Animation Meme?

Real question, serious question:

How does one get into animation-meme-making? Like, I've seen them, but I have no idea how they're done and mass replicated the way they are? With the same zooming in and out at the same beats and the same movements at the same time across animation memes and across fandoms?

How are you guys doing this? I want to get into this craft, but I am an outsider. Please, grant me wisdom and also software recs. (Keep in mind that I am mostly using an iPad and sometimes a laptop and also I am broke)

Currently using FlipaClip and sometimes Digicel Flippad for 2d animation for courses and fun, but I need guidance y'all

December 07th, 2023: November and December Doodley Review!

I haven't drawn nearly as much digitally as I did in October or September, but I've done a lot more in my sketchbook. I love watching the pages fill up!

I'm learning more about non-digital coloring with my Crayola markers and crayons lol and hopefully my sketchbooks will start to look pretty colorful from here on out! I can't wait to be able to flip back through this year's books like I did last year!

I don't usually post sketchbook pages, but I've really been enjoying a lot of the doodles I've been doing lately. I'm a big fan of drawing lines and shapes until you have a picture and it's been a lot of fun!

I've been doing a lot of new shapes and learning more about expression and style through trial and error! (A lot of error lol)

I've also been doodling new characters! And I discovered I draw a lot more freely on loose papers because they're not bound to my sketchbook, so I have a lot of loose leaf sketches now lol!

I decided to try drawing with my laptop trackpad on MS Paint, and I was super surprised with how fun that turned out to be!

All in all, I'm super happy with how my art has been progressing! Things that were harder last year at this time are way easier now!

I have plans for a cutesy comic in 2024 called The Adventures of Bean and Echo! (title still pending)

And I've also found a lot of help in sketching out animation stuff too! Just doing a line of keyframes for lil guys has been so fun, and I'm hoping to do my first walk cycle soon. (I've done bounces and leaps, melts and squishes, switches and hops, but never a walk)

Constantine huffed, but didn’t disagree. Bruce could only guess what he was thinking.

“At least, from what Clockwork taught me,” Phantom continued, and that made Constantine snap to attention, “ectoplasm is just kind of… There. Floating around in the background, but at such a low level that it doesn’t usually manifest. But it’s still there, and it functions kind of like radiation: just being around it might cause you to develop liminality.”

“Liminality?” Bruce asked. Phantom shrugged.

“Any side effects you would notice are only caused by high levels of exposure, nothing like this low-level radiation. But, well… Ectoplasm is both attracted to emotions and attracted by emotions. And ectoplasm heightens emotions, too. The fact that the human race has been alive so long, evolved to feel more complex emotions, it’s because the ectoplasm bonded enough with humanity to allow that. Humans achieved sentience because they could feel enough to determine they existed. Without ectoplasm, slowly those emotions will fade. And…” Phantom hesitated.

“…I can’t say that humanity will become nonsentient once again, not for sure. But I can say that you will slowly, generation by generation, lose the feelings you have now.”
