Y'know what, I do love Spiderbit to pieces but I am actually very happy that Roier sorta backed away and told Cellbit that Bobby is his and Jaiden's son. Cellbit can very much be his step-dad! But it's him and Jaiden that went through all the love and grief together first.

God the more I rewatch Etoiles fight the more it hurts. Hell the more I watch any parent fight their egg it hurts, from Max bawling over Trump to Quackity being basically insta killed by Tilin and Roiers anger as fake Bobby didn't attack them while Jaiden was filled with conflicting delusional happiness.

But especially this Etoiles fight yesterday puts the whole dinner into a much bigger perspective and I'd like to think that that's the reason why they put Phil in the fight with Etoiles.

They wanted him to hesitate.

They wanted Phil to be the burden during that fight because those things carry the names of his children, the children he'd burn the world down for. But they underestimated how strict Phil is with his trust and decision making to the point that even in egg form he treated them like they were monsters instead of his children.

Phil's special because while yes during Etoiles fight the code got better at adapting to an egg its still the same concept. He still had definite proof that that wasn't her but he still hesitated.

And I wanna go into the why of that, Phil's a hard-core player through and through and you will not get that out of his playstyle, you can see it on every multi-player server he's been on in the past because thats just how he plays the game. And as a hard-core player he probably has the most interesting relationship to mortality and is someone who can understand the eggs on a whole different level. But this means he's also INCREDIBLY aware of how much weight decision making carries and how even a single decision could decide over him staying alive or dying, he's used to that, it doesn't bother him anymore. That's why Phil is also someone who's very confident in his decisions, when he says he won't do or go to something because he knows the outcome then he means that and not even curiosity will get the better of him if he sees any form of danger or risk. If he tells Tallulah or Chayanne an instruction he expects them to follow it to a T because he gives those for good reasons each time (and both of his kids know that his instructions are teachings more than they are just him telling them to do something). And this confidence in his own decisions is why he fought those codes so relentlessly at the dinner, I'm convinced even if he hadn't gone back to get a picture of his kids he still would've fought these codes the same way. He trusts his experience and he trusts that he'll be able to deal with the consequences of his own decisions no matter if the outcome is good or bad. There's a reason why other players usually come to him for advice or when he spends time with someone he naturally falls into a teaching role, it's because he knows so much because he's had to know it all to survive in a world where death is inevitable.

Now why does that differ him from Etoiles? Well Him and Etoiles are good fighter's in their own ways. There's no doubt about that. But Etoiles is more upfront, he's smart during pvp and incredibly knowledgeable about statistics and strategy but ironically enough he still struggles to trust in his own words and decisions. He's someone who's quickly plagued by regret or doubts, it's why he praises Bad and Phil so much. Because both of them are incredibly headstrong and confident in their decisions just due to sheer experience. Etoiles just isn't even if his experience is just as good. And you can see this hesitancy even during the dinner fight, he didn't want to fight the codes until they hit him first. And it was Phil screaming to kill those things that made him set on actually attacking. Even when he got singled out later on and had a fake Tallulah follow him, he didn't attack until Phil confirmed Tallulah was safe with him. Etoiles trusts Bads and Phil's words a lot and holds them both in high regards when it comes to their opinions and decisions because he knows how much sheer experience those 2 carry. But during that fight yesterday he was alone, each of his actions couldn't be reassured because he was fighting alone and the actual Pomme wasn't there. He was terrified of making a wrong decision, even with Pierre reassuring him that it wasn't Pomme Etoiles couldn't bring himself to trust his own decision, even with their secret code not working Etoiles couldn't trust himself, even with seeing it carry the codes swords he couldn't trust himself. Even after the fight was over, after he saw Pommes bed with her sleeping tightly in it. He couldn't trust himself. He didn't feel like a winner to himself because his mind went into a spiral about of his decision was right or not, his mind screamed at him because he was sure he had fucked up royally and that's what makes it so interesting. Because Etoiles is a good fighter! And I'm pretty sure with equal gear he'd beat the 2 he holds in high regards to fighting skill a good amount. But he doesn't hold his own decision making very high, he's happy to be as help as a weapon that when he has to make a call he hesitates. And it didn't help that he had his daughters face stare at him while he had to make that important decision because while Phil loves his children just as much as Etoiles does, Phil never had to earn to be trusted with them. Phil's always been someone people trusted with the eggs while Etoiles had to earn his time with Pomme in promising he'll never let her die on his watch and will be careful beyond believe while he's with her.

It shows in the confidence of their decisions, and it's fascinating how much more it shows during these high tension moments. Etoiles is someone who struggles so much with the knowledge of failure and its what made his fight hurt so much more, because he was convinced he'd fucked up bad even after he saw her bed.

I'n case you don't know what that is here's some very simple explanations:

Aromantic means that you feel little to no romanic love. You basically don't really care about dating, you don't feel romantic love. You can still love people but not in a romantic way like you would with your Boyfriend/Girlfriend or Husband/Wife.

Asexual means that you feel little to no sexual attraction. You do not feel sexually attracted to people or you just don't like it!

Yes, while some people who are Aro or Ace can still feel these attractions, it does not mean you can use that as an excuse to live out your fantasies.

I've seen so many people use bullshit excuses to sexualize Alastor or to shove him into a romantic relationship it's unreal. JUST LET HIM BE SINGLE! These fuckers are always like: "Oh but he hasn't found the right person" or "He just doesn't have good experience with it"

Seriously??? You're mad because a hot guy won't date or fuck you, that's all this is about. You can't let one fucking character not be in a relationship or be sexualized?

I've had someone come to me and say that "Al is just uncomfortable with sex because he's been through a lot of trauma. It's my personal Headcannon." Literally so they can ship him with Lucifer.

The fact people can't accept that one character is AroAce to the point they completely erase it from his identity is actually terrifying and really uncomfortable. Is this how you would treat actual people? Like, you would treat actual people like this? I had a friend who made me physically uncomfortable because of how much he didn't care about Alastor's sexuality. He didn't care, even after being told he just didn't care and got upset when no one would be horny with him!

For a long time I've questioned if I was AroAce because I don't feel sexual attraction, I very rarely feel sexually attracted to anyone, but because of what I keep seeing happen to fictional characters who are Cannonly AroAce and even to an actual person called Jaiden Animations I'm scared to even have that label.

I just don't understand why no one can respect that a person doesn't want to be in a relationship or like anything sexual. Why? I genuinely don't understand. It makes me so mad and upset, scared even. Just let him be. It's not as if it's a popular Headcannon, it's been confirmed in and outside the show! He's even shown that he's uncomfortable with it in show.

resident evil oc headcanons because they’ve been rotting in my notes app for the past week and I need somewhere to dump it:

Jordan Manalang:

• Is the older twin by around 10 minutes, Jordan holds this over Jaiden’s head a ton. I like to think they’re both really mischievous and cause a ton of trouble at RPD with the Chris, Joseph and Forest troupe, they’re often spotted arguing or making fun of eachother.

• Insert that one Boondocks clip of Huey getting Riley to say that he’s gay. Jordan is Huey coded and Jaiden is Riley coded.

• Very superstitious and just loves anything related to the morbid or the macabre.

• I like to think Jordan’s natural hair is more curly like Jaiden’s. Unfortunately she straightens her hair every day, it’s just easier for her. Wesker hates this and likes playing with her waves.

• Loves music a ton and can play guitar, I like to think her and Wesker sing a lot together in their spare time, only she’ll ever be able to hear that from him, his singing voice is very similar to Frank Sinatra’s. Junior knows how to play guitar because of her and she hogs the mic during karaoke. I like to think she can dance too.

• I headcanon her voice to be akin to the likes of Uma Thurman, very raspy and sultry, you can hear the maturity in her voice.

• I forgot to put this in the Jordsker headcanon post, but I think another one of their pasttimes would be stargazing. Jordan points out the constellations she thinks are pretty while Wesker goes on a huge ramble about whichever myth or story corresponds to said constellation. Her freckles remind him of the stars.

• Practicing Christian, prays before every case that Alpha Team is sent out to investigate.

• I’m still on the fence of her whereabouts during Re2-3 but for now I think she moved out of Raccoon City after the Arklay Incident and after her recovery. I think she cleaned out whatever was in Wesker’s desk at the S.T.A.R.S. office and cussed Irons out before taking her leave. Wesker was no longer there with them and I think after S.T.A.R.S. disband she had no more incentive to stay, it would’ve made her grieving process harder anyway.

• I think I brought it up once or twice in my past artworks but Jordan was shot by Wesker while inside of the mansion, she was getting in the way. She has a metal plate installed near her right temple as a result and experiences chronic headaches.

• Besides Jackie, Chris and Barry are Jordan’s best friends at S.T.A.R.S. Wesker hates this and does not like how close she is with Chris, subtly tries to control her by making remarks about him in an attempt to make her see Chris in a different light.

• I think she’s close with Jill and Rebecca too as a trio, women in male-dominated fields stick together. However unlike the latter friendships Jordan sees Rebecca as her third kid whereas she sees Jill as a bad ass little sister who needs to get smacked sometimes.

• Campaign wise during Re1 I think she’d be with Wesker obviously but spend most of her time alone in the mansion since he’s off “investigating”, nothing suspicious here.

• MBTI is ENTP

Jaiden Manalang:

• Very much a playboy and is every woman’s nightmare. Is very superficial and takes care of himself a ton, he’s very keen on self-discipline and plans his day accordingly, including things such as a very strict workout regiment or a 12 step skin-care routine. He has no issue getting dates with women, however his behaviour is what drives them away, Jaiden is by no means a bad guy, he’s very loving and sweet however he is an extremely clingy and jealous person, this attitude causing many girls to take their leave. He longs for a relationship and a family for himself and is somewhat envious of his sister’s “success” with her relationship. Filipino men are EVIL.

• Speaking of women, Jaiden has been trying to chase Jill ever since they met and so far has been extremely unsuccessful, he also flirts with the RPD Secretary. Human Resources hates him.

• Prior to the Arklay Incident, I think Jaiden tried to form a brotherly bond with Wesker, the two having more of a love/hate relationship. He thought Wesker was a good fit for Jordan, he was rich, treated Jordan well and was overall a gentleman. I think initially Wesker put up with him for the sake of Jordan but then started to grow fond of the man, you’ll never get this out of him though. Matter of fact, you won’t get either of them to acknowledge their mutual respect for each other. On more boring days at the S.T.A.R.S. office, you can spot the two throwing a football back and forth in the RPD parking lot. After Arklay, Jaiden absolutely hates his guts and shittalks Wesker at any opportunity.

• Toronto-man accent. Will not elaborate I’m just projecting onto him.

• I am horrible at drawing it but Jaiden’s hair is on the curly side, parts of his hair range from 2a to 2c.

• Like Jordan, Jaiden sees Rebecca as his child and assumes the role of an “Uncle” for her. I like to think they cross paths at some point during the mansion incident and Jaiden tries to protect her. Takes the brunt of any attacks from the undead, by the end of it he’s all scuffed and cut up.

• During Re2-3, He’s with Jill. Absolutely hates Carlos’ guts (sorry Jaiden unfortunately you’re the dollar store version of him)

• I think campaign-wise during Re1 he’d be paired with Forest or Enrico. Within the Bravo team I like to think him and Enrico are like how Chris is with Wesker, a Captain and his right-hand man. Enrico keeps Jaiden grounded whereas Jaiden’s laid-back presence helps to ease Enrico’s tension when it comes to missions.

• He’s actually much much smarter than he looks and actually exceeds Jordan in intelligence, unfortunately nobody takes him seriously because of his rambunctious attitude so everyone thinks hes the local idiot. Everyone referred to him and Jordan as “Dumb and Dumber” at the S.T.A.R.S. office, guess who was referred to as “dumber”. (Other nicknames for the twins included things like “Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum”, etc.)

• MBTI is ESTP

Alvina Wesker:

• HUGE daddy’s girl. As the first-born, she was spoiled a ton by Wesker growing up and he’d get her anything her little heart wanted, they’d have to sneak around Jordan and promise eachother not to tell her otherwise she’d get pissed.

• Prefrontal cortex started developing wayyy too early. After Wesker left them, Jordan had to take on extra work to provide for the family, leaving Alvina to basically help raise Junior, the stress of it all making her brain mature much, much faster and take on responsibilities a kid her age really shouldn’t have.

• As a result of this, I like to think Alvina and Junior are extremely close despite the age gap between them, she’s always looking out for her little brother.

• Suffers from Golden-Child Syndrome, she’s seen as the “good” one and is held at a much higher standard than Junior. Alvina is very much an overachiever because of this however it takes a massive toll on her psyche, if she fails to be the “best” at something it causes her to breakdown and question her worth, what if she can’t really do this? you won’t amount to anything with a 4.5 gpa. Self-loathing thoughts like these are common and she fears having to face her parents when their expectations aren’t met. Deep, deep respect towards parental figures is a huge Asian ideology that is ingrained into Alvina and she tries her best to honour their wishes, despite some of them being theirs and not her personal wants.

• Valedictorian of course!

• I like to think her voice is a mix of Marceline’s from Adventure time and Maya Hawke’s if that makes sense.

• When she was younger, her and Junior were enrolled into a ton of activities to make them as skilled as possible. They were both enrolled into dance, Junior Hiphop with Alvina doing ballet, as she got older I think she switched to Hip-hop and it’s one of her favourite activities, Junior on the other hand stopped going when Jordan stopped forcing them to go and only retained some fundementals.

• Lanky as fuck, I think she’s pretty tall because of Wesker’s genes standing at around like 5’10-5’11.

• As for sports she plays basketball obviously every Filipino got that superpower, however I also think she’d be a soccer kid, just a feeling.

• Junior’s a cultured skater kid but Alvina’s vibe is more of like a down-town girl/clean girl aesthetic. Definitely makes you turn your head when you walk past her on the street, someone you’d compliment their outfit on when sitting next to on the bus or in the girls washroom.

• Like Junior, she can play an instrument but only Bass. She’s very average at it and can only really play some songs from memory, the rest you gotta pull up tabs or sheet music for.

• MBTI is ISTJ

“Junior” Raphael Wesker:

• Although he pursued film, he loves music and dabbles in it as a hobby. Can freestyle, sing and plays several instruments. (Guitar, Piano, Drums.) I think what contributed to it was the fact that Jordan picked up on this when he was still really young, did what every single Filipino parent did and enrolled him into singing and piano lessons in hopes of transforming him into like the next Beyoncé or something. Pulling a 6 year old Junior into every single karaoke motive at family functions is Jordan’s favourite party trick.

• Absolutely smitten with Sherry it’s not even funny, I think growing up she had like the “girl next door” vibe since she was older, being Alvina’s age.

• Alvina and Sherry are the only people that refer to Junior as “Raphael”, (“Rafa” or “Raf” as nicknames) completely breaking off the tie that he has to Wesker due to their shared first names, an act that is done in respect of Junior’s wishes. He hates his first name and the fact that he’s forever tied to the evil deadbeat, so he’d rather be called anything else besides Albert. “Junior” as a nickname still ties him to Wesker, so the use of his middle name gives him his own sense of self.

• Takes after Jordan, he reminds her of her when she was younger, it’s scary how much he mirrors her. It’s not a surprise though, Junior has always looked up to her.

• Since Jordan and Barry are close friends, it’s only natural for their children to be close too. Junior and Moira are friends and like to go run around disturbing the peace, activities like graffiti, lighting things on fire, typical stupid teenager things. They both bond over their shared feelings on father figures however every so often, Junior gets annoyed. He understands her feelings about Barry but is somewhat envious of her situation, atleast she still has a father.

• Like I said before, I imagine his voice headcanon to be like Tyler, the Creators. Very deep like Wesker’s crooning voice, however lacking the posh sound, being a much more rougher and juvenile tone.

• Just as smart as Alvina, was going to pursue Comp-Sci prior to film but decided against it last minute as he believed he would regret his decision of passing up pursuing a passion he loved. Also he’s just a huge burn-out and doesn’t like to work. Bare minimum kind of guy.

• MBTI is INFP, however I think he’s an Ambivert. When he’s with fellow introverts he becomes the extrovert of the group and vice versa.

im so happy other people have the headcanon of “qsmp eggs look like their parents + start looking like the people they hang most around” because i’ve had that idea since like. day one of the eggs lmao

i’ve only drawn dapper, but! i have many design ideas that i wanna write out (bc i might forget them lol), if you have any questions, feel free to ask them, I love talking about my designs, they are weird and silly and i love them all, i promise i will not be upset if you ask something i will instead by very happy

first, each egg started off basically as a blank slate (this is all with human designs in mind), just whatever is their defining detail but also pure white clothes, white hair, etc. but the more they hang around their parent(s), they go through a transformation and then look like their parent(s), typically after an emotional/impactful moment, like how pokemon evolve in the anime

second, to be more specific, every egg has different “Styles” that match each of their parents, as well as a few having mixes of parents (the beginning 8 [except Tilin and Dapper] and Richas w/ TazerCraft) called Duo Styles. All these Styles represent and resemble their parents in some way. 

Still, these Styles can change over time, fading when a parent is absent, or warping to fit the people (not their parents) that are around them the most. This came from the idea that BBH takes care of a lot of the eggs very often, even being referred to as another parent. but what if he hangs around them so much they start to look like him,,, as an example, now that Tallulah sees Phil as her father figure and wants him to refer to her as his daughter, she technically has two Styles, Wilbur and Phil, but since Bad takes care of her so often, tiny details start to change. most obvious, her eyes are becoming lighter, like Bad’s pure white eyes, as well as the tips of her fingers and fingernails creepily starting to turn into the charcoal black that Bad’s skin is. 

Warping to Styles can be stopped if the egg accepts the person as their parent, in that case, a new Style would be made, and the previous Styles revert to being not affected. 

Negative relationships with eggs or even between egg partners will reflect in the egg’s Style, for example, Mariana and Slime’s... thing they had going on? It showed in JuanaFlippas Duo Style

this is gonna be an entire essay, i’m sorry, but now its full on ramble time of each egg, some things will be vague, i’m just too lazy to try and describe it fully, while others i have more specific ideas that i wanna talk about ok lets get on with this mess:

Bobby - Since he had such a close, positive relationship with both parents, Bobby has fully defined Styles of Jaiden and Roier, both having full patterns and even a bit of color in his hair. He also has a Duo Style, again, very developed, comfy, and stylish. As for any particular warping, he wore fingerless gloves (Cellbit), had yellow and green accents in his clothing (Mariana and Slime), and had slightly light eyes but nearly had his hands fully black (BBH)

Chayanne - Fully defined Style of Philza, even to the point of having small crown shaped arm bands from his stories of Techno. As for Missa, his Style is less defined from not being around very often, but still very Missa, lots of bones and purples/blues. His Duo Style is more leaning towards Phil, but noticeably different from Phil’s Style. His clothing has soft yellow accents (Wilbur), a leather holster for his sword and one shoulder pad (Fit), and lately, his eyes are pure white (Missa Style already had pretty light colored eyes, but they’re now pure white from Bad)

Dapper - He’s basically Bad’s mini self, I’ve already made a design for him a while back, but it needs to be updated. After Baghera, he now has a second style! Lots of soft, fluffy colors and textures. Owns a pair of sunglasses that he wears every now and then (Max), has some brown accents in his clothing and a dark grey glove on his left hand (Fit), horns have bright yellow tips, his shoes have purple accents, and his hair is braided back in Baghera’s Style (Forever), and his clothes have gold and diamond details (Foolish and Skeppy respectively)

JuanaFlippa - With Slime’s Style, the ends of her limbs and hair were slime-like and green, and even had one of the slime creatures (?) that Slime has on his head and shoulder. Mariana’s Style wasn’t as defined, but still had the same colors and generally shapes. Her Duo Style was messy and vague, kinda like if you took the two main Styles and mushed them together, instead of being a third new one.

Leo - Very defined Styles of Foolish, Vegetta, and Duo. Foolish’s Style has many gold and emerald details, and is comfortable to even swim in (because shark). Vegetta’s Style resembles Trunks/Bulla from Dragon Ball because haha funny. While not being a parental figure, Leo does have a Roier Style, with heavy details of Cellbit. They have semi-red horns (Bad), black accents in their clothes (Bad and Max), and fingerless gloves (Cellbit)

Ramon - Duo and Spreen Style has nearly fully faded, but Fit’s Style, similar to Bad and Dapper, is very much like Fit himself. Lot’s of warping from Bad, charcoal skin goes up past his knees and elbows, horns are almost fully red, and eyes are also nearly fully white. He wears fingerless gloves and has a white streak in his hair (White streak earlier resembled Spreen, but is now closer to Cellbit’s hair)

Tilin - Never formed a Luzu or Duo Style, and his Quackity style barely resembled Quackity. Bright purple eyes and accents in clothing (Jaiden), bright red accents and spider web details (Roier), red/white shoes and green under shirt (Slimcicle)

Trumpet - Dan and Duo Styles vaguely resemble Dan at all, but it was still noticeable. On the other hand, Maximus’ Style was very defined. Had pure white eyes and red horns (Bad)

Tallulah - Again, Wilbur’s Style resembles Wilbur exactly, even after all this time. She doesn’t use his Style since he left, but it’s still exactly how it was since then (aside from warping). She had HEAVY warping from Phil, but since asking him to refer to her as his daughter, she now has a Philza Style. She has a lot of colors in her clothing, im gonna have fun designing her (i say, through gritted teeth) Her hair is now a lighter brown, nearly a dirty blond, and is braided back (Forever), eyes are fully white, hands are becoming that pure black, and she has many black accents in her clothing (Bad), a white streak in her hair and some dark brown accents in clothing (Cellbit), previously had dark brown eyes, still has light brown/blue accents (Fit), previously had dark blue accents(Quackity, not anymore tho), and her horns are purple (Jaiden). I’m gonna regret doing this once I get to drawing her design but its ok i’ll survive. maybe.

Richarlyson - Style for all five parents, Felps is the least defined but still there, and TazerCraft does have a Duo Style. He also has a Quackity Style, but that has been slowly fading since the arrival of El Quackity. Red horns and black accents (Bad), yellow accents (Baghera), and a few emerald details (Foolish)

Pomme - Has five Styles, but Kameto’s is basically just a dark blue dress since he was barely there, all others are very defined. Consistently has bright blond hair in all Styles (Forever), red accents in clothing (Forever and Bad), and has some black accents (Bad)

Okay, time to ramble a little about q!Roier [from my own point of view]:

To me, q!Roier seems like the "I have to be fine so I can help everybody else to be fine" kind of guy.

He has experienced tragedies, suffered betrayals and suffered losses, he knows how important it is to have someone by your side when dealing with pain, so if anyone needs him, he will most likely be there.

After losing Bobby he found happiness in his new family formed by q!Cellbit and Richas, although we must not forget the importance of his relationship with other islanders [like Leo, q!Foolish, q!Jaiden...] and after a while, it seemed like he was finally moving forward with his life again...

But now? With the disappearance of the eggs and all the Federation stuff, the mental stability of the islanders [or some of them] deteriorates little by little and his is no exception. He's tired, he's sad, he doesn't look very good/healty but he doesn't want to show it, he needs help but he doesn't want to ask for it because how could he?

How could he ask someone else for help when everyone is dealing with their own stuff? Not only that but how could he ask for help from people he doesn't even trust enough to confide in with his problems and feelings to that extent?

And don't get me wrong, he trusts his husband, he really does, but he knows q!Cellbit still going through Richarlyson's disappearance and he knows how hard it is to lose a child [he already went through that].

In recent days, he has been constantly watching his husband suffering because of it and investigating day and night looking for clues and much more, he can see how tired q! Cellbit is, he can see his husband is not okay...

So how could he add more weight to q!Cellbit's shoulders by making him worry about him too?

And if those silly jokes also help to bring out a smile to his husband's face [or the face of whoever is with him acutally], that's more than enough for him [no matter how small the smile is].

Also, although it may not seem like it at first glance, I think he is a very empathetic person [or cube].

Maybe you believe me or maybe you don't, but I'll explain it anyway. Let's take a look at the next example...

When q!Bagi told him everything about the twin stuff [my apologies, I suck at explaining lore], she let him know how worried she was about her relationship with q!Cellbit, how worried she is about him, just like how much it terrified her that he wouldn't even want to look at her after discovering that they were siblings.

After that he asked her "do you want me to talk to him?" and she answered "yes please".

But here's the thing, he knew there was probably a reason why his husband hadn't told him anything, like he probably wasn't ready to do it. But he was so sure that q!Cellbit would tell him eventually without the need to pressure him he decided to bring that up himself.

He couldn't just minimize Bagi's feelings. No, he was respectful and careful with his words, deciding to tell her what she needed to hear to have some peace of mind "He is not mad at you, I will help you, at the end of the day you two are sibligs and that's never going to change and you have to love each other, next time I see him I'll talk to him" [Paraphrased] And then finish with "Everything is going to be okay and if it's not okay, it will be" [when he said that, part of me thinks he was also saying that to himself].

When he finally talked to q!Cellbit he never pressured him to speak, he let him do it at his own pace. He only mentioned what q!Bagi had told him until q!Cellbit started talking about his past [and fulfilled what he promised q!Bagi in the process].

Also, the way he worried about those two's relationship shows how much he cares about the state of his new family and obviously also shows how much he cares about his husband. In a way, he was their support throughout the entire process.

He knows how hard and painful it is to drown in loneliness and he doesn't want q!Cellbit to suffer anymore either.

Am I overthinking? Of course I am, I always I'm.

to be fair, I don't think qroier not trusting qbad is particularly new haha. i think it's been going on for a while even before purgatory. the only thing purgatory did with that particularly relationship is it gave qroier an excuse to be more vocal in his annoyance

I agree with the read that Roier didn’t particularly trust Bad before, but I think that at a baseline, Roier doesn’t have much trust with most anyone to begin with. I think everything that had happened with Spreen back in the beginning of the server is something that is a large cause in that, because its still something he is suffering from months later - it’s just in true Roier fashion, it’s something he doesn’t really talk about to others. He’s only recently shared it and talked about it with Cellbit.

But even then, he had a respect for Bad. When the eggs first went missing, and they were both visibly affected by the stress, they had moments of somewhat acknowledging the other, but sticking to the script of “oh I’m fine” yknow what I mean? And before purgatory, yeah, there was no doubt that Bad cared for the eggs, and could be trusted in that regard.

But post Purgatory, I think that baseline trust has been shaken. He doesn’t let Bad see Pepito when he visited the castle, makes excuses for him to leave, and then afterwards talks to himself about how he’s angry that everyone seems to have forgotten Purgatory (both in the context that he also doesn’t trust Pepito, and he doesn’t want Bad coming up to him as if the past two weeks didn’t happen). When Leo wakes up, and Bad is around trying to talk with them, he makes a point of pulling her away. Of putting himself between Leo and Bad. And it’s in the subtle, usual jesting way he’s done before with Bad (“you can only drink lava once yknow. sure, try it, I’m not going though!” and “stranger danger Leo, stranger danger!” etc etc. said with enough dramatics it keeps it lighthearted, because that’s what Roier does).

I don’t think Roier is actively thinking he should mistrust Bad with the eggs specifically. I don’t think that he thinks Bad doesn’t care about the eggs. I just think he hasn’t fully trusted Bad before, and now since Purgatory he doesn’t trust him at all, for good reason - Bad was very much an instigator and a cause for both his own torment and his family’s (Jaiden namely, what with the spawn killing, and Cellbit, Foolish). It’s no longer a ‘this guy is a thorn in my side and I don’t trust him’ kinda petty drama between islanders. It’s a ‘this guy went back on the deal to keep the score 50/50 and did so under the impression we as the losing team could die’ kind of situation. A ‘we spent the past few weeks in hell and this guy repeatedly not only killed, but went over the top in tormenting my family and myself, I don’t trust him’ kind of situation. It’s not an excuse to be petty or properly annoyed, it’s a result of how Bad burned all his bridges in purgatory. It’s in large part a trauma response.

It doesn’t matter that Bad has never once been a threat to Leo, that he’s taken care of her multiple times, that he has always checked in with the eggs and cared for them - it matters that Leo is his sister, that Pepito is under his care, and he Does Not Trust Bad.

okay i'm not done talking about this. i want to highlight again the all stars couples from previous seasons and what direction they seem to be heading in (and why i think it's a good narrative choice)

jaiden:

they had a whole arc throughout their season with loads of conflict. it went back and forth a little bit, but in a way that made sense for the characters, and it felt like it resolved really nicely by the end.

because of that, it would be really disappointing if they just brought the conflict back now that they're on a new season. they put in the work on the show and all signs pointed to strong, healthy relationship when they left off (having already had the experience of working through problems).

and so far, that's exactly what they are. the drama of the past season is resolved, they're still super close, and the conflict now is not within their relationship, but who they are outside of it. first with being on different teams, and now with james being out so early.

i really really like that james immediately shut jake down with the accusations of cheating. it was very much an opportunity to reintroduce relationship conflict, but the show said "no, they're happy together."

i also like the choice to have james leave and aiden stay: first, james is a stronger competitor (explicitly why he got to go for the win in s2), second because aiden is less confident about being on his own and we get to see that, and third because of what's going on with tom/jake

i think at this point jaiden seems super solid and it doesn't look like they're planning to change that. which they shouldn't, these guys have had their drama and deserve to be happy.

they also had a lot of back and forth in their season, but the key difference is that nothing was really ever fully resolved? there were mini resolutions, where they agreed to communicate better (and then failed immediately) but it didn't have the finality of "we've worked through the misunderstandings and are stronger for it" that jaiden had.

like, their issue has always been being Terrible at communication. tom because of the secretiveness of his spy background, and jake because of his gullibility and tendency to jump to the worst conclusions. so the fact that their plot this season seems to be Bad Communication turned up to 11 is perfectly in line with what we've seen before.

it's also a nice contrast to jaiden- they both have the "on separate teams" problem, but while jaiden have the trust and strength in their relationship to handle it, jake's insecurities cause him to fall back on old patterns with almost no prompting at all (and tom's not entirely innocent here either- i fully believe his friendship with aiden is just friendship and there's nothing wrong with that, but his avoidance of jake is absolutely feeding the problem and he should know that)

based on s1, it really doesn't seem like they'll make the relationship work unless some major conflict forces them to actually deal with their problems (and then they have to Actually deal with them), so i'm expecting it to get worse before it gets better. they both need to grow as people before the relationship can work, and until then they can suffer.

(also: removing miriam from the picture by putting her on the third team is key- she's the voice of reason for jake that he desperately needs, so taking that away rapidly accelerates the Problems)

hunterally

they're kind of an in-between case. we saw a little bit of conflict on the show, but they didn't actually get together until the very end (counting them resolving their friendship problems in the finale) or after (start of the actual relationship). so we haven't actually gotten to see how they work as a couple.

similar to miriam, tess seems like she is a key part of keeping the relationship together (given that the problems seem to have started after she left, and she seems to be the most chill and rational at this point), so distancing her is good for seeing how the relationship plays out.

as far as hunter and ally's conflict, it's interesting how it follows from their characters in s2. hunter seems like more of a jerk, but not in an ooc way- literally the first thing we learn about him is he's not big on socializing, so it's not surprising that he might not put much effort into a relationship. meanwhile ally always seemed a bit more invested in their relationship on the show (partly because she had a crush on him), so it tracks that she could be putting more into the relationship and get frustrated with him when he didn't.

like from what little we've seen so far, the conflict they're having feels very realistic for "we became friends on a reality tv show and started a relationship after"- they don't really know each other that well by the end, and they might not be as compatible as they thought (and regardless, need to work to make the relationship succeed)

also, another note on tess: while i am a little disappointed that it's not the poly throuple i expected, i don't hate it. tess's relationship to the other two was more "the first people to try to help her out of a very dark place" which can be romantic (and especially at first is likely to feel that way) but it doesn't have to be. i would be very disappointed if they weren't still friends, but that's not the case.

i also think there's a possibility that the resolution is their relationship doesn't work without tess. i don't know if this is the direction they'll take (and i don't need it) but i think it'd be super cool if it ends in a poly relationship that isn't romantic on tess's end but is no less important (possibly more important).

shoutout to these two. i don't have much to say, mostly because their relationship has never been the source of drama in the same way as the other three.

i do like how they've almost kind of switched roles since s1? at the start of s1 everyone hated gabby, and ellie wasn't super popular but liked well-enough. now ellie's the one everyone hates and gabby's still not the favorite but is doing fine.

i think they're really cute together and i love how they support each other. and it's really nice to have a relationship that's almost fully outside of the drama of the show, like it's formed in response to individual drama (ellie being the only person to stand up for gabby) and it affects the drama (gabby saving ellie even though it could (and did) cost her a chance at immunity later on) but it's not dramatic itself. i hope that lasts.

as for other couples: i have some thoughts on connoriya but they're kind of separate from this. yulgrett is new this season so that's also a different thing. there isn't really anything to say about ashwill given that he was out first and didn't return. and i think that's it for all star couples so far.

QSMP Quackity Swap AU - Guapoduo

I mentioned once that El was very close with Guapoduo but I never went into detail with it.

For those that don't know, this is my swap au with Quackity and El Quackity where Elq was the OG

Elq was close with Roier from the very start of the server, and he was one of the very few people that Elq would go out of his way to spend time with/around without it involving some grand scheme. Roier enjoyed his company and how he never failed to darken up a room with only a few words or even a glance at someone. Elq thought Roier was fun and he liked having someone that just took him at face value and didn't call him emo (Shut up, MISSA-)

Elq had a tendency to make a lot of jokes about getting with Roier but Elq jokes in a very...deadpan and non-romantic way so it just came out as "[Scowling] I can't believe I married you." which Roier found hilarious but could never tell if it was flirting or jokes. If questioned on this, Elq would pretend they questioned him about something else.

Elq was the defacto babysitter of Bobby to the point where Bobby and Tilin were like siblings. He was a...odd man and honestly probably not the best babysitter, but he once took several arrows in a row without wearing armor to make sure Bobby (Who was fully decked out in armor and had a totem) didn't get hit so he was alright in Jaiden and Roier's book of who to let babysit. Elq was close to Roier to the point where multiple people on the island genuinely couldn't tell if they were dating or not (Roier had no idea either, but he was leaning towards 'No'.) (Elq acts like the question was dumb and refuses to answer).

Cellbit made things interesting because he was extremely close with him from the SECOND that he met the man, it barely took any time at all. They bonded over puzzles, scheming, and mysteries when they first met and would grow to bond over their natural lack of compassion and empathy for others (Both of them have very low empathy and have selective compassion).

Cellbit thought that Elq was fascinating and made for an amazing debate partner. Elq thought Cellbit was so interesting, he was entralled by him completely.

He had a...weird relationship with Richas that consisted of both of them threatening the other constantly but jumping to their defense the second anyone else slanders them. Richas has stabbed multiple people for making fun of Elq. He still becomes 1% of Richas's parent in this au but neither of them tend to acknowledge it to each others faces. Behind each other's backs, they'll be like "Well, MY dad could trick your dad into signing away his soul!" or "MY son is so much better than your kid. What can your kid do that mine can't do better?" Cellbit finds it adorable and loves watching the two bicker.

Elq, after knowing Cellbit for some time, does the same flirting joke thing that he does with Roier (and while it flusters Cellbit a lot more than it does Roier), and it confuses the shit out of poor Cellbit. He tried to ask the other members, but they had no answers. Neither did Roier but he found the whole thing funny from the start so it was unlikely he'd be much help either way.

Once Roier and Cellbit started dating, they both thought Elq would either get jealous of one of them or stop with the jokes (Maybe do a mock assassination attempt if he was especially pouty). They did not account for him acting as if absolutely nothing changed. The only thing that changed with his banter/jokes/flirting was that he would speak as if all 3 of them were in a relationship. It confused them so bad that they'd occasionally forget that they weren't actually dating Elq (At least, they thought so).

Elq basically lived in the castle with them for fucks sake, it was a really confusing situation that no one except Elq understood (and god knows he wasn't willing to explain).

i already kinda went over that in this post here, but since you mentioned roier specifically i'll go with how i think they'd interact

despite having different types of humor, i can definitely see them getting along well, with neither of them able to give up the bit (since jacob's sense of humor has turned more sincere recently while roier's is a lot of silly goofy stuff). considering the situation they both find themself in, too (roier's co-parent gone missing + jacob looking for her) they'd find comfort in knowing that both pre and post disappearance, jaiden was loved and cared about. roier also trusts jacob because of how much time he spends with cellbit, since he trusts cellbit with his life and he knows jacob wouldnt pull shit (he's aro just like jaiden)

speaking of that whole family, i might've mentioned it before but jacob would absolutely be a babysitter for richarlyson. he'd think it was so weird how the eggs work (they are literally big eggs with stick legs) but would still be so charmed and a little honored when entrusted with richas' safety. they end up sorta getting adopted into this family and by the end of it, roier, cellbit & richas won't be as important to him as jaiden, but they'll be very high up on the list

i want to explore the concept of jacob's relationship with them a bit deeper but i feel like my ideas would come across Kinda Weird and since people on the internet are nuts about mcyt i'm not gonna go into it, but tldr qpp polycule. yk

The Ordo is QIU's student body's worst-kept secret.

Everybody Quesadilla Island University knows that the University has two chess clubs - the QIU Chess Federation and the Ordo Bellitas.

You wouldn't think that there'd be two of them. Really, just one should be enough. No one really knows how there ended up being two of them anyway, but it's not like the Ordo is an officially endorsed one. The Ordo Bellitas isn't an officially endorsed QIU club, which honestly makes the whole situation even funnier. And the situation being hilarious? Well, that's the reason why people even pay attention to the two clubs in the first place!

Because, really. Being peripherally aware of your school's chess club is one thing, but being aware of your school's chess club is a whole other. No one really cared about the Federation before the Ordo appeared. No one really cared about the Ordo before the Federation did. So really, this whole situation is the Federation's own fault, no matter how much the members complain and gripe about it.

From an outsider's point of view, as most students at the University are, the whole situation is hilarious.

Really! What's with the Federation being so threatened by the existence of a group of friends playing chess? The founders of the Ordo - well. That's what they really were at first, weren't they? Just a group of friends playing chess together, teaching other friends how to play chess together. It's the Federation's push that made them into a symbol.

It's almost sad how the Federation reacts. Like, come on! A group of friends playing chess together without being in your club shouldn't be a reason to declare war.

But that's what happens.

News of the Federation and the Ordo tends to be the talking point of the week. Several buildings are almost burnt. They run smear campaigns on each other.

QIU Chess Federation is run by the most straight-laced, clean-cut, stereotypical competitive chess players there are and almost all of them look the part. They're not really friends, more of a group of people working towards the common goal of dominating tournaments.

Ordo Bellitas, on the other hand, is chaos.

The Ordo's "Captain" Cellbit very dramatically "infiltrates" the Federation after his best friend Felps joins the Federation. Ordo "Captain" Cellbit also gets unofficially kicked out of the Federation after 3 days. He's still registered as a club member though, because that's out of the Federation's and Cellbit's control. Paperwork. He also has only slept for 8 hours in the past 4 days.

The Ordo's "Captain"'s boyfriend Roier does not know how to play chess. Still, he's very supportive of his boyfriend's shenanigans. He's also friends with this guy in the Federation. It's not a point of contention in their relationship because Cellbit doesn't know. Also because Osito and him had a bit of a falling out earlier on in the term and they don't talk anymore. He dressed up in drag and did pole dancing during one of the Ordo meetups.

The Ordo's "Captain"'s boyfriend's best friend Jaiden plays chess sometimes. Casually. She holds a membership for the Federation and shows up sometimes. She also has a standing open invite to the Ordo from her best friend's boyfriend. (Cellbit asks her to help spy on the Federation. Her other friend Cucurucho asks her to help spy on the Ordo.) She has tattoos and her sleeves are ripped and no one expects her to know how to play.

Ordo co-founder Foolish joins the Federation so that he can get sponsored by the school to partake in tournaments. It was fine for a while, then he beat Ordo members Pac and Mike consecutively in a tournament. Fellow co-founder and long-time competitor/rival Bad declared this an act of betrayal and exiled him from the Ordo. Jaiden still invites him to play sometimes, when no one is in the room. He once replaced an entire set with chocolate and ate the pieces when they were captured just to freak out his opponent (Bad).

And that's just four of them.

"Ordo Bellitas is full of drama kids and QIU Chess Federation is petty," someone comments, aptly summing up the entire situation.

Their friends laugh and they go back to watching Cellbit yell at Cucurucho over a chess board. Cucurucho smiles like the cat that got the cream. Cellbit rages.

QIU would not be the same without them.

I'm back, and I've been thinking about the A.U. nonstop for the last day and a half. So. Further thoughts that nobody asked for that may or may not contradict your original statements, OP, but I needed to get these out into the world.

(under the cut because this is really, really long for a Tumblr post)

I'm kind of imagining this like a version of Quesadilla Island more heavily populated/spread apart (to explain the whole Bolas Rojas not knowing if their friends/family are alive, and trying to find them anyway). Maybe four major areas? One where Bolas found each other (imagine U.S. Midwest/East coast suburbia), one where the Green Gay Ninjas banded together, one where Soulfire found each other, and one that is the 'Capital' where the Federation resides. Alternate Universe in the truest sense of the word, separate from the established beginnings of Quesadilla Island.

When apocalypse strikes, people that only sort of knew each other (i.e. Carre and Jaiden, who only saw each other in passing on commute to work) end up clinging to each other with the desperation of someone facing imminent death (because that's exactly what's going on). They're separated from the people that they love and their family, with no way of being 100% certain that they'll get their family back.

Bolas Rojas would be that group that's formed through blood and tears, and exactly like you said, they are dead set on finding their family and loved ones again. I specifically think that Jaiden and Cellbit trying to figure out what happened with Roier after the nuclear weapons dropped and get in contact with him again would be really interesting.

There's a major missing persons issue, where after the 'apocalypse' people just went missing, and never turned up again. It's not entirely addressed, but it's definitely present. Two major victims of this are DanTDM (who is just. never found.) and Quackity, who does end up turning up again some time through the timeline.

Radiation poisoning! Really, the effects of the use of nuclear weapons in general. For survival, the residents would have either had to have a past in the military/nuclear studies/settings or be paranoid enough that they know how to survive that kind of thing. They would have all had to be rather far away from ground zero, but in an area where they can get to cover underground quickly (parking garages, cave systems, basements, etc). Buildings made of brick or cement would have also been useful. Depending on how far away they were from ground zero, it likely would have taken some time to regroup and get back into the (now irradiated) world. However, I think that radiation would have to remain a constant worry. Members of these three groups would have to have at least one person experienced with nuclear weaponry/radiation in order for them to traverse the world safely.

Investigating romantic relationships would be really interesting in this. Considering that this is literally the apocalypse, and imagining Quesadilla island is spread much further apart, it would be a very major effort trying to get couples back together again. And you wouldn't even know if they were still alive.

Let's follow canon that Max died, I think that it would be interesting having Tubbo have above average knowledge when it comes to nuclear weapons. This is mainly due to his involvement in Project Dreamcatcher in the DSMP, but also due to just how much he works with mechanics and engineering in the QSMP.

Green Gay Ninjas and Soulfire have at least some hostility towards each other when they originally meet, due to their differing ideals. Soulfire is dead set on fixing the world, while Green Gay Ninjas has basically accepted that it is unlivable.

Most of the eggs go missing after the bombs drop, for *plot purposes*. But really, I think that this would be a major plot device in this world. The survivors had the brain or luck to be tucked away when the nuclear weapons hit, but when they got back out into the world, their children or the people they considered their children were gone. (emphasis on fostering?)

Everyone is kind of an edge. Soulfire tends to act more carefree/careless, Bolas is more manic, and Green Gay Ninjas unhinged, but still mildly composed.

Basically City of Ember vibes, if you've ever read that.

Other Assorted Ideas that aren't Really Composed Enough to get a Bullet Point on the Main List:

Purgatory Two guest members are just kind of chilling throughout. The former teams will have banded together, and just kind of work to survive, occasionally assisting the main three throughout.

Those found underground in the Federation's facility (IronMouse, Lenay, Nihachu, TinaKitten, Tubbo, Carre, German, PolisPol, Rivers, and WillyRex) as well as those canonically involved with the Federation (Bagi, to my knowledge) as well as Baghera and Jaiden are involved with the Federation in this, who are the cause of said nuclear devastation. ElQuackity is involved in the Federation, obviously, as is Forever?

I'm messing around with the idea of a sort of cyberpunk code thing? Like, holographic, sentient A.I. as some of the characters (IronMouse, Luzu/Arin, WillyRex, and possibly Wilbur) that the teams have to be certain to preserve (because they're still people, in a sense).

Basically the Federation is connected to the nuclear catastrophe in some way, shape, or form. Whether it gets addressed or not.

And. Um. Yeah. This idea possessed me for the last couple of days, and these ramblings are heavily, heavily inspired by the song 'Save Yourself' by Stabbing Westward. I just thought it fit.

I genuinely haven't stopped thinking about this for absolute ages.

AU TIME BC BRAIN GOES BRR

Nuclear fallout au (I have never seen nor played anything fallout btw I just saw gas mask and I blacked out) in which team bolas are survivors trying to make it out in this shit life. They stick to eachother bc there are barely any chance of reuniting with their other connections. That doesnt mean it'll stop them to try.

Soulfire is a team of engineers and a scientist going around adopting valuable people with their number one goal being to reintroduce electricity and technical advancement to the world again. After all, humanity hasnt been completely doomed, right?

GG Ninjas are the brave fighters who does their best to make extinguish every hostile mutants within their boundaries before moving to further cities. Because in their mind, if the world is going to die out, they might as well make it as clean as possible for the next generation of plants and whatever the fuck to thrive

Pops was a simple man. But his feelings about that day were anything but simplistic. Pops' soul was a storm of emotions, happy, melancholic, and bittersweet, because not only had he given his daughter away to be married, but he was also gaining a son whom he loved dearly.

His eyes met with Mia's from across the room. She smiled at him, but as he refocused on her, he saw the little girl that loved to play dress up in Mommy's clothes and makeup.

Clearing his throat, Pops began to recite the poem. His confident voice was already shaky as he gazed across the room at his little MJ, his eyes already beginning to tear up.

"Dear World,

I bequeath to you today one little girl… in a crispy dress...with two brown eyes… and a happy  laugh that ripples all day long...and a flash of black hair that bounces in the sun  when she runs. I trust you'll treat her well."

He never knew the person who would completely change his whole entire world, his heart  was a little bouncing baby girl that weighed seven pounds and twelve ounces when she was born.

When he found out Gloria was pregnant Kelvin wanted a boy. That's all he thought about. Someone to play ball with, and fish with. He got the shock of his life when he heard those three words. It's a girl.

Mia was born a week before Christmas.  Gloria went into labor while they were at a Christmas party neither one wanted to attend. Labor was a fitting excuse for the pair to leave early. The one time in Mia’s life she showed up early. 

Gloria’s due date was Christmas Day.

When he first saw Mia's big brown inquisitive eyes, he knew she would be special. And Mia was, and she was the light of his world.

Mia’s first word was Pop.  The reason everyone called Kelvin “Pops”  was because of Mia.  When Mia started talking she said it repeatedly.  

Mia was definitely a Daddy’s girl. Mia took her very first steps following behind Pops.  He wanted his little MJ to stop growing.  

“Prim and proud she’ll wave her young and independent hand this morning and say “Good bye” and walk with little lady steps into the school house.”

It was  Pops that cried the first day of school when he waited with her at the bus stop.  They had always had a very special close relationship.

Just a little au where Baghera is studying to be a fashion designer and for her final project she has to organize a fashion show in which she would have to present a line of clothing for men and one for women.

She needed three male models and three female models, so her first option was to ask her friends.

BadBoyHalo was her classmate and he had his own show to worry about, Forever was going to model for Bad along with Pac and Fit [This slowburn started burning a while ago but it's going very slow so Bad and Forever wanted to give them an excuse to spend more time together and make it progress faster], Mike was going to be in charge of helping with the stage and decorations and Felps was traveling so she couldn't ask any of them.

She asked her roommates Etoiles and Charlie and while Charlie said he would gladly accept, Etoiles said no, but not because he didn't want to help but because that really wasn't his thing, he didn't think he could do a good job as a model and he didn't want to ruin the final project of one of his best friends but promised to help her with anything else, like finding cool locations for the show and photoshoots and help her get money to finance everything since he was more of the adventurous type who can't sit still.

Then she asked Cellbit, he hesitated at first but accepted just because he wanted to help Baghera, Cellbit also convinced his sister/twin Bagi to help.

Etoiles asked his friends [Foolish, Tina and Roier] if any of them would like to be a model for a day.

Foolish couldn't because he had a lot of projects to finish before the end of the semester, Tina said she wasn't sure because she was almost in the same situation as Foolish [although she was tempted by the idea so she wanted to think about it] but Roier said he would like to try it.

Roier and Cellbit meet when Baghera calls all her models to take measurements to make the clothes.

Cellbit was charmed by Roier's playful and flirtatious personality while Roier enjoyed teasing Cellbit, Roier thought it was cute how Cellbit let go of his mysterious and serious side every time he got nervous by his flirting or felt more comfortable with whoever he was talking to.

Roier also liked to listen to Cellbit talk about riddles, mystery and horror novels although he knew he wouldn't care much about those topics.

Tina accompanied Roier only to talk to Baghera to tell her that she could be a model but probably couldn't go to all the rehearsals and dress fittings.

But that's when she met Bagi, they were both attracted to each other since their first conversation and from then on they took advantage of any excuse to spend time together [Bagi offers to help her with her projects and Tina agrees to be a full time model for Baghera for example].

The last female model would be Jaiden who is convinced by her roomate Roier to do it, being the last member of my platonic quartet [Jaiden, Baghera, Foolish and Etoiles] who, among other things, helped each other, talked and gossiped about life, the relationships that were forming around them and debated if they could do something to make them progress 👍

It might also be fun to add that Charlie and elMariana meet at one of the show's rehearsals because Mariana was there to tease Roier but got distracted by Charlie.

Honey I’m Home

Religious imagery and familial rejection and abuse ahoy! I’ve already doodled Scriabin with a moth chained to his hand (and Moth Edgar lol), but he obviously suits the spider just as well. The droning repetition suits Edgar too, especially since it’s centered around repression of thoughts and wants. That vivisection could be a lot of things, “Done by God for all to see” makes me tempted to pin it to Scriabin and Edgar’s separation.

Final Chapter

I mentioned briefly in my first set of tags that I liked this song for juuuust After Scriabin gets his own body. “For a second let’s forget and pretend” feels very much like how they want to act, they want to have what they had even though they never can again - “Never thought we’d come to an end” is the first line! Wanting to hold each other, like nothing happened; especially Edgar, but Scriabin too. I think it could pair well with You Can’t Live Like This as well, they’re trying so hard not to turn that page!

Empty

Like I said the first time I mentioned this song, I’m still a little conflicted including such a personal song, but there are so many weirdly appropriate lines that it feels unavoidable to add it to my list. Since it talks about a voice arriving, it lines up almost perfectly with their relationship before they started being weird about each other, terribly hate filled. “Fill up on water and shame” and “Convince myself I’m in control and it’s not all the voice that makes me sick” especially stick out to me, as well as “empty” as a theme, Edgar’s mindscape is so blank! (Also if you watch the behind the scenes, there’s red yarn which is weird :0)

Beauty and the Beast

Well that’s a bit obvious, isn’t it lol. I only really started to consider it because of the minor key though, the way the tone twists and shifts with the new notes and mixing, ah it’s lovely. I especially like the way “Barely even friends, then somebody bends unexpectedly” hits, they’re always surprising each other! Bittersweet and strange indeed.

I want you to want me

Yet more minor key covers, yay. I was originally going to tie this one to mainfic, most specifically Edgar’s desire to get home from work to see Scriabin heh, but now there’s some interesting new layers with Manual Override, especially Scriabin trying to convince Edgar and himself. Scriabin is Scriabin no matter what though, so he’s always going to push for what he wants, in every context!

Toxic

A bit on the nose perhaps ♪ I think my mind was wandering while I was thinking about Once Again and it landed just long enough on this song to desperately want to give it a relisten, and whoops ♪ For whatever reason, Edgar drinking from “the Devil’s cup” really stood out as a strong image to me, either from his visit to Hell or redirecting those feelings onto Scriabin. Somehow this version really gives the vibe of them fully permeating each other, hateful and desiring and hard to pick apart.

The Devil’s Backbone

On recommendation, I have indeed added this one to my personal playlist! I was surprised, I’m usually so picky with my music but I could not stop listening to it. It fits Edgar/Nny so well! That said, I can see Scriabin stealing a line as well now, “Somewhere between a hangman’s knot and three mouths to feed” with Edgar’s new life situation of Nny’s threat of death and living with Scriabin and Todd. The bridge is still completely Edgar tho, that absolute desperation is so good.

Stand By You

Ngl, I almost cried listening and recontextualizing this one, the line “If your wings are broken, borrow mine so yours can open” just- agh. Also they never got to walk through Hell together so it only half works but I’ll take it! Probably especially relevant to the final chapter of You Can’t Live Like This, their little discussion sitting on the floor, pledging their lives to each other again fdjsalkfdsf

Monster

I can’t but imagine a bouncy Scriabin gloating about how he was made, “Feed me your negativity, talk some more about me ♪” Too bad it’s Monster rather than Demon eh! “I see how you’re going crazy, always thinkin’ ‘bout me” works rather well too, there’s a lot of lines that suit him! He’s so insufferable haha. The bridge is quite good too, “It could’ve been so different between us, then you went and messed everything up.” He’s always blaming Edgar!

Kitchen Fork

I’ve wanted something of Jack Conte’s for a while now, there’s so much chaotic energy in all his songs. I feel like this one and Bloody Nose both really suit Violation, there’s a really lovely disjointed energy, though I think Kitchen Fork works more generally. “Wake from the scar” and “Save us from our own two heads” are both really great lines for Edgar especially, and the rising violins are so unnerving.

The Mind Electric

I drew to this one quite early but it wasn’t until I started thinking about it a bit harder that I realized just how well it works, especially with Diaryfic/Hospitalfic. Much like with Stay, I can imagine this one working well as an animatic, it’s all very evocative of imagery. Would Scriabin be the “Lord” or would the doctors? Hmm. “Doctor, I can’t tell if I’m not me” continues to be a great line for both of them.

Manipulate

Nate needs to stop with making literally every song so adaptable, I can’t keep giving away my heart like this. Another song that switches POV from verse to verse, starting with Edgar and then with Scriabin: “Find somebody else to call your home.” “You stab me in the back and then you make demands! You say it’s only you? I got another plan.” “Maybe you could torture someone else.” “Maybe I don’t have the strength to follow you Hell.” I cry okay. I can’t just list all the lyrics, they’re all too good.

Hey hey hey! I’ve been a fan/reader for quite a while, perhaps a little over a year now? I just want to say I love your writing! I also, perhaps strangely, find myself quite entranced with some your female characters, even if they obviously aren’t the main focus of your fics lol. In particular, Astell, Morgana, Shun Ha, and Emmanuel’s mom all seem like very powerful women and that’s very 😳 absolute queens (heh), all of them.

I also saw a previous ask where you shed some light on the lore of After Midnight (which is still one of my all-time favs from you!). Is there any way you could potentially show the only scene from the scrapped chapter two you got to writing? It sounds quite interesting! Secondly, do you have any lore for the blond surfer dude that goes to town on Jaiden at the end? Of course, if you’re not willing or can’t answer one/both/either, that’s fine, I was just really curious, so don’t take this as pressure of any sort ^^

One last thing: any lore for A Multitude of Bites? Or any information/trivia that wasn’t quite apparent/didn’t make the cut in what’s currently published? Carus and Basilides are such a mess, but I adore them both lol!

I love women. I can't really write about them in a more, uh *clears throat*, intimate way because of reasons but I love them. Their aesthetic and everything else :)

About the scrapped scenes, i mean, I could? it just that the more spicy scenes were recycled in other stories so they might not be anything new ahaha but if you don't mind, sure. They are pretty rough tho, just a warning.

Now, you asked about lore *taps chin* well, for one, the surfer dude's name is Dakota. They/he was stabbed in the back by his roommate at that time and died of blood loss in the living room. They were both drug dealers and the fight was about... money? Or something like that. That's as far as I went on his backstory lol sorry. I did plan on making him "nicer" than the others but still, you know, worthy of being stuck as a ghost and not moving on.

Regarding A Multitude of Bites.... hmmm you guys made such interesting theories in the comments that i feel reluctant to interject and say 'this is what i meant'. I can say the mom was meant to be an ambiguous character, definitely not a good person, but with reasons for what she did that relate to her own past and history as a werewolf. There were at some point plans for a second chapter, here is what i had in mind >> Carus and Basilides love each other but are not in love. Basilides is mated to Carus and therefore can't be with other people because werewolves mate for life and not having his mate around can be fatal (or something like that). Carus, as a human, has no such problem but chooses to stay "loyal". Then Carus starts having feelings for another character (Johannes? Astell?). Basilides finds out. Basilides wants Carus to pursue his feelings and be happy, wants him to stop destroying his chances of having a normal life just to help Basilides.

Cue a lot of angst.

The problem is that i couldn't decide on an ending. I got the sense most people, uh, wanted them to be together? But i didn't feel there was a way around their mile-long baggage where they staying as they were wouldn't be fundamentally damaging. I wanted to write Carus somehow moving on from this disastrous "relationship" and healing. I had no idea how to solve Basilides' arc. So I eventually gave up (> _ <) sorry about that
