Friendly reminder that Thranduil is the one who named Bilbo “elf-friend.”
Friendly reminder that in the books Thranduil isn’t an asshole.
Friendly reminder that basically every bad or mean thing Thranduil did in the movies did not happen in the books at all whatsoever.
#thranduil#the hobbit#lotr#the ONE exception is that he did get mad at thorin and put all the dwarves in the dungeon#but not at all because he wanted their treasure#he didnt even know about that he mistakenly thought thorin and co. were attacking his ppl#and thorin did not try very hard at all to dissuade him of this notion#it was a big misunderstanding and Gandalf says so in the LotR books
