Let's do some book deals.
We only share deals on titles we've already featured on the podcast. We're not recommending these just because they're cheap.
They're good and cheap.
Naima Simone's SIN AND INK is $1. We talked about it in Widows and The Best Kisses.
We talked about Nikki Sloane's REDEMPTION in Taboo Romance. $1.
We covered Jeannie Lin's THE SWORD DANCER in Antiheroines. It's $2 today.
Anna Zabbo's COUNTERPOINT made an appearance in Rock Star Romance, our first proper episode. It's $2.
We mentioned Jude Deveraux's ETERNITY in Competence & Careers. It's $2.
We recommended Amanda Bouchet's A PROMISE OF FIRE in our Fantasy Romance episode. It's $2.
We discussed Kit Rocha's BEYOND SHAME in our crossover episode with Wicked Wallflowers. This bundle of Beyond Shame, Beyond Control, and Beyond Pain is $3.
Joanna Lindsey's LOVE ONLY ONCE is $5.49. We include it in Romance Families.

Queer reads: L.A. Witt
Continuing the theme of hockey romances, today we have L.A. Witt.
Tumblr media
First of all, while I’m highlighting some (not even all) of Witt’s hockey romances, she has written approximately a zillion books under three (i think?) pen names, so really, you could find anything by her you might like. Fencing/bdsm romance? Check. Chernobyl werewolves ménage? Check. Bodyguard turned lover? Check. Vampire vs. werewolves? Yeah, that too.
What I like about Witt’s writing is the angst and the spice. The conflict in her stories is not just background set-dressing, and truly impact the characters and the choices they make. Also, her books tend to be on the longer side, so there’s a lot of room for the characters to actually work through their problems.
Out of all the books on the little graphic I made, I think my favorite is Brick Walls, where our two protagonists are both goalies, both at rock bottom for different reasons, and exes of each other. It’s a second chance romance that deals with addiction and trauma, and really earns its happily ever after.
Rookie Mistake and Scoreless Game are cowritten with Anna Zabbo (I also really like them & they are getting a post later in the month.) There’s a third book in that series coming in the future, and I’m eagerly waiting for that.
I’ve got a couple more days of hockey romances for you, before we move on to some more random subgenres. Remember folks, read queer all year.
