#hi#it's me#i know I should be studying#but#did I ever tell you about a Dr House-esque case my professor of internal medicine solved?#a patient with BOTH a lead poisoning and an undiagnosed#porphyria whick blocked different heme degradation pathways and confused the enzyme pathways findings#and whom should have had. microcytic anemia which didn't show in the labs because of her concurrent conditions#ok now#this is the professor doing our exam tomorrow#just imagine dr house but much less sexy and more bitchy#that's him that's my prof#it's gonna be a massacre#and I am freaking out#sorry#(the patient had porphyria I don't think I wrote that clearly enough)
