monday:
"What're you doing here?" you stared up from your book at Bakugou, who'd plopped himself down beside you.
It was lunchtime, and you'd found yourself outside under the tree near the end of the field, alone, as you'd been since the sports festival.
"Why? M'not allowed to eat lunch here?" he gave you a sneer as he raised his eyebrow.
"No," you rolled your eyes. "I was asking why you were here. You don't normally sit here, you sit inside with everyone else."
"So? Do I need a reason?"
"Nevermind," you shook your head, returning to your book.
"Yer not eating anything?" he started again after a moment of silence, and you looked up at him with despair.
"Does it matter?"
"Yeah, it fuckin' does," his eyes narrowed in your direction. "How the fuck am I supposed to beat you at your full power in training if you haven't even eaten anything?"
That's what this is about.
There were going to be one-on-one sparring sessions that day in training, and All Might (very fortunately) had disclosed everyone's partner ahead of time so that everyone had enough time to prepare for their opponent's quirk.
"Listen Bakugou, I'll make sure to put in my all, or whatever. I'm still fine without eating."
You found a part of yourself trying to appease him, despite the weird mind games he was playing. You knew it was just because of what he'd seen your quirk do in the sports festival — and why everyone in your class had practically dumped you, even if they were too scared to admit it — and because he was so obsessed with winning.
A bowl was suddenly nudged in front you, and you had to look up from your book again to see Bakugou giving you another look.
"M'not fighting you if you haven't eaten anything," he announced defiantly.
The look he was giving you made it seem as if you had lost the argument, especially since he was almost gloating as he raised his eyebrows as a way to force you to challenge him.
"Okay," you shrugged before turning back down. "Don't fight me then."
You heard him growl under his breath, and before you could internally celebrate your victory, your book was pulled out of your hands and you looked back up at him in shock.
"Listen here you shitty fuckin' extra," he snarled. "I am not going to miss out on training just because you decided to be a bitch and spite me. So eat yer damn food."
"Give me my book back."
"No."
"Give it back, Bakugou."
"Not gonna happen."
"Ugh! Just give it to me!"
"What are ya gonna do, extra? Fight me?" he taunted, and you quickly realized what he was playing at.
"Fucking fine!" you huffed, grabbing the bowl of ramen and downing it in under a minute. It wasn't hot, thankfully, since it'd been out for a while — and you looked back at Bakugou after finishing and wiping your mouth with the back of your wrist.
"Give. It."
He tossed the book back at you without a second thought, and you shot him a glare before letting out a breath when you realized that the page you were reading was still bookmarked.
Only Bakugou didn't leave after that. He sat there and chewed on his onigiri for the rest of the period before getting up a couple minutes before the bell rang.
Fuckin' weirdo.
. . .
tuesday:
"Yer still not eating anything?" Bakugou said as he placed his lunch tray on the grass next to where you were sitting, again.
After your match yesterday (where Bakugou had still won, obviously), you thought that he would leave you alone, since you weren't friends and he didn't have any reasons to talk to you besides your match.
"Why does it matter?" you looked up from your book, surprised. Why was he back?
"Because you need to eat," he rolled his eyes. "Isn't that fuckin' obvious?"
You resolved his statement with a glare that he didn't acknowledge, watching as he instead pushed half of a sandwich towards you before taking a bite of his curry.
"Why are you here?" you glanced between him and the sandwich.
"To eat. Isn't that obvious?"
"No, asshole. Why are you here?"
"Because I can."
"Just because you can, doesn't mean you should," you raised an eyebrow, watching as a vein popped out of his forehead when he turned to you.
"Listen extra," he dropped his chopsticks to point a finger at you. "I can sit wherever the fuck I want. Now shut the fuck up and eat your sandwich."
You gave him an unimpressed look before grabbing the sandwich and tearing the paper it was wrapped in harshly. You made sure that you bit and chewed into it aggressively, just wanting him to shut up so you could read your book but still let him know that you were angry about him coming and sitting next to you — but you were still a little hungry since you'd skipped breakfast that morning.
You didn't notice the little triumphant look Bakugou gave himself as he watched you from the side — angrily chewing the sandwich while your eyes scanned the page in front of you.
He'd won again.
. . .
wednesday:
"What's this lame ass book you've always got your nose stuck in?" Bakugou announced as he sat down next to you again, only you weren't as bothered by his presence as you'd been the day before.
You still let out an audible groan though when you looked up, watching as Bakugou slid over a plate with sushi before biting into his own salad.
"Why do you keep bringing me lunch?"
"I've told you this already," he rolled his eyes. "Use your fuckin' brain for once."
"No- Let me just.." you put your book down and stared at him. "I meant, why do you keep coming and sitting with me and bringing me lunch and stuff? I'm fine on my own."
"Answer my question first," he looked up from eating. "You didn't answer me."
"Just a romance," you rolled your eyes. "Now why do keep sitting with me?"
"The best friend was super shitty in that one," Bakugou mumbled in passing when he finally found himself noticing the title of the book, but his eyes widened in an instant to find a cat-like grin stretching across your face.
"How do you know that?" you asked him slyly.
"I don't know what you're talking about," he tried to seem nonchalant about it, looking back with a glare that was probably supposed to deter you from asking any further — but it seemed to have no weight when you willingly scooched closer to him.
"I clearly heard you Bakugou," you raised an eyebrow, watching as his eyes refused to look back down at the book cover again in definace.
"I didn't say anything."
You stared him down, this time watching as he crumbled, putting down his bowl before he spoke.
"I fuckin' read it before, okay?" he threw his arms up. "What else do you think happened? But if you tell another goddamn soul about this, I'm gonna kill you. Got it?"
"Yeah got it — I won't," you shrugged him off. "But what does she do?"
"Huh?"
"You said the best friend was shitty. What did she do?"
You watched Bakugou roll his his eyes before finally giving in, slumping against the tree trunk you always sat next to like he was letting the weight fall off his shoulders.
"Remember when she told the main character girl about the second guy liking her and all that."
"You mean Ryu?"
"Yeah that idiot — well she did it because she was trying to get the brother mad at the both of them so she could ask the main guy out instead," Bakugou went back to eating his salad smugly, watching as your face twisted into shock.
"Of course she wanted to get with Haru!" you stared at the book now sitting in the grass. "I thought it was so weird when she told her because it was so obvious she was already jealous about Haru not liking her."
"Yeah," Bakugou barely shrugged, taking another bite.
You'd forgotten about your question this time, but he wasn't sure he would be so lucky if you asked him again.
At least it was fun to talk about something he never got to.
.
.
.
thursday:
The fact that you were reading a different book today instantly caught Bakugou's attention as he sat down at your usual spot, two bento boxes in hand.
"What happened to the other one?" he gestured to the thicker, hardcover book.
"You basically spoiled it," you shrugged. "So I'm rereading a different one instead."
Bakugou didn't say anything as he slid a bento box over to you, pulling out his chopsticks as you put your book down.
"I didn't see bento's in the lunch room today. I was hoping for pizza actually."
"I'm not yer damn waiter. Just shut up and appreciate the food you're given," he rolled his eyes.
"Where'd you get them from though?" you asked as you opened the bento, a small smile creeping up at the neatly packed food inside.
"...I made 'em," he almost whispered, eyes strained as you took a bite of the salmon he made.
"It's good!" you looked up at him with wide eyes. "I didn't know you could cook so well."
"Of course I fuckin' can," he sneered, turning back to his box like he wasn't intently watching your reaction. "I'm the best cook in our class."
"I wouldn't be so sure," you raised an eyebrow. "Sato's actually really good at baking."
"That's not the same thing you idiot."
"Aren't they similar though?"
"No."
And it was silent again, the both of you eating under the tree until you finally spoke again.
"Why do you keep sitting with me, Bakugou?"
It was hard for Bakugou to look up after those words came off your lips in a nonchalant manner — how was he supposed to answer with the truth?
"Does it fuckin' matter?" he deflected. "Why're you always sitting alone then?"
"I dunno," you rolled your eyes as if the answer was obvious, your face scrunching when you realized his question was serious.
"You're being serious?" you asked with an almost gaped mouth.
"Does it look like I'm joking?"
"My quirk," you said like it was the most obvious thing in the world, and Bakugou only gave you a look of bewilderment.
"The sports festival?" you reiterated. "How I had that guy from Class B under my control and stuff?"
"So?" he looked away. "You did okay. It's not even like you won or anything."
"Do I really have to spell it out for you? People think my quirk is villainous."
It wasn't like Bakugou didn't notice the change in attitude towards you after the sports festival and the true nature of your quirk was revealed, but he really believed that the people around him were better than that.
He saw how the media was treating his own outbursts, and while in the tiniest way possible he could understand them — your reaction was unwarranted.
"Don't say shit like that," Bakugou looked up to you seriously. "If no one else around you can see that your quirk's good enough to become a hero, fuck 'em. They weren't worth being in your life anyways. Got that?"
You paused, seemingly unable to speak from the weight his words left hanging in the air — but you finally nodded slightly, picking up your book from where it was still open in the grass.
"Thanks."
.
.
.
friday:
You didn't startle today when Bakugou found his place beside you, nonchalantly turning the page without registering his existence. He couldn't help but let the silence linger — you looked peaceful while quietly reading — letting himself start eating his own lunch after pushing a plate in front of you.
Your book snapped shut after a couple moments, suddenly, and he could feel your eyes boring holes into the side of his head.
"Bakugou."
"Hmm?"
"Why do you keep eating lunch with me?"
But as soon as he opened his mouth to deflect, you interrupted him.
"And I know that it's not because you wanna make sure that I'm in top shape or whatever — and you can't deflect the question like every other time I've asked you this, okay?" You were staring at him seriously.
"Okay, you wanna know why?" he started, putting his chopsticks on his plate before turning towards you straight on. "I like you, Y/N — more than as a friend would."
You blinked at him, clearly startled by his response. "Why?"
"Whadd'ya mean why? Does there have to be reason?" He sneered. Were you being serious?
"But... My quirk..."
"Didn't I already tell you? Anyone who thinks that has shit for brains. Now shut up and eat your food."

I had the 2nd part in my head already, so I started writing it. This post may go up pretty darn quick. If you've read so far, THANK YOU. Again, if you like it, and want to be tagged, Just lemme know.
Warnings: Alcohol abuse, overall abuse, mild violence (ie. bar fights), smut, swearing, and altogether just a lot of fuckery.
+It goes without saying. This is a work of fiction. My words are mine. Plagiarism is a crime.
Part 2 - Running in Circles
Syd looked so much brighter today. It was refreshing. She had her makeup on, she was clear, like she had been sleeping and eating regularly. Sometimes, that in and of itself was the simplest of answers. It was the key some days.
She finished telling us about how she had put in sixteen applications at various employers since the last meeting, had been to the gym each day, and finally finished a 2000 piece puzzle she started three months ago. It was fabulous news, earning her a huge applause from everyone, including Noah, who I was halfway surprised to see again today. It had only been two days, but showing up again was a 50/50 shot with newcomers. Usually, if they made it to 5 meetings, they were in it for the long haul. I was extremely pleased.
He was also a lot different today, sitting back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest the majority of the meeting, but still more open than his last visit. Reading body language was crucial in this field, so I may have read a book or two on it in my spare time. His face also looked fuller, the dark circles now just shadows slightly casting his light skin and deep color eyes. He wore a white T-shirt with a red beanie, showing the tattoos off on his long arms.
His turn came rather quickly, and he sighed heavily when all eyes turned to him.
Before he could start, I chimed in. "Guys?" Everyone looked over to me. "Before Noah shares today, can we give him a huge round of applause for showing up to his second meeting?" This was met with fierce applause and a few hoots and hollers from our more spirited members.
"Great job!" Seth smiled brightly. Abel nodded his head pointedly.
"One of the hardest parts is coming back. Good for you, bud." I could see Noah's cheeks tinge pink, but he smiled, a smile bigger than I had seen so far. He was slightly embarrassed, but I could see his appreciation. Maybe even a sparkle of moisture in his eyes? He definitely pushed that down.
He reached behind his head nervously and chuckled shyly as the clapping died down.
"Thanks guys." He folded his hands in his lap, looking at the floor. "I was in the neighborhood, so..." He threw his hands up in a casual manner, causing some laughing from the group, including myself.
"How was the last few days for you?" I crossed my legs, eyes pointed in his direction. He didn't return my gaze.
"It was different. I haven't exactly talked to anyone about it." I only nodded. I wanted to encourage him to keep sharing, but I didn't want to pry too hard. "I don't know how to bring it up to anyone."
"That's fair. I think we all went through that."
He nodded, idly picking at his thumbnail. "I have a gig this weekend, and things usually get pretty wild after. I'm nervous." His eyes then looked up at me. I felt as though he was speaking directly to me, rather than to the group. Maybe he was?
Most people look around, avoid eye contact, and talk mostly just out loud. That's the purpose. Noah, however, was holding a conversation with me, and everyone else just happened to be within earshot. That was clear.
I would allow it, for now. If it eased him in, I was game for almost anything.
"Can I ask what kind of gig?" He sucked his teeth, a smirk creeping in.
"I'm in a band." I smiled now, because he was telling us (me) something personal.
"Oh nice! What do you play? Guitar?" His eyes snapped to Syd, who had chimed in. I could see this broke his concentration bubble, and I watched as his shoulders slightly drew in.
Although, he did not stop speaking. His tone did die down a little.
"I can play guitar, but in this band, I just sing." He cleared his throat, squirming slightly in his chair. "We were on tour earlier this year, and once it was over, I realized I needed help, so I'm hoping to make good progress before the next tour starts this fall. This gig is just opening for a bigger band."
"Must be some band." I added with a smile. This brought his attention back to me.
"What's it called?" Syd's voice was bouncy, breaking through the cool calm I had manufactured. I watched him almost visibly flinch.
"I'd rather not say." And with that, I could see he was done for today.
-
After the meeting, I caught Noah booking for the exit. I ran after him, donut in my hand.
"Hey Noah!" I caught him right before he slid into the driver's seat of his Navigator. "You didn't get a snack!"
He waved a hand at me. I still jogged up to his car. "I'm good Leena, thanks though." I sighed, stopping in front of him.
"Can we chat for a sec?" I saw him look down, likely questioning his decision to come back, but still shut his door and walked over to where I stood by the hood of the truck.
"What's up?"
"Did you get a chance to find a sponsor?" His beanie was pulled down low toward his eyes. He avoided my gaze.
"Yeah, uh, I actually didn't. Turns out everyone I know is into drinking, and I don't think that'll change anytime soon." I nodded knowingly.
"We've got great sponsors here, you know? Abel is a great resource, so is Rodger. They've both been in active recovery for more than five years." He narrowed his eyes, visibly stressed by the conversation.
"Yeah, I uh...don't really know them very well."
I couldn't tell you what possessed me to say what I did next, whether it was empathy, the sugar high from the donuts, the caffeine, or something else entirely, but I still opened my mouth.
"Do you want me to be your sponsor?" I watched his eyes widen at that, his head snapping to me quickly.
"You'd do that? You don't even know me."
I smiled my bright smile, and nodded. "Absolutely, at least until you can find another or get comfortable with one of the other members. I don't mind at all."
For the first time since we'd met, which wasn't long ago, admittedly, I saw a smile touch his eyes. Something told me that Noah hadn't seen genuine human kindness in a while.
"I mean, only if you want to. Maybe just to get me to the meeting next week?" I nodded.
"Of course. Happy to." He looked around, watching the people trickle out of the building around us and waved at Seth, who smiled at him before getting in his car.
"I do think we should take some time to work out a plan for your gig. These first few weeks in recovery are crucial."
He leaned against his car, chewing his lip. "You think so?"
I handed him the donut. He skeptically accepted it, and took a small bite.
"How long has it been?" He looked down then, a sign of shame.
"Five days." I nodded.
"And when is your gig?"
"Tomorrow night." I shrugged. I had work to do.
"You busy tonight?"
-
Noah sat back in the booth, sighing heavily, his plate clear. I continued shoveling pasta into my mouth, the carbs and the donuts being my only food sources today. Work had, once again, been hectic. I could see him looking around the restaurant, people watching.
Without warning, he leaned over the table. "You know, my girlfriend would kill me if she knew I was at dinner with another woman."
His statement gave me pause for a moment. Girlfriend. I hadn't even considered that. Ignoring the small, sinking feeling in my gut, I slurped my noodle and felt a twinge of guilt. I had no interest in getting him in trouble.
He must have seen the look on my face, because he smiled then. "I didn't tell her. It's no big deal, really."
I wiped my mouth on my napkin and swallowed a large gulp of water.
"Does she know you've started coming to AA?" He shook his head feverishly.
"No, not yet." This made me furrow my brow, suspicious.
"Where does she think you are, then?"
He leaned back, perusing. "Probably figures I'm out with the guys, shitfaced already."
It took me a second to realize, I didn't know a lot about Noah. I had no idea who the man was that I just shared a meal with, agreed to be his sponsor, and unknowingly risked his relationship.
"You know, if we're going to be working on your recovery, there's some things we may need to know about each other." He signaled the waiter.
"Like?"
"Well, for one," I smiled at the waiter as Noah politely asked for a dessert menu. Then, keeping my voice low, I leaned over the table. "I don't even know your last name."
I caught the way his eyes drifted over me, my chest now slightly exposed at this angle, my black hair flowing over my shoulder.
"You don't?" He seemed unfazed, but I did catch the bob of the bulge on his throat when he dry swallowed. I leaned back. This was not the game to play.
"No." I laughed. "You always sign in as 'Noah S.' What does the S stand for? Skynard?" This made him laugh loudly.
Through his chuckles, he choked out "Sebastian." He caught his breath. "My last name is Sebastian."
I nodded, satisfied with that. It was enough to Google if I felt so inclined.
"And you?" This made me stop for a second mid-bite.
"What about me?"
"Is your name just Leena? Like Cher?" This made me drop my fork, a hard laugh echoing between us from my chest. I saw his amused smile, which almost embarrassed me.
"Mileena. Mileena Richards."
He lifted an eyebrow. "Like, from Mortal Kombat?"
I nodded proudly. "Same spelling, different origin."
"That's fucking cool."
The waiter then came back, a large slice of multi-layered chocolate cake covered in a hot chocolate sauce set down on the table, two large scoops of vanilla ice cream and two spoons set down on the plate with it.
"Wow."
Noah shrugged sheepishly. "I heard sugar helps with the cravings."
-
We walked out of the restaurant, the night nice and chilly in the February air. We stood between our trucks, full and exhausted.
"So, we didn't come up with a game plan."
I nodded, leaning my head back on the door of my Tahoe. "I'm sorry. I was starving."
He returned it with a rub of his stomach. "Same. It's fine."
"You said in group that the usual thing is to go out and party after the show, right?" He nodded. "What's the chance of just heading home afterwards? Claiming you're tired?"
"Slim. We have the show. Then meet and greet. Then we all typically hang out in the green room. Do some shots. Then hit a bar." I watched his face downturn, as if he was admitting to a crime.
"Okay. And being in a bar is a big no no for right now." He sighed, covering his face with his hands.
"I'm not ready to tell them." I reached over, putting a hand on his shoulder. I felt his body slightly lean into the affection, only for a second.
"That's okay, Noah. We can make it work." I wracked my brain for ideas, but was sincerely lost for ideas. "Can you tell them you don't feel well?"
He put his hands down and leaned back against the door, looking defeated. "Maybe? It would need to be a pretty good disease to get me out of the after party."
This made me smirk. "You ever had the stomach flu?"
This made him chuckle. "You want me to vomit onstage?!" He feigned shock and disgust.
I laughed. "No, it doesn't need to be that dramatic. After the meet and greet, you just tell everyone you have to use the restroom, spend way too long in it, and then tell them you need to go home. Pull at the skin on your face a little, make yourself look flush. Make sure you're sweaty."
"That's a given after a show."
"You never did tell me the name of your band."
He smiled wickedly. "It's probably not your vibe?"
I lifted my chin proudly. "Try me."
"Metalcore?"
"Architects? Falling in Reverse? Ice Nine Kills? Bring Me The Horizon?" I began listing them on my fingers.
He pointed at the name of the last band. "We're touring with them some time next year."
My jaw dropped. "You've met Oli Sykes?!"
He shook his head. "Not yet, but I hear he's a really cool dude."
"Noah, how big is this band you're in?"
"Not too big, just me and three other guys."
I rolled my eyes. "Not what I meant." He laughed then, acknowledging his smartass.
"Maybe you should come tomorrow?" This took me back. The idea hadn't even crossed my mind.
"Seriously?"
His tone became excited. "Yeah! Why not? You can make sure I get out of there afterward, you can see us play, too. Maybe you'll hear something you recognize."
"Maybe I'd know if you just told me the name of the band." He laughed again, but my amusement was fading.
"C'mon, you can be my getaway driver."
"How am I going to get in, when your band is apparently a pretty big deal? I bet there aren't even tickets left."
He shook his head. "Nah, I can get you a VIP suite. So you don't have to do the mosh pits and all that."
This started to sound not so terrible after all. It had been a while since I had gone to a good rock concert. Life had been so busy.
"Can I bring a friend?" He smirked.
"Boyfriend?"
For whatever reason, I felt the inherent need to deny this immediately. "Nope. But I have a best friend who is really into metal. She just saw Bad Omens a few months ago."
His eyebrows rose, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Oh, definitely bring her. If she's into that, she may like us."
I nodded. "Alright. Where is it?" He pulled his phone out and unlocked it, swiping away multiple text notifications before opening a fresh contact and handing it to me.
"Put in your number. I'll text you all the details in the morning, when I get them." I nodded and added myself in under Leena H. He nodded in satisfaction.
Then came this sudden awkward silence. I could tell he didn't know what to do next. Handshake? Hug? Salute?
This made me chuckle, when I turned and opened my car door.
"Goodnight, Noah. See you tomorrow." I got a sheepish wave in return.
-
Back at home, after a much needed shower and settled into my bed, I pulled out my laptop.
My curiosity was too strong now. Who was this band?
My Google search took less than a second to load.
Noah Sebastian: Lead Singer of Bad Omens.
I stared at my screen for a long time. I wasn't reading this correctly was I? There it was, in black and white on my screen. It was a joke, right? Noah wasn't...he couldn't be...right?
But there it was, his photograph plastered on my screen. That was definitely in technicolor.
I didn't know much by Bad Omens, but I knew their song Just Pretend. It was one of the most played in my shower, on my drives to work. It was one of those songs that resonated with you. I heard it first on TikTok, and was hooked on that verse. That voice.
No fucking way.
I pulled out my phone, completely ignoring the fact that it was clear after midnight by now.
Me: YOU'RE THE LEAD SINGER OF BAD OMENS????
It took about three minutes, in which I was absolutely not staring at the screen the entire time, before I saw the typing bubble.
Noah: LOL Bad Omens? Never heard of them.
This motherfucker.
Me: Noah! Why didn't you say something?!
Noah: I don't get to have fun once in a while? Wow. AA's kind of a bummer.
Me: Laura's going to lose her shit.
Noah: That'll be fun for you. Talk to you tomorrow!
With that, the conversation was over. I chucked my phone to the foot of the bed, stunning a curious glance from my hound Angel. I petted a silent apology on his head and he laid back down.
What the fuck. What the fuck?!
I'm sponsoring a fucking rockstar.

LET'S TALK GENSHIN AND REMURIA AND ARLECCHINO BEFORE I FORGET AND WE'RE ALREADY IN SECOND HALF OF THE PATCH WHY DOES TIME FLY WHEN YOU'RE AN ADULT
I'm gonna start the post with a few paragraphs I wrote just a few days after the patch went live:
So I finished the first Remuria world quest - it was beautiful. And really not as long as I first expected it to be. I probably could have finished it on the first day if I wouldn't have been as tired as I was
First of all the new map is beautiful. You'd think after 3? patches of map expansions where we already got underwater stuff it would feel repetetive but somehow it looks and feels different and refreshing. Maybe because majority of the map are caves where you can walk normally or they're ruins... idk.
I couldn't help but draw parallels between Remuria and HSR's Penacony tho, especially look-wise, the talk of a dreamscape and the theme of music. Especially now after finishing Penacony 2.2 I can't help but feel the two are very similar in certain aspects... the motive of Harmony and Song and Peace and saving a people and Gods? Also the way Remuria looks is so similar to certain things in Penacony? I already said rhis in my post on HSR, this is absolutely no hate whatsoever. I reckon there's only so much you can do with these motives? It's interesting how differently it looks in both games tho.
So yeah, Remuria is beautiful. The music is an out of body experience and encapsulates the whole thing perfectly. I haven't explored all of the map yet, but I like the new mechanisms a lot. The floating books look so cool and just generally the significance of music through it all... *sigh* it's so enjoyable.
So far for Remuria... i definitely missed a few things I wanted to say but it's been like 2 weeks since I played this and I definitely forgot something haha
AS FOR ARLECCHINO THO
First of all she's broken omg. It is kind lf annoying that it'll take weeks to max out her talents, rn for me she's sitting at crowned NA and skill and burst are level 7 each. But she still hits for like over 50k with each normal attack when she has a bond of life. Don't even get me started on her with Yelan MY GOD.
Okay with that out of the way let me talk about her story quest. First of all I find it very intriguing that hyv gave up on the usual pattern of having the second weekly boss for a nation be tied to the Archon and their respective second story quest (besides Mond ig)... i mean yeah Fontaine's archon situatipn is very peculiar but technically Neuvilette has taken over the role for now, right? Neither him nor Furina getting a second story quest makes me think Neuvi's probably gonna get his way later because it'll be HUGE. Again I wanna say that lore wise Neuvi is my fav character... HES JUST SO FNDNDBDN. And Furina is probably gonna get a pretty "random" one at one point kinda like Yoimiya did or Cyno... like its gonna be a good quest but it'a gonna be random. ANYWAY
I wonder how much different I would habe perceived the quest if I hadn't watched the Animated Short about Arlecchino that they put on Youtube... like it's her whole backstory? I could see where the quest was going right from the beginning because of it... that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, tho
Childe's little surprise cameo made me so happy c: MY BOY. He's alive snd well AND IN FONTAINE. Let me remind ypu we last officially saw him in the last Atchon quest gwtting yeeted into a black hole by Skirk. Then it was mentioned at the end that he was being treated and sent gome to Snezhnaya. Well...
The whole cryptic talk between Arle and Childe was quite interesting... so this project by the Fatui, right? (Forgot the name rn bc it's been a few days since I played the quest) Is it fonna be significant for Natlans story? What does it entail?? THE TEASE NNNNGNNGHH
I wonder if at some point in the game we're actually gonna see Lyney become the new head of House of the Hearth. Like... it's mentioned quite a lot in his story as well as in everything that has tp do with the House and Sröecchino herself... I wonder 🤔
Throughout the story I was reminded that one of the first things we heard about her (Childes voiceline that came out in like??? 3.0 or so???). It was that she would turn her back on and betray the Harbingers (AND THE TSARISTA) without second thought. She even says this herself in her voicelines. I just wonder what her ultimate goal is? To free herself from the curse? Which btw they tell us nothing about in the story. Story is all about the House and its inner workings and Arle's feelings about it and plans for the future (which I love btw but still not quite understand)... we also casually get told that Arle is not even that old??? Like the whole thing with Crucabena is so recent that Freminet remembers her???? Amd Arle was maybe a Teenager when she killed her so like??? She's only around 10 years older than the kids????
So how come she's a descendant from Khaenri'ah? I don't know if I read somewhere abput it or if its a rumor but not confirmed or if its said in her personal story which I haven't read yet but... she'a from the crimson moon dynasty? Or has some ties to it? And her curse is definitely related to it BUT WHAT IS HER CURSE EXACTLY. WHY DOES SHE HAVE IT. If she's only in maybe her late 20s she couldn't have been an actual Khaenriahn citizen (same as Kaeya and he still gives me the same headache thinking about this) so how does it all tie together in the end?? Does it have to do with the God of time maybe??? (Nevermind if this is talked about in her personal story in her profile I haven't read that yet)
So yeah... the fight woth her was so cool. The animation??? I saw people get upset about the fact that Traveler couldn't beat her but I actually love that?? Like... She'a #4 of the Harbingers and has some curse probably tied to Khaenriah and she KILLED A HARBINGER WHEN SHE WAS A TEENAGER??? Traveler nlt being this almighty MC makes them so much mlre likeable like yeah... they are obv far from having their actual power back? It took us ... how many times to fight Shuki No Kami before we could defeat it in the final try to learn all the patterns? The game wants to tell us that there's much more powerful enemies in Teyvat and rhis is only the beginning. Let me tell you yeah we beat Signora but it was Raiden who killed her... it was Zhongli who subdued Azhdaha. We only healed Apep with Nahidas help. Traveler has never been able to easily defeat these big enemies, they always had help. Yeah they have been getting stronger, they've been getting access to more elements but the bis enemies are just getting stronger and bigger too... I wonder where that will lead. Maybe the twins are only gonna get their true power bavk once they're united... ANYWAY
Her weekly boss fight is cool too. Using different mechanisms again, with the whole Bond of Life thing and all. She does this one attack in her second phase that I just... can't get behind tho. Someone always has to be the victim, THE SACRIFICE, to get me through haha. Idk how to dodge or avoid that attack. The one where she floats above the arena and then these bombs? Idk? Come down and basically crash down on the whole arena and I haven't found a spot where you can aboid getting hit and therefore killed immediately idk.
So yeah that's all for now. Very excited to play Cyno's second story quest. Heard only good things so far about it, which is good because I really didn't like his first one 💀 probably gonna get around to play it one of these days. Same as with the rest of Remuria exploration, gonna need mlre Clorinde funds :3
(Gonna add screenshots later, it's been so long that the ones I took aren't saved in the PS App anymore 💀)

Now that Bridgerton has been released for over a week and I've had it on repeat since then it's time to process through some thoughts.
Overall this is my favorite season of Bridgerton. It's not surprising because Polin has always been my favorite pairing since season 1 and friends to lovers is one of my all time favorite romance tropes.
While I am loving the season there are still a few beefs I had while watching it that still irk me, but don't bother me as much as they did in the beginning which will be discussed at the end of the post.
Prepare for a long post and if you read it all thank you! Also SPOILERS ABOUND! Let's start with everything I have loved so far:
Mirrors. There are mirrors freaking everywhere in the season and we all know why. A lot of the side characters have mirrors in their scenes. We see Kate has a bunch of mirrors in her study, the Mondriches have mirrors. Mirrors everywhere to be found. Not only is a mirror going to play a major part in the second part, but it's so symbolic of Colin and Pen's journey of really finding themselves and subsequently each other. But Bridgerton is not subtle this season. There's mirrors everywhere you look.
Colin Bridgerton is a cinnamon roll and must be protected at all costs. My previous post already addressed a lot of the Colin hate floating around out there and I won't hear it. Our man is out there fully falling harder for Pen and not realizing how much he's affected by her. Until he does and then he's properly torturing himself.
The main characters this season are so relatable. Being a mid/plus size late bloomer female who has never received any romantic attention I relate to Penelope so much. I nearly cried in the second episode because I've had the same feelings she was having in that moment of believing you'll never have that in your life. At least she had Colin. But besides my personal connection to Pen compared to the previous two couples I think Colin and Pen are the most realistic and relatable characters.
The book references. I was a little nervous about changing the storyline to Colin having lessons with Penelope and helping her find a husband and Pen having another suitor, but I enjoyed it. It allowed them to bring a lot of humor to the show where we haven't really seen that in this show before. But they also incorporated very key aspects of the Polin relationship. The first kiss was nearly verbatim from the book and the very end of the carriage scene was also straight from the book just some dialogue switched characters. More on the carriage later.
Colin realizes he loves Pen much earlier than in the book. So glad for this change since we already knew Colin was the biggest dummy for not realizing what was right in front of his face. I'm glad we saw sparks of it from him before the first kiss. The garden confession? Please. It was practically a love confession as he was talking about all of the things he likes about her. The boy just couldn't put two and two together. And I'm really glad Pen tried to move on from her feelings it really put Colin into a place where he had to imagine his life without her and the man couldn't handle it.
Here are some beefs I have with the season but again they're pretty minimal and honestly I'm somewhat okay with it now except for one of them:
Lady Danbury not being involved with Polin whatsoever. They name their first born Agatha for heaven's sake. I really anticipated Lady D to be involved with Pen being a wallflower and practically just like her, but .... whatever. They gave Lady D other things to do this season instead.
Pen never asked Colin to help her find a husband. Okay this one still actually bothers me still. In episode 4 Penelope mentions to Colin when they're finished dancing that it was a mistake asking for his help and then in the carriage she says again that when she asked him for his help in finding a husband she didn't know he'd also deny her one (I told you guys I have watched this literally nonstop for a week). But she literally NEVER asked him to help her. In episode 1 he says, "if a husband is what you seek let me help you." At no point was she like "Please Colin will you help me?" I couldn't stand this. The only thing Pen asked of Colin was if he'd kiss her and I stand by this. That's sloppy continuity in the writing.
The brothels. Both scenes were completely unnecessary to me. The first one I've come around on slightly, but I will never get over the second brothel scene. I get what they were trying to do, but with the awkward flirting with all the ladies in the ton that was already accomplished for me that Colin was trying to act like someone he definitely wasn't. I didn't need to see Slut Colin for that. And I get it for the first brothel scene they made sure to hit that home, but the second one? The second one comes after he realizes he's fallen in love with Penelope and I don't fully understand his motivation for going there. I also am just sick of the rake storyline and since we know that's not how Colin is I was upset they tried to turn him into that. But characters must grow. To me it could've been done differently or even better yet not at all.
No flashback to baby Polin. I really was hoping for a flashback. There was a flashback episode for season 1 and 2 but none for 3. I really thought they would have done a flashback of some kind. At least Colin remembers and talks about how they met. "Do you remember when we first met?" Bro please. You don't need to ask Penelope if she remembers it's the moment she fell in love with you, bro. I'm hoping for a callback to this in the second part when she hopefully tells Colin she's loved him for years.
Last beef. That the carriage scene and love realization happened with no LW reveal. I get it. They're pushing this off to the second part. Makes sense for the drama of it all, but it fundamentally goes against season 1 Pen when she was trying to convince Marina to tell Colin that she was pregnant. Like hello. Now she's just doing what Marina did by keeping this from him. And I'm sure that's what part 2 will be about, but I don't like it. In the book he proposed to her fully knowing who she was and now in the show there's this huge chunk of who she is now missing and I DON'T LIKE IT!
This is way too long. Stay tuned for thoughts on the carriage scene, other favorite Polin moments and all my hopes and dreams for part 2.

NINJAGO STARSTRUCK AU - SPINJITZU AT 25:00 OPENING
This is the opening of the Ninjago x Project Sekai Nightcord swap.
Hey guys, I worked hard to make sure I kept most of the character's traits present, while coinciding with N25's main story. It would mean a lot if you stopped by to read a bit!!
Harumi Yoisaki
"This isn't right. Maybe if I…? Yes, that works."
My name is Harumi Yoisaki. I am a digital composer.
I would be a second year student of high school, but I do not go to school. I live by myself and complete online courses. My parents used to work in music.
I work in a group. We meet every night on our night chat, Spinjitzu. Ever since my parents were hospitalized I promised to keep doing what they did.
I don't live in a very roomy apartment. I barely pay the rent. Sometimes I will forget to eat.
But, I continue. Because I must compose.
I visit my parents sometimes. They don't wake up. They never will.
Because they are dead. And it's my fault.
So I continue. And the cycle will go on.I must compose.
Even though sometimes it's hard, I continue. Because this is my place. I will save someone.
I just need to keep composing. And soon…I will be able to save someone from the same fate as my parents.
They went out to drive…
"No. I will not think about it. I will keep going. I must save someone…
"My screen lit up.
"Hey Rue, I finished arranging that part for you. Do you want the demo?"
It was from L. He arranges my music and adds lyrics.
"Yes please," I wrote back. He sent the file, and I pressed play.
A harsh, but sweet melody flooded the room. The composition flowed smoothly with the arrangements L did.
"Thank you, L. It sounds good," I typed.
"I'm glad. I think I'm going to log off," he typed back.
So early? That's weird…"Get some sleep! You must be tired, but it sounds good though," typed Nyad.
"Yeah, I heard you had class tomorrow, so rest well," added PIX.
Nyad works with our other member, PIX. Nyad does the art while PIX does the editing.
We post songs and music videos on our shared account, S25. Usually I get slightly more of the cut we make due to my living situation, but I still make sure to give them the amount they deserve too.
We've never met each other face to face, but I find joy in working with the three of them.
Even with that, I'm not doing this for fun.
I must compose.
Lloyd Asahina
I logged off the computer.
I am Lloyd Asahina, a second year high school student.
I glanced at the sheet of music on my desk, then the workbook that’s shoved to the floor.
Guess I should do that then, huh?
I slowly and miserably picked up the book from the ground, then placed it on my desk.
But I couldn't open it.
I didn't want to open it.
But I had to, didn't I?
I had to.
I ended up finishing the notes and assignments I was supposed to take next week.
Hopefully that will be enough…
My mother called from the hallway. "Lloyd? Are you still awake?"
"Yeah. Just finishing some things for next week," I said.
She softly opened the door. "Good. I don't want you being all caught up with those people online again. You know what happened last time. You're so talented and gifted, and I want the best for you… okay?"
It's hard to fight with her. I gave up a long time ago. Now I only hide.
"Yes, mom," I replied.
My mother is Dr. Misako Asahina. She is one of the most famous and world renowned doctors in the world. She has no interest in music, and expects me to take a similar career to her.
But I don't know what I want to do. I don't know who I am.
What do I want to be…?
But I continue to do whatever she says. I don't know why. I just can't defy her, no matter how hard I want to.
I'm supposed to be the best for everyone around me. Why stop now…?
I haven't known myself for a long time now. It's nothing new to feel like this.I can't help it. I still hate it.
But if that's the case, why can't I leave it…?Deep down, I knew the truth.I could not escape.
I have been forever alone.
I hate it.
I hate myself.
I have lost who I am.
Nya Shinonome
For forever, I have wanted to become an artist.
I have many names.
Nya Shinonome, for one.
But I can also be Kai’s sister, a little girl, the loner, etc.
I am all of them.
Yet I am none of what I want to be.
I do not go to school during the day.
I have never been able to choose my own path.
When I try, I am constantly told I’m not good enough.
I should give up.
I should stop trying.
I am not talented.
I am not valued.
But I persevere.
My destiny should be what I make. Not what anyone else says. I will be good enough. I can be good enough.
But am I really?
Yes, I always tell myself.
As I tell myself this again, I get a text message from PIX in the chat.
“Hey Nyad, can I see the storyboard you were working on for the next song?”
I quickly sent her the progress I’d made so far. “Here.”
“Thanks! You’re so talented, I’d never be like you,” she responded.
That made me feel a bit better.
Sometimes it does get hard.
Sometimes I feel like I can’t do anything right.
Sometimes I feel completely and utterly useless.
Sometimes I just feel like I want to disappear.
It’s the worst feeling in the world.
But I need to prove everyone who doubted me wrong. It doesn’t matter who tells me I can’t do it.
My parents, my teachers, my brother, none of them.
I will pursue my dream.
Even if it means I’ll have to fight all the doubts clouding my head.
Pixal Akiyama
I sighed.
Everyone else had logged off already.
What do I do now..?
I looked at my bag and remembered the schoolwork due next week.
"I really don't want to do that right now…"
I tried to ignore it and started working on the new music video. My name is Pixal Akiyama. I am a first year high school student.
I use my friend Nyad's art in edits for Rue and L's songs. Lately my inspiration has been lacking. I'm not sure why.
School life isn't much better either. It's been a while since I've talked to Sora… I noticed an influx in people calling me names and avoiding me too. I'm always excluded and made fun of.
I don't know why.
I miss my dad…
My dad is Cyrus Akiyama, a clothing designer with a very different approach to styles. He moved away to work for his company a few months ago.
I haven't had many people to talk to recently.
I miss talking.
It's been so long…
I miss having people to confide in. To run to. To trust.
No one accepts me. And no one will.
I am alone. Forever and ever.

honestly carlos also isn’t that impressive when you look at the calibre of drivers ferrari have hired in let’s say the past 2 decades… seb, alonso, kimi, micheal, barrichello are all either world champions or (for barrichello) finished at least 2nd in the wdc (and here we can include charles also!) so if we’re just looking at wdc positions carlos is the weakest ferrari driver in 20 years. it’s ferrari… the standards are different
anyw this is a bit divisive so i understand if udw to reply!
Hello 👋🏻😊
No worries! I see what you're saying. I think the thing with Ferrari is though... I mean, obviously they will always be a legendary marque with plenty of historical successes, and as much as one can pretend that doesn't move them, you can't deny the appeal of wanting to be part of that, wanting to experience a slice of that and be immortalized in the history books yourself. I also think there's a bit of a "I can fix her" aspect at play here, this tantalizing idea that you can be the one to restore Ferrari to end the title drought and bring the trophy back to Maranello, to do the one thing so many others failed to do.
Which kind of brings me to my next point which is that... legendary status aside, I think their stock has kind of fallen in the last few years. Particularly in that 2020-21 period where they came crashing down and then had to rebuild and they already knew they wouldn't be anywhere close to being championship contenders.
I mean every year we see the stats and the "it's been X years since Ferrari's last championship" stuff going around. The 2010s and early 2020s just haven't been a great time for the team. They've had some highs but generally they're probably remembered for the lows (unfortunately.) They've had two (three, if you count 2022) failed title bids that fizzled out before the end of the season. There's been a lot of staff turnover (including TPs), lots of chaos behind the scenes with people trying to do things their way in hopes of breaking the cycle (Binotto.) It's like it's always close but no cigar, if that makes sense.
So at the time they were looking for a replacement for Seb, let's say early 2020 (unbeknownst to us at the time, because the narrative was that they intended to stick with him and then Covid complicated things...) I think they 1. just were not an attractive option for drivers of a similar caliber/world champions. Max wasn't going to move after getting stuck in at Red Bull and Mercedes were having their heyday so Lewis wasn't about to walk either. The only other WDC on the grid at the time was Kimi iirc, whom they had just recently let go to bring in Charles. And 2. I think they were trying to sort of shake things up and almost forge a new identity. They took a chance on Charles, doing something they traditionally wouldn't have resorted to, bringing in a wet behind the ears driver in just his second year of F1. Of course he was their academy driver, he did sim work for them, test-drove their cars and was generally familiar with the people and the environment and factory and everything so it's not like they plucked him out of nowhere, but still, it was unlike them, and many pointed out that they were flipping the script with this move.
Again hearkening back to a point I made previously, on paper Carlos seems like a pretty solid driver and more or less along the lines of what they needed at that time. He generally had a good time at McLaren, he was beating Lando (a rookie but still) and was being praised for his professionalism and team player attitude (little did we know.)
I think the only other name that was mentioned as having credible talks with them at the time was Daniel, who maybe would've been more in line with what we came to expect from their signings (so a driver with more experience and actual race wins under his belt. Not WDC though.)
There was also very much this perception that they were going to go all in and build the team around Charles as their no. 1, so they didn't really need a senior driver he could learn from anymore (they already had that in Seb) but rather someone to back him up. (Obviously things uh. Didn't quite pan out that way but.)
I remember there was a stat going around about how Charles and Carlos were Ferrari's youngest driver pairing since like 1968, which is kind of insane. So I think they also kind of used that to launch their new era where they kind of tried to re-brand themselves as this team that's betting on young, fresh talent.
Now they seem to be on the up again with the development direction, new TP and a surprise juggernaut lineup for 25-26 so there's this sense (and hope) that they're heading towards building something akin to the dominant, iconic team of the early 2000s.
All in all it was a decently long partnership, especially considering the state of modern F1 and the near-constant silly season and people getting short-term contracts, lots of academy drivers waiting in the wings and stuff. Carlos himself was a serial team-hopper so to speak before getting the Ferrari seat, the longest he's been with one team so far in his career I believe? Will this lineup be considered a standout Ferrari lineup some 10, 15 years down the line? Probably not, especially sandwiched in between two WDC drivers and falling in this no man's land period with no titles and few wins (as of right now, who knows what happens this season). But all in all I think Carlos's four season stint with Ferrari is pretty much an accurate reflection of where they were at that moment in time.

So, for the WIP Title Tag Game, I want I know more about the following:
Pinocchio and the Trickster Roleplay movie rewrite with spideypool VHS Cannibalism/Hunting Horror OG Story The Witch King Chronicles OG Water Dragon Horror OG Story Vessel Fic Trek-Expanse Verse
that’s a lot but I’m very curious. @spn-fanfic-reblog-writes
Hiii
Thanks so much for asking, I love talking about my WIPs especially my original works!
Pinocchio and the Trickster
This is a really new WIP that came out of a soulless Sam and Gabe smut fic I wrote, Choke Me Like It Matters, where Sam and Gabe have a history of being lets say frenemies with benefits. During Choke Me Gabe takes to calling Sam Pinocchio which is where I got the title and also suggests that he's sticking around for a while because he doesn't really have anywhere to go and a less uppity Sam is more fun even if he thinks he's an ass without his soul. Soulless Sam agrees if only for the fact that Gabe is better with humans and could make interactions easier. I haven't written much more than a diner scene where the two finally talk for more than an five seconds. Throughout writing it I really enjoyed playing a very morally flexible Gabriel who was a little dark, but still not too dark, and was much more Trickster than Archangel and Soulless Sam. Its been really fun to play around with, but I'm not a 100% where its going.
Role Play movie rewrite with spideypool
Oh yesss, this one, I am very excited for this one. I love spideypool. I just have a special place in my heart forever more. I miss writing them and when I watched Role Play (which I recommend if you want some fun, Kaley Cuoco was great) I instantly thought of Spideypool. The movie's about a family, where the mother has a secret job as an assassin who's went out on her own but wants to get out more and gets her cover blown, everything kinda spirals from there. It's funny, its cute, there is a lot of action, and I adore their relationship throughout the movie. There was this one part that just reminded me of Peter so much about how "killing is bad, and you should definitely not do that anymore... after we get out of this alive." Doing a rewrite with them has been slowly simmering in the background of my thoughts and hopefully, I'll have time to write it soon. It would be so nice to write for them again.
VHS Cannibalism/Hunting Horror OG Story
Thank you for asking about this one! I don't often get to talk about my horror stuff. This is an original short story idea that my friend asked me to write and I just haven't finished it yet. Maybe for the spooky season. She wanted a story about a woman who's father died. As she's cleaning up his hunting cabin, deciding what to do with it, and she finds a bunch of old tapes labeled hunting trips with a few years marked on them. She of course misses her father greatly and watches them. The more she watches, the more she realizes that all of those wonderful dinners with her father and his hunting buddies weren't the meals she thought they were. It's probably gonna be grisly especially since she said she didn't care if the woman lived at the end.
The Witch King Chronicles OG
Thank you for asking about Witch King, I need to find more time to flush this out. I originally planned it to be a fanfic but the more I worked on the lore, backstory, characters, and moral of the story, the more I realized it was its own thing. Its a bit of horror, dystopia, fantasy, and sci-fi. I'm pretty sure if I ever get it published it would be a series or a very long book, but it spans a very very long time and begins with the focus on a cursed spellbook found on a planet that seems to be driving the new colonist mad. No one really remembers who owned it, there are rumors since it's such a powerful book, but too much time passed, and it was originally made light years away from where its found. This is where everything starts, Terrence, one of the main characters, does remember and makes sure he is the one tasked with removing the book and taking it to the Collective for "safe keeping". He doesn't, and it starts a very long journey to find out how to properly destroy it relying on legends, old stories, and trusting an old alien he really probably shouldn't.
Water Dragon Horror OG Story
Oh I wish I had gotten further with this one. I'm pretty sure this one started based off a conversation on my discord server with @lucathepanman and @huntressandlioness1 maybe? It was about the biggest lake in the world that is so large and that there weren't enough water dragon stories out there. The doc is a lot of notes about lore for the lake, lore about water dragons, and the beginning of mapping out a story for a sacrifice gone wrong, but I really haven't had a lot of time to work on it >>"
Vessel Fic
This is a fun one! I answered an ask about this one, which you can find here. Hopefully I'll write some more on it soon since I've been fiddling around with it more lately or at least give it a proper title.
Trek-Expanse Verse
Oh, this one I haven't touched in so long, honestly kinda forgot about it. This is one I was working on with my husband, its a bit of mash up of the expanse and trek universes. I think the last time we sat down and worked on it we figured out the adjusted timeline for things and the ships we both wanted to see between both verses, and what people we really wanted to see, since I wasn't sure how many I would write of it and there are so many great star trek characters.
Thanks again for asking, it was wonderful to talk about these. <3

Isekai Ogiri May 2023 [What are Vector and Vanilla doing...? ]
“Give me five!” It was my father who dashed into the sales line with a smug look on his face.
Two characters appear every month in surprising outfits and situations! Let's enjoy Ogiri together with illustrations that will make your imagination run wild!
This time, Vector, who looks like an American comic book hero, and Vanilla, who looks like an adult, appear! Who is this mysterious giant robot that is approaching far beyond the night city?
What kind of lines or narration would you use?
You can style it based on the atmosphere and world view of the two of you in the game, or you can create a bold arrangement! In the example, it's a disappointing father who is trying to buy 5 items without interrupting... Any kind of free gleeful material is also OK!
Please enjoy it and tweet with the tag "#Isekai Ogiri" on Twitter ♪
We will introduce the good ones in a reply from Sonic's official Twitter account.
We are looking forward to your fun Ogiri posts!
Act5: “My Vectorman”
``Vectorman's accomplishment! Save the city again! ”
A lively downtown area at dusk. There was a beautiful rabbit woman in a glamorous outfit slowly walking past a newsstand distributing special editions of the mysterious hero ``Vectorman.''
she is vanilla She is the famous mama of a very popular bar, and the bar is crowded every day with customers looking for her home-cooked meals. Then she enters a room in a dirty multi-tenant building that doesn't match her beauty.
On the door was scrawled in magic marker the words ``Vector Detective Agency.''
"Daughter...couldn't you be of help?"
Vanilla tilts her head slightly and opens her mouth with a look of sadness in her eyes. The man who was asked the question answered awkwardly while straightening his tangled suit.
“No, the young lady is very talented.”
A giant detective named ``Vector the Crocodile'' used Vanilla's daughter Cream as his assistant, but the other day he gave her some free time. Vanilla had come to talk to him directly to get him to reconsider.
"After all, most of my work is done by my daughter...Gosh! Anyway, detective work is hard work that comes with danger."
I quickly stand up, bend the window blinds with my fingers with a grim expression, and stare aimlessly at the night view. decided......! Vector thought that, but Vanilla continued regardless.
"But this town is protected by Vectorman, so it's safe, right? Besides, it seems like you have a lot of free time to work... My child just wants to play with you and doesn't need a paycheck. No. Could you please reconsider?”
After he finished saying that slowly, he looked at Vector with a smile that had no trace of malice in it.
"Vector Man, that's just a fake urban legend. Besides, I'm a rootless beast. There will come a time when I'll have to leave here... It's definitely not because I'm behind on my rent... ..”
Although Vector was upset, he reluctantly tried to make a decision...
<< Gugyurururu~... >>
The relentless rumbling of his stomach makes all of your efforts come to nothing.
"Actually, I haven't eaten anything since yesterday..."
Vector sinks while playing the second and third notes. Vanilla let out a gentle sigh and placed the large paper box she had brought on the table.
"Please enjoy it. It's a bento box that we serve at my restaurant."
“Don’t hold back!”
He immediately puts his hands together and begins to eat heartily with tears in his eyes... Seeing this, Vanilla decides to go back and let Vector eat slowly.
"You have to eat properly, right? If you're too hungry, you'll feel drained to the core, right?"
Vector had no words to respond.
The next night.
“Shh, it’s an attack!”
The city is engulfed in flames and roars... A giant robot suddenly appears and attacks the city! People were running away...and in the midst of them was Vanilla, who was on her way to work.
Then the robot swings its giant fist. The moment when her legs trembled and she couldn't move, she lowered her eyes...!
<< Gakiin! >>
Heavy impact sound.
"It's okay now, ma'am."
When Vanilla realized she was safe and opened her eyes, what she saw was...
It was the image of the hero of justice ``Vectorman'', who blocked the robot's fist right in front of his eyes and stood valiantly in his bright red cloak!
"Hey! That big robot egg guy!"
Vectorman shakes off the robot's fist and dashes. The robot tries to crush the two with its giant feet, but Vectorman doesn't dodge...
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
A flash of justice gathers into a fist!
"Vector's V is the V of victory! Special attack! Victory punch! Huge!"
<< Boom! >>
The light fist pierces the robot's torso and explodes! It looked like he was going to look cool with the flames behind him, but...
<< Gugyurururu~... >>
As soon as Vectorman hears the sound of his stomach, he loses his transformation and collapses.
"Hara, it's so bad..."
Vanilla ran towards her and saw Vector's weakened form.
"Huh...hey ma'am, what a coincidence."
Vanilla asked with some confusion as Vector was still trying to hide his true identity.
"No way... nothing from yesterday's lunch box...?"
When Vanilla hands him his lunch box, he begins to gulp it down absentmindedly. And she understood everything.
Vectorman's true identity is Vector. Vanilla is saddened by the fact that he was secretly in trouble while protecting the city without being paid, and that he kept it a secret and continued to fight alone.
He must have kept Cream away because he was worried that she was in danger.
Vector shyly laughs to himself next to Vanille, who wants to do something about it.
"I can't help it...I have to eat properly after all...sigh."
At that time. When Vanilla heard that, a wonderful thought occurred to her.
"Vector-san! I have a suggestion..."
Since that day, Cream has returned to work as a "lunch box attendant." She goes to Vector's office every day.
Vector (Man) protects the city and Cream, and in exchange for Cream's help, Vanilla provides him with a nutritious lunch box. This promise is a secret exclusive to Vector and Vanilla.
``Vectorman's accomplishment! Save the city again! ”
Vectorman's activities are being reported on TV today as well.
His popularity has skyrocketed as his face has recently become more radiant. Now I'm a big fan of Cream, and I'm always watching the featured section on my favorite show, ``Next Show.''
And sometimes, whenever Cream would ask why Vectorman was so strong, Vanilla would proudly answer,
“I wonder if it’s because I’m eating properly!”
"The matter is settled..."
A nice guy who lacks money and is full of manliness, and a kind ``mom'' who loves cooking. Vector and Vanilla's personalities remained the same, but they also seemed to be greatly affected by the change.
What is the source of Vectorman's power? Is there some secret behind that belt?
Where did the attacking robot weapons come from? Even as new facts emerge, the mystery continues to deepen. Is it possible to resolve this situation...?

Backstory
Lilavati left her extremely controlling family after leaving for college to major in Economics, where she met Adrian Raines, and the two became close friends (she was already dating Lyra's father and unknowingly pregnant). As far as her family knows, she's a Board Member/Head of Business for Raines Corporation. In actuality, she's a witch who eventually started working as a kind of supernatural diplomat to ensure peace between supernatural beings, which ended up being for the NYC vampire clans. She's under the vampire clans' protection (but she associates most with Adrian since they're the closest). She was extremely happy for Adrian when he met Evie and fell deeply in love with her. After Lyra is born, she asks Adrian and Evie to be her godparents. In my head, Evie shows up at some point during Nightbound in the Priya Lacroix scene and mentions how much Lyra reminded her of her mother (it took Lyra a second to recognize who Evie was because it's been a while but she knew Evie was a familiar figure). Antonio blames Adrian and Evie (and the rest of the BB crew) for his wife's death and ensures they stay away from his daughter by moving to a smaller home in LA.
Fun Facts:
She's a very talented Carnatic singer! Her extended family wanted her to continue but as much as she loves to sing, she didn’t want to pursue it as part of her future
She is fluent in English and Spanish but proficient in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Dravokian. She learned Spanish from her father and Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil from her mother. Her parents spoke those languages at home alongside English, but she became less fluent in the languages her mother spoke after she died. And after marrying Trystan, she obviously learned Drakovian
She’s from a wealthy family, or technically her mother was, but she left her old life to have her freedom before Lyra’s older cousins were even born. Lyra herself has an even larger inheritance after her mother died, but her father didn’t feel comfortable using her family money “irresponsibly.” She plans to use that money for her education.

do you like reading fantasy? do you like magical swords, wizards and dragons? do you want to get into anime/manga but dont know how? well im a weeb and a fantasy nerd who has nothing better to do so here are some recs ig
Do you like the Cosmere for the convoluted magical systems and the creative ways the magic is used in fights? Watch Jujutsu Kaisen. First season has 24 episodes, there is one prequel movie (good place to start too) and a second season coming soon. You could also read the manga, but I personally think the anime is easier to follow and overall more enjoyable to me (on the other hand, the manga comes with Extensive notes on how the magic works so you might prefer that). Another good show is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (on Netflix, 64 episodes).
Do you like the Cosmere for the interconnected large universe and The Lore(tm)? Get into Fate. You know how Cosmere fans loooove talking about timelines and where to start with the Cosmere? You can do that again with Fate, even more complicated this time! A good place to start would be either Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works or Fate/Zero. Both are on Netflix, UBW has 26 episodes and Zero has 25. You could go straight to the source material, the visual novels, but I haven't played them so I can't talk about them.
Do you like Realm of the Elderlings, or historical fantasy? Watch Vinland Saga. The first season has 24 episodes, second one is currently coming out weekly (close to finishing), and it is on Netflix. Haven't read the manga but it seems to have some really good art. Another option would be (I think) Berserk, but since I haven't read/watched that, I can't really say. SIDENOTE but if you like Black Sails you should also check out Vinland Saga im so serious. BS isnt fantasy but i needed to get that out there.
Do you like The Locked Tomb? This one is quite obvious but watch Revolutionary Girl Utena, it inspired the books *a lot*. It has 39 episodes, a movie and a manga, general consensus is that the manga is not very good so just watch the show. Look up trigger warnings. And you might also want to check out Puella Magi Madoka Magica (the original show has just 12 episodes, theres a lot of extra content but I have not seen/read the rest so i would say its not necessary).
Do you like an epic adventure and a giant world filled with amazing places to explore? Completely unironically you SHOULD read or watch One Piece. Fantasy fans already get into gargantuan book series with thousands of pages what is a thousand episodes to you? I assure you it is worth it. Hunter x Hunter is also good, I can't say much about it because I just started it recently.
More general recs under read more.
Little Witch Academia. Cute fluffy show about teenage witches. Some similarities with The Owl House on Disney.
Witch Hat Atelier. Manga only for now, follows a young girl who gets taken in as a witch's apprentice, has some darker elements.
Re: Zero. Guy from our world gets sent to another world and then dies a bunch of times. Psychological horror in a fantasy setting.
Akatsuki no Yona. Princess goes on an adventure to find legendary dragons and save her kingdom. Some romance.
Vanitas no Carte. Vampires in a steampunk setting. Gay (?)
Black Clover. Basically whatever you think Naruto is about, but shorter and more goofy. Boy with no magic wants to the greatest wizard of all time, gets beefy.
Ghibli movies: Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, Princess Mononoke, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, The Castle in the Sky, The Cat Returns, Spirited Away. These movies are more on the magical realism / low fantasy side.
Noragami. Supernatural. Gods and spirits are real and walk among us, the story follows a god who has no followers and a girl who accidentally becomes half-spirit. Some cool fights. Really great music.
Shadows House. Creepy house where shadow people live, along with their "living dolls".
Dungeon Meshi. Manga with upcoming anime, havent read it but seems like a fun adventure with some horror elements (?) but mostly about cooking and monsters.

Ramble about my day today + Photos
FACE REVEAL BELOW IF YA DONT WANNA SEE, KINDA VENTY AT SOME PARTS
Morning was about the same, but it looked pretty as always. Cloudy sky's, humid air, the sound of crickets. I saw my friends cat outside her house this morning so I pet him again and even took a video of him I posted a while ago. I ended up taking the bus like usual, listened to some music on the way, took some photos, and when I got to school, I just ended up having Gatorade again for breakfast as my friends talked and also complimented my new haircut./lh
(One of them said I looked like a Victorian woman lol)
(New haircut—)
Tumblr media
Psychology came once again. I got kinda scolded for having my headphones on without realizing, but it's fine kdndnsn. I didn't have a dream last night, so I fortunately had nothing to write down for my assignment regarding my dreams this day. We ended up just having some light hearted banter though, and were told to write about something we like and why. So.. I ended up writing a (technically) two page essay about spooky month that I finished in like fifteen minutes. And then just spent the rest of the time playing roblox on my phone during advisory because the site I use to work on Geometry stuff was being laggy.
Spanish came around after—and we didn't get much done, but we kinda just went over the stuff we're gonna be doing to help us learn for the subject itself and weren't able to go over a story in Spanish our teacher was gonna read us. I also said hi to my Geometry teacher during the beginning period of second period, and my Spanish teacher complimented my haircut./lh
Chemistry came around, and not a lot happened aside from filling out a bunch of notes and cutting out stuff we're apparently gonna use later. But it was fun since I was able to listen in on some funny conversation, and also one of my friends only just now noticed my spooky month hoodie./lh
Technology came around. We're supposed to be coming up with concepts for an animation movie, so I wrote a concept for an animated movie where the main character is a sassy sarcastic easily anxious female cashier who gets isekai'd into a stereotypical fantasy world (the cashier is inspired by Kevin kdndndn). I finished rather quickly, so I spent the rest of the time working on the Hot To Go comic.
Didn't do much for lunch, aside from play roblox and eat some chips while my friends talked. They were saying some pretty bad stuff though like usual, so I kinda tuned em out. I know they're just teens like me and act all edgy and will one day learn their lesson, but Jesus fucking christ it's really hard to remember that sometimes. The only reason I haven't said anything about it is because I'm scared of what they might do to me if they don't take my concerns that well.
English came around—we read our books for a little while, and ended up playing a somewhat stressful but rather fun game where we have to circle a bunch of tiny/giant numbers on a paper in order. And my team ended up being the winning one. We weren't able to read the book we're supposed to be reading cuz of how long the game went on for tho.
Theater also came around—where we were all grouped up into four, and because my table had six, I split up to a different table with this guy, his partner, and some random dude. The assignment was to do our skit, and our prompt was someone being pulled over by a British journalist (changed to a cop for our skit). We weren't given enough time to prepare so we had to improv, and I was the British oddly gruff uncomfortable police officer who basically interrogated this guy as his cat just wondered around the car. We played 'Freeze' during the last minutes of class, and I got to change the three 3 times—with the scene changes being me as a arrogant classist person accusing someone of not being good enough for their daughter, a Disney channel bully, and an eldritch crab entity that growled and chased people around. The random dude I partnered up with said I was just too good for everyone since they kept kicking me out like a few seconds in and seemed to find me funny.
Geometry was kinda boring as per usual—with me just working on different Geometry stuff online as my teacher sort of bothered other people in an attempt to be friendly and ended up just arguing with some random student because he accused him of 'doing nothing all day'. And he also started getting really political for some reason. And going on about how much he loves America.
The last period was World History, where I joked around with one of my friends and finished an assignment I was working on with him. Then we filled in some notes about what we learnt so far, but we didn't have much time left, so we're just gonna be working on them tomorrow.
..today was kinda meh.

🩵💜 Things I love about New Gen 💜🩵
First of all, I really like the variety in customizing your Sucrette and her room. Having the opportunity to access so many wigs, clothes and furniture from the beginning makes everything feel more like my own, I always wanted to be able to decorate my room in the previous MCL, so that it felt more similar to the personality and tastes of my Sucrette as I imagined, so it's a great addition.
Tumblr media
Second, regarding the characters, I'm totally in love with Jason (and that's not a secret here XD). I never thought I would become as obsessed with a character in Mcl as I did with Castiel, and then along came Jason! And here I am, writing theories in each chapter about him, wondering intrigued about his backstory and how the romantic dynamic with my Sucrette will be like, reading fanfics about him and excited every time I see some new fanart of him. I admit that I tend to have a tendency in otome games to almost always choose as the main crush the complicated character, the bad boy, or the secret route, the one who has a dramatic backstory or the one who is difficult and unpredictable in some way, that's why I chose in previous games Castiel, Nathaniel, Leiftan (Lysander was my exception here XD). Also, I love charismatic and sarcastic villains, and I also love the Enemies to Lovers trope, I'm a big fan of romances in books with this dynamic and I always wanted to play something like that in an otome, but I didn't have the chance before. I love his illustrations, his dialogues are generally quite funny (he always makes me smile and giggle when he appears), I love his elegant design and his evil smirk, I like that his scenes in the chapters have a different flavor, being so different sometimes compared to other characters. I also really like other characters like Thomas, Amanda, Brune and Elenda! And I love talking to them, Thomas because he's quite unpredictable and surprises me and makes me laugh often and because he's very unique, Amanda is very cute and sweet when you do scenes with her, Brune is a goddess, and Elenda is so charming and her design is so pretty! I'm also very curious to meet other characters like Danica and Spencer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Third: the music! I really like that each situation -depending on whether it is calm, funny, dramatic, etc.- has its own soundtrack, it gives a more appropriate atmosphere to each scene and helps me get into the story, as if it were an anime. My favorite soundtracks are Uncle Archival's and Jason's, they are very peculiar and provide even more charisma to the characters.
Fourth: mobile messages! I love so much that they included this in the game! Every time I finish an episode I'm always eager to know what my crushes will tell me in the messages, and that also makes the waiting time between episodes more enjoyable.
Fifth: the illustrations! Most of them are really beautiful, I've always liked the art style in Mcl, and all the characters look very attractive in the images. In addition, the backgrounds in the stages are also very detailed and colorful.
And I love seeing the Mcl fan community so active again. The new game has brought in both new players and many old players back, and I really love seeing so many people excited about a new story again and chatting about it. I've met some wonderful people in this fandom and I'm having a great time, especially on Tumblr and discord, I haven't had a feeling like that since HSL season when I was on the forum ^^

A/N: PART 17 of the Bedlam au!
X
After the dragon cave incident, Haru keeps her visits short, and learns to read the numbness before it spreads too far.
It makes joining the Bureau on cases difficult, and then improbable, and then impossible. The paralysation creeps on quicker each time, as if her immunity against the other world is wearing thin, and eventually she has to concede that she is more a hazard than a help.
Sometimes when she visits, the Bureau is empty – "chasing down another lead" the note on the desk says – and other times they sit side-by-side, searching through more of the Bureau's many books for a possible cure. The Bureau becomes a second home, in a way even her local one never quite achieved.
She comes to know where all the cupboards lead, to know all Muta's hiding spots (behind the copy of War and Peace, and underneath the snowglobe on the mantelpiece), to even understand Baron's strange filing system.
It becomes an effort, even, to remind herself that this is the Other Bureau, because somewhere along the way it has just become her Bureau.
Another fruitless search comes to an end (this time delving through the Other Bureau's previous cases) and Haru drops her head back against the Other Baron's shoulder. "You'd think with how easily I found my way here, there'd be more incidences where we met people from other parallel worlds."
"Your case was unique; the Sanctuary used its magic to create a doorway, but it would be beyond the power of most individuals." The Other Baron pauses; Haru can feel the steady rise and fall of his chest. "Of course, there is always another explanation."
"Hm?"
"Perhaps the reason we've never encountered another person from a parallel world is because it's impossible for them to survive here. Perhaps there is no solution."
Haru leans abruptly away, staring balefully at the Other Baron. "You told me you wouldn't give up."
"I'm not. I just..." His fingers intertwine with hers. "I just have to consider every possibility. We're running out of time before it becomes an impossibility for you to even enter our world."
She wants to deny it, wants to pretend it isn't so, but that's all her refusal would be – pretend.
The gramophone, which has been softly playing music through their research, finishes one song and softly begins the next. With the first few notes, Haru immediately recognises it. It's one she's played many times over the years, one that perhaps she played too many times in the week following her dismissal from the Bureau.
And by the way the Other Baron pauses, she guesses the Cat Kingdom likes this song in multiple universes.
"You too?" he asks softly
Haru blushes. "It's silly. The first time I fell for him, it was only a schoolgirl's crush, and yet I can't help thinking of this as our song. I suppose it's because this song was the moment I fell, whereas the second time..." The second time ended with a far uglier rejection. "The second time there wasn't really a single, standalone moment, you know? It just kinda crept up on me until suddenly, boom, I realised I was in love."
"Did you ever tell him that?"
"Yeah, and you know how it ended–"
"No, I mean this song," the Other Baron says. "Did you ever tell him what it meant to you?"
Haru smiles wanly. "No, and after my last encounter with him, I doubt it would have done much except make him self-conscious. Instead, I just did what any lovesick fool would do and listen to it on repeat far too often."
The Other Baron doesn't chorus her self-deprecating laugh, but sits pensive. "And I suppose you're going to tell me that you never danced to this song again?"
"No. Why would we? It's not like it had any major impression on him–"
In a moment, he has risen to his feet and swept Haru up to hers. His hands find with ease the hold for a waltz. "Then what say you to our remedying that?"
Haru blushes again, but this time is accompanied by a roguish grin. "Fine. But I should warn you I haven't waltzed since the Cat Kingdom. I'll probably be even worse than last time."
The Other Baron grins back, equally roguish, and pulls her into the beginning of a vaguely-familiar dance. "Perhaps you simply haven't found the right partner yet."
Haru wrinkles her nose. "I don't think that's actually how it works? I'm fairly certain things like practice and knowing your partner come into it somewhere."
"I know you."
"You knew a Haru who had probably danced more than once in the last decade," she returns and, entirely accidentally but still perfectly proving her point, she steps on his foot. "See?"
"That's because you're thinking too hard about it," the Other Baron says. "Just relax, and let the music guide you."
"Also fairly sure that's not how it works either."
He leans in and Haru's heart traitorously beats in double-time. "Just trust me."
With a request like that, how can she refuse?
She exhales, and she stops recounting her meagre waltzing knowledge, she stops tracking her steps, she stops trying – and suddenly, she is dancing. As if pulled by invisible strings, her feet seem to know the moves, and she effortlessly moves in tandem with the Other Baron. She throws back her head and laughs as she spins away from her partner, feet finding sure ground.
"See?" the Other Baron purrs as he draws her back in. "All it takes is the right partner."
She tilts her head back, ready to shoot a reply – and then falters as she catches sight of the beetle-black buttons.
She realises she has half been expecting (or hoping?) to see green. The guilt is short-lived, for her left leg seizes up with another bout of paralysation, and the Other Baron has to catch her before she falls. He cradles her in his arms as they both sink to the floor. The last few notes of Katzen Blut fade away.
"We'll find a way," he promises. "We'll find a way."

THE LETTER - An Epilouge To Fourth Wing - Part 1 - Part 2
Story Summary-
Twenty year old Sloane Mairi, sister to Liam Mairi, and daughter of Colonel Mairi and Isaac Mairi, Awaits her brothers first letter of his second year, before she can leave for the Riders Quadrant and see him again.
I sit in my room that I share with four other, younger girls, along the window seat where I have just received a new book from the market in Alrysben. I should be packing what I can in a rucksack, but I'm reading, because if I don't read what I have now, I never will.
Xaden sent a letter telling me to pack light, no books, whatever knives I still have from my mother, as well as my Tyrrish Stone that my mother gave all the marked children before the execution, because of course Xaden knows I still have it, both Liam and I do, it's the only thing we still have from our mother.
All of my other possessions consist of things Xaden, Liam and my fostered sisters have gotten me for my birthdays over the years, as well as my letter book-  it consists of every letter I've received since I was six- and the few things Lady Burnam has gotten us.
Though Lady Burnam is a temperamental woman- when Eya was here, she had had more than a few screaming matches with her - she is kind to all of the younger girls and boys that live with us.
At least I can see Liam in a few days. I think as Kahla and Bryn run through the room, playing what appears to be pretend dragon riders, Helena sits down next to me, her bobbed red hair bouncing as she slumps, then places a hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, have you finished packing yet?" She's two years younger than me, and the only other I share the room with. I shake my head and close my book.
"I still have a few days," I pause, then look up to the door, where the mail carrier sits, divying up who's mail is whose, "I'm trying to read what I can of this book before I leave."
She scoffs, "Read, read, read, that's all you ever do, Dear Dunne, you won't last in the Quadrant." Her gaze shifts, "If only they'd let you become a scribe."
I shrug my shoulders and breathe through the impending fear that seems to stay in my chests these days.
Fynn opens the door, his hand over his eyes, "Are you guys dressed?" He asks. When Bryn shouts yes, he picks her up from behind the door, "Good!" He spins his little sister around. He'll be leaving with me for the Quadrant, and hopefully, I pray, he will cross the Parapet safely.
I clear my throat and gesture my hand to the open door, and Fynn sets down his sister, his skin is dark, like Bodhi or Xaden, but a tad bit lighter, "Right, sorry, Lady Burnam wants all of us that are leaving to come down to her office." He answers. I nod and dust off my stuffy uniform from home-study as I set down my book.
I glance back to Helena, and nod with a smile, then call out to the girls before I exit, "Don't be too much trouble for Helena while I'm gone! I'll be back you know!" I call out, and the girls giggle.
We walk the long halls in silence, I don't know Fynn well, but I know he fought like hell to make sure he got here with Bryn. The last six years haven't been easy, I know I miss Liam every day, but at least Fynn and Bryn weren't apart.
"Are you ready?" He asks, trying to fill the voided silence.
I let out a self-deprecating laugh, "Me? The five-foot-six, skinny, blonde daughter of Colonel Deriana Mairi, who sucks at doing anything but swinging with a sword, ready?" His pace slows and he worrys with his hands.
"You're good at stuff, like a lot of stuff, and you're great at battle practice, well not Emek great, but you're good!" He tries to comfort. He continues walking, the asks another question, "Are you excited to see Liam?" I nod eagerly.
"It's going to be great, Xaden wrote me a few months ago saying that he bonded a red daggertail named Deigh."
"Xaden still writes?" He asks with a slight laugh.
"Well he writes me for Liam, to make sure that we are both doing okay, and also because we grew up in Aretia together, so we're kind of close." I respond.
"Ah, I can't even remember the last letter I got from him, it was before he left, but after his first check in letter." When we had all been separated, Xaden, Garrick, Liam, and Bodhi had all sent every marked child of the Apostate, a letter to check in, ask how we were settling in, and if we were sleeping good.
We reach the end of the hallway, where Lady Burnam's office sits, filled with the three other boys who will leave with me for the Riders Quadrant.
Lady Burnam turns in the chair that she sits in for all but six hours of the day. "Good Evening dears!" She clasps her hands together, and smiles, "Have you all finished packing?" I am really tired of getting asked this question today.
Everyone else nods in murmered agreements besides me. Lady Burnam turns her hand in a gesture, "Sloane? Is that right? Did you finish packing?" I shake my head, and answer.
"No ma'am, I'm going to pack tonight."
She nods, her green gaze catching mine, "Good, good. Well that's all I really wanted to check in with, well, that, and to wish you all good luck, I'll be praying to Zihnal for all of you."
We all give quick thanks before we are dismissed. Dinner starts in an hour, and it might as well be our goodbye dinner, despite that being in three days, when we board a cart for Basgaith.
When I renter our room, the girls are sitting reading through their history textbook, and Helena is sharpening a Tyrrish dagger.
I fall back onto my bed, and let out an exasperated sigh. Helena looks up from sharpening, and twists her head like an animal; "Are you okay?" I nod, my arms splayed out above my head.
Bryn and Kahla squirm up on either side and hug me tight. "We're gonna miss you Sloane." They whimper into my sides. I reach down and stroke their long, braided hair. Bryn's is a long fishtail, and Kahla has a short two strand.
"I'm going to miss you too." I whisper. One of the servants walks in and smiles, it's Dahlia, and she urges the girls upright.
"Come on you two! It's bath night! I've got bubbles, and-" She rattles a box, "wood incense!" The girls sit up and rush to follow her out of the door.
Helena sits down on the bed, and something slides on my night stand. "You got mail, it's from Garrick Tavis, Imogen Cardulo, Eya and Xaden." She says quietly, "They're all marked urgent." She runs a hand through my long blonde hair, then stands to walk out for a shower.
Yes! They're probably all telling me about what to expect after I cross the Parapet. I sit upright and reach for Xaden's letter, and break the seal.

The Lemon Legacy: Generation 1, Chapter 93 - Bumps and Biscuits
Ophelia's well into her second trimester, and she's feeling a bit drained.
Ophelia: You are wearing me out, baby girl… But hey, I think I rock this baby bump, don't you?
Tumblr media
Xander and Ophelia cuddle before bed when something dawns on them.
Ophelia: We haven't even talked about a name.
Xander: Oh yeah. I keep calling her Muffin in my head, but I don't think she'd love putting that as her legal name on job applications.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ophelia: We could name her after your mom.
Xander: That's really sweet, babe, but there's a good chance this kid is going to come out with your complexion and I think naming a little white blonde girl Lakshmi is going to look more insulting than honoring.
Ophelia: Fair.
Tumblr media
Ophelia: I did have another name in mind, in the back of my head…
Ophelia tells Xander the name and explains the reasoning behind it. Xander seems on board.
Xander: That's a beautiful name.
Ophelia: We can think up a few more options.
Xander: No no, I love that one.
Tumblr media
Well, that's one less thing to cross off their list. Tomorrow is the start of Ophelia's third trimester, so they're going to add the finishing touches to the nursery. Pretty soon, their lives will change forever, but right now, they're enjoying this experience together.
Tumblr media
The nursery is finished. They maybe went a little overboard with toys for someone that won't be able to play with them for a while, but you only have your first baby once.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ophelia can't help but sit in the rocking chair and wonder what their little one is going to be like when she gets here. Is she going to be cautious, wiggly, sunny, calm? And what's she going to be like when she's not an infant? Guess that's the fun part, isn't it?
Tumblr media
One thing Ophelia does know about her daughter is that she's got one hell of a leg. Pregnancy isn't all lollipops and rainbows.
Ophelia: I love you so much already, kid, but I'm not going to be sad to not have you treating my organs like a soccer ball anymore.
Tumblr media
Travis and Becca gifted the future parents a few baby books, so Ophelia decides to read to the baby.
Ophelia: The boy wanted to play with the horsies, but the mean business man wouldn't let him if the boy didn't pay $40. "That's a bit steep for just horses," said the boy.
Tumblr media
Ophelia: Do you think our baby will be smart?
Xander: Sure. I did okay in school. And weren't you valedictorian?
Ophelia: I didn't go to graduation after getting kicked out, I think the salutatorian took my place. To be honest, this is the first book I've read since then.
Tumblr media
Xander: If our girl grows up anything like her mommy, then she's going to be great all around.
Ophelia: Let's hope the klepto trait isn't genetic.
Xander: If it is, we know how to help her.
Xander kisses the side of his wife's head as she continues to read. Not much longer!
Tumblr media
During lunch, Ophelia hits her third trimester. The baby kicks her once again, but this time it just feels kind of funny.
Ophelia: Hey, settle down in there! Do you want Mommy to have a bladder failure?
Tumblr media
Marshmallow needs some attention. Not that she'd ever admit it or anything.
Ophelia: Poor baby, Mommy and Daddy have been so busy, haven't they? Maybe you need a little kitty playmate to keep you company.
Marshmallow: an underling? excellent idea, mother.
Tumblr media
Ophelia: Sheesh, look at how big I am, Marshie. I'm about to pop!
Marshmallow: are you making yourself appear larger to scare off prey, mother?
Tumblr media
Ophelia uses her time before the baby arrives to work on completing her first original song. When she can't sleep because of how much she's aching, she uses the time to slam out some more lyrics. Ophelia's never been one to just sit around and wait for something to happen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ophelia didn't get the best sleep last night, but it was enough. She has a craving for sausage gravy and biscuits, so she gets out all the ingredients, only for something to interrupt her.
Ophelia: Uh, Xander? I think my water just broke.
Tumblr media
Xander instantly goes into pre-parental panic mode.
Xander: Oh Watcher, okay, we've got this. I'll go get changed, grab the bag-
Ophelia: Aww man, I really wanted biscuits.
Xander: You're in labor and you're thinking about biscuits?!
Ophelia: I can multitask!
Tumblr media
As Xander runs upstairs to grab some stuff to take to the hospital, Ophelia pulls some leftover fruit out of the fridge so she doesn't starve to death. It's no biscuit, but it'll do.
Eat up, Feefs! It's go time!

Since this seems to be a trend, I have to ask: top 5 pieces of media you'd rec me? I am really curious since I think I've already tried pretty much everything you loved 😅
sorry for the delay, but I was right in the middle of one of the things I thought I miiight recommend you, so I waited until I finished in case it ended up poorly lmao.
Said thing is Zatanna & the Ripper, an already completed webtoon available online for free (don't let the fact that it's 51 issues long deter you, a webtoon episode takes less than five minutes to read lol). I was already reading a couple other DC webtoons, with mixed feelings ("Wayne Family Adventures" is often too fandom-y for my blood but it's given me a few ideas, and "Red Hood: Outlaws" was... neither a bad as its worst moments, nor did it manage to live to the sky high expectations of its very best), and I was already on my Zatanna feels thanks to Young Justice so... I picked this one up.
I'm guessing you know this but Zatanna's comics version differs quite a bit from YJ's; she's from Bruce's generation, for one (he has a cute cameo here with the two of them playing as children lol), her usual love interest is John Constantine (who plays that part here), etc. This isn't quiiiite like the comics version (or what little I've seen of her), she's a bit younger and greener, with a "finding yourself/having faith in your own power" arc.
The premise is that Zatanna, on her 21st birthday, gets transported to London in Victorian times, right around the time Jack the Ripper was killing (I'm pleased to say the run managed to side-step the issues I tend to have with historical fiction that tries to play around with this concept, tbh). She's stuck there, with malfunctioned powers, becomes friends with one of the working girls, starts trying to solve the case etc. etc. It was a fun read, all around.
Hmm... I'm trying to think of favourite stuff of mine that I don't think you've tried... shows-wise, I think that'd be Desperate Wives? Not saying it didn't infuriate the hell out of me at times lol, and I'm not sure how you'll feel about it, since it's also not-my-usual-type... but when it's good, it's GREAT and really damn enjoyable lol. I became hooked really early on so I'd say to give the pilot a try and see if it awakens any interest, if you haven't watched it?
For films... you might've watched some of these, but some of my favourites that you might want to give a try to would be "The Mask of Zorro" (revenge! romance! sword fights as both revenge and romance tools!), "The Handmaiden" (historical lesbian romance with really engaging twists), or 2010's "True Grit" (a western, which isn't usually my thing, about a young girl seeking revenge for her father's murder).
I'll also list some of my favourite classic books that you might or might not have read, Because: "Carmilla", "Dangerous Liaisons", "Frankenstein", "Pygmalion"
I don't know how plausible it'd be to find this available outside of Spain, but I'm recommending "La Promesa", a Spanish telenovela I've gotten into (I'm not really watching it properly because I'm waaaaaaaay behind lol. it's long as fuck, currently in its 150+ episode; I watch the current ones when my mother has it on tv lol, and sometimes some of the old ones). It's sloooooow, which can be frustrating, and LOOOOONG, as I said, but it does some really great things character-wise. I've called it the Spanish Downton Abbey lol, but with faaaar more attention given to the working-class characters (the heroine herself being a maid).
This goes beyond five, but since I'm not sure if you've watched/read some of these, and you probably won't be able to watch the last one ^^U: SEVERANCE!!! Again, I just want people to watch both this AND Dollhouse so we can delve deep into them xDD. Just one short season so far, with a second one coming on 2024. It's about a group of workers who've gone through a surgical procedure that separates their memories from work and those from their life outside, effectively creating different people, and the sketchy corporation they work with. And Dichen Lachman is in it too :D (her part is the only one I actively compared with Dollhouse while I was watching it lol. So far Dollhouse wins but... Priya's story is hard to top).
Another bonus, Because: I recommended the Kemi Ashing-Giwa's short stories stored in Tor to another mutual, so this time I'll give focus to another one: "The Puppermaster", about a banished warrior, her sketchy usurper uncle, and monsters.
