Darian

Darian has absolutely zero sense of fashion. He dresses like one of the most guys ever.

Darian's mode of dress is a nod to 70s and 80s rocker looks as well as biker fashion from the same decades. Jeans, big boots, and often a short sleeved shirt that is either a band or novelty shirt. Lots of times his clothes are a little worn out, or intentionally distressed in some way. Sometimes he'll crop a shirt or rip the sleeves off to make a muscle shirt.

Very rarely does he wear long sleeves, but when he does, the cuffs are ripped off or have been chewed on and stretched to make them less restrictive of his hands. The only long sleeves that do not receive this treatment would be those of his leather jackets and winter coat.

Here are some outfits of his that I have either drawn or would like to draw him in someday!

As for his jewelry preferences, despite having quite a few facial piercings as well as his nipples done, his jewelry is very plain. He goes for stainless steel with no designs or gemstones. If by chance he is wearing a bracelet or a necklace it was something given to him by Ira.

Gladys

Gladys is definitely one of my most varied characters when it comes to looks, so there's quite a few options for what she considers to be 'every day' outfits! Generally speaking, though, she sticks to reds, blacks and pinks for all of her clothing. She leans heavily into motifs of love/Valentine's Day as well as certain elements of the gothic subculture, and to a degree is inspired by both the 1930s and the 1960s. I've seen people talk about an aesthetic called coquette, I believe? And I think she sort of falls into that depending on the outfit.

She likes clothes that show off her figure (and some skin) in some way, and she likes to be extra even when she's casual.

She's also a bit of a DIY-or-die girly, so a lot of her clothes she has made herself and are completely original or based off of hard to come by patterns and pieces.

Here's some outfits I have already or have mean meaning to draw her in that can fall under everyday wear!

Gladys has quite the extensive jewelry collection, and is always wearing earrings. She's fond of big, clunky novelty earrings especially, and has specific earrings to match specific outfits. She likes rose gold jewelry the most, but will settle for any metal.

Outside of earrings, she wears a large choker around her neck to hide the scar from her decapitation [a very recent addition to her character, as she's currently being rewritten.] and occasionally some rings.

I based her style on the soft girl aesthetic, since I feel like it really fits the type of girly, soft fashion that they were having for her. I also feel like it greatly foils Mal, who style is more alt. I really like the first one the most. I find the type of cottagecare type of shirt that she's wearing so cute, and I feel like with the headband, it's a great homage to the outfit that Aurora wears at the beginning of the 1959 film, Sleeping Beauty.

With her villain outfit, though I like the pink outfit she wears before her transformation better, I definitely don't think the villain outfit is bad at all. I do actually kinda like some aspects of it, and think it's overall okay. But I do have gripes with it.

I feel like the colors are too light; it's supposed to be the outfit she wears when she turns evil, which contrasts the pink outfit she wore. So I don't think the colors should be still be pink.

So I decided to change the color to a red color, with some gray and deep black colors. Not only do I feel like it contrasts her pink outfit better, but it makes her look more menacing. It also is shocking, since not only is she now acting differently than she usually did, but now she is dressing completely different than she usually does, which I find to greatly communicate that she isn't the same exact person as she once was.

When she goes out, she really adores those small girly purses, quilted and elegant from Coco Chanel, Guess or Hermes. The whole "rococo" style hides the fact that her purse in those occasions mostly contains a few makeup items, her phone, a fake ID card and a pepper spray.

When she's not attending people, Sybille likes Mickael Kors handbag, which can definitely provide more space inside. She has always preferred handbag rather than back pack anyway.

Cellphone:

She's more of a Samsung girl than Apple. From her clients, she always manages to snatch the latest items, and she's craving the last tendance. Currently, she has the new Samsung Flip. Easy to carry in her purse.

Chapstick/Lip Balm:

Various items, depending on her clothes and the mood of the night. She has a profound love for liquid lipsticks with shiny colors, the very ones made by Tom Ford, Fenty Beauty or Guerlain.

For moistering her lips, she will prefer clinical brand like Erborian (from South Korea).

Wallet:

To match her purses, she has several wallets from different brands. Her favorite is still her little black one from Chanel. She can carry enough bills if she wants to hang out, and it's far enough when she knows she won't have to pay for her drinks and food.

Umbrella:

Elegant and large umbrella (for the style) that she always picks from the same store. She doesn't know the brand, but she's sensitive to the luxurious atmosphere of the store (they are also selling shoes). She always picks the white one, with the golden border.

Jewelry:

Ouf, it's hard to pick! Sybille is particularly fond of jewels, and she's lucky enough to collect a few from her clients. Depending on whom she's attending at night, she could change her style or wear what they have offered in the past.

She particularly loves pink gold, she has several bracelets. She likes large jewels around her wrists, but will prefer small and discreet ones around her neck. Sybille never wears rings, or very rarely.

Water bottle:

She hydrates herself quite well during the day, and to be aesthetically pleasing, she often buys those glass bottles with a golden cap. She likes to add lemons and cucumbers, a good way to get vitamins after her daily work out.

Other Items:

Earphones. A mirror in her bag. A set of black gloves. A public transport card (because we never know). Gym card. Coupons from convenience stores. Business cards from her clients. any caulikale HCs?

I've got you covered, anon! I've actually been playing around with writing Caulifla and Kale into my next fic chapter (I've been a bit on and off with it lately), so pretty cool timing on this one.

Caulifla is often protective of Kale, who had a past of abandonment and bullying. Her gang has essentially a "mess with the pup, you get the full bite of the pack" philosophy at Caulifla's instruction. However, she tries not to coddle her and is very proud of her learning to defend herself. She still sometimes leans to one extreme, pushing her to handle things herself even when its very far out of her comfort zone.

Cauli learns to be better with listening to Kale's feelings after the Tournament, Kale simultaneously trying to assert herself more. Kale usually follows Caulifla's lead with whatever she has planned for the day but she's learning to use her voice to suggest what she wants- and voice when she gets upset when Caulifla does something wrong. She tends to talk a bit louder when it's just her and Caulifla.

Kale likes picking out clothes and accessories she thinks would look cute on Caulifla, who accepts them despite her not being overly fond of the cutesy girly aesthetic. She likes seeing Kale smile when she wears them... and sometimes she eventually admits that they kind of work for her. Kale would definitely get the strawberry dresses- she's initially a bit bummed about it, because she wants the black but she supposes Caulifla will call dibs on that one. Imagine the smile on her face when Caulifla picks the pink- "Oh hell yeah, I love pink!"

In terms of music vibes: Kale's got a lot of the soft pining stuff, Mitski and such. "Pink in the Night", maybe "Strawberry Blond". I feel like Cauli would outwardly be into the punkish rock stuff, but at the same time I'm really getting vibes of "I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend" by girl in red. Their tournament dynamic and their getting stronger together I can especially tie to "Be Strong and Hit Stuff" from RWBY Volume 8.

Judging the Danganronpa x Sanrio character pairings

You may have already heard that a DANGANRONPA X SANRIO line of crossover merch was announced a few days ago! Which is obviously AMAZING, because they’re combining cutesy characters that have often been marketed to wee children with everybody’s favorite murderdeathkill game! I LOVE IT.

I have a niece who went through a Sanrio/Hello Kitty phase, so I actually know a few of these characters. In turn, this means that I have THOUGHTS on how the DR1 and Sanrio cast were paired up.

Granted, I still had to look up a lot of these guys and read about them. But now I feel adequately educated to the point where I can judge just how well the Danganronpa and Sanrio pairings actually match up. 

Makoto Naegi/Cinnamoroll - Obviously this totally works because Makoto IS something of a cinnamon roll, eh? EH? But Cinnamoroll is said to be shy albeit still very friendly. He also likes to seek out fun new adventures. So, aside from “very friendly,” I’m not sure that this sounds like Makoto. I also doubt that calling a character a “cinnamon roll” is common slang in Japan. So this is whatever.

Sayaka Maizono/Wish Me Mell - Mell has the power to connect people’s hearts by simply stating the feelings they keep inside. She was initially withdrawn and believed she didn’t have any friends, but the people who cared for her finally broke through her shell and convinced her that she DOES have friends. So uh, Maizono... I guess music can also bring out people’s feelings? And perhaps you could plausibly HC that Sayaka has often felt like her surrounding friends were “fake” and only there because of her celebrity status. There’s not really much to go on here. 

Leon Kuwata/Tiran - Tiran is an orange T-rex that is said to be scatterbrained but still a strong and reliable leader. Meanwhile, Leon has orange hair, and he’s certainly strong and kind of scatterbrained sometimes. It sorta works.

Kyoko Kirigiri/Marroncream - Marroncream is bright, positive, and fashionable. She is talented at making crafts and sweets. She lives in Paris. She has nearly nothing in common with Kyoko, although Kyoko did live abroad a lot in her younger years. So I could try to latch onto the Paris thing.

Hifumi Yamada/Pokopon - Pokopon is a raccoon that loves to read but dislikes ghosts and “the thunder god.” (uh... what?) He also finishes his sentences with the unusual suffix “-das.” Of course, Hifumi loves to write (which certainly is connected to reading), and he likes to end all names with a weird suffix (”-dono”), so I can see how they might make a cute pair.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru/Pekkle - Pekkle is a duck who is good-natured and kind. He loves to sing and dance. It kind of sounds like he should’ve been matched with Sayaka, but instead he’s here with Taka. While Ishimaru is definitely a good person, I don’t think most people would immediately describe him as “kind.” And he certainly isn’t known for his love of music.

Yasuhiro Hagakure/Monkichi - Monkichi is a laid-back, easygoing guy who is upbeat and loves puns. His dream is to become a poet. It’s said that once he sets his mind on something, there is no stopping him! And in comparison, Hagakure is... well, he’s kind of laid-back in the sense that he’s kind of lazy? But he’s actually pretty high-stress a lot of the time, too. Honestly, there’s not much linking the two.

Chihiro Fujisaki/Kurousa and Shirousa - Shirousa is the white one and is the older sibling to Kurousa, the brown one. Shirousa is described as an energetic leader and Kurousa is described as being nice but lazy. They like to make cakes. What does any of this have to do with Chihiro? Beats me. This particular pairing is nonsense.

Byakuya Togami/Badtz-Maru - Badtz-Maru is said to have a bad attitude and dreams of being “the boss of everything” when he grows up. He tends to act a bit selfish, and he mocks things he dislikes/disagrees with. He enjoys expensive food and collecting photos of movie villains. With the exception of that last point, I’d have to say that this sounds like a near-perfect match for Togami.

Mondo Owada/Goropikadon - The Goropikadon are a group of cave boys whose actual names are Goro (blue hair), Pika (pink hair), and Don (teal hair). Goro is always hungry and joking around. PIka is a thoughtful, shy mama’s boy. Don is serious and places a high value on honesty. Overall, I suppose that how quick Mondo is to get angry and resort to violence kind of makes him seem like a stereotypical caveman? But in terms of their distinct personalities, only Don’s focus on honesty rings true for Mondo. 

Toko Fukawa/Lloromannic - Another multi-character one. The Llormannic are a pair of creatures named Berry (the black one, who is male) and Cherry (the pink one, who is female). They are mischievous and love to play pranks on humans. Cherry was originally alone and created Berry for companionship; however, she mixed up her magic spell ingredients and used salt when she meant to use sugar, which resulted in Berry turning out to be a more hostile being than Cherry. I suppose the fact that Berry is a darker creation of Cherry’s sort of reflects the relationship between Toko and her other self, Genocide(r) Syo/Jack. However, Berry and Cherry are still best friends. Toko and Syo/Jack are definitely not that.

Celestia Ludenberg/Kuromi - Kuromi is the rival of a bunny named “My Melody” who doesn’t appear in this promotion. Kuromi is said to look “tough and punk” in her jester’s hat with the pink skull on it, but in reality she is very girly. She enjoys writing in her diary, reading romance books, cooking, and checking out good-looking guys. I suppose Celestia did have that dream of living in a mansion where she was served by handsome guys dressed as vampires? So... they both like hot guys? But that’s all I’ve got here. Pretty sure this pairing only exists for aesthetic reasons. And admittedly, their aesthetics mesh very well.

Aoi Asahina/Keroppi - Keroppi lives with his family on the edge of Donut Pond. He is bubbly, a fantastic swimmer and, because of the name of his home pond, is often associated with donuts and/or things that are donut-shaped. Ok, so this was an obvious pairing, then. They nailed it. Probably the single best pairing they came up with.

Sakura Ogami/My Sweet Piano - Yes, the character’s name is literally “My Sweet Piano.” She’s described as soft, kind, and girly. Given Sakura’s secret love of girly things, I can see how this soft, pink, girly sheep would be something she’d love to be around. 

Junko Enoshima (...?)/Hello Kitty - Hello Kitty (a.k.a. Kitty White) is described by Sanrio as “cute, bright, sweet, kind-hearted and tomboyish.” They also say that Kitty is very close with her sister, Mimmy. As for Junko... look, the only reason I think maybe this is supposed to be Junko is because Mukuro already has her own Sanrio matchup (see the next entry), but in terms of her appearance, this “Junko” sure looks like it’s “Junkuro.” The telltale sign is that giant bow on the left side of the head, which only Mukuro-as-Junko has ever worn. I doubt we’re supposed to be thinking that they did two Mukuros in two different outfits, though? 

It’s like this: If it’s Junko, well, I guess both Junko and Kitty are icons within their respective brands. And Junko tries to put on a “cute and bright” exterior persona, I guess? But that’s pretty thin. On the other hand, if this is Mukuro in disguise, this is actually a semi-decent matchup! Mukuro is arguably tomboyish and certainly very close to her sister (at least from her own perspective), so these two are not without their parallels. 

In either case, both Kitty and the Unknown Despair Sister have a big bow on the left side of their head. Which I think is the real reason they’ve been paired, honestly.

Mukuro Ikusaba/Little Twin Stars - Kiki and Lala are a pair of twins that were born on December 24th. Mukuro is one half of a pair of twins ALSO born on December 24th. Instant connection! Kiki (the blue-haired boy) loves fishing and inventing things. He is curious and cheeky. Lala (the pink-haired girl) loves drawing, writing poems, and cooking. She is rather timid. In short, the “twins with the same birthdate” thing is the only thing connecting Mukuro to these two. Still, it’s not bad.

my updated makeup routines✨

i love love love makeup. my favorite thing to do is to switch it up and find new products and techniques that work really well with my features. since the summer has started and i’ve had much more free time, i’ve been playing around with my makeup styles and how i do my makeup for different occasions. as of right now, i have three makeup routines: my everyday “no makeup” makeup, my everyday glam routine, and my full glam routine. keep in mind, i have very oily skin so some of these techniques won’t work well for everyone!

“no makeup” makeup 

my grocery shopping/running errands look. if i had ten minutes to do my makeup, this is the routine i would go for. not long-wearing, but it helps me look more “put together” when i’m being a bum.

base:

my first step is to use a primer. for primer, i use the elf putty primer to fill in my pores so i look smooth, then over top i use a gripping primer to keep my makeup on my face. i like the milk hydrogrip and the elf watermelon primers.

next, i powder my face either with the maybelline loose setting powder or the fenty powder foundation so i have a bit more coverage but also so my oily skin won’t break down my base makeup as quickly.

for “foundation”, i use the glossier skin tint mixed with the covergirl matte bb cream. the glossier skin tint is not good if you have oily skin, but combined with the bb cream it is much more long wearing. i either use my fingers or a beauty blender. 

then i bronze, and i put that on my cheeks, forehead, nose, and blend it into my eye socket and under my eyebrows, flicking up once i get to my temples. this emphasizes my bone structure in a way that’s more natural looking than contour. i really like the covergirl queen bronzer.

moving on to blush, i use the milk cheek stick from sephora or the cream blush stick from colourpop. i put it on my cheeks, nose, and some on my chin and forehead to make everything look put together. 

eyes:

i prime my eyelids with my eyeshadow primer and swipe some of my blush onto my lids so everything looks a bit more “effortless”.

next I do my brows. i use the maybelline brow pencil in a shade that matches my real eyebrow hair color. i continually brush through them with a spoolie so they look natural, and rub my bronzer on the beginning of them so it doesn’t look as harsh.

for my lashes, i heat my eyelash curler, curl my lashes, apply a brown tubing mascara, and curl again. the mascara i use is the maybelline snapscara in the shade brown since it looks more natural than black. i also use a lash serum to promote growth.

lips: 

for my lips, i use a red chapstick to give my lips a “naturally” red look (either the dior lip balm or burts bees), a light pink lipgloss in the middle, and the fenty gloss bomb in hot chocolit as a “liner” that looks more natural and moisturized.

everyday glam makeup

very heavily inspired by the victoria’s secret angels. definitely more “high trust” than my full glam routine, kind of a “cute” look instead of a “sexy” one. plays with shimmer, pink tones, highlight, more of an effortless vibe. if you guys remember my fashion post, this ties into the girly & romantic aesthetic.

base:

my priming step is the same here, and i still set my primer with powder before going in with the rest of my makeup.

tinted moisturizer!!! to get my perfect shade and finish, i mix the covergirl matte bb cream for oily skin with the glossier skin tint like above.

for concealer i use the colourpop tinted moisturizer on the areas i want to highlight. for extra brightening, i use the maybelline fit me concealer in a shade thats way lighter than my skin tone and i put a small amount on the bridge of my nose to give it some extra depth.

instead of contour i use bronzer. bronzer is used to bring warmth to the face, so it is important to place bronzer in the places the sun would naturally hit/tan you. bronzer is not the same as contour; bronzer is always warm toned (hence bringing warmth/making you look tanner) and contour is always cool or neutral toned (because it is supposed to mimic shadows). putting bronzer where you put your contour can make your makeup look muddy, and a lot of bronzers contain shimmer which you don’t want in a contour. i put my bronzer on my cheeks and forehead with a big fluffy brush for a sun kissed look, and with a smaller brush i put a little at the top of my nose bridge. it adds depth and makes it look like i contoured my nose without me having to actually do it.

then i set my concealer. i use the maybelline fit me powder in the shade medium, press my beauty blender into the powder, dab the excess off on the back of my hand, and then i press the powder into my skin.

for this look, i prefer to look more youthful than snatched. so for blush, i like to put it on the apples of my cheeks and the tip of my nose. i use shimmery powder blush, and my favorites are the baked milani blushes or the elf blush palette for dark skin.

i highlight my skin with the shimmer color i put on my eyelid in order for things to look more cohesive. since i have some texture in the center of my cheeks, i keep my highlight closer to my temples, on the tip of my nose, and down the bridge. i then take a brighter glitter eyeshadow and, using a more precise brush, put that right in the center of the areas on my nose that i highlighted for more dimension.

eyes:

i do my eyeshadow before my eyebrows now. 

for eyeshadow, i usually put my bronzer in my crease and my outer v, and sometimes blend that out with a lighter/skin tone shade. on the lid, i put a light shimmer eyeshadow for contrast. on the inner corner, i use a very bright glitter eyeshadow, and lightly blend it onto the beginning of my lid. i also use the same eyeshadows on my bottom lid.

i use a tubing mascara since it’s gentle on the eyelashes, then i go in with regular mascara to make my lashes longer. my favorite regular mascaras are damn girl from toofaced (it has an antiflaking formula), the kush mascara from milk, and the maybelline lash sensational. all the mascaras i like are for lengthening. i also curl my lashes before and after putting on mascara.

this is when i do my eyebrows. i use a spoolie to shape them into a shape i like. using a pencil a shade or two lighter than my actual eyebrow color, i fill in the sparse areas and try to make my eyebrows as even as possible. 

for fake lashes, i usually use half lashes or wispy lashes. i like the ardell demi-wispies (i cut these in half and stack them), the kiss lashes in matte silk, the kiss lashes in teddy, and the koko lashes in queen bees. the idea is for people to still be able to see the eyeshadow despite me having lashes on.

lips:

since the base and eyes are the main focus of this look, the lips are always kept nude. i line my lips with a brown lipliner close to my skin tone (i use colourpop’s lipliner in BFF #3) and then fill it in with either a brown nude lipstick (sephora’s rouge lacquer lipstick in shade 43 be proud) and too with a clear gloss, or i fill it in with a pink/peachy nude and top with the fenty gloss bomb in the original shade.

this is my full beat look. if i’m going out at night with my friends, or when i want makeup to be especially long-wearing, this is usually the routine i follow. 90s supermodel inspired, soft glam, fully matte, snatched/lifted, all nude/brown tones. lines up with my minimalistic & edgy style. 

base:

during the colder months, i like to use a pore-filling primer with a gripping primer on top, usually the elf putty primer in original or matte, and the elf watermelon primer or the milk hydrogrip primer like i said before. but during the summer, i have to use the becca ever-matte primer. it has a huge learning curve, but once you know how to use it, it’s a godsend for oily skin.

my first step is contour. i use the too faced born this way concealer in a color two shades darker than my skin tone and always with a cool undertone to mimic shadows. i put a small amount on my cheekbones to make them look higher, three lines on my forehead for depth, and i line my jawline to give the illusion of a smaller chin. then, i blend everything together with a beauty blender. to make it easy, you can use whatever concealer you like in a darker shade as a cream contour. 

next i conceal. i use the teint idole concealer from lancôme in one shade lighter than my skin tone, and i put concealer in all the places i want to highlight: under my eyes (a little by the sides of my nose, a line on the outside of my eye to lift), above my top lip, the middle of my forehead and chin, and a strip down my nose bridge. a little of this concealer goes a long way; i use less than half a pea-size for my entire face. for a little extra brightening, i use a really light colored concealer but only one dot in the inner corners of my eyes and a little on the nose bridge. for this, i just use the maybelline fit me concealer. before i add my foundation and blush, i make sure there are no harsh lines between my concealer and contour. 

i use a cream blush. to everyone who wears makeup, look into cream blush. it’ll change your life for the better. blush is an underrated but very important step in my makeup routine; blush can shape your face even better than contour. when i want my face to look lifted and sultry, i put my blush on my cheekbones close to my hairline and blend upwards. i use either the milk makeup cheek stick or the colourpop stick blush.

finally i go in with my fenty powder foundation. using a kabuki brush, i tap into my compact and then add the foundation to the parts of my face which have no concealer, blush, or contour first. then, i lightly go over my contour and blush, and around the edges of my concealer. this really saves you if you haven’t blended very well or went too heavy handed on the liquid products you used, since going over it with your skin toned powder tones the contour etc. down. i use the fenty powder foundation. it is very lightweight feeling in comparison to liquid foundation, and it never feels like i have a mask of product on my face when i use a powder. however, some of my favorite liquid foundations are the estee lauder double wear (full coverage matte), the too faced born this way (both the matte and regular versions), the fenty soft matte, and the anastasia beverly hills luminous foundation. at the drugstore, i like the nyx born to glow, the maybelline fit me, and the loreal infallible foundation.

setting powder is a must if you have oily skin. i prefer loose powders, but pressed powders also work, especially if you’re on the dry side. before setting my concealer, i blend out any creasing that happened. then i pour a small amount of powder into the lid, dip my sponge into it, then tap the excess off on the back of my hand (which evenly disperses the powder on the sponge too), then i press and roll the powder into my skin. i set every place that i put concealer with the laura mercier translucent loose setting powder in the shade honey, since it is lighter than my skin tone and is also a nice warm shade without being too yellow. because i use a powder foundation, i don’t have to set the rest of my face. the maybelline fit me loose setting powder in the shade medium is also a favorite of mine. 

after i set my makeup, i do bake the areas that i know will get very oily very quickly, so my nose, my chin, and my upper cheeks. if you have normal or dry skin, i wouldn’t recommend this at all. know what works for you and your skin type! i usually do my eye makeup while the powder sits. instead of wiping the excess powder away at the end i actually use a brush and press it into my skin in order to avoid any patchiness.

eyes:

my eyebrows are a pretty nice shape naturally (and i groom them weekly), so doing my eyebrows is usually pretty simple. i like to outline the bottom of my eyebrows with either a pomade or a darker pencil, then i fill in my eyebrows with a lighter colored eyebrow pencil, mimicking hairlike strokes so it looks natural. i then go over everything with an eyebrow gel. unlike base products, i would never pay a lot for eyebrow products. my favorite eyebrow pomade is the milani pomade, though the anastasia dipbrow is a classic. my favorite eyebrow pencil is the maybelline brow ultra slim, and the gel i use is the benefit gimme brow but i’ve been meaning to try the new nyx brow glue.

before i put on eyeshadow, i use an eyeshadow primer. i get really oily eyelids, so i need that barrier so my eyeshadow won’t crease. i put a very small amount onto my brush and blend it out on my eyelids. it also creates a blank canvas so my eyeshadows can pop more.

i won’t go in-depth with eyeshadow, but i will say my “formula” is usually as follows: a color slightly darker than my skin tone in the crease, a dark color on the outer v, and a really light color on the lid. sometimes i use a shimmer for my inner corner highlight, and sometimes i use a matte color instead. eyeliner isn’t necessary, but sometimes i use it in my waterline or by tightlining, and sometimes i use eyeshadow instead for a smoked out look.

for this look, i always use cat-eye shaped lashes, or half-lashes, or a few individual lashes on the outer corners of my eyes. it all adds to the “lifted” effect that i’m going for. 

lips:

since my lips are naturally very big, i almost never put color on them since it always comes across as trying too hard. i like to stick with a nude ombre look. i use a lipliner close to my skin tone first (bff #3 by colourpop), rub my lips together to blend the liner out, add a light colored nude in the center, blend again, line the very outer parts of my lips with a dark brown, and finally blend again. sometimes i add a gloss, usually the fenty gloss bomb in the shade fu$$y or i use a gold colored gloss to make my lips look more warm toned so they match my eyeshadow.

Okay, now I’ve recently seen people complaining that Pinky Suavo does not have his verbal tics and doesn’t show any neurodivergent qualities. My ADHD having ass begs to differ. Pinky is still neurodiverse even when he’s Suavo! So here’s why, along with some neurodiverse headcanons sprinkled in.

out of curiosity do you prefer the original 2001 or the 2010 revival retj costumes? (personally save for a few exceptions i prefer at least the 2001 costume execution, but i haven't too much thought to the designs)

.So like basicaly everything related to this musical my favorites are a case by case scenario. Costumes is mostly 2010 I love how they took the kind of historical but not really aesthetic, added all the sequins and went with it. (And I am answering this with random photos from the official site because I cannot find my retj files)

First in general my one true love when it comes to costumes is long, wide coats. So basically my first major costume love was this. Long, wide, flowy and with all the sequins. Also the fact that they remove the coats and the vibe changes in different ways for each one of them is amazing.

That being said I have always thought that this show would benefit from an act two costume change. Something that makes it more somber to fit the story. It could even be the same shapes and silhouettes, but in darker tones, with more black and shifting the texture to fabrics and trims instead of sequins and rhinestones.

Ensemble: 2010, I just love the look in general and how each family has a distinct silhouette and style plus how all of them are unique and have so much detail. But I am weak for the few female ensemble designs with pants 2001 had.

Paris: definitely 2010, the original one is way too extra even for that version

Le poete: none of them. 2001 has no shape and 2010 looks like a regular tuxedo.

La mort: 2010 but the very first version not the newer ones if the makeup is done right. 2001 is conceptually good but the hair gives me a lot of questions.

Le prince: 2010 but by a really small margin, it would have benefited from different materials, the brown leather doesn't say most powerful man in the city (2010 design with 2001 materials please)

Frère Laurent: 2010 again by a really small margin, again don't love the leather, but at least it is interesting my thoughts on 2001 are "meh".

Lady Montaigu: 2010 Have you seen that train? I love this costume so much. It is gorgeous, the wig ismade in the smartest way, that train changing sides is epic, and the whole thing just says this is the matriarch of a powerful family 100/10

Lady Capulet: 2001 Long velvet coat with rised collar that fits like a glove? And then reveals a beautiful dress underneath? What else do you want? It is great and fits the character perfectly, a different hairstyle, some crystals to the coat and a couple small changes to the dress and it fits in the new design perfectly. 2001 Lady Capulet and 2010 Lady Montaigu is the power duo we deserve. Also what is the 2010 dress? It is so weird.

Compte Capulet: Both actually. For different reasons. Same as lady Capulet 2001 with a few more decorations would fit in 2010. Just give me one for act one and one for act two

La nourrice: 2010. Not a huge fan of the hairstyle but I love it, and I love how it is a simplified version of the capulet costumes. If you read into it you can see she is an important servant with rank enough to wear the family colors but not enough money to go all fancy.

Tybalt: 2010. I really feel like some characters blend into the background in 2001 and Tybalt gets the worse of it. But then you get the fancy coat and all the small detailing in 2010. It does fit in with the ensemble but he still stands out from the crowd.

Mercutio: 2010 Long flowy coat, flowy sleeves with sheer undersleeves, all the glitter. This costume design peaks on mercutio.

Benvolio: 2010 He would benefit a lot from an act two costume change. The shiny costume while singing the saddest song in the show feels weird. But still 2010 coats are my favorite

Romeo: 2010 Again he is the lead and the glow up benefits him. He keeps the romantic ruffled shirt while becoming more grand as befits the heir to the house. Also the white ball costume+blue coat is one of my favorite costume looks ever. He really needs a wedding exclusive costume, not just a coat, and something different for act two but I love the entire look.

Juliette: 2010 From all the characters that felt underdesigned in 2001 Juliette had the worse of it. Her medieval sleeves were iconic, but she didn't get anything else that made her shine. While the 2010 dress if glorious. Layers and layers of satin and chiffon in the same silhouette as the rest of the family but different at the same time. I have this concept that juliette dressed in what her mother sees as fashionable: the same idea as her cousins, but with more layers, longer, and more covered, sort of old fashioned. Just imagine baby faced cecilia cara in the 2010 dress. That is my dream. The cloak gets a solo mention because it is glorious. The ball dress is so intricate but girly at the same time. The wedding dress is so fancy and you can believe it is one of her regular gowns that she chose to get married since it is slightly fancier. And the death dress could be grander, but the way it mirrors la mort is beautiful. Only please tune down the pink makeup, she would look way better in more natural shades.

If you read "I have a lot of thoughts and ideas on the design of this show" you are right I have a full design made for it with both sets and costumes. Maybe I'll post it one day

A finger points at the black strawberry dress in the window of a shop they are passing by. They aren't a big fan of what could be considered girly clothes but. "You would look cute in that." it definitely does fit Rinri. It's almost as if it were made for her. "Let's go inside so you can try it on." maybe they'll find something for themselves as well.

Rinri’s gaze follows her friend’s finger curiously. It’s a lovely day out, walking through some of the shopping districts, wandering aimlessly. There’s a cute cafe that’s the end goal, but they simply meander on their way. 

“You think so?” She hums, finger tapping at her lips absentmindedly. It does fit her aesthetics well enough, she she does love playing dress up with Aishi when they’re out - it can’t hurt. 

“Alright, you got me. After you!” Rinri grins, following her friend into the store, making a beeline for the rack. “Maybe there’s something that matches you can try on,” She mused quietly, flipping around the rack. 

“Would a dress be comfy today?” They certainly didn’t wear particularly feminine clothing just about ever, but there was a pretty cute matching pink version of the dress. There seemed to be some shirts and jackets from the same collection too, at least.

Hi! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I wanted to come here and talk about my favorite villagers of animal crossing and why. I thought it would be cool to share! 💕

Also the whole “me vs villager” thingie. Teehee 💘

Anyway, so I have three favorite villagers: Sable, Reese, and Marina 💓💓💓

So Sable the hedgehog...she is one of my faves because, true story: I’m the oldest sibling of 3 girls, I wanted to be a fashion designer as a child, went to a “fashion” college, and learned to sew on a sewing machine at the age of 11. And I have naturally dark brown hair 😂 When I first started to play Animal Crossing, (which was New Leaf version), and I met Sable, first of all, the sewing machine sold me. However, learning about her story between her sisters and her parents like made me fall in love with her. Purely because I can relate very much to this character. I raised my sisters, my mother was not very stable to care for us in the way she should’ve as a parent, and my dad at the time wasn’t around much, so it was up to me to care for my family. I’m still like this 🤣 I’m the mom between friends and everyone else. I get relied on A LOT 💀. Sable is, I believe, my actual real life character, I would totally play her in an animated series or in a play. Much respect to Sable for looking out for her family, and for being so fantastic at the sewing machine. Not an easy job, if you want to do it right!

Second favorite character is Reese, the kawaii pink Alpaca!

Now Reese was actually one of the first characters I met, besides Isabelle and Tom Nook. I screamed when I saw her in New Leaf! My favorite color in the whole world is pink, and I loved the idea of Reese being married to a blue Alpaca 😭, so cute! Her jealousy and being so overprotective over her husband also makes me scream! I’m like this in real life too 🤣🤣🤣 but to an extent of course, have to be a mature adult here lol. Also, true story: my birthday is the day before Cyrus, Reese’s hubby’s birthday. So we are meant to be!!!!!! I love Reese and wish to be the same type of wife in real life. True role model for me... 🤣🌸.

Lastly, my third favorite villager is Marina the Kawaii Hot Pink Octopus (at least I think she’s an octopus?).

Now meeting Marina in New Leaf had me freaking out. Her little round head with tiny tentacles, little black eyes and her round mouth, on top of the fact of being all pink? Yea, I followed her little butt everywhere. In reality I just wanted to hug her to see if she’s squishy at all 😂. I love Marina, she’s adorable, her little walk is so cute, and I love her in home furniture. It’s kinda what I strive for in my home in the game and in real life: girly kawaii aesthetic. Hopefully I’ll make that dream come true!

Now regarding the me vs fave villager: It’s Sable 😍

That would be it, however, I think I look more like Pecan 😅😅😅

I am 5ft, so DONT let my selfie photos fool y’all 🤣, plus my pants match Pecan’s fur color. Definitely Pecan, her short cute little butt with her fluffy curly tail. Hopefully I get to have her in Animal Crossing New Horizons, we will have a grand time!

Anyway so that’s my little post on villagers that I love, and similarities and how they relate to me in real life! I think Sable is definitely the one that hits home with me🌸🌸🌸
