit, er, frightening.” He is known but not blockbuster-recognizable, although he is in the upcoming Back in Action with Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx. What stunts did he do? “I can’t give that away, I’m afraid, or somebody from Netflix will come and shoot me in the head.”
What’s been on Scott’s mind the most hasn’t been acting at all, in fact, but art. As a 17-year-old, he was offered his first movie role on the same day he was given a scholarship to study painting. He chose acting, but has recently been thinking about Oliver Burkeman’s philosophical self-help tract from 2021, Four Thousand Weeks, which makes the case for focusing on the five things you truly want to accomplish. “For me at the moment, it’s like, What do you want to do? What do you want to say?”
He scrolls through his phone to show me his work. There’s a watercolor of a couple arguing in a restaurant in rich reds and greens, line drawings of friends and people on the beach, and two self-portraits. “It’s a bit weird,” he acknowledges of his depiction of himself, all bulbous forehead and Pan-like tufts of hair. His brisk, nervy lines are reminiscent of Egon Schiele or Francis Bacon, who turns out to be one of his favorite painters. “Well, God, I’ll take that,” he mutters at the comparison. He would like someday to go to art school. “I don’t ever regret it,” he says of acting. “But I suppose you just get to a stage where you think, What else? That’s one of the big painful things in life for me, where you can’t quite live all the lives.” As he gets older, he feels the tug toward revisiting old working relationships, including with Waller-Bridge: “We’ve definitely got things cooking,” he smiles. “I’d love to work with her again. She’s just a singular, wonderful person.” For her part, Waller-Bridge says: “I’d love to see him do a fully unhinged slapstick comedy character. Someone who is outraged at everything, all of the time.”
As we round the pavement and the Tate Modern looms back into sight, he recalls a poster he received in 2017—a monstrously large graphic that detailed every week in a human life span. “It’s your entire life if you live to 80—you have to fill in all the bits that you’ve already lived,” he remembers in awe, “a visually terrifying gift.” What did he do with it? “I didn’t hold on to it for too long.” Easy come, easy go: We finally finish our loop around the Thames and, as Scott disappears back into the throng, anonymous just the way he likes it, it occurs to me that the actor has many lives to live yet. ■

I was listening to "mother knows best" and HOLY SHIT it's perfect for Overprotective Dimitri trying to keep Right at the Wall. Now I want a Tangled Inspired version of the AU with Henry as Flynn (Rightmin) and Reginald as a sort of replacement father figure once Dimitri is out of the picture. Maybe throw Ellie in there as Pascal as Right's only friend at the Wall. Until Henry comes along that is. (Then Ellie is his wing man because these boys are hopeless romantics)
Right was told that the Wall was the safest place for him, that his ability to heal wounds and his long red hair made him an outcast. And for the longest time, Right believed everything his father, Dmitri, told him about the outside world. After all, the Wall was the only place he knew.
But as Right grew older, his interest of the outside world grew, especially stories his only friend, Ellie, told him. While Ellie was a prisoner, she snuck out of her cell often to talk with Right, getting to know the Warden's son more and telling him of her adventures stealing cars and setting fires to corrupt Government establishments.
Right wasn't so keen on the arson parts, but was always fascinated with how vast the world was.
But Right was a prisoner in his own room, only a window that was next to the rocky cliffs as his only source of outside light. Even if Right wanted to leave, he had no way to.
Untill one day, a silver hair man fell from the vent, changing all their lives forever.
---
The man's name was Henry Stickmin, a thief that was here on an undercover mission to rescue his fellow Toppats that were trapped in the Wall. The mission was successful, but Henry had to choose a different escape plan, one that came with a weight limit.
Henry looked around the room abit before seeing the window and then seeing Right's long hair and a metal support beam.
Henry started braiding Right's long hair while explaining that they can use the hair as a rope, looping it around the support beam and shimming down the window to safety.
Right felt a hope burning in his soul, a chance for escape, to see the world. So Right agreed, gathering a few supplies that could help before Henry was ready to go.
Going down the side of the Wall was quicker then what Right imagined, with Henry being able to retrieve Right's hair and bundle it to a more manageable, tighter braid.
Henry and Right had to run through the docks, dealing with Wall guards trying to capture them.
Unlucky for the Wall guards, Ellie came to the rescue with a stop sign, grabbing the two men and throwing them into the nearby SS Annie.
---
The ship was empty of its crew mates and Ellie had started work on hot wiring the boat. Things were looking up for the trio.
And then a gunshot shot nearby, with Warden Dmitri now on the boat, very pissed off.
Right told his father that he was leaving, that he wanted to see the world and get to know his friends more. Dmitri laughed and threw a hat and blanket at Right, telling his son that the only reason Henry wanted to save him was because of his magic and link to the Toppats.
Henry spoke up, saying that he had no idea on either of those things and literally only found Right because the vent gave out. Henry didn't even know Right's name untill he asked him.
Dmitri tried speak up, but Right told him to stop, that it was clear that Dmitri had been lying about alot of things in Right's life and now he wanted to leave more then ever.
Dmitri aimed his gun at Henry, and in one pull of the trigger, a loud bang was heard.
But Henry wasn't the one shot.
Dmitri dropped his gun as his shirt slowly drenched with crimson. Dmitri collapsed, revealing one Reginald Copperbottom to be the culprit.
Reginald felt tears prick his eyes as he got closer to Right, revealing a locket with a picture of a younger Reginald holding a small baby with almost glowing red hair, just like Right.
Reginald hugged Right, sobbing that he had been looking for him ever since he was kidnapped as a baby, that he was so grateful to of finally found his precious son back.
Henry dumped Dmitri's body as the four of them went outside to see the parked Airship on the water. Apparently the Toppats that Henry rescued were worried about Henry so Reginald decided to bring the Airship as backup.
---
The next few months were hectic, but in a good way. Right got to cut his hair, severally limiting his magic but getting to cut away at his old life. He and Reginald caught up, with Right finding his real dad amazing. And Right was shown many places and treasures of the world, and knowing that there was far more out there and all the time in the world.
Henry and Right found themselves being fast friends, and within a few months the two of them started to have feelings for each other.
But neither one had been in a relationship before and were clueless on how to even ask the other out. Thankfully, Ellie came to the rescue, and after a bit of shenanigans, Henry and Right started dating.
And the Wall never found Dmitri, but found bits of dust in the ocean. From what Grigori gathered, Dmitri was far older then he looked and was using Right's magical hair to keep himself young. Since Dmitri hadn't used the magic in awhile, even if the Toppats didn't get involved, he would of turned to dust.

tilly flynn, the only child of two artists, was born creative. growing up to become a prop master for theaters around the east coast, it would only make sense that those she gravitated toward were those who liked to create and make something out of nothing. never the type to settle down, she became pregnant after a few days with someone she’s only been on a few dates with, and dropped contact. nine months later, adam was born, to her absolute delight. tilly was a great mom, her and her boy against the world.
adam knew his parental situation - the pg version, at least, being told his mom went through a sperm bank - and didn’t figure out the truth until he was 8 years old, when a siren tried to lure him out into the ocean. not long after that, he was faced with the glowing hephaestus symbol above his head, with a visit from the god himself, instructing them to bring adam to camp.
adam thrived at camp - he liked building weaponry and he was always an athletic kid. he spent his summers at camp, not wanting to completely abandon his friends and schooling, though he would visit on the weekends, or when his mom needed to be in the new york theater scene. he wasn’t the best student, the half-blood double whammy of adhd and dyslexia affecting him greatly, but he played football and volunteered for the theater department, helping with props and set pieces.
he was always a little bit lonely though? adam always had a hard time making “permanent” friends, the older he got. he wanted to play football and be in school with the other more “normal” kids, but he’d always get so sad leaving camp behind after the summer was over. he always felt he was caught somewhere in between, and sort of just floated between identities for a bit until graduation.
after he graduated high school, he thought his best bet was to continue all through fates university. he always wanted to be a half-blood that saved the day on a big quest, but he was never chosen on anything and he didn’t think he was ready to give up the safety and protection university would bring.
AESTHETIC
sawdust in the air, the whirring of a power drill, oil slicked hands, smell of rubber tires, popping popcorn, clicking of game controllers, the smell of peppers cooking on a grill, pencil smudges and eraser shavings, clanking of a hammer on metal, the whoosh of a blowtorch, a flickering copper lightbulb, fresh oatmeal in the morning, denim on bare legs, campfire smoke against the night sky, splashing to loud music in the summer rain, grease fingerprints, coffee brewed at 4am
TRIVIA
drives a 90s maroon jeep with christmas lights on the inside, massage chairs as seats, and surround sound speakers
played football most of his life
takes medication for anxiety
really bad at spelling, super dyslexic
has a three legged cat named tripod
favorite food is peanut butter, loves anything peanut butter
his mom collects typewriters, so his apartment has some of the stragglers around the place to feel more at home
folk music is his favorite kind of music
dream job would be opening up his own mechanics shop, or making wood furniture
collects vintage video games and video game systems, repairs them in the months when it’s too cold to be working in open air garages
always runs really warm, he’s like a human heater
loves sci-fi movies
HUGE health nut, he calls himself a borderline vegetarian - his mom’s a vegetarian, so he doesn’t not eat meat, he just generally gravitates away from it
in the same vein, he’s at the gym probably 6/7 days of the week, the arena too
likes that he’s an even six foot, he uses himself as a unit of measurement
helps build sets for the theater productions

Timeless Finale Movie
Aka 2 x 11 & 12 “The Miracle of Christmas Parts 1 & 2”
Well, this was one of the stupidest things I have ever seen on TV. Not that I expected anything good, but this superseded my worst expectations.
Why on earth would Flynn even set-off on his mission against Rittenhouse if he knew he wouldn’t get his family back? Getting his family back was his first and most important motivation, before even taking revenge against Rittenhouse and definitely before ‘saving history’. The fuck.
I’m not even going into how much I hate the whole redemption-through-death, especially since a) Flynn wasn’t a villain, at least certainly no bigger than Wyatt, and b) dying after so much suffering is a terrible message.
All I wanted for Flynn was to live and be happy, whether with Lucy or his family or, heck, riding alone into the sunset to find it on his own. But no.
And to add insult to injury they wrote all that hypocritical toasting to Flynn and talking about owing him and how he would have been proud of them. Please. Like anyone other than Lucy spend a second being semi-nice to him while he lived. Ugh.
And everything boiled down to Jessica being alive? And then she turned out to be Rittenhouse in the original timeline as well? And Flynn was always the one who killed her (to save Rufus)? How did they even come up with this BS? How did they even think these were good ideas?
Uh, I eyerolled so much it’s a Christmas miracle I still have eyes.
But of course, that happens when you don’t know how else to get two characters together than killing their other potential love interests. Sloppy writing at its worst.
Which turned the whole 2 episodes into a cheesy – no, not even cheesy – I’d say romcom, but it wasn’t funny, about Lucy and Wyatt getting together that was incredibly forced, rushed and contrived.
For a ‘feminist’ show they sure showed it nicely by killing two women and emaciating the main protagonist.
Jessica deserved better.
Even Emma did. For such a formidable villain, her death was totally anticlimactic. I get that Annie was pregnant and couldn’t do heavy action scenes, but at least Emma should’ve been killed by one of the team. But a random North Korean did it so no one had to get their hands dirty/dirtier.
And then they want to make me believe that of all Lucy’s shitty Rittenhouse relatives, Benjamin Cahill actually gave a damn about her dying? (Well, I doubt Denise gave him a choice whether to cooperate or not, but still.)
Also, I’m not sure about the timeline, how did they get from starting right after 2x10 ended to Christmas? It couldn’t be more than a few days in between? Oh, well, who cares.
And Jiya’s visions/health issues just disappeared? (Although Rufus and Jiya were the only remotely likeable thing of all this mess.)
Anyway, I could probably find more things to rant about but it’s not worth any more of my time and energy.
This is Revolution comics all over again (and Kripke was doing so well! Way to undo everything they did right in S2 in two episodes!) down to Flynn dying in a ditch and Lucy getting a substitute Amy among other things. And like that it too shall go into oblivion, sooner rather than later.
Oh, yeah, and even if a miracle truly happens and they bring the show back for S3, I’m not touching it with a ten feet pole.

Rosie Hits the Air Waves (Chapter 2)
August 1943, Brooklyn New York
Rosie Hits the Air Waves
Chapter 2
“Woah, watch out young lady!”
Isabella Lipiński felt herself being jerked back as a cabbie sped past her. She had been so concentrated on finding the address for W35 Studios that she hadn’t been aware of the traffic that was swirling past her.
“Thank you,” Isabella said smiling sheepishly at the white-haired man who had saved her.
He waved her off without another word working his way into the crowd and muttering about “Young people these days.”
More cautiously now she hurried across the street and past the plastered signs for “Northern Pursuit” starring Errol Flynn. She pushed open the heavy door and walked towards the reception desk.
“Where to madam?” a serious faced doorman in red asked.
“Studio C,” Isabella answered breathlessly.
“To your right,” he gestured. “Floor 15. Next.”
Isabella nodded her thanks but it was clear that there was no time for smiling on his schedule. In complete contrast to his colleague, the elevator attendant was very cheery as he greeted her.
“Singer?” he asked while waiting for others walking towards the lift.
“Yes, how did you know?”
He indicated one man carrying a large cello and grinned.
“Oh of course,” Isabella said smiling grateful for a kind face.
The elevator filled in quickly with not only the cellist, but three violins and a trumpet. Isabella was quickly pressed against the back wall. She worried about making it to the front as none of the other musicians got off before her floor but the kind faced attendant called out, “Gentlemen, please make room for the singer!”
They all good naturedly shuffled about until she could just make it out the door. “Thank you Mr…?”
“You can call be Joe,” the attendant said with a wink. “Good luck!”
Isabella gave him a good-natured salute and then made her way down the corridor. She could feel her excitement growing as she passed posters and framed photographs of Danny Thomas and Perry Como who had at some time been featured guests in this same studio.
The red “On Air” light was illuminated on Studio C so Isabella sat down in the seats provided. Checking her watch, she sighed in relief. 6:40 AM. She had been requested to arrive by 7:30 but had been too excited to sleep past 4 in the morning and had been pacing the floor until her father exasperatedly urged her to “not be late” in an attempt to get some peace.
She nervously flipped through the magazines piled on the small table. She saw pictures of the glamour actresses Anne Baxter and Betty Grable and she read the gossip section that linked Olivia de Havilland seen out with a certain Mr. Errol Flynn.
About a half hour later the door opened and two men came out, one presumably for a smoke.
“Well look at this, we have Rosie the Riveter here today!” the first, a skinny blonde man said indicating Isabella. She blushed. It felt odd to be wearing her overhauls in public, though ironed and a fresh coat of lipstick applied.
“Excuse Junior here, he has no manners,” the second man with dark hair said. “Are you the singer for the factory ads?”
“That’s me. The name’s Isabella,” she said reaching out her hand.
“Ted,” he replied and nodding to his left, “Leo.”
“To be precise, Leonardo Hamilton the third,” the man said taking Isabella’s hand with an exaggerated kiss.
Ted sighed. “Ever the charmer.”
“I can see that.”
Leo shrugged and indicated his feet. “I’m flat footed so they wouldn’t take me in the army, so I’ve decided to make the most of being left behind. I do okay for myself.”
The devilish grin that followed made Isabella laughed. He seemed to be just the kind of trouble maker her friend Annie would swoon over. “I believe you.”
“We’re just finishing up here and then we’ll call you in. Have you had a chance to read the script?”
“No, I was told I’d see it today.”
“One moment.”
Ted began to make his way back to the studio and Isabella noticed how his left leg dragged behind. When he was out of hearing range Leo whispered, “Poor Ted did enlist and lost his leg from the knee down.”
Isabella felt admiration build for his sacrifice but before she had a chance to reply a woman exited the room.
Isabella could nearly feel her jaw drop as she recognized Brenda Powers. Her red mane of falling curls and voluptuous curves had been opening doors beyond radio for the star. Isabella found herself completely star-struck.
Brenda glanced her way indifferently. “Another one,” she sighed.
“Yeah, a singer who arrives on time. Imagine that.”
The shivering stare she gave Leo made Isabella feel insignificant. “Some of us have places to go and people to see,” she said pointedly at him before heading down the hall.
Isabella stared after her.
“You get used to seeing the big stars once you’ve been here long enough,” Leo said.
“Oh, I’m just here for one promo.”
“That’s what they say now but I have a good feeling about you.”
Ted gestured for Isabella to follow and she did. He showed her the small booth with sound proofed walls.
“How’s that?” he asked after adjusting the microphone down for her.
Isabella nodded. “That’ll work fine.”
“Alright then, let’s try some levels,” as he shuffled into the engineering booth Isabella let out her breath.
“Here we go!”

💬💬
First up: Chapter 4 of MAWAMS.  I like this moment because it’s Garcia telling Lucy that he’s not going anywhere, and that she doesn’t need to push herself to something they’re both not ready for in fear that she’ll lose him.  It’s delicately acknowledging this pull between them, and the feelings they have, but without that actual direct “I love you” that kind of puts them on the hook to act.  I also liked how Lucy’s comforted that it’s like nothing has changed, that there’s not the big dramatic Hollywood Before and After in their relationship, and there doesn’t need to be.  Everything is one more step on a continuum, not crossing a Rubicon.*********She shouldn’t say something, because as bad as moment as it had been to push him when she sat there with her mom’s body cooling behind her, this didn’t feel much better given he’d lost his wife, for good, even if he’d already let a future with her go long ago. But she couldn’t not say something, because it felt dishonest. “You weren’t wrong. We only lose if we give up hope.” Her fingers tightened in his shirt. “Because there are other people we love that we can still save, you know.” Rufus, yes: that mission, that goal, was a given. But...she’d do better at trying to save Flynn--Garcia. To give and not just take. She willed him to understand what else she was saying, because they seemed good at making sense of things not spoken aloud. Was it cowardly to not simply say it? Not reach up and pull him down enough to kiss him and make it absolutely clear what she meant? But look at what happened the last time she rushed to kiss a man, afraid to lose the moment and lose him.He paused for what felt like an eternity, and she almost hurried to explain she meant Rufus, of course. She heard a faint hum that might have been amusement, felt the vibration of it in his chest. “There’s no hurry. Neither of us is...exactly in a good place right now, huh?” His right arm, down near her waist, pressed against her a little tighter. “Besides, you’re worth the wait.”That strange feeling she got around him, all light and air, welled up inside of her again. Maybe--maybe it was the release of some kind of burden she hadn’t even realized. No expectations, no pressure, no part to perform, no demands to please, only that same quiet, gentle support he’d been giving her for months now. Oddly delicately put, but exactly what both of them probably needed. She’d had men and women say I love you to her. But...You’re worth the wait. Had anyone ever said anything like that to her? No, but...there had been Amy. Amy, who'd teased her, fought with her, annoyed her, cried with her, who called her out when she needed it. Amy, the only one who'd ever loved Lucy without question or condition. But he wasn't asking, wasn't demanding. It was like almost nothing had changed between them, and that felt strangely comforting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Let’s see: since my Timeless canon is still a bit new and I’ll save some moments in case other folks ask, here’s one from chapter 6 in my last Hunger Games ridiculous Goddamn epic fic, Cause We Belong To the Hurricane.I apparently have a thing for couples who can be brutally honest with each other and where both have massive feels about not deserving love, so--here’s Haymitch Abernathy and Johanna Mason early on talking about the rebellion now that Katniss has been killed in the arena.  Johanna has been put forward as the new figurehead since she’s the only other one who’s pretty openly defied President Snow on TV for the entire nation to see.  I have to note I really love writing Johanna because she’s brash, aggressive, angry, pushes buttons, takes no prisoners, and makes no apologies for it--which is usually spun as a “villainous bitch” in a woman, whereas a man would get the “lovable asshole” spin.  So writing her as a protagonist has been really, really rewarding.**********“Your friend. And what’s that really mean? So you and Finnick had a couple years where you did each other some good, but he doesn’t really need you now. He’s got plenty of people to look after him that have much better claim than you ever did—every time he may have confided in you, he probably confided ten times more often to Mags, or Carrick, or even old Shad. And just how many things do you think he told Annie Cresta in bed, or in the kitchen while they were making dinner together, and how many good days did they have where they actually forgot the Games? Chaff’s got three kids, almost grown now, and he’s been widowed and remarried—I’ve never even met any of them—and Chantilly’s got Niello and the twins. Sure, the Capitol likes to pretend we’re all one big happy family, and being a victor is something nobody who’s never set foot in an arena can understand, but it only goes so far. The others, either they’ve got other victors from home that know them better and are around the entire year, or they’ve done the best they can to get beyond the arena, married and moved on. Those people are all we’ve got left, you and me, so we’d like to think as we’re important to them as they are to us. But we’re just,” his forefinger and thumb held up to indicate a small margin less than the width of a finger, “one tiny corner of their lives—we’re one little piece of the few weeks a year that they’re forced to endure, want to get over with, and then go home to spend their time with those who can help them forget. That ain’t much foundation for claiming a deep and significant friendship on their parts.”If he had been anyone else she would have wanted to tear him apart for wielding a sharp truth with such painful precision. But merciless as he was, she couldn’t say he was wrong—because he’d lived that life too, and she’d probably always known deep down that while Finnick might matter to her, too many others held stronger claim on him for it to be equal. “Then maybe it’s all we deserve from them,” she told him calmly as she could, daring him to deny it.“Maybe it is,” he smiled at her with a wry twist of his lips, eyes bright and fierce, “and every family needs its fuckups that they keep around simply because they’re good enough folk to be kind—twenty-odd years of that, so I ought to know. The war ends tomorrow, you and I still have nothing. But this here, this is your chance.”

Fandom Meme: Hit Me Up
I got tagged by lovely @lullapiee
1.  Your current OTP(s)/OT3(s)/OTX(s)
Whoufflé (in all its forms), William x Julia, Flynn x Rapunzel, Rae/Finn/Poe (which is very random ‘cause I haven’t ever even seen SW) and Naomi/Elena/Gabe
2.  A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind (bonus points: who was that person).
Can’t remember any pairing atm. // edit: Sportacus x Robbie, thanks to @jossujb.
3. A pairing you used to love, but it all fell apart for you.
Klaine but then Glee ruined everything
4.  Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what.
Nope, people aren’t really interested about my stuff, maybe ‘cause I’m so weird?
5.  What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom
When did they start publishing Dragon Ball in Finland? Wait no! Now I’m lying. Anastasia (Fox Animation Studios version) is the fandom that I’ve been longest. So about twenty years.
6.  Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it.
Not sure... Maybe Candy and Annie from Candy Candy (anime only, haven’t ever read the manga and tbh, I will never ever read it - oh, and I never watched its ending, I quit soon after Candy and Terry [liked them too - and Candy/Anthony, when he died, it broke my little heart] were separated from each others, it got too ansty). Or maybe it was Sandybell and Mark & Alex and Kitty from Hello! Sandybell. But then on the other hand, it can be possible that it was Lynn x Edwars & Arthur x Sarah (and little bit Arthur x Lynn, which was weird, tho) from Lady Lady!! (Didn’t ever see its ending... or beginning. Only few episodes from middle.)
7.  Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr.
Hmmm... Maybe Shadowhunters. Like I’m not still big fan or anything, but the tv-serie is kinda interesting. Oh, Lizzy (and Malec).
8.  Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves (chars you’re neutral on are fair game, as are chars you dislike)
At first, I was going with Robert but the truth is, I can’t come up with anything good to say about that asshole...
Ross Barton, from Emmerdale. He is very funny, and loving and caring dad. And in deep inside, he has a good and pure heart. (Too bad, that always when I start to warm up to him, he does something very stupid and I’m “c’mon Ross, just when I stated to like you” and then I cry but only internally.)
9.  Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)
1. That everybody admits that Robert is abuser and his relationship with Aaron is toxic. 2. Stop pretending that Robert is saint and pure, he’s fuckin’ cheating abuser and murderer. 3. Does remember that Robert threatened a toddler (who has down syndrome, btw). What? Why do you think that I don’t like asshole Rober? I HATE him!
10.  Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of
Cristina Perri’s The Words reminds me of Whoufflé. (Ha, Perri has two songs that remids me of Whoufflé. The other is, of course, A Thousand Years.)
11.  A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
George x William from Murdoch Mysteries, Clara x George
12.  Your most scandalous headcanon for your current OTP(s)/OT3(s)/OTX(s)
Scandalous? Don’t think I’ve any. I would say that Clara is the Doctor’s love of life, but that’s canon. Well, I like to think, that when Doctor some day, far away - very far away - in futute dies, Clara goes to him/her and kiss him/her on the forehead and says “I love you” to him/her for the last time. And after that, Clara goes back to the moment when she had to die and, well, die too, pretty much together with the Doctor. Because they are always together. That really isn’t scandalous, that’s just sad and bittersweet.
13.  Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything)
See above. I thought, that this was canon, then it turned out that it wasn’t... but the Doctor is pansexual/-romantic (at least it’s canon that Clara is bi and Bill is gay). Oh, and there wasn’t any Danny Pink, and Clara didn’t never ever love him. (Danny Pink? Who is he?)
I almost forgot, Sherlock’s series 4 never even happened and Sherlock and Mycroft doesn’t have any sister.
14.  5 favorite characters from 5 different fandoms
Clara Oswald from Doctor Who, George Crabtree from Murdoch Mysteries, Alicia Harding from Emmerdale, Flynn Rider from Tangled and Ron Weasley from Harry Potter
15. 3 OTPs from 3 different fandoms
Whouffle (in all its forms) from Doctor Who, William x Julia from Murdoch Mysteries and Flynn x Rapunzel from Tangled
16. 5 favorite ships
Oslock, Otayuri, Ron x Hermione, Lavender x Parvati & Clara x George
17.  Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go (prompts optional but encouraged)
Clara will always be in the Doctor’s life. In the Doctor’s past, present and future. She is always there to save the Doctor. Clara has meet all the Doctor’s, the past, the present and the future ones. There will never be a day when Clara wouldn’t be next to the Doctor, she is there always even tho the Doctor doesn’t see her.
Clara Oswald is the queen of universe and I love her so much. I love George Crabtree so much, he is pure and lovely.
And I want that George Crabtree finds his happiness and love of his life.
And there should be much more Otabek Altin in Yuri!!! on Ice.
Tagging: @mypinkandyellowrose, @acaptainswaneternity and  @sherifffjones - do this if you want. + if someone of my followers wants to do this, you can say that I tagged you.

Timeless Season 1 Review
Without a doubt, Timeless was my favorite new show of the season! The adventures of history professor Lucy (Abigail Spencer), pilot/tech genius Rufus (Malcolm Barrett), and soldier Wyatt (Matt Lanter) were a blast, zipping through American history to prevent a “madman” from changing it. Shawn Ryan, Eric Kripke, and the show’s writers added much more than a dash of historical accuracy to the Time Team’s exploits, providing real context to the events the team tried to preserve.
Full Spoilers...
Our Time Team was brought in by DHS Agent Denise Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey) and tech billionaire Connor Mason (Paterson Joseph) to catch former NSA asset Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic), who’d stolen Mason’s time machine to rewrite history and save his family from the shadowy Rittenhouse organization. Matters became increasingly complicated as Lucy’s sister Amy (Bailey Noble) was accidentally erased from the timeline, Rufus and his family were threatened by the scarily powerful and omnipresent Rittenhouse, and Wyatt was tormented by the death of his wife Jessica and whether or not he could prevent it. Spencer, Barrett, and Lanter were all excellent leads, bringing vulnerability, compassion, intelligence, humor, heroism, and just a touch of darker angst to roles that could’ve easily been one-dimensional. To that end, the series mined all the drama inherent in time travel and changes to the timeline; I was surprised from the get-go that things—at least minor ones—were allowed to change so much! For example, Lucy's comment about forgetting her sister's birthday, despite being the only person in her family who knew she existed, was heartbreaking. The reveal that she had a fiancee (Daniel Di Tomasso) in the newly altered timeline whom she’d never met could’ve been played with more, but I think it was best (and probably more realistic) for her to focus on the missions over that awkward situation. Wyatt trying to peacefully prevent Jessica's murderer from being born, even though time was fighting to maintain itself, was great drama too. His reaction when the killer’s father accidentally died was perfect and the crushing reveal that Jessica was still dead once he got home was brilliant. Rufus’ growing confidence in every area of his life was a great season-long arc that dovetailed perfectly with the steadily-developing bond within the Time Team, even as it was threatened by Rufus being an unlikely spy for Rittenhouse. Barrett brought great tension to Rufus as his turmoil over spying on his friends increased from episode to episode. I thought they’d play Rufus against Lucy and Wyatt for much longer than they did to build up a bigger betrayal, but I was pleasantly surprised he came clean rather quickly and the trio worked through it, enhancing their bond. I figured the team would go rogue eventually and I'm glad it happened before the season finale. More shows should take big risks like that rather than maintaining the status quo until “special event” episodes!
The growing familial bond between the core trio over the course of their adventures was a joy to watch, while Agent Christopher and programmer Jiya (Claudia Doumit) seamlessly fit into the group as the season progressed. I was happy Jiya was more than just a generic love interest (as cute as her romance with Rufus is) and was his equal in the tech arena, holding her own to save the day when time was tight and the odds were against them. I was genuinely surprised we met Agent Christopher’s family and continued to follow her after she was dismissed from the time travel project. That felt like the natural time to cut off the Time Team’s resources, but the show surprised me by having her go rogue and join the team. I also liked that she trusted Lucy to keep a flash drive of her family on the Lifeboat time machine in case they were erased; that was really clever. Even Mason, who I thought was genuinely a bad guy, shocked me when his self-interest (at least) won out, landing him on the Time Team's side at the last second.
I liked that Flynn wasn’t the purely evil villain he was initially made out to be, since he really was trying to save his family. It was smart to make him the extreme version of our heroes; not only did that make him a great foil for them, but at several points late in the season I thought each member of the Time Team was just a slight push away from being ready to join him. As much as Agent Christopher arresting Flynn before he could save his family (as Lucy had promised him) in the end will make him even more of an enemy, I wouldn’t be surprised if Flynn joined the Time Team next season. I can’t wait to find out when Lucy will return the journal to him and what the circumstances of Future Lucy reaching out to him—as a last hope?—are! Matt Frewer was solid in a supporting role as Anthony Bruhl, one of Flynn’s allies and Rufus’ former friend, lending a nice bit of conflict to the villains’ side of the show. The third prominent member of Flynn’s team, Emma Whitmore (Annie Wersching), proved to be calculating and capable, making her a good foil for Flynn’s more emotionally-driven methods.
Rittenhouse was a great enemy waiting in the shadows, ever-present and ready to strike, but also just out of sight. Getting Armin Shimerman to play the original Rittenhouse back in the Revolutionary War era was excellent casting! Since the organization was so powerful and imposing, I was surprised at how low-key their seeming defeat actually was. I'd like to think bringing them down by documenting all of Rittenhouse’s affairs over half a century was inspired/foreshadowed by the team’s adventure with Elliot Ness (Micha Collins) and Al Capone (Cameron Gharaee), since that’s how he was brought down before they changed history. I was expecting big changes to the timeline with Rittenhouse finally removed from the past, but this was just as satisfying. It was truly shocking that Lucy's mom Carol (Susanna Thompson) was revealed as a member of Rittenhouse too! The status quo seems to be shattered and I can't believe any of the Time Team would work with the government ever again. Are they going to join Flynn (maybe he shares some of his plutonium to power the Lifeboat) to stop Rittenhouse from creating their “perfect” future?
Many of the show’s historical guest stars were very entertaining! Harry Houdini (Michael Drayer), Bonnie & Clyde (Jacqueline Byers & Sam Strike), Ernest Hemingway (Brandon Barash), and Josephine Baker (Tiffany Daniels) were definitely among my favorites, but all of them added an engaging aspect to the weekly adventures. My absolute favorites had to the real-life inspirations for the Lone Ranger and Tonto, Bass Reeves and Grant Johnson. Reeves’ moral code played extremely well against Wyatt’s increasing difficulty with not taking more action to save Jessica, spurring a great debate about heroes and killing. On a side note, I’d love it if Timeless’ creators made a Lone Ranger series starring Coleman Domingo and Zahn McClarnon (Reeves and Johnson here), mixing Bass Reeves’ historical past with the Lone Ranger mythos! The temporal guest stars gave the show a great, varied texture: moments like actor John Wilkes Booth (Kelly Blatz) practicing his lines before committing an assassination were hilarious and the team getting to co-star in a new James Bond book/film after teaming up with Ian Fleming (Sean Maguire) was very cool! Other historical figures became well-written parallels to our heroes, like Werner Von Braun (Christian Oliver) and Rufus, or H.H. Holmes’ (Joel Johnstone) victims and the unexplained death of Wyatt’s wife. It was also great to learn new things about history, like the fact that Al Capone had a brother in law enforcement (Mather Zickel) and Jesse James (Daniel Lissing) was a psychopath instead of some noble outlaw of the Old West. Some of the changes to history, like General Cornwallis (Brad Dryborough) and Elliot Ness getting killed, genuinely shocked me (particularly as Micha Collins’ role as Ness had been so hyped online).
The show’s aesthetic was polished and sleek while staying true to the grit of war zones and the Old West when the story brought the characters there. There was a definite formula to many of the episodes—a necessary evil, as they had to show us how history really went before showing it change—but I don’t think it hurt the series at all. When they did play with the formula, like Wyatt and Rufus’ reverse-Back to the Future attempt to stop Jessica’s killer from being born and episode 7, which opened with the team being stranded during the French and Indian War, it was a great change of pace! I loved the smart writing, which injected a lot of humanity, humor, and drama into the proceedings while deftly including history lessons that never felt like lectures. I do think the series’ ratings were damaged by the timeslot (10 pm on Mondays); there was nothing content-wise that required that time and Timeless would’ve been great as an 8 pm show, given the all-ages tone. While it would conflict with The CW’s similarly-toned superhero shows Mondays-Wednesdays, maybe Timeless season 2 could find a home on Thursdays as counter-programming to ABC’s TGIT or on Fridays.
All the time-travel physics were well-explained over the course of the season, but I do have one theoretical question: they can't go back to where they've gone before, but what if they showed up a couple of days before an earlier trip to the same time zone? What would happen if they accidentally stayed past the barrier into their previous trip to that time and crossed the time streams, as it were? I think there’s a great “ticking clock” plot in there. The one area that I’d say the show could go further—and perhaps this is about to be addressed with Rittenhouse rewriting the timeline as they see fit—is that we should probably start seeing an increasingly altered future as more and more trips are taken to the past. As pointed out by the Bitter Script Reader on Twitter, this would eventually render Lucy ineffective as she knows less and less about the new history (unless her role shifts to documenting the history that was), but I don’t think the show should be afraid to go big on the changes.
I had a plethora of crazy theories about how the show could twist the plot and the timeline: Was Flynn from the future? Could he be Lucy’s son? Amy’s son, now existing only because he was outside the timeline when it changed and she was erased? Lucy’s father? Someone sent back in time by a future Lucy? Could one of the accidental changes to history bring back Wyatt’s wife Jessica? Did Rittenhouse kill her in the first place? Is Wyatt going to kill the parents of her killer to save her? If they eliminate Rittenhouse, will Lucy be born? Will Rufus get caught playing double agent? Will the Time Team find themselves aligned with Flynn by the season finale? I love theorizing and I love when shows fool me even more. Timeless did that often, and their reveals were never disappointing compared to my theories.
I can’t wait to see where this show goes if it gets a second season! Jessica’s death is still super suspicious; I’m 100% positive it was carried out by Rittenhouse (and they just used a different killer once Wyatt eliminated the original one from the timeline), and I can’t believe Wyatt is really ready to let it lie. If it was Rittenhouse, why would they have her killed? Was she involved with them too? Could Rittenhouse’s plans to create their perfect world bring Jessica back? The one thing I don’t need to see is Lucy and Wyatt together romantically. I know it's big in the fandom—at least on Twitter—but to me, it's clear he absolutely still loves Jessica and until he can't possibly bring her back, I don't see him moving on. Wyatt and Lucy do have chemistry, but it doesn't feel romantic from his side. Lucy’s maybe, but Wyatt seems unwavering in his devotion to his wife. I still think it'd be gut-wrenchingly brilliant if they discovered that Lucy's dad killed her, so the only way to save Jessica would be to kill him before Lucy's conceived.
Are Wyatt and Rufus going to break Flynn out of prison so he can help rescue Lucy from her mom and retake the Lifeboat? Will Lucy ever find a way to get Amy back? I don't see why Lucy drew a connection between her mom's illness and Amy existing, but if they are connected somehow, that’d certainly be surprising. Are we going to see Lucy fill out the journal, now that she has it? Will we see Flynn time travel to meet older Lucy, or are we going to see her grow to a point where she sends him back in time? Will Mason’s self-serving nature continue to supply the team indefinitely, or are those resources shut off for good? What’s secret Rittenhouse agent Emma Whitmore off to destroy? Is my sister right, and Jiya’s visions of the past will give the Time Team their history-saving missions by cluing them in to what Whitmore is changing?
Whatever they have in store, I’ll be very disappointed if NBC doesn’t bring Timeless back for another season! The cast, writing, and historical nature of the show are all top-notch. #RenewTimeless, indeed!
