Horndragora right. It’s so much more than just oh they want to kill each other I think they should kiss. Horn and Mandragora is this whole roiling emotional subplot that’s just there in chapter ten. These two women who have been left for dead by their respective leaders, who were betrayed. They were both supposed to die in County Hillock (Harmonie saved them both). They’re both so fucking exhausted and they’re holding on by the skin of their teeth and they care and ache so deeply for the people they lead (don’t be fooled by Mandragora’s ranting, she counts the number of dead at whose hands. She is Dublinn for Tara, for Eblana, not for power). Mandragora killed Cello. Horn killed god knows how many. They were in each other’s way. They are the same. While Horn is in the underbelly of Londinium, Mandragora is on the surface consorting with the nobility. As Horn emerges into the light, Mandragora disappears back into the dark.

Horn wanted to save Mandragora but from what? She decided she couldn’t be saved. Better to kill her. So why didn’t she kill Mandragora? With so many opportunities, surely revenge was possible, easy even. Mandragora’s impassioned speech to Horn claiming to have her best interests at heart? Mandragora isn’t the type to lie to others, even if she’s lying to herself. She claimed she was protecting Horn from Londinium and even if she was absolutely not doing it out of the goodness of her heart, well. Maybe that’s as close as Mandragora could get to someone she hated so much.

They claim to hate each other, they do hate each other. Their thoughts for the other are rife with violence and vengeance. I think they’re also two people who would understand each other better than anyone else. Mutual obsession that became madness in the face of being abandoned by everything they believed in.

I have loose draft of it in my note app but I was watching ponyo today for the first time (I cried) plus tiktok gave me an idea for tf ponyo au.

Bee as ponyo, prince of the goldfish, curious bitlet who loves to explore and has a lot of tinier siblings following him around. Megatron who once was a mech turned ocean wizard looks after his son. Soundwave is Grand Mamare and married to Megatron, both caring for each other deeply.

Starscream as Sosuke who is a curious seekerling and has love for the ocean, his carrier is Optimus/Orion who is married to Cap Shockwave who is captain of research ship. Optimus/Orion helps out in elderly care facility.

Just love the concept, especially with Soundwave as Grand Mamare, beautiful and even his cassettes could be sea creatures that follow him around!! Megatron seemingly cold and powerful sea wizard being a bit of an anxious mess as he tries to keep his bittlet save from harm despite Bee increased want for freedom and to be a real bot so to say.

Optimus/Orion (still haven't decided which one I prefer more) being frustrated with his Partner Shockwave breaking his promise of returning from the expedition by immedietly going for another one, feeling so grateful for his seekerling taking it so well and trying to cheer him up regardless.

Later on in the movie Optimus/Orion and Soundwave having a conversation about their children, carrier to carrier and low key gossiping about their husbands, feeling confident about their children ability to arrive to the water dome unharmed and make the correct decision.

When the balance is restored and ships start to arrive, Megatron asking the two take care of Bee for him and leaving before shockwave has a chance to like question him as he gets distracted with his family and their newest addition but he does make eye contact with megs just before he disappears underwater.

Just yeah, ponyo au :D

"We're your hosts, I can't believe I'm still alive to suffer through this, it's Jean Moreau." Jean says pouring half of a bottle of wine into a wine glass and handing the rest of the bottle to Andrew before taking a sip.

Andrew accepts the bottle, "And Contractually obligated by the Real House-spouses of Exy to say I'm happy to be here, Andrew Minyard." Andrew says.

"Today's segments include, 'No Kevin just because it has Exy in the title doesn't mean any of us want to hear about changes in player stats'" Jean says tiredly.

"And ,of course, 'Is it fashion or is Neil just hot enough to pull it off?' The answer may surprise you."

uhh cliffnotes version? post-canon au where donnie gets himself into some shit with the EPF and instead of handling it like a well-adjusted person and getting backup he decides the logical course of action is to go get stronger in the battle nexus and exchange information with big mama.

it's been a while and i never wrote down the details of it so it's a bit blurry... but i also thought it'd be interesting to explore how donnie's tech and fighting style could potentially develop along the line.

Do you think Jon/martin were thinking of kids names back in the archives?

In general, i think Martin and Jon headspaces in the archives wouldnt have allowed thoughts of that kind. At this point, Martin has already put his own egg donor at a home so im guessing he must have had a lot of Thoughts about parenthood as a whole; and Jon, I dont think the concept of kids ever grazed his mind at this point in time. I do think he could've considered honoring his parents/grandparents while naming his kid though

Drive by bit of trivia that I think fits into your Hunger AU - Evo!Grian (pre-Watcher) was neutral in the big dispute on the server, iirc (Mafia vs Property Police) but HC!Grian (post-Watcher) ends up getting a rep for starting wars. Also, don't know if you know about Demise in HC s6, but it was kind of a precursor to the Life SMP, so you could probably use that in your fic if you want? Maybe as Grian's first "oh hey suffering tastes good" moment or something? Only if you think it fits, though.

Also 👁️ oooooh ive heard about Demise a little bit but nothing more than the name and that i think it involved collecting heads or smth??? But i could totally see that being the seed planted for the future life games-- i imagine stuff like that would be almost like LARPing in a sense, due to Player death mostly being an inconvenience, but the fear and exhilaration of being hunted down would have been so tasty. It would make sense for that to stick in Grian's brain, and give him a lowkey guiding point when scrambling to make the life series!!!

The greatest joke unmade

Takuya dried his hands and hung the towel over the handle to the oven. Turned around and looked towards Kouji, who was sitting at the table working on his laptop.

”It’s Goncharov’s 50th anniversary”, Takuya said.

Leaned casually against the countertop, tried not to smile too widely. Kouji looked up from the laptop, glanced at him.

”Who’s Goncharov?”

”It’s the greatest mafia-movie ever made”, Takuya couldn’t hide his grin. ”I was thinking we could watch it?”

Kouji stretched, closed his laptop and shrugged.

”Sure, why not? Didn’t know you liked mafia-movies.”

”Because I only ever watch football?”

Takuya wrapped an arm around Kouji, leaned down and kissed him. Kouji rolled his eyes.

”Yeah, because you only ever watch football.”

He pushed Takuya away, stood up. It took him a few seconds to find his balance and Takuya was ready to reach out if it was needed. But Kouji found his footing, carefully aligned the prosthetic leg with the rest of his body. It was a new one, less affected by heat or cold, and Kouji was still getting used to it.

”Football is the greatest”, Takuya agreed. ”Dad made me watch Goncharov when I was like 12, it’s my guilty pleasure.”

”Never heard you mention it”, Kouji said and grabbed the laptop.

”I also never mentioned that porn-movie I watched when I was 14”, Takuya said with a grin.

Kouji rolled his eyes again, whacked Takuya’s head with his hand.

”We’re not watching porn. I’ll agree to Goncharov though.”

”Thank you”, Takuya said and gave Kouji another kiss. ”You set it up and I’ll prepare snacks and drinks.”

”Just no alcohol for me”, Kouji put the laptop on a smaller table by the door. ”Messes with the new pain killers.”

”No alcohol, got it.”

Kouji left the kitchen. Takuya slapped a hand over his mouth to hold the laughter in. He couldn’t give it away yet, he needed to see how furious Kouji would get looking for the movie. He grabbed bowls, put a pan with oil on the stove. Made popcorn and filled one bowl with that, filled the other with chips. Grabbed two big glasses and filled with soda before putting all of it on a tray.

He swore he could hear Kouji’s voice. Was Kouji talking to someone? Had he called Kouichi to help him find the movie? Was the gig up?

”You want pie or something?” Takuya called.

”Pie sounds good!” Kouji called back.

Takuya grabbed a pie from the freezer, put it in the microwave. He would have heated it in the oven if there was more time, but he was pretty sure the joke would be over in about 5 minutes and he’d better be ready to ask for forgiveness. Pie was a good step towards that.

The pie was almost done when he heard music. Takuya blinked. The Goncharov main theme. He swallowed. Had Kouji figured it out and was trying to trick him back now?

He put the pie, a pair of plates and spoons on the tray as well and went to the living room. The television was on, the intro to Goncharov playing on it. Takuya almost dropped the tray.

”What’s this?” he asked.

”Goncharov”, Kouji said.

Nonchalantly, as if it wasn’t super-weird that a movie that didn’t exist was playing on their television. Did he find a fake trailer or something? Takuya put the tray on the table. How… he didn’t even know how to ask.

”How did you find it?” he asked.

”I didn’t”, Kouji sounded so frustrated. ”Matteo had to help me.”

Kouji’s eyes shone. Takuya swallowed. It had to be a trick of the light, but all the lights were turned off.

”Matteo?”

”Matteo JWHJ0715”, Kouji explained and sounded exasperated. ”He’s the god of movies that doesn’t exist.”

Takuya blinked.

”The what?”

Wait.

”Kouji, Goncharov doesn’t exist.”

Kouji blinked. The light in his eyes disappeared and he tilted his head. Frowned.

”Huh. Well… that does explain why I couldn’t find it.”

Takuya put a hand over his face, laughed.

”I love you. You’re an idiot and I love you. I’m fucking morosexual.”

”Yeah, yeah.” Kouji patted the couch. ”Did you want to watch it or not?”

Takuya laughed again, sat down in the couch.

”Do I want to watch the greatest mafia-movie never made? You bet!”

He grabbed a piece of pie and leaned against the back of the couch.

”And afterwards you’ll have to tell me how you got the god of movies that doesn’t exist to give it to us.”

Rock trolls would be Bat ponies 

Funk trolls: Maybe Zebras or Abyssinians?

Classical trolls: maybe Breezies is a good fit for them, but I'm still unsure. Crystal ponies could also be a good choice!
