and it's like in the altered timeline akiho still spent most of her life in relative isolation, being shipped off to her great grandfather so he could take care of her while she was sick (and ofc the second she's okay he doesn't get to have her live with him still, and also this whole thing has so many implications, but that's not the point of this post) and only recently being able to interact with people and make friends
and yet spending most her life isolated because she was legitimately sick is better than the real timeline where she was just ignored because she was born without magic and they only cared about her when they could use her like an object. at least in the altered timeline she has a few family members who give a shit about her LOL
#i know they did it to have an excuse for why. while being their sibling. she didn't grow up with sakura and touya#but man you made some implications with that one clamp#so were they still in contact with the great grandfather in this timeline?#or were they not and fujitaka just dumped his sick kid on him anyway#i need to know. and i never will but it will always haunt me#did they ever go to visit her#if they did i doubt it was often#and they want us to like fujitaka hell no

Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Chapter 51: Comments + JP-ENG translation differences
Welcome back, everyone!
This last month the wait has been so much more bearable, both because for Chapter 50 we had to wait 2 long months, so this is nothing compared to that, but also because February is the shortest month! 😂
A short notice before starting: there’s a big translation mistake in the ENG version of chapter 51, this time around. It involves a character’s true name, so please, spread the word because this is going to make the fandom REALLY confused. UPDATE March 3rd 2021: the official CLAMP-FANS Youtube account updated the English translation, correcting the mistake! Go check it!
Let's not delay any further because there's LOTS to unpack in this chapter. What happened might seem "little", but actually in terms of exploration on the psychological side of the characters, there's a lot to talk about. We often say that many things are a mystery in this manga, and at times it becomes even frustrating, but if we actually stop to analyze the emotions and inner turmoil of the characters, we can actually get so much more out of it. So relax with me, and embrace all the emotions this chapter will give to us!
GIF OF THE MONTH!
This chapter could be summarized probably with just one word: FRUSTRATING. I mean it both in a good and bad way, you'll see. Ready to descend into literal hell? Under the cut!
A world of Despair
Let's start with the beautiful (and really expected) color page, featuring Our Lady 'Momo', allowing us to see the colors of her true form! The editorial text reads “Momo, the one who protects the Book. What is the secret of the mysterious world she lures (Sakura) in?” I did expect her to have white hair (like her fur in mascot form) but the blue shading was a nice surprise! This is the first time a character in CCS has got gradient hair (possibly the first CLAMP character?), it's a type of anime hair that has become quite popular in the last years. But what caught me totally by surprise is the color of the eyes!! I expected them to be blue like in this color page, but???
They're purple?? I guess it might be a callback to the red eyes of the rabbits? Anyway, beautiful as I expected. My appreciation and love for Momo really skyrocketed with this chapter, you'll see why.
But the nice feelings leave immediately space to anxiety and despair. Literally. Last chapter we were left off with an uncomfortable feeling, because in the book world Sakura was thrown in, Fujitaka didn't recognize her. And we start exactly from there, in chapter 51: Touya appears on the doorstep too, and he doesn't seem to recognize Sakura. Sakura can't take this scene anymore, and runs away. You can see in her panicked eyes that she's going to seek out the other people she knows, to check if they forgot about her too. She sees Tomoyo on her way to school, and shouts her name. But sadly, we witness another scene that we would've never wanted to witness: Tomoyo turns around, and just like Fujitaka and Touya, she seems to not know who Sakura is. It's particularly heartbreaking because we all know how much Tomoyo loves Sakura, a kind of love and intensity that only she can fully understand. But none of that is present in the polite and composed reaction of the girl. The "love" eyes, the kind and tender stare that she always reserves only for Sakura is gone. As if to rub salt in the wound, all the friends from school arrive, all together (you can really feel how this thing is "staged", because they're all conveniently together, even Rika who supposedly attends another school) and they blatantly ignore Sakura. They ask Tomoyo if she's a friend of hers, and she replies "No." (in the ENG translation this turned into “Nope” which honestly?? sounds really out-of-character for Tomoyo. It’s good for making memes but it ruins the character’s personality). That's it. That's too much to bear. Sakura starts to run again along the streets of this staged Tomoeda with tears starting to surface in her eyes, when she spots him, the love of her life. He's standing besides the swings, the iconic swings that were so important in the stages of their relationship: it's where Syaoran comforted Sakura after the Yukito heart-break (and where Sakura's feelings supposedly started to awaken at full force) and where Syaoran confessed to her, later on. It's also where Sakura and Syaoran had that sweet, sweet moment of memories & promises in chapter 43. He seems to be staring at those swings. He's got his usual serious face on, but he really seems to be thinking something while staring at those swings. Could he be possibly....? Sakura runs to him, and calls his name. And we witness, once again, the worst scene any SyaoSaku fan could see:
Syaoran, too, is completely devoided of the loving stare that he reserves only to his princess. He looks at her with a quite surprised face, and asks:
JP: “Who are you?”
With a very casual, almost rude tone, reminiscent of the way he used to talk to her in the Clow Card arc (which is the way he uses with everyone - but you see, being a stranger, I thought he’d use a little more polite tone with her) Another low blow, especially for Tsubasa fans. I'm pretty sure anyone who has read Tsubasa has felt the heartbreaking force of the infamous "anata wa dare?" scene. So it's almost impossible not to get reminded of that, here, only with reversed roles. And it stings just as much. It stings mainly for Sakura's understandable reaction: her world literally, literally, shatters under her feet, the tears in her eyes unstoppable. She falls down, into the void, her journey into the "book" is probably over, and the impression that I have is that Momo was waiting for her down there to give her an additional talk and help her understand what she had seen, but... As Sakura descends in front of Momo, tears still trailing after her, everything turns black. Time stops.
The bratty teenager and the parent
Momo, knowing perfectly what is going on, turns around slightly annoyed, scolding the culprit: Kaito himself. And this is where I am going to point out the first consistent difference in translation: ENG: “What did I tell you about time magic, Yuna D. Kaito?” JP “Didn’t I tell you to stop using time magic?” I know, at this point many of us probably went falling off their chairs or something: wasn't he about to die? Wasn't his time up? How could he possibly use the time magic? I'll expose my theories later on, in the wrap-up of this post. Another difference in translation happens right here: ENG: “Forgive me. Desperate times call for desperate measures.” JP: “(I did it) Because it was truly a situation of emergency” Here we go again with the usual embellished ENG translation that ends up going overboard. Kaito didn’t apologize at all, in the JP version. And I think it’s important to keep it that way because the way he’s acting in this whole scene is like a teenager challenging their parent who’s scolding him. Literally.
Momo asks him if he wants to go back in time again. And you can be sure as hell he replies "That’s what I intend to do" (JP) . With a hint of defiance, and his usual smile, the one that betrays a fixation that has become madness over time, and it's consuming his life away. Literally. In the meantime, Sakura floats still beside them, and it’s unclear if she can hear them or not. I have my theories for that. Momo starts a desperate attempt at stopping him. After all, she almost went through with her plan: remember her inexplicable evil laugh of the beginning of chapter 50? We actually might have misunderstood her this whole time. She wasn’t testing Sakura, the laugh wasn’t for her. I’m pretty sure now, that she was laughing wickedly because she found herself in front of a golden chance to tamper with Kaito’s plans. Yes. And she went through with it, and we saw how mildly annoyed Kaito was. But you see, Kaito is too strong. Momo knows this. She only hoped he would be too weak to intervene or that he would arrive too late. And although I’m sure Kaito understood that Momo was trying to sabotage him, he didn’t stop even for a second to think about WHY would she do something like that. Nor did he ask her. He just went and, like a villain who locks the door shut in the face of the good character trying to escape, he cuts Momo’s attempt short. Kaito holds a lot of respect for Momo, but with his stance in this scene, he’s reaffirming who’s the one holding the contract, and the owner of the book. Momo is cautious with her words, but continues anyway. She has to try. JP, Kaito: “Sakura-san’s magic keeps growing. For how long will this magic be effective?” JP, Momo: “Despite knowing that, you still intend to do it, right?” Here Momo is talking cryptically, but the message is clear: “You know soon enough your magic won’t be effective on Sakura anymore. You know she’ll fight back. Your time is at its limit. This will likely won’t end up well. And you’re still going to do it?” Again, Kaito doesn’t budge. I swear to god I’ve read this scene while saying repeatedly “you’re a madman, Kaito.” With his usual sly smile, he goes: JP, Kaito: “I have to make her produce the card needed to activate the magic” But Momo does not budge either. She brings up their pact: when he entrered in a contract with her, he revealed his true name to her.
And here I have to alert everyone of a huge misunderstanding that led the ENG translation to commit a mistake, attributing to Kaito a “real name” that.....isn’t his real name.
I’ll borrow this bit of translation from my dear friend @panicula because her version simply flows better than mine: JP, Momo: “When you made your contract with me, you revealed to me your real name—your truename.”
So what’s the deal here? It’s all in the scriptwriter’s work, our dear Nanase Ohkawa: she built up a very cryptic sentence using both the words 本当の名前 (real name) and 真名 (true name), the latter between brackets: the ENG translators must have thought that the one between brackets was Kaito’s real name, that is “Mana” (the pronounciation of those two kanji). But it isn’t like that. Ohkawa here might have wanted to conceal Kaito’s true name, using this 真名 as a placeholder to hide Kaito’s name, pronounced in this moment by Momo but still not disclosable to us. After all, a true name that literally reads as “True Name” sounds almost like a joke, right? Update of March 3rd, 2021: The mistake was fixed on the Youtube version of the chapter! Hopefully it’ll get fixed in the Comixology release too!
Continuing from here, we then have: JP, Momo: "We might as well say that I hold your [heart] as a magician in the palm of my hands" JP, Kaito: “That’s right.” JP, Momo: "And yet, you still wanted the [Book]'s power, even if you had to make such a dangerous bet" While the ENG version basically says the same thing, the one you find here is closer to the original.
Kaito explains that it’s because he needs two things (that will actually turn into 3 in a short while) to activate the magic he wants: Momo’s book, and the Card from Sakura. One thing I wonder is why the ENG translation keeps calling the magic Kaito wants to activate as “the magics”. Anyway, Momo decides to step up her game. THE questions arrives. “Why?”
But Kaito, just like he’s doing since long time, dodges the bullet. JP: “I just explained shortly ago that I need it"
There’s a moment of silence between the two, it’s easy to imagine the frustration running through Momo at this point, for him continuously avoiding the real problem. At the end of this page, the ENG translation makes her say “Yuna D. Kaito”, but she actually just says “You...”.
And when we turn the page, we find Momo with a sad, painful look, her eyes seem on the verge of bursting into tears at any moment. What kind of pain this creature must be feeling in this moment, well aware of the tragedy this child, no, these children are all heading to? Once again, I borrow my friend @panicula ‘s words for the translation of this whole page, because it’s very important: there’s another mistranslation in the ENG version, one that makes Kaito brag about his abilities with magic and gives him an ambitiousness that simply doesn’t belong to him.
JP, Momo: “You’re on the verge of gambling away your life as you try to complete the spell you seek.” JP, Kaito: “Because I discovered an art to do it.” JP, Momo: “I wonder if the you before now truly would have said, ‘I’ve found a way to do it,’ then tried to make it a reality. Surely the whole thing would have been too much of a bother for you?” JP, Kaito: “It is a bother, even now.”
And while Kaito says the last line, his eyes seem to be softening. You’re a liar, Kaito. If it was a bother, you wouldn’t have come to this point. It isn’t a bother, you literally cannot stop yourself from doing it. No one can. Because you know what’s at stake. And Momo is like: JP: "Yeah, I guess it is. Because on top of being able to obtain almost anything immediately with your (level of) magical power, you were also missing [a certain something]" JP, Kaito: " [a certain something]?" Basically here Momo is implying he couldn't be bothered to do stuff because first, anything came easily to him, so why bother putting effort into anything? Second, he lacked emotions. Love. So he didn't really have the drive to do anything at all. That's when Momo sees that he just doesn't understand, and decides to change the question, raising the bar. If he doesn’t get it with the “why”, he will be forced to get it with this.
ENG, Momo: “Perhaps I asked you the wrong question. If you can’t tell me why you seek this power...” JP, Momo: “Let’s change the question. If you can’t understand it upon being asked [Why], then...
“ [Whom] are you doing this for?
I pointed out the difference in translation because in the JP version, Momo is very clear about what she wants from him. She wants him to understand. Understand something. And she goes as far as she can to make him realize. He’s absolutely shocked by the question. As he should. But, just at that moment, the dark place they are in shatters, and Kaito rewinds time. We don’t find out the answer to Momo’s question, and I have the feeling we won’t find it until the climax.
Sakura finds herself back to her schoolyard, art class is still on, and the first thing she sees is Akiho, who passed out on the ground while tears were still in her eyes. The scene broke my heart 😭 While Sakura and her classmates worriedly assist her, Momo all alone behind the bushes comments on how Kaito wasn’t able to finish rewinding exactly at the point he wanted, and how he literally ran away. Did the question trigger him? I sure hope it did.
Momo is sure of something. Despite his past of boredom and bother, while he didn’t care about anyone, she KNOWS that once given the reason to change, people don’t stay the same. No matter how magically strong you are, or what kind of life you’re leading. JP: “Therefore...please realize (what’s inside) of your [heart]”
Sakura comes back home, but before entering she’s invaded by a bad feeling. She’s greeted by Kero and Suppi, but they notice right away that something isn’t right with her. Sakura explains what happened to the Sakura Cards, and that The Mirror is missing. Syaoran is at home trying to track her down. She explains also that she found Akiho passed out on the ground, while absolutely not remembering nor realizing how that could’ve happened, despite being in front of her. She also talks about the ill feeling that she felt once arriving in front of her house...she calls it “the opposite of happiness”...and then...to end this chapter with a bang... Ladies and gentlemen... This is it? Sakura holds a Clear Card, with the image of her mother’s pendant watch, of which she doesn’t absolutely remember anything.
Its name is “Time”.
DUUN DUUUUN DUUUUUUUUN.
So? Is this the Card Kaito was looking for?
I say yes.
I know, I said before that I didn’t think it would be a time card! But I have finally understood the use for it. Kaito will not use directly the card to operate the magic he wants to activate. The card will merely be a part of the process, a supply of time magic that will make Momo’s book work.
My idea is that Sakura created this card because she has listened to Kaito and Momo’s conversation while being frozen in time (her conscience probably defeated Kaito’s time magic), and it shook her so much that she produced something about what she heard.
About my theories on why Kaito is still able to walk at all, I have to admit that I’m still brainstorming them, but I have thought again about something Panicle said in our Discord server last month: time magic erodes one’s lifespan, but no one ever said that it erodes the magical power too. So it might be entirely possible that Kaito could be able to use his magic in some capacity literally until his last breath. We will see how things will unfold now that he has rewound time once again, I believe words aren’t for nothing and so, if he said his time was up, something must happen. I know many people will be angry at the time rewinding, but truth to be told, did we really believe that the final climax wouldn’t happen at the play??? And a time rewind was probably the only way to have all the needed characters active (and alive??) after what happened in chapter 50. Last but not least (to me), I liked particularly Kaito and Momo’s conversation in this chapter. For Kaito, because I had proof for the 100th time that he’s in denial. Akiho is important to him. Possibly, she’s everything that he’s got. But such an intense, unknown, devastating feeling is scary and overwhelming. Kaito feels at ease in his little bubble of loneliness. It’s his comfort-zone. He knows everything, in that little bubble. He only has himself, to deal with. Love is scary. Love hurts. Love turns your life all around. Love is unpredictable. He’s terrified of that. It’s not that “I don’t know what it means”, no, you fool, you’re already loving her in your own way. It’s just that you’re too afraid to even see that. You’re making yourself blind on purpose. And you’re throwing yourself into this mission with all you’ve got because you almost hope that death will tear you away from having to deal with these feelings. You don’t care about dying, because then you won’t need to think about what love means, or why you’re doing this, or anything else.
But Momo is trying to save him too, along with Akiho and Sakura. Because she can see that he’s a good boy, under this surface of obliviousness, unawareness and loneliness. And I loved the message she sent in this chapter: no matter how shitty your past can be, you can still turn it around. All you need is a reason to change.
If Kaito realizes that he’s doing all of this for Akiho, the next question will be: does Akiho want this? Does she want to exchange her life with the one of someone else’s? The answer will be, obviously, no, and he would be able to stop himself before it’s too late. They will find another way to save Akiho, one that doesn’t involve sacrificing anyone’s life. Sakura would be safe too, in this way. But Momo knows that the tall, tall walls around his heart are hard to bring down. And that’s why she’s so in pain in this chapter. It was hard to see her almost on the brink of tears, because she knows a tragedy is about to happen again. There’s no trace of the salty Momo in this chapter, only a desperate “aunt” or “parent” trying to save the kids she has affection for, from a sorrowful ending. The pain of knowing and being unable to do more than this. We really need Sakura to bring some hope in this grim scenario.
And yeah, with this last note I’ll end this post which, as usual, turned into an essay but I really REALLY wanted to express my thoughts on this, this time around. And yes, I’m very salty at the translation mistake about Kaito’s true name. Please try to pass the information around, if you don’t want to share this post! See you next month, the chapter will be out on March 31st (Some sources report April 1st, Sakura’s birthday!!), and we’ll probably find it on Comixology 1 day earlier. Don’t forget to visit Clamp-fans’ website to read the chapter for free!

Note
(I think it's a word over 500, but:)
"Speaking of Tsukishiro, how's he doing?", Eriol asks. Frying pan to fire to volcano.
"He's good," Touya says quickly, before Sakura can say anything. Yukito is not even in the ballpark of "good". Yesterday he called Touya and begged him to bike over and said it was important and when Touya showed up he was asleep, and stayed fast asleep right through to the next morning. He keeps trying to make appointments with doctors, and then falling asleep before he can call, or, when Touya calls for him, before he can make it out the door. Privately, Touya isn't sure how much good a doctor can do for him, but anything has to be better than this, right?
"Really? I'm glad to hear it." Ugh, how much has Sakura told him. Not that she doesn't have a right to talk to her friends, but, come on, would it kill her to least keep it between her and Tomoyo and the funny looking cat.
He's good, that's an obvious lie. Ruby has said Yukito could barely stand upright at school. Every inch of Touya Kinomoto is packed full of magic. Sooner or later, Eriol figures, either Sakura will be powerful enough to sustain him, or Yue will have to get over himself and just eat already. Touya can't actually do anything with his magic, so it's not like Yue, even weak as he is, will have to face much of a struggle to take it. (Aside from competition with Ruby, of course. There's something to that, right, articles and studies about animals being healthier if they need a bit of careful planning to get their food? Yes, so this works out nicely.)
Or maybe- oh, that's probably it. Yue's on to him, isn't he? He's just being stubborn as usual, figuring sooner or later Clow will appear via Eriol and save him. He can imagine how surprised, overjoyed, grateful Yue would be, if Eriol showed up and saved his life. He can imagine Yue's head resting on his neck as clearly as if he had kept Yue well-fed with magic a thousand times in his lifetime. It would be nice, in the short run, but it wouldn't be right, no. Clow is dead, and Yue needs to learn to live with that. If he knows what's good for him, he will take responsibility for his own life, and if he doesn't...
Ahh, well, maybe it's Clow's old sentimentality, maybe Eriol is just warming up to Sakura's moon guardian all on his own, but he can't bring himself around to the idea of letting Yue just die. He'd save him, if it came down to it. But, he tells himself sternly, only as an absolute last resort. He's just worrying because he misses Yue and wants to get to know him better all at once in that past-and-future way- it's worth a visit, soon. Yes, a nice little visit, and Yue will never even have to know it happened. Just to check in.
(sorry the formatting got weird when i copypasted lol!)
hiiii thanks for the ask!!!
if we talk about this convo we need to back up and talk about how it got here. this should give you some idea of how badly this needs to be under a cut for length lol.
so it all starts with the bit about how someone falling and being caught is something that happens a lot in ccs. how with eriol, it's purposeful, and with fujitaka (and i misremembered it but since found out she fell *on* him and not *caught* by him, which lolol i hope he broke a bone, but also its fine the fic's already marked canon divergent, or maybe the story gets misremembered, whatever, in any case), it's an echo of clowriol's intentional artificial-trustbuild-dangersaves but without the magic or purpose to back it up (just like fujitaka himself!), but it's a situation he quickly makes favorable to him, because it may be a blank slate but it's made of the same material.
this whole convo was part of one of the very first chunks written, but everything was going to go in a very different direction at first. (there's a lot of Cut Content from this fic, some that i just didn't like, some that wasn't connectable with the rest of the fic after it took the shape it took but might pop up somewhere else one day idk). in this particular bit i cut the later half of the conversation because i really didn't like what i'd written, but then even though the direction of the story changed the conversation was still going so it had to bounce somewhere else, so it bounced to yukito. here we are answering your ask 2 paragraphs in!
yukito, iirc in the anime, did catch her from a fall, (in the manga, which made way more sense for why she had to change her clothes and rest so much, he saved her from drowning, again iirc because who can trust a memory) and at a point where eriol still has some investment in making yuekito/sakura (ewwwww) happen, he's going to try and draw on that symbolism to nudge her in that direction, right?
so all this said, SPEAKING of yuekito. how are they doing.
bad, obviously. touya's freaking out. i imagine that part of what's stopping yukito from seeing a doctor is yue, though- he knows it wont help, and i dont think yukito has, like, person insides that will stand up to medical tests, and yue would pick up on yukito like, not wanting to be outed to the doctor as a magic construct because he, like, doesnt actually have a real heart that pulses, just a repeating heartbeat sound. doesn't for real have blood etc to test, just records of blood type (for personality reasons).
and also touya's a very like keep-ur-problems-not-everybodys-business type so hes like imagining sakura venting her fears to this weirdo and getting pissed off. but that didnt actually happen, eriol knew all on his own lolol. touya you have to say something nice should happen to sakura to make up for wrongly suspecting her now
and this bit on eriol's end is all wrong information and inaccurate conclusions and i was really worried ppl would take it at face value but i hope nobody did. in ccs we get moments where eriol wants sakura to take power, or to learn that power can be taken- his final battle with her, for example, where the answer to his light and dark puzzle is to use kero and yue's power, except that's not something she would ever Want to do or would even Occur to her to try. the power is gifted to her by kero and yue (and syaoran!) because they love her.
same concept, here- the answer to the 'yue is dying' puzzle is to eat touya's power, and he can't imagine the real reason why he won't just do that, and when he thinks about it too long it goes right to his ego- yue looovvvvesss clow, and by extension me. he wants meeeeeee to save him. he wants to neck kissy MY magic soo sooooo bad. but yue isn't considering any of that at all. he's thinking about yukito and what touya means to yukito and why that would make yukito hesitate to reach out, and that no way in hell will he just ambush his other self's crush down a dark alley and take his magic, even to save both their lives. he's a lot more selfless than clow and eriol ever realize. maybe- this is just a half formed thought right now, i dont know if im like certain about it, but- maybe they feel his devotion to clow was a form of selfishness, that he Wanted Love as a thing he could hold and own, whereas pretty much everybody else who meets him goes like YOU SELFLESS MAN YOU CANT JUST DIE FOR PPL YOU CARE ABOUT YOU GOTTA TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF TOOOO
and there’s also that bit of teacherliness intrinsic to the three of them again: im doing this to teach him a lesson. im letting ruby do her thing without telling her what’s going on to help and encourage yue, etc.
anyway, that (in terms of fic weaving itself into canon) solidifies his decision to do uhmmmm a thing that creeps me out real bad in the anime (knocking yue out to have a moment with him, and oh, ding, there's another 'you fell but i caught you' moment!). eriol loves this manner of hanging out with people, you see it later in this fic, even:
It's important to say what's in your heart to the people you want to say it to, even if you have to make sure the other person never hears it. It's important for your own emotional freedom.
he loves to spend time with people exclusively on his terms, to the point where the other party never even knew he was there, because he knocked them out, or because he was just staring creepily at the outside of sakura's house while she did homework, etc etc etc.
tldr: it's all connected, aaaaaaaaa

Sorry again for the spam.

Reminder that these are copied straight from XD Unlimited itself, so any grammatical weirdness, mistranslations, and/or mischaracterizations are not my doing.
Miku Kohinata: "Aww..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "What's wrong, Miku?"
Miku Kohinata: "I'm just worried about everyone."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Oh really? You don't need to worry!"
Miku Kohinata: "But nobody came back yesterday..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "It was a Gjallarhorn alert. That stuff usually takes longer than a day to take care of."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Don't worry, I know everyone's going to be just fine!"
Miku Kohinata: "Yeah... You're right."
Hibiki Tachibana: (Yeah, they're all...)
Miku Kohinata: "What's wrong? Is something on your mind, too, Hibiki?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh? M-Me? It's nothing. Ahahaha..."
Miku Kohinata: "Liar."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Um... Well..."
Miku Kohinata: "Is it something you don't want to tell me?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "I'm sorry, Miku."
Hibiki Tachibana: "It's... Well, I'm actually worried about you."
Miku Kohinata: "About me?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yeah, what with you starting to fight with us and all."
Miku Kohinata: "It's okay. I can fight too, you know?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "With Shenshoujing..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "But it's just that you aren't used to fighting, so I'm a little worried."
Miku Kohinata: "You're such a worrywart, Hibiki. Nobody has ever gotten used to anything by not doing it, right?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Well... I mean, that's true, but..."
Miku Kohinata: "And what about all the training I've done?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yeah, of course, I know that."
Hibiki Tachibana: "But..."
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki... To be honest, I'm really happy."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh?"
Miku Kohinata: "Before, I always had to stay behind and wait, but now I get to go fight by your side."
Miku Kohianta: "It was always you protecting me, and you always getting hurt."
Miku Kohinata: "It was hard not being able to do anything."
Miku Kohinata: "So for once, can you let me protect you a little?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "But... Uh..."
Hibiki Tachibana: (I'm really happy she's thinking of me, but I just can't accept this. I just can't.)
Miku Kohinata: "Everyone's contributing in their own way. Plus, I even have a Gear now."
Miku Kohinata: "So from now on, I want you to let me protect you."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Then, I'll protect you--"
Miku Kohinata: "No. That's not how this is going to work."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku?"
Miku Kohinata: "I want you to protect everyone."
Miku Kohinata: "Not just me, but everyone else you want to keep safe."
Miku Kohinata: "I'm bound to have my hands full just protecting you."
Miku Kohinata: "But you, Hibiki, you'll be able to protect so many more people."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku..."
Miku Kohinata: "Being able to be right there helping you while you're doing that is like a dream come true for me."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Okay, I understand."
Hibiki Tachibana: "We'll make a good team."
Miku Kohinata: "Yeah. Thanks, Hibiki."
Miku Kohinata: "Oh, a call from S.O.N.G."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Hello, this is Hibiki."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I've got some bad news. Another Karma Noise has appeared in this world."
Hibiki Tachibana: "So there were more of them."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I hate to admit it, but that appears to be the case. Anyway, we need you on site immediately!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Roger that!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Okay, Miku! I'll be back later!"
Miku Kohinata: "I'm going too, remember?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Oh, right."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Okay, Miku! Let's go!"
Miku Kohinata: "Yeah!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Take it slow, Miku."
Miku Kohinata: "I'll be fine as long as you're with me."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Okay! Then I'm moving in!"
Miku Kohinata: "I'll cover you!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Hyaaah!"
Miku Kohinata: "A counterattack? Not on my watch!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Now!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Raaaaaaaagh!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku!"
Miku Kohinata: "Yeah!"
Miku Kohinata: "I'll stop its regeneration!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "The Karma Noise signal is decaying rapidly!"
Elfnein: "Incredible. Miku-san is performing far better than expected relative to her battle experience."
Aoi Tomosato: "Their compatibility rivals that of Shul Shagana and Igalima!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Their faith in each other makes them the perfect team."
Hibiki Tachibana: (What is this? Just having Miku by my side makes me feel stronger!"
Miku Kohinata: (I'm doing so much better than I did in training. Is it because Hibiki is here with me?)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku, I'm going in!"
Miku Kohinata: "Okay, I got your back!"
Hibiki & Miku: "Hyaaaaah!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "The Karma Noise signal... It vanished completely!"
Aoi Tomosato: "So this is what they can do together?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "It's not that I was expecting them to lose, but this is just unreal!"
Elfnein: "Yes, they really do make a great team."
Hibiki Tachibana: "It's all thanks to you, Miku!"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki, you were incredible!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Ehehehe... You're making me blush!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "The sky. It's..."
Miku Kohinata: "H-Hibiki, look at that!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh? Is that... a crack in the sky?!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What happened?!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "G-Gjallarhorn has sounded an alert of unprecedented scale!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "These energy readings are off the charts!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What?! Where the hell is it coming from?"
Elfnein: "Please give me a moment. The current Coordinates are--"
Elfnein: "Wh-What?! It's coming from our world!"
Aoi Tomosato: "Commander! Look!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What is that?! Is it a crack in the sky?"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "We're getting massive energy signals!"
Elfnein: "Something's coming."
Hibiki Tachibana: "What... is that?"
Miku Kohinata: "It's like a huge shadow blocking out the sun."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Is it a giant monster?"
Miku Kohinata: "Is it a dragon? No, it's more like a snake..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "It's descending really slowly."
Miku Kohinata: "What's that? It looks like it's releasing some kind of black smoke."
Hibiki Tachibana: "That black smoke... It's miasma! And lots of it!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "It's gathering up into... No way!"
Miku Kohinata: "This can't be real! Two more Karma Noise?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Could that thing be creating the Karma Noise?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "We need to do something!"
Miku Kohinata: "But what can we do against something that big?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "All we can do is try! We need to act fast before it makes more Karma Noise!"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki, wait!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "If we take that one down, we can take our time with the others!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Get out of my way!"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki, watch out!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Thanks, Miku!"
Miku Kohinata: "Wait, Hibiki! There's one more behind you!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Aaagh!"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Sorry, I got a little careless..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I guess fighting two Karma Noise at once would be a little too much for us."
Miku Kohinata: "Wouldn't it be safer if we took one the Karma Noise one at a time?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yeah, you're right."
Miku Kohinata: "Huh?! Look! The monster is releasing more miasma!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "What? More Karma Noise?! We have to stop it before it's too late!"
Miku Kohinata: "I should be able to do some damage from afar with Shenshoujing."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku?!"
Miku Kohinata: "Graaah!"
Miku Kohinata: "I hit it!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku! The Karma Noise!"
Miku Kohinata: "Aaaack!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: (The miasma is gathering in its mouth.)
Miku Kohinata: "Huh..."
Hibiki Tachibana: (It's aiming at Miku?!)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Look out!"
Miku Kohinata: "Huh?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Aaaaah!"
Miku Kohinata: "H-Hibiki?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "M-Miku... Are you okay?"
Miku Kohinata: "I-I'm fine. But you're--"
Hibiki Tachibana: "It's nothing... Everything's gonna be... just fine..."
Miku Kohinata: "Hibikiii!"
Miku Kohinata: "No, Hibiki, wake up!"
Miku Kohinata: (I promised I would protect her.)
Miku Kohinata: (So why am I the one being protected?!)
Miku Kohinata: "The Karma Noise..."
Miku Kohinata: (I said I'd help her...)
Miku Kohinata: (But I'm too scared to move... Why?)
Miku Kohinata: (I'm sorry, Hibiki.)
???: "Eat this!"
Chris Yukine: "You two all right?!"
Miku Kohinata: "Chris?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Sorry we're late!"
Miku Kohinata: "I'm okay, but Hibiki..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Don't worry, she's just been knocked out. If we can get out of here and get her treated, she'll be fine."
Maria: "Now, then..."
Maria: "Karma Noise are one thing, but what on earth is that?"
Kirika Akatsuki: "It looks like some kind of monster."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "It's so big, maybe even bigger than Nephilim."
Miku Kohinata: "It suddenly appeared in the sky after Hibiki and I defeated the first Karma Noise."
Miku Kohinata: "These new Karma Noise came out of the miasma it released." Tsubasa Kazanari: "What?! Are you serious?"
Maria: "So that thing is giving birth to Karma Noise?"
Chris Yukine: "Then it's simple. All we have to do is beat that thing!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Wait, Yukine! It's reckless rushing the castle first!"
Maria: "She's right. If you want to take down the general, you first shoot his horse, right?"
Miku Kohinata: "That was the mistake me and Hibiki made."
Chris Yukine: "That's so lame! What if it just keeps making Karma Noise in the meantime?"
Kirika Akatsuki: "That's fine! If we work together, two, three, even four Karma Noise won't be a problem!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Kiri-chan, we need to be careful."
Chris Yukine: "So we basically have to get rid of the Karma Noise first, yeah?"
Maria: "Yaaaah!"
Maria: "It can't move now! Finish it!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Leave it to us!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Prepare to be torn to shreds!"
Chris Yukine: "We'll attack one after the other!"
Miku Kohinata: "Y-Yeah!"
Chris Yukine: "Let's make mincemeat of this thing!"
Miku Kohinata: (We missed?!)
Chris Yukine: "We're not done yet! It's wide open!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I've got it now!"
Chris Yukine: "Yes! That's the last of the Karma Noise!"
Maria: "It seems we managed to finish them off before any more appeared."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yeah. All that's left now is to storm the castle."
Miku Kohinata: (They're amazing... They took down two Karma Noise in the blink of an eye.)
Miku Kohinata: (And look at me, I didn't help at all...)
Chris Yukine: "Don't space out in the middle of the fight! Stay focused!"
Miku Kohinata: "Oh... Sorry."
Miku Kohinata: (She's right. I need to stay focused.)
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Watch out!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "It's coming this way!"
Miku Kohinata: (I promised Hibiki. I promised that I was going to protect her!)

slothysloth replied to your post “GOD FUCKING DAMN IT, CLAMP, I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD”
Let me guess is it fuckin Teradasensei?
yume-x-hanabi replied to your post “GOD FUCKING DAMN IT, CLAMP, I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD”
what did they do this time
It’s not quite Terada-sensei/Rika nonsense, but it’s close enough and honestly potentially worse. Spoilers for Ch. 9 of the Clear Card Arc (which isn’t out yet, but the preview for the chapter has been released and translated) under the cut:
So in case you’re not following the Clear Card Arc, last chapter (or maybe chapter before last?) there was a new transfer student introduced in Sakura’s class. Her name is Shinomoto Akiho, and while we don’t know very much about her yet, it has been lampshaded in-universe that she is very similar to Sakura (in terms of their names, and even their appearance), and I personally speculate that she’s the figure in Sakura’s dreams, i.e. the new antagonist for this arc. She’s potentially an alternate universe version of Sakura. It’s impossible to say at the moment, though, and at present as far as we’re aware she’s a perfectly normal transfer student.
Anyway, chapter nine (the chapter coming out soon) features a lot of her, as one might expect, and at one point Sakura and Akiho are talking about Akiho’s lunch, which was made for her by her caregiver. We then get this exchange:
AKIHO: “[They] made it for me! I’m really not skilled (at it) . . .”
SAKURA: “Did you come to Japan with that person?”
AKIHO: [/nods] “Yes. Ever since I was little, they’ve always looked after me.”
SAKURA: “Are they family?”
AKIHO: “No, we’re not related by blood, but . . . they’re a very important person.”
SAKURA: “You really love that person, don’t you Akiho-chan?”
AKIHO: “Eh?!”
SAKURA: “Your expression was very kind just then.”
AKIHO: “Eh? Eh?”
It seems to me like CLAMP is pulling their typical nonsense of “all love except for explicitly biological familial love is romantic love (and even then if it’s cousins it’s okay),” because it seems to me that they’re setting up for Akiho to have feelings for her caregiver. Whether or not those feelings are reciprocated is up in the air, but remember: This is CLAMP, and this is Cardcaptor Sakura, so unless Akiho and her caregiver get “in the way” of a relationship CLAMP deems more important (like how Sonomi and Tomoyo’s feelings for Nadeshiko and Sakura were both unrequited because of Fujitaka/Nadeshiko and Sakura/Syaoran), we can pretty much be certain that’s the case.
Now, to be fair, the above exchange could be taken to refer to platonic love. Sakura does use the word “daisuki,” but, well, it doesn’t have to be romantic, we could hope that maybe CLAMP isn’t going to hook Akiho up with the person who raised her (because they’re in junior high, so if Akiho is saying “ever since I was little,” that makes me think she was an infant/toddler when this person started taking care of her). However, not only did they make sure to explicitly have Akiho say that this person isn’t family to her (which could easily tie into the stigma that Japan has against adoption/be purely meant to indicate they aren’t biologically related, but even so, it’s sketchy af that they would make her say “no” to that), but here’s that “kind” expression Sakura was talking about:
Note the goddamn flowers and (though it’s kind of hard to see due to the quality of the scans) shoujo bubbles. True, CCS is always oversaturated with flowers, but flowers and shoujo bubbles are still usually used for a reason. And then here’s Sakura’s reaction upon seeing this:
And then when Sakura says “you really love this person, don’t you?” to Akiho:
If it wasn’t meant to be romantic, and if there was no validity to it, why would Akiho be blushing so much? Why would she be so flustered? That’s classic “got my crush pointed out” reaction. Hell, it’s very similar to how Syaoran reacted when Tomoyo called him out on his feelings for Sakura!
To be honest, this is even more squicky than Terada/Rika from the original manga. That was already disgusting given the fact that he was her teacher (and she was in fourth grade), but while we have yet to meet the caregiver (as far as I know---this was just the preview, not the whole chapter), and thus have yet to know the exact age at which Akiho was more or less adopted, it’s pretty clear to me that she had to have been adopted near infancy/toddler age---that she was raised by this person, that they were more or less her parent. To have her have romantic feelings for a parental figure is gross, but it’s going to be unsalvageable if said caregiver returns those feelings. Terada/Rika already carried heavy enough shades of child grooming, but this? This would literally be a situation wherein an adult raised a child to then have a romantic/sexual relationship with them. The child grooming there isn’t even handwaved subtext---it’s straight up overt text whether CLAMP would want to admit it or not, and that is downright vile. I could gag and skip over the Terada/Rika pages because they were few and far between, but there’s no way Akiho isn’t going to be a main character of this new manga, and if this is the direction they’re going? If they’re doing this in 2017? I won’t be able to forgive it, I won’t be able to ignore it, and I’m going to be forever salty that they irreparably ruined one of my favorite childhood manga. I thought we were past this, I really did, I thought that having Rika go to another school was their way of being past it, but if they go down this route with Akiho . . . well. Apparently we’re not past it. Apparently we’re in for even worse.
But we’ll see. We don’t know for sure yet, we’ll have to see how it progresses, but right now it doesn’t look good.

what are ur thoughts on eriol . he is so complex in a way i cant explain and i wish they dove more into him in the showwww :'] also if what ur saying about clear card where hes called a softie is true then HUH .. like dont get me wrong i love him but like HES LITERALLY INSANE !!!
man what ARENT my thoughts on eriol. search clow or eriol or clowriol on my blog and go wild, i guess. i will try to say points off the top of my head? but also im sure theres a trillion more thoughts archived throughout blog.
-ymmv on this but i dont think of him as a child like at all, bc of the way he kind of flings off his childish persona at the end (and, throughout the origibal series, whenever he's alone etc) like the disguise it was, the way he's been physically alive for, you could make an argument for based on if you think fujitaka spawned as a baby or not, 30-40ish years, etc. hes a short adult who pretends to be young sometimes.
-the fact that mizuki specifically is dating him is still extremely gross bc it gives her a Pattern, tho. but also there is no way he is treating her well imo, so i can think of it as like, haha sleep on the chair forever while he acts all baby in the huge bed. she is in a hell of her own making, is how i think of it, and especially in clear card when they are alone in the house and kaito shut off their wifi. but also thats my watsonian thoughts, doylism would say CLAMP YOU GROSS AWFUL PROPAGANDISTS STFU-
-latest chapter aside lol, i think eriol and clow are basically the same guy- i discuss them a lot as "clowriol", as one entity. I think it's debatable if theyre LITERALLY using The Same Soul (i don't think eriol himself knows, and i think this is a little bit scary to him, keeps himself up at night sometimes wondering, if and when he dies, if he will see clow on the other side or if it's Just him and fujitaka. his own memories would be seamless. how do you know if youre a perfect copy or an original?)- but in his thoughts, memories, attitudes, etc, it's all clow. In fact, eriol had all clow's power, there's no reason he couldntve just said "hang on a sec im going babymode" and immediately kept sustaining kero, yue, and the cards himself for a while till sakura got born! but:
-he didn't want to, because i think he became eriol to become a blank slate and be able to say "thats not me youre looking for". the responsibility became overwhelming to him, i think, looking at these people he created to be eternal, and that he influenced to *need someone* eternally, and went oh no, this is going to be forever. and that scared him really bad, i think. scared him, literally, to death.
-fujitaka is an important part of them to me. i basically analyze the three of them as one entity, highlighting different traits. in fujitaka, we see that in the absense of magic power, he will gravitate towards social power. he (collectively) wants to be a Teacher so so so bad, and he wants to love people that he has power over. I like to analyze fujitaka and nadeshiko's relationship (which as we know is very very very very bad) as fujitaka's need for power-over-others manifesting in a situation where he didn't have magic to let him literally Make Friends.
-eriols fave part of being baby is ppl complimenting how hes ~soooooooo good at things!!!!!~ buddy you are 42 of course you make a better cupcake decoration than a 11 year old.
-i think clear card's softie comment is very funny to me bc it implies clow was just NONSTOP pranks on randos and if they die well too bad. eriol's mellowed out in his old age. he cares more for human life. he mostly sticks to tormenting his cat's digestive system. 🎶 maybe driving a few kids to madness, maybe they were predisposed to madness who knows, 🎶 etc etc .
-i think between original and clear card he made himself very available as a friend to syaoran, and tossed in a lot of "oh dont tell anyone but-"s while making it clear you can Always talk to me, anout Anything :)! and slowly constructed a situation that isolated syaoran enough for [clear card spoilers] to take shape and for him to feel he couldnt tell sakura about it.
-i think he became a college professor like the instant he got back to england lmaooo

"Once again being coerced". 😄 Poor Syaoran. He really didn't want to get up on stage again. But I agree about the Two Alice's thing being the main focus. But I also had this thought that if at one point where Sakura and Syaoran had to touch, big sparks fly and all hells breaks loose. Thus, giving us the final battle soon after or close to it.
Oh my gosh, that would be quite an epic final battle start! lol Syaoran needs to accept his destiny!! He can’t run away from a play written by Naoko!! XD
Once they start getting ready for the play, we’ll know the moment is near and that’s when we’ll have to start trembling with anticipation. Just like everyone knew that once Akiho would put her foot into Fujitaka’s library, some big mess would happen (and it did, but it got rewound).

Incoherent thoughts on Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Chapter 35
YOU THOUGHT I WAS GONE AND I WOULDN’T POST ANYTHING ABOUT THE NEW CHAPTER OF CLEAR CARD, UH??? XDDD
Instead, you’ll have to stand another one of my ramblings because BOY I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY. Under the cut for the lucky souls who haven’t read anything yet!
(Raw scans used in the post by @horitsuba)
I’d like to start from the happy splash page, because it’s really adorable and....well, it’s almost the only happy thing of this chapter. Sakura and Syaoran dressed and acting like in a Mary Poppins musical or something really soothes our soul <3
THE PITS OF HELL®
What to say. Sakura basically lives Akiho’s past on her skin and I’m.... I mean, we had to pass through this. Akiho’s past wasn’t complete and sooner or later we had to see what they did and how exactly they turned her into a half-human, half-doll enabled to write on herself all the magic she comes in contact with. It’s part of the plot and we had to go through it. But. Actually seeing SAKURA, of all people (lord knows how much we love her) impersonating AKIHO (lord knows how much I love her), floating over that altar, in a scene that looks between a sacrificing ritual and a laboratory experiment, made my heart hurt. A lot. BUT it’s not over. On top of all of this, ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS, they had to stage it like a page straight from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. Why, there’s no feathers, no wings, then what? Well, I guess it’s Akiho’s dress, floating all around. Or the fact that these people are messing with her body and her soul (if she ends up absorbing too much magic, her soul will implode), and that Sakura looks SO DAMN much like Sakura-hime in that panel. Her hair, her profile, all reminds me of Sakura-hime. And it’s only normal! Mind you, I’m not saying there’s any tie to it just because of this. But I don’t think I’m too wrong when I say that CLAMP might have done it on purpose AGAIN. So, fuck you again, CLAMP! And now let me express how much I loathe these pieces of sh*t right above. Because, do you want to know why they started the “blank book” craze? Because a bored boy, consulted on the matter, said the first thing that came to his mind, in his usual snotty way. Yuna D. Kaito was a literal child when he was consulted about Akiho’s (nonexistent) powers, although being the strongest one of the Association. He said “eh, she’s just like a blank book” and those brainless jerks took it literally. This also opens a new theory about Kaito: he might be doing what he’s doing out of remorse, for something he said and couldn’t control outside of him. The deeds of the Association + the Squid Clan are the very proof the evil has made its entrance in the CCS world. But worry not: the challenge will be even harder, but I’m sure Sakura will be able to purify the story from their contamination.
The first thing I decided
In the real world, Kaito and Momo recognize that it wasn’t Akiho the one talking, but the people of the Association + Akiho’s clan. This is for them the first time seeing Akiho loosing consciousness and trying to steal Sakura’s powers, even though it kinda already happened in Fujitaka’s library (but they weren’t there). From the new information given, we now know this is absolutely something that cannot happen: both for Sakura and for Akiho too, who would die as a human being if she were to absorb Sakura’s tremendous amount of power. It is clear as the day that Kaito will not allow any of that, because he cares for Akiho. And the clarification is finally crystallized in Kaito’s memory of their first (?) meeting: Akiho is still a kid, already capable to read, while he looks more or less of Syaoran and Sakura’s current age, or 1 year older maximum. His face rounder, his eyes bigger and kind. Akiho is surprised and I can almost imagine her reaction after this: “Is this person really talking to me???” Think what you want, but I can’t help but being happy that Akiho found Kaito in her life. We have yet to see how he went from “I don’t care” to “I’d give my life for her”. Yes. Kaito decides to stop the time of Akiho’s book as an emergency solution, preventing her from going “intercom-mode” everytime she comes in contact with magic. Momo is freaking out again, reminding him of what it means to meddle with time magic, but he doesn’t care. He took a decision that day. The very first thing he decided by himself. Until then, he only went with the flow, he accepted going into the Association not because he wanted to, but because he didn’t feel strongly against it. But Akiho, Akiho’s situation was the first thing that shook him enough for him to care. Kaito says that he still got enough life left to perform this spell, and in his smile it’s clear that he doesn’t care about the price he has to pay. This might be the last time he’ll be able to perform time magic. For sure he can’t go on much longer. And while this effort might save Akiho, will he kill her with grief for his premature disappearance? Momo is very angry at Kaito, and this is the reason why.
Heart hurts
Kaito rewinds time for a few minutes successfully and we’re back at the YamaChiha scene, when Sakura suddenly glomps Akiho out of nowhere, towels dropping to the ground, starting to cry. She’s visibly shaken, and nobody understands what the hell happened to her, even Sakura herself. But we do. Sakura’s power might be so strong that she’s starting to counter the effects of Kaito’s time magic, so her body and heart survived the time-rewinding. She’s still not conscious of her emotions, but when her brain will join in overthrowing Kaito’s magic, his tricks won’t work to keep her “ignorant” of the situation anymore.
Needless to say, Syaoran is worried sick, so much that he walks her home after school, and he CALLS HER exactly 2 minutes after leaving her, with her house still in sight. He says he’s still worried. Sakura says that as an apology for making them worry, she’ll bring some homemade sweets the day after (again the homemade thematic surfacing), and that she will try to explain to him what happened back at school, when she’ll find the words. The chapter ends with her iconic zettai daijoubu da yo, and we’re supposed to be relieved by that, but I’ve heard many people feeling still uneasy after reading this chapter. It’s absolutely worth mentioning that both Kero and Suppi freak out when they see Sakura returning with puffy red eyes, and I found especially cute that Suppi was so worried too. She’s really loved by everyone!
Now, I know Kaito rewound time again, but I think this time is slightly less meaningless. Cause of course Sakura couldn’t stay in that nightmare any longer. At some point time would have to flow again and Akiho would have absorbed Sakura’s power, determining the end (?) for both girls. They’re in a shitty situation and Kaito only seems to be able to put patches on it, but for how long? Am I enjoying this more serious turn of Clear Card? Yes I am. Especially cause I know that in the end everything will be ok, so I enjoy biting my nails (and screaming at the Squids, of course!) in the meantime. Thank you for staying with me for this rant too!! Let me know your thoughts, as always!

XD0-5 Gjallarhorn Prologue: A Chance Meeting
Sorry again for the spam. This will be the last of these before Valkyries’ Summer in late June.
If you want to blacklist these, you can use either the tag #gjallarhorn prologue or #xdu scripts
Reminder that these are copied straight from XD Unlimited itself, so any grammatical weirdness, mistranslations, and/or mischaracterizations are not my doing.
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Watch out!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "It's coming this way!"
Miku Kohinata: (I promised Hibiki. I promised that I was going to protect her!)
Chris Yukine: "I can't believe how big this thing is..."
Maria: "It really is massive. I have no idea where to start."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "You could broil it up and feed an army."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Sh-Shirabe? You aren't planning on eating it, surely?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Baked or broiled, nobody is eating anything until we bring it down."
Maria: "Yeah. Let's take it down before it makes more Karma Noise!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yes. The early bird gets the worm, after all!"
Chris Yukine: "I'm gonna skewer this thing with bullets!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Wh-What?! Her bullets went right through it?!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Can it possibly be ephemeral?"
Maria: "That's not it. When her bullets passed through it, it wavered slightly."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Meaning that it isn't completely immune to the laws of physics."
Kirika Akatsuki: "So it's like the first Karma Noise that appeared in this world?"
Maria: "Possibly. If we can just get our attacks to land somehow..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "All we can do is trust in our songs, and keep fighting!”
Tsubasa Kazanari & Maria: "Yaah!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "We're right behind you!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Let's go, Kiri-chan!"
Chris Yukine: "We'll cover you from afar!"
Miku Kohinata: "......"
Chris Yukine: "Hey! Are you listening?!"
Miku Kohinata: "Y-Yes, I hear you!"
Miku Kohinata: (I have to help Hibiki, and everyone else. I won't fail this time!)
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Our attacks are landing, but...." [1]
Kirika Akatsuki: "I can't see any sort of damage being done."
Chris Yukine: "Yeah... Its body just shakes and seems to fade for a second."
Maria: "I'm not sure if our attacks are dealing with the miasma, but it seems we've kept it from making more Noise."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "But we need to find a way to damage this creature."
Kirika Akatsuki: "We'll just wear ourselves out at this rate."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "HQ, any leads on a strategy to deal with this?"
Elfnein: "We're analyzing the data now!"
Elfnein: "I will try to temporarily recode the tuning algorithm for the Phase Contrast Barrier."
Maria: "Also, what's the status on the evacuation of the local population?"
Aoi Tomosato: "The effected area is very large. Not even half have evacuated yet." [2]
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Please work on both tasks as quick as you can! We don't know how much longer we can contain it!"
Chris Yukine: (And that's not our only problem, either...)
Miku Kohinata: "Haah... Haah... Haah..."
Chris Yukine: (She's exhausted.)
Chris Yukine: (Even in a normal battle, she'd be dead tired by now wielding a Gear she isn't used to yet.)
Miku Kohinata: (My body... won't do what I tell it to anymore.)
Miku Kohinata: (I have to fight on Hibiki's behalf!)
Miku Kohinata: (I promised I would protect her. But now, she's going to--)
Chris Yukine: "Snap out of it, moron!"
Miku Kohinata: "Huh?!"
Miku Kohinata: "Aaaah?!"
Chris Yukine: "Guh?!"
Miku Kohinata: "Ch-Chris!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yukine!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Chris-senpai!"
Chris Yukine: "Oww... You okay?"
Miku Kohinata: "Forget about me! What about you?!"
Chris Yukine: "Don't sweat it. It takes a lot more than that to take me down."
Chris Yukine: "Now get your head back in the game! Got it?"
Miku Kohinata: "Y-Yeah..."
Miku Kohinata: (I'm holding everyone back again...)
Tsubasa Kazanari: (Guh! We're losing our formation!)
Maria: (It's taking advantage of the lapse in our assault.)
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: (Damn, we lost our grip on it!) [3]
Kirika Akatsuki: "It's coming this way!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Get back into formation! Prepare to engage!"
Chris Yukine: "Watch out, I feel like the next one is going to be big!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "What can we even do?!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "There's nowhere to run or hide, you know!"
Maria: "Everyone, get behind me!"
Maria: "Ngh!"
Maria: (Please, I just need a little longer...)
Maria: (Crap! I can't hold it back!)
Wielders: "Aaaaaaaaaah?!"
Maria: "I-Is everyone all right?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Barely, but thanks to your shield..."
Kirika Akatsuki: "We're alive..."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "For the moment, that is..."
Chris Yukine: "Tch. This is so not fair..."
Miku Kohinata: "What can we do?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I can't think of any way to stop it..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Even if we used our Superb Songs, would they even get through to that thing?"
Maria: "I agree. This isn't something we can solve with brute force."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "But if we don't do something..."
Kirika Akatsuki: "I don't want to see us all die here."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What?!"
Maria: "Oh, no... It's got even more energy than it had before!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "An even larger energy source is converging on the enemy."
Aoi Tomosato: "There's... so much energy!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What's wrong?!"
Aoi Tomosato: "If this much energy is released at once, the city and the surrounding area will be reduced to ashes!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What?!"
Genjuro Kazanari: (We haven't even evacuated all of the civilians yet, but we can't just leavea all of our wielders in there--)
Aoi Tomosato: "Everyone, retreat immediately! Get out of there!"
Maria: "Retreat? Have the civilians been evacuated yet?!"
Aoi Tomosato: "They..."
Maria: "Then there's no way we can leave yet!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "If we run now, it's going to blow up the whole city, right?!"
Chris Yukine: "How the hell could we just run away?!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Girls..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: " guardian is both a sword and shield for the innocent. Abandoning those I am tasked with is unacceptable."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Tsubasa!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "It's coming!"
Maria: (Don't fail me now, Airget-lamh...)
Maria: "Everyone, get behind me again!"
Elfnein: "That will never work! The energy of this attack is far beyond the previous one!"
Maria: "If I can dampen the attack's power even a little, the others will have a better chance of survival!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yeah, as long as we have the strength for a single attack, there's still hope."
Chris Yukine: "I'd give my life to slit that thing's throat!"
Miku Kohinata: "......"
Miku Kohinata: "Before it's too late, I want to try something."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Try what?"
Miku Kohinata: "My Superb Song. I don't know if it'll work, but I at least want to try!"
Chris Yukine: "What the hell are you saying?!"
Miku Kohinata: "If doing nothing means we're all going to die, then I..."
Miku Kohinata: (Instead of being a burden, I can sacrifice myself, if it gives them at least a chance to survive--)
Chris Yukine: "No! Do you think that idiot would ever forgive us if we let you die?!"
Miku Kohinata: "But what about--"
Maria: "Oh, no! It's--"
Aoi Tomosato: "Get out of there!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "How could this happen..."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Aaaah!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Wh-What was that light?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It was like blue lightning!"
Chris YUkine: "Forget about that. Are we still alive?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yeah, somehow..."
Maria: "Did it cancel out the monster's energy blast?"
Miku Kohinata: "Huh... What happened?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What was that light?"
Maria: "Wait, there's someone behind us!"
???: "Wow, that was a close one." [4]
???: "Can't cut it much closer than that."
Maria: "I'm guessing she isn't a civilian straggler?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Who are you?!"
???: "Stand aside, girls."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: (She raised her hand to signal to someone.)
Tsubasa Kazanari: (Does she have reinforcements hiding somewhere?)
Kirika Akatsuki: "It's that light again!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "It's heading right for the monster!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It's working?!"
Maria: "Look... The monster is disappearing!"
Chris Yukine: "What the hell was that?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "She beat that thing? Or did it just disappear?"
Elfnein: "All signs of the monster's presence have vanished. The Gjallarhorn alert has stopped, but what was it?"
???: "What you saw in this world was only its projected reflection. The real one is in another dimension."
Maria: "Its reflection?"
Chris Yukine: "You're shady as hell. Just who are you?"
???: "I don't have time to tell you my life story, but let's just say that I'm not your enemy."
???: "So, do you happen to have Gjallarhorn by any chance?"
Wielders: "What?!"
???: "Yep, that reaction speaks volumes. You do have it, don't you?"
???: "By the way, is the girl on the ground back there all right?"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki?!"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki!"
Miku Kohinata: "Oh, good, she's okay."
???: "But wow, I can't believe there are seven of you."
???: "Yes, I understand."
???: "Well, I've got a monster to chase. I'll be going now."
Chris Yukine: "Chase? But how?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Wait! We still have questions--"
???: "You have Gjallarhorn, so you'll likely see me again very soon. I'll tell you the rest then."
Maria: "Because we have Gjallarhorn? What do you know?"
???: "The World Serpent is gathering strength, and parallel worlds are being destroyed."
???: "There will come a time when this world will also fall prey to its onslaught."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "When you say the World Serpent..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: (Was that the monster we just fought?)
???: "It's a magical beast that travels across the many parallel worlds, siphoning life from the stars."
???: "I'm sure you've been hearing it. The footsteps of ruin, I mean."
???: "Could you wielders be the sword that slays the beast?"
???: "Wielders of Gjallarhorn's choosing, we will meet again soon."
Maria: "She's gone..."
Chris Yukine: "What in the hell just happened?"
Kirika Akatsuki: "This is just crazy! I can't believe someone else knows about Gjallarhorn!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "She knew all about the parallel worlds, too."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "So that monster was the World Serpent... A magical beast siphoning life from the stars."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "Well, we've somehow managed to avert a crisis."
Aoi Tomosato: "Yeah, the city was saved, and our wielders made it back alive, but..."
Elfnein: "......"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Where in the world did that woman come from?"
Aoi Tomosato: "When she disappeared, several life forms in the area vanished from our readings at the same time."
Aoi Tomosato: "It's likely she didn't come alone."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Could she have come from a group with a technology to easily drive off that monster?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "I can only hope that they are on our side."
Aoi Tomosato: "Commander, there's more. When they disappeared, we had energy readings like those of Gjallarhorn's transport."
Genjuro Kazanari: "What?! Then that much mean..."
Elfnein: "They can travel between parallel worlds, too."
Genjuro Kazanari: "But how do they do it without the Gjallarhorn?"
Elfnein: "I cannot say for sure..."
Elfnein: "But they seemed to know even more than we do about Gjallarhorn and parallel worlds."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Hmm..."
Elfnein: (That aside, what could this World Serpent that is destroying parallel worlds be?)
Elfnein: (If something like that really exists, it is going to affect more than just our world.)
Elfnein: (The World Serpent, the destruction of parallel worlds, and Gjallarhorn...)
Elfnein: (The wielders have traversed many parallel worlds, rooting out abnormalities along the way...)
Elfnein: (But it appears the real battle has yet to begin.)
Notes:
[1] a rare four dot ellipsis
[2] "effected" should be "affected"
[3] Just like with Serena a couple parts ago, this was originally "dame" and probably would've been better translated as "No!" to stay a bit more in character
[4] Her name is Mina. Or Miina. Or Mena. Depending on how you wanna spell it.

4-11 A Light That Pierces the Clouds: Erosion
Sorry again for the spam.
If you want to blacklist these, you can use either the tag #a light that pierces the clouds for just this event, or #xdu event scripts or #xdu scripts
Reminder that these are copied straight from XD Unlimited itself, so any grammatical weirdness, mistranslations, and/or mischaracterizations are not my doing.
Hibiki Tachibana: (My chest feels suffocated... It burns...)
Hibki Tachibana: (It hurts! Somebody help me...)
Hibiki Tachibana: (No... No one will come. No matter how close they get, they'll always leave in the end.)
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki. Come on, Hibiki..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "...Huh?"
Miku Kohinata: "It's impressive that you're eating breakfast while sleeping, but keep it up and you'll be late for class."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Class? At Lydian? Why are you wearing that uniform?"
Miku Kohinata: "Are you still half asleep? We got to school together. Of course I'm wearing my uniform."
Miku Kohinata: "Here's your bag. I put in all your textbooks. We can run to class after you finish eating."
Miku Kohinata: "Are you done eating? Then let's go."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh?! Just... another dream?"
Hibki Tachibana: (She said she was here from a parallel world. Why have I been having these dreams since meeting her?) [1]
Hibiki Tachibana: "...What does it matter? I'm always along, anyway."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Again... What is this? A stone? It's... metal?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "......"
Hibiki Tachibana: (It feels like there's been gradually more of these things in proportion to the pain in my chest.)
Hibiki Tachibana: "......"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I can't believe there're so many Noise. I wonder if those three on the other side are all right."
Kirika Akatsuki: "We should be worried about ourselves first... Things are getting pretty rough."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Even so, we have to do this. Let's keep it up, Kiri-chan."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Of course. But if we could use X-Drive, we could clear out these Noise easily."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "No point in asking for what you can't have. We'll just have to do our best!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "We've got more Noise signals in the vicinity!"
Aoi Tomosato: "Wielder vital signs are declining! If they carry on fighting any longer..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Grr, fine then! We'll seal off the area and order the wielders to retreat."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I refuse to retreat!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Tsubasa?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "There's too many Noise. If we retreat now, who knows how much damage they'll do?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "With Tachibana as she is and Maria's group in the parallel world, our job is hold this line to the death!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Yeah... Maria's doing everything she can."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "We were entrusted with this world, so we'll see this through to the end!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "...Fine. But don't do anything stupid! We're sending out a rescue squad right now!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Well said, you two. Now... Let's do this!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Haah... Haah... G-Got it..."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "...I can still fight!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "That's right... Wring out whatever power's left in you!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Haah... Haah... Haah... How's that?"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Did we defeat them all?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "All Noise signals in the vicinity have vanished."
Genjuro Kazanari: "That was a hard fought battle out there. Well done!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Understood. Returning to base immediately."
Genjuro Kazanari: "No, we've sent a helicopter to get you. Stand by."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Roger that."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Standby? I can barely walk, let alone stand."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "I want to lay down here and sleep..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: (That huge swarm was like something from Solomon's Cane.)
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What's going on?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "A big welcome back to the three of you."
Elfnein: "I'm glad you're all safe."
Maria: "Never mind us. How are things going here?"
Chris Yukine: "Man... I could cut the tension here with a butter knife."
Miku Kohinata: "Tsubasa-san and the others aren't here..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "They were fighting Noise for a few days straight, which exhausted them. They're recuperating now."
Miku Kohinata: "Oh, no... Are they all right?!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "No need to worry. They aren't injured, just fatigued. They'll make a full recovery after a day of rest."
Miku Kohinata: "That's good to hear."
Chris Yukine: "Yikes. We came back at just the right time, then."
Maria: "Yeah, too close for my liking."
Miku Kohinata: "So, um... How's Hibiki doing?"
Elfnein: "She sometimes has fits and becomes very restless. When it gets really bad, we put her under sedatives."
Miku Kohinata: "Oh, no..."
Miku Kohinata: "I need to go check up on her!"
Maria: "There she goes... Let's leave those two alone for now."
Maria: "So, what's going on with the Gjallarhorn alert?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "It's still active. Actually, it seems to be getting worse."
Chris Yukine: "Getting worse? But we beat two of those Karma Noise! What's going on here?!"
Maria: "Considering the situation, it could be due to a threat even more deadly than the Karma Noise."
Chris Yukine: "Guh... Then it must be that big thing."
Genjuro Kazanari: "What big thing? What happened over there?"
Maria: "I'll explain. Have you heard of the complete relic, Goliath?"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki? She's still sleeping."
Miku Kohinata: (She looks so thin and pale... Even more so than before I went to the other side.)
Miku Kohinata: (Her hand... A hand that's joined so many others together...)
Miku Kohinata: "I will save you. So please, just hang on a little longer..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "The complete relic, Goliath. Something like that showed up?"
Chris Yukine: "You know about it?! Tell us in layman's terms!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Sorry. This is the first I've heard of it."
Maria: "On the other side, they said that the U.S. entrusted them with it. Maybe their government is hiding it?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "It's not completely impossible, but I can't imagine they'd just reveal that information to us."
Chris Yukine: "Then it was all a waste of time..."
Elfnein: "Hold on. I think there is still a potential solution we can find from the information at our disposal."
Maria: "Elfnein?"
Elfnein: "It retreats when night falls, right? If so, how does Goliath differentiate between night and day?"
Chris Yukine: "What do you mean? It retreats when the sun goes down."
Elfnein: "Is it visually looking at the sun set?"
Maria: "You mean a change in the amount of light? I'm not sure if it has what we would call eyes."
Elfnein: "Yes, that is likely true. Which implies that its hours of hibernation and waking follow a fixed cycle."
Elfnein: "If it is determining night and day based on the amount of light, we might be able to trick it."
Maria: "That seems worth a shot."
Chris Yukine: "Sounds fun. So how do we prepare that kind of light?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Ask Section 2 on the other side. They should be able to figure something out."
Maria: "Yeah. This just might work."
Chris Yukine: "All right! Then let's go back and mess up the big guy!"
Maria: "Wait. What about this side? We should at least wait until Tsubasa and the others fully heal."
Chris Yukine: "Oh, right..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "It'd be a big help if you wait here. Tsubasa and the others should wake up in a day or so."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "That won't be necessary..."
Maria: "Tsubasa?!"
Chris Yukine: "Are you sure you should be up?!"
Elfnein: "You must rest. Successive fights have caused your body fatigue and stress. You cannot recover this quickly."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It's just fatigue. It's nothing compared to what Tachibana's going through."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I will protect this world in her place."
Chris Yukine: "You may say that, but the others haven't woken up yet. As it stands--"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "No, they feel the same way, too. They're straining, but they're awake, and they're worried for Tachibana."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "If resolving the issues in the other world leads to Tachibana's recovery, then that's our top priority."
Maria: "Is she really looking that bad?"
Tsubasa: "Yes... I can't bear to look at her."
Elfnein: "Hibiki-san's fits are progressively becoming more frequent and intense."
Elfnein: "And her strength continues to weaken. If this continues, her life may be in danger."
Chris Yukine: "Are you serious?"
Maria: "I see now. We need to hurry back there."
Chris Yukine: "Yeah, you're right."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Hmph!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Raaaaaaagh!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Haah... Haah... Haah..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "This rumbling... Something's coming!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Guh..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I don't know what the hell you are..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "But since you're here now... I'll tear you down, too!"
Aoi Tomosato: "Oh no! We're detecting a signal thought to be Goliath!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What's going on?!"
Aoi Tomosato: "Gungnir's signal is on-site! Hibiki-chan... She's out there fighting alone!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What?! She's mad! Where's Tsubasa?!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "She can't move due to the after-effects of the Superb Song."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Gah... Do as much as you can to support Hibiki-kun! Hurry!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "U-Understood!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Guh! It's strong!"
Hibiki Tachibana: (It's way too powerful to fight head-on. If I take a clean hit, that'll probably be it for me.)
Hibiki Tachibana: (If only I had more power... more strength.)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Guh! Wh-What's going on? I feel... hot."
Hibiki Tachibana: (It's like my entire body's boiling... But!)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Hyaaaaah!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "I feel power flowing through me!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "I can fight now! I can beat it by myself!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Raaaaaaaagh! Guh... What?!"
Boy: "No! S-Somebody help me!"
Hibiki Tachibana: (He hasn't evacuated yet?! Why now?!)
Hibiki Tachibana: (Guh... I have to help him... No, I want to kill him...)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh? Wh-What was that?"
Hibiki Tachibana: (He's human, so I have to help him.) (Kill him! Slaughter the human!)
Hibiki Tachibana: "What... is this? Is there something inside me?"
Hibiki Tachibana: (It's like a vortex deep in my body... Spinning around and making me feel sick!)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Guh... Raaaaaaaagh!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Get away! Run if you don't want to die!"
Boy: "A-Aaaaaaaah!"
Hibiki Tachibana: (No... I don't want to kill him... What's going on with me?)
Hibiki Tachibana: (Was it... what that Black Noise did to me?)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Oh, no! Crap!"
Hibiki Tachibana; "Ah... Gah!"
Hibiki Tachibana: (I can't move. I've taken too much damage...)
Hibiki Tachibana: "......"
Hibiki Tachibana: (Is this the end for me?)
Hibiki Tachibana: "It's gone... Why?"

6-2 Innocent Sister: One More Serena
Sorry again for the spam.

Nastassja: "How are you feeling after that, Serena?"
Serena: "I feel a lot better, thanks to everyone's help."
Nastassja: "That's wonderful to hear. Don't forget to thank all the kind people who helped you."
Serena: "Okay, Mom."
Nastassja: "Nothing seems to be wrong with you, but would you mind taking a few tests before the experiment?"
Serena: "Tests?"
Nastassja: "I say test, but really we're just going to have a look at your phonic gain and vital signs in the simulator."
Serena: "Of course. I'll prove that I'm all better now!"
Nastassja: "I'm sure you will."
Nastassja: "Dr. Adolf, you'll be in charge of monitoring Serena's condition in the simulator." [1]
Dr. Adolph: "Understood. Everything's ready to go."
Serena: "I'll show you what I can do!"
Serena: "So? How was I?"
Serena: "I think I made one little mistake in there, but I wasn't too bad, right?"
Nastassja: "You did just fine. Seeing these numbers so soon after your recovery is very reassuring."
Serena: "What do you think, Dr. Adolf?"
Dr. Adolph: "......"
Serena: "Doctor?"
Dr. Adolph: "Your numbers were within the expected range. I couldn't see any issues."
Serena: "In that case, if I had done just a little better, I would have gotten even better results. Maybe I--"
Dr. Adolph: "I'm going to go and prepare the experiment."
Serena: "Umm..."
Serena: "Did I do something to annoy Dr. Adolf?"
Nasassja: "Don't worry, it's nothing like that."
Nastassja: "He was the one who spent the most time helping you recover, so he's still rather tired."
Serena: "Oh, I see. In that case, I'll be sure to thank him the next time I see him."
Nastassja: "That sounds like a good idea."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Take this!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What's the situation on the ground?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "We are currently engaging the Noise."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Evac of the surrounding areas is almost complete. We're lucky they only appeared in the outskirts."
Maria: "And Gjallarhorn?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "We'll look into that later. Just focus on the Noise for now!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Roger that. Yaaah!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "You know what, Tsubasa-san? I like large servings of food, but not large servings of Noise!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Naturally, Tachibana."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "So, let's make sure we stop their invasion right here, right now!"
Maria: "You said it!"
Maria: "Hey, have we ever had this many Noise appear after a Gjallarhorn alert?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Not that I can remember, no."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I knew something felt weird this time!"
Chris Yukine: "This is one crazy situation we've got here!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Well, at least there're enough wielders to balance it out. We'll just have to cut every last one down!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "That's right. Don't let a single one get away!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Hey guys, there's another mob of them coming our way!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "There are so many of them. We have to stand our ground!"
Maria: "This is quite concerning... Let's finish them off quickly and head back to HQ!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yeah!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "The wielders are holding the Noise off at the outskirts."
Aoi Tomosato: "Looks like there's a lot of them, but they've got things under control."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "The wielders have the upper hand, and as long as it stays that way, the current evac should be fine."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Good to hear. I always worry about what the Gjallarhorn alerts may bring."
Aoi Tomosato: "Those girls have always gotten through tough times in other worlds. Have a little faith."
Elfnein: "If there was only a way to observe the destinations beyond the gates beforehand..."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "I guess even alchemists aren't too good at observing parallel worlds, huh?"
Aoi Tomosato: "Commander!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "What happened?!"
Aoi Tomosato: "I'm detecting a huge energy signal out there! Wh-What on earth..."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "Comparing waveform patterns! I'm putting it up on the monitor!"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "What?! My goodness!"
Elfnein: "Impossible..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "It's... Nephilim?!"
Maria: "Yaaah!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "One more! Hyaaah!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Wait, there's still one left!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "What the hell is that?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "That's not a Noise! I-It's..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It can't be... But that shape!"
Maria: "Nephilim?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "What on earth is it doing here?"
Chris Yukine: "I guess nothing's impossible in parallel worlds, huh?"
Maria: "That thing must be what set off Gjallarhorn."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It could be a side effect of whatever's going on in the parallel world."
Maria: "If that thing came from the other side, I can't imagine things are going well over there!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "So there are worlds where it's still running wild?!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Are we gonna have to fight it again?!"
Chris Yukine: "We kicked its ass before, you know! We're just gonna have to do it again!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Good point! Nothing's gonna get past us, not even Nephilim!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Yeah, we're much stronger now than we were back then!"
Chris Yukine: "Our normal attacks work just fine. This shouldn't be any harder than the Karma Noise we just beat!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "This thing is no problem for my fists! Hyaaah!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "It's starting to slow down! Kiri-chan!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Let's do this, Shirabe!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Raaah!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "How d'you like this?!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Ugh! It's putting up a fight!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "And that was our best attack!"
Maria: "Shirabe! Kirika!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Keep your distance! It may just be a reflection of the full thing, but it's still a complete relic!"
Chris Yukine: "Then how about a ranged attack?!"
Maria: "It didn't connect?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "It just..."
Chris Yukine: "Faded away..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Excellent job dealing with the Noise, everyone."
Genjuro Kazanari: "As I'm sure you all know, there was a Gjallarhorn alert."
Aoi Tomosato: "The energy signal we picked up happened to be an exact match for the Nephilim from the Frontier Incident."
Chris Yukine: "Sounds about right. I'm kinda peeved it got away from us, though."
Maria: "Yes, that was Nephilim, all right..."
Elfnein: "In Genesis, the Nephilim are described as fallen giants, wiped out by the great flood summoned by God."
Elfnein: "I heard that that particular Nephilim was employed during the Frontier Incident."
Genjuro Kazanari: "We think the appearance of its reflection was a sign that Nephilim is appearing near this gate's location."
Elfnein: "If this abnormality isn't resolved soon, it will almost certainly materialize the next time it appears here."
Maria: "In that case, I'd like to be deployed on this mission!"
Maria: "Whatever's going on over there, that thing was F.I.S.'s mistake and I'm partly responsible for it."
Maria: "I have to be the one to bear this burden!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Maria..."
Kirika Akatsuki: "You're not trying to make up for the Frontier Incident, are you?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "If that's so, I'm coming with you."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It can't hurt to have someone with plenty of experience fighting Nephilim."
Maria: "Thank you, Tsubasa."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Do you mind if I come along as well?"
Chris Yukine: "I mean, I'm just as experienced, but... I guess I'll let you kick its ass."
Genjuro Kazanari: "There's a good chance that another new threat is waiting to strike."
Genjuro Kazanari: "So, I'll leave this mission to Maria-kun, Tsubasa, and Hibiki-kun given their experience in parallel worlds."
Miku Kohinata: "If Hibiki's going, then so am I! The policy is to leave behind three wielders for our world, right? So then--"
Genjuro Kazanari: "I know just how much you worry about Hibiki-kun, but I'm afraid that's a no-go."
Miku Kohinata: "You can't..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I know you were briefly a wielder once, but you were wielding a Shenshoujing that no longer exists."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Remember, Gjallarhorn-related matters are of absolute secrecy. Every detail of our activities is recorded."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I can allow you to train, but it would be reckless of me to let you participate in missions."
Genjuro Kazanari: "However similar this case may be to your last one, we can only deploy you when absolutely necessary."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Please try to understand."
Miku Kohinata: "But..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku. I want you to be here to welcome me home, and if it comes to it, make sure our world stays safe."
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I've got Tsubasa-san and Maria-san with me. I'll be fine!"
Miku Kohinata: "...I understand. I'll be waiting. But you have to let me know the MINUTE you get back, okay?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "I will! Thanks, Miku!"
Maria: "A forest? What on earth..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "This forest sure is dense. H-Hey! Look up at the sky!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "The moon is damaged! That means--"
Maria: "The Lunar Attack already took place in this world."
Maria: (So what has the F.I.S. here done with Nephilim, then?)
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What was that?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Let's go check it out!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "What is this place? A research facility, maybe?"
Maria: "What? It couldn't be--"
Scientist: "Wh-What the hell are you doing here?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "We need you to tell us what's going on here."
Scientist: "I can't! You have to get out of here or you'll all die!"
Maria: "I think we've heard enough. I know exactly why he's acting this way!"
Scientist: "H-Hey! Don't go in there!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "An explosion from inside!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Then I'm going to punch my way in! Hyaaah!"
Maria: "Th-That's..."
Serena: "......"
Maria: "Serenaaaaaaa!"
Serena: "Huh? Maria-nee-san... Is that you?!"

Genjuro Kazanari: "Well? Did you get anything out of Hibiki-kun?"
Maria: "No, nothing."
Maria: "We tried to get in contact several more times, but she barely spared a word for us."
Maria: "We can't have a conversation, let alone ask questions. I'm honestly not sure what to do."
Chris Yukine: "Seriously, what's her deal? Is she really the same person?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "I'm sorry."
Chris Yukine: "Nah, you don't gotta apologize, old man."
Maria: "I don't suppose you know why she might be acting this stubborn?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Well..."
Maria: "If there's anything you know, would you mind telling us?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "......"
Maria: "I realize it may be difficult to talk about, but we need all the help we can get at this point."
Maria: "If we can't get her to talk to us, then we're at a complete impasse."
Genjuro Kazanari: "All right. I'll tell you all I'm authorized to."
Chris Yukine: "So you do know something then."
Genjuro Kazanari: "She has a troubled past. She hasn't been willing to trust anyone after what she went through."
Genjuro Kazanari: "We tried to reach out and support her several times, but unfortunately, she wouldn't hear us out."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Whether fighting Noise is a hobby or a mission for her, I can't say, but she always shows up to fight."
Maria: "You mentioned a troubled past?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "She survived a certain incident..."
Maria: "You mean the Zwei Wing concert? When the Noise attacked during Tsubasa and Kanade Amo's performance?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "So you've heard of it. That'll make this simpler then."
Genjuro Kazanari: "She was subjected to baseless slander and blame by the victims' families because of the fact she survived."
Genjuro Kazanari: "She had nobody but her own family. And yet, she was even mistreated by the one place she could call home."
Genjuro Kazanari: "That must have hurt her in ways I can't imagine. But since we weren't involved, we'll never really know."
Chris Yukine: "Whoa. Back up real quick, old man."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Hm?"
Chris Yukine: "You just said she had nobody but her family. But what about her friend?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Friend? Who are you talking about?"
Maria: "Miku Kohinata."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Kohinata? Hmm... I heard she didn't have anyone she was close to."
Chris Yukine: "What the?"
Chris Yukine: "What the hell's going on here?"
Maria: "Either way, she's apparently not Hibiki Tachibana's friend here."
Chris Yukine: "Well then where is she? She's always tagging along with that moron."
Maria: "I'm not sure. We can't be sure if she's alive somewhere else or already dead... or whether she even existed."
Chris Yukine: "Hey, don't say creepy stuff like that."
Maria: "At any rate, that's not what's important right now."
Maria: "We at least now have a grasp of Hibiki's situation and background in this world."
Maria: "Moreover, we need her to tell us about the Noise she encountered."
Chris Yukine: "Regardless of how she feels about it?"
Maria: "That's not what I'm saying. But our priorities have shifted a bit."
Chris Yukine: "Rgh! More Noise?!"
Maria: "Maybe she'll come to fight them. It'll be a chance to make contact."
Chris Yukine: "It's not like we could just ignore the Noise, anyway."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Do you two mind helping me out?"
Maria: "Sure. What's the situation?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "They're still evacuating the nearby civilians. We can't let the Noise make their way any further into town."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I really need backup, so it'd be a big help."
Chris Yukine: "Forget backup, it looks like she's come to stick her nose into things."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Tachibana, huh?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "......"
Sakuya Fujitaka: "Noise signals have gone dark."
Aoi Tomosato: "No serious damage taken by the wielders, either."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Having reinforcements from a parallel world is proving to be a big help."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Too bad we can't ask them to stick around permanently."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "C-Commander! We're getting new Noise signals!"
Aoi Tomosato: "Wait... If the signal is this big--!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Could it be the thing from the other day?!"
Chris Yukine: "I think that mostly does it."
Maria: "Yes. Now we can finally have some time to talk to her."
Hibiki Tachibana: "......"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Watch out! There's a powerful Noise signal near your position! It's very likely the one from the other day!"
Maria: "Well, looks like we don't need to ask her for details anymore."
Chris Yukine: "Yeah. Guess this thing exists in this world too, huh?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What's with that Noise? Why does it look like that?"
Maria: "That's a Karma Noise. It's no ordinary foe, so be on your guard."
Hibiki Tachibana: "......"
Maria: (This signal... It must be the Noise she saw the other day.)
Chris Yukine: "Let's take it down quickly before it gets away!"
Maria: "I'm on it!"
Maria: "It's regenerating again?!"
Chris Yukine: "Dammit! This thing won't let up!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Rrraaaahhhh!"
Chris Yukine: "You idiot! Don't rush in without thinking!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Ahhh!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh?!"
Maria: "Yaaaagh!"
Maria: "Whew... I barely made it in time."
Chris Yukine: "Are you all right?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Mind your own business!"
Chris Yukine: "What?!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Everyone looks out for themselves. Nobody ever helps me when I need it."
Chris Yukine: "What are you talking about?"
Maria: "Wait! The Karma Noise just..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It vanished."
Maria: "Maybe it's because people were evacuated from the surrounding area?"
Chris Yukine: "Dammit! We were so close, and now we have to start all over again."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Rgh!"
Miku Kohinata: "Nice weather today, huh?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yeah. It's a perfect day for ice cream."
Miku Kohinata: (She's looking a little better.)
Hibiki Tachibana: "I wonder what Chris-chan and Maria-san are up to right now."
Miku Kohinata: "You don't need to worry about them. Right now, you just need to focus on yourself, Hibiki."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Haha, sorry, sor-- Ugh!"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Urgh! Ah... Aaaaah!"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki?! What's wrong?! Hibiki!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku..."
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I'm sorry... I'm putting you through so much stress."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Urgh!"
Miku Kohinata: "Don't push yourself, Hibiki! You shouldn't try to stand up yet."
Miku Kohinata: "Once you're feeling a little better, do you want to head home? Let's just take a moment to rest here, okay?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Okay..."
Miku Kohinata: (Why is she getting so weak like this?)
Elfnein: "Miku-san, I have some news. Could you come to the control room?"
Miku Kohinata: "Sure."
Miku Kohinata: "Sorry, Hibiki. I'm just going to talk with the others real quick."
Hibiki Tachibana: "......"
Miku Kohinata: "I'll be right back. You just wait here, okay?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What's Tachibana's condition?"
Kirika Akatsuki: "How's she doing?!"
Elfnein: "We've run several medical tests over the last few days, but sadly, we still don't know what's causing it."
Miku Kohinata: "......"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Hibiki-kun's state of exhaustion is abnormal. It's safe to say that this probably isn't any normal illness."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Do we have any ideas? Or even a tiny hint?"
Elfnein: "We don't know the cause, but her neural pulse is growing more and more erratic by the day."
Elfnein: "I believe her physical exhaustion is mainly in due to her mental state."
Miku Kohinata: "Her mental state?"
Elfnein: "Yes, that's right."
Elfnein: "You mentioned earlier that Hibiki-san had been having nightmares. Do you know what they were about?"
Miku Kohinata: "Well, I..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "It's a terrible, terrible nightmare."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I'm sealed away in the darkness, and there's nobody else around."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I'm suffering, and yet no one comes to help me."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Nobody to laugh with, no one to take my hand..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "It hurts so, so much deep inside. And at some point, I just started to accept it."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I'm scared."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Hibiki-kun was having nightmares that intense?"
Kirika Akatsuki: "That can't be right!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Yeah. Hibiki-san has all of our support."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "And yet something's going on. But what could it be?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Why now?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "The Noise may aggravate Tachibana's condition. We're going, you two."
Kirika Akatsuki: "On it!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "We need Hibiki-san to get her proper rest, after all."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Kohinata, you stick by Tachibana's side."
Miku Kohinata: "Thank you, Tsubasa-san. You be careful too, Shirabe-chan, Kirika-chan."
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki, I'm back."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Mi... Miku?"
Miku Kohinata: "Are you awake?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yeah. I thought I heard the alarm a little while ago."
Miku Kohinata: "It's okay. Tsubasa-san, Shirabe-chan, and Kirika-chan are handling it. You just relax."
Hibiki Tachibana: "i see..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Ah... I'm hopeless. I want to go out there and fight to hlep people, but in my condition..."
Miku Kohinata: "Look, your mission now is to take it easy and rest. Don't you get any funny ideas."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Take it easy? You mean, just for now, right?"
Miku Kohinata: "Hibiki?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "What's going to happen to me? At this rate--"
Miku Kohinata: "Nothing's going to happen to you. I swear on it... I swear that I'll never let anything happen to you."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Miku..."
Miku Kohinata: "I told you, it'll be fine. Now get some rest."
Hibiki Tachibana: "...Sorry."
Miku Kohinata: (Why...)
Miku Kohinata: (Why does Hibiki have to suffer these awful nightmares?)
Miku Kohinata: (What's making her feel so alone?)
Miku Kohinata: (What can I do to ease her suffering?)
Miku Kohinata: (I don't know... I don't know what to do, Hibiki.)

Kanade Amo: "Even now, that fateful day still haunts my dreams."
Kanade Amo: "Even in the midst of despair, Tsubasa never yielded. Her song burned with life, but her life also burned with it."
Kanade Amo: "From then on, with thoughts of my parents and Tsubasa in my heart, I discarded any song I couldn't use to fight."
Kanade Amo: "I haven't had a day without regret since. My maddening regret and hatred towards them have only increased."
Kanade Amo: "I've hit rock bottom. I can't even dream of singing with Tsubasa anymore."
Kanade Amo: "All that's left in my heart is my hatred for the Noise. My desire for revenge is the only thing that moves me."
Kanade Amo: "What would Tsubasa say if she saw me now? Would she be disappointed in me? Would she reject me?"
Kanade Amo: "But I can't fly with only a single wing. I couldn't bear to have her see me as I am now."
Kanade Amo: "The ideal me she imagined is long gone..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Kanade... Kanade..."
Kanade Amo: "Tsubasa..."
Maria: (She's Kanade Amo...)
Maria: (Now I see what's possible... We're in a world where Kanade Amo didn't die.)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Kanade-san... Tsubasa-san... Thank goodness..."
Maria: "Say, was Kanade Amo that important to you, Tsubasa?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "That's the biggest understatement! Kanade-san is..."
Kanade Amo: "Get away!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Huh? Kanade?"
Kanade Amo: "Shut up! Tsubasa is dead! You can't be Tsubasa! Who the hell are you?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I'm... dead?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "But I'm right here, Kanade..."
Kanade Amo: "I said shut up! How dare you toy with me like this!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Kanade, wait."
Kanade Amo: "What?!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Take those girls to HQ."
Kanade Amo: "What? Why would I do that?! They're imposters!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "I don't think any old imposter could wear a Gear. I have some questions for them. Please..."
Kanade Amo: "Tch... Fine."
Kanade Amo: "Hey, all of you. Follow me. Old man Genjuro wants to talk."
Hibiki Tachibana: "So we're going under Lydian as I thought. Hey, Tsubasa-san... Tsubasa-san?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Kanade..."
Maria: "Come on, Tsubasa. Snap out of it. Let's go."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "R-Right. Sorry about that."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "Tsu... Tsubasa-san?"
Aoi Tomosato: "Is she really... But how?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Are you really Tsubasa?"
Kanade Amo: "......"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I don't believe it. Section Two is exactly the same here."
Genjuro Kazanari: "The same? What do you mean by that? And... can we just call you Tsubasa?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yes, Uncle. It's true that I am Tsubasa Kazanari, but I am not the Tsubasa Kazanari you all once knew."
Genjuro Kazanari: "So you're saying you're not our Tsubasa?"
Maria: Yes. Here's the thing..."
Ryoko Sakurai: "Could you be from a parallel world?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "R-R-Ryoko-san?!"
Ryoko Sakurai: "Yep! Oh, my. Am I famous in your world, too?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Miss Sakurai..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I'm sorry, but allow me to gather my thoughts. So you're from a parallel world, you say?"
Maria: "Yes. That's right. The reason why we came is because..."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "We're detecting a high energy signal!"
Aoi Tomosato: "It's the Noise! The location is--"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Damn! Why now?"
Ryoko Sakurai: "Those Noise have no manners at all."
Kanade Amo: "I'll go!"
Ryoko Sakurai: "Wait, Kanade-chan! If you're going, take another shot of LiNKER."
Kanade Amo: "I know!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Kanade! I'm going, too!"
Maria: "Tsubasa! Oh, geez!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Tell me one thing... Are you wielders?"
Maria: "Yes, we are. Her, too. We are wielders of Airget-lamh and Gungnir, respectively."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Airget-lamh?"
Maria: (From her [1] reaction, it seems like Airget-lamh hasn't been found yet...)
Sakuya Fujitaka: "So they're all wielders..."
Aoi Tomosato: "I didn't believe there could be so many of them."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I'm sorry, but may I ask for your co-operation? Kanade is the only wielder we have right now."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Of course! You can leave it to us, Master!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Master? W-Well, if you're willing to help, then sure."
Ryoko Sakurai: "Hehe. Things are starting to get interesting."
Maria: "We took care of all the Noise here."
Kanade Amo: "......"
Kanade Amo: (Tsubasa's Ame no Habakiri... No, she's much, much stronger than I remember. Besides...)
Kanade Amo: (That girl's Gear is the same as mine...)
Hibiki Tachibana: "Hm? What's wrong, Kanade-san?"
Kanade Amo: "It's nothing."
Kanade Amo: (It's the same Gungnir, so then why is she so much stronger? What the hell's going on?!)
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Kanade... Um, are you all right?"
Kanade Amo: "Quiet. Stop trying to step in and fix things."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Sorry..."
Kanade Amo: "Tch... I'm going back."
Tsubasa Kazanari: (Kanade...)
Genjuro Kazanari: "I thank you for your assistance."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It's all right. It's my duty to protect the innocent from the Noise."
Genjuro Kazanari: "You really are Tsubasa all right..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Commander?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "No, I'm sorry. I can't help seeing the Tsubasa I know in you."
Kanade Amo: "Oh get real! They're not the same! Tsubasa... Tsubasa is..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Kanade, calm down. You won't be able to listen to what she has to say if you stay like this."
Kanade Amo: "Tch..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Sorry about that."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Don't worry about it."
Ryoko Sakurai: "More importantly, can you tell me more about your world? I'm very curious."
Maria: "Of course. We have lots of things we want to ask, too."
Ryoko Sakurai: "Well then, let's have ourselves a little information exchange."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I see. So you've come to this side using the power of a complete relic."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yes. And the reason Gjallarhorn connected the worlds was to resolve some sort of abnormality."
Maria: "Do you have any idea what it might be?"
Ryoko Sakurai: "Abnormalities you say? Oh, we have those. Too many of them in fact!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "That many are we talking about?"[2]
Genjuro Kazanari: "We've observed that among the Noise that appear, a group of them exhibits certain unique features."
Genjuro Kazanari: "That is likely the cause of the abnormality."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Unique features? What do you mean?"
Ryoko Sakurai: "When Noise come into contact with people, carbonization occurs. You know that much, right?"
Maria: "Of course."
Ryoko Sakurai: "These Noise appear survive the carbonization, and can continue carbonization people."[3]
Hibiki Tachibana: "What?"
Ryoko Sakurai: "The person is carbonized, but not the Noise. They continuously disintegrate every person they touch."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "My god... I can't even begin to imagine the amount of casualties!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Yes. Just one of those Noise can kill many people. On top of that, they're much stronger than your usual Noise."
Genjuro Kazanari: "We theorize that those Noise mutated for some reason, giving them their current trait."
Genjuro Kazanari: "We call them Karma Noise, but we don't know many details about them."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Karma Noise..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "We would be overjoyed if you were to lend us your help in resolving this matter."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Of course! You can count on us!"
Maria: "Yes. That's why we came here."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I will defeat that Karma Noise, no matter what it takes."
Kanade Amo: "Oh give me a break!"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Kanade?"
Kanade Amo: "No matter what it takes? that's not something you should just throw out there!"
Kanade Amo: "Besides, this world can solve its own problems! I refuse to accept help from a bunch of freaks!"
Ryoko Sakurai: "Kanade-chan sure is in a bad mood."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I'm sure she must be dealing with some conflicting emotions right now."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I'm sorry, but let's call it a day. I will provide one of our safe houses to you while you're here."
Hibiki Tachibana: "We would appreciate that."
Ryoko Sakurai: "By the way, are you able to freely move between your world and ours?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I wouldn't exactly say freely, but if we use the gate we passed through, we can return at any time."
Ryoko Sakurai: "Oh, I want to see! Can you take me?"
Maria: "You can't cross the gate unless you're a wielder. It only reacts to Gears."
Ryoko Sakurai: "Aww, really? That's too bad."
Kanade Amo: "Dammit... Why?"
Tsubasa Kazanari (Flashback): "I will defeat that Karma Noise, no matter what it takes."
Kanade Amo: "I won't let her say that in her voice... with her face. I'll never forgive her!"
Notes:
[1] Genjuro isn't a her...
[2] What is this wording, even? "How many are we talking about?" would be correct
[3] No wait, what is THIS wording? What she's trying to explain is that these Noise survive the carbonization from coming into contact with their victims and can continue to carbonize more people afterward.

Genjuro Kazanari: "It seems Gjallarhorn has connected to a new parallel world. Which means--"
Elfnein: "Yes. The parallel world's crisis is going to impact our world as well."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Right, one team will stay here to deal with Noise, and one team will go to the other side to perform recon."
Hibiki Tachibana: "But then..."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Who's going to the other side?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I'll go, Commander."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Tsubasa, are you sure? We don't know what kind of dangers are out there..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "That's exactly why I'm volunteering."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I see... You'll need to be extremely careful."
Maria: "I'll go too. That way, I can keep an eye on her."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I'll be counting on you, Maria."
Chris Yukine: "Then I'll take the last spot!"
Chris Yukine: "Last time, I had to hold the fort. And besides, you three..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Huh?"
Kirika Akatsuki: "What?"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "What is it?"
Chris Yukine: "...You still have summer homework left to do!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Gulp!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "We... Wh-What could you possibly be talking about?"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "...The jig's up, Kiri-chan. We'd better come clean..."
Maria: "To say that I'm not happy that you girls have been neglecting your studies would be an understatement."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I agree."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Very well then. Tsubasa, Maria-kun, Chris-kun. You three will head to the other side for a recon mission."
Hibiki Tachibana: "But I really wanted to go too..."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Me too. Guess we're on standby again."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Aww..."
Sakuya Fujitaka: "The three wielders' vitals are stable."
Aoi Tomosato: "The Gjallarhorn gate is also stable. They will be able to travel to the parallel world without issue."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Okay then, let's head over and investigate."
Maria: "I wonder what's over there. I hope the other side isn't too crazy of a place..."
Chris Yukine: "Doesn't matter what kinda place it is. If push comes to shove, there's nothing our Gears can't fix!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Tsubasa-san, Chris-chan, Maria-san. Be careful, okay!"
Elfnein: "There is no way to analyze the parallel world from here. Stay safe, and be very careful."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Recklessness is strictly forbidden. Just like Elfnein-kun said, getting back in one piece is top priority."
Chris Yukine: "Yeah, yeah, we know. You're like a broken record!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "All right, you two. Let's go."
Maria: "Right."
Chris Yukine: "Yeah."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Bring us back some souvenirs!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Take care!"
Maria: "Ngh, it's so bright!"
Maria: "Wha?! It's--?!"
Chris Yukine: "The sea... and a beach?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It appears practically untouched by humanity. Maybe it's a desert island?"
Maria: (A desert island... If I could spend my summer vacation on a beautiful island like this...)
Tsubasa Kazanari: "...Maria? What's wrong?"
Maria: "Nothing."
Maria: (If only I had my swimsuit!)
Chris Yukine: "At any rate, where are we? Do either of you know where this might be?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I don't have the faintest clue."
Maria: "Me neither... I'd never forget such a perfect vacation spot."
Chris Yukine: "Huh? Vacation?"
Maria: "It's nothing. More importantly, let's begin our investigation..."
Maria: "What's that sound?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It's coming from the sea!"
Maria: "Noise! And a big swarm of them. Heh... Maybe they came out to be our welcoming party."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Seems so. Then how about we show them our full appreciation!"
Chris Yukine: "Hah! Guess they didn't want us to feel lonely!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "The beach doesn't exactly make for an ideal battleground, does it?"
Maria: "Trying to fight on a beach may as well be like wearing shackles. Not to mention these sun rays."
Chris Yukine: "It's too hot and too bright. Even that little fight just now made me break a sweat."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "This appears to be a small island, but I have to wonder what that strange sound was and where it came from."
Maria: "Yeah. I don't know which way it came from, but it sounded like an animal's cry or maybe a roar."
Chris Yukine: "Just talking about it won't get us anywhere. We need to keep looking around."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yeah, let's go."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "For now, let's assume that the island isn't completely deserted..."
Chris Yukine: "I see roads and lighthouses, but there's no saying how long it's been since they were used."
Maria: "However long it's been, I can say for sure that there weren't many people living here."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Let's go a little further."
Chris Yukine: "Haah, haah..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yukine, are you tired?"
Chris Yukine: "How could I not be tired?! And what's with this forest?!"
Maria: "Mother nature, completely untouched by mankind..."
Chris Yukine: "Well it's making my feet hurt like a bitch! Isn't there some kind of path we could use?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "...Kanade really liked places like this."
Maria: "Speaking of, you haven't been to see her in a while, have you?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I-I can't just go to parallel worlds on a whim!"
Chris Yukine: "No reason to be shy. If you want to see her, then why don't you just go?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What are you saying? Using relics for personal matters is--"
Maria: "Okay, okay. Let's keep this investigation moving, girls."
Chris Yukine: "Senpai always clams up when it comes to her, huh?"
Maria: "Everyone has someone they cherish. It's nothing to be embarrassed about."
Maria: "...Though she is cute when she gets all bashful."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Ahem! I saw nothing abnormal in the forest, but we know Noise appear around here. Let's search elsewhere."
Chris Yukine: "More hot and sandy beaches. Ugh, I'm already drenched in sweat..."
Maria: "We're going to get sunburned before long. I wouldn't have thought to bring sunscreen to a parallel world."
Maria: (And I could go cool off in the ocean if I had my swimsuit with me...) Chris Yukine: "It's that sound again!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Is it related to the Noise?!"
Maria: "It may very well be. At least we've found out something."
Chris Yukine: "They're coming in droves... Jeez, do the Noise have a vacation home here?!"
Maria: (Vacation home... Imagine having a vacation home on an island like this. Imagine if I wasn't on a mission here!)
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Wake up, Maria! They're coming!"
Maria: "Seilien coffin airget-lamh tron."
Maria: "...I'll be just fine. Now, let's fight!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "This isn't any ordinary Noise!"
Maria: "And it packs a punch too!"
Chris Yukine: "It doesn't slow down... Crap, I can't hit it! Why's it so fast?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "We won't get anywhere without coordinating our attacks. Let's all attack together!"
Maria: "Right!"
Chris Yukine: "I'm gonna trap that thing inside a bullet hell! Let's do it!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yaaah!"
Maria: "Haaaah!"
Chris Yukine: "We did it!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Haah, haah... Seems like we brought it down."
Maria: "Haah, haah... What the..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Huh? Did that Noise just drop some kind of strange fragment?"
Chris Yukine: "I have a weird feeling about this. Something's just plain off."
Maria: "That Noise seemed to have abnormal strength, so perhaps it's related to the abnormality somehow."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Let's retrieve it and head back. The sun is going to set soon."
Maria: "Agreed. We weren't adequately prepared this time. Let's bring the fragment back for analysis."
Chris Yukine: "Yeah, I wouldn't want to stay here overnight, anyhow."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Then it's settled. We'll recover the unidentified fragment and return to base."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "...And that should catch you up."
Genjuro Kazanari: "A strange sound... I'm curious about it too, but you also mentioned something about a fragment?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Here it is."
Genjuro Kazanari: "What is this thing?"
Elfnein: "Could I see it, please? Wait, could it be?!"
Maria: "Do you know what it is?"
Elfnein: "I think that this is probably a fragment of a relic."
Genjuro Kazanari: "What?!"
Chris Yukine: "How did a Noise get something like that?"
Elfnein: "I cannot say. However, I presume it has something to do with this relic's special characteristics."
Elfnein: "It might also be related somehow to the other world's abnormality. Could you give me some time to examine it?"
Maria: "Of course, thank you."
Maria: "Shirabe, Kirika, I'm home!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "You're back already?!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Did anything happen over there?"
Maria: "Yes, plenty. We're preparing to make another visit."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Okay, but since you're back now, you can tell us all about it over dinner."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Good idea, Kiri-chan. Please wait a moment while I make some dinner for you, Maria."
Maria: "Thanks, you two."
Maria: "But are you sure this is okay? I'm not a student, so staying here overnight could be a problem."
Kirika Akatsuki: "It's not a problem! We received special permission!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Yeah."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Wh-What?! There's something in the ocean!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Hmm..."
Maria: (It's so nice for us to have the time to relax and watch a movie...)
Movie Sailor 1: "The rudder isn't working! Wh-What are we going to do?!"
Movie Sailor 2: "We'll have to use the life rafts! It's better than dying here!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "But it's dangerous out on open water!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Hmm..."
Movie Monster: "La... la... la..."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Wh-Wh-What?! There it is! It's the Siren!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Hmm..."
Maria: (Sirens... monsters that seduce sailors with their singing. This is an old-fashioned movie, all right.)
Maria: (...It's just like that sound I heard in the other world! If it's used to summon Noise to attack people...)
Maria: (Then that makes it just like this Siren's song.)
Movie Sailor 1: "Th-The boat's getting pulled in! What's with that voice?! Ah, aaah... aaaaaaah!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Aaah! I-I can't look anymore!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Hmm..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Right, your investigation restarts now. Find out how the sound and relic fragment are related to the Noise."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Understood."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "In the mean time, I'll need the rest of you to deal with the Noise here." [1]
Hibiki Tachibana: "Right! You don't need to worry about a thing on this end!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Just leave everything to us!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Yeah, we have things covered."
Chris Yukine: "Don't use the Noise as an excuse to skip out on your homework!"
Aoi Tomosato: "Please take this with you."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What's this?"
Aoi Tomosato: "Since you weren't fully prepared last time, we've prepared you some location appropriate provisions."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Thank you very much."
Elfnein: "Um, about the relic fragment you gave me earlier..."
Maria: "Did you find out anything?"
Elfnein: "Yes. I have found that at the very least, it exists in our world as an unknown relic."
Maria: "An unknown relic?"
Elfnein: "Since it was dropped by a Noise, I think it must hold some sort of special properties..."
Elfnein: "I will need more samples and a bit more time to solidify the details. Therefore--"
Chris Yukine: "We know. Just leave it to us!"
Elfnein: "I really appreciate it."
Genjuro Kazanari: "We're counting on you three!"
Chris Yukine: "Phew... It's as hot as ever. What's inside that bag you brought?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It appears it has..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "...swimsuits?"
Chris Yukine: "And a camping set? Did we come here to goof off or what? I didn't plan on sleeping in the great outdoors..."
Maria: "What's wrong with a few summer activities? Plus, it's so hot, it only makes sense to wear a swimsuit."
Maria: (Besides, a swimsuit is a simple luxury you can afford yourself when on a tropical paradise!)
Chris Yukine: "Not to say I'm not sweating buckets here, but who ever heard of someone doing recon in a swimsuit?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "At any rate, if we need to fight, we will use our Gears. Let's just be grateful and change."
Chris Yukine: "Whoa, what happened to you being the serious one?"
Chris Yukine: "Man, I feel like I can actually move around now, and I feel a lot cooler too. Not bad at all."
Maria: "Maybe S.O.N.G. is trying to be considerate by giving us a little taste of vacation while we're on a mission?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Vacation... It definitely does feel that way, huh?"
Maria: "Hehe, right? Hey, since we're here in swimsuits, why don't we go for a quick dip in the--"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Wait! It looks like we've got Noise."
Chris Yukine: "Again?! Ugh, if they're good at anything, it's at cutting people off!"
Maria: (My...vacation...)
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Maria?! What's wrong?!"
Maria: "So I don't have the right to enjoy summer after all? Not even a little swim in the sea?!"
Chris Yukine: "Whoa! Did she just snap?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I-I'm not too sure myself..."
Maria: "Fine then. If you're going to get in the way of my summer, I'll crush every last one of you!"
Maria: "Seilien coffin airget-lamh tron."
Maria: "Prepare yourselves. For the radiance of my silver arm will exterminate you all!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "M-Maria, your Gear!"
Chris Yukine: "Wh-What is that? A swimsuit?"
Maria: "Swimsuit? Huh? Wh-What is this?!"
Maria: (It's like the heat's melting away... But anyway!)
Maria: "We can worry about that later! We need to take care of these Noise first!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Ngh, just as I thought, I'm practically handicapped in this unstable sand... But that's not all!"
Chris Yukine: "We can't avoid being blinded with the sun reflecting off the waves! Oh, you missed one. That's not like you."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Sorry, Yukine. I don't know what's come over me..."
Chris Yukine: "Compared to me struggling over here, you ain't doing too bad."
Maria: "Yaaah!"
Maria: "I feel so light!"
Maria: "It's heat resistant and moves over the sand like it's nothing. It's like it was custom-made for beaches!"
Maria: "I'll clean them all up right now!"
Maria: "It looks like that's all of them..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Yeah. Now about that Gear."
Maria: "I don't understand it either... It's like something just awakened in me..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Did your Airget-lamh somehow awaken and transform?"
Maria: "Why would it awaken now?"
Chris Yukine: "Well, there's no sense in dwelling on it now. So how was that Gear then?"
Maria: "It was easy to fight in and is suitable for this terrain."
Chris Yukine: "You're right. I could tell just by looking."
Maria: "I don't know how it turned into a swimsuit, but it may just be what we need in order to fight here."
Chris Yukine: "Ugh, that sound! They're back again?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What on earth is that sound... Is it coming from the Noise?"
Maria: "A call that summons destruction... like a Siren."
Chris Yukine: "A Siren... Hah, bring it! I bet it's nothing compared to our songs!"
Maria: "Of course!"
Maria: "Seilien coffin airget-lamh tron."
Maria: "...No matter how many Noise are summoned, it'll never drown out our song!"
