(disclaimer that I’m not out here simping for or trying to defend a million dollar company, just a fan with frustrations)
the njpw/aew partnership has always felt incredibly unbalanced. FTR didn’t defend or talk about the IWGP tag belts and skipped out on WTL, Kenny (as much as I love the dude) has done 0 with the US belt, AEW did nothing to promote Willow being part of the Strong Tournament. Desperado set a match with Mox and that didn’t get mentioned. They didn’t even talk about Dominion until after it happened. New Japan social media and commentary make a big effort to keep continuity and talk about things going on in their partner promotions.
Even with Takeshita. DDT has tweeted about the heel turn, their wrestlers have mentioned it, I cannot remember the last time DDT was even mentioned on the show
I get that All Together Again and the Road Tour means 90% of their roster is booked up and it would be a struggle to appear live. But a build to a show doesn’t need to be done 2 weeks before. This is something we should have had going since tickets went on sale. Or at the very least, ask them to film backstage promos to send in, not just play the promotional videos and press conferences that New Japan did themselves.
Sorry, you sent this after I fell asleep, but I agree with everything you've said! Like, I'm not even trying to shit on AEW―it's just facts.
FTR and Kenny were the first people I thought of when Aussie Open had to relinquish the IWGP and Strong tag titles even though Mark would only be out 6 weeks. And Kevin Kelly explained at a later date that if the Dominion match hadn't been set they could have just kept the titles which, okay, fine. But that doesn't change that FTR and Kenny just sat/are just sitting on their respective titles. Also, I was Big Mad when Kenny defended the US title against Jeff Cobb on Dynamite and not a few weeks later at Capital Collision. Like, that's an NJPW belt, my guy. Kenny by God Omega coulda shoulda woulda brought soooooo many more eyes to Capital Collision/NJPW. (And I thought he would have known better, too? That was his home for years?)
But you hit the nail on the head—it's an unbalanced relationship and I frankly don't know what NJPW is getting out of it? Forbidden Door 2 is probably gonna be another routing of their talent like the first FD was.
And like you said, there's absolutely ways to work around people not being able to come to America in order to build a feud/to a PPV. But like I said to that anon, David Finlay been around and available. AEW had the time to meaningfully address the long, long history between him and BOTH Jay and Juice. Juice literally turned on Finlay to join Bullet Club and now Finlay is the leader and you're just gonna ignore that?! And Jay's been exiled from NJPW but he's still out here acting like he's in Bullet Club?! As if (in storyline) Finlay would just allow that happen?! PLEASE. Make it make sense.
Editing to add: there's still a chance to meaningfully introduce the White/Finlay feud AT Forbidden Door. As I said, Jay's been kayfabe exiled from NJPW (and working with NJPW talent, I believe?), so he really SHOULD NOT be anywhere near Toronto on June 25th if they're gonna uphold that. But he could show up because it's also an AEW event. And then Finlay could show up and be like, "Wtf do you think you're doing?" And boom, there you go. I HOPE that happens, genuinely. If not... I will fly to Florida just to smack Tony Khan.
#asks#sorry again I'm getting to this hours later!#and welcome to my insane blog I hope you enjoy yourself

Sex Positive - Charles Leclerc
Words: 2,470 Summary: Y/N goes on a podcast to talk about one thing and one thing only, sex. Note(s): NSFW just because this is just all sex talk, no actual sex, but it is the main topic of discussion. Part SMAU
Masterlist | Support Me!
“Y/N Y/L/N”
She smiles at the sound of her name, adjusting her headphones a bit until they finally seem to sit snug on her head.
“Welcome to the sex positive podcast.”
“Thank you for having me!”
“Thank you for coming on!” Elaine says. “When I reached out, I had hoped you would come on, but was shocked when you said yes.”
“I had to come on. We’ve known each other now for like two years?” Elaine nods at her words. “And yet despite that and this podcast doing so well, which by the way congrats on the new milestone. 250k is insane, and your profession we’ve never once talked about sex.”
“We have not.” Elaine laughs. “Probably because we also run into each other at events and dinners. Not the best place for me to ask how you feel about sex.”
“Well, I should tell you, I am coming on here to actually talk about how much I hate sex.” She says, ending her sentence with an eye roll, as she adjusts how she’s sitting, not even noticing her cardigan slip.
“Oh, yeah.” Elaine nods. “You hate sex.” She then nods to her left shoulder and her eyes drop and she lets out a laugh, seeing the love bites now exposed from the cardigan slipping.
“Like I said, I hate it.” She laughs.
“How is your relationship with sex? I mean, what has your experience been with it?”
She considers for a moment, “I’d say I have a good relationship with sex. It was never a topic that was shied away from when I was younger. My parents both gave me the talk, they made sure that I felt safe and comfortable to talk to them about it. They also never shied away from talking about how they had sex before they were adults, so if I did, they understood. All they asked was that I was safe.”
“And you think that’s helped?”
“Of course.” She nods. “I mean, I was sixteen when I had sex for the first time. Which was before all my friends and after that I was the one my girl friends came to for condoms and advice.”
“Was it good?”
She makes a face, “I mean, I think it was as good as two sixteen-year-olds having sex for the first time can be. A little awkward, some fumbling, finishing so quick.”
Elaine laughs, “Y’know that probably is as good as it can get.”
“Yeah.” She laughs.
“Were you like okay, I had sex this first time, I’ve experienced it, I’m good, or was it like me where you wanted to explore more.”
“Oh, I wanted to explore more. I didn’t have sex again for, I think like another two years. But I did so much self exploring. Just trying to see what I liked, what I was interested in, what I wasn’t interested in.”
“Porn?”
“Yes, there was quite a large amount of porn being watched. I read a lot of adult novels, guides, blogs, really just anything I could get my hands on.”
Elaine nods, tucking a leg underneath herself as she adjusts the microphone to be a little closer. “And this is something I’m curious about, how do you feel about porn? It’s something a lot of people are divided on, a lot of women especially.”
“I like porn. I enjoy it. Either just watching for pleasure or for research.” And she puts the last word in air quotes. “And please people listening or watching, if you see something you like in porn or are interested in, and this applies if you are reading something as well, look it up, read some guides and blog posts about it before doing it yourself. Just be safe.”
“Oh, please be safe. We have our own blog where we talk about different kinks, positions, various things and I urge you, along with everyone else who works on this podcast, to be safe with yourself and others.” Elaine says, addressing the camera before looking back at her. “So, you like porn.”
“Yes. Obviously not all porn is good, there are bad studios, there are overdone tropes, issues with the industry itself with it continuing to promote certain things because it earns them so much money. But I do enjoy it. It’s an industry that is always going to get criticized and hated and it deserves some of those criticisms without a doubt.”
“As a sex therapist, I do try to veer my clients away from porn, most of the time. And that’s mainly due to the acting of it. But it has its place in helping you learn and educate yourself. My issue is when people only look at porn and don’t look into things further.”
“Yeah, a hundred percent. It’s so important to not just take away things from porn but to take things away and expand on what you saw.” She nods.
“And of course I have to ask, what do you yourself like to watch in porn?”
“Hmm.” She thinks. “I think it depends on my mood. I think what I normally go for is something a little more rough. I’ve never really enjoyed watching people have like slow, gentle sex, not unless there’s something else there like overstimulation.”
“So, you like it rough?” Elaine asks.
She laughs, “Yes. It wasn’t something I had ever tried out before though until my current partner.”
“Really?”
She nods, “Really! I can admit that with my current partner, Charles, is where I’ve done a lot of exploring with someone else sexually. We’ve tried out many things.”
“Anything you guys didn’t like?”
“We don’t care for titles or honorifics.”
“You are crushing some dreams with that statement.”
“I know.” She laughs, well aware of the many tweets and things about wanting to call Charles daddy or sir. But it was just something that didn’t work for them in bed. The most was sometimes as a tease, she’d call him Mr. Leclerc and that was mainly to wind him up, not because the word itself was a turn on.
“What about things you’ve both enjoyed?”
“Oh, where to begin.” She teases, the both of them laughing. “Roleplay is one, bondage, edging, overstimulation. And I don’t consider this sex, but it is something we both enjoy a lot, cock warming.”
“That is quite the list.”
“Oh, just the tip of the iceberg.”
“Talk me through some of it. Bondage?”
“Yes. This was something we both had come into the relationship having never done before and wanting to do. We have the actual like rope you're supposed to use for when we do it, though sometimes we have used other things.”
Elaine shakes her head, grinning. “Of course you two have. I feel like if I see you two together, you’re always attached.”
“Pretty much. We both enjoy touch and Charles, despite all the interest in his personal life and how much already is exposed to the public, doesn't mind holding my hand or hugging or kissing me while in public.”
“Was that a worry of yours?” Elaine asks.
“Absolutely.” She nods, fingers interlacing. “I knew he’d at least, when I went to my first race, that he’d hold my hand, but I figured that might be it. And I didn’t want to bring it up since me going to Baku was so last minute for the both of us.”
“I’ve seen photos from that race and I would have never guessed that it was a last minute decision or that you two hadn’t talked about that yet.”
“Yeah, I got on a plane and was there by 11pm on Wednesday night, and the plane tickets had gotten bought maybe six hours before the plane took off. Charles had to send a photo of my ID to the front desk and had a spare key for me waiting since he had to be asleep already.”
“And then the next day, I mean you guys were very loved up.”
She grins, “we very much were. I think Charles knew I was nervous. We hadn’t officially been spotted together and he’s such a comforting person, very calming, so it was easy to not feel anxious with him holding me and pressing a kiss to my cheek every few minutes as y’know a bunch of people were taking photos of me and I’m being introduced to about a hundred people.”
“Which is overwhelming to say the least.”
“So overwhelming.” She nods.
“Though you might’ve liked that, since you’ve brought up overstimulation a few times.”
Her hands come up to hide her face, laughing into them, before they fall back into her lap. “I’d apologize, but I like what I like.”
“So it’s you being overstimulated.”
“Oh, absolutely. I find it very enjoyable.”
“I’ve never actually really talked about overstimulation, what is that you like about it? That you find to be enjoyable?”
“It’s the near constant feeling of too much, it’s so much pleasure just back to back, and everything depending on how you're doing it, can feel just like raw? And exposed? And you don’t think you can orgasm one more time, you just can’t again, but then you can and it feels at least in my experience just so good and then you do it again and again, and every time the pleasure of it just washing over you is even more and more and it’s the only thing you can focus on, everything else just fades away.”
“You make me want to try it.” Elaine laughs.
—
Charles’ head immediately perks up when he hears the hotel door open. “Chérie! How was the podcast?”
She smiles, setting her bag down, before moving over to the couch where Charles is sitting and happily sitting in his lap before Charles can pull her down. “It was good.” She finally says after kissing him.
He hums, “How good?”
She thinks, playfully humming as her fingers run through his hair. “Very good. I think your fans will want to kill me and so will Ferrari.”
He frowns, arms tightening around her. “Ferrari knows that you are allowed to do as you’d like. It is not like with,” He stops himself.
“I know, Charles.” She soothes. “But, they will be upset with me considering me talking about my sex life is talking about your sex life.”
He huffs, obviously not liking it, but he hopes that the podcast will do well, be received well, so at least Ferrari will be forced to accept it because fans like it.
“Did you mention me?”
Her eyebrow raises, “No. I want on a podcast to talk about my sex life so you obviously didn’t come up.”
He pouts at the tease and she can’t resist pressing a kiss to his pouty lips.
“Yes, I mentioned you. Multiple times and by name.”
He hums, moving his hands under her cardigan and top. “What did you say?”
“That we’ve done a lot of things together. That we like certain things.”
When she had accepted the invite it was only after a long talk with Charles, one she had to force, to go over what she could and couldn’t mention. Charles had been fine with her mentioning whatever she wanted. Uncaring that it would be out for the world to see, his colleagues, friends, and even family if for some reason they decided to click on it. He had stuck by that after their talk, though had asked her to keep most of the details of their roleplay and their love of rough sex to a minimum.
And it had been easy to not talk about what kind of roleplay they did and while rough sex had been mentioned twice, they were brief, just establishing her love of it.
“It did make me want to roleplay our favorite thing again.”
His eyes light up at her words.
It wasn’t often something they did, their favorite roleplay scenario, not when it required her to be in a certain headspace to really work, but she wants and craves it so much.
“You want to be my innocent little girl?” His voice has a bit of rasp, his fingers resting on her back, stretching out.
“Yes.” She breathes.
He leans forward, giving her a hungry kiss, his and her last chance to lose control, before pulling away. “Go get ready for me, bébé. I’ll find a place to have dinner.”

Part II
“I see you met Barkley,” Maria laughed as you and the pup made your way down the stairs. “He likes to make himself right at home.”
“He’s a great napping partner,” your replied with a broad grin. “How long have you had him?”
“Oh, Barkley’s not ours, he’s Joel’s dog. I think he’s had Barkley for about three years now. Just showed up one day, underfed and in dire need of grooming, and never left,” Maria explained, bending down to greet Barkley with enthusiastic belly rubs. “Joel checked with all the shelters and vets in the entire state hoping to find his owners, but no luck. Now he and Joel are best buds and he stays with us with sometimes.”
Gosh, as if you didn’t already find the man insanely attractive. Now you found out he’s a rescuer of lost dogs. Your heart melted into a puddle right there on the gorgeous hardwood floor.
“Joel and Sarah should be here any minute. Hope you’re hungry!”
The dining room at the Evergreen House was a picture-perfect holiday scene with a long wooden table polished to a deep mahogany, the chandelier above adorned with garlands of holly and fairy lights that cast a warm glow around the festive room. The table filled with delicious food and the scent of roasted turkey and baked cinnamon apples mingled with the faint fragrance of the artfully decorated tree in the corner.
“It smells heavenly in here,” you admitted, taking a seat at the large table.
Joel entered just as you settled a cloth napkin in your lap. Tall and broad, dressed in a fresh green flannel and dark jeans, his presence filled the room. His dark umber eyes lit up at seeing you, leaving your heart sparking to life like the first crackle of a fire in the hearth. A young girl bounded in behind him, an adorable ball of energy wrapped in a red sweater with snowflake patterns. Her dark eyes sparkled with curiosity when they landed on you, but her attention quickly veered toward the happy pup as Barkley sought her affections by spinning circles in front of her. A man with dark hair like Joel’s only longer entered the room last, slipping into the seat at the head of the table and flashed a welcoming grin in your direction.
Maria clapped her hands together once everyone was seated, her smile bright. “Everyone, this is our newest guest.” She went about introducing you by name to Tommy and Sarah, and you were instantly charmed by the knowledge that Sarah was Joel’s daughter. Still, you were curious about his marital status. Your eyes darted to Joel’s left hand to find the third finger bare before turning your focus back to Maria. “She’s here thanks to Joel and his, uh, interesting day on the highway.”
Sarah giggled, nudging her dad’s side as his cheeks flushed, a faint pink blooming beneath his scruffy beard. “Interesting, huh?” he muttered, pouty lips curving into a sheepish smile.
Taking pity on him, you chimed in. “Let’s just say his charm makes up for his ability to block a highway.”
Joel’s laugh came soft and low, the sound melting into the warmth of the room. His eyes caught yours, holding your gaze just a moment longer than necessary. Your heart gave an unexpected flutter, the kind that felt like the start of something magical. ‘Twas the season for it, after all. Right?
The dining room soon buzzed with the easy warmth of family chatter, laughter weaving its way around the table. Joel sat across from you, his posture relaxed but his gaze sharp, flicking your way every so often as if drawn to you involuntarily. Beside him, Sarah eagerly loaded her plate, small hands working with the kind of determination that only a child could muster when mashed potatoes were involved. Judging by the size of the pile on her plate, Sarah’s eyes were three times the size of her stomach and you doubted she would finish even half of it.
Tommy leant back in his chair, his easy grin matching the sparkle in Maria’s eyes as they presided over the table like a pair of holiday hosts straight out of a Christmas card.
“So,” Sarah began, looking at you with wide-eyed curiosity. “Are you married?”
You nearly choked on your sip of cabernet, the question snowballing out of nowhere. Joel froze mid-reach for the breadbasket, his ears turning visibly pink. “Sarah,” he started, voice low with a gentle warning, “that’s not—”
“Nope,” you interjected, cutting him off with a good-natured smile. “Not married, you cheeky little thing. Why do you ask?”
Sarah shrugged, her mischievous grin giving away more than her casual tone. “I was just wondering, ‘cause you’re pretty and Daddy’s not married either. Isn’t that funny?”
Tommy sat back in his seat and barked out a laugh as his brother groaned and scrubbed a hand down his face. “Well, I’ll be,” Tommy said, his voice thick with amusement. “Kids say the damnedest things, huh?” He ignored the scowl Joel sent his way.
“Sarah,” Joel muttered, the look he shot her equal parts exasperated and affectionate. “Why don’t we talk about something else? Like, oh, I don’t know… school?”
Sarah scoffed, clearly enjoying making her dad uncomfortable in front of you. “School’s boring, dad. This is way more interesting.”
“Smart kid,” Tommy quipped, raising his glass in her direction and flashing Joel a cheeky wink. “She’s not wrong, ya know.”
“Tommy! Stop encouraging her,” Maria hissed, hiding the grin that tugged at her lips behind her wine.
Joel’s gaze darted to you, his lips curving into a helpless smile that made your stomach flip. “Sorry about that,” he murmured, voice low enough that only you could hear over the chatter from the other three Millers. “She’s got a knack for stirring up trouble.”
“Which she clearly learned from your brother,” you teased, leaning over the table just enough to meet his eyes fully and keep your conversation quiet. “But I don’t mind. She’s just curious and I’m utterly charmed by her. Besides,” you added, your eyes sparkling and tone playful, “she’s not the only charming Miller in the room.”
Joel’s eyebrows shot up slightly, a spark of surprise flickering across his handsome face. “Careful, darlin’,” he drawled, his voice like warm honey coating your skin. “My brother’s married, ya know, and his wife is sitting right next to you.”
You responded with a playful roll of your eyes, “He’s obviously not the Miller I was talking about, Joel.”
“Well, you keep talkin’ like that and I’ll start thinkin’ you like me.”
Tommy let out a low whistle, clearly eavesdropping. “Careful with this one, brother. Sounds like she’ll give you a run for your money.”
Joel shot his brother a look, but you didn’t miss the way his shoulders relaxed, his confidence returning in spades. “Just tryin’ to make a good impression on the big city lady,” he said, gaze settling warmly back on you. “Not every day you meet someone who fits right in like they’ve been here all along.”
The words, simple as they were, carried a weight that made your cheeks warm. You glanced down at your plate, digging your toes under Barkley’s fur as he laid beneath the table to distract yourself, and fought the pull of your lips curving into a pleased smile. Maria’s knowing expression told you the fight was for naught.
“Alright, you rascals,” Tommy said, breaking the moment with a chuckle. “Let’s finish up and move onto dessert before Sarah starts planning a wedding.”
After dinner, you settled on a couch in front of the fire with Sarah, where the rest of the Millers insisted you stay while they cleaned up. Being a chatty and precocious young girl, Sarah regaled you with various tales of her and Joel’s life, often including embarrassingly cute details about her father and pausing to eye your reactions. She was a delightful storyteller.
“I meant it at dinner,” she said, suddenly changing subjects from how she taught Barkley to fetch pinecones yesterday. Her voice took on a hint of longing and wonder. “You really are pretty.”
You hummed in response, running your fingers over her hair. “Thank you. You are so pretty, too, Sarah. You have your dad’s eyes, like a little puppy dog’s when it’s begging for treats. I bet you get away with murder with eyes like that.”
Sarah shrugged with a giggle before her gaze sharpened. “So, I think that means you like my dad’s eyes. You said you’re not married. Do you have a boyfriend? Or a… a girlfriend?”
Goodness but this young girl was quick and, apparently, hyper-fixated on playing matchmaker for her dad. Your wide eyes softened as you realized how Joel was raising his daughter to be accepting and open-minded and your heart melted. He was a great dad.
“Nope, no boyfriends or girlfriends. I’ve been too focused on my work for a while,” you admitted. Before Sarah could pepper you with more questions, Joel entered the room, Barkley following right on his heels. Crinkles formed around his eyes with the brightness of his smile at the sight of the two of you huddled together on the couch.
“It’s stopped snowing. I promised Sarah we’d walk through town before we go home. Would you like to join us to see the town square all lit up?” he asked, hip propped against the arm of the sofa next to Sarah.
Reluctant at first, you gave in to the excitement in Sarah’s voice when she chimed in. “You must see the lights! And the tree! It’s so pretty!”
Bundled in borrowed mittens, coat, and scarf that carried the faint scent of fresh laundry, you followed Joel and Sarah outside into a winter wonderland. Barkley’s leash was clutched tightly in Sarah’s hand as he trotted beside her.
The town square looked like it had been plucked straight out of a holiday snow globe and you stared in awe. Strings of lights crisscrossed above the road, casting a warm glow over the dusting of snow remaining after the last plow went by. Shops selling hot cocoa and hand-knit scarves, pastries and baubles, lined the street, and a small choir sang carols by the towering Christmas tree adorned with ribbons, lights, and silver tinsel right in the heart of the square.
Sarah skipped ahead with Barkley, her boots making tiny impressions in the snow as she left the adults behind. Joel strolled beside you, hands shoved into his jacket pockets, shoulders slightly hunched against the cold as his warm eyes tracked his daughter’s movements. Every so often, his arm brushed yours, the accidental contact sending a surprising jolt of warmth through you each time.
Watching as Sarah danced around the choir as Barkley stood guard, movements perfectly in sync with the melody, you smiled. “She’s really something,” you said softly.
“She is,” Joel agreed, his voice tinged with pride. His coffee-colored eyes, full of thoughtful vulnerability, met yours. “I hit the damn jackpot as far as daughters go. Her, uh, mom passed away during childbirth. It’s been me and her against the world ever since.”
An involuntary gasp left your lips, and you gazed at him somberly. Not knowing what to say, you finally settled on a soft, “That must have been so hard.”
Joel nodded, his attempt at a smile falling short. “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. There were so many days where I doubted myself, that I thought she’d be better off with someone else, someone who could give her everything she deserved, but… Tommy, the pain in the ass that he can be, was always there to help and talked sense into me. My parents too, while they were still alive. Soon enough, we found a rhythm and the rest is history. Now I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
Goodness, but this man was something and you would fall for him head over tea kettle if you weren’t careful… “You’re an amazing dad, Joel. I could tell the moment I met Sarah and saw you two interact. She’s lucky to have you as a father.”
“Naw, I’m the lucky one. That girl made me a better man, one to be proud of.” A shine took to his eyes, and you glanced away to give him a moment. Before long, Joel cleared his throat. His gaze shifted to you, his expression thoughtful. “I don’t think I said it before, but I’m glad we crossed paths today.”
You met his eyes, the soft light of the Christmas lights reflected in their warm brown depths. “Me, too,” you admitted, the barely whispered words carried by the gentle, crisp breeze between you.
“I don’t usually open up like that,” Joel confessed, suddenly bashful. “I don’t know what it is about you, but I find it really easy to talk to you.”
Warmth rushed your cheeks as you smiled back at him. “It’s all part of my mysterious charm. You Millers aren’t the only ones blessed with it.”
“Ain’t that the truth,” he teased back with a bark of laughter.
The following morning, you woke early missing the extra warmth Barkley provided as Joel took him home last night. Once you were up and moving, Maria offered to make you breakfast – as their only guest at the moment, she and Tommy catered to your every need – but you graciously declined, wanting to explore the town during daylight hours after the tranquil beauty of last night.
“Well, you’ll have to stop by the diner then, if you want some breakfast while you explore,” Tommy said. “It’s called Mac’s, but a woman named Tess owns it now.”
“She’s a close friend of the family, so is the cook, Frank. Joel’s known them forever,” Maria added. “They’ll take good care of you.”
“Yeah, they’re good people.” Tommy paused, his gaze thoughtful for a moment. “There was a time when we thought Tess and—”
“You should get going if you want to beat the rush,” Maria cut her husband off with a sharp glance. “It’s the only diner in town and gets real busy around this time.”
You glanced back and forth between the couple, feeling like you were missing something important – you reckoned it might have something to do with Joel, whatever Tommy was about to say about Tess – but opted to shrug it off. Wasn’t your business anyway.
“Ok, I’ll head to the diner first, then explore the town. Thank you again for dinner last night.” Donning the borrowed coat and scarf Maria insisted you wear, you waved goodbye to the couple and ventured outside.
The morning was sharp and bracing as you stepped out of the Evergreen House, your breath puffing in miniature clouds in front of you. The sun hung low in the sky, barely breaking over the mountains in the distance, pale light shimmering off a few inches of fresh snow blanketing the landscape. Winterland held a quiet charm in the early hours, with the faint sound of wind chimes and the crunch of boots on the snow as the townspeople walked by.
Only a block down from the inn, the diner sat in a squat, brick building with frosted windows artfully decorated for the holidays and an old, hand-painted sign that read Mac’s. The moment you pushed through the door, a bell jingled overhead, and a cozy warmth wrapped its grip around you. The air was a mix of scents – freshly brewed coffee, sizzling bacon, and the cloying sweetness of maple syrup – and the low hum of morning conversation carried through the seating area.
An attractive, tall woman with long hair and a keen gaze stood behind the counter. Judging by the nametag on her retro diner uniform, the woman was none other than Tess. She greeted you with a welcoming smile that crinkled the corners of her eyes and wiped her hands on the apron around her waist. “Well, you must be the new gal Maria told me about. Welcome to Winterland. Find yourself a seat anywhere you’d like, and I’ll be right with you.”
You slid onto a seat at the counter, the red vinyl worn but comfortable. At a nearby table, a man with brown hair and a thick beard scowled at his coffee like it personally wronged him. His presence practically radiated grumpiness, but it was somehow endearing in this environment.
“That’s Bill,” Tess whispered conspiratorially across the counter when she caught you observing the man. “Don’t mind him. He’s all bark and no bite.”
While she spoke, the cook stepped out from behind the pass – an older man with a kind face and mischievous smile – and said, “Speak for yourself, Tess. Last time I told him we were out of pie; he about bit my head off!”
“Shut it, Frank,” Bill growled from his table without looking up, earning a peal of laughter from Tess.
Frank winked at you as he returned to his station. “What’ll it be, darlin’? I make a mean French toast if you’re hungry.”
Before you could respond, Tess leaned on the counter and added, “And don’t forget to try the coffee. Best in town.”
“It’s the only coffee in town,” Bill grumbled unhelpfully.
The warmth of the place and friendly banter between locals was contagious. You ordered eggs benedict, your favorite, but opted for a diet cola instead of coffee. You watched as Frank worked the grill with lazy efficiency, bopping to the music softly playing from the overhead speakers. Between the homey atmosphere of the inn and now the diner, you felt like you were on holiday and momentarily forgot about the inconvenience of your broken-down truck.
Bill muttered something under his breath as Tess refilled his coffee. “You should smile more, Bill. It makes you look pretty,” she teased, plunking the pot of hot liquid on his table with a flourish.
“I’ll give you pretty,” Bill grumbled in return, but you caught the ghost of a smirk on his lips as Tess walked away.
Your breakfast was ready a few minutes later, the eggs poached perfectly and drizzled with just the right of hollandaise. You dug in, savoring the mix of flavors. “This is amazing,” you said. You meant it, too. You’d ordered eggs benedict at many a restaurant over the years and Frank’s was among the best.
“Frank’s a wizard with a griddle,” Tess replied, coming around the counter to plop down on the seat next to yours. “Time for a break, I think. He’s been keepin’ this town fed for years, long before I took over this place. And Bill over there? He’s been keepin’ that seat warm just as long.” Leaning a little closer, her voice dipped as she added, “I think he comes by just to see Frank. They’ve been sweet on each other for ages.”
Unsuspectingly, Frank piped up again. “Don’t let Bill fool you. He acts grumbly and tough, but he always leaves a big tip.”
“I’ll bet he does,” you teased, winking at Tess. You loved getting this kind of insight to the small-town life. The lighthearted banter and how seamlessly they included you made you feel like you really belonged. Suddenly, you could picture your life in a town like Winterland…
Shaking away the thought as a pipe dream, you finished your meal and turned back to Tess. “So, if you own the place, why is it called Mac’s Diner?”
Tess spun on the stool and glanced around the place. “Ah, well, it was my uncle’s diner. I worked here as a teenager and came back to help him as he got older. He passed last year and left the place to me. I tried many times over the years to convince him to do some updates, but he never did. And now I’m not sure how to make it my own without losing the parts that remind us all of him.”
“I can help you with that! I’m in marketing and work for a big firm back in New York City,” you explained. “I can give you a few tips and small changes that will make a big difference without taking away any of the original charm, starting with changing the name to something that resembles you.”
The pair of you chatted for a while, the breakfast rush coming and going as you brainstormed ideas. Once Tess had a solid to-do list, the conversation switched directions.
“So, Ms. Marketing Guru, what brought you to our delightful little hole in the wall?” Tess’s eyes sparkled with curiosity.
You told her about your cross-country trip, the fear of flying, the broken-down truck, and Joel’s help on the highway. At the mention of Joel, Tess’s expression turned dreamy, her smile almost knowing.
“Ah, Joel Miller,” she said, her tone full of hidden meaning. “He’s a good one. Lucky you ran into him.”
Having been completely enchanted by you, Frank chimed in from the grill with a cheeky grin. “Joel’s a real catch. The kind that would make you want to stick around if you hooked ‘em. No one’s been able to in a very long time, though many have tried.”
Warmth rushed your cheeks as you spluttered. “Oh no! It’s not like that.” Despite your insistence, it felt like an outright lie even to yourself.
“Uh huh,” Bill, Frank, and Tess all replied in perfect synchronicity.
The chill in the air deepened throughout the day and you were ready to defrost in front of a crackling fire after a thorough exploration of the quaint town. You arrived back at the inn to find a frazzled Maria staring at a slowly dying fire in the hearth, the rack for firewood next to her sat empty.
“What’s wrong?” you asked when Maria sighed dramatically.
“We’re completely out of firewood,” she said, gesturing toward the sad little fire. In a flustered ramble, she continued, “Joel’s been our go-to for years, and we usually stay well stocked, but it slipped our minds to get more this week. Now we have a new guest coming this evening and a million things to do and no wood left to keep the fireplaces going. I’d ask Joel to bring a load over, but he already does so much for us, I don’t want to burden him with this during the little free time he gets.”
“Oh, well, I can go,” you offered without hesitation, hating to see your new friend so stressed. “I mean, as long as you don’t mind me borrowing a truck, I’ve got plenty of free time and it’s not far, right?”
Maria’s face lit up with gratitude, warmth coming off her stronger than the dying fire. “Are you kiddin’? If you’re willing to help, of course you can borrow a truck. I’ll get you the keys.” She bounced off as you went up to your room to change into warmer clothes.
A few minutes later, you met at the bottom of the stairs. “You’re an angel, you know that? Just tell Joel I sent you over and he’ll know exactly what we need. Oh, and don’t let him talk you into lifting anything heavy!”
Bundled back into the loaner coat, scarf, and gloves, you set off toward the Millers’ farm in Tommy’s pickup. The heat took a while to kick in as you drove to the edge of the small town and turned onto a private road. The farmhouse and barn looked like something out of a storybook. Snow capped the red barn’s roof, and smoke curled in lazy whisps from the chimney of the house. The scent of woodsmoke and fresh hay filled the air when you opened the door, making the chill seem almost pleasant.
Joel was already outside by a neat stack of logs, axe in hand, splitting firewood with an ease that made the whole process look like second nature. Nearby, Sarah stood next to a preciously beautiful miniature horse, braiding its mane as her laughter rang out across the snow-covered fields. The little horse matched the girl’s laugh with a snort, and you smiled, completely enchanted with the entire scene.
“Hey darlin’,” Joel greeted with pleasant surprise as you approached, leaning on the handle of his axe. His dark eyes visibly warmed at the sight of you, and you felt a matching warmth pool deep in your belly.
“Hi Joel,” you replied softly. He looked good, really good, with flushed cheeks and wind-blown curls, brown eyes shining in the afternoon sunlight. You almost forgot why you were there. “Maria sent me to pick up some firewood. Guess we ran out?” you explained, gesturing toward the truck. “She said you’d know what to do.”
Joel huffed out a chuckle, setting the axe aside. “I reckon I do. Let me load up a pile for you. I’ll bring them another supply tomorrow morning.”
From the nearby pen, Sarah perked up, pausing mid-braid. “Wait! Don’t let her leave yet, Dad! We should give her a tour!”
Tilting his head in acquiescence toward Sarah, he turned to you with a playful grin. “What do you think, darlin’? Got a little time to spare?”
You hesitated for only a moment before nodding, lips curved up in a broad smile. “To see more of this beautiful place? You bet!”
Sarah practically bounced with excitement, tugging your hand to lead you toward the barn while her dad took a few minutes to load a pile of firewood into the bed of the truck. Soon enough, Joel joined you, guiding the sweet mini horse along with him. The barn doors creaked open to reveal a cozy, well-kept space where a row of horses shifted in their stalls, soft snickers filling the air. The earthy scent of hay mixed with the faint aroma of saddle leather and horse feed.
“This is Moonbeam,” Sarah announced as Joel ushered the chestnut mini horse toward its stall. “She’s my favorite. She lets me braid her mane every day.”
“She’s a beauty,” you said, stepping closer to stroke the mini horse’s velvet-soft nose. Moonbeam huffed gently, her large eyes calm as she nudged your hand, seeking more gentle pets.
While Joel secured Moonbeam in her stall, Sarah steered you further down the line of stalls until you came to a large, sleek black horse. “This is Daddy’s horse. His name is Onyx.”
The large horse popped his head over the top of the stall, checking you out with unguarded curiosity. He was breathtakingly beautiful. You held out a hand, palm up, allowing Onyx to snuffle at your skin. He nudged your hand, urging you to pet him, which you gladly did.
“You’re a gorgeous boy,” you whispered to the horse. Much like your dad, echoed silently in your mind. As you stepped back from Onyx, ready to continue the tour, Barkley trotted into the barn and rushed over to greet you. Bending down, you ruffled the golden retriever’s ears, pressing your face against his soft fur. “Where’d you come from, huh? Were you on patrol, keeping an eye on the place?”
Joel leaned against the stall door, watching you with quiet wonder. “You’re good with animals,” he noted. “First my dog and now my horses are falling in love with you.”
You glanced at him, a little thrill sparking at the compliment. “It’s my animal magnetism,” you joked lightly.
Sarah stood beside you, her baby cow eyes darting back and forth between you and her dad, a secret smile curling her lips. Without a word, she began leading you out of the barn with the intention of continuing the tour. However, when you all exited the barn, the sun had dipped low behind the mountains, and the air turned even frostier than before.
“I think it’s time for me to get back to the inn with the firewood,” you said, the disappointment in your voice matched Sarah’s falling expression. “It’s getting late, and Maria said there are new guests coming. She’ll want to get the fireplaces sorted before they arrive.”
“But we haven’t finished the tour! There’s so much more to see!” Sarah exclaimed, one foot stomping on the ground in frustration.
“Sarah, mind your manners,” Joel reminded the young girl in a gently stern voice, watching as her bottom lip stuck out in a pout. Turning to you, he added, “We’ll walk you back to the truck.”
Joel led the way, and you looked over your shoulder, watching Barkley nudge Sarah as she scuffed her boots across the ground unhappily. You felt bad for the young girl, knowing how excited she was to show you everything.
“She really likes you,” Joel said, voice a deep rumble over the wind, when he caught you watching his daughter. “Hasn’t stopped talking about you since meeting you. In fact, it seems my whole family is quite taken with you.”
You quirked an eyebrow playfully. “Is that so? And what about you, Joel Miller?”
He glanced away briefly, curls dancing in the wind, before meeting your gaze with a soft, vulnerable smile. “Oh, I’m definitely taken with you, too, darlin’.”
You reached the driver’s side of the truck before you could formulate a suitably charming response and settled for a simple, grateful goodbye. Sarah darted forward to hug you, Joel watching with a warm gaze.
“Thanks for the tour of the barn, little bug,” you spoke into her hair as you bent slightly to return the hug, and the girl beamed at the new nickname.
“Why don’t you come back again in the morning and we’ll finish the tour,” Joel suggested, suddenly feeling that same disappointment as his daughter at the idea of you leaving. “I’ll pick you up around eight when I drop off another load of firewood.”
Sarah bounced in place, hands pressed together and begging you to agree. You stood up straight, eyes darting between Joel’s dark coffee ones. “Are you sure? I wouldn’t want to be in the way or interrupt your day.”
“I’m sure,” Joel insisted. “We’d love to have you over again. Maybe you could stay for lunch?”
“And maybe we can go sledding! There’s a big hill over there,” Sarah pointed to a slope in the distance eagerly. “Please?”
How could you possibly say no to not just one, but two sets of baby cow eyes staring pleadingly at you?
“Okay, if you’re both sure, I’d be happy to.”
After another round of goodbyes, the Millers watched as you climbed into the truck and drove off, waving with broad smiles the whole time.

this is halloween || I.N. x reader
Summary: Working in a bar on Halloween sucks. What doesn't suck is your coworker Jeongin being shirtless in the name of it being a sexy costume (unless your boss made him do it, in which case you're prepared to murder him).
Word count: 3.7k
Genres: friends to lovers, coworkers to lovers
Warnings & Tags: mostly fluff, slightly heavy make-out session, mentions of customers being inappropriate with Jeongin.
A/N: hiiiii, welcome back on my blog! I hope everyone's doing good ^-^ I've written four small one-shots for Stray Kids' maknae line for Halloween (and the plan for now is to write four small one shots for the hyung line for Christmas/New Year's). Here is the first one, and I hope you'll enjoy them!
Seungmin · Felix
Working on Halloween night was rarely, if ever, a good experience, if you were in the service industry. You didn’t remember enjoying it even once since you’d started working, taking jobs wherever and whenever you could. It was easy to get hired for Halloween, and on crazy nights like that, tips always flowed in, but it was made barely worth it by the insanity you’d have to endure. The crowds, the noise, even the drunken people, all that, you could handle, but Halloween seemed to bring out the worst in people — or the worse of people, you couldn’t say for sure.
For fuck’s sake, a guy thinking he was a vampire had bitten you one time.
You couldn’t say you’d been surprised when the bar you’d been working at for close to a year had informed the employees that they were expected to wear costumes for the night. Up all night was always somewhat gothic-themed, after all. Plus, they weren’t asking for much. You’d merely been given a red headband with little demon horns on it and a note urging you to ‘dress sexy’. It had made you roll your eyes, and you had decided to only half humor the direction. After all, you’d be standing behind the bar for the night and you didn’t see a point in making too much of an effort.
When you’d gotten there, you had immediately known that had been the right decision. There were much bigger fishes to fry than your outfit, and neither your colleagues nor the manager paid you much attention. You were kept busy from the moment you set foot in the building to the opening, with not a minute to yourself. You only remembered to put the headband on as the very first clients stepped in through the doors.
After that, it was just an endless stream of people trying to get your attention and something to drink.
It was around midnight when you took your break.
Fifteen minutes, that was all you’d get — it meant both nothing and the world to you.
It’s as you’re sitting outside, quietly sipping on coffee that you need both to keep yourself sharp and to warm yourself up on this cold October night, that you’re joined by Jeongin.
You like Jeongin. A few years younger than you, he also joined a couple of months after you did. He’s sweet, hardworking, creative, and, as you find out tonight, has abs for days.
“What are you wearing,” is what comes out of your mouth when he walks towards you, even though your question should be ‘what are you not wearing’.
Jeongin glances down at his body like he forgot, then lets out a sigh as he, too, realizes that he’s very much shirtless — save for the suspenders that half cover dark nipples. You… take him in a little longer than you’d be comfortable admitting. Your eyes go from his large shoulders to the rock hard pectorals, to the well-defined abs that inevitably lead to the happy trail that disappears into his pants. Suddenly, you’re strongly aware of how close in age you are to him, even though you like to joke about how he needs to be taken care of.
He lets himself fall down next to you and the pout he gives you allows you to at least try to cling to that illusion a while longer.
“They asked me to,” he says. “Told me I’d be a sexy demon.”
Immediately, your spider-sense starts tingling. If there’s one thing you won’t sit for in silence, it’s one of your friends and fellow employee getting taken advantage of.
“Wait, did they force you?” you ask, brow suddenly furrowing. “Did they— insist or say something about your job? Because unless we signed very different contracts, I doubt that was in the job description.”
Jeongin’s eyes go wide.
He’s pretty. Shit, he’s really pretty, and he’s sitting so close to you that you can feel his body heat. It’s cold outside, but it was ridiculously hot in the bar, as is made obvious by the discreet sheen of sweat on his body.
“No, they, uh, they didn’t do that,” he says, sounding very sheepish now. “They just— asked.”
You click your tongue. They’d have to have known that he wouldn’t know better.
“I’ll talk to them. You shouldn’t have to dress in a way that makes you uncomfortable.” You gesture at yourself. “See, I’m wearing the stupid headband, but I’m not going to go out of my way unless they start paying me a lot better.”
Jeongin’s eyes follow the movement of your hand, and you feel very naked under his gaze as he takes in your body. Hm, you kinda wish you’d bothered to dress at least just a teensy bit sexier now. Then he looks at you again. Swallows.
“I think you look good,” he says. Then he smiles, and it’s such a sweet sight, cute dimples forming in his cheeks. Takes your breath away for sure. If it sounded more suggestive, you might be led to thinking that he’s flirting with you. It just seems genuine right now, though. Plus, now that you’re looking at him, you’re pretty sure he’s got at least three phone numbers written on his arms. The thought makes you wrinkle your nose in distaste. People tend to forget boundaries, when they’re wasted.
“I really need to get a word with Jin-Young,” you mumble through your teeth. A glance at your watch; your break is almost over and you don’t want to fuck your coworkers over, so you push yourself to your feet. You pat Jeongin’s shoulder, stopping yourself from lingering to feel the muscles under your fingers. Last thing he needs is yet another person disregarding his personal space. “You can throw something on, I’ll take care of it.”
He opens his mouth, closes it, opens it again.
“Oh, uh, it’s fine, you don’t have to do that—”
For a second, you hesitate.
“You don’t mind? Has no one been… gross?”
You openly eye the phone numbers, and Jeongin glances down like he’s seeing them for the first time.
“People are just having fun.” He shrugs, but avoids your eyes.
If the blind, white-hot rage that goes through you at his reaction is any indication of the conversation that’s going to unfold real soon, you might very well lose your job tonight.
“I’ll be back in a second,” you tell him. Again, he says something about how you ‘don’t have to’, but this time you ignore him.
Jin-Young’s in his office, hiding behind mountains of paperwork and muttering numbers to himself as he’s making sense of the receipts that he’s lined up in front of him. The thin pieces of papers jump when you slam your hands on the desk.
“What did you tell Jeongin about his costume?”
After first looking at the papers in complete disarray, like he thinks they moved out of their own volition, he slowly raises his towards you. You’d have sympathy for how lost he looks — Halloween’s hard on everyone in the industry, like you mentioned — if you weren’t so pissed right now.
“To dress sexy,” he says after some long seconds. “Like everyone else. Why? Did he not put any effort into it? Are you jealous about that?”
While you are vaguely flattered that people appear to think you look sexy in your bare minimum effort, that is not the matter at hand right now.
“He’s shirtless,” you say. “Who told him he needed to be shirtless?”
Finally, some light appears in the man’s eyes.
“Aah, that’s right! He asked what I meant by sexy, and that was one of the examples.”
“You pushed him to it,” you say through gritted teeth.
The accusation doesn’t faze Jin-Young whatsoever.
“I didn’t have to. He seemed quite excited about it, if you want my opinion.”
You don’t, typically, but that does throw you off.
“He seemed quite uncomfortable with it,” you say slowly, but it sounds more hesitant now. Jin-Young’s many things, and one of these things is a terrible liar.
“Well, what did you tell him?”
Wait a minute, is this your fault now?
“Nothing! Just asked what he was, you know, wearing. It— it caught me off guard.”
Jin-Young raises an eyebrow at you, and you defensively fold your arms over your chest.
“You know,” he says, trying to be coy and failing miserably as he leans over his desk, “I wonder why he liked the idea of doing it shirtless. It’s not like he doesn’t get attention when he’s dressed normally. Hm, it’s such a mystery. I guess we’ll never know.”
“Are you implying that it was because of me?” You can’t keep the skepticism out of your voice for the life of you.
“Oh, I wonder. Am I now?”
One thing you’re not going to do is talk about your love life with your boss, so you roll your eyes at him — he won’t fire you until the next day, and even that he’s unlikely to do — and walk out, saying something about needing to get back to work, which isn’t wrong.
In going back to the bar, you run face first into Jeongin’s smooth, hard chest, which is truly the cherry on top of everything that just happened. Strong hands grab onto your arms, stopping you from stumbling back, and concerned eyes plunge into yours, so deep you could drown in them.
“Shit, I’m sorry, are you okay?”
Great. You’re doing great.
“I’m fine,” you reply, squeakier than you’d like, “just need to get back to work.”
“What did Jin-Young say?”
That gives you a second of pause. You can’t just ask him flat-out in the middle of a shift on one of the busiest nights of the year if he likes you or not. You’re not wired that way.
“That he doesn’t see any issue if you’re not uncomfortable,” you answer instead of telling the truth.
Jeongin’s shoulders seem to relax, but the corners of his mouth turn down.
“Sorry, I really have to run,” you mumble, stepping out of his grasp. “If I don’t, Jihyo’s going to get crushed under all the customers. But I’ll— see you after my shift, okay?”
A spark of interest lights back up in his eyes. It’s quite silly, how happy and relieved it makes you all of a sudden. If, somehow, Jin-Young is right, and infuriatingly he often is, you’d hate to think that it was your comment that upset him. Which is why you allow yourself to tell him “Plus, it does look great on you”.
You do, then, turn on your heels and walk away like a coward before his jaw has even finished dropping.
The rest of the night is a blur, much like the first part. You do remember Jihyo glaring at you when you finally come back — you deserved that — and your legs and splitting headache very much remember that the customers did not let up once, but you don’t think you could give a single order you took that night.
Well, that’s a lie. You served far, far too many Bloody Maries, to the point where you ran out of tomato juice.
Still, your mind had mostly been trying to make sense of the various complicated thoughts that were swirling in your head all night. You had never allowed yourself to linger on the thought of Jeongin for too long. Of course you liked him, there was nothing to dislike about him. It wasn’t like the two of you hadn’t had moments.
New year’s day, the year before, when you’d known him for less than a week and he’d blushed terribly, refusing to meet your eyes, when the two of you found yourself under the mistletoe. Valentine’s Day, when you had covered for him as he was helping one of his friends who was in a crisis with his girlfriend at the time, and he’d gotten you roses the next day as a thank you. They’d come at a discount because it was the day after, he’d promised you.
Then, for your birthday, him and a few of your other colleagues had gotten you a cute necklace that he had told you, very smugly, that he’d picked out himself. He had an eye for these things, because as he tied it around your neck for you, you’d just fallen in love with it. He hadn’t been there for most of the summer though, and you had mostly written off the whole thing. The two of you didn’t see each other outside of work, and sometimes you lost touch with people, when you were a broke college student too busy trying to make ends meet to go out.
He’d come back in September, though, all tan and glowing and, okay, maybe your heart had given a little jump in your chest, but so what? Yes, Jeongin was hot. Big news. Maybe seeing him after two months meant that you weren’t that used to it anymore and that was why it got to you. But the tan had vanished as autumn set in more firmly, and your heart still insisted on doing that silly little thing sometimes when you laid eyes on him, or when he approached the bar with that wide, dimply smile of his.
It’s doing it tonight, as traitorous as ever, when you catch a glimpse of him in the very full room, still completely shirtless. Watching him isn’t helping with your conundrum though. You don’t have time to do it either way, but there are constantly women flirting with him, their whole body leaning towards him, and while you don’t blame them, not for a second, you can’t see what he’d have seen in you when he so clearly has his pick among all of them.
You’re not— you don’t lack confidence in yourself. You get hit on while on the job often enough that there’s no risk of that happening. You just haven’t had that much luck in the heart department. A guy like Jeongin, who’s hot, yes, but is even more importantly such a sweetheart, that’s… kind of unheard of, for you. Then, even if you do accept this premise, which you do very much question, for the record, there’s the fact that you work together, and if things go south, it could mean you would have to quit. You’ve been there before.
That’s if Jeongin even likes you. Jin-Young could have been wrong. You could be neck deep in delusion right now. You could be setting yourself up for the most crushing development of your life, because the more you’re allowing to think about it, the more your heart soars, and the less you can hide the ugly truth of your ridiculous crush on him.
Ugh. You’re going to kill your boss — that’s the most logical way out of this situation.
When you take your leave at 4 am, the bar is still bustling with life. It’ll be open all night, closing shortly before reopening at noon, but that is someone else’s problem. At least you can thank the past you for wearing flats despite the whole ‘dress sexy’ thing, because you’d be dead by now.
Jeongin’s putting a shirt on when you walk into the changing room, something that you find tragic but that’s probably for the best if you’re hoping to have a productive conversation.
“Got more numbers?” you ask, noting the doodling on his arms.
“I had to confiscate some people’s markers,” is what he sighs in reply.
“Maybe I should have gone harder on Jin-Young,” you mumble, anger filling you again at the thought. “But he said it was your idea to wear that, uh, costume, so I didn’t want to interfere, you know?”
Jeongin’s eyes turn into disks and it’s only then that you find yourself giving some credibility to what Jin-Young told you. Find yourself thinking that maybe, maybe?
“He… gave me the idea,” he says, slowly, eyes darting from the floor to the ceiling lights to the door on the other side of the room like he’s going to make a run for it.
“But among others, right?”
You’re doing everything you can to keep your tone light, turning your back towards him as you get your stuff from the locker, hoping that it makes your question sound casual and not like you’re fishing for information. Gosh, now you understand why kids slide across these little ‘do you like me? yes/no’ notes. This feels so silly. You’re a grown-up, you shouldn’t be dancing around the subject like that.
“Yes but that one was… Uh… Really low-effort.”
Right.
“He made it sound like he thought you were wearing it for someone in particular,” you say like you’d comment on the weather as you finish collecting yourself and turn to face him.
He’s still sitting there, frozen like a deer in headlights, eyes wide as saucers, staring, pleading for help. Your heart’s hammering in your chest. One of you is going to have to take the first step, and it’s the vulnerability of that step that terrifies you. You could have gotten it wrong. He could just be scared that you uncovered his crush on Jihyo, or Jeongyeon, or even on Changbin, for all you know.
Still, you’ll take the plunge. You glance at your nails like they’re a fascinating sight.
“I know I told you already, but I thought you looked great.”
He lowers his gaze immediately. It’s still not quick enough to stop you from seeing the wide grin that forms on his lips.
“Thanks,” he mumbles. It’s all… unhelpful. Could mean anything, and you’re all out of courage now. Then he looks up at you through black locks of hair, and you have to strain to hear what he says. “He was right.”
You blink.
“Who was?”
“I did wear it for you. Jin-Young told you, right?”
Regaining the control of your jaw after he just dropped that on you is way harder than it seems.
“Uh, yeah, yeah he did, what—”
“He just can’t keep his mouth shut.” Jeongin clicks his tongue as he gets up from the bench he was on, grabbing his bag as he does so. “But don’t worry about it, I won’t bother you.”
What?
“You don’t have to lie to make me feel better,” he grimaces, looking away once more. “It’s fine if you weren’t, um, into it.”
“No, I— I just told you.” Your mind flashes back to your first exclamation, and you’re not sure how to take it back or explain exactly what was on your mind without stuttering and making a fool out of yourself, again. “It caught me off-guard,” you explain slowly. “But I was very into it.”
Jeongin’s eyes are still wide, but they’re not filled with fear or surprise anymore. He takes a step towards you as you lean against your locker. You pray high and low that this is going where you think it’s going. As he gets closer and the air grows thicker between you, he seems to be searching for something in your expression that would tell him that he’s gotten the wrong idea, that he should step back. He still hasn’t found it by the time his body brushes against yours, and so he takes the next logical step.
His eyes close as he leans towards you, and you’re smiling when his lips meet yours. He kisses you slow and delicate, intent on savoring every second of it. One of his hands gently lifts your chin to get better access to you, the other coming down to grab your waist, and you arch yourself into him without thinking. The moment’s soft and sweet.
Then he gets even closer, and you wrap your arms around his neck, entangling one of your hands in his hair, and it turns a little less sweet. He goes from carefully tasting you to devouring you, pulling away from you briefly catch his breath before diving back in, his hips pushing you against the locker. Shamelessly, you allow one of your hands to come down to feel the muscles of his chest. He grins at that, nipping playfully at your lower lip, but that doesn’t mean you miss the shiver that runs through him then.
He grabs your hand before you get any lower though, and takes ahold of the other one before you can try anything else on that front, and easily pins them both over your head with just one of his. Then he keeps kissing you, long fingers running over your body oh so sinfully, without ever lingering too long. He takes his sweet time exploring you, and it’s only after a particularly suggestive movement of your hips that tears a moan from his lips, that he lets go of you, stepping away with a crimson blush marring his cheekbones.
“Sorry, I, uh, I might have gotten a little carried away.”
There he goes, not meeting your eyes, again, even after he just kissed the hell out of you.
“I was very into it too,” you hear yourself replying, and he chokes at that. You can’t help the brief laughter that spills from your lips. Cute.
“S-so, just so we’re clear, I’m not— I’d love to take you out. On a date.” He’s back again with the pleading look. “It’s not— it’s not just a physical thing.”
“That’s good,” you smile, leaning towards him in a suggestive manner. It’s just too easy to tease him. “I’d really like it if you took me out on a date.”
He frowns.
“If you keep looking at me like that, I won’t ever be able to do my job again and I’ll get fired.”
Again, you laugh. It just comes easy to you when you’re with Jeongin.
“Let’s see if you don’t get tired of me after one date before we start talking about you getting fired, hm?”
“That’s not going to happen,” he says, sounding far more confident than he has about anything else he’s said that whole evening, and wouldn’t you know it, there are butterfly swimming in your stomach now.
“How do you know?”
He leans in for another kiss.
“I just do.”
this might not make much sense and i'm sorry if it doesn't but i was just so happy to be writing again after such a long time :)))
i hope you all liked it and feedback in any form is always greatly appreciated!

I just wanted to say thank you for having this blog. You see, I got back into F1, because I watched drive to survive. I have a strange level of shame about that, because I feel like.. people don’t think I am a ‘real’ fan. Regardless of the fact I used to watch it every weekend as a child… I had fallen out of love with it, but D2S gave me an interest again. I felt a connection again, and it was lovely. I started to talk about it again, but I felt a little looked down on? Not only because I can’t always watch the races, because it costs money to do that. But because I really liked Max… and it became very apparent that that opinion was not shared by a lot of people… especially where I am from… I must say my husband doesn’t feel this way. He is very supportive of my new/old obsession.
So! I just wanted to say I am thrilled I found your blog… that’s all.
just thought you should know you have made one anon feel a little less alone!
Hello, anon, and welcome back to the F1 world!
First of all, I'm so sorry to hear that you feel looked down upon, and that people make you feel like you're not a "real" fan. But please let me make one perfectly clear: there is no "right" way to be a fan. You don't need to watch every race to be a fan.You don't need to spend money on merch or race tickets. You don't need to completely immerse yourself in the sport. And you certainly do not need to have watched the sport regiously since you were a kid. If you enjoy the sport and you consider yourself a fan, then that's what makes you a fan - that's all there is to it.
Falling out of love with a sport, or an interest, is not uncommon and although it sucks when it happens, there's nothing we can really do to stop it. But the fact that DTS made you feel a connection with the sport again is amazing, and I don't want you to let anyone tell you or make you feel that it doesn't make you a real fan. I'm personally not a fan of DTS myself because of how they portray so many drivers over-dramatize situations, but the fact of the matter is that the show has helped bring a lot of new fans into the sport, which I think is beautiful. All sports need new fans - and old ones! - and that's something that is never going to change. And the fact that there are certain people out there who want to gatekeep a sport is just insane to me.
Being able to share a love for a sport is one of my favorite things in the world, and in order for people to be able to do that, there obviously needs to be other fans of the sport.
I'm so happy to hear that your husband supports your F1 obsession - that's exactly what a partner should do, and exactly the kind of partner you deserve!
It fills me with warmth to know that you're happy to have found my blog and that it could make you feel a little less alone. There is truly no bigger compliment to me. And I really hope you'll enjoy my blog - rest assured you will never see any Max slander here!
You're seem so lovely, anon, and I hope you're having a beautiful day. Please feel free to stop by in my ask box (or in my DMs, should you ever want and feel comfortable to do so) any time you want. ❤️

Hello, Andrew here. This blog article was sent to me and I can assure you that this is not correct information but a reaction likely of those who were involved. This information likely stems from previous MoM or HM themselves, I guess, seeing that they have been banned properly recently (which I am only stating because you already stated it yourself, otherwise I would not give away who is or is not banned)
When I took over I made it very clear in an NB post that the harrassment of users, witch hunt on site, and generally toxic and disrespectful behaviour needs to stop. Everyone is more than welcome to share opinions, but this was not that, this was simply insanely rude behaviour that was based on wrong information given by the MoM/HM to the other leaders of WoP, who then compiled their letter. Which is also the reason why after all of this these other site leaders were put back into their positions after everything was cleared up.
I have banned a total of 4 people from 800-900 actives at the time for continuing their disrespectful behaviour and outright slandering (one of them later on) despite my very clear warning in the article (I was surprised that it was only so few, but almost everyone was just glad to be able to enjoy the website again). I also made an effort to respond to each single comment transparently and open minded. Many of the people who removed content or joined that group hype have talked to me, told me their opinions, and gave me the opportunity to work on their missing trust together. I am on good terms with almost all of the old staff with maybe 5 exceptions (MoM, HM for being the reason this went down and one old staff on bad terms; the other two people I am neutral towards as I never spoke with them and don't know their thoughts) Every old staff member who reached out to me has their own experiences and opinioms and don't always agree with me, but they are more than valued and often play important roles in our staff as well - whether student or grad. In fact, I really enjoyed every single talk with them and appreciate anyone who reached out despite their fear of rejection, as that takes a lot of courage
The old MoM and HM were banned later on, yes, you can feel free to ask them for the exact reason I put in. The previous behaviour of theirs is unwelcome on site, and they created a horrible environment for people at the time this happened, just because of a "money grabbing" feature that was completely changed back anyway for other reasons. One of them was still logging in on alt for reasons I don't really understand, because they made sure everyone knew their hate towards Dan and the site. So why log in almost regularly even after almost a year? I guess I know why ,but that is just an assumption, so I will not voice it here
Aside from that, if you paid attention to the site development, you would also see that since then (but not because of that), new users got free VIP, people with jobs get discount, linking accounts gets a whole 50% discount, and such
I am mostly replying to clear some things up because I don't enjoy reactions that are based on false facts. I wanted to stay on WoP US as a temporary solution, but the community has been loving and welcoming, which was really unexpected considering the circumstances they went through
This is something that happened almost a whole year ago now, I even unbanned one of the 4 bans that took place when I took over, so technically it is only 3
I hope that this could clear up confusion and misunderstanding. I would like to see this message public because I am mostly writing it for the very few that might end up seeing it. Considering the nature of this post, you already made up your mind about me and that is okay. But I want to give my insight first hand, as I don't enjoy someone trying to slander my name based on more accusations of those people who were banned for false accusations in the first place
Magical regards,
Andrew Sutherland (WoP US)
By the way, I am only asking this anonymously because of privacy concerns regarding this account (never use Tumblr anyway)
Added in a later message: "Andrew here again, please add this xD I saw that you have made clarifications regarding there possibly being more to these accusations, my response was mainly aimed towards the person asking the question, but I do admit that I thought that that message was originally from you, the blog writer, and only saw your response later on (I am not used to tumblr and on phone it doesnt show all on one screen, oops). Just wanted to clarify that as it may explain some wording of mine!"
No hard feelings on my side, thanks for the clarification! If I can share both sides of the story, that is what I want to do and you've allowed me to share yours. It's greatly appreciated and I hope this clears the air a little bit.
NOTE: I can't verify if this person is who they say they are, the anonymous submissions are anonymous to me as well. I have no reason to doubt or suspect that it's someone else writing in their name, but I want to note that with anonymity there is a risk of abuse and impersonation. I don't think that's the case here though.

hi loves! so i'm almost at 500 followers (which is insane), but i feel like, despite yapping constantly, i haven't fully introduced myself.
so hi! my name is dj and i’m 19. i live and go to university in the us. i'm also a part time barista (for now 😭), and, as much as i love my job, waking up at 4 am several times a week for less than minimum wage is just not working at all for me or my health.
ult group: seventeen (wonwoo biased. omg really that’s crazy?? 🫢)
semi-ult: ateez (yungi) and txt (yeonbin)
i also listen to a TON of girl groups. i just don't usually know all the members. but trust me when i say i have several full gg discographies memorized.
i'm an enfp and a leo. i tend to be pretty chatty, especially online, so never feel afraid to reach out!
i also have adhd which tends to entirely dictate my writing schedule. i can only write when i’m really feeling it and am able to focus on it greatly. i love writing as a way to relax myself and give myself a creative outlet when i’m stressed but god does it take a lot of brain power for me 😭
and i crochet! i’ve shared some of my stuff on this blog, but i do mainly tapestry work and some wearables (but i try to stay away from those because i end up spending months on something i never wear). i really want to learn how to knit this year too, but we’ll see how that goes.
recently, i’ve been a bit of a fiend on dress to impress. so if im not writing or working, that’s probably what i’m doing.
anyway, welcome to my little blog 💗
i hope you enjoy yourself while you’re here 😘

It’s a theme/persona for the most part! I am more of a kamidere/oujidere in private and e s p e c i a l l y with loved ones but it’s all in lighthearted fun.
Welcome to my blog btw 🫶🏽🩵 hope you enjoy the insanity.

Hello, and welcome to the Blog!
The place where practically all MakoRukkha content on Tumblr started! (i checked the MakoRukkha tag, theres literally nothing there, we are literally the only ones writing for it goddamn—)
My friend and I literally came up with this crackship on Discord and, after large amounts of time going insane about it there, decided to go "fuck it, we ball" and made a Tumblr for it!
This is a place for the two of us to brainrot about the ship and hope that you come to enjoy and brainrot with us as well! We make content when we can, be it art or writing, and generally just do it for funsies. This is quite literally just a crackship that we made with no lore backing or evidence (unless were fucking delusional and the dendro + electro reaction DOES have lore backing because wtf thats so weird and sus, also khaenriah is possibly underneath sumeru so tHERES A CHANCE MAKO CAME TO SUMERU TO HELP RUKKHA—)
We're very normal about this ship.
If you ever feel shy about sending in asks about our AUs and the ship, please don't be! I get it, it's incredibly nerve wracking to send asks and the stuff like that. We won't get sick of it, we promise! We'd love to have some attention and interaction with the community, especially about this ship because honestly, it just feels like the two of us in our little gremlin corner AHAHA— We won't get sick of it, and it won't come off as annoying or demanding because with the amount of shilling I'm doing right now, I'm pretty sure that I'm the demanding one AHAHA—
Please do note that we attend to this blog on our own time, so it may take some time for posts to be made, and asks and the like to be answered by either one of us, so please be patient with us!
Anyways, we hope that you enjoy your time here, be nice and respectful in the asks, subs, and comments, and have a wonderful day!

Hi Clari! It's the Japanese-speaking anon here. Is it possible to join the anon club? I wanted to use 説 this Kanji, because I remember one of the first times I talked to you I mentioned it literally has "older brother" in it, and also means to explain... which reminds me of Touya-nii. But if not, that's fine too!!
Also, I see you're super excited about FFXVI, which makes me so happy! I happen to work for Square Enix (which sounds so fake, I know, but seriously) so seeing you enjoying it makes me feel like, somehow, I'm able to give back to you in some way? I love love love your writing and it's a great feeling to give back through another art medium in a way that I hope affects you the same way that your writing affects me emotionally.
hi hi!! so lovely to hear from you again!! (´∀`)♡
omg absolutely, of course you can join the anon club with that kanji!!! welcome to the club 🥳🥳 i’ll add you to the list! <3
I AMMMMM LITERALLY I LOVE IT SO SO SO MUCH the story has blown me away and clive has already become SUCH a comfort character for me, genuinely it’s an incredible game and i am so happy. i am also going absolutely feral for 28yr old joshua like,,, honestly i apologize for what you may see in coming weeks LMAO (*/ω\*) tho i am making a final fantasy side blog so you may be able to spare yourself from my absolutely unhinged feralness for the rosfield brothers anD THEIR DADDY WHEW
wow that’s so flippin cool what!!!!!!! i’m totally jealous!!! holy shit that’s so insane i don’t even know what to say other than i’m so honoured to have you here and a massive thank you to everyone at square for delivering such a beautiful, emotional game. it truly is a masterpiece in every regard, it has made me sob and i’m not even done it yet. you guys did incredible and you should be so proud!!!
honestly i love clive as a character, i love his depth and his complexity and his HUMANITY. his struggles with ifrit and his struggles with accepting past mistakes is extremely relatable to so many people, and i feel like ifrit himself can be used as a metaphor for a lot of different things: everyone will interpret it differently and relate to it differently depending on who their are + their life experiences and background, and that’s one of my absolute favourite things about art. and it was done so beautifully with clive in that regard. i, for example, relate to it by seeing ifrit as a metaphor for mental illness; not for clive himself but for me, and that already has brought me such immense comfort. so yeah, this game has definitely affected me on a deep, deep emotional level <3 thank you so much, you are so so sweet and i am genuinely so glad (and also flattered!! wow!!!) to have you here with me!!
#hopefully my rambling above makes sense hahaha#i just feel like fantasy as a genre can be used as a metaphor for soooooo many different things depending on the story etc#but especially when the metaphor is some sort of uncontrollable monster within you#i think a *lot* of people can relate to that#or even thinking of your traumatic past as a monster#not that ifrit is a *monster* per se obv hahaha but you get what i mean#his presence can be interpreted in endless ways#and that’s only ONE aspect of this game!!!!!!!#i’m just super super character centered tbh like well written characters are of chief importance to me and they always trump narrative#so that’s why i’ve latched onto clive so much#but the story as a whole is absolutely beautiful (i spoiled the whole thing for myself bcoz i couldn’t wait HAHA)#anyway i am rambling again#i just have so much to say about this game#it’s gorgeous#your message made my day btw anon!!!!!!#this is sooooooo cool#but genuinely i apologize for the absolute filth i am going to write for these men#whew#please have a fantastic day and don’t forget to hydrated n stay safe!!!!#説.anon#clari gets mail

1st Official Blog!! (not another intro post, I promise)
Hello all and welcome to my first official post!
For these blogs I was wondering what order I should write them in— preference or chronological. If you have any opinions on the matter, please feel free to say so in the comments! :)
As for now, I figured tackling these blogs chronologically would be the most organized option, so without further ado, here are my opinions on season one of Supernatural!
Season 1 Opinions
Personally, I love season one. It has the charm that season 1-5 has while also being completely individualistic. Of course, this individuality can be chalked up to the fact the show runners were trying to decide whether they would continue to air on an episode by episode basis.
Despite it all, this season achieved a wonderful feat, as it would attracted thousands of viewers who would anxiously wait for the release of season two.
As a result, a very interesting take on a monster-hunter show was created. Nothing like Scooby-Doo, no, because all the monster research led to real monsters. Ghosts, Wendigos, Demons, and Shtigras are among the list of monsters Sam and Dean faced during their season one adventures.
The show also created an interesting plot-schema; each episode focusing on a specific monster hunt while all eventually tying into the overarching plot of our favorite boys finding their missing father. This kept the show fresh and fun to watch, and gave the show-writers the chance to introduce a new, fleshed out monster every episode, which helped greatly expand the fresh lore that was the Supernatural show.
What I love most about this season, however, is how it cements the brotherly relationship between Sam and Dean. These two cannot spend a moment without bickering, making fun of, or trying to prank one another. It’s clear to see just from season one that this will be a tale of two brothers that obviously hold a deep brotherly bond. I’m a sucker for a family, and family is something this show does right when it comes to Sam and Dean. While not shying away from their shared childhood traumas and grievances tied to their absent father figure, the show makes it clear that Sam and Dean have a bond that would be hard to find in anyone else except for each other, as they both have the shared experience of being raised monster-hunters.
All in all, I adore season one! I find myself rewatching the pilot on repeat just to see Dean and Sam tackle “the lady in white” ghost. It’s unique and it’s a season I believe can hook even the most assuming of viewer!
My Favorite Character for season 1 is (drumroll please)…
Dean Winchester !!!!!
From the very first episode, this man had me hooked. From his snarky attitude to his constantly flirty retorts, there was something about him in season one that has had me hooked from the ages of 14 to 21. He’s funny, he’s witty, and he’s got an insanely nice leather jacket. It was my first, and maybe my only time, finding a deep love for the playboy-archetype character.
In season one he rugged, and it’s clear he uses humor when a majority of people wouldn’t. He’s a lighthearted contrast to his worrying younger brother, while also consistently being a big brother figure— it’s a big feat!
Other than that, young Jensen Ackles is an absolutely gorgeous man. Just look at those eyes!
My favorite scene:
This scene depicts the first of Dean’s many encounters with law enforcement.
youtube
and that concludes my first blog!
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing this! I love talking about Supernatural and will take any and all opportunities to speak on the show. If you’ve watched the show yourself, let me know if you agree with my opinions on season one in the comments! I would also love to hear who your favorite characters are!! :)
Well, until next week! Later, assbutts!

First post, here goes nothing. Just to clear up what this post is for, it's an introduction of me for anyone who stumbles upon this blog on this forsaken site.
My name's Basil, but you can call me Gold since its a nickname of mine. Im 19 years old and soon be 20 in January 2025. Also I'm a dude, sorry about the weird name, my parents are insane.
I'm 19, super into TWEWY, Pokemon, JetSetRadio and mostly sega games. Also a big platformer fan, so Rayman is just as much my cup of tea as sonic is.
I'm most notable for my appearances on AttorneyOnline under the mame of "Gold" from 2020-2021 as a Meme Casings Community regular in The ChillZone. Once again, I'm returning to the site in 2023, frequenting New Outer Heaven and Hope Despair Force. I'm known within niche communities since i dont like coming out of my comfort zone very much.
Also, for anyone who may or may not be curious, I happen to be LGBTQ+ and Polyamerous. I also happen to be Christian, but I have no qualms with any communities that don't typically align with Christianity - I mean... I'm literally Polyamerous and gay, so.
Oh right also I speak a little of quite a few languages, Norwegian and English (British, not American, much of the language was changed to cut costs on printing papers back in ye olden days by Americans.) being my two main ones, whilst im currently learning French.
That should be about everything important, really? I'm gonna try to really settle into this site for once and try to enjoy my time here. If anyone has questions about me, my life, interests, religion and so on, youre very much welcome to help yourself to my ask box ♡
Here's my Carrd.co link;

hi can I request what would happen if chris and y/n went to the Oscars and maybe y/n felt a little anxious about it ... I hope this is OK thanks Angela 😊
Be you
Pairing: Chris Evans x reader
Summary: The only cure for your anxiety : Chris Evans.
Word count: 2.095 words
Warnings: anxiety, insecurity, Zendaya being a queen, Fluff
A/N: Hey, thank you so much for your request! When you guys send me requests, it makes my day. I tried my best writing your request, Angela. Hope you had something like this on your mind <3
English is not my first language, so I apologize for any grammar mistakes. Feedback and requests are always welcome.
Enjoy! <3
This is an 18+ Blog. I do NOT give permission for my work to be translated or reposted on here or any other site.
“Honey, are you ready yet?”
You weren’t. At least not mentally, but that wasn’t what Chris was possibly asking or thinking about. He wasn’t thinking at all when he asked you to be his date to the Oscars.
Blaming him would be childish, since you are his girlfriend and it’s the most normal thing in the world to ask you to be his date. There was no act of force, either. You could’ve easily said no. But you didn’t, because you were stubborn like that.
Your stubbornness was the reason for your anxiety now.
“Uh Chris, gimme a couple of minutes!”
You scoffed, like a couple of minutes could cure your heartbeat and the fact that your hands were shaking so hard that it looked like there was an earthquake. Why did you say yes? You were going to go there, everyone was going to laugh at you for being ugly, Chris was going to see it too and dump you and you would be back to zero in your life.
Just when you thought of escaping through the window, just like Rachel did in Friends, Chris walked in the bathroom.
“God, honey, look at you. The prettiest woman I have ever seen. Are you nervous about going with me to the Oscars?”
While Chris was waiting for an answer to his question, you were wondering how soft his velvet suit would feel. He looked insanely sexy and you couldn’t believe he was all yours.
“Uh, you okay there Y/N?”
Instead of saying ‘no Chris I’m actually nervous, I don’t want to go I’m going to have a panic attack’ you said : “Pfft, you kidding? I’m totally fine. Let’s go. I am so excited.”
Yep, you were going to die tonight.
“Chris, over here, man! Look this way!”
You had never seen so many cameras together in your whole life. Flashing lights, celebrities who were posing, interviewers with their questions. It all made too much noise inside your brain. Every click sound of your camera made you flinch more.
Chris, noticing you getting uncomfortable, hugged you tighter and started giving you kisses on your forehead.
“Just be you, baby, just be you.” Whispering this in your ear was a great idea to Chris, but it was actually one of the worst. You didn’t want to be yourself because everyone would hate on you. Faking that you were okay was the best scenario for you, and for Chris. This way Chris could enjoy his night and you wouldn’t embarrass him.
Chris spotted Zendaya and Andrew Garfield and walked towards them, knowing that Zendaya could comfort you in a way he couldn’t. He knew you weren’t fine, and that you were lying to him. He saw it on your face. Your lips quivered, and your eyes were not shining when you smiled like they always did.
He hated it, but he knew. He was the reason for your anxiety. Chris couldn’t imagine going to events without you by his side.
“Omg, hey girl, how are you?” Zendaya embraced you in a hug while Chris and Andrew greeted each other with a handshake.
“I’m good. Thanks for asking. Where is Tom?” You prayed to the lord that Zendaya wouldn’t notice your anxiety. Because if she did, that meant that Chris did too and you’ve been lying for nothing.
“Oh, you know him. He doesn’t like red carpets, makes him extremely nervous. Speaking of, how are you holding up? Are you okay? You look a little tense.”
Not having the power to lie anymore, you told your best friend the truth.
“I’m freaking out and think I’m gonna have an anxiety attack. I can’t handle all the cameras on me. The fact that Chris is happy is killing me because I don’t want to ruin that a-"
“Hey hey, calm down, okay? Take a deep breath. Let’s get you to the bathroom.” She turned to where Chris and Andrew were still talking, and gave Chris a sign that the two of you were going.
“Chris, Y/N and I are going to the bathroom real quick. We’ll catch up with you guys later, okay?”
You tried to give one of your best fake smiles to show him that everything was okay. Why couldn’t you be honest with your own boyfriend? Chris just nodded and walked toward you to give a kiss on your forehead.
“I’ll see you later, okay? I love you so much baby, you do not know how much.” Scenting his smell was like taking a hot shower on a hard day. Your body relaxed completely, and you finally took a deep breath without shaking. He took off with Andrew while you and Zendaya went to the bathroom.
“ I could tell you to wash your face, but your makeup looks too good for that.” That was the first time you’ve actually smiled that night without faking it. Zendaya always knew how to cure your anxiety, even before you and Chris met.
“Tell me what’s going on in your head right now Y/N, walk me through it.” Lookin at her face, you saw she was concerned for you. After taking a deep breath, you told her everything. How scared you were that Chris was going to leave you. The scare you had that people would judge you and your outfit, basically everything that was going in circles in your head right now. Telling her your problems was always easy since she listened to you without judging.
“I just can’t do it anymore, Z. The only time I felt relaxed tonight was when I smelled Chris’ scent. How do you guys do it? Tell me how you can just stand there looking like a goddess when thousands of cameras are taking pictures of you without feeling nauseous.” How the hell was are you going to support Chris in the media world when you can’t even survive in it?
“You know what I understand from what you just told me? That Chris was your only person who helped you in this entire case. You don’t have to be here Y/N. Tell him you don’t want to go to these events. I mean, look at Tom, he doesn’t wanna go since it makes him nervous. I’m not forcing him just because he’s my boyfriend. Instead, I respect his choice and feel grateful that he trusts me enough to share his emotions with me. Communicate with him. That’s the key here. And don’t tell me about that ‘I have to support him’ crap, cuz there are other ways to support him. Believe in his dreams, show that you love him. I don’t know repost the trailers of his new movies and tell how proud you are. But please, talk to him. It’s gonna make you feel so much better. Girl, what are you gonna do when he smells awful one day, huh?”
The both of you were laughing at the joke. The difference was that you had tears in your eyes and she didn’t. Zendaya was totally right. The only thing that you should’ve done was to communicate with Chris and tell him you don’t want to go to big events. He would understand, he always did. Not believing in your own stupidity, you gave Zendaya a big hug. Or at least tried, since she was extremely taller than you.
“Thank you for your encourage, Z. You’re right, I have to talk to him. And damn girl, that was a wonderful speech. Made me want to thank my makeup artist for using waterproof mascara.”
Smiling once again, she broke the hug and gave you a look that you saw many times before.
“Now talk to your man before I make you, go! I have to fix my lip gloss. But if you don't, I know where to find you and talk to Chris myself!"
When you left the bathroom, Chris was standing there looking at his phone.
“Chris, where is Andrew? Were you waiting for me?”
Looking up from his phone, he gave you one of his biggest smiles that made you melt like an ice cream on a hot summer day.
“Oh, Andrew went inside already. I wanted to wait for you. Are you okay, honey? You looked different the whole night and I don’t know why. Talk to me, baby, please.”
Reminding yourself about Zendaya’s wise words, you talked to him about your feelings.
“Chris, you know I love you, right? I’ll support every decision you make and follow you to the end. But these events, I can’t do this anymore. Every click of a camera makes me flinch. I hate the fact that people are looking at us and thinking that I’m ugly and not worthy of your love. And yes, I should’ve said no when you asked me, but I couldn’t. You look so happy and excited every time I say yes, disappointing you is the last thing I want to do in this world. Accept my apology for not coming to you and explain my feelings sooner. And thank Zendaya, since it was her idea.”
This was the third time you didn’t fake your smile the entire night. And the second time that Chris’ smile melted you instantly.
“Thank you for sharing your feelings with me. You don’t know how much that means to me. You think I love these kinds of events? I hate them so much. The only reason I get excited when you say yes is the fact that your scent calms me down and is the cure to my anxiety. When you stand next to me, looking like an angel from heaven that blessed me with their presence, it makes me the proudest person in the world. You know why? Because you chose me, honey. You chose me to love, to support, to hold. Can you believe how incredibly lucky is that I am the chosen one? Your name is in every prayer of mine, Y/N. So if you don’t want to go to an event, tell me. I want to be the last person on earth to make you feel anxious. Don’t be another person for me. Be you, baby. That’s all I want.”
The second speech of the night that made you cry. Your makeup artist was going to have a big raise after this.
“You and you poetic words, Evans. How can you say those things without practicing them?”
Taking you in a hug and smelling your scent, Chris whispered in your ear so gently that you got goosebumps.
“Because I love you, baby. You’re my muse. My definition of love. Let’s get out of here. What do you say?”
Looking deep in his eyes, the two of you enjoyed each other's presence. His poison and cure was you and your poison and cure was him. You wished that the world could see how much you loved Chris. But the world didn’t matter right now. He did.
“Actually, I want to see if Andrew is going to win the Oscar. I want to be there for him.”
Giving you a look, Chris wanted to make sure you were okay with staying.
“I wanna stay, we can go after they announce best actor. Plus, my anxiety is much better right now and I want to sit down because my heels are killing me.”
Taking your hand in his, the two of you walked inside the enormous hall. While he was searching for your seats, you were looking at the celebrities. There were so many celebrities gathered together, it freaked you over once again.
After sitting at the right places, Chris looked at you with a concern.
“You sure you want to stay? I’m sure that Andrew won’t mind if we’re not here when he wins.”
You pressed your lips to his, sharing the same breath. You put your hands on his thigh and neck, while he hugged you closer to him. after a couple of seconds, he released you with a proud smile.
“I am completely fine. Your scent certainly helps me calm. Just stay with me and everything will be fine.”
Kissing you once again, Chris couldn’t be happier with you. He felt lucky that you shared your feelings with him and promised himself something at that moment. He would never take you to this sort of events and would not go himself other than his own movie premiers.
“Whatever you say, honey, I support every decision you make. I love you so much."
"Oh look, Chris Rock is on stage. Looks like we're gonna have a good time."

First off, want to say I really been enjoying all of your posts! There’s so much content to get through since I’m catching up after becoming an army for the first time in January. Your blog has become an indispensable resource!
As for the question I have. I’ve been watching the rise of bangtan series on YouTube, which is phenomenally put together and fantastic for giving me a sense of the actual timeline of how things went down. Have you seen it? I’m hoping you have, because my question is about the series. Am I alone and thinking that Jimin gets shortchanged, and that the editors tend to prefer clips with tkk? Granted that Im only on episode 13, but… Watching it, I don’t get a sense of Jimin as having strong relationships with any of the members really, which is incredible to me given how involved with all of them he is, and how close he and Jungkook are.
More broadly, its surprising to me how easy it is to cut that content out, or neglect to include it, even despite the pleeeeeeethora of jikook moments throughout the years. I guess this is why you always say to go back to the source material. Any edit has an agenda, even if it’s a subconscious one. Even if it’s trying to be fair.
Hi, I have watched them! In all fairness it's it's AWHILE since I've seen it. Lol so Idk how good my judgement is. I will say perhaps it's your own bias that's making you notice taekook moments included? Other people can feel free to jump in here. I never got the feeling that anyone or anyone's bond was being over shadowed while I was watching those episodes. But again, its been a while. So I could be wrong, I just don't remember having those thoughts as I watched it the first time.
They did have to cut ALOT of stuff though for those episodes. They were mostly focused on BTSs journey as a whole and not necessarily their friendships with each other. So yes, there is a plethora of jikookery no matter what year you are looking at, but of course its not going to all get jncluded. Everyone's bonds are going to have moments cut. Lol BTS has an insane amount of content out there. Again though, it's been a while! But yes, it all comes back to going and watching the content for yourself. Nothing included in these episodes is going to have the full moment, it literally just can't. It's impossible. Lol so it's an amazing starting point for ARMY, especially baby army, but it's not a replacement for seeing a lot of this yourself either!
Sorry, I feel like I wasn't much help here. Lol but thank you so much for all your kind words! And welcome to the fandom! Feel free to DM me if you ever need to 🥰🥰
(Bonus vmin in here because I love them!)
