Being Jackieshauna's Controversially Young GF
pairing: jackie taylor x r / shauna shipman x r note: yes, i will always manage to make it about jackieshauna.
Jackie definitely brings a “we saw you from across the club and loved your vibe” energy to the party, and you’re just kind of glancing at Shauna glaring at you over her shoulder. like, does her ass know that? Shauna’s all for it, but the glower takes breaks for no one.
Shauna loudly refers to you as their daughter at least once to embarrass Jackie. preferably right after she’s kissed you in the grocery store. Jackie tells her off for the whole drive back, but Shauna's ass does not care. hands at ten and two on the wheel and the smuggest fucking look on her face. loses the attitude when Jackie starts throwing blankets on the couch, but it’s over for her at that point.
Jackie’s introducing you to all her friends without shame, and Shauna’s just daring someone to say something.
You start to wonder if Shauna’s main reason for dating you is all the opportunities it gives her to embarrass Jackie. One of their friends asks where you met, and Shauna says something like, “Jackie stole her from the cradle.” Jackie’s over there doing a spittake as she nearly chokes on her wine. she just loves to make Jackie squirm.
Now, if someone else makes a comment about it? Jackie’s going to have to drag her out of there or blood’s going to be spilled.
Jackie insists on making you watch the "classics," but it’s mostly just beaches over and over again. she refuses to move on. Shauna’s three glasses of wine in before the movie even starts. she’s seen it so many times she can recite it line by line.
Shauna throws Star Wars in there, but it’s mostly just because she knows Jackie's sick and tired of watching it. Shauna's got to get revenge somehow.
Shauna comes up behind you and just stands there, glaring at anyone that tries to approach you. God forbid you mention having to meet someone at the library for a project. you’ve never heard a more terrifying “Oh?” in your entire life. she’s dropping you off in her little minivan like your a child. talking about “I’ll be back in two hours.”
Jackie consistently tries to match your schedule to stay up with you, but it's always lights out for her at 10 PM sharp, no matter how hard she tries. she’s so competitive with it though, so sometimes the two of you just have to pretend you’re going to sleep so that Jackie won’t be an absolute nightmare in the morning. she wakes up once to find you in the living room doing something else after you've “gone to sleep” and won’t speak to you for at least a day.
Shauna likes to teach you how to cook (spices who? ), but Jackie always hovers around giving bad advice. They end up bickering about it every time, and the food gets burned. Shauna’s so frustrated she can barely look at Jackie, and Jackie’s ass is skipping over to the takeout menu drawer.
Jackie and Shauna have separate bank accounts just so Jackie can make Shauna pay for dates still. It’s the small things.
Shauna’s more self-conscious about initiating PDA, given that she’s a lot more aware of the age difference in a way. Jackie’s always the one to initiate it first; whether it’s holding your hand or practically climbing on top of you, trust that Jackie does not care.
Jackie’s way too invested in any of your friend group gossip. she’s expecting daily updates. Shauna “doesn’t care” and yet still knows every detail. interesting.
Any argument Jackie is losing, she pulls the “listen to your elders” card. It’s the only time you’re ever allowed to acknowledge that she’s older than you, unless it’s to call her a milf. she’s partial to that, no matter how much she pretends not to.
Shauna tries to give you advice that you barely listen to because her life is a train wreck. Let's be honest, she pulled Jackie by accident. Who else was going to match her freak?
Jackie’s embarrassedly knowledgeable about slang for her age. you’re not sure what's worse: Shauna purposely using it wrong to embarrass you, or Jackie using it correctly at her advanced age.
Every gift you’ve ever received from the two of them has been one that Jackie bought and put Shauna’s name down on. It’s not to say that Shauna can’t get thoughtful gifts, but if it’s from the both of them, it’s really just from Jackie. Jackie thinks you don’t notice, but she always overexaggerates Shauna’s bad handwriting when signing the card. it goes from being slightly unreadable to looking like a five-year-old wrote it.
Jackie tries too hard with your friends and always comes off as the like “cool mom” type. she’s out here offering snacks. shauna’s making it awkward by asking one with a Nirvana shirt to name five songs.

hc!friends to lovers
lottie matthews x fem!reader
summary: going from friends to lovers with lottie
warnings: lottie mentioned as lesbian once, pure fluff, nsfw at the bottom so MDNI there, not proofread
this was a request so i hope you enjoy it 🤞
@l0tt1emy this is me tagging youu
WHEN FRIENDS
୨୧ being friends with lottie matthews would include spend your saturday night on her huge house (more like a mansion to you) when her parents were out for work or just so busy that they wouldn't even notice you there
୨୧ you didn't know that, but she would spend the entire day thinking about you when it was a sleepover night
୨୧ sleepovers would be a casual thing for you and it was your favorite moment of the day cause lottie would turn it into a fashion show to model her new clothes for you
୨୧ speaking of it, you would constantly find yourself waiting in fitting rooms and their uncomfortable seats when lottie was trying on thousands of clothes just to buy (steal) one or two
୨୧ "do you think it looks too pink?" lottie comes out from behind the curtains to display the outfit she was trying on, featuring a fluffy pink cropped cardigan with short sleeves paired with a high-waisted, pink skirt that features vertical stripes
୨୧ "no, you look perfect," you say softly, eyes filled with affection while feeling a nervous flutter stirs in your stomach
୨୧ in parties, you would usually stick to her side and even though lottie wasn't extremely popular, people knew who she was. either because her parents had loads of money or cause, let's be honest, she fucking was stunning
୨୧ when offering to get her a drink and she would look at you with those pretty eyes and nod like "okay :)))"
୨୧ if you were part of the yellowjackets, during jackie's idea of telling the girls what you admire about them, you would DEF make her blush on purpose
୨୧ "lottie matthews..." you say lightheartedly and she's already screaming internally "you have the prettiest hair i’ve ever seen and a great fashion sense. and, yeah, you suck at french but you are so good at soccer and you have the biggest and kindest heart ever"
୨୧ and she's giggling and nervously rocking from side to side with her cheeks matching the color of her clothes
୨୧ lottie was a lonely kid and since her parents were always away, she would be taken care of by maids and housekeepers so she was easily anxious when speaking to people her age. luckyfor her, she would hide it quite well and the mean and cutesy lesbian in her would mask it greatly
୨୧ "does someone want to tell kelly kapowski to maybe worry less about prom and more about not fսcking up nationals?" lottie was mumbling in front of the mirror, fixing her bangs and makeup and you were ready to agree with anything she said
୨୧ "i know right?" but you didn't even know what kelly kapowski had said
୨୧ putting her money to good use, one of her favorite ways to show you how grateful she was for your friendship was to buy you things. not like once or twice but ALL. THE. TIME.
୨୧ books, vhs tapes of your favorite movies, vinyl, a cute dress you mentioned once, nice shoes, stuffed animals, things that reminded her of you. all you can possibly think of!!!
୨୧ "lot, you didn't have to. this must have cost a fortune!" and it's just her standing at your front door, hidden behind a huge teddy bear she bought for your birthday and a brand new walkman
୨୧ one night, when lottie's parents were home, she sneaked you in and you almost fell to your death when climbing the walls like fucking spider-man and getting to her room through the window but her perfume lingering around made everything worthy when she hugged you
୨୧ "thank you for coming, i know it's late," she lies in bed and tap the empty space beside her for you to join her. "it's okay, i was just watching a movie. i'm glad you called me"
୨୧ 'movie’ you said, but the flashback of you sleeping buried under the covers and snoring like an old guy comes to your mind...
୨୧ i feel like lottie would have a hard time opening up to people and letting them in but if they were genuine, she would trust them. but def insecure about telling you about her visits to the psychiatrist cause we all know she's just a silly girl with a few issues...
୨୧ but you were so respectful, reassuring and understanding to her that she doesn't feel ashamed or judged
୨୧ during that specific night when you were just hanging around together in her bed and talking about life, an accidental graze of her nose on yours led to an awkward moment that led to awkward giggles and an awkward and messy kiss and this was all you needed to call her your girlfriend
WHEN DATING
୨୧ even when dating, lottie would often feel insecure and ask you for help. reassuring her and telling her that there she wasn't broken and there was nothing wrong with her was something you always had to do but it didn't bother you at all. you were lottie's biggest worshiper and could spend hours just telling her how BADLY you loved her
୨୧ hear me out. lottie was a big fan of holding hands. you could be in class, watching a movie, reading together, talking with your group of friends, and even eating, but she was ALWAYS staring at you with pleading eyes and her palm facing up, extended in your direction, ready for you to hold her hand
୨୧ if you think she spoiled you too much already, you better take a seat cause that girl would show up at your place with presents all the time. "i know we agreed on saving money but i know how badly you wanted these..." you're speechless when she gives you something you really wanted
୨୧ but you can't get mad, you just thank her and kiss her adorable pout :(
୨୧ loves loves LOVES to give you small gifts as well like a pretty shell she found when going to the beach once or even her ENTIRE shell collection
୨୧ strongly believe that she would be the greatest big spoon ever and would love to cuddle you but doesn’t complain if you want to hold her
୨୧ lottie is TALL. a three would be afraid of her! im 100% convinced that she would put your stuff in a place you can't reach so you have to ask her for help. "baby, are you busy? can you get that for me?" and she's fighting demons to maintain her composure, resisting the urge to smile as she handles you the book she had just tucked away on the top shelf
୨୧ over protective lottie!!! she isn’t exactly jealous cause she trusted you a lot but is always around and keeping you in her sight. she has her arm around you all the time, drives you EVERYWHERE (makes her driver do that), and is always ready to defend you
୨୧ oh the many things that happened in the backseat that the poor driver had to ignore...
୨୧ if the crash had happened, one single mumble of yours about how hungry you were was ENOUGH for her to call nat and travis out. "lottie, there's no food. we looked everywhere!" "look harder!"
NSFW (MDNI)
୨୧ lottie spoils you with cute gifts but she’s not innocent. she would buy you the prettiest lingerie in the store just to fuck you in those 🤭
୨୧ she would adore when you face ride her. she just can’t resist to your moans and soft noises or how you feel so shy and dirty about it but just can’t stop. she loves to feel your legs around her face
୨୧ in fact, i’m a strong believer that she could just cum by hearing you moan her name. you can’t believe your eyes when you feel her nails dig into your thighs and lottie desperately closing her legs and rubbing them together, groaning into your pussy :(
୨୧ big fan of overstimulating you!!! holding your hips to keep you riding her face or her strap if she’s under you or rubbing your clit even after you made a mess on her fingers just to watch you squirm and cry for her 🤓
୨୧ i’ve mentioned this before BUT fucking you against a mirror in dressing rooms? she’s all in. even better if she’s fucking you from behind with a strap AND forcing you look at your messy and humiliating reflection in the mirror
୨୧ now when it comes to her, she loves when you suck her but keep your eyes on hers. eye contact is!!!! her fingers go crazy in your hair, pulling and holding so tight that it hurts but you don’t give a damn about it
୨୧ she wouldn't ever say no but she prefers to have her time with you instead of quickies. im a lottie hopeless romantic truther!!!
୨୧ i feel like she's not really loud when you're eating her out or fucking her, she just moans your name and lets lots of soft, weak and breathy noises and whimpers out 😵💫

Manipulation
Fem!reader x Isaac Garcia
Summary:
You're struggeling to find a date for the summer ball
♡ ♡ ♡
When the teachers first announced the summer ball, you didn’t think it would be such a big deal to you.
School dances are never really that cool after all.
Especially with the teachers around who always find a way to destroy the mood: Either by constantly keeping an eye on the drinks to make sure nobody manages to slip some alcohol in, or by trying to make (really awkward) conversations with their students.
At least, that were your experiences in your former high school.
Maybe here in Colorado things are different, because somehow all of your friends are super excited.
And it´s really contagious!
To your own surprise - a few days later you are pretty excited, too.
One of the major topics among the students (other than which dress would be the perfect fit) is, of course, who will go together.
There are quite a few cute boys in your school and some of them are also very popular among the girls.
Of course most of the girls are all over Cole Walter, the cool guy, the bad boy.
This is going to be really interesting, especially because of the tension between him and Jackie. You can almost bet that he'll ask her, not caring if this will break both Erin's and Alex' heart.
In the meantime, you are secretly hoping for being asked by Isaac.
In school the both of you don't really cross paths, but whenever you visit Jackie, you always end up playing at least one video game with him. He just always seems to be there, whether you and Jackie hang out in the living room or grab some snacks from the kitchen. He appears out of nowhere and always jokes around with you.
While Jackie reacts really annoyed most of the times, you enjoy his company.
"Why is he always there? Katherine promised that we can have the living room this afternoon!"
Most of the time you just shrug. "I don't mind him staying. Maybe our movie choice will scare him away anyways."
Well, most of the time it didn't. No matter what kind of film you chose, Isaac stayed. To your surprise he didn't even play games on his smartphone but actually paid attention.
"That's the kind of films you like?" He asked you once after you and Jackie watched a sappy love story.
"Among other things, yes."
He seemed surprised but didn't say anything about it.
♡ ♡ ♡
The weeks pass by pretty fast and most of the handsome boys are already taken.
As far as you heard, Isaac doesn't have a date yet but with his good looks it's only a matter of time until he is taken, too.
You start to get really nervous, as you don't know what to do. Should you wait until he makes the first move - if he even plans on asking you - or should you take action yourself?
Do you even have the courage to ask someone out?
God, why does it have to be so complicated?
You think about asking your friends for their opinion, but first of all this would mean admitting your crush on Isaac to Jackie - and since she basically lives with him this would be very weird.
Second, all your friends were busy preparing their own dates. All they talk about are dresses, high heels and how their perfect evening at the ball would look like.
To be honest, they had pretty high expectations, but for them it was at least realistic.
Unlike you, Jackie doesn't give up that easily when it comes to your date.
"Someone will ask you, you'll see!", she smiles at you as you and your friends enter the ball gown shop. “You´ll regret it when someone asks you and you don´t have a dress. Trust me, the best ones will be taken in a few days.”
Damn, she can be really convincing and she knows it!
♡ ♡ ♡
Three days until the ball and still nobody even seems to think about asking you out.
Slowly you start to get really nervous.
Why does no one ask you?
You have never been insecure about your looks but this situation really makes you doubt. Are you that unattractive? Or is it your personality? Do you annoy people?
Your excitement for buying a beautiful dress and having a wonderful night slowly fades and turns into anxiety.
Why did you even buy a dress… was is arrogant to buy one without having a date, because you thought of course someone would ask you?
Jackie really tries her best to cheer you up, but nothing she says makes you feel better.
You curl up in her bed, hugging her pillow tight to your chest. “I´m not going to the ball… it´s embarrassing to show up alone…”
“I´m sure somebody will ask you. Maybe he´s just nervous.”
"Don't be ridiculous! There are only three days left. All the guys who don't have a date yet, are not going."
"Don't lose hope! Somebody will ask you for sure!"
Jackie and your other friends have been telling you the exact same thing for almost two weeks now.
In the beginning you were very confident and believed them, but with every day and as everyone else in your friend group got a date, you slowly start to lose hope.
And now you are convinced that nobody is gonna ask you.
“Maybe I´m just ugly.”
Jackie lies down next to you and pulls you into a comforting hug. “Y/N L/N, don´t you dare to even think that!”
For a while you stay quiet, trying to find comfort in Jackys words… until your thoughts mess with your head again.
But what if it´s true? What if you´re really ugly?
“I know it´s stupid”, you start again, repeating what you already said several times, “It´s just a ball, maybe I shouldn´t make such a big deal out of it.”
Jackie hugs you a little tighter, her chin resting on your shoulder. “It´s not stupid… I totally understand how you feel.”
Does she really? From what you know, Alex and Cole almost started a fight about who´s going to be her date. You can´t help but feel jealous off her. She has boys fighting over her and no one even thinks about asking you. It is like you are invisible.
Damn, seems like all your favorite high school movies lied! Just because you moved here at the beginning of the school year, it doesn´t make you more interesting among the boys.
But on the other hand… for Jacky the new girl fantasy is true.
“Hey, we can go together if you want”, Jacky starts another attempt and grabs your hand, pulling you to your feet.
A broad smile spreads across her face as she intertwines your fingers and whirls you around, pretending to be on the dance floor already. “We would definitely make the prettiest couple!”
You can´t help but laugh as you pretend to bow and place a quick kiss on her hand. “Mylady!”
This is again one of those moments, in which you realize how much you love Jackie. She is an amazing friend and probably the only one who always knows how to cheer you up.
With a grin she rises an eyebrow. “So we have a date?”
The smile disappears from your face as you sit back down on her bed. “No, I don´t want to crash your date with Alex.”
“Don´t worry about him, I´m sure, he´ll understand. I can go out with him another time.”
“No, it´s… it´s fine. Maybe I don´t even have time to go to the ball…”
Lies and excuses. You don´t really think about your words as you babble on about what you plan to do instead. Maybe you could call your old friends from your hometown. Maybe you could watch a movie with your siblings. Maybe… you stop mid thought.
Are you trying to convince Jacky that you´ll be just fine or are you trying to convince yourself?
You feel the tears welling up in your eyes.
Quickly you jump to your feet again. The last thing you want is to cry in front of Jacky. It would make her feel even worse. Besides, you really hated crying in front of others.
Murmuring something about having to go to the bathroom, you rush out of her room and almost bump into Lee.
“Y/N!” He sounds surprised but happy to see you. The two of you aren´t close enough that you would call him your friend, but you always enjoy talking to him whenever you see him in school or at the Walters´ house.
“Hi, Lee”, you murmur, your voice sounding way too high and on the edge of breaking. Quickly you turn away from him, trying to hide your tears, but he still seems to notice.
His smile fades. “Hey, what´s wrong?”
“It´s nothing…” You try to walk past him, but he blocks your way.
“It´s not nothing! You can tell me, you know?”
“It´s stupid… it´s just…” You sigh heavily. “It´s about the ball… nobody has asked me yet and that really messes with my head. I just don´t understand it. Do boys really hate me that much?”
You do not really expect an answer, but then you see Lee´s face. His eyes widen, as if he just came to a realization. “Em… I don´t…”
“You know what´s up!” You stare at him in disbelief. “Tell me!”
“I´m not sure if I…”
“TELL ME!”
Lee sighs heavily. “Okay, maybe I know something…”
You cross your arms in front of your chest and give him a suspicious look. “What is it? Oh come one, spit it out!”
His hesitation annoys you deeply, as you were never the calm and patient type.
Lee avoids to look you in the eye and stares at his shoes instead. “Maybe it´s just a rumor but… I heard that Isaac tells boys to not ask you to the ball.”
Your jaw drops. “He what?”
Lee couldn´t look more uncomfortable. “Well… I heard Dylan telling his friends, that he wants to ask you to the ball and... when Isaac heard that, he told him that you definitely didn´t want to go with him. He said that you were really picky when it came to boys and… that you always made fun of the boys that you rejected… saying how pathetic they are and that you are totally out of their league.”
Your heart clenches inside your chest and the feeling of betrayal rises inside you. It hurts to hear how Isaac talks about you behind your back.
You´ve always thought he was cool and the two of you always got along well, damn it, you even have a crush on him.
“Thank you, Lee, and if you excuse me now, I have to talk to your brother!” Your voice trembles with anger.
Before Lee can stop you or talk you out of it – which he desperately tries – you stomp down the stairs. “ISAAC GARCIA!”
Damn, you didn´t know you could sound so scary.
Isaac hesitantly comes out of the living room and as he sees you he immediately runs a hand through his hair. He always does that when you´re around, but you never really paid much attention to it until today.
His face freezes as he sees you angrily making your way towards him. “Y/N, what´s up?”
This question finally breaks the camel´s back.
He knows exactly what´s up! Why is he acting so innocent?
Without even considering to greet him or to answer his question, you glare at him. “I hate you!”
He looks at you in shock, his coolness falling off him like a mask. You´ve never seen him this flabbergasted before. With a deep frown, he opens his mouth, about to say something, but you don´t plan to give him the opportunity for questions and excuses.
You turn around and storm out of the room.
“Y/N!” He rushes after you and before you can reach the stairs, he grabs your wrist and forces you to turn towards him. “What´s wrong? What did I do?”
“What you did?!” You break free from his grip and step back, away from him. “You told guys not to ask me to the ball! Can you even imagine how that made me feel? What the hell is wrong with you?”
You try not to shout but the pent-up-anger makes that impossible. If his cousins are home, they definitely heard that. You also wouldn't be surprised if Jackie came downstairs to check on you. Luckily, in that moment you couldn´t care less.
Isaac clearly looks caught. He rises his hands in a defensive gesture. “Okay, you can hate me but please let me explain.”
Does he really think there was a good explanation for this messed up stuff he did? You never thought he could be so manipulative.
“I already know the reason! You´re an idiot!”
“Yes…” He avoids looking at you and stares at the floor instead. “But there´s also another reason.” Again, he runs a hand through his hair and you are surprised to see his fingers trembling. “I told the boys not to ask you, because… I wanted to ask you.”
You feel like you´ve just been hit by a train. Before you realize it, an incredulous laugh escapes your lips.
What did he just say?
You wait for him to laugh too and say it was just a joke – a mean one, but after what Lee just told you, exactly the type of joke you´d expect from him – but instead he lowers his gaze to the ground, clearly hurt by your reaction.
You freeze in your spot, anger slowly turning into confusion. “Why didn´t you just ask me then?”
Your voice sounds much softer now, almost like a whisper, but Isaac still can´t look at you.
“I wanted to but… I got nervous and…” He sighs deeply as he runs out of words to say. “I heard Steve say that he wanted to ask you and I panicked so… I told him not to do it.”
“You´re such an idiot” You barely realize the words that escape your lips.
It just doesn´t make sense! Isaac is not someone who gets nervous or jealous – at least that´s what you always thought. He is way too cool for that – or is that just him pretending?
“Yeah, because I´m in love with you.”
It takes you a few seconds to realize what he just said.
Isaac Garcia confessing his feelings for you had been your dream for almost a year now. A few weeks ago you would have been floating on clouds, but now you don't know what to answer.
Isaac steps closer, looking at you desperately. "I know I messed up but I'm really really sorry. If you want, I can talk to the boys again and tell them the truth."
"You're in love with me?" You repeat his words, still not being able to believe it.
He looks taken aback, clearly not expecting this to be your focus. "Yes, I am."
Slowly you step closer and grab his hand. "Ever since the teachers announced the ball, I was hoping you'd ask me to go with you."
His eyes widen in surprise. "Really?"
Another laugh escapes your mouth. Was he really that oblivious? "Yes! To be honest, I was pretty sure you knew about my crush on you."
"You have a crush on me?" He can't help it, his face lights up like a Christmas tree.
"Wasn't that obvious?"
"No! Damn, if I knew, I would have asked you to be my date for the ball on the very first day."
"You can ask me now." You lift your chin and look at him with a playful smile.
He clears his throat, trying to be formal and keep a straight face. "Y/N L/N, do you want to be my date for the ball?"
"I'd love to."
A huge smile on his face, he steps closer, placing his hands on your hips as he pulls you in for a kiss.
You've been waiting for this moment for so long, you can't wait to feel his lips against yours. And when your lips finally meet, it feels like a fairy tale come true.
His kiss is soft but passionate, sending a pleasant tingling sensation through your body.
His grip gets more firm, almost as if he is afraid you'd change your mind and back away.
To reassure him, you wrap your arms around him, one of your hands softly stroking his hair.
Time stands still. You don't know for sure how long the kiss lasts, but finally you let go of him slowly and look at him, shaking your head with a smile. "I love you, Isaac Garcia, but you're still an idiot!"
"I'm your idiot"

losing streak
Carter winced as she set her backpack down in her hotel room, she gingerly slipped off her black blazer, slipped off her black loafers and sat on the bed bringing her hands to face and burying her face in her hands groaning as her whole body is throbbing from the hit she got from tonight’s game.
She heard her phone ringing and would usually ignore but she knew she put it on do not disturb and only a few people can notify her through that, she pulled out her phone from her beige trouser pockets and saw the silly photo of her and Jack smiling together on their boat pop up on her phone ringing for a FaceTime, She clicked answer seeing Jacks tired face illuminated by his phone glow in his dark bedroom.
“Hey birdy.” Jack grinned his charming grin hiding the concern he felt from seeing her being badly hit tonight.
“Hey jacky.” Carter mumbled not even being able to mustered up another fake smile, she fiddled with her locket necklace, a gift from her brothers.
“Hey Ree you alright.” Jack face showed all the concern he felt for his sister.
Carter cleared her throat, “Fine.”
“Carter you don’t have to be fine.” Jack frowned knowing what it was like having a tough time in his rookie year.
“It’s just, us losing the last five games all the media has been blaming it on me.” Carter knows she has been playing okay the last few days but sometimes it’s hard to play as good as you can when your team is not playing the best, and she’s not blaming her team but she hasn’t been playing bad either.
Jack slowly nodded knowing a lot of media will always try to find someone to blame and the rookies are usually the ones that’s are blamed, “Hey that is not your fault, Okay. You’ve been playing well birdy i wouldn’t lie to you.” Jack knew how easy it is to listen to the media, especially when your down.
Carter slowly nodded feeling a bit better because of her big brother, and she knew out of everyone Jack would give her the honest answer.
“Now how is your shoulder.” Jack gave her a stern look seeing how hard she was shoved into the boards today and he watched her be bent over on the ice for a good minute and be led down the tunnel before not playing the rest of the third period.
“It’s not injured just gonna be really sore and some bruising.” Carter told him, remembering how scared she was when she got knocked down and felt all the pain, she didn’t want it to be a bad injury especially in her rookie year of the NHL and it was a relief to know it’s just gonna be a bad bruise.
“Good.” Jack nodded, “Now go take a warm shower and take some motrin and get a good night sleep okay.” Jack instructed his little sister playing his role of protective big brother.
Especially since he knew Carter and Quinn didn’t have a shared room tonight and Quinn texted saying Carter was the first to leave the team bus heading right up to hee hotel room.
“I will.” Carter promised, “And Jack thank you.” She didn’t realize how much she needed someone to tell her it wasn’t her fault, but more so some not on her own team.
“Always.” Jack smiled, “And Birdy go kick some ass tomorrow yeah.” Jack smirked to his little sister who gave him a small smirk and a determined nod.
And Carter did. The next night the Carter scored two goals against the Montreal Canadians, making the Canucks end their losing streak winning 2-0. Two days after they played the Senators winning 6-2, Carter got a hat trick in the game and sent a puck from one of her goals to Jack.

𝚂𝚑𝚊𝚞𝚗𝚊 𝚂𝚑𝚒𝚙𝚖𝚎𝚗 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚌𝚊𝚗𝚘𝚗𝚜 ('𝟿𝟼)
𝙶𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚕 𝚂𝚑𝚊𝚞𝚗𝚊 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚌𝚊𝚗𝚘𝚗𝚜
♡ Shauna is a Libra Sun and Aries Rising
♡ Shauna’s favorite color is blue. When Shauna was in elementary school with Jackie, Jackie bought her a best friend necklace with a blue and pink heart. Jackie bought it for her to pick but really wanted the pink one, and Shauna always picked the blue one. Blue has always been her color ever since.
♡ Shauna is a Dog person. Shauna gives off she is a Big Dog mom vibes. Shauna is distant with her emotions but very close with dogs. She just has a special connection to them. She always points out a dog in public (never approaching the owner just to say hi) and cries every time a dog dies in a movie. But at the same time, Shauna doesn't seem to be a person who would want an pet but she just likes the look of them.
Shauna's spirit animal is the Rabbit.
♡ Shauna is a stone-cold introvert. She doesn’t like meeting new people, she doesn’t like talking to people she is not prepared to speak to, and she doesn’t like trying new things. Shauna never complains about it or doesn’t do things if they are out of her comfort zone if you want. She would go to dances and dates in public, but she was shy.
♡ Shauna’s favorite food is a little basic, but she doesn’t give a fuck. She fucking loves a good burger and some fries. She doesn’t care if an egg is on top, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, lattice, whatever.
♡ Shauna's childhood could have been more stable, to be honest. Shauna’s mom and Dad divorced after her mom gave birth to her youngest brother, Ian. Shauna is the oldest Daughter of two younger brothers, and her mom is constantly working at her job at the hospital to keep them all afloat. Shauna’s dad wasn’t perfect, and she always knew he wasn’t a good dad; he was an alcoholic and couldn't get his life together. When Shauna was 13, her dad remarried, started a new family, and stopped seeing them all. Shauna was always fed and had clothes on her back, but she has always been responsible for her brothers and the house when her mom was at work. All her life, she has played second mom, and she isn’t even mad at her mom because she can’t help that she needs to pay bills, but it is her dad’s fault for all of it. That is why Shauna was so taken in by Jackie, and somewhat why she was envious of who Jackie was, because she had a perfect life, and she was perfect. Shauna never even had a chance to be perfect in her eyes.
♡ Shauna’s sex drive is pretty high, wanting sex every other day. She wants to just hold you and touch your skin almost always. She is a soft Top!
♡ Shauna’s biggest vice is Drinking at a party. Shauna is from a family that I feel has some addiction problems because she is usually quiet about Natalie’s drug use and defends her without being close to her at that party. I think Shauna has an issue with finishing every drink she is given. She has to see the bottom of the cup, but when she is not partying, or it’s in the settling to drink, Shauna never drinks.
♡ ⚠️Unpopular opinion⚠️ Shauna really doesn’t like confrontation all that much. When Shauna fights someone, it feels like she is in a corner. Shauna isn’t always the friendliest, but she doesn’t like fighting people, especially with you. Shauna would be so sweet to you, and only you, like she will never put up a fight unless it is really needed.
𝙳𝚒𝚏𝚏𝚎𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝙰𝚄s/𝚄𝚗𝚒𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚎s
♡ Royalty AU! Shauna would be your guard because, of course, you would be the princess of the Royalty AU! Shauna is just someone who doesn’t seem like they would be the most crucial player in a royal court or even really fit in, so I see her as an outsider who is welcomed there like a guard or food taster.
♡ Delinquent AU! Streetracer, Shauna has a lot of built-up rage inside her, and she is just an adrenaline junkie. The minute she got her license, she always started to speed, and it started by going a few miles over until it was her going 120 mph down the highway. She doesn’t care. She might even steal parts to make her own racecar like “Fast in the Furious.”
♡ Supernatural AU! Vampire. She likes the taste of blood in YJ Canon. She licks the blood on her fingers when she cuts the meat in the show.
♡ Superhero AU! Black Widow because they are emotionally distant and checked out to live in their environment. Like Black Widow is stupid intelligent, hot, and strong, just like Shauna.
♡ College AU! English Major with a Minor in Sex and Gender Studies. Shauna is very quiet and shy. She would be so scared to talk to the professor after class about an assignment. She doesn’t join clubs until the sophomore year of her college career, and she doesn’t go to parties much.
𝙿𝚛𝚎-𝙲𝚛𝚊𝚜𝚑 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚌𝚊𝚗𝚘𝚗𝚜
♡ Shauna is the one in middle school to be the first to introduce that she likes you romantically, and you did the same. I feel like Shauna needs a little reassurance regarding romance because she doesn’t believe anyone would love her for her.
♡ Shauna really likes to read and write a lot. She likes to have sleepovers with you to share the poems she found that made her think of you, she will read you the ones she wrote about you, and she likes to spend time together quietly. She likes to do the ADHD parallel quality time thing when you two do your own things.
♡ Dates with Shauna consisted of going to parks and walking around with your hands holding. She likes to go outdoors and have fresh air while spending time with you alone. She likes the privacy of being together on a walk. No one else really listens to what you are saying.
♡ Shauna is the more Avoidant partner. Shauna would avoid you when you start dating so she doesn’t disappoint you. When you confront her about that, she corrects her avoidant tendencies. Shauna needs her alone time, and she gives you your own alone time. She likes that you two are comfortable enough to give space, unlike her relationship with Jackie.
𝚆𝚒𝚕𝚍𝚎𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚌𝚊𝚗𝚘𝚗𝚜
♡ You and Shauna are in a Trio friendship with Jackie. And instead of Jeff, Shauna and you have lied to her for months about your relationship. Like Jackie BBQ canon, it always happens, but it wouldn’t be because Shauna is pregnant because she is in a WLW relationship.
♡ Shauna always gives you the first cut of meat because she loves you. She gives you a piece with extra fat and lets you have her more gristle pieces of meat if you like them.
♡ Shauna is very pointed and gives an attitude about your sleeping bag being away from hers, like Jackie. I imagine that scene when Shauna goes to the attic with Taissa against Jackie’s wishes. I feel like they are like that to each other. Shauna wants you to sit next to her, to be by her when she is sleeping, and she doesn’t like the idea that you are away from the cabin without her with you. Becomes very protective.
♡ Shauna becomes slightly more relaxed about sex but is still the same high sex drive girl she was before the crash. She really loves you, and she just wants to spend time together. She is a lot more into kissing you, and she is more into making love than just straight-up fucking.

The Case of the Missing Coat - DoctorRose Bingo
Prompt: "Take My Jacket"
“I’m heading back to the flat. Joining me?” Rose asked. He could hear her voice grow closer as she spoke. Moving his chin toward his chest to take a peek, he could see her sneaker-clad feet standing close to his outstretched legs from where he worked under the console.
“Mm, no. The old girl’s still showing-”
“Yes, yes, save the technical talk. I know an excuse when I hear one,” she said, backing away from him and the console with an exaggerated sigh. “I’ll see ya in a bit, then. Unless you decide to grace Mum and me with your presence earlier than that.”
“I’ll be by at some point. Someone’s gotta pry you from Jackie’s grip or we’d never leave twenty-first London again,” he replied, listening as she moved toward the door. “Take a jacket,” he muttered, remembering the snow drizzling outside—real, honest snow for once.
“Now you sound like Mum,” she taunted. Stilling the sound of her steps for a second to presumably, hopefully, pick up one of her coats or sweaters she’d left tossed over a coral at one point or another recently.
“You doing it?” he asked, cringing as he realized he was only further feeding the comparison. But he really didn’t want her to catch a cold.
“Yes, snug as could be now,” she answered. “Bye.” And with a squeak of the door hinges she was gone.
He resumed his tinkering and tried to get lost in the activity. But it wasn’t too long after that that he found his right leg start to shift about in impatience. He was becoming bored, painfully so. But it was more than that. There was a stillness in the Tardis without the soft sounds that come with having another person around. The comfort that was the faint smell of Rose’s perfume as she passed by him on her way to make tea or model a new outfit she’d discovered in the wardrobe was missing. He was itching to get up and head straight to the flat. He’d put up with any nagging or questions from Jackie just to keep close to Rose.
He really should try to fight it. Create a little distance between them. He was a proper addict. A Rose Tyler addict. He never knew what to do with himself if she wasn’t with him. It had been getting bad before the regeneration, but now it was on a whole new level. Which wasn’t exactly surprising— he’d regenerated to save her and had been reformed with her as the first thing on his mind.
Sighing, he slid out from his spot and stood up. Although he should be resisting, working to build up a tolerance to his inability to be without the presence of Rose for more than a few minutes, he wasn’t about to start that daunting journey today. Plus Jackie was probably making tea.
He was almost out the door when the cold air hit him, making him remember his worrying over Rose. Turning to the side, he grabbed for his coat but found himself palming an empty coral. He always kept it right there by the door. He turned back towards the rest of the console room, still not seeing it.
He tried to remember the last time he had had it on. They hadn’t left the Tardis much in the last few days. It hadn’t been long since Mickey had chosen to stay in that parallel world and Rose had found that she needed a bit of downtime to process that. They’d been back in London quite often recently, mostly because of that. Rose had felt even more guilty about telling Jackie about Mickey. She’d leaned on Mickey the last year more than Rose herself ever had.
He’d tried his best to make her understand that it was Mickey who had decided to stay. But Rose still blamed herself for making him feel like there was nothing left for him here. That he’d be better off in a whole other universe than stay in the same one with her in it.
The Doctor felt just as responsible on that front. Although he didn’t believe that Rose was responsible for Mickey or owed it to him to hang around London, he knew that he’d somewhat taken Mickey’s place in Rose’s life. Not that he could find it anywhere in himself to regret doing so.
Coming back to the matter at hand, he thought back through their recent trips. The last place they had been was a beach. Not exactly a coat-wearing day.
He found himself wandering through the rooms he visited on a frequent basis: the kitchen, galley, the library, his room, and Rose’s. He peeked into the wardrobe room and couldn’t spot it on any of the levels. Ultimately, he wrapped himself in his long-forgotten favorite— that chunky, colorful scarf he once wouldn’t have been caught dead without. Now he hated to be seen in it. He might have still been the same man, but fashion sense varied drastically throughout regenerations.
Making his way back through the Tardis and back to the door, he made quick work of locking the door and shuffling quickly to Rose’s building. Once inside the main doors, he was ready for that nice hot cup of tea more than ever.
When he arrived at the flat, he made quick work of rapping on the wooden door. He was close to peeking in the cat door when the door finally opened. Then he was face to face with Jackie.
“Accessorizing for once in your life, I see,” she snorted, stepping aside to let him come in.
“Have a laugh. I wouldn’t be wearing this if my coat, a gift from the Janis Joplin hadn’t mysteriously disappeared,” he huffed. “Please tell me you’ve made tea?”
“Fresh pot in the kitchen,” she answered, a smirk on her lips as she watched him shiver. “Didn’t have a single other coat in that big box of yours?”
“None that go with this outfit,” he deadpanned.
“You really shouldn’t be running around like that, as skinny as you are. You’ll get sick,” he heard her continue as he made his way through the doorway.
He just hadn’t wanted to take any more time to find one for the short trek. He missed Rose. Who he hoped was in the kitchen he was heading toward to pour himself a cuppa.
He found that she was. And so was his missing coat. Rose was sitting in front of the table, nursing a cup of her own and typing on her mobile. “Mum, Shareen might run over a mo to show me her-” she stopped as she realized she wasn’t talking to Jackie. She gave him a smile, tugging his coat closer around her as she did so, unconsciously. She looked so cozy buried in his coat. In one of his favorite articles of clothing.
“Sooner than I expected you to give in,” she smirked, leaning back in her chair. Lost without me.”
“You're in my coat,” he found himself stupidly stating.
“Yes, I am,” she grinned. Then she looked him over. He was glad he’d abandoned the scarf on the hook by the door. “You look cold.”
“Well, someone did steal my coat,” he pointed out.
“I did not! You told me to take it! You went on and on. ‘Take my jacket, Rose. It’s so cold out there.’ ” she mimicked.
“I told you to take a jacket, not my jacket. And that-that,” he pointed toward her, “Is not a jacket. That is a coat!”
“Same thing,” she shrugged as he shook his head fondly. “So do you want it back? Because I’m rather comfy to tell you the truth. Like getting a never-ending hug from you,” she said, huddling deeper into the coat, all while giving him a cheeky grin that made him swallow. She knew how to play him. How to do him in.
“You don’t play fair,” he said, pointing again as Jackie made her way back into the room.
“She never has,” she murmured, smiling to herself as she poured the Doctor a cup of the tea he’d forgotten about the second he’d laid eyes on Rose. She seemed to always lead to him losing track of his mind.
With his new cup of tea, he sat down next to Rose, watching her as she spoke about Shareen and Keisha and then stories from their recent adventures. He watched her walk around the flat in his coat and then watched her drag the back of it through the snow when they eventually made their way back to the Tardis— him shivering in his silly scarf and her toasty in his big brown coat.
And if he leaned into her just a little more than strictly necessary on the walk back, wrapping an arm around her waist and shoving a hand into one of the pockets, then that was simply to try and stay warm as well.

That70sShow au with Eddie & y/n = Jackie & Hyde... I thought about it a lot! The episode with 4th of July party, where Hyde punches a guy for being mean to Jackie, and Kitty makes him realize he likes her so they go for a date (just maybe with date going well this time). OR for the Donna/Hyde... the ski cabin episode when he kisses her "just look at you" (my favorite line)...
i got a bit too excited over this one and maybe tried to add a bit too much but fuck it. thank you so much for this request!! I also got another request for the date scene so I might write a part 2 tomorrow or something) :))
warnings: cursing, drinking, Eddie being a bit of a dick but mostly towards someone who's an even bigger dick. enemies to lovers?? female!henderson!reader

No one was more surprised to see Eddie Munson attend the school bake sale than you… except for maybe Eddie himself. Especially since he wasn’t really sure why he was there, to begin with. He didn’t exactly have any money to spend on muffins and traybakes. And even if he did, why the hell would he spend it on high school? The place is filled with people who despise him and have no problem showing that hatred off every single day.
‘I hope you didn’t bring any of your special brownies, Munson,’ you threatened as you walked past him. Eddie had been standing in the corridor, being his usual degenerate self.
‘You wish. Those would have at least been worth something,’ he quipped. ‘But no, because of your little bake sale, everyone I know is here, so I have nowhere else to be.’
‘Well, don’t just stand there then,’ you hand him a Tupperware box full of chocolate chip cookies, ‘make yourself a bit useful.’
‘I don’t think anyone’s going to want to buy anything from me… here, at least.’ He couldn’t help but laugh.
‘I don’t care. Go stand at the table and pretend to have aa purpose.’
‘Always the little charmer, aren’t you, Henderson.’ He didn’t understand how Dustin could be such a cool little nerd with a sister like you. Always on his case, no matter what. But he didn’t feel like arguing, so he took the damn box of cookies and walked over to an empty table. What the hell was he doing…
Eddie sat down on the chair and leaned back. There was no way any of these suburban moms were going anywhere near him. Instead, they avoided him like a carb-full meal. He could very well see the glares he was getting from across the room, but he didn’t care.
‘Damn, Munson, did she get to you too?’ a chuckle neared him. Jack walked up to him. Eddie had seen him sit at another table, chatting to some possible customers over slices of pie. He didn’t know much about the guy besides that he was the captain of the school’s Mathlete team and always in everyone’s business. The biggest grin spread from side to side of his face, no matter who he spoke to. It should make Eddie fill included, but it only made him uneasy. No one should be smiling this much.
‘Uhm. I guess.’ Eddie really wasn’t up to making conversation with anyone who didn’t want to take those cookies from him, but Jack didn’t seem to be eager either.
‘Yeah, she can get pretty bossy sometimes, that one.’ He found you in the crowd, and when you caught his eye, he waved with an even bigger grin… if that was even possible. ‘And she talks. A lot.’
‘Yeah.’ Eddie chuckled to himself a bit.
‘It’s not the exactly a turn-on, I’ll be honest.’
No one asked you to be, Eddie thought. ‘Aren’t you two going out?’ That’s right, Dustin had spent most of last week’s Hellfire session nagging on about how he could get no peace in his own house ever since his sister brought over her new boyfriend. And Eddie had seen them around school as well.
‘Yeah, but you know how it is, nothing serious. We’re just fooling around.’
‘Right. Right,’ all Eddie could think about is if you actually were of this. To him, it seemed like you were pretty into this guy… for whatever reason that might be. ‘But why, if she’s so annoying to you?’ He was barely conscious of the conversation he was having, already zoning out a bit. One thing was for sure, though, Eddie needed to get out of there. He was already getting up, waiting to use his excuse. No one would care if he left, besides you, maybe.
‘It’s worth the hassle if I can get some.’
‘What?’ Eddie, already with the exit door in his vision, turned around. Jack seemed surprisingly happy with his little comment.
‘C’mon,’ he laughed, patting Eddie on the shoulder as if they really shared something in common here. ‘Why else would I go out with her?’
‘Oh, I really wish you hadn’t said that.’ He didn’t know why he cared so much. You two weren’t friends, but you were the sister of one of his best friends. He couldn’t let some asshole get away with talking like that about you. Or you use like that.
‘Wha–’ Jack didn’t even get the chance to ask his question before Eddie’s fist met his cheek. Jack folded over, hand up to his cheek, already showing a red tint. People naturally looked over at the boy's yelp that came out at the moment of contact, and a crowd gathered.
‘Eddie!’ you ran over and got down on your knees to look at Jack’s face. ‘What the hell.’
‘He deserved it,’ was all he said. ‘Believe me.’ and with that, he walked away. He knew he would be told to go in a moment anyway. Fights weren’t exactly encourages, were they?
↯
The next day at school, all eyes were on Eddie, of course. The news of him beating up Jack spread out like wildfire, and it didn’t help that the guy showed up with a black eye either.
‘I didn’t think I had hit him that hard.’ Eddie said during lunch.
‘Why did you hit him, exactly?’ Dustin asked, plastic fork twirling around in his hand.
‘Because he’s an asshole, Henderson. And you should tell your sister that.’ To Eddie’s surprise, you had not left the jerk’s side all day. He could see you sitting across the cafeteria, looking at him in pity. Apparently, the giant bruise only added to his already questionable appeal.
‘My sister?’ Dustin raised his eyebrow and looked over at you. ‘What’s she got to do with it?’
‘Nothing. Nevermind.’ Eddie, tired of the subject, shut his lunchbox and got up. ‘I’ll see you guys later.’
↯
Eddie had never taken any particular interest in you previously. In fact, he really only saw you as Dustin’s annoying older sister. Any time he saw you, you were diving deep into a book, telling him to shut up because she was studying or scolding him for being a bad influence on Dustin, which was a fair accusation.
But, as the weeks went on, he found himself wanting to talk more and more to you. Every time you picked your brother up from Hellfire, he tried to say something, even if the second a conversation started, the two of you were already getting annoyed with each other.
‘Do you listen to anything else besides this trashcan bashing?’ You commented on the music that Eddie had playing in the background.
‘You wouldn’t know good music if it hit you in the face.’
‘That seems to be a recurring theme around you, Munson.’ You crossed your arms. Luckily, Jack’s face had healed up quickly, but he was still avoiding Eddie, walking circles around him, scared as if he would jump on him again. But Eddie was avoiding Jack just as much. ‘I still don’t understand why you did that, by the way.’
‘Yeah, well, I suppose it will remain one of the universe's great mysteries.’ Right there with ‘why the hell would still be going out with that jackass?’.
‘Whatever,’ you roll your eyes and drag Dustin out of the room to take him home.
‘Why did you hit him?’
‘Ask me that one more time, and you’re next, Wheeler,’ Eddie warned.
↯
A perk, or perhaps a massive disadvantage, of being newly acquainted with the one and only Steve Harrington is also being invited to all of his house parties.
Sure, Eddie didn’t have to go, but all his insecurities came out when he missed out on things. It was a nasty compulsion. But that is how he found himself in the corner drinking out of a red solo cup.
‘Hey guys!’ you said as you walked into the full living room, hand-in-hand with Jack.
‘Why did you invite him?’ Eddie leaned over to Steve, jugging the last bit of his drink.
‘I didn’t. I assume he just tagged along with her.’ Steve explained, ‘what’s your deal with him, seriously? You’ve been acting crazy– crazier than usual, at least– ever since that bake sale.’
‘He’s a massive dickhead, that’s all.’
‘Or is it possible that you’re just jealous?’ Steve smirked over the edge of his own cup.
‘You’re making it harder and harder to defend your intelligence, Harrington,’ Eddie muttered. Steve was ready to continue on that subject but realised that would have been exactly what Eddie wanted.
‘I’m on your side, man. But in my experience, you shouldn’t go for a girl that’s taken. Shit gets messy after a while.’
‘There is no side. I don’t even like her… I just… I think she deserves a guy that’s–’
‘You?’ Steve cut him off, smirking, getting a nasty glare from Eddie.
‘–A guy that’s not just trying to use her for sex.’
‘Oh shit, wait, what?’ Steve looked around. The room was too crowded and rowdy for anyone to hear their conversation, probably. You were outside, in the garden, laughing with your friends. Jack was nowhere to be seen.
‘Yeah, but it’s been two months, and they’re still together, so what do I know.’ Eddie grabbed Steve’s cup and chugged the content before any protest could be made.
↯
‘What do you even see in him?’ Eddie asked you. It was late, there had been more than plenty to drink, and the party was almost over. You were sitting on the edge of the pool, looking across to where the last large group of party-goers had congregated. Jack was one of them, telling some joke that everyone laughed at. ‘And don’t tell me “he’s funny”.’ He was ready to puke.
‘He’s nice. And smart.’ you said, kicking your legs back and forth.
‘Mr Mathlete.’ Eddie huffed out. ‘He thinks he’s way cooler than he is. Just sayin.’
‘Because you’re so cool?’ You laughed.
‘No. But as a certified outcast and loser, I can spot other and bigger losers from miles away. And that-’ he pointed directly at him, ‘is the biggest one of all.’
‘You’re such a dick.’ That had been enough for you, and without another word, you got up, leaving Eddie alone for the rest of the night.
↯
‘You’re not gonna get anywhere if you just keep insulting her boyfriend.’ Steve said the morning after. Eddie had stayed over after having a bit too much drink and was trying to shut out any words said to him. Steve was known to be even louder when hungover, somehow, and was a horrible nuisance to be around when sporting a giant headache.
‘I’m not trying to do shit,’ Eddie spat out, pillow only seconds away from suffocating him as he blocked the morning sun out of his face.
‘Dude, you clearly like her.’ Steve raised his voice, in volume and pitch, nearly making Eddie’s ears bleed.
‘I don’t, and please, for the love of anything sacred to you, shut the fuck up.’ He rolled onto his side on the couch. ‘And get me an aspirin.’
↯
School felt like hell. You seemed to be everywhere Eddie looked. Following him around like a ghost. Or perhaps he was the one following you? It was definitely not his intention. It made it worse that you turned out to be assigned lab partners in Chemistry.
‘Hey, I’m sorry about the shit I said at the party.’ These were the first words to come out of his mouth when he got the chance to talk to you. The class was pretty quiet, so you whispered back a sternly:
‘I don’t care, Munson.’
‘I just–’
‘I. Don’t. Care.’ You glare over at him. Eddie decided it was best to drop the topic for now.
↯
Another Friday, another Hellfire session.
It went pretty much like any other week and lasted much too short. Before the party noticed, it was time to clean up again.
Everyone had left, one by one, leaving Eddie to pack up his DM things. He had just finished up when there was a knock on the door, and you walked in, clearly surprised to see only him in the room.
‘Where is he?’ you referred to your brother, naturally.
‘He said he was leaving with Lucas, I think.’
‘Little shithead.’ You mumbled under your breath.
‘Wow, there, pottymouth.’ Eddie smiled, but you didn’t seem to be so amused, understandably, as you just drove through half the town to pick up your little brother, who had just decided to leave with someone else. Because why would he call to tell you? What a waste of a Friday evening.
Eddie grabbed his backpack and headed in your direction of the door. Switching the light in the room off, he let you walk out first. The school was practically deserted except for a rogue cleaning lady somewhere four corridors down, listening to the radio so loudly you could still hear every beat of the song that was playing.
‘How’s Mr Mathlete doing?’ Eddie asked out of lack of other conversation topics as you made your way out of the school.
‘You can be a real jerk sometimes; you know that?’ was your direct response.
‘Would it make me a bigger jerk if I said that I do?’ Eddie didn’t mean to laugh, which probably didn’t help his case. ‘But I’m not sure what I did this time?’
‘Why are you so hung up on who I date? It’s like everything I do is just a massive annoyance to you.’ You spoke out your frustrations, and each word broke Eddie’s a little. He had definitely acted badly over the past few weeks but hadn’t even realised how bad it was.
‘That’s not what I–’
‘So what is it? Why do you have such a problem with me?’ You stopped a foot away from the door, crossing your arms. Between him and the door, Eddie had no choice but to stop too.
‘I don’t have a problem with you.’ Not anymore, at least. Not that he would ever admit it, but he realised, ridiculously slowly, that Harrington might have been right. ‘Who I do have a problem with is that asshole of a boyfriend of yours.’
‘Why?’ You looked him directly in the eyes, which made him speak up a bit more difficult.
‘Because,’ he looked around for a moment. ‘Because you’re a really great girl and I look at you and just…’ he stopped for a second, taking you in as you stood in front of him; everything he wanted to say left his mind. ‘I mean, look at you.’ And before he could pull himself back, he cupped your face in his hands, pulled you in, and pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was brief and messy, and when he pulled away again, a million different emotions went through Eddie’s body. ‘I– I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have–’
‘Jack broke up with me.’ You blurted out.
‘What?’ Eddie blinked slowly, confused at the progression of events.
‘At Steve’s party. He broke up with me so… so he didn’t feel bad for making out with Pam.’ You looked away from Eddie. Admitting what happened at that party was embarrassing enough.
‘Shit, I’m sorry.’
‘Guess you were right, then, huh?’ You tried to smile.
‘Doesn’t feel good.’
‘Good.’ You lightly punched him in the arm, ‘because you’re still a jerk, Munson.’
to be continued...? (a promise will jinx it)

VALPOGOSSIP TEACAP: JULY 2024
You lot sure have be busy the last month. If I was of lesser mind or simply someone with something better to do, I would have resigned myself to my silence and let you all carry on. But business pays. And unfortunately for you, it's yours that pays me, and you're all not going to believe this.
July saw the epic failure of the anticipated winter festival ! A freak snowstorm left all of our beloved residents forced to face their biggest fear: talking to people they don't know ! Before we get into the general tea, let's recap what happened at the winterfest shall we ?
Putting any so called foodie to shame, Javi Domginuez-Herrera, Jackie Grimaldi, and Tobias Northcott risk carbon monoxide poisoning to get their snack on. While poison might not have been in the food, that didn't mean something wasn't as they began having hallucinations of the truck being similar to the wardrobe to narnia. Thinking if they left they wouldn't be in kansas anymore, wrong movie? Oh well. They're all still here, anyway.
In a much sweeter turn of a event, Noah Fontaine, Leia Munoz-Silva, Rachel Kang, and Seba Dominguez-Herrera huddled closely together for warmth. They spent time discussing the age old philosophical debate: is it a sneed or a snood. Also mentions of wondering if befriending a mountain lion would go faster if they used weed or if they used catnip. Yeah, I'm not sure how anyone made it out alive either. Though I don't think we should tell Astrid Blackwell about the cuddling though. Something about a rule being broken.
Lucky for Rania Chadha, Luna Dominguez-Herrera, Salem West, and Reyna Artiaga they were tucked away extra safely: locked backstage. Don't know if they ever solved the mystery of who locked them inside, but they had bigger things to worry about inside! Like Salem getting her something on her feet after getting her ice skates of, Luna's boyfriend freezing to death, and Reyna's unconventional hobby of picking locks? They all moved past that last one a bit too fast for my liking.
Moving on too quickly, let's talk about Felix Kang, Charlie Hastings, and Sade Akerele. For a trio locked in a game booth, they had no interest in the games around and instead, like your baby cousin who breathes a little too hard and always has a snack in their hand, opted to play games on their phone. Sade and Felix tried to convince the group chat of Felix's disappearance and Charlie tried to convince God that it was simply his time to go.
Back to ' how did any of these people make it out alive' we turn to Arlo Hwang, Wylie Henderson, and Rafael Cisneros in the ice skating rink booth. They skipped right over the small talk, and went straight to the worst case scenarios. Cannibalism was discussed and Rafa had the idea to make a fire inside using the ice skates around.
In the Igloo with Nevaeh Thompson, Quinn Hawley, and Giovanni Vallato the only thing bright in there was Nevaeh's lighter. Quinn was overly confident in her abilities to claw it out like she did in ireland (which could mean anything). Vanni wasted his signal, battery, and time on tiktok but made sure to share his empanadas, cold as they were. And Nevaeh had a lighter.
Something about being trapped in the dark in a Parade Float made Delilah Jane Harrison, Abril Valdivia, and Spencer Westin want to share their deepest darkest secrets. I guess they thought they'd stay secret but here they are: Delilah Jane forged her cosmetology license, Specer stole their dad's grammy and sold it and making him believe it was a robbery, and Abril has been spending more and more time with a certain pop star ! (She didn't say that, but I think if she was honest with herself she might've)
Saffron Barton and Poet Hawley were locked inside a security guard car that Poet was determined to get hotwired with the help of the blade she keeps on her, interesting fun fact. Despite Saffron's disbelief, Poet got it going ! Not far though. They just went around in circles until security got them to stop. Wonder if Poet and Saffron saw the voucher promised to everyone.
It's a good thing that Leon Amos, Yazmin Taylor, and Rohan Kaur were in The Washroom, the tissues surrounding them were a must need. Everyone was at each other's throats, there was a lot of sharing between strangers about babies and lifelines and Rohan unsettled by the display of emotional vulnerability. Unfortunately for us, there was no punch thrown but they did all make up and shared their deepest philosophies on life.
Trapped on the Tilt-A-Whirl, Astrid Blackwell, Zaid Hassan, Drew Crane, and Nikhil Hari went on a Dr. Seus like journey. They were out in the open and with Nikhil's generous offer of his body heat everyone decides they'd rather face the cold! They manage to get into a booth where Drew becomes the winner of the only Jolly rancher available, and they all freeze their hands off to text their loved ones.
NOW onto the general drama you don't want to miss:
Arlo and Reyna seem especially jittery and stuttery at the Inherited Escapes counter.
Charlie is running the risk of getting a restraining order if he keeps popping up at Secondhand Style without plans to purchase anything.
Delilah Jane and Rohan seemed to have finally gotten a good jog set for those circles they keep running around in.
Vanni and Yaz are expecting a baby after a few months of dating ! Congratulations ! We think?
Jackie and Spencer? I don't know what's going on over there, but I'm watching very closely.
Leon took the bold step to Salem's door and Salem took an even bigger step to show him the door. For how long? Only time will tell.
Nevaeh has run in to not only 1 but 2 of her exes? Omar and Seba, whichever one of you is praying for her downfall must have a direct line to god.
That's all I have for you today, but don't worry. We'll be back next month with even more delicious tea for you to catch up on. Let me know what you think, my inbox is always open.

THIS IS SO LONG I APOLOGIZE. been thinking of (actual) princess!jackie and knight!reader !!! except, your parents were killed at the hands of jackie’s father when you were younger and you swore to get revenge against the Taylor family.
They were holding a tournament to see who the strongest knight was, you thought this was the perfect opportunity to gain the attention of the royals. you end up winning and the King personally congratulates you. jackie happens to fall in love at first sight when you take off your helmet and begs her father to hire you as her personal knight.
Spending more time with her and her family, but you have to keep reminding yourself why you’re here. but of course, she’s Jackie Taylor and you gain feelings. You take her out at night sometimes to go lay by the lake and just talk. She always asks about your childhood but you brush it off, or make things up. Your first kiss was the day you took her to this flower field near the village you grew up in. You complimented her and told her that her beauty reminds you of flowers, and it took her at least 5 minutes to calm down before she kissed you.
Thinking how hard it would be when you realize you actually Love her. Your real beef was with her father, but you couldn’t handle how distraught she would be if she found out your plan. this is getting long again so let me get to the ending. i had 2 in mind: the King finding out ur intentions and killing you before you killed him, and in front of jackie too :/ OR going thru with ur original plan and killing the entire Taylor family. Jackie included. she’s so betrayed and keeps muttering “why?” over and over until she takes her last breath.
princess jackie ik thats righttttt. this ask reminds me of that butcher of gaul jackieshauna fic a bit actually 🤔. hello. my name is y/n. you have killed my father. prepare to die
jackie sees you run your sword through someone and falls in love at first meeting for sure. you take your helmet off and are covered in the blood of your opponent and it takes everything jackie has not to jump you right there.
you spend so much time protecting jackie because shes so clumsy all the time and you're like "how is this girl alive???" you're like "hey!" and jackie gets so overwhelmed she trips on the carpet and nearly falls down the stairs. oh no, you have to catch her in your arms. she's so obsessed, honestly. (she never seems to be clumsy in the slightest when you're not around)
jackie's just so kind and earnest that you can't help falling for her. princess jackie gives her allowance away to the poor and really cares about her people. she stops in the square to talk to them and seems to know a lot of them by name. she talks to every one of her servants and asks them about their families or how their new baby was doing. she's so very loving that it goes against everything you've ever heard about the king.
you've spent your entire life hating the royal family that you really don't know what to do when confronted with the fact that she's an actual person and you're having a harder and harder time trying to demonize her. the opposite is true for her father, he's just as awful as you heard and even to his own family.
thinking about jackie lying out by the lake while your in full armor standing guard and her just begging and begging you to come sit with her. finally you sneak her away in the middle of the night to do it because the king would have you killed if someone ran into you during the day. jackie's so honest as she talks about her childhood and stuff she loves that you try to be as honest as you can be without actually telling her anything.
your first kiss is so fucking soft and gentle. neither of you have ever had a chance to kiss someone before, her being the princess and you being too busy preparing for revenge. you pull away a bit from her after that, having a really hard time coming to terms with these two waring ideals. you love her so much, deeply and truly. you never thought you'd love anyone like that after your parents died. you've planned your entire revenge around dying after since you wouldn't have a purpose or anyone left to miss you. but now you do, and you aren't sure what to do anymore.
i think both of those endings are depressing as fuck (power to you though bro) so i'm gonna leave it here.

Not a rookie anymore
Ethan gets back from the Amazon. To be honest, I don’t really like Ethan, but I love the angst.
“Rookie.” Ethan nodded at Casey, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
Casey felt a deep rage start to simmer, but there were too many people around to let it show. She smiled, a tight-lipped smile that didn’t reach her eyes, without a hint of the warmth and radiance that used to emanate from her when she looked at the older doctor.
“Too late. As of one minute ago, I’m not a Rookie anymore.” She replied, calm and collected. There was no sign of the anger or the extreme anxiety she was feeling, except that one hand was clutching Sienna’s so tightly under the table that Sienna was beginning to wince.
“I’ll be expecting no more Rookie mistakes, then.” With one last nod, Ethan walked over to a table of attendings without a backwards glance.
Casey downed her drink and headed to the bar to grab another, ignoring Sienna and Elijah’s concerned glances. Aurora, Jackie, Bryce and Raf didn’t notice that anything was wrong, not having known that Casey slept with Ethan two nights before he departed for the Amazon without so much as a goodbye text. Casey had allowed herself to wallow for one day, spending it sobbing under copious amounts of blankets in the darkness of her bedroom, before getting up and piecing herself together. No man, not even Ethan Ramsey, was allowed to have that much power over her, Casey decided. So she’d decided to act completely normal, throwing herself into her work, and when she wasn’t working, hanging out with her roommates as much as possible; distracting herself was key, she’d realised. Day by day, the Ethan shaped hole in her heart seemed to shrink. Casey had always been just fine by herself, and an arrogant doctor who was hot and cold, all over her one day and freezing her out the next was not going to change that. Though the ache in her chest never fully subsided, Casey learned to live with it, and most of the time she was even happy, she really was. She knew, over time, she would be completely over Ethan Ramsey.
So, why was he back here, looking at her like no time had passed, like he didn’t just abandon her without a word, and why was Casey feeling those familiar butterflies that surfaced whenever she looked at him? Yes, Casey knew things between them were complicated, especially with her new position on the diagnostics team, but she thought that they were going to figure that out together. At the very least, Ethan had owed her a conversation before just disappearing.
She felt someone slide into the space next to her by the bar, and stiffened as she realised it was Ethan. He looked her up and down, his eyes widening slightly with desire as he took in her low waisted jeans and her snug, low-cut ballet wrap sweater. She wished he didn’t look so good. She wished she didn’t still want him, but it was hard not to, especially when he looked at her like that. She wished her body and her emotions could catch up with her brain.
“Hey.” He said, softly. “Can we talk?”
Casey laughed, a cold bitter sound ringing out into the bar.
“You want to talk now?”
“Yes.” Ethan said simply, ignoring her sarcasm.
He always said he was never one for playing games, which was interesting, because to Casey, their whole relationship seemed like a game of push and pull. He kissed her in Miami - he had made the move on her - and then pushed her away, saying it could never happen again. Then he kept inviting her out on little outings, giving her soft lingering touches, casual brushes of the hand that seemed accidental, but Casey knew better. They made out at the opera, and for Casey, that meant something. They had finally slept together when Ethan quit, and they’d realised there was nothing holding them back anymore, and then they slept together after the trial, though they both knew he would soon be her boss again. For Casey at least though, there wasn’t any going back after that. She couldn’t go back to being without Ethan Ramsey, even if it was difficult, even if they had to figure out exactly how things could work. Ethan clearly had felt differently, disappearing instantly to the Amazon.
“Look, Case-”
“Dr. Valentine.” Casey corrected harshly.
“Dr. Valentine.” Ethan corrected, a hint of frustration creeping into his tone, “You’re being childish now. You know I had to go, as a doctor-”
“Don’t fucking patronise me, Ethan.” Casey jabbed his chest with her pointer finger, practically shaking with rage, “I don’t care that you went. I’d have been happy for you, if you would’ve had the courtesy of letting me know. I thought we were figuring things out together. I had to find out from Harper, Ethan. Of all people.”
“Please.” Ethan pleaded, his voice breaking slightly. “I know I should’ve talked to you. I was- I was scared, to be honest.”
“Of what?”
“My feelings. I’ve always been unable to think rationally around you.”
“You’re a grown man. I’m sure you could’ve communicated that.” Casey snapped. “I thought I meant something. You said I meant something. You’ve never once acted like it. I guess I was just a star-struck intern you thought would be easy to get into bed with.”
Ethan looked at the floor, devastated and hurt. Casey did know that the last part wasn’t true, that that wasn’t who Ethan was. She wondered if she had gone too far. Selfishly though, she wanted to hurt Ethan, just like he had hurt her, and she knew saying that would do it. Before Ethan could reply, the bartender was asking Casey for her order. Angling her body away from Ethan, Casey ordered a round for her friends. As soon as the bartender pushed her drinks over, Casey picked them up and turned to walk away. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ethan raise a hand, as if to stop her, but he changed his mind and let it hang limply at his side. As Casey left, she made sure to put an extra swing in her step. She was done with him, she decided, but it didn’t mean he shouldn’t regret his actions.
The next morning, Casey woke up in an unfamiliar bed, a headache already creeping in. She looked over, frowning as she realised she’d gone home with a surgical resident. She felt mildly hungover, and still dissatisfied. The sex had been nothing compared with Ethan. Casey sighed. She grabbed her phone from the nightstand next to her and saw a single text from Ethan.
‘I’m sorry Casey. I missed you every single day. More than you can imagine.’
Casey brushed away a single tear that spilled down her cheek. She was fine on her own, she knew that. She just wished that for once, she didn’t have to be.

The Press Secretary Part 13
Summary: Chris the mayor of town is married to his wife Becca. When he hires a new press secretary who happens to be his lost love old feelings resurface and Chris finds it hard to resist the desire he once had for her
Parings: ChrisxMC
Chris looks out his office windows and sees all the reporters outside he grinds his teeth “This is so fucking stupid” He closes the shades
Jackie places a hand on his shoulder “You ok?”
“I’ll be fine”
“I can’t believe your wife”
Chris shoots her a look “Don’t ever call her that again”
“Sorry I can’t believe Becca would do all this”
“I can she’s a spiteful bitch she’s the main reason of our problems I know I shouldn’t have slept with Emily while I was married to her but we could have handled this quietly not bring all this drama but Becca being Becca loving the media” He turns to her with a sad look “Go ahead say it”
“Say what?”
“I messed up I know you wanna say it I ruined my campaign”
“Chris you didn’t mess anything up”
“You’re not mad?”
“No in fact” Jackie smiles “I see the way you look at her you’re completely in love with her”
“You’re right but still I feel like I let people down”
“You didn’t all you did was act on your feelings”
“And we’re gonna use that” They turn and see Emily enter the room
“Hey Em what do you mean?”
“Well Becca wants to take this to the press so can we we are gonna do a press conference”
“But what do I say?”
Emily smiles “Just be honest and so will I and show people your personal life doesn’t affect your agenda”
Chris sighs “That’s not the way people will see it”
Jackie scrolls through her phone “He’s right look at the comments on the article He acts like a saint but he’s not why would we vote for a cheater I knew he was fake”
“Ok Jackie we get it no more”
“Sorry didn’t mean to”
“Well let’s spin it around with this press conference”
Chris nods “Ok if this will would work I’m kind of nervous”
“You’ve got this Chris I’ll be with you every step of the way”
****
“There’s a lot of people and cameras out there” Chris peaks out the curtain and looks at the crowd
“I know but we can do this let’s just be honest”
“Still you know these people are vultures they’ll twist it around and say other bullshit”
“I’ve got someone recording in case of any stupid editing we’ll get the truth out there one way or another”
Chris smiles “Thank you Em you’re amazing” He kisses her cheek then fixes his tie “Well let’s do this”
Emily smiles as Chris walks out the podium and she follows him immediately cameras go off and reporters start asking millions of questions
Chris holds up a hand to silence them “Now I know you all have questions and I will gladly answer them but first I wanna say my piece” He looks at Emily and she smiles giving him an encouraging nod “Now my soon to be ex wife Becca has released into the public about my affair with my press secretary Emily I’ve come to inform you that those rumors are true” The crowd murmurs “I know I made a mistake by doing that while in a marriage and that was wrong of me there’s really no excuse to cheat but let me just say that my personal life should have no effect on me being your mayor as mayor my job is to serve this state and make sure everyone is well taken care of and if I may ask do you all believe that I’ve done that since being mayor?”
The crowd looks at each other then back at Chris and they nod
“I’m glad you all think so let’s all keep my personal life out of the campaign I want a clean mayoral election we don’t need any dirty laundry aired out and please don’t attack Emily she’s a good person and doesn’t need to her name dragged into the mud that’s all now I’ll take some questions”
A reporter raises her hand “Hi Chris June Adams for channel 3 news you and Becca always seemed like the perfect couple what happened?
Chris sighs “Well our marriage wasn’t a happy one we’ve been fighting and arguing almost everyday and even if I hadn’t been with Emily we still would have divorced”
“Hi Chris Jeff Smith from the Daily Paper was your press secretary Emily a fling for you?”
Chris shakes his head “No she’s much more than that in fact” He takes her hand and squeezes it “Emily is the girl that I love she’s an amazing hard working girl and I don’t want anyone bashing her online or in person” Emily blushes as he looks at her like he just realized what love is “I love her with everything within me and if she’ll give me a chance it’ll make me super happy”
Emily grins as the crowd waits for an answer “Of course Chris”
Chris grins as he kisses her deeply and the crowd cheers he pulls away and turns to the crowd “That’s all the time we have for today”
He walks away with Emily following behind she turns to him “Did you really have to do that on TV?”
“I would have shouted it from a mountain I want the world to know you’re mine I love you Emily”
“I love you too”
He kisses her again

Taivan prompt with them getting back together in their 30s
I could have let this one be short and sweet as intended but it got away from me. It more alludes to them getting back together and is open ended but hey 🤷🏻♀️ maybe I’ll flesh it out someday.
Taissa Turner had just made partner at Fuller & Co Property Law. She’d celebrated over a nice dinner with all the other senior members of the firm before heading home for the night. The overly expensive steak sat like a rock in her stomach, it felt too much like other things she had to eaten. Still, this was an accomplishment; something to be celebrated.
She’d lost contact with the other Yellowjackets over the years. Trauma bonded some people and separated others. Natalie, and by association Travis, had become something of a stranger to her after the third time she paid for her rehab, but she felt indebted all the same for things she’d done out there. Lottie had been whisked away almost immediately upon reentering the United States. Taissa had never wanted to be close with Misty.
Van had disappeared after they broke up in college.
Shauna was really the only friend Taissa had kept, her only real friend at all if she’s truly honest with herself. She hadn’t connected with anyone in college other than her ex, Simone. She’d been so hung up on Van it didn’t work out. After that she’d thrown herself into work and she’d only managed cordial acquaintanceships with coworkers.
Her heels kicked off haphazardly by the door, Taissa dials Shauna. Shauna’s got a little girl, Callie, who she’s pretty sure is in elementary school now. Taissa’s sure she could use a break from the stay-at-home mom thing.
“Taissa! Hi, how are you?” Tai cradles the phone between her shoulder and cheek while surveying her closet.
“Good. Just made partner. Come out and celebrate with me, Shauna.”
Taissa hears the telltale sign of a phone being moved and hushed whispers as she exchanges her suit for a wife beater, jacket, and old corduroys.
“Fine. We’re going to Buzz though, I can’t stand those hole in the wall diners you end up picking.”
It’s true, Taissa tries to pick something at random every time so that the news doesn’t get a wiff of any Yellowjackets meeting up again. Fifteen years later and people were still obsessed. She’d called Shauna though for the promise of a single night to forget and have fun though, so their old dive bar from when she came to visit during college sounded ideal.
A scant thirty minutes later has Tai arriving early. Shauna will find her or call her when she gets there so she doesn’t bother waiting, breezing inside and sidling up to the bar. Two beers later and Shauna joins her.
“Tai, look! They still have the pool table. We should play like old times.” It’s unspoken that their old playing partners used to be Jeff and Van.
“One on one?” Shauna shakes her head.
“It’s a celebration. We both grab someone, we both know it’s been too long since we met someone new.”
Shauna sets to work on a twenty-something guy who’d been eyeing her across the bar. Taissa decides against saying anything: on a deeper level, she and Shauna are both aware she only married Jeff to make the argument that led to Jackie’s death mean something.
Taissa spins her chair the opposite way to gaze over all the patrons. She sees a flash of ginger hair. She’s not sure if it’s some misplaced sense of sentimentality or the fact that she and Van had spent a lot of time here when they dated but she finds herself walking over.
It’s stunning how much this woman looks like Van up close. Taissa’s eyes search her face. Are those the same-?
“Taissa Turner, who the fuck thought I’d ever see you again.” And oh fuck, it is her.
Van looks good. The years hadn’t visually changed her much, she almost seemed to be stuck in the same style she’d adopted before the crash. Taissa feels that same pull to her that she always had as a teenager. Something about Van was magnetic, they were two people that would always find themselves together again, weren’t they?
Van is smiling in a way that seems inviting. She’s got a bottle in her hands, the same beer she’d favored all those years ago. Maybe it’s the cheap booze roiling around in her veins but something pushed Taissa to hug her in answer.
Van smells good, like wood smoke and bourbon. Taissa breaths just a little deeper than she would normally. Van’s arms feel like they don’t want to let go even as they drop back to her sides. Taissa opens her mouth, unsure of what words would even come out when Shauna rejoins them.
“Tai, this is Adam. He’s going to be my pool partner. Who did you find?”
“Shauna, look. It’s Van.”

Was it worth it?
I swear to god if this is who I think it is I'm going to lose my fucking mind. I'm going to be brutally fucking honest about my feelings and I don't care, if you decide to read this that's on you. I have blocked you five times, there is a hint and then there's a blatant get the fuck away from me.
But, if you're not who I think you are, in some capacity I'd say yes. Fair warning, a lot of bad stuff mentioned, also a bit of a rant because I've never told anyone outside a few friends who aren't on tumblr. Also I'm sorry, this is gonna be long and disjointed, the whole thing makes me angry to an unnatural degree, I've never been this angry at someone in my life. TL;DR just below the cut:
TL;DR: my ex destroyed my mental state and Trollhunters made me realize that, now I'm single and happier for it. Now onto the rage.
I made a lot of friends despite my partner's actions, and I have characters who I absolutely love, I'm free, I feel good, I'm not scared to be alive. I'd say it wasn't worth all the bullshit I put up with. I'm angry at myself because I was so spineless, even now I still can't fucking make heads or tails of half the shit that happened.
I don't care anymore. They'll always see me as a horrible person, I did my best and I was never enough, I'd never be enough no matter how much I tried. No matter how many times I cried, no matter how many times I had to hide things from myself so I wouldn't leave new marks, no matter how many times I apologized, it'd always be my own fault and at this point I've just accepted I was fucking pathetic and horrible and I don't care. I had to spend every waking fucking moment catering to them, talking to them, and they'd get angry because I wouldn't realize what was wrong and I wouldn't fucking pry it out of them and bend over backwards for days to make them feel better. I had to ask for a break somewhere in the middle because between classes, work, and them, I was so fucking overwhelmed and I tried to explain it to them but they didn't believe me or didn't care but every time they had the chance they'd rub my face in the fact they were so hurt over the fact I needed a break to regather myself.
Mind you, their pain was more important than mine. When I first had Jackie, she was my favorite OC. I loved using her, I still do, but they hid their feelings about her for so long that when they told me they didn't like her and called my emotions toxic for being upset. When they tried to rub that break in my fucking face again I told them about the absolute painful hurt I felt over what they told me and most essentially they basically told me that pain didn't mean anything because it wasn't like their pain. I was fucking trying to craft her to be appealing to them, to make her what they wanted so we could just be happy again but they fucking threw all that out the window.
Wanna hear the best part? I couldn't fucking talk to anyone outside of them publicly, even to use Jackie with others despite the fact they hated her. I have Sage to thank, because they were the first person I interacted with publicly that made me start seeing my partner for who they were. They got so fucking mad over a short text RP, later told me they wanted me to make friends, then fucking went back on it and fucking got upset because I apparently treated people I talked to casually better than them.
They rubbed my face in the fact they had breakdowns in public because of shit they started. When I'd pass out they'd get quiet with me and have a short temper but if they passed out I had to be understanding. If they vanished for days at a time I wasn't allowed to be upset but if I vanished they'd have a fucking breakdown. I made myself be so understanding to them becsuse they were sick and they never fucking thought twice. Never. Because I wasn't sick like them that meant I always had to be perfectly fine. Always. Perfectly. Fucking. Fine. They admitted to me they tried to train me. Train me. Like I'm a dog. Like I'm a fucking dog. I cannot begin to tell you the absolute whirlwind of rage I felt in the moment I read that but I kept my head by some fucking miracle.
Trollhunters is what broke the back of all the shit that'd been happening. It started with Undertale, it ended with Trollhunters, and they took my fucking OC from me and told me for years that that OC wasn't mine exclusively, and now I don't have a fucking choice. I can't even begin to describe the absolutely disgusting anger I feel over the fact I literally can do nothing to get my OC back because they've told me for years she wasn't mine and I can't fucking remember anything clearly and I doubt myself constantly now. I cannot begin to describe the absolute disgust it makes me feel I can't do anything to fucking get my OC back and that I hate more of my OCs because of their bullshit.
To contact a fucking artist, an amazing, wonderful person fucking 5 years later and say that I stole their OC and to take down the art? What the fuck. Funnily enough, I have Jackie most specifically to thank for making me realize! Wanna know what the fuck they said to me? "I was upset because I felt you loved her more than me." I WISH I WAS FUCKING LYING. I have so few screenshots but Jesus fucking christ I cannot explain to you the absolute seriousness in which that was stated.
I cannot even begin to describe the anger I feel over everything that happened. Not in the fucking slightest. They always accused me of not loving them anymore, of hating them, when they first started saying that it wasn't true, but now I can't fucking stand the idea of them anymore. I hope they see all the shit I do now, how much I draw Jackie being happy despite their shit.
So yeah. I have Trollhunters and Jackie to thank for helping me realize how bad things had gotten, because if it weren't for my absolute hyperfocus on it I don't think I would've seen what'd happened as soon as I did. There are so many emotions in here I can't describe at all, and I know if they saw this they'd immediately try attacking me publicly. Hell they might see this because I've had to block four fucking accounts already. Five if you count discord.
I feel like I should've taken way more screenshots than I did, but I'm not going to post them, I want to move on from this but I have so much simmering rage over what's happened its taking me a while. They're not in the Trollhunters fandom, at least, they're barely on social media as is aside from lingering accounts. Trollhunters is my safe space now, as is Jackie and my closest friends.

[ '97 verse]✨
"Do you know, Tess, I don't think there are many people I find myself able to do this with?"
It's a somewhat out of the blue observation from Hank - someone who, given his fur, struggles to be out of the blue - but it's one said with an honest affection as they stand in line for the concession stand.
(People are staring, because of course they are, but Hank's wearing his Howard the Duck t-shirt, and that seems to be convincing most of the humans that he really is just there to watch Jackie Brown and not to eat them.)
As they move a little further up the line, Hank decides to expound upon his thesis.
"It isn't that I don't find the rest of the team's company scintillating, of course, and please, pardon my double negative. But, Scott and Jean are starting to move on to another stage in their lives. Rogue and Remy are, as the younger generation say, a thing. Logan and Morph."
He gives Tess a significant look.
Another step further up the line.
Hank definitely wants an extra large sweet popcorn bucket.
"And, to speak of said younger generation - Jubilation and Roberto appear to be rather sweet on one another. Then Lucas, Ororo . . ." His eyes grow a little misty as he catches himself, and he looks away for a moment.
It's clear he still blames himself, on some level. For not being quick enough during the attack on the United Nations, for not stopping the X-Cutioner. For not being able to find a solution for the inhibitor gun. For not being able to save poor Nathan.
It feels as though all he does is give bad news, these days, and he really wishes it wasn't the case.
". . . But then, here you are. My best friend. And, to paraphrase Charles Lamb, 'Tis the privilege of friendship to talk nonsense, and to have that nonsense respected.'"
He grasps her hand as they finally reach the end of the line, a rather bored looking teenager ready to take their orders.
"I know I talk rather a lot of nonsense, Tess. But you respect my nonsense. And I think that happens to be my favourite thing about you."
He gives her a peevish grin.
"That, and the fact that you always pay for my drinks and snacks! What more could a friend wish for?"

You mentioned somewhere that Donna is annoying you lately, so I'd love to know what you'd most want to change about how the character was written (and/or acted). Based on how she's described, I expected to adore Donna. In theory, Donna should be one of my favorite characters of all time, but in reality I range from being just "she's fine" to outright dislike (mostly past season 2!) It's so disappointing because I wanted so much to love her and to buy into her and Eric as an iconic couple, but I ended up hoping Eric would find someone else.
Yes! I mentioned it here.
Gonna put this under read more just in case.
When it comes to Donna, my issue is when it comes to her relationship with Eric. Both of them are flawed and make mistakes, but the difference is that Eric is always called out in canon and always held accountable, even for shit that isn't even his fault.
Whereas Donna almost never got that luxury. In season 1-2, I have no issue with how she's written, aside from the fact that her sisters were retconned. But after that, it's so much worse.
In "Eric's Panties", I can't get over how trusting Donna was of Eric until Jackie stuck her nose in. But my main issue is Donna's reaction. Like why is she even listening to Jackie in the first place? The only relationship she ever had was with a guy who cheated on her several times and would constantly pressure her into sex. She's not exactly the relationship expert. Even Hyde was defending Eric, and Donna still humiliated Eric and Shelly. And didn't even apologize! There's also the adding fact that even she believes Eric was lucky enough to be with her and boy did it show.
And then there was "The Backstage Pass" where Donna ditches Eric and doesn't even TELL him she's going to meet with Ted Nugent. Not only that, but she somehow believes that trust and honest communication only applies when two people are married? Then there's the cherry on top where she says she isn't sorry. Like wtf. If I were Eric, I would've broken up with her right there.
Don't even get me started on season 4. But my issue isn't even how Donna acted because I get it. I actually think in terms of writing, that's one of her strongest seasons. But it's the fact Eric is just Donna's doormat and he just...takes it. Aside from "Bye Bye Basement", Eric literally never claps back. She has so many more opportunities whereas Eric is the "loser".
In season 5, she seems fine from what I've seen sans her initial reaction to JH, but their attitudes about her relationship with Eric are no better and this goes on for seasons on seasons, so I'm not as mad.
Then there's season 6, where she gets mad at Eric for having fun with Jackie. Like Donna has a right to be upset that he tried to get out of it with her, but shouldn't she be happy that he did end up having a good time? Yet she's upset that her plan to make Eric miserable backfired and somehow he has to be the one to run after her. Her being like 'ugh' is a human reaction, but idk. They just should not have rushed the wedding and should've had a long engagement.
Also her saying they shouldn't have sex before their wedding because it would make it "less magical" is weird. I get what she's saying, like having a clean break. But like them not having sex for a bit and then doing it after marriage doesn't really do anything if you look at it from a logical standpoint.
Then there was her reaction to Eric dating Chloe while they were broken up and she was dating Casey. Like accusing him of cheating and somehow the mere possibility of them having being revolting?? Don't even get me started on her slut shaming Chloe. I've noticed this habit of her (and Jackie) slut shaming every woman they hate. And it can't be a coincidence that all the women Donna shamed are blonde (a pattern I noticed is that it's mostly blondes getting put down) but anyways.
I'm also very disappointed in her season 7 arc, with her and Eric stuck in this going nowhere fuck buddy relationship. Idc what anyone says, they were NOT dating this season. They called themselves 'bf/gf', yet didn't do ANY of the things people do in relationships. And then there was her reaction to Eric going to Africa. Which, her being upset makes sense. Her boyfriend is going to be on another continent. But her and Kitty teaming up to stop him from going is so selfish.
Donna herself even mentioned maybe wanting to travel, but when Eric does it, she's mad? And her being upset he "didn't include" her is ridiculous given that she walked out before Eric could even do so.
Also the fact that she, herself, post s2, seemed to believe Eric was lucky to be with her. Guess everyone's bs got to her head. And Red's bs advice got to Eric's head in s2 and so did everyone's comments after that. Even his own brother believed that Eric was lucky to be with Donna. It's so disappointing and he deserved better.
#answered#exactlydelicateflower#that 70s show#that '70s show#my meta#t7s meta#anti donna pinciotti#i'm not but it's so hard to love her#I still am on the belief that the idea that the whole 'donna is a bad friend to Jackie' is absolute bs#but yeah
