i always see people talking about the scene in Daredevil where Frank kills that pawnbroker for offering him cp, and that Frank was thinking about his daughter Lisa, because of him saying “she’s barely 12”, the same age Lisa was when she died, and that is very much true and definitely part of it, but also think about the fact that Frank’s best friend of many many years, a person he was so close to, “the life or death kind of friend”, was a victim of csa at around the same age, and trusted Frank enough to tell him that. Think about how even before Frank became ‘the punisher’ and started killing regularly, he straight up offered to murder the person who’d done that to his friend.

So, of course, Frank was thinking about his daughter, and how much he hated the image of a girl her age experiencing that, he was probably also thinking about his best friend who did experience it.

@translesbianvampire NO LIKE EXACTLY ok like first of all ever since parker opened up my eyes to how much writes a movie is another meta ep abt the Whole Show it's all I can think abt but besides that I LOVE WHEN THE SHOW COMMENTS ON MAC'S BOSSINESS VS MANIPULATION because mac is not good at pulling strings behind the scenes at all imo, he's not even good with subtext in general that's a whole unknown world to him. in aluminum monster he tries to learn by following frank's way but (as chokes also reminds us...) he was still just. FOLLOWING WHAT HE SAID. not taking any initiative... he was the one being manipulated after all, and like. that's important to me because mac has muuuuch more pull in the gang by being bossy. like by simply taking the lead. and it's funny to me because it means dee and mac have both the biggest pull but in opposite ways. mac's gotta be explicit and give orders and take decisions while dee schemes behind the scenes and the key in that is that, at NO POINT is dennis in control in any of this 😭 he likes to paint himself as this master manipulator but inside the gang he's the one with the leastttt ability for it and also the most easily swayed especially when feelings are involved (which they would be if the person playing you is someone you have a relationship with, in the case of a family member or mac... or even just like a friend like charlie).

Chokes comments so much on this but I always think abt that whole "You don't think Dennis is gonna see right through this silly ruse?" / "Now, of course, Dennis will see through that ruse as well, but he'll be very impressed with how far I'm willing to go to prove my worth to him." because ONE, no he doesn't, at any point. he never does. and two, mac is terrible at ruses... I feel like gets romantic shows this because like, dennis is following his scheming sure, but mac's scheming doesn't lead to the desired result, it's a mess.

Charlie n frank often mirror mac n dennis respectively... charlie sees right through frank's ruse, and also his "scheming" is just. Telling someone to do something and then them doing it. You know, like bossiness. Like Mac!

idk where I'm going with this I'm just bewitched by their dynamics.

There's always been an implied pairing of mac, dennis and dee together. It's obvious mac and dee are the two people dennis loves, and he's caught in the middle of their pull, and when they work towards the same goal, that absolutely leads to dennis playing into their hands.

For that I bring as example what's maybe my FAVORITE moment of the mac dee and dennis dynamic as a trio, bathroom problem.

They were all ready to go, but Dennis doesn't wanna go if they both don't come. Because he loves them and it's not about the concert for him, it's about spending time with them because they understand (the concert, and him).

You know, that reminds me of something else actually.

How Dennis gets between them? Like... they don't get along... because of Dennis. Right? But, if they DID get along, they'd have the strongest pull on Dennis, I think...

So at first it was that dee got between them (because she wanted to be the lead), now I think it's dennis that's gonna be contended between them... and uhhhh... maybe the appeal in controlling dennis within the group comes from the fact that inherently mac and dee will follow as long as they (mac and dee) are not working together towards the same goal...

Dee's the writer and director... stepping into the leader position she naturally gravitates towards... she's casting the roles. She cast wrong in dee day, but this will change.

She always wanted the lead role before, which got in-between mac and dennis, but if she steps back (behind the scenes), she won't be their buffer anymore and then...

I rewatched aluminum monster vs fatty magoo and noticed how bad mac is at being controlling and manipulative (he follows exactly what frank says, doing things that he's still trying to apply to this day, like announcing dennis' announcement), how dennis can only ever see himself as filling the role perfectly, and how dee naturally stages a strike and everyone listens to her.

I also rewatched gets held hostage and noticed how it heavily features frank's will and how his gun saves the day, both elements that are coming back in tandem in ep2 of s16... and hostage is a very interesting ep in analyzing the group dynamics and how they interact with each or betray each other. It's also like... its talk of stockholm syndrome, because due to dee's monologue I feel like "why are you doing this to me?" will be a theme, in s16. Because it's like... well ok, no only is it also in gets whacked p2, but it implies that you fell in love with the other person because they did something to you...

look, I'm being rambly (as usual), but what I'm saying is that I feel like s16 will pull a lot from s3 specifically... I guess we will see more clearly when it airs, but I wanted to put it out there. It's not just THAT season tho there's like, season 9 too. and 14.

You watched the snowflakes fall with a calm smile on your face. You had always adored this time of year, especially when it snowed. It was just something about how the never ending buzzing of Hell’s Kitchen would just stop for a moment— just peace and quiet. It never failed to calm your nerves, whatever worries that were on your mind washing away with the snow hitting the ground.

You were sat on your boyfriend’s couch wrapped up in a blanket with a book in your hand, soaking in the tranquility that this type of weather brought you. Matt’s apartment was always one of your favorite places— it was always so quiet and the big, open windows granted you a sight to Hell’s Kitchen. Even with the bright build-board right outside, you still loved it. Most of all, you loved it because it was his. Everything in the apartment reminded you of Matt, thats why you spent as much time as possible here.

“Sweetheart?” Matt’s call broke you from your thoughts, and your heart swelled at his voice. You stood up immediately, walking over to where he was kicking off his shoes and jacket by the door.

“Hi, baby,” You smiled, your hands coming up to rest on his shoulders as his hands wrapped around your waist, drawing you closer.

“Hi,” He whispered as you took off his sunglasses. The second the lenses were off his eyes, the man brought his lips to yours.

You pulled back for air, a teasing look on your features. Matt may not have sight, but he could always tell when that look crossed your face. “Someone missed me, huh?” You cheekily teased.

He smiled brightly at you. “Of course I missed you,” His cold hands only traveled further up your back, and you knew the sneaky fucker could probably hear the goosebumps rising on your skin.

“Stop!” You giggled, trying to fight your way out of his arms, but you knew it was fruitless.

“Okay, okay,” He chuckled, relenting his cold hands from your warm skin. “‘m sorry, you’re just warm and it was fuckin’ freezing out there.”

You playfully rolled your eyes, your hands grabbing his own from your hips and wrapping them within your own in an attempt to warm them up. “I told you that this morning. Just because you’re the big, bad Daredevil doesn’t mean you don’t get cold, my love.” You joked, interlacing your fingers and leading him to your shared room.

He rolled his own eyes with a smile at your remark, you never failed to tease him for his vigilante ways— even when he came to you half dead and you had to patch him up, you still found a way to crack a joke to see his smile.

“Here,” You turned to him with a hoodie and sweatpants in your hands. “Get out of that suit so we can cuddle on the couch.” You left a kiss on his lips before turning on your heel and walking towards the kitchen.

Matt shook his head with a laugh, but did as he was told regardless. Once he was settled, he made his way towards where you were in the kitchen. You smiled softly when you felt his chest against your back and his arms slither around your waist. You leaned your head back onto his shoulder as he left small kisses along your neck.

“Hot chocolate, huh?” He murmured against your neck.

You rolled your eyes playfully at his use of his senses. “Yep, might help you warm up, Frozone.” You joked.

“I know you did not just compare me to that dude from Incredibles.” He scoffed, feigning offensiveness.

You giggled. “How do you even know that?”

“Honey, my ears still work.” He pinched your hip lightly. “When that movie came out all the kids at the orphanage loved it. Had to hear it at least three times a day,”

You grimaced at the thought. “That must’ve been torture, havin’ to constantly hear the plot of that movie.”

“It was.” He agreed.

“Don’t tell me you hate that movie, though.” You looked at him from over your shoulder, holding up a finger. “‘Cause that was my favorite Disney movie for a while..”

He started tickling you immediately, a loud squeal leaving your lips. “Oh, my girl has a basic taste in Disney movies?” He teased with a smile, talking slightly loud over your laughter. “Who would’ve thought?”

“Matthew!” You wheezed out, thrashing in his grip. He finally relented as you laid against him while you attempted to catch your breath. “Didn’t know you were so passionate about my taste..”

“Well, I gotta let you know if it’s a basic one.” He shrugged, a smirk on his lips.

“If it’s so basic, then how’d I pick you?” You bit back with raised brows.

A breathy chuckle escaped him, before he paused to lick his lips. “Fair play, honey.”

You smiled when you noticed what he was doing, one of your hands coming up to scratch his scalp. “It’s ready,” You softly said.

He pulled away from you to grab his mug. “Thank you, baby.” He left a kiss to the side of your head before wrapping an arm around your waist and leading you to the couch.

He placed both of your cups on the coffee table before lying down and dragging you into his chest, yet another yelp leaving your lips.

Your chin rested on his chest as you looked at him with questioning eyes.

“What?” He laughed. “I told you I missed you,”

You only smiled, leaning up slightly to bring your lips together. His hand immediately shot up to cup your jaw, the man also leaning up to deepen it. You’d never get tired of the way his lips chased yours, and how passionately he kissed you every time.

You pulled back for air, but not before leaving a couple small pecks to his lips.

I sit down frustrated at her statement slightly banging the plate against the table

“Jesus christ, please dont be like that tonight” Nika says playing with her food

“Youre right, Im sorry its just that I love you you know that I do and I wish to spend time with you but its hard to do that when your friend is dragging you off everywhere. It makes me feel ignored.”

Why am I apologizing shes the one with the attitude

“Well Im sorry you feel that way bebo im not trying to ignore you. I want to spend time with you too. But Nahiem needs me too. We’ve been friends forever you know that” Nika says staring at me with a look in her eyes. The same look she gives me whenever she just wants me to agree with her

“I need you too Nika its not fair youve guys have been hanging out too much. I mean imagine if I went to go hang out with one my guy friends every other day.”

“What the fuck are you trying to imply here” Nikas tone changes. Her syllables grow sharper and her accent comes out

She stares at me waiting for my reply as im silent for a moment

“Im not trying to imply anything. I just want you to understand how it looks from my perspective. Which now you clearly do. I dont think you would do that to me but I cant help but wonder sometimes. Youre always texting him and barely even texting me anymore.”

“Im not cheating on you if thats what youre trying to imply. I lost my appetite, im gonna head out.” She adds with quickness, standing up from her chair and grabbing her keys off the counter

“No you always do this. Whenever things dont go your way or I dont immediately agree with you you leave I want to talk more. I want you to understand me more.” I say chasing after her pulling her arm to make her look at me

“Well I try and you make it so difficult”

“You try? You’re kidding me. I barely see you anymore. I wake up and youre gone. I tell you I want to talk its always im busy or later im out with friends. Im trying it feels like im the only one trying anymore.”

“I try so hard you just dont see it.” She grabs my hand and squeezes it giving me a sorrowful face.

That isnt what she looks like when shes sad

“What dont I see Nika please explain to me” I ask knowing shes full of it. She just wants someone to come home to

Her silence makes me snap. I let go of her hand

“Im actually so tired of your bullshit. Im gonna be frank with you since you arent gonna comprehend it any other way. I love you Nika I want to work on our relationship but you have to want that too. At this point ive debated leaving and ive also debated staying in case the sweet girl I knew a year ago wanted to show up again. I think we need couples counsel-”

Im cut off by her grabbing the sides of my face and attempting to kiss me. I retract quickly and try to ask her why she did that but she cuts me off before Ieven start

“Why are you being so difficult right now.” She says giving me a look of disgust. As if a kiss or angry fuck was gonna fix this

“Fuck off Nika. You can leave. Im not the one being difficult. I really dont want to lose you but if youre gonna keep being such a dickhead to me you cant leave. Ive had enough. I try so hard to understand you and I want you to let me im but obviously that isnt gonna happen. I love you but its obvious its not reciprocal.”

“What?”

“You heard me. Leave. Get your self together then you can come back to me. Its gonna be hard to put whatever emotions you have or had for me into words but when you do and you can explain to me why you wanted to throw all this away for me for some guy who probably wants to hit and dip.” I say in the calmest voice possible holding back from yelling at her. If i yell im gonna cry and if I cry Nikas gonna hug me, then ill fold.

I cant give in this time

“Wait bebo im sorry okay I can see how much this hurts you. Lets talk this out I can stop talking to nahiem. I swear he doesnt mean anything to me. I love you let me prove it.” She says, her long and built arms trying to snake around me

“No Nika , I already tried to talk this out. Go back to your dorm, take a shower, and go to sleep. Then we can talk all you want. I need to be alone tonight” I say pushing myself off her as I walk away heading to my room

“Im sorry baby please don’t do this” She says still standing at the door

At least she respects my space

But she doesn’t respect me

“Go to bed Nika” I say before shutting my door

I hear a soft cry before the muffled sound of the door shutting and locking

I hope she does wanna talk in the morning

after lovely dates and nearly becoming official multiple times, everything had come crashing down onto you.

here; let me explain.

many people would say that Sirius deserved better than you, but you learned long ago to ignore the sting of people’s words on your skin.

Sirius seemed to make it all better though.

it was annual Hogwarts spring dance season, and you usually would refuse to go.

and you weren’t crazy about the idea of a bunch of sweaty, hormonal teenagers dancing for hours on end.

but maybe with Sirius it wouldn’t be bad.

you’d even went dress shopping with Dorcas, something you would’ve never ever done.

so the night of the dance, everything went to hell.

“hey! Peter!.. have you seen Sirius?” you yelled over the loud music, the bass pounding in your eardrums.

“Pads? umm, yeah i think he’s with James!”

“Thanks.” you thanked half-assedly.

You scoured the Great Hall, messing nervously with your hair as you spotted him chatting with James.

“Pads, come on. You know i love you but you need to get a move on with this bet if you want the rewards.” James placed a strong hand on his friends smaller shoulder, not noticing you were there.

“I know, Prongs, I’ll probably just— ghost her after tonight or something, i guess.” again he felt bad lying to James, since he’d never ever dream of ghosting you ever.

but this time one of his lies caught up with him.

“nothing in it for you, huh?” His head perked up as he saw you standing infront of him, you took a disappointed glance at James and ran out of the ballroom. he followed close behind.

"would you give me a chance?" He tried to reason, following you up the staircases.

"You were paid to take me out! by the one person i truly hate. I knew this was a set up!" You yelled heart brokenly, stopping a few steps above him.

"Y/n, it wasn't like that, okay?"

"Really? what was it like? A down payment now and then a bonus for sleeping with me?"

"No, I didn't care about the money, okay? I cared... I cared about you."

You turned to face him with a countenance of both sadness and anger.

"You are so not who I thought you were." You muttered sadly.

In desperation, Sirius grabbed you and attempted to solve the issue by pressing his lips against yours, trying to recapture any spark.

but much to his chagrin, you jerked away from him. giving him a disgusted look as you fled back up the staircase towards your dorm room.

**context. i go to an all girls school and theres a lot of people so its not like everyone knows everyone, even in my year(theres approx. 174 in my year alone, and theres 6 year groups at my school cos high school is 7-12 where i live) but some people know me ig cos i know a few girl who are more notable, im in the top class and i recdntly started sitting with a group that the popular girls call furries.

(theyre a pretty big group and popular girls hate them cos one or two of them are trans - ftm, ftnb etc, no mtf cos my lovely/s catholic school wouldnt let trans girls in- several of them are gay, a few of them are emo, most of them are poc's and a few of them dont have english as their first language. overall they are seen as the "weird kids" in my year)

so this rumour apparently is going around that i like a girl in my class(i absolutely do but if you havent noticed my school is hella hoomophobic and i could very well get beat) which js isnt ideal and is gonna lead to a lot of issues, especially if a lot of people start believing it so if you guys have any advice pls lmk. and its not like i can js get a fake bf and show him off cos its a GIRLS SCHOOL. if i reconnect with a friend from primary school tho we could pretend to be dating and like make a post on social media. but then kids at his school would find out and hed either have to tell them its fake(which would eventually find its way back to my school, and when i say eventually i mean immediately) or he couldnt get a girlfriend so that probs wouldnt work.

I've been thinking.

Why is Nico, the most anti-social child ever, canonically closest with the most other characters.

Like, Hazel, his sister, he's kissed on the forehead and she's kissed him on the cheek. Like he doesn't give super touchy feely vibes, but still that happened so obviously they're really close.

Jason, first person to know he was gay (even if it was because that bitch cupid outed him), and stayed really good friends.

Percy, who took on the burden of the prophecy willingly to protect Nico. And Nico despite his confusion on his feelings still went out of his way to protect Percy multiple times.

Reyna, basically his big sister and like best friend.

Will, his fucking boyfriend who he went to Tartarus (for the 2nd time) with.

Coach Hedge, who obviously cared a lot about him throughout their journey to get the Athena Parthenos back.

Mr.D, who literally only likes Nico and his own kids and thats it.

I think Apollo really likes him (tho honestly I can't remember if thats actually canon or not).

And he's pretty close with Hades all things considered. I mean its canon that he hung out (or hangs out I can't remember) in his dads palace because he told Bob about how Percy was a hero, and Hades gave him Jules Albert, and tells him stuff all the time.

Like...he's always considered so gloomy and had a whole crisis in The Blood of Olympus about how he has no friends and doesn't belong at camp and how can Will not hate him. But like...no one else is as close with as many people as he is besides Percy (who we love but he's the main character so I'm not sure he counts for this).

Annabeth had Luke and Thalia, Percy (obviously), and Piper. And then Luke died and Thalia joined the hunters.
