Finally getting this posted! Just like their girl the chapters will probably get longer as the series continues.

The ministry headquarters buzzed with the noise of people talking and floo powdering in. There were a few buzzes from people taking other ways in like the telephone booth you had taken in. You caught glimpses of stray wands on the floor being hurriedly picked up by witches or wizards. You spotted more recently graduated students going in and out of the classification center. Meanwhile you were sitting on a bench near the fireplaces, your trunk tucked under the chair. Your broom was being stored on top of it and your wand was in your robe.

You had been waiting anxiously since you were classified. The process had been a magical one which hadn’t surprised you. At this point you expected most things to be magical despite having grown up in a fully muggle household. You held the piece of parchment in your hands tightly. The word ‘little’ was written across it in black cursive and then your assigned magical family. The Blacks. You had practically memorized the information on the 3 sisters you would be staying with. Bellatrix (the eldest) was a caregiver and as was Narcissa (the middle) and Andromeda the youngest was a little.

She had been in Hogwarts with you but you didn’t know her very well. You were in Ravenclaw and she was a slytherin so classes were one of the only times you two interacted if at all. You hear a sharp clicking of heels and a small “Oh here she is Bellatrix” the woman said and your head snaps up. You see a woman with platinum blonde hair with bright blue eyes and she gives a formal smile. “Hello Madam Black” you say quietly and her smile softens slightly. Next a woman with wild curly black hair comes shorter than the blonde woman. She’s holding hands with a girl who looks about your age who has brown hair.

You figure the brown haired girl is Andromeda and the black haired woman is Bellatrix meaning this blonde woman is Narcissa. “Hi!” Andromeda happily says. She waves and you smile “hi Andromeda” Bellatrix tsks softly at you. “Even if she is the same age with your magical family it’s miss Black for her.” You nod feeling like you’ve started on the wrong foot with her. 

“Yes Madam Black” you say quietly while Narcissa rolls her eyes a little. “You can call me Andy! Or ‘meda!” Andromeda said cheerfully and you nod slowly feeling slightly stuck. “She’s given you permission so now you may” Bellatrix said and then she caught a glimpse of your broom and her face softened. “Did you play Quidditch?” She asks while Narcissa goes to double check everything with the classification center. “Yes ma’am. Seeker” you reply and she nods approvingly “I was captain for 3 years. Seeker too” her tone is somewhat haughty. You feel a small sense of relief as if you might have been able to reverse the bad impression. 

“Andy don’t wander off” Bellatrix warned right as Andromeda went to walk off  and you blink. She was perceptive of everything going on which made you a little on edge. Narcissa came up with a small smile “Everything’s in order” She told Bellatrix who nodded a bit of tension in her shoulders being released. “C’mon little one” Narcissa said to you her smile growing a little warmer and you blink slowly at the nickname. You stand up and Bellatrix casts a levitation spell on your stuff “Thank you ma’am” you tell her and she nods and the 3 Blacks begin to walk to a floo fireplace. “You can go in between Bellatrix and I” Narcissa said lightly, putting a hand on the top of your back. Andromeda went first and seemingly had no issue and Narcissa followed. You stepped forward “I’ll bring your stuff” Bellatrix reassures and you nod dropping the powder “Black Manor” you state just like Narcissa had.

You arrive at the Black house in a puff of smoke and stumble out of the fireplace. You cough violently and Narcissa steadies you “there you go. Not used to floo powder hmm?” She said with an amused smile. “We didn’t use it very often in Hogwarts” you protest attempting to defend yourself. She simply smiles and Bellatrix arrives with your trunk and broom. She brings them out and walks over and brushes some ash off of Andromeda's face with her thumb. You quickly wipe your own off not wanting them to see you while messy.

Narcissa glances at you “Would you like to go on a tour of the manor?” She asks and you nod figuring the house was pretty big. Even this main room was bigger than the Ravenclaw tower as a whole. She leads you through the manor and points out a few notable rooms such as her and Bellatrix's bedrooms. She then leads you to the library which is humongous and your eyes go as wide as saucers. “The library becomes closed at 11 unless you have mine or Bellatrix’s permission for afterwards understood? And any books past the  10th shelf must be brought to her or myself before you read them.” You nod not even minding the restrictions of it meant you had even some access to this library. 

The next room is the observatory “it’s the middle of the day” you point out and  Narcissa simply gives you a close lipped smile.  She waves her wand and the room darkens and images of the constellations appear and shift. You crane your neck up in amazement spinning slowly in spot to examine the different constellations “this is…beautiful. Why didn’t Hogwarts have this?” you question her remembering the countless days where you were exhausted from staying up late to see the stars. Narcissas smile tightened “I don’t know darling” she waves for you to follow and you walk behind her up the flight of stairs. “Here” she points “is Bella's bedroom. To the right is Andys and on the other side of hers is my own. The other bedrooms remain unoccupied so you may pick whichever you wish.” 

You walk up to the first door next to hers and open it to see a sparsely decorated bedroom with black walls. You turn back around “is there really any difference between the rooms?” You question expecting to see the same soulless decorations and walls in all of them. “Not particularly. Of course you can decorate how you wish.” You point at the first door “can I have this one then please?” Narcissa nods and you give her a grateful look “thank you.”

Bellatrix comes up tapping her sister's shoulder and they have a hushed conversation while you take a second look at your new room. It was certainly…different from the room you had gotten used to at Hogwarts and very different from your childhood home. Considering the rumors you had heard about the Black family it made sense in an odd way. You push away the thoughts about the rumors wanting to look at them without prejudice. 

Narcissa walked off with a strict gait and you felt a shiver go down your spine. Bellatrix glanced at you “you’re free to visit the rooms Narcissa showed you or roam if you keep some common sense intact” she followed Narcissa without another word. You watch them both retreat but opt to go into your admittedly not comforting room. You lay down on the bed and you were shocked no dust came off. Exhaustion from the long emotionally exhausting day settled deep into your bones. Your thoughts wandered to what staying here would be like and how you could get your life back onto the carefully set path you had arranged. As they wandered you began to slowly drift to sleep in the almost silent manor.

Cancelled media:

Princess Academy — a short film that would include all the female characters from Disney and Pixar, according to the fandom wiki, "interacting with each other, singing, dancing and enjoying each other's company in a royal boarding school". Jessie and Bo Peep were included in concept arts and the songs would be composed by Alan Menken. But the short film was cancelled due to Disney firing most of their 2D animators and closing it's 2D studio in march 2013. (I'm so pissed I would have LOVED to see this)

Toy Story Wonderbook — A cancelled Toy Story game from 2013. There are concept arts, the creators wanted to have the characters in a paper toy style like in a storybook and they would be in tons of different adventure scenarios. According to David Hamblin on the website Artstation, (an artist involved in the project): "Unfortunately with the coming of Playstation 4 and PSVR Wonderbook as a platform was no longer a priority".

Some highlights from the Director/Writer Commentary of The Return of the King with Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens, and Fran Walsh:

As they mentioned in TTT, they were originally going to put the Smeagol vs. Deagol fight as a flashback during the Dead Marshes. Before they decided to use it to open RotK, their placeholder idea for a scene to open RotK was to do a sped-up helicopter shot from the Paths of the Dead, across the plains of Edoras, to the Golden Hall where Aragorn wakes up from a nightmare (and then goes and talks to Eowyn). Very glad they went the direction they did!

In the final shot they used when Smeagol takes the Ring out of Deagol's hand, the actor playing Deagol actually blinked, but they liked Andy Serkis' performance so much, they had Weta go in and freeze Deagol's eyes so they could use the shot XD

You know, I forget sometimes that they didn't even have Saruman in the theatrical cut at all. Boggles the mind.

In the scene where Aragorn comes out of the Golden Hall and goes to stand next to Legolas, who's looking out at the night...Viggo and Orlando weren't in the country at the same time, so they shot them separately and then put them together @_@

You know, I never thought about this before, but when Gandalf touches Pippin's face, they had to make sure his hands looked extra big! So they used an actor called Big Paul, who had the biggest hands they could find, and Ian McKellen directed him for how to move his hands in the shot XD And Big Paul is the Rohan guard who gets shoved aside when Merry and Aragorn rush up to the top of the wall to watch Gandalf and Pippin leave!

THEY SHOT A SCENE OF LEGOLAS TALKING TO TREEBEARD ABOUT THE ELVES LEAVING MIDDLE-EARTH?!?!?!?!?!?! :O Originally, it was going to link the Isengard scenes to the scene of Arwen and the other Rivendell Elves going through the forest, but then because of all the Edoras stuff in between, the connection was lost. They also said something about Legolas reciting a poem! And joked again about putting it into the 25th anniversary edition. THAT TIME IS COMING UP, PETER JACKSON!!!! I WANNA SEE THIS SCENE!!!!!!

They talked about a "library scene" during the whole sequence where Arwen goes back to Rivendell and confronts Elrond about how he saw her son, etc. They wouldn't say what happened in the "library scene," but talked about how they should include that in the 25th anniversary edition too. a;ldkfjs;dkfljsd;kfljdslfk

The people on set who had a crush on Sean Bean were called "Beanstalkers"! XD That's the best; every fan to this day ought to call themselves that!

Similarly to the scene with Legolas and Aragorn, the little bit with Legolas and Gimli as everyone's getting ready to leave Edoras was filmed separately because Orlando and John weren't in the country at the same time. So they filmed Legolas' shots with Brett, John's scale double, then filmed John's shots later, filming both of them against greenscreen. Then they took some unused footage from the Edoras set and put it in the background. It just boggles my mind how many of these cobbled-together scenes there are, because it feels so much like all the characters are together in the real location!

RED ALERT RED ALERT THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!! They mentioned Beregond!!!! 8D When talking about why they put in the scene where Pippin and Faramir talk (when Faramir says the uniform Pippin's wearing was made for him when he was a child), in order to forge the connection between them that will ultimately lead to Pippin saving Faramir's life, they talked briefly about Beregond! They describe him taking Pippin under his wing, showing him about the city, and called the relationship between them "quite sweet" :3

Another little connection between Pippin and Faramir I don't think I've ever thought about before, that apparently Billy Boyd thought about when doing these scenes, is that Pippin is the only son of the Thain of the Shire, so there may have been a certain amount of pressure and expectation on him. Obviously, he's so young and probably didn't spend too much time worrying about that while scampering about the Shire, but maybe that's something he thinks about while watching the way Faramir and Denethor interact. Maybe a contrast to the way he would interact with his own father, maybe a reminder of the way he would be scolded? Hard to say, but it's interesting to think about.

Uuuuuuughghghg, so frustrating to listen to them talking about the scene on the steps where Frodo sends Sam away DX No matter how many times and how many different ways they explain why they did it, the explanations never quite make sense to me. "We needed there to be more tension." WHY WAS IT NOT TENSE ENOUGH THAT THEY WERE GOING INTO THE LAIR OF A HUGE EVIL SPIDER?! "There wasn't really anything happening on the steps otherwise." YEAH, BECAUSE YOU PUT THE WHOLE CONVERSATION ABOUT STORIES IN THE PREVIOUS MOVIE! Also, why not just cut from one or two shots of them climbing this awful staircase to a shot of them entering the cave? "There needed to be a payoff for Gollum's scheming." WHY WAS GOLLUM BETRAYING THEM TO SHELOB NOT ENOUGH OF A PAYOFF?! "We knew InStInCtIvElY that Frodo needed to enter the cave alone." WHY? WHY?! I've never understood that. They get separated eventually in the book, so why not just ramp up the tension of that in the movie, instead of making the characters so OOC? "We knew it would shock readers of the book, and if we'd changed that, what else might we have changed?" You know...I really, really love these movies, and I appreciate what these three were able to accomplish so much...but sometimes I kind of hate them too -_-

The horses didn't want to walk down the hill on the cobbled streets of Minas Tirith, because their steel shoes were so slippery on the stones. So they all had to be re-shod with rubber shoes. What were horseshoes made of back in ye olden days, though? Iron? Did people run into the same problems back then?

I never really noticed this before, but Aragorn never wears Anduril on his belt! He straps it to his horse, and every time you see him with it, he's just holding the naked blade. This is because they made Anduril so long it was really hard for him to wear it from his belt or to pull it out of the scabbard in a natural way XD

The aerial shot of all the Rohirrim leaving Dunharrow was originally shot to show Gandalf's cart heading into the Shire, but since they didn't use it for that, they repurposed it for RotK!

To get Elijah Wood to foam at the mouth when he's stung by Shelob, they gave him two Alka-Seltzer tablets to put in his mouth and work up some foam with his saliva. I've always wondered how they do that sort of thing in movies, but no one's bothered to explain until now....

Sean Astin's audition scene was holding Frodo after Shelob ;A; Apparently, they (or at least Philippa Boyens) were a little skeptical that an American actor would be able to do Sam's character right, but actually a lot of the English actors who auditioned for the role had a hard time with the Shelob aftermath scene, but Sean nailed it :')

Other than the close-ups, they used a dummy for Faramir on the pyre most of the time. Now I'm just imagining John Noble crouching on top of the pyre, cradling a dummy XD

The first Orc that Aragorn kills on Pelennor fields is played by his son Henry! XD

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME. They actually filmed Sam pushing past the sort of psychic barrier of the Watchers at the gate of Cirith Ungol, but they didn't put it into the extended edition! I love that part. Like...I'm not even sure why, but I've always thought that was such a cool little detail, and I've always been a bit bummed it wasn't in the movie, though I was thrilled to see the actual Watchers at least there as a sort of homage. And all along, they'd actually filmed something for that after all and I never knew! :O

You know, I never thought about it before, but it makes sense that they had to replace the sky digitally in a lot of scenes in Mordor, because of course when they filmed it, the sky wasn't always completely cloudy, but Mordor needs to have a complete cloud cover at all times.

When Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens first saw the footage of Sam carrying Frodo up Mt. Doom, they sent a fax (lolol 1999/2000 technology) to Sean and Elijah. They made the first page look all formal and official, and then on the second page it just said, "You made us cry." :')

Andy Serkis refused to have Gollum stand on two feet until the scene in the Crack of Doom. There were a few times that PJ directed him to lurch onto his feet or something, but Andy wouldn't do it. He wanted to show the difference in Gollum physically when he has the Ring again. What a cool detail!

Originally, the whole part where Frodo's hanging off the ledge and Sam is begging him to reach for him happens after the Ring is destroyed. It's really interesting to consider the slight nuances of how different that would be. The final version makes it almost seem like the Ring is still calling to Frodo, like he wants to fall into the lava and join it, whereas originally it was more like "I've lost the Ring and now I have nothing left to live for."

PJ made a sweet comment in the scene where everyone bows to the four hobbits: "This is a moment where there's always a huge sniffle in the audience when the movie's going, and it's usually me." XD

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! They shot scenes of what happens to the other characters when the hobbits return to the Shire! There is footage out there somewhere of what Legolas and Gimli do, what happens with Faramir and Eowyn!!!! ;aldkfjsd;fkldslfkjd 25th anniversary edition LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Mer enrichment

The pair are given puzzles to solve for enrichment, they have to figure out how to open the flap that holds a piece of salmon or, on the harder puzzles, a small piece of scallop. They got taken away for a bit bc dream tried smashing the puzzle with a rock to get to the treats and sapnap was sat back just watching this go down.

They also have no concept of slight of hand so when a guest comes up to dream and makes a playing card disappear he is S H O O K and drags sapnap out of the burrow to see this witchcraft.

They stay at the glass for like half an hour watching this dude make various things disappear and reappear and they're in awe the whole time it's also the longest sapnap has been out of the burrow so there are lots of pictures and videos being taken of them.

Andy: To be honest, that's a rather clever use of a tool to more efficiently achieve a result.

It's been observed before in wild mer species so it makes sense a wild rescue would do it too, like smashing open clams or snails and other crustaceans to get to the meat inside so Dream just used what he was taught to get to the good stuff easily. Hello o/

I’ve been offline since I’m in school and I have a job but because there are so many new people here I just wanted to hit a quick introduction for those who don’t really know me too well and to also say thank you all so so so much for all your support the past couple of days. I have read so many lovely messages from you guys and it truly means the world to me to feel seen, heard, understood and supported.

So I want to start off by saying hi! My name is Andrea, but online I go by Andi. I used to be a content creator on tiktok and twitch from 2020-2022. At the end of 2022 I decided to remove myself from the content scene for personal reasons. And now I’m pursuing a career in esthetics, which is something I am extremely passionate about!

I originally created this blog as a sort of safe space for myself outside of twitter and now I just kind of use it to post life updates and stuff. But, I still want this to be a safe space for me to just kind of yap about my life into the void sometimes. I wanna make it very clear that I am not interested in creating content or promoting anything so if you’re here for someone to stan, I am sorry to disappoint. Sometimes I disappear for weeks at a time and sometimes I’m super active. Most of the time people come here looking for advice, which is really nice, because I love helping other people navigate through their experiences and emotions. But, I don’t have the strength it takes to be a therapist or psychologist so I just post here!

I will note that my boyfriend, Danny, is a youtuber. He is incredibly talented and I am so so so proud of him! Because I want to support him in his career, I will appear in his videos occasionally. But, again, that is his career and his thing, not mine. I want to give him a quick shoutout for being my rock throughout the last few weeks. It has been incredibly tough to navigate and he has handled the situation and me with such grace, patience, and respect. So yeah I love my bf and I wanted an excuse to gush about him for a sec while clarifying that just because I am in his content, doesn’t mean I want to create content myself.

I also really don’t want my experiences and my relationship to that community to define who I am now. Again, I have almost entirely removed myself from that space. And I am very happy I did. I think the environment as a whole was not conducive to the happiness and mental stability of most creators. I truly, genuinely hope that everyone gets the help they need to lead genuine, productive, and fulfilling lives. I have said before that I am in a much better and happier place now. I’ve been in therapy for a little over two years, and I’m very proud of myself for how far I’ve come in my healing process in this time. I also am incredibly lucky to be surrounded by amazing people who love and care about me. In the future I’ll probably talk about my mental health more openly, but I don’t feel that now is that time.

To anyone who needs to hear it: It gets better, I promise. Shit happens, and even when it feels like you have nothing ahead of you, the universe proves you wrong.

I’ve hit 3000 followers!!!

Now if you remember a while ago I asked how you guys would like to celebrate and this is what I’ve come up with! If you remember my 2.5k Followers Writing Challenge and Exchange its kinda similar to that but I’ve made some improvements!

What is going to happen is I am going to open up my askbox/dms for requests!

To make this manageable and allow me to complete as many as possible I will only be accepting requests in these following forms:

What's the origin of your blog's title?

It is the same as my bungo username and the reason for that is simple! Back when Bungie gave players a free name change, I decided it would be funny to name myself this due to the downright stupid amount of times that Taniks (or some form of Taniks, cough cough nightmare Taniks cough cough) has been brought back only for the guardians to get him again.

Favorite Fandoms:

Off the top of my head, I’d have to say Destiny, Transformers, The Dragon Prince, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and damn near everything Andy Weir has written(The Martian, my beloved. Along with Project Hail Mary, currently reading Artemis)

I’ve always wanted to be a video game developer, especially in regards to narrative. That’s mainly due to the fact of what the narrative team at Bungie have created, like how was I supposed to read ‘Hope is a currency. It buys tomorrow. It gives us what we need to survive today.’ And not go insane thinking about it. I’ve always wanted to create something like that for other gamers.

I’m a firm believer that everyone needs at least a little bit of each love language. Of course, it varies in volume and from whom you are receiving it from. I think my the biggest one I like getting is physical touch! I love hugs, give me all of the hugs.

Favorite movie is definitely a tie between Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and Across The Spider-Verse. My favorite show might have to be Young Justice! Either that or Arcane, or Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. It’s hard to choose!

Easily my dad’s smoked steak, I swear each and every time I take a bite into that stuff, it’s like I’m tasting heaven itself.

🫂- how does your f/o feel about physical touch? what's their favorite kind?

SEVERUS: okay so Sev notably detests physical touch with anyone outside of those close to him (me LOL); he's a germaphobe to a pretty big extent (stems from his undiagnosed OCD and neurodiversity). he hates seeing PDA occur, and he only is comfortable with very subtle PDA from me. touching the hem of his sleeves and stuff like that is okay, fingers hooking together under a table is fine, but he's against anything further in public. HOWEVER. behind closed doors? he's a hugger and he has to put up with the fact that i LURV being COVERED by him like if there's a couch and i'm on it? he's laying ON ME. just chilling. he finds a lot of solace in gentle touch, particularly on his back and face.

JOEL: at first, if he doesn't know you, Joel doesn't want you touching him at all. but if you're close, he's fine with pats on the back or high fives or handshakes. as for adrienne (my tlou self insert), he is the one doing most of the touching --- hip grabbing, arms around her waist from behind, ruffling her hair, grabbing her hand. he's pro-PDA because he's a possessive little asshole and likes for people to know what's his. Joel is welcome to pretty much any kind of touch behind closed doors!

FABIAN: Fabian is used to physical touch; since he's the boss of a prestigious hotel, he's comfortable with handshakes, back pats, other casual forms of touch. when it comes to andie (my white lotus self insert), he's against PDA because of their situation (co-workers). however, when they're alone, he LOVES hand holding. he always grabs andie's hand if they're watching something, or he's driving her somewhere. he also loves when she touches his thigh while he's playing piano.
