moonlight
three
eddie holds her close as she lies on his chest. he stares at the ceiling before simply looking at his girlfriend. eddie still couldn’t believe it. yn yln was his girlfriend!
she was by far the prettiest girl in hawkins high. sure, others would say it’s tammy but they’d be wrong. yn was breathtaking to eddie. she might be an angel forreal, he wouldn’t know nor would he care. he was in love.
eddie never expected to find love. after his mother died and his father was sent to jail, eddie was constantly shamed by the whole town of hawkins. the ten year old boy was confused. he was just a boy, a simple little boy who lost his mom and dad in less than three years from each other. he was shunned for the crimes his father committed. people expected him to be nothing but a criminal just like his old man. eddie only did what he could do. he put all his anger into his favorite game, dungeons and dragons! he became an excellent dungeon master. it was his rage that made him good. then his uncle introduced him to the guitar.
eddie became good at playing. he started writing music and finding other kids who were labeled as ‘freaks’ to for a band. they were actually pretty fucking good. unfortunately they listened to that ‘devil worshipping’ music. with how closed minded the fuckers in hawkins were, he was only shunned even more. people started labeling him as a cult leader. and creating a club named ‘hellfire’ where you play a game that’s getting bad press didn’t help his case. but eddie didn’t care. he couldn’t have care less about what these dumb fucks think of him. eddie knew he’d make a name for himself, he knew he’d be successful and prove everyone who ever doubted his abilities wrong.
his mother was the only person that pushed eddie. his mom letting him know he was somebody and the whole world will know his name. and still ‘till this day he believed her. her words always left an impression on him. and then he met her.
god, when he first laid eyes on her, she was mesmerizing. the way the sun shined in her hair, her eyes glowed brightly, her smile lit up his heart. she was fucking perfect. finding out she’d been the daughter of a preacher, knowing how this town looked at him, knowing what her parents might think if they saw him. he knew he had no shot with her. not a single bit. but he was so wrong.
when she approached him he thought she’d been confused at first. ‘no fucking way is she actually talking to me. no one she knows my name. no fucking say man!’ but she did. she knew who eddie had been and she didn’t give a fuck what anyone else thought of him. she thought eddie was beautiful, unique, intriguing, intelligent, funny, and handsome.
eddie still has yet to believe she wanted him just as much as he wanted her. and here he is, six months later dating her. six months of kisses, six months of hand holding, six months of tight hugs, six months of i love you. six whole months since you gave him a chance. he thanked his lucky stars every single second of every single day. he promised he wouldn’t mess this up.
it’s one reason why he hesitated to make love to her. he knew it would be her first time. he didn’t want to hurt her and he knew how much she vowed to stay a virgin until marriage. but then her words made his heart flutter. “‘m not worried ‘bout that eds. i know in my heart you’re my forever. in a way, im giving myself to my husband.” he spent the rest of the night worshipping her body. eddie simply looks at her once more. kissing her forehead gently before whispering in her ear “goodnight, wife.” he truly been lucky.
Tumblr media
looking at her now has only made his heart hurt. that night was something he’d cherish forever. it was the moment he knew, or at least thought, he’d marry her.
then he woke up one morning hearing the rumors about her family suddenly moving. he didn’t believe it at first. but when he passed by her house and saw the for sale sign, his heart shattered. he assumed her family found out she’d been dating eddie and took her away. the one thing that made eddie really happy in a long time. eddie wasn’t sure why he assumed something would actually be great for once. he should have known better.
the night she left he was reminded of the last thing his father told him before he got arrested for good. “the munson men are cursed, kid! i should have known your mom being my ticket to happiness was just a sick joke god played on me. we munson men, we’re only good for being a slave for the man, or being criminal, no in between. we don’t get the fairytale happy ending. it’s no princess waiting in the castle for us with a shit ton of doe. we are who we are. if i taught you anything kid, remember that.”
he was absolutely right. what a fucking fool he’s been to fall for it.
“hey, why don’t we all go to the play room, yeah? maybe start building something with the legos?” nancy grabs all the kids, including kali. eddie hadn’t notice the little girl who looked identical to him. he’d been too busy staring at her.
she gives him an awkward smile. looking down at her feet before clearing her throat. “it’s so much i have to tell you, eds. i just don’t know where to start.”
eddie simply shakes his head. “you don’t need to explain yourself to me, yn. i know your parents probably found out about us.”
her eyes begin to water. he could tell she wanted anything to hold his hand, hug him, and kiss him as if it were their last. he knew that look. it’s never changed.
“it’s deeper than that. i—eddie what my parents did wasn’t okay. what this town has done to you was never okay. seeing you as some kind of—it’s disgusting eddie. you were just a young boy when it started. i don’t know how you did it, eds. i still don’t! you’re the strongest man i know.”
eddie gives her a half smile. he didn’t have much to say. he wanted her to speak. mostly because he missed her voice. it feels good hearing her again.
she simply closed her eyes before sighing. eddie assumed she was holding back tears. he had been doing so the moment he saw her face.
“just gonna rip this off like a bandaid. eddie, the reason why my parents forced us to leave was due to my pregnancy,”
she looks at eddie. he just gives her a blank stare. she frowns not knowing if he heard her. but as soon as his hands connect with his mouth she knew he did.
“i—they just barely made friends in this town. my father being a preacher, he couldn’t risk this town looking at his daughter as the ‘town slut.’ or the ‘freaks mistress.’ so he moved us and forced me to sign my right away to my, our kid. after a few years i couldn’t take it anymore. her seeing me as her older sister and not her mother, it felt so wrong eddie. i—i tried to get to hawkins but i didn’t have enough money. not for food, clothes, shelter, nothing! i knew i had to get my life together to being a single mom. so i moved in with my grandmother and saved and saved and saved. i worked many jobs, barely getting any sleep, making sure our baby was fed, telling her about her dad. i sacrificed a lot to get back to you, eds. so we could get back.” when she finished eddie stared at her. he soaked all the information in.
she bites her bottom lip before hearing footsteps running towards her. she looks down as she feels arms wrap around her. “im hungry, mamma.”
eddie simply bends down. he looks at the little girl. she had her hair in two simple braids, she was wearing an orange rugrats t-shirt, a pair of overalls, and a necklace with an e on it.
eddie cried. he couldn’t believe it. he was a dad! eddie was a father to the cutest kid. he didn’t even know her but he already loved her. she had his eyes. he knew he’d do anything just from one look. this little girl already had him wrapped around his finger. he still couldn’t believe that he was a father.
“mamma.” the little girl whispers. she gestured for her mom to bend down.
“why’s the curly haired man crying? did i do something, mamma?” the little girl questioned.
eddie simply laughs through his tears.
“no, baby. it’s just—remember how mamma said one day she’s gonna take us home to daddy?”
the little girl simply nods her head. “well baby, the curly haired man is crying because he’s your dad and he loves you. he’s just feeling overjoyed.”
“oh! can—can daddy take us to dinner?”
eddie noticed she was going to decline. eddie simply shakes his head with a smile before nodding at his daughter gently.
“yeah, let’s—let’s get some food.” eddie whispers.
Tumblr media
eddie watches as his daughter plays in the mcdonalds playroom. she was definitely a mini version of himself. he’s learned that she’s a talker.
the whole time they’d been eating she told eddie pretty much her entire childhood. eddie listened to every word. he loved listening to her babble.
he couldn’t believe that just a few hours ago he was just a man. a man who suffered for the last six years without the only woman he’s ever loved. now that same woman is back in his life and brought him someone precious to spoilt.
god, eddie felt like he now had a purpose in life again. he still had so much work to do within himself. with everything that happened in the upside down. he’s so grateful that dustin and steve carried him out. he would miss this very moment of his life if he died down there. he owed everything to those two. he owed everything to the doctors that saved his life as well.
“so, we should probably discuss somethings.” eddie turned. he completely forgot that the woman he loved, the woman he still loved, was right in front of him.
“nance told me that you almost died, eds.”
here it goes. the seriousness of his life. he knew they’d have to talk about it at some point. he wasn’t quite ready to tell her everything. she didn’t need to know everything! it’s not like she’d believe him anyway. who would believe that a simple fantasy game could be reality?
“i—i did.”
“im sorry, eds. i—i couldn’t imagine what you went through. nance didn’t tell me much. she said that you tried to save the town even after they tried to pin you for murder. may i ask who died?”
eddie clears his throat. he didn’t know how to answer her. telling her that the girl he had a crush on before meeting her, was inside of his house. it would probably devastate her. she knew of his crush on the cheerleader. she’d probably think they’d been together.
but he knew her as well. she could sense a lie a mile away. he didn’t wanna lie to her.
“chrissy.”
“cunningham? how did she—how did she die?”
eddie scratches the back of his head. he bites his bottom lip before looking into her eyes.
“it’s hard to explain, yn. she just—it was the most terrifying thing i seen in my life and im still facing the hell it put me through.”
thankful his girl was understandable. she never pushed eddie into revealing anything he wasn’t ready for. that’s something he’d always love her for.
“i hope this won’t affect whatever this is.” eddie points between the two.
“eddie, we’ve both changed over the last six years. i had our daughter and also had to deal with my toxic parents. you had to deal with seeing someone die and almost dying yourself. we still have so much to work on, eds. for the sake of our family, for our daughter, i think we both need to have professional help. nance tells me you’re already in therapy. that’s great, eddie! means you want to get better. and that’s exactly what kali needs. she needs both her parents to be stable and happy! im looking for a therapist myself. i think until we can figure things out for our kid, we shouldn’t be seeing each other. not romantically. i don’t think either of us are ready for that.”
eddie nods his head. he wants her back. wants to be with her and only her. but he knew mentally, he wasn’t ready for that just yet. eddie had a little ways to go before starting a relationship with anyone. he loves her with his whole soul. but he couldn’t ruin something so pure and beautiful when he’s suffering. he needs time to grow. especially now that he’s a dad.
“i love you eds. ill always love you. you’re my person, okay? and i—i want us to be together. i just want us to be together properly. we deserve to give kali, and ourselves time to learn each other again and time to heal.”
“i agree. i just want to be apart of her life yn. your parents took six years away from me. six years of not knowing where you were or if you were safe. and six years of not knowing i had a daughter. promise me you won’t take that away?”
“i could never! so, we’ll figure this out?”
eddie looks at his kid once more. he gives her a simple nod. “we’ll figure this out.”

some lookism childhood headcanons
i imagine hyungseok as one of those really cute kids that resemble marshmallows. he's just so soft and round and giggles when you pick him up and spin him around!!! his mom would take him to work with her and her coworkers would give him all sorts of snacks and pocket money. he's like a bouncing ball of pure sunshine.
johan as a kid would be extremely intrigued with religious imagery. he would often try to memorise the architecture of the church his mother takes him to, and then try to draw them when he's bored.
i also imagine that johan's an amazing artist, and the god dog logo is his own design. when he was small, johan would always want to participate in art competitions, but art supplies are a luxury so he gives up on that desire pretty fast. he conveys the same to his mom, who praises him for being a sensible child as johan sniffles on her shoulder against a tattered cardigan that smells like home.
samuel was always too little for his age, and never managed to eat until he was full. either his mom would scream at him for being within her sight for too long, or he would lose his appetite seeing her face.
he watches his mom's TV soaps from a corner and sees everyone being nice to the handsome and capable male lead, and starts believing that people only care for what they cannot have. so, he too, will become someone unattainable by everyone.
samuel is too angry for someone that scrawny, so the seniors always beat him to pulp. but, he never cries. instead, if the other boys would listen closely, they would hear him mutter under his breath, "i am gapryong kim…" (yes this is about kdj telling himself that he's yjh from orv)
jake as a kid is very easy to please. he's like a porcelain doll that you have to poke in order to get a reaction, but once he knows you, he clings and never lets go.
teen jake is almost a carbon copy of young gapryong, but when he smiles, he looks exactly like his mom. but, years of living with his dad make his smiles dim in frequency, so the resemblance goes unnoticed.
growing up, jake would probably hate mirrors as he is reminded of how much his appearance starts resembling his dad's, when he looks into one. his relationship with his mom grows strained because he doesn't want her to be in pain when she is inevitably reminded of gapryong when she looks at him, so he always tries to disappear from her sight, and eventually runs away from home, not knowing his future in a gang where, in order to be with those his loves, he must become inseparable from his dad's violence.
zack is a typical rich kid who always gets what he wants. he is very into superhero movies and comics, and is an idealist who takes inspiration from his favourite characters. he too wishes to save his friends and protect his love just like the figures wearing flowing capes on the screen, drawn on the pages of his books.
vasco is also into action-comics and superheroes, but he is the one who wants to be “saved.” like he looks at his mom struggle financially and emotionally as a single-parent and wonders what a saviour would look like, when they would arrive. (i think one of the many reasons he becomes breakdak's student is because he feels he is accompanying an invincible force that can guide him in his path to save others, and thus, save himself.)
vasco’s morality also stems from the absolute goodness of heroes, where he is a stickler for reform within the boundaries of pre-established rules and codes of moral conduct.
jace as a kid is a nightmare. u know they say that kids are blunt but jace takes it to a whole another level. you CANNOT lie to him, in front of him, about him because he WILL expose your lies. his analysis goes crazy and adults are a bit scared of him. santa? “i know it’s you, dad.” “H-HOW???” “i just know. also you left the house at 8 in the evening and returned with exactly 5000 won missing from your wallet. The price of chocolate-” “OKAY. OKAY. STOP. JESUS”
goo’s weird and off-putting vibes have accompanied him from the womb. he mutilated insects by plucking out their wings and trapping them under glasses before torturing them in “the fly : short story by katherine mansfield” style. there isn’t much to say except he probably committed arson before reaching the age of twelve.
gun is the gojo satoru of lookism like the balance in the yakuza was shifted after his birth. yes the power he inherits is a burden to him but he loves having the burden and being the sole one to possess it.
he feels no genuine emotions or connections to anyone at all, as if he and the world around him are separated by an impenetrable wall, the strong existing on the pinnacle of a lonely mountain towering over the weak.
the only emotion that gets to him is the sense of pure ecstasy he feels during fights, the thrill of fighting just for the sake of it, the enjoyment of enacting violence unto his enemies bcz he knows he is at the top (on heaven and earth, i alone am the honoured one)
that’s it for now!!! hope that clears my brainrot amen.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Almost every encounter Yi Joo has with others feels like a battle of wits and willpower, and while she doesn't necessarily win all of them, she doesn't lose a single one of them either, and keeps soldiering on with her smarts, honesty, and literal never-say-die attitude, because in a way, she is fighting for her life, or at least to make sure that once she dies she doesn't regret the little that might be left of it. Thanks to it, she gradually starts to win over Do Guk's mom, who unwittingly can't help but be intrigued and impressed by her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her plan to pit the two sisters against each other and get rid off Yi Joo as the one inadequate, and thusly to separate The wheat from the chaff, both backfires on her and works in the best of ways, because Yi Joo and her unwavering honesty shines even more when compared directly to Yu Ra and her sycophantic lies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If it were anyone else but Cha Yeon Hwa, they would have preferred Yu Ra with her fake polish, but Do Guk's mother really wants the best woman for her son, and contrary to what she expected she met her in Yi Joo, in who she can see herself reflected and to who she is actually drawn, even if she doesn't realise that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First his mother and then his sister, this man can never escape the secondhand embarrassment caused by his family members in front of his 'fake' fiancée he wants to impress so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally someone thinks of the man who will be signing the marriage registration and saying 'yes' at the wedding ceremony. I bet his mom wants at least one grandchild out of his marriage and Do Guk not only barely looks at Yu Ra whenever he meets her, he also looks like he rather would willingly drive himself off a cliff than to sleep with her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even when she tries to blatantly seduce him, he only thinks of Yi Joo.

My darling, honey ; Jeon Wonwoo
Tumblr media
WARNING ! spicy part ahead (not detailed but still NSFW)
part 2 is here!
'Don't be nervous, don't be nervous' you screamed internally at the naughty thought you bore in mind. You are finally married to Jeon Wonwoo, your mom's friend's son and he was taking a shower in your very own room.
Just 8 years ago, you first met him at the clubhouse. He was a high school senior and five years older than you. It was love at first sight and you couldn't deny how much you yearned for his attention the whole year.
Learned that he has had no girlfriend since ever, you thought about standing no chance of being with him. Then, it became serious when you prayed to God every Sunday without your mom knowing.
After he finished his college entrance exam, you began to fret. He soon will leave the house for university and there must be many pretty girls he will lay eyes upon.
You felt like the probability decreases every passing year and it drove you insane. Until you actually pulled up some bravery and confessed to him.
He rejected you on the first attempt and the heartbreak was tremendous that you emptied 2 bottles of alcohol that night. He had to take you home and into your room. Your mom trusted him since she had seen him growing up before her eyes.
It was then, in your room, Wonwoo discovered your love for him wasn't casual. And little did you know, he had asked you. "Did you really like me?"
Your mind was in a haze and subconsciously you clung around him and whined. "Why you don't like me? I like you, i like you, i like you,"
Wonwoo was feeling overwhelmed by the proclamation. He concealed his bewilderment and pushed you away, saying, "You reek of alcohol," While you really smelled not the nicest, Wonwoo lied you down properly and tucked you in, lest you catch a cold.
Deep down, Wonwoo had no idea why you would like him. He found himself thinking about your love profession and every encounter at the clubhouse made him slightly guilty.
You still pined for him and it seemed like your prayers had been answered the day when Wonwoo asked you out for a drink. It was a friendly invitation and you still enjoyed every second of it.
The happiness on your face softened Wonwoo's heart. He walked you home and before he let you go inside, he halted you. The heavy words he kept throughout the night eventually were voiced out in a single sentence.
"You know I never date a girl and the reason is, I date to marry. So if we were to date then I don't wish it to be a fleeting relationship,"
You knew you were going to be embarrassed by your response but you just had to say it. "What a coincidence, I don't find short-lived relationships intriguing," you sniffed and wiped your tears off. Laughing away, you added, "So are we a couple now?"
And it was a dream come true for you.
You both started dating and it lasted for four months when he bought you a ring to propose on your birthday. Two months engaged and married.
Breaking you out of the reverie, Wonwoo stroked your head and told you to take a shower before going to sleep. It was a tiring day and all you'd been thinking is the deed.
Wonwoo, on the other hand, couldn't bear to touch you since he was worried that you'd be exhausted from the day. He only managed to satisfy his hormonal turbulence by caressing your hair.
That night, after Wonwoo took the glass of milk he brought for you, he hugged you to sleep. "Why are we sleeping? Won't we need to consummate our marriage?" you asked, dead serious.
Wonwoo laughed and kissed your forehead. "You'll worry about it later. Now, sleep because you have a class tomorrow," he softly said. Seeing your irritated expression, he had to cajole before you finally gave in and slept.
People always said the person you love may not be what you expect after wedlock but it wasn't the case for you. Wonwoo may not have the best experience in treating a girl but he sure treats his woman right.
[Honey, don't forget your lunch box. I made your fav so make sure to finish it]
[Honey, I'm out to buy the groceries. Take a nap first after you read this]
[Honey, it's your birthday today. Go celebrate with your friends and tell me if you're done. I'll pick you up]
Wonwoo loves to call you honey and every time, you feel like your heart is about to melt. His gentleness was all you live for and it had you wondering if Wonwoo was ever riled up.
"I don't like roses," you threw the bouquet of roses he surprised you with into his embrace, regretfully. You knew what you did was horrible and unreasonable but you wanted to tease him a bit. You left him in the living room and went to take a shower upstairs.
Wonwoo carried the flowers and hid them from you. He then secretly grabbed his car keys and drove to a florist that is still open. In fact, he just drove around in a rush to buy you a different flower.
On his way home, he received a call from you. His finger glided across the screen and before he got to say anything and apologize, your voice boomed.
"Where are you? Wonwoo, I'm sorry I really am. Where did you go?" a series of sobbing noises sounded along. You were a crying mess and wailed even louder when he ended the call.
Wonwoo couldn't focus on the road if he resumed the call. Without knowing the context, his heart raced. Thousand of God-forbid possible scenes ran in his mind as he drove.
Wonwoo didn't even bother to turn off the engine and when he dashed into the house, he saw your frame on the couch and ran forward. "Why did you call crying? What happened?" his voice trembled as he checked on you. He repeated the questions to get an answer from you. "Honey, did something happen?"
Having noticed you were not going to reply soon, Wonwoo remained silent and held you tightly. You stared out the window and heard the still-running engine outside.
In a low, raspy voice you whispered, "The car.."
Wonwoo was lost for a moment and you had to smack him on his arm to wake him up. "The car, idiot,". Only after that, did the recollection of the flowers in the car dawn on him.
Your face which was filled with concern and tears before turned red at once. Wonwoo lined up various types of flowers in front of you and said, "Today, I realised that I was ignorant. I didn't know what's your favourite flower and bought the one you dislike," He walked up to you and took your hands. Gazing up into your eyes, he continued, "I wish there was a dictionary about you so that I can make you happy all the time," So he disappeared just now because he went to buy me these to compensate?
"Honey, I'm sorry about earlier. Please don't get mad at me because I don't want to sleep alone today,"
Punching his arm lightly, you retorted. "I'm furious as to why you'd go all the way to buy me these," Your tone rose a notch as you spoke. Peeking at the petals on the floor, you warmed inside. It was difficult to suppress a big smile.
Wonwoo felt torn inside and blamed himself. He rubbed your forearms and opened his mouth. "It's because I made a mistake. Honey, I admit that I acted recklessly but I had to since the shops are about to close if I-"
He sounded so lame, unfunny, and deadly sweet that you had to shut him up with your lips. You didn't intend to kiss him like this but listening to him saying all the things to make you the happiest moved you to tears once again.
Wonwoo was surprised but he smiled and returned the kiss just as passionately. He embraced you in his arms and became handsy as he was turned on.
"Where's the roses?"
"I put them in my car since you don't like it,"
"Hm, why did you do that? Are you so in love with me, Jeon Wonwoo?" you chuckled, seeking his lips on yours afterward. Although you asked the obvious, his reply still sent butterflies in your stomach.
"Yeah, I'm so in love with my wife. What should I do?" he grinned and caught your lips. "Honey, I love you,"
While he is a gentleman on daily basis, he isn't the same in bed. Under the blanket, he knew how to please you as usual. You couldn't control your noises and Wonwoo was fond of them.
"S-slow down," you begged. His movement was driven by motivation that is to make you come but today, you wanted to come together. He twisted his hips and roamed his hands all over like he didn't just make you moan louder.
"You like when I go fast, don't you? Should I touch you down here as well?" he groaned in the middle when he felt the grip getting intense. "Honey, are you close? Ugh, keep making noises. You know I like them,"
Your head fell right and left as you contained the urge to orgasm. Struggling to keep your composure, you crossed your legs around his hips and pushed him to lean more. With your fingers all in his hair, you raised your head and whimpered, "Babe, come inside today,"
"No, honey," he tried to drag his trust slower after hearing you say that. It was a temptation but he always worried for you. You were younger than him and both of you never brought up the topic of having a child. Though, he never let it slips his mind and take precautions.
After the exercise, Wonwoo helped you with the after-care. He clothed you and went downstairs to heat up the milk just like he always did. When he entered the room again, you were already tucked in and facing the other side.
Wonwoo thought you were asleep and reached for the bedside lamp to switch it off. As you sensed his hands brushing your skin, you glared at him and swiftly said. "I want to have a child with you,"
Wonwoo's stupefaction was not secreted. He looked at you deeply, making sure he heard correctly.
And it seemed you really meant it. For half of the year, you were having the idea of getting pregnant. It was just you're shy to voice it to him and hinted at him every time.
"And condoms didn't feel nice so don't wear them next time," you added with bash.
"But honey," he must want to discuss about it and it will, ultimately, evolve around you.
Why is he always so anxious when it comes to me?
Cutting him off, you excused yourself. "I'm sleepy, goodnight,"
"Honey, don't sleep yet," his first call didn't succeed and he wanted your attention on the second try. So he called by your name which he hasn't used since you two decided on endearments.
You pulled harder on the edge of the blanket and pretended to not hear. "Y/N," he pressed again.
"Okay, we'll have a child but-"
"Really?" excited, you jumped to sit on the bed and waited for him. Seeing how exhilarated you turned, the dwelling worries within him pacified. He flashed a tender smile and nodded. "Yes, but we'll have to go to see the doctor first. Let's see if it's a suitable time for you to bear a child. Understand?" he can't take a risk.
"I know my body!"
Wonwoo sighed, feeling defeated by his lovely wife. "But I won't feel at ease. What if your body is too young to be pregnant?" he commented. "Honey, to be honest, I don't want to have a child just yet. I want to spend more time with you and let's wait for another year, shall we?"
Pouting, you averted your gaze as you responded. "But I want to have your baby. Darling, please?" your honey-rendered voice was magical.
Man, you always have the damnest thing to say and it worked most of the time.
Wonwoo looked down and cursed to himself. He was aroused by your request and you're delighted by such a reaction. "Your body below is so honest. I have my answer now so I'm going to sleep," your brightened features closing up the conversation. You cupped his face and presented him with a peck. "Mwah! Love you, the father of my children,"
Maybe, planning a child isn't so bad after all.

Adesina met Screwllum shortly after the fall of Rubert I. More specifically when Screwllum managed to reach an agreement with the IPC so that mechanical lives would not be eliminated by them.
The fame of Screwllum and the industrial revolution that took place on Planet Screwllum after that caught the attention of the nameless. However, she was cautious when entering the planets, doubtful of the Screwllumnite's proclamation that they did not follow the same ideologies as Rubert.
She took advantage of the Mask of Shattered Ages, which looks like the head of a Screwllumnite, and used clothes that covered her skin to blend in between them. She just wanted to look around the planet and then leave, that's all.
But as she walked through the streets she overheard a small conversation of Screwllumnites curious about organic lives, wondering specific things about them. Adesina was so distracted that she ended up responding without realizing it, and to justify it without committing herself, she lied saying that she was a Screwllumnite who studied organic life.
It didn't take long for most of the Screwllumnite to learn of the fame created around Adesina's lie, and this eventually reached Screwllum.
He invited her to his palace for a whole day visit. Adesina tried her best to maintain the pretense fearing what would happen if he found out. (Spoiler: he already knew)
He was curious, to say the least. An organic creature that snuck onto the planet pretending to be a Screwllumnite could be described as intriguing, especially one that has its name highlighted on the IPC's wanted list. He was cautious, waiting to catch some malicious intent in her, but he didn't get a single hint of it. By the end of the visit he had calmed down about her presence on the planet.
While Adesina? She got swiped off her feet for him. His gentlemanly behavior, his perspectives on organic lives and mechanical lives, the way he spoke, the aura that surrounded him. Adesina was completely red beneath the mask the whole time.
No matter what happened, she always found herself meeting Screwllum again and being the courteous man that he is, he always invited her to visit the palace, in an attempt to better understand organic lives and Adesina herself.
And boy... the robot got hooked. So much for her personality, her stories, down to the smallest mannerisms. At first he didn't realize it, despite being one of the Screwllumnite who had the most notion of organic life and knowing what romantic love was, that was a new perspective for him.
His auditory sensors picked up what she said better than any other sound. His visual sensors focused on her whenever she was in his field of vision. His body jolts seemed tense when she was very close. His information processor seemed to have created an affection for the memories he had formed with her.
As she fell more in love, the more guilty she felt for “lying” to him. One night, when she and Srcewllum were observing the planet's sky from the palace's balcony, during another of their visits she finally took off her mask for him. If he didn't know any better, Screwllum would think his software had fried the moment he first looked into her eyes.
Adesina had to do her best not to show her feelings as she apologized to him, she assured him that she had no ulterior motives for her visit, but that she would leave the next morning as she did not feel entitled to continue with the pretense and completed saying Screwllum was free to report her whereabouts to the IPC. Before he could respond, she had already teleported to the ship, to spend her last night on the planet.
The next day, before her departure, Adesina came across Screwllum outside his ship and he finally declared how he felt about her. To say she was hesitant is an understatement, Adesina felt so many conflicting feelings, the joy of having a reciprocated love along with the fear of what happened in the past would repeat itself once again. She didn't give an answer at first, at that moment she could only start her ship and fly off the planet while Screwllum returned to his palace.
But that didn't take long, before she could fly out of the atmosphere she turned around and flew back towards the palace. Imagine everyone's surprise when they saw a huge ship stopping in front of the place just like that, and a human who is on the IPC's wanted list running into the palace shouting the name of Screwllum.
“I love you too…” was the only thing she could say when she came face to face with the aristocrat.
🌺 anon
SHE'S LOWKEY SO DRAMATIC I STAN
Screwllum who experiences every symptom of attraction that organic creatures do and he's confused because it literally shouldn't be possible 😭

------ Chapter 7 ------
I was starting to get fidgety and impatient. I didn’t want to be stuck in this stupid building with the removable roof anymore. After all the stress of the past few days, I was craving a smoke and some fresh air outside. By now, it was after lunch, and all the giant students were occupied with their last class for the day. I checked out the window. Except for the kids in PE on the fields behind the school, far away, the campus was deserted. I decided the risk was minimal.
I grabbed my last few cigarettes and cautiously stepped outside. The afternoon was perfect, with mild sunshine and a meandering breeze. I looked up at the blue sky studded with light fluffy clouds. Soon enough, I might be looking at that same sky from home. I felt a pang of bitterness. I hadn’t been happy at home either. I was certain by now that my mom saw me as a burden. My “friends” didn’t actually care about me that much, and if I was truly honest with myself, I had to admit they weren’t a good influence on me either. I had been just as alone and unwanted there as I was here. Although, at least back home people were my size, and I could stand up for myself with my own strength.
I sighed and glanced around to ensure the coast was clear before lighting up my cigarette. I took a deep drag and exhaled the smoke dramatically. Sometimes when I was smoking, I liked to pretend like I was in a movie. I strolled around the building, enjoying the sunshine. When I started to get too warm, I made my way to the shady area behind the giant dormitory for the boys. There was a sidewalk that would be narrow by giant standards flanking the brick wall of the building, with the verdant hedge wall towering above it on the other side. A perfect little hiding place. I sat down against the giant bricks and lit another cigarette with the tail end of the previous one, flicking the butt away into the tall grass.
Lost in thought, enjoying my nicotine high, I failed to notice the giant approaching until it was too late for me to run. He didn’t seem to notice me either, since I was so far down below him on the ground. I froze in place, not daring to move at all, only a wisp of smoke from my cigarette betraying my presence. He was another student, massive of course, and wearing the forest green uniform just like all the others. He must have been active in sports because he had the body of an athlete, with hardy limbs and lean muscle. His blond hair was shaved into a buzz cut. His eyes were a crystal blue, hard and sharp. He looked dangerous.
He flopped down on the floor nearby, shaking the ground, and I had to repress a cry of alarm at the sudden movement. What was he doing back here? I thought about sneaking away but I was too scared to move a single muscle. The giant pulled a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and slapped it into his palm a couple of times before taking one out and lighting up. So, he was a deviant like me, hiding back here for the same reason. Somehow this realization didn’t exactly fill me with confidence. I watched anxiously as he puffed on his cigarette. Soon enough, his eyes drifted down to me, and I had to use all my willpower not to lose it and sprint away like a rabbit.
“Oh, hey,” he said casually. “Didn’t see you there.” He puffed on his cigarette and narrowed his eyes at me. I tried my best to appear outwardly calm. Too rattled to speak, I made a vague gesture of greeting with my hand. He tilted his head slightly.
“So you're skipping class too?” he continued with his deep giant voice.
“Y-yeah,” I lied.
“Interesting,” he replied, giving me a more intrigued look. He leaned over me, raising an eyebrow. I glanced down, avoiding eye contact. I didn’t like the way he was ogling me, as if he were devouring me with his eyes. It made me exceedingly uncomfortable.
“I-I should probably go,” I choked out quickly, stubbing out my cigarette and standing up to leave. I started briskly walking away, but the giant blocked my path with his hand, curving his fingers slightly around me.
“Wait! What’s your name?” the giant asked me.
“I-it’s Eren,” I stuttered. I shuffled my feet awkwardly, looking for an opening to dart away.
“You know, Eren… for a human, you’re kinda cute,” he complimented. My face grew hot. His eyes were gleaming with aggressive energy that made my skin crawl. I turned away and tried to circumvent his hand in a nonchalant way, but he wouldn’t let me leave, nudging me back with his large fingers.
“Aw, what’s the matter? Why are you leaving? I just want to get to know ya.” He flashed me a creepy smile, full of big square teeth. I faltered. Before I could come up with a coherent response, he closed his fingers around me and picked me up. I let out a startled cry. “Here, see? I won’t hurt you.”
I gulped. I thought about screaming, but who would hear me? Not to mention he could effortlessly force me to be quiet with a simple squeeze of his fingers. In fact, if he was so inclined, he could kill me right now, and nobody would know. I grappled with my rising panic. The giant stood up, and the rapid elevation made me dizzy. He took a deep drag from his cigarette and blew the smoke over me with an extended breath. I choked and gagged on the contaminated cloud, and he smirked mischievously.
“Have you ever been inside the boy’s dormitory?” he inquired. I shook my head, not liking where he was going with this new topic of conversation. “Girls usually aren’t allowed, but who’s gonna know?” He sniggered. He carried me around the side of the building to the front door like I was nothing more than a toy.
After casting a furtive glace about to make sure we were still alone, he stomped out his cigarette in the dirt, making sure to bury the stub so he wouldn’t get caught. He swaggered into the building like he owned the place. The dormitory for the giants was very similar to mine, just on a much grander scale. Due to the fact that there were far more giant students than humans, they had more rooms for beds and other amenities. They also had some computers for classwork available and a TV in the communal area. Since so many boys lived here, the dorms were a little messy, cluttered with personal belongings and trash.
To my disappointment, we were the only ones in the building. I had clung to the last shred of hope that some of the other giant boys might be here to intervene, but all the other students were still finishing up their school day. My body, against my will, started to tremble with fear. I didn’t know what the giant was planning to do with me. I doubted he was going to eat me, but there were plenty of ways he could hurt me if he wanted. I suspected his intentions were far from pure.
He brought me into one of the rooms full of beds, and walked over to an unmade bed towards the far end of the room. A pile of dirty clothes was heaped up on the floor next to the bed, and the space underneath had been utilized as a storage area for a bunch of junk.
“This is where I sleep,” the giant informed me. He tossed me onto the bed and an involuntary shriek escaped my lips as I fell a daunting distance and tumbled over the sheets, bouncing lightly. I immediately jumped to my feet and backed up, hands out, as if ready to defend myself. Of course, I knew perfectly well there was nothing I could do to protect myself from such a gargantuan person. I reached the edge of the bed, glanced over my shoulder, and just about passed out when I saw how high up I was off the floor. I took a few tentative steps forward away from the drop to keep from falling to my death.
He watched me with amusement before slipping out of his shirt, revealing a massive torso rippling with imposing muscle. I couldn’t help but gawk at the spectacle. I was becoming increasingly agitated and intimidated. I really didn’t like where this was going, but I wasn’t being given a choice. With a lithe motion, he hopped onto the bed, making me cry out again as I lost my balance and bounced. Before I could recover, he scooped me up into his hand again, propped himself up on some pillows, and deposited me on his bare belly.
I was on my hands and knees now, positioned atop his enormous half-naked body, directly coming into contact with his warm bare skin. His mountainous lumps of abdominal muscles were firm to the touch, and his body beneath me rose and fell with his relaxed breathing. I recoiled my hands back as if I’d been shocked and tucked my arms close to my chest. Blushing furiously, I gazed up past his huge, muscular chest to his leering face. I was in trouble now.
He shifted his tremendous body, moving me with it, and let out a soft murmur of pleasure. I glanced behind me and grimaced. He had a huge, throbbing erection. His member by itself was bigger than me. I wasn’t ready for this. I knew plenty of horny teenage boys who had wanted me, and assumed I would put out since I was a “bad girl,” but I had always unilaterally rejected them. Thinking frantically, I figured it would be worth a shot to at least try reasoning with the giant.
“I… I can’t do this,” I stammered. “I’m sorry.”
“Why not?” he pouted. I was afraid he would get angry, but he still had a playful gleam in his eyes that suggested he wasn’t taking me very seriously.
“Um…” My mind raced to come up with a compelling reason. “I’m still a virgin. And you’re… way too big for me. I’m scared.” I figured a little flattery couldn’t hurt.
“Aww, my innocent, delicate little flower,” he purred, stroking my face with his gigantic thumb, “You don’t have to worry about disappointing me. All you have to do is go down there and play with it a little. Hug it, pet it, kiss it, bounce on it, whatever you want. You’ll enjoy it.”
I shrank away from his touch, resolute in my resistance. “No,” I insisted with more force. “I refuse.”
His face hardened with a tyrannical wrath that filled me with terror. He sat up a bit, and I felt his powerful ab muscles flexing underneath me as the upper half of him stretched above me. “I don’t think you understand how this works, little lady. You’re mine now, you don’t—”
His tirade was interrupted by the opening of the front door. A horde of rowdy, sweaty boys, fresh from gym class, poured in, shouting and laughing noisily with each other.
“Shit!” he cursed. I didn’t have time to react before he snatched me up inside his fist, concealing me from the other boys before they saw me. I couldn’t see anything through his fingers, but the hollering voices quickly became louder, accompanied by banging and stomping, so I assumed some of the giants must have entered the room with us. From within the darkness of the giant’s fist I fought back, kicking and scratching and even biting, but he only tightened his grip on me more. I tried to yell, but my voice was muffled enough that nobody could hear me over the larger voices in the room.
I realized this might be my only chance of escape, and I was blowing it. If the giant locked me up in a cage somewhere and I went missing, nobody would know where I had disappeared to. Would anybody even notice or care that I was gone? I began to despair. Mr. Henderson would care. He would look for me, but he wouldn’t be able to find me. My thoughts became more frantic and desperate. I needed to get out, now!
My hand dropped down to my pocket, and I felt a hard lump inside. My cigarette lighter. Acting fast, I conjured a flame and held it up to the inside of his palm. The smell of burning flesh hit my nose. The giant’s reaction was immediate. His hand recoiled open, just enough for me to slip out. I didn’t hesitate. I used the lighter to set fire to the bedsheets and ran. Heart hammering, I scrambled to the edge of the bed and jumped.
The drop was horrifying, but even though I was in a rush I knew better than to jump off blindly. I aimed for the pile of clothes next to the bed. The heap of soft fabrics cushioned my fall, so I wasn’t injured. Rather than take the obvious route to the entryway, I raced under the bed to hide, ducking in between all the junk stored underneath. The subterfuge worked, and the giant didn’t have a clue where I went.
He didn’t get a chance to search for me, either, because his bed was on fire. Chaos erupted as all the giant teenagers shouted and ran around and congregated in the room. While I didn’t have to worry as much about being noticed, since everyone’s focus was on the blaze, I had to be very careful not to get stepped on. I ran from bed to bed, dodging feet as I went, until I made it to the doorway to the bedroom. I sprinted through the communal area, which my distraction had emptied out, and made it to the front door. Panting for breath, I crawled through the gap under the door and outside to freedom.
The fresh breeze and sunlight had never felt so lovely as they did now. I basked in their glory as I skirted the edge of the giant building, trying my best to remain inconspicuous. Some giant students were around, but as usual nobody noticed me. For once I was actually grateful to be so tiny. I survived the journey back to the human building without incident and scampered inside. I didn’t feel much safer inside the building, knowing that anyone could take the roof off, but at least for now I was hidden from prying eyes.
I took a deep breath and tried to calm my pounding heart. This latest incident had only cemented my resolve to leave this place, to get away from giants forever. At least I had managed to escape, and nothing terrible had happened. I just had to make it until my mother could come get me out of this hellhole tomorrow. I just had to survive another day. Everything would be fine… right?

Title: Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism
Author/s: Amanda Montell
Genre/s: nonfiction, history, language
Trigger/Content Warning/s: murder, suicide, physical and emotional abuse, substance abuse, cult behavior
Summary (from publisher's website): What makes “cults” so intriguing and frightening? What makes them powerful? The reason why so many of us binge Manson documentaries by the dozen and fall down rabbit holes researching suburban moms gone QAnon is because we’re looking for a satisfying explanation for what causes people to join—and more importantly, stay in—extreme groups. We secretly want to know: could it happen to me? Amanda Montell’s argument is that, on some level, it already has . . .
Our culture tends to provide pretty flimsy answers to questions of cult influence, mostly having to do with vague talk of “brainwashing.” But the true answer has nothing to do with freaky mind-control wizardry or Kool-Aid. In Cultish, Montell argues that the key to manufacturing intense ideology, community, and us/them attitudes all comes down to language. In both positive ways and shadowy ones, cultish language is something we hear—and are influenced by—every single day.
Through juicy storytelling and cutting original research, Montell exposes the verbal elements that make a wide spectrum of communities “cultish,” revealing how they affect followers of groups as notorious as Heaven’s Gate, but also how they pervade our modern start-ups, Peloton leaderboards, and Instagram feeds. Incisive and darkly funny, this enrapturing take on the curious social science of power and belief will make you hear the fanatical language of “cultish” everywhere.

Spoiler-Free Review: This was a really intriguing read. Focusing on “cultish” language is a different tack from the other approaches I’ve seen other books taking, but I think this approach is way more personal because language is something we encounter everyday. We can read what people say on the internet, or we can listen to them talk, and have a variety of bells and whistles ping in our heads and tell us “This is bullshit” - or not, as the case may be.
One of the things I found valuable about this book was how it emphasized that it’s not education or “smarts” that make a person see through cultish language. In fact, in many cases it’s people who are considered smart and well-educated who are very susceptible to cultish language - and are often the hardest to shake out of it. On the sadder side of things, people who are optimistic and want to change the world are also some of the most susceptible to cult indoctrination, which just makes cults even more terrible because they take these genuinely good people and destroy them.
This book also tries to redefine some things we’ve come to associate with cults: things like brainwashing and mind control. By talking to scholars who actually study cults and cult-adjacent behaviors, the book actually points out that brainwashing and mind control just aren’t real. People can think for themselves, and are capable of resisting any kind of idea that they don’t agree with - which is also where the problem lies. If an idea is couched in the right words, or presented in the right way so as to make them agreeable to a person, then that person will be willing to adopt those ideas - even if they’re detrimental. Individual charisma certainly helps with this, but there’s also society as a whole: if a person is set up such that they come across as an authority figure to someone else, then their words will be more likely to be accepted with little to no questioning. Or for that matter, if a person is in desperate enough straits, they’ll be willing to accept a deal that they think will help them, even if it might turn out to be bad.
That being said, not all cultish language is necessarily bad. It all depends on context. For example: Alcoholics Anonymous apparently has a set of catchphrases and terms that their participants use to help them overcome their alcoholism. On the surface it can sound a little culty, but it’s being used for a good cause: to help people overcome their addiction. Similarly, a lot of marketing and advertising can use culty language, but that’s being done in a more “neutral” way because they’re trying to get you to buy a product or a service. If you don’t want to buy it, you can walk away, no one is going to pressure you to spend your money. Cultish language is dangerous only when it manipulates you into or encourages you to stay in a dangerous or destructive situation; or manipulates you into or encourages you to take dangerous or destructive actions (ex. the language of QAnon and Donald Trump - or, closer to home, the language used by Rodrigo Duterte and Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s adherents).
Overall, this was a fairly fast and insightful read. By talking about “cultish” language, the book lays out of the case of what that language might sound and look like, and how its used in different situations. However, while learning to identify that language out in the wild is useful, the book also cautions the reader that context is always key: language that sounds cultish can be used in many different ways, ranging from good to bad. It also reminds the reader that, where anger for the use of such language is warranted, the target of that anger should always be the perpetrator/s and never the victim/s.
Rating: five cult pamphlets

She Would Not Do That
My wife enjoys crime dramas like NCIS, Criminal Minds, Law and Order, and CSI. Except for Law and Order, I do not enjoy these shows, which is fine because it is terrific when couples have different interests. Occasionally, I catch a few minutes, and on rare occasions, the plot keeps me interested enough to watch the rest of the show.
A week ago, I saw something (I think it was Criminal Minds) that got my attention. The authorities tracked down and captured a serial killer. In the investigation, the authorities learned that his mother purchased the gun/bullets, selected the victim, drove him to the crime, helped him dispose of the body, lied to the police, and helped him escape. During the questioning, she defended her actions, stating that she loved her son.
When I saw this, I sat up and said (to the television), “She should not do that!” Now, I understand mothers go to great lengths to support their children, so a mother helping her serial killer son should not be that big of a stretch. After all, we see loads of enabling behavior in every part of society. Honey Boo Boo even made a career out of it. Very true, but I was not buying it.
What was going on in the writer’s mind? They were doing their best to tug at the viewer’s hearts. “Take pity on this poor woman.”  “Connect with her plight.” “How dare you look down on her.” “She is a victim, too.”
Yeah… This was, at best, lazy writing and, at worst, a slam against mothers. The problem was that for this plot to work, the viewers needed to connect with the mother’s side while being appalled. I only saw an unrealistic concept. “Son, you did a great job killing that woman. I am very proud of you.” “Thanks, mom.”
I connect with writing difficulties, and it is almost impossible to create something new. Thousands of crime/drama shows, books, and movies have been created. This plot format only supports a few formulas. Son is a serial killer. Famous person is a serial killer. Secret government agent is a serial killer. It should be no shock that a writer eventually tried: Mother is a serial killer enabler.
Alright, Bill. You are so high and mighty. Fix it! Good news. We already did. When my wife and I watched the show, I commented, “They are trying to get us to connect with her. Instead, they should have made her a serial killer. Mommy and son serial killers? I would have believed that.” My wife countered, “Or they could have toned down her help. Buying the bullets? That’s plain stupid. It would have been much better if she only lied to the police. I would have bought that.”
Would our fixes have worked? The problem with our “improvements” is they have already been done. Our criticism highlights the problem that there is only so much a crime/drama television show can do. Aliens? Nope. Grandmother driving a tank into the supermarket? Nope. An FBI demoted to issuing parking tickets? Nope. North Korea sending an army of serial killers, and NCIS capturing them? Nope. All these shows can do is uncover local crimes and solve them with basic tools. This means the plot bedrock is very close to the surface.
Still, I am going to be harsh. There were writers, editors, directors, studio executives, actors/actresses, intelligent women/men, and other random people on that show. Every single person involved could have raised their hand and said, “She would not do that.”  Alas, no. They remained silent, and my yelling at the television offered no help.
It is tough being a writer in a crowded field. What kind of plot would I come up with? Gahh. The cat did it. Wow, I hit plot bedrock fast.
    You’re the best -Bill

Things/answers i'm hoping to see if we get a new season
Max :
- Max has to find out about Clance's baby. But when? Before it's born, or after? Will she decide to come back to help her friend and lose everything she's worked so hard to get? Will Guy come back?
- I know that Esther and Max are supposed to become a double pitcher feature or something but there's no way this isn't going to create jealousy. Even more complicated if they're together. I'm expecting a great beginning and then things just going South.
 - I want to see every single friend of Uncle Bertie. That's it, that's the story.
 - How will Max and Carson keep in touch? Now that they're going to be in different places, we need other ways to tie the two stories together. I would love to see them play against each other but I don't think that would be allowed (a mixed game of a professional team and exhibit one ? Not sure how that would happen).
 Carson and the Peaches:
 - Obviously, I want to know what happens with Charlie and Carson. Did he actually see her and Greta kiss (the angle was weird)? Did he just hear Carson say she wouldn't come back? And what about that part where he said he was just "hanging out" in Dublin but we saw him in a hospital? Is he sick and dying? Is that why he came back? Would Carson be able to leave him if he's sick? My hope is for a polite divorce but i'm not too optimistic about it. You could think that he'd just want her to be happy because he loves her so much, but the fact that he lied about the letter is a bad sign. Also, Carson, honey, you gave him all of your money. Please get it back before leaving him.
 - The Peaches return, after an eventful off-season. I'm guessing it wouldn't be realistic to have the exact same team as last season. Hopefully the fan favourites are still there, but i think it'd be nice to introduce new girls. They could for example cause mayhem, even be antagonists? Since now almost all of the Peaches know about them gays, it would be too comfortable if they kept it that way. It would suit me, but from a storytelling point of view, we need to have stakes. Or maybe one of the newbies could flirt with Carson nonstop hehe.
 - New room arrangements! Carson and Greta wouldn't be put together because that's too easy. Maybe one of them could room with a new girl.
 - Now this is just for my hurt/comfort loving ass, but i want Carson or Greta to get hurt in a game and have the other one take care of her. Don't look at me.
 - Who's going to say "I love you" first? My money's on Carson, since she already said it to Max and she's much less guarded than Greta. But Greta letting herself fall for the first time since Dana? That's special. I would cry, actually. If Carson's the one to say it first, it'll probably just slip during a particularly soft moment. If Greta's the one to say it first, i can see it slip during an argument about Carson not being cautious enough and Greta being scared for her.
 - Moms. Let me explain: we need to know why Carson's mom left. Maybe meet her? BUT I'm also intrigued by Greta's mom. Greta doesn't want her mom to know where she is, but Joe doesn't seem to think it's that big of a deal. And Greta said that when they caught Dana and her, she was fine. So... Is her mom cool? Why is she hiding from her? We could meet her too. I'm imagining her descending from her helicopter in the middle of a party, Cher-in-Mamma-Mia-2 style. We won't meet both, though, but a battle of the moms WOULD be hilarious.
 - Will Carson still be coach? My guess is that with the success they had last season, they'll probably get a new coach. Hopefully this one doesn't suck ass.
 - I need the Peaches to go play a game in Idaho, near Carson's farm- uh, her house, and we could see her sister and dad and they probably still wouldn't be impressed but a Peach or all the Peaches could get angry at how they're treating Carson and let them know how amazing Carson is. Bonus points if Beverly's the one doing it.
 - The competition between Greta and Joey must have an impact on their friendship. Maybe they get very close to breaking but something brings them back together?
 - WE NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MAYBELLE. How many children does she have? Is she divorced?
 - Please please give Shirley a boyfriend it would be so fucking hilarious to watch her navigate the "energy" and the "eye-contact".
 - What exactly is going on with Lupe and Jess? Suspeachious.
 - Esti learned more English (mostly cursewords because Jess taught her) during the off season and now she won't shut up. And, when she arrives back to the house, she’s delighted to hear a few of the Peaches greet her in clumsy Spanish. They’ve been trying to learn the basics during the off-season to surprise her. Also how did she end up there? What's her story? I want to know!!!
 - Celebrate Esti's 18th birthday this time!!! Don't let her celebrate alone!!
Those were my thoughts, thank you for coming to my TED talk :)

Steve Harrington x Reader
Casuality
Just some fluff, angst and smut
Warning: mentions of alcohol, mentions of sexual activity, a little cursing
How did me and Y/N ended making out in my pool? Bad decisions and booze, that's the answer. I wanted it to stop, but it was good.. Too damn good. I can taste in her mouth the bitterness of the alcohol we drank a while ago. The mix of beer and vodka was still lingering in her mouth.
My hands run in her legs, as her hands tug my hair. There were fire igniting inside us, it was burning with lust and adrenaline. A low moan escapes her mouth, this added fuel to the fire inside us. We both knew that we'd regret this in the morning, but we didn't stop.
Y/N Henderson..
I'm close to her brother, but not to her. We fought monster beside each other, she was close to Robin, Nancy and Jonathan. But not to me, that's why I'm surprised when she arrived in my doorsteps, alcohol in her hands.
"Hey, Steviee!Wanna run around town and get smashed?"
She caught me off guard but I agreed, I was always intrigued by her. I never noticed her in high school but she seems to know everything about me.
"Oh, come on!Steve!I'm not stupid!I know you use that shitty shampoo and conditioner!"
"It's not shitty! It's the real deal!"
"Whatever, let's go back to your house and take a dip in your fancy pool!"
My mind snapped back as we moved to my bed, Y/N's heavy breaths and low moans was all I could hear from her. We drop in my bed, we knew were going to spend all night here. The sheets wrapped around our naked bodies, legs entangled with each others. Moans filling the room, sweats dripping from our hot naked body. We were drunk and stupid. Sobriety and rational thinking was out the window. This night was filled with bad decisions and bad decisions only.
Days have passed since that night, we decided to continue the relationship but we're keeping it casual. We're now sitting in my car, music blasting on the stereo on a low volume. She was looking blankly on the window as I drive her to campus.
"What are you thinking about?" I questioned, snapping her out of her trance. She smiled at me as she relaxed into the passenger seat.
"Whatever your thinking about.."
"Dustin moaning really weird last night?" I joked causing her to glare at me.
"No, but now that's what I'm thinking.." I chuckled at her response as I paid attention to the road.
"Hey, do you want to have a sleep over tonight?"
"Sleepover? What are you ten?Do you also want to braid each other's hair and have a pillow fight?" Her witty remarks always get me laughing, that's one thing I like about you Y/N..
"Come on, we're not gonna be sleeping anyway.." I pleaded.
"Ooh, Stevie gonnna give me the lovey dovey!" She said in a baby voice. Gotta admit, that was weird as hell.
"Oh dear god.." I mumbled under my breath.
"What's that Harrington?" Her glares could literally kill someone, I just gave her an innocent smile, she just rolled her eyes.
"Nothing.."
"I'll see you tonight, then.."
A comfortable silence filled the ambiance of the car, if I know Y/N and I think I do, she'll try to rummage her brain for something to talk to--.
"What was Dustin moaning about?" There it is..
"Oh dear god.." I just shake my head in amusement.
The first time I had ever seen you cry was the day we got home from campus, snots and tears were everywhere. I never saw you cry, even when we almost died twice while trying to save the world. Not a one single tear, but now your here infront of me. Tears in your eyes, as you sobbed into my chest. I don't know what to do, should I comfort you?
"What happend?" I finally asked the lingering thought in my head.
"I saw Dad with his brand new family.."
Y/N's father..
I never really met him but to what I gather from Y/N and Dustin is that he's a coward. He left his family to be with another woman.. Putting the three of you to emotional trauma and abuse.
"I'm sorry.." That's all I could say..
"After all what he did to Mom and Dustin, he have the audacity to be happy while Mom cover up the pain with cats.."
"I hate my dad, I swear if he ever comes back, I'll feed him to the demogorgons.. Why does this always happen to me? Can everything be just fine again?"
I hate seeing her like this.. What should I say? I can't really relate to her, my parents still stood by me.
"I'd do whatever I could do, if you want to get wasted, I'll do it with you, If you want to burn your dad's house, I'll be down with that. Just don't cry, I can't stand seeing you like this."
A small laugh erupted from her, moving beside me, she lay her head into my shoulders.
"Thanks for the reassurance Harrington.."
"That's what I'm here for.."
"Come on Steve, let's make out in your pool.." Y/N stands up, and gave me her hand, I gladly accepted it.
"Why do you have to ruin the mood?"
"How's that ruining the mood?If anything, I'm building the mood." She said in a sultry and teasing voice. I rolled my eyes, does she think I'll get turned on by that. She was crying just a moment ago, she was releasing snots.
"I think you have daddy issues, love.." It was her turn to roll her eyes.
"We all have daddy issues.." I grab her cheeks and peck her lips.
"We both have daddy issues, then." She just gave me the most precious smile that ever existed.. Oh, God. How I love you.
The first fight we had was also our last, it was your birthday. We were hanging out in your room, laying in her bed as the television played Star Wars. The pale moon was dancing all throughout the room, I knew there was something bothering me, we've been doing this for months, keeping everything casual. I'm growing tired of the constant thought that someone will take her away from me.. Don't get me wrong, I love Y/N, I'm not sure how she feel about me though. Y/N's like a close book, hard to read. So many things that I wish I knew, but there's so many walls that I can't break through. ( Where the swifties at? )
"Are you okay?" Y/N soft voice pulled me out of my head.
Am I really okay? No, why? I want us to be in a committed relationship, where someone can't take you away from me. That's how much I love you..
"Nothing, just thinking about us.." A small smile tugged in her lips as she scoot closer.
"What about us?" She asked, her brows wiggling.
"Being casual and all.." The smile she had falter, she moved away from me, running her hands through her hair.
"You know I'm not ready yet.."
"You always say that."
"Steve!I can't have this exact same conversation with you over and over again!" And here we are, fighting.. The anger inside me flicked open, I know it won't do good but I still went ahead and got mad.
"Why can't you say it once?!" Our shouts echoed through the whole house, her Mom is probably worried about her.
"What can't I say?!" She asked confused and angry at the samw time.
"That you love me!" The whole room suddenly got quiet, the look in Y/N's face was hard to read. Are you shocked? Scared? Angry? What? Do you love me like I love you? Please, say the words that I want--no, what I need to hear.
"Steve, we both know that we agreed to keep things casual.." She finally spoke, but not the words that came out was not what I needed.
"Casual? We've been together for almost a year now, how much more casual do you want it to get?"
"I--Steve, I can't do this now.." She backs away from me, opening her door wide open for me to leave.
"Why?" That's all that exited my mouth..
"Because I need space!" She snaps, a involuntary scoff left my lips.
"Space from what?!We barely have a relationship!"
"Just get away!I can't believe your pressuring me!" She shouts, but I stayed to say the words I'll regret..
"Let's just end whatever the fuck this is!"
"Fine!" She screamed as she walks up to me and pushed me out of her room.. Reaching the end of her door, she pushed me. I stumbled but managed to bounce back, before I can even say another word she slammed the door. And there's that..
"Steve?" Dustin came out of his room, a worried expression painted in his face.
"Are you and Y/N okay?"
"Yeah, it's just a--" I stopped at the middle of the sentence, my mouth refused to let the words escape.
"A what?" He questioned.
A break up..
"Nothing, it's nothing.." I lied..
I didn't know why I couldn't say the words. I clearly never wanted this to happen, I didn't know what happend. And I can't take it back, what's done is done..
Life with Y/N was hard, but life without her is much harder. Was I in the wrong? I shouldn't have pressure her, all I wanted is to go up at her house. But Dustin told me, she was really busy with a lot of schoolworks. Where did it get so complicated?
I was walking home when I saw Y/N, just standing in my porch front step. She seems fidgety and nervous, those sweet eyes seem to notice me. Y/N was wearing one of my Van Halen shirts, with a short and just some sneakers. You always looked beautiful in my shirts..
"Steve.." I love how she says my name, but I love it more if she screams my name. Flashes of her naked body grinding on me suddenly appeared on my head. This was not the time but I couldn't help it. I miss her..
"Hey.." I greet..
"I just wanted to--"
"I should be the one apologizing, I shouldn't pressure you like that.." I cut her off, I'm right. There's no need to apologize, I was in the wrong. I pressured her when I agreed to keep it casual.
"Still, I'm sorry too.." Y/N was always nice, never letting her pride get in the way of her life.. An eerie silence once filled our conversation, I never wanted this but maybe..
"Maybe it's best if I give you the space you nee--"
"I love you.." She cuts me off..
"Huh?" My mind went blank, my eyes blink rapidly as I try to sink in the three words you just dropped.
"I don't need space, I love you Steve Harrington.." She confessed cheekily, a small smile appeared on our face.
"I love you too.." She just smiles at me, but she was waiting for something. What is it? A ring, maybe? But this is not a proposal..
"What are you waiting for?Kiss me."
Ohh, right.. The way I moved was slow, I think she grew impatient because you pulled me and our lips collided into one. The way your lips was covered in the strawberry chapstick I gave you, this was my favorite thing in the world. I slid my tongue, it danced with yours. I pushed you in my door, opening it in the process.
When it burst open, we celebrated by going into my bed. Pushing Y/N into the bed was pretty arousing. We didn't need words or foreplay, we're pretty straightforward. Our lips once connected again, heavy breaths and low moans was all I could hear.
We slowly undressed each other, our lips was still intact, rushing into things was never really your motto. I felt your skin made contact with mine, I felt the heat from your body. My hands were making their way to her tender breasts, I slowly massaged it until the nipples turned like tiny stones. A loud moan came out from her mouth, I couldn't resist and licked them, biting them playfully. Another moan came out from her sweet lips, I stopped as I took out my hard and mounting manhood, I rest it unto her thighs. Y/N sits up, looking at me with questions in those eyes.
"What happend? You got tired?" Y/N whisper in her sultry voice.
"Taunting me?Really?"
Before she can even respond I got on top of bed and smirked, your naked body was softly laying in my bed. This made me harder, you're so perfect in every way. My hands are already in your legs, spreading it wide and open. I can see you closing your eyes at my touch, I drove my two fingers inside her. She moans with the contact it made, eyes rolled in the back of her head. I ravish her breast with my mouth as my fingers interact inside her.
"Fuck, Steve!"
I was hitting the right places, she was twisting left and right, her hands were gripping my sheets, I pulled my fingers out and replaced it with my organ. A loud piercing moan escapes her lips as I pump into her, every thrust was in sync with her breathing. I slowly grunt as I pump harder and deeper into her, I yank her legs back, as my other hand gripped her ass. I dug myself further into her, setting off another shattering moan.
"Steve, faster."
I increasing the speed, she wrapped her arms around my back, her nails digging into my skin. Pain and Pleasure was a great mixture for me. I hit every possible spot inside her, the nails dug deeper as I thrust harder and much more deeper. The speed increased once again, as I feel both of our climax building up inside, it can explode any second now. Every thrust I make, every moan she screams, and every sweat that drips was a cherry on top.
"Fuck, I'm coming!"
With that we both exploded into each other, I felt a warm liquid flows between her legs and mine. A small smile appeared on her lips as we were both out of breath, her hair was all disheveled.
"Well, that was fun.." She whisper, her voice hoarsed from all the moaning she did.
"I can see.." I joked causing her cheeks to blush..
"Shut up!"
I pulled out, she shivered at that action. I laid next to her, she looks at me with love and compassion. She pecked a kiss in my lips, cuddling besides me as the moon peaked through my windows. Y/N deserves every love and adoration in the world, I'm going to marry you someday..
This is my first smut ever, I hope it was..nice? If there's anything wrong I did in the smut, you can tell me, I'll do anything to improve it! I also accept request, any characters! dark alley help part 7
part 6: intrigued police | part 8: hassle
word count: 2.3k
》 public fingering, denied orgasm, oral
- ✿ -
Just as Taeyong was about to light up the cigarette between his lips, you plucked it out and threw it on the ground, making him breath out a heavy sigh.
"You're nervous, aren't you?" you asked.
He was hesitant to nod. "Yeah. What if-"
You shushed him with your finger on his lips. "There's no need to worry. That what if might not even happen. Remember what I told you?"
Taeyong sighed and nodded, silently reminding himself to not say a word at the dinner unless directed to do so.
You smiled. "Then, let's go!"
-
After ringing the bell, the door opened to reveal an unwelcoming-looking mother who was fuming not at you...
But at Taeyong.
Looked like you were off to a rough start. "Mom, this is Taeyong, the one I was-"
Her glare still fixed on the man, she muttered angrily, "He is not coming inside."
Taeyong glued his nervous gaze to the ground while you sternly told her, "Mom, can I talk to you first?" You stepped to the side where Taeyong wouldn't hear you, and she followed without dropping her scowl at him.
"Raymond said he's a-"
You cut her off before she could say anything you didn't want to hear. "I knew about Taeyong when you first asked me."
Her jaw dropped. "You lied?"
You nodded. "Because I knew you wouldn't be happy about it."
"You had perfect Raymond to be with and you let him go because of this... one?" She threw a look of disgust at Taeyong.
You held yourself back from clawing at her. "Raymond was talking shit about us and that was why Taeyong involved himself and how we ended up at the police station. You can even ask the officer there. He knows Taeyong well enough that he's a good person. If you can listen and trust me, I say you forget about that asshole you really like and give Taeyong a chance."
-
At the dining table, your mother kept her eyes trained on the quiet man next to you. Your father on the other hand was eating his meal as if there was no thick tension in the room. Your brother was nowhere in sight and if you had to guess where he was, he would be celebrating with his friends now that the business responsibility was off his shoulders.
"So, what do your parents do?" your mother asked Taeyong.
He swallowed his food slowly, keeping his eyes on the silverware and answered, "I don't have them."
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that."
"It's okay. I've never met them."
Your father stopped eating and for the first time lifted his eyes onto Taeyong. Your mother's jaw dropped in disbelief, and your breath hitched, finding out something new yet sad about him. "You've been an orphan?" you asked with gentleness in your tone.
He gave a curt nod.
Recovering from the shock, your mother let out an exasperated sigh. "He grew up without proper guidance. Is he really trustworthy?"
Your jaw fell at her outrageous remark. "Mom!"
She ignored you and asked him, "Do you love my daughter?"
Your father stared at his wife in disbelief. "She's mine too."
"You're not acting like it, stuffing your face in the food-"
"Stop!" You shouted without meaning to and mumbled an apology. "Sorry."
Your mother ignored you and resumed her attention on Taeyong. "So, do you?"
Your heart banged in your chest, worried to hear his answer. Liking was mutual, but love? It was too soon for such a confession without having discussed it beforehand.
But it wasn't for Taeyong. "Yes, I do."
You whipped your head to him, utterly shocked by the response.
Humming, your mother asked, "What do you love about her?"
So subtly, the corner of his lips curled up. "Her beautiful soul."
Knowing fully by what he meant, you coughed.
Your mother scoffed. "Oh really?"
"Yes, as beautiful as you, ma'am," Taeyong stated seriously.
The air became so still that your father landed his gaze onto him for the second time, not believing someone said that to his wife. You almost gasped loudly at the smooth compliment, impressed that he was going to earn some brownie points without your help.
Her eyes sparkled, and she couldn't lie to herself that she didn't feel something flutter inside her at the young man's words. "I'm flattered," she spoke softly. "Something this one hasn't said to me in decades," she scowled, nodding at her husband.
"Hey! You never asked for it!"
"I didn't ask for it from Taeyong." She crossed her arms in front of her chest and stared at the man across. "What a kind gentleman. But it's not enough. You know the biggest concern I have with him, Y/N."
A soft sigh left your lips as it was time to break the news. "I'm taking the family business."
All eyes shifted onto you with confusion written on their faces. You hadn't told Taeyong the plan as you wanted it to be a surprise.
"You know your brother is having it,” your father stated.
"And you know very well he doesn't want it. He'd rather have the luxury I got and marry a rich girl. I've already started learning from him today. You won't let me do anything else. At least let me handle the business and be with Taeyong, please?"
The two exchanged silent glances. Eventually, your father spoke up, liking your determination. "I don't see anything wrong with it. What do you say?" he asked his wife.
Your mother watched you with a tensed expression. Her eyes shifted between you and Taeyong before dropping her shoulders with a sigh. "Okay."
"Huh?"
Nodding, she forced a smile. "You can be with Taeyong."
It happened. She agreed. You couldn't believe your ears and turned to Taeyong with a huge growing smile, beaming in your seat with excitement bubbling in you. He smiled back seeing your happiness, but it fell slowly when his eyes landed on your mother. Taeyong observed her demeanor, observing the crease in her forehead. He could read it, having seen it often in his life.
She looked troubled.
-
Swirling the milkshake around with the straw, you took a long sip and glanced up at Taeyong. He was lost in his thoughts, mirroring your action with the straw. He only had a single sip so far while you nearly downed half of it. The diner was empty except for another couple sitting afar.
Licking your lips, you called for him softly. "Tae, what's up?"
He lifted his gaze and faked a smile. "Nothing."
You scoffed. "Oh really? Says the one who was really hungry since he barely ate at the dinner and now completely abandoned his burger and only tasted his milkshake. Come on, tell me what's on your mind?"
He stopped playing with his drink and pushed it away with a deep sigh. "Your mother... isn't happy."
You quirked an eyebrow up. "That I know."
Surprised, he asked, "Really?"
Nodding, you said, "It'll take her a while, but she'll eventually come around it. As long as she continuously sees me happy with you, she'll trust you one day. Until then, you just have to be patient. It's a big thing she at least agreed to give you a chance so let's cheer to that!"
Taeyong smiled briefly before it slipped off his face.
"Something else is bothering you, huh?"
"The... the business... you-"
You cut him off with a hum. "You're not happy that I didn't tell you about it, right?"
He sighed and added, "And you're doing that because I... I'm- you know..."
You huffed, rolling your eyes. "No, I'm doing it because I want to. And I don't care about what you have or don't have, as long as I don't lose you. It's nice that it worked out, me finally having something to do with my life, and still be by your side. How better can life get?" Taeyong watched your ecstatic smile, beaming so hard that you might split your face if it went any bigger. He'd do anything to see you like this, and so he trusted your word, his appetite at last opening up and devoured his late night meal.
After leaving the dimly lit diner and nearing his car, you halted your steps and told him, "You know you're cute, right?"
He stopped and slowly turned to face you. "What?"
Giggling quietly, you explained, "I didn't think you were the type to worry about what others felt. I thought you were badass, maybe rebellious type. It's cute seeing you worry about my mom. Other guys wouldn't even care."
You thought he'd crack a smile, but when he only stared back at you blankly, you freaked out.
Crap, did I push the wrong button? Did it trigger his orphaned life? "Did I hurt you? Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry."
But you didn't. Not when you heard a faint throaty growl. It was so faint that your ears wouldn't have caught it if it weren't for the silence of the near empty parking lot.
In a flash, you were enveloped tightly in his arms as he smashed his lips onto yours, moving rough and fast as if he were starving for your taste.
No milkshake could quench his thirst for you.
You melted into the heated make out session and cupped his face. Too lost in the lip lock, you didn't realize when he lifted you until your bum felt the coolness of a metal surface. When he pulled back with lust-filled eyes, you looked around.
He had put you on top of his car's trunk.
"Tae, why-" You were cut off when he reattached his lips onto you, trailing down towards your jawline and eventually settling to attack your neck. His fingers danced along your bare thighs, bunching your dress upward, and you shivered when his fingers traveled closer to your heat. Your legs quivered when feeling the combination of your growing wetness and the coolness of the night.
Without once abandoning his attack on your neck, he spread your legs apart and his fingers found your clothed clit, circling over it. You let out a loud moan, bucking your hips to silently ask for more. Shoving your panties aside, he pushed a finger inside, making you gasp inwardly and rolled your hips. Abruptly, he plunged a second one in and your body arched backwards, your hands finding the surface of the trunk to prop you from falling. Repeatedly going out and in till knuckle deep and curling to hit the right spots that neared you to release, he watched your beautiful lips spill out soft sighs and silent cries.
"I'm close," you whispered with your brows scrunching up.
And right after you said that, Taeyong stilled his fingers.
Your eyes flew open, panting heavily. "Why you stop?"
With a smirk, he completely withdrew his fingers from your heat and licked them clean. Walking away from you, he opened the driver's door and you realized what he was doing.
"Are you seriously going to leave me hot and bothered like this? Come back and finish what you started!" you shouted as you hopped off the car.
But he shook his head at you, tsking. "Consider it payback for what you did earlier."
Your blood ran cold at his mean game. "Hey! I gave you what you wanted after! I even let you come that time! That's not fair!" you screamed, stomping your feet madly.
He only chuckled in response, loved seeing you desperate for him, and wanted to drag it a little longer for your reaction until-
"If you don't, then I'm gonna go inside and get that waiter to help me release!"
Taeyong froze, his hand gripping the door tightly with his furious eyes on you. Taeyong had noticed the way that waiter subtly eyed you on your way out and refrained from doing anything more when he caught Taeyong giving him a deadly glare. "You wouldn't."
You knew you wouldn't. Not after you met Taeyong. But two could play a game. "You know I would, seeing that I've done it before," you said with a sly smile.
He glared at you for a hot second before slamming his door shut and rounded back to you. Lifting you back onto the trunk, he ripped your legs apart and dove his head in between your legs. His teeth nipped at your folds, and you let out a cry in both pain and pleasure. His tongue dove into your heat, making you gasp and sob at how good it felt as you balled up your hands with his hair. Taeyong gave a few harsh sucks, and within seconds you came on his tongue. You cried out his name and your back arched all the way till it laid flat against the rear window as Taeyong drew out your release. After slurping the last drop of your essence, he pulled back and watched your chest rise and fall slowly back to its normal rate.
"That was mean," you said, referring to his game after catching your breath.
He pulled you down till you were on your feet again, holding you up as your legs refused to stay steady. Your thumb swept across his bottom lip to collect your cum.
"Not meaner than you saying you'd get help from a stranger. Only I get access there. You deserve a punishment,” he said, and his hand flew down to palm his member to life.
You shook your head. "No, I don't. It was your fault for leaving me like that. If anything, you deserve a punishment."
Taeyong liked that and leaned in super close, his hands resting on the car by either sides of your body, trapping you in place. "Oh yeah? What's my punishment, doll?"
You innocently smiled at him and uttered the cruelest thing that his ears had to bear. "You're not getting anything else tonight." With a hard flick of finger at his forehead, he yelped as his hands went up to rub at the burst of pain. Giggling giddily, you dashed off into his car before he'd actually fuck you in the middle of the parking lot.

Yes, No, Maybe So
jason todd x singlemom!reader
no a/n, really. jus that i legit LOVE jason x singlemom!readers so if there’s some recs please send them in lmao. (also, i can guarantee there will be more from where this came from so prepare if you can.)
also, enjoy this gif. it’s far from relevant but wicked awesome lmao. lmk what you think of this. i adore jason and there aren’t nearly enough fics for him.
Tumblr media
Maybe being a single parent was hard, and maybe being in Gotham made it harder, but the fact that you can have a child of your own? Well, that alone made it worth everything.
He was named Jay, too. After both his father and Jay Gatsby. And looked like him, as well. His father, I mean. He had the same striking blue eyes and the same jet black hair. However, Jay had your skin tone, but that was one of the few features you shared. It was that and his hair style, which was (curly/straight/wavy). But otherwise, he looked exactly like his father.
Also, it’s not important or anything, but it was actually his middle name that was Jay. His first was (*Pick A Cute Name Because IDK And It Would Be Bowie If It Were Up To Me Oof*).
And that hurt you at first. It hurt you, when you looked at your son, because you could only see his father. In his eyes you could only see the man you loved, the man who was instead of given the break he deserved brutally murdered.
The man who broke your heart in two.
But you can’t dwell on that now, can you? You’ve moved on and even if you haven’t totally you must pretend for now. For Jay if nothing else. For Jason.
“Sweetie,” You said to your son. He turned towards you at the mention of one of his many pet names, and like every other time, your heart melted at his glistening icy eyes. And you melted his the sight of mouth, too, and of course his hair and height and his everything, really, because he looks just like his father.
“Yeah, Mama?” Jay said, eyebrows pulled together and head tilted ever so slightly, barely, but also quizzically.
You shook your head for good measures and pulled yourself together once more. Smiling at your boy, you made something up. Really, you had selfishly just wanted to make him stay. You wanted to tell him that no, that it’s okay if he wants to stay home because he lives in Gotham and Gotham is a terrible place. That he’s always welcome to cancel his plans and instead stay with you. That please, Jay. Please cancel your plans and stay home, here, with you, because you can’t afford to let anything happen to your little one. Not like it did, Jason.
But that’s too selfish. Jay wouldn’t understand, and you didn’t want him to. Instead, you made something up again. Instead, you said, “Just... be careful out there.” Then, “Remember dinner’s at grandpa’s tonight. Try to be home around five, okay?”
“Sure thing, Mama,” Jay said with a smile. It was always Mama. Never Mom, never Mommy, but Mama. You loved it. “I’ll be home soon.”
“Wait!”
Jay turned his shoulder, towards you. His dark eyebrows were furrowed once more until he saw you tilt your cheek to him. Then, with a grin mirroring his father’s, he ran to you and kissed your cheek. “Love you, Mama,” He whispered.
“I love you, too, baby. Be careful!”
Come back soon.
The ride to the Wayne Manor was... interesting at best. In a polite way, of course, but also... well, never mind that. You had arrived, hadn't you? Isn't that all that matters?
That, and...
"Alfred!" Jay suddenly cheered. He threw his arms around the man and earned a chuckle.
You bent over, gushing to your son about his manners, until Alfred told you otherwise. Then, with a sudden frown, he informed you that Bruce needed your help. He'd take care of "Young Master Jay", he said. And that "you mustn't worry so much, Miss (Y/n)".
But you were worried.
And so even though you were worried, you walked to the Batcave, where Bruce Wayne was standing, puzzled and intrigued and afraid all at once because if Bruce needed you... well it had to be big, right?
"(Y/n)!" The man said. "Come."
You complied, "Uh, Bruce, what-"
"Wait!" A different voice echoed. You turned, and found the figure running towards you to be Dick, Jason's former brother and Bruce's first adoptive son. "Bruce, are you sure this is a good idea?" He said once he caught up to you two.
He was met with a grunt from the former before continuing, "I mean... her life is really good right now. Really good. Jay's happy, he's in a good place and I'd hate to-"
"She needs to know, Dick," The man said.
"But..."
Grunt (again).
"Fine. Just... just don't regret this."
"I won't."
"Um..." You said, looking between the two men. "Is something wrong?"
"Not in the way you're thinking," Dick murmured. Bruce, in return, sent him a quick glare and then motioned for you to move closer to him.
"Look here," Bruce said, pointing at a sheet he suddenly held in hand. You blinked, skimming through the data. It read Willis Todd and Shiela Haywood, but...
"What's this from?" You asked.
"Blood samples from the Red Hood, taken a few days ago," Bruce said gruffly. He was staring at you, waiting for a reaction because how would you feel? Even after all these years.... Happy? Sad? Something else? Mad?
"What?"
Or "what?", maybe. That's probably the best one yet, Bruce figures.
Until, "He's back, (Y/n)," Dick whispered.
"I... no," You said. No, because he can't be back. He died, six years ago, by the hands of the Joker. Tortured and burned and ultimately blown up. People don't just survive that kind of thing.
And also, you were there. Not at his death site but at his funeral, at his grave sight, at the wake and at the lowering of his casket into the grave. You saw his body, it was dead.
Hell, you fucking grieved! You cried endlessly for weeks and weeks and even months! You visited his grave for every anniversary! You came for every birthday, too! With flowers and a goddamned love note in hand, no fail ever!
So why? Why pull this? Why to you and why right now?
Dick pressed his lips together, "I'm so sorry, (Y/n), I-"
"Do you think I'm stupid?"
"What? No, I-"
"Am I joke to you two? I mean, seriously?! If you wanted me gone you could have just said so! I can't bel-"
"(Y/N)!" Bruce yelled, startling you into silence. "I know this is hard to believe, but you need to calm down. Jay might-”
"The fuck you know about Jay! He's mine! My son which I birthed and I raised, okay?! I know him best, and I-"
"LISTEN!" Bruce yelled, stunning you into silence. "I know it's crazy. I get it, really, just... listen to me, okay? Just give me a chance."
"Why should I?" You said.
"When have I ever lied to you?
"You see?" Bruce breathed, taking his moment because who knows if you'd let him speak to you again.
"The body... at Jason's grave... is a fake. Ra's al Ghul put it there, he... he hired Joker to preform a distraction, and, well, accidentally killed Jason.
"But he also brought him back to life! At least until Jason escaped.... but now he's here, because..." Bruce looked up, into your eyes. "He wants to kill the Joker, (Y/n)," He said.
No - "But that's suicide," You said.
"Exactly. And he won't listen to me, so I need you to come help me."
"Me? But..."
"He knows about Jay," Bruce continued. "But... he doesn't know who's he is."
"Pardon?"
"He doesn't know that Jay is his," Dick clarified. "He thinks you've moved on."
"But I haven't! I-"
"I know, (Y/n)," Dick said. "I know. I was there... but he wasn't, remember? He died and missed it all.... Which is why we need your help."
You looked back to Bruce. He nodded slightly, and you looked to Dick once more. Then, you said, "Fine. When do we leave?"
"Now."
[yes, i do realize that this timeline is mad fucked, but do i care? nah. but also, part two maybe??]

What I Thought About "Yesterday's Lie" from The Owl House
Salutations, random people on the internet who absolutely won’t read this! I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons!
Here it is! The midseason finale of The Owl House Season Two! An episode featuring Luz going back to the human realm, is hyped up to heaven about how painful it'll be for the audience, and features more anxiety by how Creepy Luz is a thing. And BOOOOOOOOY howdy were fans not ready for this. I'm sure as hell not ready for when I wrote this intro at *checks time* thirty minutes before watching the official premier. Yup, the words you're reading right now are from me in the past, when everything was still pure and simple. Whereas future me is still probably destroyed by the events that transpired. Isn't that right, future me?
Future Me: Actually, it wasn’t that bad. The ending hurt, sure, but other than that, it wasn’t too painful.
Wow, that is some neat input! At least, I think it was. I wouldn't know because I literally wrote that after watching the episode. With the words you're currently reading being written at *checks time* twenty-six minutes before the premier...this whole intro is confusing, isn't it, future me?
Future Me: Sure is.
Yeah, it's definitely confusing. In any case, let's dive into this spoiler-filled review as we find out together just how painful this episode was! Take it away, future me!
Future Me: Will do! Major spoilers ahead, folks!
Now, let’s review, shall we?
WHAT I LIKED
Luz’s Room: We only see it for a short time, but everything about it just screams Luz. The pile of weird-looking stuffed animals, the witch hat in the center of the floor, and the fact that she has bunk beds, a single child's dream (Or so I've heard). It's a small thing, but I love it.
Vee: Here she is! The character previously dubbed Creepy Luz who now turns out to be yet another new addition to the ever-growing list of characters that we, as a fandom, would give our lives for. Because holy s**t was Vee the best type of expectation subversion. Showing us all the ominous ways of how she basically took Luz's place made fans assume that Vee was an evil doppelganger. Turns out, she was just a tortured soul that was desperate to live a new and better life and lucked out in finding Luz's. What Vee does is...questionable at best, but seeing what she went through with the experiments Belos pulled on her, you understand why she would do it. And I personally love it's that same background information that makes Vee resentful of Luz of all people. Luz's life is a relative dream come true, and running away from that would be insane to someone who spent most of their existence through imprisonment and experimentation. It's an intriguing point of view, even though it's admittingly flawed given how it's mostly Camila that seemingly made Luz's life bearable. But the flaws don't matter. What matters is that you can see where Vee is coming from, and to me, personally, I think she's understandable enough to make me root for her to have some kind of happy ending. Whether as Luz or as herself, I'm hopeful to see Vee get some semblance of peace.
Camila: *Round of applause* Don't mind me! Just taking the time to love how all them sons of b**hes who thought Camila was a bad mom are now heavily invalidated. 'Cause, guess what? Camila is a fantastic mother, both to her daughter and her daughter's doppelganger! Allow me to walk you through the highlights:
How Camila looks like she’s not okay with the fact that "Luz" is clearing out her weird stuff, seemingly acting too different to the Luz she knows. Added to the fact that Camila doesn't like it.
How Camila drove Luz to camp whether than letting her take the bus
The fact that Camila takes that box of junk back in, not willing to part with the tin foil sculpture Luz made.
The way she was willing to play along with the game she thought Luz was doing, supporting her daughter's creative mind that Camila admits to being glad to see.
And, best of all, the willingness Camila had to help this poor creature, despite the lies it lived.
It's that last part I really want to touch upon, though. Because an action like that shows just how much Luz's heart comes from Camila. The kindness and generosity of helping this poor creature, who she has every right to run out on, proves how Luz learned to be everything she is today through Camila's own loving heart. Vee was scared and hurt, and the second Camila saw that she was then more than willing to help because of it. It's something that Luz would do, and it proves that even though Camila didn't exactly get everything right, she's still a great mom where it counts.
“A new life”: A perfect line.
Initially, it makes audiences think that it has everything to do with replacing Luz. It's only through future context that we know it's about escaping the s**t show Vee once lived through that it's clear she's talking about starting over. It hits us with intrigue on the first viewing, only to hit harder with the feels during a second. Really well-done.
Luz in the Mirror: A well-done surprise that makes fans curious about how this even happen in the first place. Kudos to you, writers.
The New Portal: I don't mind that they found a way to build this off-screen. Showing Luz and the gang slowly building a new portal would have been a little too tedious to watch, and it's so much better to just start this episode out with it. Besides, maybe we'll get the slow and steadier version now that we've seen how quickly building one might not have been the best way to go, given how fast that thing fell apart.
Luz Between Dimensions: I have no clue what the hell that place she was in is called, but it's awesome! The overall design of the realm is the correct type of unsettling, like it's oozing with mystery, but it's somewhere that you probably don't want to be in for too long. Whoever designed it deserves all of the credit because I don't want to even think about all the hard work that went into making this look as well-made as it was.
Luz Resisting to See Amity: What? Luz and Amity are adorable, and seeing Luz's immediate thought about seeing Amity makes my shipping heart scream with glee. Don't judge me!
Hiding Luz’s Dad’s Face: Well, that was a fun story while it lasted.
So, it turns out that Luz's dad really was a part of Luz's and Camila's life at some point, but not anymore. As for why remains to be seen, as we don't really know yet if we'll see him make an appearance. I'd say that the odds are high that he will, given how much of a point this episode made about keeping his face hidden. Shows don't usually do that unless the goal is to hype up some official reveal, and I can't wait to see what comes of it.
Luz Telling Herself to Count to Five: Hey, more evidence for how I relate to Luz! I know how it feels to be all panicky about a specific situation, and I only got better when I took the time to calm down for a bit. Sometimes, I even tried the "count to x" method that Luz used...it never worked, primarily because it made me feel worse when people told me to do it, but I still tried it! Plus, there's also some narrative foreshadowing when after Luz says five, the realm shows her Vee, or Number V, which is a pretty cool detail you'll notice on a rewatch.
Luz Helping Vee: I gave Camila praise for helping Vee in the end, but that doesn't abstain Luz from her own set of recognition. The second that Luz realized that Vee wasn't really a threat and is far from evil, our favorite human does what she can to help and even makes a deal where they're both happy. Because, of course, Luz is that perfect of a protagonist who is more than willing to help others in need. And it's why we love her so.
Looking for Magic that Eda Left Behind: A pretty cool idea that gives Luz and Vee a chance to bond and giving us an insight into Eda's past antics and misadventures in the human realm. Not much I can add to it, though.
Gravesfield: It's surprisingly not as jarring as I thought it would be to spend an episode in the human realm. I thought for sure, after all that time in the Boiling Isles, there would be something off about walking around a normal environment for a change. Turns out, it's almost easy to get used to. Or, for me, it is.
But I will say that there's this neat use of colors when comparing Gravesfield with the Boiling Isles. In Gravesfield, the coloring looks dulled down and standard, which is a stark contrast to the bright vibrancy of everything we've seen in the Boiling Isles. It's a subtle way of showing how things are different, aside from the major discrepancies we could come to expect. And I think that's why I appreciate it much more.
Eda’s Called Herself Marylynn in the Human Realm: Hang on...hang on...do you mean to tell me that the crack theory about Eda being Stan's ex-wife is actually true?
...
...What even is this show?!
Vee Making Friends with Camp Members: This shows the most apparent difference between Luz and Vee. Where we see Luz is already fearing the many ways that could go wrong with interacting with teens, Vee revealed that she adapted to her situation and had a chance to make friends. The implications of this are worth discussing another time, but for now, I'll say that it's pretty intriguing that we gain this much insight into both Luz and Vee through such a small thing.
Belos Wanting to Learn How Basilisks can Drain Magic: ...Didn't Raine say that Belos was taking away magic? If so, I think we can figure out how he's doing it. The question now is: Why?
Jacob (The Curator Guy): This guy was a riot. At first, Jacob seemed like a threat with the way he trapped Vee and was apparently stocking her, but the second he goes off about his conspiracy theories, it becomes clear what type of character he is. And was it a blast seeing how much of a crackpot this man is. It wasn't cool seeing him wanting to dissect the precious angel that is Vee, but I still chuckle about things like his "Flat Eather's Certificate." So while he's not that much of a threat, he's still fun to watch.
The Owl Beast was in the Human Realm: ...How did that happen? When did it happen? And how the hell did Eda get out of a situation like that?! Who knows, but it's still a shocking piece of news to learn.
Luz Telling Camila the Truth: Hey, she faced her fear after all! Although, the results aren't as pleasant as when Amity faced her fear two weeks ago.
Camila is a Veterinarian: ...One insignificant reveal...managed to destroy so many fanfics. I mean, we probably shouldn't have just assumed Camila was a nurse...but what the f**k else were we supposed to think?! Sorry for seeing the scrubs, and the first thing that came to my mind was "nurse" and not "vet."
By the way, that had to have been intentional, right? There's no way that Dana Terrace didn't think we'd assume Camila was a nurse. She'd had to have put off a reveal like that just to trip up her fans. And if that's the case, then that is a major d**k move...but that's why I mildly respect it.
Two Human Brothers went to the Demon Realm: Turns out we don't have to be in the Boiling Isles to learn more about it. Because now we have more information about how two humans were taken to the Isles with the help of a witch, thus setting up a grander reveal if it turns out that one of the humans was Philip and the witch was Belos. Because if that's true...then there's more of a history between those two than we thought.
Jacob has a Training Wand: This helps me believe that it's highly likely for Jacob to make a return and to have a power boost for when he does. After all, focussing all that attention on the training wand is way too convenient for it not to come up again in the future. Meaning we're most likely going to get more pain from Jacob if he shows up again.
Camila Beats the Crap out of Jacob for Vee: ...Writers, don't make me choose between Camila and Eda on who's the better cartoon mom. I know Eda's technically not a mom...BUT I STILL DON'T WANT TO CHOOSE DAMNIT!
Also, the sandal...just...
Why the f**k does Camila have a sandal in her purse? I don't know. Is it still funny that she does? Most certainly.
Camila and Luz’s Talk in the Rain: Ooooooooh, I was not ready for this...
I wasn't ready for the crying.
I wasn't ready for the hurt in Camila's eyes when she found out Luz chose to stay in the Boiling Isles.
I wasn't ready for Camila asking if Luz hates being with her that much.
I wasn't ready for Luz profusely stating how it was never Camila's fault.
I was not ready for Camila to tell Luz that she'll try to do better.
And I definitely was not ready for Luz to barely have enough time to promise that she'll come back.
This episode wasn't the twenty-two minutes of nonstop angst that I thought it was going to be...but this short scene more than make up for it.
Luz Tries to Stay Strong: Yet another thing she unwittingly learned from Camila. Camila tried to keep a brave face when Vee was with her and Luz, most likely not wanting to tear either of them down in the process. Luz does the same thing here as she avoids talking about the details of what went down in her sort-of journey back home. And seeing her clearly fake smile slowly droop into an uncertain frown, it uh...it definitely tore me up inside.
WHAT I DISLIKED
I want to say it's perfect, but there's one major issue that really bogs this episode down.
Continuity Error in How Vee Replaced Luz: Having Vee take Luz's place the same day Luz appeared in the Isles is a smart idea on paper...if it wasn't for the fact that it's impossible.
Because Eda closed the portal door the second that she saw Luz, meaning that there's no way for Vee to go to the human realm. It's a major plothole that makes no sense, and it might just be the first time ever that this series wasn't so closely knit with its story. Which ends up taking a dive in quality in the process.
IN CONCLUSION
I'd say that "Yesterday's Lie" is an A-. Everything about Luz, Vee, and Camila is incredible, combined into a story that ends in tragedy and uncertainty for the future. That plothole may drag things down a bit, but everything else is handled so well that I'm not lying when I say it's easy to forgive and forget.
(And that's ten episodes in a row without a single stinker. HOW THE F**K DOES THIS SEASON KEEP WINNING?!)
