Omg, i like the way you wrote Law get treated by reader. So i was wondering if you can have Law in middle of struggle? Like, he was already on his bed but he keep his eyes opened when he was super tired. And he keep thinking dark thought or dream. Maybe at that time, reader was away or came into his room later to comfort him 👀
But if you don't wanna write similar scenario, ignore this ask wink
Hiya!! I'll never turn down a chance to write Law stuff when he gets the comfort he deserves!! I hope this is to your liking, bb!!
[Heads up!: mentions of nightmares/anxiety, set between zhou/wci and wano]
Some days are better than others. There are weeks where he doesn't think of Corazon or his family at all ㅡ and almost thinks he's finally learning to let it go.
And then he catches a glimpse of something ㅡ the feathered collar of his own coat around his neck, patches of his skin that are a shade or two lighter than the rest, a tickle in his throat that won't go away ㅡ and he's drowning again. They seep into his skin, sticky and heavy and dragging him down until he's gone days without sleep because he doesn't want them to follow him into his dreams.
Tonight is one of those nights. Maybe its for the fact he has more people he has to be responsible for the safety of right now, people depending on him to be stable, to have an answer for everything.
And then there's a tiny voice that notes how much colder his bed is right now, absent of another body ㅡ you. It'd been a quiet discussion of you going with the Strawhats to retrieve their cook, mostly because with you tagging along he can trust they won't get into too much trouble ㅡ he hopes, anyways.
But he feels your absence more acutely right now, moving from his bed to his desk and retrieving your vivre card from where he's tucked into a drawer in his desk. It inches slowly and steadily, and he's tempted to follow it instead of continuing on to Wano. But he knows bettet, and he also wonders when exactly he'd gotten so soft.
It's all your fault. You, with your kindness and boundless patience, strong and dependable ㅡ but he can't hate you for it. Could never hate you for it.
Knowing sleep won't come easily and desperate to at least try, his attention turns to the transponder snail on his desk. He listens to the 'purururu', ready to back out the longer it takes ㅡ and then he hears your voice.
"Law?"
"Did I wake you?"
"No," you answer, and he can hear you shift, the creak of wood and distant sound of wind and ocean. "I figured they needed sleep, so I'm taking over watch for right now."
"You need to sleep too," he says, brow knitting, and your laugh in response has butterflies stretching their wings in his stomach.
"Is that why you called? To scold me?" Your tone sobers for a moment. "Everything is okay, right? I didn't think you'd run into trouble after Zhouㅡ"
"Everything is fine," he answers. Truth be told his guests are getting on his nerves a little, but he isn't going to say that. "I just...miss you."
In the brief gap of silence that follows, Law grapples with the sudden fear that he's too much. Too needy after so long of not allowing himself to be. Too demanding.
"I miss you too," comes your soft reply, washing away that burst of fear. "You can't sleep, can you."
It's dangerous that you know him so well even now, but still a comfort. "Maybe," he answers, listening to you sigh.
"Go lay down." When he doesn't answer, you press further. "Just do it, I have an idea." He debates for a moment before he complies, carrying the transponder snail with him.
You listen to the sound of blankets rustling, the creak of the mattress ㅡ and when it stops, you speak. "Close your eyes, and I'll talk. You don't have to sleep, but just listen, okay? Let your body rest."
"It'd be easier if you were here." It's a quiet admission, one that hadn't come without lots of patience and reassurances that you won't disappear on him, won't leave without a fight.
"I know," you answer. "But we'll be back together before you know it." You adjust to get comfortable yourself, watching the pale break of waves on the horizon. And then you begin talking.
It ranges from what's unfolded on the Sunny during your stay (you'll try not to take the Heart Pirates and their brand of natural chaos for granted anymore) to more general observations, then to stories of your childhood.
It doesn't matter what you talk about because when you finally pause, you can only hear the soft cadence of breathing from Law's end rather than the hums and scoffs he'd been answering with. He's asleep ㅡ at least you hope he is, keeping your voice soft as you whisper, "Sweet dreams, Law. I love you."
And you resume your watch, at peace with the sound of waves and the sound of him sleeping.

This is my first time writing anything so please don’t judge me
summary: So basically you feel like your not good enough for an almighty god like Loki, so when reads your thoughts he makes it his mission to prove to you that you are worth more than anything in the world. Loki x FEMALE reader
Sad/loving/caring
MILD SWEARING
Y/n pov-
Loki was out, which was good because it meant that I could get some alone time. I’ve needed that for a long time now. I’ve had a bad feeling for a few days and I don’t know exactly why but I think I have an idea. Let me set the scene for you.
They’re is this beautiful girl. She has long blonde locks that curl at the ends of her wavy her, her eyes are like deep pools of the ocean and her lips are thin and frail. With a tint of warm pink in them. Her name is Emily. She’s a princess, she’s from a planet close to Lokis, and her family and his have been planning an engagement for them. As they are both Gods/Goddess’s. It was only until Loki told his father about us, that he stopped the engagement.
My issue here is that Emily likes Loki, a lot. And he sometimes shows too much interest in her. Like a lot. And it hurts. Seeing him show her that much attention. His eyes practically glow when he see’s her. And it hurts, ya know. They have known each other for years, he’s known me for about 4 years. But that’s not that long.
I am just a mortal. I have no special talents, haven’t got a great body, and I..I just want love. God I can’t even fucking cook. So here’s me. Now sitting on my bed, crying. My nose is wet, and snotty and my eyes are cloudy to look out of. And when I looked in the mirror when I could see, they were bruised and damaged.
If he loves her , can’t he tell me..?
Loki’s pov-
Y/n wanted me to give her some personal time. So I have, but now I’m bored so I’m on my way back. Well, outside.
y/n pov-
SHIT. Is that Loki?? NO NO NO NOOOO. This can’t be, he can’t be back yet. “Fuck, where are the tissues, shit” I whispered to myself, already knowing that I am screwed. As I found the tissues, stumbled to my feet again, and spun around. It was too late. Because standing infront of me was a tall, skinny but masculine man. With jet black hair, that shimmered in the light, green eyes that anyone could get lost in. And those lips. Those li… wait no. No. No. No. he can see me. “y:n? ….a..are you okay?” His voice sounded painful. “did I do something? I assure you if I have please tell me I will fix it right awa….”
“ it’s not you Loki. It’s just. Okay…s..so ba..basically I just wanted to ask…. IF YOU LOVE HER JUST LEAVE ME BECAUSE I KNOW SHE IS BETTET, BUT PLEASE DONT BREAK ME” it came out quickly, and loudly. he looked stunned. Shocked. He had a confused expression painted across his face until he realised what I was talking about. “Oh pet, my dear sweet darling. No no you’ve got it all wrong, me and Emily, no. We are friends. JUST friends I promise you. You know why???” Now I was the one with the confused face. “because… I love YOU. Only you. No one else. You are perfect in every way, and I fell in love with you because you’re not some almighty God like me. You’re calm and caring and you’re not afraid of me.”
I was stunned. In fact too stunned to speak. “Sweet thing, let me show you how much I love you”
Now, a devilish smirk appeared on his face. As he pushed me down on the bed and roared over me. Sliding his shirt off slowly , never , dropping eye contact.
SOOO THATS THE END OF THIS PART. idk if I should do another one. But pls tell me if it’s good or not. Again my spelling it’s kinda bad and it’s my first time. But yeah I might do a part 2 bc tell me if you want one.

There’s only one thing that really disappointed me this season and that’s how Osferth’s death was handled. There was absolutely no justice in his death. He randomly get’s stabbed and dies in Finans arms and then basically never gets mentioned again? We didn’t see Uhtred’s and Sihtric’s reaction to hearing the news of his death, we got no funeral for him and like i already wrote he was basically never mentioned again. His death just felt so pointless to me. He was basically here from season 2 and formed a great bond with Uhtred’s squad and i guess i just expected his death to have more of an impact on the squad. Because how is it that even Sigtryggr who appeared just at the end of season 4 and for half of season 5 got a way better death than a character who’s been here from the start? Sigtryggr got an honourable death, he got a funeral, we see how big of an impact his death had on Stiorra and he was mentioned quite a few times after his death but Osferth got none of that.. He wasn’t even in Uhtred’s montage at the end. I don’t know i just really hated the way this was handled.
There are some points i agree with you anon, some others i'm a little more mitigated. In general, I do think Osferth's death could have been handle way bettet than it has been, however, he wasn't utterly forgotten once he was dead.
First, the one thing that made me suspect he would die during the season, Finan keeps Osferth's cross. Indeed, if you look at Finan's sword after episode 5, you can see a cross hanging from the hilt of his sword, cross that is in fact Osferth's. You can see Finan holding it when he lays Osferth's body with the Danes killed during the attack of Rumcofa. I had noticed it on BTS pic before the season came out and I thought and stil l think, it is a nice detail. It shows how deeply Finan cared for Osferth's, how he was like a little brother to him, how he was his baby monk.
Finan's guilt carried on for a few episodes. It obviously starts in episode 5 when he says he is sorry and then claims it is all his fault. He carries on in ep 6 when he says Osferth is haunting the man who's responsible of his death (meaning himself) and it shows again in ep 8 when Uhtred wants to go back to Rumcofa and Finan really doesn't want to. He is clearly so close to cry because Rumcofa is where he lost Osferth and he hasn't come to terms with it.
There's clearly a lack of emotion shown by Uhtred and Sihtric. I'm not saying the characters felt nothing or the actors played badly, I just think, just as you anon, that the show could have given us their "real reaction" to Osferth's death. Not just their nervous looks when Finan isn't able to speak.
However, I liked how the lack of Osferth's presence was reminded a few times. Sihtric reminded Uhtred they were just the three of them now to Uhtred in episode 6 and Finan later said four was always their lucky number (credit to @persephones-journey for that one). Besides, Uhtred mentionned Osferth's death to other characters, like Edward, who has shown some empathy.
I still was disappointed Osferth wasn't in the final montage, he definitely deserved his place there. But I recall a good point @solarlotus made, Osferth saw Uhtred as his Lord maybe more than just a friend which might explain his absence.
My final point will be regarding his burial. It didn't really surprise me to not see it. After all, we haven't seen any of Uhtred's men who died before being buried. Neither Leofric nor Halig had a burial scene and tbh i didn't feel like they needed to have one. Osferth I don't know. I like that Ingrith decided to take Osferth to Wessex so he was buried in the place he was born (but i like to imagine she has taken him to Coccham) and I know it would have been hard to have a burial scene with all the boys (cause a burial without his brothers would have been pointless to me) would have been tough to plan within the plot. I'm sad he wasn't given this scene he utterly deserved but i'm not that disappointed about it.
I think that is all for my thoughts, I think we agree on some points and disagree on others, but in general, we both hoped for more regarding our beloved baby monk's death :')

"Eye of the Beholder"
CW: Book spoilers
I see more of the "Aria is 'A'" theory, in this episode. I always hated the theory, probably because I don't like Aria, but also because she is literally on screen so fucking much that the plot of the actual story can't move forward. She's too busy making out with Ezra or fighting with her parents to be "A."
"If only we could harness Mona's sense of entitlement, we could light the Eastern Seaboard"- I don't see how Mona's being entitled, here. This was a beloved and memed quote back in the day but what is she taking about?
I guess Alison trusted Duncan if she gave him her real name. Also, this dude had it bad for her. I really wish he had been a bigger part of the story, because his intro here set him up to be a really interesting character. This random guy who obviously cared about her a lot, and apparently to whom she talked so much about her friends that he could identify them. I remember thinking he might have some connection to the Charles DiLaurentis plotline- he does bare a striking resemblance to the family- but no. They just throw him in here to give us something to do and make it look like they're actually going to tell us a cohesive story that will all make sense together. They build him up then let us down. Just what happens when they run out of pre-existing cannon characters to make suspicious and it hasn't been long enough to re-use any of their still-viable red herrings.
I also wish Maya's disappearance was bettet worked into the story. It ends up being it's own random side mystery with no connection to anything, which makes the story more confusing, even if temporarily. It ends up looking like the actress wasn't going to stay on-board for the whole thing and they forgot to write an ending for her until the last possible minute. It seems so rushed and half-assed I don't think they gave it any thought at all. I do realize that Emily's relationships have to have an expiration date if they want to make Emison endgame, and death is usually the default ending when they don't want to villainize either of the characters, but there were things they could have done besides inserting a second "stalker" storyline. I might not be so upset about them deciding to end her life if it at least felt thoughtful. Fun fact: according to the fan wiki, Maya breaks up with Emily because Emily cheated on her.
Does it need to be said that I hate how easy it is to tell whom the writers want us to like in this story based on how they react to Ezria? The Liars have virtually no problem with it besides extremely brief shock- not because they're still highly impressionable teens who are weirdly familiar with "Lolita" but may not understand how it's supposed to be read- rather, because they're the protagonists and we're not supposed to have any complicated feelings about them. Noel? Jackie? Villains, because they were against it. We're supposed to like Ella (I guess) so she has to come around to it. There's no nuance to it at all, the show doesn't even give any credit to the opposite viewpoint.
The more Ezra and Ella interact, the more I wish Ezrella had been a thing.
You can get a pilot's license at 16???
The man who fucked one of his university students, asked his daughter to help him cover it up, and fucked up every last one of them with trauma beyond belief has no room to be accusing someone else of wrecking his family. Was the point of this just to make me hate Byron so much I would want Ezria to go on out of pure spite?
Can literally any of the PLL parents stop being annoying. Mrs. Hastings is going to give me an aneurism.
Jenna Marshall is personally cursed to be in every burning building.

For the titles thing:
Being Alive
Hey anon, sorry for taking so long with this 😬. Gosh this is days old. Also, I must say anon, considering this is Les Mis we're talking about here this is one HELL OF A TITLE TO GIVE.
Okay so for this plot of a fic I actually went with a plot that doesn't have romantic love at its forefront to try and vary things up so here we go:
Canon era, canon divergence, keep in mind I changed stuff like the ages of characters and stuff.
JVJ, unfortunately having contracted an illness in from prison, let's just say something like TB, dies when he gets out. At death, he's greeted by the grim reaper who is Bishop Myriel, who says that though his soul is bitter at the moment, he has the potential to become bettet and do good, so he returns him to life. However, there is a catch that a) Bishop Myriel/Grim Reaper keeps half of his soul as a "contract signature," and the other half is endowed with the condition that each time he feels consuming guilt it eats away at his soul, and those parts of his soul join the other half in the afterlife until eventually the mortal half of his soul has worn away and his soul in heaven is complete, at which point he dies.
He becomes mayor of M-Sur-M, but through his partaking in such system, Fantine ends up dying the same way she does in the book. For this, JVJ feels an emormous amount of guilt and a great portion of his soul wears away. Nevertheless he believes the least he can do is take care of the children Fantine died trying to keep alive.
Yes children, because I am a LOSER who decided to make Enjolras and Cosette twins in this one. They were placed under the care of the Thenardiers and the rest you know (but I decided to make them a bit older than Cosette is when she's originally rescued from there.) JVJ rescues them out of that situation and brings them first to a convent that accepts boys and girls (or does that concept not exist???) and then to Paris.
As they're children and JVJ is raising them, he's never felt happier and more alive. They're his two sources of brightness, and for a while JVJ thinks that he might even be earning some of his soul back, including the half in heaven.
There's some fun stuff that goes on in this part. There's at least one time that Enjolras and Cosette camp outside of JVJ's hut to guilt him into sleeping in the manor before they have to sleep outside in the chill of the air. They bully him into eating nicr bread. Fluffy stuff like that.
They grow up and mature more and Enjolras lies about his age to get into university, where he meets Bahorel, Courfeyrac, and Bossuet. This all leads up to the creation of Les Amis de L'ABC. JVJ growd worried at the kinds of stuff Enjolras starts talking about; he already watched Fantine die, he doesn't think he could take it if her son who took exactly after her looks did too. He starts to feel guilt at what may happen if he doesn't properly take care of Enjolras, and that guilt not only eats at his soul, but also manifests in him often seeing Fantine's face when looking at Enjolras.
They go on walks at the park. Enter Marius. In order to try and stop this booby, JVJ stops bringing both to the park. He feels guilt at this for how sad Cosette looks.
(Somehow at meetings Enjolras never pieces together that Marius is the secret guy Cosette has been meeting with in the gardens whenever he's at an ABC meeting.)
Javert (yeah he exists in this fic) is almost upon them so JVJ says they all have to move to England. Cosette is in disbelief because she doesn't want to be torn from her love Marius, and Enjolras is in indignation because he doesn't want to he torn from his friends and people.
Despite his warnings on what may happen, Enjolras runs off to join the rebellion. JVJ goes after both him and Marius.
Enjolras convinces him he cannot take him away from where he's meant to be, and that if he dies, he does so through his own sacrifice for what he believes in, and JVJ's grief in this moment is so great he truly does see Fantine's ghost in this moment instead of Enjolras (which will lead to more guilt later on...)
I know that in the book Enjolras only gave two kisses and both were respectful to Mabeuf, but in this fic I would probably write Enjolras as having given more kisses than that, and in this moment, he kisses JVJ's forehead.
Surprise surprise, Enjolras dies!! JVJ is able to save Marius, but Enjolras dies before he can get to him.
The grief of being too late to save him eats away at JVJ's soul so much, he doesn't realize that a great chunk has left and it only continues to lessen. He feels that guilt compounded with the fact that in the last minutes he spoke to him, JVJ couldn't even acknowledge it was Enjolras and not Fantine's ghost. What a harsh blow to his son's memory.
His guilt continues to consume him. Cosette steps in and says while it is tragic, Enjolras knew the risks and chose to sacrifice himself, and that JVJ should not feel guilty.
He feels so guilty that after her wedding, JVJ thought if he couldn't protect one of his children, he doesn't deserve his other child, so he distances himself from Cosette like in the book, and her sadness at doing such a thing causes him even more guilt.
His guilt consumes him until finally the last of his soul wears away and he dies.
Bishop Myriel greets him at death and says that he was a good person and that he was sorry he couldn't save him. He tells him to cast off the chains of guilt, for heaven is filled with people with people are nothing but grateful to him.
#let me know how this went lol#les miserables#enjolras#cosette#jean valjean#les amis de l'abc#also I wrote this while very sleep deprived so if there are any mistakes let me know lol

will say this, and I will tag this post as spoilers for rwby uvu
I'm surprised how INSTANT Qrow got intrigued by Clover because of his semblance
I mean it makes sense. Qrow seems to know his own semblance and can't "control it," so to speak, and puts a good amount of the blame of tragedies with people he's surrounded by on himself because he's supposedly "bad luck."
the fact he suddenly comes across a person with THE LITERAL OPPOSITE SEMBLANCE and just never takes his eyes off him since
it's kind of funny but actually touching when you think about it cause you get a grasp of the character from the previous volumes and he never seemed like a great role model. but meeting Clover and being introduced to their semblance changed him but to be better which is actually nice!
I know a small portion of people talk about this whole thing but it's nice that Qrow is trying to better himself. aaaaaaaaaaand could help with controlling his semblance bettet???? IDK I'm just saying at that point but it would be interesting that all he needed to do, to prevent bad luck from happening, was to just care for himself properly and in a healthy way. he did give up on drinking sooooooooo maybe????? too much to ask for??
possibly .w.;;;;

My Thoughts on Seven Deadly Sins Ending
Warning the text below is my opinion and nothing more on the ending of the Manga known as The Seven Deadly Sins and what has lead up to it, if you disagree with what I have to say that’s fine, but please do not do personally attacks. That said Seven Deadly Sins has ended after releasing its final Chapter on Tuesday after 8 years of publication. On to my thoughts well… honestly, I didn’t feel anything. No satisfaction, no anger or Sadness. I just felt nothing. I had been reading this manga for 4 years and with each passing year my interest in the series just waned down, till finally I stopped caring.
I still remember how I got into the series by watching the anime on Netflix which got me hooked on the series with Elizabeth, Meliodas and the talking pig Hawk trying to gather the seven deadly sins in order fight the corrupted order of holy knights, then went to the manga for more content because there was only 1 season in which I saw the seven deadly sisn face the demon clans strongest warriors the ten commandments. I got into the manga just when the Great Fight Festival arc was closing and Meliodas was killed. In some sense probably after that is were I felt the series started to decline as the Defensive Battle for Liones arc which started right after ended up bringing Meliodas back rather quickly (though timewise in manga it was a gap of few months) about half the ten Commandments appeared to have been defeated rather quickly despite over 70+ chapters of build-up.
Granted there was still great moments in it, Escanor vs Estarossa & Escanorr vs Meliodas are probably my favourite one on one battles, the growing darkness in Meliodas was promising at least and I’d enjoyed seeing the 4 archangels vs the ten commandments in the Memories of the Holy War arc. But afterwards it was becoming clear that a few of the standard problems with a weekly shonen battle manga tend to have was starting to happen with the Series such as: ever increasing power levels leading side character and even some main character like Ban being left behind, redemption arcs for half the bad guys (This happening to Drole, Gloxinia and Derieri) turning good only to be killed by more powerful enemies an arc later even they barley had time to be portrayed as villains and complicated lore which repeatedly got retconned to fit the current direction the plot was going was.
I’d say during the New Holy War arc was these problems were hard to ignore. Now granted the set was good at least, you had had the seven deadly sins lead by Elizabeth in the absence of Meliodas & the Holy Knights teaming up with the revived archangels into a group called Stigma against the Demon Clan lead by Melodias’s brother Zeldris and their mentors Chandler & Cusack. With the aim to destroy the Demon Clan and rescue Meliodas before he becomes the next Demon King by gathering all the ten commandments powers. Meanwhile you have Estarossa Searching for the Ten Commandments for his own purpose and well as mysterious past with Elizabeth and the final Archangel Mael.
Now the first problem was due to the fact at this point the other 8 Commandments who weren’t Zeledris and Estarossa were either beaten or no longer villains, meant you had no known named bad guys to fight against the sins, holy knights & archangels so you had pretty much the first wave was Stigma against demon clans henchmen. So that ended rather quickly showing off the powers of the sins & archangels, with a few holy knights standing out particularly the ones powered up by the Goddess clan as there were really no threating enemies. Granted this changed when Estarossa came in chasing Derieri after killing her partner Monspeet taking his commandment and began fighting against the archangels Sariel & Tarmiel with the power of three commandments (Galand’s being the third after he killed him, which I thought was a waste as I’d hoped he have a rematch with Ban).
Everything with Estarossa I’d say was great, the battle against the Archangels, the revelation that he was actually the archangel Meal who once possessed Escanor’s powers but had his memories manipulated by the original Gowther was executed perfectly. The and the final fight against him in which you had the seven deadly sins, the archangels Sariel & Tarmiel and Derieri fight and try to save him as he gets consumed by the power of commandments he has in his possession, from his grief for what he had done as Estarossa and anger at feels at Gowther for what his creator had done to him. Resulting in the deaths of Sariel, Tarmiel and Derieri stealing her commandment, to then being defeated by a newly powered up King after Olso gave his live to protect him. Then being brought back into the light after Mael learnt from Gwother that the reason why the original Gowther chose him to be Estarossa was because Mael had killed his lover. In many ways I felt the Estarossa/Mael plotline was bettet handle than the Obito plotline in Naruto.
Other things just I’d enjoyed in the war arc was Meliodas’s Emtions/goodside and Ban’s time with Hawk’s Brother Wild as well as Escanor, Merlin Ludociel, Hendrickson & Gilthunder vs Zeldris, Chandler & Cusack (granted Hendrickson and Gilthunder were more background characters really). However after that the arc goes downhill and gets messy as it’s revealed that whoever gets the power of all ten commandments doesn’t become the new demon king but gets possessed by him, as the final battle in the arc becomes the seven deadly sins, the two remain archangels and Zeledris vs The Demon King, most of it being inside Meliodas’s mind. The Battle feels very anticlimactic but ends on a bittersweet note with Ludociel dying afterwards and becoming clear that Meliodas can’t stay much longer now that he has the powers of the Demon King.
I think the series would have been fine ending after that, but Nakaba Suzuki the mangaka ends up being a troll by having Elizabeth still cursed as the demon King Survived after taking over Zeldris and now the Sins have the save him with the help of his Vampire lover Gelda. The battle is overdrawn out but ends once again on a bittersweet note as Escanor dies after overexposure to the ability sunshine. But even then, the series is not over and now you have Arthur a character who was killed a few arcs back is revived by Merlin so he can becomes the new lord of chaos but he chased by a monster cat called Cath who wants to eat him so he can have the power. By that point I just stopped caring as it was dealt with so quickly like an afterthought.
So, we ended up with an ending that while nice that the sins have all gotten together with their respective couples, everything else feels like it was either resolved off screen or forgotten about. I’m wondering what has happened to Merlin as she isn’t in the final chapters for some reason, neither when the sins depart or reunite for Meliodas and Elizabeth’s son’s birthday.
In many ways Seven Deadly Sins is the third manga that’s ended on a disappointing note for me, but unlike Naruto where is has gotten me really angry about how it ended or Bleach really sad with how it ended, I feel nothing for how Seven Deadly Sins ended. Which is a shame as for while this manga while it was coming out on the same day as Fairy Tail’s chapters I’d often used as something to enjoy when Fairy Tail had one of it’s more infamous moments (though I will admit I did like the final chapter and the Squeal series 100 Year Quest is really good), but now in some ways it ended being more disappointing than Fairy Tail.
It had some great characters such as Ban & Escanor with some memorable battles like the ones I mentioned above and a pretty good anime (at least first 2 seasons as I hear the 3rd budget is really poor), but it got too ridiculous in it’s plots past the first saga maybe even the second , couldn’t figure out which bad guy to end on and perhaps focused too much on the shipping side. Granted I know it will be getting a Spin off/sequel series called Four Knights of the Apocalypse and I will check it out. I just hope it can recapture the enthusiasm I had for the world of the Seven Deadly Sins.

they completely erased bev's character in the 2nd movie. in the first it was emphesized SO MUCH just how brave she was compared to the others. she took the first step, she wasnt afraid to go into the house she fought her abusive dad and in the 2nd movie it was all gone. i really liked the fact that bev wqsnt a damsel in distress until in the 2nd movie she was. while in the 1st movue you forgot that gender roles existed in the 2nd it really seemed like they wrote bev as a "woman" rather than "bev" you dig me??? okay rant over. basically fuck the 2nd movie bev and im not just saying this because her 1st movie actor made me realize i was a lesbian. on to the movie

also the whole tribe thing seemed really out of story and like it didnt belong there at all? idk maybe its just me but i dont wanna believe that bill's 3rd eye opened after he got drugged by his friend idk
so like hightlights because ive got many rants about the 2nd movie
what the fuck do you mean bev got out of jer specilized hell after ben recited 1 fucking poem are you kidding me are yOU FUCKING KIDDING ARE WE REALLY DOING THE SAVED BY LOVE BULLSHIT AGAIN OH OKAY
OH OKAY FUCK YOU
SO BEV GETS SAVED IN THE FIRST MOVIE AFTER BEN KISSES HER WHEN AT THE TIME HE PRIBABLY THOUGHT LOVE WAS AT ITS PEAK WHEN YOU GAVE YOUR 2ND GRADE CRUSH A BADLY WRITTEN POEM
AND UFKCING HELL IT HAPPENS IN THE 2ND MOVIE TOO??? DOES PENNYWISE JUST THINK "oh these bitches hetero bettet keep them alive" BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT? THIS WOULD ALL BE OKAY IF
IF
IF EDDIE LIVED TOO
FUCK I RELATE TO RICHIE SO MUCH??? HIS FIGHT WITH HIS PEERS AND HIS FIGHT WITH HIMSELF OVER HIS YEARS LASTING CRUSH ON EDDIE?? OH MY GOD IT WAS SO OBVIOUS THIS MOTHERFUCKER WAS GAY AND I DIDNT REALIZE UNTIL THE 2ND MOVIE WHEN HE HAS A BREAKDOWN BECAHSE HIS SOULMATE GETS STABBED BY HOMOPHOBIC FORTNITE DANCING CLOWN WHILR HE TRIES TO SAVE HIMA DN THEN FUCKIN G DIES EVEN THOUGHT THESE 2 IDIOTS HAD MORE CHEMISTRY THAN BILL+BEV AND BEN+BEV COMBINED OH MY GOD IM SO MAD THE HETEROS GET TO LIVE BY TRUE LOVE BUT THE GAYS DONT AND UG G H H G G HH "hes dead" NO HE FUCKING IS NOT THIS ISNT FAIR I LOVED EDDIE SO MUCH
well uh now that we got my love for richie on papet um
the lake scene
i cried and i had to watch heteros kiss underwater while wiping my tears. its only cool when percabeth does it guys
the lake scene aside i full on BAWLED LIKE A BABY at the ending because i felt so bad that stan died already and i felt bad that not only was richie facing years if bullying and homophobia anf the loss of his friends it finally is confirmed that richie had a crush on eddie and i
i just cried man? it hurt me so much as it weighed on me how many jokes richie made, how scared he was when he saw the missing paper of himself, his flashbacks to people calling him names, his speech to eddie and that he had to get dragged out because this fucker obviously couldnt let go of his feelings. and between all of that and stan's letter my brain blocks out everything and focuses on one
R + E
oh my god
OH MY GOD NO
NOW i dont really like watching movies. as a writer myself im really critical of everything involving the world building, the characters, the plot and all that jazz and usually the acting is so bad that i dont feel for the characters but THIS ONE. T H I S O N E
my mom turned to me and was SO SHOCKED to see my flat out CRYING because i just dont do that man, and she just asked my what made me cry and i just made a noise like "hhhnnnn" and she nodded and went "richie's love story" and i, still crying, went "hhhnnnn" but in a higher pitch
and im just so mad? that eddie didnt get to live?? we didnt get an "i love you" or even a "im gay" from richie??? we didnt get to see them holding hands and letting go of their trauma together and being gay and happy yet
yet the fucking bad-writer-white-boy and boo-hoo-i-had-no-friends and not-bev get happy endings??? mike can get a happy ending because he is a well thought out character
thESE 3 ON THE OTHER HAND OH MY GOD
bill had to change his endings which really makes me angry because ima writer yada yada
bill has been bullied his uh what whole life? he got told his opinion didnt matter and from what i remember even his parents shut down his ideas and i feel like he should have made the endings how he wanted instead of changing to what the public wanted. thats what he defended as a kid, thats why he was in the losers club unwilling to change, because they were losers. yet he changed.
ben should have stayed fat or at least have abnornal weight because that also defeats his story with bev. it makes it seem that suddenly and magically when ben is hot bev can BEGIN to consider that she loves him.
i already ranted about bev.
mike is decent i guess? i like that he didnt stay with whoever the fuck that was in the first movie because he seemed very aggreasive to me. im glad the chose to research into pennywise because others were too stupid not to (RICH AND EDDIE GET A PASS AGAIN BECAUSE THEY SHARE HALF A BRAINCELL AND I LOVE THEM)
well stan is just tragic
___
me: who the fuck is afraid of spiders why do they keep showing up
mom: its stan?
mom: he brought the hair things and all
me, about to cry: oh m y god
---
so TL;DR: we really liked the first film! the acting, the plot, the creepiness is overall better and you get to relate to a bunch of Losers who get abused by their parents
the 2nd film doesnt exist. i refuse to acknowledge it exist EXCEPT for the ending where stan writes a letter about how he would like to meet hks friends again while BREATHING and richie and eddie carve their initials on a piece of wood and get to be gay.
if your name starts with B your opinion is invalid in the 2nd movie
also can anybody give me fanfics where the fortnite dancing clown doesnt exist and richie goes to therapy to heal from the bullying and once he gets over his homophobia he gays with eddie??? specific i know but im willing to write it if it doesnt exist
#ghost reviews movies#i guess?#it (movie)#it (2017)#it (2019)#spoilers#tw abuse mention#tw homophobia mention#tw suicide mention#this is a#rant#AND A#vent#BECAUSE OF RICHIE AND RICHIE ONLY#long post

Bloodbound Theory: Jax and the First Son
As Bloodbound 2 goes on we are learning more about the First Vampire and her origins. We know her connection to Gaius, his role as the second son, and that Kamilah and Adrian were his progeny, but as the story is unfolding I am starting to think that another character has a bigger role than it might look like on the surface.
I’m talking about Jax. Our favorite rebel vampire. Leader of the former Clanless vampires. But how does he tie in? After all, he’s only been a vampire for 45 years (and it still pains me to write that) and has no direct tie to Gaius. Before we get to that, let’s look at a few things.
Jax’s tattoo or is it his brand?
In Book 1, I assumed that the Jax’s tattoo was just that, a tattoo, after all he was Clanless and they don’t have brands, but I no longer think that. I think Jax was branded all along, just not by one of the clans.
Looking back at book 1, this is what he says,
I can’t even get them to let in my people, not himself, his people. And most Clanless are such that because they are accidental Turnings, people who are carelessly Turned by vampires who can’t or won’t take responsibility for them and are left to fend for themselves.
But not Jax. Jax was turned with a purpose.
In Book one I interpreted as this as the vampire wanting to make mindless soldiers and not caring if they turned feral or not. But with the information we now have I am looking at it a different way, why if the leader didn’t care about the authority of the clans and was trying to start his own dynasty, including using his own brand to mark his progeny.
Plus, Jax has been a vampire for 45 years and in Book 1, they make it seem like that is pretty much impossible for a Clanless, that without a brand, you will go feral sooner or later, and the book makes it sound Iike we are talking years, not decades.
I am not the first to notice the similarity between Jax’s brand (I am now sure that is what it is) and the tree of life. Several people of Tumblr have pointed out the connection. Thanks to @lifeof314universe who was the first to point it out to me and make me consider what that could mean.
It does seem like Jax’s brand was based on the tree of life. Obviously he didn’t choose his own brand, so why was it chosen? Was it unique to him (as Kamilah and Adrian’s are, presumably because Gaius saw them as creating progeny for him, since it was clear he considered them each importnat from the moment of Turning) or was it the brand his master had?
Who Turned Jax?
So we know two things about the man who Turned Jax, that he was creating an army to overthrow the clans adn that he was living in an alley in New York in the mid 1970s and Turned Jax after another vampire discarded him. I took from that that the vampire saw something in Jax and his kindness, saw the kind of leader he would be and Turned him for that reason.
But who was he? So far the narrative hasn’t given us much to go on. But I have a theory, one that goes against the knowledge we have been given so far. I think the homeless man was not a descendent of Gaius’s. But how? After all, Jameson tells us all vampires are the children of Gaius.
That is the truth as Jameson knows it, but I do not think it is the whole truth. I think the First Son did have progeny. Jameson says he does not know who the First Son was, but Gaius did, he knew him well, and I think there is a reason he kept that information to himself.
I also think that when the First Vampire died, there was a falling out between Gaius and Xenocrates. The kind of falling out that led to Gaius killing Xenocrates and his progeny and making himself the lord of the vampires. But what if he missed one? I mean Jax’s maker and Xenocrates are very clearly not the same person, but doesn’t mean that they aren’t connected. I think it is very possible, even probably, that the man who Turned Jax was Turend by Xenocrates and not Gaius and spent millennia hiding that fact. It seems crazy that someone would lay low for millennia, but at the same time, it seems like pre-America hiding from Gaius would have been easy because vampires were pretty much always in hiding.
Why go to America? Becuase that is where the power base is. Jameson tells us that the vampire situation is pretty grim everywhere else, but in America they operate a shadow court, being allowed to operate pretty much in the open and that would seem pretty tempting, especially with Gaius himself gone. We know the Clans killed Jax’s maker, but they could have done so without having any really idea who he was or that he wasn’t of Gaius’s bloodline.
Is Jax the only one of his blood line?
I think the answer to that is a resounding no. First, Jax says they killed most of the vampires his master created, not all. But we also have a new character this book, one who showed up out of nowhere and integrated himself into Jax’s life. This is what Jax says about Nikhil:
Interesting, right? The idea that someone could be Clanless for centuries? But maybe he’s not. I am betting that, like Jax, Nikhil has a brand, I am even betting they are the same one. That Nikhil was an early progeny of the vampire who Turned Jax or even that that vampire was his progeny. What if Jax’s maker was the puppet not the master?
We know Jax went underground after his maker died. Jax is good at surviving. It his possible that Nikhil lost track of him or it wasn’t worth it for him to go looking and so he laid low, waiting for his next moment to strike out against the clans. And then when the Vega thing went down and Jax emerged as a new member of the council, what bettet moment to endear himself to Jax and get to know him?
Conclusion
At this point I am convinced that Nikhil and Jax are both descendent from Xenocrates, the First Son, and not Gaius and that that information is going to play some role in the climax and the inevitable battle against Gaius.
(I also have thoughts on the final four tapestry scenes, but I will share those in another post, but I think one will be Gaius killing Xenocrates).

Tonight I got to watch 2 Netflix original films. Okja is an original film that I had been very excited for and was fairly confident that I would enjoy. Death Note, an American adaptation of my favorite manga series of all time and a popular anime, was a piece of work I was far more on the fence about. After all Hollywood doesn't necessarily have the best record in adapting Japanese works of fiction. [Verdict] Okja - A wonderful story about a girl's journey to save her pet super pig from being slaughtered in a factory and served on the mass market alongside its kin. Crawling with overarching themes of animal cruelty, corporate greed and activism, though the film chooses to make a focus of them at times overall I felt the director Bong Joon Ho was deftly able to keep the focus primarily on the relationship between Mija and the titular Okja [also the aforementioned super pig]. Joon Ho also has a great sense of comedy, often sneaking in incredible amounts of laugh worthy moments during the most dire of situations through the mannerisms of the characters or the framing of a certain shot. There's also often many little things going throughout a shot so if you lose focus of the main players of a scene you still won't be bored by a scene. This adds to its rewatchability status as there is so much to discover just based off of the background interactions alone. Finally, the actors characters all did wonderful with their characters. Being deftly over the top when necessary or calmly subdued for the same reason. Tilda Swinton is great as the evil Mirando, Seo-Hyeon Ahn who plays Mija portrays being a kid in stellar fashion. Often not completely understanding a situation, or jumping into a dire situation because she is a kid and will do what she wants. Overall, Okja is an incredible fantasy piece wrapped in real world issues and as long as that doesn't bother you I highly recommend it. ------ [Verdict] Death Note - Guys, listen. It's no secret Hollywood sucks at adapting Japanese stories. Usually it's under the assumption that these stories can't work as American films because they're told through a Japanese lens. Fictionalizing an Asian experience or culture. However, if there is one story that can bridge that gap quite clearly based on the very idea of what it is it's Death Note. A very smart high schooler receives a notebook that kills people, he likes it, and a very smart detective uses logic to go after him. There is a whole thing about Death Gods but their lore is very rarely explored in this story that is at its core about greedy humans and the battle of Light vs. Darkness. Geniunely, you can't get more American than that. Or at the very least multi-culturally transcendent. And yet director Adam Wingard and the execs of Netflix still manage to screw it up. Somehow believing they had to make functionary changes to the story and the characters in a way that ultimately makes them very unrealistic (and by proxy unAmerican) based on how plain generic and cliche they are. Instead there's focus placed on the Japanese thing in the entire series, Ryuk the death god, and even that is only used in an okay manner. Truthfully though, Ryuk was my favorite thing in this movie. Light is no longer a sociopath (Americans won't root for those in a show because there's just no way to make them nuanced enough to give them any empathy. Not like someone successfully wrote 108 chapters based off the very idea.) willing to use the Death Note for what he twistedly perceives to be the greater good. Literally he's frightened into doing it by Ryuk the first time, the second time he does it for emotional revenge, and all the other times after that he does it to impress a girl who gives him nookie in exchange for lives. It's disgusting. And the less said about Mia, the bettet. L, the subtle and logical super detective who successfullh deduces that Light is Kira mostly does so on a forced hunch and retains his persona of L in name only. Though L's mannerism in the original series are present they are only there to showcase L as a quirky character whom we couldn't possibly relate to. Completely glossing over why L developed those mannerisms in the first place, like how he sits in chairs, or eats sweets constantly, or the fact that he is a purely logical creature that doesn't allow himself to succumb to emotion. The last of which in that list is never present as we get an L that runs strictly on emotion which eventually causes him to compromise his own operation and often undercuts his admitedly amateur deduction skills. This movie is a not a game of cat and mouse. L and Light are never given the chance to bond truly interact with one another causing their friction as adversaries to fall flat. Neither of these characters are smart and painfully shows in the latter half of this film. The more I think about it this film has no story. A guy gets a notebook, his girlfriend uses it better than he does, he pisses off a cop, and just as the story begins what should have been the third act it cuts out. Rolling credits as two characters are in the middle of a conversation and one character who is not Light struggles with the idea of using the Death Note to get his revenge. There is literally no resolution to the story. Only Mia has an end to her arc and that's because it's really contrived in a painfully laughable way towards the end. I am all for thematic endings that leave the viewers with morally ambiguous questions to mull over as their journey comes to an end, the original manga ending to Death Note does that. But it has an end. Some stories get resolved in some fashion. Not all, but enough. I have never experienced a film like the American Death Note that literally cuts out in the very middle of the third act reaching no climax what-so-ever. Finally, the actors. Willem Dafoe as Ryuk is literally the best thing this movie achieves. I would watch an entire movie if Dafoe as Ryuk. Lakeith Stanfield who plays L does a good job with what he is given, but he never feels like L because he was directed to act like a weirdo while we never once get to know the weirdo. Margaret Qualley I would also does a pretty decent job as Mia. Mia's just a terrible character like the rest of them. Manipulative but never in a truly evil way, just in a cliche "I'm doing what's best for you but only because it ultimately serves me kind of way." Nat Wolff who plays Light is just plain awful in the role. Watch the scene where he meets Ryuk for the first time, or any of the scenes where he's trying to impress Mia. That first option literally made me think this movie was a comedy at first. Death Note is one of the worst American adaptations of a Japanese property I have ever seen. Not as bad as Dragon Ball Evolution, but Ghost in the Shell was definitely better. And that movie literally made whitewashing the central focus of its story.

Who is your favorite Choices villain? And, Who is your favorite choices mentor?
Villain- Luther Nevrakis. Hands down. He is such a good villain and he is given such a great story to work with. They gave him three books, making him the center of it even when he was offscreen and then the fake redemption arc before proving that he hadn’t changed at all. But there was also a complexity to his relationship with Kenna, especlly in Book 3, and I enjoyed it. I loved hating Luther.
Mentor- Hmmm... Probably Lena herself, except the way she handled Xanthe at the end, but other than that, I really liked her character. I liked her as a mother figure to the MC, and the balance of the fact that she put MC in the position, and yet it relalt is the best she could hope. She is far bettet off than she would have been anywhere else and Lena also gives her the tools to get her revenge and make a name and life for herself. I would have loved to see the relationship grow in Book 2.
putting her in this position but also giving her the tools to get
