Sweet and Tangy (fanfic, 419 WC)

Susie is outside her house, setting up a new lemonade stand. The sun is bright, and the air is filled with the sweet scent of fresh lemonade. The babies, Tommy and Chuckie, are laughing and playing nearby, their joy infectious.

"I need another 'lemonlade,'" Tommy announces.

"I need another cookie!" Chuckie says.

All the kids laugh, their giggles mingling with the sounds of the neighborhood.

"Hey, Angelica!" Susie greets, "Lemonade?"

Angelica, who has been watching from behind a tree, steps out, her curiosity piqued. She approaches the lemonade stand, her expression a mix of skepticism and amusement.

"All right."

Susie hands her a glass of lemonade with a smile. Angelica takes it, holding out a dime for payment. Susie, however, doesn't take it.

Susie: "Uh, this one's on me."

Lil, who has been watching the interaction, chimes in with a mischievous grin. "And this one's on Phillip!"

She pours a bit of lemonade on Phil's head, and the kids burst into laughter again.

Angelica frowns, "Well, I gotta pay you somehow. That's how Lemonade Stand works."

Susie thinks for a moment, her mind racing. Then, she remembers hearing about a recent school event at the high school. "Well, my sister Alisa did a kissing booth at her school. How 'bout you pay that way?"

Angelica raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "So I just gotta kiss you, and then I get a lemonade?"

Susie nods, smiling confidently. "Yep."

Angelica considers it for a moment, then shrugs, a small smile playing on her lips. She leans in, and the two share a quick, playful kiss. The kiss is light and brief, but there's a spark of mischief in the air. Susie's cheeks flush slightly, and Angelica's eyes twinkle with a mix of amusement and satisfaction.

The babies watch in wide-eyed amazement, their laughter turning into a chorus of "Ewwwww!"

"There you go. Enjoy your lemonade, Angelica."

Angelica takes a sip, a satisfied smile on her face. She savors the sweet and tangy flavor, her eyes never leaving Susie's. "You know, this lemonade is really good. I think I'll buy another one after I finish this one."

Susie grins. "Deal. I'll have it ready for you."

Angelica winks at Susie and walks away, the lemonade in hand. The babies continue to laugh and play, the lemonade stand a hub of fun and mischief. Susie smiles, feeling a sense of accomplishment and a bit of playful pride. After all, it's Mischief Night, and sometimes, a little bit of fun is just what everyone needs.

Untitled Rugrats Fic

Susie bids her family goodbye and runs into a blonde girl sitting on a purple suitcase and smoking a cigarette.

“My bad. I didn’t see you. My name’s Susie Carmichael.”

The blonde stares at her a moment before nodding, “Angelica. Pickles.”

Susie hears a near howl from behind and then notices the cat carrier. “Oh, you have a cat! What’s its name?”

“Fluffy.”

“That’s cute,” she answers honestly. “Do you need any help moving in? Or taking Fluffy to the Care Center?”

Angelica finally stands and stubs her cigarette into the hand railing. She hands Susie a bag then grabs her suitcase and cat carrier.

“Follow me.”

Angelica leads Susie into A3 and walks past the rooms already claimed – the first on the left is Melanie’s, and the first on the right is Susie’s – and into the next to the right. Angelica immediately pulls out a well-worn doll with straggly strands of blonde hair and a stained orange dress, placing it on the shelf beside the bed.

“Special doll?”

Angelica searches Susie’s face for any source of the derivative tone. Finding none, she relaxes minutely. She motions for Susie to shut the door, and she sets her cat free. Fluffy instantly jumps onto the bed and nuzzles her owner.

“Her name’s Cynthia, and I’ve had her for seventeen years now.”
