He is a WORRIER. Man worries about everything, but sucks at expressing it through actions bc that's when he's most easily misunderstood. It is EXTREMELY easy to misunderstand his actions unless the other characters ask him what he's doing and why [after he explains, he turns out to be actually really thoughtful tbh]

When he tells 41st round shin yoosung to "quit her blabbering"...he wasn't that harsh in the novel. The line was changed (still don't know why) but originally he said something about not having enough time, and wasn't a complete asshole.

Also during that same arc/scene it was revealed that he woke her up because he genuinely didn't think she'd attack him/be mad at him iirc, so it wasn't him being stupid, just somewhat naive

When Iris called KDJ ugly he actually stepped forward and intimidated her by glaring so she'd stop talking :) because he sensed fighting spirit in her and he decided to react lmao

His eyebrow moves similarly to a caterpillar when he's about to make an important decision (note: kdj points this out in the novel because he's always staring at yjh I swear to god there's proof)

Yjh puts on a 'cool' face when he's been caught or called out after trying to be sneaky (he's SO BAD at being sneaky istg I love this man so much)

He sometimes uses his skills for stupid and petty shit *said lovingly with heart eyes*

He's more likely to give someone/an NPC a quick death than to make them suffer until they die

Shiga is a pretty incompetent leader. His goals and plans make no sense.

And as much I like dabi and I think his past is better, writing wise, than Shig...doesn't mean he is better. Bc I don't get what was Dabi's plan before joining LoV. What was he doing? Killing random people? Did Endy even cared?

Also if we go "it was essential for dabi to join LoV" ok...show us why. Bc the way I see dabi had no real plan, a goal yes but no plan. The video thing could have happened without LoV.

Shigarakis character and his whole substance/arc/development or whatever you want to call it is underdeveloped and very much lacking

In my opinion this is one of the reasons why we as readers can't say much. Before shigaraki dies his last words are dedicated to spinner and the league but we haven't seen Shigaraki really care for the leauge and grow into a reliable leader for the leauge. This in my opinion stems from horikoshi doing tell don't show instead of doing show and tell when it comes to his story.

Shigaraki as a character is never truly explored in depth. The MVA and overhaul arcs could of been great arcs for him by giving focus on his relationship with the league and izuku himself. After the kamino arc shigaraki should be in a somewhat tough position having left behind three members of the league some of the league members would feel vulnerable and may not trust shigaraki as he literally abandoned three team members!! Shigaraki also lost AFO at this point so he would be in a tough position without advice or anything really so the overhaul arc would help him to grow into the role of a leader and prove to the leauge that he can be trusted. He could do this by getting revenge on maganes death and all and he could use overhaul to learn more about the underground and izuku in general.

I would also have it so that it's Izuku that gets kidnapped in the training camp arc (not bakugo or have both izuku and bakugo be kidnapped) and that would establish a connection between the leauge and izuku even if it may start on a bad foot.

when it comes to the MVA arc the leagues loyaltly and shigaraki's loyalty is put to the test. We would get more bonding time with them and just see their overall other goals that may contradict with the league itself.

Shigarakis interest in Izuku doesn't disappear and he actually uses the MVA resources to actually reach out and get to know izuku or he tired to get to know more about izuku be all.

Dabi first joined the league due to the influence stain and had and in my opinion he also joined due to needing a place to crash and free food. His goal was to take down and kill enji but I guess during that he lost his true goal and ended up doing things to build his reputation as a villain (like burning people alive)

In the end I would very much change this and build up on the leauge of villains characters and explore their personality, goals and how these two things can contradict or compliment eachother which can cause conflict .

I've been interested in INMIMB since I saw Gloom's playthrough a  couple years ago, and I just really enjoy them in general. I've been searching everywhere for places to play them but I can't find them (I've only played  INMIMB, and it was sooooo good) so a little advice would be nice. I have a few questions (mostly about Embry bc they're my favorite and i love them sm) You don't have to answer anything if you don't want to, but it'd be nice if you did since I love you and your content and I think you're awesome :)

Okay, so a few questions:

1) I've seen someone ask if Dr d light had a favorite flower and I remember you answering sunflower, so just wondering if Embry has one?

2) is Embry's middle name confirmed or do we have to theorize about it forever? (I wouldn't know if you've talked about it since I only joined Tumblr a few days ago and it's tiring to scroll through blogs lol)

3) What's your opinion on Embry x Ryo as a romantic pairing? I'm asking this one for very personal reasons and I really don't want to make you uncomfortable by shipping it because I relate to Embry a lot and them having a partner just gives me a sense of comfort. Like it makes me feel warm inside.

4) Is Embry more of a chorus kid, a band kid, or an orchestra kid? (This is based on the context of my middle school where we have to pick a certain type of music for the whole damn year. I don't know if other schools do that but it's what I'm used to, and personally, I see them as a chorus kid because like I said, I relate to them a lot and I am a chorus kid.)

5) Does Embry have a specific preference with clothing, as in fem or masc, or do they just wear whatever? Just asking because I see them more often in masc outfits than I see them in fem.

Yk Back At The Random Ghost Rebel Stuff

A straight up ramble but does anyone feels this retching feeling in their hearts whenever they think about the High Cloud Quintet and its lore and go like "Dang, if only we COULD change what had happened bc this crap is dark and sad as hell" because that's what I feel like right now

And lemme tell you: It's not a good feeling bc I don't even want to think about how they're all just old and tired grannies and grandpas. The only person that has proper solace in the High Cloud Quintet is flipping Baiheng bro—poor Yingxing got turned into Blade bc yk—he's the beloved of that one relic set story.

Dan Flipping Feng becomes Dan Heng and even as Dan Heng he doesn't get a single drop of solace bc now the former-artisan-now-maniac dude is chasing him all across the universe bc of the sins of the past and it's just so heartbreaking bc Dan Heng isn't Dan Feng and Blade is only the shadow of Yingxing (this concept with Yingxing and Blade heavily reminds me of Makoto and Ei—Ei was the shadow of Makato and the shadow of the light is all that remains ykyk)

And then there's Jingliu who just straight up asks her student to kill her if she ever becomes mara-struck and in the end she still lives somehow and then she decides to go full-traumatizer with Blade back when he was the Unnamed that wandered the place—as if he needed MORE trauma and honestly her weak grasp over the mara which in turn makes her insane is so upsetting bc in the end she ends up having beef with a 14 year-old lieutenant who's trying to do his job and protect the Luofu (though, I have to admit it: as much as I want to protect my child Yanqing, his methods were kind of flawed—) even if he doesn't know who Jingliu is.

And ofc we got the last man standing Jing Yuan who just sees ghosts in everyone around him. Istg I feel like bc he sees ghosts, he can't move on from the past, and when he can't move on from the past, it's honestly a red flag bc it might mean that his present relationships with everyone are (sometimes) only just one-sided or something. Like, take the relationship between Yanqing and he: Yanqing trusts the General with his life bc he raised him as a baby. But the fact that he calls Jing Yuan "General" and not some sort of parental title says that Jing Yuan is being unnecessarily secretive due to his fear of vulnerability. I mean—literally in 1.2 Story Quest, Jing Yuan quite literally just left Yanqing on the island alone after he got beat up by two men that have beef with one another, practically leaving him in the dark with no explanation. And even before that, Yanqing was still left in the dark. Jing Yuan doesn't open up easily bc of the crap he's been through, which is understandable, but his lack of explanation backing up his highly meticulous moves—that's not really healthy. In the end, it just leaves a gap of mistrust, be it intentional or not, between Jing Yuan and Yanqing. In some cases, and this one (imo atleast) is one of them, if you don't explain your actions, it pretty much just leaves the person that's been left in the dark with their waves of emotions, which might cost said-relationship between the two people in the long run.

It also seems like (based off what we know of, at least) at least half of Jing Yuan's choices are also connected to sentimental reasons and seeing ghosts in people. I think he sees a ghost in Yanqing (idk who tho—ppl say it's Yingxing bc of his obsession over the sword), he sees one in Yukong (definitely Baiheng), he sees one in Dan Heng (obvious reasons, very evident throughout the game) and possible Bailu (because she's technically being hailed as the next Imbibitor Lunae after Dan Feng's sin), and it could possibly go on. This old grandpa really is comparing the present with his past and that's honestly a little heartbreaking, bc there is a chance that that might mean that Jing Yuan found more happiness (serotonin work hardcore fr) in his past than he does in his present. He should at least be happy enough of the present to not be this sentimental of the past, but he's really suffering of the incidents like bro—

The High Cloud Quintet is like The Five Yakshas from Genshin Impact but with more lore (that we know of) and more angst twists (that we know of) to it fr. It's so heartbreaking and angsty, I both love it, hate it, and cry about it.

Ah, the snack pack. I must confess that I don't really think much of them 😅eheh. At least when first watching the movies, they kind of just blended into the background as more character were introduced with the sequels. But!! I am quite a fan of how they're expanded through fan works!!

Yeah pop village can be quite harmful, toxic positivity was pretty ingrained into their society. probs bc it seemingly ‘works’ for all of them. The older folk can forget the pains of the past and the young can grow up happy. But for those it doesn't ‘work on’ (branch), it is very invalidating. But I also see the harm they do as unintentional mostly. They probs think that at this point Branch must not want to be happy. For the snack pack they’re probs like 'come on man this again? just lighten up and sing along' while like totally ignoring what is burdening him. Though I mostly see that as the failing of the older generation who at the very least needed one person to step up and work through the traumas that's being buried for Branch. Could have really helped him process and cope growing up.

I'm sorry if this kind of message is upsetting or annoying, feel free to ignore it if it is, but I'm just so frustrated and tired of trying to go on and pretending it will be okay. Everyday I feel so exhausted and sick of having to put on a mask to get through the day, being at work and interacting with people even minimally drains every single ounce of energy from me and it doesn't even pay enough for me to move out of my mother's house. I'm already starting to deal with health problems from not taking care of my body, and I feel like nothing I do amounts to any change in my life. I hate excuses so I'm not trying to make excuses, I know I'm only reaping what I've sown for myself. But I don't know if I can actually change it at this point or be able to have the kind of life I want to have. Maybe if I had gotten myself together earlier, but I already threw away so much time and didn't take advantage of the privileges I was given. I find some comfort in the things I read in this circle about being happy alone, purity, etc. but I struggle to fully throw myself into it because most of it involves spirituality and I just don't believe in some of the core concepts. A lot of it makes sense to me if I think of it as a metaphor for what goes on in the world and not in a literal sense. Like karma, because for the most part I do believe people get what they deserve, but I also think random people do suffer from the mass depravity of others for no reason. It's true the world is exactly the way people want it to be and there's no other way it could have been unless people had wanted something different. Things like murder, rape, pedophilia etc exist because people think there being a next generation is worth these things existing, which is the karma itself if makes sense. I don't believe in some things, like reincarnation for example, in a literal sense. I struggle to believe that children are born into abuse bc of something they did in a past life. I can understand karma for adults because how we choose to react to the environment we were born into is within our control and we will keep suffering until we decide to face reality and choose peace. But children don't have control over their lives and I think children only suffer for their parents' karma. I don't know if it makes me a bad person but I really only feel bad for the things that happened to people as children because that's the one time they didn't choose to suffer. I think most children will grow up to be evil but I don't think it's the fault of their parents or the trauma. I think most humans are just inherently predators and were always going to be the way they are, and of course in a world full of predators plenty of them are going to be victims of each other. The logic most people have is that being a victim makes you less of a predator so they cling to the ways they have been victimized as a shield. It sounds bleak but if there's a point to life I think it's to realize that life is hell and to not create a new being to experience it. It frustrates me that you can't be honest about it and can't say anything about the world being hell and nature being hell and PEOPLE being hell without people getting defensive and acting like you're the crazy one. They expect you to look at all of the selfish, manipulative assholes of the world and to "love everyone," see the good in them and forgive them even though they don't deserve it, to look at all their filth and call it love. I feel like such a negative and hateful person sometimes but almost everything in the world is negative and worthy of hate. You have to look at it all and be willing to pretend it's good or you're the hateful one.

Not annoying or upsetting at all. I think expressing emotions, even anger and frustration is important. You should never try to force yourself to feel a certain way if it’s not genuine. I was actually angry for some time, and festered in it. It was really important on my journey of self improvement. Life can be disappointing, and initially recognizing the filth presented to us, can be demoralizing.

Starting small could potentially help you. I dove in and wanted to completely change my life overnight. This obviously didn’t happen, and made it seem like an impossible task. You have to give yourself grace and practice patience. You’ve built up a lifetime of thoughts and experiences, that is going to take time to change. I started by doing one positive thing for myself each day. It sounds cliche and obvious, but if you look around, even little things slip past us. I also encourage you to get to the bottom of your emotions, especially frustration.

You shouldn’t have to pretend. Although I’m able to think positively about my own life, I know that this world is a terrible place. I agree that not bringing another person here is the “purpose” for those of us with this mindset. I find great joy in that, knowing that I’m smart enough to see through the illusion and make a meaningful choice not to contribute because of it. Don’t let the mass delusion of faux positivity get to you, those people know what they’re saying is bullshit deep down. The ability to be honest with yourself and acknowledge reality is a gift, and at the very least will help keep yourself safe.

I encourage you to take your time. Which you have plenty of. Don’t let the idea that you’ve wasted too much of it stop you. I sat with my negative feelings for awhile before coming out on the other side. I was able to comfort myself with the fact that I was smart enough to wake up eventually. Some people never do, and that’s what motivated me the most. I see others everyday who are almost at the end of their lives, and still soaking up filth.

You’re already extremely self aware and shouldn’t waste that. You need to spend more time with yourself, and find ways to grow self esteem. The relationship you have with yourself will influence how you move through the world. I sincerely mean it when I say that your words resonated with me, and I can tell how intelligent you are. You have a perceptive mind, many don’t get that, you shouldn’t let it go to waste. Maybe even finding a medium in which you can express yourself, even the less positive aspects, can help you. Writing has been therapeutic for me for that reason. Journaling as well, sharing your insights, even if just for yourself :)

I think he's aging beautifully. Aging well doesn't only have to mean a lack of aging, but simply getting better as you do it, imo. When all the features of aging—wrinkles, greys, eye-bags, skin spots, etc, actually make a person look like a more beautifully seasoned version of their younger selves? That's aging well too.

As for Daddy issues, IDK, only you can decide for yourself if it's daddy related. 🤓 I ain't here to judge either way. Don't we all want a dad in the streets but a daddy in the sheets? 🤡

I'll put my top five under a cut! Not only just for the length but general cringe and possible thirst talk. So if that isn't someone's thing they can only blame themselves for continuing to read.

#1. Top honor is undoubtedly Daniel fucking Watson. Because speaking of aging beautifully, it's his most recent role so it was pretty much guaranteed to become my new favorite in terms of looks for that reason alone. I'm never going to be that person who is most thirsty for a role that happened fifteen years ago simply because I like men with some age on them. I want a whole ass man. I want the salt and pepper hair, I want the almost-white facial fuzz, I want the eye crinkles that cut deep towards his cheeks. That shit is sexy as fuck. If I wanted someone that looked like Timothy Chamomile I'd be out here giffing Willy Wonka.

And Daniel Watson is serving. The neck fuzz alone tickles the cave woman portion of my brain and makes me feral.

He just walks and moves and carries himself like A Man™ but not the sort that has so much swagger that it seems like they're over compensating. Important difference. A bit tired, a bit weary, just all the things I relate to a good, tired, dad. It feels natural and that's what makes it sexy. (Also the belly.)

And this show is finally giving us proper close-ups and beautiful profile shots. Like you said, based on looks alone, 1000/10. There's nothing to complain about. And another reason it's my new favorite—freckles! They aren't covering the freckles. I just like people's faces to look natural, is that so much to ask for?

The next four are probably interchangeable, it really just depends on my mood as far as who ranks above who. So don't put too much weight into the order, just know they'd round out my top five.

#2. Saul Silva. Specifically, season one Saul Silva though, because yes I'm still bitter about the hair dye. I realize it was likely bc of DA filming but I give not a single shit, I'll stay bitter about it until I die. Saul ranks this high for the same reasons as Daniel Watson really. A bit of grey, a bit of scruff, just looks natural and delicious.

^ That look is pure 🔥🔥 and anyone who attempts to claim otherwise (not that anyone ever has) is a lying liar that tells lies. Also, wardrobe is superior in Fate compared to a lot of his other roles. We got a good mixture of casual wear in addition to his little uniform.

3. Hutch. That's it, that's all I have to say. Just Hutch.

It's a shame that he died but I get it. If I were some big monster I'd eat his ass first too. Literally and figuratively. 🫡

4. Martin Evershed! Can't leave off my boy Mr. Evershed. Again, for a lot of the same reasons as mentioned above. I prefer him recent. I prefer him with greys. I prefer him looking soft and delicious. What Ackley lacked in wardrobe it made up for in just indulging my Dad™ kink.

This role isn't talked about much, likely because it was small, but damn if he didn't look great. The scruff, the nose, the plain black tee? Fucking perfect.

Being homesick and watching the world cup with the avengers headcanons

Pairings: platonical Avengers x Reader, Bucky Barnes x Reader

Summary: Bucky senses that something is wrong with you but you don't seem ready to talk about it. After watching you closely for a while he discovers that your sadness comes from missing your home country and decides to do something to cheer you up. One day you mention to him how excited you are about the World Cup and that gives Bucky the idea of throwing you a surprise party to watch the last game of the event together. In the midst of the tensions of the game, emotions surface and your feelings for Bucky are exposed in the most unexpected way.

Notes: This thing is based on THIS request from my friend and fellow Argentinian and is brought to you by my inability to think about anything other than the world cup since the day of the final because MY COUNTRY FUCKING WON I'M SO EXCITED AGUANTE ARGENTINA CARAJO ⭐⭐⭐🔵⚪🔵

I decided to write this one as headcanons and divide it in two parts. The first will be more generic so everyone can imagine celebrating their country with Bucky and the Avengers. The second part will be specific about Argentina since that's what was requested. I just wanted to make sure there was a way for everyone to enjoy this one given that most of my readers are not from Argentina. It’s probably going to be a lot more detailed because well it’s where I come from and I LOVE the idea of the Avengers doing Argentinian shit. 

You can totally just read the first part, it has all the story in it. The second part is more of a detailed description of argentinian shit I think would be funny to show the avengers. I won't repeat or add anything big to the story, just random shit

🟣 Okay so I imagine Bucky has a secret crush on you for a long time but he never acts on it because of #reasons (like his insecurities and trauma). 

🟣 but can anyone blame him tho? like you’re the most beautiful and caring woman he met since he regained control of his mind. You were always good to him, taking your time to get to know him and making an effort to create a safe and secure environment for him to slowly heal. You were always there for him, even when you didn’t really know him that well

🟣 That’s why when Bucky noticed that something was wrong with you he was determined to find out what it was so he could help you

🟣 It all started with your mood. He noticed that you were more somber and distracted. Your cheerful and positive personality was gone. You spent most of your free time in your room doing who knows what and Natasha had to drag you out of bed to participate in some activity with the rest of the team.

🟣 Bucky had asked you on several occasions if you were okay —just like the rest of the Avengers—, but your answer was always the same: "I'm fine, I'm just tired that’s all."

🟣 He knew it was all lies, but he didn't want to pressure you to talk if you weren't ready. He knew better than anyone how uncomfortable and annoying that could be. So he just smiled and nodded, waiting for you to be ready to tell him what was bothering you.

🟣 That didn't mean he was dropping the subject, though. On the contrary, Bucky kept a close eye on you. Just because you didn't talk to him about your problems didn't mean he couldn't keep an eye on you from a distance to make sure you were okay. And it was thanks to his watchful eye that he finally got to the root of the problem.

🟣 One morning when he returned from his morning jog he found you in the living room looking through the contents of a large package that was lying on the floor. He came over to ask you what you were doing and you told him with a big smile on your face that your family had sent you a package from your home country. And as you showed him the gifts they had sent you —pictures of your relatives and many objects alluding to your country of origin— Bucky noticed that your special glow had returned. You were smiling like a little kid on Christmas morning, taking things out of the box and explaining with great enthusiasm what they were. 

🟣 He listened attentively to every word that came out of your mouth, loving the glow of happiness in your eyes as you wrapped yourself in the flag of your country that your relatives had sent you. Your happiness was contagious and Bucky couldn't help but smile and be happy to hear facts about a country he didn't know so well.

🟣 Although the happiness didn't last long, because the next day Bucky noticed you were just as sad and distracted as always.

🟣 Bucky knew that you came from (y/c) and that you had family there. You always spoke proudly of your home country and occasionally told stories of the times you went there on vacation to visit your family. But for some reason it never crossed his mind that the reason for your sadness was that you were homesick.

🟣 But now that he knew the real reason for your problems he was ready to do something about it. He wanted to return the favor, to help you in the same way you had helped him in his recovery.

🟣 His first idea was to take you on a surprise vacation to (y/c) but after checking the Avengers' schedule he realized that would not be possible. They had an important mission coming up and were supposed to be preparing for it. Bucky tried to ask Fury to excuse you at least, ensuring him that he would take your place on the mission, but the Shield director wouldn't listen to him so he was back to square one.

🟣 He was on his way back from his meeting with Fury when he ran into you in the elevator. You smiled at him and quickly engaged in casual conversation about your day. You looked more cheerful than usual, not your usual cheerful self but you didn't seem sad either. So Bucky, being the curious creature that he was, couldn't resist asking you what got you in such a good mood. And in your answer he found the perfect idea to lift your spirits.

🟣 Apparently the World Cup was happening, a football tournament in which different countries were competing for the title of the best in the world. And apparently (y/c) had made it to the finals. So Bucky had the brilliant idea to prepare a surprise party for the day of the final so all the Avengers could cheer for your team together and celebrate your country with you.

🟣 Bucky spent the next few days researching everything he could about (y/c), its history, traditions, typical food and traditional music, everything. He wanted to learn as much information as possible about your country so he could make a theme party that would make you proud. So he stayed up late with a computer on his lap and a notepad in his hand, quickly scribbling down the main ideas to outline his plan. He even went so far as to talk to a couple of people claiming to be from (y/c) on the internet —under a fake name obviously— to ask them questions that the internet articles didn't answer. They were all very nice to him and gave him advice that he was sure would add a special touch to the party.

🟣 Luckily he didn't have to plan everything alone. When he told the rest of the Avengers about his idea they all joined in the preparations, splitting up the tasks at that very moment.

🟣 “Just friends my ass” Bucky heard Natasha mutter under her breath after he explained what he had in mind so far. He ignored her, though he couldn't stop his blood from traveling to his face, pooling in his cheeks in embarrassment.

🟣 Tony was in charge of getting the food, searching all over town for a business that specialized in traditional (y/c) dishes. When he found one he ordered large quantities of all the dishes they offered and even paid extra to have one of the establishment's cooks present at the party in case you wanted a specific dish on the spot.

🟣 Natasha and Wanda joined forces to create a playlist with songs that would represent your country well. It was a mix of traditional music with contemporary songs from popular artists of the moment. They took their job very seriously, researching the history of (y/c) and searching the internet for lists of the most played artists and people's opinions about it. They both knew what it felt like to be homesick to miss your family and friends that were left behind. A complex system of signs and symbols, of ways of seeing and understanding the world and relating to others, died a little when migrating to another country and that could be a very difficult thing to go through, so they wanted to make sure you had the best party ever and that it brought you a little bit closer to your beloved homeland.

🟣 Steve, Sam, Thor, Clint and Bucky were in charge of decorating. They had to take turns going out to buy everything they needed in a way that wouldn't be suspicious to you. There was a lot of shopping to do and little time to do it in, so they spent most of the time making up all sorts of excuses, covering for each other so they could sneak out of the Avengers' compound without arousing suspicion. But it was worth it because by the day of the match they had multiple (y/c) flags, national team jerseys, all kinds of posters, balloons, lights and other decorative items in the colors of the country - including posters with the words "let's go (y/c)!!!" in big, colorful letters.

🟣 On the day of the game Bucky was in charge of distracting you while the others prepared everything. Tony hired help, so they were able to have the Avengers compound decorated in your country's colors in a matter of a couple of hours. And while they worked on that, Bucky took you to have breakfast at a place he swore had the best pancakes in the world. It was a lame excuse, but you didn't seem to notice. He knew he would always be able to get your attention with food, and just as he hoped it worked like a charm.

🟣 You talked a lot over breakfast, catching up and sharing funny stories about your teammates. You mentioned the big match a couple of times, explaining how important it was to you and how it made you feel closer to home.

"I know it might be dumb, but seeing all those people cheering with the colors of the flag painted on their faces makes me feel less alone.". You explained, shrugging as you stirred your coffee absentmindedly.

"It's not dumb" Bucky assured you, reaching out to place his hand over yours, giving it a light squeeze of reassurance. Looking up you saw that he was smiling at you, the corners of his lips curving upward in a grimace that sparked a comforting warmth inside you.

"You can come watch it with me if you want. It'll be fun, I promise!"

"Sure, I'd love to" Bucky accepted your invitation, having to bite his tongue to avoid ruining the surprise that awaited you.

🟣 You noticed that Bucky was more attentive to his phone than normal. Usually he barely used the device, the rest of the team always scolded him for not reading important messages or answering calls. He could go days without even turning it on, it just wasn't programmed into his system. But today he was paying attention to every message that came in —and there were many, the device vibrated on the table every five minutes.

🟣 You thought that maybe Bucky was trying to change his habits, to incorporate the device into his routine, although that still didn't explain the number of messages he was getting. It occurred to you then that maybe he had finally taken San's advice and downloaded one of the many dating apps out there. That idea put a strange taste in your mouth, your heart squeezing in your chest at the thought of Bucky talking to other women with romantic intentions.

🟣 Never in a million years would you have guessed that the real reason his phone was ringing so much was because he had planned the world's best surprise party for you.

🟣 When you returned to the avenger's compound he asked you to come with him to the living room for a moment. "There's something I want to show you" was his only explanation. You followed him and once there you were surprised by your teammates, who jumped up and shouted "surprise!" when they saw you, throwing colorful tiny pieces of paper in your direction.

🟣 The room was an explosion of the colors of your beloved country, with flags and posters of support adorning the walls. There was a huge table filled with the traditional food you loved so much and hadn't eaten for so long. There was also traditional (y/c) music playing softly in the background and your teammates were wearing national team jerseys and had the colors of the flag painted in stripes on their cheeks.

🟣 “Oh my God, guys!” you exclaimed in surprise, unable to believe what your eyes were seeing. "You did all this for me?" Tears formed in your eyes, feeling the love of your friends invading your insides and filling you with a comforting warmth.

"It was Bucky's idea," Natasha clarified with a playful smile on her lips. But you paid no attention to your friend's insinuations, you were too overwhelmed by the situation for that. 

Turning to look at Bucky, he offered you a shy smile. "I noticed that you were a bit homesick and I wanted to do something to cheer you up," he explained with a shrug, minimizing it as if it wasn't the most loving gesture anyone had made for you in a long time. "I talked to Fury to try to get you an early vacation so you could go to visit your family, but he denied it. So I came up with this and when I told the guys they all wanted to participate."

"Buck, I... I have no words," you stuttered, struggling to find the right words to thank him for such a gesture. Your brain was too overwhelmed by the situation to put into words everything you were feeling, but you hoped he knew how much you appreciated everything he had done. "This is beautiful, I- thank you so much. Thank you all so much for this." 

🟣 Once the initial shock wore off, the party began. While Bucky and you went to change into your national team jerseys, Tony turned up the music to start the celebration. Thor was the first to approach the table with the food, serving himself a plate full of every available thing on the table. "I'm learning about Y/N's culture!" he defended himself when you looked at him in surprise, though the god's appetite was nothing new really. The others followed soon after, soliciting your recommendations and asking you what some of the dishes contained.

🟣 You discussed details of your country for a while, starting from the food, to the music, to the common customs of the people there. You answered their questions cheerfully, and congratulated them on the good choices they had made in everything. For a non-native ( y/c) person, they had managed to put together a good selection of representative food and music. You were particularly surprised to hear not only typical music but also popular songs by famous artists from your country. You were touched by the seriousness with which they had taken every detail.

🟣 When it was time for the match, everyone gathered in front of the large television in the living room. You all settled down on the couches, although there were so many that some of you had to sit on the floor. You ended up sitting between Natasha and Bucky, with Wanda on the floor at your feet.

🟣 The match was difficult, full of tension and complications. Your teammates had never heard you shouting and cursing as much as you did during those 90 minutes —dropping a couple of insults in your native language from time to time that they didn't understand, but they could guess what it meant from the tone of your voice. The flag you had draped over your shoulders at the beginning of the game soon became your anti-stress toy, squeezing the fabric between your fingers every time the opposing team came too close to scoring a goal.

🟣 As the last minutes of the game approached your nerves were through the roof. Your heart was pounding so hard against your chest that you felt like it was going to burst out of your body at any moment. Your eyes never left the screen, moving from the players running on the field just to watch the minutes ticking by.

🟣 The match ended in a tie so the winner had to be decided by penalty kicks. Your heart raced even faster as you watched the players prepare to kick, knowing that it was now all in the hands of the goalkeeper. Instinctively you reached for Bucky's hand at your side. He took it, interlacing your fingers in a strong grip. Your eyes were glued to the television, but Bucky's eyes did not leave your figure, admiring your profile. Even from his perspective he could see the illusion in your eyes, the happiness drawn in your expression despite your deep concentration. He lost himself in you for a moment, the world around him ceasing to exist as he allowed his eyes to memorize every little detail of your face at that moment. It was the happiest he had seen you in a long time and he wanted to memorize that expression forever.

🟣 Bucky didn't quite know what was happening because from one second to the next he was jumping with you, your hands intertwined as you celebrated. Your team had scored a goal, securing victory and your happiness. You threw yourself into Bucky's arms, your eyes sparkling with emotion. He gladly took you into his arms, holding you tightly against his body as he let himself be filled with your euphoric joy.

🟣 But then the unexpected happened: you kissed him.

🟣 You didn't even realize what you were doing until it was too late. You were so excited about the game, so happy for the company of your friends, that it was impossible for you to control your emotions. It was a last second decision, one you didn't even make consciously. You lost yourself in his deep blue eyes as you looked up at him, it was as if you were in a trance, mesmerized by the joyful gleam in his eyes. And without realizing it you leaned forward, standing on your tiptoes and taking Bucky's face between your hands so you could press your lips together.

🟣 Bucky kissed you back without hesitation, his lips moving to match yours with determination. Perhaps it was the immediate positive response that caused you to lose yourself completely in the moment, unable to register what you had done. Or maybe it was the way his hands wrapped around your hips, pulling your body to his, enveloping you in his warmth. Probably a little bit of both.

🟣 The world around you ceased to exist as you held each other close, your lips moving with desperation from the euphoria of the moment and the repressed feelings between you. Suddenly you forgot about the game developing in the background, the narrator's voice sounding small and distant as you lost yourself in the sweet taste of Bucky's lips, melting in his arms. He was all you could think about, all you could feel.

🟣 You even forgot about your teammates gathered around you. They all watched the scene with surprise, not because of the kiss itself —because essentially they all knew there was something special between you–- but because of the timing and the way it had happened. It was quite obvious that you liked each other, but they didn't expect that after so much time dancing around each other that things would end up like this.

🟣 Well, some of them did. Natasha, Steve and Wanda were looking at you with knowing smiles, happy that their predictions had come true.

"I knew it!" Wanda exclaimed. Her voice shattered the illusion and you were snapped back to reality. You broke away from Bucky as soon as your brain was able to process what had happened, your face burning with embarrassment as you turned around and saw all your friends staring at you. 

"You better start paying us, Stark," Natasha added, stretching out her hand towards Tony. “You too, Wilson.”

You were horrified, completely embarrassed by your behavior. How could you have lost control like that? It was humiliating and... Wait, paying them?

"What is going on?" you asked with confusion as Tony and Sam pulled out a couple of bills from their wallets and passed them to Natasha. She gladly took them, counting them before handing them out to Wanda and Steve. 

"We had a bet," she said casually as if that explained everything.

"A bet?"

"Yeah, we said that you guys were finally going to stop dancing around each other and admit your feelings today. Tony and Sam said it was impossible because you guys are too dumb to realize you liked each other. And Clint and Thor were surprised to hear about your unspoken thing."

"Oh my God!" you exclaimed in horror. All this time you had thought you had managed to keep your crush on Bucky well hidden from all your teammates, but apparently you were wrong. "Was it so obvious?"

"A little, yeah" Wanda nodded and you let out a groan of embarrassment and frustration.

🟣 Bucky was almost as embarrassed as you were to discover that apparently everyone knew his big secret. He expected it from Steve, they had known each other for so long that he couldn't hide anything from him even if he wanted to, but he was surprised to discover that even Tony had noticed. Was it that obvious?

🟣 What surprised and confused him most, though, was the confidence that Steve, Nat and Wanda seemed to have that this would be the day that you would finally act on your feelings for each other. So he asked them about it.

"How come you were so sure this would happen?"

"Are you kidding? You threw her the nicest, most thoughtful party ever," Natasha replied as if it were obvious. "I'm honestly surprised she didn't kiss you the second you walked through those doors"

🟣 After the game was over and the euphoria of (y/c)'s victory celebrations had died down, Bucky approached you again. The rest of your teammates were lounging on the couches, too drunk or too stuffed with food to pay attention to you. You were catching your breath on the balcony, leaning against the railing with your country's flag draped over your shoulders protecting you from the light breeze that had risen. He stood next to you and you leaned your head on his shoulder immediately. Bucky was a little surprised, but received the gesture gladly, putting his arm around your shoulders and pulling you closer to him.

🟣 You remained in that position for a while, silently admiring the scenery in front of you as you enjoyed each other's company. But then you broke the silence. "Would you like to go on a date with me sometime?" Bucky looked down at you with a smile, your wide eyes returning his gaze full of anticipation as you waited for an answer. "How about next week?"

🔵 I imagine the avengers compound is all decorated in white and light blue. The living room, the hallways, the bathrooms, the balconies, EVERYTHING. That's what happens when Tony Stark gets involved in organizing a party, he gives it his all.

🔵There are Argentinian flags everywhere and posters saying "Vamos Argentina!" on all the walls. Balloons, strings of tinsel and even lights in light blue, white and yellow in allusion to the flag.

🔵 Also posters with Messi’s face everywhere. 

🔵 In fact, all the avengers were wearing the national team jersey with the number 10 and Messi's name on the back. Some had the classic white and light blue stripes and others the new alternative jersey with purple details that was designed for the World Cup in Qatar. In addition, all of them had light blue and white stripes painted on their cheeks to represent the Argentinian flag.

🔵 I imagine that the music playlist includes all kinds of Argentinian music you can possibly think of, from the saddest tango, to the chacarera teachers used to make you dance at school events, and even the latest Lali Esposito song.

🔵 I imagine that while you are waiting for the game to start you get to talking about music and food. They ask you questions like the origin of some of the rhythms and genres of music they came across and some of the dishes they had to eat today, and you happily tell them.

🔵 But then Por lo que yo te quiero by Rodrigo starts playing and you find the perfect excuse to teach them how to dance cuarteto. None of the men dare to do it at first, so you take Wanda’s hand and teach her the basic steps while you explain where cuarteto comes from and what it represents.

🔵 In a matter of half an hour you have all the avengers dancing cuarteto with a fernet in hand —served in the cut half of a plastic bottle as god intended.

🔵 You could tell that none of them were used to dancing to that kind of rhythm. Well, except for Sam, he was a natural. You were surprised at his ability to pick up the rhythm after a couple of seconds dancing with you. You didn't know he was such a good dancer, nothing in his personality told you that, other than maybe the fact that he was one of the avengers who liked to party from time to time the most.

🔵 But anyway, they were all putting a lot of energy and fun vibes into it and that helped them disguise their inexperience a little bit. Besides, cuarteto was not a very difficult rhythm to dance to, so they were fine. They were all having fun, laughing as they moved to the music, and that was the most important thing. Dancing was mostly about attitude anyways. 

🔵 You danced with Bucky a couple of times as you went from person to person to correct their moves. And you took your time with him, not because he was bad at dancing but because you enjoyed the closeness. The basic cuarteto steps were simple even for him who hadn't danced in over 70 years, so he did a good job. 

🔵 He looked genuinely happy as he let the rhythm of the music and your footsteps guide him. He had a big smile on his lips and his eyes shone with a special sparkle. It was a version of him you had never seen before and you were proud to have been the one to bring it to light.

🔵 He let loose as you danced, spinning you around the room before pulling you into his body once again, moving to the cheerful rhythm of the music. And you laughed each time, feeling an immense amount of joy fill your chest as you shared such a beautiful and special moment with Bucky.

🔵 Also, can we talk about El Meneaito?

🔵 I know it's not technically an Argentinian song, but it had a big impact on the parties around the country (at least while I was growing up) and I can't just not include it.

🔵 So when the playlist goes from quartet to that song you don't waste a second getting them all in a line, standing in front of them to show them the choreography. Side to side, side to side, hips swaying down, y ahí, ahí, ahí, ahí, ahí, ahí 

🔵Please if you’re reading this and you don’t know El Meneaito I encourage you to go listen to it and look for videos of the choreography as well (which is not the same as the official video) because imagining the avengers dancing like this is priceless

🔵 After a couple of songs they decided to take a break to get something to eat. And just in time the caterers that Tony had hired for the day arrived with the asado. Before they tried anything else you forced them all to eat at least one choripan, explaining that there was nothing more representative of argentinian culture than a good choripan with chimichurri (rip a los argentinos veganos).

🔵 They also tried empanadas (of all kinds), locro, LAS MILANESAS, and every kind of Argentinean food you can think of.. 

🔵 I feel that Thor being a god and Steve and Bucky being super soldiers are the avengers with the biggest appetites and therefore the ones who got to try a little bit of everything before collapsing from all the eating. The rest chose from the many options whatever appealed to them the most, always listening to your suggestions.

🔵 The asado —complete with provoleta, chorizo and morcilla as a first course, tira de asado, entraña, achuras and vacío— got great compliments from everyone, although the rest of the dishes were not far behind, with the empanadas being a second favorite.

🔵 Tony was the wine taster of the event, enjoying the taste of that alcoholic beverage more than the Fernet, which was, in his words, "more bitter than he expected"

🔵By the time the match started everyone felt like they knew and understood Argentina a little bit more. Hearing you talk about your country's traditions was very different from reading about them on the internet. So everyone felt a little more engaged in the game than they initially thought they would be.

🔵 You wrapped yourself in an Argentina flag to sit and watch the game, the albiceleste fabric draped around your shoulders like a blanket. And you forced the rest of the team to wear hats and other accessories in the colors of the flag as well.

🔵 Tony, Sam and Clint ended up watching the game wearing wigs with long hair painted half white and half light blue.

🔵 Steve and Thor took a harlequin-like hat and Bruce a flower necklace, all in the same color scheme as the flag.

🔵 Wanda and Natasha opted for cute headbands with stars in the colors of the flag.

🔵 And for Bucky you chose a crown of light blue and white flowers which you carefully placed on his head, arranging his long chestnut hair so that it looked pretty with the new accessory on. He looked adorable, like a princess straight out of a fairytale. 

🔵 And you obviously took a lot of pictures before the game started because there was no way you were going to pass up the opportunity to immortalize that moment.

🔵 During the game your Argentinean side came out in the form of frustrated shouts and insults in Spanish that most of your teammates did not understand.

🔵 There were a lot of "la puta que te parió" and  "la concha de su madre" every time the opposing team stole the ball or scored a goal. There were also a lot of "gol la concha de tu madre gol!", screaming at the top of your lungs as you celebrated when Argentina scored a goal.

🔵 They had never seen you like this. Normally you weren't so emotional and most of your teammates had barely heard you yell a couple of times in all the time they had known you.

🔵 Let alone cursing in the way you were doing it. They may not have fully understood what you were saying, but it was more than clear that those were not nice things, going by the tone of your voice and the expression on your face.

🔵 "La puta madre, no puede ser!" you shouted in frustration when the opposing team tied the scores. In a matter of minutes the match went from a comfortable 2-0 in favor of Argentina to a 2-2 score, ensuring that they would have to go to overtime to decide the match in the best case scenario. At worst, penalties. 🔵 "Wow, I've never seen you so… angry" Steve said from his spot on the couch to your left.

"I know, football brings out the worst in me," you replied without taking your eyes off the television in front of you. "The World Cup is a big thing in Argentina… football in general is. That's why if we don't win today I will kill myself" you added playfully, although a part of you would definitely die if they didn't win the Cup today.

" Still, you never yell or curse like ever,"Wanda intervened. "Where is this all coming from?"

"Yeah, I didn't think you were capable of such rage," Natasha added. "I kinda like it."

"Well, that's because my American personality is very different from my Argentinian personality."

"American personality?" Tony asked with confusion.

"Yeah," you nodded. "My true personality gets… lost in translation. The way I speak, the way I act, my sense of humor, everything is different when I speak Spanish. Argentinian culture and American culture are very different and I have to adapt in order to be a normal person around you guys. Also there’s a lot of things that don’t have a translation, so, yeah… "

"Different how?" Bucky asked, curious to know what this version of you that he apparently didn't know was like.

"Well, we have a different sense of humor, we tend to joke around about everything really. We also are very passionate and affectionate, we kiss and hug with pretty much everyone” you explained. “We also curse a lot, like we casually insult each other in an affectionate way. ‘Boludo’ can be an insult or a term of endearment to call your friends depending on the context. That's why we get very creative when coming up with insults when we really want to hurt someone. You guys couldn’t handle it.”

🔵 If they thought they had seen the worst of you, you proved them wrong when it was time for the penalty kicks. You were a bundle of nerves as you watched the players position themselves to kick. You grabbed Bucky's hand, interlacing your fingers for support. You probably squeezed it harder than you should have, but he didn't complain - the advantages of having super strength. The first penalty kick was taken by the opposing team and even though Argentina's goalkeeper was able to touch the ball, he couldn't prevent the goal. Feeling defeated, you leaned against Bucky, resting your head on his shoulder as you felt your heart racing faster and faster. He gave your hand a firm squeeze as a sign of support, placing a kiss on your head as he murmured words of encouragement.

🔵 Then it was Messi's turn to take the penalty kick and he did it beautifully, securing a goal for Argentina. You jumped out of your seat as you saw the ball bounce against the net, screaming as the camera panned to the players celebrating on TV. Life came back to your face, and even though you were still tense, you felt much more confident.

🔵 You went through all the penalties with the same fear, the same tension and intensity. When it came time for the decisive penalty kick you clung to Bucky by your side. Your hands intertwined tightly as you watched Montiel preparing to kick, knowing that if he got it right the cup belonged to Argentina. Your heart was pounding wildly in your chest and your stomach was spinning. Time seemed to stand still, everything moving in slow motion as Montiel made his run to kick.

🔵 When he scored the goal that secured the victory for Argentina you couldn't contain the scream that escaped from your throat. You jumped up from your place on the couch with teary eyes as you hugged Bucky, clinging to his body as you tried to contain the emotion.

🔵 Although you weren't very effective at it because you ended up kissing Bucky without even realizing what you were doing.

🔵 To escape the embarrassment you felt after that unexpected kiss —and the revelation of your friends' bet–- you proposed eating dessert, hoping that the food would distract your teammates who kept looking at you from the corner of their eyes every time you talked to each other.

🔵 The dessert table had a variety of options including alfajores, pastelitos, pastafrolas, chocotortas and tortas fritas, as well as a couple of pots of dulce de leche

🔵 Everyone was first attracted to the pastafrolas because it was the closest thing to an American apple pie, although you explained the differences to them.

🔵Everyone was very eager to try everything to find out what they liked best, so they took plates and filled them with small pieces of everything so they would have a sample to decide. Then they all sat down on the couches and took turns tasting everything, giving their opinion and arranging it on a list.

🔵 You disagreed with some of their opinions, but overall they were right. Most recognized the superiority of dulce de leche and that was good enough for you.

🔵 I really like the idea of giving Bucky a spoonful of dulce de leche for him to taste, your eyes lingering on his lips and the way they moved over the spoon, delighting in the sound of approval that vibrated in his throat at the sweet taste in his tongue, holding back the need to kiss him to taste the dulce de leche in his mouth.

🔵 While they debated about desserts and which was better than which, you ran to your room in search of the mate set your family had recently sent you from Argentina, as well as the bag of yerba mate you had stashed there. Mate was a must in any Argentinean celebration.

🔵 “What is that?” Thor asked when he saw you pouring the yerba into the mate.

“This is Mate. It’s like coffee for you guys or tea for english people… or… I don’t really know what you drink on Asgard but the point is it’s a really popular drink.” you tried to explain to the Asgardian and the rest of your teammates.

“Oh I know! I’ve seen you drink it on missions” Bucky said and Natasha agreed with him, remembering a time when you explained to her what it was.

“That I did! Mate is my best friend. It’s every Argentinian's best friend. if it were up to us we would live on this alone, but unfortunately our body needs more nutrients.”

“Okay but what is it? How do you drink it?” Clint insisted.

“It’s like tea if tea were drunk in a cup full of loose herbs,” you tried to explain in terms they could understand. “Basically, you fill this cup with Yerba Mate, then you pour hot water into it and drink it through this thing called Bombilla which is basically a kind of straw designed to not let the herbs come through when you drink.” While you were talking you were preparing the mate, arranging the yerba in a little mountain against one of the walls of the cylinder cup to keep the yerba in good condition for as long as possible.

“You can drink it alone or with sugar on it. Usually people in Argentina prefer it alone, but I think it might be too bitter for you so I’ll add some sugar. Here, try it!” you said, passing the mate to Sam. He had a reaction that you could only describe as the Kombucha girl meme, although he ended up liking it.

🔵 In fact, that was the reaction of most of your teammates, surprised by the new taste on their tongue. It was a strange sensation, but once they got used to it they agreed it wasn't so terrible. The sweet hint that the sugar provided definitely helped to familiarize them with the taste.

🔵 When it was Tony's turn, he didn't seem too happy about drinking from the same Bombilla that five other people had put in their mouths before him. “You’re supposed to share it,”you told him when you noticed his hesitation. “In Argentina we share mate with anyone who wants one, friends or not. No self-respecting Argentinean denies mate to anyone.”

“That’s gross,” Tony complained.

 “I'm sure you've put worse things in your mouth.”

🔵 Soon they ended up in an authentic round of mates, circulating the drink while talking about anything and everything, laughing at Sam's jokes and Tony's exaggerations. It was the first time in several weeks that you felt supported, accompanied. Surrounded by your friends while drinking mates, you felt at home again. Today you missed Argentina a little less and it was all thanks to Bucky.

random but have you thought abt gaming and hutao?

funny story anon, when I was writing ga-ming's fake voicelines and needed to give him more characters to talk about, I was considering adding a hu tao voiceline, but decided against it because I didn't really see a reason for them to meet (besides via friends (new liyue 6ang addition?!?!?!)). lowkey I now feel validated bc they don't have any in-game voicelines abt each other, but this would be a very boring ask if it just stopped here lol.

there's something to be said about gaming and hu tao's family baggage vs their cheerful external demeanor vs both doing a job that isn't super well received (?) by people in liyue harbor. but hu tao leans into her eccentricities a lot more while gaming is on the 'likeable by everyone' grind LOL also the dad similarities might increase if we ever get 76th funeral parlor director lore: hu tao's parents have been conspicuously missing forever, where did genshin put them? an interesting possibility would be if the 76th somehow split off from the family trade and subsequently got wiped from the family tree bc of ideological diffs (like ht's beef with baizhu), which could increase gaming and hu tao's possible shared father(?) troubles. but besides that I feel like there's not too much similarity there. They're both enthusiastic outward facing individuals, but idk if they'd have an interesting dynamic if they met.*

Although, you know that voiceline where hu tao does a magic trick and makes a butterfly of fire? and also how she plays with those lion statues outside the ministry of civil affairs? those two things would be straight up gamings alley ngl like he'd be so down for that kind of whimsy and playfulness. also hu tao would be a good candidate for a 2nd lion dance partner. she'd be completely down for doing odd jobs and this is absolutely a fun odd job, at least until she gets tired of it or has to focus on official business lol. idt she's the type to work hard at it; she's just there to try it out because it looked cool but gaming appreciates the enthusiasm regardless. would request to be the lions head in order to lunge at people and also pick greens. also there's potential for a gaming yun jin xingqiu hu tao tea appreciation club

oh also i think smth underrated abt hu tao is how shes like cheery and eccentric but takes her job seriously and has unidentifiable but occasionally present baggage .... which i already mentioned before is similar to how 75% of gm's voicelines are cheery, and then the other 25% is emotional conflict. idk! maybe under the right conditions, they could open up to each other and sympathize

*addendum: imo, hu tao has mostly moved on from her grief over her grandfather's death, and she doesn't have any regrets about the state of their relationship when he passed away, since they were pretty close and never on bad terms. My personal hc is that she still has some things she wished she said, ie. sincere thoughts and feelings from the heart that she usually avoids talking about (she would say "nice speech, but that kind of killed the mood" if someone made one of those anime protag power of friendship monologues). in my head, her grandpa taught her everything about death and funeral customs, played with her/listened to her poetry, pretended to go along w her pranks, and was in general a very loving person, but I don't think hu tao ever explicitly told him "I love you" before he died. she canonically tried to find him right after he passed away but knew that he wouldn't be there. by now i think she's made peace with his death, but still has a certain wistfulness about things she didn't think of saying. and then on the flip side, if ga-ming could see his mom again, he'd probably spend a whole day talking to her i think. he's also not someone to get drunk on grief or regrets, but i don't think he's quite gotten over it completely, and his rocky relationship with his father (before lantern rite 2024) makes this more emotional idk. not sure where I'm going with this, but maybe hu tao would be able to talk him through a bit of this messiness and urge him to simply continue with his own life. or show him that his mother was not at the border, perhaps never lingered there, because she didnt think there was any unfinished business with him or his father that she needed to worry about. the annoying thing about death is that even if the dead person was free of regrets, those who are still living will still miss them. maybe both gaming and hu tao would be able to understand that and/or sympathize with it. or maybe they'd just be silly together who knows, up to you

late night ramble but ig heres my 2 cents of this poll (not directly attaching this to the poll cause im a coward LOL)

ofc, i won't put my thoughts on luci/belphe/asmo. ik we get tidbits of them through their nobles or pb's prev games but i wanna judge them based on how they actually show up in-game. i also know there's prob gonna be some luci lore later when gamigin update is out (atm its like abt 4 or so days till that update's release) but i'll just omit my thoughts on luci for now

i should also put a disclaimer that i don't read any of the unholy board stories unless if it's mammon's, so for the other kings that aren't mammon my opinions are purely based off of main story or event appearances or how they act in comics

satan - honestly pretty ok w him. i'm kinda biased when it comes to mc being recoginized as their own person rather than purely just the descendant of solomon so i like him based on that. idk i don't have any strong opinions abt him i just see him as a very fluffy cat :3

mammon - absolutely love him. 0 flaws. wins the idgaf war. my absolute fav squeak toy. lol ok but fr tho i don't really have any complaints abt him. will spoil tf out of mc and wants to ensure their safety. also sees mc as mc and was even kinda disgusted(? idk a better word for this💀💀) by the fact that a part of solomons soul can be sensed in them, almost as if he doesnt want it to be in the way of mc. also wasnt afraid to call out the fact that sitri kept calling mc solomon. and ofc the love at first sight thing is great too but also the bodyworship (or ig faceworship bc he only just kissed mc's entire face??) before the confession like UGH... absolutely weak for that man (devil?). idk i dont rlly see that many mammon fans rlly anywhere and it saddens me hes such a good char outside of just having huge tibbies. srsly tho pb pls we get it he has huge tits you dont need to constantly bring it up the char sprite is literally right in front of us-

beel - hes ok ig? i think lore-wise hes gonna be one of the more interesting ones considering how "mysterious" he is i.e. constantly wandering, almost being an absent king. like what led to the constant wandering? what did andrealphus mean when he said beel is the key to ending the war? how does his cloning work? i kinda feel bad for bael and the other nobels needing to manage everything while beels away but i don't rlly hate him for it? at least not now considering we don't rlly know the definite reason and i want to assume the best and say he has a valid reason for being absent so he could protect his region. hate is a strong word ig its more of a slight dislike towards beel, but its like this 🤏 small of a dislike im still overall neutral abt him

levi - falling into the majority from the poll i have to agree that levi is my least fav king also lol. i get where he's coming from and why he acts the way he does, i just dont like how he's written? or ig moreso how he's written in the perspective of mc. tho tbh that's more of an mc issue than a levi issue, but i got pretty tired of the story constantly reminding us how pretty levi is (similar to how we always get reminded of how big mammon is/how huge mammons tits are). idk its like a gut feeling to not like/trust him. i also just don't really vibe w him in general even before we were actually introduced to him in main story. hes a good attacker gameplay-wise tho lol

Divine Influence Babeyy!! (Aka Celestial Fankids au thingy)

Finally, they're all finished!!!! Here are the Celestial Fankids I posted about a while ago, complete with a bit of lore and a few headcanons!! They're a little old, so bear with me a bit :']

General HCs:

- Despite being Celestials, because of their unique nature of having two elements, they have their own category name as well: Divines!! Which is what I'm gonna be referring to them as from now on lmao.

- Divines are born the same way their parents are; from the stars!! It takes 2 months for the Divines to be born (in total - their creation starts the first month and ends the second. For example, Seedlin, the Blassoom x Plixie fan child, took 8 months to hatch. Oof.) The first month functions as sort of the 'breeding' stage, and the second as the 'incubation' stage, producing a physical egg, just like normal monsters :]

- Speaking of the Constellations, in fact! The reason the Divines came to be in the first place is because, when each individual pair of Celestials grew close enough, their constellations fused, becoming a new one entirely! For example, instead of Ocean's Tears and Earthen Ellipse, we now have Murky Depths that appears for two months out of the year!

- With the lack of anything for the kids to do, and the giant pitfall a few hundred feet into the continent, obviously Starhenge wasn't exactly the best nursery for young monsterlings. In order to remedy this, the Celestials created Divine Island, a home in a sort of pocket dimension that would allow them to raise their kids in a safe, stimulating environment.

- Divine Island is only accessable to Celestials and Divines, but normal monsters can sit just outside of it in order to get the occupants' attention. They'd need to know where to go though, of course.

- The Cataclysm happened when the Divines were super young and unable to understand what was going on. They were locked inside of Divine Island for their own safety and left to fend for themselves until they were strong enough to leave, when they were young adults. Once they left they learned about what happened and became guardians and leaders to the monsters that were still around.

- also they don't know about Celestial Island or their parents being alive. Yet.

Pluchere, the Attmoz x Loodvigg fanchild:

- The eldest Divine, Pluchere was defaulted to leader because of his age.

- When he gets mad, he creates super dark storm clouds. No thunder or lightning or anything, just. Really dark clouds.

- He can travel through shadows!! As long as a shadow is as big or bigger than him area-wise, he can meld into it and hide and sneak through them. However, if the shadow disappears, like if the lights are turned on or something, he'll pop back out.

- He's got super stubby legs (guess which parent he got that from lmao), so he prefers to fly on clouds instead of walking. The only exception is in Divine Island bc he'll knock everything over.

- He's got a plush Tweedle that his parents gave him as a baby, and now he can't sleep without it - he even learned how to sew so he can keep it in good shape!!

- he's eepy. Often. Got it from Loodvigg, can't sleep well when he's supposed to, and is just constantly tired. Luckily, the dewlap around his neck functions as a built-in pillow!

- Because of his third eye, he's got kinda-sorta clairvoyance. He can see people's greatest regrets and worst memories (albeit they're kinda fuzzy) and can predict disasters!! He absolutely despises his powers because he's being bombarded with horrible things 24/7-

Condair, the Glaishur x Furnoss fanchild:

- he gets his name from a cloud of mist that follows him wherever he goes (which I never draw smh) - his fur is extremely cold, causing moisture to crystalize upon impact, and his skin is extremely hot, causing moisture to evaporate on impact, which makes it stick to his fur- you get the idea.

- Despite the info above, he can, for the most part, regulate his temperature!! For example, he can make himself cool enough to touch without burning anybody.

- After he left Divine Island for the first time, he learned about the Fire elementals and managed to save them far earlier than in canon by just. Diving headfirst into the Living Core and digging them a way out. Pros of being simultaneously the hottest and coldest being in the universe ig?

- Anger. Issues. He has a lot of abandonment issues because of his parents just straight up leaving him and the others behind, and he copes by getting mad and setting things on fire. Luckily the other Divines know how to help calm him down :']

- ironically HATES Boskus (Boskuses? Boski?? Idfk-), they just. Freak him tf out.

- yes, his fur is as soft as it looks, but unless he likes you or you are one of the other Divines, good luck trying to touch it.

- has a soft spot for kids, funnily enough. He can't bring himself to be mad at him the same way he gets mad at everything else.

Seedlin, the Blassoom x Plixie fanchild

- Uses his tail to grip onto things, or to balance himself in the air, kind of like a blubberfly!!

- hate hate HATES having to walk on the ground, it just feels. Bad™. Gotta be flying or he will cry.

- His glass skull doubles as a fully-functioning terrarium!!! There's a bunch of moss and other such greens in there, along with the centerpiece - a bright pink flower, just like his father's :]

- Loves sleeping in the sun!! Y'know, terrarium and all. He even has some lights above his bed!! How the hell does he sleep? No clue smh.

- speaking of which, he flies in his sleep! The others have to drag him down to the ground when he sleeps, or he'll end up not actually resting.

- Not only is he capable of controlling plants and plasma, he's able to combine his two elements and create these indestructible plasma plants!! They're bright pink and feel kinda gummy-ish?? Freaky, but neat!

- Speaking of which, he has a giant monster-eating (not really) flytrap made of that same stuff! His name's Audie and he's Seedlin's pet and best friend :]

..he also tends to try and eat anything that he can fit in his mouth, including the Divines (minus Seedlin, ofc). He's getting better tho dw

- as a kid, Seedlin really struggled to fly, because of a mix of tiny wings and big ol tail. It kept him in check for a while, and made him pretty easy to take care of for Blassoom and Plixie! Once he started flying tho.. Oh boy

Malik, the Syncopite x Scaratar fanchild:

- Despite only having one eye, Malik doesn't struggle with depth perception! How?? Idk man, monster magic.

- Also, don't worry!! The crystals growing out of his skin don't hurt at all, it's like growing fingernails or something along the lines.

- Malik can actually heal physical wounds with Good Vibes™! Y'know, healing crystals and all that-

- Be careful around his pincers?? Claws?? Whatever they are they're s h a r p, like literal glass.

- Wise™. He's the braincell of the group, and his cousin Pluchere's right-hand man. He usually helps him decipher his visions and figure out the best way to go about the impending disasters.

- the crystals that fall off his body often have similar healing abilities to himself, albeit to a much lesser extent, and are often given out as gifts. he doesn't mind it much.

- His wings (that you almost never see) are actually quite beautiful! their appearance mirrors that of stained glass, and when sunlight shines through them, is projects wonderful colors all over the room!

- Despite being so large and clunky, his claws are actually quite delicate and precise! He can perform the most intricate acts with ease.. Given they can be done with just four fingers.

Rivette, the Vhamp x Galvana fankid:

- Being the Celestial of Electricity (at least halfway), Rivette is, understandably, the most hyperactive of all of the Divines! She's constantly on the move, and can never sit still. She's also extremely prone to zoomies.

- Big!! Brain!!! An inventor just like her mother and father, she spends her time tinkering with whatever pieces of scrap she can find, usually accidentally creating weapons of mass destruction in the process.

- Speaking of which, she owns a staff that she wields on the regular! (I just forgot to draw it HSHS-) She actually welded it herself as a child (with the help of Condair) out of random pieces of scrap metal she found around Starhenge, and it works as kind of an outlet for her electric powers, doubling as a sort of lightning rod!

- she's. Very clumsy. Trips over a lot, rams headfirst into walls, ect ect. The fact that she has wheels built into her feet doesn't help much either. Dw, tho, she can put herself back together just fine!! ..But her torso might end up backwards sometimes.

- She's an older sister figure to the Wubboxes (because yes, technically THEY'RE the baby brothers), and an aunt to the Wublins! She'd die for each and every one of them.

- the weird. Collar. Thing around her neck is, of course, a part of her body! Rivette needs to be actively holding it down mentally, because its default position is sitting upright. Of course, as a baby, Rivette couldn't exactly do that, so it stayed up for a majority of her childhood until she figured it out. It's essentially second nature to her now, though!

Fossoil, the Hornacle x Torrt Fankid:

- The very definition of a gentle giant, Fossoil is HUGE, and strong enough to pick up rocks and hurl them across the monster world! However, he's learned to control his strength, and is one of the gentlest Divines.

- Because of his element of Earth, Fossoil's skin is extraordinarily tough, and is near impossible to pierce with even the sharpest blade. Which is strange, because he also has claws that are capable of cutting straight through diamond like it's butter.. Wonder which would win?

- Fossoil is an artist! And a very good one at that - he can draw, and paint, but his favorite form of art is pottery, and since he's able to essentially create infinite clay out of nothing, it's no wonder why he's a big fan. He usually gets Condair to fire them for him-

- He inherited Hornacle's balance and motor skills issues, causing him to just kinda.. start falling over for no apparent reason. Luckily, though, he's learned to balance himself before he hits the ground! His baby form, though? Not so much.

- One of his favorite past-times is just chilling in thermal vents at the bottom of the living ocean... Giant hot tubs,,,

- As a kid, Fossoil had little to no control over his thagomizer - he was like a baby Stogg!! So, in order to remedy this, Hornacle and Torrt.. Stuck corks at the end of his spikes. Brilliant idea, guys, well done.

- He's figured out a way to help Condair with his anger issues - play fighting! Whenever Condair starts getting frustrated and aggressive, the two will wrestle and fight until they're both tuckered out and Condair's vented out his rage. Because Fossoil is nearly indestructible and has excellent control over his own strength, there's a near zero percent chance of either of them getting hurt! So yeah, play fighting!! Best form of therapy :]

- He's also pretty much the only one that can hug Malik without getting hurt, because yk. Malik's covered in broken glass essentially and Fossoil's skin is impenetrable-
