On This Day In Royal History . 17 March 1040 . King Harold I died . 👑 Harold I (born c.1016), also known as Harold Harefoot, was King of England from 1035 to 1040. . ◼ Harold’s nickname “Harefoot” is believed to refer to his speed, and the skill of his huntsmanship. Though it is not recorded before the late Middle Ages, it is probably contemporary. . ◼ The son of Cnut the Great & Ælfgifu of Northampton, Harold was elected regent of England, following the death of his father in 1035. He was initially ruling England in place of his brother Harthacnut, who was stuck in Denmark due to a rebellion in Norway, which had ousted their brother Svein. . ◼ Although Harold had wished to be crowned king since 1035, Æthelnoth, Archbishop of Canterbury, refused to do so. It was not until 1037 that Harold, supported by earl Leofric & many others, was officially proclaimed king. The same year Harold’s two step-brothers Edward & Alfred returned to England with a considerable military force, Alfred was captured by earl Godwin who had him seized & delivered to an escort of men loyal to Harefoot. While en-route to Ely he was blinded & soon after died of his wounds. . ◼ Harold died in 1040, having ruled just five years, his brother Harthacnut soon returned & took hold of the kingdom peacefully. Harold was originally buried in Westminster but Harthacnut had his body dragged up & thrown into a “fen” (sewer), & then thrown into the river Thames, but was after a short time picked up by a fisherman, being immediately taken to the Danes, was honourably buried by them in their cemetery at London. .

🌠I enjoyed Vikings on History channel. In the show we know they were at war with the Anglo-Saxons but what they don't tell you is that often times the Vikings were backed by the pope and the Normans simultaneously in their invasions of England (Ængle-land)! 🔥⚡👽🌟🦋👑🌷 In this image you can see Duke Guillaume (William) and King Harold (left). Guillaume or William was a Norman. The Normans are a product of greedy, ravenous Viking invasions of Paris. 🔥⚡👽🌟🦋👑🌷 The Saxons go back to the mysterious Friesland (Atlantis) and further to Denmark. They are the product long respected Pagan traditions. They are the reason for all the Germanic words in the English language. Guillaume couldn't even speak English and demanded the throne. 💜🗽💜🎿💜❄️💜🦌 After Harold was set up and martyred Guillaume added 7,000+ French words to the English language. England hasn't had a Royal family in England who was not a descendant of the Normans. The Saxons were similar to the Vikings really. The Angles and Saxons are the Dutch today. The origins of Angels is as you may guessed: Angels, messengers from the Divine. 🔭🌠💜👽✨ I am still trying to rebuild all my jewelry & art that was stolen. I am looking for a quality SPIRITUAL STORE or ART GALLERY to sell my jewelry. I am a rare, tireless entertainer, salesperson and psychic. Spirit & Truth on What makes England Great. The Normans were a creation of Viking and French intermarriage when the Vikings invaded Paris. So yes, Vikings and Pagans, they were half Viking, which is interesting. But the Saxons were of Danish and Germanic decent, formed naturally, possibly for spiritual reasons over the course of time (today represented by the Dutch). When the Normans took over England they added 7,500 French words removing many Anglo Saxon/ German words. By the way it is likely that Thor was worshipped by the Saxons and Germans first. The Saxons may have used the runes first too, as some finds date back to 200 CE. That's 400 years before Scandinavian finds. When I ask the Runes about this last theory the Gods dissagree. My intution and science may fail me but the Runes in recent years are always accurate. King Harold Godwinson, a Saxon Saint, on October save the date! Remember, be incredible at what you do, but don't let Machiavellis write your history, take charge of it! "The secrets I share and talismans, clothing that I make are the starlights to lead you to immortality and freedom! I have taught classes at the Edgar Cayce & Meta Centers for many years! I'm here to share the best of what I know! If you'd like to learn about the Runes or Egyptian numerology it's FREE if you've read this!" -Skydin I am looking for a quality SPIRITUAL STORE or ART GALLERY to sell my jewelry.
