“You’re much too pretty to be out here on your lonesome crying.” Anghel sits on his knees, skirt rumpled and hair messy, on the cold grass. It itches, scratching against the skin of his knees. He gasps when he hears the voice and jerks his head up.

Through the night’s darkness he blinks away from his vision, he sees one of the gala performers. Furiously wiping tears away with the flats of his palms, Anghel recollects himself quicker than he ever has before. 

“It’s...been...a hard night,” Anghel has no idea why, but he finds himself compelled to for once in his life be just a bit open about his problems. “A very hard night.” And who better to vent to than a handsome stranger.

Said handsome stranger kneels in front of him and fixes Anghel with a captivating smile. “It’s still young, though, and I have time to listen. For our ears only, I promise you.”

Anghel stares at him blankly, utterly baffled.

i cannot grasp how hatoful boyfriend is such an important game to me man, the subject of grieving over your lost loved ones is touched very well and i can see its one of the main game themes, hits very well

i lost my grandma just a few days ago but i knew she'd die anyway, before that i finally got to finish holiday star and christ this scene broke me so much

i know its also mainly fear of abandonment centric but it really hits with losing loved ones in death too, this game genuinely broke me a lot through the course and how it is literally a game for grieving people considering there are many death related motives like holiday star as a whole, kazuaki kun/hitori and nageki, along with ryoutas fear of abandonment

this game means a lot to me, its stupid but i cannot properly grieve without replaying this scene in my head
