Variants!Invincible x Variants!Reader imagine
just a short fun imagine
The battlefield was already a mess before they showed up.
Mark barely had time to react before he heard the rip of dimensions being torn open, followed by an ungodly amount of shouting. He turned just in time to see not one, not two, but an entire squadron of himself stumbling through glowing portals, their expressions ranging from confused to deeply irritated.
“Oh, hell no,” Mark muttered. “Not this again.”
And then, because the universe hated him, the next portal opened—
And they arrived.
All of them. So many versions of you.
Mark’s stomach dropped as he locked eyes with his you, who was watching with wide, amused eyes. Then she turned to him, smiling so sweetly that he knew she was about to enjoy every second of this train wreck.
“This is gonna be so good,” she whispered gleefully.
Before he could respond, one of the Invincible variants groaned. “Oh, great. You’re here, too?”
One of the Reader variants put a hand over her heart, gasping dramatically. “Babe, don’t act like you’re not thrilled to see me.”
“I’d rather take a beating from Omni-Man.”
“Oh, honey.” She stepped closer, tilting her head. “That’s exactly what happened last time, and who was the one patching you up and kissing you better?”
Mark—original Mark—choked on air.
One of the other Invincible variants groaned, rubbing his temples. “Can we not do this right now?”
A different Reader variant scoffed. “Oh, I’m sorry, are we interrupting your little multiversal tantrum?” She waved a hand at the destroyed city behind them. “Because it really looks like you guys are making a mess.”
“Yeah, babe, not a great look,” another Reader chimed in, hands on her hips as she eyed her Mark up and down. “Honestly, I expected better.”
“Wait, you’re disappointed in me?” her Mark shot back incredulously.
“I love you, but also? Get your shit together.”
Mark buried his face in his hands. “I hate this. I hate all of this.”
Meanwhile, his reader was laughing herself sick.
—
The Guardians of the Globe arrived twenty minutes later and immediately regretted it.
“Uh,” Rex whispered, elbowing Eve. “Are we sure we need to be here?”
Eve was staring at the massive group of Invincibles, all arguing with their respective Readers. “I… I don’t know.”
“You think if we just, like… back away slowly, they won’t notice?”
Before Eve could answer, one of the Reader variants sprinted past them, leaped onto an Invincible’s back, and bit his ear.
“YOU LITTLE—” That Mark immediately started spinning in the air to try and shake her off, but she held on like a demon.
“Oh my God,” Eve whispered. “They’re feral.”
Rex looked at Original Mark, who was standing off to the side, looking like he wanted to die. “Dude. What is happening?”
Mark just let out a long sigh. “I don’t know, man. I just don’t know.”
—
After an entire hour of fighting, flirting, and general multiversal nonsense, they finally managed to somewhat settle down.
Which only meant that the chaos took a different form.
“Okay, okay,” one of the Invincibles—who wore a black suit instead of Mark’s usual yellow—leaned forward. “Hypothetically speaking—”
“No,” Original Mark said immediately.
Black-Suit Mark ignored him. “If one of us dated a Reader from a different universe—”
“NO.”
“—would it be cheating, or just dating the same person?”
Original Mark groaned. “What is wrong with you?!”
One of the Reader variants smirked. “I think it depends.”
“Don’t encourage this,” Mark pleaded.
Black-Suit Mark grinned. “I like this version of you.”
“Oh, I bet you do,” his Reader counterpart shot back, winking.
Across the room, another Invincible sighed deeply. “God, this is why I never date.”
His Reader rolled her eyes. “Oh please, you love me.”
“No, I tolerate you.”
She just beamed. “That’s practically a love confession coming from you.”
Original Mark stared at the sheer disaster in front of him and turned to his Reader with a desperate look. “This is my hell.”
She just smiled sweetly, kissed his cheek, and whispered, “You love me.”
Mark groaned, dropping his head onto her shoulder. “I do. And that’s the worst part.”
And with that, the multiversal chaos continued.

Hello, Blueteller-nim! I just want to ask what's happening rn in tcf part 2? Who are the new gods that have been introduced (and how many of those newly introduced gods became Cale's enemies)? How many hunters Cale already defeated (and how many more should he defeat)? Is there any news about the Fake Hilsman? Did Cale adopted a new kid? (Pls say yes I want him to adopt more lol)
Hi! I believe this exact question was sent to me before? Sorry it took me so long to reply! Every time I started writing, new lore got dropped and I ended up re-writing this reply from scratch. There's a lot to cover, so brace yourself for tons of SPOILERS
I made a post about TCF gods once already, but turns out, parts of it are outdated! Some new information got revealed that directly contradicts my old assumptions about several of them. But we'll get to it.
First of all, the Hunter families. The plot of Part 2 so far consists of Cale going to different dimensions to deal with them.
So there were originally seven, but by current time there were only five left to deal with. Let's quickly run by each of them one by one.
Black Bloods; residents of the planet Xiaolen – specifically Xiaolen 1 – named Huayans (Fayence in the first raw translations, just in case you've seen that version before), led by Redok. They were human Black Mages who specialized in "White Magic", meaning their variant of Black Magic was more powerful and it looked white. Pretty neat. They flooded Xiaolen with dead mana in order to sacrifice the world and gather its energy called "Karma". Still little detail on how Karma works exactly, but we know it can be gathered by either killing or saving tons of people – guess which method the Hunters use. Cale got a dramatic fire power boost because of some universal balance rules, and defeated them pretty easily. (Xiaolen citizens made Cale a statue in his honor, much to his despair lol)
Blue Bloods; residents of Central Plains, a pretty young world from what we know. They were known as the Blood Cult, lead by a female leader called Blood Demon. They created hundreds of thousands of zombies called Jiangshi and planned to cause a 3-way civil war in order to do the same thing Black Bloods were trying to do. Cale got a water power upgrade because of a dead Dragon and defeated a tsunami with a tsunami and got a splitting headache because of some third eye mumbo jumbo – long story. They were a little harder to defeat than Black Bloods, but they managed in the end. Choi Han got to personally slay the Blood Demon. (Central Plains citizens turned Cale into a folk story/legend and apparently there's already a cult for him hahaha)
Purple Bloods; resident of Aipotu – who consists entirely of Dragons and Dragon-bloods, led by Dragon Lord Neo (yes I'm pretty sure the name is a Matrix reference – love the irony of it so much). Purple Blood's specialty was getting to "inheriting" Dragon powers via some very questionable blood transfusions and heart transplants. Nasty stuff. Neo's Attribute was time, or something quite similar to it, and he used his time powers to mess up Aipotu and the World Tree, intending to transfer himself and all his followers/slaves into a Virtual Reality the Hunters planned to make their own new world. Cale had to use Instant to defeat Neo, turning his own broken plate into dust and eating it to survive (VERY questionable method, Cale!!). Dragon Half-Blood also had to sacrifice himself so Cale set him up as an NPC in the Virtual World and he gets to be reborn from an egg as a legit Half-Dragon named Eden Miru. These has been the most recent events in the story (also Aipotu residents built Cale a church under Clopeh and named it Five Colored Light religion HAHAHAHA). Speaking of Virtual Reality…
Transparent Bloods; residents of Earth 3 – the world where Anh Roh Man lives, the guy who made Alberu's Taerang; leader unknown so far. Apparently ARM's parents are the one who made the Virtual Reality, and the Hunters bought/stole it (and named it "Raising My Very Own Precious Omnipotent God!"??? Which is just hilarious…) So the game wasn't originally designed by them. That matters a lot, because it seems like not only VR is sentient like every other world so far, it has even created an AI specifically against the Hunters and their influence. It seems that VR is, in fact, a real world, capable of containing real people and their souls. So Cale will definitely be heading there next to save it from Transparent Bloods. But before we get to them…
Five-Colored Bloods; no apparent residence, but I have a suspicion… We found out very recently their leader is called the "Wanderer King". Which just screams to me of the whole "Mercenary King" invented by the White Star – the exact same brand of arrogance, really. Their specialty seems to be collecting and transferring power; that's how Dragon Lord Neo was able to get so much power to influence an entire world and the World Tree. They will be a pain to deal with, because they seem to be allied both with certain gods and demons. Which is why, btw, in the most recent chapters Cale went to the freaking Demon Realm. But more on that in a bit~!
White Bloods; all we know about them is from Choi Jung Gun in Sealed God's Temple Test of Sloth. To directly quote him, "The White Blood family betrayed the Hunters and escaped!" (chapter 730) – which I actually mixed up in the past, my bad; I thought it was the Red Blood family that betrayed them and escaped. Speaking of which:
Red Bloods; also known as Thames, last known member being Jour Thames (or is it Drew Thames in the EAP translation? Whatever, I prefer Jour…) and the "Fake Hilsman" who stole Cale's retirement fund. Judging from Jour mentioning her brother when Cale got the Annual Rings of Life Ancient Power, I think it's safe to assume it's that guy. CJG said to Cale that " The Red Blood family perished a long time ago", but he also said that "The Red Blood did not perish", so I think they also betrayed the Hunters and faked their death.
If you're still with me after ALL of that exposition, let me now actually address the actual question: the gods involved in the plot of in Part 2.
There are 5 gods we must talk about, and why I need the Hunter families context first will become clear in a moment.
God of Balance; apparently female, wears heels, and approaches people from behind for intimidation. I'd call her the "gentle in disposition yet extremely scary" grandma type. Basically forcefully summoned Cale to meet her after defeating the Blue Bloods on Central Plains (Cale did not see her face) and told/threatened Cale that he should become a god. One of the "Five Ancient Gods", which seem to be one of the if not THE oldest Gods around who did not retire yet for some reason. Seems like a real piece of work, though doesn't seem evil? More like a strict law enforced or corrupt politician. She did beat up the God of Death over giving Cale the dimension-transporting mirror Divine Item that one time. She also wrote a rulebook on universal balance, apparently. That's why most of Cales powers were sealed and weakened during the Central Plains arc.
God of Hope; I don't believe their gender was ever specified. I think some people assume she's female too, but I found no evidence for it so far? I might be wrong. Anyway – thanks to them visiting Cale to "scare away" the God of Balance, we got tons of info. The God of Hope said: "Including Balance, Chaos, and I, there are a total of five Ancient Gods. We have continued to protect these seats without ever handing it over to another existence. My my, we are all quite greedy. We all desire power as well." So the five Ancient Gods seem to be Balance, Chaos, Hope, and I think the last two are Fate and Blue Wolf? [EDIT: The last two were revealed to be Justice and Injustice in the most recent chapter. My mistake!] Anyway – the God of Hope is sometimes stronger than Balance and that pisses her off. They seem to be one of the most reasonable gods we've met so far, not only admitting that they did not wish to become a god at all but were forced to, but also sincerely cheering on Cale's dream, explaining that Balance wanted Cale to replace Hope and be her lackey. No thanks, Balance, that's never gonna happen. …I mean Cale might still end up a god, with how things are going, but. Definitely not working for Balance.
Blue Wolf; I'm also unsure if the gender ever got specified, though I got the impression that they're probably male so far? In any case, they showed up during the battle on Aipotu. One of the evil Hunter Dragons tried to summon them with a corrupt Divine Item and Lock ended up swallowing a blue flame (yes it was exactly as weird as it sounds). They seem to be the reason why Beast People are able to control their Berserk Transformations at all? Which is quite interesting. Little to no depth on this god's character so far, though, except for apparently liking Lock and making him a successor of some kind.
God of Chaos; we found out a couple of things about them so far in the Aipotu arc. One, their followers are complete freaks; like, Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist level of messed up. Their followers experiment on people AND themselves, like re-sewing limbs and creating chimeras (which explains lots of Hunter experiments honestly). Two, their representatives are able to use some weird similar-to-Dominating-Aura power which involves creepy Eldritch Horror Eyes? And Cale's gonna try and replicate that with the Donating Aura himself?? Well okay then…? Three, that god's power seems to be characterized by grey color (Dragon Lord Neo intended to use grey stuff to kill Aipotu with. Also worth mentioning; Choi Jung Gun apparently got poisoned by it, so now he's unconscious, slowly turning gray and dying. We'll see if Cale finds a way to save him.) Which – plot twist!! Actually came up in Part 1!! Looks like Sky Eating Water herself was subdued by that very god's power?! Together with God of War, no less, which brings us to the final god on the list…
God of War; turns out they're a double agent, if not a triple agent!! It's quite difficult to figure out what their deal is. Before, I kinda assumed they had to have some good intentions, because they helped created shelters and Cotton was their Holy Maiden and stuff. But nope. God of War is either working FOR or WITH the Hunters, although I'm inclined to think the latter. There seems to be something going behind the scenes, some personal agenda we don't know of yet? We know from Part 1 that God of War gave the people of the north a river, which the Sekka family hoarded selfishly for themselves, turning it into a lake. The God of War emptied the lake in retribution and sent a Divine Item that was a watering can full of fury. However – despite apparently all that good stuff and "breaking the slave chains" from Sky Eater Water, they also forced her to work for them as a Judge, which she hated so much she ran off. We now found out in Part 2 that God of War must have wanted to control Sky Eating Water, because she was so powerful she probably could have defeated the Ancient White Star by herself!! So, God of War teamed up with God of Chaos and chained her down in the lake in the Eastern Continent where Cale eventually got the Ancient Power from. A tragic end for her, but shows how merciless God of War was for his very own chosen one, in the end. God of War was also involved in giving Neo the knowledge on how to control Aipotu's power and the World Tree. There seems to be a lot more going on with the God of War we EVER knew, and the fact that the grey color has been set up back when Cale got Sky Eating water is straight up thrilling for me. I can't wait to find out more!!
So we finally covered all the Hunters and all the gods so far – goodness I'm sorry there's so much, but in my defense, that's about 300 chapters of context for it.
I roughly covered what happened so far through the two lists, but I'll add a few more things:
Cale defeated 3 out of 5 Hunter families so far: Black, Blue and Purple (like beating someone up and leaving colored bruises lol), with Transparent and Five Colors left. Also the ever-mysterious Hunter Leader called "The King's Successor", no idea if that's the Wanderer King or not, but I kind of doubt it. We'll see… (I also totally hope Cale kicks the a** of the God of Chaos, because they're a creep and deserve to burn in hell)
There seems to be another faction aside from Hunters & their supporters, or anti-Hunter gods like God of Death and non-affiliated people – there's a group called "Arbitrators" (raw translation, EAP did not get so far yet), which include Demons?? We don't know what their exact deal is yet, they seem to be about specific Divine/Demonic politics maybe? And Cotton is one of them because she turned her back on God of War?? And now Cale is in the Demon Realm, meeting a middle-aged demon princess named Aurora (whose father got dethroned and another guy took his place so Cale's probably gonna dethrone yet another monarch soon), and it turns out that the Arbitrators are totally BROKE, which kinda explains why Fake Hilsman stole Cale's money if he's one of them… Now Cale is scared because they want him to sponsor them HAHAHA – Alberu is gonna love the irony
No Cale did not officially adopt more kids sadly, but there's been some adorable kid characters showing up, and there's DEFINITELY a ton of new loyal Caleism followers – much to Cale's despair, as they're starting to worship him across dimensions… And with the Virtual Reality apparently being able to connect worlds, it's only the matter of time before Cale's slacker life is utterly screwed by multi-dimensional religion starring him as their Lord and Savior LOL
…So anyway, I hope it's what you've been asking for? Thank for reading this freakishly long post about my rambling on Part 2!

my outline for my 999 au!
(because there’s no way i’m actually going to actually finish this rip)
tldr: it's a death game on a boat, and nothing convoluted happens whatsoever!
Basically everything I had planned with giant spoilers for the Zero Escape series below!!!
youtube
Protag!Ford POV
Teen!Ford gets kidnapped on his way to college, wakes up on a replica of the Titanic, gradually meets the other participants, Zero introduces themself + rules of the game
Preston (doesn’t get a codename cos lame rich asshole) gets blown up to establish stakes if participants don’t abide by the rules (aka bombs in stomach allegedly)
Snakeyes is way too similar to a certain estranged twin despite being an old man…
Puzzle time!
Guess who got murdered! Almost everyone!
Repeat 1-5, with a lil variation (not all bad ends are murders, some are merely Ford getting softlocked/unable to continue any further)
And again
And again
And again–
Ford gradually builds up subconscious memories that lead into a “true end”
Tri is the culprit of the murders to no one’s surprise
What do you mean this is 2013
What do you mean time travel is a thing
Everyone here is from different time periods
Oh god that old man really is Stanley
What do you mean quantum timeline divergence
What do you mean there’s alternative universes
What do you mean this is all to save his brother who is stuck in a similar game, ten years in Ford’s future but thirty years in the past
Ford is Zero??? Or rather his future self is
Tri is the Zero of that other game??? And he created the vlr!game to murder Stanley early before he ruins his plans?? Also the whole. Actually is a triangular demon that had been midway through tricking Zero!Ford before he suddenly switched to murdering Stan
The old Stanley in this game is a clone???? A robot clone of a Stan from another world????????? (partially why he’s way too chill about dying :(((( natural disposition when made aware that he’s a “fake” and knows he can’t go back to his world because he’s not the Stan who belongs there…), while he’s technically Zero’s accomplice, he’s working to try to contain the damage to only this dimension
This game exists to rewrite the reality of Bill's game, Tri/“Silas” hasn’t become vlr's Zero yet or even learnt of the Stan twins existence until this 999!game started (a paradox already formed and there’s no going back unless his memory is somehow erased), the answer Zero!Ford settled on to save his Stanley is a simple “have teen!Ford give mullet!Stan the answers” except he threw in “do it via a psychic connection that’s immune to the laws of space-time (aka morphogenetic field from the VNs) that they don’t have… yet!” (can’t ya like. Use phones or somethin…)
Have the chance to rewrite all of their fates from the get go at the risk of the sheer amount of unstable paradoxes collapsing literally everything, sea clone!Stan working to prevent that because despite his entire life, he knows that some form of him is happy in that world at last and will protect OG world + family at all costs
But Time Pirates CYA!Dipper was in the vlr game all along!!! (with an alt!Wendy as support) using the same trick aka the morphogenetic field connection to communicate between games with Mabel via Axolotl shenanigans!
Protag!Ford free to rescue mullet!Stan without fear of their plane of existence literally blowing up yippee!
Teen!Ford and mullet!Stan only having a moment to see each other before the connection is broken, and the exposition dump is finally over
Order of events
In origin 2012, the Stan twins beat Bill Cipher (in an offshoot of the OG verse, the CYA twins drive between time and space and meet the Axolotl)
In the Zero verse, midway through conning researcher!Ford, the Bill of this multiverse finds out that Stanley had managed to undo Weirdmageddon, doesn't know the details, but hey! Why don't we nip that problem in the bud?
Comes up with the most fucked up way, designed to crush both brothers mentally, vengeance now, wait for another sucker to build a portal in the future when all of the other Zodiac are firmly dead
In 1981 with the boat replica constructed by lingering Ciphertologist cultists, the game begins with mullet Stan and 7 random others, while researcher!Ford is stuck in isolated part of the boat as Bord takes over when he sleeps (ate so many sleeping pills)
Other participants all reach the end but at the last moment Stan gets tricked into entering a room (with the bait being his old photo of him and Ford) that reveals itself to be an incinerator
Only way to unlock the door is via an unsolvable puzzle/needs perpetual motion machine info, Bord uses this as a chance to mock Stan with the claim that Ford is behind this but Stan calls his bluff
At least 7 participants escape. maybe.
A day later, Ford wakes up in an escape room (the captain’s quarters of the boat), and after solving it, he then finds the tape recording what happened to his brother
Breakdown from guilt and grief, proceeds to come up with even more convoluted plan to save his brother, will refuse any other option and is focused on saving that specific Stan
Focuses obsessive research on space/time using some of his knowledge from partial construction of the portal, stealing from Time Cops and partially with Fiddleford's help (who has no idea of his true intentions)
Takes decades to prepare everything, resents the origin twins, but clone/duplicates instead of kidnapping OG!Stan to participate in the game cos didn’t truly want to harm him (you fool, your not-completely messed up intentions has left a Stan astray forever!!)
999!boat is a pocket dimension that's now a mess of time and space, a contradiction, simultaneous time periods at once, at risk of destroying the universe by merely existing
The timeline in the pocket dimension gets erased everytime teen!Ford “loses” and reset to the beginning where only he carries over subconscious memories (or so Zero!Ford believes)
The game is designed to force teen!Ford to interact with “Silas”, ensuring his younger self learns not to trust Bill the hard way (the entire game is basically a messed up form of self harm and endless grief)
The end goal is for teen!Ford to sync up with mullet!Stan’s mental state moments before death so he can access the morphogenetic field
But if teen!Ford does succeed then the giant paradox would mean it’s all for naught anyway!
????
Reveal that Dipper+Mabel got their own plan suckers!!! Offshoots of the origin verse twins who encountered a god (aka the choose your own adventure twins who got lost between time and space, and got enlisted by the Axolotl), possessing younger alt selves but will swap back + wake up in their original dimension without memories of these events aka original end when they met the Axolotl in the hidden page
Kids tricks Bord into thinking Mullet Stan died, got schrodinger cat-ed??? manages to stabilize multiple timelines at once (....don’t ask me the specifics), meaning in the end Zero!Ford failed as his Stan is still dead even though a new timeline was created
The end results in participants being sent home to individual timelines, time-space of this universe now looking more like a messed up amalgamation of 20 yarn balls knotted together
Clone!Stan stays with Zero!Ford + not letting him turn himself in to the Time Cops and now are on the run (he still gets occassional gifts for the Dipper+Mabel+Soos of that timeline even though they don’t know him and never will…)
Back on vlr!boat, there’s an 80s bro reunion, with the threat of Bill still lingering
Teen!Ford chooses to delay college for a bit while searching for teen!Stan, in truth hasn’t quite forgiven his Stan but doesn’t want to lose him
Clone!Stan notes:
More of a scifi-magic duplicate than a clone really
"Existential crisis + having his happy end ripped away from" time
Ends up at peace with himself, even if he and memories were fabricated, still real to him + remembers those past few years of happiness and knows that the real Stan is still out there living his life
Still fucking stressed as hell tho
Will piss Zero!Ford off by sarcastically calling him dad, is honestly freaked out that he’s only like. A few weeks old. And like. A magic robot????
His acting chops being pushed to the limits when confronted with teen Ford, a younger Mabel, a much older Soos (who’s more quieter and a bit more bitter even if it’s still his kind self) and of course Bill possessing a dead con artist’s body
Sometimes Zero!Ford asks him how he handled his grief from losing his Ford to the portal, the simple answer is that he didn’t and he’s the worst person to ask about moving on
And that's mostly it!!!
#blowing open this catbox with extreme prejudice#999 gf au#999 au#stan pines#ford pines#(this will... likely not make much sense)#(but honestly??? thats pretty true to the spirit of VNs)#from this you can instantly see what i mean by 'i wrote the beginning and end but definitely not the middle' haha#stanford pines#stanley pines

Entities within the World.
This is a non exhaustive list of some of the entities that exist within the story “You are Sheol”. All of these entities are inspired by figures in myths around the world, but are not exactly the same.
Chimeras
Chimeras are inexplicable creatures who defy the natural laws of death. Chimeras do not die when killed, rather, they reorganize their cells and reanimate as a different person with the same memories. Chimeras have the ability to influence the fabric of reality. Notoriously fragile, Chimeras are known to split into separate consciousnesses when severely injured to avoid reincarnation. Chimeras are the only entities observed in creation that are skilled at absorption. There are perfect and imperfect Chimera.

Higher Gods
Higher Gods are entities which exist in dimensions tens to hundreds of layers above ours. Because these entities are so incredibly complex, powerful, and dense, Higher Gods will split their consciousness among thousands of Angels who will all collectively carry out their will. This allows Higher Gods to interact with the universe in lower dimensions without destroying the fabric of everything. Every angel within a Higher God’s pantheon is literally a piece of that God. This means that in order to witness a Higher God, every single angel from its pantheon must be observed in a single realm.
The risk with splitting your consciousness among angels like this is that angels, while extremely disciplined, also have free will and can and occasionally do seek other Gods from other pantheons to work with. Likewise , Angels are known to disagree with each other very often, and conflicts between specific Angels mean the decimation of an entire pantheon.

Lower Gods
Lower Gods can be described as Gods whose consciousness can be contained within a single entity. Lower Gods do not split their consciousness among Angels and can operate completely independently. Daemons and Angels alike can become Lower Gods with enough Energy. Lower Gods are known to do magick with humans often. Lower Gods can take Angels and Daemons from other pantheons under their ray. Lower Gods can be worshiped. Lower Gods are not to be mistake for “lesser” gods.

Collective Angels
There are some pantheons that do not follow this traditional understanding of the hierarchy of Angels, some of which may be explored at different times. Our story is mainly centered around a Pre- Abrahamic understanding of the traditional hierarchy inspired by Summaria, Zoroastrianism, Canaanites and early Judaism with a dash of Christianity; however, this pantheon can be considered *somewhat* original as it does not strictly adhere to the beliefs of these faiths. Consider it an eclectic blend of all of these things.
Every Angel looks and behaves entirely uniquely, however, they all share the quality of being highly energetic, incredibly bright burning, intensely massive, lofty entities. Both Angels and Demons present in many forms including humanoid and anthropomorphic. Angels will appear as different sexes at different times. Their truest form is inconceivable to normal Humans.
Highest orders: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones.
Middle orders: Dominions, Virtues, Powers.
Lowest orders: Principalities, Archangels, Angels.
(These directional descriptors do not at all reference power or importance, rather consider them explanations of how close or far away from Humanity each order is, with the highest being furthest away. Archangel Jophiel, for example, commands legions of Cherubim even though they are technically in a higher order than her)
Collective Angels work as a hive mind, though they do not all have the same thoughts or opinions. Any prayers made towards The Higher God or energy given is distributed evenly among every single collective Angel.
A Nega (Pronounced Negga)
A Nega ____ can be described as the inverse function of a celestial. Every celestial has an inverse counterpart. The Negas of the 72 Angels of Creation are the 72 Angels of Destruction. Negas also carry out the wills of their God and can be considered a part of the Collective Angels.

^ This song captures the vibes of Collective Angels well
Watchers
A class of Angels that were exiled for lusting after and procreating with Humans.

Nephilim
The unholy offspring of Watchers and Humans. Giants.

Daemons
The difference between Daemons and Angels is more political than physiological. There are many reasons why an Angel may radicalize and become a Daemon, however, the most common reason is a desire to operate as an individual rather than as a collective. Along with this many Daemons are not fond of the very strict contact rules with Humans that Angels must follow, and would like to do magick with them. “Daemon” is a self proclaimed title. Because Angels and Daemons cannot accept worship, the only time they are able to accept energy from a human as their own is through magical operations and offerings. After being cut from the collective pool of energy collective Angels share, many Daemons utilized magical contracts with Humans to stay self-sufficient.
Daemons are known to have better social skills with Humans than Angels. Daemons do not have Negas. Like Angels, Daemons are free will entities and may or may not be tolerant towards Humans.

^This song captures the vibes of Daemons well.
Djinni, Fairies, Natural Spirits
Human-like entities that existed before humanity. These entities have their own beliefs and religions. All of these living creatures have free will, eat, sleep, procreate, and die.
Thank you for reading! I think in my next posts I’ll explore the main characters of the story.

@augusnippets Day One: Brainwashing
I was originally planning on making these generic, nameless, whumpee/whumper things, but I thought it would be more fun to use my different characters. This was… MUCH harder than I thought it would be. Between picking the character and not trying to spoil something that actually happens in my series, it's a challenge in and of itself, nevermind the 31-day prompts! This was hard to plan out, I hope you like them, and I hope you'll like this glance into my broader book universe AKA my entire life lol
I've been procrastinating all day, but here it is! I feel like most people have these all ready in advance, but I'm writing these one day at a time just like god intended. Alright, enough yapping.
Content: (Implied) brainwashing and propaganda, fantasy racism.
Characters used: Misty (angel) and Jackson (demon)
These are pretty much exclusively for myself, but if you enjoy them that's cool, too! I just wanna challenge myself with writing my different characters every day.
Also sorry if the writing is bad, I wrote this in 20 minutes at 11 PM, lol. I'm jus' goin' with it, man.
~~~
"Do you have to bother me?" Jackson exasperated. "Do you not have anything better to do with your time?"
Misty straightened herself, "Do I have to bother you?" She scoffed, "Is that what you think this is? Am I a mild annoyance to you?"
"You are, yeah. Now, your mother, that's someone I would take seriously. But you're just a little girl who's been fed so much propaganda that she thinks what she's doing isn't crazy."
"Little girl?" She took offence, "We're the same age! Don't- don't you dare condescend me!"
"If me being slightly rude to you is the worst thing that's ever happened in your privileged life then you're doing pretty good." Misty was about to reply, but Jackson continued, "I'm sure Heaven isn't all it's cut out to be, really. There are so many different dimensions and planets in our world, what makes you think yours is the sole paradise? All of that brainwashing propaganda they feed you? That they feed the humans while they're still on Earth? Does it make you happy to stomp on creatures who don't have the same privilege you do? Does it make you proud, Princess?"
"No, see this is what you demons do. You lie, you trick, you steal, all for your own gain. You don't care about humans, don't act like you do. As Princess of Angels it is my job to keep them safe. Me, my family, and all of the other higher angels stress by the day. I am not the highest authority, I will admit. I would never place myself to the same level as the Virtues, Thrones, or Seraphim. I am merely an Archangel who looks after humans."
"That's a whole lot of yapping to say fucking nothing. Really though, you should consider yourself lucky. You have an entire team of angels to help you. You know what my job as Prince entails? Making sure that all of Hell doesn't literally fucking escape! Do you think we ALL want this shit? You think we're all evil just because our magic is different than yours? Because we look different? Because we live somewhere you deem unholy?"
"You're lying."
"Is that your only retort? That we lie? Because the only people that I see lying are angels."
"Angels would never lie, that's a sin."
"Well then your people are the biggest sinners I know." He said, "And, honestly, Misty... If you really want to do good in this world, you should look out for all of your souls. It just so happens some are suffering in Hell."
"Why should I care about them? They made their choice while they were on Earth."
"And what about all of the non-humans who were sent there as a form of punishment?"
Misty rolled her eyes, "That doesn't happen!"
"Really? It doesn't? How would you know, did your family tell you that, too? Look, one of us here is the demon prince who has seen this stuff first hand, and the other is a sheltered angel princess who's rarely left the safety of paradise. I bet you don't even know what happens in Hell. I bet they tell you it's all fun and games down there, don't they?"
"Of course not, Hell is supposed to be a punishment."
"Then what kind of punishments are happening in Hell?"
Misty was silent.
Jackson spoke darkly, "Do you want me to tell you?"
This wasn't very whumpy but hey, I still followed the prompt! I think it's quite fun to take a prompt and spin it a bunch. It makes things more creative and diverse. The whump is more so implied in this one.
Also I don't think this is technically canon to my series because I'm not sure when this conversation takes place. It would have to be while they're really young because Misty has always been more of a rebel teen, but the dialogue isn't exactly childish. Oh well, it's fun to write random stuff without worrying about actual canon to its fullest. This is slightly out-of-character for the both of them but not enough that it's weird.
Also it is like almost midnight that's how much I've procrastinated lol. Good night
fic: beware the jabberwock
whumptober day 6: regret masterlist: tumblr, ao3 Created by Dark Dimension magic, the Framework is a world all its own — which means it can be portaled to like any other.
Dr. Elias Morrow dies in an industrial accident, leaving his modest estate to his two nephews, Roberto, twenty-three, and Gabriel, twelve.
At least, that’s what Robbie gleans from snooping. Though, does it really count as snooping if it’s technically your house? It’s jarring, waking up in a bed that’s his own, yet not his own. He doesn’t recognize his bedroom, nor the rest of the house. It’s nice, nicer than his actual home, that’s for sure. There are no engine parts strewn on the kitchen table or car manuals on the bookshelf.
No, that’s not entirely true. There are car manuals — but they clearly haven’t been touched in years. On the table instead are books of concepts and blueprints way beyond his understanding, which Robbie at first assumes belong to Gabe. Then he sees the framed diploma on the wall: It’s his name on there, Caltech conferring upon him a master’s cum laude in mechanical engineering.
It makes his head spin a bit, until he remembers Gabe’s voice from long ago in quite literally another world.
How come you didn’t go back and finish school? We’re doing okay now. If you went back, maybe you could be an engineer, like Tío.
“An engineer …” he mutters to himself, running his fingers down the wooden frame.
He takes in the other photos scattered around the living room. Many are the same: Mom, Dad, Uncle Eli, him at high school football practice, Gabe at a science fair. One in particular catches his eye, however, of what appears to be his graduation. Various colored tassels hang around his neck as he rests his hand on the back of Gabe’s wheelchair. It gives him pause. He’d have thought that if Robbie — this Robbie — did go back and finish school, there’d have been no accident. That his path, and Gabe’s, would’ve been set on too different a course to end up on that same stupid road. No accident, no paralysis, no Ghost Rider.
A regular accident, then? Maybe Gabe was in the car with Mom and Dad when it crashed and survived where they didn’t. Or maybe it was the same as in the real world, except Robbie’s injuries hadn’t been fatal, so he’d had no occasion to beg the universe for help? Or was it none of those things and Gabe had simply been born that way?
Five minutes he’s been in this world and he’s already frustrated. It’s disconcerting to not know even the most basic of facts about his life.
The Rider had warned him about this, that this world could be alluring. Distracting. In fact, this was the exact reason the Rider didn’t want him to go into this dimension in the first place, seeing as how he could not follow. The constructed world was nearly perfect — but it existed in a reality all its own without a hell for a demon to attach itself to. At least, the Rider was not willing to gamble his own existence by jumping into a dimension that might swallow him whole.
Robbie himself, however, mortal and moping, the Rider was reasonably sure could survive if he were careful.
Which had felt so utterly patronizing that Robbie had walked through the portal mid-warning. Besides, it wasn’t like he could just not come. He wasn’t about to let a robot armed with the Darkhold have free rein over the people he’d come to consider … well, not friends, really, but coworkers. Allies.
The crux of it all is that regardless of what the intrepid S.H.I.E.L.D. team is or isn’t, they’re people he’s honor-bound to rescue. Maybe they can do it themselves — but he’s not about to take the chance that they can’t, that they’ll be trapped in this place forever under Aida’s thumb to do with what she will. Robbie knows all too well what it is to be someone’s puppet. If he can spare others that fate, he’ll do it no matter how strange or dangerous the circumstances.
The smell of smoke hitting his nose brings him out of his ruminations. He looks down to see it seeping from beneath his fingers, the wooden picture frame beginning to char. He drops it in alarm, glass shattering upon impact with the floor.
Robbie stares at his hands. Though there’s no active flame, he can feel the power running through his veins. It’s not exactly the same as he’s used to, like drinking off-brand Coke, but it’s close enough.
He doesn’t understand. The Rider had said this world couldn’t accommodate him, and Robbie doesn’t feel him inside his head, so how …?
Robbie jumps at the sound of a phone ringing. He reaches into his pocket for his cell, and finds nothing. The ring is coming from the kitchen wall — an honest-to-god landline. No bells or whistles, not even caller ID. Tabling the power mystery for later, he picks up the handset.
“Hello?”
“Robbie! Glad I caught you. You headed into work yet?”
He doesn’t remotely recognize the voice, nor does he have the slightest clue where “work” is. “Uh, no, not yet. What do you need?”
“One of the guys called out, some family emergency, and half the DMV metro has decided to have car troubles today. Mind filling in for old times’ sake?”
“Fill in as … a mechanic?”
“You said if I ever needed a favor —”
“Yeah, that’s fine, just …”
He has no idea if it’s fine. For all he knows, wherever he works would cap him for missing a day. But that’s a bridge he’ll cross when he gets to it. Fixing up some rides would not only be a welcome return to form but give him ample opportunity to learn some more about this place.
“Can you give me that address again?” he asks.
“You serious?”
“Moved on to bigger and better things, man, what can I say?”
After some indignation, the guy on the other end does give him the address. Robbie manages to find a map of D.C. in his office and charts the route to the shop.
The Charger sitting pretty in his avatar’s garage is a sight for sore eyes. Apart from having apparently been retrofitted with seatbelts, she looks the same. Sounds and feels the same, too, as he starts her up and eases out onto the road. While using a portal for transportation has its novelty and convenience, there’s nothing quite like the rough purr of his baby’s engine.
The only thing that mildly dampens his enjoyment is the realization that if ever there were a time to obey the speed limit, it’d be now. With the Rider, having a lead foot never mattered — the power that imbued the Charger with regenerative capabilities and pyrokinesis also prevented cops from noticing her speed.
Now, he’s got no demon to fend off law enforcement, and although he doesn’t know what the penalty here is for speeding, he assumes it’s more than a fine. Which is heat he definitely doesn’t need. He’s got a mission to carry out.
The farther he drives, the more he decides speed isn’t the issue anyway. It’s the surroundings. Everything is gray and uniform, with HYDRA symbols stamped on every available surface. Electronic highway signs tell people to report their neighbors. Dilapidated neighborhoods are a dime a dozen. Even the few people that actually walk the streets look miserable. The only familiar thing about any of it is that his car gets double-takes of admiration. He wonders if his avatar had gotten special dispensation to keep it. There is very little variety in the other cars he passes.
He walks into the shop with what he hopes exudes confidence, even as he takes in with disgust all the HYDRA propaganda posters littered on the walls. Required reading, no doubt.
“Reyes!” comes a voice across the shop. Its owner Robbie recognizes in person no more than he did over the phone. With a proffered uniform, the man greets, “Appreciate the help. Got a full slate for you as soon as you get dressed.”
Robbie nods, then heads into the back room to change. He hopes he can get the lay of the land quick enough to point him in the direction of how to find the team. If HYDRA’s running the show, he doubts S.H.I.E.L.D. will be up and running out in the open, which means it’ll take precious time to figure out where they are.
—
“A flat tire?” Robbie blinks in bewilderment as Phone Man — whom Robbie has since learned is named Perry — tells him the reason for pulling him from an accident repair job. “That’s what you’re sending me out on a call for?”
“What, you’re too good for it?” says Perry, frazzled and perturbed. “The call came from a HYDRA number, it’s top priority.”
If Robbie never hears the word HYDRA again after all this is over, it’ll be too damn soon.
“All right, I’m going, I’m going.”
The address leads him to a deserted stretch of highway outside the city, which makes him a little apprehensive. It doesn’t seem like a normal place a HYDRA agent would be. Then again, even after several hours of being in the shop conversing with both ex-work buddies and customers alike, the biggest things he’s gathered are that this world well and truly sucks, and that HYDRA has a habit of popping up when it’s most inconvenient for its citizens.
The vehicle is easy to spot, at least, halfway onto the road’s narrow shoulder and predictably emblazoned with HYDRA’s ostentatious sigil. A young woman leans against the side, looking annoyed rather than concerned or in trouble. Maybe he can delay, ask her some questions. While it’s been a good decade since he’s had reason to charm anyone, he can give it a shot.
“Need some help, ma’am?” he asks cheerily as he approaches with a toolbox. “We got a … call …”
He stares at the woman, stunned. She stares back at him, equally so. Because it’s not just a woman, it’s Daisy. She looks different, hair past her shoulders with a drab wardrobe and distinctly less eyeliner, but it’s unmistakably her. He’d know her anywhere.
“Robbie?”
She recognizes him, too, then. Thank Christ.
Dryly, he replies, “Surprise.”
“Wait … you’re you? Real world you?”
“Yeah, I’m me. Mostly.”
“How? And what do you mean ‘mostly’?”
“Long story. Short version, I’m here to help.”
“That’s the best news I’ve heard in months,” Daisy says with a tired yet brilliant smile. “God, I can’t wait to see Aida’s ass get lit up.”
If only.
“About that … Ghost Rider’s not in the building.”
“Excuse me?”
“Part of that long story. I was able to portal to this dimension, but he couldn’t.”
Daisy grimaces. “Not gonna lie, it would’ve been useful to have that firepower.”
“Well,” Robbie says, trying not to be offended, “there is this.”
He focuses on the frenetic energy that sluices through his every cell down to the very marrow of his bones, then watches with satisfaction as a ball of fire forms in his palm.
Daisy’s eyes go wide. “Okay, hold up. You’re an Inhuman?”
“I think so.” Robbie extinguishes the fireball with a sizzle. “It’s probably the closest Aida could get to what I actually am.”
“Nice of her to activate your powers. That makes one of us.”
“You can’t quake anything here?”
“Nope. I still have the gene, but I haven’t gone through terrigenesis. Guess Aida didn’t bother making sure you hadn’t since that showdown with Eli seemed pretty final.”
As shameful as the feeling is, he can’t help but be a little happy that he’s here. It may not be a physical realm, and it may be run by the worst humanity has to offer, but he’s as close to being on Earth and his own person as he’s likely ever to be again. No fire except that which he can make himself. No brimstone or unholy screams or blood, guts, and ichor staining his hands. He tries not to think about the fact that once the team gets out of this place and Aida is dealt with, he’ll be bound once more for hell.
This world, Earth, Daisy, it’s all fleeting.
Focusing on the woman in front of him and not the after, he asks, “did you really call for a flat tire? You don’t know how to change one yourself?”
“Of course I know how to change one. There’s no spare in this thing, and the car called the closest mechanic. It was either try to get somewhere on foot or wait for a tow.”
“And your plan was what? Steal the truck?”
“Maybe. I don’t need powers to commit grand theft auto.” Daisy glances down at the hand that a few moments ago had held a fireball. “How’d you get yours anyway?”
“No idea. I think the accident Gabe and I were in still happened, but it’s not like I could Google it. Aida really went full fascist, didn’t she?”
“Absolute power, blah blah blah. So, are we gonna go or what?”
“Go? Go where?”
Daisy grins. “How’d you like to become an enemy of the state?”
Post-Fall Falls False Starts- Chapter 2: Nightmare Fuel
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
His first two thoughts on the back of the red van were wordless, pure emotional bursts that he couldn't have described eloquently with a million years to think about it. Anyone trying to simplify those feelings must first acknowledge that no set of words can ever be exactly equivalent to those sorts of unfiltered emotions, and approach the task with that in mind.
The first one was roughly, "Heh heh, pretty clever of me, huh?"
The second one was roughly, "OUCH!"
The universe tore up around him, he hung on for dear life, and his knuckles went white with exertion at about the same time his vision went white from overstimulation. It had been a few seconds- or a few hours, or a few millennia- when he realized how tight his grip was, how much his fingers ached, and how much longer he could hold on- only a few seconds. Hoping desperately that the stillness around him was real stillness and not the product of his fragile polygonal brain shutting down in the face of incomprehensible speeds, he let go and tumbled down onto what felt almost like asphalt, but more alive. He opened his eye. There was another eye staring back at him from the ground.
"Agh-!"
He stood up involuntarily on shaky legs, wringing his hands, adjusting to the feeling of being on solid ground once again. It was solid ground! And the sky wasn't TV static! It was... reddish-pink in some parts and orange, like the color of fire, in others. Another universe, surely, and one where the ground had a heartbeat. Or had that been his own heartbeat playing loudly in his head? He reached down and felt the warm blacktop beneath him. No, it really was pulsating- besides, he hadn't had a heartbeat since the day of his disfigurement. Was this place alive? That explained the eye. That also explained the small mouth he now noticed a couple of feet from him, and the pair of noses growing from the ground several feet beyond that. This place had a lot of orifices, and though he knew it wasn't too different from the faces that adorned many of Elmore's objects, he still found himself averting his gaze.
He turned his attention away from the ground and the sky to check out what was in between them and found a sight both familiar and unsettling: a gas station! Its name: Gas Giant. Its logo: A star with a big red X through it. The exterior was almost fleshy. Everything here was either almost fleshy or entirely fleshy. No way could he stay here, but that was alright, all he had to do was hang on again when the shopkeeper left. All he had to do was go through that vertigo-inducing nightmare of an experience a third time. "Toughen up, stupid, you're almost to safety," said the little demon version of himself on his right shoulder. "Maybe you should run for the hills and stay in this dimension," said the other little demon on his left shoulder, who really should have been an angel, right? Why were both of them demons? Because he was evil? What did that say about his mental state? Oh, well, it was just a creative visualization of his subconscious, and that meant he could reach up with both hands and crush them into dust. He took great pleasure in doing so a few seconds later.
A grotesque, four-armed monster with an eye where its mouth should have been left the convenience store portion of the station with a shopping bag in his telekinetic grasp. It was followed by a more humanoid armless being who glowed white and had an electrical socket-shaped face. In other words, nothing too out of the ordinary. It was much more concerning for Rob to see the shopkeeper, who stood taller than he imagined and wore a black hood that made him look like a cultist, leaving the store with a party-sized bag of chips and a gaze that could fall on him any moment! He ducked behind the van, mind racing. This was bad. He couldn't be found out, not now! Not so close to salvation, to starting over. What had his plan been? How had this ever seemed foolproof? He scouted out a path away from the van and realized to his horror that there was a sheer drop on the horizon. This was a floating island. It was far too large to see what exactly was beneath, but he also had no time to run to the edge and find out. There was nowhere to hide.
Rob steeled himself and decided not to try.
He stood next to the van, looked down at an invisible watch, leaned one elbow on the hood of the van all cool-like, and glanced up for just a second to meet the left eye of the shopkeeper as he returned from his snack run- meeting both eyes had always been a challenge for him, of course.
"Hey there, man," said Rob, voice faltering ever so slightly. For a long while, it seemed like he wasn't going to get a reaction.
Before he received any kind of verbal response, his arm was grabbed, the door was opened, and he was painfully yanked into the shadowy store within once again. The shopkeeper's shoulders slumped and he let out a loud, vulnerable sigh as his silhouette faded into the darkness.
"How did you follow me? Did you steal something back there when you tried to attack me? A portal replicator, perhaps, or one of those keychains that links your soul to the first person you inflict pain upon?"
"No! No. I just held onto the back."
"You-"
The shopkeeper slapped his knee, or at least that's what it sounded like. He laughed! Hard. And then he glared disapprovingly.
"You've got to be messing with me," he said, sounding defeated. "It was really that simple? I'll have to remember to install barbed wire on the back door."
"You were about to leave me in that crumbling static wasteland. You would have done the same if it had been you out there!"
"Why would I have hung onto the back of my own van?"
"I don't- I mean- It's a hypothetical, okay?"
The shopkeeper ate some chips sorrowfully. There was a loud crunching noise, and Rob pondered his lack of a visible mouth, but decided it would be rude to ask his potential ticket out of here about the details of his strange shadow man anatomy. Finally, the crunching slowed, the van- which had been slowly moving- came to a halt, and the shopkeeper opened the doors again.
"No, no, no, wait! Please! Don't leave me here-"
"Go fill up the tank."
Rob gulped, wondering whether this was the mercy it appeared to be.
"Is this- is this goodbye? After I'm done, are you just gonna-"
"Come back after you've filled the van up and we can talk."
He nodded wordlessly and made his way to the pump. The hose also felt alive, but he pretended it was just the diesel coursing through and the idea calmed his nerves a little. As the tank filled up, his emotional state changed, but he found that he couldn't tell whether he was getting more anxious or less, much to his discontent. The machine beeped, the flow stopped (though the pulsating of the hose didn't), and a gaping maw opened up in the fueling station where a card reader might have been. A shadowy hand tapped him on the shoulder and passed him a small velvet sachet that he quickly emptied into the hole, flinching and stepping back when he realized the bag was full of teeth.
"Will the place we're going be as freaky as this place? For that matter, what is this place?" Rob asked, head in his hands, sitting on the floor of the van a few moments later.
"A dimension with no rules and cheap fuels," said the shopkeeper in response. He shrugged. "And, no. Where we're going-"
"Where we're going? So that means I'm coming with you, then! Why didn't you say so earlier? I was so worried, and surely you could have seen that!"
"Don't test my patience, young man. I'm taking you along on a one-way trip, free of charge, out of the kindness of my heart."
"And where was the kindness of your heart back when-"
"I said not to test my patience!"
"Fine, fine. Tell me about where we're headed."
The van pulled out. It was far easier to stomach the feeling when you were inside of it rather than hanging onto the back for dear life, Rob found. How different would his new home- he had taken to thinking of it as a home already- be from his original home? Would there be buses there to ride? Coffee to drink? It seemed like the shopkeeper wasn't about to answer for several long moments, but he piped up with perhaps the least helpful piece of information possible.
"It's a place where you never have to pump your own gas."
"So, are we talking some sort of sci-fi future dimension, or...?"
"No, no, they've just got attendants! It's not the future."
"Does this place we're going have a name? Would I have even heard of it?"
"Perhaps. Well, if I'm being honest, definitely. It's called Oregon."
"Huh? But- I thought you said we were going to another dimension."
"We are."
The all-too-familiar feeling of the universe tearing up erupted around them for just a moment and then, though it wasn't visible from the store, a road stretched out before the driver, and the first vestiges of daylight spilled up over the silhouette of a dark forest into a starry night sky.
Essential Avengers: Avengers #331: Pediments of Clay
April, 1991
In final battle against the TETRARCHS OF ENTROPY!
Is THAT what we're doing? I thought we were dealing with Ngh the Unspeakable kidnapping Rage's Granny Staples. And also the Tetrarchs were planning on betraying the Avengers afterward.
And what's a pediment? Well, either a fancy bit of archeology or a gently sloping bedrock surface in geology. I feel like the archeology definition is the relevant one. Something that looks fancy but is actually fragile.
Anyway.
Last times in Avengers: the Avengers came up with a very slightly different new roster and immediately got kidnapped by these cosmic jerks called the Tetrarchs of Entropy and sent to entropy jail for accidentally enabling the jailbreak of Ngh the Unspeakable and co.
By besting the Tetrarchs' weird outer space tests, the Avengers proved that they were not jerks so the Tetrarchs brought them back to Earth so that the Avengers and Tetrarchs together could hunt down Ngh et al.
Meanwhile, the Avengers reserve squad held down the fort. Including newest Avenger, Rage. Who is secretly a teenager who got buff from toxic waste.
Ngh and so on teamed up with drug dealer L.D. 50 and kidnapped Rage's Granny Staples to force Rage to be their mole in the Avengers.
Rage was ordered not to tell anyone. Instead, he told everyone.
Ngh the Unspeakable: "You ignorant fool! The whole point of my taking your precious granny hostage, was to turn you into my agent inside the Avengers!" Rage: "I figured as much! But my granny taught me never to make any sort of deal with your kind!" Granny Staples: "I brought that boy up good!"
Seriously. Most things would wring so much drama out of this but Rage just went nah I'm going to use all these superheroes that I have near me.
Good on him.
Ngh the Unspeakable threatens Granny Staples because at this point, a guy that is just evil for the sake of evil is going to do that.
But he's not going to do anything boring like hurt the old woman. He's going to turn her into a demon!
Like he did with L.D. 50 and his gang!
They look ridiculous. Better not risk it, Rage.
She-Hulk tells Ngh that he's going back to the Dimension of Exile, cuing him up for a 'you and what army' so the Tetrarchs of Entropy can dramatically reveal themselves.
Tetrarch of Entropy 1: "What are piddling armies to the Tetrarchs of Entropy?" Tetrarch of Entropy B: "The combined legions of entire planetary systems tremble before us!"
Which sets up Ngh to Uno Reverse the dramatic reveal by dramatically claiming that the Tetrarchs of Entropy are big ol' frauds.
Ngh the Unspeakable: "Ha! You really think these charlatans are forces of the universe? They are simply delusionary maniacs! I, Ngh the Unspeakable, am a true focal point through which powerful and undeniable elemental forces move!"
Ngh claims that the Tetrarchs tricked him into the dimension of exile, where he would be powerless but now he's in a society and all the evil is making him more powerful than the Tetrarchs can hope to contend with!
(By the way, random bystanders are watching this cosmic throwdown like its prime entertainment. Granted, I'm reading the same thing so.)
Ngh tells his 'uglies' to attack and his various demons and monsters charge forward to fight the Avengers and the Tetrarchs.
She-Hulk comments that these various demons and monsters ARE tougher than they were in the dimension of exile so Vision decides that Ngh was telling the truth about them getting buff off evil.
Also, Rage tries to tell the bystanders to stop bystanding and gets WHAPped in the head for it.
No good deed goes unpunished or whatever.
Meanwhile, hey, Captain America isn't in the crowd scene. Where's the fearless leader?
Well, he's back at Avengers Headquarters, which Marvel wiki says is Avengers Mansion but the outside shot looks like a different building and I'm pretty sure that the new UN Avengers have a different headquarters. After all that time revamping the mansion. Or maybe it was just revamped to look different.
Anyway.
Captain America is managing things from headquarters. He decides against calling in the other reserves. And he has Thor and Sersi off on some mission.
Cap apparently had the support crew send out a blanket inquiry about the Tetrarchs. And Doctor Strange calls back on it!
He's never heard of the Tetrarchs! He's pretty sure that if they are as important as they claim, he should know about them and they're not in any of his tomes and nobody he consulted heard of them either.
Doctor Strange: "They may very well be simply extremely powerful entities with overblown egos!"
Oh, snap, Ngh may have been telling the truth about the Tetrarchs just being some jerks.
And he IS kinda stomping the Tetrarchs, even when multiple attack him at once.
The bystanders are very impressed, supposing Ngh stronger than the Avengers.
Then, Ngh announces that these random kids being impressed with him is why he's so strong. His power comes from evil and when the kids think he's cool, they're unwittingly worshiping evil, which makes him stronger and cooler so he gets even stronger.
Sure?
The Avengers are struggling, too, against all the monsters and menaces and demons and uglies. But they have to keep holding out until Sersi and Thor get back.
Quasar notes that they're all getting exhausted while Ngh's forces are just getting stronger.
He questions why the supposedly super powerful Tetrarchs do not simply banish the monsters to the dimension of exile, like they did the Avengers. Be cosmic jerks for a good reason.
The pyramid Tetrarch says the quiet part out loud and threatens to get an early jump on banishing Earth to the dimension of exile, before they even finish with Ngh.
Cap watching from Avengers Headquarters is like ah ha, so they WERE planning on double-crossing us.
Which he clearly suspected. Which is why he was having Dr Strange look into them. Good paranoia, Cap.
Meanwhile, Thor and Sersi's secret mission.
They went back to the Dimension of Exile. Which isn't a problem. Those two can come and go from the dimension, as long as the Tetrarchs aren't messing them up.
Even though Sersi hasn't been able to sense what they're looking for, she knows it has to be somewhere because the cosmic balance requires this vague thing they're talking around. She spots a "cyclopean megalith' and decides what they're looking for is inside.
And Thor is good at breaking things open.
Although he calls it a mountain and it is clearly not a mountain, based on how big Thor looks on top of it.
Inside the not-mountain, there is an old, robed woman and an angel. The old woman says that the 'so-called Tetrarchs' sealed them away TEN THOUSAND YEARS.
Wait. Ten thousand years? Is this Rita Repulsa?
Back at the fight, Ngh the Unspeakable is still going on and on about how evil is making him strong.
Rage charges at him (with Granny Staples' moral support) but gets easily slapped aside.
Ngh then addresses three bystanders, claiming that they are impressed with his power but also afraid and revulsed.
So, Ngh summons big sacks of money for each of them. He tells them that he can make all their dreams come true, as long as they forget about that boring morality thing.
Seduced by Ngh's big sacks, the three are corrupted into demons.
Which Ngh threatens to do to Granny Staples.
Also, dammit random bystanders! A Satan looking dude gives you a pile of money and tells you to embrace evil and you just do? I blame capitalism.
Rage is, y'know, mad, about Ngh threatening to turn his Granny Staples into a demon. But he also makes the claim that Ngh actually can't do that because Granny Staples doesn't have an ounce of evil in her and "that's why she doesn't have any friends!"
Wow, Rage. Why did you have to burn your granny like that?
AND THEN
Sersi and Thor and the old woman and the angel portal onto the scene.
Old Woman: "Ngh is lying to you, for that is his way. He holds no dominion over anything that is good. I do. I am Ahh and Ngh remembers me dimly although he would rather forget! Just as Ngh is the focal point for the channeling of pure evil, I am the counterpart, channeling pure good. We are the counterweights of a great balance-"
Ngh tries to interrupt to say that he's king boss of everything now and Ahh just calls him a silly thing, waves his hand, and reverts those three bystanders back to human.
Because, you know, they had good in them. So Ahh can just. Manifest it.
Sure.
Ahh: "These poor creatures have a good side as well as a bad side! Given a chance, they can shine with charity and compassion! They still have the need to reach out, to help that stranger... There are all the little kindnesses that are forgotten, the favors done with no thought of restitution... the promises kept, though the keeping of them was painful and costly. These are all the increments of my power, and it is no less than yours, Ngh!"
And then Ahh takes off her robe and reveals, actually, she is an attractive cosmic lady in a sparkly bodysuit.
Sure.
Ha, she's the big good.
Anyway, she asks if Ngh recognizes her now that she's not all old and shriveled and he does not. He has no idea what she's on about.
So she explains that they were one being who decided to split up into good and evil halves, basically on a lark. Or as an experiment. What kind of experiment? Not forthcoming! But the experiment was a failure because some good and some evil remained in each one.
The good in Ngh was represented by the little fairy Xa. Who didn't seem THAT good. And the evil in cosmic lady was represented by the little angel dude. Who hasn't done anything so I can't really comment.
Ahh calls the the ten thousand years imprisoned an interesting enough experience to justify having done it but now they really have other stuff they need to be doing, together.
And so they fuse into some Spock in a skull cap looking dork.
Maybe it's just because I've been watching a lot of Dark Crystal but this feels very Dark Crystal. Except minus the puppets so much less cool.
This budget urSkek only regrets that he didn't foresee that the Tetrarchs would take advantage of his split power to imprison him.
So he blasts the Tetrarchs with his forehead thing and takes away their ability to travel between dimensions.
And then he mocks them as a stupid concept.
AhhNgh: "Entropy, indeed! How could the universes that are expanding be slipping towards chaos? Things that are flying away from each other at great speeds are acquiring order of a sort! At least in this reality!"
Sure?
Ngh's former demons (seemingly transformed back into whatever they were originally) say that's all well and good but a little high concept for them. Ngh made promises to them and they want to know if new guy will fulfill those promises since Ngh is part of him.
AhhNgh: "The good side of me feels compassion for your plight... but the rational side knows restitution would be impractical! Besides, I have much more important, high profile things to do, such as saving entire civilizations... and basking in the praise."
And then he fucks off.
Wow. He really is like an urSkek. Not sticking around to fix the damage his selves caused.
HE DOESN'T EVEN STAY TO HELP FINISH OFF THE TETRARCHS!
Black Widow: "I find it amusing that he claimed compassion for his good side, but his selfish abandonment of Ngh's crew was laid to rationality!" Vision: "What is so amusing? Is not all evil rationalized by logic?"
Um, no? A lot of evil is very emotions based.
It turns out that it's not hard for the Avengers to deal with the Tetrarchs, even though the real space god fucked off on them. The Tetrarchs are still cosmically powerful but since it is the end of the story, the Avengers can suddenly take them despite fights going poorly earlier.
Quasar just puts the Tetrarchs in a bubble, Thor opens up a portal to the Dimension of Exile, and then Quasar dunks them in their own prison dimension.
Easy as that.
The Avengers at this point have ALSO forgotten about Ngh's crew and drug dealer L.D. 50 is able to swoop in and recruit them.
Does anything come of this? Nnnnno not really.
If Marvel wiki is accurate, L.D. 50's only other appearances are in the Venom: Along Came a Spider mini-series, which is also by Larry Hama.
There's only two more issues in Larry Hama's run. Maybe he had big plans for L.D. 50 and this gang of stranded aliens and he just never got to it.
Granny Staples complains that the big, comic book fight left a mess on her yard. Rage promises that the Avengers will clean it up but then she starts yelling at him about his costume.
Granny Staples: "And another thing! How come you're all dressed up like a hoodlum? I certainly hope none of the church ladies saw you all done up like that!" Rage: "This is my costume, granny! I'm a super hero now! Uhh, can we talk about this some other time, or at least not at this volume?" Granny Staples: "Costume? It's not Halloween! Why are you wearing a mask? You got something to be ashamed of? I certainly hope not, you living under my roof and all! Only hoodlums wear masks, Elvin -" Rage: "Shh! Granny, please -- nobody's supposed to know who I really am! And can we not be doing this in front of the Avengers -- ?" Granny Staples: "Don't be shushing me, young man! Just because you got your size a bit soon doesn't give you call to be disrespectful -- stop rolling your eyes and pay attention! You can have plenty of time to be with your new friends when I get finished talking to you!"
God bless this old lady. She has no idea what's going on.
(For the record, the Avengers do start cleaning up the mess. Mighty courteous.)
A nearby news crew is close enough to see that an old lady is yelling at Newest Avenger Rage and the cameraman suggests that there could be a story there. But the anchorwoman tells him pssh nah, I'm going to ask Thor how dimensional travel works.
That's what the audiences want!
It's Doom. Audiences is Doom.
As far as this arc... eesh.
Started interesting but it just feels like squandered opportunity in the end.
Setting up a reserve team and then creating a perfect opportunity for that team to have to take action? And then NOT having them do anything? Bold choice.
And, oof, this last issue. Hama is on the book for two more issues but you could tell me that the writer changed between this issue and the last and I'd believe you. It just feels like too many gears shifted gears between months.
Like the Tetrarchs turning out to be frauds and ending up only as an afterthought to a grand, entirely unhinted at cosmic drama?
Did Hama get tired of his own plot or was there editorial interference? I'd love to know.
There are fun bits in this arc but as a whole... meh.
Follow @essential-avengers. It's the only way. Like and reblog, also.
Into, Across and Beyond! Cast: The Funkin' Crew
Origin: Friday Night Funkin' (most of the group); VS Sky (basis for ErrorSky)
"Benjamin Miku here! Let's get into action!" - Benjamin Miku/Boyfriend
"Aww, yeah! That's how you do it!" - Grace Dearest/Girlfriend
"I already lost one iteration of my best friends, and I'm not going to let another meet that same fate." - Pico N. Grounds
"It makes no sense for me to be held by the shackles of my past. I have friends who need me in the present AND the future!" - ErrorSky
The gang from Philadelphia; an aspiring music artist, a daughter to a demon family, a ginger-haired bounty hunter, and a fangirl of the formermost. Each of them have had their major points in history, and here in IAB! is no different. However, these aren't entirely the same Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Pico and Sky fans have grown to appreciate over the years. This story focuses on an entirely new group.
The important point that kickstarted their new story was the events of Mario's Madness, which led to the deaths of Boyfriend and Girlfriend at the hands of Ultra M, and Pico being stuck wandering in the haunted cartridge until he came across some strange being that reset the ENTIRE FNF universe and created a new iteration; Dimension FNF-NEW-2023.
Right away, there are some changes; the counterparts of Boyfriend and Girlfriend are vastly different, being dubbed "Benjamin" and "Grace" respectively, and it's through this that gives Pico a new connection to them. He just wanted them to be together in this timeline, too, and cared very much about their wellbeing. Granted, Benjamin did date Pico for a bit during high school, though they broke up for Ben's safety after the school shooting.
Speaking of that attack, Pico had remembered meeting his counterpart from Dimension DS-2022, and took a hint from him; he went straight for Cassandra to ensure lives could be saved from the shooting, and thanks to that, Pico had less of an interest in professional work than he once did. As it happened, he was the only one whose memories remained intact after the big reset.
In this universe, quite a bit had changed. Benjamin and Grace were both instead high-school students, and though Benjamin lacked the very high levels of bravery his original self did, he's still done his best to tackle the challenges laid before him. He's also more careful around asking people to sing with him, and holds off if that person isn't in the mood for it.
Benjamin and Grace's families were also bigger in this new universe. Taking a page from MizanPloz's Genderswaps mod and other mods, their families include parents (fresh ones in Ben's case), siblings (including their younger "genderswap" counterparts, Kaity and Chris) and cousins. And the two even made new friends out of those they had singing matches with, which Pico really enjoyed seeing.
As for ErrorSky, she ended up coming into the new universe as an accidental anomaly, and found herself admiring Benjamin like most iterations of Sky would admire their Boyfriends. Predictably, it backfired in her face, but she came out of it not wanting to intrude on Benjamin's love life. Unfortunately, she became a prime target for the monster known as Toxinfect, but with help from one of the other victims of his wrath, she overcame the monster and guaranteed her escape, even reconciling with Benjamin and Grace afterwards.
During that same time, the Corruption struck Philly, courtesy of the Lemon Demon, though it lasted two weeks in total, and unfortunately for the Monster, it grew in sentience and soon betrayed him. Thankfully, Benjamin, Grace, Pico and their companions were all able to fight off the virus and get rid of it, alongside killing the Harvester. And better still, they got on Daniel Dearest's good side permanently thanks to this. If Agent Blueballs' foothold on canon events were to apply here from Funkinverse, then the Corruption is their shared canon event, though Benjamin wanted time out of the public spotlight afterwards.
After both these events, ErrorSky became besties with Benjamin and Grace, preferring to remain at a friend level to make up for her prior advances, though has been blushy in Grace's presence as well as Benjamin's. It's sometime after that the blasted cartridge incident came back, this time in the form of a disc with Mario AND Sonic horrors within. This time, they avoided death, freed SHM from the confines (who was Victim #1, or "Madeline") and overpowered Xenophanes, who was the REAL mastermind behind it. Along with this, the Corruption tried to claim Benjamin again in his doubts, but has since been on Venom-esque terms with him after being neutralised.
Once that was all said and done, the four discovered the path into the Errorverse via an interdimensional portal. Thanks to going through it, they ended out aging down into teens, like Nitro and his siblings before them. Thanks to this, they ended up becoming more involved in the quests of those in this dimension; helping free the Literature Club girls from their game for good, Benjamin giving a kid dubbed "AE M." companionship (and leading to them becoming boyfriends), fighting off evil corporate businessmen and sentient viruses, and further expanding Benjamin's music scene overall.
Speaking of that, the influence of Funkin' culture has happened to be part of the multiverse's music scene, even if it's not to everyone's tastes. And it just so happens that it seems to be popular in Dimension MP-2021, especially with OMT!Tails. It's to the point where, when CR!Sonic told him to keep calm about the wall-clinging in One More Hero, he did some of the beatboxing from "Fresh" to keep him steady. Of his composed songs, of course, Benjamin isn't too proud about "Really Happy" from Sunday Night, considering its nature and the awful screen-shake effect it caused.
This later leads into More than One Universe, the point where Benjamin and his crew are brought into the events via the Errorverse link. Through this, they each lent a hand in apprehending the villains that had leaked through into the OMT universe. During this time, however, Benjamin almost fell victim to demonic possession from the Puhoi curse, with three outcomes; him escaping solo with Soul BF, him losing and branching into becoming Bently, and, in the case of the scenario post-EV-rewrite, Nitro interfering before it can hold for long.
After the end of it, Benjamin was happy to sign an autograph for OMT!Tails, since the kid was a pretty big fanboy of him, and EV!Sonic saw quite the potential in him, since Benjamin was an angel in this shared universe. The following day was when Pico finally came clean to Benjamin about the timeline reset, which he took pretty well, all-in-all. And that Christmas, he met Soft Benjamin (a younger incarnation) for the first time, he, the Mikus and Dearests gave the Fairests their karma and prompt arrest, and he decided to adopt Softie into his family, which the kid was really happy about. It's through Softie that he got to meet his other counterparts from other universes (like Neo, B3, Minus, B-Sides, D-Sides and Arrow Funk).
Amongst other things, he has also been taking good care of Evan from FNF: Childhood Memories, and helps babysit him each Sunday in his free time, the time they spend together reigniting some of Benjamin's childhood memories. Since Evan and Holly obviously aren't suited for combat, it's why neither actually appear in the base stories, as I've planned to instead feature them in more casual slice-of-life storylines to tie in to the mod while work on it continues.
Sometime after this was when The X struck during one of Salty's crusades, and the attack left Sunday, roommate of Carol and good friend of Ben and Grace, with protanopia, meaning they can't see red anymore. When Cam (Agent Blueballs) tried to recruit Benjamin into the Funkin' Society using Kenji as association, this backfired massively, and due to Benjamin's well-respected position amongst the Boyfriends, this quickly earned Cam even MORE ire amongst counterparts across the multiverse), including from the original Soft Pico.
After The X was successfully detained by the Quill Society, which took more work than you'd think despite him being weaker by the events of IAB!, EV!Sonic approached Benjamin for a potential place in the Quill Society, which he accepted, though was confused about.
As EV!Sonic explained later, Benjamin (alongside BluBuni) was offered this place due to a mix of him being an angel, him sporting the ECHO ability to keep pace with hostile villains, and indirectly hailing from a SEGA property thanks to his ties with Hatsune Miku. These were enough to give Benjamin his position in the group, and he was able to increase his connections through it. ErrorSky also joined in, having built her own community with other Skys. That said, she dislikes Miko a LOT, due to her being an internet jerk.
As for Pico, his quest to ensure a better future for his friends paid off, and he could get his closure for the original BF and GF in that their legacy would live on through his newer friends and their families.
To count any canon events each of the crew have gone through (relative to Blueballs' way of thinking in the Funkin' Society):
Benjamin:
He had dropped out of high school, though not immediately, only after the Corruption was gone to ensure it couldn't hurt any of his classmates.
Benjamin has three companions supporting him together; Grace, Pico and ErrorSky. The latter two are not committed relationships, which isn't a requirement.
The bad song Benjamin composed was "Really Happy", and he's actively not proud of it.
Benjamin has fought off the Corruption when it struck his world, and has never encountered or been claimed by any denizens of the Darkness.
Grace:
Like Benjamin, she only dropped out of high school in the aftermath of the Corruption.
Grace has Benjamin as her main supporting companion.
She encountered the Corruption much like her friends, though was never claimed by the Darkness.
Pico:
Pico dropped out of high school in the aftermath of the shooting incident, like his original self did, and moved to mercenary work. However, in the new timeline, it's only undercover work to get Daniel Dearest back on a good side.
Pico's supporting companions, as usual, are Nene and Darnell, though he's yet to make things click romantically with either.
Pico, as per his canon event, took a stand against the Corruption first-hand and aided in eradicating it after being freed. He also had to fight off one Darkness infectee and came out no worse for wear.
He lost the original Boyfriend and Girlfriend in his canon event.
ErrorSky:
As per tradition for Sky variants, ErrorSky had crushed on Benjamin in the past, though saw what she was doing was wrong.
Her parents died through her canon event, courtesy of Toxinfect.
Benjamin's top-selling songs:
A cover of Vocaloid song "Idol", deviating from his usual beep-boop singing act.
"Serendipity" from Vs. Radi and Lofie (ft. Lofie)
"The Division - Destruction of Boyfriend" (cover of his own sister's song; ft. Softie)
And as for a little extra trivia related to the bunch:
Benjamin usually plays cards with and goes out for dinner at McWave's with Melodii and Parappa every Friday. He babysits Evan on Sundays.
ErrorSky actively dislikes Miko and has gone to great lengths to vandalise her twisted social media acts for the sakes of others. She's also actively at odds with Faker Sky, those two being the ONLY Skies she hates.
Pico had been twice-shy around Nene, having once kissed her cheek to cheer her up, but feeling extremely embarrassed about it afterwards.
Benjamin has enacted the famous pointing meme with B-Sides Boyfriend and Blue BF before.
Hello! Me again! I've come to announce that I have organized your Yuu into my timeline and would like to check with you for approval of the new backstory. Here goes:
There are a total of three universes that are relevant to the Yuusonas:
Pokemon: Yurie Hinoki! A pokemon trainer with a special book that allows her to summon any pokemon she's ever seen/caught (up to 6 at a time).
JJBA: Yuuya Malasartes! A nipo-japanese son of a Brazilian crime lord. Struck by the stand arrow, Coisinha do Pai takes the form of a small humming bird capable of growing flowers from blood by injecting nectar into it.
Faith: This is where your Yuu is from.
In short, this Earth is actually a bunch of earths from different timelines coexisting as one Earth. Each timeline corresponds to a different religion, making all gods and mythologies real. Because of the complex nature of the timelines, a diety is only able to interfere when they have an anchor aka a follower. A god's strength is dictated by 3 things: what they're the god of, how long have they been worshiped, and how many followers they currently have. One special type of follower is a Necessary Evil: priests exempt from the sin of murder in order to kill demons + evil humans involved with said demons. NEs are granted boons from their respective deities and are given more leeway so they can find happiness to cope with the trauma (ex: catholic priests can marry, Buddhists aren't entirely banned from earthly pleasures, etc).
Backstory time: Yuu is a half-kitsune. His father was a Necessary Evil working as a shinto priest for the god Inari. He suffered an injury that disabled him, making him retire and takeover the family kabuki business. Yuu's mother is a kitsune who worked in the same temple. At 15, Yuu is transported to TWST and manages to hide his otherworldliness. As a half kitsune, he does have magic and manages to adapt the spells he's taught to match his own magic. It took a year, but through several intense dances and offerings, Yuu finally contacts Inari. Inari asks a favor from the Christian God and opens a portal so that Yuu can get home and back as he pleases (note: Inari's domain doesn't include space & dimensions, so they turn to the Christian God since he actually does have control over that and there's Christians in Japan). Choosing to stick around, Yuu does several offerings and dances to keep the portal open while still exploring NRC as a "background character".
Sidenote: for Yuu's kitsune magic, please look to Kusuriuri from Mononoke as a reference.
Cut to year 3: In comes Yurie, Yuuya, and Grim. Noticing these youngsters are like him, Yuu takes pity and kinda guides them during the prologue. Yuu contacts a hindu NE (another oc of mine) to see if they can have Vishnu or Brahma use their cosmic powers to track down their homes. They do but find that whenever Yuuya and Yurie try to leave permanently, they both instantly get teleported back to TWST. However, so long as they come back, they can freely travel between dimensions (good for grocery shopping and making sure the parents don't loose their minds). So they enchant a mirror to serve as an interdimensional gateway. By this point Yuu is attached and by the beginning of Book 1 he's already transferred from Octavinelle to Ramshackle as the new official dorm head.
Bonus scenario: Azul having a "love at first sight" moment with Yuu when he comes across one of their dance offerings to Inari.
Hmmm, I think the best way to give my feedback is to do a bullet list so lemme organize my thoughts.
I am ok with the inclusion of Inari and shintoist traditions! Yuu's family worships both Inari and Ame No Uzume (goddess of dance and entertainment amongst others). The Fujisaki clan also has traces of kitsune blood from a Kitsune ancestor that married into the family centuries ago (hence the relation to Inari) so to keep that canon compliant, I'd switch Yuu's parent's species.
It is important to note that Yuu has an inherited bad luck curse due to another century-long transgression against the shichi fukujin. The juzu bracelet he uses constantly in his left hand is a ward to protect him.
Due to this Juzu bracelet being a gift from a buddhist monk and exorcist that helped the family, I'd rather be more comfortable with the inclussion of a buddhist god instead of the christian god. (Though true christianism exists un japan, its far less common than either buddhism and shintoism)
Now, onto the most important thing: Ataru (Yuu's dad) would never ever willingly take over the family's Kabuki troupe. He ran away from home when he was 17 due to the borderline abusive training he had to go through in order to be elegible to become the clan head. The only reason why Yuu is in contact with his dad's side of the family is because Ataru got laid off before Yuu was born and Hana couldn't find any work (Japan has very misoginistic views) so they couldn't support another child without help of Yuu's wealthy grandpa, who is the current family head. Due to this, Ataru is no longer in line to be head. It is Yuu's grandpa (Nagisa) > Yuu's uncle (Kamui)> Yuu > Yuu's cousin (Nagihiko). The only reason why Yuu is even considered in the first place was because Yuu's uncle was unmarried at the time and Ataru is the first-born, so in all technicality Yuu was the sole heir at that point. Yuu's family feud and generational trauma is a core part of his character and needs to be included in every iteration.
I think you capture what I imagine Yuu's magic would be :^) Yuu in my canon is magicless, but the earth he comes feom does have magic and a magic system I created myself based on the 6 elements :^) if given the hypothetical of what magic would Yuu have if he was a witch (name for magic user in my canon) He would be an air aligned witch and his artifact would be a fan, which fit with what I've seen to be Kuzuriuri's abilities
I think that's all for now! Though I would also like to point out as an extra fun fact that if Yuu ever got sorted into a dorm, he'd be sorted into Pomefiore, but later transfer into Octavinelle :^)
So I had this idea awhile ago but I didn't post it. I've only read a few comics (RHATO s1 & s2 (right up until we learn Roy is dead from bruce) And some of Jason's early Redhood days. And a nice amount of Damian stuff (until the titans Slade Wally thing.) So most of my knowledge is from Tumblr & AO3.
So I've heard about rebirth "everything happened" and I had my own idea (I don't think this is what actually happened in comics but I could be wrong)
So instead of "every happened" it's more like everything happened but some of it's gone but people think everything they don't remember was wiped. Until it starts comming back.
Maybe Wally was in a different dimension like cannon. Came back and everything was gone. Everything was different. The timeline was all messed up. Things that happened 20 years ago to him happened 10 years to everyone else if they happened at all.
He mourns his kids and wife. Maybe takes some time off. Everyone else is learning about their past that are gone (maybe they get magic memories like cannon maybe they just learn from Wally)
Maybe Wally goes on a mission to fix things. And starts finding out that he can't. That the things that are gone are gone. The only thing that was wiped that can come back is memories. He fights that. Keeps trying. New or old Big Bads.
Others are mourning too. Either the things they don't remember or the things they do but can't get back. They can't believe they forgot.
Then things. People start showing up. Heroes that "weren't in this timeline" young or old with a new backstory. Or maybe just a slight (major) change of other heroes not part of their story in this timeline.
They realize that while they knew the timeline was messed up. Things starting and ending at the wrong times. It was still happening. The old timeline unraveling.
Now my favorite part. It could be a standalone or part of a long story.
Lian in Gotham. ((I think I saw something before. A comic from preNew52 universe that was written right before 52 or at the time it was beginning. Roy fought a Demon in Gotham and brought Lian back))
So right as that's happening the "Cosmic Event" timey wimey F'd up all over the place.
Lian is in Gotham with little to no memories. 5 years old. With nobody she knows in sight.
((Many possibilities right there. I'd like a lot of fanfics with same-to-similar circumstances. Maybe not the entire buildup. Just the amount of ideas that could come from Lian revived but everything went wrong.
(Jason could find her. She could find Jason. She could find any Bat. She could head to New York or Star City. She could stay in Gotham until everyone gets their memories back)))
((I wish I had the patience to read more comics. There's just so many. If I ever get on another reading comics kick I think I'll try Roy right after he gets Lian. Or Titans/Young Justice 1980s onward.))
So back to it.
Once Lian is found in this timeline (she'd be 5-9 debating or fanfic timeline. Start of new52 she's 5. Wally comes back in Titans 7or8.) Wally searches for Linda.
Personally I prefer Irey&Jai still being young. Linda was suddenly a single mom to two babies. She doesn't remember who the father is. She just knows she loves her babies. They were wanted.
But now they are 3 or 4 years old. They have powers. Whenever they started showing their powers she wondered it she had a one night stand with the Flash. How do you even bring that up. Wasn't there a few Speedster villains. (Wasn't there a time in comics where a lot of people suddenly got super speed)
Just everything unraveling. How do they even find out what when where how why.
Finally finished the Diablo 4 story.
Did I like how it ended? No. Did I enjoyed the game? Yes. Is Neyrelle really a stupid and daft cunt? Extraordinarily.
D4 is more engaging than D3 when it comes to the story. The amount of hot demons have been reduced from 1 to 0, there is a lot of dangerous religious propaganda, our Mama Lilith has been done dirty, they killed a lot of my favourite characters (or maimed ones I liked before the game ended) and left me with a lot of things to do.
Now, I don't know if it's in their fantasy line but I REALLY think they should let us choose how we affiliate. I know that it would make the story telling slightly more awkward but I disagree with how the story unfolded in the Hell. It was stupid, it was wishy-washed and it was all edge no cut. Why on earth do we trust a teenage girl that let a drowned wench bite her? She cannot look over her arm without tripping and we let her make world defining decision? Stupid.
And again, I was confused before and now I'm even more confused. I'm not diablo lore enthusiast or connoisseur, but it has been said that neither demons or angels really truly die. If they did there would be no eternal conflict. So I'm just flabbergasted at the statement that Parents of Sanctuary are dead. I don't like Inarius. Even one bit. But I also feel for him in his last moments. Alas maybe I just like my apostasia-religion porn? But the point is... What was Lilith's motive? I don't think she says even up until the end...? Yeah she wanted to assimilate Mephisto but for what purpose? We were lead to believe that she's not being honest but I don't think it's possible to lie on 3 different dimensions at the same time, one of these has to be true? I believe her when she says she wanted to protect Sanctuary and I do think it was not entirely true either. But we will never know.
And again, the Neyrelle playing the big part in the story is giving me MASSIVE Lea flashbacks. I'm sorry but the Diablo universe has enough stupid bitches characters, I cannot take it anymore. This ending is so stupid, it's so dumb, I refuse to acknowledge it as a cannon. Wanna know how the story ended in my cannon? Neyrelle trips and falls off into the lava and dies a horrible and painful death. Stone is trapping the one and only Mama Lilith, we do not trust the doggy entirely, we get out of hell and we live our lives happy ever after live laugh love the end.
I really liked her but that ending ruined everything for her. Fuck Neyrelle. We do not like Neyrelle on this blog. It is anti Neyrelle space. Neyrelle apologists are not welcomed. If Neyrelle has only one enemy I'm that enemy, if she has no enemies I'm no longer alive and the whole shtick bla bla bla. Stupid ass bitch.
Warning : Long Post ! ! ! - Extremely Long ! ! ! ! ! ! !
( And. This is a True Story )
I look back to a lot of old my old reports they made out of the old older much much fucking older stuff I written down I can see why people didn't like it so much I don't even think schizo is the problem at this point we'll just Written badly.
at the same time I did the best I could with what I had left of brain matter so despite it was fucked up I was fucked up and I was doing my absolute best quite literally doing my best and I was also severely fucked up ESP and a theory wise a lot of extreme paranormal problems so despite the writing was fucked up that was actually a miracle I was able to get it done that well.
🙂
let me try it again and explain 2045 as the Gray's told me. as they showed all of us 🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️ hybrids.
I'm humanoid with the soul of an insectoid
What you call a fairy.
🔥🔥🔥
you see in age of 2045 is the Gray's Said, it was wrong with give me a credit I'm saying what they said.
they showed me a world extremely fucking hot and that's why they built at the us such Grandiose amounts of heat to give us a chance to survival because in this new world it will be unbelievably fucking hot and chaotic because of the heat would you call climate change I called the age of Fire.
you see the Earth is going to be extremely fucking hot you see the world is going to be unbelievably hot 500 degrees Fahrenheit and climbing. hurricane to be an extremely common occurrence hurricanes will be daily hurricanes we've got probably over 100 hurricanes per week, if you're lucky you'll get around 3 to 7 n some areas of America the Raging whipping wild winds will be all over the fucking place and if you're lucky you'll just get small Gale's ! should be extinct before then this is supposed to be our world long after Humanity died in the war with the aliens the Gray's, but you call an alien invasion, they call taking back their home ! LITERALLY ! ! !
you see, the one thing they told us is that the world to be an extremely violent wild and crazy plays but none of humans cuz they'll all be dead the human race be completely extinct this will be a world of fairies a world of bugs a world of hybrid that look human it will no longer be a human world but a humanoid world. 🧚🏻♂️
Humanoid's that are actually from a different universe and a different world entirely from a different Creator not that of God. a white father a white Divine godfather of light and fire what you call the abrahamic god did not create us and nor did any of his fucking angels. if I was going to say if God didn't do, Y'all are going to say his Fallen Angels did it ( Satan - another name you would use Lucifer )
His Fallen Angels DID NOT do it in God did not do it it was a completely different deity to who the dark goddess who is almost as equal to God she's a being made in Before Time in a Khaos ( And, Chaos ) and Darkness but you would call an Anti Goddess Or An Anti God.
( Pure, Dark Goddess ) - ( Purely, Negative )
she's almost right up there equal to God except for she is a female and she literally needed the sperm of a male God in order to create her Universe quite literally God had to give her his his sperm in order for her to be able to burp the universe our universe but then God said I went nothing to do with your Universe cuz it will be Wicked dark black and demonic so I have no idea why God gave his sperm to her so she could create all this and do all this ? Maybe God did this just so much love kindness and mercy
that he'll even let the most demonic Nightmare Hellspawn exists but only with the restriction of being in its own Universe divided from his own creation ? he'll let the darkest most wild evil chaotic things exist away from his judgment even the light can't even judge you in the darkness of another dimension but the restriction is those things cannot cross over to his creation and his universe.
@ God 👍🏻 Ayo, it is extremely good now why the fuck are we not over there, Again !
( it's a Paradox )
[ Other Names, The White Father Go by are : God, Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh, Demiurge, Ptah, The Creator, The Great Architect Of The Universe, The Father, The Holy Father, The All Father ! ]
God =
&
After, I remembered this part of this of the sacred information on how we all came into being in our divine black mother which I call it the white father and the black father this is not to do with Humanity. if not that white and black. one deity made a pure positive energy light and fire the other day he made a pure femininity darkness and Chaos one of the light order masculinity the other dark feminine chaos one is in the world of a Divine patriarch where God's rule over the universe and it's all about masculinity the other one is where a goddess rules the entire universe and it's a divine matriarch and Goddess is Rule All of Existence and men are cut down and weak our universe is a feminist wet dream.
♀️
but in this Universe I'm in Right now males are dominant in the universe and the Divine patriarch women are smaller weaker and they're like a second class citizen throughout the Universe but in our universe is the opposite women are big strong hyper aggressive bloodthirsty they're extremely cannibalistic they are dominant men cannot dominate a woman men are smaller weaker women are always bigger than men taller than men stronger than men fasting more aggressive than men's asking more energy than men Super hyper Supreme to men and they have a hierarchy they're extremely hierarchical and the women are always dominating each other and show enough who's more than the other one is they actually butcher and Slaughter each other and there are no laws in most the worlds and all the worlds as an all the worlds in this universe are patriarch through all rules by men in this universe the one you're reading this right now that's why they're of gods and God this is always put on the side that's why the Creator is a God and there is no goddess that's why Universe Creator is the great architect of the universe ! and the great architect of the universe is profoundly male !
♂️
that's why I call it the male universe and the female universe.
it's what Divine Gender rules the universe Male Divinity and Female Divinity, Light and Dark, yin and yang.
But, I got a little off topic, Sorry !
&
My Point was saying any of this shit was I wanted to let you know, that I think the Gray's, May soon become close to winning their war or at least being able to start the war cuz if they're able to make landfall with the war if the UFOs are able to make actual physical attacks like they preach for multiple fucking months throughout the entire time the incubate us on the fucking ship that's how they make us hybrid they take the babies out of the women they harvest them they hold on to them for multiple months and they put some kind of glob of goo in there that grows that confuse the women to think it's a baby but even the ultrasonics the ultrasounds don't they look like a deformed baby or something close to resembles a baby but it's not a baby it just is glob of fucking goo.
not the point.
if they win this war and we get the planet we fairies aka insectoids that means all human beings I believe might be going to hell because God said he's going to send all humans to hell and the Gray's, in 2045 accidentally fucked up when they when they were trying to read out my future and read out everything that brief me and brief all of us hybrids what the brief our soul they can one of them completely fucked up and said none of them are there 2045 that they're all magically suddenly gone they don't exist anywhere kind of sound like the rapture to me.
sounds like Divine judgment because the Earth will no longer be haunted by human Souls if this prophecy comes true. IF !
but what I think happens why they suddenly all disappear in 2045 and all the dead humans on the Earth when the world is on fire glowing fire everywhere cuz that this fire lights everything up everything is just fire it's so fucking hot fires seen the spontaneously spawn everywhere in existence and this is the Earth this is not a hell realm this is not some parallel universe this is fucking planet Earth that just happened that got Extremely fucking hot ! ( and in many parts of the world it'll never stop getting hotter the heat will climb infinitely ) has the winds will grow and grow and grow !
you see, God told me a long time ago that all the human beings are going to hell and he's going to send all the humans to hell and I know I'm not a human and I don't fear hell God said I'll not send you to hell I'll have to protect you from hell because he knows that I'm not a human being cuz the creatures that are going to send me to send people to hell are going to be confused with human and humanoid they're going to have a they're going to get confused so God doesn't want to send the non-human things that belong to a different Creator to hell he wants to send us back over and I think in theory
IN THEORY ! ! !
I think in theory that the Earth is going to flow over to the other universe
our universe
again this is just a Fucking, Theory I could be completely wrong about this.
but in our universe I believe that's probably was going to happen that's why the Earth gets also extremely dark because it could go back to our universe because God no longer you need the world in the world has ended Humanity ended the world ended and what you have are the remains of an Ever dead ancient civilization and ancient world where all the souls have left the planet.
therefore, I think that this shit actually goes down the way it's supposed to because things can probably change on a fly.
( This could also be biblical prophecy ? )
but if things go down accordingly is there supposed to I believe or I really think that God's going to send the Earth towards our our universe and that me and my people will be back at home but it will probably only be once you man you go extinct then all the ways of karma the Divine Light all Divine judgment all gods and all things of morality will will be restricted from us in other words the Divine will not be allowed to judge upon bad morality and dishonorable ways but they'll not be allowed to judge the darkness for being dark.
the gods and the goddesses of this universe will not be allowed to judge upon the evil for being evil and they will not be allowed to smite the evil or fight the evil or get in the way of the evil and they'll have to let the evil be evil and chaotic and Wild !
just as we were in our universe where God did not judge us God did not we didn't have a heaven and hell system in our fucking universe.
There was no Heaven or Hell !
&
we were ruled over by the goddess is every World in our universe was ruled by the the arch goddess but the true goddess of the universe was black demonic pure chaotic made it a primordial Darkness made out of the Sacred Divine chaos that created all things she was made of pure And Absolute Negativity this Goddess has looked very much like a shadow woman only much much bigger like a Giant Shadow woman and I mean a gigantic Shadow woman who did like to devour your soul she loved to eat men eat women too but she love to eat everyone break them down at the darkness !
and then a lot of times she would eventually after she broke you down she'd rebirth youth with her spirit and you be much darker she was a goddess of absolute and pure Darkness they wish he consisted of Nothing But The Sacred force of darkness and negativity she was chaos she was Darkness she was negativity and it was Ultra Female !
it's by all the hyper aggressive brutal bloodthirsty dominant females and all the many alien worlds in our universe you can feel the goddess of Soul everywhere in the universe felts feminate everywhere Ultra feminate everything was feminine !
then the Paradox happened if we ended up in the patriarch universe and the male Universe the universe would over the gods where the goddesses are set aside and they are beneath the Gods in this universe the goddesses are beneath men they obey men love men cherish man worship man love ♂️ Masculinity ♂️ they want to be dominated by a man need to support it by a man catered You by a man the woman have no strength ( like our universe ) no power lots of attitude but no ability to measure up to a man ( don't get offended, I'm being scientific here ) unlike in our universe where was the opposite !
in this universe in this universe this is why I call it the male universe !
and when we come from is the female Universe the one that rules this is known as father God but the one that ruled our universe with known as the mother but then again that was a very confusing term cuz no one knew what you meant the mother was at the universe the mother of the planet the mother of this is very fucking confusing so mother was a confusing fucking word.
but as were God created his Universe our Goddess is quite literally gave birth in a great big bang flash he actually put her female genitals I got to be careful for my words on Tumblr
she put her female genitals into the great big black void and then she let the sperm of God do its work and next thing you know she had a really big explosion on her female genitals
out into the great big Void and she fell in immense amount of pleasure in an orgasm but then she was really tired she gave birth to her fucking Universe he gave birth to everything she gave birth to our spirit she gave birth to all life and energy she gave birth to all the darkness she gave birth to everything and God divided himself from our universe cuz he wanted absolutely fucking positively pun intended
nothing to do with our universe !
God Completely divided his Spirit from it but he wanted it to go on !
which I find to be the weirdest fucking thing ! ?
despite the universe with the opposite of everything God was God wanted life to be there God wanted them to have their own everything and God wanted them to live their lives happily despite they were the most demonic hellspawn in existence God wanted no heaven and health in them God did not want his Spirit upon God did not want Karma God did not want anything to interfere with the chaos and the Darkness and the mayhem and the femininity of that Universe God would be on cool God was the most awesome mother fucker God didn't interfere God didn't fuck up God let us have our lives God was the greatest fucking thing
"Was" . . .
🙏🏻 - I just want to go home !
anyway I don't mean to say any bad about God I just want to tell you the truth whole point of this long-ass thing you read the whole point is with me to tell you that it's a very high chance the Gray's could start this war conquer the planet and shit go down but I'm not going to end this until I give you one more fucking link that makes me wonder why maybe the Grays are all sent to hell cuz they committed so many atrocities and fucked up things so bad and did so many fucked up things they broke so many Divine laws that God has to give him that his Divine middle finger cuz they fucking deserve it !
Link :
God said he's going to send all the humans to hell and I found this EXTREMELY fucking awkward !
God did say I'm sending the humans to hell !
and they're made of human DNA !
🤨 - God is going to give them the finger !
God @ -> 👽 <- 🖕🏻 : God !
they were the ones that abducted us from death and forced us into life which is necromancy it's okay and our universe but in this universe which we come from a different Universe from a different Divinity which is crossing divinities we obeyed our Divinity we obeyed the god of the universe if you call the great architect of the universe and we did not cross over with our wills we do not cooperate with someone to cross over we fought and we didn't want to be here but with this extreme Supreme technology of the Grays they use their technology to violate and break every law of every deity of all that is Divinity and violate every part of the spirit of God. they use their technology to commit so many fucking Divine atrocities in so many spiritual High crimes and spiritual felonies that can Define !
that God is just going to completely lose his shit on them !
Good !
and he should !
and all I got to tell God if he's reading this thing right now even though he's all knowing he was going to write this Eventually, Word from word.
Get the fuck away from my spirit I mean not a nice way.
i 🧚🏻♂️ just want to go home.
Go back to your kingdom of God, in heaven. leave my soul alone, leave our souls alone 🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️
we just want to fuck off and go back to our natural Dimension be ourselves. you fuck off, we'll fuck off will end it there.
we need to go back to our natural dark ways. when you go back to worshiping the femininity !
I mean on a nice way go fuck yourself.
👍🏻 <- That's not Sarcasm.
we have had unbelievably broken extremely fucked up tormented life with more agony and anguish and I can Define besides the life of Fate worse than hell.
despite hell is eternal, all I want to do is go home 🌌
Be With My People and let's fuck off 🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️
oooh! wednesday prompt time!! I would love to read your take one a timetravel fic! You know, like either one or both of malec traveling back in time to fix something or Alec traveling back to some point in Magnus' past. I don't really care either which way, just want to read what you'd make of this ^_^ 🖤
I love timetravel fics! Hope you enjoy!
—
“You can’t expect me to leave you.” Alec begs and he feels like he’s trying to catch falling stars, for all the success he’s having.
“Magnus you have to be selfish. Please be selfish. For my sake.”
“Oh darling, my Alexander. I’m not sure you’ll forgive me for this. But I can’t bear to lose you. Find me, I’ll always keep you safe.”
And then time is warping around him and Alec is staggering out of a spinning vortex and into another battlefield.
Alec stabs through two shadowhunters and a demon and then glowers at the sky as he dumps their bodies on the ground.
Alec doesn’t think he’s ever been so wounded or betrayed before.
He’s disconnected, the part of him that is always tied to Magnus feels cut and fraying, as though it’s adrift.
And then it clicks into place. That part of Alec that only exists for Magnus and Alec can’t handle how far they suddenly are from each other.
“You’re not—“ Alec stops, head suddenly foggy and confused. “Magnus what happened?” He finds himself slurring and then he’s swaying, angling his body towards Magnus’.
Alec only knows that his entire body relaxes at the touch of familiar magic. It’s over eager when it realizes how welcoming Alec is, how he is a willing vessel for Magnus' powers.
And Magnus is looking at him in shock. Like Alec has surprised him again and Alec wonders if it’s his new jacket.
“You changed your hair.” Alec manages to gasp put, he’s on the ground now and Magnus is holding him together
“Magnus, why is your hair different?” Alec manages to ask because it feels important and a hand is cupping his jaw, the wrong side of too-tight.
It’s both unfamiliar and comforting because Alec knows this is Magnus.
“Magnus,” he asks, looking up and smiling softly when the glamor drops and he’s blessed with gold.
Magnus is looking at him in something close to awe and Alec doesn’t understand. Magnus knows he is the world to Alec so why…
And Alec, Alec feels the universe shatter around him.
“Send me back to him, please.” Alec begs, reaching out and offering a bloody, smeared palm. “Please, take itC all of it. Send me back to him. Even if its ash, send me back.”
And Magnus stares down at the tangle of fate lines cupped in his palm.
Magnus doesn’t know what went wrong, just that another version of himself risked and destroyed everything, to keep this single shadowhunter alive.
A man who looks at Magnus like he causes the sun to rise and set and Magnus can see why another version of him chose how he did.
And Magnus knows that another version of himself sent their heart across dimensions, intending for another, just as selfish version of himself to find and keep their young lover.
“So you’d leave? And make me exist alone, wondering when I’d eventually meet you? If I ever would?” Magnus asks because he’s going to do as another version of himself asked. He’s going to keep his shadowhunter close and protected and Magnus is not going to let the same fate happen twice.
“You don’t know me.” His boy pleads, looking up with desperation and Magnus shakes his head and holds out a hand, magic pooling in his palm.
“Take my hand and look me in the eye and you try to lie to me, Alexander. What do I need to know, beyond that you’re mine?”
Magnus is treated to a shocked, hyperventilating gasp and then he’s pulling his shadowhunter close and eyeing the portal that Alexander fell through and was used to summon Magnus.
Hands cling to him like they were made to hold onto him and Magnus gives a soft croon and opens a new portal.
“I’ll keep you safe.” Magnus promises and he feels cracked open and like he’s finally full. “This world won’t touch us, either of us.”
What role do Heaven and Hell play in your universe?
We know that Heaven is a place where noble pious souls live forever after death, and Hell is punishment for sinners, but how does it work in your universe? Does souls also go to hell and heaven? Do demons torture them? Or out there a different afterworld? Or none?
[Okay, this is a bit confusing, and dumb- But I can't take my own fictional universes seriously a lot of the time so, feel free to laugh with me.]
More confusing lore (courtesy of moi-même)
At their core, Heaven and Hell are just two other physical dimensions, annexed to Earth specifically. Hell sits somewhere beneath the planet itself, and Heaven somewhere above- Hence the Earth often being called "surface" or "ground" by denizens of both.
Heaven, or Eden, has lost its use entirely. The dimension was previously a gigantic hub where siadar resided, with their angels. It was a very organized society which I've talked about at length in some other posts (in the masterlist).
Hell, or Perdition, was generated after Eden, as a result of a creator held in high regard becoming rogue. The story is muddled by time, but they were the first Ruler of Hell, who made the first "Icons" by modifying the angels that followed him. These Icons then betrayed him and severed Perdition into several rings not physically connected to each other but still part of the same dimension agglomeration.
These locations have nothing to do with the dead.
Demons were initially created to spite and torture, and they'll naturally gravitate towards those who exhibit traits of their "sin". In times past (and sometimes in the present), they could be seen dragging people who particularly interested them into Hell. They do take souls, those don't reach the afterlife at all, they're extinguished. Likewise, in different times, angels were sometimes requested to bring certain people into Eden. Religious affirmations, although skewed, have some basis on real happenings.
The idea that those who die either go to Heaven or Hell is entirely made up by religions. And as has been established previously, religions are inaccurate cope-driven narratives made by humans and monsters when siadar abandoned the planet. They've suffered several adjustments along time, split into other subreligions and whatnot- The whole nine yards, it's a mess. Religions have lost a lot of their power in this universe.
The "afterlife", ever elusive thing that it is, holds souls but does not keep them. Not even siadar are in control of this concept, therefore it's mysterious to everyone.
Some individuals are denied rest entirely for differing reasons, becoming undead like Patches and Nebul, until they're truly ready to die.
Can you tell us any of your current thoughts of Cassandra and Ellie being in MoM? Or still just not sure?
I’ve actually have quite a few ideas buzzing around.
First things first, Cassandra and Ellie have known Strange for probably six months by the events of MoM
Strange and Ellie are solidly in the mentor/mentee relationship
Cassandra and Strange are also definitely friends, but that underlining tension is starting to build, even if neither of them are saying anything
Major spoilers for Multiverse of Madness below
Cassandra shows up about the same time as Wong for the fight against the octopus
Take a beat to establish her fighting style, focusing more of laying traps and using her powers to avoid attacks
Strange expresses her confusion on how she’s there, she tells him she was in the Sanctum when Wong got the message and that Ellie is safe
Not sure if America should know who Cassandra is; might be better if she doesn’t to drive home the fact later that 616 Strange is properly moving on by having Cassandra and Ellie in his life
Also beat to establish that while Cassandra knew about Christine’s wedding, Strange didn’t tell her he was going
Need a moment where they talk and Cassandra says she would have gone with him if he asked as emotional support
Cassandra also takes the time to examine the runes; she explains that whoever cast it is tied to something very dark and very powerful and she hasn’t seen anything like it working the magical community in New York
She suggests that a demon might give a witch the means to control such a creature, but not many would trust a human with that kind of power of their own free will
Bottom line, whoever cast it is a nasty piece of work and well above her weight class
Strange goes to Wanda and Wanda presents her ultimatum
Strange brings the news back and that’s when Ellie volunteers to help
Cassandra and Strange both immediately say no, but Ellie tells them that as a last line of defense, she’s about the only one in the room powerful enough to take Wanda out
Wong agrees and further tells Strange that he should trust his own training
Strange and Cassandra reluctantly agree, so long as Ellie sticks close to America the entire time; with any luck it won’t come to that
Ellie and America also need some time to bond, Ellie telling her that she gets the whole bit being able to control one’s powers and having people across dimensions try to hunt you down for it
America might know Ellie? Could be she’s seen her more evil form in different universes where Cassandra died
Either way Wanda attacks
Cassandra wasn’t lying when she said she was out matched, but she used her powers before to anticipate Wanda’s movements allowing for some proper traps, including setting up runes preventing Wanda from using her powers
While she down, Cassandra tries to appeal to Wanda as a mother; if she were in Wanda’s shoes she might end up doing the exact same thing, but she knows for a fact Ellie would never forgive her
Wanda end up breaking out and the seal along with it, knocking Cassandra out in the process
Ellie is then sucked into the other dimension along with Strange and America
Stuff on Cassandra’s end is still a little hazy other than she and Wong are both taken with Wanda to the mountain before being thrown off the side
Strange now has two teenage girls he has to look after and he’s having a very bad time
Ellie gets drugged by Mordo, possibly revealing her demon form to combat it
Ellie is then locked up in a separate part of the facility, Mordo bringing her using some different type of magic that leaves her in her demon form
America is visibly afraid, but Strange only shows his outrage and concern, demanding they release her saying she’s just a kid
In the meeting with the Illuminati Mordo reveals that their Strange had killed Ellie in order to prevent her from destroying their universe
The Illuminati also have already decided they cannot let Ellie go, not wanting to risk their universe or others
Wanda shows up and in the chaos Ellie is able to break herself out, giving America and Christine some needed cover
Ellie is still new to her powers so while it’s close, Wanda is able to knock her back, it’s then Xavier shows up
As they escape, they run into Strange; he’s able to calm her down allowing her to come back into her human form
They all get away from Wanda and get to the book
Two options then: Ellie gets brought back with America or she gets blasted away along with Strange and Christine
If she goes back with Wanda, need to think of a reason why Wanda would do so (absorb her power as well?)
If she goes with Strange she stays behind with Christine when Strange faces off against himself
Ellie offers to use the Darkholm instead of Strange seeing as she’s already part demon it won’t take the same toll
Strange counters that they don’t know what toll it would take and besides, she doesn’t have a body to dream walk into, he does
He does trust her and Christine to protect his body while he’s under though
Queue some Ellie demon action while taking out the souls of the damned
If she’s back with Wanda though, perfect moment for Cassandra to climb back up and tell Wanda to get the fuck away from her kid; not even going to use a spell. Just straight up hits Wanda across the face with her staff
Fight ensues, Wanda is defeated and Strange gets some closure with Christine
If Ellie is already with her mom then that’s the first sight Strange focuses on
If Ellie is with them, she stepped out for a moment while he and Christine talked
After Christine tells him to allow himself to love, that’s when Ellie walks in
Anyway, that’s all I got. Obviously this is really rough so if anybody has an comments or suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
