I'm watching my sisters baby for her overnight, and they have never had an overnight babysitter (the baby is like 11 months) and we finally got it to sleep, and then about an hour later the baby woke up, and now it has been asleep for like to hours, but the stipulation is it has to be laying against me, the second I try to put it in the crib/prep it to go in by laying in my arms on its back, it immediately starts walking up.

Our Messiah, Kai anderson x reader
3RD POV: you had recently given birth to your 2 week old baby girl, Jade. you were resting your eyes as your sleeping daughter was held in your arms. you tried so hard to sleep but it was either jade crying or paranoia keeping you awake. you heard the door open and voices fill the room before a loud shush quieted them. kai and everyone else stood before you, watching you hold your daughter. "you're dismissed" kai spoke in his regular plain voice. everyone exited the room except him. "hey" kai whispered as he approached the couch. you hummed as you held jade closer to your body. he knelt down and pet your head. he knows your completely drained from your mother duties. he honestly felt a bit of sorrow for you since you weren't sleeping at all anymore. it was really concerning to him. you and his daughter were his pride and joy. he would do anything to ensure your safety. "hey sweetheart" kai said focusing his attention to his sleeping daughter. he placed a small kiss on her forehead. "kai...?" you asked peeking open your eyes. "yeah?" he responded "is jade ok? is she still asleep?" you said with your eyes closed. "yeah...dont worry about her..." kai said with a smile. "how long are you going to keep doing this..." you said cuddling jade closer to you "what? keep doing what" kai asked. "y'know...the cult shit...im tired of constantly being put in danger" you said peeking open your eyes. "im doing this to keep you safe...to help us...are you not grateful for the work im putting in for you? the work im putting in to keep my family safe? the SHIT i do to make you happy!? HUH" he shouted. "kai please dont yell" you said waking up fully. "i never said that...its just im really scared cause...im worried about you too...i dont want you to get hurt or die doing some crazy shit! night of 100 tates? seriously kai! when you did that i was scared for my life too! i was scared you were going to kill me cause i was pregnant! i was scared you would get caught and go to prison! and im scared about the fact you talk to yourself! you scare me!" you cried out. your daughter woke up and began to look around. "oh really!? really?! i am perfectly fine! you are fine! i do this for you! for my daughter! for my job!" kai shouted. "KILLING PEOPLE ISNT A JOB KAI ANDERSON" you shouted. you stood up with jade and left the room. she was quietly crying now. you went upstairs to your shared room and grabbed the knife from under your mattress. kai kept it there for safety. you ran into the bathroom and slammed the door and locked it. you pressed your feet against the door as hard as you could. you heard kai chase you up the stairs and into the room. "open this door right fucking now" he said pulling on the door handle. you were scared. you cried with your daughter as you embraced her. you wrapped around her and sobbed. you were scared of your own husband. the man you trusted with every cell in your body to take care of your daughter and you, is banging on the door telling you to open it or he'll hurt you. "Y/N i'll bust this door down and fucking beat you! open it right now" he ordered. you pressed with your feet harder. you were shaking. you worried for you and your daughters lives at that point since kai was on the verge of insanity. you and jade were basically the only thing keeping him from going mad. you and jade were that tiny piece. next thing you know the door flew open and kai stood there. he was pissed off. but his expression changed when he saw you and your daughter sobbing. you were shaking like crazy and you had your daughter wrapped around you tighter than ever. you were hyperventilating like hell. you weren't able to breathe at all. you held the knife in your hands with a tight grip. "Y/N...oh..oh...god...i-" tears began to form in his eyes. his voice shook. "im so sorry..." he said. he reached out for you but you backed away. tears streamed down his face. "Y/N please im sorry" he cried. you gripped the knife tighter. you weren't going to risk your child getting hurt. kai sat on the floor across from you.

Hey, hey it's me ❤ I'm in the mood for some angst, hmmm, the girl is having a huge crush on Henry since they met and they are friends for years but on her thirtieth birthday he made a huge party and when she wanted to confess her feelings for him she found him with her best friend in her bed. Thanks in advance ❤
Amnesia
Pairing: Henry Cavill x Reader
Warnings: way too descriptive explanation of eating a piece of schnitzel off a fork (i got carried away), bratty!henry, slightly toxic!henry, violence towards women (slight), swearing, angst, alcohol consumption.
A/N: Thank you so much for the request! I wasn’t sure if you wanted a happy ending or a sad ending, so I wrote both! Hope you enjoy ❤️ I also listened to Amnesia by 5 Seconds of Summer while writing this, so it may be slightly based on that song haha.

You had met Henry at Comic Con in 2013, when you had gone to see his panel for Man of Steel, and got the opportunity to ask him a question. Your question intrigued him, and shortly after the panel, you were approached by Henry himself, who was also going to the Game of Thrones panel. He remembered you from his panel, and the two of you sat together. You spent the rest of the day together, and you ended up joining him and the cast of Man of Steel for drinks that night.
After Comic Con, you two stayed in touch through Instagram, and eventually you gave him your number. A few months later, your job relocated you to London, and he offered for you to stay with him, to which you accepted. You two were great roommates, and even better friends. But, this didn’t stop your feelings from blossoming.
Everything about him was attractive to you. From the way he always had a slight scowl on his face in the morning, giving you and Kal only grunts as responses until he had a cup of coffee, to the way he would get sucked into his video games and not realize over half the day passed by without him. You loved the way you could make him snort if he laughed hard enough, and that his sides were ridiculously ticklish. You adored how much he loved to cook, often calling you into the kitchen to taste his new recipe of the week. But, your favourite thing about him was how he treated you.
Even though you were not an actress, he never treated you as anything but an equal. He was always so interested in your work, and would always be the first person to congratulate you when you reached a goal you had been striving for. He was the one who brought you soup in bed and took care of you when you were sick without a second thought, and held you whenever you needed a good cry. Your friends often referred to him as your husband because of how much he cared and looked out for you. You never put much thought to it however, until your mom asked you if you two were dating when he joined you at a family gathering.
He had stood up to go and get himself a beer, and brought you back your favourite drink and some of your favourite foods on a plate without you even asking. He then sat next to you, and engaged in a conversation about NASCAR with your dad, uncles, and grandfather.
Your mom leaned over ad whispered in your ear, “Are you two together?”
You gave her an alarmed look, and shook your head vigorously. “No, mom, we’re not. Why?”
Your mom’s eyes drifted over to Henry. “You two sure seem like you are. Might want to talk to him about it, because the way you look at him as if he hung the stars and the moon specifically for you suggest different.”
You had shaken it off, and thought nothing of it until you were back at home the next night, and really thought about what your mom said. Did he like you, or were you just reading into things too much? You shook it out of your head, and rolled over to fall asleep.
But, when he called you into the kitchen to ask you to taste his attempt at making schnitzel for the first time, you thought about it again. You watched as he offered you a piece of the cooked meat on a fork, and you opened your mouth to accept it. You noticed how his eyes were glued to your lips as they wrapped around the fork, and how he slightly bit his lip as you pulled the meat off the utensil to chew it. You instantly smiled at the taste of the food, and Henry let out a breath both he and you didn’t know he was holding.
You told him it was delicious, and you watched how is eyes lit up in joy. He did a little happy dance, and instantly blushed when you giggled your way out of the kitchen.
The next time you thought about it was when you two were sitting on the couch, watching The Sound of Music, and you drifted off just as the Von Trapps were performing at the festival and escaping. Your head had called onto his shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around you like he always did. But then he did something unexpected. You woke with a start when he lifted you up, shifted his body so it was lying down on the couch, and laid you back down right onto his chest, you head coming to rest under his chin. “Thought this might be more comfy,” he had said, and you smiled and thanked him, before your eyes refocused on the movie, no longer tired.
You noticed all of these things, but you failed to notice how much of an interest your best friend had taken in him. He was never interested, he only had eyes for you, but he did notice.
He noticed how when he wasn’t in the room, and you were on call with her, she would laugh normally, but when he entered the room, she would laugh differently, as if trying to entice him with small, annoying and EXTREMELY squeaky giggles that made him want to claw at his ears. He had never taken a second look at her. He was head over heels in love with you, why would he look at your best friend when he could stare at the goddess of beauty that was you? He’d never thought he’d have a chance with you, so he settled to love you from afar until you found your person, at which time he would resolve to look for his. It wasn’t the healthiest mindset, but it worked for him.
When your 30th birthday had rolled around, Henry decided to be the loyal best friend and roommate he was, and throw you a birthday party. He and Kal decorated the house (more like Henry decorated the house and re hung the decorations that Kal pulled down while “helping”), bought a bunch of booze, and food, and invited all your friends (and your’s and his mutual friends), and your family, along with his (minus the children. Children and drunk parents usually dont mix well.).
He noticed throughout the night that you had become slightly more distant from him. Usually at parties, you would be glued to him like the sea urchin you had gotten stuck in your foot at age 10, but you gradually stopped seeking him out. Then, his eyes landed on you, talking to another guy.
A cold, sick feeling chill ran through his bones, and he instantly recognized it as jealousy. his first thought was how dare you speak to another man? But, then he remembered, that you and him were not together, and the guy had every right to talk to you. So, he headed over to the kitchen island which was serving as the bar, and decided to drown his jealousy in alcohol. His body would pay for that in the morning, but at that exact moment he couldn’t care less.
When you had stepped outside with aforementioned guy, he picked up the vodka and chugged as much of it as he could, desperate to get wasted. After a few more drinks, he felt sufficiently drunk. Then, your best friend sauntered up to him, and Henry was surprised to find that he could tolerate her for more than 30 seconds. The two of them struck up a conversation, and what surprised Henry even more was he didn’t push her away when she touched him, kissed him, or even invited him upstairs to “fool around.” Maybe alcohol wasn’t so bad after all.
You however, were having a great time. You and your friend Cody had stepped outside to continue your conversation, as Cody was pretty quiet, and the party was rather loud. You two had just stepped into the kitchen when you looked around for Henry to introduce him to Cody, who was a huge fan of his. You didn’t see him, but when you brought it up to Cody he just said, “Oh, I lose my boyfriend at parties all the time. He’ll be here somewhere.”
You two ventured around the house, but didn’t find a sign of Henry. So when you asked your mom where he went, you were shocked when she told you that him and your best friend had gone upstairs. You immediately raced upstairs thinking that you were going to break up a fight. He had never liked her, and often had to leave the room when you were FaceTiming with her, because she just “annoyed him to the point of wanting to pull an August Walker” he said. You’d always ignored it, because your boyfriends had never gotten along with her, and you just always assumed it was because she was protective over you.
But, when you walked upstairs and found his bedroom and bathroom, the spare bedroom and bathroom, and your office empty, you opened the door to your bedroom, and your heart instantly broke into a million pieces. He was butt ass naked on your bed, balls deep in your best friend, who was also completely naked.
You gasped, and Henry immediately stopped his movements and his eyes snapped to you. The widened, and he immediately sobered up before swearing. “Shit, Y/N.” He said, before pulling out of your best friend, and covering himself. He watched in horror as your eyes welled up with tears and you ran across the hall to his bedroom to lock yourself in. It was only in that moment that he realized he was in your room, not his. He immediately redressed, and ran across the hall to his room, and began banging on the door.
Your best friend scoffed at your reaction, redressed as well, and then joined Henry across the hall. “She’s just being dramatic.”
Henry looked at her confused. “Dramatic? She just caught us, her two best friends, fucking in her bed. She has every reason to be upset. She is not being dramatic.” Your best friend rolled her eyes, and crossed her arms. “Then can you get her whiny ass out of there so we can finish what we started?”
Henry turned around quicker than Pietro trying to save Clint. “No. What happened shouldn’t have happened.”
She rolled her eyes and stomped her foot like a child. “So you used me?” Henry scoffed.
“I’d say you used me.”
“How?”
He stared at her in amazement at her sheer stupidity.
“You CLEARLY used the fact that I was heartbroken and drunk. You’re always seeking me out when I’m around, and you change from this person who seems barely tolerable to a complete and utter insufferable bitch.” He didn’t allow her to speak, instead pounded on the door.
“Y/N! Let me explain!” He begged, and tried to ignore the way he could practically hear your best friend roll her eyes beside him.
“No! There’s nothing for you to explain. You made your feelings perfectly clear. I’m just sorry that I wasted 7 years being friends and being in love with you just for you to fall for my ex best friend.” You heard both Henry and your ex best friend exclaim, but you didn’t listen to a word they said, instead grabbing Henry’s AirPods, shoving them in your ear, and turning your music on full blast before laying in Henry’s bed.
Outside the door, Henry and your ex best friend were in a straight up crazy bitch fight.
“SHE’S BEEN MY FRIEND FOR LONGER!” She screamed.
Henry got right in her face, and screamed right back at her. “I’VE CARED FOR HER AND LOVED HER FOR LONGER THAN YOU HAVE! YOU USED AN AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, LOVING, CARING, WONDERFUL WOMAN TO GET TO ME! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?”
“SHE WOULD HAVE NEVER WENT AFTER YOU, OR EVEN ADMITTED HER FEELINGS! SHE’S PLAYING WITH YOUR FUCKING MIND! I SAW A FUCKING OPPORTUNITY TO GET LAID BY HENRY MOTHERFUCKING CAVILL AND I FUCKING TOOK IT! SUE ME!”
Henry grabbed her arm, and shoved her towards the stairs. “GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW! DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT CONTACTING HER AGAIN, BECAUSE SO HELP ME GOD YOU EVEN TALK TO HER, I WILL RUIN YOUR FUCKING LIFE! I’VE DONE IT BEFORE, I CAN DO IT AGAIN!”
She ripped her arm out of Henry’s grasp and slapped him across the face before storming down the stairs and out of the house. When he watched as no one even gave her a second look as she passed, he knew that everyone hated her just as much as he did.
He tried pounding on the door again, but you didn’t answer, so he resolved to just rejoin the party. It was painfully obvious that you needed some alone time, and he was more than willing to give it to you at the moment, he needed to cool down as well.
(happy ending starts here. If you want a SAD ending, click HERE.)
The party cleared out less than an hour later, and Henry took it upon himself to clean up. The mess wasn’t too bad, but the living room could do with a sweep and the garbage needed to be taken out. He had a feeling he’d be out the majority of the next day, and he didn’t want you doing anything. He planned on spending the rest of the day making it up to you once he woke up.
He finished cleaning, and set the garbage next to the front door. He might be a 6’1 burly ass man, but he wasn’t crazy enough to go out after dark, who knows what’s lurking in the shadows out there.
He searched around the house for Kal, and became slightly panicked when he couldn’t find him, but then remembered he had put him in his bedroom before the party started, because he gets too excited around big groups of people, and Henry didn’t need stains from spilt alcohol all over the house.
He grabbed the set of keys that he had for the doors in the house that locked. Your room, his room, the basement, and your office all locked, so he had made sure to keep them on the same key ring. He walked up the stairs and knocked on the door once more, but as he suspected, you didn’t answer. He unlocked the door, and was immediately jumped by Kal. He gave Kal some pets, and let him run down the stairs and out the doggy door in the kitchen to go pee. Henry walked in the room, and his heart clenched in his chest at what he saw.
You were curled up in a ball on his bed, with his AirPods in your ears blasting music. Your eyes were puffier than hell, with tears stains all over your cheeks. Originally, he was going to move you to your bed, but he had a feeling you wouldn’t be sleeping there until you burned the sheets and got new ones, so he pulled the comforter over you. He pulled his AirPods out of your ears and put them back in the charging case. He took your phone and plugged it in, before turning on his TV and putting on Family Guy for background noise while you slept. Kal came bounding up the stairs seconds later, and growled when he saw Henry standing close to you.
“Oh, you’re taking her side now?” Henry asked the pup. Kal barked softly in agreement before glaring at his dad until he moved away from you, and then hopped up on the bed gently.
“Yeah, I don’t blame you. I was an asshole, wasn’t I?” He said, glancing down at you once more. Kal laid his head on your hip, and growled at Henry again.
Henry rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah I know. Your dad’s an idiot. I’m going. Protect her, ‘kay?” He said as he walked out of the room, and Kal huffed while snuggling closer to you and closing his eyes.
Henry closed the door, and felt his exhaustion and extreme drunkenness hit him. He looked at the stairs to his right, and decided against trying to walk down them. He then walked right into your open bedroom, and looked around. He had never really gotten a good look at your bedroom before, but he absolutely adored the way it was decorated.
You had done everything in your power to make it look comfy. You had faerie lights all over, as well as LED’s on the ceiling trim. You had a small sofa with various throw pillows and multiple comfortable blankets on it. You had a huge fluffy rug on the floor, and your bed had a insanely comfortable comforter, and a good 7 or 8 pillows on it, mostly throw pillows.
Henry pulled the throw pillows off the bed, and tossed them onto the couch, before climbing in. He was instantly overwhelmed by your scent. It was in your pillows, your comforter, even your stuffed elephant named Bubbles that you slept with every night. He hopped out of your bed once more, and brought Bubbles over to you, placing her under your arm and against your face. He went back to your room, and climbed in your bed, and fell asleep wishing you were in his arms.
The next morning, Henry’s body jerked awake at 5 am, and he knew he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep. He limbed out of your bed, before remaking it, and walking over to check on you. Kal jumped off the bed at the sight of Henry, and allowed him to come closer. He stopped at Henry’s feet and pressed himself against his legs, which signified he wanted some love.
Henry squatted own, and gave his fluffy boy some pets, and hugged him back when kal crawled in between his legs and rested his head on his shoulder. Henry chuckled.
“It’s gonna be fine buddy. Daddy’s gonna make it up to her, and maybe she’ll even agree to being your Mommy.” He said, and Kal licked his face before walking out of the room. Henry walked over, and climbed in beside you. He pulled you, into his arms, and pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead. You stirred, and tried to pull away from him when your eyes focused on his face, but he was too strong.
“I am so fucking sorry.” He whispered, and you said nothing as you buried your face in his neck, tears coming to your eyes. “I don’t know what I was thinking. I just, I was drunk, and in love with you, but I thought I couldn’t have you. I saw you with that other guy, and I just got so jealous. I wasn’t thinking straight, and I didn’t stop her. But, I should have.” He whispered, tears present in his voice as well. “Actually,” He said, pulling you closer and running a hand through your hair when he felt tears land on his neck. “I should have told you how I felt years ago. I should have told you how much I was drawn to you, and how much of my mind you occupy when I asked you to move in. I should have been honest the whole time, and I wasn’t. I am so fucking sorry, and I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you, if you just give me a chance to show you how much I love you. Please,” He begged, and you slowly nodded.
Henry’s heart exploded into fireworks. He pulled you close against his chest, and ran his hand up and down your back. Henry continued to talk to you, but you drowned it out as you were lulled to sleep by his scent, voice, warmth, and love.
You didn’t forgive him yet, and he didn’t expect you to. But, he loved you, you loved him, and most importantly he was sorry, and you’d knew he’d spend the rest of his life proving that to you.

Promt: (6) "You were suppose to be my friend. That's all... that's all I asked of you. To be my friend. To care."
——————————————————————————
You and Adam have been partners for nearly 2 years now and it feels like everything has reached rock bottom. You were in intelligence before Adam, he joined about 6 months after you did. When he came you welcomed him straight away. You had an instant bond. You and Adam had this promise; whenever there was a bad case you would both deal with it together, you wouldn't suffer alone. And that's what you did, you leaned on each other. After a bad case you'd both go to mollys and have a beer and talk. Its what made you great partners. It comforted both of you. Just each other's presence was enough.
Adam has started dating this girl called Paige. You've met her a couple times at mollys and it is safe to she that she despises you. At first she was so sweet, she came over to you and introduced herself and was so polite. Then she saw you and Adam laughing together and from that moment she decided to not like you. You had to be okay with it. She made Adam happy and all you care about is Adams happiness. You just wish Adam would still be there for you. You missed him.
You'd just finished a very quiet shift with Adam and the team and all of you decided to head to mollys. Once you arrived Paige was already sat there waiting for Adam. You didn't want things to be awkward so you went to the other side of the bar. "Stella can I have a beer please" you smiled at her. "Coming right up" she said enthusiastically. Stella always gave off a good vibe, she just makes everyone smile. She gave you your beer and then went to talk to Severide. You were sat at the corner of the bar alone. You were tempted to leave but you didn't want people questioning why. "Detective Y/L/N I haven't seen you in a minute how are you" you looked up for your eyes to meet with Chief Bodens. You smiled " Chief hi, I'm good thank you! How have things been at 51?" You and the chief sat and had a convocation about life and work. You kept glancing over at Adam he was with the rest of the team. They loved Paige so what could you do? "Why aren't you with them?" Boden curiously asked. You didn't know how to answer so you picked up your beer and drank. Boden just looked at you. You were trying to form the words to say that you missed Adam but instead your emotions took over. Your throat got tight and you could feel the tears brimming in your eyes. You looked up, trying to make sure they wouldn't fall. You were too late they were already streaming down your face. You looked back at Boden "I'm so sorry I don't know why I'm crying, I'm just tired I promise." You said with your voice slightly breaking. Boden gave you a small smile and placed a hand around your shoulder. "51 will always be here for you. Any time. You and Ruzek are close why don't I call him over and—" "no" you quickly interrupted the chief. "I mean thank you Chief it means a lot but I'm fine really, I'm just gonna head home and sleep." You said with the best smile you could put on. The chief looked confused but he understood that you didn't want to talk "goodnight Y/L/N." He softly said.
Once you got home you lost it. You fell down against your door and just cried. You were loosing Adam. No you had lost him. You felt betrayed and alone. You had no one to talk to. Adam hasn't spoke more than 2 words to you since he met Paige. It really hurt you. You then did what you told Boden. You went to sleep.
You must have been asleep for about 2 hours when you hear a knock at your door. You put on a robe and went to the door. You reluctantly opened it to find Jay Halstead. Other than Ruzek you were close with jay. He trusted you and you trusted him. You had a great friendship. "Hey" he said softly with a little smile. "Hey" you replied whilst moving to the side so he could come in. "Is everything okay?" You asked. Jay just looked at you. "Y/N we saw you at the bar. Once you left me and Atwater went to speak to the chief he said to check in on you. I should be asking you if you're okay." You didn't answer instead you went and grabbed a glass of water. "Want one?" You asked jay. He shook his head. "Y/N/N come on talk to me. You know I'm here for you. You're family. You've been here for me since you joined. So let me be here for you" he said with a smile. "Jay nothings wrong really I just— I— er— ugh" you took another mouthful of water hoping that it would turn into vodka so you'd never have to answer. "I miss Adam" you blurted out. Jay looked at you and said " what do you mean you miss him? You saw him today" jay then looked liked he solved a case and his answer was "ohh". You looked at him puzzled. "You're jealous of Paige" Jay teased. You rolled your eyes "I am not" you immediately and defensively said ."sure" jay laughed and gave you a quick hug. "Y/N he's fooling nobody but himself if he thinks that Paige is the one for him. The whole of Chicago knows that you two are meant to be. Try talking to him. Just tell him you miss him" jay suggested. You pulled back from the hug "jay I don't like him in that way, I just miss how things used to be between us. And it doesn't help that Paige hates me" Jay burst into a fit of laughter. "Damn you are both foolish you are in loveee. And please, let Paige hate you! Name one of us who actually like her."Jay then got a call from Will asking for him to pick him up from the hospital. Once he left you decided to head back to bed.
The next morning you stopped off at a coffee shop before heading into work. Ruzek was at the door of the district waiting. You predicted that he was waiting for Voight. You went to walk straight past him when he stopped you and said "really? Not even a good morning? Wow she was right about you" Ruzek mumbled the last part but you still heard. You were confused to say the least. "Excuse me?" You turned and asked him. "What the hell is going on with you. What was last night about? You went and sat on your own you didn't even make an effort with Paige. She's getting offended by all of this nonsense you know. Then Halstead rang me last night you know." Adam then got this pissed off look on his face. "YOU REALLY HAVE TO HAVE ME ALONE AND SAD DONT YOU. YOU TELLING JAY PAIGE HATES YOU. YOU'RE THE ONE WHOS BEEN A BITCH. YOU'VE BEEN NOTHING BUT RUDE TO PAIGE. THE MESSAGES YOU SENT HER WHERE EXTREME BUT NOW KEYING HER CAR! YOU'VE GONE TO FAR! HOW WAS I EVER CLOSE WITH YOU?!" You had never seen Adam this angry before. You had no idea what he was going on about but he clearly had no interest in listening to you. You didn't say a word, you just walked into the district. You didn't bother saying good Morning to Trudy, which is something you always do. You just walked straight up to intelligence. You didn't want to face anyone so you just went straight to the locker room. You couldn't cry, that's what started this. So you just stared at a locker. You snapped out of it and looked up to see Jay stood at the door. "Y/N I'm—" you instantly barged passed him.
You made your way to your desk and just sat down clearly in a mood. Voight then came out his office announcing that we have a case. "Ruzek and Y/L/N I want you both at the crime scene see what you can find. The rest of you talk to your CI's see what you can find. You rolled your eyes and made your way to your car. Adam got into the passenger side without saying a word. You both sat there silently. You arrived at the scene, you couldn't take it you had to say something. "Adam I don't know what you think I did but I didn't. Last night was uncalled for you're right. I should have made an effort i just— I didn't want to bother you. I was sat with Boden just having a convocation I don't know what came over me I was just tired that's the only reason I cried. But do you know what else Is uncalled for? You talking to me like that. You were suppose to be my friend. That's all... that's all I asked of you. To be my friend. To care. I don't want you to be alone and I'm sorry I made you feel that way. I'm so sorry. You said with your voice breaking. You didn't wait for Adams response you just got out the car and viewed the scene. You got what you needed and went back to the car. You faced another silent ride back.
Once you got back to the district Adam immediately got out your car. You stayed in there to have a moment alone. After about 10 minutes you got out. You went to walk past Trudy when she stopped you. "Detective a word". You went to her. She looked at you and said "are you okay?" You nodded and made your way upstairs. You had reached your limits. You didn't know what to do anymore. You felt like you had no one. Adam wasn't there you had no idea where he went.
You were going through some possible suspects when Adam comes upstairs with Paige. He had to be joking right? Jay immediately looked at you. 'Y/N you are a detective for goodness sake grow some balls and stand your ground' you thought to yourself. "Paige can I have a word please" you finally built the courage to say. "Y/N whatever you have to say ,you can say it in front of everyone." She bitchily replied. "Fine" you mumbled. You were about to loose it. "I don't know what I did to piss you off. I really don't. But I am tired of this bullshit. I've apparently been nothing but rude to you so you know what I'll live up to it. YOU ARE FULL OF NOTHING BUT BULL. SO IVE APPARENTLY KEYED YOUR CAR, BEEN RUDE TO YOU. DID I MURDER YOUR FAMILY TOO? Paige I'm tired of this tell him the truth." You said. Out of the corner of your eye you could see jay smirking. Voight was also in the room so you expected him to say something but he didn't. "I-I" was all Paige said when Adam stepped in. "Paige I brought you up here to apologise to Y/N." Paige turned to Adam with her mouth wide open. "Well go on then" was all Adam said. She flicked her hair and left. On her way out she shouted "Adam you and I are over!" Adam just smiled.
You were  still so mad at him so you left the room too. You walked into the locker room. You just sat on a bench with your head in your hands. You felt someone's presence walk in. You then felt a hand on your back. You looked up to see Adam. "I'm surprised you didn't start swinging fists out there" he joked. You weren't in the mood to laugh but you still cracked a smile. You looked at Ruzek "Adam I'm sorry, I reall—" he interrupted you by crashing his lips onto yours. You were so mad at him but you couldn't resist him. You kissed back. Your lips moved in perfect sync when eventually you pulled away. You looked at him and he still has his eyes closed. "Screw it" you mumbled. You straddled him and placed your lips back on him. You were both sat making out on a bench in the locker room. After a while you pulled away. "Adam I don't think we can go back to being friends. It's too complicated" Adam smirked "good i don't want to be your friend" he said then pecked your lips. He laughed at your puzzled face. "Your little speech to me in the car hurt me. I'm so sorry I made you feel like that. You have always been my person. You will always be my person. I have a lot of making up to do and I will but just know that I really am sorry Y/N." You smiled at him and kissed his cheek. You went to get off him when he pulled you back down and said "I don't want to be friends. I want to be more" you didn't know what to say. Luckily you didn't have to say anything because Halstead walked in. "Woah that was a quick make up erm I'm gonna—" Jay was about to leave when you stopped him "jay hold up. I'm sorry about being blunt earlier, I know you were just trying to help" you gave him a hug.
The 3 of us made our way back into the office. Atwater breaks the silence and says "so are you back to being friends now?" You looked at Ruzek and smiled. "Nope. I think we might be more than that"

All Good Things Must Come To An End
A Modern Family Fanfic
It was 9:30 PM on a Wednesday. Gloria was just sitting on the couch watching TV with Jay. Life was normal; life was great. The TV had football on.
"Let's Go! C'mon!" Jay yelled while crushing the can of beer he had in his hand. The beer went flying all over the room.
"Goddamnit, why cant you just kick it correctly, you dumb motherfucker!" He profanely exclaimed.
"Jay, quiet it down a little, Joe is sleeping," Gloria told him.
The game was at 15-25. She could tell Jay was starting to get very angry quickly. She decided to get something from the fridge.
I might have to get something alcoholic myself if he doesn't stop shouting, Gloria thought.
Later that night, after all the drama with the football game, Jay fell asleep on the couch.
Finally, some time to myself, Gloria thought to herself.
She went upstairs to the bedroom, and grabbed the book she was in the middle of reading. It was Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters. As she started to read it, she also started to drift off to sleep. The book, falling out of her hands, dropped to the floor, closing itself up.
The next morning, she awoke to Jay shouting outside.
"C'mon...start, motherfucker!"
Gloria looked out the bedroom window, seeing him attempting to start the car.
"Why don't you just START?!" He quickly got angry.
"He really needs to stop getting as angry as he is; at his age, he might start developing high blood pressure," she said to herself quietly.
She went to the bathroom, and then walked outside to go assist her husband.
"Jay, what's the matter?"
"This car won't just FUCKING START!" He screamed so loud, Gloria could hear the echo in the sky.
"What can I do to help?" Gloria asked.
"There's nothing you can do. I just need you to call Mitch and Cam."
"They're out of town for the week" she told him.
"Oh, that's right. Well, why don't you call Phil; he's good at this kind of stuff," he responded.
Oh boy, the Dunphy's, she thought to herself. That family REALLY doesn't like me. It's bad enough Mitch and Cam think I'm a psychopath, but this family really doesn't like me... but it's for Jay.
As she walked to the landline nervously, she dialed the number. No response.
As she walked towards Jay, he immediately followed up with, "What'd they say?"
"They didn't pick up the phone,"
"Oh, of course, the time I need them most," Jay responded with a rather angry tone.
Later that afternoon, she tried to call again. Still nothing.
What the hell is going on? Gloria thought.
She was getting quite worried. But why? Her and the Dunphy's hate each other. Why would she be worried about them? Is it because of Jay? She was both confused and concerned. She dialed again. And again. And again.
"Gloria, they're not gonna answer, so just stop dialing," Jay called to her.
She didn't respond to him, and instead, turned the other way. She kept hearing something inside of her... a voice telling her, "Get your gun and get the fuck to their house."
She then went up the stairs and got the gun. She was equipped with a p99 with a bunch of magazines in her purse.
"Gloria, what the fuck is all this?" Jay asked, sounding very shocked.
"I gotta check on them. It's been six hours: something is obviously terribly wrong," she replied.
"But you don't even like each other!" He said.
She didn't have a response to that. Instead, she walked out the door. She called a taxi and told the driver the address, hiding all the ammo and the gun in her purse. When she got to the Dunphy's house, she made sure the driver went away, and then started looking through the window.
Nobody was home.
"Well, that explains everything," she said to herself.
She was startled by a scream.
"No, stop! LET ME GO, GODDAMNIT!"
It sounded like it came from a female, but she knew that some males sounded feminine. She started to notice that the door was barricaded shut.
Why would they do that? She asked in her head.
Jay started to call her phone. She declined the call and put her cell phone on silent. The voice that told her to pick up the gun came back to tell her to try to get into the house.
She attempted to bust open the door, but nothing happened. She tried the window. It eventually cracked open. She started to crawl in. She was worried that Claire, or someone else, was going to walk out with a shotgun and kill her, but nonetheless, her curiosity won against her worries and fears.
She started to approach the stairs, with her gun in her hand.
"Gloria, what are you doing here?" A young girl's voice spoke up from behind her.
Gloria turned quickly, panicking silently. She couldn't believe her eyes!
It was Haley.
Gloria hated her. She was the most selfish person she ever had the displeasure to meet.
"Oh, I just... uh-" she stuttered.
"Oh, you're here to help me kill my mom, aren't you? Oh, good! You're just the person I need for this," Haley said eagerly.
Gloria immediately knew all her bad feelings were correct, and she needed to play along in order for everyone, or at least, mostly everyone, to survive.
"Oh, yeah that's exactly what I came for!" Gloria replied nervously. She couldn't believe this was the truth as to why nobody answered the phone.
"Well, come on, she's right down here!"
Haley led Gloria to the basement. She saw Claire tied up, and she was absolutely horrified with her step-grandaughter. Claire was wrapped in rope and screamed under the piece of tape keeping her mouth shut.
"Gloria! Oh my God, what the fuck are you doing here?!" Claire cried. But to Gloria it only sounded like, "Mphm mphm!"
"This is exactly what you wanted, right Gloria? Your arch nemesis tied up, and we're gonna kill her... together!"
Gloria responded with, "Why exactly are you doing this?" Her accent faded out, as her voice cracked and she shook in fear and horror.
"Well, two things: One, I need to harvest her kidneys for money so me and Dylan can get some goods, and I thought while I'm in the process of getting them, I might as well harvest the kidneys of someone my best friend hates! This is all you ever wanted, right?"
Gloria hated the fact she said that.
"No," she responded quietly.
"No? But this is your enemy we're talking about here!" Haley responded.
"Y'know, just because Claire and I do not get along, does NOT mean I would EVER want this!" She shouted back, her accent kicking back in. "And for you to say we're 'best friends...'" She put up air quotes at the end of the sentence. "It sickens me who you are, Haley Dunphy."
"But we're best friends... you told me that!" Haley said, very shocked and hurt.
"Well I LIED. I was only using you for my benefit. You are the most selfish person I have ever met! I would never be friends with someone like you."
Haley, seeming very surprised, pulled put her 12 gauge and aimed it at her mother.
"Oh, is that so? Well, guess your so called best buddy is gonna have to go then, along with you."
Gloria pulled out the gun she brought with her. "I dont think so. That's not going to happen."
As Gloria aimed the handgun, with her heart pounding right up against her chest, she prepared to pull the pull the trigger. She couldn't believe what she was gonna do. She was going to kill a member of her family! But she knew it was necessary. It's for the safety of the rest of her family. It must be done.
Is this the right thing to do? She thought.
"Oh, nice Gloria! First you betray me, then you do this? You're a real good person, aren't you? You get to break into this house and wave your gun around, huh? Drop the goddamn gun!" Haley shouted out.
Haley aimed her gun right at Claire's temple. Gloria put down the gun as a last resort to make sure she didn't get Claire killed.
"That's right. Now, get on your knees, now." Haley said, more calm.
She aimed the 12 gauge at Gloria's chest now, preparing to shoot.
"Well Gloria, it could've been Claire only, but now its gotta be the both of you," Haley said. "This wouldn't have happened if you just minded your own damn business."
"Claire's safety IS my business," Gloria shot back.
Haley chuckled. "But yet you hate that woman, and you CARE about her? Now that's just hilarious."
Gloria noticed how Claire looked concerned about Gloria. "I don't hate her; she hates me. She thinks what I do is bad, and that is debatable. But even after all this, even though I've tried to get back at her, I would NEVER want this to happen."
"Well, isn't that just touching... but that doesn't change a thing..." Haley leaned the shotgun further into her step-grandmother's chest. Gloria's heart was pounding so hard, Haley could feel the vibration coming from the shotgun barrel...
An idea occured to Gloria.
"Look over there!" She cried, pointing to a corner of the room.
"What?" Haley turned to look.
Taking advantage of her destraction, Gloria knocked the shotgun out of her hands and threw a series of punches at Haley, disarming her completely. She crawled to the shotgun, her hands just on it... but Gloria had just grabbed her P99 and pulled the trigger at Haley's head.
She was dead.
Claire screamed under the tape. Gloria untied her and ripped the tape off her mouth.
"Claire, I'm so sorry you had to witness that. You shouldn't have had to witness your daughter die in front of your eyes, but you're safe now," Gloria said sympathetically. She then gave Claire a big hug. "I know you hate me, but I would never ask for this."
"No, I don't hate you Gloria..." Claire managed to say with a shaky voice. "I understand your point of view now. You're not a gold digger... you're just a mother trying to protect your kids and family. And the fact you saved my life proved that to me... thank you..." After these words left her mouth, she was left shaking and crying.
"We'll call Phil, Alex, and Luke, tell them everything, and then we'll call the police. The four of you can stay with us." Gloria said softly.
Claire nodded, and the two walked up the stairs holding onto each other.

Too Far
A/N: part of my little series that started with Family that I have going on, you dont really need to read them for this to make sense but it would probably help. (its in my masterlist if you wanna read them)
You had just gotten home with the other kids when Sky said she was going to go out for a little bit with a friend. You didn’t think much of it and told her to be back by dinner.
You helped the others with their homework and they helped you with cleaning, it was a win win for everyone. Ethan wasn’t getting home until late anyways so you started dinner and decided to leave him a plate for later.
You were finishing up dinner when Sky came back in and said hello to the others. You were about to ask her to help you to set the table when Connor, your thirteen year old offered to come help you.
He helped you carry the plates over to the table and take the younger ones to wash their hands. He may be thirteen, but he was already your height and you knew he would just keep growing.
Once everyone was seated, they all started talking about their day. The boys were talking to each other about something at school during class when Sky called you.
“Hey mom?”
“Hm? Yes? You pulled your attention away to focus on her.
“Can I go to a concert on Friday?” She seemed nervous as she asked you.
“With who? You know we don’t want you going alone,” it’s not that you didn’t trust her, she was more than responsible, it was everyone else who you had a hard time trusting.
“With a friend,” she looked away and went back to cutting up her food.
“A friend? Which one?”
“You don’t know him,” she wouldn’t look your way. She knew you liked to meet her friends especially if she was going to be out at night with them.
“Then no Sky, you know the rules. If we haven’t met them it’s not happening, I’m sorry,” you didn’t want to tell her no, but that was the rule you and Ethan had set up a long time ago. You had to have met them at least once before they could go out at night with them.
“You’re not being fair! Why can’t I go? I’m seventeen, You can’t keep treating me like a baby!” But she was wrong. While you might not still treat her like a baby, she was always going to be the little girl who you found crying in the pasta aisle all those years ago.
“Sky calm down. I said no, that’s it.” You weren’t trying to fight with her.
“Mom please!” The other kids had stopped their conversation and were now focused on what was unfolding in front of them.
“No Skylar! You can’t go! If it was someone we knew then sure but we dont! I’m not trusting you with someone we’ve never met! So you’re not going to the concert end of discussion!”
“Mom! Oh wait, I forgot. You’re not even my real mom so why should I have to listen to you?” She stood up from her seat.
“Sky enough.” Not this again. You were never one to shut out your children’s feelings or thoughts but this was enough.
“No! You we’re just some random lady who was desperate for someone to care about! I bet dad would have left you a long time ago if you finally kept your legs closed! I’m tired of you telling me what to do Y/n!”
“Skylar!” Connor tried to defend you but you were silenced.
Silence.
That’s all there was after that. Sky knew she went too far but she was stubborn like her father and wouldn’t be the first one to admit she was in the wrong.
“Go to your room. Now.” You stayed looking down at your plate, appetite completely gone now. You heard her stomp up the stairs and heard her door slam.
“Mom?” Connor put his hand on your shoulder and that’s when he felt your shoulders gently shaking.
“Con, can you put everyones plates in the sink for me when they’re done? I’ll wash them later,” you took a deep breath and gently stood.
“Mom-”
“Please, Connor,” with that you went to your room and finally let out the sobs you were holding back.
You never forgot the first time Sky called you mom.
Ethan was working late and it was just you and Sky for the night. You made spaghetti since you knew the little girl liked slurping on the noodles. After cleaning her small messy face, you played a few games. You had gone to tuck her into bed when she stopped you.
“Story?” She pointed towards the small bookshelf that her uncle had made for her.
“We can read a story. Which one?” She got up and went to pull a book from the shelf. She brought over Goodnight Moon to you. You two cuddled up in her tiny bed and began reading to her.
Sky looked at each picture with her big hazel eyes and never seemed to lose interest in the story, no matter how many times you read it to her. Once you finished the book, you placed it on the nightstand to put away and laid there for a bit with her.
“I want you to know that you’re my Sky, and you’re my moon, always baby,” you placed a gentle kiss on her head before getting out of bed. You put the book back in its place and started walking towards the door.
You turned back to make sure she was okay before you turned off the light and saw her still looking at you. Usually she was snuggled up under her blanket half asleep but there she was.
“What’s wrong?”
“Hug please,” you smiled and went back to the little girl before wrapping your arms around her. Once she finally let go she curled up under her blanket and brought her stuffed dog closer to her. You stood back up when you heard her call to you one more time.
“Goodnight mommy,” you felt tears welling up and a smile came to your face immediately.
“Goodnight baby,” you gave her one last kiss before leaving her room and turning off her light and closing the door.
Mommy. That was the first time she had ever called you that.
Half an hour later, Ethan came home to find you in the bedroom with tears still coming down your face.
“Hey, what’s wrong? What happened?” He rushes over to your side and knelt next to you.
“Nothing it’s just… Sky called me mommy today.” You finally looked up at him and he wiped away a few tears.
“Oh-“
“And I know we never talked about that and if that was okay or not. But I started thinking and what if her mom comes back? What if she wants to be part of her life and having another mom just confuses Sky even more? I don’t want to do that to her, she’s so little-“
“Babe, breathe. It’s okay. It’s okay she called you mommy as long as you’re comfortable with it. I know we never talked about it, but I’m in it for the long haul. And if she ever does come back, she’s not calling her mom. She’s a stranger to her, she doesn’t deserve that title of being her mom.” He knew you were always worried about her coming back and trying to see Sky but you never really said anything until now. He made sure there was never a chance that woman would be part of Sky’s life.
“So it’s okay that she called me that?”
“It’s more than okay,” you two shared a kiss before he went to get ready for bed.
Ethan came home at 10 to find his son doing dishes while the rest of the house was quiet. Sure, Connor had helped do dishes before but he was always helping you, never alone.
“Where’s your mom, bud?”
“Her room.” His son wouldn’t even look at him. He quickly tried to remember if there was anything special about today that he might have forgotten about but nothing.
“What’s wrong?”
“Ask your daughter.” He stayed with his back still turned to his father.
“Hey, she’s your sister and you know that.”
“Not when she yells at my mom she’s not.” He threw the plate onto the counter and Ethan flinched at hearing the sound, surprised it didn’t break.
“What do you mean she yelled at your mom?” Sky loved you and sure you two had your arguments nothing was ever this bad.
“She told her she’s not her mom and that the only reason you haven’t left her yet is because ‘she can’t keep her legs closed.’ So yeah dad, she’s not my sister right now.” Ethan knew how protective Connor was of you and he shouldn’t be surprised how he was acting. Connor would always take your side no matter what.
“I’ll go talk to her. I know you’re upset but please don’t take it out on your moms plates.” Connor simply nodded before getting back to the dishes. Ethan took that as his signal to leave.
He headed into your shared bedroom to find the shower on in the connecting bathroom.
“Y/n?” When you didn’t answer he walked further in and saw you sitting on the shower floor, the water doing very little to hide the sounds of your crying.
“Oh babe, come on,” he turned off the water and grabbed the towel you left hanging nearby. He helped you stand and wrapped you up before leading you back to the bedroom. He waited a bit for you to calm down before trying to talk to you.
“Connor told me what happened, and I’m so sorry about what happened. I’m gonna talk to her-“
“How long has she thought that?” You cut him off. “How long has it been since she really saw me as her mom? This whole time? Recently? Did I do something that made her see me differently? I’ve always treated her as my own haven’t I? I don’t understand what I did wrong… if she doesn’t want to call me mom she doesn’t have to but I just… why does it hurt so much?” Ethan heart broke at hearing you question your relationship with the little girl who you helped raise.
“You didn’t do anything wrong, Y/n. You’ve been a wonderful mother to her and the others. Sky loves you so much, you have to know that. She got upset, I’m gonna talk to her okay, it’s gonna be okay.” You nodded your head and he gave you one of his shirts to change into.
“I think I’m gonna go to bed now, I’m exhausted,” with that you laid down, ready to just pass out.
Once you were asleep, Ethan left to go talk to Sky, carefully closing the door behind him before heading upstairs to her room. As he passed the kitchen, he noticed how clean the kitchen was and let out a small laugh and shook his head. Connor was a lot like you and one thing he definitely got from you was stress cleaning. He made a mental note to check on him in the morning.
“It’s dad, can I come in?” He knocked on her door and headed in when he heard her let out a quiet ‘yeah.’
“Dad can I go to a concert on Friday?” She looked at him with her puppy dog eyes that usually had her dad saying yes to whatever it was she wanted.
“No. I already know mom said no.”
“She’s not my-“
“Skylar don’t you dare finish that sentence.” She was shocked. Her dad never talked to her this way.
“She has been the one to care for you since she came into our lives. She’s done nothing but love you and you know that. And because she told you no to something even though you know damn well what the rules are, you pull the ‘not my real mom’ card on her? You should be glad she’s not your ‘real’ mom.
“That woman left you the second she could. As soon as the hospital cleared her, she was gone. No explanation other than that she didn’t want you. You want that woman in your life? She never even held you! You know why you haven’t heard from her? Because she doesn’t want any of this. She could have called if she wanted to but she never did, but you know what? You know who stepped up?
“Dad I-“ Sky knew she fucked up earlier but hearing her dad say all of this is making her realize how bad she fucked up.
“Y/n stepped up when she didn’t have to. She took care of the little girl who kept wandering off at stores and made sure she was safe. She dropped what she was doing to pick you up from school when I couldn’t be there. She agreed to move here even though she never planned to leave California because she agreed it would be better for you and your siblings to be here in Jersey. She left everything she knew for you guys. She always felt scared about being your stepmom for this exact reason and it took years to make her feel like she wasn’t just a replacement. I can understand if you don’t want to call her mom, but I’m not going to let you be rude and disrespectful towards her. You’re grounded for a month and you’re apologizing to her tomorrow. Understood?”
“Yeah… dad I’m sorry.” Sky had tears in her eyes, not from how her father was getting mad at her, but from his words. She felt awful about what she said to you.
“I’m not the one you need to apologize to.” He said goodnight to her before closing the door and leaving Sky to her thoughts.
The next morning Sky headed downstairs to find you already rushing out of the house. She glanced at the clock and saw you were already late and when she caught your eye, she could see the pain behind them.
“I have to go, bye you guys,” you closed the door and off you went. Sky went into the kitchen to find Connor helping make breakfast and was serving plates. She also noticed that there wasn’t one for her.
“None for me?” She wrapped an arm around her younger brother only for him to shove her off.
“Connor be nice to your sister,” Ethan scolded him when he saw what was happening.
“Not my sister.” He took his and a few other plates to the table for the others.
“Con…” she felt her heart break and hearing him talk to her like that. She loved her little brother so much and to hear that hurt her more than she thought it would. During breakfast he wouldn’t even look at her, much less pay her any attention.
“Hey don’t worry about him, it’ll be fine.” Ethan tried to comfort her once he saw how hurt she looked when he said that. She simply nodded and went back to picking at her food.
Later that night, dinner was just as tense, if not more since you came home. You hardly said a word to anyone, mostly just the younger kids.
Sky excused herself and placed her plate in the sink before going back to her room. She caused all of this because she couldn’t take no for an answer from the woman who cared about her whole life. Her dad was upset with her. You wouldn’t look at her. And even her little brother hated her now. She laid face down on her bed and allowed herself to cry. Her head was hanging off the side of the bed when she turned and saw something peaking out from under her bed.
The vanilla candle you got her when she ran off to you in the candle shop and her beat up copy of Goodnight Moon were sticking out from underneath. The candle was hardly used, even after all these years. She would only use it when you weren’t there to tuck her in and she would ask her dad to light it while he read to her. It was her reminder of you.
She knew you loved her. She knew how much you cared about her and Sky was so grateful for everything you’ve done for her. She remembers you being there when she woke up scared in the hospital when she got sick. She remembered you sewing up her stuffed dog multiple times because she really dragged that thing everywhere with her when she was younger. She thought of the time she cut your hair and you ended up with this awful bob and you never complained once. And every time a new baby came home you made sure to still give her time to let her now she was still just as loved and important.
And she threw it all back in your face.
She grabbed the book and got up from bed and went to go look for you in the kitchen only to find you gone.
“She’s in the room,” Ethan told her and she mumbled out a quick thank you to him. Sky walked in and saw you laying there with your eyes closed, not sleeping but just taking a moment for yourself. She quietly walked closer and crawled on the bed next to you before laying her head on your shoulder.
“I’m so sorry, I don’t care if I didn’t come from you, I love you so much. I’m sorry about what I said, I didn’t mean it. We love you so much, I love you and dad loves you even more, I shouldn’t have said what I did.” She was sobbing and you wrapped your arms around her. It was getting harder to understand what she was saying with how much she was crying.
“Sky-“
“I’m so sorry, please don’t be mad at me anymore. I’m sorry mommy,” she buried her head in your chest and continued to cry while you brushed back her hair.
“It’s okay baby, it’s okay. I know you were just upset,” you felt her wrap her arms around you even tighter. After a few minutes she eventually calmed down and loosened her grip on you and that’s when you noticed the book. She reached behind her and grabbed it before handing it to you.
“Please?” While she was definitely too old for bedtime stories, you understood what this meant for her. She wouldn’t let her siblings borrow the book because it was always hers and yours. Her bringing you the book was her olive branch to you.
“Of course,” you took the book that was being held together by layers of tape and began reading to her. When you finished, you closed it and put it on the nightstand next to you.
“Hey, you’re always going to be my Sky and my moon okay? Nothing you do is ever going to change that,” you placed a kiss on her head and she snuggled into your side even more. The two of you just laid there together and you felt her breathing even out and you knew she was asleep.
When Ethan came into the room an hour later, he found the two of you passed out together on the bed with Sky practically crushing you but you didn’t seem bothered. He snapped a quick picture and posted it.
No matter how old they get, they’re always going to be your baby.
That night he went to bed with two of his girls with him and he knew everything was going to be okay between you two and that was enough for him.

Sincerely, Me (Chapter 2)
Series: Part 1/Previous Chapter/Next Chapter
To Single Scoop: i stg if this mom doesnt chill tf out i will find where she lives and fight her
Connor has no idea how to text people unless he is asking for weed. It took him a while to actually show that he wants to have a conversation over text while he was texting Evan. There was a lot of back and forth between the two over the past month where Evan would ask if he was annoying Connor or telling Connor that he didn’t have to talk to him if he didn’t want to.
Then he figured out that Evan liked when Connor randomly ranted to him, so that’s what he was doing now. He was watching Say Yes to the Dress and texting Evan, who was the only person in his life who knew that he liked TLC shows, specifically Say Yes to the Dress.
To Single Scoop: SHES CRYING NOW AND THE MOM STILL WONT BUDGE
To Single Scoop: thats it
To Single Scoop: im flying to georiga. Ill see you later evan
From Single Scoop: I know you have that ability so please dont
To Single Scoop:  like my parents would let me
From Single Scoop: Find something nice in Georgia that your mom would love to see. I’m sure that will get her going
To Single Scoop:  well which is it hansen
To Single Scoop: should i go punch this lady in the face or no
From Single Scoop: Definite no
It is nice that Connor has someone to talk to when these shows get really stupid and make him want to fight the people. Usually he would say it to himself and just have conversations with himself, but then he eventually stopped because who the hell has conversations with themselves? Sad loners like Connor, that’s who.
Connor watched as the bride stared at herself in the mirror, teary-eyed and listening to her mother try and stop her daughter from buying the dress.
“Listen to your heart,” Randy said. “Do you picture yourself walking down the aisle in this?”
“Yes,” the bride whispered. Connor anxiously watched it all go down. The mother was trying one last argument to get her daughter to not put on the dress.
“Are you saying yes to this dress?” “Yes!” Connor cheered along with the bride and consultants, and flipped off the TV has the mother said that she was upset.
To Single Scoop: oh good the bride won
From Single Scoop: With Randy on her side, how could she not
Connor laughed. Evan knew the show enough that Randy was the end-all for brides. No one could win in an argument with him.
To Single Scoop: true
Connor heard keys turning in the front door. He cursed under his breath.
To Single Scoop: shit
To Single Scoop: my mom is home
To Single Scoop: i have to go to my bed and pretend to get some sleep
To Single Scoop: night
Connor turned off the TV and put the Amazon fire stick back where it’s supposed to be before running upstairs before his mother entered the living room and saw that he wasn’t awake.
Usually he wouldn’t care if she saw him up this late, but he doesn’t want to hear her complain that he isn’t getting any sleep and then get in another fight because he won’t tell her what's wrong. He’ll tell her when he knows that she will actually get him the help that he wants.
He quietly shut his door as he heard his parents talking downstairs. He was quick to get under the covers and plug his phone in, feigning that he has been asleep the whole time.
His mom came in to check on him like she does every night. Connor could tell she was standing at his door for a while, and just as she was going to leave, Connor’s phone went off.
Connor mentally cursed. Of course Evan had to text him back right now.
His mom
“Connor? Are you awake?” she asked. Connor wondered if he should keep pretending, but at this point, he didn’t care anymore.
“Yeah,” he grunted.
“Who texted you?”
“A friend.” For the first time, this was actually the truth.
“What friend has a name of ‘Single Scoop’?” She was looking at his phone? Connor snapped his head up to see her holding his phone, arms crossed.
“It’s a nickname.”
“What does it mean?”
“It’s just a nickname, mom, it doesn’t need a reasoning!”
“What’s going on?” he heard his dad call.
“Oh, great, let’s just bring the whole family in!” Connor snapped.
“Connor, we’re just wondering who you’re texting!”
Larry walked into Connor’s room, obviously tired and confused.
“It’s just a friend! His name is Evan! It’s a surprise that your fucked up son can actually make friends!”
“Connor!” Connor ignored her and threw his blanket over his head. He knew he wouldn’t be able to escape with Larry at the door, so he might as well just pretend they aren’t there.
“Just check his messages, Cynthia,” he heard Larry mumble. That caused Connor to sit back up in his bed in a fit of anger.
“You guys check my fucking messages?!”
“Connor, we only do it because we want to make sure you’re okay.”
“No!” he yelled. “There should be no fucking reason you check my fucking messages!”
“We just need to make sure you aren’t lying to us,” Larry deadpanned.
“That’s a breach of my fucking privacy!”
“You haven’t done anything to show us that we can trust you with privacy.”
“You know what,” Connor snapped. “Fine! Fucking take it!”
“Don’t raise your voice at us!” Larry snapped. Connor said nothing in response, just laid down and blocked them out. They both eventually left, leaving Connor alone with his thoughts.
---
Connor hadn’t calmed down from the night before. His parents had discussed if he should still be allowed to have his car, but after realizing that Zoe had band practice, he was still allowed to drive himself to school.
“Were you really talking to Evan?” Zoe asked when she saw him in the morning. Connor turned and raised an eyebrow.
“When?”
“Last night, when mom and dad went into your room.” Connor turned away. He grabbed the milk that his mom had left on the counter and poured himself a glass.
“Yeah.”
“Really?” He gave her a side glare.
“What, do you not believe me either?” Zoe shrugged. She crossed her arms and leaned against the counter.
“You never made friends before this, so it is hard to believe that someone could really want to talk to you.”
“Wow, tell me how you really feel,” he sarcastically mumbled.
“I’m just saying, from what I know about Evan, he’s way too nice to be talking to you.”
“And you’re way too nice to be related to me, but here we fucking are.” He downed the rest of the milk in his glass and slammed his cup down on the counter. “Now if you excuse me, I have to get to school so I can continue to be judged.”
On the drive to the school, all of Connor’s thoughts were of Evan and why he was friends. After Connor figured out that he liked men instead of women, Evan was one of the first classmates that he decided was attractive, but he never pursued anything. No one would talk to him, and everytime Evan saw him he had a look of terror. After getting to know the boy, he realised he gave everyone the same look.
Even now that they are friends, Connor is not letting himself get his hopes up. He knows that Evan has a crush on his sister, and most likely doesn’t like boys. Even if he did like boys, there was no way he would like Connor more than a friend. It’s a surprise that he even likes him as a friend, as many people like to constantly remind him.
By the time he pulled into the school parking lot, he had successfully put himself into an even worse mood than he was before. He would just sneak off to go smoke, but Evan would be worried if he didn’t show up, and he doesn’t have his phone to text him, so he just had to deal with the day.
Connor realized that was going to be harder than he thought when he stood at his locker. People were walking by him, not even watching to see if they would bump into him, and would even sometimes almost close his locker while he was doing something.
“Hey Connor,” he heard a voice mumble. Connor snapped his head to the side and shot a glare at the kid who decided to bother him.
Which happened to Evan.
“What?” he snapped out of instinct. He immediately regretted it. He saw Evan flinch and take a small step back, as if he was trying to get out of Connor’s range and hide.
“Well you seem like you’re in a bad mood so I wanted to come over and see if you’re okay but you barely know me so I don’t know why you would even want to talk to me about it. I’m sorry I should’ve have even come over, I’ll leave, I’m sorry.” He wasn’t even looking Connor in the eyes as he stuttered out that sentence. Of course that would freak him out. Connor sighed and it his head against the top of his locker, wishing that he could just knock himself out or restart the day.
“No, I didn’t mean to snap at you. You did nothing wrong.” That was the closest he could get to saying sorry. Once he learned that people never really cared if they made him feel bad, he quickly learned to stop caring if he made them feel bad. Though, by being around Evan and having a slight crush on the boy, he realized that was going to have to change if he wanted to keep him in his life.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to tell me,” he heard Evan mumble. Connor spared a glance to the side.
Evan did care. He really, truly cared about why Connor was upset, and that wasn’t something Connor was used to. He knew that in order for them to get closer he would have to let his walls down a little bit, but he was afraid to. One of the few things he was actually afraid of. He’s going to have to get over that.
“My parents took my fucking phone last night because they didn’t believe that I was texting someone other than a fucking drug dealer,” he started out calmly. He didn’t want to look at Evan as he spoke, though he felt the anger coming back very quickly. “ I told them that no goddamn drug dealer would be answering fucking calls at that hour because they were trying to act like normal fucking people but they took my phone anyway!”
He slammed his locker shut and saw Evan jump out of the corner of his eye. He knew that there were kids who were giving him weird looks in the hallway, but he couldn’t find himself to care. He just lied to Evan about what he was talking to his parents about. Why? Who knows. Maybe it’s easier to be a druggie in this school than a kid who actually cares.
“They don’t believe a fucking thing I say and it pisses me off because I was actually telling the truth this time!”
It was silent between the two. Connor wasn’t upset about that. He knew that Evan most likely had no idea how to deal with the extreme emotions that Connor feels, as he can barely handle his own anxiety.
“I’m sorry. That’s–That, um, sucks.”
“Understatement of the fucking century,” Connor grumbled.
He heard the first bell ring, signaling that Connor had five minutes to get to his class. He just couldn’t deal with it today. With his parents, his sister, and his own thoughts, he knew he wouldn’t be able to focus in class anyway. Having an unexcused absence would be better than being sent down to the officer for not paying attention.
Connor turned towards the doors that were placed at the end of the hallway and started making his way to them.
“Wait, where are you going?” he heard Evan call after him.
“Anywhere but fucking here,” Connor called back before pushing open the double doors.
He stomped over to his truck, hands shoved in his pockets and his eyes downcast. He had no idea where he wanted to go, but he knew that he had to go somewhere private so he can smoke weed without getting caught.
---
Connor realized as soon as he got to the closed orchard that he always somehow ended up at that his parents cleaned out his car. Every bit of it.
Which means that they found his weed stash in the and most likely threw it away.
Connor drove to the one place that actually calms him down and brings him peace–the abandoned orchard.
When Connor was younger and not on drugs, his parents would always take him and Zoe here. They would have picnics, play games, go on hikes, and even camp one time. It was when his parents weren’t fighting with him or each other, and he and Zoe actually loved each other like siblings should. The year the orchard closed was also the year Connor’s depression seemed to peak. That was when he started getting into weed to be happy, fighting with his parents, and trying to do anything to either shorten or end his life.
Nothing has really gotten better, even after the counseling, the rehab, and all the drugs in the world, Connor was still struggling. He started coming back and sneaking into the orchard when it was getting hard again, and it always calmed him down. You would think going back to the place when his family was happy would make him sad, but it actually gave him the ability to forget everything about his life for a short while.
As he walked around, the took the time to look up into the trees, up to the sky that was shining bright. Connor was almost glad he wasn’t high so he could see this all through clear eyes.
A thought popped into his head. He remember Evan talking to him about his apprenticeship with the forest rangers, and how much he loved nature and trees. Has he ever been here?
Quickly looking at his phone, Connor cursed at the time. He started jogging back to his truck so he can pick Evan up from school in time.
---
Luckily Connor didn’t need to go inside to find Evan. Evan had started walking home and Connor had seen the back of his backpack before he turned into the school parking lot. He stepped of the gas and pulled up to the shoulder a little ahead of where Evan was walking. Evan didn’t look up from the ground and instead kept walking.
“Evan!” Connor called out of his passenger window. No response. Connor was tempted to try again, but he knew that the boy couldn’t hear him.
He honked the horn of his truck. Evan’s head snapped up and he looked directly at Connor.
Success.
Evan pulled out his headphones while giving Connor a confused look.
“Connor?” he asked.
“Get in, Hansen,” Connor called. Evan didn’t question or hesitate, just walked through the grass dividing the sidewalk from the street and hopped into Connor’s car. Connor wasn’t sure on whether he should be happy that Evan asked no questions or upset.
Connor pulled back into the street as soon as Evan closed the passenger door, excited to show his friend the orchard.
It was silent for the beginning of the ride. Connor realized that Evan might be worried that Connor is still mad. He’s not, but there was no way for Evan to be able to tell. He also snapped at Evan this morning and Evan may be waiting for an apology.
“I didn’t mean to flip out on you earlier,” he stated. Not quite an apology, but a month ago, Connor would have just moved on without a second glance at a person’ feelings.
“I know,” Evan mumbled. It was silent again after that.
“Have you ever been to the orchard?” Connor asked.
“What orchard?” Connor silently cheered victory in his head.
“So I’ll take that as a no.”
Connor explain what the orchard was to Evan so he wouldn’t be too freaked out that COnnor was bringing him to some abandoned place.
They eventually got onto the topic of bands and singers that they like. Connor was shocked when Evan said that he liked Taylor Swift before she started pop and did not miss an opportunity to make fun of him. Evan retaliated by stating that one of his favorite bands wasn’t popular and they continued to bicker back and forth.
Connor loved it. He never really got to playfully make fun of someone without the other person that he was actually being mean. There had been many times that Connor tried playfully making fun of Zoe, but she always got mad and it would escalate into a fight, so he stopped trying. It was nice to have a friend who knew he wasn’t being mean.
They pulled up to the orchard. Connor parked his car in the parking lot that was placed out front.
“Uh, what are we, uh, doing here?” Evan asked, a slight shake in his voice.
“We’re gonna walk around.”
“W-Wait, what?”
“Come on, Hansen,” Connor pushed. He exited the truck and walked towards the gate, heading towards the cut in the fence he made so that he can go back and forth without being caught.
“We can’t go in!” Connor heard Evan call. Connor rolled his eyes. No Trespassing signs only mean something when the government was actually taking care of it.
“Trust me, it’s fine.”
“What if someone finds us? What if they see your car and come searching and then we get in trouble? What if we get arrested? I can’t have my mom bail me out of jail, and your parents won’t--”
“Evan!” Connor snapped and turned around. “It’s fine. I come here all the time. I was just here earlier, and no one found me. No one even thinks about this place anymore.”
Connor watched Evan nod his head and avert his eyes down to the ground. Connor mentally cursed He couldn’t even get a grip on his anger long enough to show Evan a place that meant a lot to him.
Connor took a deep breath.
“Just… Come on. You can trust me.”
He started walking to the fence, occasionally checking back to make sure that Evan was still following him.
Connor pushed the piece of fence he cut open back and stepped to the side, motioning Evan to go through. Evan ducked his head and climbed through with Connor following right after.
Connor stood up and brushed the dirt off of his pants, and when he looked up, he wasn’t shocked to see Evan holding his cast and looking around in shock.
“This place got closed down after they opened up the park as a national park,” Connor answered his unasked question. “Apparently people feel like going to a national park would be more fun than an orchard, even though it’s the same fucking thing.”
Connor walked past Evan and into the trees. He knew he wanted to show Evan the field that he and his family always hung out at. The grass was close to being overgrown and at this time of day, the trees might be blocking the sun, but it was still Connor’s favorite place.
“So homecoming’s coming up,” Connor stated. “You going?”
“Well, uh, probably not?” Not a big shock.
“Even if a cute girl asked you out?” Connor laughed, though he cringed on the inside. His crush on his friend may mean nothing, but it still hurt just a bit to picture Evan with a girl.
“If someone asked me out, that’d be a shock in itself.” Connor chuckled.
“Fair enough.”
“What about you?” Evan continued. “You going?”
“No.” Connor shook his head. “No way.”
“Not even if a girl asks you?” Connor had to stop himself at that one.
“There’s no girl that could make me go to any dance.” He heard Evan hum.
“What if your crush asked you?” Connor stiffened up.
That was a thought. Connor could imagine Evan anxiously approaching him after school, playing with the bottom of his shirt, asking him to homecoming. Stuttering over the fact that Connor could say no and that he was sorry for ruining their friendship before Connor would pull him into a hug and say yes. He could imagine them going to the dance and ditching in the first thirty minutes, going to Á La Mode instead. He could imagine him taking Evan back home, walking him to his door to wish him good night. Connor could easily lean down—
“There is a girl you like, right?” Evan continued. Connor mentally pushed away that fantasy. He gave Evan a quick side glance and coughed, hoping to hide the blush that was probably making its way up on his face.
“Yeah. A girl…” He trailed off and left it there. Evan seemed to understand that Connor didn’t want to be pushed, so they fell back into silence.
Connor watched all the trees past, looking for the opening he needed. Once it came into view, Connor stopped in his tracks.
“We’re here.” He looked at Evan to see the boy giving him a confused look.
“Wait, where?”
“Look,” he motioned to the gap in the trees. Evan gave him a side glance before walking towards the area where Connor motioned. Connor let him get a head a bit before he started following.
He saw Evan standing a bit farther than he thought he would be, looking around in awe. He stared at the trees, hands grasping the little bit of grass that his hand could reach. Connor watched grass blow around him and sun illuminate his figure just enough where he wasn’t just a shadow.
“I assume you like it?” he called. Evan turned around, and oh god, his eyes were shining. It was the cutest thing he has ever seen.
Connor needed to get this crush under control.
“Connor, this—this is amazing! How did you find it?”
“I was just walking around one day and found it.” He didn’t want Evan to feel bad that this was the last place his family was truly happy, or feel like he was intruding on something he shouldn’t.
He watched as Evan turned back at take everything in again. Connor realized he had a smile on his face.
“You said you like to climb trees, right?” Connor asked. He walked over so he was standing next to Evan, though now that he was closer, he could almost feel Evan stiffen.
“Um, yeah,” he stuttered. Connor didn’t pay any attention to it.
“Come on. There’s a tree with really low branches.” Connor started walking towards the tree. It was easy for Connor to find it as it stuck out from the rest of the trees, obviously there for children or teens who would love to climb more.
“I—I don’t think I can climb right now,” he heard Evan call. Connor turned and gave him a confused look.
“Why not?” Evan held up his cast. Connor stared at the cast in questioning before it clicked. He has an unusable arm that would prevent him from climbing. “Fuck, that’s right. I’m a moron.”
“Sorry,” Evan mumbled.
“Why are you sorry?” There was absolutely no reason for Evan to be sorry. He wished that didn’t get on his nerves as much as it did.
“You wanted to climb the tree, and I can’t.” Connor sighed and shook his head.
“That’s not your fault, man.” Evan nodded his head and wouldn’t look Connor in the eyes. Connor pursed his lips. There was no reason for Evan to be upset and he wished there was a way he could show the boy that.
Suddenly Evan reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Connor watched him as he looked at the screen and cursed.
Connor walked over and looked over Evan’s shoulder to see who it was.
“Kleinman? What does that fucker want?” Connor growled.
“I forgot I was supposed to hang out with him today.” Connor watched as he hit enter and took a few steps away, probably hoping for a private conversation.
“I’m sorry, I was walking home but Connor wanted to hang out—”
Connor didn’t want to listen. That alone was going to make Jared think that Connor had kidnapped Evan, or at least threatened him. He started picking at his nail polish, ignoring the side of the conversation he can hear.
He should really paint his nails again.
“I’m sorry Connor, can we—”
“Yeah, we can go back,” Connor snapped. He was hoping to have a bit more alone time with Evan, but of course, Jared fucking Kleinman had to come in a ruin that.
“Sorry, this was fun, but—”
“I know.” Connor turned and forced a smile on his face, hoping that Evan understood that he wasn’t mad at him. “You and Jared had plans. Nothing wrong with that.”
Connor started walking away, not waiting to see if Evan was following him.
“Thank you for taking me here,” Evan said as soon as they got into Connor’s truck.
“Yeah. We can come back.” Connor turned to look at Evan and saw that he was looking at his lap, a smile on his face. Connor quickly turned back to the road, heart fluttering as he hears many classmates say.
Evan was actually happy to hang out with Connor, and Connor made him smile.
Getting a hold on this crush may be harder than he thought.

you’re my favourite constellation.
stargazing!au, friends to lovers with han jisung
Tumblr media
(this giF IM SCREAMING CUTIE)
request from @straybin: Can I request a stray kids jisung friends to lovers star gazing au! Your aus are super sweet I loved the seungmin one!
(thank you so much ily 💝💓💖💕💞💘💗)
alright lets get straight into it
so youre a highschool student with an affinity for astrology, like, you love it
for your birthdays you get astrology books and maps and even once a really cool telescope!!
its just what you love, okay?
anyway, recently youd moved in with your cousin who lived alone and needed a roommate, plus it was closer to your school than your own home.
you parents practically shoved you in there with short notice (at least they were paying rent and grocery expenses) and you were like well okay
you didnt mind your cousin at all, but she can be a bit excitable and overbearing sometimes but you have to deal with it really
“dUDE i gotta show you something follow me”
you were unpacking when your cousin said this, you set down your telescope and followed her out the front door. your cousin lived in an apartment block basically, she was on the third story out of five. there was a very cute young family across the hall from you guys n stuff
anyway she kept going up and up these stairs and you were like where the fUck are we going im so tired
she laughed and said you were almost there and proceeded to push open a big heavy door
wow
you were in complete awe
in front of you was a massive open roof, the setting sun and the wide sky completely in view from all points, and when you looked up? oh my god it just seemed so clear
“you like stargazing dont you? youre allowed to come up here all you want as long as you dont make a ruckus yeah?”
you agreed, smiling W I D E and attacking your cousin in a hug
like,, two weeks later?
you still hadnt gone stargazing on the roof yet
on top of moving in and mid term school, it was a struggle to deal with so you just didnt have the time at the moment
untillll you had a falling out with a friend. it wasnt anything too serious but a few hurtful truths were said and the added stress of everything else going on, it was just overwhelming
so when you got home that afternoon, you packed a small box with your telescope, your notebook and pens, a couple of your astrology study books and two big blankets
then, after you made and ate dinner with your cousin, you made a big cup of hot chocolate (or coffee or tea or a moccha, whatever you prefer) and told your cousin you were going upstairs and youd probably be back late so youd take a key in case she was asleep
your cousin agreed and watched you balance the massive mug and your box in your hands and also the two big pillows you spontaneously grabbed as you walked out
arriving on the roof, you laid everything out, not bothering to set up your telescope just yet and you sat back sipping your hot drink
you didnt know when you started to cry but it happened, and soon enough you where silent sobbing on your own letting out a few sniffles here and there. life was just too busy and overwhelming at the moment
it was about half an hour later when you stopped sobbing, you were still crying, wiping your tears from your face every minute or so, this was when the door to the roof opened and shut
you thought it would just be your cousin so you stayed still and aited for her to find you and comfort you
the the felt a foot hit your thigh and heard a whisper shout of “hoLY FUCK”
you sat up, hastily wiping your tears as you tried to see the dark figure in front of you, they had turned on their torch and were now shining it directly into your eyes
“i am so sOrry i didnt even see you there, were you sleeping? oh god i cant believe i just almost stepped on you- wait? are you crying? oh my god”
it was some sort of god in front of you, you were sure. perfectly tanned skin, gorgeous doe like eyes, soft cheeks and pink lips. you were pretty much mesmerised, even as he crouched down in front of you
“hey, im sorry. i really didnt mean it its just dark out, are you okay? i didnt hurt you did i?”
he sounded so unbelievably guilty that you felt bad, snapping out of it you responded with a choked out “im sorry, im fine, its okay!”
the boy in front of you smiled out of relief, eyes lingering on you before looking at the set-up around you
“im jisung, i live on 2nd floor. i havent seen you around before, i didnt know we had new neighbours”
he looked at you and tilted his head in confusion, his eyebrows furrowing and his lips set in a slight pout. your heartbeat involuntarily picked up at the sight
“oh! im uh- im y/n, i just moved in with my cousin y/c/n, she lives on third floor...” you awkwardly and shyly looked down to the ground, hastily tidying up the mess of notebooks and your hot drink as he replied
“oh! y/c/n! i know her, shes really nice. how old are you? you look a bit younger than her honestly” his brows furrowed further and he smiled lightly when you looked up at him, he was still crouching in front of you
“oh, im 17, she lives closer to my school than my parents and she needed a housemate, so here i am!” you laughed really nervously and looked down at your fingers again
jisung smiled to himself, ah, theyre cute
“oh, im the same age then!” he laughed before looking away slightly, asking the difficult question, “are you sure youre okay? you look like youve been crying,”
dread crushed your chest, he’d seen you crying, this was really embarassing for you
“oh nothing! i was just- uh, i was just a bit stressed is all” you held your breath, hoping jisung wouldnt pry any further, you really didnt want to talk about it
he laughed good heartedly, “ah yeah, we all get a bit like that sometimes. what are you doing up here though? its freezing, are you studying or something? waiT IS THAT A TELESCOPE?!”
it was your turn to laugh, this kid was really positive and seemed to know how to take a hint
“im stargazing! my cousin said i could come up here but, if you need to roof then dont worry ill go down its no porblem”
you looked at his face this time as you spoke and oh my god stop smiling at me like that
“stargazing? thats so cool! dont worry, i only came up here for some fresh air, my housemates are a bit loud. so what, do you just look at the stars and planets or?” he finally sat dwn next to you. “can you show me a constellation?”
you giggled and nodded, you whole body tingling because of the close proximity of your bodies and the idea of the stereo-typically romantic thing you were about to do. “we need to lay back okay?”
you laid back, he followed, his head was lost to to yours and his hands rested on his stomach, he turned his head to look at you
m i s t a k e
you didnt turn to him. you were bright red at the feel of his breath fanning across your face you kept your head straight on the sky
“now what?” he softly whispered it to you, your stomach violently dipped and your heart practically stopped
youre all “uhhhh uh- well, uh, you just um- see that sorta diamond of stars over there? and then it sorta uh, has a triangle on top?”
jisung follows your line of eyesight and tries to focs on specific stars that make out the shape, he sees it “oH! i see it!”
“yeah, thats lyra, its a harp basically.”
jisung squints and you lightly turn your head to him, not fully, just enough to see his face. “oh, it does look like a harp i guess, whys it there?”
“it represents the lyre of orpheus, who was a greek poet and musician, he was killed though...”
“wow, thats sad but also so cool...” jisungs phone buzzes, you see its a message from someone called minho, asking where he is
“crap, y/n, ive gotta go but um. i really liked talking to you and im really interested in the stars now, it seems like theyve all got stories. would you mind teaching me again sometime?”
he was scratching the back of his neck awkwardly
“oh! um- yeah of course i will, i mean, yeah definitely!”
you realised you didnt have his phone, so you couldnt really get your number for him
he saw you looking and spoke up “uh, maybe just next time, um, come and grab me? my apartment is number 6, im almost always there if im not at school really. just, whenever youre going up and you feel like some company, come knock on the door or something?”
you smiled, the thought made you nervous but you did want to see jisung again. “okay, of course.”
he smiled brightly at you, you cursed your heart again, “great! ill get going then, dont stay for too long okay? youll get a cold.” he stood up and waved to you
“bye jisung!” you call out softly as he walks away
you leave not long after he left, it felt boring on your own suddenly. you didnt even remember youd been crying at all, it felt like a massive weight was lifted off of your shoulders.
you slept so easily that night, dreaming of the stars and jisung.
a week and a half later? it was a friday night
you were packing your box to go stargazing again when you remembered jisung, you wanted to bring him along with you. he might be busy, but you packed an extra couple of blankets and soem pillows and placed them just inside your door before you went downstairs to go and get him
you were so nervous as you knocked on the door, preparing for utter embarrassment. the door opened up tho
“oh, youre not the complex owner thank god.” you were greeted by someone possibly younger than you, he had reddish hair and a sweet smile. “how can i help you?’
you tried to block out the screeches coming from inside the apartment, you could hear about five voices screaming at once “im uh, im y/n, im from upstairs? i was wondering if jisung was here at all?”
he smirked, like he knew something you didnt. “sure one sec, im seungmin by the way.” he turned away from you and screamed into the apartment “jiSUNG, SOMEONES HERE FOR YOU, HURRY UP.”
“coMING!!” was heard throughout the apartment followed by a “fELiX gEt ofF Of mE” and seungmin smiled awkwardly at you before a head popped past the wall into the entrance way
“oh! y/n! you came!” he tried to walk over to the door but you noticed a body dragging on his legs.
“jiSUNG PLEASE DO MY CHORES FOR ME.” the boy yelled at jisungs feet
seungmin laughed, looking at you saying “ill leave you to it” before jogging over to a tangled up jisung and who you presumed was felix and tearing felix from jisungs body, dragging him away
“uh, sorry about that, hes lazy and pathetic.” jisung laughed, so did you
“i was just wondering if you were free? i was about to go up to the roof..”
jisung smiled brightly, “of course, let me get my coat and phone.”
once he was ready you two went up to your apartment, you told him to come in and wait a bit while you made him a hot drink of hit choice, then you grabbed some pillows and your box and you both walked up the remaining flights of stairs to the roof
it was the beginning of a tradition really, youd go down and grab him, his housemates would call for him as soon as the saw you, before he left theyd whisper things into his ear that made him blush but you simply shrugged it off
after about two months of going up to the roof together, you admitted to yourself that you liked him
a lot
you liked his smile, his voice, how he was endlessly making you happy, you liked he warmth of when hed lie next to you and the way he’d rest a hand on your lower back, guiding you up the stairs. you liked his goodbye hugs and the way he’d hold your hands the one week you couldnt find your gloves. you liked how he was so interested in the stars like you, but you considered giving up looking at the sky to simply look into his eyes because they held galaxies within them. you liked the way he’d whisper your name to check if you were awake and the gentle touch of his fingertips when he brushed your hair out of your eyes
you liked him so much, you couldnt deny it. it crushed you in a way, you thought he would never like you back, and you increasingly got more nervous and drifted away bit by bit
one night, you were up on the roof and jisung sighed loudly, you asked him what was wrong
“can i rant a little bit? please?” jisung had puppy eyes as he sat up and looked at you, you sat up as well and nodded for him to go on
“ah, this is hard,” he started before looking at the pot plants next to your set up that were the centrepiece of the rooftop,
“i um, basically i like this uh, this person right? i like them as more than a friend,” your heart clenched and dropped to your stomach. oh. this was heart break. “we’ve been friends for a while and i thought, well, yeah i thought id been quite obvious with my feelings. i hoped that their shyness was them maybe reciprocating my feelings but? maybe not. lately theyve just-”
jisung huffed and looked up at you again, your heart got caught in your throat, you could see he was nervous about telling someone about his crush and he looked sad talking about the unfortunate circumstances
“theyve been distancing themselves from me. they flinch away we i try to be more affectionate and- and they just dont seem like they like me anymore. not even in a romantic way, in a friend way. and im just upset i guess. ive never ever liked someone this much before, every night im filled with these feelings of just wanted to cuddle with them and take them on dates and hold their hands and- and kiss them. the whole package. it hurts, y/n. why dont they like me?”
the sad feeling you was feeling showed in your voice as you replied. “youre a great person jisung, theyd be an idiot not to like you, seriously. i cant think of someone more deserving of love than you.” you tried to nervously look into his eyes
“then why dont they like me y/n? no one ever likes me.” he was still looking down onto the ground
“i like you jisung.”
oh no
oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no W O R D   V O M I T
you clenched your eyes shut, your heart was beating rapidly, you cant believe you just said that when hed just been speaking about liking someone else. you wanted to cry, to bury yourself alive, anything to get out of that situation.
“really? what?” he snapped his head up, staring at you wide eyed and shocked
“nevermind jisung, forget i said it, i didnt mean to make it awk-”
jisung cupped your cheeks, you felt his warm palms and cool fingertips before you felt his lips, slightly chapped yet soft
your mind was going crazy, you barely managed to move your lips along with jisungs before he parted away, still holding your cheeks and smiling widely
“out of all the stars in this world, youre the brightest y/n.”
you died inside before realising he liked you, all the things he said earlier were about you
jisungs eyes were hopeful, happy, loving, especially when you smiled at him so purely
“jisung, kiss me again.”
and he did, pulling you into his lap and letting you tangle your fingers into his hair
he even kissed you outside your apartment, giggling in happiness and tugging you into his body before saying goodbye
jisung couldnt remember a time he’d been this happy, and honestly, neither could you.
finish!! hope you liked it omg

Niall: Niall got out of the bathroom his dtomach sinking as he saw liam with a bag "what are you doing?"

Liam: "If I don't go my music won't happen...." he spoke out thinking over everything he wasn't handling it well
Niall: he opened the door looking at him " I thought we came here to be a family for once, just this morning you were talking about the zoo, isn´t Amy important? or is it me you don´t want to be around?"
Liam: "We did and we are, they just messed things up and have to record a lot again... we can still do that" he looked down "you know Amy is important to me, she means the world to me"
Niall: "what about me? I don´t?" he asked swallowing hard
Liam: "You know that you do Niall" he looked at him
Niall: "When are you leaving?" he looked down
Liam: "I was going to catch a flight to get there by morning, I'm not good to be around"
Niall: "I got that when you said you were leaving" he mumbled walking back into the bathroom
Liam: "I don't know what else to do...." he bit his lip
Niall: "I get it, it makes sense, you coming home being moody as hell pushing me away and then leaving, I get i"
Liam: "What you mean you get it....."
Niall: "just go Liam.. do whatever you have to do, I don´t think I care right no
Liam: Liam nodded throwing the bag over his shoulder heading out the room, he stopped at Amy's room looking in to her for a little while
Niall: Niall just sat down covering his face in his hands
Liam: Liam kissed her softly on the head not enough to wake her before leaving quietly
Niall: Niall kept himself on the floor not wanting to move
Liam: Liam sat looking out the window in the cab not sure if it was the right thing to do, his head was all messed up and he didn't even know how long he would be away for, but Niall said he didn't care so he thought he wouldn't want him there anyway.
Niall: Hearing the door close Niall started to cry just hiding his face into his legs. He didn´t even get a goodbye, he was so sure it was his fault
Liam: It was the first time Liam had left without saying goodbye and without anything to Niall, he didn't even know why he was this way he just felt so pressured and on edge to get everything finished he over worked himself just to be home with family again. It was the last thing he wanted to do. He tried to push it out his mind but he couldn't
