Here’s what I mean when I talk about how amazingly detailed the acting and directing of Obsession is.

Because William and Anna say very little to each other until later in their affair, Richard Armitage and Charlie Murphy focus their acting skill on non verbal clues, body language and micro expressions. Which they do very well. RA is always so detailed in his acting and this show actively focuses on that, which is why I’m glad he did this and why I think if you’re a fan it’s worth watching if you can.

I will describe to you a clip from the first episode. It lasts 3 minutes, not a word is spoken until the last second of the clip. It starts with William going to meet Anna alone for the first time, and finishes before they have sex. Absolutely nothing explicit happens, they don’t even kiss, they hardly touch. Anna is fully dressed throughout, William is naked by the end but we only see him from the back. It starts 23 minutes into the episode and finishes 26 minutes in.

I’m NOT a writer. I am not embellishing any of this, just describing in a lot of detail what I can see and hear in the clip. If you watch those 3 minutes closely enough you will spot everything I mention.

23:00 Begin scene

William is outside the main entrance of the building. Rings the doorbell and the score increases in pitch and urgency as he is buzzed in. When he goes through the door, the music changes slightly -a threshold has been crossed and there’s a difference between the before and the after. As William runs up the grand, spiral staircase, the music increases into crescendo. The moment his foot reaches the top step, another element is added to the score. It’s a pulse that sounds like a ticking, or a heartbeat. Or like a countdown. William is standing in front of the flat’s green door. He hesitates… exhales and braces himself, then drops his head and pushes the it open with a creak. He exhales nervously again as he goes in, closing the door behind him.

William walks into the flat cautiously, sees Anna standing in the other end of the room, motionless, watching him closely. We see Anna through Will’s eyes, a figure growing larger as he approaches her. Step. Step. Step. Step. The music is becoming tenser again, it feels like a tightening gear. We see Anna’s face and her eyes are glassy, her breath has sped up. He walks toward her and the score becomes tighter and tighter step step step and STOP. She raises her hand in a “halt” gesture and he freezes, inhaling sharply.

All music stops. Without it, the tiniest sounds seem magnified and the scene becomes immersive.

William takes a shaky breath, his eyes glued to Anna’s, and he gives her an almost imperceptible, questioning head-tilt. They stare at each other mesmerised, both their hitched breaths mirroring each other. Slowly, carefully, Anna starts walking toward him, her heels echo on the hardwood floor. Step. Step. Step and William looks almost shocked at how close she is. Within reach. Two more echoing footsteps and she is so close to him that their bodies are almost touching… almost. She leans her face towards him and he shakily releases a breath he’d been holding. Noses almost touching, breaths mingling… he leans in for a kiss but Anna breaks the moment, nuzzling his cheek with her nose. His stubble scrapes oh her smooth skin with a dry sound and we know how red her mouth would be after just a few kisses. She leans in, sliding his jacket off his shoulders and a muscle on William’s neck twitches, just where he feels her breath meet his skin. When she puts her hands on his chest to unbutton his shirt, he almost comes undone. Smooth cotton slides over his abdomen as she pulls the shirt out of his trousers and lets it fall to the floor. He thinks this time she’ll let him kiss her, but Anna undoes his belt instead, and pulls his trousers and underwear down with a smooth motion, never breaking eye contact. Now William stands uncovered before her and there’s nothing hiding all that he is, all that he feels. He looks almost betrayed when she takes three steps back, until her hands go to the hem of her skirt. He can’t seem to look away from her eyes, but hears the snap of elastic and the whisper of silk sliding against skin and then her heels tapping the hardwood floor as she kicks her panties off. When she starts backing away from him again, cheeks flushed and still staring into his eyes, William looks like a switch was flipped inside him, and he couldn’t have stopped even if he had wanted to. When she lies on her back on the floor, he looks like he might cry. Anna lets her outstretched arms fall to her sides, like a crucifix, like someone who can forgive his sins, parts her knees and says “Yes”.

Fav moments in outsiders GMA performance (warning I’m gonna use actor names instead of character names cuz it’s easier for me, but please know that 95% of the time this isn’t about the actors lmao):

-when Brody and sky start singing together and you can see that they’re both genuinely smiling and laughing with each other and it’s so cute

-“they’ll do all that they can to keep you poor and scared”

-when all the greasers are revealed Brent’s kinda hugging Anna and it’s so cute

-at the same time Tilly’s messing with Daryl, then she reaches up to Renni, then kinda hugs Brent’s leg and he leans into her AND ITS SO CUTE HRHFJDH

-Daryl and Brody doing the handshake

-Jason greeting sky then audibly slapping Josh strobl with the rag 😭

-Jason slapping Brody with the rag

-the way Emma’s with kwp and they’re being all romantic and then basically immediately she’s lifted into the air by rj and kwp is forgotten

-melody and Barton are so cute before they start dancing together, just watch them lol

-Kevin csolak also holds saragrace up before the socs dance, but not nearly as high as Emma and it kinda looks funny 

-Brody spinning tilly

-kwp and Dan berry just chilling and watching during all the dancing is so funny to me

-Kevin csolak kinda tries to go to I think Brody, but sarahgrace pulls him back

-Jason hugging Tilly in the final pose

-and don’t forget all of Brody’s riffs in the entire song. Special shoutout to the run he does on ��just one thing”

-whatever the fuck Trevi’s doing during “some of us are cool like James dean” KILLS ME LMAO

-Daryl having his arm around sky on the car is so cuteee

-Brody not being quick on his feet

-when Joshua Boone goes over to sky and they have this really cute moment and ugshhddhhf the tragedy hits 😭

Filming begins on SAS Rogue Heroes series two, as new and returning cast are announced

Spring, 1943. With David Stirling captured and Paddy Mayne now in charge of the SAS, their attention must turn from the conflict in North Africa to mainland Europe. But GHQ have cast doubt over the future of the regiment, while the creation of a new unit and a surprise arrival make things even more difficult for the men. Can they prove that the SAS remains essential to the war, wherever it may lead them?

Jack O’Connell returns as Paddy Mayne, alongside Connor Swindells as David Stirling, Sofia Boutella as Eve Mansour, and Dominic West as Dudley Clarke. Gwilym Lee (The Great, Bohemian Rhapsody) joins SAS Rogue Heroes for series two to play Bill Stirling, David Stirling’s brother and founder of the 2SAS regiment, while Con O’Neill (Happy Valley, Our Flag Means Death) will play General Montgomery.

Also strapping on their boots to return for series two are Theo Barklem-Biggs as Reg Seekings, Corin Silva as Jim Almonds, Jacob Ifan as Pat Riley, Jacob McCarthy as Johnny Cooper, Stuart Campbell as Bill Fraser, and Bobby Schofield as Dave Kershaw. They will serve alongside new recruits Mark Rowley (The Last Kingdom, The North Water) and Jack Barton (Heartstopper, War of the Worlds), who will play SAS members Jock McDiarmid and John Tonkin respectively.

Further new cast members for series two include Paolo De Vita (Anonymous, La Grande Guerra del Salento), Anna Manuelli (Blocco 181, Pezzi unici), Edward Bennett (Industry, Save Me Too) and Matteo Franco.

Am I a Monster? Disney Frozen & MCU Corssover, CHAPTER ONE

CHAPTER ONE

Summary:

Elsa and Anna Arendelle. Sisters first, best friends forever. Even with Elsa being the one with cryokinesis- the enhanced abilities to control snow, ice and the cold. Struggling to make ends meet with Elsa attending college and Anna finishing up her senior year of high school, they accidently attract the attention of both SHIELD and HYDRA.

I’m back! this is a rewrite of a past project that I had abandoned due to Covid and lack of brain cells. Let’s hope that I don’t lose interest in this little project of mine!

CHAPTER WORD COUNT: 1089

Elsa shut the door with her foot, carrying two bags of groceries for the week. An exhausted sigh escaped her mouth at the silence that filled with dingy apartment, located in the poorer parts of New York. Despite the fact that the twenty one year old college student was raising her sickly high school student sister on a fixed income, the sad apartment was fixed up to the best of their ability. The thin walls were decorated with blankets to keep the warmth in, the sagging bookshelf was crammed full with textbooks and cheap adventure novels, the outdated kitchen had a fresh tray of double chocolate chip cookies on the counter and a damp towel was neatly folded next to the stove.

All in all, the two sisters did the best that they could with what little they had access to.

“Hey,” Anna, her little sister, greeted with a weak smile over from the couch, where she was working on her chemistry homework. “How were classes?”

“Alright,” smiled the pale blonde with a small smile. “I’m just happy that winter break starts next week. Speaking of which- I went and got you another blankie.” She reached into one of the grocery bags and pulled out a fuzzy fleece blanket in hot pink and electric purple.

“Thank you!” Anna happily squealed, snatching the blankie from her sister and promptly wrapping herself in a warm cocoon.

“Well with how easily you get cold, I just figured that I should just wrap you up in blankies and have myself a little Anna burrito,” Elsa teased her said with a laugh. “Especially with Paul being such a grade A sleazebag excuse of a landlord and flat out refusing to fix the heating system.”

“Yeah.” All that could be seen of Anna were her eyes and nose, causing for Elsa to reach across and tap her little sister on the nose.

“Speaking of which, how are you on medication?” Elsa asked as she began to put the groceries away. “Do I need to go out and make a drug store run?”

“I don’t think so- my inhaler is half full,” Anna said, taking her glasses of to scrub at her eyes. “But I think I’m coming down with another ear infection and a head cold.”

Elsa groaned under her breath as she figured the cost of the medicines that Anna would require to get to her bubbly self once more.

“I’m so sorry Elsa,” Anna apologized. “I truly don’t mean to be so sick all the time.” Elsa didn’t have to look to see her sister was trying not to cry.

“I know you don’t,” Elsa took out a saucepan that had seen better days. “Does chicken noodle soup sound good for tonight?” Anna nodded, setting her homework aside as she curled up into a little ball to keep herself warm.

“Oh Elsa, before I forget, you got a letter today,” Anna said in an excited voice. “Had to sign for it and everything. I put it on our bed. it has an official looking seal- who do you think it’s from?”

Elsa smiled her thanks through a mouthful of food before standing to place her now empty bowl into the sink. She entered the only bedroom in the crap excuse of an apartment and immediately saw the letter- an official looking envelope of heavy cream colored parchment.

“Well, well, well… what have we here?” Elsa muttered, eyeballing the otherwise innocuous white envelope- Miss Elsa Arendelle it was addressed to in stern typewriter’s font. 1450 West Snow Hill Drive, #237, New York NY, 00097 was addressed underneath her name, making her anxiety skyrocket for some unknown reason.

Elsa was shaking as she used her gloved thumbnail to peel the flap open and pulled out a single sheet of paper, the same font from the front of the envelope. Elsa took in the bolded header, which had STARK INDUSTRIES stamped in a simplistic stylist font.

Elsa eyeballed the cream colored letter envelope as she set her backpack onto the rickety chair next to the sisters’ shared chest of drawers. She continued to read, her hands trembling as her pale blue eyes took in the words that were scattered across the page. Elsa could literally feel her face losing all color as she closed her eyes, forcing herself to take a deep breath of air.

I should have been more careful, she scolded herself, thinking back to that day when she had interrupted a mugging between a pimply faced teenaged young man and a heavily pregnant woman.

Dear Miss Arendelle, the letter read.

Your unique abilities have recently come to the attention of the Avengers, as well as your current living situation. Mr. Stark would like to propose a simple deal: you come and work for the Avengers Initiative, and in return, you will get put onto the team’s medical insurance, which will cover all of your sister’s medical expenses- visits to her cardiologist, audiologist and her ear nose throat doctors, all her medications including her asthma inhaler and her pacemaker and any furture surgeries that she may require.

I’m also including my phone number in case you have any questions at all.
