How the TF2 Mercs De-stress/Manage Anger
Scout
Actually a stereotypical movie bad boy about it. Cigarette, batting cage, and punching bags his emotions out. Shouts at people and shoves them out of his way, throat closed up in welled up emotions, his lungs refusing to give him air as the tightness of slamming against the metaphorical wall of frustration feels like it kills him inside. You know what? Being so tired you can barely register the world around? It's better than feeling like an elephant trapped in a jam jar.
Soldier
Works out and represses the expressions unless he's in battle. That's actually where he gets most of his energy. He thinks of all the shit that pissed him off or made him feel small and uses that flicker of rage as the start of the firecracker of a soldier on the field. Doesn't talk about his emotions much and doesn't see any need to. Yeah, a few drinks in and he gets sappy, but that's normal. Anger usually gets metal pipes bent or people's faces bashed in. Usually both.
Pyro
Expresses anger and stress as overexcitabiliy and hyperactivity. A constant overstimulation mode. Referencing the comics, Pyro won't hesitate to kill a bitch knowingly if they are pissed off. They're the reason it's called a "crime of passion". High spikes of anger followed by a low simmer of calmness. Actually pretty good about deep breaths when it comes to mild annoyances or daily stress, but the over the top bullshit absolutely gets an over the top reaction.
Heavy
Intimidation and powerplay is the name of Heavy's game. Sharp glares and a clear body message of "I will snap your spine if you breathe near me." This comes from his time in the gulag, when he had to keep himself and his family safe. Looking murderous when upset had a lot of advantages. When it actually comes to relieving the anger, he's an isolationist. Def thinks over the situation over and over again as he distracts himself with one of his hobbies. Usually not reading because his mind wanders off too much to focus on the pages.
Engineer
Hyperactive workaholic. He locks himself in his workshop and doesn't leave until he makes something either revolutionary or a man made horror you could only fathom in your nightmares. Whatever, he can sell it to the Administrator as a torture device. Who cares. Engie isn't much of a talker so much as he is a ranter. He grumbles and shouts to himself in a one way conversation as he tightens that one bolt that gave him trouble. Only once has he dented one of his sentries with his wrench when the energy was too much to comprehend.
Demoman
As is his usual solution, he drinks. He drinks and he talks. It doesn't matter to who or even if people are with him. Talking and bitching helps him to understand the situation, get his feelings validated, and develop more points of view. If that doesn't work, there's always testing his explosives. That release of emotions as he watches the burn pile explode is cathartic in a way. Pyro usually joins in and watches the fire, giving Demo someone to talk to.
Sniper
Also an isolationist, but you couldn't tell either way unless you pissed him off while talking to him. If it's just him, then you wouldn't even know that motherfucker was milliseconds away from starting a fight. Mutters to himself softly, barely able to hear the words himself as he shoots at sodacans and empty food containers all lined up by his van. Long drives while music plays in the background is one of his guilty pleasures when he can get away with it. If you ask what's bothering him he'll have a 50/50 between shrugging and saying a dismissive "it's nothing, just woke up wrong" or will barely explain it, but get the just of it accurately.
Spy
Tries to work through it physically, not emotionally. Man's has never talked about his emotions in his life and you won't make him start now. Usually very bitchy when something pisses him off, and his weapon of choice is personal insults. It's a funny thing really. He needs to feel superior by putting others down because the anger and stress makes him feel weak. There is only one good way to snap him out of a bad mood: casually praise him. "Nice work, Spy." "I knew I could count on you." "Thanks Spy, you're a lifesaver." Are instant soothers. It's nice to be acknowledged.
Medic
Workaholic worse than Engie. This man is really out here about to create an elderitch horror because he stubbed his toe and spilled his coffee. Strained smiles and snide comments are his language when he's had a bad day. If someone directly irritates him, that man is a solid 6'1 minimum and is built. He will and continue to physically intimidate people. Has violent fantasies as a cope.

The Ultimate Test
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: In which you hear that Mark Lee - a cocky classmate from college - is a bad kisser, so he personally offers to prove you wrong.
wc: 3,3k genre: party! au; university! au; slightly suggestive
You didn't used to come to parties like this. Well, at least not on weekdays. Definitely not when you had a Calculus 3 exam in a couple of days to worry about. However, the pleading eyes of your three best friends who couldn't bear to see you go through the whole grueling college experience without going through the whole drinking-and-partying stereotypical uni thing managed to convince you this time.
And you were thankful to have a little black strapless dress tucked away in the back of your closet for specific situations like this. And you were also grateful when your friends offered to pay for your Uber - after all, being an university student also brought with it the unhappiness of lack of money and the small joy of when you get something for free.
You just weren't very grateful when you realized that you barely spoke to those people at the party and your friends had "very important" things to do, which included kissing and boys, and didn't include you staring at them while all of this was going on. Of course, this was expected, and you didn't want to be a party-pooper, so you just started walking around and drinking a few shots of beverages you weren't exactly interested in knowing what were. Again, it was for free.
Your slight shyness wasn't limiting or controlling, but it was certainly a bit inconvenient. More than once a few good-looking guys came up to talk to you, but your clumsiness simply drove them away within a few minutes. Damn.
And now here you were: listening to incredibly loud music in a modern mid-century house that you didn't know who it belonged to - or even if it was a fraternity, or anything like that - with a plastic cup of a drink that you didn't know what it was, eyeliner that you could swear would melt at any moment with the human warmth around you, a little black dress that had already gone out of fashion and an uncontrollable urge to do something outrageous, just so you could distract yourself from the fact that normally at that time you would either be sleeping or freaking out about the imminent calculus exam. "Damn that motherfucking calculus," you thought, "I'm at a party."
On the other side of the large, high-ceiling living room, a group of recognizably annoying boys were playing beer pong while dozens of girls surrounded them. All of them were engineering students, except for their leader, Mark Lee, who was the most disturbing of the seven and was a literature major (which in some way that was incomprehensible to you, attracted a lot of girls) and he obviosuly took advantage of this, which was visible by the girl leaning loosely on his waist at this very moment.
— YES! — Haechan, one of them, shouted over the loud music as he hit the ping-pong ball into a glass of beer. Mark cracked his neck twice before picking up the glass and drinking until the very last drop, defeated.
You stared at him as he shrugged and grimaced before returning the glass to the table and flashing a smile at everyone in the game, preparing for his turn to throw the ball.
It wasn't that he wasn't handsome, or attractive. Yes, he was. And he didn't fall short on either count. You could understand why he was so chasen after by the girls on campus. It's just that you'd had the opportunity to have a few dialogues with Mark Lee, and they were all pretty unpleasant. There was something about his manner, his attitude, that you just couldn't endure. He was irritating. Smug. Sloppy. And you don't have time or patience for that.
He then flexed his arm, his biceps visible thanks to his tank top, and threw the ping-pong ball, but someone blocked your view just in time to watch him hit the cup.
— You won't believe what I've just found out! — Jennie, one of your three cheeky friends, appears smiling and clearly drunk. — Mark Lee is a total soft kisser!
— What? — You almost scream, startled by the sudden mention of the boy you've been shamelessly watching for the past few moments. And even worse: worried about how your friend had acquired this information.
— I'm serious! — She laughed out loud, bending her body forward and knocking some of what looked like a fruit cocktail out of the glass in her hand. You sidestep cautiously, but some of the pink liquid still splashes on your legs. — Lin said they kissed earlier in the evening, and he barely even moved! Can you believe that?
You laugh at the irony of the facts. That was valid information to share. You feel a bit bad for Lin, your classmate, but honestly? You wouldn't trade knowing that for anything. Of course, Mark, the most conceited person who ever lived, would be the type to talk a lot and do nothing. Was there anything more coherent than that? Absolutely not!
Your laughter joins Jennie's, and you both enjoy the gossip for a while. Suddenly, Rihanna's "You Da One" starts playing through the dozens of speakers scattered around the house and you and your friend stare at each other, wide-eyed, as your laughter stops.
— THAT'S OUR SONG! — You shout at the same time. Jennie pulls you by the arm to the most spacious part of the room, where everyone was dancing, and you let yourself go for the first time all night.
The lively melody and beat combine with the rhythm of your heart, and not much later you can hardly feel the world around you. Tests, lack of money, shyness or cocky boys, none of it mattered. The few drinks you've consumed so far finally seem to take effect, and with every song that plays, your body feels looser and your mind feels further away.
Not long after that, a tall, muscular guy starts to whisper something to Jennie, who smiles back shyly. You realize that maybe this is your cue to take a break from the dance floor to grab another drink and finally quench your thirst caused by the sudden exercise.
You see the familiar counter full of disposable cups and bottles of all kinds on the other side of the hall, in what appears to be a dining room combined with a kitchen that is now full of young people and very messy. It's easy to let yourself imagine what that environment would look like if it weren't in its most chaotic state: perhaps a cozy place or a shared-house of intelligent students. But right now, that was just the alcohol talking.
As soon as you reach the counter, you grab a plastic cup and fill it with what looks like clear alcohol - perhaps a vodka, or gin - topped off with a generic soft drink from the other side of the counter. That mix will be enough at the moment to keep you from passing out, but it won't let the dance sober you up again either.
The first sip brings the sweetness of soda and the bitterness of strong alcohol down your throat.
— Vodka. That's for sure. — You conclude to yourself, looking at the cup in your hands.
— I thought you were some kind of female-hermit or something. — A voice pulls you out of your little dialog with the inanimate object in your hands, and you look up to see the person on the other side of the bar, only to roll your eyes deeply.
— That' not even a thing.
But Mark Lee just shrugs, filling his own cup with what looked like a brownish liquor.
— You get the idea. — He smiles and tilts his head, stopping to watch you. His eyes scan along your little black dress and you suddenly feel embarrassed by all the attention you're getting. He just lets out a muffled laugh, probably noticing the way you flinch slightly, and walks away with his drink - not without turning around and giving you a wink, which you answered with a frown.
After the not-so-pleasant appearance of the cocky college student, you remember the funniest piece of information of the evening: "Mark Lee is a total soft kisser!". Of course! He could be as arrogant as he wanted around you or any other girl, but you knew what he really was. You knew his secret. And he may have walked out of there thinking he'd rocked it, or that he'd made you uncomfortable as usual, but it was you who had won your little dispute. After all, you're going to have the last laugh.
…🎉…
A few more drinks away and no word from your friends. The small anger you had felt towards Mark had been transformed into an important mission to tell almost every girl you knew there about the new gossip you had been entrusted with.
You were at a stage in your drinking where your conscience was no longer so affected - so you could tell that your actions were the result of a real desire to unmask the most annoying guy you knew. Of course, the drink made you bold enough to carry out the plan, but the rest was all yours.
— So… Mark Lee, do you know who that is? — You were excitedly telling Lane, a girl from your business class. Lane nodded, curious. — The rumors are that…
She then arched her eyebrows, looking past you. Unfortunately, or not, you didn't exactly notice that.
— He's a very bad kisser! — And then you started laughing for the nth time that night, thinking about how funny that was and hoping for a good reaction from your colleague.
— Oh really? And how do you know that? — A voice echoes from behind you and you feel your spine freeze. Lane stares at you and the person behind you alternately, getting a front row view of your giant screwup.
"Shit", you thought before turning to face the known voice owner.
— Mark. — It's all you can say. You try your best not to show the shame of having been caught in such a…vulnerable moment. The brown-haired guy just stared at you intensely, arms crossed in front of his chest and a deadly look in his eyes. You don't let yourself be intimidated this time, and give him an ironic look in return.
— Funny you should be saying that, hermit.
— Funny that you're a literature student and yet misuse that word.
Okay, that wasn't your best take at the moment. But it was all you could think of as a response. You wait for a laugh from Mark, or anything else that would reveal his smug spirit - or that would show that he had been shaken by your comment about the kiss.
However, he just takes a step forward, still with his arms crossed, coming dangerously close to you and tilting his head and shoulders in your direction, to look you right in the eye as he says:
— Who did you call a "bad kisser" again? — He teases, starting to crack a sly smile. — Why don't you kiss me to prove who's the bad kisser?
You swallow a lump in your throat, not knowing what to say. That's right, it seems that his idiotic manners had appeared in the worst possible way, and now it was up to you to make things right, even though you felt nervous and your stomach twisted with a feeling you didn't understand where it was coming from.
Suddenly, a flash of confidence came over you. And there, staring at your nemesis' frowning eyebrows and the nonchalant way in which he crossed his well-shaped arms, with that stupid grin on his face and a growing challenge in his gaze, you understood what was happening to you. Damn it, you want to kiss Mark.
Of course you don't want to give him a taste of being right, or yet another reason for him to think he's the man. Of course you don't want to hurt your own pride, and you'd hold on to it like your life depended on it.
But you also wanted to be able to test that gossip you'd heard earlier that evening. And you also wanted the taste of knowing that you'd totally destabilized that arrogant man. You wanted to see the look of surprise on his face when you accepted his proposal, or would he be… satisfied? Or bewildered? All the options seemed alluring in your imagination.
And you wanted to. Oh, you really did. You really wanted to kiss Mark Lee.
— Prove me wrong, then. — You boldly held the gaze of the boy who was testing your patience so much these past weeks. Your smile gradually widened as you watched his mouth slowly open in confusion. Oh, he hadn't expected that. Mark's eyebrows drew together and he seemed to search for words. His posture stretched, and the shadow of his body moved away from you.
— Wait, what did you say? — He pointed to his own ear and then to his surroundings, indicating the muffled sound of the party music. His face showed, however, that he had heard very well - he just wanted to make sure he wasn't hallucinating those words.
— Prove. me. wrong.
— What the actual f… — He practically whispered, but you could understand the words just by watching the movement of his lips. Mark's gaze in your direction was puzzled and surprised, but not in a childish way. He stared at you as if he were really trying to understand what on earth could be happening to you at that moment.
So, without letting him think too much about your sudden acceptance, you took the boy's wrist in one hand and began to lead him out of there.
— Let's find somewhere to go. — You said, with an assurance that had never come through your voice before, which Mark seemed to like. Then he took the lead himself, gently leading you through the party with the calm of someone who seemed to have done it many times before - and he probably had. You mentally thanked him, because if you had to continue to pull up your little confident act, your knees might have given out. Or your stomach would explode. Something in between.
Suddenly, Mark stopped in front of a door, already on the second story of the house. You didn't even notice how your feet made it all the way up the stairs, but they did. He opens the door, but not before turning to look at you one last time, trying to make sure that was happening.
He enters the room before you and turns on the light, making you realize that it was a rather narrow bathroom. Your heart beats rapidly before you take the final steps towards that unexpected destination. You enter and close the door behind you. Mark leans lazily against the wall opposite to the sink, facing the bathroom mirror. He takes a deep breath, looks at the floor with a sly smile and says:
— I thought you hated me… — But you don't let him finish, because you quickly stand in front of him and put both hands behind the back of the head of the boy you hated. You see Mark's eyes widen one last time as he is interrupted, before you can bring your lips together in a rushed kiss.
Your nervous fingers run through the end of Mark's hair, which seemed freshly cut and slightly spiky. You smiled into the kiss at the tickling sensation, while he barely had time to react to your approach.
Then, when he finally understands, Mark pulls you close, holding your waist with both hands and spreading his legs to fit you between them. His grip is firm but still, as if he's nervous.
You continue to enjoy the moment, moving according to the rhythm between you, but always wanting more. The air in the bathroom seems increasingly thin, but the chaos of your mind barely lets you notice. You leave Mark's lips to make a trail of kisses between his chin and neck, hearing him sigh above you. You feel the warmth of his skin, and the short traces of freshly shaved beard on his face. It's only when Mark gently pulls his face away and leans his forehead against yours, pausing to take a deep breath, that you realize he's barely had time to think.
— Okay, hasty. — He lets out a weak laugh between sighs. — Now it's my turn.
Without letting you answer - and in a classic revenge move - Mark leans over until you have to walk backwards. His steps are short, but they work until your back hits the sink counter. His exposed arms encircle you, holding you firmly on the worktop as he brings his body closer to yours until you're completely touching.
You let out an exclamation before he presses your lips together again, this time taking the lead.
Mark's lips feel like uncharted territory, as this time he takes control. His kiss is firm, but not at all restrained. Slowly, you feel one of his hands rise from the counter and run down your spine from the base to the nape of your neck, tracing it with his fingers and leaving you extremely sensitive. At the nape of your neck, Mark's hand fiddles with your hair, precisely catching the strands in a ponytail that he pulls back slightly.
His index finger makes a few deft turns through the strand, twisting it until it is completely in his grasp. He squeezes your strands with a force that doesn't hurt, but makes you grunt into the kiss - which he answers with a smile.
Still enraptured by the unexpected movements, you barely notice when Mark's two hands gather around your thighs, pushing them up until you're sitting on the sink counter and he has to tilt his head slightly to avoid breaking the kiss. The ease with which he had lifted you, and without pulling away. Oh my God.
Jennie's words about Mark seem further and further away, as if they had been in another life. They also seem, fortunately or not, untrue.
"Lin said they kissed earlier in the evening, and he barely even moved! Can you believe that? ", you hear your friend's voice in your head. Oh, no… Lin must have been completely out of her mind.
But there's barely time to think about anything outside that small bathroom. Or at least not when Mark is running his tongue lightly over your lower lip before moving on to your neck. The warm breath against your cold skin sends shivers down your spine, and you wriggle under the boy's grip - which still hasn't left your thigh.
With no time to lose, you pull back on Mark's neck to press your lips together again, and he seems to love it. For a few more moments, you exchange hurried kisses and firm squeezes, until Mark's kiss begins to slow down, becoming even more attractive. The movement of your lips, so sure and certain, gradually stops, until he leaves a few lingering kisses and rests with your faces close together.
— I think you've proved me wrong. — You say, in a whisper, then let out a muffled laugh, unable to stop smiling.
— That's a shame… — He begins, tilting his head with a sideways smile. — Because if you weren't convinced, I'd have to keep proving it to you.
You face each other directly, and you can't help but roll your eyes at his comment, and then say:
— Mark Lee, you're an incredibly bad kisser.
— That's exactly what I wanted to hear. — He mumbles and moves closer again. You can still hear him let out one last dry, drawn-out laugh before closing your eyes and surrendering to the darkness.

i just watched Inside Out 2 and it gave me an idea! (And I'm about to make it your problem)
So: if the League was responsible for someone's (probably not very mentally stable) mind, which emotion would each of them be? (It doesn't have to be an emotion from the film. Go wild if you want!)
Also, who would be in control the most? And is someone actually in charge?
So because I love to make things difficult for myself, I decided that they’ll not only have to be from the movies, but that each emotion can only be used once. That being said I think they’d be:
Joy - Magne. While Magne joined the League due to being discriminated and feeling out of place in society, I think shes the greatest example of someone who turned the League into a real home, and turned herself into someone she was proud of. She wanted to find a place where she could be herself, and find the confidence to be herself as well. And she did! She found that place and those people and found her own confidence and made her life something she could be happy with
Anxiety - Twice. Obviously a lot of his character is about being uncertain of himself and constantly being conflicted or contradicting himself. His general stance on himself is clearly a huge source of stress and anxiety for him, but also I think his jumpy/contradictory personality kind of embodies anxiety in a way
Ennui - Mr Compress. Alright I know this might seem kind of odd since hes Anything but the tired, bored, apathetic teen in Inside Out, but hear me out. He sorta acts as the counter to ennui. He doesnt really have a reason to be a villain other than he just. Wants to? He doesnt need to be dramatic or flamboyant but he Wants To. In a way, you say that he does find the world to be uninteresting or unappealing, and that on its own its not something he particular cares about. He acts the way he does because of that, he wants to make sure he doesn’t become bored and apathetic
Anger - Dabi. This ones pretty self explanatory I think. Hes angry at the world, at his family, at his life, at heroes, everything. His main motivation is that hes been wronged, and everyone deserves to pay for it. While a lot of the League are angry that they were wronged in some way, most of them have learned to cope with it in some way, or channel it into other goals and mindsets. Dabi never really learned to do this, and instead made his whole life a mission of revenge
Disgust - Mustard. He’s absolutely repulsed by heroes, especially those in training, seeing them as snobs who look down on others. He’s angry like Dabi, but in a way where social hierarchies play a lot into it. Maybe its just because hes a teen, but he reminds me a lot of stereotypical high school movies, where the dislike between kids is less focused on genuine injustices, and more on distain for social politics and a general sense of how much “better” you are than someone else. From what I remember of Disgust in Inside Out she had a similar vibe to her
Envy - Toga. While a lot of the league have a story about wanting something that others have (safety, friendship, self confidence, etc.) Toga is the one who acts on this the most, and in the most malicious ways. Her desire for other people or what they have is a main motivating force for her, and you can see that in the way she acts with other people, especially with how possessive she can be
Fear - Shigaraki. A lot of Shigaraki’s life has revolved around fear in some way. He started out as a timid child, scared of his family and later scared of himself. His fear was then taken advantage of by OfA, using it to mold him into the perfect prodigy in his teen/young adult years. As an adult, he serves as the face of the League, being a symbol of fear to the general public
Nostalgia - Kurogiri. While Kurogiri himself may not have any memories of his life pre-League, a lot of his story revolves around the past, and a life he can never go back to. Also the fact that Riley gets nostalgia later in life and Oboro became Kurogiri later as well matches up nicely I think
I couldn’t really think of anyone for sadness or embarrassment so. Whoops.
I think in typical League fashion, Shigaraki is in charge to an extent. At least if not in charge then he’s most prevalent. I think the person stuck with these assholes would be both a really worried person in general, constantly fearing that everyone is against them, but they would cope with that by trying to get others to fear them instead

I know a lot of people feel in their early days, Jimin was kinda heavy-handed with his attention on Jungkook, but I think Jimin acted that way primarily for Jungkook's benefit. I mean it's clear Jimin has cared for Jungkook deeply since debut but I feel the way he displayed it, so loudly and sometimes almost obnoxiously, acted as a key stabilizing and assuring force for JK in an environment that could've easily overwhelmed him.
This is a fresh take on the whole dynamic. I’ve never thought of it from this perspective or never seen anyone else point it out. Is it a popular thought? I felt that Jimin was only playing the extremely manly flirty character that he was asked to play and it’s the popular theory too. Tho’ it wasn’t sitting well because this is the same guy who gave JHope his fan letters and questioned stereotypes and was ok with wearing a pink dress in AHL etc etc.
***
Yeah… I’m not sure I can call it a theory, not to talk of if it's popular. It’s just how I saw them at the time, and it still feels consistent with how I’ve seen their interactions and relationship progress.
Jimin had his role to play in the group just as they all did. That’s true. But I also think, with what we know of Jungkook’s personality and their environment, their relationship could be easily explained, considering.
I mean, let’s think about it. The idol industry is incredibly fast-paced, hectic beyond what anyone can imagine, Jungkook was still in school when they debuted and had to juggle their activities with his classes. We know that when Jimin was still in school, he’d wake up at 6:30 AM and then after school, practice till around 2:30 AM before going to bed. We know from jikook’s words that Jungkook was often with him for some of this time, sometimes even sleeping with him in the practice room. So, JK was putting in work too, perhaps not to the same levels Jimin did, but Jungkook was also younger than him. All the guys had big responsibilities already, and it’s clear from footage in their early days that all of them were all just trying to stay afloat mentally, physically, and otherwise.
In that sort of environment, at that period of Jungkook’s development, with his age and what I suspect to be possible neurodivergent traits, it would’ve been very easy for him to get swept away, in a sense. To become overwhelmed and 'detach', develop unhealthy coping habits and such. Jungkook is someone who by his own admission, needs a lot of love. All the members made sure to keep an eye on him, but Jimin seemed to take it upon himself to love Jungkook, loudly. To shower him with attention as though to remind him, "I see you", "I'm watching you", "I'm in your corner always and I'm here for you".
Jimin obviously loved and cared for Jungkook back then, and it was mutual, but the way he went about showing it was one of the biggest indications of his emotional intelligence, to me. He was mocked for how he appeared to be all over Jungkook, the members too would make fun of him, but I don't think he was stupidly, blindly 'in love'. At least not quite at that point. I think he showed remarkable awareness of his own emotions, Jungkook's needs, and the environment they were in. And Jimin used all of that to his advantage and to Jungkook's benefit because it served the purpose of emotionally assuring JK, while improving JK's profile within the group (people look more desirable when it seems other people desire them), further building his confidence.
It's remarkable to me that before they debuted when Jungkook got overwhelmed and said he wanted to quit BTS to become a company dancer, the person he went to with that worry was Jimin. Jimin who was the last trainee to join their agency - so, a relatively recent addition to the group. That, to me, shows one way their bond was already quite deep, even back then, a connection that I think Jimin was intentional on developing with Jungkook. When they had their infamous rainy day fight, when all the other members sort of tossed their hands in the air after letting loose on JK, it sticks out to me that the breaking point for Jungkook was Jimin telling him, "You know what, do whatever you like. I won't care for you anymore."
Jimin's presence in Jungkook's life can't be overstated. I think over time, as Jungkook grew up and matured, he recognized how integral Jimin was to him, began to better acknowledge Jimin's needs as well and their relationship became deeper, more reciprocal and balanced. And that's how we ended up with GCF in Tokyo, as an example. I also feel this 'dance' of recognizing each other's needs and loving each other in-line with their personal boundaries, is an ongoing process for them.

So I wanna say
I HC Vil absolutely analyzes people based on their clothing choice, how they stylize it, if they are wearing makeup, how often they use it, how much, etc.
The man is an actor, so I'm sure he would be sure to have authentic characterization based on clothing, makeup, and how one takes care of their complexion and how often they do it.
Im sure he profiled everyone that came in for auditions.
Chapter 5 and 6 spoilers:
Ruggie profile: I feel like he easily saw that Ruggie was only in it for the money, the way his body moved, the way he acted, the way he has dressed. He was dressed for an easy escape, the rolled up sleeves and pant legs with the open jacket to easily take off. The clothing hangs off of his body, so it may be a hand me down or second hand from a previous Savanaclaw student (maybe Rook?). His gym uniform is put together quite well for speed, so for running, to do something and flee easily.
Epel profile: he appears to be feminine (maybe even born female but identifies as a male), he wore his ceremonial robes improperly. He is clearly trying to act more stereotypically masculine, aiming to be a stereotypical masculine man, physically and mentally. He doesn't like anything about his own physical form. So Vil decides to show him what true strength is, knowing ones own weaknesses and strengths, and useing them both to your advantage
Ortho profile: Ortho would dsfonately be hard to read due to him being a robot and haveing yet to fully come into himself as a liveing being. He probably saw how all the movements were just copies, not authentic, not something he could be. (He would go on to do this work with Ortho in the Second Fairy Gala)
Lilia profile: Lilia was clearly excited to take this chance and do what he couldn't have done before. Like Ruggie, his uniform is more loose and made for more speed. Except he radiates more michift than malace, or neediness. He seems to want to stand out and be his own being while being apart of something he cares about. His dancing movements were quick, elegant, rigid, hesitant, and not what he asked of.
Ace profile: Ace seems to be dressed for a mix of offense and Defence and good durability, good for a basketball player. The coat around his waist could show that if needed, he can break the rules and is very adaptable too as well as being a casual thing/takeing the sport a little bit seriously. His dancing wasn't the best but it was clear that he trained with Jamil and Kalim to do better. So he knows where to go to get what he needs to improve on and will listen aswell. He seems enthusiastic about joining the group aswell.
Deuce profile: has a bit more bulk, but dosent have the sleeves on the arms of his gym uniform so probably more ready for a fight and long distance running. He is dressed well put together, looking like a good role model (like what ortho says in the White Rabbit Fest: Deuce is the kind to dress for the job that you want) when dancing he is probably the most rigid but also went to Kalim and Jamil for help with performing so also seems to be willing to get help when needed. Witch is good for his goals
Kalim profile: so first of note would be the tattos, we have only seen him and Leona have any (so far, who knows if Deuce or someone has a secret one) so it may be a sign of status here. He has rolled up pants as to not trip on the legs while doing something, very short sleeves and a sweater. He is clearly not as miscivious as Ace in this regard, so it's much more of a casual thing for him/takeing sports seriously. His band is less frilly and has nothing hanging off of it, so it's clear that his perferd activity is breakdanceing, perfect and well adaptable for Vils means
Jamil profile: Jamil, much like Kalim is dressed for break dancing, but the arm bands also suggest he plays basket ball. He is clearly much more disciplined than Kalim while performing witch would show why Vil chose Jamil over Kalim(witch would be a first and make Jamil very happy).
When Vil has the SDC crew stay with Yuu and Grim, it's to help make them understand a poor liveing condition that could easily happen to anyone, to help engage that bit of kindness towards others who may need it. Like Yuu and Grim at that time.
I'm sure it served as a bit of a wakeup call to everyone there, including himself, and helped drive them to win in a way.
After their loss they still decided to donate to Ramshakle and repair the building.

Hello welcome back to my autism decided today was the day I’d finally work on NAW and so here’s the FIRST FUCKING CHAPTER!!!

Noms Are Weird
Clumsy
[2248 words] [full tw list on ao3]
Tommy had the misfortune of being born right into the first generation of giants integrated into human culture. Which for him, meant all sense of a previous culture and country he could’ve shared with other giants was a far fetched fantasy now, unlike his father, Phil’s, life. This didn’t mean anything to the blonde growing up, until teenage years brought hormones and odd feelings. Not those feelings, weirdo.
The types of feelings that burrow deep into your soul, and stomach, and gurgle and squeeze anxiously. The type that make you realize how dumb you fumble around and how much space you take up as a giant in the small world around you.
Hyperawareness. Discomfort. Some secret third thing Tommy spent the majority of his time trying to identify now. It was an odd sensation that came up anytime he was around, or thought of, a human.
He didn’t dare bring it up to anyone, worried in the back of his mind what it could be. He wasn’t stupid. There were stories and fears about how giants sometimes ate humans. That’s something Tommy definitely didn’t have any mixed feelings towards whatsoever, nope! It wasn’t like every moment he came into contact with his peers at school, his stomach churned hungrily and intrusively snuck thoughts of slipping them into his mouth- not at all.
But just in case, Tommy decided it was best to isolate socially from humans. Completely ignore and avoid them, because that’s definitely healthy and the right way to cope.
Clumsy, uncomfortable Tommy stumbled through the hallways, rushing his way to the last class of the day.
The only luck Tommy had was his school being more developed than when Wilbur was taking classes. The blonde’s school was actually suited for giant students and housed them comfortably.
But now the teen had made it to the class, stupid math. He carefully stepped past the front side of the room, which seated the human students, and made his way to relax in his own seat.
Classes could snugly fit about three giant students each, while dozens of humans could fit. Meaning, if you didn’t like your same-sized peers, you’re not only a giant blemish to the humans, but to the giants as well. That was typically Tommy.
In math, he was sat beside Punz, and only Punz. He was a senior, contrasting Tommy’s being a freshman.
The brief consideration passed Tommy to try and make friends, though Punz had a cold hard face that told him he was not at all interested. So, of course, Tommy struck up conversation with the platinum blonde.
“AYUP, how do?”
Punz gave him a bewildered side glance, before fully turning, expression clouded in disgust at the very fact Tommy was even acknowledging him.
“Who,” Punz bared sharpened teeth, “are you?”
“They call me Tommy,” he nodded, “most people say I’m annoying, but only at first, nice to meet ya, what’s your name, mate?”
Punz’s expression returned to normal; normal being incredibly bored and done-with-people looking, but still.
“Punz,” he answered. Tommy smiled, despite already knowing from the older one's reputation that spread like wildfire around the school.
Punz. He was a monster. Every giant stereotype Tommy could really think of was true for him. Loud, brash, violent. Punz was the type to start fights and he was certainly strong enough to have people wishing themselves dead. Tommy heard Punz had once broken someone’s arm! He was a threat of a giant, strong and cruel. And Tommy was all the more concerned with befriending him.
It was simple, having friends was good anyway. But having someone tough on your side always played to one’s advantage. As well as the fact Punz was a cold person who needed a heater to warm him up, metaphorically. If Tommy could be that, letting the giant trust someone, he’d consider himself having done a good job. Plus, softening Punz would do all the much to push giantkind in the eyes of acceptance.
Maybe Tommy was considering too much.
“You’re staring.”
“WHOOPS,” Tommy laughed it off nervously, “Sorry, big man, sometimes a boys gotta stare, ya know?”
“…What are you talking about?”
Tommy continued to chuckle, playing off his discomfort, “Ay, big guy, maybe we could spend time together after school, yeah?”
The giant’s nose curled and the word ‘no’ was on his lips, but a sudden thought took Punz aback, and he softened his face again, “Actually, I was spending time with some friends after school, you can come,” there was something dark in that invitation, but Tommy couldn’t detect it.
“Hell yeah!” His voice was a bit loud, the teacher hushed him.
Tommy smiled and quieted, flashing his toothy grin to Punz before focusing on maths.
As much as Tommy was a klutz and a social embarrassment, he still wanted to try with giants. Humans were completely out of the picture; his feelings and intrusive thoughts messed him up too much to bother, but at least he could talk to giants. They were on the same level, literally, and he felt all the more comfortable just in their presence than the small little breakable creatures that were humans. It was too dangerous to allow himself by them. And Tommy would avoid humans, he swore upon it, for his and their sakes.
Class went alright, and Tommy kept serving one liners and quips to Punz to butter him up. He really wanted the older one to like him. It meant so much with every giggle and small twitch of the corners of Punz’s lips he caught. The blonde didn’t think he’d be able to stand being an extrovert with no friends.
Maths was over soon enough, and the two giants parted ways, walking down the giant sized hallway to their lockers. The humans walked along a small, lifted up, walkway that was guided by a railing. They were high enough that they walked the same height up to an average giant’s chest. The school feared if they were waking down too low, they’d be stepped on, so everything for humans was raised more or less.
The freshman tore his gaze from the small walkers. He didn’t want to tempt the nagging urge anymore than it already ached. It was a foggy sensation that was trying to overtake his logistics, that settled unkindly in the back of his head. Stupid foggy feeling, ruining his high school experience.
The blonde met his locker shortly after leaving the class, as the hallways for giants were quite short and twisted in loops around previously human-built rooms. Tommy input his combination, fumbling slightly with recalling the exact numbers, before swinging open the door. Inside was nothing but his backpack, blue and plain. He’d meant to decorate it with patches, pins, and whatever else he could get his claws on, but had yet to do so. He ignored that his wish was to do so with human friends.
Tommy slipped the bag over his shoulders and walked back through the hallway. Slight anxiety met his mind when he realized Punz never told him where he’d be waiting for the younger.
It didn’t matter, as Punz turned the corner immediately, a duo of giants behind him.
“Hey, ready?” Punz offered a clawed hand.
Tommy beamed, “Yep!”
“This is Quota,” The brunette one raised a polite hand, “And Jake,” The one with glasses smiled, baring teeth.
He’d seen these two as passersby in the hallway before. He knew every giant’s face at this point, by how much staring he’d accidentally done. It was easy though to know every other person of giantkind, considering they were still a minority, especially in this school.
“Hello!” Tommy tried his best to make a perfect first impression, grin wide as day with an outstretched hand to give out handshakes. Quota shook his palm firmly, but Jake denied the contact. Tommy cringed internally, but coolly played it off.
Punz nodded to the three of them, “Let’s get going.”
Tommy nodded back, bold expression all proud of himself and totally not lame looking. The two giants beside him gave glances and turned away.
As the group made their way along to the front entrance of the school building, Tommy found that the rest of the giants were taking small glimpses over on the railings where the humans were walking. Tommy swore for a second he caught sight of Jake licking his lips just for a split moment, and his heart sank in the way of the possibility they might, too, understand this cruel feeling inflicted upon him.
It was a great deal of time later they had spent just walking and chatting, casual topics, that Tommy’s legs were just starting to pang after having used them for so long straight. He was about to speak up and protest, when his complaints were shot down by Punz taking lead talking instead.
He said, “Here we are,” And Tommy looked up to see the movie theater. Shit, he never brought money to school, they were gonna have to pay for him. How much more awkward could the teen get around his peers?
The group piled into the theater, and Tommy bashfully peered down to the floor, embarrassed to admit that he couldn't afford anything. Before he could say a word, again, Punz was first to open his mouth, “I’ll buy everyone’s tickets. Tommy, you’re new, want popcorn?”
Tommy blushed, “Uh, yes.”
“Are you the kind that likes lots of butter…?” The question was so simple, but felt like if he ‘got it wrong’ he’d be kicked out of the building quicker than he joined the trio.
So honest it was, he wasn’t Honest Tom for no reason (nobody called him that).
“Painfully buttery.”
“My man,” Punz approved, and as he handed over the money and was given the striped bag, he gave the honor of buttering it to Tommy, who absolutely slathered that delicious yellow all over the little buds of delight. Hell fucking yeah.
Jake and Quota got their candies, which Tommy politely asked not to have (he already felt guilty spending Punz’s money on popcorn and a ticket), they all made their way deeper into the building. Punz had bought them all tickets to whatever the only giant starring movie there was. It was rare to see a movie even about giants without them being demonized, so supporting them when they were correctly shown in the media must be important to Punz. Tommy respected that.
Tommy had the important job of carrying the popcorn in and they filed into the room, where they took their seats around the back, where the giant sized seats were. Jake scrunched up his nose, pushing his glasses up at the same time.
Punz groaned, “Don’t you hate that we’re stuck back here?”
Tommy was being stared at, “Y-yeah!” He didn’t have that strong of an opinion, but it must matter to Punz a lot. Jake and Quota seemed to profusely agree.
Quota echoed behind him, “It’s not fair that we’re treated like ‘others’, look not a single human even wanted to see a movie about giants!”
Tommy hadn’t noticed. Now that he was looking at the dozens of rows of empty spots, he realized the situation. At least, he thought hopefully, now he wouldn’t have to worry about the mind-numbing sensation of the ‘desire to eat people’ thing, which he totally wasn’t dealing with behind the scenes.
“It’s disgusting,” Jake curled his lip upwards, “How are we meant to trust the narrative of ‘accepting, welcoming’ humans when they don’t acknowledge we even exist?”
“You’re right…” Tommy felt uncomfortable in the knowingness. Like it was some type of poison traveling down his throat to be so hyperaware of a human’s discomfort with the idea of him. It made the odd intrusive thoughts seem even worse. How evil was he for wanting to eat those who turned their back on him?
Punz lifted his soda, “To giants, and each other, the only ones we can trust.”
Jake and Quota cheered with Punz, and a duo of giants that were also in the building smiled at the scene. Tommy reluctantly joined, afraid of sticking out like the sad, sorry, red thumb he was.
It was a few previews in, and a human entered the building, to every giant’s surprise. Punz jeered at the poor thing as she walked in and chose a seat closer to the screen. She whipped around all nervous, but ultimately ignored Punz’s distasteful choice of words.
Tommy suddenly felt like a stranger to his own skin, tenfold of what he normally experienced. It was like he wasn’t even in his body, viewing from a distance outside himself. It was nauseating, and so he excused himself away to the bathroom, leaving the bucket of buttery popcorn there with his new friends. If he could call them that, yet.
The giant felt sick, tumbling his way into the stalls, he bent over and kneeled there. Over the toilet, he just sat on his knees, and waited. It was a few minutes ticking slowly and painfully by, that nothing ended up happening. He was thankful at least, his breath wouldn’t be rotten when he got back to the trio, but the sensation of dizziness and the urge to vomit didn’t let up. It lessened slightly after a dozen more minutes, and Tommy felt fine enough to stand once more.
He couldn’t explain what had just happened. Something about the way Punz was cussing out that human for what seemed like merely entering the room disturbed Tommy greatly. He’d have to ask about what that was for at some point, if he planned on even making friends. It was starting to seem a little foreign to him. Maybe he was in the wrong for thinking like that, though. He should, as Punz said, support his fellow giantkind. It was only fair.
As he abandoned the bathroom, Tommy slowly made his way back to the theater room, begrudgingly tracing the striped walls as he walked.
Upon turning the corner into the room, the first thing Tommy realized is that the human was gone. He hoped that she hadn’t ditched the movie over Punz’s jeering.
Tommy reached the back of the room with the giant seats, and took his place beside his new friends like he was before. He didn’t notice the way Punz proudly displayed his hand upon his stomach, which was being pushed against furiously, acting like he just had a wonderful feast, meanwhile the popcorn was untouched.
The movie had since started, and was about a third into it when Tommy sat back down. He felt bad for missing so much of what Punz had paid for, but the platinum blonde didn’t seem to mind.
“Psst, Tommy,” Quota whispered over, “We’re gonna ditch this place, the movie is awful anyway.”
Tommy made an audible ‘oh’, and stood as the trio did, making their way out of the building and down the next few streets.
Punz explained, leading the group, “We’re going over to my house.”
The blonde nodded back, “Oh, uhm, I might go home actually. I wasn’t feeling that great back there, uh…”
Punz huffed, “After school tomorrow?”
“Yeah! I can do that,” He smiled brightly, happy they’d still accept him even if he left right now. Maybe he wasn’t the total loser he thought he was, and actually proved he could make friends with people, specially, the scariest giant who might have a secret soft spot. Tommy vowed to find that special little spot, and worm his way into Punz’s heart.
He waved a giddy goodbye to Quota, Jake, and Punz, as he turned and headed the opposite direction, down and over a good amount of streets. He eventually made his way to Allen Drive, where his house was. The bright wooden shingles welcomed him home as entered through the front door. It was a tiring and long day, and even though dinner smelled good in the kitchen,
Tommy took instead to upstairs, where he flopped onto his bed. The cushion caved beneath his weight, and happily accustomed to his body laying there. It was incredibly comfortable, the sheets, blankets, and pillows all piled around him. Tommy sighed out, happy how the day had ended up. Maybe tomorrow, he’d successfully join a social group with Punz and the gang, and learn how to be a person like everyone else.

Hey, if it seems like a good thing to write about once you feel like writting the requests, what about a few Hermes headcanons about him with a humam reader on ancient times who was famous for playing Lyre? It could be platonic if you want, i guess writting that many romantic ones gets a litle tiring sometimes
Reader is famous for playing the Lyre
Tumblr media
[ PLATONIC HEADCANONS ] [ Hermes ]
[ Records of Ragnarok / Shuumatsu no Valkyrie ]
Tumblr media
OMG anon, the lyre is sooo beatiful, although I prefer the harp, still is so beautiful!!! Anon your request is beatiful 💙
You are right, as much I love writing the romantic stuff is good to take a break of it
Tumblr media
Hermes could be pretty curious so he doesn't decline any oppotunity to meet someone new, doesn't matter if is human or god, don't even if he just know about them or meet them directly, besides who is he to decline a gossip when it cross his path?
Just hearing the rumor of a human that play the lyre in a beautiful way already make him curious, but the rumors doesn't stop, in fact just increase, about you playing with such elegancy that make everyone around feel fuzzy, even going as far as comparing your skills to those of an angel, making increase his curiosity. Although, he knows how humans can be easy to impress so he waits a while before really searching for you, if the rumors actually reached the gods then his curiosity will be just bigger since catching the god's attention isn't exactly easy (or not at least do it in a positive way)
Disguised himself as a human he made his way to search for you, he won't have much troubles introducing himself as the god he is, that will even give him an advantage, but it could cause commotion and just will complicate his search
For the instrument you play and for how humans are so carried away for stereotypes or in what a gender should do a what not he will be expecting to meet a beatiful and delicate lady, although he won't mind at all if you aren't like that, it actually just make it more interesting
The first times he goes to hear you play he only mixes between people and goes away when he feel satisfaced, but as the times go by he start to feel more curiosity for who you are, he know all the rumors about you, but non of them talk about you as a person just about the famous musician
So, one day he decide to approach to you and he does it with being so polite and kind that even if you are shy it won't be much troubles for you to keep the conversation, first of all he compliment you for being so amaizing at playing the lyre, those rumors aren't lying after all. Little by litte start to ask more about you, he knows that he first has to win your trust, but if you are more bold and since the start treat him as a friend is fine for him
He wants to know more about you, and as the time pass and the more you two spend time together he just start considering you a friends too, he doesn't mind it much that you are a human and if you never discover that he is a god it won't be a trouble for him either, he just want to continue being with you (besides it would make him umconfortable if he is worshiped for the person he consider his friend)
Hermes really likes hearing you play the lyre and he tries to always be there to hear you play and compliments your skills at the end, he may or may not spread the rumors more and even make it sound even better (if you point it out he will play innocent)
He is interested in the songs you play as well and will ask you were you learned them and if they have an special meaning, also if you want he can teach you some songs he know and going as far as compose a special song just for you to play (but he won't say that to you or admit it if you ask him, he just smiles as an answer)
Also he will love to have the opportunity to play music with you, he knows to play the violin so he always ask you if you would grant him the honor to play some music with you, if you decline is not really a problem because he will insist until you give up, besides he has his own charming ways to convice you
Hermes is really good at reading people so if you try to keep a facade that match with the instrument you play or are nervous to just be yourself he will point it out one day, and he will be really direct with it just because he wants to mess with you, however if you are just yourself since the start he will start to loosen up soon
With time he will end up trusting you a lot so it reach the point where he could tell you a lot of things about the place where the gods live and even some things about the gods just gossiping with his friend, he isn't afraid of getting into troubles nor to befriend a human, even if they find out that he is reveling secrets about them he is smart enough to get away with it

pls drop the cc headcannons from what I've seen of you, I trust they'll be top tier >:)
Tyy!! Most of them are random but I'll try my best!-
-Nikki and Neil used Mr honeynuts as an advantage and threat whenever they need max to behave(even tho Nikki prefers the Water spray but Mr honeynuts is much effective)
-nikki would let max pet the wolves because wolves look like dogs so they'll go out at night to feed treats or Give pets to the wolves, Neil would come along(so he can blackmail the cute moments of max with the wolves)
-Sasha and Max sometimes or everynight hang out in the haunted house and do self care or gossip or play uno, Max could agree with Sasha that Ansley is annoying because it reminds him of David, therye secretly besties, but that type of besties where they fight and snatch eachother's weaves and like those 'nyeahh..' type
-dolph, Neil and max are both mama's boy, max is a Mama's boy for Gwen but not that he's kind or obedient like those mamas boys, but he prefers her over David, and sometimes have rare moments of getting along with Gwen, maybe helping her brainstorm ideas or choosing the right deep words to make the book similar to cruel prince or haunted Adeline(yes I read that). And with Neil, his mum might be the reason why he likes science in the first place bc I hc his mum is a business woman so she's busy but sternly Lovingly to Neil, they have the same personality except she doesn't get nervous often, she's stern and strict but not mean to Neil, and She just wanted him to be successful like her when he's old but she's not like those mum's with high expectations, she just ENCOURAGE Neil, and Neil genuinely loves science, she teaches him how to build or maybe correct him when he said or do something wrong, probably the reason why he didn't want candy(Nikki's mum) to be with Carl(his dad) because even tho therye divorced, he still loves his mum. And with Dolph, Well he has a dad who has Hugh expectations for him to be a soldier or a leader of the army but His mum would prefer Dolph to be what he wants to be, she would teach him what he wants to learn, an artist. She'd give him attention and comfort him whenever his dad didn't really support the idea of Dolph being an artist instead of a soldier, and I hc she died so he's alone with his absent father or tried to get along with the other kids near his house but never gets to Because he's always called 'not boyish' due to being an artist(which his dad called him out for),
-Max and Nikki are often used as disguised people whenever they have a mission with the woodscouts, because Nikki can remember the lessons from the flowerscouts, being a stereotypical girl so she acts like one when she disguise, Max just acts like a cuter cutie Patootie which he used that act rarely whenever he needs something from adults or the counselors, but he also use it for a disguise in a mission against the woodscouts while the others are in th back, planning their revenge.
-david's coping mechanism is He has to think about jasper or 'this is for jasper' whenever he gets tormented by the kids or something's wrong, he has nightmares about jasper so he just thinks jasper's still mad at him(even tho he canonically doesn't know jasper is dead-) and still tried to contact jasper but when he didn't respond, it only worries him more but he kept a forced smile on his face because he doesn't wanna worry the kids(even tho they didn't really care but the trio might be suspicious). Gwen would usually tell him jasper's probably dead but David would say otherwise. And He breaks down easily or have panic attacks whenever things aren't going smoothly or he didn't think of 'stay happy' enough so he just breaks down and call himself names like failure or a disappointment(which max obviously agreed on-) and Gwen's just gonna slap him to snap out of it.
-David's second Coping mechanism is he writes irony parts in the song as a way to vent so he can brush the burden off of his chest but it's hard to figure out that he was venting half in the song...but max already did and called out that he has passive aggressiveness and plastic-ness in the song. Which maybe made David need to find another coping mechanism- and he used to have anger issues before when he was a kid
-gwen's bad at comforting since she's always busy or pressured so whenever someone vents to her, it only adds up to her stress and think 'tf should I do-' or maybe just pat their backs and say 'please stop crying' or 'there there' or maybe just leave them alone and tiredly say 'it ain't my problem', except for David who's the opposite, whenever someone would just say therye lonely, He'd give them a whole ass essay about how good life is for 48 hours but Gwen would cut him off if he said too much.
-daniel and Jen are besties when they met, like after when Jen's unknown mission failed, and they met up at the woods(I hc Daniel killed the doctors who figured out he's insane and he escaped the hospital), they be like 'omg...you're a serial killer?...SAMESIESSS EEEHHHH!!' and then they team up easily, which as a thing since if therye the opposite of David and Gwen, they fight alot so Daniel and Jen are besties and get along Very well.
-Harrison probably asked every parent in parents day if he's Normal, because of lack attention from his parents- meanwhile when he got to nerris's parents, they actually just comforted him that it's okay and tell him he didn't mean to make his brother disappear, and magic is fine and Harrison is a normal human being child like the others.
-jasper possessed the wolf in the forest episode, he tried to communicate with David but surely he doesn't know how to talk or live like a wolf so he just tried everything which leading To harming David and he regretted it, but he didn't mean to look menacing because he's still trying to figure out how to control the body and he was probably hungry- but he's glad they got to get along for a few days before David buried the wolf's body and jasper can finally get to wander around in the place where the wolf's body is buried..and when he got to David they night, he tried to call him but then slowly gets sucked back to the spooky island-(which it's the dial M for jasper) but after the trio figured out Jasper and David were friends, jasper hope they'll tell David it's not his fault and therye still friends...but they didn't. But he probably possess the bears as well or the platypus to stay with David.
-david's adopted by one of the counselors(that one With purple ish hair) when he was a kid, maybe because his parents died or in another country, but he has an uncle who looks after him and he's the type of uncle who would do adventures in the forest with David and take a picture of any animal they see and maybe the reason why he was signed up for camp camp Because it was originally for Adventures only until David(?) or Cameron made it for ANY course. But His uncle died due to an accident during exploring in the forest and killed by a Wolf or a bear but he was really old so he can't defend himskef like before, he also taught David how to Save himself from the wolves or any animal.
-i hc Max and Nikki likes rats and they use that to scare Neil and say 'LABRATS' REVENGEEE!!' and they js chase after neil while holding the rats. Also same way to frogs,
-harrison preferred to Hold his pets(I hc he bought his pets with him cuz he's lonely) by laying their backs in his palm after a quick grab on the skin cuz he knew holding animals by the skin is wrong and Animal abuse.
-nurf would chat with his mum through the bars in prison. Or maybe vent and they just have wholesome moments as Mother and son.
-spacekid is 8 and Dolph is 7,-ansley liked Sasha(please don't attack me-)
-Erin has curly hair but she straightens it or braids it, And Tabii helped her with it.
-Preston Nerris and Harrison are a trio but in their own adventures/moments since the show is focused on the other trio(Nikki, Max and Neil),
-neil has a Goldfish and a hamster at home. But his mum took care of it when she has time while neil is in summer.
-ered and nerris are Nonbinary. And max is trans and David's genderfluid
-tabii sings those type of songs like 'when he sees me'(from waitress) or 'helpless'(from Hamilton) whenever she thinks of Neil but maybe not anymore
-the flowerscouts trio are Bisexuals but therye still in the closet about liking the same gender.
-edward secretly borrows Sasha's skincare bottles for his acne/blemishes or told him the type of plants he'll grab for his acne
-jermy's their bait.
-since Gwen's an author, Im sure she had gone through miku phases or the 'obssessed with Astarian from baldur's gate or Cardian from cruel prince', and she writes fanfics of 'Canon x reader' sometimes and she has this Small cute bandage around her Middle finger(David bought her the designed bandage roll) so when she writes, it wouldn't hurt her finger.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-whenever Gwen is sad. David would sometimes play something on his phone and show it to Gwen but he's not really into social media. "David why are you showing me Amongus memes-" "I thought you said you like Fortnite?-" "THAT'S NOT FORTNITE-"
-Ered seeks for attention and validation since at home, she's probably getting treated like a baby by her dads and therye always absent due to work as agents, so all she can do Is taking care of her cousin. So at camp, she can do whatever she wants due to the softness parenting from her dads, but she does anything she likes and atkeast gets praise for it(especially from nikki-)
its not much but I'm still tryna remember moree- :')

Seal anon here and wow that valentines day ask was fun to read! It was so much fun! Also I just got an idea...sorta inspired by that.
Imagine if mc, who doesn't wanna be alone on valentines day and wants to show their friends love (like how people say 'i love my friends' and/or 'i love my bestie!') and appreciation for their friendships (bonus idea if you want, mc enjoys the single life), they throw a valentines day single friends party! That way all the single cookies and mc get to have fun playing party games, enjoying the freedom of being single together and basically all hang out as friends! Basically, show that valentines day is for all types of love...love between lovers, love between friends...and mc just assumes this will just be a fun party with fun party games and food and drinks and cake and thinks all will be a fun time....
Uuuuuuntil cookies start taking advantage of the party, seeing it as a golden opportunity to spend time with mc and try to woo them!
Or if you want a more interesting plot...say one of the mini games is well...someone dresses up as cupid and everyone has to run away and hide from the arrows and if you get shot by cupids arrow, you lose! Lmao! Wonder how the cookies would act to a game like that!
YOU KNOW WHAT?
THE BAR COOKIES.
Tw: Herb drugs his bros, not really Yan I admit.
Imagine Herb, Sparkling, Mint Choco, and Vampire overriding their friendship for quite literally a contest in love.
Herb probably tries to be all “good guy” and gives MC of course, a flower as a gift. He’s probably calling their little party decorations cool too.
Don’t mind the sleeping herbs he puts in the others’ drinks. (Pun not intended). He just wants to spend extra time with you!
I’m sorry, like genuinely sorry because Sparkling was my first healer in kingdom but- HE SCREAMS PICK ME GUY TO ME. I don’t know why, but he does.
He probably is all like “MC, I don’t know why, but I’m such a good guy, and yet no one wants to date me! I’m so sick of it! Because I know I would be a good boyfriend!”
Vampire…Honestly I feel he is gonna be so wasted he just randomly starts flirting with MC. Like, heavy flirting. It’s so bad that even the other members are concerned.
Unknown to the rest of the guests, Vampire knows his flirting would be justified as him being simply drunk, when really, he’s been thinking of those lines since he’s gotten an invitation.
AND OF COURSE MY ULTIMATE KIN- He’ll just randomly play an instrument (piano or violin) while he’s bored. Especially if everybody else is drunk. At first, he’s just playing while staring at his playing but soon he’s trying to slowly get your attention.
He probably rehearsed for the last week on this one piece he’s trying to serenade you with. He likes to ask what you notice about the piece, it lets him know how well you were paying attention.
These guys would also have a fight in the backyard with nothing but their alcohol tolerance and “hoes before bros” ideology.
(You know that cringe stereotype where someone plays outside the window of someone’s bedroom? Mint Choco probably does that.
…Lowkey think it would work. Except if I did it I would get called by the police-)

Some interactions I'd love to see more of with Amy:
1.- Amy and Knuckles. I like how it breaks stereotypes by having the strongest and manliest member of the team feeling comfortable enough to talk and share with Amy about the things he would never with the likes of Sonic or Rouge.
Knuckles displaying his more vulnerable side in the confidence and safety that only Amy provides adds an extra layer of dimension that humanizes his character, and further emphasizes Amy's role as the heart of the team and how she can be Knuckle's best and closest friend, giving both characters a dynamic of their own that is interesting to see and which could give Sonic and Tails a run for their money, especially with how charming it is to see Amy, the girl many assume would be the one in need of being protected, actually being the one who fiercely defends Knuckles against anyone who tries to take advantage of his noble disposition and honest character.
2.- Amy and Blaze. The thing that appeals to me with these two girls is how their personalities both contrast and complement each other's: Amy's the bubbly, easy-going and optimist, while Blaze is serious, no-nonsense and realist. Yet despite this, both share common ground in their desire to protect those they care for the most in their own unique ways. Amy is warm, almost motherly while Blaze (ironically, given her fire powers) can be cold and blunt, like the snow that covers the grass in winter, protecting it from the harsh wind outside. Amy can admire Blaze and learn from her to become a stronger heroine, while Blaze learns from Amy how to be more in touch with her own heart, as well as to enjoy the small things that makes life enjoyable. If Amy ever needed a big sister figure, Blaze would be the ideal choice. (Rouge is more like that crazy aunt who commits crimes, lol)
3.- Amy and Metal Sonic. These two have a history so to speak, as both debuted at the same time and how without Metal's kidnapping, Sonic would had never rescued Amy and in doing do, steal her heart.
The thing here is that, Metal Sonic is evil to the core of his programming and never once has done anything that resembles a spark of goodness in him for Amy to latch onto... However, there is yet another way for Amy to become invested in Metal Sonic: have her find him utterly defeated and in a very pathetic state. This was done by Tyson Hesse in the 6th episode of Sonic Mania Adventures, where Amy felt sorry for the abandoned robot. I would very much would like to see a similar premise, but expanded and developed further by having Metal Sonic start to question the nature of his actions after being a victim of Amy's kindness, becoming curious about what motivates this girl who is his enemy, help him... and in doing so, he starts to learn from Amy a sense of not only morality, but also freedom. That he is what he is because he was never given a choice.
4.- Amy and Shadow. I always thought there is something sad about how quickly the ball was dropped with these two, given that Amy played a very big and important part in Shadow not only remembering the true purpose for which he was created, but also how Amy's words made him UNDERSTAND Maria's wish and why no one has the right to deny humanity it's existance and why it was worth believing in people who despite their flaws, try their best to do the right thing.
I think Amy has the maturity and tact to approach Shadow, understanding that unlike the others, he still is very reluctant to open up to bonding with people whom he knows he is destined to outlive. She would give him his space, while also reminding him that he is not alone, and that even if he will continue to live after sll of thrm had their time in the world, he shouldn't close his heart, because the connections and bonds one makes in their lifetime are the things that make the world worth of not only protecting, but also of living.

any 'criticism' from twitter is not real criticism it's people being haters spreading complete bullcrap and it's honestly so tiring. the mental illness from people in fandoms who hate on other celebs is real. they don't make any sense and what they're saying is completely untrue yet here we are forced to read this insanity. no person in their right mind would be saying that when harry doesn't have music to sell he looks straight. you don't 'look' your sexuality unless you intentionally queer code. looking straight is not a thing. I am just sick and tired of haters being so stupid on purpose just because they want to hate harry because they're not his 'stan'.
Hi, anon!
I sort of both agree and disagree with you. I agree that people love to hate on successful people, and hive minds and fandom culture usually make people pile on or create hate trains. The competition for attention and engagement between artists and between fandoms is rife and small things can quickly blow out of porportions. However people are allowed to call out their fave for their behaviour. It doesn’t mean they love them any less. It doesn’t mean they hate them.
I get why people are reacting to what they see as queerbaiting. The tweet in question was tweeted by a queer man. I totally get why people, especially queer people, are calling out queerbaiting. Queer people want and need real queer representation, and don't want to be baited by straight people who have historically marginalised and oppressed queers. I see the tweet as critism and not hate. The tweet wasn't hateful. It was a remark and subtle dig/a call out to Harry for only appearing queer when it's profitable, which is an image he in fact is projecting to the gp. H is also not showing behaviour that you'd expect to see in a gay but closeted person. He's exaggeratedly flamboyant and queer presenting when on stage or a red carpet, but when he's off stage he's back to playing a womaniser who rotates regularly between model gfs. Since he is straight presenting, with no natural limp wrist or any mannerisms which is associated with queer stereotypes, people will read him as straight. So we can't fault anyone for not knowing he's gay and closeted. You should, of course, never assume someones sexuality, but every arrow points to him being straight.
Harry usually does queercode. We're used to seeing him with long floppy hair, flared pants or skinny leggings, flowery shirts, maybe a purse, and fully decked in jewelry. When he turns up with short neat hair and in plain smart business clothing, in a stereotypically male and heterosexual environment (a football match), while still stunting and showing no natural stereotypical queer mannerisms, people are going to see a straight man. Since he's presenting both super queer and super straight, people are confused. He's sending out mixed signals. Since he's not naturally stereotypically gay presenting, like Louis is for example, he's not even recognised as gay by his own community. It's his own community calling him out. His fellow queers.
The way fandoms are and hive minds work, people are going to pile on to drag him down. They see behaviour they don't agree with and call him out for it. That's not hate in my eyes. They're protecting themselves and their community from being taken advantage of by a "straight" man yet again. I don't think they're being ignorant on purpose. I just think his straight image has done a number on them, it's working too well. You can't blame queer people for being gaslighted into believing he's straight. Sony made it this way and now Sony have to deal with the consequences. If H was allowed to be his gay self and stopped stunting with women, he'd be read as queer instead of a queerbaiter.

Haru, Legoshi, and Louis are all the same
(spoilers for beastars manga)
Legoshi, Haru, and Louis all get along and work so well together because they're all fundamentally people who try their hardest to change the way they naturally are in order to "fit in" with the rest of society. They all do things that go against their "true nature" just so other people will hold a different opinion of them when they first see them.
And the main reason they ALL do this is because they are also all people who are immediately judged harshly just by the way they look from other people. Yes, the other animals in Beastars all have to deal with this as well, but with these three it's inherently different because the stereotypes that are being pushed onto them are unique to just their specific appearances.
People are afraid of Legoshi not because he's just a predator but because he's specifically a grey wolf. We notice that while there are other wolves in the school, none of them are really the same kind as Legoshi. He even pointedly sticks out when he's with them.
Tumblr media
And Haru is a Dwarf rabbit but her white fur makes other animals think of her as some extra innocent small creature that needs to be protected by default. She's the only white dwarf rabbit, and multiple times throughout the manga when she's with men the one thing they comment on is her fur and how it's "spotless", how small she is etc, her black eyes. Features that are noticeably absent from the other dwarf rabbit girls. (and yes I am aware the others aren't rabbits)
Tumblr media
And Louis is a stag deer, the literal embodiment of a "prey" animal that tries it's hardest to be tougher than the things trying to eat it. Louis has the advantages of being a deer with antlers, but just like real deer in the wild, he is defenseless without them. He loses whatever confident exterior that people presume him to have when he sheds the antlers every so often. People will always view him not just as a prey animal, but a deer. Animals known for the docile and weak nature, animals that will run off of cliffs if they're scared slightly. He can't let anyone ever think he's afraid, not even once, because once they see that he fears anything its a wrap. People will just go "well that makes sense he is a deer". And any accomplishments he's made thus far is just thrown out the window, it'll be obvious to everyone he was "always" faking it. (It's why he's so adamant about the play still going on despite his injury.)
Tumblr media
All three of them do things entirely against their nature just so others can look at them in a different light. Legoshi purposefully makes himself seem small and as nonthreatening as possible to prey animals because he knows that just from the way he looks, they won't want to be his friend and will be wary of him right off the bat.
Haru sleeps around with the men who chase after her because when she's doing something that's not "innocent" she's not being looked down upon as some defenseless small creature that needs saving. No one will take her experience in life seriously, unless it comes to something like actual sexual intercourse. (She's even the one who 'takes charge' when she first meets Legoshi and tells him she's fine with being the one on top the girl knows to do okay.)
And Louis pushes down any fear he feels in favor of unwavering confidence and bravado. If he's afraid he just pushes through anyways and fakes it in front of everyone. He would rather die than admit he's even a little bit worried or even anxious in a situation. Louis ate meat in the company of lions because he didn't want them to think he was just some stag deer like his father, but something even above that.
And this is why they all have such a close relationship with each other. They may not know it, but they're all doing the same thing and can relate to the pains of having to change yourself not just because of what you are, but because of what you look like in relation to other people in your species.

I promised that I’d talk about Shogun, so let’s talk about Shogun. I thought I’d already started writing this review, but I apparently didn’t, as I can’t locate the document, and I can’t even find my original handwritten notes….
For starters, it’s really good.
Based on James Clavell’s novel of the same name, the miniseries (at least, it was planned as a miniseries, but supposedly it’s gotten renewed) Shogun is about Japanese politics in the feudal period. In the year 1600, after the death of the Taiko, a council of five regents was put into power while the Taiko’s son grows up. One of those regents, Lord Toranaga, is accused by the others of wanting to make himself shogun, the de facto leader of Japan, and finds himself in a sticky situation where all of his opponents are trying to corner him.
Rather fortuitous, though, that a Dutch ship arrives on the coast of Japan, in one of Toranaga’s territories. On it is English government agent John Blackthorne, who arrives with the intent of disrupting Catholic Portuguese interest and trade in the country, and establishing Protestant influence. And that ship has a butt-ton of cannons that more than one faction would be happy to grab a hold of.
Feudal Japanese political intrigue: the miniseries!
One thing that’s fascinating about both the original novel and the miniseries is how this is essentially a fictionalization of real events. Yes, the cast is made up of fictional characters–but only barely. Just about every major character maps onto a real-life historical figure, which will help some viewers work out some things before they happen on-screen. Toranaga is a clear analogue to Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Blackthorne to William Adams (yes, the guy from Nioh), and Mariko to Hosokawa Gracia. Mind you, they’re very heavily fictionalized versions of those characters for the sake of drama. There’s no reason to think there was anything between Mariko and Blackthorne’s real-life counterparts.
If you’re curious, the TV Tropes character sheets for the show mention who each character was based off of.
I am concerned that many people are going to take this as a true representation of history, which, uh, it’s not. I keep thinking of people I know or on the Internet saying, “I know about Norse mythology, I’ve played God of War!” and, um, no. In Shogun, for instance, I think the writers (of both the show and the book, if I remember the novel correctly) lean too hard into the “Scheming Jesuit” stereotype than is probably accurate, because the idea of conniving Catholic missionaries, or Jesuits up to no good, is appealing to audiences today–although Father Alvito is a delightfully complex character.
This is not me saying that the show is bad because of these things! I’m just saying don’t take it as history.
[Although! If we look at this with a critical lens, part of why the Catholics in Japan are so seemingly hostile is because our main European viewpoint character is Blackthorne–who they rightly suspect to be an enemy agent. Blackthorne even makes a comment at the end of the series that throws into question everything he’s said about the Catholic Plots.]
A thing that newcomers should be aware of: this is not an action series. If you come into this story because you wanted to watch a bunch of samurai battles, welp, this is not for you. There is violence, certainly, and occasionally it is done with swords, and it is generally brutal when it occurs; however, there aren’t epic battles and duels every episode. Most of the show is about political maneuvering, with bits of violence, sometimes perpetrated against the self, in order to get different people in places where they’ll be advantageous or disadvantageous to our protagonists.
To make that work, there is so much impressive character work in the story. These actors are giving it their all to make these characters come to life, and act in ways that move the story forward while also remaining consistent. Because this is set in a society that has such restrictive social rules, a lot of what characters say isn’t as relevant as how they say it, and so I think careful viewers will be rewarded.
I should probably make a note about language: most of this show is in Japanese. There are parts that are in English (which in-universe is meant to signify Portuguese, the European language in Japan, which Blackthorne also speaks). You’re going to read a lot of subtitles while watching the series, unless you happen to speak Japanese. Apparently there were concerns that viewers wouldn’t like this, though considering the show’s success, those fears seem unwarranted. Supposedly, the dialogue is written in old-fashioned Japanese, though having no knowledge of the language I couldn’t really say.
Shogun has been compared to Game of Thrones, because that’s where we are as a culture, I guess–large fantasy/historical dramas that feature political maneuvering, violence, and sex are measured against the HBO show. I have seen a grand total of maybe four episodes of Game of Thrones, so I’m not qualified to judge the comparison entirely; still, I think given that it isn’t a fantasy setting, the story is based entirely on Japanese history, and there isn’t a war going on, that Shogun is a different show entirely, and also that we need to stop comparing everything remotely similar to Game of Thrones.
It is not a casual show to watch–it’s intense, there is violence, there is sex (though the show lingers on it less than some of its rival programs), and there is so much suspense in how things will play out. If you can accept that, though, Shogun is a rewarding experience with memorable, interesting characters, and an entire story contained within a season with near perfect pacing.
It’s a really good show.
Mind you, I’m not sure they can keep up the momentum for another two seasons…

Could we please get general relationship headcanons for Futaba from Persona 5?
author's note: I love Futaba, she is me. I am her. Genuinely my favorite P5 character. No it's not Yusuke even though I only have a giant print of him hanging in my room-
rating: general
fandom: persona 5
pairings: futaba sakura x gn!reader
word count: 772
warnings: canon-typical content
summary: What would it be like to be in a relationship with Futaba?
Ohhhhh, Futaba. As shy as she is, she wants to be with someone just like her. Someone who is withdrawn, willing to spend many, many days cooped up playing video games with her, and has the same goofball streak and a heart of gold. She wants to be able to screw around all day with you and just act like a bunch of goobers. While she wants a withdrawn partner, though, I think someone who is extremely outgoing would suit her just as well. A person that can be the “she asked for no pickles, sir” of the relationship, if you will. Futaba the schemer and her partner, the executor. A power couple made in hell. The world shall fear them.
When she first meets you, probably on the streets of Akihabara or when she goes back to school, Futaba would understandably be incredibly nervous and anxious. It’s in her nature. But she made a resolve to go out, make friends, and bloom into her own person after her experience with the Phantom Thieves. So that’s exactly what she does, and she meets you, the person she falls for, hard and fast. Maybe literally. Like, trips into your arms literally. And if you’re not chicken, ask her out here. She will not do it herself, Futaba would be perfectly content stewing on her emotions to stay in her safe space and keep the friendship she already worked so hard to create. So it’s on you to read the signs. Would she run away from you after you ask? Probably. But she would come right back and explain, accepting your offer for a date.
No ifs, ands, or buts, your first date is at the arcade. She has to school your gaming skill, just to make sure you are worthy of being her equal in the relationship. I don’t think she’s actually cruel, though, so if you get stomped she’ll just tease the shit out of you about how much you suck. Get ready for a lifetime of butt whoopings in Smash Brothers. Since you two were friends before dating, though, your meetups would quickly move to either your house or Futaba’s. Ordering delivery food or running to Leblanc to get curry to devour on the couch with bags up chips and soda is incredibly common with you two. And you know what? Futaba wouldn’t have it any other way. Literally, don’t take her to that fancy restaurant. She will hate it, keep it simple and private! And buy her gifts from Akihabara every time you go. She will fawn over everything you get her forever.
Speaking of gifts, Futaba’s love language is gift giving, as well as words of affirmation. We see with the protagonist that Futaba really needs verbal encouragement to go through with her plans, and you best believe that for every time you are there to cheer her on, she will return the act tenfold. She’ll be your personal cheerleader until the end. Also, Futaba strikes me as the type who would go out and buy you the dumbest thing in existence just because she thought of you when she saw it. A mug that looks like your favorite animal? Your cabinet is already overflowing, but you will find room for it.
The Phantom Thieves are her personal protection squad, so do everything you can to impress them or they will not let you around her. Not that they don’t trust Futaba to make educated decisions about who she hangs around with, but she’s definitely a bit more vulnerable to people taking advantage of her due to her social inexperience. Not to even mention Sojiro. Hoo boy. All of the father stereotypes apply here. He knows what harm can come to people in relationships, especially with their first love, so he’s overprotective as hell. But I have complete faith that you will be able to earn his respect, especially since Futaba has been so happy since starting to date you. Anyone who helps make his daughter happy is a good person in his eyes.
Overall, prepare for chaos in a relationship with Futaba. Every day is going to be something new. A new story about her hacking exploits, about what she did to get in trouble at school, or what her friends did that caused utter chaos once again. The chaos is comforting, though. You know that Futaba will always be at your side and that she’ll be there to put a smile on your face when you can’t do it yourself. You’re gonna be the one ordering the food and making phone calls, though. She’s totally not sorry.

Ringo & Yuri
CW: Discussions of lesbophobia, sexual grooming, and sexual assault
So often times when it comes to Penguindrum analysis, people really like to sidestep or ignore having to discuss Yuri, especially her relationship with Ringo. In any show it would be uncomfortable to have to watch the sexual grooming taking place, but considering Yuri is Penguindrum’s only major queer character, it also reads as playing into the predatory lesbian stereotype in a really mean-spirited way
Strangely enough, after Yuri attempts to assault Ringo, this subplot never comes up again. Apart from Ringo being uncomfortable during a phone call with Yuri, these two interact several times as if it never happened, and Yuri never tries to groom Ringo again, because of all this it can be easy to see this subplot as totally unnecessary and unconnected from the rest of the narrative
While I agree with a lot of the critique of the subplot around its shock value nature and how it is unfortunately impacts the depiction of queerness in the show, I think Yuri is depicted with too much sympathy for me to write it off as simple an unmotivated choice. Her backstory contains some of the most heartbreaking moments of the series, and her relationship with Momoka and Tabuki are important to the overall themes. Whether executed well or not, I can’t help believe the intentions of her relationship with Ringo were just as heavily considered.
And so as I mulled on this, it hit me that I think their Yuri’s grooming is supposed to demonstrate the worst case scenario of Ringo’s plans to become Momoka.
Tumblr media
For the first half of the show, we see Ringo pursuing Tabuki, this grown man clearly inappropriate for her out of her delusions that she needs to replace the hole Momoka left behind in her loved ones lives. And as uncomfortable as this subplot is as well, it is played with this dark comedic tone, to the point that when it comes to consent issues, Ringo is much more a danger to Tabuki than he is to her, because for all his flaws we learn, he is very dedicated to keeping their relationship age appropriate
Yuri puts Ringo’s pursuit in a darker context, bc just like Tabuki, she was someone in love with Momoka and who struggles to cope with her loss, only Yuri has no qualms about seeing Ringo in this vulnerable state and taking advantage of it for ill means
This revelation is a little awkwardly placed as Ringo by now has given up on replacing her older sister, but it does fit the themes this transitional middle part of the show puts forth, where all the adult figures are revealed to be dangerous, exploitative, and predatory in their own ways.
This reading doesn’t erase its underdeveloped nature or all the other problems I highlighted above, but for me at least it makes me more able to engage with the event on a Watsonian level rather than feel too drawn and distracted by the hand of the author and his weird choices.
