𝜗❀᧓ let’s just say, one time, you’re on a mission with him. There’s an enemy, and you’re lurking in the dark warehouse. He and some of the others are watching from behind, unable to tell what’s going on. It was supposed to be a recon mission.

Something happens, you end up getting hurt before Remy can even reach you. As soon as it happens and he hears your screams, he’s running out faster than anyone else. Running to you.

Basically, he feels horrible, as if it’s his fault. He’s carrying you back into the jet after he takes out the enemies.

“Stay with me, cher.” He’s mumbling out to you when you’re slipping in and out of consciousness.

He knew that traveling in the shadows was dangerous and lessened your awareness, but he let you do it anyways. He felt terrible for a while. But you had to reassure him it wasn’t necessarily his fault, and that you knew the risk and took it.

𝜗❀᧓ safe to say he doesn’t let you go alone after that.

𝜗❀᧓ your paranoia and anxiety also get worse when you’re in the shadows. When he notices your nervous face and your fleeting eyes, he puts his hand over yours. Your hands jerk a bit, flinching at the sudden touch, ready to almost fight him, but you relax, remembering it’s just Remy.

𝜗❀᧓ he also makes sure that you know you don’t have to put up a front in front of him.

“You don’t needa do t’at wit’ Remy.” He tells you quietly when you try to push him away, telling him that he’s being dramatic and that you’re okay when he expresses his concern.

𝜗❀᧓ he’s glad that you feel like you can share a part and pieces of yourself that you can’t share with anyone else. He always is going on about how lucky he is to be yours.

About hair…

TIG’s best hair is in Crackerjack in my opinion, bar none. He looked so handsome there with that floppy cut it’s not even funny. Also really loved the shorter, salt n’ pepper look in that movie where he goes to Poland or something (and he’s a cop). Super handsome and also distinguished! I have mixed feels about the Excessive Force hair (not a fan of mullets, but TIG’s such a looker so…). Also liked his hair in Escape from Alaska and silver fox look in The Kidnapping/Black Friday.

Might be an unpopular hot take, but my all time favorite “Daniel” look is in Cuba and His Teddy Bear as Teddy. What a total doll, the messy, shaggy hair just WORKS for him because it frames his face and brings out how very pretty he really is, how dark and expressive his eyes are. Another hot take—the Naked in New York haircut only looks good from certain angles. From the front it looks not so good, and sets weird, though from the side/profile it looks great.

a big ask!! thank you for this one, i am going to have a very hard time deciding but it'll be fun to sort through them all--

s1: so, so many. i’m going to have to go with something wicked, for all the lovely understanding sam comes to about dean in that episode-- it’s fantastic watching him be so soft towards dean when dean tells him what happened, and it’s an ep where we see the seeds john sowed to shape the boys around each other. fabulously written and so fucked up. runner-up goes to faith for showing the way sam desperately works to save dean, and for “he was probably gonna die anyway.”

s2: WAAAY too many to choose from, so runner up goes to every single episode-- i’m going with born under a bad sign for this one, because i am weak like soggy paper when a character is unable to stop the one they love even when they probably really should. dean walked in on this:

and imagining what jo’s thinking in that moment, when she’s narrowly escaped sexual violence and death, and dean can’t help her because it’s sammy? 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌

s3: time is on my side, for that scene where sam is talking about maggots while dean’s eating just to tease him, and he’s so delighted about it. also for the immortal corpse-brothers we almost got. doc benton is a fantastic villain who i wish they could have done more with, and i loved the way he tried to make them an offer they can’t refuse. so much excellence and “how are you gonna stop me?” UUUUGH 🐳

s4: fucking every episode, are you kidding me? this season is dripping in fucked-up dark romance between these two. dysfunction and desire galore, sam fucking a corpse because she reminds him of dean and he can’t function with his guilt and his need for his brother, dean’s betrayal and slowly growing resentment without being able to let him go-- if anything will convince people that sam and dean are erotically obsessed with each other, it has to be this season. predictably, i’m going for sex and violence. need i explain?

s5: season five is my least favourite season to rewatch 😬 going off my spotty memory from two years ago, i’m choosing the end for the conversation sam and dean have before the credits roll. <3

s6: you can’t handle the truth, for how desperately dean wants to believe that there’s nothing wrong with sam. truthfully, there’s a ton of great shit with soulless sam, but the scene where he lies to dean and then turns away and his expression just drops is in my top scenes of the entire show, with how dean is crying right in front of him so torn up over the last ep and so grateful that sam didn’t allow him to get turned-- and then the blow up at the end of the episode? delicious.

s7: another one that’s a little difficult for me, but i’m going with party on garth exclusively for the scene where sam and dean get drunk and silly together because i love it <3

s8: there’s a ton of fantastic wincesty moments in this season, but they’re usually in episodes where there’s a lot of other stuff going on. sacrifice is obvious, so obvious it’s cheating, so i’m going with goodbye stranger for so many reasons-- how delighted dean is when sam teases him about his porn addiction, and then his worry when he sees sam’s bloody tissue-- brotherly banter!! most importantly, this is the episode where dean says this:

there’s also that scene in taxi driver where we see how hard it is for dean to kill benny, but how he does it anyway just because he needs sam.

s9: i am everybody’s favourite season nine stan 🙏 i will forever be obsessed with this season for it’s heartbreak and all the wild punches it throws. i’m choosing blade runners for this, which is a super underrated episode. sam is pissed the hell off at dean, and he’s murderous with crowley, but he doesn’t let that stop him from saving his brother. the hints we get that sam isn’t giving up on their relationship in this episode set up the rest of the season as well as his unstoppable drive in season ten. the finale is my TRUE fave from this season, but blade runners tells the story in a fabulously subtle way.

s10: my, my, my. mark of cain my dearly beloved. SO much good shit. my rewatch is stalled about halfway through, so while i’d choose a later episode, at the top of my mind is the things we left behind for this:

HELLO???? there are so many choice moments in season ten for sam just being The Most, but the face cradling and the way sam goes right for dean and begs him to say he had to do it... kisses for all the writers.

s11: everything :D season 11 fed us SO good. going off of my season ten choice, though, i’m choosing safe house for sam bodily cradling dean at the end, with his huge sigh of relief when he has him in his arms, and for being the person dean sees. i mean, look at this romance:

Like plans everything, doesn't let me pay for shit, picks really nice places (which aren't even always expensive, like sometimes it's just a hole in the wall (he doesn't like chain restaurants)), makes sure I get home safe, asks me if I've eaten and feeds me when I say I haven't rather than just "you should eat" 🙄, is so patient and calm about things when I feel like I'm panicking, listens to me without giving me advice (like he'll let me vent but knows that I know how to fix the problem but I just wanna bitch about it), is so kind to waitstaff and service workers, has really healthy relationships with his friends and family (from what it seems), likes sports and whatever, but also likes creative writing and artsy fartsy stuff, he's just got this sweet, genuine thing about him, doesn't like to show off too much to impress me, is so easy going, and has great hygiene practices (so fucking important), hasn't pressured me for sex (I got something like a 90 rule ig), is really attentive but also like to talk about himself so it's not just me talking and him nodding, expresses his feelings well 🥰

ANDDDDDD he's the first guy that I haven't created this "perfected version" of him in my head. Like I don't fantasize about him, I reminisce??? i just wanna say, i love my friends all fucked up and messy and all over the place. the way they thrive in chaos while being ever so truthful about it. they be crying after a couple of shots, even bawlinggg, over a non-sense heartbreak. how they admit they're all tangled up in some messed up attachment over years and years of their lives. how theyre struggling with both the smallest and biggest fuckery they have to deal with. how theyre being petty over nothing. how they cursed at the sky for the way shits played out the way they played out. how they're just so... humans. it's honestly one of the most beautiful things i could ever experience in this lifetime—to listen to them, sometimes getting sad with them holding their hands, sometimes laughing at their stupidity, sometimes going tiger mum on them like "you put yourself in this shit, only you can clean it up, so take a fucking shower!", or sometimes when it's just too heavy for any of us to handle we all just go nihilist mode like: "nothing matters in the end anyway we all die".

this is how i love my bonds. this is why i treasure the people i care about and how i tend to be so fucking protective over them.

Of course he fucked up and misjudged, he's obviously young and inexperienced and trying to live up to his dad, but isn't Adrien somewhat to blame for putting this responsibility on his shoulders-

Adrien: every time I close my eyes I see that ass shot of him in front of Palaven. Like congrats, you're the Primarch now and here's your planet burning!

Tarquin: Garrus says it, he never hesitated. Tarquin saw what needed to be done and he did it. We spend so much time with him on that bomb and I think that was a genius decision. It shows us how young he's like in his early 20s and just lost pretty much his whole squad because of his mistake, because he tried to be clever like his dad but didn't have the experience to back it up and- and scared he is in that moment but he's also so determined to finish the mission now.

I think that scrombled my brain a bit.

Adrien: that moment when he's told he's the Primarch now because Fedorian is dead and pretty much everyone in line before him is either also dead or MIA. The shock and horror because he never expected it to happen, there were so many people better suited for the job but they're all dead now and he's a soldier not a politician. But he accepts it with determination because his people need him to be the Primarch now even if it means abandoning his squad on Menae to be quite possibly slaughtered by the Reapers.

I mean, I totally get Azula being anxious about how fast they’re moving. this made my night lol thank you for sharing these reactions!! at the end of the day I'm writing for myself but theres no way I would've made it to this point without kind people such as yourself sharing your excitement and encouraging me along!! so THANK YOU!!

the grey hair existential crisis was inspired by the grey thats recently started peppering through my own hair lol. this story only takes place within the span of a year, so I needed a way to keep showing the big picture of time passing and that seemed like a good way to introduce it. plus it ties in nicely later when Z is thinking about what S would look like when they get older :')

on Azula- even though shes in the background I still wanted to show that shes been on her own path too, and Z is definitely a big part of that. I think she looks up to him so much even though she hates to admit that. also i was DYING to finally throw in some jinzula and not just hint at it, so that was fun.

I'm so glad you liked the katara/aang/toph scene! it's always tough writing roundtable conversations like that because there are so many distinct voices/viewpoints to keep track of and I'm always afraid that it gets clunky or confusing. But it was important to me to show S opening up to them and taking their advice. I think he was probably getting in his head too much worrying about Z and he really needed that reset with help from his family and friends.

I almost cut that hakoda scene because for a while I couldn't quite figure out where to place it and how to force the two of them together and have Z in a mindset where he would even think to ask about it. Originally the frog scene was the same, but when Z started to spiral, he got up and left on his own to take a break, and ran into Hakoda in the house. but no matter how many times I tried to make that work I hated every outcome. I dont know why but that whole scene out of this entire chapter was the most challenging to push through and figure out. But I didnt want to cut the Hakoda conversation bc I really wanted Z to try to get someone else's perspective, and I wanted to show that he's still developing relationships with characters other than S. But speaking of S, I realized that scene was a good opportunity to show that he WAS paying attention and realized that Z needed help and wasnt about to ask for it himself, so he stepped in.

also OOF the argument scene. I actually loved writing that, despite the angst. I knew going into this chapter that it really needed some conflict, and that Z's internal wrestling wouldnt be enough. it needed to reach a point where he couldn't deny it anymore and they needed to communicate with words. it was cathartic to write and hopefully cathartic for you read
