Iâm so tired but I had to make some more COD NSFW thoughts/hcs
Authors note: Iâm literally losing my mind I donât even know anymore/Lh
TW: there are hints at sexual trauma/trauma in general at some point in this so thereâs a little bit of angst but itâs mainly comfort
Keegan and Logan will have a threesome with you happily, usually theyâll be dominant as they use you
But sometimes when theyâre subbing theyâre so so desperate
Oh my god like sucking off Keegan while you make Logan fuck you. And please call them good boys afterwards it makes them so happy
Gromsko loves to be pegged/fucked, especially if you take photos of him in the middle of it
Heâll have his legs up maybe on your shoulders or pressed against his chest as he either grips the bedding or tries his hardest to keep his legs up
Alex is more than happy to be your personal fuck toy
Wether that be using his cock whenever you want or fucking/pegging him RELENTLESSLY heâs more than happy
Gaz loves when you give him head when heâs playing games
He prefers when you take it slow while giving him head during these moments but he doesnât mind if you go fast
Price fucking you in front of the 141 instead of focusing on whatever he called you guys in a meeting for
Horangi actually loves begging for you, he loves to beg for you to make him feel good
On rare occasions Horangi does dom heâs so soft, so sweet and loving unless you add König into the mix, then he becomes mean while the both of them use you
Oh my god Valeria is so mean, making you beg and spitting in your mouth from time to time
But if you get periods and get bad cramps, if you say youâre ok with it sheâll slowly fuck you with her strap or play with your clit until you cum, she knows how bad cramps can get and she wants nothing more than to make her love feel good
Ok I just canât get this thought out of my head: having a train with the 141 but filming the entire thing, when youâre being used by one person someone else or multiple others will take photos of you with their phones as youâre being fucked
Gaz loves when you ride him and take control, hand around this throat or on his chest as you ride him, even better if you have the biggest shit eating grin on your face while you do it
Gaz loves to cum on your face, he loves especially to cum on your neck and collar bones
Price definitely prefers to cum on your thighs
Keegan secretly loves making you sob and cry (if you used the safe word or showed/said you were actually in distress/not enjoying it heâd immediately stop he only likes seeing you cry from pleasure)
Ok just a quick TW for this, this headcanon is gonna hint towards themes of sexual trauma, itâs a comfort hc dw: If you have any trauma around sex or any trauma that can cause you to become triggered when being touched in certain places or whatever, Ghost is so soft and understanding, he sets up a safe word AND a safe gesture incase you donât want to talk/canât talk, wonât do anything unless you bring it up and say you want to do it, if you get triggered at any point during/use a safe word or gesture he stops in the blink of an eye, getting up and getting whatever you need or staying there if you need, getting your clothes (or some fresh ones) for you to get dressed in, getting you aftercare stuff, or if you want to be alone heâll leave you to calm down, if you donât heâs holding you and cooing in your ear about how itâs okay and youâre safe, if you donât want to be touched or talked to heâs silent/just sitting there watching to see if youâre okay. If you donât want certain parts of you touched during then his hands are far from those areas, heâs watching you so closely and asking how you are every few minutes to check up on you (unless you say you donât want him too/donât need him too then heâll stop and just enjoy the moment)
Price loves make up sex, you have an argument or something and the way he makes it up to you is making you cum over and over again
Keegan AND Logan love hate sex, fucking you/you fucking them while you spit at each other and degrade each other, if you hate both of them theyâll fuck you, and if you fuck them theyâre melting. If for some reason you all hate each other, maybe a fight or smth then youâre all aggressively fucking until your sore and tired (if you canât tell I really like the idea of a threesome with Keegan and Logan)
Krueger loves just licking you randomly during, either licking up your back or your torso, on your neck whatever he just loves licking you, also maybe a little bit of biting
When Atoms subbing heâs very quiet but heâs gripping the sheets, arching his back and his head is thrown back as he pants and whines
Krueger could go for literal hours heâs basically a rabid animal
König loves kissing your body during, he just canât stop himself
Okay thatâs all for now Iâm gonna go to bed

I feel like of all the COD folks, König, Alejandro, and Simon are the roughest doms. König gives the vibe that heâs DEFINITELY into whippings. Pulls out an actual whip to discipline his pets. I bet he also is into Master/Slave play, he has his playthings refer to him as âmein Königâ and refers to them as âmein sklavinâ
Alejandro is a guy who knows what heâs got. He knows heâs strong and hot as fuck. I think his favorite type of play is roleplaying an interrogation where his partner has information he needs. When they refuse him, he has no choice but to ravage them. I feel like he definitely threatens horrible things to his partner if they donât behave for him, such as letting the rest of his Vaqueros have a go with them after heâs done
And Ghost. For him, itâs about reminding himself that not only is he no longer helpless like he was in Mexico, but heâs the one with someone else in his hands. Made all the better with the knowledge that both he and his partner are happy and consenting. The biggest ones he hits for me are CNC, gunplay, and long-term bondage. Hell, he likes doing all three at once- coming down into his kink dungeon in the morning to find his plaything still all trussed up where he left them, shaky and helpless; forcing them to âearnâ their breakfast by sucking him off with his gun to their head; then when they plead to be let go, he threatens to gag them if they donât quit their whining
absolutely, 100%. though I'd add price to the bunch too (and later on Captain MacTavish)
also if ur looking for some good ass hardcore könig content check out @konigsblog (dark content, be warned) shes literally one of my favourite blogs ever!!
adding on to you, ale is brutal, mean:( hes the type to ruin your hole from behind with one boot on your head and slapping your ass, leaving you crying and bruised:(( and all you can do is cum over and over again
Simon is just.. ugh. yes. smacking you across the face harshly when you dare to talk back, acting like he's gonna do horrible things to you if you cant make him cum :((
price is the type to burn you with his cigars while torturing you with toys, sat on his desk as a crying, moaning mess:((
the aftercare from all of them is heavenly tho:"3

wip roundup!
Rules: Post the names of all the files in your wip folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! Tag as many people as you have WIPS!
so @glossysoap tagged me in a wip roundup but i didn't want to go into my wips before i finished my paper because... crunch time :) these won't be in the order of when they're going to get posted because truly, fuck knows at this point (i have goals though dw dw)
on camera - ethan landry x reader, ethan has a nsfwtwt
finish what he started - commander cody x reader (this one is my top priority to finish!)
kix x reader, untitled kix body worship fic. just taking care of the medic like he deserves hehe
soft focus fog chapter 3 - benedict bridgerton x reader, even though it's nowhere near finished it's my absolute favourite series i've ever written so far (this one is second priority, i just need to rewatch bridgerton! also i welcome asks about this series and Dear (which is what i've decided to call her!))
worlds apart chapter 1 - neteyam sully x human (eventual avatar) reader
untitled reunion fic - simon riley x reader (it's going to be so soft and loving because it's an ask from my sweet julie @websterss )
untitled yj!cameron mahkent x reader - hurt/comfort, i haven't written DC in so so long, but i read so many cam fics and had the biggest crush on him when i was a teen
untitled john price x reader - riding his pretty face hehe (i know glossy has one of these on her wip list but i haven't been able to stop thinking about it since i sent my ask so i'm gonna write my own too. there's no such thing as too many pussy-eating price fics)
codywan x reader - obi-wan's been sex pollen'd, reader and cody help him out đ€
(unsure about this one) dom!reader x sub!chad x sub!ethan - the only reason i'm unsure is i'm on the fence about mommy kinks. if people are interested let me know and i'll add it to the wip list officially!
i also have one that isn't technically a wip because i haven't decided who yet, but i wanna write a pegging fic. OOOH maybe cal kestis...
that's all i have so far, and a couple of them are asks that are sitting, waiting for attention, and this list will undoubtedly grow
all these wips aside i desperately want to write for the 141 i just need ideas (i may have a bookish!reader x biker!ghost idea brewing for definitely no reason at all, glossy i swear) this includes darker fic ideas. i'll be redoing my whole theme and adjusting my yes's and no's, but if you have a dark idea, send it through and i'll decide from there whether i'm into it or not!

Utrechts Archief
(Utrecht Archive) ââYour tour of Utrecht starts hereââ
Location: Utrecht, Utrecht, The Netherlands Price: 2,50 / Students Free Duration: 1 - 2 hours Transport: In the center so short walk from the train station Language: Dutch / English Activities: Date of visit: Expo at that time: ââIn de Steigersââ (In scaffolding) Website
I always recommend any tourist that doesn't come to the Netherlands for drugs and prostitutes to stay out of Amsterdam, it is expensive and dirty and all the good things that Amsterdam has, Utrecht has too. Utrecht is one of my favorite cities, it has a big shopping mall, the biggest train station, canals, old houses, lots of museums, and Nijntje (Miffy) was born there. This museum calls itself ââ the start of your Utrecht tripââ, and gives you all the historic basics.
Het archive What I expected with a name like that is to see an actual archive and not even really a museum. Maybe some historic artifacts on display, but not much more. I was surprised when I walked in and there was a whole animation on the wall that used physical elements and decor in the room. The rest of the museum too was very interactive, and I learned lots of interesting facts. From how the logo came from Sint Maarten who cut his cape in half to give to a cold homeless man, and thatâs still a local holiday here. It is the only holiday in the Netherlands where you go trick or treading, but you first sing offensive songs about how the listener's mom is fat and ugly or something, and then they have to give you candy?? Anyway, I'm getting off-topic.Â
Interactive but old It was interactive and had little games to play, it just felt like they were invented in 2005 and then never touched again. Not complaining, just observing. Then it had a bike and on the surrounding screens you could make it look like you were actually biking through the city, but now with also historic pictures showing up. Also, a carriage ride the same way, but you drive through Utrecht and the cities surrounding it in 1400 - 1600, I kinda forgot when.Â
The most interesting facts I learned is that the first women that was allowed to study in Europe studied in Utrecht, but behind a curtain as to not distract her male classmates.
Also, I learned that the Dutch holiday carnaval like it is now (all about dressing up slutty and getting wasted) came from horny monks. Carnaval is a Cristian holiday in which you could go crazy the day before, having to fast for 40 days. This meant drinking, but some monks wanted more. As they had to remain celibate, but thought that one time a year didn't matter. So they dressed up in costumes to not get recognized on the streets to get one-night stands. Â
Very small The museum was very small, only maybe 3 rooms, and i skipped the exhibition to be honest. Which is about the restoration of the Dom tower that has been happening for the past years now.Â
I was also trying to figure out for whom this museum really was. Tourists? yeah, some of the information is also in English, but only about â
of it. Was it for locals? Most of them already know this information. And would not pay much to see it. I hadnât looked at the price yet then, I usually do that when I get home, most museums I've been to are priced between 10â20 euros, so I assumed the worst. However, this museum was only 2,50 with I think is a perfect price for this museum, and the fact that it's small, short or outdated don't really matter then. For that price and length it is indeed a fun thing to add to a city trip, after all you come to see the city, not to be in a museum all day.
Would I pay the price: yes, I think they got the price very right.
Would I revisit it: Maybe, I would not necessarily go for the museum, but if I happen to walk by with a friend.
Who do I recommend it to: Dutch tourists, kids from the city.

Ngl I'm getting invested in the Mafia Boss Champion AU. So here's an idea: An MC in this au instead of being your average trainer, is a Mafia Boss themselves? Or even better, say something like an Information Broker. MC single-handedly managed to become one of the fiercest entities across all the regions, no one is safe, and everyone is free game, for the right price. If by chance MC doesn't have info on someone their customer wants, just give them an hour. They'll have something to give you. Everyone has the potential to be a customer as well as a target. Officially the international police has never even thought of using a broker, who has notoriously worked with villains. And yet... MC definitely has records of a few people in the force asking and paying for info and favors. The villain teams are free game as well. You name the right price, MC will get that information for you. Whether it be on stuff for legendary pokemon, or political figures, MC can get you some kind of info. For your average trainer, no one really cares too deeply, but for powerful trainers, you could be a blessing, or a curse. Depends on who you like, and who is willing to pay you in full. If you happen to like a target, you could give a customer redundant info, or something that won't hurt the target too badly. If you dislike a target, you have a folder specifically ready to ruin their lives. Now add that with the Mafia AU, MC is one of their best allies, and worst nightmares. You could have their downfall right at your finger tips for all they know, and yet you still help them when they give you want you want. A terrifying enemy and ally indeed. All it would take is a few words sent to the International Police, or even a villain team, and their empires could crumble... Yet you remain seemingly neutral as ever. Of course, no one know who you are either. You always use a voice changer if a customer requires information directly from a source, and always have a helmet or full face mask on if you must be seen through a screen. No one has even seen you in person, and its rumored those that have, died under mysterious circumstances. Not true of course. No one has seen you at all as your Broker Persona, but hey, you won't stop such silly rumors. Fear is a powerful thing, after all. No one has been able to trace where you are either. If it wasn't for the fact your information and sources are solid, people would think you were a myth. No one has been able to pinpoint what region you could even be from, and some even theorize you life on a boat in the ocean, or on some secret hidden island. All of these theories get even more amusing if MC is a trainer who eventually plans on becoming champion in a region. What better way to hide, than in plain sight? -Dom!Reader Anon
Ooh I love the idea of MC being the biggest mob boss but they work by themselves.
May I add more?
They're the biggest threat do all the Champions yet no one knows their identity.
MC's identity is a trainer with a Pokemon partner Eevee but looks can be deceiving that Eevee is actually a very mischievous and loyal mew
Their mew is like a chaotic sidekick that wants to Aid in MC thirst for power
they only listened to their trainer and nobody else.
In this essay you Volo is still Cynthia's nephew Cynthia being the most feared mob boss other than you
volo Wants to be the one to dethrone you and at some point ( his secret plan take over his aunt)

He was obsessed with the beauty of colors. Even if he could not see them without you, he adored the way they showed up on his canvas. His biggest fear was losing them and, with that, you. Too bad his biggest fear came true...

<- previous part
The museum felt so dull and empty without Seonghwaâs works in them. It had been months and you had yet to see one new work from the artist.
You knew you shouldâve moved on by now, especially due to your photography career soaring.
Everything was going perfectly. Everything but your love life.
Wooyoung was now just your friend and the person you thought was your soulmate was no where to be found.
The more you thought about it, the more you realized you missed Seonghwaâs touch and the spark it brought to your skin more than the color of his eyes. You just missed him.
Now, you were realizing that maybe colors werenât as essential as you thought.
The auction had started hours ago in that same museum, your photographs up for sale among many art pieces. You had been struggling so much after your soulmateâs disappearance that your rent was way past due and the only option was to sell your work.
And what shocked you the most was that your old photographs were selling much faster than your new ones. The old ones that were entirely in black and white.
As you looked at them, truly analyzing everything about them, you realized why. Those photographs were candid, an ethereal way of showing your pain.
While they were dull to you, they told a narrative to everyone else.
âSo, can you pay your bills now?â, a smile spread across your lips when you heard the familiar voice, turning around to see Wooyoung standing there.
He looked good. A suit on to hug his curves and his soulmate clinging to his arm. They really were perfect for each other.
Basically, the story of the two was that they were tied to one another by red strings and they had found each other while you were with Seonghwa.
It made you sorrowful when you realized that meant Wooyoung had known the entire time you werenât meant to be together, but those feelings quickly disappeared when you saw how happy he was.
âYeah, I might even have some money leftover for groceriesâ, you grinned and Wooyoung shook his head, patting yourâs as he stared at the final photograph you had left after the auction was over.
It was your most recent work and you knew it was probably too dispirited to catch anyoneâs attention. Yet, you still brought it with you. The meaning of the photograph was too important to not bring it along with you.
In the photograph, you were there with your back to the camera surrounded by items that you believe represented how heartbreak felt. The light of the sun was shining through the window on your curled up form and it looked awfully dull the more you looked at it.
A loveless life is dull.
âBuy yourself a nice meal then. Wait, get a good meal and then travel. Youâve been in Seoul your whole life. Maybe itâs time to get out of here for a whileâ, you had actually given that some thought. What was even keeping you here? Was it the idea that maybe youâd get Seonghwa back?
âIâll plan a trip to Jeju soon. Iâve always wanted to take photos of the ocean thereâ, Wooyoung grinned from your words, thinking you were finally moving on with your life. The trip was more of a distraction than anything else, but it wasnât entirely a lie. You had always wanted to take photos there.
âWant help getting the most affordable tickets? I know a guyâ, there was that business man you had dated before. Wooyoung traveled all the time so of course he could find the most affordable pricing.
âNo, Iâm going to do this on my own. Thank you though. Iâll see both of you again soonâ, the woman and Wooyoung nodded, giving you a small wave as you moved to leave the museum, your photo tucked in your bag to keep it safe.
However, something caught your eye and had you rooted to the floor.
There, hidden behind some of the tarps for the auction was a new painting. One with the initials PS on it.
You quickly moved to take a look, noticing quickly the familiar beauty and chaos that was your soulmateâs art style. In the center there was a girl and you immediately knew it was you.
Holding up your photo, it was almost an exact replica. The only distinct difference was that Seonghwaâs painting had hope in it. It was just another painting to everyone else, but you realized quickly that the tiny painting painted on the wall in the art was the one you made together.
Except, it seemed glued together. Like it had been ripped to spreads only to be put back together like a puzzle.
âOh, Seonghwa. Iâm so sorryâ, before you could stop yourself, your fingers were tracing the painting, memorizing every edge. It was so despairing aside from that glued painting.
You snapped out of it and forced yourself to leave, slipping your photo back into your bag as you tried to contain your tears.
The walk to your apartment wasnât a long one. You had purposely chosen one close to that museum because you knew that was where you belonged.
You opened the door, greeted by Bruce, your tiny Pomeranian you had been given. Wooyoungâs soulmate believed he was the key to getting over your loneliness and, while you loved the black and white fluffy dog, you werenât exactly sure if that was true.
He barked and you crouched down to pet his head, watching as he smiled and tilted his head just so you could scratch the perfect spot. A laugh fell from your lips as you moved to sit down on your bed, setting up your computer on your lap.
âWant to go to Jeju with me?â, Bruce just barked and you took that as a definite yes.
Your plane had landed a few hours ago and you had quickly found your way to the beach once all of your belongings were in the hotel you were staying in.
Bruce walked beside you as the wind blew through your hair, the sound of the waves filling your ears.
As you approached the middle of the beach, you saw a man painting along the shoreline. His brush moved in quick strokes along the canvas as he stared out at the ocean.
It made you smile seeing someone else so deeply into art here.
Then, you realized why he had chosen this spot to paint.
The sun was setting and it was right at the spot the artist was looking at. The vast array of colors was right above the ocean.
You instinctively got out your camera and took a photo of it. You looked at the shot to see that you had accidentally gotten the artist in it and, while it did add some depth, you refused to take photos of others without permission.
As your finger hovered over the delete button, you felt eyes on you. You looked up to see the artist staring at you, your world suddenly going grey.
âSeonghwa?â, the name felt paradoxical. It was filled with sadness but also happiness.
The manâs eyes found yourâs and both of your worlds were colorless.
Bruce tugged on the leash, snapping you out of whatever trance you were in.
âI missed youâ, his voice croaked, tears welling up in his eyes as he looked you over. While he couldnât see the color of your skin or the rosiness of your cheeks, he could tell you were doing well. You were healthy and that was all that mattered.
âSorryâ, it was all you could get out from the emotions clouding your thoughts. You turned to walk away, gripping the leash in your hand tighter as you tried to quickly get away.
You yelped when Bruce started running back, pulling you along with him until you were standing so unbearably close to Seonghwa. Your chest was almost touching his as your dog rubbed against his leg.
âWhy are you trying to run again?â, you looked down at the sand below you. Seonghwa could finally see you in all your glory as the colors came back since you werenât looking.
The only thing he couldnât do was look into your eyes. Thatâs what he wanted most.
âIâm tired of running so I get itâs cowardly, but I donât know what else to do. Iâm just so confusedâ, you spoke honestly and looked up, trying to be brave and finally face your problems. Especially when the main one was right in front of you.
âI think I found some answers. Iâm going to assume you saw my paintingâ, of course he would know you did. His painting flooded your head and you were thankful you took the time to memorize all its bold features.
âI did. Our painting?â, it felt wrong to say our in reference to the painting you two made while you were in love. It wasnât like it was in your studio.
âDo you know why I glued it back together?â, you searched his eyes for an answer other than hope but you could not find one.
âHope?â, Seonghwa chuckled and put his hands gently on your shoulders, looking for any sign that he should remove them before he continued.
âMore than that, I found answers. It was a test. A test we sadly failed at first, but maybe thereâs hope to pass it nowâ, Seonghwa bent over and picked up Bruce to keep him calm, petting the puppyâs head as he waited for your response.
âWhat test?â, the artist smiled and your heart swelled at how hopeful it was. He really wanted this to work.
âItâs a rare test that some people with our connection have to go through. We have to look past the outside and into the inside. Basically, we have to keep loving without the colorsâ, it seemed so simple coming from the manâs mouth. He seemed so excited and, yet, you couldnât stop thinking about the ifs.
âWill we be able to see colors again? I donât want to take that from youâ, it was true. You could make it without them because your black and white photos sold faster than your colored ones but Seonghwa needed those colors in his paintings. He needed those brilliant shades in his work.
âSome got it back and others didnât, but I can do without them as long as youâll look at meâ, his voice dripped with aggressive honesty, no room for argument on your side. You nodded as you let the information seep into your mind.
âLetâs start with thisâ, he pointed at Bruce and the dog licked his cheek, making you giggle. Seonghwa grinned when he heard the noise. He may have missed that most of all.
âThatâs my son Bruce. My friend gave him to meâ, you pat the dogâs head and Seonghwa nodded, stroking the puppyâs back before he set him back down on the sand.
âTry painting?â, the question made your head spin as you looked over at the easel, shaking your head immediately.
âIâm definitely not a painter. That looks way too good to ruinâ, Seonghwa shook his head and took your free hand in his, walking you towards the place his art supplies were. There it was, that spark that went through you when you touched.
âIf I do this then I get to teach you how to take a proper photoâ, you put your pinky out and his hearty laugh made your cheeks turn redder, not that he could tell.
âDealâ, his pinky wrapped around your own and that was a promise made. The first of many.
âOkay, pick up a brush and letâs startâ, you looked down at the many brushes along the bottom of the easel and you just grabbed one. You have never painted before and it really showed.
âMaybe not the biggest one I haveâ, he chuckled and took the big brush out of your hand, getting a much smaller one and putting it into your hand.
âOkay, lets try to paint around the sunâ, Seonghwa gestured first to the painted sun he made and then the real one across the ocean. He purposely looked away so you could see the colors, forcing himself to keep his eyes off of you.
You collected a little bit of the lavender-tinted paint on his palette and started to paint. Seonghwa looked over at the canvas and chuckled, watching how messy you were making it.
âLike thisâ, he came up behind you and his big hand encased yourâs, guiding you to smooth out the paint. His chest was pressed against your back and the last time you two painted together came back, causing your hand to shake a little nervously.
âYouâre doing well. Donât be nervousâ, Seonghwa smiled and you shouldâve known he wouldâve thought your shakiness was because of the painting. Well, it was but not this specific painting.
âOkay, do we move onto the next color now?â, the man answered with a simple âyesâ and he let go of you. While he enjoyed being so close to you, he did want to see you do it yourself.
You did exactly what Seonghwa had done before but with orange this time, the color reminding you of a tangerine as your brush moved across the canvas.
âItâs simple when you get used to itâ, that comment made you laugh, turning to look at the man.
âSeonghwa... this is a sunset. The shit you paint is much more complexâ, you shook your head and went back to painting despite the lack of color now there. He was staring at you.
âDid we go too fast? Is that why this happened?â, your eyebrows furrowed as you thought about it. You two really did go fast. As soon as you had found out your destiny, you dropped everything and ran off with Seonghwa despite not knowing much about each other.
âDo you think itâs a trick to get us to get to know one another?â, it sounded ridiculous coming out of you, but it did make sense.
âProbably. Does that mean nothing is wrong? We can still be together?â, you grimaced at the overly complicated question.
âI donât know. Weâll figure that out I supposeâ, you tried to get around giving him a definite answer because you truly didnât know. The whole situation was so confusing and you had to curse the universe in your head.
The rest of your painting was silent. Seonghwa played with Bruce in the sand as you focused on the art. You were slowly realizing why the man loved painting so much.
It was peaceful and away from the harsh reality around him. He could create whatever world he wanted on this little canvas and there was no limits. No limits like you had created.
âPretty good for your first goâ, Seonghwa commented as he looked over your work. It was a tad bit more messy than if he had done it but it was impressive.
âI have a good teacherâ, you teased and smiled, feeling proud of doing something out of your comfort zone.
Your entire life had been a routine of activities and places you were familiar with. Now, the world felt boundless. Thatâs how Seonghwa made you feel.
âWell, itâs your turn to be teacher nowâ, the man poked your side and you wouldâve did it back if Bruce wasnât desperately pulling on the leash.
âCome with us? I can once Bruce is back in the hotel. Heâs tired of the outside nowâ, you chuckled as the puppy barked at you as if to agree. Seonghwa nodded and walked beside you down the beach and down the path to your hotel.
Once the dog was back in your room, you followed behind Seonghwa. He had mentioned a beautiful hiking trail not too far from here. You were realizing that he had probably been here the whole time. Maybe you werenât the only one who had run away.
âSo, what is your favorite animal?â, your head turned to look at the man, the question making you laugh softly. It was true that you didnât know that about each other. Maybe this walk would be good to actually know one another.
A scream tore through your throat when you were thrown into the lake, your clothes clinging to your wet body.
You glared when your head returned to the surface, the freezing water biting at your skin. Seonghwa just laughed, waving your camera in the air like itâs just some flimsy piece of paper.
âBe careful with that!â, you scolded him and he immediately stopped, like a puppy that was found eating the furniture.
âSorry sorry, but look how good it turned out!â, you swam over to the rock below him, leaning up on it like a mermaid peering up at her human prince.
He crouched down and showed you the photo. It was a photo of the exact moment your body had penetrated the water, the waterfall right behind you. It was beautiful.
âNow whoâs the good teacher?â, you teased and Seonghwa moved to lay on the rock, looking into your eyes.
âYou are. I genuinely love photography nowâ, he chuckled and it felt like the world had stopped as you look into each otherâs eyes.
âItâs a screenshot but for realityâ, you giggled and lifted yourself up with your hands, placing a little kiss on his forehead.
âDo you have anything I can change into?â, you asked as you realized your shirt was doing very little to cover your upper body now.
âJust take thisâ, he helps you out of the water and respectfully turns around, taking his hoodie off and passing it to you.
You put the hoodie on and it engulfed your smaller form, going down to your knees because of how oversized it was.
âOkay, you can look nowâ, Seonghwa nodded and turned around to face you, trying to hide his smile when he saw how adorable you looked.
âReady to go back? Itâs probably midnight nowâ, Seonghwa motioned to the moon shining above the trees. You stood there staring at it for a moment before you nodded, letting the man take your hand in his as he guided you along the path.
It was your last day in Jeju, a daunting knowledge that had you awake before even the sun rose. It had already been a week but you didnât feel like it was enough time.
Your feet sinked into the sand as you hurried to try to get a clear photo of the sunrise.
You eventually found a bolder to set up on, sitting on the cold surface once your camera was out. It was so peaceful but also eerily quiet.
Well, until a certain someone found you.
âHey, come to see the sunrise too?â, Seonghwa came to sit by you, his arm wrapped around you as if you were going to fall off the rock.
âYeah, I was wondering how beautiful it must be if the sunset is as gorgeous as it wasâ, you nodded and felt a weight on your shoulders, the need to get everything out. To figure it out.
âLast day, huh? Arenât you leaving in the morning?â, Seonghwa watched you nod and he pouted, that cute little pout that made your heart melt.
âYeah. Actually, why donât you come back with me?â, you looked at him, hope in your eyes ever present.
âI would but my friend is sick here. I have to be hereâ, so he didnât run off. He was running to help someone in need.
You nodded understandingly, your mind trying to come up with something but only silence filled the air.
âHey, before you leave, I wanted to ask something. Was there anything I couldâve said back then to make you stay?â, you knew what he was referring to. After the colors left, you had run off and drove to your apartment, not even looking back.
âHonestly... no. I was so confused and scared. I just wanted you to have it all and if that meant breaking your heart then I was okay with itâ, a sigh left your lips, feeling guilt fill your stomach.
âI think I would rather be completely blind then lose you againâ, the confession caught you off guard and you turned your entire body to face him.
âLike Iâd ever let that happenâ, you shook your head and Seonghwa cupped your face in his hands, looking over every feature he could. He wanted to remember it all when you were gone.
âLike Iâd let you stop meâ, he was so serious that it made you gulp, your heart pounding against your chest. He leaned in and finally closed the gap between you, his lips molding with yourâs perfectly. Sparks erupted through both of your bodies and it caused your body to shake as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
His hands trailed down to your waist, waiting for any protest from you before he moved them to your ass, squeezing the skin under your panties. The dress you were wearing did the bare minimal of protecting your lower body from the manâs hands. Not that you minded one bit.
Seonghwa pulled away from the kiss, looking up at you as he pulled you into his lap. His expression was filled with so much raw emotion, nothing hidden.
âDo you want this? Do you want us?â, the second question lingered in your mind. How would this work? You had no idea. Especially when he was stuck on this island, but you knew what you wanted.
âYes, I want you, Seonghwa. But, you have to keep painting. I need to see your work in the museumâ, Seonghwa chuckled and nodded, pecking your lips as he snuck his finger into your panties, moving it up and down your slit to collect your wetness.
âHereâs the catch though, youâll have to go to other museums to see them. Get out there, princessâ, you huffed in annoyance and the man smiled teasingly. After a week, the black and white world became comforting. It was simply a sign that Seonghwa was only looking at you.
Maybe the world was black and white because colors would only distract you two from what mattered. It wasnât how brown Seonghwaâs eyes were. It was how caring he was or how he made you laugh. Thatâs what is important.
Seonghwa pushed two of his fingers inside of you, scissoring your cunt open as his other hand lifted your dress up to reveal your breasts. He almost wanted to scold you for wearing no bra, but your breasts looked way too perfect under the moonlight for him to care.
A whimper sounded in your throat when his fingers started to hit that spot inside of you and you felt a cold substance on your chest. In the center of your torso, Seonghwa had spit and his tongue was now trailing up it to your breasts. His lips wrapped around the bud and sucked, only furthering your pleasure as you rocked your hips against his fingers.
It felt so perfect and right. Your bodies fit together like puzzle pieces and it oddly reminded you of the painting you two had made together. Glued together like a puzzle.
âYouâre so beautiful and smart. Youâre just amazing, okay?â, it was definitely more of a statement than a question but you nodded, a vibrant smile on your face. With Seonghwa, every insecurity felt minuscule. Nothing mattered but how you both felt with your bodies against each other.
âAnd youâre just as amazingâ, a soft moan mixed with the words and that only made it more impactful. Only he could have you making those sounds.
âYou want more?â, the gentleness of his voice made a shiver run up your spine. Not even the openness of your actions could bother you.
âPlease, give me moreâ, he read your meaning loud and clear, taking his fingers out of you. It felt so empty without them there but you knew something better was coming.
He unzipped his pants, letting your dress fall back down. He pulled his jeans and boxers down, letting his cock free and your mouth practically watered at the sight.
He moved your panties too the side, in too much of a hurry now that the sun was finally riding. You spread your legs and sunk down onto his dick, your head falling back blissfully as it stretched you out.
âShit, I forgot how big you areâ, you whined, moving your head into his neck and he licked the skin of your neck before he started to suck on it. Without his real canvas here, he would have to recreate the artwork you two had made on your skin.
âAnd i forgot how tight you are. Wait, let me make sureâ, you could practically hear the teasing tone in his voice as he bottomed out in you. His hand moved to lift your dress up a little, showing off the bulge in your tummy.
âThere it is. Look how good you take itâ, Seonghwa sounded so proud as he stared at it, moving his hips a little just to watch the bulge move.
âI only will take your cock. Only yourâsâ, it was so validating to hear you say that as your hands found their way into his hair, running through the messy locks, âyou can move, babyâ.
He didnât need to be told twice, his hips moving up and down as you bounced on his cock. The angle from being on top had you already moaning, joyful tears welling up in your eyes as bliss overtook your body.
âPrincess, lookâ, neither of your paces faltered as you turned your head to look at the sunrise. You smiled once you saw all the colors surrounding the sun. Light shun upon your bodies slowly and the warmth felt amazing.
âWait! The photo!â, you looked over at your camera which was sitting beside you and you stopped bouncing to grab it.
âNo, let meâ, Seonghwa smirked and took the camera, holding it out to your side. Your bodies were perfectly in view of the lens and you blushed as he took the photo, your naked bodies now in your camera roll.
âNow, whenever you look at a sunrise youâll think of meâ, he grinned and you playfully slapped his chest before you took the camera and took an appropriate picture of the sunrise.
You put the camera down and looked at the man again, his eyes meeting yourâs.
âHwa...â, your voice faltered when you saw something unfamiliar.
Orange. Purple. Red.
Right on your soulmateâs skin.
âYou- you see it too?â, the sunlight shining on both of your skin was now visible even if you were looking at one another.
âYes! Fuck, youâre so prettyâ, you couldnât help but say, tears spilling down your cheeks as you took in everything about him again. The gentle tan of his skin, his rosey lips, and even the color of his veins.
Seonghwaâs thumbs gently wiped away your tears before he tugged on your hair to bring your lips to his, his hips slowly beginning to move again. You moaned in his mouth, rolling your hips to meet his as you felt his dick rub against your walls.
âI love youâ, you whispered against his lips as you felt your orgasm building up. Seonghwa smiled, a beautiful smile you had missed in all its glory.
âI love you tooâ, his cock twitched inside of you and he started to rub your clit, your pussy clenching around him in response to the stimulation.
âCum together?â, you asked, resting your forehead against his as you tried to catch your breath.
âBe together? No matter the distance?â, you didnât expect him to answer with more questions, but you knew your answer to them and you knew his answer to your question.
âAlwaysâ, you nodded before you felt your orgasm run through your body, clenching around the man as your cum coated his cock.
Seonghwa had the decency to pull out of you, releasing on your thighs and stomach. He really was going to make you his new canvas.
His fingers smeared the seed on as much skin as he could get to and you giggled, shaking your head.
âAll I know is that you better answer every single one of my calls after thisâ, you became painfully aware of the vulnerability of being seen now. Seonghwa chuckled and gestured to the ocean.
âAnd you better get that cum off of your skin before the early birds get hereâ.

âSo, that whole thing was a lie? We arenât really getting a break?â Jisoo asks, being the first to break the silence after twenty minutes. Her eyes are still closed shut, patiently waiting for the makeup artist to add the final touches of her eyeliner.
Within this current situation, she was the one who had been least upset; maybe it was because it worked out in her favor.
You, on the other hand, were pissed.
When promised an extended break for the first time since you were a trainee, you were ecstatic to have the opportunity to rest, make time with your closest family and friends, and âenjoy the ordinary life of a young person in their 20sâ as Big Hit had officially stated.
The announcement had only gone public a few days ago, and your publicist, Seokjin, already had an event scheduled for you and the rest of the group; a house party.
âYou get a break from practicing and performing,â Seokjin mumbles, only slightly interested in the conversation as he flips through the tabloids in his hands, âbut, we just canât let the public forget about you five while youâre on break. We need to make sure youâre seen and out there.â
âBullshit,â Lisa swears, standing up from the white plush couch, âafter two months you think everyone is gonna forget the biggest group in the world?â
âCurrent,â Namjoon speaks, so quietly, you wouldâve missed it if you hadnât been staring at him this entire time. Heâd been considerably silent since the moment he entered the dorm along with Seokjin and a team of makeup artists. He hadnât even made eye contact with anyone, not even you.
âWhat?â Lisa asks.
Namjoon clears his throat nervously, âYouâre the current biggest group, that could easily change in a matter of time.â
âDonât tell me you agree with SeokjinâŠâ Jennie trails off from her spot on the couch, a hopeful expression on her face as she turns to face Namjoon.Â
His energy was completely off today, and in return, it was making you feel weird. Maybe it was because he had indeed lied about your group being able to take a break. A part of you hopes it was the companyâs decision and not his specifically.Â
Well, with the number of times youâve cried to him about you and the girls were constantly being overworked, you really were hoping this wasnât his idea of a break.
âYouâll still get to rest, we just need you to do a few events here and there; little things,â Namjoon had been slowly walking towards you as he spoke, completely forgetting about the hairstylist who had been adding the finishing touches to your curls.
He stares at you, intensely, and you stare right back. His gaze his somewhat amused, and you wonder what had changed within him in the past few seconds. The discussion wasnât going well, so there was clearly something else on his mind. But, what was it?
âStill giving me the silent treatment?â he whispers, only a few inches away from your face.
You remain quiet.
âGonna have to open that mouth sooner or later.â
On any other day, you wouldâve fallen to his commands in an instant. But, today was different. You just let his words give you goosebumps and call it a day.
You turn towards your hairstylist, who is staring at your manager with a confused expression on her face. Namjoon notices your gaze and follows it, then feels flustered that he had forgotten your hairstylist was right in front of him and had heard every word he said.
Namjoon clears his throat, standing upright, âTo practice your singing, of course.â
The stylist shoots him a dirty glance but doesnât say anything else. The scene had (thankfully) gone unnoticed by anyone who wasnât involved.
âWhy are we going to a house party? And, whoâs throwing it?â RosĂ© questions, breaking her own vow of silence and letting curiosity get the best of her.
Seokjin and Namjoon exchange an amused glance that only made you and the girls worried. Even your stylists had their share of little giggles.
Your stomach was turning.
âIâm sure you all know Jackson Wang,â Seokjin says, earning a groan from the five of and an annoying smile on your publicistÂŽs face.
Jackson Wang was a rapper, actor, and your current fake boyfriend...in a way. It was all Jinâs idea, of course; to the public, itâd look like you were only friends who were dating in secret. Doing little things like wearing one of his shirts out in public, making sure to speak at him and every public event the two of you had attended, and now, showing up to his house party where paparazzi would definitely swarm.Â
It kept the paparazzi on their toes, thinking theyâve caught onto something that was supposed to be secret. So, in a way, Seokjinâs plan was working. Everyone was definitely intrigued.Â
âDonât make that face, doll.â Jin is standing in front of you now, a fake pout on his lips, âYou, of all people, should be excited. Kim Taehyung will be there.â
Kim Taehyung was yet another boy who you werenât interested in but had to maintain some type of relationship with. With you making your acting debut soon, there was a movie you had already been set to film. Some type of horror-romance movie with your co-star being none other than Kim Taehyung. You didnât mind starring with him in the slightest bit, but there was speculation that he was interested in making your relationship more personal than professional.Â
âOh, so itâs _____âs fault weâre going to this? So she can promote her stupid movie?â Lisa barks. You werenât exactly offended by her questions, it kinda was your fault. As the leader of your group, you had been offered more opportunities than your other members. Did you think it was fair? No, not in the slightest. But, there was nothing you could do about it except ask that the other girls get opportunities as well. In return, it made your members act cold towards you. It was ironic in a way that no one liked their leader, you donât blame them much. In fact, youâve accepted the fact that they donât like you and most likely never will.
âWatch your mouth,â Namjoon says, looking out of the dormâs window to stare at the limousine parked outside. âYou donât think we forgot about the rest of you, did you?â
Jennie sits up in excitement, now fully ready to go, âThereâs gonna be stuff for the rest of us to do?â
âOf course! What kind of manager would I be the leave you guys out?â
âI dunno,â Lisa speaks up with crossed arms, âthatâs the way things have been for a while now.â
As much as you hate to admit it, Lisa was right; and Namjoon knows it.
âPlay nice at the party and youâll see what Big Hit has in store for you. Deal?â
Thereâs a reluctant silent, then, â...Deal.â
You had never even seen Jackson Wangâs house, let alone been to it.
It was a mansion, located in the middle of nowhere. A small part of you feels he has so much money and doesnât even know what to do with it.
The drive to his home is long and quiet, the only sound being music coming from the radio. At your every attempt to make small talk, you were shut down immediately. There was no point in even trying anymore.
Finally arriving at Jacksonâs house is a relief, though you hadnât wanted to go in the first place. But, who knows? Maybe you will have a good time, though this was simply just a promotion opportunity.
From the limoâs tinted windows, youâre able to see the luxury cars all parked around Jacksonâs fountain; each vehicle owned by some sort of celebrity. Paparazzi is already here, of course, not even letting their camera flashes slow down for a second. Itâs overwhelming, but it was the price of fame.
The stretch limo comes to a halt and within a few seconds, the driver has made his way over to open the door.
Being closest to the exit, you move your leg to step out until Lisa stops you by putting her own leg over yours. âYou always get out first,â she says, a smile on her face so paparazzi can think the two of you are having a friendly conversation, âlet someone else go for once.â
âDoes the order really matter that much?â You reply, copying her smile.
âIt does when youâre always first,â she adds a friendly laugh to her smile before using her leg to push you back only slightly and step out of the car. RosĂ© and Jennie donât even throw a glance your way as they slide past you, and you donât expect them to.
Jisoo is the last to leave before you, but she pauses before she steps out, âIt really isnât a big deal, but she has a point.â Jisoo chooses not to look at you when sheâs done speaking, deciding to slide out of the limo with a smirk on her face as if that little exchange didnât just happen. You remind herself that even though she was the nicest to you out of your fellow members, she still wasnât quite fond of you.Â
You take one last deep breath before stepping out.
Standing at the end of the line, next to Jisoo, you let the photographers take as many pictures as they wish. All while ignoring the questions and comments thrown at your each and every way.
Seconds pass, and Jackson has finally made his way through his crowd of guests to greet you properly. He gives a polite hug to each of your members and decides placing a kiss way too close to your lips is enough to drive the paparazzi crazy. His large hand finds the small of your back as he leans down to speak into your ear, âIâm glad you could make it.â
Looking up at him, you notice the purplish bruise on his neck. Itâs faded only slightly, so you assume there was a terrible attempt to cover it with makeup, or the marking was a few days old. Either way, you definitely werenât the one who had planted it there. And yet, everyone would think otherwise.
Fighting the urge to tell him that you didnât have a choice to visit his party, you only smile and ask that he bring you inside.
His house is packed with people, nearly all of them being A-list celebrities; you wonder how Jackson is able to live a lifestyle like this and how different he is from you. Sure, you enjoy being famous, but not all the time. For you, itâd be nice to do something as simple as take your dog for a walk without being swarmed with cameras. Jackson, on the other hand, made sure the press knew when he was going to the grocery store.
âIs Taehyung here?â You ask out of curiosity.
âWho?!â Jackson replies, yelling over the commotion of people.
âTaehyung! Kim Taehyung! I heard he was going to be here!â
â_____, baby, you know itâs rude to ask for another man when youâre at your boyfriendâs house.â
âYouâre not my--â the metaphorical jazz music in your head stops playing for a moment, âI just...heâs my future co-star.â
Jackson completely ignores you, letting the arrival of his best friend captivate his interest. The rest of HEAVEN has gone about in their own way, leaving you alone in a crowd of people you donât know.
Itâs ironic. Itâs so ironic to the point where itâs almost humours.Â
You vaguely remember something about Jackson saying there would be snacks in the kitchen, so you navigate yourself to where the food would be. Youâll relax after youâve had a bite to eat, right?
Everything that had happened since the moment you entered the kitchen (exactly one hour ago) had been complete and utter shit.
To reiterate, Jackson did have snacks in the kitchen: Jello shots. Nearly every single flavor of Jello in existence had made its way into his home. Youâre pressured into taking one, then another, but you stop at three because thatâs when Jennie walks in.
âWe leave our leader for ten minutes and sheâs already getting drunk,â she snickered, âthatâs not very responsible of you, now is it?â
âEase up on âer, Jen,â Taehyung suddenly enters. His outfit is laid back and casual, all black except for a red bandana wrapped around his hairline. Heâs even more handsome in person than he is on screen, but you still find yourself thinking of Namjoon; wondering what he was doing while you got tipsy off of Jello shots.
âThe break just started, she has a right to let loose if she wants to,â Taehyung adds, now pulling you into a side-hug. âHowâs my future co-star doing?â
A high-pitched, sarcastic laugh sounds through the kitchen. You immediately recognize it as Lisaâs without having to even look.
âThatâs not gonna last long,â she states, hopping up on the marble kitchen counter.
âWhat wonât?â Jackson asks, who had only been a few steps behind her.
âThe two of them being co-stars.â
Youâre confused by Lisaâs words, but you donât ask any questions. You instead wait and see where she goes with this.
âAnd why wonât that last long? _____ is an amazing actress,â Taehyung compliments, nudging your side slightly to earn a smile from you.
âOh, I agree,â Lisa replies, âshe is an amazing actress. But, doesnât this movie involve a sex scene with the two of you?â Lisa shoots you a devilish glance, and it takes everything in you to not let your jaw drop to the floor.
You already know where sheâs headed with this, and you canât believe sheâd even stoop to a level so low for the sole purpose of embarrassing you.Â
âYeah, so? Weâre both adults.â Taehyung says with an arched brow.
âIf this is about me, I honestly donât care that thereâs a sex scene,â Jackson adds, âitâs all scripted.â
Lisa waves a dismissive hand in Jacksonâs face, âNo one cares about you. I agree that _____ is an amazing actress. But, oh...sheâs still a virgin.â
A short silence falls over the kitchen, and Lisa still looks amused. You take a second to note that even more people have entered the room.
âYou donât need to have had sex in order to film a sex scene, Lisa. As Jackson said, itâs all scripted; weâre being told what to put where and what moves to make. Even I was a virgin when I filmed my first sex scene.â Much to your surprise, Taehyung had been sticking up for you the moment he had arrived at Jacksonâs home, despite it being your first time to officially meet in person.Â
âYeah, but sheâs gonna have to fake an orgasm, right? You canât fake something youâve never had.â
Thereâs another silence, and even Taehyung doesnât speak up to defend you.
Everyone is at a loss for words. Even you.
âI...thatâs...wowâŠâ Jackson sputters, shaking his head as if he couldnât believe the information he was given. âYouâve never had one? Like, not even from--â
âOh, my God,â you cut him off and realize how foreign your own voice sounds.
This entire situation was childish, you felt like you were back in high school. There are tears threatening to fall from your eyes, youâre trying to figure out if their tears from anger or sadness.
âThis is justâŠâ you began, but canât bring yourself to finish your sentence. Your anxiety is at an all-time high, the walls feel like theyâre closing in on you and every glance in your direction feels like a judgemental one.
You exit the kitchen in a rush, and without a word.
With a house as big as Jacksonâs, it takes you a while to make it outside. You search for your designated limo in the darkness and finally manage to locate it.
Your steps towards the car start to feel far too slow as soon as the paparazzi from earlier see you and immediately pick up their cameras. You keep your head down and try your best to not get blinded by the camera flashes, but that doesn't stop you from hearing all the questions and comments being thrown your way.
âHey, _____ ! Why ya leavinÂŽ so soon, babe?š
â_____! Are the rumors true? Does Jackson Wang have a sex dungen in his basement?š
âWhere ya headed, dollface? Off to see a secret lover?š
The last question sticks in your mind as you enter the limo, closing the door as quickly as possible to avoid the paparazzi.
âAre the other girls coming?Ì Ì The chauffeur asks, starting up the car Ìs engine.
âNo, just me wanting to go back to the dorm a little earlier than expected. YouÂŽll have to come back for them later; IÂŽm sorry.š
âIt's not a problemâ he glances at you through the rearview mirror, âit's what I'm paid to do, remember?â He adds a comforting smile to his words before driving out of Jackson Ìs parking lot.
Once you're halfway down the street, it hits you that no one had bothered to follow you out from the party, or make any attempt to comfort you when you were obviously in an uncomfortable situation.
Though Jackson was tolerable at most time, he still wasnÂŽt someone you were close with regardless of what the media thought. You definitely hadnÂŽt expected your members to follow you out, but, you were hoping Taehyung would be a few feet behind. Maybe he would follow you all the way to the limo and even get in with you. The photographers outside definitely wouldÂŽve made a show of it and created some other type of dating scandal. But in the brief time you had gotten to know Taehyung, youÂŽve already figured a dating scandal with him wouldnÂŽt be too bad, plus, Seokjin would love it; itÂŽd make for great promotion in your upcoming film with him.
But, alas, no one had followed you out.Â
Shortly after âHEAVENâ had debuted, it seemed as though the other members formed an unspoken cult to hate you. The reason being so is absurd, you try not to let it bother you.
But itâs hard putting on a âgirl powerâ persona in front of the cameras then going back to being high school enemies when no one was watching. Itâs hard knowing the ones that shouldâve been your best friends mentally rolled their eyes whenever you spoke yet faked a laugh on the outside.
And itâs frustrating how no one picked up on their bitter and petty actions towards you; anytime you brought up the members not liking you to someone, they always dismissed it or assumed you werenât being serious. Essentially, youâre alone. Itâs ironic and honestly a bit humorous that you were among one of the most famous people in the world and yet, there was not one person you could go to with all your problems.
But wait, there is someone: Kim Namjoon, your manager. Any problem you had could be brought to him, whether it be work-related or personal issues, he was always there.
So, you decide to call him.
Beside you is your Louis Vuitton handbag and in it is your small, pink Nokia cellphone. You scramble to get it out quickly, having to work out the numerous amount of lip gloss tubes you were able to stuff in such a tiny bag.
Namjoon is first on your speed dial, right above your own mother, and heÂŽs the first contact you press on before bringing the phone up to your ear.
š_____?š he picks up on the fifth ring, šIs everything okay? Are you still at Jackson Ìs?š
šNope, something happened so I decided to bounce,Ì you reply. There's a lump in your throat from trying to hold in a sob, so you keep your voice as quiet as possible to avoid Namjoon from worrying. He already has enough stress on him, he won't have much time for your childish habits.
Ì ÌWhat happened?š he asks, and you immediately regret there was an event that took place that caused you to leave.
šUh...someone brought in coke and everyone started doing lines of it,Ì you manage to lie. Sure, you could Ìve come up with something else, but this one was believable with the amount of celebrity house parties that was surrounded by some sort of illegal substance.Â
šOh shit, fuck,š Namjoon swears again under his breath, and you question if your lie was a little too believable. šWell itâs good that you left, but did you leave the other girls behind to? That wonÂŽt be a good image. You canÂŽt just leave your members behind like that, itÂŽs not a good look as the groupÂŽs leader. Next--š
šNamjoon, please,š you interrupt, because you already feel bad enough as it is, and being scolded by the only person you can trust right now isnŽt how you planned for this night to go.
šAre youš He doesn't finish his question and decides to sigh instead, and you do the same.
šJust tell the chauffeur to bring you to the office, and let the front desk know youŽre here for me, IŽll have the door unlocked for you, okay?š
He doesnÂŽt wait for a response from you before he hangs up, leaving you with no choice but to go see him.
You lean forward into the front seat and tell your driver that your original plans for the night had changed.
âOh, _____! I wasn't expecting to see you here so l--â
âTell Namjoon I'm here to see him.â You cut off the receptionistsâ enthusiasm with your bratty attitude. You feel bad for so blunt with her, but youâre not in the mood to deal with anyone that wasnât Namjoon.
Your handbag swings in the loose grip you have it in as you make your way to the elevator, and the price of it reminds you how hard you worked to be able to buy something like that with your own money. All the countless nights you spent, practicing your singing, dancing, and language skills just to make it all the way to the top, and be completely alone there.
It was so pathetic.
You call the elevator down with the press of a button as the receptionists alerts Namjoon of your arrival. The trip to his office is short, and you ignore any and everyone who had made an attempt at speaking with you.
You knock on Namjoonâs door twice, and a faint Ìcome in Ì sounds through the wood.
He's at his desk when you enter the room, slouched over, writing something down as his phone is pressed against his ear. You notice how the platinum blond of his hair makes his skin pop, as if he were a glowing. His all white outfit helps with the fact that you believe he was truly your guardian angel sent down by God himself.
Kim Namjoon was beautiful.
He looks up at you when he heard the door shut, and his eyes glimmer when you make contact. He can't help but smile at your current state, a hand on your hip with your handbag dangling in the other, pink cat eye glasses pressed up against your eyes while an evident pout was on your lips; you looked like a spoiled brat.
He beckons you over with a wave of his hand, making space for you to sit on his desk. You stomp the entire way there, Namjoon takes notice and forces himself to hold back his laughter. He's focused on this call, so you take the opportunity to lean over and see what he had been scribbling down.
Heaven cute comeback vs dark comeback ??
Contact suga regarding songs for comeback
Late fall / early springÂ
Nothing written down makes any sense to you, but Namjoon seems to know what everything means as heĆ finishing up his call.
âYeah, Iâll set up a meeting over lunch with Suga. Yeah...got it,â he writes something else down, âalright bye.â
He hangs up the office phone, sets his pen down, and looks straight up at you. âYou donât look so happy,â he comments.
âIâm not.â
âThat's fair, but first things first,â Namjoon reaches up to carefully slide the glasses off of your face, revealing the black mascara that had been running along with the dark circles that surrounded your eyes. âWhy are you crying?Ìâ His voice is so soft and caring when he asks, you can cry again just from how sweet he is towards you.
âI donât wanna talk about it,â you mumble with a pout, staring down at your heels.
âAgain, thatâs fair,â he says, moving your legs slightly to access one of his deskâs drawers. From the cabinet, he pulls out a pack of facial cleansing wipes, and the fact that he has them doesn't surprise you in the slightest. It would explain his glow. âYouâre gonna have to tell me at some point, though,â he takes one wet wipe from the pack before bringing up to your cheek, gently using it to caress and wipe at any leftover makeup until you were left completely barefaced.
âIâm crying because IÂŽve never had sex before.â
âOhâŠâ
âIâve already told you a million times I want you to take my virginity.â
â_____, your virginity is a special thing.â
âCome on, Namjoon,â you groan, tossing your head back, âIâm twenty-one and youâre twenty-four; can we not talk about this as if Iâm a child?â
âThen let's stop talking about it completely, babe,â ever so gently, he pulls you down only slightly to plant a kiss on your lips. As mad at him as you were, you can't help but erase all the angry thoughts the moment his soft lips collide with yours. You force yourself to pull away.
âAre you gonna give me more context on why youâre suddenly so upset about never being fucked?â He asks casually as he boots up his bulky, beige computer.Â
âNo.â
âOkay then,â he smiles. You can tell he wants to know more, but doesnât want to pry you for more information if you didnât want to talk about it. Instead, he just watches his computer load up. âHave you eaten today?â Namjoon questions.
You think back to lunch, and remember that you, âhad a salad for lunch.â
âThatâs it?â
âYeah.â
He shakes his head, sliding you a white container that had been hidden on the other side of his computer. âEat up,â he says as you open the box to reveal a half-eaten cheeseburger. You stare at it for a few seconds without saying anything, causing Namjoon to roll his eyes.
âDonât tell me you care about the fact that I ate half,âhe says, typing his login information into the computer.
âNo! Itâs just...thank you,â you say picking the sandwich up and taking a bite out of it. Namjoon looks genuinely happy that youâre eating, you can tell by the way heâs staring, as if you were the most beautiful thing heâs ever seen.
âAre you gonna at least tell me why you wanted to go back to the dorms so soon?â he asks after a few minutes of silence, letting you peacefully eat your meal until youâve finished.
âI was gonna cry for an hour then make myself orgasm since everyone seems to care so much,â you say honestly. Though it would probably take some time, you just wanted to get this ânever-had-an-orgasmâ mess out and away.
Namjoon is smart, so it only took him a minute to piece everything together and figure out what actually happened at the party.
šIâm sorry, baby,â he says, putting a comforting hand on your thigh.
An idea forms in your mind the moment his hand makes contact with your thigh, and you call yourself a genius.Â
Placing your hand on top of Namjoonâs, you look at him for any type of response or reaction, but he doesnât move; completely focused on his computer. Using your own hand, you move his up only slightly until his fingertips come in contact with the brim of your skirt. Still, he doesnât react, and you grow frustrated.Â
You keep moving his hand until itâs on your inner thigh, and finally he realizes whatâs happening.
He looks up at you, as if he were asking âyou seriously wanna do this?â. Your response wouldâve been âyesâ.
Namjoon glances towards his door, aware of the fact that it was unlocked and not caring in the slightest. On his own, he continues the path up your skirt until his fingernail is lightly scratching at your clothed cunt, the delicate touch giving you the familiar sensation you had longed for.
He does this only for a few more seconds, eager at the fact that a touch so simple already has you soaking through your panties. And, speaking of panties, he slides them down only slightly, just enough for him to do as he pleases.
The pad of his thumb finds your clit, you try your hardest to keep your reactions to a minimum as starts to move it in slow circles. Namjoon changes his pattern every few moments, going from circling your bud to using his thumb to stroke it in a straight line.Â
His chin is resting in the palm of his free hand, and heâs watching you as if this entire situation was amusing. And, in his eyes, it really was. It was so easy for him to get you worked up; his words alone could make you wet. Namjoon wasnât exactly the âsecret loverâ the paparazzi wouldâve thought of (with him being your manager and all), but there really was no one else you could see yourself with.
Thereâs muffled talking outside of Namjoonâs door, and youâre suddenly snapped out of your daze. The talking continues on, and youâre worried whoeverâs on the other side will be barging in unannounced in a matter of seconds. Even if Namjoon had completely removed himself from you in time, would you have a reasonable explanation as to why youâre sat on his desk? With your legs wide open? And panties on the floor?
Suddenly, you canât even think straight; while you were in mild panic, Namjoon had slid a finger into you. Remembering thereâs people right outside his door, you donât allow yourself to make single sound. Namjoon is impressed with your actions, and his reward to you is a slow thrust. His long, delicate index finger does a stellar job at keeping you pleased for the time being. A second finger is added only seconds later, and youâre starting to feel stretched out.
The feeling excites you because maybe, just maybe, he was stretching you out to prepare yourself for him. His office isnât exactly the place you imagined your virginity being taken, but youâll settle for anything as long as it was with him.Â
The muffled noises outside is office are long gone, but you still limit the amount of noise youâre making. Especially now when his thrusts had gotten faster, and the look in his eyes had turned dark and full of lust.
A feeling forms in your neck, making its way up to your cheeks. You canât find the words to describe it: like a tingling sensation with a little extra, and it feels so good.
âYou okay?â Namjoon asks, noticing the change in your facial expression.
âSomething feels...strangeâŠâ is all youâre able to make out.
âWhere?â
Your hand taps on your abdomen, and youâre then aware of how weak your body feels. âHere,â closing your eyes, you reach up to touch the side of your neck, then your face, âand here. It feels good.â
Namjoon chuckles, automatically knowing what youâre speaking of, âItâs not a strange feeling, youâre about to have an orgasm.â
That catches your attention. âI am?!â
âWell,â he slides himself completely out of you, âyou were. Not anymore.â
And, like you had felt earlier, there were no words to describe how you were feeling. Namjoon, however, seems like he just canât stop talking.
âRemember earlier when you gave me the silent treatment? This was punishment.â He sets his attention back to his loading computer, watching the screen set up all of his important information.Â
âMaybe you finally get your reward if you act nice on your break.â He slides you a folded piece of paper, and written on it is everything expected for you to do while on your break. It was long and tedious, definitely a lot more than your members would be getting.
But, if Namjoon was going to make you cum as long as you did everything with a smile, youâd do the whole list twice.

An HYH Exclusive Interview with Dominic Mainl
[Over the last six seasons, Dominic Mainl has worked in the camera department on Homeland, working to get the shots you see in each episode onto your screens. For our âOn the Record withâŠâ series, Dom graciously answered our questions about what the Homeland experience has been like, including how he got started, what itâs like to work with cast and crew, and his most vivid memories. Thank you Dom for answering our questions! âthe HYH team]
Hell Yeah Homeland:Â Your first Homeland episode was âTin Man Is Downâ in season three. How did the German guy become a part of the production?
Dom Mainl: Haha, pure luck? In 1998 I moved from tiny Bad DĂŒrrheim, Germany, to Los Angeles because I wanted to work in Hollywood. I was already in the film industry in Germany and wanted to work with the best of the best and that meant moving to Los Angeles. It took a few years and a lot of hard work to âbreak into Hollywoodâ and yet another few years and even harder work to become established, but in the end it all worked out. I worked on the HBO show True Blood and met David Klein, ASC there. I really enjoy working with him and over the years we have become a good team, business partners and most importantly, very good friends. One day my phone rings and Dave said, âHey man, Iâm taking over as the Director of Photography on Homeland. Are you interested? I would love to have you on the crewâ âŠ. and I had no idea what Homeland even was! I had never heard of it! I said yes anyway because I love working with Dave and looked up the show online. So on my way out to Charlotte (where we shot season three) I started watching the first season and really, really liked it. So I was hyped about being part of the project after becoming part of the project.Â
HYH: What do you remember from your first day at set?Â
DM: Every project, whether itâs film, tv or commercials, I have butterflies in my stomach the night before day one. David Klein says, âif youâre not nervous before day one you are phoning it in,â and heâs right. We love what we do and there are so many things that can go wrong, so even after 20+ years I still get nervous. The first day on Homeland was really easy though because all the actors are sooo unbelievably nice. As a focus puller I am quite immersed in all technical things to make sure nothing goes wrong (especially on day one!), so Homeland was no different from other shows in that respect.
HYH:Â We know you canât talk about season eight yet, but looking back at previous seasons, what scenes still stick with you? Why?
DM: This is going to explain a lot about why I love working with Dave Klein: thereâs a shot in season three when Brody is brought back to the US and it's the first time Carrie and Brody meet since he was shipped off to Caracas. Heâs laying on the bed and the camera is right in his face. Carrie steps into the background and has an emotional monologue directed at the sleeping Brody. Remember that?Â
So, my job as a focus puller is to adjust focus during the shot. And I felt strongly about keeping Damian sharp in the foreground although the #1 star of the show just entered our shot and she was the only person talking! General rule of thumb for focus pullers: make sure the person talking is sharp. If a lot of people talk, make sure the star of the show is sharp... So here I was, new to the show, and breaking all the rules at once. But, to me, it felt so damn powerful to stay on Brodyâs face to see his reaction as he slowly wakes to Carrieâs words, until he opens his eyes and (eventually) turns around. So I discussed this with Dave and he brought this idea up with director Lesli Linka Glatter and the producer/creator Alex Gansa and we ended up shooting two versions of this scene, one with the focus shifting to Carrie as she enters the frame and one that stayed with Brody. To Dave's credit he fought for my idea and in the end they used my version. That shows you how amazing it is to work with Dave Klein--youâre truly a part of the team.
HYH:Â Thinking of some iconic Homeland scenes (pretty much all the scenes which left us heartbroken)--like Brodyâs death scene, Quinn driving into a lethal hail of bullets--how much time did you have to prepare these scenes? How do you in the camera and photography department plan for these scenes? How many times do you shoot them before you got the material we see in the final and aired cut?
DM: Brodyâs death was rather emotional for the crew as well because that was the very last shooting day of the season. We were shooting all night in Morocco and we had to bid Damian adieu after we wrapped. It was almost the same with Quinn, although we had a few days of shooting left after we killed off Rupertâs character⊠But Rupert served the crew champagne after the day ended, still bloodied from the scene, which was very sweetâŠ. plus the bubbly was rather good so I didnât mind killing him off, haha. As far as preparation for these scenes go, it's the same as for any other shot--for me, anyways. I prepare the gear the same way I would for any other scene as reliability is key. The most important part is that the equipment is functioning flawlessly because, in the end, if the camera doesnât record whatâs in front of it⊠why are we there?
HYH: Homelandâs main cinematographer is David Klein, and you two have worked together on many episodes over the years. Can you describe the working relationship between the two of you?Â
DM: I was asked the same questions a few years ago and I have the same answer: itâs a privilege to work with David Klein because you get to work with him and not just for him. There is a fundamental difference. Of course, heâs the boss and all departmental decisions are his to make but he actively involves the camera operators and the focus pullers in the process and thatâs what makes it so much fun! Sure, it really does take a while to establish such a good rapport and a working relationship like ours, because it is 100% built on trust. The example I mentioned [earlier] shows that we have each otherâs back and thatâs when you can get really creativeâŠ
HYH: Speaking of the art of cinematography and photography, how would you describe Homelandâs visual/photographic DNA?
DM: Thatâs a question for David Klein, haha. Of course I have my 2 cents but thatâs not for me to answerâŠ
HYH: What's your secret about taking the perfect shot?
DM: Generally speaking, preparation. Hard work beats talent unless talent works hard. The perfect shot is when all the elements come together in synchronized harmony. Think of it as choreography - the actors, the frame, focus and camera platform (hand-held, dolly or Steadicam, etc.)⊠everything that moves, everything needs to be perfectly in sync to achieve what the director or the DP had in mind and there is a lot that can go wrong. But when it all goes right, it seems effortless. Whatâs my secret? Easy: Donât fuck it up. Donât be the one element that blows the shot.
HYH: Youâve traveled with the Homeland production all over the world -- to South Africa, Germany, Morocco, and several locations in the US. Which trip did you enjoy the most and which one was the hardest work? Why?
DM: I really enjoyed Morocco. And I really disliked Morocco. For clarification, I met my wife in Morocco while shooting the finale for season three there and I will always have fond memories of that time. And I disliked season eight in Morocco, because even though my wife had become a member of the crew by then (she is the script supervisor for season eight), shooting there the second time around was unnecessarily complicated and frustrating for reasons I will not go into detail at this pointâŠ. but it really wasnât much fun.
We loved South Africa a lot, too. That was probably one of my favorite seasons. Not necessarily the scripts but the location.
HYH: Compared to other jobs you did before, whatâs different about working on Homeland?
DM: After 7 years (well, on and off) of True Blood I was happy I didnât have to work with vampires and at night anymore. The spy game turned out to be fun and intriguing but you pay the price for getting to see the world. The biggest challenge was the constant shifts in location. One, because we ship a lot of camera gear around the world which adds a ton of work and stress (carnets, inventory, maintenance, etc.). Two, itâs really hard to find and keep a good crew around and given we were on the road for six years we had to start over almost everywhere we went and train the team to the workflow that Dave and I have had established. I admit, I am quite demanding and finding a crew that could do the job to my expectations in all those locations was not easy. But we ended up making some life-long friends⊠and probably a handful of enemies too, haha.
HYH: From what we were able to follow on social media, we got the impression that filming season eight has been a long and tough journey, much harder than previous seasons. Is there anything you can share about the reasons why?
DM: Well, if you go into Africa expecting you can shoot an American TV schedule with an international crew within the same time frame and on the same budget... you have to be crazy! But there isn't just one party to blame for the exhausting Moroccan portion of season eight but rather a combination of unfortunate misunderstandings paired with inexperience and a healthy dose of negligence. As they say, âeverything that could go wrong, did.â
HYH: Was there ever a scene for which you had just one take to get it right? Which one?
DM: Letâs just say there is going to be an explosion in season eight and we only had one try at it. And we nailed it.
HYH: For the tech nerds among us, what's your favorite camera and objective and which scene you shot with it comes to your mind?
DM: Hands down, the ARRI Alexa Mini. Homeland is a predominantly handheld show in order to keep the tensions high while (subconsciously) keeping the audience always on the edge of [their] seat. If the cameras are handheld the image constantly moves. You can even see/feel the breathing of the camera operators. The Alexa Mini is lightweight yet robust and the sensor is the best money can buy. We used ARRI Master Primes for added sharpness for seasons five, six, seven, and eight, but sprinkled in a few Zeiss Supreme Primes this year to take off a little bit of weight. We also like to use Canon Cinema Zooms for their high quality.
HYH:Â Butter bei die Fische (Nowâs the time for straight talk), why is Homeland still filmed in HD?
DM: Because Showtime wants it that way. I wouldâve loved to shoot 4K or with a different aspect ratio or utilize a different sensor size but the people at the helm want to keep it âthe way it was.â
HYH: Homelandâs eighth and final season is wrapping up and now airing. How does it feel that the show is coming to an end soon?
DM: Itâs bittersweet. I have had some of the best and some of the worst moments of my career on the set of Homeland and I know I will miss it down the road but right now Iâm happy that Carrie finally gets toâŠ. Never mind, canât tell you that, haha. I know Iâll miss it but weâre just exhausted right now.
HYH: What other projects are you working on after Homeland? Any plans yet?
DM: Vacation. No more jobs in 2019 and hopefully a good movie with a good script in 2020. I think after six years of spy TV I want to take a break from the small screen, if possible.

FOR THE CHATTY ASK MEME: 3, 13, 47, 97 :D
AAAAA Thank you Natsumi!!! but OH BOI this is gonna get long and gonna be difficult sdghj
3). Top 5 favorite songs.
oh this, this is a hard questiond bljghjhgad iâm more of a classical music nerd and they are technically not songs (except the actual songs which,, I donât dig as much as the instrumentals lmao) so this is gonna be more of âsongs I dig and can listen to very much w/o getting tired of themâ than favourites dfghj
in no particular order:
Deliver Us from The Prince fo Egypt
Lay All Your Love On Me by ABBA
Fairytale by Alexander Rybak
Peace Sign by Kenshi Yonezu
One Day More from Les Misérables
13). Biggest accomplishment?
Natsumi⊠Natsumi Iâm 19 what have I done I havenât done much in my life Iâve been in school Iâm,,,, there is literary nothing I have done I havenât won any prices and such (I mean I did when I was a kid but) jsdjkhfuihj
I guess??? my biggest accomplishment is taking the leap and getting a new cello teacher??? yeah
47). Whatâs your #1 pet peeve?
Ok this is gonna sound really silly but I looked inside myself and this was the first to come to my mind (I mean this and littering but the latter makes me more sad + irritated and this just makes me irritated fsjh) but ok here it goes. The swedish words De (they) and Dem (them)* often get mixed up and I mean I 10000% understand that, it is hard sometimes (especially if youâre not swedish) but whenever I see âdemâ used when âdeâ should be used it stings a little and on top of that both of them are pronounced âdomâ, which adds to the confusion. But âdomâ is also 100% usuable in written language nowadays and dgfghf seeing that extra âmâ on a âdeâ word just.. looks weird to me and dfgjkhsad. However if âdeâ is used where âdemâ should be I am 100000% fine and calm with it.
In conclusion an extra âmâ just makes me irritated lmao
*not the pronouns. The pronoun they/them in swedish is hen
97). Name 3 things you love about yourself.Â
My freckles!!! They are my babies I love them.
And I like my eyes too, theyâre cool! sgdhsf I feel like I need a thing that isnât a physical trait but idk Iâm mostly conflicted within myself sdgf but I guess I love my ability to play cello!
#ask meme#asks#chibicrow#that pet peeve is 100000% presented by The Local PkmnGO Discord Server Admin Who Always Uses 'Dem'#sorry this is so late!!! the song question killed me#also if it weren't so damn hot I would've probably done this a lot faster dsfgagslkjsds#but yeah it was fun!!! even though the song question was hard asdfs#tho tbh if it would be about classcal pieces it would also be really hard bc THERE IS SO MUCH AND I LIKE SO MUCH OF IT SDASDFASASKLJ#thank you again Natsumi!!

20 Standout Roots and Americana Albums of 2020: 10-1
Last week, I brought you the first half of my list of standout roots music albums of 2020. In a normal year (aka a year when the entire music world wasn't stuck at home with nothing to do but make albums), a lot of those would have made it into the Top 10. But this was a stacked year for roots albums, with some of the biggest names in Americana releasing and some the genre's young rising stars truly emerging. So here are my favorite 10 standout roots albums of 2020. Where I reviewed the album, I have provided a link to the full review. Where I didn't, I have linked a YouTube video of one of the album's songs.
A note on my methodology, just to curb the outrage. My list has always excluded live albums, re-records, cover albums, and compilations, just to keep the number manageable. So that's why you won't see Sturgill Simpson's excellent Cuttin' Grass or Margo Price's Perfectly Imperfect listed here. I broke that rule twice this year, but have endeavored to explain why in the individual comments.
10. Will Kimbrough- Spring Break Being isolated from studios, with session players, producers, and engineers has been a hurdle for many roots music artists when making new albums. Not for Will Kimbrough, who has been all of those things during his career. Kimbrough's aptly titled Spring Break is a spare but well-produced mix of co-writes with friends and observations on isolation, wanderlust, and how political divisions change friendships.
9. Margo Price- That's How Rumors Get Started It's a rare year that a superstar like Margo Price releases a new album and it doesn't get mass press all year long. Aside from the obvious reasons for that, it was the release of her stellar live album Perfectly Imperfect- Live From the Ryman that really got all of the attention. But don't sleep on That's How Rumors Get Started. While Price maintains all of the hallmarks that made her past two albums a success, she also tapped into the rock and roll thunder of a post Sound & Fury Sturgill Simpson, who produced the album. Album standout âTwinkle Twinkleâ rocks as hard as any rock song released in 2020.
8. Corb Lund- Agricultural Tragic It only takes one listen to Corb Lund's music to know that, unlike countless other be-hatted country artists crooning about tractors on commercial radio, he grew up farming and ranching. Lund's music often centers around rural life, but never the romanticized âmade-for-TVâ rural stereotype peddled by the Jason Aldeans of the world. Lund's new album, Agricultural Tragic, is more of what fans have come to expect from Lund. His affable personality and Canadian-dry sense of humor perfectly embodies the unflappable mix of optimism and fatalism of unprofitable horse ranchers and men with regrettable drunken tattoos.
7. Jill Andrews- Thirties Jill Andrews is at her best when she lays herself completely, often uncomfortably, bare. She does it throughout Thirties. The album is a chronicle of a decade filled with falling in and out of love, single parenting, and struggling with voices from the past. There are raw moments on Thirties that are beautiful in their intimacy, and others aching in their honesty. But all are full of the brilliant songwriting that has marked Andrews' career.
6. The War and Treaty- Hearts Town 2019 Americana Emerging Artist winners The War and Treaty's debut album was an intimate affair, a couple's love on display in all its glory and pain. With their Rounder debut Hearts Town, the duo of Michael and Tanya Trotter take inspiration from a divided world to spread that love to their fellow man. There is still that core of intimacy, moments where Michael and Tanya seem to be singing only to each other, the audience voyeurs. But those glimpses also bring songs like â5 More Minutesâ, Tanya's plea to a near suicidal Michael to give her just âfive more minutes to love you.â This is where The War and Treaty thrive, wrapping serious moments in boogie-worthy James Brown soul.
5. Jake Blount- Spider Tales Did you ever have that one teacher who excelled in making his subject so entertaining and engaging that you didn't even know you were learning until it was over. Jake Blount is one of those teachers. His Spider Tales is a remarkably researched dive into the deep, and tragically forgotten, history of black string music and how many of the traditional songs by white men were inspired (if not outright written) by black artists. If that sounds dry to you, then you're going to be surprised by Spider Tales. Blount's instrumental finesse and world-weary voice let the album be enjoyed strictly as a musical entity, though the detailed liner notes about each song are worth the read. Blount has emerged as black string music's most valuable historian since Dom Flemons.
4. Emily Barker- A Dark Murmuration of Words America has slept for far too long on the talents of Emily Barker. The Australian-born British resident has always been more popular âacross the pondâ than here, and that's a real loss for all of us. I wish I could say A Dark Murmuration of Words was the album that changed that, but it isn't likely in a nation always on the lookout for the next bubblegum distraction. Instead, Barker channels Joni Mitchell, singing scathing protest songs about environmental devastation and racial white washing in a voice so tremulous and sweet that the message sneaks up on you. For those willing to face uncomfortable truths with Barker, the reward is a stunningly beautiful album in every way.
3. Tami Neilson- Chickaboom! To call New Zealander Tami Neilson a force of nature would be to vastly overstate the power of a hurricane. Gifted with a personality and swagger even bigger than her trademark bouffant, Neilson's Chickaboom! is a celebration of pure unabashed musical pleasure. If the confident swagger of Joan Jett met the pure charisma of Dolly Parton and melded the rockabilly fury of Wanda Jackson, you'd have Tami Neilson. But songs like âQueenie Queenieâ and âCall Your Mamaâ hide some serious messaging, from the brush off of a cheating lover to the longing for another one to the fact that âthey won't play a lady-o on country radio.â
2. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit- Reunions/Reunions Live at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville I mentioned I was going to break my âno live albumsâ rule in this list and this is where I do it, albeit paired with a studio release. It's pretty much a given at this point that any release by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit is going to be brilliant. It's not hyperbole to say he's Americana's best songwriter since John Prine and his longtime backing band is so tight it's impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins. Reunions mixes the intensely personal songs of Southeastern the social observation so often found on his Twitter page. From the âwe need a battle cryâ of âBe Afraidâ to equating the physical distance of he and wife Amanda Shires touring separately to a couple experiencing a marital separation. So why the live album add-on? Because one complaint by some who weren't as impressed by Reunions was a feeling it was âoverproducedâ but who still want Isbell's powerful lyrics will want Live at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, which is Reunions played in its entirety in stripped down renditions featuring just Isbell and Shires.
1. Sarah Jarosz- World on the Ground This is the first time since Southeastern that Jason Isbell hasn't released my favorite album of a given year. That's not a knock on Isbell so much as a testament to just how strong World on the Ground is. There is no artist in root music today more reliable than Sarah Jarosz. At this point, the question is only will the album be amazing or transcendent. World on the Ground is transcendent, Jarosz's best work since 2011's Follow Me Down. Jarosz's pairing with producer John Leventhal is perfect. Leventhal draws out every ounce of the lyrical and instrumental brilliance Jarosz has to offer. The result is an album full of gentle but powerful songs that will stay with you long after your first (or in my case, thousandth) listen.

I often bitch about Cooper because heâs constantly blaming Red for the dangers in Lizâs life. Yes, Red brings a certain danger to her life. But I think the biggest danger in her life has been her love for Tom Keen. Had it not been for, Red wouldâve killed him long ago.Â
But seriously, no matter what happens with him revealing that immunity deal, I fucking love Cooper right now. I recently posted about some of the things theyâve been through, even far back to season one. Taking ballerina Bethâs bracelet out of evidence to remind her of the good they do, telling her sheâs strong enough to get through this. Now willing to shut down the blacklist for her.Â
He told her that he cares for her as if sheâs his own daughter, and she told him she wanted to learn Redâs truth no matter the cost. Had it been Red, Cooper wouldnât have went behind Panabakerâs back to reveal that immunity agreement. Nope, he did it for Liz because thatâs what she wanted. Never mind the rest of the task force, even though the entire team has been paying the price. Liz was paying for much of it, but again, all blame canât be on Red.Â
Blame and responsibility circulates all. Itâs a shame this team is still struggling with lies and secrecy. Liz now, like when she faked her death. But they gotta add drama to the mix, so I guess. I personally think itâs needed. Nothing like placing Red in Domâs position by having him watch his daughter destroy her soul. Why not.Â
Perhaps Lizâs intent with Ressler and everyone else, is to push them away so they donât get too close to her secret. What fear she must be dealing with, all the loved ones sheâs lost already. Anyway.... yeah. I love Cooper right now.Â

Where the Locals go in Cologne
The capital of the German state North Rhine-Westphalia and the largest city on the Rhine, Cologne seems to have it all, including a convenient location: Brussels, Amsterdam, Luxembourg and Paris are all four hours by train, so itâs worth dropping by for a visit to see and experience all the city has to offer: from the famous cathedral and the Rhine promenades to the ubiquitous 0.2L Kölsch beer glasses (and the unusual serving habits!) and its famously hospitable & warm residents. Follow these tips by Cologne locals and get a taste of why some call Cologne Italyâs northernmost city!
Neighborhood gathering point
When in Germany, visit a beergarden! Picture by Robert Brands
Cologne has plenty of beer gardens and outdoor drinking locations, but this oneâs local Marcelâs favorite. Leafy Rathenauplatz is mainly used as a neighborhood park and meeting point, and even when it gets crowded in summer (itâs a popular public viewing spot for international football events), it never feels hectic or unpleasant. Thatâs mainly because the community takes care of it itself â they operate the beer garden and thereâs even a book-swap shelf and a boules field. Get a snack from one of the surrounding shops & restaurants and have a seat on a bench or on the grass!
 A postcard for every taste
Want to send a card home? Youâll find the perfect one here. Photo by Julia Krakau
Germanyâs biggest treasure trove for postcards is right in Cologne! Around 50,000 postcards are said to be stored in W. Königs Postkartenladen (or postcard shop). It has two floors, and on the first floor youâll find a modern gift and souvenir shop, but itâs on the second floor where itâs truly at. Take your time and browse through the vintage cardboards with yellowed hand-written index cards that are somehow reminiscent of old videoclubs and youâre bound to find something a card you just wonât be able to leave behind.
 Πbar in a âshared apartmentâ
Share a beer in this cozy hostel bar when youâre in Cologne. Photo by Wohngemeinschaft
Wohngemeinschaft literally means shared apartment, and this hostel bar is modeled after an international common living area complete with 16 different rooms. With its fair prices, cool ambience, live music nights, travel presentations and language exchange evenings, it not only attracts open-minded and social travelers, but also a lot of locals!
 Reclaiming the neighborhood kiosk
This former kiosk is now a spot for cultural events and, of course, coffee! Photo by Julia Krakau
The kiosk, or bĂŒdchen, located at the corner of Remigiusstrasse and Lotharstrasse in SĂŒlz is the âBĂŒdchenâ of local Juliaâs childhood. As she grew older, the kiosk was getting shabbier, until one days it closed down. However, it was taken up by the neighborhood, including Julia, and now theyâre running it together and organising small concerts, art exhibitions and of course always selling coffee, ice cream and sweets with a smile. It has brought together neighbors and created new bonds â a true gem in this overly commercialised and impersonal age.
 A modern traditional restaurant
For a proper German schnitzel, visit Bei Oma Kleinnman, it doesnât get more authentic than this. Photo by Mareen Wolf
When local Stephan feels hungrier than usual, he heads out to Bei Oma Kleinmann (Granny Kleinmannâs). Here they specialise in schnitzel in all its shapes and forms, and they even have a few vegetarian varieties! They also have weekly seasonal specials like chanterelles, asparagus or roast goose. You can either make a reservation or do a walk-in and wait in line at the homely old beer bar with a Kölsch (or two) in hand.
 A true underground rock ânâ roll bar
If rockânâroll gets you dancing, donât skip the Sonic Ballroom for a night out. Photo by Jackenberg
Ehrenfeld has gained a reputation for being the coolest, punk-est (or, letâs face it, more Berlin-like) of Cologneâs neighborhoods. The Sonic Ballroom is one of the staples in the rockânâroll topography of the district, and whereas other nearby venues take more of a pop-rock approach, this oneâs remains firmly in the hand of the (true) underground. Punters range from punks with mohawks to metalheads â and a concert schedule to match. Come here for your fix of electric guitars, sweat and cheap beer.
Memorials to armed resistance against Hitler
Youâll see things from WWII everywhere in Germany, Cologne included. Photo by wwwupertal
While weâre still in Ehrenfeld, you can find murals and memorial plaques next to the train station dedicated to the EdelweiĂpiraten. This was a loosely knit youth-group that had been organised to oppose the predominance of the Hitler Youth. Thirteen of them, including several teenagers and Hans SteinbrĂŒck, their leader, were executed without trial in a public hanging in the very same area where the memorials stand today on November 10, 1944. Another annual tribute to them is the EdelweiĂpiratenfestival, a music and culture festival held in the Friedenspark in the south of the city.
Cologneâs best viewpoint
Always find a viewing point when you travel, this one in Cologne is spectacular!
If youâre in Cologne, chances are that at some point youâll try to take a shot of the beautiful Rhine and its riverside promenade together with the Dom (the Cathedral) and the rest of the cityscape. Thereâs no better place to do that than from somewhere up high, and more specifically the KölnTriangle, a skyscraper on the other side of the Rhine. From the viewing platform not only do you get a 360° view of the Dom, the old city and the other areas of Cologne, thereâs also information on what youâre seeing.

Web Hosting: Paid or free?
Everyone loves free hosting and it doesn't come as a surprise that free web hosting services are wildly popular. You can use free web hosting to learn web development. But unless you are planning to make a business online or run a personal website, we would not recommend using a free web hosting service. We love them, we have even created the finest free internet hosting guide, but using them for business reasons is full of prospective problems that make it difficult to suggest.
Unlike free software, services (such as web hosting or VPN) cost cash to operate, which is why most web hosting businesses use a freemium business model and attempt to persuade you to switch to a cheap, paid service. Free hosting gets a number of limitations on disk space and bandwidth. You will not get an SSL certificate that is a sine qua non-condition for running a suitable company website. You will not have periodic backups and some will even shut down your website for an hour a day! Instead, we would recommend that you check out our best web hosting guide that we update regularly to include the hottest deals around the world. Share your thoughts about those web hosting in the comment box.

Rihanna Joins LVMH to Launch Fashion House Under Fenty Label
Pop star Rihanna is joining LVMH to launch a fashion house under her Fenty brand, pairing the worldâs largest luxury conglomerate with one of the biggest cultural influencers.
The Paris-based label will make its debut this spring, selling ready-to-wear clothing, shoes and accessories, LVMH said in a statement confirming earlier reports on the plans to expand their partnership. The Barbadian singer and the owner of Louis Vuitton and Dom Perignon already launched a hit makeup line in 2017.
The move represents a rare foray into building a new brand for LVMH, which has focused on acquiring labels with prestigious histories ranging from Christian Dior Couture to Rimowa suitcases. Rihanna joins other singers, like Beyonce, in developing their own fashion lines to capitalize on Instagram-fueled celebrity buzz thatâs driving industry sales.
LVMH Chief Executive Officer Bernard Arnault âhas given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits,â said Rihanna, whose surname is Fenty.
The deep-pocketed French company is led by the worldâs third-richest person, with an $88 billion fortune, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. No financial details of the agreement were provided.
LVMHâs Fenty Beauty by Rihanna makeup line, sold principally through the companyâs Sephora beauty chain, reached almost 500 million euros ($562 million) in sales during its first full year of business. The brandâs move to sell 40 shades of foundation was lauded for its appeal to customers with a diverse range of skin tones â and competitors like Procter & Gamble Co.âs CoverGirl and Ulta Beauty Inc.âs Flesh raced to add new shades to their own lines.
No More Targets
The move to invest in a new fashion house comes as LVMH runs out of M&A targets in its key fashion and leather division. American challengers like Michael Kors parent Capri Holdings Ltd. and Coach owner Tapestry Inc., Chinese groups Fosun International Ltd. and Shandong Ruyi, private equity funds and the Qatari royal family have all scrambled to buy European luxury labels, pushing up asset prices. Families controlling prestigious brands like Hermes and Chanel have resisted putting their companies up for sale.
Faced with the dearth of opportunities for splashy fashion acquisitions, LVMH has used the windfall from surging Chinese luxury demand to simplify its structure â buying out the parts of the Christian Dior business that had previously belonged to a separate Arnault holding â as well as diversifying through investments in e-commerce and travel.
Rihanna previously served as a brand ambassador and creative director for the sportswear company Puma SE, which was formerly controlled by LVMH rival Kering SA. Beyonce last month signed with Adidas AG to develop footwear and apparel under her Ivy Park label.
âThrough our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I discovered a true entrepreneur, a real CEO and a terrific leader,â Arnault said.

Test On as Many Platforms and Devices as Possible
 I. Website Loading Speed Time
 On the web, time is of the essence. Websites all around the world load pretty slow, with an average of 19 seconds to load on a 3G mobile network. Testing has confirmed that around 50% of users abandon a website if it doesnât load faster than 3 seconds, on average.
 If your website loads slowly, you can lose a lot of visitors.
 Disclaimer & Warning: Playing with PHP, servers, databases, compression, minification and other similar things can really mess up your website if you donât know what youâre doing. Make sure you have a proper backup of the files and the database before you start playing with these options.
 When we talk about speed, there are a few things we need to consider for making your site efficient and easy to access for your users. A faster loading speed time means higher conversion and lower bounce rates. For that, weâve selected some mandatory speed optimization suggestions. Using Googleâs Speed Test, you can perform easy and short analyses of your websiteâs loading speed time.
The tool has improved over the years and now you can see helpful charts for large websites to understand how each website is performing. One example is the Page Load Distributions.
  The Page Load Distribution uses two user-centric performance metrics: first, contentful paint (FCP) and DOMContentLoaded (DCL). The contentful paint marks the first bit of content there is on the screen when the browser starts to render pixels. The DOMContentLoaded marks the moment when the DOM is ready and there are no stylesheets that are blocking JavaScript execution. These two metrics show exactly which percentage of the content loads faster and the one that needs improvement by looking at those pages with average and slow speed (if you follow the chart).
 Another example includes the speed and optimization indicators which show where each website is situated. In the picture showed below, we can see the FCP and DCP score. These two metrics use the data from the Chrome User Experience. It indicates the pageâs median FCP (1.8s) and DCL (1.6s) ranks it in the middle third of all pages. That means this page has a low level of optimization because most of its resources are render-blocking.Â
  1. Improve Server Response Time
 Server response time refers to the period of time it takes to load the HTML code to begin rendering the page from your server. Basicaly, when a you access a page, it sends a message to the server and the time it take to show you that information is considered to be the server response time.
 There are lots of reasons why a website has a slow response time. Google announces just some of them:
There are dozens of potential factors which may slow down the response of your server: slow application logic, slow database queries, slow routing, frameworks, libraries, resource CPU starvation, or memory starvation. Google Developers Â
The server response time depends on how much time the Googlebot needs to access the data. Be it 1, 2 ,3 seconds or more, it will convert your visitor or not. Google says that you should keep the server response time under 200ms.
 There are 3 steps you need to follow to test and improve the server response time:
Firstly, you need to collect the data and inspect why the server response time is high.
Secondly, measure your server response time to identify and fix any future performance bottlenecks.
Lastly, monitor any regression.
 Many times, the reason why a website loads slow is the server itself. Itâs very important to choose a high quality server from the beginning. Moving a site from a server to another might sound easy in theory, but it can be accompanied by a series of possible problems such as file size limits, wrong PHP versions and so on.
 Choosing the right server can be difficult because of pricing. If youâre a multinational corporation, you probably need dedicated servers, which are expensive. If youâre just starting out with a blog, shared hosting services will probably be enough, which are usually cheap.
 However, there are good shared hosting servers and bad dedicated ones and vice versa. Just donât go after the cheapest or the most renowned. For example, Hostgator has excellent shared hosting services for the US, but not so excellent VPS ones.
 2. Optimize & Reduce Image Size Without Affecting the Visual Appearance
 If a website is loading really slow, one of the first things that come in mind are images. Why? Because theyâre big. And weâre not talking in size on screen but in size on disk.
 Besides all the information an image has, as mentioned before, it also downloads lots of bytes on a page, making the server take more time than it should to load all the information. Instead, if we optimize the page, the server will perform faster because we removed the additional bytes and irrelevant data. The fewer the downloaded bytes by the browser, the faster a browser can download and render content on the screen.
 Since GIF, PNG, and JPEG are the most used types of extension for a picture, there are lots of solutions for compressing images.
 Source: www.cssscript.com
Here are a few tips and recommendations to optimize your images:
Use PageSpeed Insights;
Compress images automatically in bulk with dedicated tools (tinypng.com, compressor.io, optimizilla.com) and plugins (WP Smush, CW Image Optimizer, SEO Friendly Images) and so on;
Use GIF and PNG formats because they are lossless. PNG is the desired format. The best compression ratio with a better visual quality can be achieved by PNG formats;
Convert GIF to PNG if the image is not an animation;
Remove transparency if all of the pixels are opaque for GIF and PNG;
Reduce quality to 85% for JPEG formats; that way you reduce the file size and donât visually affect the quality;
Use progressive format for images over 10k bytes;
Prefer vector formats because they are resolution and scale independent;
Remove unnecessary image metadata (camera information and settings);
Use the option to âSave for Webâ from dedicated editing programs.
 Source: www.quora.com
 If youâre using WordPress, you can choose a simple solution, such as the Smush Image Compression Plugin.
 Update: As of 2019, Google PageSpeed Insights recommends using new format images such as JPEG2000 or WEBP. However, not all browsers and devices display these formats well yet, so regular image compression is still recommended, despite Google making efforts to push this.
 You can see which images are the biggest on your website with the Site Audit by CognitiveSEO. Simply head to the Images section, under Content. There you can see a list of images over 500kb (consider that for a photographer website, these images might be relatively small in size. However, itâs a good idea to display the full HD version under a sepparate download link).
 The only real issue with PageSpeed Insights is that you can only check one page at a time.
 We, here at CognitiveSEO, know that many of you want to check the PageSpeed Insights in bulk. So thatâs why weâve developed our tool to be able to bulk check the Page Speed Insights scores on multiple pages at the same time:
  However, note that if you have a very big website, this process might take a very long time. Itâs better if you opt out of this process at first before the first analysis is done (so that you may have all the data and start fixing some of the issues) and start the PageSpeed process later. It can take up to 10 seconds per page, so if you have 60,000 pages it can take a week.
  3. Minimize the Render-Blocking Javascript and CSS & Structure HTML Accordingly
 When you perform a speed test with Googleâs PageSpeed Insights, you will see this message: Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content in case you have some blocked resources that cause a delay in rendering your page. Besides pointing out the resources, the tool also offers some great technical SEO tips regarding:
Removing render-blocking JavaScript;
Optimizing CSS delivery.
 You can remove render-blocking JavaScript by following Googleâs guidelines and avoid or minimize the use of blocking JavaScript using three methods:Â
Inline JavaScript;
Make JavaScript Asynchronous;
Defer loading of JavaScript.
 If Google detects a page which delays the time to first render because it contains blocking external stylesheets, then you should optimize CSS delivery. In this case, you have two options:
For small external CSS resources, it is recommended to inline a small CSS file and help the browser to render the page;
For large CSS files, you have to use Prioritize Visible Content to reduce the size of the above-the-fold content, inline CSS necessary for rendering it and then defer loading the remaining style.
 PageSpeed shows which files need to be optimized through the minifying technique. When we talk about resources, we understand HTML, CSS, and JavaScript resources. Basically, the tool will indicate a list of HTML resources, CSS resources, and JavaScript resources, depending on the situation. Below you can see an example of such kind:
  For each kind of resources, you have individual options:
HTMLMinifier to minify HTML;
CSSNano and csso to minify CSS;
UglifyJS to minify JavaScript.
 Below you can see an example on how to minify your CSS:
Source: www.keycdn.com
 There are 3 processes that need to be followed in the minifying process, explained by Ilya Grigorik, Web performance engineer at Google:
Compress the data. After you eliminate the unnecessary resources, you need to compress the ones that the browser needs to download. The process consists in reducing the size of the data to help the website load the content faster.
Optimize the resources. Depending on what sort of information you want to provide on your site, make an inventory for your files and keep only the one that is relevant, to avoid keeping irrelevant data. After you decide which information is relevant to you, youâll be able to see what kind of content-specific optimizations youâll have to do.
Letâs take, for example, a photography website that needs to have pictures with a lot of information, such as camera settings, camera type, date, location, author and other information. That information is crucial for the particular website, while for another website it might be irrelevant.
Gzip compression is best used for text-based data. In the process, you are able to compress web pages and style sheets before sending them to the browser. It works wonders for CSS files and HTML because these types of resources have a lot of repeated text and white spaces. The nice part of Gzip is that it temporarily replaces the similar strings within a text file to make the overall file size smaller.

  For WordPress users there are simpler solutions:
 Autoptimize plugin to fix render blocking scripts and CSS. You need to install the plugin and afterward you can find it in Settings » Autoptimize to configure the settings. All you have to do is check the box for JavaScript and CSS, in our case, and click on Save Changes.
 Source: www.webid-online.com
 W3 Total Cache to fix render-blocking JavaScript. This is another tool provided for WordPress users and it requires a little more work. After you install it, you need to go to Performance » General Settings and look for the Minify section.
 Source: www.factoriadigital.com
 Check the enable box from the Minify option and then in Manual mode. In the end, click on Save all settings and add the scripts and CSS that you want to minify. After that, youâre set.
 However, donât get tricked by Google. The truth is that PageSpeed Insights is just a guideline. For example, PageSpeed Insights shows Analytics and Tag Manager as being JS that blocks the loading of important content. Yet they force you to put it in the <head> section.
 You can follow this guide to better set up the W3 Total Cache Plugin.
 Never remove something that is essential for tracking or for your siteâs functionality just to get 100% score on PageSpeed Insights or GT Metrix.
 4. Limit the Number of Resources & HTTP Requests
 One of the first actions that come to mind when we talk about website speed is reducing the number of resources. When a user enters your website, a call is made to the server to access the requested files. The larger those files are, the longer it will take to respond to the requested action.
 Rapid, multiple requests always slow down a server. Itâs a combination of multiple factors that lead to this, but you can compare it to copying 1 large file on a hard disk against copying a very large number of small files. Usually, the small files take longer to copy because the disk needle has to keep moving. This is different with SSD technology where there are no needles but thereâs still a lot more work to do to copy multiple files than to copy a single larger file.
 To check your HTTP requests, you can open an Icognito (to make sure you donât have cached requests which wonât take place) Tab in Chrome, right click and hit Inspect (at the bottom). Then you need to find the network subtab and hit F5 to refresh the page. This will start monitoring the requests and at the end youâll see the number of requests.
  Thereâs no general number, we can say that you should try to keep this number under 100. This really depends on the page. If itâs a HUGE page, then it can have more requests. Then again, it could be a good idea to paginate it.
 The best thing you can do is delete unnecessary resources (like sliders) and then minimize the overall download size by compressing the remaining resources.
 Another thing you can do is combine the CSS and JS files in a single file so that 1 single request is being made. Plugins such as Autoptimize and W3 Total Cache (both mentioned above) can do this. Through the combine option, the plugin basically takes all the CSS and JS files and merges them into a single file.
 This way, the browser will only have to make one request to the server for all those files instead of one request for each file.
 However, be careful! This option can usually break an entire site or make it display really messed up, so make sure you have a proper backup of the files and database before you start making any changes.
 5. Set a Browser Cache Policy
 The browser cache automatically saves resources in the visitorâs computer the first time they visit a new website. When users then enter the site a second time, those resources will help them get the desired information at a faster speed, if they return to that page. This way, the page load speed is improved for returning visitors.
 For visitors that want to return to a page or visit a new page that in a specific moment canât be accessed, thereâs the option to view the cached version directly from SERP.
  The best way to significantly improve the page speed load is to leverage the browser cache and set it according to your needs.
 Most of the Minification, Compression and Combination plugins are actually cache plugins, so they all have this function. You can use W3 Total Cache or any other caching plugin suits you best. However, a combination between W3 Total Cacheâs caching and Autoptimizeâs compression and combining is best.
 Using a cache will also make changes harder to spot. If you make a change to your website, open an Icognito tab to see the changes and go to the plugin settings from time to time to reset the cache.
 6. Reduce the Number of Redirects & Eliminate Redirect LoopÂ
 Redirects can save you from a lot of trouble regarding link equity/juice and broken pages, but it can also cause you lots of problems if you have tons of them. A large number of redirects will load your websites at a slower speed. The more redirects, the more time a user must spend to get on the landing page.
Plain and simple, WordPress redirects slow down your site. Thatâs why itâs worth taking the time to minimize the number of redirects visitors to your site experience. There are times that itâs appropriate to intentionally create and use redirection, but limit the use of redirection to necessary instances and make sure your visitors have the fastest experience possible when browsing your WordPress website. Jon Penland  Support Engineer at Kinsta / @jonrichpen
 One other thing worth mentioning is that you need to have only one redirect for a page, otherwise you risk having a redirect loop. A redirect loop is a chain of redirects for the same page, which is misleading because the browser wonât know which page to show and will end up giving a pretty nasty error.
 Source: www.matrudev.com
 In case you have 404 pages, there are lots of ways to customize the page and give some guidelines to the users so you wonât lose them. Design a friendly page and send the user back to your homepage or to another relevant and related piece of content.
 For finding the broken pages for your website, you can use the Google Search Console by looking at Crawl » Crawl Errors, then click on Not found (if any).
  Site Explorer offers a similar feature, pointing out the link juice you are losing (the number of referring domains and links for each broken page).
  You can also use the new Technical SEO Site Audit Tool to analyze all your siteâs redirects. After you set up the campaign and the tool finishes crawling and analyzing your site, simply head to Architecture > Redirects.
  7. Avoid Loading Your Site With Too Much Stuff
 Over time, sites tend to get clogged up with useless images, plugins and functions that are never used. Why?
 If you use WordPress, for example, you might test a lot of plugins and install them on your website, only to find out that you donât really need them. Sure, you can disable them and eventually uninstall them but the problem with WordPress uninstalls is that theyâre often dirty, leaving traces in your Database which can make it a little slower.
 Try not to get your site looking like this, itâs probably not the best UX.
 Another very common type of plugin that webmasters use are Sliders. Sliders used to be popular but recent testing has shown over and over again that they kill conversions.
 Not only that, but Sliders also usually load your site with a lot of things you donât need. The first one is usually the Javascript file which tends to load on all pages (either in the footer or the head section of your HTML). However, the slider is most probably used only on the homepage.
 Also, if you have 6 slides on your homepage, with 6 big pretty images, your site can be 2 or 3 times slower because of the size in bytes of the images. Unfortunately, nobody is probably going to look past the second image, if it auto-slides, of course.
 A good workaround is having some sort of development environment where you can test 5-10 plugins until you find exactly what you need. Then, make a plan of implementation so that you know only the essentials you need to install on the live version.
 After that, you can reset the development version by deleting it and copying the updated live version to it. This way, the live version will not be clogged either and will resemble the live version more.
 II. Website Functionality & Usability
 After you make sure your website can load fast for your users, itâs time to see what you can do to improve your visibility in the search engines. There are very many aspects that go into this, but the following ones are a mixture between the most important ones and the most common mistakes that webmasters make.
 8. Make Sure Your Site Is Mobile Friendly
 Thereâs nothing much to say here. Since more than 50% of all the users worldwide are using their mobile devices to browse the internet, Google has prioritized mobile indexation. You should make sure that your website is optimized for mobile devices.
 This is usually meant in terms of design, but also in terms of speed and functionality. Generally, itâs preferred to have a responsive design rather than a fully separate mobile version, as the m.site.com subdomain requires extra steps to be implemented correctly using rel=alternate tag.
 You can ensure that your site is mobile friendly by testing it on Googleâs Mobile Friendly Test Page.
   9. Build Search Engine Friendly URLs
 URLs are very important because itâs good not to change them. This means you have to get them right the first time. Itâs useful for users and search engines to have URLs that are descriptive and contain keywords.
 However, many people often forget this and build websites with dynamic URLs that arenât optimized at all. Itâs not that Google doesnât accept them. They can rank but, eventually, youâll get to the point where youâll have to merge to new ones to improve performance, UX and search engine visibility and itâs going to be a struggle.
 Changing page URLs very often results in issues with search engines. Itâs always better if you get them good the first time.
 Weâve talked on this topic various times before because it is important to have easy-to-follow URLs. Avoid having query parameters in URL. You canât keep track of that URL in Analytics, Search Console and so on. Not to mention it is difficult to do link building. You might lose linking opportunities because of your URLs appearance.
 Source blogspot.com
 If youâre a WordPress user, you have the option to personalize and set up your permalink structure. If you take a look at the next picture, you can see the options you have for your URL structure.
  Building friendly URLs is not so hard, you can follow the next 3 tips:
use dashes (-) instead or underscores (_);
make it shorter;
use the keyword (focus keyword).
 Building easy-to-read and focus-keyword-URLs you are thinking about your users and therefore focusing on user experience. David Farkas has the same vision on the matter:
If you focus on user experience, youâll be building sustainable links â and building trust with users. To build a truly great link, you have to look at every aspect of the link from the userâs perspective. David Farkas Founder & CEO TheUpperRanks
 You can always check your âunfriendlyâ URLs using the CognitiveSEO Site Audit. After you set up your campaign, you just have to go to Architecture > URLs.
  Then youâll be able to see a list of your URLs that donât contain any keywords. You can also identify other issues using this feature. For example, in the following screenshot, although the URLs are blurred in order to protect the clientâs identity, weâve identified a hreflang problem. The titles and content for some secondary languages were generated in the main language when proper content in the secondary language was not provided.
  This means that the URLs were actually OK, just not descriptive due to the content being generated in the wrong language.
 10. Use the Secure Protocol â HTTPS
 On August 6, 2014, Google announced that HTTPS protocol is on their new ranking factors list and recommended to all the sites to move from HTTP to HTTPS.
 HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) encryptes the data and doesnât allow it to be modified or corrupted during transfer, while protecting it against man-in-the-middle attacks. Besides, the improvement in data security has other benefits, such as:
 It helps your website have a boost in rankings, since it is a ranking factor.
It offers referrer details included under âDirectâ traffic source in Google Analytics.
It assures the users that the website is safe to use and that the data provided is encrypted for avoiding hacking or data leaks.
 If you use the HTTPS, will see a lock before the URL in the navigation bar:
  In case your website doesnât use the HTTPS protocol, youâll see an information icon and if you click on it, a new message will alert you that the connection is not safe, therefore the website is not secure.
  While it is best to move from HTTP to HTTPS, it is crucial to find the best way to recover all your data after moving your website. For instance, lots of users complained they lost all of their shares after moving the website and the same thing happened to us.
 After we experienced the same issue, weâve created a guideline on how to recover Facebook (and Google+) shares after an https migration that you could easily follow:
Find out how many Facebook shares you have at a URL;
Set both your HTTP and HTTPs social shares to zero;
Update rel=âcanonicalâ;
Identify Facebookâs Crawler.
 Again, this issue is related to URLs so, every time you need to do mass redirects, issues can occur. Itâs always a good idea to have your URLs well set up from the beginning. However, if you really need to migrate the site from HTTP to HTTPS, you can check out this HTTP to HTTPS migration guide.
 11. Set Your Preferred Version
 You also want to make sure that all your other versions are pointing to the correct, preferred version of your site. If people access one version they should automatically be redirected to the correct version.
 These are all the versions:
http://site.com
https://site.com
http://www.site.com
https://www.site.com
 So, if your preferred version is https://www.site.com, all other versions should 301 directly to that version. You can also test if this is alright in the SEO Audit Tool. Simply head to Indexability > Preferred Domain. Look for the Everything is OK message. If you canât find it, then guess what: not everything is OK.
  12. Set up Correctly the 301 Redirects After Site Migration
 Site migration is a recommended operation in case the website is changed completely and the same domain wonât be used anymore. Setting up the 301 redirects can be applied in case you make a switchover from HTTP to HTTPS and want to preserve the link equity.
 In case of a site migration, it is crucial to set up correctly the redirects. To avoid losing lots of links and have broken pages on your site, it is best to follow a correct 301 redirection procedure. For that, you need to take into consideration the next recommendations. For the vast majority, weâve already covered some of them in the previous steps:
Set up the 301 redirect code from the old URLs to the new URLs;
Avoid redirection loops;
Remove invalid characters in URLs;
Verify the preferred version of your new domain (www vs. non-www);
Submit a change of address in Search Console;
  Submit the new sitemap in Google;Â
Check for broken links and resources.
  13. Make Sure Your Resources Are Crawlable
 Having non-crawlable resources is a critical search engine optimization technical issue. Crawling is the first step, right before indexing, which comes and puts your content in the userâs hands/eyes. Basically, Googlebot crawls the data and then sends it to the indexer which renders the page and after that, if youâre lucky, youâll see that page ranking in SERP.
 www.slideshare.net/ryanspoon
 It is very important that the users see the same content that the Googlebot does.
 If your CSS files are closed from indexing, Google wonât be able to see the pages like a users does. The same situation applies to Javascript, if it isnât crawlable. With JavaScript, it is a little bit more complicated, especially if your site is heavily built using AJAX. It is necessary to write codes for the server to send an accurate version of the site to Google.
 If youâre not blocking Googlebot from crawling your JavaScript or CSS files, Google will be able to render and understand your web pages like modern browsers.
 Google recommends using Fetch as Google to let Googlebot crawl your JavaScript.
 Source www.webnots.com
 Update: As of 2019, the Google Search Console has launched a new version which doesnât have many of the features the old version had. Luckily, you can still access the old version if you need those features. However, they are likely to be completely removed at some point, who knows.
  14. Test Your Robots.Txt File to Show Google the Right Content
 Crawlability issues are usually related to the robots.txt file. Testing your robots.txt file helps Googlebot by telling it which pages to crawl and which not to crawl. By using this method, you give access to your data to Google.
 You can view your robots.txt file online if you search for http://domainname. com/robots.txt. Make sure the order of your files is right. It should look similar to what you can see in the following picture:
  Use the robots.txt Tester tool from Search Console to write or edit robots.txt files for your site. The tool is easy to use and shows you whether your robots.txt file blocks Google web crawlers from specific URLs. The ideal situation would be to have no errors:
  The errors appear when Google is unable to crawl the specific URL due to a robots.txt restriction. There are multiple reasons for that and Google names just some of them:
 For instance, your robots.txt file might prohibit the Googlebot entirely; it might prohibit access to the directory in which this URL is located; or it might prohibit access to the URL specifically. Google Â
 The common issues that appear when Googlebot is blocked to access your website happen because:
There are DNS issues and Google canât communicate with DNS server;
The firewall or DoS protection system is misconfigured ;
The Googlebot is intentionally blocked from reaching the website.
 After youâve checked the issues and found out which are the blocked resources pointed in the Tester tool, you can test again and see if your website is ok.
 The siteâs crawlability can be verified better on a larger scale using the CognitiveSEO Audit Tool. You simply have to go to Indexability > Indexable Pages and look for the Disallowed in Robots.txt links. Click on the red line and it will show you a list of URLs that have been disallowed.
  15. Verify the Indexed Content
 James Parsons, expert in content marketing and SEO, explains in an article on AudienceBloom the crucial significance of the indexing phase for a website.
Indexed pages are those that are scoured by Google search engines for possible new content or for information it already knows about. Having a web page indexed is a critical part of a websiteâs Internet search engine ranking and web page content value. James Parsons Blogger at JamesParsons.com
Search Console can provide lots of insightful information regarding the status of your indexed pages. The steps are simple, go to Google Index then to Index Status and youâll be able to see a similar chart to the one shown below:
  The ideal situation would be that the number of indexed pages is the same as the total number of the pages within your website, except the ones you donât want to be indexed. Verify if youâve set up proper noindex tags. In case there is a big difference, review them and check for blocked resources. If that concluded with an OK message, then check if some of the pages werenât crawled, therefore indexed.
 In case you didnât see something that was out of the ordinary, test your robots.txt file and check your sitemap. For that check the following steps (9 and 10).
 You can also use the Site Audit tool to view the URLs that have been marked up with No-Index tag. Theyâre in the same section as the URLs blocked by Robots.txt (Indexability > Indexable Pages).
  16. Review Your Sitemap to Avoid Being Outdated
 An XML Sitemap explains to Google how your website is organized. An example you can see in the picture below:
 Source: statcounter.com
 Crawlers will read and understand how a website is structured in a more intelligible way. A good structure means better crawling. Use dynamic XML sitemaps for bigger sites. Donât try to manually keep all in sync between robots.txt, meta robots, and the XML sitemaps.
 Search Console comes to rescue once again. In the Crawl section, you can find the Sitemap report, where you can add, manage and test your sitemap file.
 Up to this point, you have two options: test a new sitemap or test a previously added one. In the first case:
Add the Sitemap;
Enter the URL of the sitemap;
Click on Test sitemap and then refresh the page if needed;
When the test is completed, click Open Test Results to check for errors. Fix your errors;
After you fix your errors, click Submit Sitemap.
  In the second case, you can test an already submitted sitemap; click on Test and check the results.
  There are three things you need to do in the situation explained in the second situation.
Update the Sitemap when new content is added to your site or once in a while;
Clean it from time to time, eliminating outdated and bad content;
Keep it shorter so that your important pages get crawled more frequently or break the sitemap into smaller parts. A sitemap file canât contain more than 50,000 URLs and must not be larger than 50 MB uncompressed.
 Using a sitemap doesnât guarantee that all the items in your sitemap will be crawled and indexed, as Google processes rely on complex algorithms to schedule crawling. However, in most cases, your site will benefit from having a sitemap, and youâll never be penalized for having one. Google Â
  17. Review Blocked Resources (Hashbang URLs) with Fetch as Google
 Hashbang URLs (URLs that have the #! in them) can be checked and tested in Fetch as Google now. John Mueller acknowledged that Google has the ability to fetch & render hashbang URLâs via the Search Console.
 Google stopped supporting them on March 30, 2014, and that changed when it announced on October 14, 2015 that it deprecates their AJAX crawling system. At the moment hashbang URLs can be tested.
 Below you can see two situations for the same website. In the first picture, you can see the list of resources before using the fetch and render feature with the hashbang URL and in the second one you can see the situation after the fetch and render action was performed.

 18. Optimize Your Crawl Budget
 The term âcrawl budgetâ started to collect more value when Gary Illyes explained on January 16, 2017 how Google uses it.
 Crawl budget means how many resources are allocated for crawling by a server or how many pages are crawled by the search engines in a specific period of time. Google says that there is nothing to worry if the pages tend to be crawled every day. The issues appear on bigger sites. It is very important to optimize your crawl budget.
 Maria CieĆlak, search engine optimization expert, explains in an article on DeepCrawl the importance of optimizing your crawl budget.
Google is crawling only a particular number of pages on your website, and may sort the URLs incorrectly (I mean differently than you wish). For example, the âAbout usâ page (that doesnât drive sales) can gain more hits than the category listings with the new products. Your aim is to present to Google the most relevant and fresh content. Maria CieĆlak SEO Specialist at Elephate
 The crawl limit rate comes into discussion, which limits the maximum fetching rate for a given site.
 The actions recommended for optimizing the crawl budget are:
Check the soft 404s and fix them using a personalized message and a custom page;
Get rid of duplicate content to avoid wasting crawl budget;
Remove hacked pages;
Prevent indexation for low quality and spam content;
Keep your sitemap up to date;
Correct infinite space issues;
  19. Avoid Meta Refresh for Moving a Site
 Since weâve talked about the redirection plan for migrating a site, it is best to understand why Google doesnât recommend using meta refresh for moving a website. There are three ways to define redirects:
HTTP responses with a status code of 3xx;
HTML redirections using the <meta> element;
JavaScript redirections using the DOM.
 Aseem Kishore, owner of Help Desk Geek.com, explains why it is better not to use this meta refresh technique:Â
Although not particularly dangerous, Meta Refreshes are often used by unscrupulous webpage programmers to draw you into a web page using one piece of content and then redirect you to another page with some other content. Referred to as a black hat technique, most of the major search engines are smart enough not to fall for this method of âcloakingâ web content. Aseem Kishore Owner and Editor-in-Chief at Help Desk Geek.com
When possible, always try to use HTTP redirects, and donât use a <meta> element. HTTP redirection is the preferred option, but sometimes the web developer doesnât have control of the server or canât control it. And they must use other methods. Although HTML redirection is one of them, Google strongly discourages web developers to use it.
 If a developer uses the HTTP redirects and forgets the HTML redirects, they arenât identical anymore and might end up in an infinite loop, which leads to other problems.
 In case you want to move a site, Google guidelines recommend to follow the next steps:
Read and understand the basic knowledge of moving a website;
Prepare the new site and test it thoroughly;
Prepare a URL mapping from the current URLs;
Correctly configure the server to make the redirects to move the site;
Monitor the traffic for old and URLs.
 20. Use Redirect for Flash Site to the HTML Version
 Creating a flash site without a redirect to the HTML version is a big SEO mistake. Flash content might have an appealing look, but just like JavaScript and AJAX, it is difficult to render. The crawler needs all the help it can get to crawl the data and send it to the indexer. The Flash site must have a redirect to the HTML version.
 If you have a pretty site, whatâs the point if Google canât read it and show it the same way youâd want it to? Flash websites might tell a beautiful story, but itâs all for nothing if Google canât render it. HTML is the answer! Build an HTML version with SWFObject 2.0. This tool helps you optimize flash content.
 21. Use Hreflang for Multi-Language Websites
 Hreflang tags are used for language and regional URLs. It is recommended to use the  rel=âalternateâ hreflang=âxâ attributes to serve the correct language or regional URL in Search results in the next situations:
 You keep the main content in a single language and use translate the template (navigation and footer). Best used for user-generated content.
You have small regional variations with similar content in a single language. For a website that uses the English language targeted to the US, GB, and Ireland.
You have a site content that is fully translated. For websites where you have multiple language versions of each page.
 Maile Ohye, former Developer Programs Tech Lead, explains how site owners can expand to new languages variations and keep the search engines friendly: Â
youtube
  Based on these options, you can apply multiple hreflang tags to a single URL. Make sure, though, the provided hreflang is valid:
It doesnât have missing confirmation links: If page A links to page B, page B must link back to page A.
It doesnât have incorrect language codes: The language codes must use them in ISO 639-1 format and optionally the region must be in ISO 3166-1 Alpha 2 format.
 Weâve documented a complete guideline on the vital hreflang & multi-language website mistakes that most webmasters make, that we recommend you to follow.
 Also, you can use the Site Audit to quickly analyze and identify hreflang issues on your website. Simply head to Content > Hreflang/Languages to get a list of your implementation issues. In the following screenshot you can see that this site has a lot of missing confirmation links, which means that Language A Page points to the Language B Page but Language B Page doesnât point back to Language A Page.
  22. Make Sure Your Tracking Is Working Properly
 Tracking your website is really important. Without tracking your results, you wonât be able to see any improvements.
 Tracking issues are common after migrations from HTTP to HTTPS or after minifying and combining JS files. They can break the tracking code resulting in a loss of data.
 You need to make sure that everything is working properly so that you can track the results of the improvements youâre making over time.
 III. Content Optimization
 Now that youâve fixed the general issues that can create crawlability and indexability issues, you can focus more on specific issues regarding your content, such as broken pages, internal linking and so on.
 This is very important if you really want to surpass your competition, especially in highly competitive markets.
 23. Redirect/Replace Broken Links & Resources
 Sometimes the images from a webpage arenât available, so a broken image is displayed in the clientâs browser. It can happen to everybody. There are lots of reasons for that. And it is not a pretty situation. You know the saying: A picture is worth a thousand words and a missing picture with an ugly icon with a message will say something as wellâŠ
  A solution would be to add an error handler on the IMG tag:Â
<img src="http://www.example.com/broken_url.jpg"onerror="this.src='path_to_default_image'" />
Some webmasters say that Chrome and Firefox recognize when images arenât loaded and log it to the console, while others have other opinions.
 Sam Deering, web developer specialized in JavaScript & jQuery, offers some great steps to resolve these issues:
Firstly, search for some information on the current images on page;
Secondly, use AJAX to test if the image exists;
Then refresh image;
Fix broken images using AJAX;
Check the Non-AJAX function version.
In most browsers, the ALT tag is shown if the image is not found. This could be a problem if the image is small and the ALT tag is long as it seems the output width of the element is not forced by the length of the alt tag. Sam Deering Front-end Web Developer
 This is also the case with broken URLs. Although nothing weird will be displayed on the site, if the user clicks on a broken link, it will lead to a bad experience. You can view which resources are broken on your website by heading to the Architecture section in the Site Audit tool.
   24. Audit Internal Links to Improve Your Chances to Rank Higher
 Internal links are the connection between your pages and, due to them, you can build a strong website architecture by spreading link juice, or link equity, as others refer to it.Â
 Creating connections between similar pieces of content creates the terminology of Silo content. This method presumes to create groups of topics and content based on keywords and it defines a hierarchy.
 Source: www.seoclarity.net
 There are a lot of advantages for building internal links because it:
opens the road to search engines spiders by making it accessible;
transfers link juice;
improves user navigation and offers extra information to the user;
organizes the pages based on the keyword used as an anchor text;
highlights the most important pages and transfers this information to the search engines;
organizes site architecture.
 The more relevant pages are combined with each other when crawled repeatedly, and as the crawling frequency rises, so does the overall rank in search engines.
Kasia PerzyĆska Content Marketer Unamo
 When you audit internal links, there are four things that need to be checked:
Broken links;
Redirected links;
Click depth;
Orphan pages;
 You can easily do all of those using the CognitiveSEO Site Audit Tool under Architecture > Linking Structure.
   25. Get Rid of Duplicate Content
 When we talk about technical SEO, we also think of duplicate content, which is a serious problem. Be prepared and review your HTML Improvements from Search Console to remove the duplicates.
 Keep unique and relevant title tags, descriptions within your website by looking into the Search Console at Search Appearance » HTML Improvements.
  In Search Console, you can find a list of all the duplicate content leading you to the pages that need improvement. Remove or review each element and craft other titles and meta descriptions. Google loves fresh and unique content. Panda algorithm confirms it.
 Another option would be to apply the canonical tag to pages with duplicate content. The tag will show to the search engines which is the original source with your rel=canonical tag. Canonicalizing irrelevant URLs to avoid content duplication is a recommended practice.
 Jayson DeMers, Founder & CEO of AudienceBloom, considers that duplicate content can affect your website and discourage search engines to rank your website and it can also lead to bad user experience, as he says on Forbes. Â
Just a few instances of duplicate content can trigger Google to rank your site lower in search results, leaving you unable to recover until those content duplication issues are addressed. Duplicate content can also interfere with your user experience, leaving your site visitors feeling that your site is more fluff than substance. Jayson DeMers  Founder & CEO of AudienceBloom
 The CognitiveSEO Site Audit Tool can not only easily identify Duplicate Content, but it also has a feature to identify near duplicate content, which are pages that are very similar in content but not quite the same.
  Fixing duplicate content issues is critical, especially for eCommerce websites where this practice/issue is common. The tool makes it very easy to fix.
  26. Use Structured Data to Highlight Your Content
 Structured data is the way to make Google understand your content and help the user choose and get directly on the page they are interested in through rich search results. If a website uses structured markup data, Google might display it in SERP as you can see in the following picture:
  Beside rich snippets, structured data can be used for:
Getting featured in the Knowledge graph;
Gaining beta releases and having advantages in AMP, Google News, etc.;
Helping Google offer results from your website based on contextual understanding;

 The language for structured data is schema.org. You can highlight your content using structured data. Schema.org helps webmasters mark up their pages in ways that can be understood by the major search engines.
 If you want to get in rich search results your siteâs page must use one of three supported formats:
JSON-LD (recommended);
Microdata;
RDFa.
 After you highlight your content using structured data, it is recommended to test it using the Google Structured Data Testing Tool. Testing it will give you great directions to see if you set it right or if you didnât comply with Googleâs guidelines because you can get penalized for spammy structured markup.
 Google doesnât guarantee the appearance of each content highlighted using structured data markup.
 27. Keep a Reasonable Number of Links On-Page
 People from the web community often associate pages with 100 links or more with âlink farmsâ. Also, UX has a significant impact on the number of links on a single page. A piece of content abundant of links will distract the users and fail to offer them any piece of information because most of it is linked. You need to add links only where you think it is relevant and it can offer extra information or you need to specify the source.
 Patrick Sexton, Googlebot Whisperer, explains in an article on Varvy why it is important to keep a reasonable amount of links per page:
You may also wish to consider how well your webpage is linked to. If a webpage has many quality links pointing to it, that webpage can have many links (even more than 100) but it is important to remember the reasons why you shouldnât have a huge amount of links on any given page. Patrick Sexton Googlebot Whisperer at Outspoken Media
In general, the more links on the page, the higher the need to keep that page more organized in order for the user to get the information they came for on that page. Also, be careful to search for natural ways to add links and donât violate Googleâs guidelines for building links. The same recommendation applies for internal links.
 28. Avoid Canonicalizing Blog Pages to the Root of the Blog
 John Mueller said in one Google Webmaster Hangout that Googleâs doesnât encourage canonicalizing blog subpages to the root of the blog as a preferred version. Subpages arenât a true copy of the blogâs main page so doing that has no logic.
 You can listen to the whole conversion from minute 16:28:

  Even if Google sees the canonical tag, it will ignore it because it thinks itâs a webmasterâs mistake. Â
 Setting up blog subpages with a canonical blog pointed to the blogâs main page isnât a correct set up because those pages are not an equivalent, from Googleâs point of view. John Mueller Webmaster Trends Analyst at Google
 Canonical links are often misunderstood and incorrectly implemented, so make sure you check all your URLs for bad canonical implementation. You can do this easily with the Technical SEO Audit tool by CognitiveSEO.
  Remember that itâs a good idea to always have a self-referencing canonical tag pointing to your page. This will ensure there are less duplicate content issues.
 IV. User-Friendlier Website
 Google cares about UX, so why wouldnât you? Many experts think that UX is crucial in the future of SEO, especially with all the evolution of machine learning technology. David Freeman, Search Engine Land Columnist, has a strong opinion on the role of UX:
 Part of Googleâs philosophy has always been focused on delivering the best user experience. With recent technological advances, Google and other search engines are now better placed than ever to deliver this vision. David Freeman Group Head of SEO at Treatwell & Search Engine Land Columnist
 29. Set up Your AMP the Right Way â Mobile Friendlier
 Google recommends using AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) to improve the UX, highly valued by the company. Since the Google AMP change will affect a lot of sites, it is best to understand the way it works and the right way to set it up/install it on different platforms: WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Concrete5, OpenCart or generate custom AMP Implementation.
 On this topic, we created a guideline on how to implement AMP because it is a process which needs full understanding. Google AMP doesnât directly affect SEO, but indirect factors that result from AMP can.
Historically, Google has acted as an index that points people away from Google to other websites. With its AMP search results, Google is amassing content on its own servers and keeping readers on Google. Klint Finley Content writer at Wired Business / @klintron
 AMP is pretty difficult to implement correctly. You can always run into issues. Miss one tag closing bracket and you risk your AMP version not displaying at all. You can test the format of all your siteâs AMP pages quickly using the CognitiveSEO Tool.
 In the following example there are no AMP pages set up, but if you have any, you may want to take a look at the Incorrectly set up AMP Pages section to identify the problematic ones:
   30. Add Breadcrumbs for a Better Navigation
 Breadcrumbs, used by Hansel and Gretel to find their way back home, are implemented by websites with the same purpose, to lead the user through the website. They help the visitors understand where are they located on the website and give directions for an easier accessibility.
 Source: www.smashingmagazine.com
 Breadcrumbs can improve the user-experience and help search engines have a clear picture of the site structure. Fulfilling the need to a second navigation on the website, breadcrumbs shouldnât replace the primary navigation though.
 Another advantage of them is that they reduce the number of actions and clicks a user must take on a page. Instead of going back and forth, they can easily use the link level/category to go where they want. A technique can be applied to big websites or e-commerce sites.
 W3Schools exemplifies how to add breadcrumbs in two steps.
Add HTML
<ul class="breadcrumb"> <li><a href="#">Home</a></li> <li><a href="#">Pictures</a></li> <li><a href="#">Summer 15</a></li> <li>Italy</li> </ul>
 Add CSS
/* Style the list */ ul.breadcrumb { padding: 10px 16px; list-style: none; background-color: #eee; } /* Display list items side by side */ ul.breadcrumb li { display: inline; font-size: 18px; } /* Add a slash symbol (/) before/behind each list item */ ul.breadcrumb li+li:before { padding: 8px; color: black; content: "/\00a0"; } /* Add a color to all links inside the list */ ul.breadcrumb li a { color: #0275d8; text-decoration: none; } /* Add a color on mouse-over */ ul.breadcrumb li a:hover { color: #01447e; text-decoration: underline; }
 If you want a simpler solution, you can use plugins for WordPress, such as Breadcrumb NavXT Plugin or Yoast SEO.
  Go to SEO in Dashboard, then click on Advanced and select Enable Breadcrumbs » Save changes. This method will apply the default setting for your breadcrumbs.
 31. Test On as Many Platforms and Devices as Possible
 People use different devices. If you want your users to have a good experience, you need to test on multiple devices. As many as you can!
 You can start with Chrome by right clicking and hitting Inspect. Then you can toggle the device toolbar and select the type of device you want to view your site on.
  You can also use 3rd party tools, such as ScreenFly.
 However, keep in mind that these tools only take the screen width into consideration. For example, if you donât own an iOS device, youâll never know that WEBM format videos donât play on Safari Browser.
 You really need to test on different devices and browsers. Test on Windows, iOS, Linux, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Opera and even the sad, old and forgotten Internet Explorer.
 If you donât own an Android or an iPhone/iPad, go to a store if needed or find a friend. Whenever you can get your hands on a new device, take a minute or two to browse your website.
