I can say without a hint of irony that this dumpster fire of a photoshoot will be the last time I shoot group photos

There's a good reason that I pretty much shoot everything but people. Plants and animals don't complain that their shirt has a wrinkle or one of them wasn't looking the right direction or their smile isn't full enough or their hair is weird or the light isn't what they thought it would be (on a 100% overcast rainy day! Which I already warned them would be difficult weather for what they wanted!) or there's a branch near their face or one of them kept moving or someone was frowning or somehow each different person pulled a weird face in almost every separate shot and they all want a re-shoot of the entire photoshoot because THEY weren't taking the first one seriously enough despite it going on a full-page ad that is going to be distributed to 2 entire counties and possibly online 🙄.

I also want to note for the record that I wasn't actually *asked* to do this photoshoot (I was unwillingly volunteered by someone else) and the person who wanted it done apparently had a somewhat clear vision that they never shared with me about how they wanted to do it, waited til the last three days of the deadline to actually start organizing the group and even then it was only after I said that we'd better get on it if they wanted it done (like, were you waiting for me to organize it? Bc that wasn't discussed when this was first mentioned almost 2 months ago). And now everyone's complaining that they didn't look perfect and they didn't think it was very representative of the group (ironic bc it very very VERY much IS, actually) and they aren't happy with the results and I keep getting asked to do vastly different things during editing and no one can decide on which image they want to use or if they want me to edit it or have the magazine work their magic on it or if we should just do a full re-shoot because no one looks their best and I'm like [shrug emoji]

Honestly if you wanted magazine ready results then you should have done just about every single step of this a little differently, up to and including forcing a *nature photographer* to take a group portrait against their will 😏
