        now  that  the  political  talks  had begun, there was little for sebastian to occupy his time with when he wasn't guarding alexia. he could train but that only filled a few hours of the day. not that he wanted to be involved in any of the discussions, happy to leave that to the king and his older brother if the vassals were called upon, but he didn't like sitting around either. he glanced over at his friend.   ❝ and now we wait, i suppose. ❞   he sighed, hoping andar might have some idea what else they could do.

Im jonsa curious sometimes although i go back and forth on if it could happen or not, but if it was never a thing in grrms mind one thing that is wild to me is telling us that sansa was ‘wildly in love with waymar royce’ whose first chapter is literally to forshadow Jon like why even make that a point at all in affc when in agot sansa thinks of the royces she never mentions that crush interestingly enough

yeah so the sansa-royce connection is interesting and feels a bit purposeful to me!

For one thing, Sansa's chapter at the tourney is really focused in on how the Royces do - she recognizes and follows Robar, Yohn, and Andar as they compete in the tourney. She then brings up Loras unhorsing Robar (which is right before Loras gave her the rose). And of course the crush on Waymar.

And then Sansa gets to the Vale! She can't sneeze without running into another Royce there! Nestor, Myranda, Andor, Bronze Yohn himself....and the interesting thing about Bronze Yohn, is well-

The senior branch of House Royce was close to open revolt over her aunt's failure to aid Robb in his war, and the Waynwoods, Redforts, Belmores, and Templetons were giving them every support.

He and his branch are still pissed that Lysa kept them out of the war. You know, the war Sansa's brother fought and died in? Not to mention that the exact same Waynwoods, Templetons, and Royces that Jocelyn married into are all surrounding her as well.

"Bronze Yohn knows me," she reminded him. "He was a guest at Winterfell when his son rode north to take the black." She had fallen wildly in love with Ser Waymar, she remembered dimly, but that was a lifetime ago, when she was a stupid little girl. "And that was not the only time. Lord Royce saw . . . he saw Sansa Stark again at King's Landing, during the Hand's tourney."

And Bronze Yohn knows Sansa.

So I think the Royces are about to show up and show out for Sansa in a big way! I think she's been purposefully linked to them because they're going to be one of her biggest supporters come TWOW. I think that's why the Waymar crush, the Myranda friendship, and the Bronze Yohn connection are all included, to set Sansa up for an alliance.

What IS really funny as you say is that Waymar is really here to help foreshadow some of Jon Snow's story arc - an "extra" son that has the First Men look joining the Watch, starting off very full of himself and his privilege but being able to rise in so many rough occasions especially when it comes to the Others....and the Sansa crush. lol, lmao even!

Saw an old ask you answered about Mya and had to ask your thoughts on Myranda Royce. Like, she’s the character I’m the most curious about re: the winds of winter. We know from Dumb and Dumber that the Vale plotting for Sansa won’t actually be very long (I’m assuming she gets out of there right after the tourney and leaves for the wall /possibly with the help of Brienne and or Brynden/maybe after some shenanigans from the mountain clans) but from what we can assume Bronze Yohn will be on Sansa‘s side and help her out (like in the show). Now, Myranda's Nestor dad is indebted to LF (and friends with him!) and I find it unlikely that she would pick her father’s cousins side over her dads? With her being lady of the gates too. And at this point everyone is in agreement that Myranda knows that Alayne is Sansa (very obviously highborn, educated, not interested in the new high septon despite allegedly training to be a septa, knows Ned starks bastards name, LOOKS like Catelyn Tully whom she has met not even 2 years before). IMO what’s pointing towards Myranda actually being on our girls side is 1) LF warning Alayne about her, 2) Myranda herself introducing herself as wanting to be wicked, 3) the fact that Myranda being just another Margaery would be lazy and boring, 4) The failed Myranda/Harry betrothal being revealed almost immediately by her, so it can’t actually be a major point of contention for her, right? I don’t want to put too much stock in what the show did but them naming their annoying evil fucked up Ramsay–simp Myranda Royce does sometimes make me hesitate in putting my faith behind Myranda. Ultimately I think she will look out for herself most of all but I feel like her interests aline with Sansa and it will be a net positive. I mainly just want Sansa to have actual allies! Do you think the two branches of the Royce family could end up in agreement/be scheming against LF? After all, besides Bronze Yohn's friendship with NedCat, the Royces share blood with the Starks and their house motto is "We Remember“!

I think you hit the nail on the head with the concept of aligning interests.

Nestor, I don't think he's that good of an actor to be actively fooling Littlefinger himself while appearing to be flattered into complicity, but Myranda is sharp as a knife and clearly not quite satisfied with her lot in life of marrying old men her father picks out for her. But she seems too invested in Sweetrobin to really care that much about marrying Harry for his potential title, as opposed to simply a handsome dolt her own age. So whatever she cares about, it's not in opposition to either Sansa or Sweetrobin. She's capable of subtly interrogating Sansa without her even realizing it, and she has sat on this information for months now without making a move yet. Littlefinger considers her a threat, which is the greatest compliment imaginable, and he wouldn't do that if he thought she was easily manipulated or had goals he could easily assist her with.

If the show paid lip-service to Sansa's Vale plot by naming Ramsay's invented lover after her, I don't imagine it's because Myranda herself is secretly evil, but because she's one of the key figures in the Vale arc.

I imagine she is part of a larger conspiracy connecting her to Bronze Yohn and Anya Waynwood. She would be ideally placed to be a spy for them, and they have the resources she lacks to act on her own behalf and without her father's knowledge. A Myranda who assists the Lords Declarant in removing Littlefinger from power (the mark of a true patriot, honestly) is a Myranda who may yet be rewarded with a better marital match than Harry The Obsolete Heir. (Roland, the Waynwood heir? Andar, the Royce heir?)

Thomas, uno scontroso fotografo londinese di moda, sta realizzando un libro fotografico avente come soggetti persone disagiate dei quartieri londinesi, giovani hippy o clochard che dormono in ospizio. Arriva persino a passare una notte in dormitorio, pur di avere immagini crude e drammatiche, e la mattina successiva sostiene un impegno fotografico in studio con una modella. Nonostante abbia un buon lavoro, molto tempo libero che impiega a girare per Londra con una Rolls-Royce decappottabile, e donne con facilità, Thomas è insoddisfatto.

La prova si ha quando è a pranzo con l'amico Ron nel ristorante El Blason di Chelsea. All'improvviso Thomas esclama: "Non ne posso più di Londra questa settimana!". Alla richiesta di chiarimenti da parte di Ron, Thomas replica: "Perché non fa niente per me...". È proprio cercando l'ispirazione per gli ultimi scatti da inserire nel libro che, dopo aver visitato un piccolo negozio di antiquariato che vorrebbe acquistare con il socio Peter, in un parco periferico si imbatte in due amanti e scatta loro delle foto, nascondendosi dietro agli alberi e ai cespugli. Ma Jane, la donna della coppia, si accorge di quanto sta accadendo e, una volta raggiunto Thomas, gli chiede insistentemente il rullino.

Al suo diniego, lei fugge ma, nel corso della stessa giornata, si presenta allo studio fotografico del meravigliato Thomas, e cerca insistentemente di farsi consegnare la pellicola. Incuriosito, Thomas le consegna un rullino diverso da quello usato nel parco. Sviluppa e ingrandisce (il cosiddetto Blow-Up) le fotografie. Esaminandole, Thomas si convince che le immagini rivelino un assassinio, benché non siano del tutto chiare. Torna al parco dove ha scattato le foto e trova il cadavere dell'amante della donna.

Quando rientra allo studio fotografico, non trova più il negativo né le stampe ingrandite; il materiale è stato presumibilmente rubato. In strada, mentre è alla ricerca di Ron, Thomas intravede per un breve momento Jane poi, inseguendola, finisce all'interno di un club dove si esibiscono gli Yardbirds, ma Jane è scomparsa. Thomas si reca infine da Ron, al quale chiede di andare con lui al parco, ma l'amico non è più in grado di ragionare, sotto gli effetti della marijuana che viene fumata dai partecipanti a una festa privata. Qui incontra Veruschka, la modella protagonista degli scatti fatti in studio al mattino.

Lo stesso Thomas poi si unisce al festino, risvegliandosi stordito la mattina dopo. Torna al parco, questa volta con la macchina fotografica per documentare quanto ha visto la notte precedente, ma il cadavere è sparito. Nell'epilogo si vede una partita di tennis giocata da una compagnia di mimi senza palle né racchette, e un Thomas ormai persuaso di aver immaginato tutto: segue con gli occhi la traiettoria dell'invisibile pallina mentre si sente il tipico rumore della palla percossa dalle inesistenti racchette.

peace talks have seemingly gone on for endless days if you ask those simply waiting about. invited for the grand gesture but turned to dive into what highgarden has to offer to avoid dying of boredom. the southern king showboats to his greatest, pandering to those he can and taking up all of the other monarchs' time as much as he's able. they indulge him, but at what cost?

as the week comes to a close, many are hopeful the talks have gone well and they might see respite from this forced visit to the reach's capitol.

but you know what they say about wishful thinking...

most of our nobility and their staff are simply indulging in highgarden when suddenly troops storm from every space. fear rises, screams are heard, and questions are yelled as the troops bar everyone in highgarden where they are found in that moment.

the largest question circulates, what in the hell is going on?

hello demons ! it is time for another chaos drop. as you can see southern knights have flooded highgarden and barred everyone where they were found. there are no answers being offered, simply guards refusing to budge.

this plot drop does not go into affect IC until monday, we will make a post from the main when you can begin threads revolving it.

to avoid characters being stranded alone, we are offering the following locations for people to be trapped in: highgarden markets, the grand ballroom (being used as a giant dining room), the largest private garden of the tyrell family, or within the hedge maze.

please send in to the main what characters will be in what location by monday, aug 21. after this we will assign who is left at random and dm you with the results. please be sure to spread your muses around so each location has a diverse group of writers. multiple muses in one space are allowed for those who have more than 4 characters.

you can only thread with the people who are trapped with your character, so be mindful of the list and be sure you are responding to opens accordingly.

        the  nursery  within  the  arryn  apartments  felt like its own little world, removed from the happenings in the rest of sunspear, and yet alicent still couldn't wait to exchange it for home. she hummed softly.   ❝ rod did talk plenty to her before she was born, ❞   fondness filled her voice. the quiet moments with her husband, speaking about their child when she was still growing inside her, had been one of the few moments of pregnancy she'd enjoyed.   ❝ you won't. not if you keep your voice low, ❞   she reassured gently.   ❝ she hasn't woken up from a nap unless there's been a loud noise. ❞

he almost wanted to be able to be swaddled and left to sleep for some undetermined amount of time like his new niece, smile flickering on his lips as he gazed down at her. “ i would think that’s because she knows who her dad is, ” he chuckles, sure that it was because she’d been able to hear both voices of her parents while in the womb. “ i don’t really want to disturb her, ” he confesses quietly. not when she looked as peaceful as she did. if she woke up crying, andar would probably cry with her out of guilt.

 strolling  into  the  dungeons  the  prince  was  well  aware  of  the  stares  from  the  guards.  who  would  trust  an  islander  visiting  anyone  ,  after  all.  the  kraken  ignored  them  ,  though  ,  and  only  stopped  when  he  found  one  of  the  people  he  desired  to  visit.  “  do  you  think  they  allow  conjugal  visits  for  husbands  ?  ”  comes  his  question  ,  playful  grin  on  his  lips.  inside  daegon  hates  seeing  the  people  he  liked  behind  bars  ,  but  the  prince  wasn’t  foolish  enough  to  think  he  had  the  power  to  free  them  either.

        alicent  understood  why  many  were  spending  every hour of the day outside, exploring the gardens or the maze or the markets; highgarden was beautiful, but she was equally as happy to spend time with her family. plus she didn't like leaving mayra alone in the apartments when she was napping.   ❝ how do you find highgarden so far? ❞ she asked, looking away from her needlework and toward her brother.
