I'm kinda pissed at strictlys results tonight like I get that Angela rippon is a tv icon but adam is a better dancer at least he was on Saturday

Honestly I've seen this kind of thing throughout the series where the judges just score angela really high despite her dances not being that great and it feels a little unfair

okay but with new FB info coming out about the next season, like, I'm very excited for so many things but I shall compose a list, in no particular order

the return of Eddie Devine. he did not have a good introduction - not because of writing quality, he was just a little shit - but he seemed to ease up on Sullivan at the end, so I'm excited to see him again, hopefully some bonding, and some Eddie redemption

Sullivan's parents. so exciting. his father is in two eps and his mother in one, by the looks?? I'm excited to see the dynamic, not just because this man and his parents, but Mrs D with them, how Brenda will act around a presumably retired copper, all sorts

Mrs Goodfellow has a name now? after all this years?? I'm excited to meet Violet, for her to have lines, a personality, I'm ready you know, it's been a long time coming

i knew what the outcome was going to be before either of them danced, but to me it looked like angela made a couple of mistakes and krishnan didn’t. i would have voted for krishnan

"But Layton has dance experience" so does Ellie. So does Angela Scanlon. Nigel also worked in the West End. Angela Rippon did ballet. None of them have ballroom experience, and that's what matters. So many of the contestants this year had some form of dance experience, but yous only care when it's a mixed-race gay man and it fucking shows

Okay so usually I love the Halloween episodes of Strictly but this one just felt off?

Not just in judging but costumes/make up too, Vikki Gill and her team are normally fab but there were choices. Krishnan looked like they couldn't decide if he was a werewolf or a vampire but he was meant to be Dr Jekyll? (I thought Lauren looked out of Sweeny Todd) Angela looked like a younger version of herself not Angela Lansbury from Murder, She Wrote. That bright shade of green they used for Vito and Ellie read more Shrek than zombies.

The judging too, I thought Adam should've been further up the leaderboard. Angela Rippon always seems to be over marked, I get she hosted the show Strictly is based on but she wasn't as good as the marks she got. They told Ellie she was the dance of the night but all I could think of was Vito was doing what Anton used to - putting himself front and centre and moving his partner around rather than have them dance the whole time.

I did appreciate Shirley getting told off by Craig for trying to ding Leighton (they were the dance of the night to me). It felt like she took it out on other dancers though like Nigel who done well when she kept saying well if I done it for one.
