.✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚✧.
It has been a little over a week since your kidnapping. Things also have finally gone back to normal.
Except…
“Joooooooonggiiiieee!!!!!”
The yell for the captain of ATZ can be heard throughout the entire mansion, along with the sound of stomping pretty pink high heels.
“Oh my.”
“Well aren’t you in trouble”
Soon the door to Hongjoongs office was bursted open revealing the little fireball of which they call ‘Their Princess.’
“Oh princess.. whats the matter??”
That question only made your frown grow and eyebrows furrow even more.
“You promised we’d finally go shopping today! You said you wanted to dress me up! I’ve been waiting in the living room for over an hour!”
“Oooohh good luck with that!”
“See ya later our troubled husband! Hope she goes easy on you!”
The boys in the room quickly scatter, but of course not before giving you a sweet kiss and a compliment to your pretty outfit.
“Oh darling.. I’m so sorry!! I got caught up with work! Things have gotten so hectic princess.. there are these idiots that are always giving us trouble! And just….” As he kept going trying to give you reasons he notices your expression hasn’t changed at all, which makes him sigh.
Ever since your kidnapping, your husbands have become too anxious. So now they can’t even put their trust into any new body guards. Especially since the one that has ratted out your existence is still unknown.
So they took it upon themselves to always be your chaperone when you go out. As much of a hassle you thought it would be, it honestly just gives them an excuse to be around you even more. So in the end you just let them do it.
“I’m sorry our princess.. I mean it I’m very sorry…” he says as he gets up and makes his way over to you, pulling you close.
“Do you still want to go now..?”
“Can you go?”
“I have to make it up to you, don’t I?”
“And those idiots??”
“Hmmm well.. why don’t you tell me what I should do to them sweetheart?”
“Hmmmph. Well if they’re giving you guys so much trouble and they’re idiots, I don’t see why you can’t just kill them off and take what you need. We have the resources and manpower, plus you’ve done it before! You did it literally a week ago. You’re ATZ for goodness sake. No one is above you!” You say like it was nothing.
And you were right.
Hongjoong chuckles as he sits down and brings you into his lap.
“While you are correct my love, unfortunately what we need from them, requires them to still be alive. For now.” He explains.
“Ughh fineee…” You groan.
As you opened your mouth to speak again. That’s when a loud shrill screech disturbed the peacefulness of the moment.
“What now?!” Hongjoong barked.
“Oh! That must be my doing!” You said with what can only be described as a maniacal glint in your eyes.
“Oh?”
“Come Joongie! I’ll show you! Then we’ll go shopping!”
“Whatever you desire Princess.” He says with a kiss to your new diamond ring.
.✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚✧.
“LET GO OF ME!! LET GO!! I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG?! UNHAND ME AT ONCE!!”
“Then why did you run?”
“H-huh..?”
Here in the middle of your grand foyer, was a girl being held down by two men on her knees. Behind her, every single one of your maids stood their sights straight down.
While in front of her is where you stood. Tall and proud. Wearing a stoic expression however the glint from earlier still in your eyes.
“Princess?? What do we have here?” Seonghwa asks.
Your husbands have all now gathered around you on top of the staircase. Simply enjoying the show.
You spin on your heels to look up at them with a wide cheshire grin. “You’ll see my loves!”
“Sirs..! Sirs please!! Please help me! She’s mistaken!”
SMACK
“Don’t you dare speak to my husbands.” You growl. “Ugh look at what you’ve done! You’ve gotten blood on my new ring!” Your finger now slightly dripping blood from where the diamond cut her cheek.
“Oh no.. No worries sweetheart, we’ll make you a new one.” San tells you.
“Oooh! Alright Sannie Thank you!”
“Please.. why are you doing this?? What did I do wrong?”
Your laugh then rings out throughout the foyer. Echoing beautifully off the walls.
“Stop your pathetic little act.” You say as you crouch down to her eye level.
“I know you were the one that snitched about me.”
At this revelation your husbands became even more interested than before. They all perked up and blood boiling again now that they finally have the culprit.
“What?! Who even are you??!”
They’re so angry they want to just run down and tear her limb from limb. However they know you have something plan. So they just let you have your fun.
You smirk widens at Wooyoungs question. As you know how reality shattering it is to her.
“W-what..? You don’t.. recognize me?? Sir Wooyoung! I’ve worked here for years!! ..None.. of you recognize me?” She asks pitifully.
As she looks up at all of them, she sees nothing but fury and confusion. Not a single one of them having any knowledge on who she is.
SMACK
“I told you. Do not. EVER. Speak. To MY. Husbands.”
You then got up and turn back to your loves above you.
“My darlings. This here. Used to be one of our maids. And she thought that by getting rid of me. She could have all of you.”
“What?!”
“How absurd!”
“How stupid is what that is!”
“No! Its not true! It’s not! It wasn’t me!!! I-I would never betray any of you!” She continues to plea.
“Then why. Did. You. Run?”
“I-I didn’t..”
“Did you really think I wouldn’t notice your absence ever since I was returned home? Hah! It’s what gave you away! And you actually thought they would? and what?! go searching for you?!” You laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.
“The day after I returned home from my kidnapping. I realized we were short staffed. It didn’t take me long to realize it was you. When I asked, Kim said you resigned due to health. I didn’t believe it for a second. So I had them search your room. And look what I found!”
At your signal, The head maid Kim stepped forward and gave you a pile of letters.
Love letters.
“Hmm. I’m sure you can guess what these are. You wrote them. Each and every one of them. You didn’t hide them very well. Not sure why you didn’t even just burn or take them with you.” You scoff.
“They’re quite romantic actually… If. They weren’t addressed to my beloveds.”
Her blood has gone cold. She doesn’t know what to do. She can only kneel there looking up at you as she fears her fate.
Unfortunately her fate was sealed the second she began writing these letters.
“I-it’s not.. no… I-I never even gave it to them! Please!! It’s not what it looks like.”
“You thought once you got rid of me. You could swoop in and take my place. However once I came back alive, you decided to run. Thinking I would never suspect you. You then also believed that any of my husbands would realize you stopped being around and come looking for you! Because somehow you have convinced yourself that they’re in love with you! They don’t even know you!!”
“THEY LOVE ME!!!”
SMACK
“Oh. That was the hardest one yet.” Mingi whispers to Yunho. Who nods in agreement.
While on the other side of the staircase Yeosang whispers to Jongho about how this maid is insane to ever think that.
“100%.”
“They don’t. Why would they?” You start then throwing her letters in her face.
“Why would distinguished men like them ever waste space in their brains for a lowly pathetic slut like you? Let alone space in their hearts.”
“…I just..”
“Enough talking. You’ve said far more than you deserve. And frankly I’m bored already.”
You then extend your hand out. One of the henchmen that was holding her down then hands you a syringe.
The girl then panics at the sight of an unknown syringe.
“Wait no please! Whats in that?! What are you gonna do to me?!”
“You could’ve had anything you wanted in this mansion. Anything. And I promise you. I would’ve happily given them to you. My clothes. My shoes. My jewels. My gold. Anything. I’m just that generous.”
You open the syringe cap.
“However the thing you decided to covet? Were the only things that were forbidden. My. Prized possessions. My husbands. And for that. You must suffer the consequence.”
Before she can even let out another sound of protest you injected her straight in the neck.
You and the men holding her down then stepped back as her screams quickly filled the foyer. Her skin and flesh melting straight off of her bones.
“So thats what she ordered acid for.” Hongjoong then mumbles.
“You knew she ordered acid?” Wooyoung asks
“She used my card.” Hongjoong shrugs.
It was a ghastly sight but none of them were even slightly bothered.
Well.
Of course the other maids were.
Once her screams come to a halt. And she was nothing but a pile of goop on the once spotless marbled floor.
You laughed.
Your husbands then descended the stairs.
Once your laughing fit was over you addressed the other maids who were still standing there. Mortified of what has become of their once friend.
“Now all of you. Remember my words. You are free to ask anything you want from me. I have more than enough for multiple lifetimes so I’ll be happy to give it to you. However. If you ever even for a nanosecond think. You could replace me or take any of my husbands away from me. Well. Ask her how that turned out for her.” Fire resonating deep in your voice.
“Thats all. Now all of you clean this up please!” You then say with a bright smile as if the past 20 minutes or so didn’t just happen.
“Come now darling. I believe I owe you a shopping trip.” Hongjoong then says as he puts his hand on your lower back.
“Ah yes!! Lets go! May all my beloveds come with?? Then we can have dinner?”
“Why not?” Yunho says with a bright smile.
Your husband then all lead you out to the car.
“You know no one could ever take us from you. Right Princess?” San says softly to you.
“Of course! I would never let them.”
“Of course you wouldn’t. We wouldn’t either.” Yeosang says.
“They literally can’t our love. You have us all wrapped around your pretty delicate fingers.” Wooyoung adds as he kisses your ring finger.
“I know.”

Some guy gets arrested
Inspired by @medium-sized-ghost addition to the Original Post.
Masterpost
“So sorry about this, Mr. Wayne.”
“No, I understand. I’m just glad to see the law doing their job so well.” Bruce continues pleasantly through the police station with Commissioner Gordon leading the way.
“We’ll get this sorted out as soon as possible, but in the meantime you will need to unfortunately be placed in holding.”
“Of course. It’s really no problem, it was my mistake missing my court date like that. Time just gets away from me sometimes, you know?” Nevermind the fact that Bruce hadn’t even known about said court date or the speeding ticket it was for. He couldn’t prove which child had taken his car for a joy ride, but his prime suspects were Jason or Dick. (He would later find out that it was Stephanie upon a dare from Duke. He already attempted to banned them from playing Truth or Dare after Tim convinced Dick to do a handstand on Jason’s bike going 95 down the freeway. Not that Dick really needed any convincing.)
“Well you’re in luck, one cell is mostly empty.” It was a small cell closer to the front. Bruce could see a teenager laying on the bench to the right. Gordon opened the door and stood to the side so Bruce could enter and locked the door behind him. “Would you like anything to drink? Water? Coffee?”
Bruce smiled, “No, thank you.” Gordon nodded and looked past Bruce at the only other occupant in the cell, “What about you kid? Anything?”
Bruce watched as the kid, one he unfortunately recognized, lifted his arm from where it was thrown over his eyes and waved it in the air at the commissioner, “I’m good.” The arm went back down. Gordon grunted, “alright Officer Mitchell is keeping watch, call out if either of you need anything.”
With that Bruce was left alone with the boy who had befuddled and befriended his many children. He sat on the opposite bench and thought about how best to approach the young man. Danny had never responded well to Batman and there was no telling how he would respond to Bruce. According to Tim, Danny actually had some respect for Bruce and the money he dumped into bettering Gotham. (When it was announced that the public library was being renovated Danny had interrogated Tim about it and then offered his own opinions on how to involve more of the general population.)
Bruce didn’t think the time called for his “Brucie” persona and he couldn’t be Batman at the moment. He could approach the boy in a “fatherly” manner but that approach rarely worked on his own kids, he didn’t think it would work on this one.
“Have you called anyone?”
Danny looked out from under his arm and stared at Bruce suspiciously. In hindsight it was a creepy question.
Bruce brought his hands up and breathed a laugh, “I’m sorry, I meant have you been given your one phone call?” Danny didn’t move. “Why? You a lawyer?” He eyed Bruce in his nice suit and watch.
Bruce smiled at the boy, “goodness no, I don’t have the attention span for law school. I actually did pre-med before dropping out.”
Danny seemed too curl a little more into himself. It was the most cautious Bruce had ever seen him. He was locked in a Gotham police cell with a man in an expensive suit who seemed completely unconcerned about being arrested, it was wise on Danny’s part to be wary.
Bruce stuck out his hand, “Bruce Wayne.” Slowly, Danny sat up and crossed his arm scoffing, “why would Bruce Wayne be in a holding cell?” Bruce continued to smile at the kid and shrugged, his hand still in the air, “speeding ticket I’m afraid, missed my court date. I do have to say, though, the updated traffic cameras are a good investment by the police department.” “Wayne Enterprises payed for them.” “We did?” Bruce asked, knowing full well it was to give Oracle better camera footage. “You were at the press release.” “Huh.” Bruce looked thoughtful for a minute, “mm no, not ringing any bells. I go to so many of those press conferences, they just bleed together after a while.” “Mhm.” Danny still didn’t take the offered hand. Bruce sighed and let it drop back to his lap, “I’d offer to show you my ID but I don’t exactly have it on me.”
They sat and watched each other for a minute. Danny shifted and seemed to make a decision, “I work at a coffee shop and one of your sons is a regular.” Bruce slapped his thigh as if a light bulb suddenly went off, “You’re Danny! Tim’s mentioned you! You know he’s the only one with a weakness for caffeine, the others like to tease him but I don’t think he has an addiction. However, he does seem to spend a lot of time at that shop.” Bruce leaned forward as if confiding a secret, “to be honest, I think he has a bit of a crush on you.”
Dropping his own arms, Danny sighed. “Yeah, he’s not really that subtle.”
“No, I’m afraid he’s never been good at that. At least not when he’s interested in someone.” Tim was great at subtlety when it came to the mission but never in his personal life. The funny part was he didn’t even draw that distinction on purpose.
“I called a family friend. To answer your question. He should be here soon.” Bruce nodded, “so you do have people you can rely on in town?” “I could have a whole family I can rely on in this city.” Danny said, catching the older man's slip. He shifts further in his seat and stared hard at Bruce.
Bruce knew Danny had no one in town. He did the background check, Danny's whole family lived in Ohio with the exception of his older sister who was in one of the top psychology programs in the country. They seemed to visit each other often but rarely their parents.
The older man dawned an apologetic expression. “I’m sorry, I assumed when you said ‘a family friend’.” Bruce leaned back against the wall behind him, “are you from Gotham?”
“No,” Danny shifted further back in his seat and didn’t take his eyes off Bruce.
It was different from how the boy interacted with Batman. To the billionaires alter ego Danny was defiant and outspoken. He always seemed to say what was on his mind, completely uncaring of the audience he had.
——-
“Mr. Fenton, your god-father is here for you.”
Danny never thought he’d feel this relieved to know Vlad was picking him up. While Mr. Wayne had been nothing but polite, something about the man felt off. Danny also didn’t appreciate the questions. What was it to this man if Danny had family near by or not?
One of the cops opens the door with Vlad in his nice suit and overly polished shoes right behind him.
“Daniel, let’s not make this a habit.”
“I was just feeding the homeless dogs!”
“Strays.” Vlad corrected, “while trespassing?”
Danny rolled his eyes and continued pass his “uncle”.
“How am I supposed to know an abandoned building is considered ‘private property?”
Vlad just sighed.
——
Bonus:
Stephanie would continue to stick to her story, thank you very much. She had every right to punch the creep and she wasn’t backing down. Not even if “the creep” was apparently the son of a very influential prosecutor. A corrupt one, but he was influential nonetheless. Such is the justice system in Gotham.
Even if it landed her in a police station, handcuffed to a desk while said creep cried about the bloody nose she gave him.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, she crossed her legs and continued to glare at the door way that led to the holding cells. It was her night off and she still had to deal with this godforsaken city’s degenerate citizens. God forbid she have a day off.
It was while glaring at said door that Steph noticed a familiar boy walking out with a gentleman she wasn’t familiar with. He was a little behind Danny but reached out and grabbed his shoulder, stopping him just before leaving the hallway. Steph slid her gaze away but kept her ears open, grateful she was close enough to hear.
“You need to be more careful, Daniel.”
Danny didn’t respond and Steph looked over to see him pull his shoulder away and start walking again.
“You didn’t have to come all this way to bail me out. I could have called Jazz or Sam.”
“Nonsense, it’s good to get out of Wisconsin.”
Steph wrinkled her nose, Wisconsin? The pair continued out of ear shot and shortly out of the station.
When Bruce was released a few minutes later, Stephanie smiled and took great joy in his obvious (to any member of his family) despair and exasperation at seeing her.

Gossip in town
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steve Harrington x fem!reader
Summary: You and Steve love a good gossip. There's some joy in talking about other people's misery to distract from yourself from your own miserable dating life, right? Besides, that's what friends do. Right? 'Cause that's what you are. Friends.
CW/Disclaimer: Uhhhh some s m u t. Other than that just romance, banter, cute shit. Maybe the cute shit deserves a warning too.
Author's note: We love to say that Steve enjoys to gossip, so I figured I'd drabble something out. Turned a little longer than planned!
Words: 4983
Tumblr media
“You need to make him stop coming in here, he’s ruining our brand!”
As you heard Romaine, your colleague, complain, a smile plays on your lips. That could only mean one person.
Steve.
Romaine glared at him from behind the table she was folding clothes at and he raised his brow with little interest. His sailor outfit was a stark contrast to the high-end fashion you sold in the store you worked at and you thought it was the funniest thing ever. The first week, Steve had been too embarrassed to even leave the ice cream parlor. By now, he couldn’t give two fucks. And knowing Romaine hated it only made him come by twice as often.
“Y/N, Y/N!”
His impatient calls made you giggle and you revealed yourself from around the corner to put yourself into his field of vision. He gave a nod of recognition and then started to approach you with big steps.
“I’m taking my break,” Romaine announced, in an attempt to keep you from going anywhere. One person always needed to be in the store, and it was just you two that day. Steve knew about this rule by now, so he rolled his eyes, grabbed your wrist and pulled you towards the fitting rooms.
“Still technically in the store,” he mumbled, flashing you a grin as he took note that none of the fitting rooms were being used. With one smooth move, he pulled back a curtain, nudged you inside, followed and closed the curtain again behind him. He was a little out of breath, either from excitement or because he fucking jogged to your side of the mall. Must have been a sight for sore eyes.
“You were fucking right,” he hissed, not wasting a second as he spilled the tea. You covered your mouth to prevent a gasp and he pulled your hand away as he nodded. He needed not to tell you what, or who it was about. It had been the main topic of your latest gossip, so it was obvious he was talking about Ben Swimmer, one of his old classmates. Steve rested his palm flat on the wall behind you, kind of locking you into the corner of the fitting room.
“Yes, yes keep that mouth open, cause there’s more.”
His excitement was mixed with disgust, given by his expression. His fingers tapped a rhythm on the wall. You swallowed. Not sure if that had to do with the story at all, as you looked up at him.
“No… What is it?!” you asked impatiently. Steve smirked, loving to keep you on edge, and leaned a little closer because that’s what you do when you gossip.
“He wasn’t just cheating on Tessa with Vivian, but also with Brenda…”
“No…” you whispered, giving him a look of disbelief, mouth in fact still agape. Steve cocked his hip to the other side and nodded several times in a quick motion.
“Oh yes. He came into Scoops with her just now, in broad fucking daylight. And guess who also popped up at the mall?”
“Tessa. Of fucking course.”
Steve nodded.
“Tessa. So they’re sitting there eating their ice cream with two spoons, all gooey and sickeningly adorable if he hadn’t been a dick… when Ben sees Tessa, but she hasn’t seen him yet. So I’m watching, right, and suddenly Ben looks at me and tells me to let him go out the back with Brenda.”
“Oh now he wants to talk to you. Dick.”
Steve clapped his thigh with his free hand and made a gesture.
“Right?! So I said that was against company policy and that I unfortunately couldn’t help him. And then I walked forward and accidentally knocked a chair over,” he grinned as he replayed it in his head, “gathered a bit of attention, so weird,” his eyes widened as he spoke, “Tessa’s attention too. You should’ve seen it. I wish you could’ve seen it.”
His sigh filled the small space as he leaned his head back against the thin wall of the fitting room. He knitted his brows together and dropped his hand from the wall to your shoulder, closing his eyes momentarily as he let his brain catch up with his mouth. He seemed a little lost in thought, with his hand gently massaging your shoulder and his chin tipped up towards the ceiling. He didn’t move his head as he looked down at you and you wondered if he had any idea what he looked like right now. Somehow all the adorable-ness his outfit gave him was taken away and replaced for something else by just that one glance along the bridge of his nose.
“Was she mad?” you asked.
“Oh, she was seething. Shouted all sorts of shit at him. I had a lot of cleaning to do after she threw her milkshake in his face, but it was worth it. According to Ben I’m dead by the way. So now you know who to name as a prime suspect, should I ever disappear.”
“He better not.”
Steve shrugged.
“Would be worth it.”
The bell above the door of Family Video clanged as you rushed in. Robin lifted her head but was clearly still counting some tapes in her head as she gave you a vague greeting and immediately focused back on her task at hand. Steve on the other hand, immediately poked his head above an aisle and approached you even before you could reach the counter.
“Jake’s gonna ask Trisha to marry him after graduation.”
You gasped and immediately punched his chest, causing him to “oomph” and giving you a look of disbelief. Before he could ask why you punched him, you gave him the answer.
“I came all the way here to tell you that! How’d you even find out?!”
Steve grinned and grabbed the hand you punched him with as he noticed you were subconsciously rubbing your fingers over your knuckles.
“Overheard Brenda and Kate talk about it here earlier,” he said with a nod towards the romcom aisle.
“Ugh,” you groaned, “for once I thought I would have something good to tell you…”
Your pout deepened as you crossed your arms, shaking off his touch. Steve simply replaced it by putting his hand on top of your folded arms, his fingers walking a path from your elbow towards your wrist.
“You did! I just knew it already,” Steve said with a chuckle. He watched you pout for a little longer as his fingers played with the hair tie on your wrist absentmindedly. You were too focused to keep up the play that you didn’t notice his hesitation.
“Hey, wanna watch a movie tonight?”
Just then, as if on cue, Robin poked her head above the horror aisle.
“Yes!”
Steve glanced backwards and smiled softly at Robin, though as he nodded his expression looked a little off. He was chewing on the inside of his cheek until he saw you nod and released some of the tension he was subconsciously holding.
“Yeah let’s. Which movie?”
Steve shrugged. He hadn’t really thought of that. By now he had watched too many to count and there were only so many times you could watch the same movie in a week. He picked up the hair tie between his fingers and let it snap back on your wrist as he bit back a smile. You glared at him playfully, looking for something you could do in return. For a moment, he watched you in stunned silence as you brought your hand up to his neck, trailing your fingers through until you reached the back and yanked at it. Steve gasped and grabbed your hand, twisting you around until he had both your hands behind your back, his chin tucked into your shoulder.
“Caught you.”
As you relaxed in his arms, his breath tickled your neck. Somehow, neither of you had noticed Robin rounding the aisle and as she stopped in front of you, an impatient huff left her lips.
“Well? What movie, guys?” Steve froze around you for a moment and you slowly felt his grip loosening until he stepped aside to check out some of the movies they had.
“Uh…”
You held onto your own arms, realizing your cheeks were heating up and you took a quick few steps towards the door.
“I’ll let it be a surprise, see you tonight! Your place, I assume?” you asked Steve without looking at him.
“Yeah, sure.”
You left and Steve busied himself browsing through the movies with his fingers without remembering any of them.
“You seemed disappointed when I joined movie night.”
Steve gave her a harmless glare.
“Huh? No I wasn’t.”
Robin gave him an empathic smile.
“If you say so.”
Steve shook his head with a laugh.
“We’re just friends, Rob. It’s not like that.”
3 years later
It was a Saturday night and you sat on the couch in Steve’s apartment, where you spent so much time you should honestly start paying rent. Not to mention all the products that you had in his bathroom, and the spare set of clothes in his closet. It was a little much, but your home was cramped, and it had been hard to find a place of your own that you could actually afford.
Steve had found a part time job as a basketball coach and filled the rest of his time either with you, Robin, the kids or his failed dates.
But mostly you.
“Do we really have to watch this romantic piece of bullshit?” Steve groaned, flipping over the tape in his hand. It looked small when he held it, somehow.
“Hey now,” you shushed him, “just because Jillian didn’t let you get into her pants doesn’t mean romance is a no go now. Besides, it’s my day to pick.”
You got up to put the tape in and when you sat back, his arm was already waiting for you. His blunt fingernails teased your shoulder as you settled against him.
“She would’ve let me, I was so sure of it. But after she came back from the bathroom she suddenly acted so fucking weird…” Steve mumbled as he thought back on it.
“Maybe she suddenly got her period?” you opted. That surely was something that could make you want to flee out of nowhere. Steve rolled his eyes.
“So? There are pads and tampons,” Steve sighed. They were yours, or so Steve had said when you had asked why there were pads and tampons in a little basket in his bathroom. So you didn’t have to bring your own all the time, had been his reasoning. It was sweet.
“Yeah, well, I don’t know.” “Or maybe she thought you had a girlfriend you were cheating on,” you offered gently. Steve groaned and leaned his head all the way back on the headrest.
“Robin said the same. But if I had had a female roommate no one would bat an eye, so what’s the big deal you’ve got some of your stuff in here?”
“Well, because you don’t have a roommate, I guess?” you suggested with a shrug. His fingers lay flat on your shoulder now, giving it a light squeeze on occasion as he was thinking.
“Whatever. I don’t want a girl that can’t communicate anyway. Like, remember that whole ordeal with Nigel and Yessica? All that drama when it could’ve been solved if they had just asked each other rather than leaving it up to the town’s gossip?”
“Yeah, well… at least it gives us something to discuss.”
Steve nodded, but it seemed that he already was too lost in his own thoughts.
“I want someone who’s straight forward. Honest but kind. Funny. Warm. Also witty, sarcastic… just someone I can spend all day with without being bored. Where I can fully be myself without worrying about anything,” Steve mumbled.
“They’re out there, Steve, I’m sure of it.”
He glanced at you, face a little too close for comfort.
“What about you, then? When was the last time you dated?”
“Uh… Rick.”
Steve scowled.
“Rick.”
“He was fine.”
He rolled his eyes.
“Oh please. If you told me he had bodies buried in his garden I’d believe you.”
This time you rolled your eyes, sitting up a little so he had to remove his arm.
“Yeah, of course you would, because you hated him for no fucking reason.”
Steve’s lips thinned a little but he gave you your space. Leaned back a little, though he kept his thigh against yours.
“I had many valid reasons. For one: He sucks.”
You laughed dryly and shook your head.
“That’s an opinion, not a reason. You basically chased him away.”
“For the better! You know I’m right.”
“If it were up to you, none of the guys are a good fit for me.”
Steve watched as you got up from the couch to grab a beer and wordlessly asked for one too. You sat down on the far end of the couch, away from Steve. He took a sip without removing his gaze from you and lifted one leg on the couch so he could turn to face you.
“Because they’re not.”
“So it’s me.”
Steve frowned and shook his head. Somehow he had shifted closer on the couch without you noticing. His knee touched your thigh.
“What? No. It’s all of them.”
“My standards are just too high, I guess.”
Steve shook his head, his hand finding your knee.
“Shut up, they’re not. You deserve someone who actually appreciates you. All of you.”
A silent implication there, considering he knew all about your dating life. After Rick, you hadn’t even bothered. You dated them only to numb the pain of listening to Steve’s date stories. And since for some reason Robin refused to listen to them, you were the designated person to tell.
Thanks, Robin.
“Yeah, well, so do you.”
He gazed into your eyes, his face so much closer than you had anticipated when his finger lifted your chin gently.
“I appreciate all of you,” he said softly. You watched him silently as you connected the dots of his earlier spoken words to his current ones. His thumb caressed your cheek as he chewed on the inside of his cheek.
“You’re… we’re friends,” you said softly, too scared to trust what his words implied.
“Can’t we be more?” Steve asked, his voice soft as silk.
“Can we?” you whispered.
Steve nodded, his gaze dropping to your lips as he leaned in closer.
“Yeah.”
He cupped your jaw a little stronger as he kissed you, as if he was scared you’d slip from his fingers the moment his lips brushed yours. You leaned forward, his hand resting on his chest. He let out a sweet sound when your fingers happened to brush his nipple and you used that leverage to swing your leg over his lap. His hands found your waist easily as he teared away his lips from yours to explore your neck.
“Ah, Steve,” you whispered, encouraging him to continue. You let your hands roam over his chest until that wasn’t enough and you let them dip under the hem of his shirt. He broke his attack on your neck to look at you hungrily as he lifted his arms above his head to take off his shirt, followed by a hesitant brush of his fingers along yours. With a nod, you gave him the permission to take it off and the look of appreciation at the sight made you feel warm inside. His hands found your waist again as he buried his face in your chest, licking the crevice of your boobs all the way up to your neck.
You felt how hard he was when you shifted your lips and a groan left him.
“Steve… when you said, more, what did you mean?” you asked softly.
Steve leaned back to look at you, eyes searching your face with urgency.
“I— Like, everything? Sorry— Did I… is it too much? Am I too much?” he rambled, a sudden nervosity taking over his system as his hands dropped from your body.
“No! No, Steve, you’re never too much, silly,” you told him quickly, smoothing out the frown in his forehead with your thumb. “I just wanted to make sure this isn’t like a… friends with benefits thing, for you,” you grunted out, cheeks heating up.
Steve let out a relieved sigh and his hands found your waist again, gently digging into your pliant skin.
“I’ve been your friend with benefits for all I can remember. Your kindness, sarcasm, wit, humor, honesty… all of that and more I have benefitted from for the longest time. I just… I’d want, like, to be your boyfriend with benefits. To have it all but to have all of you as well. Want you to be mine, Y/N. Mine only,” he told you sincerely. His eyes slowly turned a little mischievous as your smile relaxed and he moved his hands up to squeeze your boobs as he bit down on his bottom lip with a smile.
“And if that means I also get to, kiss you and stuff, all the better,” he said with a cheeky grin.
“And stuff, huh?” you mumbled affectionately, your thumbs finding his nipples to rub slow circles. Steve’s eyes rolled back and he nodded as he bit back a groan.
“Uh-huh,” he sighed, “god, keep doing that.” A beat. “Please.”
You smirked and rolled your hips slowly against his.
“So polite,” you murmured as your lips found his neck.
“I - ah - would like to say I was raised that way but I guess I’ve just always had it in me,” he said with a chuckle while his hands toyed with the sweatpants resting on your hips still. You laughed softly and hummed in agreement.
“It’s a little too hot for these sweats, don’t you agree?” he asked then, a finger teasing along the waistband.
“Yours too.”
“Can I keep my socks on?”
You leaned back and gave him a glare as he burst out laughing.
“See?! Rick was not fine at all.”
“Shut up. What about Layla with her “call them mommy milkers” spiel?”
Steve bit his lip with a smile.
“That never happened, actually. Tried to make you jealous and failed.”
“You thought that would make me jealous? It just made me reconsider my crush on you.”
“Ouch?”
“Just not big on the whole mommy thing.”
“Yeah, well, me neither.”
Steve kissed your collar bone and let his hands slide down your back to grab two handfuls of your ass. You let out a sweet noise, edging him on.
“Back to point one…”
“Back to Rick with his Star Wars socks during sex…”
He pushed you against him, rolling his hips just in time. Not even Rick with his socks on could ruin this feeling for you. Steve moaned softly into your neck as he found just the right angle for the best amount of friction.
“He came within a minute.”
“Assumed as much. Could tell you were lying your tits off when you said it was somewhere between two and five minutes. As if anyone times that.”
“You said you could last fifteen.”
“Cause I can!”
“So you timed it,” you told him dryly.
Steve rolled his eyes and pushed down your sweats, making you get up to take them off so he could do the same.
“I can last as long as you need,” he promised you, “and look, my socks are off.”
“Still wearing too much clothes,” you mumbled as you snapped the waistband of his boxers. Steve laughed and turned you around so your back was facing the couch. His lips traveled down your chest as he unclasped your bra with one hand, not wasting a second to circle his tongue around one of your nipples as his fingers squeezed the other not too gently, eliciting a yelp from you. You yanked at his hair and he laughed breathily around your nipple.
“Like it when you do that,” he admitted. “Nearly had me chub up when you did it that one time.”
He didn’t need to tell you which time. It had been the one and only time you both had let it come a little too close for comfort. At least, too close to keep up the pretense that you weren’t into each other.
“Could tell. Your cheeks turned pink.”
Steve’s lips explored your stomach while his hands squeezed and fondled your curves. He hooked his fingers around your underwear and easily pulled them down while his lips followed the fabric until there was nothing covering your pussy. He barely let you step out of them before he pushed you down on the couch and lifted your legs over his shoulders. He took his sweet time kissing up your thighs, though you could feel through the tremble of his fingers that he was as impatient and nervous as you were. You had been watching him worship your thighs with his eyes closed, but the moment his lips wrapped around your clit he gazed up at you through his lashes.
“Steve…”
He grinned against your skin and slowly licked a stripe along your swollen lips, gathering juices to slicken up your clit with. Your hand was back in his hair before you knew it, his head bobbing as he started to eat you out hungrily. Noisily. Hands digging into the plush of your thighs as he opened them wider for better access. That fucker knew he was good at this.
Your hips bucked up to grind against him in tune with your moans and he strengthened his grip to keep in control of the pace, which he then brutally slowed down. You were about to complain when suddenly he went to town on you at full speed, his nose hitting your clit just right. The grip on his hair was none too gentle and you felt his warm moans vibrating against you. His tongue lapped at you impatiently, eyes focused on your flushed expression. He relished in the feeling of your thighs tightening around his face when you came all over his tongue.
He bullied your clit a little longer, smirking against your thigh before kissing it as you pinched his cheek to stop him. When he got back on his feet, you noticed his boxers had disappeared without you noticing. His cock was hard, the head slick from precome.
Wordlessly, you shifted on the couch and grasped his thighs to pull him close. He cupped your cheek, unable to hold back a moan as you wrapped your lips around the head and sucked none too gently. Soon enough, his hand was holding your hair in a makeshift ponytail despite letting you decide on the pace. You loved taking control. When you looked up as you bobbed your head noisily, he threw his head back with a groan. He needed to look away if he wanted this to last longer than a goddamn minute. You smirked around his cock and picked up the pace, relentlessly taking more and more of his length until your nose brushed the coarse hair above his base.
“Jesus Christ, Y/N…”
He couldn’t help himself, his grip tightened on your hair and you felt him quickly thrust his hips. You let him and absently realized this was the first time you enjoyed the salty taste of his come in the back of your throat. He broke it off halfway, giving your cheek a sweet caress before turning around to grab a condom that he apparently stored in the drawer of the coffee table. You impatiently slapped his ass, making him yelp and accidentally tearing the first condom.
“Menace, that was a perfectly fine condom,” he complained with his back to you, and you could tell he was smiling. You shrugged and leaned forward giving the spot you slapped a kiss instead. And then a nibble.
“Your ass looks biteable, y’know that?” you mumbled, kneading his ass with a longing sigh as you remembered all the times his ass had looked so good in his jeans.
Steve laughed.
“Yeah, well, so does yours.”
He turned around, condom wrapped and ready, though Steve seemed to hesitate.
“Second thoughts?” you asked, unable to filter your worries.
Steve scoffed and shook his head.
“Of course not, silly. I just— Come on.”
He grabbed your hand to pull you up and started guiding you to the bedroom.
“Want you to be comfortable,” he explained, and if that didn’t make you melt…
He propped up some pillows just perfectly and made sure you were comfortable before he positioned himself above you.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said softly, leaning down to kiss the part of your body that covered the heart that carried so much love for him. His hand slipped between you two, playing with you some more so he was certain you’d feel good once he’d go inside. He kissed you deeply, slowly, really taking his time compared to your first kiss. You both loved kissing. It was one of the many things you had shared complaints about when your dates weren’t into it as much. You had lost count how many times you had mentioned you could kiss for hours, secretly thinking of the other person.
Steve gazed into your eyes as he pushed inside slowly, his breath hitching as the sensations overtook his body. He moved without a rush, relishing being able to watch your expression as he fucked into you. His moans escaped from his lips whenever your lips weren’t against his to silence them. His tongue darted out to lick your ear and a gasp left you as he moved down and bit your neck. Your nails scratched his back as his thrusts became harder, your moans no longer contained by the press of your lips. You wrapped your legs around his hips, allowing him to fuck deeper. Sweat dripped from his forehead, mixing with yours as droplets found a way into your hairline.
“Y/N… baby, fuck…”
Slow, hard thrusts helped him ride out his orgasm while his hand flicking over your clit got you clenching around his cock until you knocked over the edge. The muscles in his arms were shaking as he kept himself from collapsing on top of you, so you poked his side to make him collapse anyway.
“Oof,” you groaned, followed by a laugh.
“I was trying not to crush you,” Steve mumbled into your neck, humming pleasantly as he inhaled your shampoo.
“Maybe I wanted you to crush me. Needed some pain to know if this was all real.”
“Sure hope it’s real. Never came this hard.”
You snorted.
“It didn’t take fifteen minutes, though,” you told him, even though you had no idea.
“I told you I’d last as long as you needed me and uh, by the way you tried to clench my dick off I think I did just fine,” he responded cockily through a giggle.
“Touché,” you mumbled.
“Mmmm.”
Steve gave you a kiss, slowly, sweetly. He rested his head next to yours, slowly moving his body off of you in favor to pull your leg over his waist as he cuddled you close.
“Would it be too soon to tell you that I love you?” Steve asked, looking at you with what you could only describe as love in his eyes.
“Normally that’s a definite red flag, even you said so,” you said teasingly as you combed your fingers through his damp chest hair. “But if I said I love you too, then that would make two red flags, and two negatives is a positive, right?”
Steve shrugged, a smile spreading on his face.
“I’m sure there’s an argument against that, but I was never good at math anyway.”
“Me neither.”
Steve smiled and put his hand on top of yours.
“I love you.”
You leaned in for a soft kiss.
“I love you too.”
He watched you quietly, content and happy. At least, until a frown formed on his forehead and he cursed softly.
“What is it?”
“I lost the bet.”
You pushed lightly against his chest.
“This better not be one of those movie plots where you pretend to fall in love with someone for a bet and then supposedly actually fall for them and shit,” you tell him with narrowed eyes, although you knew Steve would never do that.
Steve laughed and shook his head.
“Nah, Robin bet me that I’d sleep with you the moment we’d confess our feelings to each other, and yes I say each other because she was convinced you liked me too and I did not believe her. So I said bet, because I thought this,” he said as he gestured between you both, “was never gonna happen. So… yeah. Well. No regrets, though, obviously,” he mumbled, stealing another kiss.
“What did you bet for?”
“Taking her shift every Saturday, even if that means a double shift for me,” Steve groaned, “and you know what she said? She said: ‘It will be for the better, because I know you two. I don’t wanna be around when you fuck like rabbits in the adult section.’ as if we’d ever—”
You gave him a look.
“Okay, she was probably right but still! Ruthless, that one.”
“She’s gonna be soooo smug…” you mumbled.
“Yeah, it’s gonna be hell.”
“I’ll just ravish you on a random Tuesday to torment her,” you shrugged and Steve laughed.
“I like the sound of that.”
“Thought you would.”
His hand wandered over your thigh and he smirked slowly.
“Wanna take a shower? There’s a girl who left basically all her toiletries here so I’m sure there’s something you can use.”
“How convenient.”
“Very.”
Steve’s gaze was absolutely smitten, and you were pretty sure your expression matched his perfectly.

Tumblr media
in which hugh humbles the internet by addressing false rumors
warnings: none, just fluff!
so my dumbass has no self control and i did unfortunately change the plot a little BUT i am planning to write a 2nd imagine on this same plot but differently! hope yall still like it
since working on the x-men movies with hugh, you two have been together ever since. happily, that is.
however somehow, from somewhere, rumors began to circulate that the two of you had broken up after your 23 years together.
and of course, you and hugh took these rumors to the press.
“so we’re aware that the two of you have worked together since the first x-men movie,” the host asks, earning a collection of nods from the two of you. “would you want to go into detail about how you guys began to date and just what the story was behind that?”
“yeah of course,” you began, hugh cutting you off.
he looked directly at the camera now rather than the host, pointing his finger at it in a silly manner, “and as far as i know, we are still together.”
the room erupts into laughter, most of it coming from you as you grab hugh’s other hand, intertwining your fingers in your lap. “yeah, oh my god i don’t know where it came from but for some reason all of twitter and tiktok and whatever else there is thinks we’ve broken up!”
the host smiles, “i saw that, in fact that was actually my next question on my list.”
“so you chose to ask the allegedly broken up couple about how they met and began dating before you ask them if they’re still together?” you joke, causing everyone to laugh once more.
though everyone was focused on your joke, the only thing you could focus on was hugh’s thumb rubbing up and down the back of your hand subconsciously. it was sweet, almost as if he did it without realizing.
“yeah.. yeah i love her so.. we’re not splitting until one of us dies.”
“hugh!” you smack his leg, brows furrowed close to your eyes in a warning manner.
he cocks his head as his eyes go wide, smiling brightly at your concern, “what?!”
“don’t talk about either of us dying, i don’t like that!”
his smile only grows as he chuckles at your rather unreasonable behavior, “alright i’m sorry.”
the host makes eye contact with the camera just as hugh had, “yeah i don’t think they’re breaking up anytime soon, look at them!”
the camera pans to zoom in on you and hugh; you’re still scolding him about how you don’t need to worry about splitting up when you’re perfectly fine while he’s trying to defend himself but is laughing too hard.
“i said im sorry!” he managed to get out, going weak as he brought his head down to your lap, trying to contain his laughter.
you smack the backside of his head gently, leaning to rest on the armrest of your chair as you roll your eyes, “and you’re not even taking me seriously, baby.”
“and they’re still holding hands,” the camera man points out from behind the scenes.
i guess it’s safe to say those rumors shut down, fast.
I HATE THIS WTF i’m sorry the end is so bad

Broken Bones
pairing: george russell x reader
summary: George gets in a wreck and you happen to be the surgeon on-call.
a/n: i loved this prompt, i hope you love it ❤️
masterlist
————————
George was enjoying his home race, he was holding P3 with a comfortable lead due to some great defending earlier in the race. Unfortunately for him, mother nature decided to put her hand into the race and have a pop up rain shower come through.
“It should clear through shortly, let’s keep with the softs,” his engineer says, hoping to outsmart those pitting for inters. George says a quick response and continues focusing on the track, especially the dry line. With the rain pouring, he catches a wet line in turn 4, sending the car spinning and into a barrier.
You rush down a couple floors to where you have been paged. Being the only orthopedic trauma surgeon in the hospital and on-call, you have to make haste.
“Is there really no one else to take this?” you ask, looking at the chart that has initial images and the patient information.
“Big fan?” the nurse beside you asks as you mentally plan the procedure. Most of Britain is basically a fan of the racing driver.
“Yeah. It’s not ethical, but I took an oath,” you tightly smile, beginning the process of scrubbing in.
“You are a great surgeon, you will have no problem keeping the fan part of you out of your mind,” the nurse reassures you. You take a couple deep breaths before heading to surgery.
The procedure goes well, you repair the broken wrist and fix the damage as best you can. Of course, time will finish healing it, but you do your best.
Afterwards you scrub out, finish paperwork, and go home. You won’t need to check in until anesthesia wears off, and that can take a while. You return later in the day, dressed in business casual and your lab coat.
“Mr. Russell, how are you feeling?” you ask, needing to check on your work. You close the door behind you when you enter the room.
“You are so pretty,” George says, still a little out of it.
“Thank you. Mind if I check your arm?” you ignore your blush.
“You look like my wife. She’s a doctor too, soooo pretty,” George babbles.
“I know, love, let me see your arm,” you say gently, sitting beside him.
“What happened?” George asks with a confused look.
“You spun out and crashed into a barrier. It was raining, you were on slicks, and caught a wet line,” you explain, carefully examining the surgical site, removing the splint immobilizing the wrist.
“I know that much. Injuries?” he asks, eyes trained on your wound examination.
“Broken wrist. We are going to brace it rather than cast it,” you check his chart for other injuries noted.
“Thank you for taking such good care of me, I love you,” George says, moving his non-injured hand to grab yours.
“I love you too, Georgie,” you whisper, rubbing your thumb over his hand as he processes everything. You note things in his chart, making sure your observations and updates are written down.
“I’m glad you did my surgery, I wouldn’t trust anyone else,” he smiles, you can’t help but smile back. It’s not illegal, but it certainly is borderline unethical to treat your husband.
“I’m happy to hear that. Why don’t I go and see if your family is out in the waiting room?you hum, needing to stay inconspicuous. Of course, those close to you know who your husband is, but since you don’t share his last name it isn’t obvious.
“One kiss before you leave,” George pouts and you hesitate. “Please, I was just in a crash and your kisses make me feel better,” he pouts. You playfully roll your eyes and lean in, giving him a quick kiss.
“I love you, I’ll be right back,” you reassure him. You find his family and Toto waiting outside in the waiting room.
“Family of Mr. Russell,” you say, calling them to you.
“Y/n, dear, did you do his surgery?” George’s mom asks, a little hopeful.
“I did, I was the only one here and on call. Thankfully nothing too major, he can probably get back into a car in a month if we rehab him correctly. Want to see him?” you ask, knowing the answer. You lead them to his room, but stop Toto before he walks in.
“Y/n-“ Toto starts but you don’t hesitate to cut him off.
“You got very lucky that the broken wrist was the worst of it. Keeping him out on slicks? Are you stupid, a win is not worth more than a life,” you fume.
“I know, I gave his engineers and strategists a talking to. I just wanted to check in on him, but knowing he is in your care is all I needed. I check in tomorrow then,” Toto stays calm, knowing you had to since George was brought in and you needed to yell at someone.
“I, um, thank you. He should only be here another day for observation. I’ll keep you updated,” you recompose yourself and watch as Toto leaves.
“She’s just the best doctor ever. So pretty too, and smart, and really good at surgery,” you overhear George tell his parents, he likely just got another dose of pain meds.
“Thank you, Georgie. You are a pretty good patient,” you smile from the doorway.
“Can you believe that doctor loves me? And she married me?” George asks his mom who laughs.
“You chose a wonderful wife. Why don’t you let her get back to work?” his mom asks, catching your amused gaze.
“Yes, I have another surgery scheduled. I will check on you in a few hours,” you walk over to your husband, giving him a quick kiss.
“I love you so much, I want to have babies with you,” George blurts, causing your face to flame bright red.
“Okay, let’s talk about that later,” you awkwardly say, stepping out of the room.
You are quick to return after your scheduled surgery. You know the nurses rotations and know that they won’t check in for another hour.
“There’s my beautiful wife,” George grins as you walk in. “You look so sexy post-surgery,” he eyes you up.
“Really? I don’t feel like it,” you slide onto the bed beside him, careful to avoid hurting him. You relax in silence for a minute before you address the feeling eating at the pit of your stomach. “Please try not to crash again. I know it’s unavoidable, but the feeling I got when I saw your name and didn’t know how serious the crash was. It… I don’t think I can describe the panic,” you take a deep breath, closing your eyes and focusing on the sound of his heartbeat under you. The cool hospital air is a stark contrast to his warmth.
“I’m sorry, it’s the one part of racing I hate too,” George is unsure how to respond. He looks at the blank hospital wall, as if it’ll give him the answer. “I’ll always come home to you, and I have a badass surgeon to take care of me,” he laughs a little, trying to lighten the mood.
“I can only do so much, like brain surgery? You are on your own,” you grin, happy to let the vibe change.
“You could do it, you can do anything,” George says, he always gets gushy when he’s tired.
“Okay, baby, you should get some sleep. I’ll go home and get you clothes. I will be back tomorrow morning to check on you,” you yawn, also needing sleep. George knows you can’t stay in the room too long, and he wouldn’t want you to stay up in an uncomfortable chair.
“I love you. Drive safe,” he mumbles, tiredness washing over him in waves. You fix his sheets and make sure he is okay before kissing him goodnight and leaving. It feels weird, to go home and not have him there. You burn the rest of your anxious energy by reaching out to some good physical therapists that you know to help with George’s recovery.
Under your watchful eye, he makes a recovery similar to Lance’s, even with you fussing the first few races post-injury. You framed one of his x-rays. George had to listen to you talk about how beautiful it was, you claimed it to be your best work. It allows for a good story when having friends over, and it reminds George to not let it happen again.

A Raw Deal
To a normal person one of the fae might appear human. In fact it is nearly impossible to tell the two apart. The only difference is the fae are always extremely hot. One of the most important rules of dealing with the fae is never make a deal. Unfortunately, Brian had no idea Nick was anything but a young vendor at the music festival.
All the food looked so good to Brian and he was so hungry, too bad he realized he was flat broke once he reached the front of the line. He looked up from his empty wallet at Nick to apologize and completely froze. Brian had always been completely straight but even he could admit Nick was one of the most attractive men he had ever seen with completely chiseled features, perfect lean muscles that complemented his narrow waist and thick upper thighs spread out in his seat. Nick smirked “Hey dude, you good?”
Tumblr media
“Oh yeah sorry I’m flat broke my bad I’ll step out of line.”
Brian was so flustered he completely missed the predatory gleam in Nick’s eyes. “Bro don’t even worry about it, I’ll make you a deal help me out in the back for a couple hours and lunch is on me.”
“Wow really, thanks!”
“Of course! The only rule is you can’t eat until we’re done or it’ll mess up my inventory count.”
Brian was so hungry but he knew he could struggle through a couple hours for a free lunch, so he nodded and followed Nick into the tent behind the counter.
The moment Brian entered the tent he felt his stomach cramp up, the most delicious smells of pies, cookies, and sandwiches were coming at him from every angle.
“So, I really just need you to stay here for the next two hours and make sure nobody sneaks back here and eats anything.”
Brian could only shake his head in agreement and watch as Nick walked away admiring his full ass move as he did. He rubbed his eyes trying to snap himself out of it. Brian had never so much as looked at a man in his entire life but maybe the hunger and partying from the past couple days was getting to him.
Not to mention Brian was a little sex-starved. It wasn’t that he was unattractive. Some would definitely think he was cute but it was always in a twinky nerd way. He looked nothing like Nick who was already occupying more space in his mind than another man should.
The first hour wasn’t easy, but Brian just tried to ignore the food around him and relax. He didn’t notice Nick peek through the entrance. Nick was starting to wonder if Brian would make it the full time and decided he needed to turn up the challenge. Nick walked back into the tent holding a large pizza. “Hey, this came a little early its for after you’re done working but it might be a little cold by then.”
Nick shrugged and walked back out. Brian sweated it out for a few minutes before finally stuffing his face with the pizza. It only took a few bites before Brian could tell something was wrong. First he felt a burning sensation on his arm, then in big letters NICK was written in black on his arm. He found himself frozen unable to move at all.
Brian stood there unable to move for the next few hours until it got late. Then Nick walked in with a wicked smile across his face. “Hello Brian, so it looks like you couldn’t wait to eat. Unfortunately, that means you are now my servant.”
Nick snapped his fingers and Brian found myself able to speak but my feet were still planted to the ground.
“WHAT. I don’t understand I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself.”
“Brian, it’s quite alright. These things happen you’ll come home with me and the details of your contract will be provided shortly.”
Nick walked forward to Brian wrapping his muscular arms around his waist. Nick brushed under Brians chin forcing them to make eye contact. Nick leaned in their lips brushing against each other. “We are going to have fun together.”
Brian woke up in a large bed sore and confused. As he looked around his eyes landed on a man. He was an attractive guy, large boulder shoulders and beefy pecs that shadowed over him.
Tumblr media
“You’re up,” the man walked over to him.
“My name is Jock how do you feel?”
Brian shook his head confused, “your name is Jock.”
“I don’t think it was always Jock but that’s what master said it is now.”
It was then Brian glanced down at his arm to the letters NICK and remembered what happened. Jock went on to explain that Nick was a fae and had tricked the both of them into becoming his slaves. They were now magically forced to do anything Nick asked.
“Really anything master wants you’ll do, become, or believe,” Jock sat down on the bed. “I didn’t always look like this but this is what master wanted for when he has fun with me”
Brian was in disbelief at what a quick turn his life had taken. “So what can I do? I’m not gay and I don’t want to be owned.”
Jock shook his head “There really isn’t anything you can do, my only advice, Master offers everyone the same deal…take it.”
Tumblr media
It was then the door swung open. Nick walked in to the bedroom shirtless, his tight muscles reminding Brian of some predatory cat. “Jock thank you for watching our new guest, you can go.”
Like that Jock was gone. Now it was just Brain and Nick.
“So Brian I trust Jock filled you in. Now its time to make you more suited for my home. First I value fitness so grow your muscles for me.”
Brian hardly had a chance to be confused before he felt his stomach ache and looked down to see a set of cobbled defined abs. He suddenly felt much wider as his shoulders and back spread. His pecs began to balloon and his biceps thickened.
Tumblr media
Nick smiled as he closed the distance between them. “Now you look tasty.”
Nick kissed Brian pushing him backward on the bed. Brian opened his mouth to say something but Nick cut him off “You will participate and try to please me.”
Brian quickly got the message and allowed his lips to part for Nick’s tongue. Brian tossed his own shirt on the floor. Internally he was screaming, I’m not gay, but he couldn’t help but try to make Nick happy.
Nick groped Brian’s new arms before cupping his face. “Now time for a few more things. First Brian doesn’t quite suite you anymore, I think from now on you’ll be Thad and you can forget it was ever anything else.”
Thad was confused. Wait wasn’t his name always Thad. Was that right?”
Nick interupted Thad’s thinking, ”The only thing is that name isn’t known for being intellegent so let’s dumb you down and make you a little more bro-y”
Thad felt a relaxing fog descend on him, he didn’t mind it. “Bruh that kinda feels sick.”
“Now just one last thing. I offer everyone this deal, now it’s your turn. You will live hear forever but if you agree to become gay I will make you happy to be here. Then you’ll have as much fun with our encounters as me. I could just make these changes myself, but honestly it’s no difference to me how you feel and the choice is more fun.”
Thad felt confused. A feeling he would probably have to get used to with his new intellect, but he needed to choose. Thad decided that if this was his new life he might as well enjoy it.
“Ok dude, do it.”
Thad felt it almost instantly. He was in the best place ever, and standing in front of him was the sexiest man he had ever seen. Thad almost lept forward, ripping Nicks pants off and began latching onto his cock. Nick gripped Thad’s new styled hair as his head bobbed up and down. Then Nick came. Nick chuckled Thad didn’t know it but the entire spell only would have lasted 24 hours then he could have gone home free, but now that he willingly drank Nick’s cum the spell was sealed forever.
Meanwhile Thad was in total bliss he was going to love being here with Nick and Jock.

please i need an alternate life path of dabi 😭😭
Honestly, it would be pretty bad :(
He sees his life as the hero his father wanted him to be. If he wasn’t a “failure”.
Dabi has conflicting feelings about it at first. Seeing himself as a hero left him a little in awe, but it’s also painful as fuck to see.
But then he sees his life behind the scenes. Natsuo and Shoto were never born. Fuyumi grew up extremely lonely since Touya was always training with Enji. Worst of all, Touya is acting just like Enji and going down an abusive/neglectful path with his own future family.
Dabi’s like “You know what?… I’m good.”
(I just don’t see him having any good outcomes being around Enji. Enji, himself, would have to be a completely different person).
ANOTHER PATH:
Rei leaves and takes the kids.
Touya still practices with his quirk, despite it burning him. No longer because he wants to be seen by his dad, but because he genuinely wants to be a hero on his own. (Maybe to spite him a little lol)
Rei is able to get him the proper physical/mental treatment that he needs, and works with top notch doctors/scientists to figure out ways for him to use his quirk without burning himself.
As technology advances, Touya eventually gets the help/equipment he needs to more safely use his quirk (not completely unscathed, but FAR better than it was). He joins the hero course and becomes a pro hero on his own.
(Unfortunately, while a nice outcome, this results in him unable to awaken his ice ability. So he’s always going to have some trouble with his quirk.)
Dabi is watching all of this and he’s almost emotionally destroyed until the next thing he sees…
Touya goes to visit Rei and she’s got company already. He sees Mr. Compress standing in Rei’s kitchen. Yeah that’s right I turned this into Compress x Rei gotcha you’ll never know when I’ll strike with StepDad!Compress
Dabi is like “Okay, I’m done seeing this shit.” and then as he walks away, he stops by Mr. Compress and is like “Stay away from my Mom.”
Mr. Compress is like “??????”

Mattheo Riddle x Reader
Inspired by @rilakeila's work
Summary: You are an animagus who can turn into a cat. But one morning, you wake up to an unpleasant surprise.
You were majorly screwed.
How were you supposed to go to classes like this?!
Seem like your private lessons with Professor McGonagall didn't pay off as well as you thought.
Now, here you were stuck with a pair of ears and a tail!
You must have tried to turn in your sleep and somehow got halfway stuck. That wouldn't be the issue. The issue was that no matter what you tried, you couldn't make them go away.
And your first class was with Snape... great.
No student knew about your abilities. Some professors knew but that's all.
You wanted to call in sick, pretending you were ill, but you also knew no one would believe you.
One last attempt you turned fully into a feline before turning back but the ears and tail were still there. You knew you had to go to class. You knew you couldn't reveal your secret.
You let out a sigh before grabbing your robe to hide your tail and a hat for your head. You thanked the winter at least it will be passable on the hallways, maybe not inside the class but you will deal with that later...
"Miss Y/L/N... I thought you were aware that it is rude to wear a hat inside my class."
Of course, Snape couldn't just let it pass, but you were a great actress.
"Of course, Professor, I got ill last night and I am shivering as it is, if you could allow me please to keep it on, I learned so much for today's test, I didn't want to miss it." Snape gave you a look but let it pass. Just this once.
After class when everyone left, you stayed behind.
"Professor, I do apologise for the hat."
"You are not sick." his voice was so monotone.
"No. I woke up this morning and..." you took off your hat and showed him your ears. "And I also have a tail..."
"I'll talk with Minerva. See if she can help, for now go to your next class." you smiled and turned to leave.
You always liked Snape. There was something about him, something behind his eyes, he was hiding his kindness and you saw that.
Your day went on quite well, pretending to be sick so you could keep your hat on. Professor McGonagall unfortunately, had no idea how to change you back, she said she will read some books and get back to you as soon as possible.
Later that day, you sat defeated in a hallway. It was rather quiet since no one really used that hallway.
You let out a long sigh before trying to return to your book.
"Here you are. I have been looking for you." came a voice and as you looked up, you saw Mattheo walking over to you. "Here." he handed you a small brown bag and you looked at him confused. "Take it, it's not going to explode!" Mattheo and you barely spoke before. He was a friend of yours, you would say.
You took the bag and opened it, only to find medicine in there.
"The lady at the store said these are the best for a cold." he explained as you looked back up at him. "You said during many classes today that you feel ill."
Was he worried about you?
"Thank you!" you yelled after him as he walked away. He raised one of his hands to wave goodbye.
You felt your heart swell.
You might have just developed a crush on Mattheo Riddle...
---
Two days later and you had the same issue.
The professors had no idea how to help you and every possibility you tried out failed.
Dumbledor decided to officially give you an exemption from classes for the time being. He respected your decision that you didn't want to share your secret with the students.
Everyone was told that you were sick.
You truly didn't like lying to others, especially your friends, but you were also not ready to share that you are an animagus.
There was a sudden knock on your door.
"O-One moment!" you yelled, getting into bed and covering your head with your hoodie. "Come in!"
It was Mattheo, the last person you expected.
"Hi." he said as he closed the door behind himself.
"Hello."
"How are you feeling?"
"Oh, I'm a little better thank you." you smiled as he looked around your room.
He noticed the books scattered around the place. Everything looked and smelled like you.
"What's this?" he said as he walked over to your table, finding the bag he gave you days ago. "Y-You didn't take the meds I gave you?"
"Um..." but you saw him rolling his eyes.
"Are you serious? I thought you were different from the others! You could have told me, I know I am the Dark Lord's son! But I am not like him!"
"What?" you asked, confused.
"For fucks sake! You didn't take these because you hate me just like the others right?!" he yelled before running towards the door but you were also fast. You grabbed his arm and turned him towards you. He was angry.
"I-that's not why. I don't hate you." you said but he rolled his eyes.
"You don't even look sick. Did you lie to the teachers?!" he asked as he looked at your face.
The hatred in his eyes made you scared. Scared that you will lose him.
"I didn't."
"What is going on here?"
"I can't tell you and please stop yelling."
"I yell if I want to Y/N! You made me worry for you that you were sick! I got you medicine and now two days later I find out that you didn't even take them! Is this because I'm a Riddle?! Why did you lie?!"
"I didn't... I can't tell you."
"Can't tell me?! Y/N, I thought you were better than that. I thought you could see beyond a last name, not like the others. Looks I was wrong." he moved to get to the door but you stood in his way, leaning against the door, not letting him out. "Move out of my way." but you shook your head, no. "MOVE!" he yelled louder than before and it really irritated your ears. You covered your face as you slid down against the door, tears running down your face.
"I don't hate you, please don't hate me." is what you said but he yelled again, this time it was your name. And just like that, you were gone.
Mattheo's eyes nearly fell out of his head as he now saw a cat where you were previously. The cat ran under the bed and Mattheo stood there, frozen.
His brain tried to function but he just couldn't move or think.
Took him a good minute before he knelt down on the floor and looked under the bed.
"Come out please." he said with such a soft voice, it even surprised him. He tried to reach under the bed but you moved away, out of his reach. "Come on, Y/N." but you didn't budge. He let out a sigh. "I don't hate you. I really don't. I was just angry, I'm sorry for yelling. I really like you, Y/N. So, my mind went into a spiral when I thought you hated me, but I get it now, please come out." but you didn't move.
Mattheo moved to sit on the bed, deciding to give you time and space.
You moved from under the bed. Getting out and looking at him as he kept on staring at the wall. You didn't turn back, deciding to stay as a feline for now.
You jumped up on the bed and this is when he noticed you. You sat with your tail moving around you, you were thinking as well.
"I didn't know you were an animagus. I guess no one else knows." you shook your head, no. "Do the professors know?" you nodded, yes. "Ah, makes sense. You are a really cute cat you know. You look very fluffy and... sorry." He tried to reach over possibly to pet you but stopped. Still sitting on the bed, you took a deep breath before turning back.
"Please don't tell the others. They would tease and bully me." you begged as you moved closer to him. "I didn't go to classes because I can't make my tail and ears disappear," you said pointing at your head. "I'm sorry for lying. I never expected you to buy me medicine." he nodded.
"I won't tell anyone."
"I really like you too, Mattheo. I felt really bad for lying, but you understand why I couldn't tell you." he nodded before he looked at you, smiling a little.
"Your eyes are also... um... cat-like?" you let out a long sigh.
"Professor McGonagall said it is normal for a young animagus to have certain characteristics like that. Eyes are normal but ears and tail... not so much."
"I think it's cute." he reached up, touching the ears on top of your head. "Would you purr if I scratched here?"
"No, I bite."
"You are not a nice kitty then." he smirked and you smiled.
"I don't plan on being one." you played along with him and it made him smile. "I am a very bad kitty especially when someone who isn't my boyfriend touches me."
"Oh, you have a boyfriend now?"
"I do."
"Lucky fella."
"Yeah, he brings me medicine when I'm sick but he is rather bothered by his last name."
"I'm not! People are." you smiled as you moved even closer to him, and he moved his arm around you. "I'll try and get you some notes from classes." his hand ran up and down your back, it found your tail as he flinched away a little but you moved it back to his hand.
"Next time, please don't yell at me. I hate it when people argue and my hearing is sensitive."
"Sorry, Darling." a comfortable silence filled the room. "I'm glad you are not sick at least. I was rather worried."
"I still have a tail and ears..."
"They are at least cute." you looked at him before moving your head to his neck.
"You are cute." you said as you yawned a little.
"So... should I leave before your boyfriend comes back?"
"He is a big scary Slytherin so... you might want to." you smiled as you moved back to sit.
"As soon as your ears have disappeared, I will take you on a date."
"We don't have to wait! I can wear my hat!" you smiled as he watched your eyes shine. He gave you a nod before you jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom.
"Kitten, take it slow please, I still have a class."
"Oh... will you skip?"
"I mean it is... of course I will." you smiled and resumed brushing your hair.
You were really excited about this new chapter in your life.
A boyfriend who accepts you and didn't judge you for being an animagus.

Bedroom mishaps. (Maknae line)
Tumblr media
An Ateez reaction to getting into an embarrassing/awkward situation while intimate
Genre: fluff, smut (nothing too explicit, though)
Word count: 6 155
Warnings: the slightest, tiniest hint of cnc/helplessness in San’s reaction, mature themes, embarrassing moments, and just awkwardness in general, lol
Dynamics: mostly sub!ateez-leaning or with no dynamics, except for mild dom!Jongho
A/N: This fic is the long-awaited second part to my Bedroom mishaps series! You can find the hyung line version here. Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
San
In his defense, it had been a long time since the two of you had had sex
And so, when San practically jumped you the second you both had a free evening to yourselves, you really couldn’t blame him
After all, if you were being honest, you really missed him too
But, as unfortunate as it was, you still had some important things to do after you got home (that didn’t include riding him into oblivion)
You know, things such as eating and resting for at least a little bit after a tiring 9-to-5
Which meant that you (but especially San) would have to wait just a bit longer
And while you were admittedly just as impatient as he was, you did not expect him to actually sit right next to you on the couch while you ate, patiently waiting for you to finish your food like some kind of needy puppy
You tried to keep your focus on the TV, watching the show on screen intently as you ignored your impatient boyfriend to the best of your abilities
Which was hard, considering how touchy he was in general, let alone right now after waiting for so long
And sure, it was a bit cute, you had to admit
Until the questions began
“So, are you almost done?” “San, I just started eating.”
“...And now?” “You can literally see the food that’s still in the bowl!”
This then went on for the rest of your meal, with only a few minutes of silence in-between whenever you gave him a quick peck as an attempt at distraction
But even with that, you could still see the giddiness in his eyes once you finally stood up from the couch, walking over to the sink to clean the dishes
With San in tow, of course
“You’re really something, you know that?” You asked in amused disbelief, turning to your boyfriend as he clung to you from behind with a coy smile
“Mm-hmm,” he wordlessly agreed, tightening his grip on your waist before moving to kiss your neck
“Can you really n-not wait until I’m finished here? Are you that needy already?” You asked abashedly, trying to keep your composure when he found a particularly sensitive spot
“If I say yes, will you finally let me take you to the bedroom?” He asked back, pressing your body even closer to his as his kisses grew more feverish
And who were you to deny him?
And so, you made your way over to the bedroom, with San leading the way this time, eagerly pulling you with him
He was surprised, however, when you quickly matched his enthusiasm the moment you landed on the bed, pulling him into a deep kiss before getting on top and taking over
It was as if a switch had flipped within you, finally properly getting into the right mood and leaving all of the stress of your daily life behind, with San now being the target of choice
Not that he was complaining, of course not
He was just taken a bit off-guard, that’s all
But even that surprise just seemed to rile him up more, pulling the sweetest noises out of him as your hands roamed his body
You could only chuckle at that, watching the previously eager and assertive man quickly crumble right before you into a desperate, deprived mess
It’s not like he could do much to hide it either, already way too sensitive to be able to suppress any of his reactions to your touches
You wouldnt have it any other way though, thriving in every little (or not so little) noise he made as you worked him, grinding down on the bulge in his sweatpants
Unbeknownst to you, however, amidst all this, there was an ongoing conflict going on in San’s head, eyes closed and eyebrows furrowing as he held onto your hips tightly in a feeble attempt to ground himself
On one hand, he was feeling incredible, loving every single thing you were doing to him
From your fingers pulling at his hair and exploring his broad chest as you kissed him fervently, to the oh-so-amazing feeling of your hips moving against his
Everything you did was just the way San liked it, the way he’d needed it for so long
But that’s where the main problem resided as well
Because while all of this felt unbelievably good, it was starting to feel a bit too good too soon
And before San knew it, he was beginning to feel that familiar warmth in his stomach, alerting him of his high just a tad too late
“W-wait, Y-Y/N-!” He tried to warn you, but his words only came out a jumbled mess, half-muffled by your lips on his and half-muffled by his own inability to speak in his current state
But even if you were to understand him, you were still so focused on everything else that you just didn’t register him speaking altogether, grinding down on him even harder if anything
And it was seemingly that exact feeling of hopelessness, the feeling of not being able to stop the pleasure, that completely did it for San, finally snapping that coil within him as he came
With a pathetic cry of your name, he suddenly stilled, holding your hips tightly against his as he threw his head back
The sudden change was enough to bring you out of your own daze as well, watching your boyfriend shudder beneath you, breath hitching with every involuntary jerk of his hips as pleasure coursed through his body
Despite your surprise, you let him be for a few seconds, allowing him to slowly come down from his high
It was easy to tell when he was starting to return to himself, a deep blush spreading across his cheeks as his foggy mind finally realized what had happened
Refusing to open his eyes, he slid his hands up your back, gently pulling you down to lie on his chest as he hid his face in the crook of your neck
After a beat or two of complete silence, you finally dared to speak up in a slow, tentative voice
“Did you just...?” You trailed off, unsure if you wanted to make your boyfriend even shyer by saying it out loud
“Um...maybe?” He replied just as hesitantly, letting out a nervous chuckle as he tried to secretly peek at your face, “would you be mad if I said yes?”
Now it was your turn to laugh, pulling away to look at his embarrassed expression
“Sannie, baby,” you began, cupping his cheek softly as you spoke, “do you really think I’d be mad at you for something like this?” You asked back, moving your hand up to fix his hair gently
He pouted at that, giving you a small, guilty frown
“I mean...” He began, another wave of embarrassment flushing his face, “I was so eager to do this before, only to just, you know...”
“Cum in your pants after a few minutes?” You brazenly finished his sentence, eliciting a humiliated sound from him
“Y/N!” He groaned as he hid his face in his hands, mortified
You just giggled, moving to pry his hands away again, “come on, you know I’m just joking,” you said, trying to coax him to look at you
“Not only was it, like, really fucking hot,” you began again, earning a surprised yet curious look from San, “but you have the whole night to make it up to me, don’t you?”
Hearing this, you finally got a sweet, genuine smile from him as he looked up at you, feeling reassured at last, “you’re right.”
With his new-found confidence, his hands slowly trailed up to your face, pulling you down gently for yet another deep, passionate kiss
“That I do.”
Tumblr media
Mingi
It’s no secret that Mingi likes to joke and play around, especially around his family, friends, and you
But lately, as you’d come to notice pretty early on, the smile he wore around you didn’t quite reach his eyes anymore
Instead, his eyes screamed exhaustion, the same way his sluggish movements and sagged shoulders as he walked around your apartment did
You wanted to ask him about it, of course you did, but with the way Mingi was, always trying not to bother anyone too much, you knew it would be useless anyway
(unless you were to pressure him into it, which just sounded like the last thing you should be doing at this moment, so that was completely out of the question)
Besides, it wasn’t like the reason behind his tiredness was some government secret anyway
With the latest project at his job nearing its deadline, it was pretty obvious what the cause was
Every day, he’d already be gone when you’d wake up, and you were lucky if you got to spend more than 2 hours in the evening with him before he’d crash in your shared bed, out like a light
So really, if anything, it was surprising that Mingi was still able to hold up his usual front even under these current conditions
Well, except for one thing, that is
For the same reasons as stated above, not only was the social aspect of your relationship hurting, but so was the sexual one
Not that you were too upset about it, of course not
You knew that Mingi was just having a busier period at work right now, and you were perfectly content waiting until he’d feel more rested and comfortable
It was just that you could see it slowly start to affect him
He’d become more touchy with you, staying close whenever the two of you were alone together (and sometimes even when you weren’t - poor cashier at the nearby convenience store)
Even the way he looked at you every time you faced him told you he needed you
But of course, with Mingi being Mingi, he was both too tired and stressed to really do anything, and too unsure about initiating any deeper kind of intimacy with you when your time together was already so limited
And so, being the loving and attentive partner you are, you decided to take matters into your own hands (literally)
It was pretty late when Mingi came home, the cheerful chime of the front door being opened sounding long after it’d gone dark outside
You were sitting on the couch, already waiting for him to finally set your plan into motion
After a couple of slow, dragging footsteps, your boyfriend’s face finally came into view, making you smile
“Hey there,” you greeted softly, getting up from where you were seated to help him with the bag over his shoulder
“Hey,” he replied, giving you a tired smile as he let you take the bag from him, but not before pulling you in for a soft, affectionate kiss
As you momentarily parted ways for you to put his things away and for him to change, you called out to him from the other room: “How was work today?”
After a few moments of silence, he finally shuffled back over to the living room, only to see you already waiting for him with a suspiciously coy smile on your lips
“Good,” he mumbled, running a hand through his slightly messy hair, “just the usual.”
You hummed in acknowledgment, thinking silently for a second before carefully walking over to him
You wrapped your arms around his waist, looking up at him with a playful spark in your eyes, “hm, that’s good to hear.”
“Yeah,” he replied in a slightly breathy voice, giving you a mildly curious look as he automatically hugged you back, “what about you?”
You grinned shyly at his question, happy that everything was going according to plan so far
“Also mostly fine - just a bit lonely, I guess. I really missed you, you know.”
Tightening your hold on him, you gently leaned into him, putting your left foot forward as a silent command for him to move back
He obliged immediately, though the confusion on his face was evident
After a couple steps backward, his legs hit the back of the couch, making him fall down onto the cushions
This time, it seemed that Mingi’s curiosity had reached its peak, as he looked up at your amused expression with big, unassuming eyes, “I- what exactly is going on right now?” He asked with a light chuckle
You let out a laugh of your own, ignoring his question as you sank down to your knees between his legs, eagerly reaching for the hem of his sweatpants
The sudden escalation obviously startled Mingi and his hands grabbed a hold of your own, stopping you before you could try to pull his pants down
“Y-Y/N, wha-what are you...?” He questioned, clearly surprised
But you just gave him another coy look, taking his hands and pulling them off his lap before grabbing at his pants again
“It’s okay, just let me take care of you, hm?”
This time, Mingi let you slide his pants down, breath hitching as you palmed him over his boxers
“I-I, uh, you don’t have to, it’s okay-”
Before he could say anything else, though, you swiftly rose back up to his face, placing a quick peck on his lips to effectively shut him up before going back down
“I know I don’t have to, but I want to,” you reassured him, making a deep blush rise to his cheeks at your genuine enthusiasm,
“So let me.”
And let you, he did.
Before long, you had reduced Mingi to a moaning mess, more sensitive and needy than you’d ever seen him
One of his hands was gently cradling your cheek, the other coming up to shield his blushing face
You were having none of that, however, instantly coming to a halt and pulling off, drawing a frustrated whine from him
“Y/N, why,” he complained needily, slightly lifting his arm to peek down at you
You reached up to grab it, pulling it down to rest by his side instead
“That’s why,” you explained, giving him a cheeky grin, “now, if you want me to keep going, you better let me hear and see you, alright?”
“Ah, o-okay, I wi-” but before he could finish his sentence, you were right back on him again, making him interrupt his own words with a strained groan, eyes closing in bliss
Without any other obstacles in your way, you resumed your previous pace, looking up at Mingi with sultry eyes as you did so
Recovering from the short moment of overwhelming pleasure, Mingi opened his eyes again, looking down at you, only to be met with your hungry gaze already on him
Immediately, he looked away again, feeling his heart skip a beat at the intensity in your eyes
Now, don’t be mistaken - Mingi could be a very passionate, confident lover when he wanted to be, and even when he didn’t, he was still somewhat composed most of the time
But now, after what felt like an eternity of not being able to experience you, hold you and take care of each other in whichever way you wanted, to suddenly seeing you so enthusiastic and focused on him in such a compromising position was, well...
Really fucking hot
And with the oversensitivity from not being touched by you for so long, Mingi could feel himself getting dangerously near the edge in no time
“Y-Y/N, you’re too good to me, I think I-” a hiss escaped him as your nails dug into his bare thigh, slowly but firmly dragging down his leg
“It’s okay hun, just cum whenever,” you said, still looking up at him to gauge his beautiful reactions
And although the hot lines you left on his thigh were comfortingly grounding, Mingi’s mind still felt like complete mush
With the past few weeks filled with nothing but work, work, and more work, the countless days running on 5 hours of sleep if he was lucky, with barely seeing you for more than a few hours a day,
Only to now be completely engulfed in your care and attention, to have you treat him so well and make him feel so much at once, physically, mentally, and emotionally,
Mingi felt like he was becoming delirious
As he was approaching his high, his hazy eyes were flitting around the room, brain completely fogged over as he could barely focus on anything except the overwhelming pleasure
And then he felt your hand on his other thigh, felt your nails slowly start to press into the muscle again, and he lost it
Suddenly tensing under you, Mingi’s mind seemed to have completely blacked out as he came, feeling the waves of pleasure wash over him as he moaned out your name
Or what he thought was your name, at least, until he finally registered the sounds of you giggling, forcing him to open his eyes again
You were looking down, forehead dropping to rest on his leg as you trembled with laughter
“W-what?” He asked, words still a bit slurred and airy as he barely started coming down from his orgasm
The question seemed to make you laugh even more, much to Mingi’s amused confusion
“Am I- god,” you took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down enough to talk, “is my name LG now?”
“What?”
Mingi looked down at you incredulously, not understanding what the fuck you just said
Did he just cum so hard he went insane?? Because he definitely felt like it
“I- n-no? What are you-”
It was only then that Mingi’s eyes seemed to have focused properly again, as he suddenly took notice of the LG television behind you, the big bold letters standing out against the otherwise black plastic
“Why did you moan out the name of our TV then?” You asked him, breaking into another fit of laughter as it all finally clicked in his head, mouth hanging open in shock as he looked at you
“Did- did I actually...?” He muttered, looking absolutely bewildered by his own actions
Trying to suppress any more giggles, you nodded with a small “yup”, grinning as you stood back up to help him re-dress
“Holy shit, I’m so sorry,” he immediately began apologizing, letting out an amazed chuckle of his own, “I knew I was a tired mess today, but not this much, damn.”
You just laughed again, moving to sit beside him and wrap your arms around his middle
“It’s fine babe, don’t worry about it. If anything, I can now proudly say I give head so good it makes you accidentally endorse electronics.”
As expected, your teasing remark worked just as intended, pulling a humiliated cry from Mingi as he hid his face in his hands
“Y/N, please!”

Wooyoung
“Fucking finally”, Wooyoung muttered to himself half-annoyed, half-excited as the front door slammed shut at last, signaling that his roommate had left after what had felt like an eternity
You couldn’t help but chuckle at his impatience, though, if you were being honest, you were feeling pretty restless as well at this point
Wooyoung had been planning this night for more than a week, making sure that everything lined up perfectly - you were free for the evening, he was free for the evening, and, most importantly, his roommate would be out for at least a few hours
It all seemed to be working out just fine when you arrived too, joining Wooyoung under the cozy blankets he’d laid out for you on the couch and choosing a movie to play in the background as you talked about your days
The both of you were content like this, happy to indulge in each other’s comforting presence and catch up with each other (so you could have more time to do other things later-)
But as the hours slowly went by and Wooyoung’s roommate was still sitting at the kitchen table, not getting ready to leave any time soon as he kept typing away on his laptop, Wooyoung was starting to become impatient
He wanted to say something to him, to hopefully speed things up just a little, but how do you do that without sounding like a desperate, horny teenager?
Exactly, you can’t
And so the two of you kept waiting, watching the TV absent-mindedly as you started to draw slow, teasing shapes on Wooyoung’s leg to try and rile him up even further
This clearly seemed to work, judging by the way his jaw clenched every time your nails traced the insides of his thigh, desperately trying to keep his eyes on the screen and not jump your bones right then and there
Wooyoung was trying to keep calm, he really was
But with each passing second of your playful teasing, he could feel himself slowly going insane
That was until a sudden ringing echoed around the dorm, making both of you jump a little in your spot
You turned around to look in the kitchen, watching as Jongho, Wooyoung’s aforementioned roommate, fumbled with the phone in his hands, quickly swiping on the display to answer
“Hey, what’s-” he began but got quickly cut off by the person on the other side, their annoyed nagging loud enough for you to hear from the other room
“W-wait, what do you mean? It’s-” Jongho’s eyes suddenly widened, seemingly realizing something just then
He quickly stood up, slamming his laptop shut as he rushed back into his room, cursing under his breath the whole way there
“Dude, I’m so sorry, I just got completely caught up in what I was doing that I didn’t see the- yeah, yeah, I know I’m a dumbass, just, uh, wait for me, okay? I’ll be right there, I swear. Bye.”
And with that, Jongho emerged out of his room again, rushing out of the apartment without sparing a single glance at the two of you
Not that either of you minded, anyway, too preoccupied with the fact that you were finally alone together to care about anything else
There was not a word spoken between the two of you as you faced each other again, the eager look in your eyes enough for the both of you to know what was about to go down
Wooyoung decided to take action first, closing the gap between your bodies by pressing your lips together in a hot, feverish kiss
You wasted no time either, quickly crawling onto his lap and tangling your fingers in his hair to deepen the kiss even further
Wooyoung’s hands roamed all over your body until they eventually came to rest on your hips, helping you grind down on the hard-on he’d been trying to keep at bay for way too long
You stayed like this for a few minutes, just enjoying each other’s bodies and the electrifying anticipation of what was about to come
That was until you tugged on Wooyoung’s hair just right, the sensation of it along with the unexpected bite on his lower lip making him let out a wanton moan
Deciding that he’d had enough, he suddenly stood up from the couch, taking you by surprise as he lifted you up with him
The look of shock on your face must have been evident, judging by the smug smile on Wooyoung’s lips as he carried you to the bedroom
“Didn’t think I could do that, huh?” He asked teasingly, eyes gauging your reaction as he breached the entrance to his room
And while you usually got annoyed by that shit-eating grin of his, you had to admit, you were genuinely impressed
“Honestly? No, I didn’t,” you conceded, watching the look of surprise on his face at you actually giving in to him, “and I gotta say, that was really fucking hot,” you continued, making Wooyoung’s ears turn red in response
He’d never admit it, but as much as he loved the usual banter and bickering between the two of you, genuine compliments and admiration like this made him completely weak in the knees for you
And so, with a new wave of fervor coursing through him, he basically threw you down on the bed, taking a split second to admire the view in front of him before jumping on it as well to join you
You couldn’t help the giggle that escaped you at his new-found passion, peppering kisses all over your neck as his hands slipped under your shirt, eagerly exploring the skin there
Not wanting to waste any more time, you gently pulled his head away to take off your shirt and bra, immediately causing his eyes to look down, taking in all of your beautiful body under him
It seemed as though everything you did made him even more enthusiastic, every little movement, noise, or revealed skin turning him on impossibly more
And while this was definitely endearing and sexy to you (as well as a huge confidence boost), it also came with quite a bit of clumsiness from Wooyoung
From the way his hands fumbled with his hoodie before finally managing to take it off, to the momentary loss of balance as he dove back down to give you yet another hot kiss
Only to accidentally lean a bit too forward and bump your foreheads together - hard
“Ow!” You cried out in pain at the impact, pulling away from him as you caressed your throbbing forehead
Wooyoung let out a small groan of his own at the collision, but shook the pain off right away to tend to you
“Shit, are you okay?” He asked worriedly, replacing your hand with his to try and soothe the spot himself
“I- yeah, it’s- it’s okay, just,” you tried to reply, forced to pause for a moment due to the sharp pain in your skull, “didn’t expect it, is all.”
“Are you sure?” Wooyoung pressed on anyway, not believing your words when your eyes were still scrunched up in pain, “I swear I didn’t mean to do that, I’m so sorry, babe.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle at that, making him even more puzzled
“Woo it’s fine, really,” you said, finally opening your eyes again to give him an amused smile, “and of course you didn’t mean to, who would ever consciously decide to just ram their head into their girlfriend like that?”
Wooyoung groaned at your words, leaning down to hide his face in your neck in embarrassment, “shut up, I still feel bad.”
You cooed at that, finding this guilty and sheepish side of your boyfriend utterly adorable
“I know hun, it’s okay,” you comforted him, rubbing gentle circles on his back while the pain in your forehead slowly started to subside, “I think we both just got a little too excited for our own good, you know?”
Wooyoung rose up at that, looking at you with big eyes as he argued back: “Of course we did! How could I not be horny out of my mind when Jongho made us wait almost two extra hours?!”
“And there he is again”, you thought to yourself with a chuckle
The drama queen of a boyfriend you came to love so much, happy and lively just like before <3
Tumblr media
Jongho
Sex with Jongho was fun.
Contrary to what the people around him made you believe at first - that he was this mature and aloof guy who was always so quiet and serious - you quickly came to find just how wrong all of them were
Because despite admittedly keeping to himself most of the time around other people, that did not apply to his romantic and sexual relationships in the slightest
After all, when you have to hold yourself to a certain standard all day, it gets pretty tiring pretty quickly
And so, once the two of you started to get more comfortable with each other, Jongho let himself relax around you as well
He gradually became more and more open and vulnerable with you, letting you in on his various thoughts and opinions, and, later on, even some of his deepest secrets
Of course, this is no one-way street, and in the same way Jongho expects you to accept him fully, he does so to you as well
Whatever it is that you want to share or are interested in, you can always trust Jongho to hear you out with a completely open and curious mind
At first, this pertained mainly to your general relationship, but as time went on and you’d had your fair share of comfortable, vanilla sex, the two of you mutually agreed on trying to venture a bit further
You started out pretty simple, introducing light bondage and some mild dirty talk into the bedroom, which ended up being a lot of fun for the both of you
Eventually, however, even that became too mild and familiar, and you continued to explore even deeper
Because of this, discussing different turn-ons and fantasies became pretty common between the two of you, and although it still made you feel a bit embarrassed (and, judging by the small blush on Jongho’s cheeks as he stumbled over his words a little, you weren’t the only one), it was really exciting to hear and see what Jongho found arousing
During one of these discussions, you’d decided to bring up something that had been plaguing your mind for the longest time now, finally feeling brave enough to admit to it
“Actually, there was something new I’ve been wanting to try for a while now,” you confessed shyly after Jongho asked you if there was anything new you wanted to look into
“Oh? What is it?” He asked, perching up in his spot on the couch
“Ah, it’s a bit embarrassing, especially now that I’ve admitted to thinking about it for a long time,” you nervously chuckled, making Jongho smile at your cute antics as well before silently beckoning you to continue
“It’s just that...I’ve been wondering if maybe you could try being a bit...rougher in bed, so to speak? Like using your strength more and just, you know,” you trailed off, somehow feeling a lot more shy bringing up this specific idea than any of the other interests
Jongho giggled at your red face, unable to stop himself from blushing either
It’s not a secret that Jongho is pretty buff and strong, anyone can recognize that just by glancing at him
However, that didn’t stop Jongho from nearly melting on the spot whenever you complimented him on his physique, puffing his chest like the cheesy man he is whenever you did
So now, to hear that you not only liked his strength but liked it like that, Jongho was pretty much screaming and squealing on the inside (in a good way, of course!!)
“Oh, um, uh,” Jongho began, stammering like a bumbling idiot as his head filled over with way too many interesting ideas at the prospect
It wasn’t like he hadn’t thought about this either, of course he had
It was just that he didn’t want to force anything like this on you, since your sex life has been mostly just soft and loving so far, and he didn’t want to make you think he didn’t enjoy it that way
And so, he waited for you to come to him of your own volition, wanting to be sure that you genuinely wanted this as well and weren’t agreeing to it just to please him because most porn sites showed the rougher parts of sex
But now that you did, he was so surprised that he almost didn’t know what to say, except for the stuttery and giggly “y-yeah, sure, I’d love to.”
And it was exactly those few words of agreement that brought you here, lying with your back on the bed, legs wrapped around Jongho’s waist as he let all of his frustration out on you
He’d had a long, infuriating day at work today, and after storming home almost fuming, it was unanimously decided that this was the perfect time to try out your latest suggestion
With the way Jongho was already furious, there was no need to try and rile him up any further
You knew as much by the way he suddenly picked you up in the hallway, throwing you over his shoulder with a slap to your butt as he stomped over to your shared bedroom
There, he threw you down on your bed, quickly tossing his shirt off before making his way to you, caging you between his arms as he kissed you feverishly
And now, a few minutes later, you were still pressed beneath him, grasping onto his arms and back for dear life as he let himself get completely lost in you, grunting with every rougher thrust
“Jongho!” You cried out, making him look down at you with wild, dazed eyes
“Wh-what? Fuck, you feel so good,” he moaned, closing his eyes momentarily to try to calm down (or at least enough to be able to comprehend your words)
“M-more,” you whined weakly, giving him an equally as fucked-out face
He let out a hitched chuckle at your words, lowering his head with a grin of disbelief
“More? I’m already fucking you this hard and you still want more?” He questioned, making you whimper at the teasing words
“You’re insatiable, I swear,” he muttered proudly, leaning down to give you a passionate kiss before suddenly pulling away, “but fine.”
He removed your legs from his waist, only to then hoist them up to rest on his shoulders as he nearly folded you in half
You gasped at the sudden change of positions, feeling him drive even deeper into you like this
Without any further ado, he resumed his previous pace, pushing into you with a loud groan
You were quick to return back to your cloud nine, mind hazed over with nothing but Jongho firmly gripping your hips, brows furrowing as he desperately tried to hold back his orgasm for just a little longer
You were getting way too close yourself, sneaking a hand between the two of you to help yourself just a little bit more to get there
Not long after, you felt yourself dangerously near the edge, mouth opening to tell Jongho in what you hoped would be a stable enough voice for your pleas to still be coherent
Before you could say anything, however, a loud snap resonated through the room, and you could feel the bed under you dip slightly
The two of you froze instantly, looking at each other with wide eyes as you tried to catch your breath
You were the first one to break the silence, still gasping for breath as you spoke: “Did the bed just...?”
After a beat of nothing, Jongho replied: “I-I think so.”
Leaning a bit to the side to check the bedframe, Jongho first let out a shocked gasp before an incredulous chuckle left his lips as he saw a huge crack running down the side of it
“Holy shit.”
You shared a long look of both amazement and embarrassment before a sly, teasing smile made its way onto your lips
“So, are you gonna keep going, or...?”
Taking a second to process your words, Jongho let out a small laugh at your words, shaking his head in amused disbelief
“Just like I said...”
He cautiously moved off the bed, hearing a dangerously loud creak from under him as he got up
But then, without a warning, he pulled you by your leg to the edge of the bed before picking you up into his arms, making you yelp in surprise as you instinctively wrapped yourself around him
“You’re absolutely insatiable,” he said, a playful grin on his face as your eyes met again before giving you a quick peck on the lips
Carefully, he carried you down the hallway and into the living room before laying you down on the couch
Just like before, he climbed onto the couch with you, lifting your legs up again to resume what you had been doing
Not before going in for one more kiss, though, pulling away with that beautiful smile of his
“But I love it.”

| Your Salaryman Husband | (Vol 9)
Vol 1 Vol 2 Vol 3 Vol 4 Vol 5 Vol 6 Vol 7 Vol 8 (Not Required)
Salaryman!Kento x Housewife!Reader
When Nanami accidentally rolls onto you in your sleep...
Word Count: 1.1k
CW: SFW, domestic fluff, fem!Reader, reader wears a nightgown, Nanami is worried, very slightly suggestive.
A/n: This started as Nanami bringing you flowers and ended up as whatever this is?... (I'll do that next volume instead!)
Nanami sat at the dining room table, staring down at the few hours worth of paperwork before him. As per usual he was already burnt out from his work at the office, but of course it didn’t stop there. One of the joys of getting married was making quite a few large purchases, especially since the two of you didn’t live together beforehand. It had you very grateful he already had a car in good condition, as to not add another thing to the list.
Unfortunately for Nanami, this wasn’t the kind of work he could get done with prior to coming home to you. Instead, he had to piece every budgeting document and report from various companies at home, and you had offered to join him in doing so. It went a lot faster thanks to your help, but seeing you all tired was not something he wanted to come from such menial tasks in his opinion. But the work was almost done, and most of the documents would finalize the purchases and regular payments that the two of you would need to make.
You were well accustomed to handling the household finances, keeping track of how much you spent each week at the grocery store, and trying to cut back on costs through growing vegetables and eating at home as much as possible. The two of you tried to run everything by each other whenever something was purchased, so your insight was very much appreciated by him.
In between your yawns, Nanami let out a soft chuckle as he flipped through some pages and sat them to the side. After a few hours of jotting down figures, it was quite satisfying to watch them get slid into an envelope, placed into a box, and sealed away to not be touched for (hopefully) the next decade at least, assuming everything was done correctly.
You laid your head gently down onto the table, as Nanami moved his hand to cup your cheek and act as a pillow. Dinner was already cooking in the oven, a simple one-pan dish of vegetables and protein to be paired with fresh fruit you had purchased from the market earlier that day and ice cream as dessert. The scent flowed throughout the house, making you especially hungry, but it mostly lulled you closer to sleep.
Watching his cute little wife so tired and sweet, Nanami wouldn’t have been able to stop a smile from overcoming his face if he tried. In fact it was another thing that he loved about you, how despite being ready sleep in until noon the next day, you still got up and served the two of you dinner, making sure that everything was in place to make the next day go as smoothly as possible.
The dishes were washed and set out to dry, and both of you changed into your clothes for the night. A pair of simple pajama pants and a loose fitting shirt for Nanami, and a cream colored nightgown for you. After brushing your teeth, you slid into bed with your husband following behind.
If you weren’t so tired, Nanami would have acted on his urge to smother you with kisses. Instead he settled for just one, right on the lips held there for a couple seconds. To that you protested, “Kento I’m not that tired, you don’t have to go to sleep-,” but he cut you off. “I’m serious you need rest, goodnight my love,” he slipped under the covers, gently spooning you close as you drifted off to sleep.
However, those urges didn’t seem to subside. Though usually still throughout the night, acting as a cage as you squirmed around, while deep into his own dreams he managed to turn onto his stomach… with you underneath him. Absolutely smooshed into your pillow, you woke up quickly and turned your head to the side to keep your ability to breath well.
Your husband was large, that you knew, but for that to become a problem was quite rare when it was usually appreciated. It was that and the fact that he was gripping you so tightly, arms crossed over your torso like you would to a stuffed animal, an inescapable hold that still wasn’t yet uncomfortable. You thought about waking Nanami up for a bit, trying to wriggle out of his arms or push him off of you. Breathing wasn’t a problem and you didn’t exactly mind the closeness, though he was a bit heavy… so it took a good half hour for you to finally build up the will to ask him as you started to overheat.
Ignoring your lack of sleep, by that time you were giggling at the look on his face when he finally woke up and moved. Nanami sat up on the bed, a slight flush to his cheeks and his lips had curled into a frown. “My love, don’t feel bad to wake me up,” he stated sternly, checking to make sure you were okay in a slightly frantic manner. “I’m sorry, Kento, but I’m okay, I promise,” you reasoned with him, to which he shook his head. “Either way I apologize, I’ll try to make sure this doesn’t happen again,” you snuggled back into the blankets, pulling Nanami by the hand so he laid down as well.
“Are you sure you don’t want water or something? It must have been uncomfortable,” Nanami tried to get up to go grab some, but you remained clinging onto his arm. “I’m okay, it wasn’t bad,” you yawned with a smile, “In fact… I rather liked being so close.” In all your nights of sleeping in the same bed together, now nearing your fourth month of doing so, you never had encountered him doing such a thing. Something to note about what happens when you, his wife, the love of his life, looks a bit too irresistible and he cannot indulge as usual.
Nanami hummed, letting out a yawn himself. He turned you around to face him, as you closed your eyes. “Like this?” he asked, admiring your face that was tucked into his chest. He breathing slowed down, worry leaving his mind as he relaxed with you. “It’s perfect,” you smiled, “Goodnight, darling.”

Followed
Hey! I've had this idea floating around in my head for a little while now and finally got it out on paper. Halstead! Sister is followed while trying to go to a coffee shop. Hope you enjoy reading and stay safe out there y'all, it's a wild world we live in unfortunately.
“What are your plans for today?” asked Jay the minute you walked into the kitchen.
“Well good morning to you” you sassily replied while walking to the fridge to grab the milk.
You were off from work and had been looking forward to this day since last Monday.
“Hmm, I was thinking of maybe going and visiting an old friend from the old neighborhood and then maybe get coffee from my favorite spot before returning home and lounging and doing nothing” you answered while sinking your spoon into your cereal.
“Solid plan. Remember if you need me for any reason and I don’t answer, call Al.”
“Al?” you questioned when you swallowed your cereal bite. “Usually you tell me to call Hailey.”
Swiping his keys off the counter, Jay looks at you and says, Voight switched up the partners this week and I’m with Al while Hailey is with Kevin, so I repeat call Al if you need me and I don’t answer”
“Okay” you mock saluted.
“Pick up. Pick up. Come on pick up” you muttered while your phone was up to your ear and you looked over your shoulder while picking up the pace a bit.
“Hey this is Detective Jay Halstead, I can’t come to the phone right now. Leave your name and number after the beep and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible” the familiar voice mail message spoke out into your ear.
“Fuck!” you muttered while ending the call and picking your pace up a bit more after looking behind you and still seeing the person who had been following you for the past 3 blocks behind you.
“What’s a pretty girl like you doing out and bout?” asked the man while also picking up his pace.
You ignored him and kept walking. Wondering when the hell you were going to hit 35th street.
“Are you headed to work or school?” the man asked when he got shoulder to shoulder with you.
You ignored the guy again really wishing your brother would have picked up.
Gripping your phone in your sweatshirt pocket you picked up your pace again, walking slightly more ahead of the guy.
Pulling your phone out again, you quickly ran through your contacts and clicked on Olinsky before letting it dial.
“You’re really pretty you know that?” the man started again while finally keeping his distance from you but still following you.
‘36th street… 36th street place… 35th street! Finally!’ you thought while reading the street signs. Al’s phone also went to voicemail. Meaning they must be at a crime scene or in the car or something.
Turning right onto the street you notice the guy who had been following you for the past 5 blocks is no longer following you but of course you don’t get far enough away before you hear, “Have a great day sweetheart! You're gorgeous!”
Visibly shuddering you honestly feel disgusting and don’t even want coffee anymore. Mainly because you're shaken up but also because it means you have to be in the area for longer.
So you quickly pull your phone out and call a number you didn’t exactly want to call.
“Trudy?” you sniffled when she picked up.
“Kid, what's wrong?” she asked on the other side.
“Is my brother and Al on a call right now?”
You hear some rustling and then the sound of a buzzer and heavy footsteps before someone speaks again.
“Y/N? Are you okay?”
“Jay!” you all but shout!
“What’s wrong?”
“Why didn’t you pick up when I called you? Why didn’t Al pick up when I called?”
“I’m sorry, we were doing an interrogation. What’s up.”
“Uh, can you come get me?”
“Why? Can’t you take the bus? I thought you were visiting a friend and getting coffee?”
“I visited with my friend, it was a good time but I uh got followed and cat called and feel dirty and just want to go home”
“Cat called? Followed? For how long? Al and I are on our way! Where are you?”
“Uh from 37th street all the way to 35th street. I’m walking up 35th right now. I can wait by that school that’s right there if that’s easy enough of a landmark for you guys to find me.”
You hear the car start and doors being shut before you can hear your voice echo.
“Kid, we don’t care where we pick you up. Wherever makes you feel safest is good enough for us.” you hear Al say.
“Uh, uh, yea the elementary school should be good. I’ll be on the sidewalk.” you stuttered out while running a hand through your hair.
“Sounds good, we should be there in 20” replied your brother.
“Hang in there kid” added Al before the call ended.
The next twenty minutes were the longest twenty minutes of your life. You still felt really dirty and uneasy and just wanted to be in the safety of your brother or even better the safety of your own bed.
“Hey Y/N, get in” you heard. You looked up to see Al’s Dodge Magnum car in front of you and your brother’s window rolled down. Quickly shuffling to your feet you scramble into the back seat and audibly let out a sigh.
“You okay?” your brother asked while turning in his seat to face you.
Nodding, you reply, “now I am, thank you for coming and getting me. I’m sorry you had to leave work.”
Al pulled into a parking space near Scoops ice cream and stated reassuringly, “Kid, you’re family. Meaning you're important to us. No case will ever be too important to come and get you”
Smirking, you asked, “Let me guess, are you just saying that cause the guy you guys were interrogating was jamming up and you weren’t getting anywhere with them?”
Shaking their heads, Al and Jay looked at each other knowingly.
“But we are being honest kid, if you ever have a problem or encounter again like today you call anyone in intelligence and they will have your back!”
“Copy! Can we get ice cream now?” you chuckled.

contains: jongho bday fluff!
Tumblr media
A finger points to an unfinished spot on the easel, the one where Jongho’s brush is stroking against. He almost paints it green if it weren’t for his reflexes and he turns to the culprit to complain, suspecting it’s one of his annoying members. Alas, he finds you. His little flame of love that sparks warmth and a comfort that can only be felt by the view of your eyes.
Jongho, of course, doesn’t say any of this to you. He only pouts up at you with a fake annoyance, “Do you want me to paint you green?”
You, of course, ignore his usual snarky greeting and press a kiss to his round, pink cheek, “You should put our cat there.”
He scrunches his nose as if he’s disgusted by your lips he’s tried to find something that gives him the same rush as a kiss from you, but he’s never found it and turns back towards his unfinished painting. His eyes follow you as you place his favorite meal on the dinner table. Tender hands prepare it for him just the way he likes it, a sweet memory of him following your every movement. How did you know he was really craving that today?
Jongho turns back towards the easel, pretending as if his attention isn’t stolen by you every time you walk into a room, “This is for atiny. Not you. I’ll make you a painting of him some other time,”
You make that pouty face that you know Jongho loves and he rolls his eyes, “I’ll do it after I finish this one.”
That puts a smile back on your face and he can’t help but giggle at you. You’re ridiculous and silly, and he loves it a bit too much. He feels especially smitten by you today, even though the day is about him.
You return behind him, admiring his delicate, polished strokes. He takes a moment of reprieve to think about his next move and you take the opportunity to bring a piece of his meal to his lips. He looks up at you questioningly before taking it into his mouth from your hand. He melts at the flavor at you, savoring it for a moment as he looks over his work.
You take a piece from his plate, “I’m kind of mad you’re good at painting and singing,”
He snorts at that, “Not everyone can be as good as me, unfortunately.”
Your laughter brings another smile to his face and another reason for happiness as he hears it, “I’ll let the cockiness slide since it’s your birthday.”
Jongho nods affirmatively and speaks sarcastically, “Thank you so much.”
He hears a muttered ‘that’s it’ and before Jongho can even defend himself, he feels a barrage of your lips against his cheek, neck, and every other part of his body your lips can reach. His muffled giggles as your mouth covers his and your hands find his most ticklish spots are sweet enough to make you sick, filling you with enough love that there’s no possible way you can keep it inside.
Your arms wrap around his front one last time, as the softest of kisses is landed on his now blushing face, “Happy birthday, Jjong.”

chapter 6 ► the fighting that i keep inviting could lead me to my grave
Tumblr media
Two 4 AM trains in the span of 48 hours were more than you or Jungkook could handle, so both of you slept through nearly the entire nine-hour ride from Paris to Berlin. You only woke up for the transfer in Mannheim, but barely—hunger carried you both to the train station where you could buy warm pastries before going back to sleep.
By the time the two of you rejoined the band, you felt exhausted and disoriented. Although you didn’t regret the detour to Paris, you still struggled to imagine how Jungkook was going to manage to perform a show in Berlin tonight. You hoped the exhaustion from the trip would numb him down to just the right level of insanity that he’d be able to pull it off.
In any case, you sent him to get some sleep for a few hours before Rated Riot’s soundcheck, while you went to check up on the crew that you’d left unsupervised while you were in Paris.
Unsurprisingly, everything was under control: Seokjin kept a tight grip on the stage management crew—you probably wouldn’t have believed it if you hadn’t seen it time and time again, but someone who joked around at every chance he got still managed to have one of the strongest work ethics on tour—and Namjoon had kept the remaining members of Rated Riot busy.
If you hadn’t been exhausted to the point of confusion, you might have felt offended about how little you were needed here.
Half an hour later, Luna found you stumbling back into the tour bus.
“How was the wedding?” she asked straight away.
She wasn’t the type to conceal her eagerness when she was particularly curious about something—it was not even the wedding in this case, but your confrontation with Jungkook—but she still made sure to help you climb up the bus steps before you tumbled backwards and broke your neck.
You were far too tired to understand the expectations that hid behind her question, however, as you mumbled dejectedly, “I caught the bouquet.”
“You—” she began to say and then burst into laughter so unexpectedly that the roadie, who’d been unloading the stage equipment outside the bus, flinched in surprise. “You caught the bouquet! Of course, you caught the fucking bouquet.”
You wondered if you were too out of it to understand why this was so funny to her that she couldn’t stop laughing the entire ride to the venue, but you lacked the energy to ask.
“There was no ex,” you said as you glided towards your bunk while your amused friend stood back, covering up the sharp angles on your way with her hand. “Sid was just being an idiot. If I see him—well, I probably won’t do anything because I don’t know what the laws for assault are in Germany—are we in Germany? I’m so tired.”
Noticing your haphazard stream of thoughts, Luna pulled herself together and stopped laughing—but only for a short while—as she helped you reach your bunk.
“We are in Germany,” she confirmed. “Although I’m not sure where you are. How about you take a quick nap while the band does their soundcheck?”
“No, no. I have things to do now that I’m back. To make up for leaving.”
“Things are fine,” she assured you. You knew she was right, but your guilt was persistent. “Nothing fell apart while you were gone. The guys took care of themselves just fine. You’ve raised them well.”
You acknowledged the joke with a small, tired smile. That was good enough for Luna, who was starting to get worried your condition would require medical attention, considering how adamantly you were resisting her attempts to sit you down in your bunk—despite looking like you may fall asleep standing up.
“Are you sure?” you asked again.
“I am,” she said. “Sleep, okay? We’ll be fine.”
Somewhere deep in your exhausted subconsciousness, you realised how unprofessional it would be to take a nap while the band you managed went to the soundcheck on their own. But your eyes were closing without your say so, and you hardly could have helped anyone in a state like this anyway.

When you woke up several hours later, Rated Riot were doing their Meet & Greet according to schedule, and you felt much better—or, at least, good enough to return to your regular duties. You grabbed a Snickers bar from the mini-fridge, and then went out of the bus and into the venue.
As it turned out, it was only the stage management crew and the producers who had kept things in control; they were the ones who hadn’t noticed your absence. Unfortunately, everyone else had.
Luna was kind when she told you that nothing fell apart while you were gone.
Some things wobbled, and there were several rushed phone calls you had to make to fix it—namely, to make up for one of the interviews that Rated Riot missed because they were doing another interview, which wasn’t initially scheduled— but you were grateful for all of it. The sudden rush of adrenaline completely woke you up.
Meanwhile, Jungkook was doing jumping jacks in the changing room to keep himself awake after he managed to survive the Meet & Greet. It wasn’t terrible—it was, actually, very inspiring as these events tended to be—but he couldn’t stop apologising to the fans for his incessant yawning. It just wasn’t right. He was better than that—the fans deserved his complete presence.
The other Rated Riot members were getting snacks at the buffet on the first floor; they planned to go exploring Berlin for an hour or two before the show. Aware of that, Sid, Jude, and Minjun found their way into the changing room.
Their arrival stopped Jungkook’s exercise before they even announced their entrance. For a minute, the four of them regarded each other in complete silence.
Even Jude was quiet this time. As it turned out, his earlier sneezing was a lesser-known withdrawal symptom that one night out in the city seemed to fix—at least that’s what he informed everyone in the group chat. Jungkook wanted to know nothing about it; he rarely drew lines with his friends, but he drew one here. His preferred method of intoxication had always been alcohol and cigarettes, he never needed more thrills.
“Well!” Jungkook finally exclaimed. “If it isn’t my four-thousand dollars.”
Even if his friends hadn’t seen you two leave together the other day, everyone travelling with Rated Riot was aware that the manager of the band was going to be gone for a day, because she was taking a trip to Paris with Jungkook.
Sid mumbled something incoherent while Jude shook his head, and Minjun just stood there, hands in his pockets. He was the one who spoke up first, glancing between the three other boys.
“It seems like he won fair and square,” he said to Sid and Jude, both of whom appeared to be looking for loopholes. “I see no appeals.”
“That’s right,” Jungkook declared. “I did win fair. Even though some of you tried to play dirty.”
He only glanced at Sid as he said this—the insinuation obvious enough—but his friend reacted like he’d been shot.
“I didn’t even say anything to her!” he defended. Jungkook couldn’t help a knowing grin—he hadn’t even said anything about Sid talking to you. Irritably, Sid continued, “and how did you even win, exactly? We bet on a date, not a—whatever the fuck you two did.”
“We went on a date,” Jungkook said again, taking pride in his calm tone and the way it seemed to cause steam to come out of Sid’s ears. “To a wedding. Do I get an extra $500 for how romantic that is?”
Really, he didn’t care about the extra money. He cared about Sid’s reaction—and it was satisfying. The older boy rolled his eyes and kept toying with his hands: crossing, then uncrossing them, stuffing them in his pockets, then resting them on the back of a chair in front of him.
Finally, he said, “you went as friends.”
“She was my date,” Jungkook reiterated. “That’s how weddings work. You don’t bring friends, you bring dates.”
“That’s not—” Jude tried to interject, but Sid extended a dangerous hand and cut him off with this gesture alone.
“Did you kiss her at the end of this date?” he asked, the last word sounding more like a synonym for a massacre than a romantic night out on his lips.
Jungkook frowned at him. “How is that relevant to the bet?”
“It’s the most important part. That’s the one thing that separates your—your outing from actual dates.”
Jungkook swallowed and looked at his other friends. Jude seemed distracted, not paying much attention to the conversation at all, while Minjun just appeared uncomfortable like he had the first time he found out about the bet. Neither of them jumped to his side or even offered a sympathetic nod.
“That wasn’t what we talked about when we agreed to the bet,” Jungkook said. His voice lacked certainty and Sid picked up on it immediately.
“That’s literally how dates go,” he said and broke off into a leisurely stroll around the changing room. His previous resentment had long but faded as he explained, “you spend time together, you talk, whatever—then you kiss.”
“Sid, my man,” Minjun waited until Sid stopped walking, then patted him on the back, mocking comfort. “This reasoning is not on your side at all.”
“Yeah,” Jude agreed, snorting. “By this logic, you’ve never been on a single date in your whole life.”
Sid pushed his tongue into his cheek in annoyance, and even Jungkook grinned as the two boys high-fived over Sid’s head.
“It was a date,” Jungkook repeated once more. “Stop looking for ways out of it and go get my money.”
Jude pushed his hand into his back pocket where he kept his wallet—this didn’t seem to faze him much; for someone who had an abundance of it, this was just money—but Sid extended his hand again, signalling for him to stop. Clearly, it wasn’t just money for him. It was a matter of pride.
“Dude, you have got to stop doing that,” Jude said as Sid’s arm smacked him on the chest. “I’m not a fucking dog.”
Ignoring him, Sid narrowed his eyes at Jungkook. “You went to that wedding as friends and you know it.”
“Actually, thanks to you, I barely went to that wedding at all,” Jungkook shot back. He took one step closer to Sid with each sentence that followed, “but I did. And I took her as my date. Just like I said I would. So, pay up.”
By the time he finished speaking, he was right in front of him—and, therefore, had the best seats in the house to witness Sid actually hesitate, likely for the first time in his life.
Still, Sid clicked his tongue and said, “I don’t think so.”
Throwing his head back with a groan, Jungkook placed his hands on his hips.
“Sounds like you’re too idiotic to admit you lost,” he said. “Now what?”
He’d meant the question for the rest of his friends, but it was Sid who needed less than two seconds to offer a solution.
“We’ll use a referee,” he said, turning around. “Minjun?”
Clearly not having expected to be assigned this role, Minjun opened his mouth in surprise, then closed it again.
“What—why do I have to referee?” he asked after a moment. “I wasn’t even there when you made the bet.”
“That’s exactly why,” Sid said. “Jungkook, Jude and I are involved. You’re the only one who can be impartial.”
Jungkook didn’t protest; he didn’t see the point. Minjun was more level-headed than Sid, so he liked those odds. Not to mention, he’d always had a different friendship with Minjun, one that actually felt like a friendship. So, he only shrugged when Minjun glanced at him as if asking if he agreed with this.
Noticing this, Sid wondered, for a split-second, if Minjun really could be as impartial as he thought he’d be (and he’d thought that, of course, Minjun would swing more in his direction—all of Sid’s friends did, that’s why they were his friends).
“Fine,” Minjun decided, making his way to the middle of the changing room. “Sit down. Tell us about the date.”
All three of them obediently relocated to the couch. Jungkook had to sit on the armrest because Sid and Jude took up the entirety of the loveseat with their exceptional talent at manspreading.
“What else do you want me to say?” he asked. “I already told you everything.”
“That was barely anything,” Sid protested next to him.
Jungkook was about to argue back, but Minjun spoke first, “Sid’s right. I need to know more details so I can make an informed decision.”
Jungkook didn’t know if that was fair—he’d taken you out on a date, he’d won—and he didn’t want to share anything else with them. This seemed like Sid’s way to rile him up even more, and the rest of his friends played along with it.
“We went to a wedding,” he said.
“You already said that,” Minjun pointed out.
“Okay,” Jungkook clenched his jaw. Then added, “we took a train to get there.”
“Fuck’s sake,” Jude was the one who got annoyed first as he groaned and locked his hands behind his head. “If that’s all you did, you definitely didn’t go to that wedding as dates. You barely went as friends, my man.”
Offended, Jungkook shuffled in his seat, trying to throw one leg over the other, but nearly losing his balance on the armrest as he did. He settled back into his previous stoic position.
“That’s—that’s not all we did,” he said awkwardly.
“Okay, so what else?” Minjun encouraged. “Did you talk?”
“No, we mimed to make it more fun,” he deadpanned. “Of course, we fucking talked. We talked the whole time on the train.”
Ignoring his wit, Minjun gave a thoughtful nod. “Okay. So, that’s what? Fifteen hours of non-stop talking? That’s a point for Jungkook.”
“Wait, wait, wait,” Sid immediately perked up, leaning forward with so much force that he nearly knocked Jungkook off the armrest. “But how do we know he’s not lying to us?”
Jungkook thought he might start throwing things. He wasn’t sure how he felt about whatever this was, but it sure reminded him of an interrogation, and he couldn’t help feeling defensive—to the point of physical violence if that’s what it took. But Minjun took his role as a referee very seriously.
“Because I have to pry information about this date out of him,” he said. Sid leaned back in his seat, smacking his lips in resignation. Minjun added, this time throwing a warning look at Jungkook, “and because if he says something I have a hard time believing, I’ll go straight to the other source.”
Jungkook widened his eyes, near-frantic. “You can’t ask her. She’ll kick me out of the band. She’ll never fucking speak to me again!”
Unsure which consequence Jungkook was more afraid of, Minjun nodded and said, gentler now, “then don’t lie.”
“I haven’t lied once,” he argued, picking up a decorative pillow off the floor—it must have fallen there when the two boys sat down on the couch—and tossing it at Sid, who caught it before it hit his face. “Your distrustful ass needs to shut up and quit whining. You fucking lost.”
“I didn’t fucking—”
“Focus,” Minjun said firmly—like a teacher, trying to discipline unruly kindergartners. “Jungkook. What did you talk about? How many mentions of your feelings for each other?”
Jungkook closed his eyes at the question, pushing his chin forward, an expression of blatant disbelief on his face.
“How many mentions of—what the fuck?” he spoke, unable to repeat the question without scoffing. He opened his eyes to look at each one of his friends. “Have any of you ever been on a real date?”
“I’d be on one right now if we weren’t holding court about a fucking bet,” Jude mumbled, his stare vacant as he clearly shifted in and out of focus on this conversation.
“I take it no mentions, then,” Minjun concluded.
“Of course, no mentions,” Jungkook groaned, throwing his hands in the air. “Who the fuck—”
“1-1,” Minjun declared, cutting him off. Cursing under his breath at the ridiculous, almost unrealistic turn that this bet had taken, Jungkook pushed himself deeper into the armrest, his side purposefully digging into Sid’s. Minjun asked, “how much time did you spend together—just the two of you—excluding the time on the train?”
“Wh—okay,” the vocalist inhaled, figuring he’d have to actually answer this one or else his friend would vote in Sid’s favour again. “We took a cab to the wedding. And walked around the Champs-Elysées.”
“Good, good,” Minjun nodded. “Was there any sort of—"
“Wait,” Jungkook stopped him, “don’t I get a point for that?”
“For what?” Sid interjected. “Walking down the street with her?”
“It wasn’t a fucking—”
“You get half a point,” Minjun said. “Now was there any sort of physical touching? Any hugs? Embraces?”
Again, Jungkook was forced to give his friends questioning looks. He felt incredulous—not just because it was starting to seem likely that he’d lose the bet, but also because they were forcing him to share the parts of his life that he’d never shared with anyone other than you before.
“You’re exploiting the shit out of me right now,” he said.
Minjun groaned and proceeded to curse as he spun around his axis, finally losing patience—not with Jungkook per se. He was just tired of being the middleman in a very stupid, childish game.
“We’re literally trying to find out if you were on a date or not,” he said louder. “Why is it so hard for you to just answer the questions and get this over with?”
“Because it’s my fucking business!” Jungkook snapped, jumping to his feet. “We never agreed that I’d have to share any details about the date. Just the fact that there even was a date was supposed to be enough.”
“But we don’t know if there was a date,” Sid argued—in every way that Jungkook appeared agitated right now, Sid came off as victorious. He knew this wasn’t looking good for Jungkook. “That’s the whole point.”
“Why the fuck would I take her to Paris,” he demanded, aware that he was yelling now, “if not for a fucking date?!”
“Because you’re in love with her,” Sid shot back. The relative calmness of his voice in comparison to his only pissed Jungkook off more.
Both of them were standing now, but Sid, who was only taller by a few centimetres, somehow always had the upper hand—not just in this conversation, but in their friendship, too.
In barely fifteen minutes, the tables had turned completely, and Jungkook was the one losing control of himself.
“That has nothing to do with—oh my God,” he covered his face with his hands and turned his back to his friends, giving up. “Okay. Fine. I can’t do this shit.”
“So, you admit defeat?” Sid asked—Jungkook could hear the grin on his friend’s face without looking at him.
“I admit nothing,” he grumbled.
“If you can’t prove it was a date, you lose.”
Turning around to look at him, Jungkook shrugged with exaggerated intensity as he asked through a humourless laugh, “how would I prove it? Everything I say sounds like a joke to you three.”
“I wasn’t laughing,” Jude spoke up suddenly—another return to the home planet—and then mumbled, “you’re not very funny.”
“I wasn’t trying to be—” Jungkook stopped and inhaled sharply. He’d grown tired of playing this courtroom drama with the three of them. “Alright. I need to get ready for the show.”
All three of his friends understood the subtle indication that Jungkook was kicking them out of the changing room—Minjun turned towards the door and Jude stood up from the couch. But Sid stood still.
“The keys,” he said.
Jungkook frowned. “What?”
“Hand over the keys.”
Clenching his jaw, Jungkook kept eye contact with him for a minute before saying firmly, “I’m not handing you anything.”
“You lost the bet,” Sid said—his voice gaining a dangerous edge now that Jungkook wasn’t complying. “The Katana is mine.”
Jungkook pursed his lips as he continued to stare defiantly into his friend’s eyes.
“If I can’t prove it was a date,” he said, “then you can’t prove it wasn’t.”
The two of them watched each other for another minute until Sid licked his lips and nodded, signalling that—for once—he agreed to disagree.
“Alright,” he said, looking around the room. Jungkook did not feel relief. He felt tension. “I see how it is. How about we adjust the conditions of the bet, then?”
Even though he was sure he didn’t want to know, Jungkook still asked, “what does that mean?”
“If you manage to get back together with her,” Sid proposed, “we’ll all pay you $5000 each.”
Just as Jungkook lifted his eyebrows, Minjun furrowed his, declaring right away, “don’t include me in your shit.”
“Fine,” Sid agreed. Then clarified to Jungkook, “Jude and I will pay you $5000 each.”
It took Jude a moment to react, and he, too, tried to back out of this. “I don’t think I—”
“You were in the original bet,” Sid said, shooting a warning look his way, “you can’t get out now.”
Jude wasn’t very pleased with having to go through this again—even if the first bet didn’t, technically, cost him anything. He relented, though, because he always did, “fine, you bitch.”
Sid looked back at Jungkook, waiting for his response.
Aware of the predicament that he’d found himself in—or, rather, that Sid had manipulated him in—Jungkook crossed his arms on his chest and took his time before speaking up.
“And if I disagree?” he asked.
“Well, you have two options here,” Sid said, “either you give the keys to me because you lost the previous bet, or you hand the keys over to Minjun, our impartial referee, while I wait for you to lose this updated bet.”
Minjun rolled his eyes again, annoyed that he still couldn’t escape being involved in Sid’s game.
Jungkook, on the other hand, needed another minute. He’d definitely prefer to give Minjun the keys—just because he knew Minjun might give them back to him.
“So, just to be clear,” Jungkook started slowly, “you’re saying that if I get back together with her, I’m keeping the Katana and getting 10K?”
“Yes,” Sid confirmed. “And if you don’t, the bike’s ours. We’ll find good use for it. How does that sound?”
Like signing your soul over for the devil, that’s how it sounded.
Jungkook shook his head. A date was a date, he thought you would find a way to let that slide if you accidentally found out. But his relationship with you wasn’t for sale.
“I don’t think so,” he said.
Sid took it well, merely shrugging as he extended his hand, palm up. “Well, then hand over the keys.”
Agitated again, Jungkook smacked his palm against Sid’s. “Get out of here. I’m not fucking—”
“You lost the bet,” Sid repeated, enunciating each word so loudly, it cut Jungkook off. “The Katana is fucking mine, I’m just generous enough to give you another chance to win it back.”
“It’s not fucking yours.”
“He’s right,” Jude spoke up again—very unhappy that he was only remembered when the topic turned to him paying. “It’s technically ours.”
“It’s mine,” Jungkook said, taking a moment to look at both, Sid and Jude, as he repeated, “I didn’t lose.”
“Then you have no choice,” Sid concluded. “The bet is ongoing.”
“How is it ongoing?” he argued. “It’s one thing to go on a date—”
“Which you didn’t,” Sid interjected.
“—which I did,” Jungkook countered, his eyes burning with a flame so angry, it was almost a miracle Sid didn’t immediately catch fire. “But you’re suggesting a completely different thing now. Starting a relationship is not the same. Especially if it’s a relationship with someone you already dated before.”
“I know,” Sid said, seemingly unbothered. Jungkook wondered why, because his friend didn’t look pleased, either. He didn’t look like he’d tricked him, like he knew he’d win for sure.
Clearly then, Sid had to think that the odds of winning this bet were, more or less, equal for both of them. That had to mean that a part of him believed that Jungkook could really get back together with you.
Consequently, Jungkook realised that Sid wasn’t, really, suggesting anything at all. He was simply telling him that this was how it was going to be from now on.
“I can’t do that just randomly,” he said. “I can’t just approach her and ask her this. It’s—”
“Two weeks,” Sid said. “That enough for you?”
Jungkook swallowed.
Even though he wanted this, he knew that attempting to get back together with you now could jeopardize everything that you’ve done in the past two years as Rated Riot’s manager. Jungkook didn’t think he wanted to burn down the same bridges that the two of you had built back from the ground up.
That being said, there was a glimmer of hope—very obscure, barely there, not even visible, really, just faintly humming somewhere about his chest—that you would get back together, and his reward wouldn’t just be $10 000.
It’d also be a future with you; the very same one that he could sense in Paris.
He knew he didn’t need a bet to bring this future to the present. If anything, the bet might hinder the progress of your relationship. But if there was a possibility that he’d get everything: you, his bike, and the defeat of Sid; if there was a possibility that, for once, the idiot would lose and all of his shit-talking would come back to make him miserable… Jungkook was on the edge of considering it.
Smirking as the younger boy bit his lip in anxious contemplation, Sid looked at the other two guys in the room and announced cheerfully, “you’re actually doubting this!”
“I’m not doubting the time frame,” Jungkook said. “I’m doubting if you’ll keep your end of the deal since you’re very much fucking me over right now.”
Sid rolled his eyes.
“We can write the conditions down and have Minjun stamp it if that makes you feel better,” he said.
Minjun—the designated lawyer, apparently—groaned, but did not audibly object. This wasn’t a conversation involving him—it barely involved Jude, who was, technically, part of the bet—so he stood back and watched the face-off on the sidelines.
“Stamp it with what?” Jungkook asked, finding this excessive. “Our blood?”
“Anything that makes you feel better.”
Jungkook brought his tongue over his teeth as he thought this over.
He couldn’t do this.
But how could he not? If he gave his bike up now, if he dropped out of the bet, Sid would be free to find you and tell you about it—acting like he didn’t mean it. Like he was just showing off the bike that Jungkook gave him, and the bet simply came up. And then, not only would Jungkook lose his Katana, but he’d definitely lose you, too.
No, he had to be the one who told you about this in hopes that, once your initial anger faded, you would cooperate with him. Not for the Katana, but to make Sid fail. And maybe that could be what brought you together, what made you stay together even after the bet ended.
It’s the only way he could win.
Sighing, he asked. “What are the conditions?”
“First of all,” Sid started—glancing at Minjun who pulled his phone out to write it down. iPhones seemed more formal than bar napkins and Jungkook bit his lip, realising this was serious as Sid dictated the rules, “you both have to be aware that you’re back together.”
“That’s already a given.”
“Not with you it isn’t, you sneaky shit,” Sid disagreed, the seemingly innocent smile on his face concealing his anger about not having gotten his way with the first bet.
“Fine,” Jungkook agreed and immediately offered his own condition, “then you can’t talk to her about the bet or attempt to ruin this for me. Just sit back and wait until it’s over.”
Sid considered this. “Alright. But you can’t tell her anything, either. If I find out that the two of you plotted against me, the deal’s off and the bike is mine.”
Jungkook was the one who needed a minute this time.
Obviously, Sid had single-handedly ruined a plan that, Jungkook now realised, wasn’t very well-developed to begin with. But Sid’s satisfied mug pushed him to clench his jaw and agree anyway.
“Fine,” he settled. “I won’t tell her anything.”
It could still be okay, he hoped. He would just have to find a different way.
Perhaps, he thought suddenly, he could drag this out long enough that Sid would forget about it. Even two weeks could be plenty if enough happened to distract him—or if Jungkook stopped talking about it altogether.
Both boys looked over at Minjun, who typed for two more seconds, then looked up at each of them and nodded.
“The keys,” Sid reminded Jungkook.
Groaning, he pulled them out and passed them over to Minjun who had the decency to look apologetic as he took them from him.
“So,” Sid continued then, grinning mischievously as he extended his hand. “Do we shake on it?”
Jungkook knew he had a big head when it came to talking about this, but he also knew that actually making this happen would be a true challenge. He wasn’t sure if he could do this. He was sure he didn’t want to do this.
But if he succeeded—fuck—he’d get you back. There was hardly anything else in this world he would still want. Maybe a nice meal every now and then, but he’d make do with dry ramen noodles until the end of his days if he had to.
Fuck.
He liked his odds; the date at Kihyun’s wedding went well, after all. But Jungkook could also recall—very vividly—you telling him that you didn’t believe in second chances. Not to mention, you’d been very explicit when you’d asked him not to lie to you again.
Fuck.
“You’re sure taking your sweet time,” Sid teased, his hand still hanging in the air. “Not so sure of yourself anymore?”
It had to get worse before it got better, Jungkook told himself.
He had to agree to this, first of all, to find a way out. Then, he had to win to turn this bet into a distant memory with minimal consequences, to make it almost like it never even happened before—without you knowing, without him losing his bike, without Sid fucking winning.
And, most importantly, through this, he had to find his way back to you.
“Oh, I’m sure,” he lied—he did it well and he could tell, based on the way Sid narrowed his eyes when Jungkook’s palm touched his. “You’re fucking pitiful. But I’m still going to win this.”

Jungkook was worried he’d have a hard time performing after agreeing to the bet, but the concert in Berlin, surprisingly, worked as a distraction.
He sensed the irony: once, he’d used the bet to distract him from the anxiety of the tour. Now he had to perform in order to distract himself from the bet.
Still, once the show finished, Minjun saw the vacancy behind Jungkook’s eyes, and it unsettled him. Wanting to take his friend’s mind off this, he suggested getting drinks once the bus arrived in Copenhagen.
Jungkook took that to assume it’d only be the two of them going out, leaving Sid and Jude to occupy themselves with something else, and he didn’t mind that at all.
But this was where unforeseen circumstances altered their plans.
While the band was having after-show drinks backstage in Berlin, the crew dismantled the stage set: several bars of batten were dropped, causing minor injuries for the staff members in charge of the deconstruction. They didn’t need medical attention, thankfully, but the equipment had been broken—decorative light fixtures with Rated Riot’s logo that were supported on the battens had shattered and the metal pipe constructions had come apart.
You were informed that it would take approximately two hours to salvage what was fixable and load the equipment back onto the buses before you could leave for Copenhagen. Naturally, you were concerned about the state of the staff—if they could even drive after this—but they assured you they were fine. Still, you insisted they rested after having reassembled the equipment and assessed the damage.
Finally, everyone settled on leaving Berlin at five or six in the morning—that gave you, at least, five more hours in the city.
While this might turn out to be a logistical challenge for you and the rest of the roadies, it was an opportunity for Minjun, who immediately pulled Jungkook outside, already looking up the closest bars.
“No time like the present,” he’d said after Jungkook questioned what happened to getting drinks in Denmark. “We grab something here, get some sleep, and then grab something else once we arrive.”
Most unfortunately, Sid and Jude also saw this as an opportunity to get drunk, and did not hesitate to invite themselves to join the other two boys.
Technically, Jungkook and Minjun didn’t even realise that they weren’t the only ones entering the bar until Sid ordered them to get a table while he and Jude went to get drinks.
They were always the ones who picked the drinks for the night, and, for the first time in his life, Jungkook felt a little concerned—Sid and Jude always, without a fail, chose the drinks with the highest alcohol concentration.
“Why do you care?” Minjun asked as the two of them settled in the booth of the bar. “You’ve only passed out drunk, maybe, three times in your whole life.”
“I haven’t slept properly in two days,” Jungkook said. “So the fourth time might be tonight. And if that happens—”
“Don’t worry. I’ll personally carry you home,” Minjun replied. “I’m not getting your girl involved.”
“What girl?” Sid asked, returning with a tray. The question was unnecessary, really; he was already grinning anyway. “Last time I checked, she wanted nothing to do with you and only went to Paris with you out of—”
“One more word about it,” Jungkook said, “and I’m leaving you stranded in Germany.”
“Sensitive,” Sid commented and sat down next to him while Jude climbed into the booth next to Minjun. “Alright. Let’s get you loosened up, you’re awfully uptight.”
Minjun noticed that whatever Jungkook prepared to respond with wasn’t going to be pretty. He wanted to avoid confrontation and pushed the highball glass towards him.
While Jungkook drank, Minjun made sure to shift the topic: staying close enough to the bet so that Sid would remain entertained, but making sure to drift away from you, so Jungkook wouldn’t be triggered, either.
“How’s the engine on your Katana?” he asked. “All good?”
The question seemed innocent enough, but Jungkook saw through this plan as he swallowed his drink. He gave his friend a look—Minjun wasn’t sure if it was grateful or just confused—as he put his glass down and wiped his mouth with the back of his palm.
“It’s fine,” he said. “The oil’s leaking, though. I still don’t know why.”
“The gasket has worn out, probably,” Jude offered right away. If he didn’t have a trust fund bigger than ideas what to do with it, he might have genuinely considered becoming a mechanic.
“It couldn’t have,” Jungkook said. “I just changed it.”
“Did you change all the plugs, too?” Sid asked. He could tell from the look in Jungkook’s eyes as he took another sip instead of answering that he hadn’t. “You don’t know how to take care of it properly. I told you that you should have let me look at it. It’s why I’m going to be—”
“You break everything you touch,” Jude accused before Sid could elaborate further. “Let me take a look at it when we get back.”
Jungkook’s three friends – although significantly wealthier than he was – had always had a soft spot for anything that had wheels. It started out with tuning their bikes when they were fifteen and turned into purchasing their own vehicles when they got older: which meant Sid, Jude, and Minjun getting their first cars at seventeen, and Jungkook purchasing his Katana as soon as he made enough money for it. Minjun had known this when he asked the question that started the conversation.
And so, for the next hour and a half, the four of them immersed themselves in a discussion about Jungkook’s Katana, Sid’s vast collection of chevies (nevermind that he’d inherited the first Chevrolet from his grandfather, and the rest were gifted to him by his parents), and Jude’s latest hobby: restoring his 2002 Nissan Skyline after he’d wrecked it drag-racing.
“See, I knew no one should let you drive,” Sid said—he’d already had five drinks at that point and was, therefore, rocking gently in his seat.
“You’re one to fucking talk” Jude heated up, equally as drunk. “You can’t tell the wheel from your ass.”
Jungkook snickered as he sipped his drink.
Minjun took over the argument, “you’re both shit, actually. As far as I remember, Jungkook and I won most of our races. But I was driving in all of them, of course.”
Here, Jungkook raised his head, his eyebrows furrowed in offence.
“Not true,” he said indignantly. “I was driving at least once when we won.”
Minjun gave him a look. “You crashed into a wall that time.”
“We still won, though.”
“Because Sid dented someone’s fence and lost a tire a minute before you!”
“Still,” Jungkook said with a pout that he was not aware of. Then, he added a very important, “I’m not that bad of a driver.”
There was irony in Minjun’s laugh as he shook his head and began to list off the consequences of their win, “both of us had whiplash. The car was totalled. Your girlfriend nearly left you.”
Jungkook put his glass down with more force than intended—any mention of you sent a signal into his subconsciousness, as it seemed. “Okay, that’s—that’s a different thing.”
“How is that a different thing?” Minjun did not relent. “You’d even named the car after her.”
“Are you implying I crashed it because I’d named it after her?”
“I’m saying if you can’t drive a car you named after your girl, then how can you—”
“You know what?” Sid cut in, growing bored. He pulled his phone out and nearly dropped it as he smacked his elbow into the edge of the table. Hissing in pain, he lifted his phone off the settee and clutched his arm, “fucking shit. God. We need a new race to settle it. You and Minjun wouldn’t be on the same team for once. You think we could rent out cars here?”
He was already browsing on his phone when Minjun snorted. “Definitely not at four in the morning.”
“We could do it tomorrow,” Jude suggested. Sid nodded right away. Jude pointed his glass at his friend’s phone and said, “look up rental places in Denmark.”
If Jungkook wasn’t so tired—and the two Manhattans he’d consumed didn’t help, either—he would have been surprised that Jude knew his European countries well enough to recognize Copenhagen as the capital of Denmark. Instead, he pulled his own phone out of his pocket.
“Actually,” he said then. “Maybe we should go. The bar closes soon, and we have to get back to the bus.”
Sid lifted his eyebrows and looked at his friends for support—Jude was already gathering his belongings, and Minjun was already halfway out of the booth, too.
“Wow,” Sid said, despite being the only one who had a problem with Jungkook’s statement. “What’d she do to you? You’re no fun.”
“I agree with him,” Minjun cut in before Jungkook could say—or throw, as he clutched his empty glass—anything else. “We should go.”
Rolling his eyes and grunting about how boring everyone had gotten in Europe, Sid pushed past them to exit the booth and headed to the bathroom before they left. Minjun made him swear not to drink anything else on his way back, and the rest of the boys went outside to wait.
Meanwhile, you had been busy helping the roadies out—before they politely escorted you outside, claiming that they were stressed out by the endless phone calls you were getting from the label after they heard of the problems with the stage set—so you hadn’t seen Jungkook leave with his friends.
But Maggie—friend, tour photographer, social drinker with an alcohol tolerance that could have knocked Jungkook out—had spotted them. And it gave her a wonderful idea the second she saw you lingering by the exit of the venue.
“Since we’re stuck in Berlin,” she had announced to you, “let’s do something with it.”
It had sounded like a suggestion only for a second—immediately after she said it, she grabbed your hand and pulled you after herself to find Luna. It wouldn’t have been a proper night out if the three of you weren’t together.
Not many bars were still open at nearly four in the morning, but Maggie seemed to have a radar—the three of you were in a booth at the very back of some half-deserted pub before the remaining 20% of your phone battery could run out.
“I don’t think I should have left, to be honest,” you said, your hand hesitating around the cocktail glass that Maggie had ordered for you as soon as you walked inside. “We were having kind of a crisis back there.”
“You weren’t doing anything,” Maggie replied. She was sitting next to you and leaned over to pat your back in a comforting manner as she admitted, “I overheard Otto call Seokjin to come pick you up and get you out of there.”
Otto was one of the roadies and Seokjin’s right hand backstage. You didn’t know he initiated your removal from the venue, and you didn’t particularly like being excluded when you thought you could have been helpful. Clearly, the stage management team thought otherwise.
“I’m with Maggie,” Luna said; she knew you’d expect her to back you up, so she spoke before you could. “If something happens, you can still go back. A few drinks won’t hurt.”
“Yeah, and besides,” Maggie raised her glass, “if the boys get to drink, we should, too.”
The two girls laughed at this, clinking their glasses—it seemed like an appropriate toast—but you needed another minute in your managerial role before you could fully detach yourself.
“What do you mean?” you asked. “Who’s drinking?”
You directed your attention at Luna—your gaze inquiring about her boyfriend’s whereabouts—and she swallowed her drink before speaking. “I don’t know. Taehyung is asleep on the bus.”
“It’s Jungkook,” Maggie answered you. “I saw him leave with his friends.”
You closed your eyes, realising that you should have expected this.
Everything seemed to have been decided for you – you weren’t required back at the venue and you couldn’t, exactly, stumble around the streets of Berlin in search of Jungkook and his friends, either.
If anything, you were required here as your friends watched you expectantly.
They were right, really. A few drinks weren’t going to be a problem if you’d get a call (that is, if your phone wouldn’t die until then). And you were tired, anyway—to the point where sleep evaded you sometimes, just because you craved it so much. Alcohol might even help in this case.
However, as soon as you finally tasted the cocktail in your glass, you heard someone clear their throat behind you. You glanced at your friends first—they were either lifting their eyebrows (in Maggie’s case) or rolling their eyes (in Luna’s)—then you swallowed and turned around.
“What a coincidence!” Sid exclaimed when your eyes met.
A part of you—a dark impulse that you didn’t try particularly hard to control—wanted to toss your remaining drink right at him; like holy water at a possessed child. Begone, demon.
Before you could react, however, Jungkook rushed into the bar from outside. You merely had enough time to grasp what was happening—the bar that Maggie had picked happened to be the same one that Jungkook and his friends had been drinking in—before Jungkook pulled on Sid’s shoulder, forcefully dragging him away from you.
“He was just leaving,” he said briskly.
Sid tried to resist, but Jungkook had more strength—and far more determination. “I wasn’t. I’m actually—”
“He’s leaving,” Jungkook repeated with a strictness in his voice that you weren’t sure you’d heard before.
“What are you even doing here?” Sid whined at his friend as he was tossed to a side that was furthest away from you. “I thought you were waiting outside.”
“You took too long,” Jungkook mumbled. “Go.”
Sid groaned, but allowed the younger boy to literally drag him away. Once Minjun was close enough, he took over and grabbed the side of Sid’s jacket, pushing him through the door of the bar.
Jungkook looked back at you and gave you a small nod—as though encouraging you to stay with your friends instead of going after him to check up on him. You nodded back, thus allowing him to walk outside after Sid.
Jungkook was fuming.
Things had been going well tonight; he’d actually had a nice night with his friends and even forgot that these were the same people who pushed him into this bet.
But then he was forced to watch—in horror—as Sid approached you back at the bar, and he remembered everything.
So, while Sid pushed Minjun off of himself, Jungkook snarled, “I thought it was clear that you can’t fucking talk to her.”
Sid only shrugged and pulled out a cigarette from a pack inside his jacket pocket. “I just went over to say hi.”
“Don’t.”
Sid rolled his eyes. “I wasn’t going to mention the bet,” he spoke and offered cigarettes to Jude and Minjun first, then to Jungkook. All three of them took one each. Sid lit his up and continued, “you can’t forbid me from talking to her altogether.”
“Actually, I can,” Jungkook replied, still irritated that he hadn’t been there—once again—to stop Sid from approaching you. “And that’s exactly what I’m doing now.”
Despite the argument, Jungkook took Sid’s lighter when he offered it to him. In doing so, he realised that the paradox of this situation summarised their friendship fairly well. It had always been like this between him and Sid: constantly bantering and arguing, but staying friends, nevertheless.
“Why?” Sid asked with a grin, perpetually amused by Jungkook’s protectiveness. He blew smoke out and asked, “scared I’ll steal her from you?”
Jude and Minjun snorted in unison. The mocking sound took Sid’s attention off Jungkook as he glowered at them.
“You’re drunker than I thought,” Minjun commented, bolder than Jude was under Sid’s glare.
“What is that supposed to mean?” Sid challenged. “You all know I’m one of a fucking kind.”
Now Jude and Minjun were nearly howling with laughter, and even Jungkook couldn’t resist smirking. Meanwhile, Sid’s frown deepened. He liked to tease others; he didn’t like to be teased—never mind that he was setting himself up for mockery.
“You’re not shit,” Jude retorted, too drunk to come up with a wittier comeback. “She would never go for you.”
“No, he had a point,” Jungkook said. “She’s never hated anyone for as long as I’ve known her. Except for him.” He turned to Sid with a derisive grin. “So, you really are one of a kind.”
“Oh, I see,” Sid laughed humourlessly. He took another drag and then said to Jungkook—not even blinking as he watched him, “tonight was fun. But it’s going to get even better once you lose the bet.”
Jungkook remained apathetic as he removed the cigarette from his lips. “I won’t.”
“You will,” Sid insisted. His intense staring was an intimidation tactic that Jungkook had already grown accustomed to. He did not twitch or back away when Sid leaned in closer. “And you know why? Because you’re in love with her.”
This time, he wasn’t going to argue otherwise. Sid had used this as a weapon, he meant to ridicule him with it. But Jungkook—in this tipsy and tired state—realised that his self-esteem didn’t depend on whether his friends thought he still loved you or not.
Before, he had been eager to show them that he didn’t care about you—he thought that was the only way he could prove that his friends weren’t significantly better than him just because they weren’t in love with anyone.
Now he was going to show them that he did care about you, and caring still didn’t make him inferior.
“This might be disappointing to you,” Jungkook retorted, “but I can be in love with her and still make you lose.”
“See,” Sid said, grinning because this confession was precisely what he was coaxing out of Jungkook. And it was precisely the reason why Sid thought Jungkook would never win against him—be it a bet, or just in life in general. “But I don’t think you can.”
“Sit back and watch me, then,” Jungkook replied, blowing smoke out in Sid’s face. He pulled back immediately and the dissatisfied frown on his face was, simply put, beautiful.
Tumblr media
Back inside, the girls chose to avoid discussing what had just happened with you. They had their reasons for changing the topic, too: Maggie had a policy against all boys who dared to interrupt your girls’ night, and Luna simply knew that if you continued to talk about this, you’d be more tempted to go out and check if Jungkook wasn’t getting into trouble.
But not even ten minutes later—just when you’d finished your second glass—Jungkook himself unexpectedly returned to the bar. You’d noticed him from across the room, and the second your eyes met, he made a beeline for you.
“Sorry about that before,” he said to everyone at your table, nodding apologetically at Luna and Maggie. “I, um, wanted to let you know that I’m going to be heading back. The bus is about to leave, right?”
Still surprised by his sudden reappearance, you were slow to pick your phone up. The battery had finally given in; you couldn’t tell what time it was. Both girls noticed this and were about to pull their own electronics out, but Jungkook reacted first.
“It’s four-thirty,” he said helpfully. “The bar is closing soon.”
“Oh.” You nodded. “Yeah. The bus is leaving in an hour, probably. Where’s the rest of your posse?”
“They already left,” he said without a further comment. Instead, he asked, “actually, can I talk to you for a second before I go?”
You looked back at your friends—both of them gave you permissive nods with grins that might’ve made the Cheshire Cat run away in shame.
“Sure,” you told Jungkook and turned your head away from your friends as if you could pretend you hadn’t seen their teasing smiles—that only made them giggle more.
The two of you walked towards the nearly empty bar—reasonable people were asleep this early in the morning—which wasn’t very far from your booth, but you figured the music played loud enough to drown your conversation out.
“So, um,” Jungkook began slowly—awkwardly—as he leaned his elbow against the bar top. “How are you feeling after the trip and… everything?”
There was something endearing about the uncertainty with which he’d asked you this. Pursing your lips lightly to hide your smile, you said, “it should be me asking you that.”
“It’s not. I’m the one asking,” he said so matter-of-factly that your smile only widened. He added, “I’m fine anyway.”
“I’m okay, too,” you said. “Tired to the point of taking a nap right on this bar, but other than that, I’m fine.”
He glanced at the bar after you’d mentioned it—as if assessing if it’d be a comfortable enough place to sleep on.
“Will you, um—will you be okay going back?” he asked then.
Your smile was plain and obvious now; hiding it required too much effort. Maybe the drinks Maggie got you were laced with something.
“It should be me asking you that, too,” you said.
“I’ll be perfect,” he replied, waving his hand around dismissively. “But I can, uh, stay back,” he looked at your friends over his shoulder—you noticed them both turn away, having been caught staring. “But I don’t want to interrupt.”
“Oh, yeah, no,” you agreed, your eyes still locked on the girls. “Maggie has a strict no-boys rule.”
You weren’t sure if she heard you or if her sudden snickering was unrelated to your comment.
“Oh?” this seemed to pique his interest. “Are you going to get in trouble now?”
“Probably,” you said casually enough. Trouble with Maggie usually meant more drinks, so you weren’t particularly worried. “She might already have a penalty for me.”
Despite you making it sound like this wasn’t the first time a boy interrupted your girls’ night to talk to you, Jungkook felt himself smile—he was the boy you’d broken Maggie’s rule for tonight.
“Because of me?” he still asked, a noticeable sense of entitlement behind his words.
“Don’t get excited.”
He snorted. “What’s the penalty? I’ll do it for you.”
“I’ll do it myself,” you said with a sigh as you extended your hands and laid your head on the bartop. “But some other night. I’m shutting down now.” You noticed the flash of concern in his eyes after you’d said that and added, “I’ll be fine. We’ll be heading back soon anyway. Get back to your friends.”
Your last sentence made him pause.
“That’s—” he stopped for another moment to mentally rewind through all the years that he’s known you. “That’s probably the first time you said that.”
You shrugged, having just enough energy to tease, “I trust Minjun.”
“Minju—but not me?” he questioned, offended.
“I’m working on it.”
“Well, how do I speed that up, then?”
“You can’t.”
He watched you for a minute, analysing your face for a possible option. He offered, “another trip to Paris?”
You knew he was joking, but you still grunted in refusal—that only made his teasing smirk widen.
“That’ll do the opposite,” you said. “I’m not going off-tour again. Look what happened tonight.”
You weren’t completely serious, but you couldn’t help but still feel uncomfortable that you had the leisure to travel Europe and drink with your friends, while the rest of the staff had to struggle with a stage set that was, apparently, falling apart.
Jungkook wasn’t sure if you genuinely blamed yourself or if this was just an illustrative exaggeration—your tired face was hard to read.
“Our trip to Paris is unrelated to what happened with the stage tonight,” he assured you in any case.
“Related or not,” you said and yawned mid-word, “now I can’t get proper sleep.”
His reaction was immediate—with one hand on your palm that you’d rested on the bar top, and another one on your waist, he encouraged, “come on, then. I’ll take you back to the bus. Let’s sleep.”
You were tempted—not just because his touch was warm and soft, but also because the thought of sleep seemed so satisfying right now that even the music in the bar faded into the background.
Still, you resisted, “the girls—”
“We’re fine!” Luna hollered; her glass raised. She was already tipsy and, obviously, had been waiting for an opening to give you permission to leave. “Maggie and I are going to stay back a while.”
You lifted your head to look at your friends again and caught them both smirking at you. They had seemingly overheard the entirety of your conversation, never mind the music.
“The bar closes in half an hour,” you reminded them with a frown. Jungkook’s hands were still on you—more supportive than before as soon as he felt the gentle sway of your tired body.
“We’ll find a way to keep ourselves busy until it’s time to leave,” Maggie added—which surprised you. Normally, it was the three of you against anyone who dared to interrupt your night. “You two can go ahead.”
You turned to Jungkook, who nodded at the door and seemed to make this decision for you. You really needed that today and you were quite unashamed about it; if anything, you appreciated everyone else deciding what you’d do for once.
You stood up properly and took a step away from him—he had to let go and did so reluctantly—to pick up your phone and your handbag from the booth. Your friends watched you, beaming, and you caught yourself before you began to smile, too.
Then, you allowed Jungkook to take you back to the bus.
It wasn’t a long walk, but you felt too drained to even take your shoes off when you got back. Plugging your phone in to charge, you laid down on your bunk, still in your clothes, and looked over at Jungkook.
Stubbornly, he refused to go to sleep until he was sure you were settled, so he was leaning against the partition wall between the opposite row of bunks.
“I’m still waiting until my phone will charge some,” you said, trying to make him reconsider. You paused to yawn again, then explained, “so I can check on the rest of our staff.”
“I’ll wait with you, then,” he said.
“No,” your firm voice got him to stop unexpectedly—he was already approaching you. “You hadn’t gotten any sleep, either. And you performed a whole gig tonight. Go to sleep.”
He resumed his journey and took a seat next to you on your bunk. “I’ll wait.”
You rolled over on your back to look at him. “You literally don’t have to do that.”
“And I’ll do it anyway.”
You exhaled, far too tired to argue about this. Your eyes could barely stay open enough to make sure he really was sitting on your bunk, and you hadn’t just dreamt him—the possibility wasn’t far-fetched, after all. It’s happened before.
“You shouldn’t,” you said softly, your eyes fluttering shut.
“I’m an adult, right? You said so,” he reminded you. You were worried that your words at the wedding would come back to bite you. “So, I can stay up waiting with you if I want.”
You sighed in response, your mind refusing to think of any more arguments or questions about why he found it necessary to bother waiting with you.
Satisfied, Jungkook scooted deeper into your bunk and crossed his legs, getting more comfortable.
He did as he’d promised—waited with you until your phone charged enough to make a phone call. Then he brought you water, because you called Seokjin and couldn’t say a word, your throat too dry to speak.
And then, half an hour later, when you were already asleep and he was sure you wouldn’t remember, he pulled your duvet over your body—so you wouldn’t get cold—and pressed a soft, tentative kiss to your forehead—so he wouldn’t, either.

A Note for New Writers
When I started this blog, one of my goals was to compile advice that I hadn’t really seen online anywhere. Stuff a little bit beyond the foundations I was already very familiar with. I took university courses and different approaches to writing combined with my own experience and lessons from the mentors and teachers around me, and began to write it all down to share with you.
The idea was never that you would start writing your first character with Character is Plot say. However, I noticed there are a lot of new, beginner, or learning writers on here, and there’s a great value in really nailing the foundations, so here marks the start of a short series of foundational advice for you new writers (or for writers who have been around the block and may need a refresher. I know I do!)
I see a lot of new writers in the tags looking down on yourselves or your ability. Stuff like, ‘why can’t I seem to do this’ or ‘if only I could actually follow this advice’. My posts were never meant to make you feel like you aren’t good enough. It was written with over a decade of experience behind it. It takes time to build those instincts in knowing what to do. Unfortunately you can’t just build writing skill by reading and collecting articles—they can be a guide, but they aren’t meant to instantly come naturally to you “if only you were a good writer.”
No one can automatically learn how to write just from reading some advice because writing skill isn’t about the knowing, it’s about the practicing.
And it takes a hell of a lot of practice.
Writing is mostly intuition—we practice certain skills to get them to a place where we can just do them without really thinking about it. It’s kind of like when you were learning to type, and you had to constantly remind yourself to put periods at the ends of your sentences. Then, over time and a million reminders, you started to just do it on instinct without really thinking about it.
It’s muscle memory, it’s trying again and again, it’s a lot of struggling and tears and feedback and more tears and a million and one false starts and unfinished drafts and finished drafts that are really bad and lost contests and rejections. I have been through it all. I’m still going through it all. Only recently have I been published—it took me over a decade of practice to get there. Oh, and in the same month one of my pieces was published, another was rejected.
That’s how it goes. It’s not some switch that will one day flick where you’re ‘good enough’. And the timeline isn’t so set. While I was working on building up skill, I was also working on building up confidence. In the right publications, with enough confidence, I probably could’ve been published years ago. In the right place, and if you’re brave enough to submit, you probably could too.
It’s about who sees it, very rarely does it really depend on how ‘good’ it is (and you can tell from all the published work that can’t possibly be better than your unpublished work, right?)
TL;DR, writing isn’t about the knowing, it’s about time, patience, and practice. If you’re reading advice and don’t feel good enough to execute on it, just take a little bit more time and get a hundred thousand more words under your belt. One day, it will just become intuition.
You will get there.

I wish you a happy birthday, hopefully you get celebrated the way you deserve to be! :)
I'm currently sick in bed but wanted to write something spicy for you, let me know if you liked it.
All the best <3
************************************************************************
A birthday to remember
Tumblr media
Hyunjin had frowned three years in a row as he had watched you unravel your birthday presents in an unimpressed manner.
No matter how hard he tried, he could never get it right. Sure, you were grateful about all the things he got you, but he knew you well enough to understand that you were smiling out of politeness, rather than pure and utter joy.
Your boyfriend knew you like the back of his hands; he was more than acquainted with the way you threw your head back and tried to hide the little creases that formed next to your eyes when you were laughing wholeheartedly. He was familiar with how your eyes shined brightly or how your whole body vibrated with energy when you were deeply happy.
Unfortunately, his birthday presents had never gotten that reaction out of you.
This time however, he vowed to find the right gift for you. The perfect present that would sweep you off your feet.
That was his plan at least.
It was a late night at the company office and Hyunjin was dancing with his band mates, practicing for the upcoming tour. He messed up a lot of steps as his mind was too occupied with you. In his bag was a very expensive piece of jewelry, one that he had handcrafted himself, but he was still bothered by the thought of you not liking it.
He took a glance at the clock on the wall - it was nearly midnight which meant it was your birthday in a couple of minutes.
„Guys, let’s stop for tonight.“
Chan shut off the music and replied to some mails on his laptop while the others got up and left.
„Oh hey, y/n.“, Felix greeted cheerily on his way out.
Hyunjin shot up panicked, looking at you frantically.
„Babe, what are you doing here?“
You entered the practice room and shut the door behind you, laughing shyly.
„Always happy to see you, too, my lovely boyfriend.“
You stuck out your tongue and walked towards him, hugging him tightly.
„Babe, I’m all sweaty. And besides, didn’t we agree to spend your birthday starting tomorrow morning? I had it all planned out…“, he whined.
You chuckled as you kissed his adorable pout, reassuring him.
„I couldn’t stand away from you, Jinnie. Are you mad?“
„Of course not, baby.“, he mumbled while kissing you.
Your make-out session got interrupted by Chan who was clearing his throat.
„Y/N, hi. Always great to see you. Listen, Hyunjin promised to help me out with my workout since Changbin had already left. Can I borrow him for a second?“
You shrugged your shoulders and took a seat on the couch.
„Be my guest, Chan.“
Chan got on his back and started working on his abs while Hyunjin was monitoring his movements.
You were so entranced by watching them, Chan in particular. You always had a soft spot for him - sometimes even fantasizing about being fucked by him. You were in love with Hyunjin, oh you absolutely were, but sometimes you couldn’t help but lust after Chan’s broad shoulders and fantasize about licking his abs.
Sweat was building on his temples as he was working hard.
Suddenly, you felt hot, licking your lips, and imagining what it would be like to be trapped underneath him with his sweat dropping on to you. Your gaze switched to your boyfriend who was holding him in place firmly and suddenly you imagined being trapped between both of them, held in place by one while the other was fucking you into oblivion.
You squeezed your legs, totally unaware of the fact that Hyunjin was watching you through the mirror.
He on the other hand smirked smugly, suddenly realizing what would make the perfect birthday present for you.
„Hyung, can you do the rest by yourself? There’s something I have to do.“, Hyunjin whispered.
„Eh? Oh sure, go ahead.“
Hyunjin got up and walked over to you, grabbing you by your wrist and ushering you out of the room.
„Where are we going?“
„Shut up and follow me.“, he hissed at you.
The heat in your body started to rise, spreading through every cell of your being.
Hyunjin was the most romantic and caring man you had ever dated unless it came to sex - he was an absolute asshole when it came to sex.
And you loved it.
He was degrading, he was mean, he was everything that would make you cry under normal circumstances but being treated like that while he had his dick shoved into you?
Priceless.
He pushed you into the shower room, closing the door behind him. You stood still and waited for his command, automatically falling into the role of the submissive one.
He walked over to the other side of the room and leaned against the cold sink while watching you.
„Take it all off.“, he said sternly.
You started undressing, silently slipping out of the flower dress you were wearing. You stood before him in nothing but red lingerie.
„I said take it all off.“, he hissed annoyed.
Your fingers went behind your back and unclasped your bra, throwing it in the next corner while looking at him obediently.
Hyunjin watched you with eyes that were filled with darkness and desire, while you were slipping your fingers into your lacy panties, sliding them off.
He uncrossed his arms and propped himself on the sink, taking you all in. Even though it was your birthday he felt like the luckiest guy on the planet.
„Come here.“, he commanded.
You made your way over to him, excited about what was to come.
„Get on your knees.“
You did as he said and kneeled before him, suddenly painfully aware of the cold surroundings. Instinctively, you fumbled with his pants, but he slapped away your hand.
„Did I say you could?“
You shook your head in shame. Hyunjin grabbed your chin forcefully and tilted your head, looking into your eyes strongly.
„Listen, brat. Did I say you could?“
„No...No…“, you stuttered.
„No what?“
„No, Mr. Hwang.“, you replied hastily.
Hyunjin let go of you, slightly content as he watched you cowering in front of him.
„Now, tell me what you want.“
„I want you.“, you whispered silently.
Hyunjin walked behind you and tied your silky hair into a ponytail while repeating his question.
„Couldn’t hear you.“, he whispered into your ear.
„I want you.“, you said proudly.
He yanked your hair back, pulling at your ponytail.
„I want you what?“
„I want you, Mr. Hwang. I want you, Mr. Hwang, sir.“, you explained hastily.
He let go of you as he cooed into your ear.
„Good girl.“
He had not even started yet, and you felt yourself leaking already.
Hyunjin went back to the sink and positioned himself in front of you. He pulled down his pants, giving away his enormous erection.
You gasped at the sight - he still had the same effect on you.
„Tell me what you want to do to me. Now.“, he commanded sternly.
You gulped, trying to hold yourself back.
„Touch you. Kiss your cock. Lick it. Suck on it. Make you cum. On me. In me. Swallow it all. I really want to, Mr. Hwang.“
You looked up at him shyly, waiting for his sign to proceed. However, you didn’t notice his green light as you were admiring his ethereal beauty. God, he was beyond beautiful. Your hands wandered to his shaft greedily, tracing along the veins of his cock. Silver pre-cum was glistening on his tip, getting all your attention. You felt his hand slap your cheek as you were about to suck him off.
You shot back, touching the reddened, tingling area.
„Did I say you could?“
You shook your head hastily.
„No. No, you didn’t. I am sorry, Mr. Hwang.“
He smirked devilishly.
„Oh, you will be, baby. You will be.“
You approached him again, placing your hands flat on his thighs.
„May I suck you off, Mr. Hwang?“
You could have sworn his dick got harder hearing you talk like that. His eyes were piercing through you by now.
„You really want to, huh?“
„Yes, Mr. Hwang. Please let me be good for you.“, you begged silently.
„Fine. Be a good girl then.“
Your eyes sparkled at his approval while your lips got to work immediately.
You moaned the sweetest moans while you swallowed him all, he was as tasty as he was gorgeous. Hyunjin knew that he could use you as he pleased, so he did just that.
„Let me fuck your throat, baby.“
He pushed himself into you, harder and faster, which made you whimper and nearly choke on his dick. You were looking at him with tears in your eyes, loving every second of it.
He was breathing heavily while fucking your mouth, the vein on his forehead already popping out.
„That’s right, baby. Take me like the dirty slut you are. Take all of me.“
It didn’t take long for you to feel the warmth in your throat, tasting his savory cum on your tongue.
You closed your eyes in enjoyment. You felt your best when he used you like that; when you were of service like that.
Hyunjin patted your head, loving you with all his heart exactly for all that you were.
Naughty and nice.
However, he wasn’t done just yet.
Chan was about to enter the shower room any minute, his workout had to be done by now. And once he entered? He would be greeted with the most perfect ass kneeling on the floor, sucking on his friend’s dick. Who could resist that?
Hyunjin smiled to himself, being utterly proud of his genius plan which would make him boyfriend of the century.
You opened your eyes again as you noticed the door behind you open. Panic flooded your system; you were kneeling butt-naked on the floor with Hyunjin’s dick in your mouth. Would you get in trouble?
“Didn’t expect to see that”, you heard Chan proclaim as he entered the shower room.
You looked up at Hyunjin with panic in your eyes, but he remained calm about it. Smug even. You tried to make sense of the situation, but he reassured you that everything was okay.
“Just enjoy it, baby”, he winked at you.
“Get up”, you heard Chan command.
You glanced one last time at Hyunjin who nodded his head, transferring control over to his hyung.
Shakily, you got on your feet and waited.
“Now turn around.”
Chan’s breath got stuck in his throat as he saw you in your rawest form. He had always thought that you were absolutely beautiful, breath-taking even but every time a thought like that entered his mind, he shut it out. He would never cross boundaries like that but on rare occasions he jerked off to the sound of you being fucked by his friend in the next room.
Chan knew that you thought about him in that way, too, as he had often caught you glaring at him while he was changing clothes or working out. He would have never assumed though that Hyunjin would share you; at least not like that.
“I heard it’s your birthday, y/n?”
You shook your head eagerly.
Chan approached you and whispered into your ear seductively.
“Tell me, baby girl, what do you want then?”
Your head was about to explode – was this really happening? His long fingers traced the soft skin on your collarbones, making his way down to your breasts. Chan circled around your nipples softly but squeezed them forcefully after as you had not replied quickly enough.
“I said what do you want, baby girl?”
“Fuck me.”, you whispered silently.
“Hmm? A bit louder, baby girl.”
“Fuck me!, you boldly proclaimed.
A warm chuckle escaped his lips, making his chest tremble in amusement. He was circling around you, eyeing you like prey.
“I see. Well, how do you want me to pleasure you then?”
He stopped right in front of you and lowered himself to get a good look at your face. Chan was observing every reaction as he asked his next questions.
“Do you want me to eat you out? Do you want me to hit it from the back? Do you want to sit on my face? Do you want to be fucked against the wall? Should I turn on the shower and make you really wet? How do you want it, baby girl?”
Hyunjin was watching with his back to the wall, holding his breath due to the immense suspense. Would you really do this?
You tilted your head up and looked into his eyes daringly.
“I want you to fuck me while I’m bent against the sink…”, you paused for a second. “While Hyunjin is watching us.”
A small gasp escaped his lips; you really wanted this.
Chan smirked and turned to Hyunjin. “Is he okay with this, though?”
You turned around slowly and looked at him beggingly.
“Is this alright, Mr. Hwang?”
God, he would let you do anything if you called him that. Hyunjin nodded, not saying a word.
Chan clapped his hands eagerly. “Let’s go then.”
He walked you over to the sink and stood behind you, admiring your backside once more.
“Mr. Hwang is a very lucky man, baby girl.”
Chan started kissing your neck and went down further, leaving wet kisses all over your body. He started out softly but got more aggressive as he continued, leaving all of you in dark marks.
Neck, shoulders, lower back, ass cheeks, thighs and even shins were marked as his.
You whimpered as his lips touched you – the slow anticipation was killing you.
“What’s that whimper, baby girl? Are you that needy?”
You nodded your head and prepped yourself on the sink; you needed him now.
With a swift motion he glided into you, making you gasp for air. Chan was big, stretching you out in ways you had never been stretched out before.
He thrusted himself into you forcefully and you couldn’t help but moan. Sounds of his hips hitting against your ass filled the room as well. The mirror above the sink was fogged, just as your mind was.
It was all too much.
The hotness in your core. The coldness of the sink. Hyunjin’s curious eyes that were watching. All your fantasies were coming true, and you had no idea how to process this.
Chan didn’t go easy on you.
The first orgasm hit you like a truck; it left you a whimpering mess.
The second orgasm shook you to your core; by now every person in the building must have heard you being deliciously fucked.
The third orgasm however took you out for good; your legs gave in, shaking uncontrollably now.
Chan held you strongly in his embrace, praising you for taking him so well.
His slender fingers collected his cum that was dripping out of you, running down your thighs. He looked at his fingers greedily and turned to Hyunjin, staring at him daringly as he was sucking his fingers. Your boyfriend was too shocked to speak though, simply watching his friend eliminating the evidence of his girl being fucked by another.
Chan turned around and kissed your neck, praising you all the way.
“What a good girl you are, y/n. I’m proud of you, baby girl. You’ll be thinking of this birthday forever, huh?”
You were too exhausted to think, less even speak and drifted off to sleep.
When you awoke you found yourself on the floor of the shower room, lovingly embraced in your boyfriend’s arms. He was gazing at you affectionately, wiping away the sweat on your forehead.
“Hi, baby”, he whispered as you finally woke up.
It took you a moment to realize that the memories of the past hour were indeed real and not some fantasies that you had made up.
“Jinnie, what was that?”, you smiled warmly.
He chuckled amused.
“Your birthday present, baby. Did you finally like it?”

Harana Preview | Jungkook
Tumblr media
harana (n.): the act of wooing someone by serenading them
→ summary:
Unwilling to settle down with you after five years of dating, Jeon Jungkook decides to break up to chase after his dreams. In the aftermath, you leave your hometown, desperate to forget your past and relearn what it means to be on your own. Two years later while on your way to work, you pass by a familiar voice singing songs about a girl he had left behind.
{or alternatively: Jungkook still sings the love songs that he wrote for you. He still means them, too.}
→ genre: busker!au, exes to lovers, fluff, angst → warnings: jimin is insane and kinda crude (he has some issues going on), jungkook is a pathetic wet bunny but he's trying his best, so much yearning, ambiguous ending??? but my god there is hope!! the humanity of it all!! → words: anticipated 10-15K → a/n: what da hell who is she... HEY SO its been a while since ive written anything longer than 2k words and i really wanted to get back into writing, if only for practice... plus this is part of my heart full of hugot series that i teased literally eons ago and i want to finish it before the year ends... pray for my sanity ( ; ω ; )
part of the “heart full of hugot” series
Tumblr media
As you struggle to pull yourself together, a familiarly loud voice rings outside the edge of your consciousness. “Hey, Y/N! Fancy seeing you here…” Jimin greets you, his usual jovial demeanor halting midway when he sees your panicked expression. He clears his throat, perplexed. “Umm… Are you alright there, girl? You’re looking a little pale.”
You do not even have the mental capacity to wonder why Park Jimin was miraculously early to his shift, nor why he seems genuinely worried for you. Rather, all you can do is wave him off and use what little time you have before the restaurant opens to steel yourself for hours of melodious torture.
“I’m fine, Park. You should get to work,” you grit out, wiping your sweaty palms on your uniform. Normally, Jimin would have teased you about the obvious wrinkles on your skirt.
“You’re not the boss of me,” Jimin huffs, always the contrarian. He thinks better of it, however, and softens his tone. “Are you feeling sick or something? You look like you just saw a ghost.”
You freeze, perhaps giving yourself away a little. “I’m fine,” you repeat.
“You know, if you refuse to elaborate, I’m going to have to retract your shower privileges,” Jimin taunts with a smirk.
You feel a migraine growing by your temple, making you wince. God, why must men be the source of all your problems?
“I’m just… a little annoyed by the busker outside the restaurant,” you eventually admit, trying to be vague. Unfortunately for you, Jimin hates beating around the bush and would never take your crap if he knows something is up.
Unable to withstand the weight of his unimpressed stare, you continue, “He was someone I used to know, that’s all.” You aren’t going to be any more specific than that, though you imagine Jimin gets the picture. You zip your lips, hoping to whoever is causing you pain that Jimin would somehow let the matter drop and leave you to your misery.
You brace yourself for his onslaught of questioning to come, and… it doesn’t happen. Instead, when you glance at Jimin, he is mysteriously stone faced. You wait for him to speak for what feels like a few minutes, but he doesn’t show any signs of wanting to tease or ridicule you. He simply watches you with a pensive expression. You can barely stop yourself from staring back at him, slack-jawed at his silence.
Of course, you aren’t just going to question your luck, or what little you have at least. So, you stay silent back and purse your lips uncomfortably.
Finally, Jimin seems to snap out of his strange reverie. He fixes you with a bizarrely sympathetic grin, patting you affectionately on the back. “I see… Well, if you ever need a drink tonight, head over to the bar for a little sip. I got you covered,” is all he says in response before sashaying away.
That was so fucking weird. You want to chase after him, perhaps beat the truth out of him. Jimin is nothing but a scheming dick, and you aren’t about to let him roam free with such sensitive information about yourself. Just as you’re about to stomp his ass (perhaps to relieve some of the building tension from your weary soul), your manager pops his head from his office door.
“Y/N! Make sure you’re logged into the booking system. There’s going to be a party of 20 coming in about an hour,” he reminds you, shooting you an apologetic look. You nod back with a sigh, swiping the booking tablet from the hostess desk and scrolling through the logs. Sure enough, it is going to be a busy night despite being a Monday evening. Perhaps a little busier than usual, in fact.
Whatever. You will use whatever distraction you can get, and perhaps the approaching noise from the restaurant patrons will be enough to drown out the sound of his voice.
You aren’t religious by any means, but you pray to whatever higher power exists that Jeon Jungkook doesn’t somehow decide to enter the restaurant. Stay outside, you plead. Outside the restaurant and your life, if possible.
Throughout the evening, you do your best to push aside the memories that threaten to resurface. You greet customers with a smile, lead them to their tables, and ensure their dining experience is pleasant despite the anxiety poisoning your insides. It's a routine you've perfected over time, a shield against the chaos of your emotions.
As the night wears on, you can feel Jimin's eyes on you from across the restaurant. You sneak glances back at him, and you blanch at his pitying gaze. If the restaurant had been slightly less crowded, you would have flipped him off.
He’s probably enjoying my suffering, you think darkly. Unwilling to give him the satisfaction, you straighten up and do your best to appear more unaffected. Just as you do so, you can hear Jungkook perfectly hitting a soulful high note.
“I’m so sorry for thinking I was strong,” you whisper to the universe. “Forgive me for my insolence.” You clench your fist in anguish, ignoring the confused looks from the customers in front of you.
By the time your shift comes to a close, you are completely and utterly drained. You feel like a snail that has been continuously salted over the past eight hours, and you cannot help but cheer in relief when the clock finally strikes two in the morning. You have to wait for the last few diners to make their leave, but otherwise you are ready to let your bed swallow you whole.
You stand by your hostess desk, leaning your head against it with a defeated sigh. Jungkook’s voice had died down only a few minutes ago, and you hope that by this point he has mercifully left the premises. You want to take a peek to make sure, but just as you’re about to make your way to the door, you feel a hand on your shoulder stop you in your tracks.
“‘Sup, bitch.” Jimin still has that weird, pitying gaze pointed at you, though his words don’t match it. “Are you okay to go home alone tonight? I can bring your dumb ass home if you want.”
You shove his hand away, ready to bite his head off when you think better of it. If Jimin drives you home, then that lowers the chances of seeing Jungkook down to pretty much zero.
“You know what? Thanks,” you grouse. Jimin smiles at you winningly, and the image of it brings a shiver down your spine. You hit him, creeped out. “Hey. Stop that, will you? You’re being really weird?”
Jimin scoffs, crossing his arms. “Me? Weird? At least I don’t look like a damn firework ready to explode just because my cringelord ex-boyfriend is singing sappy love songs outside—”
“Shut the fuck up,” you seethe, stomping on his foot. He yelps in pain and slaps your shoulder in retaliation.
“Ouch! Watch your ogre feet! My shoes are worth twice your monthly rent I’ll have you know,” he bristles. He breathes deeply, likely finding his inner calm (which you doubt exists). “But because I’m so nice, I’ll ignore your earlier transgression and blame it on your underdeveloped amygdala.”
You don’t know what’s more surprising: the fact that Jimin knew what an amygdala was or that he was forgiving you in the first place. “Whatever. Let’s finish closing up and then head out. I’m exhausted.”
