I made these as a way to compile all the geographical vocabulary that I thought was useful and interesting for writers. Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!

Kaiju No. 8 episodes 6-12

I enjoyed this series a lot. It felt like it went by way too fast, so I can't wait for more. I am still glad that I binged the series because some of those episode cliffhangers were so cruel!

This is a great one if you like a collection of characters in show. Everyone had their own moments and grew into a great team with plenty more development left to do. I also appreciated how teamwork, knowledge and information sharing was considered as vital to victory as being physically powerful.

The main cast are extremely likeable, which adds to the emotional engagement with the show when any of them are in peril. The overall action was great too and they didn't hold back on injuries and monster gore.

I'm looking forward to this show returning and may pick up the manga in the meantime.

Gosh I knew I was going to like Hoshina but not this much, I haven't even seen him in action yet. He's so ridiculously unserious at times yet also undeniably sharp and perceptive. A really approachable personality but I'll bet that he's terrifying when he's on the opposing side.

Kaiju No. 8 episodes 1-5

I'm actually a little glad to be binging this because the episodes feel so short. That's probably also a sign of how much I'm enjoying it though.

I like having a lead character in their 30s, though that Kafka is being called an old man at 32 stings 33 year old me a little. Being a similar age to him does make him feel especially relatable, not only in terms of following your dreams but also in the extra bit of protectiveness towards younger team members. I was additionally excited to watch him make use of his teamwork experience and kaiju anatomy expertise in the exam.

The action has been great so far and I expect that there's much more to come.

I'm not sure if their open suspicions about Glen are a clear red herring or the show simply refusing to be subtle. I think Shelley's realisation about giving the dark god relics human form was that they're reviving or possessing people instead.

Speaking of possession, I'm glad that the creep got an Alina gut punch one way or another. I'm also pleased that Alina spoke up about wanting Jade to be his usual self - she didn't quite admit that she missed him but I'll take it.

Now that Uka is starting to show more outward strength and confidence, it looks like it's time to slide attention over to Kai. There have been hints so far that he has burdens and I was getting worried about him sleeping all the time - also his phone apparently taking a leap out the window at home. Interesting actually that the teacher appears to be lenient about the sleeping in class, which suggests that he knows what's going on. There's definitely more to it than Kai just having a part time job. I expect that it won't be a mystery much longer though and Uka will have an opportunity to return some of the help and support he has given her so far.
