i once complimented a lady’s jack skellington tattoo at a fair when we were both standing in line for funnel cake and she got all excited and had her boyfriend turn around and show me his matching sally stitches one. it was adorable.

its true that complimenting strangers is fun and nice. people will go "awwww really" when you say their hair is cute. people will go "thanks" and straighten up a little when you compliment the colors they're wearing. people will say "oh yeah i got it at (place)" if you say a charm on their bag is cool. people really do appreciate it and its very whimsy and you can just do this for free

#well not quite a fair (i cant spell per say so imagine i spelled it right)#but its kinda impossible to explain what this place was #so. fairground.#only permanent (it’s there year-round and never leaves)#and you can pick pumpkins/strawberries/blueberries or whatever theyve got growing #MY POINT IS compliment strangers you will both feel better for the experience #also feel it necessary to note i did not get funnel cake. i got deep-fried twinkies. my brother still hasnt paid me back for his half.#before you ask they were gross
