I wish I could see more successful and underprivileged Mexican/latino artists to look up to. Feels like everyone who made it real big in the modern online art space are white people who grew up in the suburbs or with fairly stable upbringings that allows them to pour all their energy into their career. idk I just want reassurance I can one day have my own apartment without fighting for my life I guess

day 13: unlucky. decided to just lean into all the cliches for this one. dead ladybug, upside down horseshoe, broken mirror shard, raven, black cat… idk what this guy’s deal is but he’s having a Bad Day

day 14: skull. i ADORE lego monkie kid and mystic mayor is my favorite character. what a freak <3

day 15: grungy. this piece has a backstory a mile long and you guys don’t get to hear any of it :]

day 16: scarecrow. Turnip Head is one of the characters ever so obviously had to draw him

day 17: camera. who else could i draw but our beloved John Juniper?

day 18: undead. Sam Yao and Jack Sullivan my BELOVEDS go read Last Kids on Earth and play Zombies Run I BEG OF YOU

day 19: violin. my girl Anna Ulanova was another obvious choice for this prompt. she just wants to play the violin is that too much to ask?

Anna: Rina's got a…Don't say werewolf, don't say werewolf.. high tolerance to raw meat sheepish grin, Mo stares for a bit, waiting for a better excuse, then shrugs Mari: I mean, steak tartare is a thing, and that uses raw steak Jules: don't you like cook that in lemon juice or something? Mo: that's ceviche Mari: and that's shrimp Jules: Oh returns to her phone Mo: Hey Rina! Wanna grab a plate and join us in here? note: this isn't too long after they meet Rina, Mo is concerned about accidentally excluding her, as she's noticed Rina gets anxious easily Rina nods, and, grabbing a plate -has she just been eating out of the package the whole time?- she and Anna come to the living room, joining Mo and Dew on the couch
