I feel like no one in the house is much more than a casual gamer, but Fourteen will occasionally pick a system out of That Box (you know, the cardboard one nearly every family has stashed in a closet or garage with all those out-of-date electronics) and fix it up. It started one day when he was bored and eyeballing the blender, and Donna found Rose’s old Nintendo DS in a drawer and told them there was a game on it where you could just play with cute dogs, if they could get it working. It keeps their hands busy, and it’s good fun for everyone when random old games get dusted off.

#i had it back on pc back in the day #and from what i remember #DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS #it pretty much is a lot like animal crossing #you move sims into your little town #you build them houses #you gather resources #and you can gather resources from like interactions with them #like making them angry will have them drop unique angry elements you can craft with #and the house building is honestly pretty fun #the game gives you complete freedom #so you can make some really creative or awful looking houses

Okay chat, are there any Switch-exclusive titles that are like, really REALLY worth investing in one, or would it be a better plan to save up for a Steamdeck if one wanted a portable gaming console?

#especially if one never really played any of the Classic nintendo titles #and therefore has absolutely no particular attachment to titles like pokemon animal crossing mario etc.#and thus has prefered pc gaming up until this point anyways #personal grumblings
