You know, Sonic, Metal brought up a really good point. Tails would be better off with Eggman.

Not only are you holding him back, but you put him in the middle of danger constantly. You're a teenage hedgehog trying to raise a fox cub. Why not let someone in the proper age bracket for this kind of thing do it?

Not only that but he has to dumb himself down to talk to you. Your little "talk tails out of it" idea wouldnt work once he's had time to interact with Eggman normally. A genuine conversation without having to explain things that are outright obvious. Actually getting feedback and constructive criticism.

If Tails spend enough time with Eggman, he would never want you back over what eggman could be for him.

After all, the grass is greener on the other side.

Please, explain to me, how would Tails be better with someone who is constantly trying to harm his specie? Tails is empathetic. Tails is full of love. I'm 100% sure he'd feel uncomfortable when seeing all the shit Eggman does, and when, most likely, being forced to do it.

I am not holding back my little brother. I'm always trying to exploit his natural talent somehow. Have you not seen the amount of technology he has built? Of course, it was not thanks to me, but whenever he needed me, I was there to support him.

The constant danger is not my fault, is Eggman's. Either way if, hypothetically, I would've never met Tails he would've still be in danger because, again, Eggman.

I strongly believe age is not the only requirement for raising someone. You need to be compassionate, patient, loving and caring. I believe Eggman lacks those traits, and yes, I may not be perfect, but I have seen enough, you know? I've also lived, learned and grown.

If I'm mature enough to take care of myself, why am I not mature enough to take of someone else?

And sometimes it's the opposite way. I think Tails has taught me more lessons that I've taught him. I'm so proud of him, and all the shit you're saying is none sense.

He has grown so much but because your blindness towards Eggman you're not capable of seeing it.

My little brother is not wasting his potential, no, it's actually quite the opposite. With all he's done for the world, and all he has left to give, he's done more than enough. And I will never get tired of saying how proud I am of him.

Sure… It's not like I'm one of the most read Perryshmirtz writers on AO3, seriously dude, it's more insane and pathetic that you come here to pick on a work that according to you, no one cares about.

And I don't know about you, but a lot of people would love to have that ability to create content and material of their own story, that just says how wonderfully dedicated she is to her baby and anyone with that adoration for her work would do the same or more, so seriously. Shut up.

I continue to be baffled by the occasional posts I see from people ranting about things like "how can you even think to adapt Sonic Adventure 2 without Rouge or Amy?" and "I hope they do justice to [any number of things from SA2] when they adapt it!" and all I can think is...why do you think it's going to be an adaptation of SA2? Just because Shadow is in it?

The first movie was not an adaptation of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. The second movie was not an adaptation of Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The Knuckles miniseries was not an adaptation of Sonic & Knuckles.

The third movie is going to be its own thing that draws on the games for inspiration. That's it.
