LEGO Star Wars Rebuild The Galaxy Thoughts

Rebuild The Galaxy is my favorite out of all the D+ LEGO SW specials. I really love the connections to LEGO and SW, including the previous LEGO SW shows, especially Freemaker Adventures. Michael Kramer did an amazing job with the soundtrack, Sig's and Yesi's themes were well-composed.

Part I

"For someone who spends all his time telling stories about heroes, you have no idea how to be one. Maybe that's why you like history so much. It's over and done, but your life isn't. There's so much ahead of you if you'd just try, but you're afraid." Dev Greebling

Sig Greebling is such a cool name. I really love how he's a literal in-universe SW fan, yet someone who actually wants to be normal despite his Force sensitivity. I find it funny he's a literal Nerf herder. I do emphasize of how he wanted to avoid all the expectations if people know he's Force-sensitive.

I love the reference to Wookiees originally being a part of RotJ before being replaced with Ewoks.

Fennesa is a cool-looking world. Yesi Scala is another cool name (I get reminded of Scala Ad Caleum from KH haha). It's too bad Sig's indecisiveness and inability to step out of his comfort zone translates to his social life, even his crush. The background painting showing the sunset is so beautiful.

I really like how the Ackbar Troopers are the Clones in this universe. They must have chosen Ackbar as the main host due to his skills since he was a skilled warrior and leader, but definitely also for the memes out of universe. I also love how Phase I was used because the Kaminionans designed the Phase I suit based on aquatic species like themselves and would fit the Mon Calamari Clones.

The fighting animation and choreography for Yesi's fight against the Ackbar Troopers are so well animated. I laughed seeing that one Ackbar Trooper shooting with two blasters. I can see why Sig likes Yesi. Also ooff, Yesi lost her father in this timeline to the Empire. You can feel the bleak state of this galaxy under this Empire. At least, Yesi's desire to fly among the stars and not live in a backwater world is still there. I like how Sig also mentioned how Rancors are actually misunderstood intelligent creatures.

Double ooff, Sig's brother is now Darth Devastator "Dev". At least we finally get our first on-screen appearance of Jedi Bob!

Part II

"Being a hero is easier when you don't know the cost...Sig, the Force doesn't work that way. The dark side is loud and obvious like a big, mean Gamorrean kicking you in the head over and over. But the light side, the light side of the Force is just a whisper in the back of your mind." Bobolian Afol "Jedi Bob"

Darth Rey as Dev's apprentice feels so wrong about the intentional nature of aspects of this new universe. Jedi Bob!...or rather Bobolian Afol lmao (I also love how the markings seem a bit faded which signals his age). I love this cynical Jedi who sucks at fighting but is amazing at the Force...which is what a true Jedi should specialize in.

FREEMAKER LORE! THE FORCE BUILDERS ARE BACK! I love seeing them once again and hearing Bob recap them feels cathartic.

Ewok Bounty Hunters is one thing but bounty hunter C-3PO channeling his Triple 0 and HK-47 vibes in a Naboo Royal Cruiser with gold plating feels so right yet so wrong in the best ways possible. Yesi really has a lot of baggage with her wanting to prove herself and redeem herself for accidentally getting a rebel base captured.

Mos Eisley Marina made me die on the inside lmao. Tatooine isn't boring anymore lmao. I do love how this is a nod to how the BoBF and Legends mention Tatooine being once covered with oceans before becoming a desert world.

Like father like son indeed, however, even Anakin wouldn't go that far to cheat. I do love how Luke and Anakin use the same Podracer. Poor Max Rebo.

I love how Maul in this galaxy is much more relaxed and happy. At least, in this galaxy, Maul gets to live his life without the tragedies in his main galaxy life.

I love the implication that Nubs is well-known in the main galaxy that Sig knows about him. I'm incredibly confident that Darth Hammerhead is Rusty. Even in another universe, nobody remembers his name lmao.

That brief Duel of the Fates theme playing when Darth Jar Jar appeared was so hype and chilling. His line goes unironically hard.

Part III

"I know you can't restore a galaxy once it's gone because I tried to restore my own, and I failed. In the galaxy I'm from, things were simpler. I was a Padawan on Alistan Nor, learning the secrets of Force Building. I'd heard rumors about the Cornerstone. The more I read, the more obsessed I became. Was it possible to remake an entire galaxy? I needed to know the truth. My Masters forbid me from searching for the Cornerstone, but I wasn't exactly good at following orders. There were so many rules. I just wanted to do things my own way. I thought I could control the Cornerstone. I never thought -- When I left that temple, everything was different. My galaxy was gone, Sig. And yours had just been born." Bobolian Afol "Jedi Bob"

We truly reached the pinnacle of miniaturized Death Star tech with the Dark Falcon lmao.

Darth Jar Jar definitely isn't dead and I love what little time we had with him.

I love the lights looking like the Binary Sun and the music playing as Luke looks towards them.

I love how Palpatine in this universe is a cynic who gave up on fighting. I like that fascinating take on this alternate Palpatine. The new Jedi Council (I like the faded and scratched markings similar to Jedi Bob signals their age and tiredness of a seemingly hopeless war) is insane with Jedi Vader (I love that this is a SW Infinities comic reference, it felt cathartic to see it realized in visual media), Dooku, Cad Bane, Jannah, Lobot, IG-88(?), and even Jabba. I really love that Jannah has more to do here including her actress returning to voice her.

Greedo being the Han of this universe was so funny. He even has the Rodian ears for his Slave I Firespray ship lmao.

I love how Yesi recreates the energy in TFA when she does smth incredibly insane with Greedo's ship. Sig saying I do feels like his and Yesi's "I know" moment. And a Star Trous mention. I also feel like Yesi's point of how you fix the mistake got to Jedi Bob and got to him into revealing the truth. I love how Grevious is one of the rebels in this universe.

Alistan Nor!!! THAT'S THE FORCE BUILDER WORLD AND IT WAS MENTIONED IN FREEMAKER ADVENTURES.

Damn, this Han really became just like his mentor in the old universe. A true scoundrel.

God that twist of the old universe never coming back is gut-wrenching...especially since Jedi Bob is the only survivor of his old universe. The story of Jedi Bob is beyond tragic. One simple curiosity into the cornerstone left him the only survivor. Spending all that time alone in the Temple to make sure it doesn't happen again...only for it to happen again. I also really love how the simple galaxy is represented by 4:3 aspect ratio and all LEGO figures are the classic yellow designs.

WHEN SERVO WAS DESTROYED, I FELT MY HEART BREAKING APART. God that was heartbreaking to see, just like many heroes before him in his stories, to save his friends Sig gave himself up.

Part IV

"The tales of my galaxy. The tales of people like Dev. My Dev. I don't wanna forget them. They matter." Sig Greebling

God the intro with the sad music and Servo shutting down just hurts me in ways I cannot comprehend. The collapsing logo really showcases we're in the endgame.

I love how Yoda is voiced by his Young Jedi Adventure VA in this show. It is heartbreaking to see Ian Han hate Yoda given the very first major LEGO SW special (The Padawan Menace was one of my first non-SW movie experiences in my childhood).

Even if Dev is mentally messed up, I really like how he came around to having a brother and want to be brothers. I like how Sig realizes this is all a fantasy of a galaxy he can never restore. He fights to save this galaxy now.

I'm happy Tico got to a substantial role in this show alongside Rey. Reusing the Nobody line toward Darth Rey was pretty cruel.

The space battle was shot very well and I love the designs of the Calamari Destroyers.

Dev's breakdown was pretty disturbing to see and how he took the rage and lack of happiness in his life to put his idea of "order" and to take control of his life. Especially how he sees himself as beyond redemption and the point of no return.

The quote I used for the introduction quote is beautifully anti-nihilist.

The fight is so well choreographed and so peak, especially when the brief moment the windows were destroyed and the energy shield was activated. The fact the Nerf herder stick came back to be a major turning point in the fight against Dev is great. It was heartbreaking and I got a bit misty-eyed to see Dev ultimately decide to remain evil.

My heart repaired itself as Servo was reconstructed. The old galaxy is gone but the stories will live on. And leave it for Servo to interrupt Sig and Yesi's tender moment haha.

The ending shot with the new crew really felt like the passing of the torch between the Freemaker Adventures to Rebuild the Galaxy. I hope we get to see the Freemaker cast, especially the Freemaker family on Alistan Nor.

Also, The Landolorian and Evil Grogu has been so hyped as the sequel hook alongside Darth Rey and Tico being in charge of the Empire.

This is such a great show and I can't wait to see more LEGO SW stories set in this universe.

when  yeseul  was  around  10  she  started  acting  out.  she  would  steal  from  shops,  get  into  fights  at  school,  and  was  generally  a  difficult  kid.  linda  already  disliked  her,  but  at  this  point  the  two  girls  could  barely  stand  each  other  at  all.  yongsuk  was  the  mediator,  but  really  always  sided  with  yesi

yesi  was  becoming  an  increasingly  better  magician,  as  well  as  doing  good  in  school,  all  thanks  to  the  little  extra  attention  her  father  was  now  giving  her

when  yeseul  was  15,  her  father  would  perform  his  most  ambitious  —  and  also  very  last  —  trick  ever.  being  called  the  houdini  of  this  generation,  yongsuk  let  it  get  to  his  head,  and  he  was  put  in  a  box,  chained  in,  and  sunk  into  a  lake,  promising  his  daughter  he’d  be  up  soon.  he  never  emerged again

linda  found  a  way  to  secure  himself  whatever  fortune  yongsuk  had  and  effectively  kicked  yeseul  out.  she  soon  found  herself  moving  to  new  york  to  stay  with  her  aunt

new  york  catered  to  her  in  a  way  mapleview  never  did.  she  found  her  crowd,  was  introduced  to  a  whole  scene  of  thieves  and  liars.  snuck  her  way  into  venues  to  seduce  dumb  men  and  steal  their  wives’  jewelry.  she’d  snap  people’s  wallets  and  make  a  show  out  of  it.  invincible  but  utterly  lost

at  18  she  moved  to  las  vegas  and  began  gambling  and  soon  found  she  was  very  good  at  it.  cheating  her  way  through  everything  and  emptying  pockets  wherever  she  went,  yesi  had  soon  become  a  criminal  that  no  one  seemed  able  to  catch  —  think  the  movie  now  you  see  me.  very  much  the  life  she  should  be  living  right  there

3  years  ago  she  returned  to  mapleview,  kicked  her  stepmom  out  of  what  yesi  felt  was  rightfully  her  house  with  the  documents  (  albeit  not  real  )  to  prove  it

NOW:

eat  the  rich  !!  your  valuables  are  safe  if  you’re  not  flashing  them  around  in  an  annoying  way.  to  put  it  this  way:  she’d  steal  from  jeff  bezos,  not  bill  gates

yesi  studies  law  not  because  she  cares  to  reinforce  it,  but  if  she’s  breaking  them  it’s  good  to  have  a  foot  on  the  inside.  it’s  practical  even  though  it’s  boring

nights  are  often  spent  at  bars,  fancy  venues,  often  outside  of  mapleview,  scouting  out  her  next  victim  —  and  she  is  good  at  it,  almost  to  the  point  one  might  think  there  is  actual  magic  involved

how  did  she  land  a  job  with  a  good  man  like  robin  abrams  you  ask  ?  she’s  efficient,  a  quick  learner  and  she  does  a  good  job.  sure,  she  may  give  him  a  hard  time  and  be  blunt,  but  at  the  end  of  the  day  she’s  committed  to  her  work  —  both  of  them

PERSONALITY/MISC:

there’s  really  no  way  around  the  fact  that  yesi  feels  broken.  she’s  apathetic  almost  to  a  fault,  rude  and  careless  and  extremely  blunt.  there  is  no  sugarcoating  where  she  is  involved.  that  doesn’t  make  her  mean  though  —  if  you’re  her  friend  you’re  in  good  hands.  but  she  doesn’t  exactly  go  out  of  her  way  to  make  friends.  she’s  very  fine  and  capable  of  being  on  her  own

she  acts  like  she’s  better  than  everyone  else,  but  deep  down  she  knows  she’s  not.  it’s  safer  this  way  though.  it’s  as  if  nothing  ever  hurts  her.  may  be  a  tad  narcissistic,  definitely  has  too  much  confidence

she’s  a  drama  queen.  she  lives  for  the  dramatic  flare,  making  a  show  out  of  things.  it’s  not  necessarily  because  she  wants  to  be  in  the  spotlight,  but  she  just  doesn’t  see  why  she  shouldn’t  when  she  can.  she  would  love  to  one  day  pull  off  a  great  heist,  of  the  likes  of  the  pink  panthers,  but  mapleview  is  limiting  that  greatly

yeseul  is  intelligent  and  also  has  photographic  memory.  that’s  how  she  graduated  high  school  so  high  in  her  class  and  also  got  into  law  school.  there  may  have  been  some  falsified  documents  in  the  mix  as  well,  but  you’ll  never  hear  it  from  her

beneath  it  all,  yesi  has  a  big  heart  waiting  to  crack.  if  one  pushes  the  correct  buttons,  the  girl  is  bound  to  break

another  cinderella  story,  yesi  was  an  orphan  at  15  with  an  evil  stepmother,  always  loved  magic  and  wanted  to  become  a  magician  like  her  father,  but  she  started  using  tricks  to  steal  from  people  instead.  is  really  good  at  what  she  does  which  is  being  a  horrible  person  and  lying.  real  ugly  <3

listen,,, they both have the rescue role and have to save their teammates from the hunters and off of the rocket chairs(that blast the survivors back to the manor, meaning that survivor “loses” the round), so they have to deal with being chased and getting injured a lot. the difference is that naib doesn’t exactly have a weapon of sorts to protect himself with, he can only run, so he takes the most damage/hits because the hunter is almost always on your ass while being chased. reimy on the other hand can throw her gambling cards or casino ships at the hunters and temporarily stun/confuse them to help herself escape or to save the survivors, but sometimes she misses and takes a hit as well. but anyways...  whenever they get back to the mansion they will probably sit down to cool off, or patch each other up and let emily(the doctor/nurse) focus on patching up the other teammates, which they don’t mind because that means they can spend time with each other, usually they’re silent with patching each other up, but not out of embarrassment or anything else, it’s just comfy silence. then reimy will usually rest her head on naib’s shoulder afterwards and they’ll hold hands or reimy will fiddle with his fingers, either or, they’re both exhausted after the match and wanna rest, and their shoulders are perfect for resting on.

B - Bashful: what’s something one finds embarrassing about themselves but the other finds adorable? 

naib will always become super flustered from basic relationship things that are normal, like pet names, gifts, basic affection, etc. he hates it because he’s supposed to be this strong mercenary, and keep the tough, stoic image, but how can he when he blushes from something so simple as holding hands? reimy loves it though, she finds it adorable as hell, she won’t tease him about it but will just sit there and smile lovingly as he tries to sputter out an excuse for how flustered he is, hiding his face with his arms or hands. reimy assures him that she feels the same way about him and expressed how happy she is to be with him, and this’ll be with her words and her actions, gently taking his hands into her’s and giving him the smooch.

with reimy, she’s embarrassed about her feelings of being in love with naib, this could be because she never really had a serious or long-lasting relationship before coming to the manor and meeting naib, she never even formed a strong crush on anyone, really. of course she’s educated on romance and the whole shebang, but she’s not used to actually feeling that way and being in a romantic relationship. since she’s not used to being super head-over-heels for anyone else and never believe that she would, she’d spill a lot of her feelings to naib(and that’s actually how she accidentally confesses to him but shhh we won’t go into detail about that yet), and naib finds it so adorable and comforting, he loves it so much and will let her gush if she feels like it. they’re both so thankful to have each other honestly,,

C - Calm: how do they calm the other down?

usually when naib gets angry, he will get loud and aggressive, or if he remembers events from his past he'll shut down for a second, or start to cry, but the latter is usually in private. when naib gets angry, whether it’s at someone or something, reimy will restrain him gently, or grasp his hands and pull them up to her lips to kiss his knuckles/fingers while whispering for him to cool down a bit, which does help him and he’ll return to whatever he was doing before, but he’s less angry/aggressive now. whenever naib remembers something from his past, reimy will gently wrap her arms around him, and she’ll either rub his sides or his arms, sitting there with him in silence. slowly he begins to relax, melting into her touch and sighing, burying his face into the crook of her neck and reimy will roam her hands further under his hood and rub the back of his head or through his hair, this helps him relax even more and he’ll wrap both arms around her slowly, pulling her closer and holding her. reimy will sit there with him as long as she needs to, holding him and mumbling loving words to him.

reimy never really gets angry, but she used to be easily angered more in the past when she was gambling more frequently and dealt with disrespectful gamblers. but at the manor, she never really has to deal with this because everyone got along somewhat well, and respected each other. but if she did get angry it wouldn’t be at the other survivors, naib would grab her wrist and say, “whoa whoa, rei, let’s go take a breather, okay?” she will follow him if he decides to return to his or her room to cuddle or talk before heading back out. whenever she’s thinking about her own past/trauma, or something reminds her of her gambler life(which usually happens during matches), she’ll tense up and work more slowly, she’ll fidget with her hair, casino chips, etc. or if it gets worse, her hands will shake and she wouldn’t be able to focus on deciphering. naib will notice immediately and will quickly find someplace for them to hide for a few minutes so naib can sit her down and calm her down, allowing her to cry, or do whatever she needs to. he’s not experienced in comforting people, but he’s trying his best.

D - Danger: how do they calm the other down?

naib will always be on edge, it’s just something he developed as he got older, and now that he is actually in a relationship with someone it’s that but like that feeling times ten, especially since it’s his first relationship. if he can’t find reimy in her room, or any of their usual spots they vibe at(even though she’s probably in the kitchen, he just overcomplicates things), he’ll be a little spooked at that and start searching more frantically, but he won’t tear the whole place apart in a panic because he knows she’s probably fine and just doing her own thing. when she goes to look for him after making herself some food or something, it’s probably the easiest task for reimy to find naib because she’ll bump into him while he’s searching for her, completely unaware that he was looking for her, so she calms him down and assures him that she’s not going anywhere soon, while also smooching all over his face. 

but during matches is when it becomes much more serious, naib and reimy will have to separate to take care of ciphers quicker, but when the alarm for when someone is attacked by the hunter they both panic when they realize it was either of them. of course they become freaked out when it’s any of their teammates being attacked, but it’s a whole new level when it’s one of them, naib will definitely abandon whatever he’s doing to go help, whether it’s by distracting the hunter from reimy or taking the hits instead, he’ll try to do anything in his power to protect her, even of she scolds him for it later and tells him to stop getting hurt for her. but she’ll be a lot more chaotic and will jump in head first without even assessing the situation, she’ll throw all her cards and chips at the hunter frantically to distract them or stun them to give her and naib enough time to bolt outta there with naib, then reimy is the one receiving the scolding, but they both believe it’s worth it.

“Where are you from?” A CCK Trilogy

This is the question I get most asked whenever I move to a new country. 

I mean, I guess it’s fair. 

I move to a lot of non-Asian countries like Australia, the United States, Switzerland and Germany so I don’t look like the majority of the population. 

(Notice that I used the term “the majority” and not “local people” taking into consideration that those who hold citizenship in the aforementioned countries are very diverse and do not belong to one particular racial ethnicity, you sensitive jerks.)

Generally when you see me, you will probably refer to my specific ethnicity as Asian. 

Which is true. 

I am Asian

I rock the black hair, brown eyes, stumpy 160cm height all the freakishly tall Western guys go for. 

I also don’t catch heat stroke and rarely get sunburns. (Chargers sold separately.) 

...just don’t feed me past midnight...

For a CCK, this is actually a really good question. 

Where do I really come from?

Okay that was my last one I promise. 

According to my passport, I’m Indonesian by citizenship. 

I guess you can say I look Indonesian but I’m not really sure. It’s kind of debatable now. Some say I do, others think I’m a halfie. I just go with “Asian”. It’s the safest answer.  

Better than fixating on looks, however, one might question whether or not a person can be identified as truly being a citizen of his or her birth country if that person has grown up outside of his or her “home country” for the majority of his or her life. 

Firstly, I’m going to open up with a hashtag called #CCKProblems because whether you’re a #TCK or all the other colours of the #CCK rainbow, you will always struggle with this fact. 

Many CCKs (TCKs included) spend most of their life growing up outside of their “home country”. 

This is the reality.

In my case, I spent 12 years of my life consistently in Indonesia and the next 19 years moving around different countries. I would also spend a duration of 1 to 4 years in each country before I would move again.   

The only other time I have moved back to live in Indonesia was after I graduated my Bachelor Degree. I even ended up moving to Bali instead of Jakarta because I couldn’t managed the “culture shock” upon coming “home” again. I had to resettle myself in an environment that was still somewhat more Western than Asian. 

Crazy isn’t it? The thought of experiencing culture shock when you go back to your own home country. 

This is what it feels like...

It’s also pretty obvious by the way, to the Indonesians. I wasn’t automatically welcomed with open arms back to my country. In fact, when I first moved to Bali, I found that even the local Indonesian people I worked with (as friendly and hospitable as they were), still had a hard time relating to me or figuring out where I belonged. Was I foreigner or local?

For a long time, I, like any other Western person, was called “Bule” which translates to...well it translates to “White person”.  YesI know that’s mind blowingly racist but we say it to mean “Westernized Foreigner”. Hey! I didn’t make up this word! 

I obviously felt a little taken back. Why would they call me that?

Well...easy. Because it was clear as glass just how Westernized I am compared to the ones who spent their entire lives in Indonesia. 

Sure I still speak fluent Indonesian, but they don’t categorize me into the same “box”.

Even after settling in there for 2 years, learning some Balinese and having improved my Indonesian again, I was still in limbo. They recognized me as someone in between not being a local and not being a foreigner. I was that Bule Indonesian. The other name they called me was “Cinta Laura” who was this Miley Cyrus like Indonesian Aussie celebrity who is a CCK like me. I realized that that’s how they could make sense of who I am. 

And I guess I was kind of “ok” with that.  

Another reason why people in my own “homeland” might not consider me a true “local” is because I don’t have an Indonesian accent. 

My accent is some weird mix of Australian/American which gets decided on the spot depending on whom I am speaking with and what accent they have. 

Story time! 

The first time I worked in Bali, I was showing around this couple, giving them a tour inspection at the hotel I was working at at the time. They were an awesome couple. Aussies. Ten minutes into the tour, the man had to stop me. I think he was baffled for like 10 minutes because the next thing that came out of his mouth was...

“I’m sorry. I have to stop you for a moment. Your English is FANTASTIC! How did you learn to speak to well?”

This is not the first time I get this question by the way. 

I even have an outside and inside facial expression as a response.

So when we go back to the question...

Where am I from?

Well, most days I just to cut to the chase.

“I’m from Indonesia,” you will usually hear me say, “but I was raised in Australia.”

This is generally the reply I get, “Wow! Australia! That’s really cool! I’ve always wanted to see Australia!”

For some weird reason, though, they never bring up Indonesia unless, of course, they’ve been there before. 

The ones who have would say something like, “Awesome! I’ve been there!”

“Bali?” I would automatically ask. But of course it’s Bali. Where else in Indonesia would they go to?

But anyway, here’s the exciting twist. 

I also wasn’t “raised” in Australia...

The truth is, I spent the longest years of my life “growing up” in Melbourne and two years in my late 20s in Perth. 

I figured that it was easier to choose Australia because the Australian culture is one I’ve learned the most about and am the most familiar with out of all the other cultures I’ve absorbed in my years of moving. 

Also, when I said “growing up” I meant spending 9 out of those 19 years in the Land Down Under learning to become a functioning human being. 

So what happened in between the 10 years that I wasn’t in Australia?

Well, after years of reciting the same story over and over again, editing my experiences through those years, I imagine I have become quite a storyteller. 

Today, I have condensed my timeline down to the following paragraph...

I grew up in the States, Australia, Indonesia, Switzerland and Germany. I originally left home when I was 12 because of political unrest in Indonesia at the time and had to move unexpectedly to the States for the next two and a half years. I completed middle school in San Francisco and then continue on to a boarding school in Australia. Little did I know that that would be the first out of three moves between Indonesia and Australia for the next fourteen years of my life. I only lasted a year and a half in boarding school before I begged to go home to complete high school in Indonesia. After high school, I realized my roots no longer served me in Jakarta and I applied to return to Australia do my bachelor’s degree. I spent most of my full-time work in Bali after graduating Uni the first time (which, I have to admit was pretty awesome) and after nearly 3 years in Bali, I returned to Australia once again to do an MBA degree (which, by the way, was completely unexpected considering it was my only application to do an MBA, the other applications were to go to Hospitality School). I graduated 2015 from my Master Degree and returned to Bali for a year after that. Unfortunately, that was also  the year life threw a massive curve ball at me and my entire family, and after 2016, I decide to run off to Switzerland to try to get my life back together and (finally) specialize in hospitality. That was two years ago. I thought I would go back to Indonesia after that but I realized I could no longer fit in back “home”. Then, life threw me on another course and routed me towards Germany. And ...here I am today.

I’m really grateful to have lived such a wholesome life and to be able to travel and live in so many different parts of the world. Not many people get to live and tell such stories about their own lives and for that I am grateful. 

So in retrospect, maybe being Indonesian without being too Indonesian isn’t such a bad thing. I was born to represent my birth country but having a Western side also helps me bridge out to the rest of the world. In that sense, I am really lucky to be able to see the world from so many points of view.

LIFE!! is separated into “when do i get to eat raw oysters" and “OMFG IM EATING RAW OYSTERS” shrimp: yes yes yes yes ye syes yes yes yes yesys eysye syes yes!!! tofu: im down with it if its texture is complemented say by a tasty cronch texture!! tomatoes: hells to the yes zucchini: hells! to the yes! spinach: GIMME GREEN SMOOTHIES FOR LIFE or that strawberry+walnut spinach salad asparagus: akjsfdhskjgsh dont even get me started i love asparagus celery: i mean sure yeah ill cronch on some ants on a log! eggplant: yes good fine mushrooms: BINCH BETTER HAVE MY MUSHROOMS beans: oh mygod my oh god oh my god.....beans...........every kind...... yes...... grapefruit: ALWAYS EVERY DAY 24/7 raisins: i mean sure cool mostly in oatmeal raisin cookies
