It had been a few hours since that intimate phone call with you, and yet the giddy sensation still coursed through Lando's veins like wildfire. He obviously still felt incredibly embarrassed about drunk texting you the way he did, but it lead to something great. Something he enjoyed so much, he can't put it into words. The knowledge that you felt the same way about him had turned the usually composed British driver into a lovesick puppy, unable to wipe the goofy grin off his face. He'd been in love with you for quite some time, but now that his feelings were out in the open, everything felt more intense, more real.
Since that call, Lando had managed to shower, get dressed, and gather his things to hang out with a few of the guys at Charles’ place. But the whole time, he’d been distracted, replaying every moment of your conversation, every breathy word exchanged, over and over in his mind.
By the time he arrived at Charles' house and plopped down onto the couch, the weight of it all—how much his life had changed in a few short hours—settled in. But just as he began to sink into his thoughts, he felt a pair of familiar eyes boring into him.
Max was staring at him, that infuriatingly smug grin stretching across his face. "Good morning, Mr. Casanova," Max teased, the humor in his voice impossible to miss as he watched Lando try to hide within the collar of his hoodie.
"Oh god, please, shut up," Lando groaned, pulling the hood further over his face in a futile attempt to disappear. "I don't even remember half of what I said to you last night."
Charles, who had perched himself on the armrest of the couch, took a casual sip of his coffee. The amusement radiating off him was palpable as he clapped a hand on Lando’s shoulder. "Unfortunately for you, Max remembers all of it."
Max leaned back into the cushions, making a dramatic gagging sound as if to punctuate his point. "I wish I could forget some of the things you said, mate," he chuckled. "But I have to admit, some of it was pretty funny. Adorable, even."
Lando's face flushed a deep crimson, his stomach twisting with embarrassment. "Do I even want to know what I said?" he mumbled, his voice barely audible as he avoided the eyes of both his friends.
Charles set his coffee cup down on the table, his expression turning thoughtful. "Well," he began, running a hand through his hair, "you started out pretty innocent. You were going on about how head over heels you are for her—though I can’t recall the exact words, it was clear enough."
Lando groaned again, his face burning with shame as he sank further into the couch. "God, Max, I’m so sorry," he murmured, his voice tinged with regret. "I never wanted you to find out like this."
Max raised his eyebrows, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. "You really think I didn’t already know you were in love with my sister?" he asked, his tone surprisingly gentle. "You’ve been obvious for a while now, even when you weren’t drunk off your ass."
Lando’s eyes widened in shock, his heart skipping a beat. "A-Are… you s-serious?" he stammered, unable to believe what he was hearing.
Charles rolled his eyes, smirking. "Dude, you stare at her more than you do your own race car," he teased. "And let’s not forget that your entire way of talking to each other is just… well, flirting."
Lando felt his heart rate pick up, a mix of relief and mortification washing over him. "Oh," he muttered, his voice small.
"But if that was the innocent part," Lando began, dreading the answer, "what in god's name were the other things I said?"
Max snorted, leaning forward with a grin. "Well, once you were really wasted, you didn’t even seem to notice I was there anymore," he began, the disgust creeping back into his voice. "You were pretty much ranting to Charles about how hot she is and how you’d kill to see her naked."
Charles burst out laughing, almost spilling his coffee in the process. "Hey! Don’t leave out the best part," he chuckled, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye. "You also said that if you had the chance, you’d fuck her on every single piece of furniture in your house."
Max made a dramatic gagging noise again, waving his hands in front of his face. "Okay, enough, ew," he protested, though the laughter in his voice was unmistakable. "We’re talking about my twin sister here, remember?"
Lando buried his face in his hands, sinking so far into the couch he thought he might disappear entirely. "Fucking hell," he muttered, staring up at the ceiling in defeat. "I really am a gigantic idiot."
Max’s laughter subsided into a low chuckle as he leaned back into the cushions. "Well, spilling the beans on your feelings was one thing, but I’m curious how you’re going to talk your way out of this with her," he said, his tone a mix of amusement and curiosity. "You kept going on about needing to text her about something 'very private.'"
Lando groaned again, this time so deeply it resonated in his chest. "Please don’t remind me," he mumbled, knowing all too well what Max was referring to.
Max grinned, clearly enjoying every second of Lando’s discomfort. "So, after I dragged your sorry ass home, I decided to give her a little heads up," he continued, his voice dripping with teasing humor. "But she told me it was a little too late because, apparently, you had already sent her quite the intense text."
Charles, who had been taking another sip of his coffee, choked on it immediately, coughing violently as he tried to suppress his laughter. "Mon dieu," he managed to gasp out between coughs, his face turning red from the effort. "What the heck did you even text her? Did you send her a nude or something?"
Before Lando could even process the question, Max threw his hands up in the air. "Don’t answer that while I’m in the room! I don’t even want to know!" he exclaimed, half laughing, half horrified. "We’re talking about my twin sister here! I need more coffee."
With that, Max got up and headed towards the kitchen, leaving Lando and Charles alone in the living room.
Charles eyed Lando with a raised eyebrow, the teasing smirk never leaving his face. "Now, do tell," he urged, clearly eager to hear the juicy details.
Lando sighed, running a hand through his messy curls. "God, I don’t even want to think about it," he muttered, his voice filled with both regret and reluctant amusement. "I cringe at myself every time I read it back."
Charles chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "Did you at least talk to her about it?" he asked, his tone becoming more serious. "I mean, considering you’re not sulking in a corner, I assume she doesn’t hate you now, right?"
Lando felt the heat rise to his cheeks again, a small, embarrassed smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Ehm… yeah, we talked about it," he admitted, his voice trailing off as he tried to downplay the situation.
Charles’ eyes widened in surprise, a knowing grin spreading across his face. "Oh my god, you guys did not…" he started, his voice dripping with playful accusation.
Lando hesitated, biting his lip. "Maybe," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
Charles burst out laughing, clapping Lando on the back with a hearty smack. "So, let me get this straight," he began, still chuckling. "You got wasted, accidentally sexted your best friend, and she… liked it? And then you pretty much continued the conversation? Do you even remember a thing of it, or is your text history your only proof?"
Lando’s face turned an even deeper shade of red as he avoided Charles’ gaze, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "Ehm… it might’ve happened this morning through text… then later through FaceTime," he mumbled, his voice barely audible.
Charles let out a low whistle, shaking his head in disbelief. "Nice job, mate," he said, his tone filled with both amusement and genuine admiration. "Better not tell Max that you had literal phone sex with his twin sister."
Before Lando could respond, they heard Max’s voice echoing from the kitchen. "God, I really did not want to hear that," Max groaned, his tone laced with exasperation.
Charles laughed again, turning his attention back to Lando. "Well, now that you’ve crossed that line, what’s the next step?" he asked, his tone more serious now. "Are you going to talk to her about where this is going?"
Lando let out a long sigh, leaning back into the couch as he tried to collect his thoughts. "I mean… yeah, I guess I have to," he admitted, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "I can’t just pretend like nothing happened."
Charles nodded, his expression turning thoughtful. "You’re right," he agreed. "But, honestly, it sounds like you two are already on the same page. You just need to have an actual conversation about it."
Lando nodded, feeling a mix of anxiety and anticipation swirling in his chest. "Yeah… I know, we talked about if for a little.." he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. "I-I admitted my feelings to her. We did kind of agree to starting something real once she's back in Monaco"
Charles gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, his smile softening. "That's good"
"Yeah, I actually have to pick her up from the airport tomorrow" he told Charles, a hint of something else in his voice "I would lie if I said I wasn't nervous about it. Just scared that she might come to the conclusion that she regrets it, once she sees me in real life again"
*The following day*
Lando sat in his car at the airport, his nerves doubling with each passing second. His fingers fumbled restlessly in his lap as he tried—and failed—to calm himself down. He had spent the entire night tossing and turning, his mind racing with thoughts of how he should greet you when you finally arrived. Despite offering numerous times to meet you at the gate, to carry your suitcases like a gentleman, you had refused each one with a teasing smile, insisting that you were "a big girl" and could manage on your own. Now, he wondered if he had been too pushy, if maybe he should have backed off and given you more space.
As he waited, Lando’s mind continued to wage a war against itself. Should he just hug you like he always did, keeping things light and familiar? Or should he throw caution to the wind and kiss you, putting everything on the line? The thought of kissing you, of finally feeling your lips on his after all these years of longing, made his heart race. But what if you didn’t want that? What if you pulled away, leaving him to wallow in his embarrassment?
His internal debate was abruptly cut short by the sound of a knock on his window. Lando looked up, his heart skipping a beat as he met your eyes. There you were, standing just outside his car, a soft smile on your lips. That smile—the one that always made his chest tighten—sent a wave of warmth through him. He quickly opened the door, jumping out to help you with your luggage.
"Hi," you murmured softly, echoing the way you had greeted him during your FaceTime call. The familiarity of your voice, that gentle tone, sent a shiver down his spine.
Lando smiled back, feeling the tips of his fingers brush against yours as you both reached for the handle of your suitcase. The slight contact sent a jolt of electricity up his arm, and he had to resist the urge to pull you into his arms right then and there. He inhaled deeply, trying to steady his breathing, but the proximity, the way you looked at him, made it impossible to think straight.
"Fuck this," he muttered under his breath, the words slipping out before he could stop them. In a swift movement, he reached up, sliding his fingers around the back of your neck, his thumb gently brushing against your jaw. The world seemed to slow down as he tilted your face up toward his, his heart pounding in his chest as he finally closed the distance between you.
When his lips met yours, it was like every pent-up emotion, every moment of longing, exploded into that kiss. It wasn’t just a kiss; it was a confession, a release, an answer to all the questions that had been swirling in his mind. His fingers tightened in your hair, pulling you closer as he let himself get lost in the sensation of finally, finally, kissing the one girl he had been in love with for what felt like forever.
Your response was immediate and overwhelming. You released the suitcase from your grip, one of your hands moved up to tangle in his curls, pulling him closer, while the other slid down to cover his hand, guiding it to your waist. The heat of your body against his was intoxicating, and Lando felt like he was drowning in you, in the softness of your lips, in the way you seemed to melt into him.
As your kiss deepened, Lando could feel your breath hitch, your body pressing even closer to his as if you couldn’t get enough. He took the invitation, gently parting your lips with his, and when your tongues met, it was like a spark igniting a wildfire. His hand moved to the small of your back, pulling you flush against him as he backed you up against the side of the car. The cool metal of the car against your back contrasted with the heat between you, making you gasp softly into the kiss.
Every touch, every brush of your lips, every flick of your tongue sent shivers down Lando’s spine. He could feel your heartbeat against his chest, could hear the soft, breathy sounds you made as the kiss grew more urgent. His hands roamed your back, sliding up to cup your face, then back down to your waist, as if trying to memorize every curve, every inch of you. The world around you faded away, leaving just the two of you, completely lost in each other.
You responded with equal fervor, your hands exploring the expanse of his back, his shoulders, as you gave in to the overwhelming pull of desire that had been building between you for so long. The way Lando kissed you—desperate yet tender, with a mix of hunger and reverence—made your heart swell with emotion. It was as if he was pouring all his love, all his need, into that kiss, and you couldn’t help but respond in kind.
When you finally broke apart, both of you were breathless, your foreheads resting together as you tried to steady your racing hearts. Lando’s fingers played with a stray strand of your hair, his touch feather-light as he whispered, "Sorry if that was too straightforward. I just… I couldn’t help myself."
You giggled softly, your lips brushing against his as you spoke. "Lan, we both know we crossed the 'too straightforward' line already when you sent me that one text," you teased, a playful glint in your eyes.
Lando’s cheeks flushed a deep red, his gaze dropping to the ground as he muttered, "Shut up."
But you weren’t about to let him get away that easily. Smiling, you tilted his chin up with your finger, forcing him to meet your gaze before leaning in to press a soft, lingering kiss to his lips. "Hey, I never said I was complaining" you murmured against his lips, your voice filled with affection.
Lando felt a surge of relief wash over him, his lips curling into a smile against yours. All the tension, all the nerves, seemed to melt away in that moment, replaced by a warmth that spread through his entire being. As you pulled back slightly, his eyes searched yours, finding only the same affection and desire that he felt reflected back at him.
"Now, let's get this stuff in the car and head back to my place. Because I think we both waited long enough now, don't you think?" you teased him, your fingers playing with the hem of his t-shirt.

As Lando and you finally settled into the car, the engine's quiet hum filled the space, a stark contrast to the roaring thoughts and desires that swirled between you. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation, the kind that made every breath feel heavier, every glance more charged. The drive back to your place had never felt so excruciatingly long, and the unspoken understanding between you made the tension all the more palpable.
You both tried to keep the conversation light, casual even, but it was impossible to ignore the undercurrent of desire that crackled between you like static electricity. Lando gripped the steering wheel a little too tightly, his knuckles turning white as he navigated through the city streets. He stole glances at you whenever he thought you weren’t looking, his mind racing with thoughts of what would happen once you finally reached your apartment.
“So, did you miss me?” you teased, your voice playful yet laced with something deeper.
Lando chuckled, his voice strained as he responded. “Miss you?” He shot you a sidelong glance, the corner of his mouth twitching into a smirk. “Yeah, something like that.”
Your hand slowly inched its way over to his thigh, resting lightly at first, but enough to make him shift in his seat. You could feel the muscle tense beneath your fingers, his reaction immediate and telling. You didn’t miss the way his breath hitched, or the subtle clenching of his jaw as he tried to maintain his focus on the road.
“What are you doing?” he asked, his voice a mix of curiosity and warning, though you could hear the underlying strain, the barely restrained desire.
“Nothing,” you replied innocently, your fingers beginning to trace small, teasing circles on his thigh, gradually moving closer to where you knew he was most sensitive. “Just… thinking.”
“Thinking?” Lando’s voice had dropped to a husky whisper, his eyes narrowing slightly as he tried—and failed—to ignore the effect your touch was having on him. “About what, exactly?”
You leaned in closer, your breath warm against his ear as you whispered, “About how long this drive is taking. Don’t you think it’s… too long?”
Lando let out a low, frustrated groan, his eyes fluttering shut for a brief moment before he forced them open again, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. “You’re killing me, you know that?”
You giggled softly, the sound filled with a mix of mischief and satisfaction. Your hand moved higher, your fingers brushing against the growing bulge in his pants, eliciting a sharp intake of breath from him. He glanced over at you, his eyes darkening with lust, and you could see the tension in his expression, the way he was barely holding himself together.
“Do you want me to stop?” you asked, your voice dripping with mock innocence, though the wicked glint in your eyes betrayed your intentions.
“Fuck…” Lando cursed under his breath, his hips involuntarily jerking forward at the contact. “You’re going to make me crash this car if you keep that up.”
But despite his words, he didn’t make any move to stop you. Instead, he shifted slightly in his seat, almost as if inviting you to continue. The knowledge that you had this kind of power over him, that you could unravel him with just a few touches, sent a thrill through you, your own arousal growing with each passing second.
As your hand pressed more firmly against him, Lando couldn’t suppress the moan that escaped his lips, low and guttural, filled with the kind of raw need that made your stomach tighten with anticipation. The sound of it, the way his body responded so helplessly to your touch, only fueled your desire, your own breath becoming shallow as you leaned in closer.
“I think you like this,” you whispered, your lips brushing against his ear as you spoke, your hand slowly, deliberately, palming him through his jeans. You could feel him hardening beneath your touch, and the thought of what was to come made your own body ache with need.
“Fuck, you’re right,” Lando admitted, his voice rough and strained. He let out another soft moan, his hips shifting again, seeking more of your touch despite his earlier protests. “But you’re also going to regret teasing me like this.”
“Is that a threat?” you teased, your hand now fully exploring the outline of his erection, your fingers pressing just hard enough to drive him crazy, but not enough to satisfy.
“Consider it a promise,” Lando growled, his voice thick with lust. The tension in the car was nearly unbearable now, every second feeling like an eternity as you continued to push him closer to the edge.
The rest of the drive was a torturous mix of heated touches and ragged breaths, the air thick with anticipation. Every kilometer that separated you from your apartment seemed to stretch on forever, amplifying the tension that crackled between you. Lando’s eyes flicked from the road to your hand on his bulge, watching as your fingers continued their slow, deliberate exploration. His breathing was uneven, the struggle to keep his focus on driving becoming increasingly difficult with each passing second.
You noticed how his grip on the steering wheel tightened, knuckles white, the strain evident in every line of his body. His jaw was clenched, his gaze forward, but you could see the way his eyes darkened, how his breath hitched every time your fingers palmed over the bulge straining against his jeans.
“You’re awfully quiet, Lando,” you teased, your voice low and sultry, your fingers tracing the outline of his erection with maddening slowness. “Cat got your tongue?”
Lando let out a shaky breath, his voice strained as he responded. “Trying to focus on not crashing the car, love,” he muttered, his words laced with a mixture of frustration and arousal. His eyes briefly met yours, the intensity of his gaze sending a shiver down your spine. “But you’re making that damn near impossible.”
You smiled, pleased with the effect you were having on him. Leaning in closer, your lips brushed against his ear as you whispered, “What would you do to me if we weren’t in this car right now?”
Lando’s breath hitched again, a soft groan escaping his lips as your words sent a surge of heat through him. He swallowed hard, his mind racing with images of all the things he wanted to do to you. “You really want to know?” he asked, his voice dropping to a low, husky tone that made your pulse quicken.
“Mmhmm,” you hummed, your hand pressing more firmly against his erection, eliciting another groan from him. “Tell me, Lando. What would you do if you had me all to yourself right now?”
Lando’s eyes fluttered shut for a moment, his grip on the wheel tightening as he tried to maintain control. “I’d start by pinning you against the wall,” he began, his voice thick with desire. “I’d kiss you until you were breathless, until you couldn’t think straight. And then I’d strip you down, piece by piece, until there was nothing between us.”
His words sent a thrill through you, your body reacting instantly to the vivid images he painted with his voice. You could feel the heat pooling low in your belly, the ache of wanting him becoming almost unbearable. “And then?” you prompted, your voice breathy, urging him to continue.
Lando swallowed hard, his hips shifting slightly under your touch. “Then I’d lay you down, spread you out for me,” he continued, his voice growing darker, more intense. “I’d take my time, kiss every inch of you, taste you until you’re begging for more.”
A soft whimper escaped your lips at his words, the need inside you flaring hotter with every second. “Fuck, Lando,” you breathed, your hand moving up to cup him more fully, feeling the hardness beneath your fingers. “You’re going to drive me crazy.”
“You think you’re the only one?” Lando shot back, his voice rough with arousal. He let out another low groan as you began to palm him through his jeans, his hips lifting slightly into your touch, seeking more. “Keep that up and we won’t even make it to your apartment.”
You couldn’t help but smile at his reaction, feeling a surge of satisfaction at the way you were affecting him. “Maybe that’s the idea,” you murmured, your lips brushing against his neck, your breath warm against his skin. “Maybe I want to see how much you can take.”
Lando let out a soft, desperate moan, his control slipping further with every touch, every word. “You’re fucking evil, you know that?” he groaned, his head falling back against the headrest as he gave in to the pleasure, his body reacting instinctively to your teasing. “But god, I love it.”
The tension in the car was nearly unbearable now, the air thick with the scent of arousal and the promise of what was to come. Every brush of your fingers, every shift of your body sent waves of desire crashing over both of you, making it almost impossible to think clearly.
As you continued to tease him, your own body was alight with need, every fiber of your being aching for him. The sight of Lando struggling to keep his composure, the way he was completely at your mercy, only fueled your desire, your own breaths coming in short, shallow gasps as you pressed your lips to his neck, feeling his pulse racing beneath your touch.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Lando pulled up to your apartment building, the car coming to a sudden, jerky stop as he practically slammed on the brakes. He turned to you, his eyes dark and filled with a mixture of frustration and desire. “Get out of the car,” he commanded, his voice rough and strained, leaving no room for argument.
You didn’t need to be told twice. The moment you stepped out, Lando was there, his hands gripping your waist as he pushed you back against the car, his lips crashing onto yours with a desperate, almost frantic intensity. The kiss was hot, urgent, filled with all the pent-up desire that had been building between you for so long. His hands roamed your body, sliding down to your hips as he pressed himself against you, letting you feel the full extent of his arousal.
“You have no idea what you’re in for,” Lando murmured against your lips, his voice a low growl that sent a shiver down your spine. His hands tightened on your hips, pulling you even closer as his lips moved to your neck, his teeth grazing your skin in a way that made you moan softly.
“Then show me,” you whispered back, your voice trembling with anticipation as your hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer. “I want to feel everything.”
Lando groaned at your words, his control slipping further as he kissed his way down your neck, his hands sliding under your shirt, exploring the soft skin of your back. “You’re going to be the death of me,” he muttered, his breath hot against your skin as he nipped at your collarbone, making you gasp.
When he finally pulled back, his eyes were dark with lust, his chest heaving as he struggled to catch his breath. Without another word, he grabbed your hand, practically dragging you toward the entrance of the building. The anticipation was palpable, every step closer to your apartment only adding to the tension between you.
The elevator ride up was a blur of heated touches and frantic kisses, Lando’s lips never leaving your skin as he pressed you against the wall, his hands roaming your body with a mix of urgency and reverence. “Fuck, I’ve wanted this for so long,” he murmured against your neck, his voice rough and filled with raw need.
“Me too,” you breathed, your voice trembling with desire as your hands explored the planes of his chest, feeling the hard muscle beneath his shirt. “I’ve wanted you for so long, Lando.”
His lips found yours again, this time slower, more deliberate, as if savoring the taste of you. The kiss was deep, consuming, and you could feel every ounce of his passion, his longing, in the way his tongue danced with yours, the way his hands gripped you as if he was afraid you might slip away.
When the elevator finally dinged at your floor, Lando wasted no time, pulling you out and down the hall toward your apartment. His impatience was evident in the way he fumbled with the keys, his hands shaking slightly from the adrenaline and lust coursing through his veins.
“You’re driving me insane,” he muttered under his breath, his voice filled with a mix of frustration and arousal as he finally managed to unlock the door. The moment it swung open, he had you inside, slamming it shut behind him as he pressed you up against it, his lips crashing onto yours once again.
The kiss was even more intense this time, fueled by the knowledge that there were no more interruptions, no more delays. This was it. You were finally alone, and nothing was going to stop what came next.
His hands were everywhere, sliding under your shirt, up your back, down to your thighs, as if he couldn’t decide where to touch you first. Every brush of his fingers against your skin sent jolts of pleasure through you, and you could feel the heat pooling low in your belly, the anticipation becoming almost unbearable.
Lando’s lips left yours, trailing hot, open-mouthed kisses down your jawline to your neck, his teeth grazing your skin in a way that made you shiver. “I’m going to make you pay for teasing me like that,” he whispered against your neck, his voice a low, seductive growl that made your heart race.
“I’m counting on it,” you replied breathlessly, your hands clutching at his shoulders as you pulled him even closer, your body aching with need.
And with that, any remaining restraint between you shattered, the desire that had been simmering beneath the surface finally boiling over as Lando’s hands and lips claimed every inch of you, leaving you both lost in the heat of the moment, eager to make up for all the time you had spent longing for each other.
When his lips left yours again, you barely had time to catch your breath before they were on your neck, leaving a trail of hot, open-mouthed kisses along your jawline. His hands continued their slow exploration, moving higher until they reached the curve of your breasts, his thumbs brushing teasingly over your hardened nipples through the thin fabric of your bra.
A soft moan escaped your lips at the contact, your back arching slightly as you pressed into his touch. Lando’s breath was hot against your skin as he nipped at your collarbone, his hands moving to unhook your bra with practiced ease. The garment fell away, leaving you exposed to his hungry gaze.
“You have no idea how much I want this,” Lando murmured against your skin, his voice low and filled with a mix of reverence and desire. His hands cupped your breasts, his thumbs brushing over your sensitive nipples as he captured your lips in another searing kiss.
“Then stop teasing,” you whispered against his lips, your voice trembling with anticipation as your hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer. “I want you, Lando.”
Lando groaned softly at your words, his resolve crumbling as his hands began to roam lower, sliding down your stomach to the waistband of your jeans. He unbuttoned them slowly, his fingers brushing against your skin as he tugged the fabric down your hips, leaving you in just your panties.
He pulled back slightly, his eyes dark with lust as he took in the sight of you standing before him, half-naked and completely vulnerable. “You’re so fucking beautiful,” he whispered, his voice filled with awe as his hands traced the curve of your hips, his thumbs brushing against the delicate lace of your panties.
Without another word, Lando’s hands moved to your thighs, his fingers tracing slow, deliberate paths along your skin, causing shivers to run down your spine. He stood in front of you, his eyes locked onto yours as his fingers slipped beneath the waistband of your panties, dragging them down your legs with agonizing slowness.
The cool air against your exposed skin only heightened your sensitivity, every nerve ending tingling with anticipation. Lando’s hands moved back up your thighs, his touch firm yet gentle as he spread your legs wider. He leaned in, pressing a kiss to an exposed bit of skin, just behind your ear, before his fingers began their slow, torturous journey closer to your core.
Your breath hitched, your body trembling with need as his fingers hovered just above where you wanted them most. He teased you, his fingertips brushing lightly against your sensitive skin, drawing out soft whimpers from your lips. The tension in your body grew unbearable as Lando finally let his fingers slide through your wetness, his touch sending sparks of pleasure shooting through you.
He began to move his fingers with expert precision, his eyes never leaving yours as he watched your reactions, each moan, each gasp fueling his desire. His thumb found your clit, rubbing slow, deliberate circles as his fingers delved deeper, the sensation building with every stroke. You could feel the pressure mounting, your body arching into his touch as you teetered on the edge of release.
But just as you were about to fall over the precipice, Lando’s movements slowed, his fingers pulling back, leaving you hanging in that unbearable space between pleasure and release. A frustrated whimper escaped your lips as you looked up at him, your body aching with the need for more.
But Lando only smirked up at you, his eyes filled with a mischievous glint. “That’s for teasing me in the car,” he teased, his voice low and filled with satisfaction as he slowly rose to his feet, his hands resting on your hips as he pressed a soft kiss to your lips.
“You’re an asshole,” you whispered against his lips, your voice filled with a mix of frustration and determination as you reached for his shirt, unbuttoning it with trembling fingers. You pushed the fabric off his shoulders, letting it fall to the floor before your hands moved to the waistband of his jeans.
But before you could undo the button, Lando’s hands were on you again, lifting you effortlessly as he carried you to the kitchen counter. He placed you on the cool surface, his hands sliding up your thighs as he positioned himself between your legs.
His lips were on yours again, hot and demanding, as his hands roamed your body, exploring every curve, every dip, as if trying to memorize the feel of you. When he pulled back, his eyes were dark with lust, his breathing heavy as he knelt down between your legs, his hands gripping your thighs as he spread you open before him.
The anticipation was almost unbearable as you watched him, his gaze locked on yours as he lowered his head, his lips brushing against your most sensitive spot. The first stroke of his tongue sent a jolt of pleasure through you, your hands flying to his hair as you arched into him, your breath coming in short, desperate gasps.
Lando’s tongue moved with precision, each stroke bringing you closer to the edge, the pleasure building with every second. You could feel the heat pooling in your belly, your body trembling with the need for release as he continued to pleasure you with slow, deliberate movements.
Just when you thought you couldn’t take it anymore, just when you were about to tip over the edge, once again, Lando pulled back, leaving you gasping for breath, your body aching with the need for more.
“Lando!” you cried out, your voice filled with frustration as you looked down at him, your chest heaving with the effort to catch your breath.
Lando only chuckled, a smug smile playing on his lips as he slowly rose to his feet, his hands resting on your hips as he pressed a soft kiss to your lips. “I told you I would make you regret teasing me,” he murmured against your lips, his voice filled with satisfaction as he nipped at your lower lip.
“You're lucky you're hot” you shot back, your voice trembling with a mix of frustration and determination as you reached for his jeans, unbuttoning them with your fingers. You pushed the fabric down his hips, letting it fall to the floor as you slid off the counter, your hands moving to his hips, guiding him against the kitchen counter, sinking to your knees.
Lando’s breath hitched as you knelt before him, your fingers teasing the waistband of his boxers as you looked up at him, a wicked glint in your eyes. “Is this what you want?” you asked, your voice low and sultry as your fingers brushed against his erection, the contact sending a shiver of pleasure through him.
“Please,” Lando groaned, his hands clutching at the counter behind him as he watched you, his eyes filled with a mixture of desperation and lust. “Don’t tease me.”
But you weren’t done with him yet. You wanted to make him feel the same frustration, the same desperation that he had made you feel. Slowly, deliberately, you began to kiss your way up his thigh, your lips brushing against his skin in a way that made his breath catch in his throat.
"You look so good, Lan. You make me so wet.” you whispered against his skin, your voice filled with a mix of challenge and desire as your fingers teased him, brushing against his erection but never quite touching him where he needed it most.
Lando’s hips jerked forward, a soft moan escaping his lips as he clutched at the counter, his control slipping further with every touch, every kiss. “Fuck,” he muttered under his breath, his voice rough and strained. “You’re killing me.”
You smiled up at him, your hands finally sliding up to his boxers, pulling them down to free his aching length. The sight of him, hard and ready for you, sent a thrill of anticipation through you, your own arousal heightening as you took him in your hand, feeling the warmth and hardness of him against your palm.
Lando’s breath hitched, his eyes fluttering shut as you began to stroke him slowly, your movements deliberate and teasing. Your thumb brushed over the sensitive tip, gathering the bead of moisture there before sliding back down his length. His hips bucked slightly into your hand, a low groan escaping his lips as he watched you through half-lidded eyes, his gaze dark with lust.
“F-Fuck, that feels so good,” he muttered, his voice rough and thick with need. His hands gripped the counter behind him, knuckles white as he tried to maintain some semblance of control. But you could see the tension in his muscles, the way his body responded to every touch, every twist of your wrist.
You increased the pace slightly, your strokes becoming firmer, more purposeful as you worked him with your hand. Lando’s breathing grew heavier, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he struggled to keep his composure. “You like that?” you whispered, your voice sultry, dripping with seduction as you watched him with hooded eyes.
“God, yes,” Lando groaned, his head falling back as another moan slipped from his lips. “So fucking good.”
You smirked, your confidence growing with every sound of pleasure that escaped him. You changed your technique, your grip tightening slightly as you twisted your wrist at the top, your thumb rubbing over the sensitive underside of his tip in a way that made his hips jerk forward, his breath catching in his throat.
“Is this what you’ve been fantasizing about?” you asked, your voice low and teasing as you leaned in closer, your breath hot against his skin. “Thinking about me, touching you like this?”
Lando let out a shaky breath, his eyes squeezing shut as he struggled to find the words. “Yes,” he managed to choke out, his voice strained with the effort to hold back. “Every night. Fuck, you have no idea.”
You smiled, satisfied with his response as you continued to stroke him, your movements becoming a little faster, a little more intense. You could feel him throbbing in your hand, his body trembling with the need for release. “Do you want more, Lando?” you whispered, your lips brushing against the base of his length as you spoke, sending a shiver through him. “Do you want my mouth on you?”
Lando’s eyes flew open, the raw need in them making your own arousal spike. “Please,” he groaned, his voice a desperate plea. “I need it. I need you.”
His words sent a jolt of excitement through you, and without breaking eye contact, you slowly lowered your head, your lips parting as you took him into your mouth. The sensation of his hard length filling you, the taste of him on your tongue, was intoxicating, and you let out a soft moan as you began to move, your mouth working him with the same deliberate, teasing pace you had used with your hand.
Lando’s reaction was immediate, his hands flying to your hair, his fingers tangling in the strands as he tried to maintain control. “Fuck,” he hissed, his hips bucking involuntarily as you hollowed your cheeks, taking him deeper. “You feel so good. So fucking good.”
Encouraged by his praise, you began to move faster, your tongue swirling around him, flicking against the sensitive underside as you bobbed your head, taking him in as deep as you could. You could feel the tension in his thighs, the way his muscles tightened and quivered under your touch, his body responding to every flick of your tongue, every suction of your lips.
You placed your hands on the back of his thighs, your fingers digging into his flesh as you pulled him closer, encouraging him to let go, to give in to the pleasure. “Is this what you wanted?” you asked, pulling back just enough to speak, your voice breathy and filled with desire. “Is this what you’ve been dreaming about?”
“Yes,” Lando groaned, his voice strained as he fought to keep control. “Fuck, you’re perfect. Don’t stop. Please, don’t stop.”
His words only spurred you on, and you resumed your pace, your mouth working him with more intensity, more urgency as you brought him closer to the edge. His breathing grew ragged, his moans becoming more frequent, more desperate as he hovered on the brink of release.
But just as you felt him start to tense, his body trembling with the need for release, you pulled back, letting him slip from your mouth with a teasing smile. Lando let out a frustrated groan, his head falling back as his hands tightened in your hair, the sensation of being so close yet denied driving him to the brink of madness.
“Fuck,” Lando breathed out, his voice laced with desperation. His eyes were half-lidded, darkened with lust as he looked down at you, still kneeling before him, that wicked glint in your eyes. “Why did you stop?”
“Two can play that game,” you whispered, your voice filled with playful challenge as you looked up at him, your lips brushing against the sensitive skin of his thigh. “How does it feel, Lando? To be so close and yet so far?”
Lando’s breath was ragged, his chest heaving as he looked down at you, his eyes filled with a mixture of frustration and raw need. “You’re going to be the death of me,” he muttered, his voice rough with desperation, but there was a spark of amusement in his eyes, a silent acknowledgment that he was enjoying this, even if it was driving him crazy.
Lando let out a shaky breath, his hands moving to your waist as he pulled you closer, his lips brushing against yours in a brief, heated kiss. “Fucking hell, you have no idea what you do to me” he murmured against your lips, his voice rough with need, his hands gripping your hips as he pressed you back against the counter.
You felt a shiver run down your spine at the heat in his voice, the raw intensity of his words sending a surge of desire straight to your core. Lando’s lips met yours again, this time slower, more deliberate, as if he was savoring every second. His hands slid down to your thighs, lifting you slightly so he could press you even closer against the counter, his body flush against yours. You responded eagerly, your hands threading through his hair, tugging lightly as you deepened the kiss, your tongue teasingly flicking against his.
You could feel the tension building between you, the need to be even closer, but you couldn’t resist playing with him just a little more. You nipped at his lower lip, pulling back slightly to murmur against his mouth, “You’re holding back, Lando. What’s wrong? Afraid you can’t handle a little teasing?”
Your words drew a low, frustrated growl from him, his eyes darkening with desire as he looked at you, the playful spark in your gaze only spurring him on. “Oh, I can handle it,” he replied, his voice a rough whisper, full of promise. And with that, he closed the distance between you in an instant, his hands grabbing you by the waist as he lifted you off the ground, your legs instinctively wrapping around his waist as he carried you towards the bedroom.
Your laughter echoed through the kitchen as Lando carried you towards the bedroom, his grip on you firm, yet gentle, as if he couldn’t bear to let you go. The intensity in his eyes sent a thrill through you, your heart racing as you felt the cool air on your skin, a sharp contrast to the heat radiating from his body.
He pushed the bedroom door open with his foot, and before you knew it, you were on the bed, Lando hovering above you, his hands framing your face as he stared down at you with a mixture of love and raw need. The look in his eyes made your breath catch, the reality of the moment crashing over you. This was real. This was happening.
Lando’s lips found yours again, the kiss slower this time, more deliberate, as if he was savoring every second, every taste of you. His hands roamed your body, sliding down your sides, over your hips, before coming to rest on your thighs, spreading them apart as he settled between them.
But just as Lando was about to move lower, his lips brushing against the curve of your breast, he paused, his breath coming in short, shallow gasps as he looked up at you, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. “Are you sure?” he asked, his voice soft, but carrying a depth of sincerity that made your heart swell.
“I’m sure, Lando,” you whispered, your voice filled with certainty and affection. “I want this. I want you.”
Lando’s eyes searched yours for a moment longer, as if making absolutely certain, before he spoke again, his tone gentle but serious. “I just want to make sure you don’t feel pressured into anything. This… this means a lot to me. It’s more than just sex for me.”
Your heart melted at his words, the care and concern in his voice making you fall even more for him. You cupped his cheek, your thumb brushing lightly over his skin as you smiled up at him. “I don’t feel pressured at all. I want this just as much as you do, Lando. It means a lot to me too.”
Relief washed over his features, his eyes softening as he leaned down to press a tender kiss to your lips, filled with all the emotion he couldn’t quite put into words. “Thank you,” he whispered against your lips, his hands gently caressing your sides as he deepened the kiss, his body pressing warmly against yours.
With that final confirmation, the last of his restraint melted away. The kiss grew more intense, more passionate, as Lando’s hands roamed your body with a newfound purpose, exploring every inch of you with reverence and need. His lips moved down your neck, to your chest, leaving a trail of hot, open-mouthed kisses that made you shiver with anticipation.
You could feel the hard length of him pressing against your thigh, the evidence of his desire only fueling your own. Your hands roamed his back, feeling the tension in his muscles, the way his body responded to your touch. The heat between you was almost unbearable now, the need for him becoming overwhelming as his lips found the sensitive spot just below your ear, making you moan softly.
“Please, Lando,” you whispered, your voice trembling with desperation as you arched into him, your body aching with the need for release. “I need you.”
Lando let out a low groan at your words, his hands sliding down to your hips as he positioned himself between your legs. He paused for a moment, his eyes locking onto yours as he whispered, “I want to make this perfect for you.”
“It already is,” you whispered back, your voice filled with affection as you cupped his face, pulling him into a soft, lingering kiss. “Just make love to me, Lando.”
With a soft, almost reverent sigh, Lando pressed his forehead against yours, his breath mingling with yours as he slowly, gently, entered you. The sensation was overwhelming, a mix of pleasure and emotion that made you gasp, your hands clutching at his shoulders as he filled you completely.
Lando let out a shaky breath, his body trembling slightly as he stilled for a moment, letting you both adjust to the new, intimate connection. The feeling of him inside you, of being so close, so connected, was almost too much to bear, the intensity of it sending waves of pleasure and emotion crashing over you.
He began to move slowly, his thrusts gentle and deliberate, his eyes never leaving yours as he made love to you with a tenderness that took your breath away. Every movement, every touch was filled with love, with a depth of emotion that made your heart swell with affection for him.
You could feel the tension building again, the pleasure mounting with every thrust, every brush of his skin against yours. Lando’s hands roamed your body, his lips pressing soft kisses to your neck, your collarbone, as he whispered sweet, breathless praises in your ear.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmured, his voice filled with awe as he looked down at you, his eyes dark with love and desire. “I can’t believe I get to have you like this.”
“Lando,” you gasped, your voice trembling with emotion as you clutched at him, your body moving in sync with his. “I love you.”
The words slipped out before you could stop them, the raw truth of your feelings finally breaking free. Lando’s eyes widened in surprise, his movements slowing for a moment as he stared down at you, his breath catching in his throat.
“I love you too,” he whispered, his voice filled with a mix of awe and affection as he leaned down to press a tender kiss to your lips. The words hung in the air between you, a promise, a declaration that made your heart swell with happiness.
With those words still echoing in the air, Lando’s pace quickened, his thrusts becoming more urgent, more desperate as the pleasure built to a fever pitch. You could feel yourself getting closer, the tension coiling tighter in your belly as you held onto him, your body trembling with the need for release.
Lando’s breath was hot against your ear, his voice rough and filled with desperation as he whispered, “Come for me, love. I want to feel you.”
His words, the way he moved inside you with such passion and tenderness, was enough to send you over the edge. Your body tensed, your back arching off the bed as the wave of pleasure crashed over you, your breathless moans filling the room as you came undone in his arms.
The sensation of you tightening around him, the way you cried out his name in pure ecstasy, was enough to push Lando over the edge with you. With a few more deep, urgent thrusts, he followed you into bliss, his body trembling as he found his release, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps.
For a moment, the world seemed to stand still, the only sound in the room the heavy breathing of two people who had just found something they had both been longing for. Lando collapsed on top of you, his weight comforting as he buried his face in the crook of your neck, his breath warm against your skin.
You held him close, your fingers running through his hair as you both came down from the high, your bodies still entwined, the connection between you stronger than ever.
“I love you,” Lando whispered again, his voice soft and filled with affection as he pressed a tender kiss to your shoulder, his arms wrapping around you as if he couldn’t bear to let you go.
“I love you too,” you murmured back, your heart swelling with happiness as you held him close, your eyes fluttering shut as you savored the warmth of his body against yours, the contentment that filled you both as you lay there, basking in the afterglow of the most intense, passionate, and loving moment you had ever shared.

ᝰ  head–strong   ˖  ࣭  ⭑  ☽
— starring  CONRAD FISHER ! 𔓘
MDNI 18+
warning: explicit, sexual themes.
description: your boyfriend is a munch.
tags: fem! reader, gf! reader; established relationship, fem! receiving oral, eating out, smut
honey's note: tsitp fans rise pls!!! more to come <3
conrad’s a smart boy; you already knew this. though many people fail to realize the extent of his intelligence, how naturally skilled he is with romantic or even intimate affairs. he wouldn't call it this, but he plays you like a fiddle. each button he presses gets the exact reaction, consequence he was aiming for. you don't mind too much, though, even if he were to admit it—because what's a little shame matter when it's in exchange for the best head of your life?
times like these always start the same; with the hanging out on the bed, then some making out, and eventually he's got you all hot and bothered. perfect time for him to pop the question: “can i taste you?”
or maybe he's feeling like teasing you more that day, let his playful side run rampant for a change. forget hot and bothered—you’re aching for more, nearly starved from the way he keeps dangling the notion you desire most right before your nose.
kissing you with just enough fervor to leave you panting for your next breath, for more, he pulls back with the faintest of smirks. the look on your face, cheeks flushed and eyes glazed over, has him feeling a twinge of pride. he knows he's being a little mean right now, but he also knows you're a few seconds away from begging for it. he's a good boyfriend, how could he say no to you? especially when you blink your lashes at him and pout your lips just slightly, desperately longing for something only he could provide.
he’s gentle when he gets you on your back, legs spread and thighs resting just overtop his biceps. the hold he has on you, his face so close to the most sensitive part of yourself, is firm yet yielding altogether. any sound of displeasure, words to halt his actions—he’s perceptive, open ears because conrad fisher isn't a selfish man. he's caring, in most simplest of terms; though you would come to describe him as, knightly in the way he treats others—treats you.
kisses along your inner thighs signal what's soon to come, no pun intended. with your panties discarded to the side, bunched up with the wetness he'd already elicited from you, he places one last peck before moving to place one on your clit. the action makes your lower half jolt. even so, with the way he's got your legs hooked under his arms, the movement was already being restricting to a mild jerk of your hips. he'll let out an exhale through his nose, almost a chuckle that he manages to stifle just enough (thankfully). the last thing he wants is for you to get all sulky because he ‘laughed at you’—an argument, if you can even classify it as such, that had been brought up in the past. he can't really help it when every little thing he does gets you so riled up. it's endearing, as he puts it; and the fallacy literally dies on your tongue when you're cumming on his that night. “a way to make it up to you,” you vaguely recall him whispering before your memory went blurry from the way your body quite literally melted beneath his touch.
he really is such a smart man. what further way to prove it than with you?
soft, little kitten licks at your slit and his nose bumping oh-so perfectly into your clit. his tongue nuzzles past the entrance when he finally lets himself indulge in the way you taste. instinctively, your velveteen walls clench around the spongy mess probing your insides. he doesn't get greedy, though, no. he'll take his time exploring every crevice and dip in your core, treasuring and mapping out which parts really make you squeal. he knows you—knows you better than anyone. how to make your toes curl, your eyes roll towards the back of your head… all him. never would he dare voice the smug satisfaction he gets when you're holding back a scream of his name, hand clasping at your mouth to muffle the sound. when you reach that peak, he's quick to return back to tracing your clit with his tongue, docile and assuasive. his eyes, having been kept on you the entire time, now wait for yours to open. though heavy and lidded, you manage to meet the gaze of your boyfriend. the pure ecstasy, a result of conrad’s adroitness in regards to eating out, had prevented you from eyeing anything but the back of your head.
when your body settles down, chest no longer heaving from the orgasm, he’d send one lick up your clit before pulling off. with a few kisses to your thighs again, he lets you regain your lost composure before deciding to ask if he can continue. your hand tucking some fingers in the brunette tendrils atop his head let him know that now is the most opportune time for his request. he’d trail a few kisses up past your hips, ghosting your tummy and chest as he hovers above you once more.
“you did a good job, baby,” he murmurs the praise fondly. “got another one you wanna give me?”

Propaganda for Zoro & Luffy
I could rant about them for actual hours but like it's so hard to put thoughts down. But literally an actual quote was someone telling Zoro that "you promised you wouldn't cause trouble" and Zoro replies, EXACT WORDS, "I had no choice because I ran into Luffy." There was also an exchange where Zoro was giving Luffy food and Luffy warns him it might be poison while eating it and Zoro is just like "huh, so that's why my stomach was hurting". They also both swung from vines once and BOTH decided to Tarzan yell. They agreed it was a requirement. Also, Luffy once said he didn't wanna be a hero because heros would share their meat and he wants all of it, and Zoro entirely separately says the SAME THING BUT WITH BOOZE INSTEAD. There are so many examples of them sharing a single braincell. More than I could ever list. But those are the examples I thought of off the top of my head.
On the surface, Zoro seems to have some common sense, and only follows Luffy’s dumb schemes out of respect. Then Nami joins and you realize that Zoro’s seriousness IS his dumbassedness. He and Luffy have one track minds for their own goals and wants, and while they may clash, they have a decent amount of respect for each other.
haven’t finished one piece yet but one example: zoro when stuck figured cutting off his feet would be a genius idea and luffy is luffy. there’s never any thoughts going on in that head
When I first started One Piece I thought Zoro was going to be the badass smart counterpart to the dumbass protagonist just like Vegeta or Sasuke. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong. Him and Luffy are besties and share one brain cell and even thou Zoro uses it most of the time it's still one.
They share one single braincell at the same time: after being seriously injured in a battle, one wakes up to drink sake the other to eat meat. One almost cut a Noble (which means being pursued til death by the most powerful marines), the other actually punches said Noble. One gest stuck between buildings, the other inside a chimney for absolutely unrelated reasons
Their solution to everything is to fight it. They never have a plan and just rush into everything. Somehow they are technically the leaders of the group as captain and first mate. They have both at some point attempt to cut or tear their legs or arms off to get out something. They used the same metaphor to explain why they aren’t a hero without hearing the other say it (a hero would share their meat/booze I want to keep it all to myself).
they said let us cut/punch a hole trough a giant tsunami and they did it <3 also one time they were suppossed to lay low, but well they both immediately started robbing and attacking a town and being recognized and labeled as criminals in a new country. they don't even share a braincell, whatever braincell they had before immediately leave as soon as they both are together, also King of the Pirates and World Greatest Swordsman dreamteam, also for lasagne thing not only would the house be gone, the city be burning and they are fleeing the police while also fighting the police
They're just soooo stupid. Zoro can't walk to steps without getting lost. So Luffy will yank him miles through the air to land on wood. Or stone. Or some other hard substance. Luffy would fight someone on accident for meat. And Zoro for booze. And they have no brain cells between them. Zoro new Luffy for approx. 3 seconds before he decided he would die for him. And Luffy heard about this big scary bounty hunter who was captured by marines and went. I need him on my crew. They're perfect for each other.
I dont where to begin. One of their latest feats though is them going into the enemy base, Meaning to sneak in, Luffy went in after another guy, Zoro after Luffy, luffy then Announced himself, started a fight bc ppl wasted food on purpose, ZORO hearing a commotion, SLICED THROUGH A BUILDING TO GET TO LUFFY AND THEN REPRIMANDED LUFFY FOR FORGETTING THE PLAN AND BEING UNABLE TO BE QUIET. THEN. T H E N LUFFY SAYS HE SPILT FOOD ON PURPOSE AND ZORO IS INSTANT LIKE oh ok. They gotta die. (Theres more to it but thats the gist. And thats not even. Much. They r just so stupid together <33)
they both get lost very easily, they will throw hands with anyone, very stupid but very understanding, were a 2 person pirate crew that sailed around on a rowboat, motivated entirely by fighting, meat, and sake, neither is particularly literate one time luffy got his hand stuck in a bottle and zoro tried to get it out by cutting his hand off, yes this happened in a canon episode
look, I have a tag for them that's literally #pair of idiots.

summary it’s your birthday but your boyfriend doesn’t show.
word count 1.24k warnings based on 'the moment i knew' by taylor swift, angst, crying
I walked up the front steps of my friend's house, the house seeming a little too quiet. It was just before 8 pm on the night of my 21st birthday, and my friend was hosting a small party for me with our friends. It was pretty obvious, however, that it was going to be a big party with a bunch of people. I knock on the door and hear a little bit of shuffling before the door swings open, revealing my friend.
“Happy birthday, y/n!” she cheers, bringing me in for a hug.
“Thank you, Lily.” I smile, stepping into the house, and shutting the door behind me. As I do so, dozens of people jump out from behind furniture and from behind walls, shouting a blend of surprises and happy birthdays. I pretend to be shocked, plastering a fake surprise look on my face.
“Oh my gosh, you did this for me?” I ask.
“You knew didn’t you?” she asks, sighing.
“I’m sorry it was a little obvious.” I chuckle. “But I appreciate it so much, thank you, Lily.”
I greeted some other friends who all wished me a happy birthday. When the flow of people slowed, I realized one person was missing from the group.
“Where’s Trevor?” I asked Lily, inquiring about my boyfriend's presence, or lack thereof.
“I think he’s coming a little later.” she replies, her voice sounding unsure. “The ducks' game only ended like, 30 minutes ago. Don’t worry, y/n, he said he’d be here.”
I nod, accepting the explanation. She was probably right, after all. He would have to shower after the game and get dressed. I expel a sigh of relief and accept a drink being handed to me by another friend. I engage in conversation with friends I haven't seen in months, people asking me how I’ve been, though I’m only half present in the conversations as I keep one eye on the door, waiting for him to walk through.
An hour passed and he still hadn’t shown. I was only able to forget about it for a few minutes before I let my mind wander, recalling how much effort I had put into my look that night. I had worn a pink silk mini dress that had a slight cow-neck; the exact dress Trevor had told me looked amazing on me when I bought it two weeks prior. I had done a bit more makeup than normal, deeming that it was a special occasion, and done my hair in soft curls.
Finally, the door opens, and I see Mason and Jamie walk in, but see Trevor not with them. They spot me and come up to me.
“Happy birthday, y/n!” they say simultaneously.
“Thanks, guys.” I smile back, hugging them both. “Is Trevor with you?”
Mason and Jamie exchange confused looks. “Uh, no. We came straight from the arena. He said he needed to stop by the house first.” Jamie shrugged.
“Oh.” I falter.
“I’m sure he’s just changing or something.” Mason recovered, hoping to save my hopes. “He said he’d be here.”
Hours passed and my boyfriend had yet to walk through the door, no matter how intently I looked at it. I had spent all my energy pretending that nothing was bothering me, entertaining the people that were there to celebrate me. My social battery was almost empty and my emotions were starting to rise to the surface. I excused myself from the current conversation I was trapped in, as I walked down the hallway, finding the bathroom and locking myself inside it. Just as tears threaten to spill from my eyes, a knock on the door forces me to keep them in.
“Occupied!” I choke out, fanning my eyes.
“Y/n… It’s Jamie and Mason.” I hear Jamie’s soft voice say from the other side of the door. His sad tone threatens the dam that’s keeping my tears back.
I unlock the door, opening it. Their soft expressions are what pushes me over the edge, as tears start to fall from my eyes. Jamie catches me in an embrace as my knees give out, sobs engulfing my body. He holds me up as I keep my arms wrapped around his shoulders. Mason steps in, shutting the door behind him so I can cry in private. They don’t say anything as they let me expel my emotions. Finally, I pull back from Jamie, wiping my tears off my scarlet cheeks, when another knock comes at the door. My false sense of hope spikes, as I think momentarily that Trevor finally showed up, however, it falls when I hear Lily’s voice.
“Y/n? Are you okay?” she asks. I nod at Mason to open the door.
He does so, revealing my puffy and red face, with my birthday makeup slipping off. “Oh, y/n.” she winces.
The pity in her voice only makes me feel worse as I break down again, this time in her arms. “He said he’d be here.” I wept.
As it was nearing 1 in the morning, Lily decided to send everyone home. She gave me a spare change of clothes, not wanting to send me back to my apartment alone tonight. Jamie and Mason were the last to leave, also hesitant to leave me alone.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Jamie asked.
“Yeah, I’ll be okay. I’ve got Lily here. Don’t worry about me.” I force a smile.
“Sleep well, y/n.” Mason said. “And trust us, we’ll kick his ass whenever we see him next.”
I chuckled softly at his comment, thanking them both as they walked to the car before getting in and driving home. I totter over to the guest bedroom, tucking myself in and letting myself drift off to sleep, which proved easy to do after my emotions had worn me down.
When I awoke, the mid-morning sun cut through the blinds casting a soft glow on the room. I rubbed at my tender eyes, the remaining makeup from the night before that hadn’t been washed away by my tears coming off on my knuckles. The bedside clock reads 11:03. I look around for my phone, but don’t see it. I slide out of the sheets, making my way to the kitchen where I see it on the table.
I pick it up and turn it on, seeing the lock screen flooded with a myriad of notifications, spotting Mason’s text asking me how I was doing at the top. A few notifications down I spot my boyfriend's contact name covering the next few spots. I had missed a series of text messages and phone calls that had come in that morning from him.
Trevor y/n I’m so sorry my love
Trevor I knocked out after the game and slept all the way until this morning
Trevor Baby please answer my calls I'm so sorry
I sigh, seeing he had texted me about 5 more times and called about 5 more. Hesitantly, I clicked on his number. The phone rang twice before I heard his voice come through the phone.
“Y/n?” he asked softly.
“Hi.” I croaked out.
There was a beat of silence as I could tell Trevor was considering what to say first.
“I’m sorry I didn’t make it.”
Tears begin to spill onto my cheeks as the emotions of last night come to the forefront of my mind.
"I'm sorry too." I say softly.

Tumblr media
steve harrington x fem!reader (modern day au!!! they dance to taylor at the end!!!!)
word count: [3.1K] I did my best to proof read
warnings: warnings: no use of y/n, established relationship, cursing, talks about previous relationships, basically a bunch of fucking sappy fluff!!!
summary: steve knows he was never the best boyfriend, but things start to change when you and him finally get together thanks to fate. but what happens when steve's past insecurities come out? You do what you do best and let him know that his past made him the the person you've fallen for.
Tumblr media
Steve Harrington was a dream come true.
Your dream come true to be exact.
Everyone in Hawkins knew Steven Harrington and all the girls fawned over him, and all the boys despised him. A sort of blessing and curse that was cast upon him ever since he knew what romantic feelings were, even if it was not what it seemed.
He wasn’t going to play dumb and act as if his rap sheet was holy, because it was far from that. His sheet of paper was filled with girls’ names, spanning from years of dating and meaningless flings. Despite the crowded paper, the feeling of it was empty. Those relationships and flings were shallow and superficial, based on nothing more than physical attraction and a desire for popularity.
But his other halves weren’t solely to blame.
Steve knew he wasn’t the best partner out there. There had been many arguments, broken promises, and hurtful words exchanged in his past relationships. He knew that he had made mistakes in the past, but he had never intended to hurt anyone. He had just been young and foolish, trying to figure out who he was and what he wanted in life.
He had always tried to be a good partner, but it seemed like no matter what he did, he always fell short. He couldn’t read their emotions. Didn’t say the right things. Was too pushy or sometimes not pushy enough. Spoke too little about his emotions or not enough. It was a losing battle with his past relationships.
In all honestly, for a long time, Steve Harrington thought he was incapable of ever finding someone to truly settle down with. It was hard to imagine that anyone could see past his past mistakes and flaws and accept him for who he was.
All that Steve had ever known was late night arguments over the phone and pity apologies in person so that he and his partners wouldn’t have to go to bed angry with one another—yet he awoke next to them, still feeling so alone.
Maybe he was just incapable of being a good boyfriend and maybe he was never really worthy of love.
Not until you swept right in.
“Stevie!” you blurted, poking his chin from where your head was resting in his lap.
He braved through his haze of thoughts as your voice echoed in his ears. The movie playing on the TV in front of you two had been long forgotten as he slipped into his pondering and now you who had noticed his glazed over eyes not reacting to anything on the screen.
You poked again, fingers probing into his slight stubble, before he glanced down at you and smiled widely. His big hands, coming down to brush the stray hairs away from your face and forehead, tucking them behind your ears as he stared at you fondly.
You stared right back into his eyes, forgetting why you had caught his attention the moment you both slipped into what was a cloudy lavender-like-haze that you wanted to forever stay in without a care for the outside world.
Somewhere along the lines, your name had found its way onto a fresh set of Steve’s pages in his life. One where your name was the only one written on the page with a big heart around it.
How he was able to get so lucky? He would never know. Weirdly enough, you and Steve weren’t strangers at all. You two were fully aware of each other’s existence but never did he ever think he’d be able to snag a girl like you.
The girl who didn’t care about sneaking into town with the “heartbreak prince” on your arm.
Someone who could fill his life with so much complexity yet simplicity all at once.
The one he would enjoy killing time with doing whatever it was, just if he got to make sure he could hold your hand at any given moment
You’d never forget signing all the girls’ yearbooks when the semester was finally over. An assortment of little notes and doodles littering the back pages of the book. And you’d never fail to see his name written in blue ink in all of them. Everyone treating him like Hawkins’ very own heart-throb, yearning for his little signature just so they could draw teeny tiny red hearts around it and brag to their sisters, mothers, and any other person who was dying to get a slice of Steve Harrington.
You and Steve had spent four years at the same high school together.
Sharing the same hallways.
Sharing mutual acquaintances.
Sharing the same teachers.
The same stage at graduation.
The same small town.
For the longest time, you both were like parallel lines, moving with time and living separate lives, just merely aware of each other’s existence was all. But somehow, a few weeks after graduation, you two ended sharing one more thing with each other before the fuse lit.
A room full of half-drunk graduates drinking beer out of plastic cups and screw top rosé.
For whatever reason you both decided to want to drink that cheapass wine, it set off a chain reaction once your hands brushed against each others and it was like the stars finally aligning and fate took its course.
A conversation you two shared, laughing about how awful it must have tasted so you could have it, but no, you wanted him to have it. Which then led to him grabbing the entire bottle and two plastic cups, asking you to follow him up on the roof where you two sat and drank what now seemed like the priceless wine that started it all.
He was fucking lucky, and he was fully aware of that.
You knew about the girls he’d been seen with before, hearing the rumors whispered in the hallways as he and whoever the hell he was dating at the time passed by and the jealous ones saying she was the lucky one.
It was a cycle.
The girls’ he was seeing being the lucky one’s ones until they weren’t anymore.
Until they’d be in the bathroom surrounded by their girlfriends and consoled after Steve didn’t say “I love you” back.
Or until they realized that Steve wasn’t just going to magically drop the kids he babysat for years for a girl he’d only been talking to for weeks.
And especially until they realized that Steve Harrington wasn’t only looks, but a guy who needed to feel loved—truly loved.
“Is this a staring contest or are we still gawking at each other like lovey dovey idiots?”
Your voice broke the barrier of thoughts again as you giggled. Your eyes squinting closed with each laugh you let out as your chest bubbling—a sight Steve would never get tired of admiring.
“You’re a fucking dream, you know that?” Steve smirked, taking your cheeks in his hands and crouching down to give you a kiss.
You hummed against his partly chapped lips, opening your eyes when he pulled away and retreated to back back against the plush cushions of the couch. Yet his fingers twirled at the ends of your hair, making spirals and letting them fall loosely.
“What kind of dream? Like a nightmare or like a wet one?” Your eyebrows wiggled flirtatiously as he cackled, shaking his head as you giggled some more and finally sat up.
Your head instantly found a home on his shoulder as you threw your legs across his lap. His arms encasing you in the warmth and scent of him. Everything that Steve was.
“A really, really good one, baby. One that I cannot even believe I was able to think up.”
Your bottom lip jutted out affectionately, nudging his cheek with your chin as he looked down at you and never let up on his smile, “You’re too sweet, Stevie.”
Steve thinks you’re the sweetest girl in the fucking universe.
You gave him hope, a whole pocket of it, that maybe just maybe he was capable of love with the right person.
You.
Everything was different with you. Steve had finally found someone who he cared about deeply, someone who he wanted to be a better person for. He knew that he had made mistakes in the past, but he was determined to make things right for you. He wanted to show you how much he cared, and how much he was willing to change for the better.
“What did I do to deserve you?” He proposed, watching the way you thought for a second, so many different reasons flowing through your head.
You shrugged, playing with the fabric of his t-shirt and looking down shyly as you spoke, “I don’t know…all I know is that you swept me off my feet and you haven’t let me down since.”
“Aren’t you such a romantic?” He teased, poking your side making your squeal before playfully smacking his chest with a pout.
“Seriously,” He added, “Sometimes I pinch myself because I can’t believe you’re actually here with me.”
With a look of vulnerability in his eyes, you were slightly taken aback. Sure you and Steve would always brag about how lucky you both were to have each other, but you just knew that this was coming from a different place…a different part of Steve, one where you could instantly catch the insecurity and doubt in his voice.
"What do you mean?" you urged gently, reaching out to take his hand, and look up to meet his eyes, yet now he looked down.
Steve hesitated for a moment before speaking again. “I mean…I don’t know why you would ever want to be with me. I’ve messed up so many times in the past, and I’m still trying to figuring things out.”
He finally looked up at you, brows furrowed as he tried to elaborate, “I—I just feel like I’m always doing something wrong, or that I’m not enough for you. And…I just don’t want to fuck up what we have because of how I treated other girls in the past.”
To be quite honest, you didn’t care about the stories that had been circulating about Steve’s past relationships, because you knew a different version of Steve now. You could tell that he genuinely cared about you, and that he was willing to put in the effort to make things work between you two.
You saw beyond his popularity and charm, and recognized the kind, caring person that he was underneath it all. Right off the bat, Steve was honest with you. He told you about how exhausted he was with meaningless relationships. That he wanted to move past that stage in his life and actually have a connection with someone, you.
He was everything that you ever wanted and you wanted him to see himself the way that you saw him—as a kind, caring person who was worthy of love and affection.
“You do deserve me, Steve,” you said firmly, looking him directly in the eye. “I’m with you because I see the person that you are and not the person you think you’re defined by because of the past.”
As you sat on the couch with Steve, staring into his own unsure eyes, you remember how, when you were younger, you used to think that love was supposed to be crazy and wild. You believed that the more dramatic and intense the relationship, the more you were in love. You thought that fights were an indication of passion and that intense emotions were proof of how much you cared for each other.
But you were so wrong, and you wished you realized that back then, but you knew better now and now you were here with better…Steve.
Your ex-boyfriends used to make you cry and left you hiding away in bathrooms not knowing how to deal with the constant conflict. They had made you feel small and insignificant, and you had thought at the time that it was a normal part of being in a relationship.
You remember how the fights would go on and on without any resolution. You both would talk in circles, never truly hearing each other out, and then one of you would storm out without a word, leaving the issue unresolved. It was exhausting, and you always yearned for something more.
And then you had the privilege and honor of meeting Steve Harrington. The guy who changed the playing field and showed you, for the first time, what love felt like. It wasn’t crazy or wild, but steady and supportive.
You remembered those horrible feelings of the past and you needed Steve to know that the past worries would be defeated soon.
“Remember Ryan?”
His face turned up in confusion and disugst, “Ryan? Your ex-boyfriend? Yeah—wait, why’re we talking about Ryan?”
You laughed a bit, shaking your head as you urged him to listen.
“Ryan was a dick. He made me cry all the time and…I used to think that it was normal. That it was ok.” You paused, taking a deep breath. “He made me feel so unlovable, Steve. Like I would never measure up to be a good girlfriend. Ever.”
Steve squeezed your hand, sensing the importance of your story, “I never thought that I was ever going to be loved because of how he made me feel…but I was so wrong, because I’m sitting here with you.”
Steve looked at you for a long moment, and you could see the doubt slowly melting away from his eyes. “Screw Ryan” he mumbled, making you throw your head back and laugh, nodding as he smiled lightly.
“Yeah, screw him.” You agreed, “And you wanna know something else?”
He hummed, grazing his thumbs across your knuckles as he brought them closer to his lips and laid a kiss to your delicate skin, “What, baby?”
“I’m so thankful for all of the girls you loved before, because they all led you to me.”
You weren’t going to lie, even though you accepted that Steve had quite the track record, it still was intimidating to know he’d been with so many girls—worried that you might just be a name written in his blank space. It might have made you insecure or doubtful in the beginning, but Steve had done more than prove that not only was he a changed man, but that all of those experiences led him right to you.
That all this time, those storms and breakdowns would somehow lead you both together. Wrapping up all of your shared hurt and mistakes in barbed wire in order to understand and sympathize with your respective pasts. That all this time, those parallel lines were ribbons of strings tying you both together.
Steve looks at you, his eyes full of surprise and admiration. “Really?” he asks, his voice tinged with disbelief.
You smile at him, feeling the warmth of his hand in yours as you nodded, “Every single girl you’ve ever loved made you the man that you are now,” you continue. “And I’m in love with you more than any other girl ever was. I see all of the amazing qualities that you have, and I know that they came from the struggles you faced in the past.”
Steve’s eyes crinkle with joy as he takes your face in his hands. Every ounce of doubt he had within himself dissipating with every moment and breath he got to spend here with you. That he would spend forever on this couch delving into both of your feelings if it meant getting the chance to fall even more deeply and madly in love with you than he already was.
Never in a million years did he ever think that he’d be sitting here with you. He knew that his younger self would be racing up and down the hallways of his childhood home and celebrating at the top of his lungs if he knew that he’d be getting to spend every passing second with the girl of his dreams and someone who accepted him for him.
His mother, despite their distant relationship, always told him to never let the right girl slip out of his life because of the wrong decisions. That he would know when he was in love and that when he knew, he best treat her with kindness and stay loyal to her for eternity. That love could last a lifetime if you treat it right.
“You know, I’ve never really loved any other girl except you?” He’s looking back and forth between your eyes, making sure you understand, “Sure, I thought I did at the time, but looking back now, it was nothing compared to what I feel for you.”
Teenage love was nothing compared to what you and Steve had. There was something enchanting and magical that you two had that made it so everything else in the past was lost in the past. That there was no harm in saying goodbye to people who damaged or made you feel less than, because that only led you one step closer to what you always wanted and who you always deserved.
Steve’s words hit you hard, and you can feel your heart swelling with love and gratitude. You lean in and plant a soft kiss on his lips, savoring the sweetness of the moment.
“I love you so much, baby,” you whisper, your forehead pressed against his.
“I love you too, more than anything,” he replies, his arms wrapped tightly around you.
You can feel the warmth of his embrace and the steady beat of his heart against your chest, and it’s like nothing else in the world matters. You know that you’ve found your forever person that you’re going to spend forever with.
“Wanna dance?” you say, breaking the silence.
Steve looks at you with affection, and you can see a soft smile spreading across his face before he gets up, offering you his hand. “Let’s dance, baby.”
“Hey Google, play “Lover” by Taylor Swift.” You announced, grinning back at him as the familiar tune fills the living room of the house that you and Steve had made yours.
You wrap your arms around his neck, and he pulls you close, swaying gently to the music. As you dance, you feel the love and happiness that you have for each other. The two of you stayed there, lost in each other’s embrace, enjoying the simple pleasure of being together.
He leaned in to give you a gentle kiss, feeling grateful for the chance to be with someone who makes him feel so loved and understood. You both know that love isn’t always easy, but with each other, it feels like it’s worth all the effort.
You know that this moment, and this love, is exactly how forever should feel.

Here Be Spoilers: The TL;DR Version
Skip this post if you dont wanna know. But you’ll still find out anyway.
Carmen and VILE go on more heists, Carmen wearing a brown wig to conceal the changes she went through.
Aciano and Blendin finally meet as brothers but not before accidentally sharing a cute gay romantic exchange as strangers. Whoops! Well now they know and it takes a while for it not to be awkward between them, so they’re chill now. Ty, Blendin’s boyfriend, being open and understanding, never lets Blendin live it down, even after its revealed that Blendin IS the magician’s assistant!! The boys and Daring end up finding an Enby pickpocket and befriending them, they join VILE but they get along better with the kids than anything so Carmen decides to adopt the pickpocket, an Owlin named Puck. Child count is now 4.
Carmen and Kiros go on a heist in the 1700’s Caribbean but got shipwrecked, damaging their C5 Doorway devices and not having a way home. So an hour heist turned into a couple months island vacation on a deserted island where natives mistake Kiros to be a God. Theres more tea to spill. Because they were only supposed to be gone an hour, Carmen did not bring any of her medication with her. The exact medication that suppresses heat cycles to a more manageable experience and acts as her birth control as well. And not to forget, Kiros has an ability that amplifies and absorbs pheromones. Time goes by and they finally get saved by some quick thinking and a few dozen messages tucked into bottles, and gave everyone quite the surprise when they returned home, and Carmen carrying TWINS. Updated child count to 6.
At least six months after the Twins’ birth, which were two girls, Desiree and Mira, everything seemed to be back to normal. M had taken more than a simple liking to Lekir’s friend Kalai as to which they were actively courting. Lekir, Kiros and Wally were helping Carmen care for the twins. Wally getting more and more distant though. Carmen confronts him and he tries to make it up to her by giving her a wonderful wedding anniversary full of romance and passion.
That last part really becomes a sour note because during their passionate love making, Wally starts crying after their climax and slips a nerve blocker emp sticker to her back, a little higher than he meant to, not only disabling her cybernetics but paralyzing her to where she could only move her eyes and breathe. She couldnt even speak or ask why. He hadn’t even pulled out yet and his hands clutched around her throat. He begged himself not to do it but he also begged for her forgiveness because he couldnt stop. He squeezed, crushing her esophagus, trachea and finally her neck snaps. His words to her was that soon the RAINE will wash it all away. She literally goes brain dead gone for a good while as he makes his escape, with the twins. So little innocent Wally just committed murder and kidnapping in one swoop. All because he was blackmailed. Sure, he was cured from the disease but not the muscle control..
And the Blackmailers? They are called RAINE, led by a stallion named Gunnar Maelstrom. Yes, that one from the two other Carmen Sandiego cartoons of 2019 and 1990. In fact, this Maelstrom knows it too because he enlisted those Maelstroms’ help in planning Carmen’s downfall since before the museum fire as well as boosting productivity and success of RAINE for their own profit. RAINE is a shadow government Syndicate that practically makes the world run, from economics to politics to even school boards and town hall meetings. They are like the illuminati meets Masons only with the charisma of celebrities and influencers but the audacity of fascists and Nazis. They let the public think they are in control of their lives but we all know how the public can be swayed and bought. Immigration issues and turbulent border control fuel the paranoia of the “Unnaturals”, or ones who are unconventional hybrids or even beings who supposedly live past their means by way of magical or artificial enhancements, prosthetics must only provide the ability as a normal limb would, other disabled beings were shunned and separated, shipped to “healing facilities” where they mysteriously disappear, creatures that are hybrids are sent away to other camps and programs advertised to assist and help but thats never the case. Each one is experimented upon to find more ways to eliminate further advances of the individuals and their kin. Wolf in sheep’s clothing. These are the same people who forced Waldo’s hands to break his wife’s neck on their anniversary and kidnap newborn twins for two reasons: elimination of a constant problem and the gaining of long sought after DNA of escaped SCP-682, in the hopes of finding a way to finally terminate Kiros as a favor to the SCP Foundation, who was also in RAINE’s pocket.
Back to Carmen, whose body was starting to get cold, was discovered by M who tried to revive her via CPR. Luckily, he discovered that Carmen had a gift from Daring implanted into her chest, a coin with a phoenix on it, and if the holder dies suddenly, it will ignite and revive and heal the body to the point before the mortal wound occurred. She soon was lit up like a bonfire, destroying her sheets, but otherwise had a sore throat and a long lasting bruise around her neck, this is also where the circle shape under her collar bone appears. So she finally awakens and she was PISSED.
Carmen LIFTED her no kill ban. She was out for blood, and she wanted Wally’s. She ordered everyone to get as much info on RAINE as they could find, searching for Wally and going on the offensive with utterly destroying multiple facilities, freeing as many people as possible from the harmful experimental imprisonment and elimination. RAINE soon learned about this and changed its facilities to reflect more innocent facilities such as children’s hospitals and pet shelters, painting Carmen and VILE as terrorists rather than just thieves.
One of the last missions the team went on to destroy a facility, M and Lekir followed a lead where they could have found Waldo. M was caught off guard as he was stuck with a needle and injected with special serums that stripped him of his powers, leaving him trapped in a glass enclosure as a mere mortal. And he was forced to watch as RAINE fatally strikes down Lekir, no wounds, no damage, just no more life left and drops dead. M still blames himself for her death.
Now, with both lovers gone, Carmen has gone on the warpath but is advised by Lekir’s other friend from Cador. She strikes a deal where Celica helps infiltrate and eliminates the seats in power and swaps them out with her own people, striving for better change and trustworthy governments and all. They finally have a showdown with the Maelstroms but VILE is triumphant once and for final with the element of surprise, Carmen taking Maelstrom’s seat of power for herself, effectively stealing the entire world. She starts making the world a better place, even finding her twin daughters in a pocket world where they have aged and raised to hunt and hate Carmen and VILE. They soon learn the truth and join VILE reluctantly at first.
Carmen then gets word that Waldo was found in Times Square. After a brief chase and rainy rooftop scuffle resulting in a skyscraper drop to the pavement below, both surviving, Wally still on the wet pavement and Carmen pointing her gun directly to his face, she almost pulls the trigger. A crowd has formed.
M comes out and touches her horn, making her pull the trigger, just missing his head, and her body falls to the ground unconscious. The scene past M walks in on. Past M thought Carmen died then. As does the rest of the world. After she wakes up back at VILE from being unconscious, she watches the news and decides its best leave this as it is, but continues heists on other worlds, going as far as having a public funeral for herself, closing the book on the BackStory.
After some time, the kids grown and both kids and Agents went off to have families of their own, heists slow down and VILE itself falls into obscurity over the years. Carmen herself goes off and disappears off grid without warning. By then, her name is spoken in whispers, much like superstitions among the new crime lords rising into power. Older generations remember the myth of the Red Rogue, and her war against those who did wrong. As if her ghost were to come and turn their reign asunder if they even breathed wrong. The younger generations were more brazen. A new wave of crime has resurfaced, taking city districts as their own, even the reformed ACME Agency couldnt keep them in check this time. The Faculty, lead by a Lee Jordan, former apprentice of Maelstrom, dares to attempt to rekindle his own version of RAINE.
He isnt the only youngster looking to rekindle old practices. A young vixen who has ghost related powers, attempts to bring the old team back together with the help of her parents: M and Kalai. Only thing, a lot of time has passed and the old team can only mentor now, she will need to find a new team to take on the Faculty. But first, she needs to find the Red Rogue’s ghost herself within the cyberpunk concrete jungle she was last rumored to be spotted.
Only the vixen finds.. that Red Rogue’s ghost isnt a ghost at all. Carmen is alive and well. And she upgraded her look to be near all cybernetic and has a new animal companion and watchdog, a white cerberus yokai hybrid named Xerxes.
And now we have been brought to the current storyline. Enjoy your stay.

The Summer it Came True

Chapter 3
Pairing: Bangchan × black female reader named Kel
Word count: 2191
More under the cut!
Two days had passed since you bumped into him at the store.
Two days had passed since you saw his face again after what felt like forever.
Two days had passed since you realised my feelings for him were still very much there.
Two days had passed since you exchanged numbers.
Two days had passed, and he hadn't texted you.
We're you supposed to text first? Was he waiting for you to text him? You surely couldn't do that. You didn't want to seem thirsty. You had to take your mind off all this. You still didn't have designs ready for the collection. Some summer this was.
You were making myself a quick sandwich when you saw your phone light up from a message, and you just knew it was him, so you instantly dropped what you were doing and picked up your phone.
...
Chan
Hey
You
Hi
Chan
I stopped by the old neighbourhood today to visit friends, and your house still looks the exact same way it did before I left. The only difference is that no one was in it. I would have loved to see your parents again. Maybe I'll check back another time.
You
Chan... my parents died in a car crash six years ago. I stay at the beach house every summer now. That's why no one was at home.
Chan
Are you pulling my legs right now, Kel?
What do you mean?
No one told me anything, not even my mom
I'm so sorry that happened, Kel
I shouldn't have said that
I'm so sorry
You
No, don't worry, it's fine.
You didn't know
How could you have known?
Just forget about it. I'm okay.
Chan
So what's going on with you?
You
Well, for starters, after mom and dad died, they left everything to me. The houses, cars, and the entire company. I became the ceo of a multi-million dollar company at the age of 20. And I'm currently drowning in work. Other than that, nothing too interesting. You?
Chan
Oh, that's definitely not what I expected to hear. So, no parties or boyfriends or?
I already told you everything that was up with me when we bumped into each other at the store. That was pretty much it.
You
Oh, so what do you plan to do while you're here?
Chan
Well, I have two weeks here in Sydney and two weeks in Melbourne because of family, so I'm just trying to meet up with old friends, but things have changed a lot. No one actually still lives in the neighbourhood except you, Ryan, and Jade.
You
Yep, everyone did leave eventually. Some of them probably live in other countries now. I didn't keep in touch that much to know what happened to everyone.
Chan
Oh...
It'd be nice to catch up sometime
You
I'm sorry I have to go now
I'm getting a call from work
Bye chan
Why did Angie have to call you now? Why now? She called was probably calling to know how the designs were going and how were you going to tell her that you didn't have anything yet?
You looked back at your sandwich on the table and reread the chats from your conversation. Why did he ask about boyfriends? Why did he care? He said he wanted to meet up with you. Did he truly want to see you, or were you just his only hope because everyone else was gone?
Hours passed after your little conversation with chan. It was evening now, and your butt had fully merged with your office chair. You had made some progress with the designs, but you didn't really like them, so you decided to keep those and start new ones.
You got thirsty, so you went downstairs for a drink, and that was when you heard a knock on your door. Nobody except Angie, your secretary and CJ knew knew the address to the beach house, and from what you knew, CJ was in Paris for a show, and Angie was still at work. Who could it be? You didn't order anything either, so you weren't expecting anyone.
"Who is it?" You asked, looking through the peephole, but you didn't see anyone, and no one answered, so you threw caution out the window and opened the door.
You opened the door only to be met with no one. Was someone pulling a prank on you? You were just about to shut the door and go about your business when someone wedged their foot in between it, and this wasn't just a random person it was HIM. It was Chan. What was he doing here? Why did he have a box of chocolates in his hand?
"Hi." He said with a smile on his face. You had fully opened the door now, so you just stood looking looking at each other.
"Oh my God, chan, you scared me. What are you doing here? More importantly, how did you find your way here?"
"C'mon kel have some faith in me. Things did change but not that much. Of course, I still remember the beach house."
"Oh." You said, not knowing what else to say.
"Can I come in?" He asked. You totally forgot that you were just standing on opposite sides of your door staring at each other.
"Oh yeah, sure. I'm sorry." You moved out of the way so he could make his way in. As you turned back towards him from locking the door, you were met with Chan handing out the box of chocolates to you.
"Oh, thank you. But why?" You said while stretching out my hands to collect the box like you weren't about to explode.
"It's the least I could do after disappearing for years. It's nothing." He answered your question.
It wasn't nothing. In fact, it was everything. The man you had feelings for just gave me a box of chocolates. You were losing it.
You told him to have a seat on one of the couches, and you made your way to the kitchen to drop the box of chocolates on the island
"Do you want anything?" You asked from the kitchen.
"Just water is fine." He replied. You got a bottle of water out from the fridge and handed it to him.
"Thank you. I honestly came by to see you because everything you told me about you working reminded me of me. You shouldn't keep yourself cooped up in here. I spend so much time working that i barely have time for anyone. Not even myself. I don't want that to happen to you." Chan said when he had taken a sip of water
"Well, you're about six years late, but I'll give you an A for effort." He laughed a bit when you said that and then patted the empty spot next to him on the sofa to signal you to sit down. You honestly forgot that you were still standing. This whole situation was still a bit shocking to you.
"What I'm trying to say is it's summer. You should take a break. Let me take you out tonight. Just to clear your head."
Did you hear properly, or were you having auditory hallucinations? Did he just offer to take you out? All of a sudden? Was this like a date? Of course, it wasn't a date he just wanted to catch up because he hadn't been around, and you were the only one accessible to him.
You stood there not knowing what to say so he told you that if you didn't want to come you didn't have to but you reassured him that you did want to (like you would ever pass on the opportunity to go out with him) and he should give you a few minutes to get ready. He was dressed in black cargo pants, a white shirt, and a black hat, so you decided to mirror him a bit.
You put on black cargo shorts and a cropped white tank, then coupled it with a black shrug, white socks, black platform converses, and a black mini backpack to keep your things in.
You combed my curls out, put on some light makeup, and made my way downstairs.
"Okay, I'm ready. Where exactly are we going?" You asked.
"Is the old amusement park still open at this time? I haven't been there in years." He replied your question with a question.
"Yeah, it is." You said.
"Okay, so let's go there."
"Wow, so so you didn't even have anything planned. What if the park had closed down or something?" You said sarcastically.
"Then we would have driven around till we found something to do. Now stop talking and let's go."
"Let me just grab my keys." You told him.
"Give them to me. I'll drive." He said, stretching out his hand to collect the key
"No, it's my car. I'll drive and you be my passenger princess." That was funny if you said so yourself.
"No. I insist I drive since I'm the one who suggested the outing." It was clear that you were both stubborn, and this debate on who should drive was not going to end anytime soon.
"Should we just rock, paper, scissors for it?" You suggested. He agreed, and he ended up winning. He happily took the keys from your hand and started the car while you turned off lights in the house and locked up.
You joined him in the car through the passenger seat, and he reminded you to use your seat belt for safety. You wanted to tell him that you knew very well how cars worked, but decided it was best not to say anything.
You both ended up talking about his experience in Korea, and you were more than shocked to find out that he trained for seven years without any assurance that he would debut. He only debuted in 2018. He had been a trainee longer than he had been an idol.
"We're here." He said when you arrived at the gate.
You both got out of the car and made your way to the ticketing booth, and there you had another argument about who would put money on the ride and games card.
You ended up agreeing to split the bill half and half, and proceeded to go on the rides. You couldn't help but notice just how much of a baby he still was. The way he squealed and giggled when we got on particularly scary rides, was so precious to you. He even begged for you guys not to go into the haunted house and you almost cried laughing.
It made you think about everything he told you about being a trainee for seven years and how his childhood was basically taken away from him because he wanted to pursue his dreams.
He gave up his youth for his future.
After you had gotten on basically every ride in the park, you found some benches and sat on one together. There was an awkward silence for some minutes, and you were lost in his beautiful features, but you were snapped out of thought when he got up from the bench and told you that he'd be back.
You almost wanted to follow him, but for some reason, you decided to sit back and wait. Some minutes after, he came back with an entire tray of food.
"I didn't know what you wanted, so I just got the same thing for the both of us." He said sitting down.
You looked at what he had got, and it was hotdogs, fries, and milkshakes. You were about to combust. This man was so nice and caring. He was perfect.
By the time you were done eating, it was a little bit after 11, and you definitely couldn't go on rides after eating, so you decided to get going.
He wanted to return the games card to you before you parted ways, but you told him to keep it because he might want to come back sometime before he left, and surprisingly, he didn't argue. He just said thank you and kept it in his wallet.
The Uber that he had ordered to take him back to his hotel room had arrived, so he handed me my keys. we both said goodbye to each other and parted ways.
You didn't want him to leave yet, but what were you supposed to say? Chan, don't go. I have feelings for you?
By the time you got home, you had received a text from him.
...
Chan
Thank you for today
I haven't had this much fun in a while
You
What are you thanking me for?
I should be thanking you. You finally got me to have some fun, and plus, you suggested it
Chan
Hey, I was wondering...
It's kind of lonely in my hotel room, and I have no one to hang out with, but you.
If it's not too inconveniencing, could I come stay in the beach house with you for the remaining time I have in Sydney?
You
Typing...
WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK?
Hi guys! ❤️
If anyone here wants to be added to a permanent taglist for this series feel free to tell me. I would really appreciate it. I hope you guys are enjoying it so far!

baby i might be crazy, but i'm yours 💋
My Dear Upper East Readers, When you think you've healed from something, the universe tests you by throwing itself at you, if you pass, you pass, and if you fail, well, good luck trying again and again until you do. I hadn't realized this back then when I had come out of my second or rather my first real relationship, I had taken some time to gather myself again, pick up my pieces, and find out where exactly I started falling apart. I was doing pretty good, of course, until he showed up.
I would've given him a name but I honestly don't think he's worth all that trouble, taylor swift writes songs about the horrid things men have done, and I write about it. It all started when I was on my way home from college and he came up to me to ask me and I remember his exact words, "Hey, do I know you from somewhere?", I should've known, my intuition was telling me he was bad news, I felt very nervous to be approached by him and yet I choose to ignore it all, I was still smart enough to evade him and say "nope! bye!" and hid in the bathroom for a while.  As I was walking, I realized he was right ahead of me, meaning we'd probably live in the same area. Hence, I couldn't avoid him, so I did the one thing I knew I was amazing at, hurriedly walking ahead of him as I was running to go home. Still, he got the better of me and he striked up a conversation again, I didn't know how else to avoid him so I just bared through it until I reached my place. I realized he was actually a pretty sweet guy, he knew a lot of my interests, he read me like an open book ( which frankly should've scared me considering this was the first time we ever met) and he was pretty charming and a way with his words.
Now that I'm writing about it, I realize I had so many chances to realize he was a major red flag, but we're all colorblind to selective men, aren't we? we exchanged ids' and had a lot of conversations, I started to realize he was super clingy and wanted to meet every other day, I don't mind clingy-ness but my college was having this huge event and I was actually quite busy to make time for a situationship. Granted he did ask me out the next day (over text might I add) and his words were "hey you seem really interesting, do you wanna go out?" and I was like "oh my gosh, a guy is taking the time out of his day to talk to me and ask me out?? how blessed am I??" Well clearly, a lot considering the lesson you are about to learn.
Alas, it didn't really work out because of our hectic schedules and both of us taking equally long to reply to each other's texts, so we decided to cut it off, or rather, I decided to end it by blocking him. But we live in the same area, our colleges are in the same area, how could I not run into him again? And this time, I was taught a lesson I will never ever forget in my entire life, never go anywhere with a man without letting anyone know your location or whereabouts.
As always, it was lovely writing to you, my dear Upper East reader.
Until next time,
stay chic and candy,
xoxo candygirl 💋

merlin looks in the mirror and smiles.
he counts the years, the centuries, one after the one, he keeps track of them, like prisoners in a suffocating cell making tally marks on a wall.
he looks in the mirror every morning, his personal routine, between waking up and staring at the ceiling of his small apartment and getting ready for breakfast.
(there is a single moment in which he asks himself where he is. which country, which age? which house is his new home? none, a traitorous voice whispers in his ear, none, because his home is gone, forever, not a trace of it left. history has deleted everything but him.)
merlin looks in the mirror and he hates his eyes the most, but he smiles.
(there is nothing left but smiling)
("I haven't seen you smile these past three days")
lately, he walks around a lot.
this century is not made for walking and leisure, for moving around slowly and letting the mind ebb and flow like the tide. fast cars flashes on concrete streets, the noise of motors and the dirty smell of smoke drifting through the air.
merlin has lived too many years to remember how it was, when the sky was full of stars, and the city full of the chatter of people instead of the noise of business, when the woods sank into magic. now the woods are disappearing, and even magic comes more slowly than honey to him.
there’s a phantom of how it was, so feeble it often slips away through his fingers.
(merlin is terrified, because he is forgetting. he is forgetting and there is nothing he can do. he reads his journals, thousands of them, filled in a tiny cursive with memories, but that’s not enough. he reads, camelot was coated in dark red and sweet gold, and, gwen and i once got drunk together on mead and spent our days weaving crowns, and, arthur’s prattishness was forgiven the day he gifted me my first cloak. he reads everything he wrote but those events are further and further away.)
(merlin wonders how much is memory and how much he is just imagining. he doesn’t remember the color of the cloak arthur gave him. he wrote that it was blue, but he isn’t sure. he has to believe the words, because his mind comes out blank, and oh, how scary, to have to rely on pages of paper, weak to the elements of life, destined to turn to dust. all his life, contained in a few journals. all his life, one he can’t remember.)
every morning, merlin looks in the mirror, and his eyes stare back at him, and he hates them, because they always were a shade away from arthur’s. they are so similar to his king’s, and yet different enough.
it is an awful thing, being deprived of arthur’s gaze as well as his life.
(some days, merlin is not able to look at the color red without his chest aching.
some days, merlin thinks about arthur, about gwaine, about gaius, and he doesn’t feel anything. his heart doesn’t hurt and his stomach doesn’t twist in pain.)
(he doesn’t know what’s worse: his blind, useless grief, or this dull indifference.)
merlin is not sure what would become of him if he forgets about camelot, but he knows that everything that keeps his life together is the love he feels for those he left behind, all those centuries ago.
without his love, he is nothing.
the day he’ll stop missing them, will be the day merlin would die as well.
but for him, death is not the end of life.
he can’t see his friends anymore if not in his memories and dreams, after all.
there will never be relief for him.
(will he ever be ready to stop clinging to them? he doesn’t want to know. he doesn’t know if he wants to move on.)
(a part of him knows that he doesn’t deserve to move on, and oh, isn’t that so sweet?)
merlin counts the years and writes his journals and wakes up every few decades in a different place. his roots have rotten, and there’s no ground for him to grow into.
his roots are in a past no longer tangible.
merlin is tired, as he walks and writes.
(have i done enough, arthur? when will have i done enough? when can i rest?)
merlin tells arthur’s story, but no one will tell his.
his love is but a forgotten shore, dry and overflowing in all the wrong directions.
the future is behind him now.
he looks in the mirror in the evening and smiles.
he doesn’t remember how arthur’s voice sounded.
these days, he is forgetting his own as well.
when he goes to sleep, there’s a body in his desperate arms, and the sound of wings leaving him, dooming him to eternity.
in a sea of sweet, flowery moments, shining and warm, the one to remain with him is rusted blood and the taste of salt on his lips.
("I haven't seen you smile these past three days")

(hey, listen to my recommend song to read with <3)
Izuku who fantasizes what it's like to hold your hand when he first falls in love with you.
Izuku who, once you start getting closer, wonders what it would be like if you were his.
You were so close, yet so far at the same time. You were right in front of him, within his grasp, but he couldn't bring himself to make the move. The one move that could make you his.
There were times when he reached out, every time it ended up in failure. Surely, you weren't this clueless? Or maybe it was because you truly just didn't see him the way he wanted you to. Oh, how his heart yearned for the day you would fall head over heels for him like he did for you.
Each time you walked into the classroom he felt his heart do summersaults, beating at a rate that could shock anyone. How hard had he fallen? He often questions himself. And why he did so. Perhaps his heart had a mind of its own.
Even as he worked, your features would make its way into his mind, easily distracting him from what he was originally doing. It was dangerous grounds when he had a pen and paper in his hands when you came to mind, to say the least. On most days he scribbles down little details about you he catches. You're just mesmerizing. And that wasn't even your quirk.
He hoped that you wouldn't find the small notebook he got just for you, pages filled from top to bottom describing how beautiful you were as a person. He wrote on and on about your personality the most, your appearance was just a bonus. A really big bonus.
But it seems the world has different plans for him. The day he forgot to put that exact notebook away was when you had a project to do. Izuku Midoriya, who's known for his strategic planning, forgot to simply put away something that could ultimately decide where your friendship would lead.
And it didn't look like it was going down a road he wanted.
He came back with a few snacks in hand, giddy about spending time with you. Once he opened the door he thought his eyes were deceiving him. You, the one he admired for so long, held the very thing he never wanted you to see. Your reaction could've been funny out of context, but to him it was the end of the world.
"H-hey, midoriya." You looked like you saw a ghost just slam the door open instead of him. He saw the anxiousness start to arise in you just by looking at your eyes. The same ones that had him swooning. He mustered up the courage to finally speak, knowing very well you probably read enough from the first couple of pages, "How much..did you read?"
Your head almost immediately dropped towards the floor, hands fiddling with each other. "Listen, I think..." You stopped, debating what you would say next, "maybe we should study tomorrow? I'm pretty tired tonight from all the training, y'know?" You chuckled, trying to hide the awkwardness rising in the atmosphere.
Izuku knew what you were really trying to say. He knew from the very way you laughed. It didn't sound like your usual one that was genuine. He let his bangs cover his face as he stared at the snacks in his hands. Still being the gentleman he is, he moved out of your way and opened the door for you.
"Yea, that's alright."
Without another second wasted, he saw you jump up from your seat and hastily walk past him, leaving him alone with his somber heart that once chased after you.
Izuku, who threw away his notebook filled with everything about you, tossed it in the trash.
Izuku who, that day, also threw away all his feelings he had for you. At least, he tried to.
Oh, how hard it was for him to forget what he held for you. Every time you walked down the hallway or into class. Every time you mentioned his name. Every time you simply walked past him, his heart broke a little. There were few words exchanged between you two now, making it impossible for him to be around you without wanting to cry on the spot.
Izuku, who wonders what it would've been like if you hadn't read his notebook.

Tumblr media
Being married to the one considered the best football player in the world had a lot of perks. Lavish trips around the world, luxury hotels, private jets, million dollar houses and all the diamonds and fancy jewelry you can dream of. Of course both you and your husband don’t really like to spend that much money on materialistic things. You know you had an extremely privileged life for marrying Noa but it hasn't been all roses. His cold exterior to the world and his friends comes home with him to your marriage. It was extremely hard at first to get to know him but eventually you came to know he’s an incredibly sweet and thoughtful man who tries his best to make you happy, even if he doesn't express himself too much.
“My love!” You coo to him when he returns home from his morning practice, even if it’s Valentine’s day he still goes to work his muscles and team. Leaving your bed too empty in the morning.
“I’m home” He gives you a small smile as he lets you bury yourself in his arms. He then proceeds to pick you up as you yelp.
“Noa, put me down” you giggle as he starts to walk back to the door he came from.
“We are going for a walk” he closes the door of your apartment in Germany’s Munich, not forgetting to grab a jacket for you. You guess he will take you to The Hofgarten garden, you know that place all too well. When Noel enters the elevator he puts you down and hands you the puffy packet for you to dress.
Like you guessed he takes you to the garden and you walk along the large garden, you see the temple and tug him by the arm to appreciate it even more. You actually met him in this exact garden when you two were in highschool. He was in a tournament and came all the way from France and you were on a field trip. You still remember that day so clearly, the flowers in bloom and the fountain’s water sparkling, the aroma of summer all around you.
Later on the day you all exchanged contacts and Noel actually kept in contact with you. When he started to get contracts in pro-leagues he came to visit you from time to time until a few years ago he moved in with you. Not even a year after moving together he actually proposed to you in the temple of the middle of the garden.
“Who are you talking to?” You ask when you notice Noel is not listening to you and texting.
“Mhm? No one, you were saying?” He puts his phone away and now gives you his full attention. Even if it is February and most people are tucked away in their houses there are still a few couples in the streets, with a lot of them recognizing Noa, but he doesn't spare them a glance.
“It’s a special day, I’m here to spend time with my spouse and you should do the same” he keeps it short and dismisses anyone who might want an interview or photo. You let your face fall on his shoulder as you become completely smitten with your husband yet again. You spend around an hour just walking slowly hand in hand, remembering all of the countless times spent together in this park.
“Okay, thanks” Noa receives a call and squeezes your hand to get your attention “let's head back.”
“Alright, where do you want to have dinner?” You ask him, curious if he will take you on a romantic dinner date in a fancy restaurant.
“We can order” he says with such a serious face you just have to laugh.
“Noel Noa, the world’s number one player offers his spouse takeout on valentine’s day” you laugh teasing him, even if you don’t care too much about what he gets you, you still like to tease him and get a good laugh. Noa has learned himself that it’s better to ignore you when you only want to get a laugh out of him. Noa actually seems eager to get back as he is constantly rushing you or widening his steps, you obliged and before you know it his keys are on the lock of the house.
He turns the key and lets you walk in first, you open the door and see rose petals spread from the doorway to the bedroom on the wooden floor. You raise your eyebrow to Noa to question him but he only gestures for you to continue walking. You grab his hand giving it a squeeze and he follows quietly after you. You arrive at your shared bedroom with the petals now culminating on top of the bed, with a champagne bottle on the side of the bed with two glasses and a few chocolates and strawberries.
“Thank you” you turn to face Noa as you let the back of your legs hit the edge of the bed.
“Only the best for you” he smiles gently at you and wraps his arms around your waist. You entangle your arms around his neck and pull him down for a sweet kiss. Noa wastes no time as he continues pushing you down to the bed and you happily oblige.
“So, what do you want further?” Noa asks as he pours the champagne into the glasses and gives you one as he drinks from the other glass.
“I’m perfectly content already” you stand straighter in bed as you start drinking the frizzly substance.
“It’s fine to spoil you from time to time” Noa wraps his arm over your shoulder and pulls you close to him.
“You already spoil me so much” you kiss his cheek. It is true, he buys you anything you might like, when he has games he takes you with him so you can spend more time together and you can sightsee different parts of the world. Whenever he has time he always takes you on dinner dates. Noa hums in agreement but still pulls himself off of the bed and you bite your lip when you see his naked and scratched back, all it’s muscles work and shift. He returns shortly after, quickly snuggling in bed again before giving you a small velvet box. You look at him sideways before opening it. You see a silver medallion with the word ‘Roxanne’ and you frown wondering if Noa has made a mistake. You turn to look at him but his smile only grows.
Noa looks to the door when someone knocks, you pull the sheets to cover your chest but your husband only keeps smiling as the valet opens the door and you widen your eyes as you see what he brings in his arms. Noa asks the man to bring it to his arms as the man quickly leaves again.
“Hi” you coo “I think this belongs to you” you grab the medallion that is actually a collar and put it around what you assume is your gift, a german shepherd puppy, that is still so small and fluffy. Seeing your extremely buff, shirtless husband hugging a puppy is the perfect image and you just have to take a quick photo to welcome the new resident.
“My love” you kiss Noa before taking the puppy, Roxane, in your hands and petting it as it starts licking you back on your face and you nearly die from cuteness “thank you so much" marriage with Noa might be slightly hard, but there's no doubt he does try to provide you with only the best.

a/n: little run down of the series here, if I'm missing any warnings or there are any problems please let me know. Please enjoy and be kind🤍
Part 1 | series masterlist
・☆: *.☽ .* :☆
You. All he could think about is you.
Marc had caught onto Steven's pining pretty quickly. Steven had started fronting more when you were around, you'd both watch documentaries or attempt to cook together. When Marc was co-conscious he'd noticed the way Steven would watch you, eyes averted from the tv, instead mapping every line of your face. He would only turn away when your eyes caught him but he'd always risk another peak to see the way you'd smile as you looked back to the screen.
Marc could feel the way their heart would race when you'd get close enough to lean your head on his shoulder or when your hand would brush against his while out walking. He even noticed the way Steven started noting your favourite things. It had started small like your favourite drink and slowly grew to your favourite movie and restaurant, filling in this little notebook because he didn't want to forget.
Marc knew how Steven felt, without any exchange of words, he knew. He understood better than anyone what it was like to fall in love with you. He just didn't know how to bring it up with either of you.
-
"Do you think you could ever love more than one person?" It's pillow talk really and Marc hopes you don't read too much into it... yet. It's late, you both should've been asleep hours ago but you'd found much better things to do. Now you're cuddled up in bed and Marc thinks this is the best time to talk to you about this.
"Yeah obviously," you answer the question like it's nothing, staring up at him, "why'd you ask?" You turn in his hold resting your hands on his chest and propping your chin on them.
"Just curious," he smiles as his hand holds the side of your head. A little chuckle, that vibrates through your whole body, escapes him when you squint at his answer and there's a pause in the conversation. "You and Steven have been spending a lot more time together," subtle.
"I like Steven, he's more fun than you." Giggles erupt when Marc sarcastically goes 'oh ha ha funny', "no but seriously. He's nice to me and I like when he reads his books aloud when I can't sleep and you're not there to help me sleep." Marc pushes out a laugh at what you're insinuating, "and he's cute. It's cute when he gets a bit flustered especially when it's caused by something I've done." There it is the confirmation Marc needed, the shy way you'd looked away from his gaze and had started to draw absentminded shapes on his skin with your finger. He knew you well enough to know this was the exact way he'd felt about you, the exact way Steven feels about you, he now just had to think of a way for you both to see that.

Ok but also modern Xiao is the exact type of boy to fall madly in love with a camgirl/egirl.
Like people joke about "beta" dudes and simps being the type to like camgirls and whatnot but from what I've heard from accounts of camgirls, those dudes are the most *vocal*, but the real loyal viewers are the silent ones. Quiet, socially inept kissless-virgin loners that don't have a social life to speak of.
As a camgirl you get a lot of commenters during streams -- there's always dudes who feel the need, for whatever reason, to comment on parts of your body or the acts you perform, or a bunch of simple comments like "hot!!" and, you know, various spammed emojis. And most of the bastards seem to think their comments are worth more than money, since they leave the bare minimum despite all their drooling over you, but that's just how people are.
You do get one, though, that's virtually silent. Almost a lurker, if it weren't for the massive cash drops the guy deposits once per stream and one very short comment. It's very simple, it's always a huge donation, followed by a very simple request for this or that, a request that certainly isn't really worth the insane sum of money you're being given. Worded very plainly, no descriptive language or use of emojis or anything, it's more like "suck on it." or "use that one." Sometimes he alone out-donates the rest of your viewers combined.
Not to mention, he's the sole subscriber to the top tier of that patreon you started. So the mystery guy gets a lot of benefits. A custom 10-minute video per month, for starters. You weren't really certain what else you should put on that tier... So you contact him about it and agree upon sending him something per request every month. He's a gross perv, which you could have easily predicted. Asks for things like used underwear and shirts, lipstick prints on your polaroids, hell, you even fill up a tiny container with saliva once for him. Oh, bathwater too. Gross. But he's paying, so.
And then, he starts asking... For something different. A conversation. You're a bit surprised at first, but he's serious. So you do it. Schedule a thirty minute session, message back and forth. You expected maybe he wanted to say something, but you end up doing 99% of the talking - he just asks simple questions. What do you do when you're not working? What do you do for fun? Do you have any family? Do you have any friends? Essentially an interrogation into your life. It feels like the kind of questions someone would ask on a first date, to be honest. You can't help but feel some pity for the guy if he's so lonely that he's willing to pay for this, so, you let it go a bit over the time limit.
You ask some things in return - he seems to not like talking about himself, quickly turns back around to questioning you, but gives brief answers - You're surprised to learn he's young, and not, well, a gross old dude like you're aware most viewers are. Seems odd, why can't he just go out and meet people? You can't say so directly, it would be rude, but he seems to pick up on the hint from things you say and answers the unspoken question - I'm not good with people.
He's aware of how it all works. He's not a delusional bastard that thinks a girl on the internet actually gives a shit about anything but his money, but... It feels nice. He's... A very lonely person. Never got along well with others, never really had anyone that cared. You're always so sweet in your little messages, you send little heart emojis and smileys and xoxo's in every message you send him, and he knows it's part of the act, but sometimes he does like to pretend it's real. The semblance of kindness and warmth and love. Likes to pretend you're being that sweet because that's how you actually are. Likes to forget that he's living on ramen and has a flat-zero savings balance because he's blowing his grocery money and savings on you. Likes to forget the transaction entirely, pretend there's no money involved. And most importantly, likes to forget you have plenty of other dudes that pay for you.
If he's being honest, he does sometimes let... Fantasies run through his head. Sometimes. But he knows it's dumb. And he feels pathetic about it, really. It's not like he can even hope to get a girlfriend in real life, he can't even remember the last time he talked to a female human being. Or... Anyone, for that matter. He has no friends, he works from home online. To say his social life is empty is an understatement.
Becoming addicted to you is only natural. He realizes he's becoming obsessed, but doesn't see any point in fighting it. You're just so sweet, so nice, and you even take your clothes off too. So he... Kinda starts to lie to himself, intentionally. It's almost kinda like having a girlfriend, isn't it? A... Long distance one. That doesn't know his name, that he probably doesn't know your real name, and has never seen his face, but... Still. It's kinda like that, isn't it? Maybe, just maybe, he can hold a little bit of hope in that dream every dude that ever loves a camgirl has... That somehow, a miracle happens and he has a real chance.
But it occurs to him that even if that's not what fate has in mind, he can make that reality come true.
Perhaps you're desensitized to creepy, given how so many of your followers are, so you make what will ultimately be a mistake. One month he asks for something... Odd. Says he wants to send you something that you should wear in your stream, that's the arrangement for this month. You set up a PO box. Figure it can't lead directly to you that way. It's a t-shirt, rather plain single color. It occurs to you that it's probably one of his, that he'll get off to seeing you wear, but something feels... Off about the whole exchange. Like there's some other intention you don't realize.
See, he's a bit tech savvy and has already well figured out where you live in general, he just wasn't sure which apartment it was, so he waits outside for you to pick up the package and follows you home. What a perfect, utterly unimaginable coincidence it turned out to be - here you could have been separated by oceans and countries and yet, it turned out you two lived in the very same town! Well, you knew that when he sent you his address for mailing, but you were smarter than to inform the guy who spends nearly his entirely salary on a camgirl (let's face it, no one who does that can be a mentally stable person) that you just so happen to live so close together. He realizes you avoided mentioning that realization, but he understands why.
Yes, he understands exactly why you wouldn't tell him, because you know that if he found that out, then he might do exactly what he knows he's going to do.
Also, you seem to be looking over your shoulder a lot more lately. He would know, he counts the number of times you do it every day for the past week. At least when you're outside, he can't see you as well when you're inside your place, even with the binoculars.
Your paranoia is what he thinks about as he goes to the store - walks there of course, so no cameras capture license plates. Wears a hoodie over his head. Self-checkout. Pay with cash, untraceable. Double-bags to make sure no one can see the red-flag combination of acetone, bleach and duct tape.
Yeah, he can't say he blames you, but you started being cautious a little bit too late.

You don't know how but somehow training with Yelena always ended up with you being pinned down on the training mat.
"Fuck" you cursed frustrated as she pinned you down for the 3d time in a row. Yelena laughed before she stood up and held out her hand for you to take.
"I let you win!" You said as she pulled you up.
"Sure you did" she joked.
"Seriously. I let you stomp on my dignity because I have a favor to ask!" you said back, a goofy grin playing on your lips as you passed her one of the water bottles.
"Now, that's gonna be interesting" she said as she sat on the floor, her back facing the wall. She gratefully took the bottle from your hand as she waited for you to talk.
"be my girlfriend" you said. The two of you were always comically stupid, so of course that you said that at the same moment she was taking a gulp from her bottle and of course she choked- and of course you laughed.
"I'm Sorry" the blonde glared at you.
"You're not" she responded in between coughing.
After a few moments, she finally stopped coughing and your laugh dyed out as well.
"You're right. I wasn't." You laughed again and she shoved you playfully.
"So, did you seriously just asked me to be your girlfriend?" She asked. Her lips forming her famous-troubled-maker cheeky grin.
"Well.. my fake girlfriend to be exact" you corrected yourself and she laughed again.
"You know you could've started with that, right?"
"And what's the fun in that?"
You smirked at her, knowing full well she found the random question amusing.
"So Why me, anyway..? - Wait, Let me guess.. kate and carol said no and you're scared of Wanda?"
"Okay first I'm not scared of Wanda, I'm scared of your sister.. there's a difference. And Second; my parents in town.. and I kinda told them I have a girlfriend.."
"Oh, now that's classic" Yelena, obviously, found the situation hilarious and you couldn't blame her since you found this dumb conversation amusing as well.
"Does it mean you'll do it?" You asked.
"Yeah why not" she responded you raised an eyebrow at her waiting for the catch. With Yelena, there's always a catch or at least a stupid comment.
"Yeah. I want to meet the poor souls who had to deal with your stupidity on a daily basis for the last 20 years..."
And here it is. You thought.
"I will punch you" you threaten her.
"Kinky" she smirked.
"Whatever stupid. I'll pick you up tomorrow at 8" you said as you got up from the spot next to her.
"Wear something nice"
_______________________________
The thing about Yelena is that you can never know what to expect. No matter how much time you spent with her, and it was a lot, she somehow still managed to surprise you.
This time was no different. but in her defense, this time the blame is definitely on you. You saw Yelena wear different kinds of outfits, from gear to fancy dresses, yet for some reason, you just didn't expect the other girl to wear a suit, and damn she looked good.
The gray suit fit her perfectly and her long blonde hair was down. She looked painfully beautiful and you couldn't help but stare- and she couldn't help but notice.
She wasn't doing better, on your defense. The blonde checked you out shamelessly before she sent you a smirk "How lucky I am" she joked and you rolled your eyes.
"Very lucky.. and so am i" Yelena smiled at you and held her hand out for you to take.
The ride was short and 15 minutes later you were standing outside the restaurant.
You could feel Yelena's gaze on you as you bit your lip nervously. "It will be alright" she assured you as she interviewed your hands together. "Thank you" you looked at her gratefully "Don't sweat it" she replayed with a soft smile.
That was the thing about Yelena, people always misguided her for someone she wasn't and it always made you mad. God, Of course, she was strong and fierce and brave and absolutely terrifying at times- but She was so much more than that. She was sweet and loyal and caring, and kinda funny (don't tell her) and absolutely beautiful- inside and out. One of your favorite things about her was her shy and sincere smile, which seemed reserved only for you.
"You ready?" She squeezed your hand. you took a small shaky breath before smiling back at her. "As ready as ill ever be"
The restaurant wasn't busy and it didn't take you long to catch your parents in a corner in the far back of the room. Both smiling wide as you walked towards them. Your mother's smile was contagious and you couldn't help but smile back. God, you missed them.
"We've missed you so much" your father said as he hugged you, your mother doing the same.
"I've missed you too" you confessed before tugging Yelena forwards them.
"I'm assuming that's the girlfriend," Your father said and you nodded. God, You were nervous and Yelena could sense it as she reached for your father's hand.
"Yelena." She introduced herself As they shook hands. Her grip firm and her smile dazzling. "I'm Y/D/N and this is my wife Y/M/N" he introduced himself as well.
"Glad to finally meet you. I heard a lot of great things about you" She said with a confident smile.
Both of you could tell the older man was impressed by the blonde and you couldn't help but smile.
"Were happy to finally meet you as well- although we can't say the same since pumpkin over here hasn't said much about you"
Yelena smirked at you as you blushed deeply. You knew she wouldn't let you forget about the nickname. Like, never. "Yeah, it's actually pretty new. It wasn't really planned neither" she explained.
Your mother, God bless her, wasn't the one to shook hands. The moment Yelena was free from your father's grip she found herself in the woman's warm embrace.
"Okay... I think we should start ordering" you said when Yelena was free again. Her cheeks were a bit flushed. The Russian Assassin wasn't used to be hugged and you couldn't help but smile.
The conversation was light, the wine was good and most importantly, your parents loved Yelena. which was understandable considering the fact she was annoyingly charming.
The Yelena that sat next to you with her hand on your lap was the best version the blonde could pull and you felt stupid for being worried in the first place. Yelena led the conversation with politeness, charm, and grace that you never knew she had in her- and your mom seemed impressed. Impressing your dad was even easier- Yelena didn't even have to try, all she had to do was show her intelligence and add some light humor.
After an hour of light and mostly general conversation, amazing food, many embarrassing stories of you on both sides, and 2 glasses of wine, your mom decided to take the conversation into her hands.
"So Yelena. Tell us about yourself."
Oh boy. Now that might be a problem.
"Well... I joined the avengers a few months ago" she explained "Not long after I met your daughter actually," she said simply.
"That's nice, and before that?" The older woman asked.
"I was a freelance.." Yelena gulped. Her hand squeezes yours
"As?" Your mom asked. You knew she didn't try to push Yelena into this corner, she wasn't this kind of person, but she definitely put the blonde on the spot.
"Well... I was involved with the black market and different criminal organizations. Jobs like getting undercover to dig information or well.. getting rid of powerful men in the criminal world.."
Your parent's eyes went wide. Your dad stared at her with wide eyes and your mom cleared her throat.
"I don't do it anymore" she continued. The blonde seemed as nervous as you felt.
"How did you ended up in this line of work? If I may ask?"
"Mom I don't think-" you started and Yelena smiled at you.
"No, It's fine babe.." she said before moving her attention back to your parents "Sometimes life gets you to places where you have to do bad things to survive."
Your dad's expression was unreadable and your mom seemed worried as she glanced at you.
"Yelena and I met when her sister recruited and pulled her out of this life. Yelena is a good person, despite everything she's been through. That's what I love the most about her." You said.
Yelena smiled softly and your parents exchanged looks.
"I'm a different person now" Yelena promised
"We believe you... but I can't help but worry for my daughter, as you can surely understand. What if the people you've been involved with. Try to get to you through Y\N"
Your father asked calmly. Both were taking it better than you expected and you couldn't blame them for being worried.
"Dad. I know it might come as shocking.. but I'm a big girl and I'm well aware of the risk of being involved with Yelena. I need you to trust me when I say that risks, some worse than the mafia, were a part of my life long before we met."
Yelena bit her lip to hold a smile and you interviewed your hands again.
"You're a doctor" your mom argued "I'm a field doctor. Of the avengers." you corrected her. "which means I'm more of capable of taking care of myself."
Your dad nodded softly to your mom before he smiled at you. "You're are.. Don't you?" He laughed. "Mu little pumpkin.." he sIgh and your mother smiled as well
"I just want you to understand that all we want for you is to be safe and happy. And even a blind man can see Yelena gives you that." He sent Yelena a soft smile. Yelena smiled back at him.
"Take care of my daughter.. she's a keeper" your father said firmly.
"She is. And trust me, I will" she promised.
_______________________________
"Well, that went well" you laughed when you got into the passenger seat. Yelena volunteered to drive which was a relief since you were exhausted.
After the two of you got into your seats the blonde sent you a small smile and took something out of her pocket.
"Is that? A bullet..?" You asked confused as you took the copper cylinder from her hand.
Yelena laughed softly.
"It is. It's the same bullet you stopped me from shooting at Natasha"  she confessed.
"I was in such a bad place back then and I blamed Natasha for it. If it weren't for you things would've been very different now" Yelena whispered
"Yeah, both of you were dead since you would've shot her, and Wanda would've probably hunted you down and kill you" you laughed and Yelena's shoulders relaxed.
"Probably" she said. "But with all seriousness... I was aiming a gun at my own sister and instead of pulling your own gun at me, you decided to shield her with your own body and dare me to shoot you as well. Who does that!?."
"You thought I was insane" you laughed.
"I thought you were stupid, putting your life at risk to save someone fucked up like us! someone like me.." She confessed and it downed on you.
No matter what happened or how many good things Yelena had done in her life, she couldn't let go of who she was trained to be. She still blamed herself for all the terrible things she did back at the red room and she constantly tried to get closure by doing the exact opposite- which was probably the reason she killed all these bad men in the first place. But then Natasha came back for her, and Yelena blamed her for leaving her behind to live with the things they did. She felt betrayed and broken, and Natasha's return only made it worse. Like she was just pitting her broken sister.
"All I know is that the Yelena I stood up to and the Natasha I saved that day were not the villains the red room tried to create." You whispered.
"You truly believed that? Even then?" Yelena was crying softly and you cupped her cheek.
"Especially then! I know you don't see it, but I'm here to remind you, you're a good person. Truly. You have a good heart- and I've seen it"
Yelena's cheeks were stained with tears, her eyes red and puffy and her famous crooked smile was plastered on her lips.
"And that's why you love me?"
She was a mess just like back then- when she was aiming a gun at her own sister as who she thought she was and who she truly is were fighting for dominance.
She was tragically beautiful and scared both then and now, yet somehow at the same time, she was more sure and confident than ever before. And I guess that what life is all about. Sometimes, things start to make sense only when everything else doesn't.
"Wasn't it obvious, stupid?" You said and stroked her cheek carefully as she melted into your touch.
Yelena smiled before kissing your hand softly, without breaking eye contact with you.
"You're the stupid one and you know it. Taking an assassin as your dinner date." She joked and you nodded and looked briefly at her lips.
"Well, stupid or not, I still manage to get a kiss at the end of it." Yelena laughed and got closer to you.
"Yeah you did" she whispered and kissed you.
And that was the thing about Yelena. She was good and kind and loyal. And a damn good kisser.

Making someone you don't know fall for you would have been easier. Making your best friend fall in love with you? A little bit more of a hassle But not unless they've been in love with you from the start.
Tumblr media
“I can make her fall in love with me in 7 days”
Haechan had said this whilst he was sitting on the sidewalk in front of the small convenience store beside an exasperated looking Jeno. “Hyuck, I’m pretty sure you can’t.”, “No I’m confident!” He continued, sipping his carbonated drink and cutting Jeno off as he spoke, “Look– I know her inside and out, I’m sure I know just the right tricks to make her fall for me!”
Jeno sighed slightly, knowing it was no use to force Haechan to listen to him. “You shouldn’t play with feelings like this…” He started, taking a sip of his own soda, “Can’t you just tell her you like her like a normal person–“, “you’re seriously no fun.” Jeno deadpanned at the statement, hand ready to reach for the brunets to pull his fingers back, “I just wanna see if she really likes me back for real!” he said, hands fidgeting with the rim of the soda can, “I don’t know, what if she doesn’t like me and rejects me when I ask her!”
“So the only logical way to fix that is by ‘making her fall in love with you in seven days’?!” Jeno exclaimed, nearly in tears at his own friend’s stupidity. Haechan grinned, “well if she doesn’t like me yet, she’ll definitely like me by the end of this.”
“I’m going to forget about him in the next 7 days.”
Renjun looked up in surprise at the girl’s statement, never having thought of the day she’d finally say it.
“You won’t.” He stated simply, continuing to sketch the tree outside the window of her room. She whined slightly, turning her attention to the boy in her room, “and what makes you say that?”
“You said that two years ago.”, “I was younger then!”, “Sure you were.”
She groaned, falling back on her bed with a thud, “I need to try… this one-sided shit is getting to me…”
Turning to look at the heap of sadness on the bed, Renjun sighed quietly. “I definitely won’t question you if you tell me you’re still in love with him by the end of it.”
“I’m only trying right?”
DAY 1
“How you doin’ gorgeous~”
To say she was shocked was an understatement. What?
“What do you want Hyuck.” She asked with a deadpan, staring down at the blank page of her notebook. Her plan was to study but it seemed as if the man duped as her best friend had other ideas. “I don’t want anything! Can’t I say nice things about you?” He said, taking the seat across from her.
The library was quiet, save for the few students chattering mutedly by the computers. The whole day Haechan had been fine– normal, so to speak… He sat next to her as usual during lunch–as they barely shared any classes this school year–and joked around for a bit, he stole the milk that she had painstakingly waited behind a line of first years to buy, giving her a presumably empty promise that he’d buy her another one… but then he came in the library and said that?
“You’ve never called me that before,” she scoffed, “and if you have, I’d remember.”
Of course she would. Somehow every compliment he had given her always stuck in her mind, even the few ingenuine ones that came out as jokes. The time he called her quick witted when she replied to one of his jokes, the time he said she was pretty good at math’s when she had explained to him how to find an axis… And of course there was the time he had exclaimed how she was prettier than the girl she had been talking shit about… not one of her best feats but... it was something.
So to have him call her gorgeous, even if it was just as a passing nickname… it was something that made her cheeks burn when she remembered his exact wording of the sentence.
“Well that doesn’t matter does it?” he said, leaning over the table to read through the same passage as she had been going through for the last hour, trying to fit anything and everything in her head. “Are you having trouble with anything?”
“Nothing you can help me with.” She scoffed, turning a page. “Aw, come on, don’t say that!” he laughed aloud, earning him an abundance of shushes from the few students scattered around the area. “I’m sure I, with my great expertise, can help you in some way with–“ he looked down at the chapter’s name, “intercontinental… exchange… what the hell is this–“
She laughed lightly at his confusion, “It’s economics,” she smiled, making his heart race with anticipation for some unknown reason, “you won’t get it.”
“Well maybe if you taught me, I’d understand.” He chuckled softly, sitting properly once more and sighing as he stared at the soft curve of her lips. She blushed lightly, realizing the direction of his eyes and looking back down to her book.
Barely the first day and she was already smitten once more with him… she wondered if she’d ever manage to escape from the trap that was Lee Donghyuck.
DAY 2
Closing her locker up, she nearly went into cardiac arrest as she saw none other than Haechan leaning on the locker right beside hers.
“Donghyuck! You almost gave me a heart attack!” she exclaimed, heart pounding at a thousand beats per second… or not– maybe she was just exaggerating…
He smirked, an image that had always and forever will be engraved into the crevices of her mind. “I hope that’s a good thing?”
She merely rolled her eyes at him, shoving her textbook into her backpack. “no.” she stated with a deadpan, turning to walk away. “Wait uppp!” he whined, following along behind the exasperated girl. If Jeno was tired of him, then she was something else entirely. How she managed to keep up with the outgoing boy was a mystery even to herself.
“Are you busy this weekend?” he asked as he caught up with her and took long steps to follow along with her short quick paces, “I was thinking maybe we could go to that new café that just opened– you know, the library one?”
She kept on walking, but her pace slowed significantly. A small tell to her interest in the subject. He smiled.
“You don’t even like reading much.” She said with a chuckle, “why’d you wanna go there?” She asked softly glancing up at him. “Well… you like reading… so–“ he shrugged slightly “–I thought you’d enjoy it…”
See this was the thing about him. Whenever she had made a commitment to stop thinking about him–leave her feelings for him in the dust–he’d always come back strong, making her feel as if he never wanted her to stop liking him. But what could she do? It seemed as if he never had the slightest interest in being anything other than friends.
She smiled softly, sighing as she opened her mouth to give out a small, “alright.” As her answer to his invitation.
“Great! It’s a date!”
The four words stopped her in her tracks between the horde of students walking to and from to get to their classes.
He only grinned, turning to face her as he walked backwards. “I’ll see you after class!”
She was frozen in place it seemed. Blinking as she watched the retreating back of the boy who had… just asked her out?
Again, confusion had begun to settle in. Was this ‘date’ meant to be a romantic date? Or just– one where they hung out as friends and had coffee?
In her confusion, she had forgotten to ask him about the exact day of which their little ‘date’ was supposed to be on… but she was sure he’d text her everything she needed to know about it, right down to the dress code.
Retracing her thoughts, maybe she was wrong… this might have been the first time he’d ever shown any interest in being anything more than friends… And to be quite honest, it may or may not have scared her…
What would she do if it turned out he really had feelings for her…? DAY 3
“I thought you said you were going to stop liking him.”
She had found Renjun in the art room as per usual, painting away at whatever his heart had decided to explore. The golden particles drifted in from the late afternoon sun as she had just finished up her own after school activity. “I want to… But he’s making it so hard!” she exclaimed, sitting on a table to the side at the back of the room.
Renjun was somehow her only sane friend, and even so, he preferred to stay out of her messy love life with the undeniably annoying Haechan. Not to mention that he couldn’t even talk to Haechan without bursting a nerve. “I don’t understand how you don’t see how annoying the boy is.” He said nonchalantly as he continued to mix and match an array of greens to the trees he had started on. “Just thinking of that should be enough to stir you away from him.”
Sighing in aggravation to her situation, she sticked out her tongue at the back of his head. “I saw that.” He stated, barely even looking up from his canvas. “’course you did…” she grumbled lowly, pouting and looking out of the window.
“That’s just the thing…” she started, her tone soft and her eyes unfocused, “he’s not… annoying…”
Renjun scoffed aloud, nearly keeling over in laughter. “Are you sure about that?” He said in between his dying giggles, turning to finally look at the girl who was now looking at him with an unamused look. “Shut up– you know what I mean!” she cried out in annoyance. He made a face, turning back to his painting and continuing to work on the piece. “Really, when you get to know him– he’s more than that!” she tilted her head back to rest on the cool wall of the classroom.
“Today he actually got me the milk I wanted…” she muttered softly, “It’s not much of course… but…”
“You said the other day that you had to wait a long time to get the milk cause of those underclassmen, so– y’know– I got it for you.”
“But it’s enough for you to stay deeply in love with him isn’t it.” Renjun sighed, knowing that she would start yelling as soon as the thought sunk in her head.
To his surprise, she didn’t. She simply sat in thought in the back of the class, watching as Renjun shrugged and continued with his painting. She mulled it over, what he said, and came to the personal conclusion that he in fact was right. It was no use in fighting the feeling. She really did care for him… a little afraid to say love– but she cared for him immensely nonetheless.
She got off the table and walked towards where Renjun sat with his canvas and patted his shoulder lightly.
“Thanks Renjunnie.”
“I told you not to call me that… makes me sound like a child...” He murmured, rolling his eyes before continuing, “what are you even thanking me for anyways? I didn’t do anything. The feelings were there the whole time.”
Her lips turned up slightly, and she hummed softly before walking towards the door.
“You did more than you think.” She said, turning to look at him once more as she opened the door. He merely looked at her in puzzlement, not understanding just how he had helped her in her quest of love. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow!”
“Yeah… see you…” he muttered quietly, his eyebrows still furrowed in confusion, before shaking his head as the door fell shut.
“Why are all my friends so weird…”
DAY 4
The living room of her house was spacious.
Very much so that she wondered why it felt as if she couldn’t even get a distance away from the clingy boy.
Haechan had come over to help her with some of her class work she was struggling with, and truly, she couldn’t thank him enough for the help… but why did he have to sit so close to her?
He had been reading a passage out to her from the book, shoulders brushing ever so slightly against one another, causing her cheeks to flare with heat. Every single move he made seemed to make her tense up all the more.
She was never like this! Each time they had studied together, even as much as she liked him, it never caused her to blush or fidget as much as she was doing now.
Maybe it was the effect of realizing that he might like her after all… The last three days were such an improvement in that area of their relationship that it made her wonder if he actually had liked her all along and just decided to showcase it all now.
“And that’s why the tectonic pressure in this area is much larger than here.” He explained– arm stretching slightly over her to point at an image on the book. For some unknown reason, she had held her breath ever so slightly as to maybe become stone in the next few seconds. He turned to look at her– their faces not too far from one another, and it was like time had stopped right in that moment, just to make her realize how much trouble she was in by falling for this forsaken boy. She could feel her face redden to the deep color of the roses on the front porch of her house, and suddenly, all she wanted to do was melt into a puddle right there and then.
Oddly enough, he seemed to be reactionless. It was as if the proximity of their faces had absolutely no effect on his own heart, bringing up the question in her mind once more whether he actually held any feelings for her other than the simple platonic ones.
“You weren’t paying attention were you?”
Her eyebrows raised to her hairline, quite literally, at the accusing statement he had thrown upon her. “I– Hey! I was listening!”
Suddenly every single feeling of embarrassment left her body as she pushed him playfully, as a means to get away from him as well. He yelped aloud, his back hitting the couch. “You weren’t!” he called out, a smile beginning to grow on the edges of his lips, “I can tell when you’re listening and when you’re not! And here, you were clearly not!”
She laughed loudly, throwing her head back as she did so. It had been ages since she had laughed so freely, and Haechan soaked up every single moment of it. His smile softened as he watched she tips of her eyes crinkle up and turn into crescents– the sound of her laughter as melodious as his own favorite song. In the moment, he wished so dearly he could just reach over and kiss her face all over, his heard filling up with affection he wished to shower her with.
Her laughter died down and she simply turned to look at him with a look in her eyes that he couldn’t quite place. “I really haven’t laughed that much in a while…” she said softly, watching as he nodded in listening. “I can tell.”
She giggled lightly once more. “Should we go back to studying?” she asked, a teasing smile gracing her features, to which he merely scoffed and laughed at.
“Only if you’ll listen properly this time.”
Another 3 days to go. If he was able to successfully make her fall for him, he’d be able to do all he wanted and more. DAY 5
So maybe accepting a walk home from the person you’re trying to forget about isn’t the best strategy to go with… but– in defense, Haechan had been more the one to tag along home, rather than ask her if she wanted anyone to walk her.
She had gotten used to it… but with the antics of the past week and the upcoming date on the Sunday (Yes he had given her all the information the night before. Yes he sent her every available picture there was of the place. Yes he was very excited and honestly, so was she.), who wouldn’t?
As Saturday was a day where she and the rest of the ’00 liners’–as they all preferred to call themselves (though their whole school year was the ’00 line’ so honestly that nickname was rather stupid)–usually had a game night at either Jeno or Jaemin’s house, both she and Haechan had settled on going to the cute little library-esque café on the Sunday.
The whole way home, Haechan couldn’t help but stare softly as she recounted the events of the day. Again, being in different classes had its perks, as there was always something new to tell each other about.
Every step he took felt heavier. He knew they both were getting closer to her house– every time he saw a bench on the side of the street his instinct would tell him to sit down with her and just talk for longer, wanting to keep all her minutes for himself selfishly.
“So that’s why she was kicked out of the class today– I honestly can’t believe she had the nerve to pull that off!” laughing slightly, she turned to face Haechan, “I’m sure you’d do some stupid shit like that too.”
Haechan snapped out of his short daze if not to cry out words of denial, causing her to laugh even louder at his insistence that he would not blend and eat drink his homework just to get extra time on a project.
“After all, I’m not stupid– I don’t need extra project time since I’m just that smart!” He huffed, glancing to the girl beside him to see if he had gauged a reaction out of her. To his delight, she laughed once more, letting him relish in her melodic laughter. “you’re really full of yourself you know?”
This erupted another fit of laughter and denial to spurt from the two, pitter patting home for the day. “I’m not full of myself! I’m just confident!”, “same difference, Hyuck.” She said between breaths as her laughter finally died down.
He merely huffed and pouted– turning to the side and glancing at her a few times to gain her remorse for her mean words ; it clearly didn’t work as all she did was giggle softly and shook her head.
The brush of the back of their hands made his heart pound faster. He glanced down to look and there it was, the soft hand he wanted to hold in his so much. He looked back up in a panic– noticing that they were getting closer to her house.
Unknown to him, her heart was just as heavy at the thought of having to part with him for the day. Though she knew tomorrow would be another day that would definitely be spent with him, it made her sorrowful to think of the fact that they’d have to be apart for the night. Cheesy as it may seem.
As they stood in front of the pathway up to her front door, he debated internally on whether or not he should do what he wanted to do or not, his head spinning at the thought of her maybe thinking he was an idiot for what he was about to do. She smiled up at him, a silent goodbye being exchanged between them, before turning around to walk up the pavement to her house.
“(Y/N)!”
Her feet stopped, and in turn, so did her heart. In a good way, of course, but it stopped nonetheless. She stayed silent for a moment before turning to face the brunet once more. “Yeah?” she asked quietly, a soft smile present on her features.
His mouth dried up. He had nothing to say– stupid! Why did he stop her like that then?
“I– Uh…” he faltered in his words; eyes still stuck on her face. Lips, to be specific.
She tilted her head slightly in question, wondering what was going through that enigma of a mind everyone called Haechan. “Hyuck?”
He smiled and shook his head, opting to grin at her like the idiot in love he was. “Until we meet again tomorrow~” he said in a mock posh accent which made her giggle lightly behind her hand. She merely shook her head and turned once more, walking up to her front door and opening it slowly, turning to give him one last smile before she closed the door.
There he stood like a lovestruck fool in the middle of her driveway as he watched her back turn as she finally walked into the house.
“I wish I had the courage to give you that hug…” DAY 6
Jeno’s house was the choice of the week, Haechan and Jaemin having pestered him into agreement over where they’d all be bundling into for the afternoon.
“I really don’t see why it should have to be my house!” Jeno whined as he stepped into the living room with snacks in hand, “It was already my house last week! It should be nana’s this week…” he trailed off, grumbling as he stepped over the legs of a serious Haechan and sat between the sole girl in their group and Jaemin on the floor. Jaemin laughed aloud, “you have the comfiest sofa!” he hollered out, earning him a kick from Renjun, who’s legs he was sitting in between.
“You’re not even sitting on the sofa,” Renjun retaliated for Jeno, cutting him some slack, “you’re leaning on my legs.”
“Well they sure are comfy if that’s what you’re implying.” Jaemin said, pressing at the buttons erratically as he flurried to beat Haechan at what seemed to be a simple game of mario kart. Hey, anything to beat Haechan right?
“DAMN!” Haechan yelled, causing the girl seated beside him to jump slightly in her seat. Jaemin only laughed, leaning his head up to look at an unimpressed Renjun.
“Hyuck give me the controller, I’m gonna beat Jaemin.” Renjun said with some form of courage to beat the one and only Nana. “Sure you are,” he said, standing up and handing the controller over to Renjun. “Anymore soda anyone?” he asked, stepping to the side to head over to the kitchen. “I’ll have a soda!”, “alrighty! One soda coming right up!” Haechan called out, turning right out to the kitchen.
“I’m gonna run out of sodas at the rate you’re drinking them…” Jeno murmured to her softly, a giggle erupting out of her lips, “fine then– I’ll have a cup of tea instead, ‘s that better?” she asked softly, smiling at the black-haired boy beside her. Jeno smiled back, his eyes disappearing behind his perfect crescents, “I’ll go get you some then.” He said, standing up from his seat to get her some tea.
Walking into the kitchen, he tutted lightly as he found Haechan going through his fridge. “And what if my mom was the one who had walked in?” Jeno stated with a deadpan, rolling his eyes at the idiotic grin his friend gave him. “First off– she’s not home. Second off– your mom loves me!” Haechan exclaimed, closing the fridge behind him after finding nothing of his interest. He picked up the sodas on the counter– before Jeno stopped him. “She changed her mind on the sodas, said she’d have tea instead.” He explained, moving to the cabinets to take out some tea to brew for her, to which Haechan simply hummed in understanding before cracking one of the soda cans open and sipping it.
“So…” Jeno started, turning to face him as he leaned on the counter behind him, “how’s the love quest?” He queried, wondering about his best friends own pursuit of love. “Is she ‘in love’ with you yet?”
Haechan shrugged slightly, “I sure hope she is… if not then I’m not sure what I’m gonna do tomorrow…”
“Why… What’s tomorrow?” Jeno questioned again, tilting his head in confusion. In Haechan’s mind… he looked rather like a lost puppy…
“Date.” The only word that came out of Haechan’s mouth as he stared with a smirk on his face to the boy standing opposite him.
Jeno’s eyes widened significantly, “Date? You mean you asked her out successfully?”
Haechan grinned, “Of course I did!”, he boasted smugly, “only a fool wouldn’t be able to make her fall in love! Especially with the shitty dudes she’s liked before.”
Jeno looked up in glee, “then– after that– my days of hell are over! I won’t have to listen to your lamenting again!” He whined when Jeno exclaimed that, shaking his head, “I wasn’t lamenting, you were the one who complained about my topic of conversation–“ he paused, rolling his eyes at the grinning puppy-like boy.
“Alright fine maybe I was,” he agreed begrudgingly, “But hey! I managed to make her fall in love with me AND score a date in 7 days! My lamenting wasn’t for nothing after all!”
Their shared laughter was cut short by the sound of the slamming of the front door and the cries of both Renjun and Jaemin. Haechan looked up worriedly at Jeno, who in turn gestured him to the kitchen exit.
“what’s wrong?” Haechan asked once he reached by the front door beside the other two boys. “You!” Renjun seethed, turning to glare at the brunet, “She was already trying to forget about you and now you play with her feelings like this!”
Furrowing his eyebrows in confusion, Haechan scoffed, “I never played her like shit! I was always honest!”, “Then tell me what this stupid 7 day bet is all about!” Renjun yelled in his face, angry for his best friend who had muffled out in tears the short reason she was leaving so early.
“Bet?” he questioned, truly confused as to the entirety of the situation, “what fucking bet?”
Renjun rolled his eyes, “Don’t play stupid Donghyuck. You were talking to Jeno about some 7 day bet to get her to like you or something–”, “wait, this is all wrong!” Jeno exclaimed, “We never made a bet! Hyuck wanted to confess to her at the end of the week, and that’s why the whole week he had been making proper advances to her…”
The room stilled as the clarity of the situation which was misunderstood settled into their heads.
“I need to talk to (Y/N).” DAY 7
Checking her phone, she grumbled slightly, rereading the message that Haechan had sent to her the evening prior, or rather, spammed her endlessly.
hyuck ♡ : please come tomorrow.
hyuck ♡ : i really really have to talk to you about this :((
hyuck ♡ : please please please
hyuck ♡ : I don’t know what I’ll do if you don’t come :(((
hyuck ♡ : please? At least consider it?
Sighing quietly as she scrolled through the abundance of messages of theirs from previous sleepless nights, she jumped when she heard the call of the voice she had cried herself to sleep over the night before. Oh his treacherous voice, hurting her feelings like that with the words that came out of his wretched mouth yesterday.
“(Y/N)!” he said, jogging up to her with a grin spread on his face, almost as if yesterday had been a dream and she had simply hallucinated the entire event. But she knew better than to believe him that fast.
Giving him a curt nod, she spoke up before anything could leave his mouth– “Tell me, Donghyuck, what happened yesterday?” she started, face hard with the cut still deep in her heart. His smile faltered, realizing just how much his words had hurt her feelings the day before.
“Do you take my feelings as a joke?” she asked again, looking to her feet in fear of her eyes betraying her and leaving tear stains across her cheeks, “because if you do then i–“
“No!” he cut, knowing that if he let this go on for longer it would only hurt her more, “No, I’d never!”
She was quiet, listening to the sound of his ragged breathing, almost as if the quietness would let her hear the sound of his heartbeat.
“Then what… what…”
He sighed softly, “I was… scared.”
Looking up, she was met with the troubled face of the person she once thought to be the largest of mysteries. “I didn’t want to be faced with rejection, I don’t know what I’d do if I ever lost you, as a friend or as…” he cleared his throat slightly, turning to the side, “as something more.”
The tension was thick, the street around them continuing on its route of life whilst they both stood in their own quiet bubble. Her eyes softened at his statement, the pieces of the puzzle which was Haechan starting to become clearer by every word.
“And you thought the most logical way to go, was to ‘make me fall in love with you in seven days’? come on Hyuck we’re not in some stupid romance movie–“, Haechan’s whine cut her voice short, “You sound just like Jeno now!” he cried, making her laugh softly, before stepping forward to take his hand in hers.
He looked down at their intertwined hands and looked right back up at her questioningly. “what…”
“If you liked me, you really should have just said so…” she muttered softly, shaking her head with a slight giggle, “If you did, it definitely would have saved us 7 days.”
He grinned widely, “so this… makes us boyfriend and girlfriend now, right?” he asked, grin turning into a teasing smirk on his face, making the girl before him scoff and laugh.
“We’ll see in 7 days.”

Close the Gap
Pairings: Jean Kirstein x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 6.8k
Warnings: None just fluff
Tumblr media
Long distances relationships were always something many people tended to avoid.
The idea of a long distance relationship made (Y/N) feel queasy, her stomach would always churn at the idea of dating somebody who was miles away from her. She heard the many scary stories from her friends about these people not being who they said they were, or the horror stories of girls going missing after meeting with these people.
Not to mention she always binged watched MTV'S Catfish the TV Show at 3 A.M. watching how people would get catfished. The show was another reason why she tended to avoid dating anyone who was pretty far away. Her worst fear was to find that the person she trusted wasn't who they said they were.
That all changed seven months ago when she met him.
More specifically, Jean Kirstein.
(Y/N) was feeling pretty lonely, she was desperate for a relationship at the time and her best friend Sasha told her about some dating apps she could use. She wasn't exactly down to set her up with one of her friends. (Y/N) took the offer on the dating app and set up a profile.
She met a few decent guys, but they always ended up sending the usual "send me some pics" or "u down to hook up?" texts. Most of the guys on the apps were idiots who were looking just for a quick fuck or something short term, which isn't something (Y/N) wanted.
She complained to Sasha about it and even considered just deleting the apps, but she told her to just give it one more shot.
She was glad she did.
(Y/N) was swiping through the different guys on the app. Some caught her eye or some made her face scrunch with disgust.
Her swiping stopped when her eyes landed on him. She was instantly attracted to him, his sharp jawline, shaggy light brown hair which was a bit long, his golden brown eyes, toned chest and that goddamn smile. He had a sly smile that made her feel butterflies.
After she looked at his profile she was hooked. He seemed like a really sweet guy based on his description. He knew how to cook, draw, he played sports, worked out, etc. He also seemed really sweet as well.
She was tempted to text him first, but she decided not to. The few times she did message a guy first it ended with the guy being dry, or sending some gross messages complimenting her body rather than her face.
She totally forgot that day that she added him until she got the notification.
Jean: hey! i saw your profile and let me just say you are gorgeous ❤
From that day forward the two talked every night, they spent many nights texting until they both felt tired, exchanging social media as well. She learned a lot about him, Jean was a fitness major at his university and he wanted to be a personal trainer. They connected on a lot of things, they had a lot of the same likes and dislikes which made the conversations they had even greater.
She told Jean about the many shitty experiences she had with guys and how she was very hesitant to even give him a chance. Jean shared a lot of the same stories, he had gotten cheated on about a year prior before getting the app. (Y/N) felt bad for him, why cheat on a nice guy like Jean?
Facetiming him was definitely one of her favorite things to do, she told him about how freaked out she was about trying online dating due to how easy it was to fake an online personality. Jean assured her that was not the case and he wasn't a fake person at all.
Seeing his face on facetime made her heart swell, he was 10x more attractive on facetime than his photos. He had this amazing smile that made her feel weak, and whenever he laughed she found herself having butterflies. Jean thought the same about (Y/N), he thought she was absolutely gorgeous and he wanted to see her face a lot more.
He always threw a flirt her way whenever he could, Jean was smooth like that. He told her if she was ever unsure of an outfit that she was to send him a picture, and when she did, he was absolutely speechless. Sending the usual heart eyes and telling her how beautiful she was. His words always made her smile.
While things were perfect for them, there was one small issue.
They both lived very far from each other.
Opposite coasts to be exact.
Jean lived on the East coast while (Y/N) lived on the west. They lived miles away from each other, and although it wasn't a huge bother, it always made her feel lonely.
Jean felt the same way, he felt lonely being so far away from her. Parts of him wished he lived closer so he could just drive and see her, but with how far it is, he knew it would probably be a very long drive and he just didn't have the time for that. Nor did (Y/N).
They spent many nights talking about dates they'd go on, things they'd do, etc. Jean told her how he would so make a meal for her and he'd take her to meet his mom. All those things sounded so nice, she wanted it to happen so bad.
But they just lived too far from one another.
Plus they both had very busy schedules, both were too caught up with assignments and their own personal lives that flying out wouldn't be exactly a good idea.
It was unfortunate, but that was the reality of the situation.
Even with all of that, they still held onto one another. For some reason, Jean didn't want to let her slip by. For the first time, she made him genuinely happy. (Y/N) felt the same way towards Jean, she always found herself being excited to see his name pop up in her phone or when he asked to facetime. There was just something about this boy she didn't want to let go of. He was the only guy who saw her for who she was, and not just her body.
Neither of them wanted to let this opportunity slip by.
-
Here they were, seven months later. They still kept up with each other every day, though having not met yet, the feelings they both had never changed.
They weren't dating, but they only talked to each other. Neither had wandering eyes.
It was a usual night for the two of them, (Y/N) and Jean were on facetime while she did homework and Jean sat playing video games. She didn't mind the gaming, it was something he liked to do so why dislike it?
She was copying notes when her eyes averted upwards towards her phone screen which was propped up. Jean was shirtless sitting in his chair, he had his headset on his head with one of the earmuffs behind his ear. He was focused on the game, his brows pinching together a few times as he played.
A giggle escaped her lips, making Jean look down at his phone with a smile.
"What are you giggling about?" he asked, bringing his face close to the camera.
She smiled. "Oh nothin' you just look really cute playing your game," she replied and set her pen down on the desk.
He licked his lips and leaned back against his chair, eyeing the screen. "I'd say you look pretty damn fine doing homework," he replied, raising his brows.
Heat rushed to her cheeks, rolling her eyes in the process. "Ugh shush! I look like a total mess," she said and looked away from the screen.
Jean chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair. "Nah.. you look like the girl who's gonna have my last name," he replied, smirking.
Her jaw dropped from his comment, a smile grew onto her lips as her cheeks felt hot. He was smooth like that.
"You are quite smooth," she said, crossing her arms over her chest.
Another chuckle escaped his throat. "Yeah I'm smooth.. only for you though," he said, winking at the camera.
"You're adorable.. I wish you were here so I could squeeze your cheeks," she said and played with her pen.
Jean nodded. "I wish I was there with you too.." he said, looking down at the ground. "I'd like my cheeks squeezed but I'd want to squeeze yours.. if you know what I mean," he added.
She started laughing a bit. "Ugh Jean I never get tired of you," she replied, looking at her phone screen. "Will you ever be here?" she asked.
Jean fell silent and leaned back against the chair. A sigh escaping his lips. "I have no idea (Y/N).. my schedule has been busy lately, plus I don't really have the funds to fly out anytime soon." he replied, his voice filled with disappointment.
She felt a slight tug at her heart, she knew they probably wouldn't meet for a long time. Many of her friends told her that Jean wasn't worth her time at all and that she needed someone who could come see her. Her friends also said it's not worth it at all and that he'd probably end up hooking up with some girl, and totally forgetting about her. That's something she absolutely didn't want to think about.
"(Y/N)? You alright?" Jean asked, breaking her out of her thoughts.
She shook her head, blinking a few times. "Y-Yeah! Sorry, I zoned out.." she replied and smiled a bit.
He put his controller on his desk, he stared at the screen for a few moments. "You know (Y/N) I really want to meet you, trust me I do. I know how much it bothers you that we can't at the moment, but I promise you, we will meet some day." he said with a serious expression.
She felt her heart swell at his words, Jean always knew what to say to make her feel like a princess. Jean always said from day one that they would meet, it was a promise he had yet to fulfill, but he told her to never worry and that he'll make it happen. She just has to believe him.
"I trust your words Jean," she said, smiling a bit.
A grin grew onto his face. "Ugh.. this is why I want to meet you so bad. I wanna see that pretty smile in person," he said and leaned against his desk.
Her cheeks felt hot from his words. "You're too sweet," she replied, rolling her eyes playfully.
Jean chuckled. "Sweet enough for you,"
Suddenly, (Y/N) heard her bedroom door fly open.
"Hey (Y/N)!- Oh crap.. did I interrupt something?"
Her head snapped back to see her best friend Sasha standing in the doorway.
"Oh not at all Sash, I was just talking to Jean." (Y/N) replied, looking back at the camera.
Sasha grinned widely, she knew who he was ever since they started talking. Jean was cool with her, he felt like first impressions with friends are always important.
"Hey Jean!" Sasha yelled, coming down to her phone. "Ooo.. (Y/N) he's shirtless for you," she teased, elbowing her side.
Her jaw dropped as her cheeks grew hot again. "Can you not! Why are you even here anyway?" she asked, looking up at her friend.
"Uh duh, I'm here to discuss Valentine's Day plans! You know.. Connie and stuff," she replied in a whisper.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes playfully. "Ugh fine! Hey Jean, is it cool if I call you back later? Sash here needs boy advice," she asked, grabbing her phone.
Jean smiled. "Yeah totally.. text me okay? Be safe." he replied.
She felt a wide smile grow onto her cheeks. "I most definitely will!" she said, hanging up the call.
Sasha leaned against the wall with a giant smirk on her face. (Y/N) looked up, her head nodding as she was confused as to why she was acting like that.
"What?" she asked, furrowing her brows.
A giggle escaped Sasha's lips. "Oh nothing! Ugh (Y/N)! When are you finally going to meet Jean? Have you guys even made it official yet?" she asked.
She looked down. "No.. we haven't made it official. We aren't dating Sasha, we're just talking and stuff." she replied, shrugging her shoulders.
Sasha crossed her arms over her chest. "Maybe it's time you do it! You've been talking for months, and I feel like it's a good time. Especially with Valentine's Day and all," she said.
(Y/N) wasn't sure if what Sasha was saying was a good idea. How the hell would she even ask out Jean? Over a facetime call? That sounded boring. It also sounded too cliche and not special at all.
"I would Sash but asking him out over a phone just sounds so.. middle school," she replied and stood up. "It's not like I can fly out and ask him out or whatever," she added.
A grin was displayed onto Sasha's face. "I guess you're right," she said and shrugged her shoulders.
"Now come on… let's go discuss things for Connie," (Y/N) said, pushing past her.
Sasha grinned again, following her friend.
-
(Y/N) spent most of the week helping Sasha with her Valentine's Day gift for Connie. Sasha had some odd ideas, but eventually they came to an agreement on a decent idea.
For some reason, things felt off with Jean.
The past few days she noticed a change in his behavior, he became a little less interested in their conversations and his replies were a bit dry. Of course she blamed it on him maybe being tired from classes or working out, but she wasn't exactly sure if that was the reason. She questioned it a few times, but Jean usually replied with a 'wym?'.
"(Y/N)!? Hello? Come on help me finish this,"
Sasha's voice broke her out of the thoughts she was having. "Sorry! What's up?" she asked, blinking a bit.
Sasha put the bag of snacks down. "Are you sure you're alright? You've been acting weird all day," she said and crossed her arms.
(Y/N) sighed. "Yes I'm fine Sasha," she replied and leaned back in her chair.
She nodded her head and sat back down in front of her. "Alright.. can you just organize this for me?" she asked, tossing the bag towards her.
(Y/N) grabbed the stuff and began to sort through the items Sasha bought Connie. She wasn't exactly alright, she was feeling lonely the past few days. She saw all of her friends getting ready for Valentine's Day with their significant others, while she didn't have anybody. The pink and red boxes of chocolates, the teddy bears, roses, everything! It made her feel lonely and with Jean's behavior… it didn't exactly make it better.
She looked at her phone which displayed no messages from Jean. For some reason he hasn't been messaging her a lot lately.
2:31 P.M.<- (Y/N): hey :))
4:23 P.M.<- (Y/N): i hope your day is going well! ♡
She sighed and went back to the gift for Connie.
"What are you doing for Valentine's Day, (Y/N)?" Sasha asked and looked up at her.
She shrugged her shoulders. "Probably just watching Netflix movies," she replied with disappointment in her voice.
She nodded her head. "What!? No! You're not gonna do that on my watch. Why don't you come hangout with Connie and I?" she asked.
A laugh escaped her lips. "Yeah I so wanna do that. Watching you two make out and eat is so much fun," she replied in a teasing voice.
Sasha blushed. "Oh shut up! Come on.. I know you won't have anyone to hang with," she said and pouted a bit.
She rolled her eyes playfully. "I can always call up Eren or something," she said and laughed a bit.
Sasha hit her arm. "No! You're hanging with me and that's final! Plus why would you wanna hangout with Eren? He'd probably take you to some party," she said.
"Yeah you're probably right," (Y/N) replied, chewing her lip.
She threw her a smile. "Exactly!" she said and went to go look at her phone.
(Y/N) looked on her own phone as she felt disappointed seeing no messages from Jean. She hated double texting him, she felt like she was a bother and that she was annoying him. Maybe he just didn't have his phone on him.
A sudden squeal came from Sasha, which made (Y/N) look up in surprise.
"Uh.. are you okay?" she asked and blinked a bit.
Sasha looked at her, composing herself. "Oh- u-um! Yeah totally, Connie was just telling me something. That's all," she replied and looked down at her phone.
She rolled her eyes playfully. "Ugh Connie.." she said, shaking her head.
-
The next two days were kind of difficult for (Y/N). Jean had totally changed his behavior, he was more dry, took longer to respond, and even on their facetime call he didn't seem very interested. If she did want to facetime, he would claim he was busy or he didn't exactly seem to pay attention.
Her mind raced with different thoughts about the situation. What if Jean was getting tired of her? What if this was the situation all of her friends told her about? How guys who live far end up leaving you for someone who lives near them. It hurt to think about.
"I don't know his behavior just changed!"
She was currently ranting to Sasha who came over for a bit. "He's been dry? I mean.. Connie can be dry," she replied, playing with her pillow.
"No like overly dry, Jean is never dry! He always keeps the conversation going, he doesn't even send me good morning texts anymore either!" she said and sat up.
Sasha nodded as she listened to her words. "Have you tried asking at all?" she asked.
(Y/N) sighed. "I did on facetime and he sort of dodged the question," she replied.
"I dunno (Y/N).. maybe just see what happens? Maybe he's got some personal stuff going on" Sasha said.
(Y/N) shrugged. "Couldn't say.."
A sudden ping from Sasha's phone made her ears chirp, she reached over and looked at her phone. She started jumping around excitedly.
"What? What happened?" (Y/N) asked, furrowing her brows.
Sasha looked at her. "I gotta go! Connie texted me about something.. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" she said, shoving her phone in her pocket.
She felt confused as to why Sasha was leaving. "Uh.. yeah, okay. See you later," she replied and watched as Sasha exited her room and out the front door.
She flopped onto her bed, staring up at the ceiling as her mind clouded with thoughts about Jean. Her mind was playing scenarios she didn't want to see, Jean finding someone else would absolutely crush her. In a way, it would be for the best, considering they haven't even met, but she was in too deep with feelings. She didn't want anybody else.
She grabbed her phone, she opened their messages and scrolled to see if there was anything she could have said to make him upset. Jean was always one to communicate with her, he'd always tell her if he was having a bad day or someone pissed him off. Why wasn't he doing that now? Her eyes scanned over the most recent message she sent.
7:21 P.M.<- (Y/N): did you go working out? i bet you're getting those gains! <3 lol.
Another sigh escaped her lips reading the words 'delivered'. What was going with him?
-
It was Valentine's Day.
(Y/N) wasn't exactly in the best mood today, that feeling of loneliness lingered in her mind as she scrolled through different couples getting gifts and going on special dates. All the things she yearned for.
She sent Jean a message that morning and of course, he didn't respond. He read her messages from the previous night, but he never sent a genuine response. It made her heart feel heavy, maybe this was it. Maybe Jean just got tired of waiting around for her and found someone better.
She shoved her phone into her pocket as she knocked on the door of Sasha's apartment. She looked around as many people exited their apartments.
"Hey! You made it! We have all kinds of snacks!" Sasha yelled, opening the door so she could come inside.
(Y/N) smiled and stepped in. The aroma of food filled her nose. "Wow Sasha.. this smells great," she said, taking off her shoes.
Connie came in from the living room holding a plate. "Hey (Y/N)! Good to see you," he said and waved at her.
She smiled as she plopped down at the kitchen table, she grabbed a few pieces of candy and tossed them into her mouth. She tried to forget the upsetting thoughts for the night.
"You want something to eat?" Sasha asked as she came over with a plate of food.
(Y/N) shook her head. "I'm fine.. thank you Sasha," she replied, looking down at the table.
Connie came over and set a cup of soda in front of her. "Have something to drink at least," he said and sat next to Sasha.
She swirled around the soda that bubbled towards the top. "Thanks.." she replied and took a sip of the lemon flavored soda.
The two started eating and (Y/N) sat there looking at her phone, she silently hoped that Jean would message her back. It had been a few hours since she sent her last message, she felt disappointment going through her veins. She guessed that Jean was ghosting her, it hurt a ton, but there wasn't much she could do.
"(Y/N)! Connie loved the gift!" Sasha said and wiped her mouth with the napkin.
She nodded and gave a small smile. "Oh that's cool! I'm glad you liked it," she replied and looked towards Connie.
He smiled. "Yeah it was dope! It had all my favorite snacks," he said, looking at Sasha with a grin.
(Y/N) felt the heaviness in her heart, she wished someone would look at her the way Connie looked at Sasha.
"Hey what about that Jean guy you were talking to? I meant to ask," Connie asked and looked at her.
She laughed a bit. "Uh.. well I don't know what's going on with that. He's been kind of distant lately so I guess he's getting tired of me. It's understandable I guess.." she replied, looking down at the floor.
They could hear the sorrow in her voice. "I'm sorry (Y/N).. you'll find someone, I know you will." Sasha said.
She shrugged and leaned back in her chair. "I don't know guys.. I feel like after this I just wanna focus on me," she said, taking out her phone.
Connie looked over at her. "Don't say that now.. come on, have some hope." he said and gave a playful smile.
She rolled her eyes playfully. "I'll try," she replied.
Sasha and Connie finished up their food and cleaned the dishes, (Y/N) sat on the couch as the movie played on the tv. It was some romantic movie which she didn't even bother to pay attention to, she didn't exactly want to watch one at the moment.
Sasha appeared in the living room, she had her phone in her hand. "Hey whatcha doing?" she asked, leaning over to look at her phone.
"Oh nothing, just scrolling through Instagram," (Y/N) replied and clicked her phone off.
A ping went off as Sasha got a notification, she looked at her phone as a grin displayed on her features making (Y/N) curious.
"Did Connie send you nudes in the bathroom or something?" she asked and began to laugh.
A blush crept onto Sasha's cheeks. "What!? Absolutely not! You're so gross (Y/N)!" she yelled, hitting her arm. "Let's play a game, I'm bored." she added and stood up.
(Y/N) nodded. "A game? Sasha I'm not twelve.." she said and leaned against the couch.
Sasha came in with what seemed to be a blindfold. "Come on! It's fun okay? You just have to feel something and guess what it is," she said, crossing her arms.
"A blindfold? Jeez Sash.. didn't know you and Connie were into blindfolds," she said, starting to laugh.
Sasha hit her arm playfully. "Shut up! No I'm not into blindfolds.. you're gross! Just come here," she said and waved her over.
(Y/N) stood up and tossed her phone onto the couch. She walked over to Sasha who seemed excited to play, she hoped that this game wouldn't be weird.
"Alright.. let's get started," Sasha said, going behind her to tie the blindfold over her eyes.
She faintly heard the sound of the front door opening, she was confused as to who came in. Then she remembered Connie went to go throw out the garbage, so she figured it was Connie coming back in.
"Okay first thing!" Sasha said and held out the item for her to touch.
(Y/N)'s fingers brushed over the item, it felt cold. It felt like plastic too, was it a box? It felt smooth.
"Is this like.. a box or something?" she asked, looking around with the blindfold on.
She heard giggles and laughs coming from Connie and Sasha. "Yeah it's a box! Here's the next item," Sasha said.
Her fingers brushed over the soft material, it felt velvety and smooth. It felt like petals from a flower.
"Are these flowers?" she asked.
"Damn (Y/N)! You're good at this! Here's the last thing," Connie said, his voice sounding faded.
She furrowed her brows as she heard whispering and shuffling, she was tempted to remove the blindfold to see if they were playing a prank.
"Okay here," Sasha said.
She reached out feeling something hard, it felt like.. a chest? Her brows furrowed again as she ran her fingers along it.
"Sasha is this your chest? Connie is definitely not this muscular," (Y/N) asked, looking around for their voices.
Sasha giggled. "No it's not me! You can take your blindfold off in a sec," she said, taking out her phone.
(Y/N) felt nervous as she kept her hands on the person's chest, they felt warm and she could feel their heart racing against her skin.
"Okay now!" Sasha yelled.
(Y/N) removed her blindfold, letting her eyes adjust. When she looked up she was faced with the honey eyes of the person she least expected.
It was Jean.
Her jaw dropped as her hands slapped over her mouth, she couldn't believe it. He held in his hands flowers and a box of chocolate, the flowers being her favorite. Roses. He stood there smiling at her reaction, she looked back seeing Sasha recording and Connie laughing.
"You're real.." (Y/N) said, looking at Jean with wide eyes.
He smiled. "I'm real," he replied, opening his arms for her.
She tackled him with a bone crushing hug, his arms wrapping around her waist surrounding her in his embrace. She inhaled his scent and let his warmth engulf her.
Tears welled in her hues as she put her hands onto his face. "Pinch me please.." she said and laughed a bit.
Jean chuckled, cupping her cheek. "I don't think you're dreaming," he replied, pulling her closer.
"This is so cute I feel like a proud mom," Sasha said as she kept recording.
(Y/N) looked back. "H-How? How did you get him here?" she asked and nodded.
Connie rubbed the back of his neck. "We actually were both in on it, we paid for his ticket and everything. He's staying at my place actually," he said, smiling at her.
"Sasha planned the game too," Jean added and looked towards the brunette.
(Y/N) pulled Sasha into a tight hug. "I literally love you right now," she said as a few tears escaped down her cheeks.
"Uh (Y/N)! I think you should be the one telling him that," Sasha said, pointing at Jean.
She came back over to Jean who handed her the flowers. "Someone as beautiful as you are deserves these in person. Happy Valentine's Day beautiful," he said, smiling down at her.
She laughed as she took the flowers, her heart swelling. "Thank you really.." she replied, pulling him into another hug.
He put his arms around her, he felt his heart flutter as he felt her touch. "Do you want to..?"
"Get out of here?" she asked, nodding.
The two looked back at Sasha and Connie. "Knock yourselves out! Don't have too much fun (Y/N).." Connie said and smirked devilishly.
Heat rushed onto her cheeks. "I'd like to say the same to you both," Jean said, putting his arm around her shoulder.
Connie and Sasha both turned red. "Okay! Bye Jean and (Y/N)! Have fun!" Sasha said and ran out of the room.
They both turned to one another, laughs escaping both of their lips. "Let's go," she said, fishing around her pockets for her car keys.
Jean followed her out of Sasha's apartment building to her car, his hands brushing over her fingers a few times making her cheeks hot.
Once in the car, she began the drive back to her apartment. She couldn't keep her eyes off Jean, he looked so much better in person. All of his features stood out, his jawline, his hair, and his amazing eyes.
"You know.. you're 100x more beautiful in person," Jean said, breaking the silence between them.
She smiled. "Thank you… you're 100x more handsome," she replied and looked over at the passenger side.
Jean felt his cheeks grow red from her words. "I never thought in a million years I'd meet you this soon," he said and leaned back in his seat.
She laughed a bit. "I could say the same.. Sasha told me nothing about this," she replied, turning the steering wheel.
A chuckle erupted in his throat. "It was meant to be kept secret. Connie and Sasha both messaged me about it and I was in," he said.
"I thought you were ghosting me at first.. I was so bummed at her house,"
Jean looked over at her. "Oh never.. I'd never ghost you. Connie told me to just put distance so it wouldn't seem weird," he said, brushing his fingers over her arm.
Tingles ran around her body as he touched her. "I should have known something was up," she said and shook her head. "Anyway, we're here." she added, taking off her seatbelt.
Jean exited the car with her. He followed her up the stairs to her apartment. She opened the door and removed her shoes, Jean stepped in and eyed the room. She kept it clean and organized.
"Nice place," Jean said and smiled at her.
She looked back at him. "Oh thank you.. it means a lot," she replied, placing his gifts on the counter.
The two stood there for a moment just taking in their appearances. She felt her heart racing as Jean stood there eyeing her.
"So um.. what do you wanna do?" Jean asked, looking down at her.
She leaned against the wall. "I dunno.. maybe we can watch a movie in bed?" she asked, nodding.
"Sounds like a plan.. I gotta call Connie. He needs to drop my shit off in the morning if I'm sleeping here," he said and took out his phone.
(Y/N) rocked on her heels. "Sounds good! Um.. I'll be right back, I'm gonna change." she replied and made her way to her room.
Jean texted Connie and within seconds he responded with an 'ok'. He walked towards the room where (Y/N) was, her room was decorated nicely. She knew how to keep it clean. He noticed the familiar sights he used to see on facetime.
She came from the bathroom wearing shorts and a t-shirt. "Come sit," she said and hopped on her bed.
Jean felt stiff, he didn't want to make her uncomfortable or make any moves that were too quick.
"So uh… what kind of movie do you wanna watch?" he asked, looking at her nervously.
"Hmm.. horror?" she replied, looking back at him as she turned on the tv.
He nodded. "Sounds like a plan," he said and leaned back against the pillows on her bed.
She put on one of the horror movies and lied down next to him, her hands brushed over his arm veins. She traced lines where his muscles were. Goosebumps littered onto his skin feeling her touch.
"Don't be so stiff.. you aren't going to hurt me," (Y/N) said leaning up a bit.
He felt his nerves loosen up at her words. "Sorry.. I just don't wanna come off as a creep," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck.
She giggled, moving his arm so it was now around her waist. "You aren't a creep to me at all," she said, laying her head on his chest.
Jean's grip on her waist tightened as he brought her body closer to his. He imagined nights like these for so long, his arms around her holding her close so she never slips away.
She felt so warm next to him.
As the night went on, (Y/N) felt her eyes become droopy. She started to snooze against his chest, Jean smiled hearing her small snores and the way she twitched. He turned off the lamp and pulled the covers over the two of them.
-
The next morning Jean was awoken by (Y/N) moving out of his embrace. Her eyes trying to get used to the light that shone into her room, she grabbed her phone, the time reading 10:12 A.M.
She turned over to look at Jean who was awake. A giggle escaped her lips as she cuddled back into him.
"I didn't mean to fall asleep," she said and traced his muscles with her fingers.
He squeezed the flesh of her waist. "Don't worry about it," he replied and lied his chin onto her head. "What do you wanna do today, beautiful?" he asked.
She sighed. "Do you wanna just relax and chill? We don't have to go anywhere," she replied, looking up at him.
"Sounds fine by me," Jean said, staring up at the ceiling.
The two lied there for a few minutes before deciding to get dressed and ready for the day, Jean noticed his suitcases were at the front door. (Y/N) told him that Sasha had a spare key so she most likely stopped by while they were asleep. It made him laugh but also a little weirded out.
They both changed and lied around (Y/N)'s place, they took many photos together and goofed off. She never felt happier than she did in those moments, Jean didn't want to stop touching her. He loved feeling her smooth skin against his, he held her hand or brushed against her arm. Not in a creepy way of course.
It was around 6:30 in the afternoon, Jean and (Y/N) messed around in her apartment for most of the day. Watching movies, ordering food, taking photos, etc. It had been an amazing day.
"Hey Jean.." (Y/N) said, reaching up to play with the strands of his hair.
He looked down at her. "What's up?" he asked.
She smiled. "Do you wanna go to the pier near my house? We can watch the sunset," she asked, nodding her head.
His face lit up with excitement. "Hell yes! Let's go right now," he replied.
The two rushed out of the apartment and went to her car, the sun was going to set pretty soon, so they wanted to get to the pier at a decent time to see it all.
The car ride was fun, the two blasted music and sang along with the words.
Eventually, the two arrived at the pier. Many people walked along the sidewalks with each other, the summer air felt nice. Jean held her hand as they made their way up to the dock, some people leaned along the sides talking with one another.
The sun shined onto their faces, Jean's honey eyes looked like pure gold as the sun passed through them.
The tide from the waves crashed below them the seagulls flew in the sky or onto the ground.
"It's so pretty.." (Y/N) said, smiling as she leaned against the railing staring at the setting sun.
Jean admired the sky as it was painted with purples and oranges. "Yeah.. but not as pretty as you are," he said and held her hand in his.
She looked absolutely stunning to him. The way the sun shined over her skin and the way the wind lightly blew along her hair made his heart swell.
She was truly the most beautiful girl he ever laid his eyes on.
"I always imagined coming here with you.. it was my dream date," she said and smiled.
Jean took her hand into his. "Can I ask you something?" he asked.
She looked up at him. "Of course Jean," she replied and brushed a few strands of hair out of his face.
He let out a shaky breath. "(Y/N)... I never thought I'd ever get to meet you, but now that I have I realized how amazing you are. You're so beautiful.. don't even get me started on your smile either. You've made today so great and I've been meaning to ask you this question for so long. My feelings for you are strong and I can't imagine my life without you by my side," he said. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
She felt her heart burst at his words, she couldn't deny what she felt for Jean. "Yes! Yes!" she replied, putting her arms around his neck.
He smiled as he put his arms around her waist. "I love you.." he whispered.
Her eyes went wide. "I love you too.." she said, leaning into his face and pressing her lips onto his.
The kiss was passionate, his lips felt smooth and soft. It took her breath away.
"I promise I'll make you feel like a princess," Jean said and cupped her cheek. "I'll never let you go," he added.
She felt small tears form into her eyes. "I'll never let you go either," she said and smiled at him.
They stood there for awhile watching as the sun slowly disappeared behind the clouds, the sky painted in bright oranges and dark blues.
Arriving back home they both rushed up the stairs to her apartment. She unlocked it and pulled him into a heated kiss, the kiss feeling hot.
Jean made his way to the couch, his hands on her hips. "I didn't know you were this good of a kisser.." he whispered, smirking as he kissed her.
"I guess we're both full of surprises," she replied and put her arms around his neck.
He sat down on the couch, her thighs on either side of his legs. "Wait.." Jean said, breaking the kiss between them. "I need to mention one more thing," he added, looking up at her.
She nodded. "What's up?" she asked.
He felt a smile grow onto his lips. "I know I leave in two days but.. I wanted to let you know that I was pricing apartments around here as well as schooling.. and I found out I got accepted," he said.
Her jaw dropped hearing the news. "What!? No way! You're lying! Does that mean.." she said.
"I won't be far away anymore my love," he replied, cupping her cheek. "It's gonna take awhile for me to move in, but I should be here by the end of next month."
She felt excitement coursing through her. "That's great!" she said.
"I mean it when I say it that I do love you (Y/N).. it's not me saying that to impress you, I truly do." he said, smiling at her. "I can't imagine myself with anyone else. I want a future with you," he added.
She felt a smile grow onto her cheeks. "I love you too Jean… I want you with me forever," she said, running her fingers along his face.
He smiled and leaned in to kiss her lips. "Your wish is granted baby," he said and pressed his lips against hers.
She giggled, leaning down towards him. "What do you say we celebrate?" she asked, smirking.
He eyed her hungrily. "Oh you wanna be like that huh? Consider it your special Valentine's Day treat," he replied, bringing her body close to his.
