It was game night in Ann Arbor, and you had just arrived at Yost arena. Your boyfriend, Keaton, forgot his phone at home, so you were heading to the locker room to give it to him.

As you turned a corner, you collided with a much larger body. You fell back a bit before the person you ran into caught and steadied you.

"I'm so sorry, I was rushing! Are you okay?" You asked the person as you regained your balance.

The boy laughed as he kept his hands on your arms. "I'm fine, barely even felt it with your little self." He replied.

You looked up and noticed who you rammed into was a player from the opposing team.

You smiled shyly, muttering another apology before trying to get back to what you were doing.

"Wait." He said, not letting up his grip on you. "Maybe you can make it up to me somehow?" He asked, smirking.

You gave him a confused look as you asked what he meant.

"You know what I mean." He replied, a smirk growing on his lips.

You began to feel very uncomfortable, as he still had his hands on you and there was no one else around.

"I- Uh." You tried to say, but your words kept getting caught in your throat. "I just need to get to my boyf-" You continued, but were cut off.

"I really think you should say you're sorry in a different way." He said, pushing you back slightly so your back was against a wall.

Your heart was beating fast as the boy stared down at your much smaller and shaky frame.

Just as you were about to attempt to escape his grip yet again, you heard a voice down the hall.

"Y/n?"

You turned and saw Grano, who began approaching you and the boy.

"Is everything okay?" He asked.

You looked at the boy, then back at Grano and began shaking your head. "Get Keato, please." You said, and Grano wasted no time rushing back to the locker room to retrieve your boyfriend, who was running out into the hallway within seconds.

"HEY!" He yelled, as he approached the two of you.

"Get your hands off of my girlfriend, right now."

The boy let go of you, stepping back and putting his hands up in defense.

"My bad, Pehrson. Didn't know she was yours." He said as he began to walk away, but Keaton wasn't done wit him.

Walking up to the boy, he gripped his jersey in his hands as he pushed him up against the same wall he just had you pushed up against.

"You fucking asshole." Keaton spat as Grano came over to try to calm him down.

"Keato, let go. Settle this on the ice." He said.

Keaton burned a hole into the boys head with his glare before shoving him back and releasing his jersey.

"Right, we'll settle this on the ice. You're going to regret this." Keaton said, walking away from the boy and coming over to you.

"Are you okay, baby?" He asked in a gentle tone, putting his hands on your arms and inspecting you for injury.

"I'm okay, it was just scary." You said barely above a whisper.

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry I wasn't here." Keaton said, cupping your face in his hands.

"Keat?" You said softly. "Please hug me before I fall apart." You choked out.

Within a second, your boyfriend was pulling you tightly into his embrace.

He held your waist with one hand as the other was on the back of your head, cradling it.

PERSONA 3: RELOAD (LIVE RAMBLES)

to pre-face, i’ve played portable (like ten years ago), royal and i’m like five hours into golden so not my first rodeo with atlus or at least a version of persona three. i’ve also played dancing in starlight but i suck at it on a catastrophic level.

atlus said gay rights, unless of course you’re ren, yusuke or akechi.

after recently re-beating royal, it’s so nice not to be treated as satan’s spawn from the get-go for the crime of being a green flag.

just beat kingdom hearts three, which means i’ve played two games with cyborg actors back-to back.

pharos really said, “boo, bitch” also he’s so extra to teleport like a five-centimetre difference.

“aria of the soul” is honestly my favourite persona track

atlus have some big boots to fill with the fem!mc being shafted as second time in a row. we better get a fem!mc for persona six.

even with playing p3p, this so accurate i could cry but then the reaper will get me so i’ll just keep hysterically running like the good little tank i am.

junpei is already grating on me again, like mid-game ryuji levels but i know i just have to stick with it.

“mass destruction” is no “take over”, “life will change” or “a way of life” but it’s growing on me again, always loved the intro but not a fan of the rap.

atlus how dare you take my man away from me! akihiko i’m right here! oh boy i am not ready for shinjiro.

akihiko, shinjiro and kotone are the ultimate trio, up there with the royal trio + ren, ann and ryuji.

i’m not gonna shut up about this so be warned but without kotone you loose one of the most devastating realisations post-game that akihiko looses his sister, his best friend and his girlfriend.

also, shinjiro’s arc on kotone and loosing the guy she loves (ending dependant) is completely lost because you’ve got very surface level relationships with him and akihiko as makoto.

whilst we’re on the topic of p3p is it not kinda hilarious that makoto and elizabeth’s voice actors are married in real life as are kotone and theo’s and to go even deeper, makoto + kotone play peter parker and mary-jane. (their partners are also in that game with them too.)

i went into reload with an open mind, like “i played a little as yu, bodied as ren. how bad could playing as another dude be?” but i miss my bby kotone. fuck you atlus! (i think the issue is more, the lord giveth and the atlus taketh). i’m playing on console, so no mod for me!

i see myself in kotone a lot, in the way she handles her depression and honestly both in my teenage years and in my early twenties. that's why i'm so bitter because it's not a take on depression we see often.

i saw someone once headcanon fanart akihiko + and kotone as makoto and sae’s parents (obviously the timelines don’t match since mako is already ten during persona 3 but it was just too cute. like aki’s obsession with the colour red, kotone being the embodiment of that and obviously the redness of p5).

i’ve not heard everyone’s new va’s yet properly in action but from what i have, for the most part i really like ‘em. shinjiro, akihiko and yukari aren’t super abrasive to me (even with aki and shinji’s being so different i still think they’re excellent) so i don’t mind them. aigis, mitsuru, fuuka, ken and jumpei benefit the most. especially junpei and aigis (cause they deserve better than creeps and trump fans because in this house, we respect women.) i also never loved yuri as makoto either. mitsuru now has the voice i always envisioned her having and fuuka isn’t super flat anymore.

i’ve always thought this, but i go back and fourth between these two casts. there’s a lot more progression and interpersonal stuff between these guys that are allowed to evolve so i prefer sees as a unit but individually, i prefer more of the phantom thieves. like futaba, ann, makoto and ren being my favourite male protagonist but, two’s are significantly better written.

fun musings corner: the last hurdle is becoming a drag, so here’s things i love getting back into the p3 fandom-space. y’all should check out superbutterbuns persona videos, she’s great. been watching her for nearly ten years, truly peak content creator. fan art of kotone being pharos’ bestest big sister, akiham generally but especially the niijima parent au’s, and any and all koro merch. the kotone mod, omfg it looks amazing and the fact that saab (aki’s va) said he would’ve loved fem!c in reload.

considering its links to tv, someone said they should call the remake of persona 4, persona 4: rerun.

the music in the final month is so pretty and because i’m quite violently ill and don’t know what’s wrong i genuinely thought the desaturation was my eyes.

again, koromaru has the best social link and i just wanna cry whenever i think about everyone moving on and leaving him behind.

i didn’t really feel much for makoto, not that i felt that much more for ren the first time round, so that might be the anime’s shot.

the end of the game was a bit of a slog. maybe because i knew what happened but those last two full moons, ugh.

closing thoughts, prefer royal as a game, music was great, fantastic new cast, cried a little in the final scene with aigis, after royal tartarus is just not as fun because of mementos, nyx was not a difficult final boss? i had more of a challenge with both maruki and yaldabaoth. primary party was the severely nerfed aki, koro and the broken stinkari (seriously, 11sp for the entire party to be fully healed?). i kinda knew they don’t really get taken from you from an extended period so i put the most into them at got the to level 98, 97 and 89. no plans to play the answer anytime soon (golden is next). i miss kotoneeee. best scene in the entire game is this or this.

not a bad way to spend ninety-four hours even if i didn’t end it with akihiko’s gassy ass on kotone’s deathbed.

29. What’s something about your writing that you’re proud of?

Honestly, I think in this context (fanfiction) I am most proud of my growth as a writer - I have been writing these characters for decades at this point and it is greatly apparent to me how much my writing ability and just like, insight into the characters in general has grown and changed since I was a teenager *lol* - and I am also proud of the fact that I pour my whole heart into my little OTP and have written the things that *I* want to read, despite the fact that I get very little engagement with whatever I post. For a lot of years I was the only active Eric/Donna writer/shipper around, and I don't let that phase me or change me. Just true love for the game over here, baby. 😂

17. Do you have a writing routine?

Not particularly! I can tell you that during the day I like to have caffeine (coffee or Diet Coke) on hand, and at night I like to have my vape pen on hand. I usually start by perusing my outline (if I have one) or the last chapter/draft I wrote, and then I just pick up from there and see how long I can go!

I am big on 'shitty first drafts' (thank you Anne Lamott) - meaning I never post right after I've written (the drabbles I post on here are the exception). There are multiple rounds of editing/revising, and I like to have the whole story written (or at least most of it!) before I begin posting. My stories are long works in progress. That's why I'm on a bit of a posting hiatus at the moment. Lots of first drafts in progress. Finished drafts? Not so much *lol*.

36. What fic are you proudest of?

Tough not to go with Drops of Jupiter on this one, because I'm so proud I came back and finished it. Started writing it in high school (early high school... I look back at some of the author's notes on FF.net and I cringe *lol*, oh bby girl) and finished it what, two years ago? So yeah, proud to have completed it and when I read it back I see growth and it still gets me in those Eric/Donna (and Jackie/Hyde!) feels.

6. what is something that you’ve always wanted to do but have never been able to do?

i really want to travel abroad. especially to india, i used to study religion and hinduism and buddhism is something im so unbelievably interested in, and i would love to visit a temple. i feel like it would change my life forever….. i fear i’ll never be able to tho bc im very scared of flying and ive never flown longer than 4 hours. i havent been on a plane since 2017 and sometimes i genuinely dont know if i ever will again

im also very invested in tudor history and want to visit england to visist all the historic places!! espcially where anne boleyn was executed and where katherine howard lived

7. what is your fatal flaw?

im very impulsive and not in a fun or charming way. it leads to me double booking, taking on too much, getting burnt out, etc

So, I recently made a post about Kiyomi, which is one of my favorite OCs that I have, but now I gotta talk about my other OCs that I have. I have at least 100 little blorbo OCs, they have been plaguing my mind. Also, I have like a grand total of 12 human OCs 😭.

I’ll just make this post into pieces, and each piece with be a few paragraphs about one OC. Some are from the same universe, some are not.

013.

013 is one of my more recently made OCs. She’s another one of my favorites, too. She’s from one of my WIPs, in which the plot is just about her, her best friend, and the adventures they go on. She’s also like, very sickly and small, she’s definitely one of those Always Sick (tm) kids. Her various sicknesses and chronic ailments were what caused her eventual death. She was fascinated by the stars, and the beauty of the night sky. She’d usually get her best friend, Victor, to lend her his telescope or teach her more about the other planets and galaxies. She said when she grew up, she wanted to be an astronaut. She spent lots of time studying space, and she really did want to see the stars in person. She died when she was a teenager. Victor lived to an old age, without her. Anyway, she’s just a cute OC. Ray of sunshine and everything. I hated writing the scene of her death, ugh. Below is a sketch of her.

Mary-Anne Taylor.

This OC is from a totally different universe from Victor and 013. She lived around the 1980s and 1890s, and died to sickness. Now, she is a ghost who possesses a glass doll. The glass doll is similar to her in looks, and that is why she chose it. She was a child when she died, so she still likes learning new things and playing outside. She had a little sister that she loved to play with and take care of. I mainly use this OC for rps, where I have her ask the other character about what special things have happened since her death. Very cute overall. I don’t actually have any concepts for her design…? She loves to catch bugs and run in the mud, she had no care for what “being proper” meant. She’s just a bro.

Yui Barkes.

Yui is just this emo girl who wears lots of eyeliner and hides the lower half of her face under a vintage gas mask? The gas mask, though, is only half there for aesthetics, as she has this kuchisake-onna style smile scar going across her face. It’s very bloody and unsettling, and it’s unknown as to how she got the scar. It makes her look badass, even if she is insecure about it. She’s a guitarist for a grunge band, and she writes most of the band’s music. Her girlfriend is in the band as well. She’s a very cool character and she sounds like the sort of person anyone would want to be friends with. I have her made in GC but I won’t bestow that horror upon you.

Magic Jack.

This lil’ guy is an OC I made as a joke, after keysmashing on a Chinese keyboard and accidentally texting my friend about an explorerer named Magic Jack destined to penetrate a barrier into a Forbidden City. I have no clue what it was about, but now le Magic Jack has a design, and he is a gay icon.

Ven Omause.

This OC was meant to be a YTTD OC, but now she’s detached from that and part of her own original story. She’s based on the YTTD dolls in the sense of her name meaning something weird and sinister or just being a misspelling of a phrase to look like a name. E.g. Tia Safalin, Sue Miley, Rio Ranger… Ven is based off the motif of snakes, snake powers, snake obsession, snake everything. She even has her tongue pierced so it looks reptillian. Her whole shtick is that she’s a serial killer with DID, one personality being an innocent high school student and one personality being a snake obssessed serial killer.

It's me again!!:D I just read your answer to my ask and yes! Yesterday I unlocked the Elven City and Demon City plus the quick travel services to those places and to the eastern woods! I've made it my personal mission to romance the prince himself because I'm a foolish sucker for the "I hate you, why are you nice to me"-Trope and I'm curious to see how his personality will change towards the MC lmao- In SDV I almost always go for Elliott, but the character development I enjoyed the most is definitely Haley. I also played Expanded and *coughs* Lance? I love you? But also, why are your quests so hard? I honestly think that that's a bit sad tbh, cuz you already have to wait so long to meet him and then you just get hit with quest after quest in order to get his hearts:(

Anyways, YES I love the dragons and other creatures in this game, they look so cool!! I would've loved to adopt the dragon bby myself tbh. When it hits you with the 🥺 I just thought: .... I want you. Now I'm working towards adopting a fox... creature, riding thingy from the Elves, hehehehe>:)

And I picked Amari Farmer for my first playthrough! I definitely wanna go Angel next, don't know what profession yet though, maybe Baker?:0 My only gripe with the character customization is that I don't like the eyes- They fit the game but now my character just looks worried 24/7😭😭

I just beat Weedil and I'm working on getting some quests done while also getting all the machines and stuff you can at the farm, as well as grinding skills. I think my exploration is at 14/15 for the quest Elios gives you to get a skill to level 15, so that's where I'm at at this point! (Also, beating Weedil gives this funky looking pet that keeps shooting seeds around me... lil meanie.)

I'm also trying to grind spring seasonal tokens because AAAAA I WANT THE LITTLE FAIRIE PET THING! AND ALL THE STUFF BLOSSOM HAS!!! All that stuff is so cute, I want it so much ;-;

I'm probably romancing Anne or Liam with my Elf, and I'll probably romance Wornhardt with my human I use for streams, mainly because my regulars really like him lol

Oooh, Amari Farmer!!! I do like the Amari stuff, it looks very interesting!! I actually really like all the races and the customisation, but I do agree that the eyes are... strange, to say the least.

In Stardew, my first romance was Elliot! But my favorite romance is Sebastian, with Shane coming up second. Haley's character development was BEAUTIFUL!!! I loved every second of it!!!

The first time Ann hears about Akira knowing gas chamber is from Ryuji. So its no surprise that she thinks he's full of shit and Akira would 100% commit to the bit and never confirm it. Everyone else will similarly follow suit and also think Ryuji is trying really hard to convince them that not only does Akira totally know gas chambers on a personal level but tatsujun isnt just PR. Theyre married and are Akira's adopted parents. It gets to the point that Ann and Ryuji start arguing about it publically. It becomes a running joke among there classmates.

Most of their classmates are pretty ick about it (they dont really think positively of Ann Ryuji and akira as is so they joke about how the deliquent is really out here trying to convince everyone he's related to celebrities). Mishima on the other hand believed it the instant he was told:

Ryuji: *points to Akira* This guy is the love child of tatsujun from gas chamber

Mishima: *sideeying ryuji* reaaaaally?

Akira: *straight faced knowing he looks like he knows you know hes lying* yep.

It was enough for Mishima.

Futaba already knew. She found out while doing a bg check on Akira before he moved into the cafe. She also doesnt tell anyone bc she also thinks it's fucking hilarious that no one else knows.

Haru initially doesnt believe them but she once met Jun at a charity function when she was younger. He had tatsuya with him and she did get the impression that they actually were romantically together. One day she corners Akira to find out the truth but it very much goes similarly as it did with mishima (Akira confirms but is he *actually* confirming it or just messing around??) Haru is eventually able to get a crack in the facade when she tells him how he met the two before and how she thinks they might actually be together. How encouraging it was to see a queer couple who were so in love that they couldnt really hide it. Akira breaks and ends up sharing family photos with her.

If youve seen my flower child au comics theyre kinda inconsistent with how and when morgana and Akechi find out. Earlier comics had them knowing during the events of the game while my more recent comics have them finding out post game. But i think I prefer them knowing during game cause it just makes better sense for me timeline wise so....ignoreing my own comics I guess

Morgana would technically be told the same time as Ryuji except Morgana would have 0 context as to who tatsuya and jun are or even who gas chambers is. So from Morgana's perspective Ryuji thought Akira's dad (who morgana saw pictures of from when Akira was a kid) was a girl. (He will never let Ryuji forget this). Ryuji would later be talking about gas chambers with Ann and she would be the one to show morgana their music and recordings of interviews and live shows. Because theyre fully dressed like a v-kei band Morgana wont put 2 and 2 together until after he actually meets them.

Even though he would also do a background check on Akira, Akechi doesnt know that about who Akira's parents are. (Jun and tatsuya couldnt legally adopt Akira so technically Katsuya and Maya would be Akira's legal parents but everyone in sumaru knows bc Jun and Tatsuya never hid their relationship. Also all the members of Gas Chambers go by a stage name for privacy reasons)

Like Ryuji Akechi also grew up familar with Gas Chamber bc his mom was a fan (side note: I think both Ryuji and Akechi would have young moms who couldve been good friends). Akechi, gun to head, would never admit this to anyone especially not akira but Jun would be his gay awakening. Akira only finds this out after Akechi meets his parents. They dont break up over this but they get close to it. Akira would refuse to talk to his dads for a week when he finds out leaving his parents panicked bc their bby boy is big sad and might have broken up with his first bf but doesnt want their help. They stay together and all is good but lord help Akechi if he ever points out any similarities between Jun and Akira.

Yusuke has no fucking clue who Gas Chambers is. But when he meets Eikichi he will go to stalker level to get a chance to draw him. Luckily for him Eikichi finds out about the little weirdo thinking hes beautiful and is all about it. He keeps every piece Yusuke gives him and even has Yusuke's paintings in the family restaurant as well as his home.

Edit: I forgot Sumire!! I'll be honest, I have no clue. I dont believe she would know who Gas Chambers is. Futaba would probably only know bc she's a gremlin and constantly online.

Sumire most likely would think Ryuji is trying to tease her and not believe him either. She would be with the squad when they go visit Akira and find out Ryuji didnt lie. Shed be glad that Futaba and Akira got the pleasure of their long con going through without failure.

Also the p2 squad will realize that the metaverse was a thing when they hear Morgana talk.

moments i absolutely adore: goro knowingly utilizing gap moe, goro imitating ryuji and ryuji laughing with it, goro unused to being bickered over by HIS FRIENDS, the neat-o explanation for changing clothes in the metaverse, robin & ryuji, goro being a nerd and also loving the praise he gets but not allowing himself to bask in it for long, AKIRA

my bby is here again ive missed him 🥺🥺🥺 i love how nicely him appearing ties into with THE FOOL, because he sorta is one yeah? it's like a little nod to the canon p5 (where thematically akira can be said to be the fool, gaining enlightment and spirituality via his bonds as the game progresses; but also where yaldabaoth is the fool confidant AND is the one behind akira in the swap au). it's also a little 👀👀👀 with how goro unlocks the fool confidant the moment akira comes into the picture, like it's not just the ryuji-ann-morgana group who are the fool confidant for goro, akira is a necessary element there as well. also is goro suspecting something with those CLANG CLANG chains and cards? is he tying them to specific people in his mind and will he (mistakenly) tie the fool to akira?

um also i love love love what you do with the text formatting in those BREAKETH THY CHAINS sequences, it's very cool! and when you change the text in there a little bit, like turning "chains of captivity" into "captive" and then evolving it into "you are held captive" like woah...... foreshadowing!!

then the entire sequence of goro trying to understand why does he hate akira so much. lmao omg "he's so annoying and his smile is not ugly at all and also his lashes are soooo long. god what a fucking dick" goro babe please skdjeindosndj im very curious as to who will be the first to understand and acknowledge their feelings to the other. goro or akira akira or goro. goro is emotionally constipated akira is babygirl murderer place your bets

and then!!! goro immediately becoming suspicious bc of akira's slip up. it's going to bite everyone in the ass of course we know that but i can just FEEL how narratively satisfying it will be when everyone will write goro's suspicions off, like "nah goro's just got a hateboner for him" like ahhhh goro you're so correct but your actions and biases have led you here the cliff of your own doing

and then sojiro scene. the entirety of it. goro scrambling to fall back on some tried and true approach except sojiro's having none of that because HE. GENUINELY. CARES. poor monamona that whole breakdown and crying must've been so awkward for him

im glad you liked the sojiro scene. it was honestly and truly such a long time coming, and they kind of... needed it? it was the only way goro could understand where sojiro was coming from, at least to me. goro's instinctive reaction to any unnatural behaviors is to lash out until the other person goes away or fights right back--both of which would be beneficial to him, at least in his perspective, because the strange threat is gone and he's back in his safe, lonely bubble. it's also why he was so taken aback when sojiro just... took it. he didn't expect him to agree. he didn't know what to do when he did.
