An animation progression showcase for my short MCSM animation.

I wanted to show off some of the behind the scenes stuff because I want people to see how much work was put into it. All of the character work is 2D animated. Only the backgrounds were 3D. It took a lot of effort to fit the 2D characters in the 3D environments convincingly, and WAY more time rendering out the backgrounds than I’d like to admit 😂

Unfortunately due to the fact my iPad died halfway through the making of this short, I lost a LOT of the original pencil animations. This is the best I could put together with the files I had left. 😢

Progress

HELLO HELLO FRANS COMMUNITY!

I'm glad to announce the animation I am working on since 03/30/2023 is about 75 percent done.

I'm almost there. I just need a little help with some encouragement. Please help me reblog and like this post. If you can follow me as well that would be big motivation.

It's been a slow burn so let me know how many frans lovers are out there that would be excited for the finished project!

In the meantime, I'll post a few backgrounds I've have worked on just to show a snipbit of it.

I didn't post any frans yet because I'm saving best for last and I want a certain special creator to be proud of me once the project is done. So let's not alert them just yet. I hope I can finish it before the end of this month and hopefully it will not dissappoint.

Edit: Oh I know I've dissappeared for a while. OPS lol. But I'm back! Once this animation is done I'll be feeding you guys more frans. Trust.

I'm almost done with the animation. I drew too many frames this time, which means more frames to color. Personally, I feel this episode won't have the impact of my favorite one (0.6), but I consider it the prettiest animation I've made so far, at least in terms of the art.

I still wish there was a lasso tool in procreate dreams it would make coloring in layers under tracks easier especially for shaky hand havers (shaky hand hello!)

This’ll be the final animation for 2024 I’m so happy! I’ve been more productive in animating this year than the prior and I’ve learned so much from it too! I’ll be saving the rest of what I want to say tho for my reel release!
