My Shamura Headcanons
Part 1
Hello! So I will warn it’s hard for me to explain things in text sometimes so I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense😭 but imma do my best. The “Look what you made me do” video explanation is at the bottom.
Also thank you so much @7moonbird for helping me write this💜💜🦐 a lot of this is her ideas too.
So right now I don't have anything set in stone, but Shamura is the deity of Knowledge and War. I imagined that Silk Cradle🕸️ used to be lands full of creatures both knowledgeable and powerful. However, when Shamura got their skull split, they started to loose their mind because of the brain damage. They were losing that domain of wisdom and with that soon all of silk cradle became nothing but war, all the creatures there just want to fight with no other thought in mind.
Also, when the siblings(bishops) went into purgatory they relived their deaths over and over again, Shamura is the last to be saved and stayed in that cycle the longest. 🐛🐸🦑🕷️
And despite Shamura caring for their siblings, they were strict and I imagine their belief in upholding the balance was so strong that in the end it hurt the siblings one way or another. So I feel like when it was time for Shamura to be saved, it had to be something all the bishops agreed upon. Narinder probably took the longest to convince which caused Shamura to be in there longer. So when the lamb comes around,
Shamura 1: had brain damage before going into purgatory that caused them to forget things quite often.
2: has been stuck in a loop fighting their death constantly to the point of insanity for heaven knows how long.
They are at a point where they don’t recognize anything.
The Look what you made me do Video Explanation
Here’s the video
The lamb and Narinder go to get Shamura out, Aym and Baal tag along too lol they are hungry for adventure.
But Shamura is at such a point of pain and insanity that when they get there Shamura is just fighting to fight, it's the only thing they can do. They don’t recognize the lamb or anyone else there, their vision is red. 🚩
The crown is having a few issues that I’ll explain in a different post hopefully, when I get a better idea of it. But the lamb starts having crown issues during the battle and everyone starts to realize that Shamura will be a difficult opponent that they need to plan more on how to fight them. Shamura ends up stabbing lambert the moment there’s an opening 🤷‍♀️🧍

Cotl Auuuuu
It’s modern time babeyyyy
* This au does take place in modern day but it technically “starts” in the late 90s bc it’s a Narinder and Lamb were childhood best friends au :))
* I honestly have the most ideas for when they’re in high school but I’ll get to that in a bit (also should say this was inspired by that one prom post from redcrowncafe where Lamb talks about their prom date who was an asshole and wishes they knew Narinder then so they could’ve gone with each other. Saw that and thought “okay but what if they did” and that spiraled out of control)
* I’ve yet to say that my personal headcanon for Lamb’s family is that they had two moms, and three younger siblings (a sister about 12 years younger, and 18 years younger twins; one male one amab gender-fluid). The twins don’t show up till Lamb is, well, 18 tho so they won’t come up much yet
* The Bishops (Bishop is just their last name here) are all foster siblings who have shitty foster parents. Shamura stays even a bit into their early 20s because of this since they don’t want to leave their younger siblings alone with those two. The foster parents’ were abusive in multiple ways, and they also kept any money the Bishop’s respective parents might’ve left for their offspring to themselves (spoiler: Shamura’s in particular were LOADED and so when the Bishops are finally away from these two they’re pretty much set for life). It’s after a particularly scary night where a two year old Leshy and a six year old Heket are threatened while Shamura and the parents are arguing that something in Shamura snaps and they begin to plan to murder their foster parents. Yay!
* I don’t have the details but they in fact /do/ kill them. Thing is they’re super smart about it and hardly any evidence can be traced back to them. It is a small town though so there aren’t too many suspects and overall the one who would have the motive and probable method would be Shamura (unless they wanna try and pin it of 13 year old Kallamar or 8 year old Narinder). Thing is, their foster parents? No one liked them. So no one’s gonna point fingers. The police try and press people to give a suspect but no one does. So the case goes cold. But, even though no one liked the two, murder is still frowned upon by most so the siblings move away.
* But BEFORE all that let me explain a bit about Nari and Lamb’s friendship: they met in kindergarten (idk why they’re in the same grade when I hc Lamb to be a year older but shhh) and while Narinder tried to act “cool” and “aloof” Lamb was having none of it and dragged him along on little kid adventures like playing in the mud and pretending to be power rangers. Also almost from the get go Nari had a little crush on Lamb lol. Since Nari and his sibs move away when he’s 8, these two knew each other for 3 years. Idk what all happens in that time. Like I said most of what I’ve thought up for this au (mainly about Narilamb) happens in their high school years. It is thanks to their play dates at each others houses that Lamb figures out that being nonbinary is a thing from Shamura and is like “Wait… Me too???”
* After the move, Nari and Lamb stay connected through letters and phone calls. They also send pictures of all kinds of things, mainly of themselves so the other “won’t forget what I look like!” Neither make many lasting friends, at least, not ones around the same age as them (Lamb befriends Ratau and his buddies. Narinder befriends kind library assistant Forneus and her two twin sons).
* Lamb is loud and proud about who they are, which unfortunately makes them targeted for bullying, though it’s not just for their gender, it’s also because of their - Idk a better word than quirky Sorry - personality and the rumors about their long distance best friend; there’s multiple rumors, like that he doesn’t exist (this comes from those who don’t know much about the whole Bishop family scandal) or that he’s a murderer, just like his older sibling (this comes from those that /do/ know, ofc)
* Btw over the course of these years they’ve been apart Nari’s crush has only grown and Lamb has also gained a crush on Nari themself
* OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY TIME FOR THE BIT I HAVE THE MOST OF AN IDEA FOR GET READY (it’s super cheesy and corny and honestly feels like a Disney channel original movie but this fandom could use a little more of that imo so let me live)
* So, I know some schools would let Juniors have their own prom. Let’s say Lamb’s school does that. They had been asked by some guy to be his prom date and figured “why not?” and accepted. Thing is the guy asked if they could buy his ticket, and being the nice person (yet to decide if this is also a human au or if they’re still all animals) they are they do so. The guy then just takes the ticket and tells them to get lost. Lamb didn’t like the guy but it still hurt to have their kindness taken advantage of. They tell Narinder all about it and admit they probably won’t even go to the prom, even though they already bought a ticket and outfit. Nari, who Lamb can’t see bc it’s just a phone call, is absolutely SEETHING.
* Now Narinder has a mission: Get a tux, flowers, and other gifts. Convince Shamura to let him go in his truck (yeah he drives a truck in this au, idk it’s just the car I imagined when I thought it up lol) and be away from home for a few of days (it would take about a day to drive there, then he’d want to stay for at least one or two, then another to drive back). Shamura is reluctant (that town holds a lot of bad memories and him being so far away when he’s only 16 is scary), but seeing the determination in his eyes makes them relent.
* He calls Lamb’s moms and lets them know his plan, but wants it to be a surprise. They both agree to convince them to go to prom even if they will be going alone, without letting it slip that they will have a prom date after all.
* Prom night comes around, and Lamb, who is dressed in a tux-dress combo, is confused as to why their moms, who were so insistent that they go, aren’t ready to take them? (Projecting my reluctance to learn to drive onto them here, so that’s why they can’t drive themself). Then the doorbell rings. They answer and see Narinder (who is now like a foot taller wow couldn’t tell that in the photos he sent) in a tuxedo holding a bouquet and corsage. He’s got a nervous smile on his face as he says “I know it’s a little last minute, but will you allow me to accompany you to prom?”
* Almost a full minute passes in silence, making Nari sweat and begin to regret doing all of this. Then he gets jumped by Lamb into a hug that topples them both to the ground as they scream “YES!!!”. Thankfully they aren’t hurt and their formal wear is alright, though they wouldn’t notice otherwise, their focuses only on each other’s laughter and presence.
* When he opens the passenger door for them there’s a basket of treats, jewelry and a black cat plushie. “Ohh, Narinderrrr! You’re making me feel like I’m royalty!” “You are, to me.” *pause as they look at each other in flustered silence* “A-ANYWAYS WERE SHOULD GET GOING RIGHT?” “OH YEAH YOURE RIGHT. Uh, help me up?” He helps them climb into their seat, close the door, and silently screams about how dumb that was (while Lamb is inside internally screams about how sweet that was and oh no they think they’re falling for him)
* They get there (Yeah I realized Nari doesn’t have a ticket but let’s say somehow there was enough for him to buy one at the entrance) and they’re having a good time (only barely noticing the looks they’re getting and the whispers of “Isn’t that one of the Bishop siblings? Figures Lamb would have to settle for a murderer to be their date.”), dancing, eating and drinking the possibly spiked punch. I’m sorry to say some hurt is about to happen
* They have a run in with the guy who tricked Lamb and Nari almost breaks the guys nose before Lamb pulls him away saying it’s not worth it. He’s about to disagree and say something embarrassing again like “maybe /he’s/ not worth it but /you/ are and he hurt you so he deserves to be punched” when a girl “accidentally” spills her whole cup of punch onto Lamb’s outfit. Everyone around them laughs and Lamb, barely blinking back tears, runs out of the building. Narinder growls at them all and runs after Lamb.
* He finds them curled up by a tree outside, and sits down next to them. He tries to comfort them but they sob out “Just take me back home.” He agrees to do so, but tells them to go wash up a bit in the bathroom while he gets something. As they’re washing up he knocks on the door and asks to come in. They let him and see he’s holding a box. He tells them he planned on giving it to them later after Prom for something else he had planned but figured they’d just go now since Lamb didn’t want to stay anymore. He hands it to them and says he’ll be waiting outside.
* Surprise! It’s another outfit :)) It’s a bit more cozy than what they were wearing before, but still fit for “royalty”. And a black crown with a big red jewel inlaid in the middle-front
* They get dressed and marvel in the mirror before going back out. Narinder’s heart skips a beat when he sees them.
* Idk what to put in between so let’s skip ahead to when they’ve arrived at a spot out in the open wilderness where it’s easier to star gaze. He sets up the trunk bed to be comfy and reveals he had a cooler and basket of food for them to have a night picnic under the stars.
* After they’ve eaten some, one thing leads to another, and then Lamb pulls Narinder into a kiss. They both confess and spend the rest of their time cuddling (until Lamb gets a phone call from their very nervous moms because of how late it’s getting and they’re not home yet lol)
* I have more ideas but to sum them up for now: The rest of this AU is just Narilamb long distance relationship angst & fluff. Eventually the Bishops move back to the small town and then it’s not long distance narilamb (and eventual leshycat and whatever else).
* I will say this: Another murder will happen, this time it’s Lamb who commits it. That’s all I’m giving y’all ;))c

Crown Swap AU
Tumblr media
So this Cult of the Lamb AU is one that legitimately came to me while I was in the shower. Instead of a shower thought, we have an entire shower AU. What’s the premise of this AU? Essentially, the colors of the Bishops’ crowns, and by extent the dominions that they rule over, have been swapped around. Aside from that, several other things have been swapped as well. Before I get into what those things are under the cut, though, I’ll give a brief summary: Red crown Kallamar and everything that such a development entails.
The First Swap: Their Crown Colors
- While the colors of the Bishops’ crowns and their respective dominions have been swapped around, the shapes of their crowns (and by extent the eyes on their crowns) have not. The Bishops also retain most of their original personalities. However, there are some changes to their appearances.
- Heket’s crown has changed from yellow to purple, and her dominion has changed from famine to war and knowledge. Instead of red, her skin is more purplish in color.
- Narinder’s crown has changed from red to blue, and his dominion has changed from death to pestilence. Instead of black, the color of his fur is closer to gray, with a slight bluish tinge.
- Kallamar’s crown has changed from blue to red, and his dominion has changed from pestilence to death. Instead of bright aqua, his skin is very deep blue in color, almost black. Because Kallamar has been swapped with Narinder, he is the one who gets turned into a cultist of the Lamb instead.
- Leshy’s crown has changed from green to yellow, and his dominion has changed from chaos to famine. Instead of green, he is much more autumnal in color, primarily a slightly brownish yellow-orange color.
- Shamura’s crown has changed from purple to green, and their dominion has changed from war and knowledge to chaos. Instead of purple, their carapace is green.
The Second Swap: Their Birth Order
- You may be wondering why I put the Bishops in that particular order in the first section. This is why. In my personal headcanon, the birth order of the Bishops can be told by the amount of devotion that their shrines hold. This means that Shamura is first (30 devotion), Kallamar is second (20 devotion), Narinder is third (15 devotion), Heket is fourth (14 devotion), and Leshy is fifth (7 devotion). That isn’t their birth order in this AU. I’ll also be putting notable details about their personalities in this section.
- Instead of being the fourth-born Bishop, Heket is the first-born Bishop. While Heket certainly had the personality for a Bishop of war, being a tough, no-nonsense goddess, she worried that the parental instincts that were needed of her as the eldest sibling would not come naturally. Essentially, she had to learn on her feet. She was the goddess of knowledge for a reason as well, though. Despite her worries, she learned quickly. She had to, considering the fact that Narinder was the second-born.
- Instead of being the third-born Bishop, Narinder is the second-born Bishop. Growing up, Kallamar always thought that Narinder’s temperament was more suited for death than his was. He always wished that he could switch places with Narinder, and this led to a growing resentment toward him in particular.
- Instead of being the second-born Bishop, Kallamar is the third-born Bishop. Or rather, in this AU, The One Who Waits. Kallamar always feared death, and because of that, he lives in perpetual fear of his own power. This fear made him afraid that his siblings saw him as lesser, that fewer people would be willing to follow him. Heket also ruled peace, Narinder also ruled cure, Leshy also ruled harvest, and Shamura also ruled order. But Kallamar? All he had was death. All of this fear and paranoia boiled over until it reached a tipping point, leading him to snap. In response to this betrayal, he was chained, unable to leave the Afterlife until the day that a vessel frees him.
- Instead of being the fifth-born Bishop, Leshy is the fourth-born Bishop. From the moment Leshy was born, his appetite was insatiable. As he was growing up, he bit the fingers of each of his older siblings at least once. Much like this residents of his domain, he grew to be rather fond of making merry. If his followers pleased him, much feasting would be expected, with him making an appearance for them. However, if his followers displeased him? This situation often yielded the declaration of fasts in which he would hoard much of their food for himself.
- Instead of being the first-born Bishop, Shamura is the fifth-born Bishop. From a young age, it was clear that Shamura was gifted. Even though their dominion was chaos, it was more of an ordered chaos. They always knew that chaos, in spite of itself, could also be home to tact and nuance.
The Third Swap: Their Injuries
- Instead of her throat being cut, Heket suffered a severe head injury, which in turn damaged her brain. The injury presents as an open gash on her scalp, one that exposes her skull, revealing that it has a crack in it. As such, her bandages cover her head instead of her throat. Ever since her injury, Heket became prone to brain fog and episodes of memory loss, especially of the short term variety. She is painfully aware of this, and often becomes frustrated with herself mid-sentence when she either forgets what she was about to say or repeats something. Deep down, she isn’t just angry at Kallamar for his betrayal. She’s angry at herself as well. She tried so hard to quell his fears, to make sure that he felt included and respected, but she failed, and she can’t help but hate herself for it.
- Instead of his arms rotting away, Narinder’s ears were torn. His right ear is in tatters and there is barely anything left of his left ear. As such, he has bandages on his ears. Ever since the injury to his ears, as is usually the case with outer ear injuries, sound is much quieter to him, with his left ear being especially bad. Cats already don’t blink often, but Narinder blinks even less often than that since his injury. Since it is much easier for him to be snuck up on now, he needs to be aware of his surroundings at all times.
- Instead of his ears being ripped, Kallamar’s arms are rotting away, but he still retains the scar over his left eye, which was acquired during his betrayal. After being converted to a follower, the rotting flesh heals, but he retains scars from where his shackles were attached. His arms also become prone to intermittent episodes of numbness as a follower.
- Instead of his eyes being gouged, Leshy’s throat was cut. As such, his bandages cover his throat instead of his eyes. Leshy’s injury made eating much more difficult than it used to be. Because old habits die hard, he still has a tendency to try and wolf his meals down, which often leads to him choking and becoming ill. As a result, he has lost a lot of weight since then, and is very thin. Also, you know how canon Leshy always yells? Yeah, that’s not as easy to do with his throat cut in this AU. He tries to without thinking about it, yes, but he often has to stop mid-yell.
- Instead of suffering a head injury, Shamura’s eyes have been gouged out. As such, their bandages cover their eyes instead of their head. Shamura greatly mourned the loss of their sight. They took so much pride in the beauty of their realm and all of the work that it took to get it there, but now they can’t see the fruits of their labors anymore. This led them to become subdued and withdrawn.
The Fourth Swap: Their Domains
- While the Bishops still rule over the same domains as before, except for Narinder and Kallamar, there are some changes to these domains. The order in which travel to them is unlocked by the Lamb changes as well. Silk Cradle is unlocked first, Darkwood is unlocked second, Anchordeep is still unlocked third, and Anura is unlocked last. In my personal headcanon, Pilgrim’s Passage is part of Darkwood, Spore Grotto is part of Anura, etcetera. You’ll see why I bring this up in a second.
- Heket still rules over Anura, but it has become more of a cavernous biome (like the canon Silk Cradle), although it is still home to an abundance of mushrooms, menticide mushrooms included. It now has beetroot instead of pumpkins, though. Leaves are always seen falling through cracks in the cave ceilings. Spore Grotto is still part of Anura. The appearance of Spore Grotto is largely unchanged, except for its appearance on the map. Instead, it looks like the only largely open-air part of a vast system of caves. This means that, from the Lamb’s perspective in this AU, the brainwashing ritual is actually a later unlock.
- Narinder rules over Anchordeep instead of the Afterlife. Instead of having an underwater theme, though, it is more coastal, although it is still littered with wrecked ships and other similar structures, and clusters of crystal can still be found jutting out of the sand. Cauliflower can still be found there, too. It is home to perpetual fog, though, which kind of creates a look that is similar to the open sea. Smuggler’s Sanctuary is still part of Anchordeep and largely unchanged, except for the general atmosphere changing to match this AU’s version of the domain. It’s very foggy, for example. This change is also reflected on the map.
- Kallamar rules over the Afterlife instead of Anchordeep. Instead of a foggy void, the surroundings in the Afterlife mimic that of the dark, murky deep. Chains and kelp seem to tower upwards infinitely, bones can be seen drifting about, and there are bubbles that glow as if they contain lost souls.
- Leshy still rules over Darkwood, and it is still home to the highest concentration of camellia, but it has become a much more autumnal forest (like the canon Anura), and it has pumpkins instead of berries. The domain still lives up to its name, though. Imagine an overcast autumn day right as the sun is about to start setting. That is about as bright as it gets in Darkwood. Think Over the Garden Wall. Pilgrim’s Passage is still part of Darkwood. Its appearance is largely unchanged, except for it looking like the outskirts of an autumnal forest instead, a change that can also be seen on the map. This means that, from the Lamb’s perspective, feeding their followers is more difficult early on because a reliable source of food, that being fishing, isn’t unlocked until the second domain.
- Shamura still rules over silk cradle, and its arachnid inhabitants still make it the most reliable source of spider silk, but instead of rocky caverns, it is full of pseudo-caverns formed out of gnarled wood (giving off vibes of the canon Darkwood), and it has berries instead of beetroot. Aside from spider webs galore, moss and hanging vines are also everywhere. Midas’ Cave is still part of Silk Cradle. This means that, from the Lamb’s perspective, they are being taunted with a lot of high value goods, motivating them to unlock the refinery as quickly as possible. There’s also the devotion vending machine, which can be an asset early on. Inside, vines can be seen growing un the pillars and hanging from the ceiling, with golden tinsel draped over the hanging vines. On the map, the appearance of Midas’ Cradle is unchanged.
