I ask because I think it would be awesome ,If you were to agree with that and especially why your art should be not only on Tumblr but also on Instagram and Twitter, honestly if you ask me

the reason I don’t like reposts isn’t just thievery or the lack of credit (tho i do hate that), it’s that i don’t see the feedback!! cause I don’t just post my art for other people to see it, i post it for the sense of community — i post art online (instead of drawing it and keeping it to myself) so that people can come talk to me about it or go crazy in the tags! but if someone reposts my art, I don’t get those lovely interactions n sense of community (thats also why i stopped posting on insta and twitter bc people just like it and say nothing and it feels like throwing art into the void instead of at people)

The DoD Cast but my Version | Part 01

This is part one of the cast of DoD by my ver/AU designs of them.

From left to right we have: Clay, Tsunami, & Glory.

These designs are based on what I would I have done if I made the designs for the tribes (bcs I think the Canon designs for the tribes just look... kinda boring imo? Plz dont attack me plz, i just wanna be creative + THESE ARE MY VERSIONS! Not redesigns.)

Anyways some changes I made to them:

Clay now has a grey-ish brown tint which can become even greyer if in contact with water or a bright red color if he goes into contact with heat.

Clay now has droopy ears (bcs you don't want mud in yur ears do u?) & strange antennas to feel the air when going into mud. They're meant to Mimic cattails or rice plants but whatever I was lazy as hell.

Tsu now has a orange underbelly due to the fact that water can also be a orangey brown. (Alos bcs it felt weird to just have a sea dragon only be blue & green with out taking in the fact the same is pretty colorful)

Tsu has semi-squidish eyes. Don't ask why I gave her these i just thought it be neat to give her the eyes of a squid which are round. (Also gave her more head fins bcs well.. FISH!)

Didn't change much about Glory other than her coloration which is slightly based on the moring glory. I did however give her some more patterns & whiskers. (Bcs of what a frend told me)

I did infact swap the eye color of both Clay & Glory since well... Idk I just like it when the eye is a different color from the main body itself.

Thats really it for the changes of these designs.

Imma prob gonna draw Starflight & Sumby (Sunny) now & maybe make a Skywing fella afterwards named Sulfer who deff isn't gonna be the Skywing that was supposed to be in the prophecy but then his egg got smushed so in this AU of mine imma make it so the egg he was in was STOLEN from Hutvr (I can't spell his name help-) & was raised as a thief. (Bcs in the original Hutvr fracking dies also)

Yeah it's here!!!! My masterpiece!!! I'm so proud of this, I could actually shed a tear *snif*

So, a couple pointers:

1- Thank you for your patience, this actually took way longer than I expected and the fact that I got suddenly swamped with work did *not* help-but it's here now!! Hope you like it :D

2- If you remember the original piece I posted (the sketch) you'll notice quite the differences here and there. Can you spot them all?

3- One of the reasons this took so long is that the candies were supposed to be all generic when I suddenly remembered there were canonically halloween arcana candies I simply could *not* exclude and keep my self respect. Or the five years of my life I'll never get back from having to edit them in. *Sigh*

4-The costumes are based on the Arcana Halloween Charms. All you Lucio stans I hope you can understand that I simply couldn't in good conscience give kid Lucio the original outfit that his adult counterpart wore. His new outfit is based in his Devil-sona from Muriel's route, hope it suffices.

5- For a moment I was a little bummed about how accidentally overproduced Nadia's pumpkin was but honestly that's such a Nadia thing to happen that I can't help feeling that it fits perfectly.

6- This was very fun to make but I also kinda felt like my soul had been given in sacrifice to the digital art Gods. I'm freeeeeeeee

7-If anyone wants to repost remember to credit/tag me!!! Also if you want to edit your own Mc too just dm and i can give you the clear version with room for them.

Edit: Some stuff I forgot to mention:

8: there's a hidden devil's chocolate in Nadia's pumpkin as a reference to her reversed ending (give those players a reference. Players love 'em references. I know cause I'm a player)

9: Lucio's pumpkin is the only one that isn't super loyal to the original, that's bc at first I drew them all from scratch before learning how to properly reproduce them. I was planning on changing it too but I realized that I accidentally made it look like the ( ͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °) emoji which i personally find hilarious so I kept it.

10: Julian was suppossed to have a pumpkin like the rest but I thought "Julian is totally that drama queen club kid that is COMITTED to the aesthetic and would totally use a bag instead of a bucket since that's what a pirate would use...completely disregarding the fact that they tear easily and lose like half his candy on the way home" (don't worry, Portia made sure to point it out and they Hanzel and Gretel'd their way back to rescuing his pirate loot)

11-Asra got Muriel his costume since he didn't want to come wear one at first

12- Asra's bucket has licorice that both resemble's faust and his parent's snakes. He also got him bread from the baker (everyone else had 2 themed candies and I felt bad for Muriel who only got one)

13- Both Julian and Portia get Mazelinka taffies

14- Mc's bucket has all 6 themed candies that directly reference the love interests- yaaayyy references son

Little big rant ahead:

I joined the fandom with the start of ww era after the previous i was in turned into a literal dumpster on fire. And while it was clear in hindsight that the golden era of the tk fandom was around 2012-2014 (maybe it can be stretched to 2015), ww era wasn't bad either. Yeah the majority of the old guard/bfn was inactive or waning their presence a lot and basically disappeared the moment the ww tour ended we still had:

- gif/edit/moodboard makers

- art makers (not a lot but a few at least!!!)

- people posting pics from other social media. Either band photos or encounters with fans. Like people were ''fighting'' to be the first to repost the band insta pics!!

- people who weren't content creators but that at least they reblogged with funny tags. No, i didn't mind seeing the same pic of brandon 7 times during my catch up scrolling if 4 of them put some kind of tags to read in them (funny/horny/roasting him), that was the enrichment!!

Then the tour ended and fandom activity shrunk to 1/10 of what it used to be. Ressurrected briefly for their appearance at glasto 2019.

Lol thais liked a post about me complaining about not wanting to post 2 gifsets i made bc the fandom was too dead and i didn't want to waste them. It's dated 3 years ago!!!

Then 2020 happened. The pandemic, their social media silence on the blm protests (the bar was literally on the floor... we only wanted a social media post giving support!!!! How come the bootlickers were all up brandon's ass about how difficult it was to rewrite a whole verse of land of the free to play on tv in 2 weeks but posting a black pic on insta tagged blm was too hard??? HOW?), the horrific situation of the roadie hazing happened in the past that resurfaced... like i don't blame anyone who didn't want to engage with the band afterwards (bc they are some good reasons!! I will never forget how they let us down! And while the hazing wasn't perpetrated by the band members it was still such a horrible situation that shouldn't have happened!)

But this was a complete mass extinction here on tumblr. Of all the fandom communities this seems the only one that died like this.

We are currently left with

- 3,5 gif makers

- maybe 2 art makers if i include myself

- maybe 2 people posting pics including myself

No consistent edit/moodboards/meme makers no consistent reposting of official pics from their socials. The like/reblog ratio on posts is 3:1 on good days and close to 4:1 or 5:1 on bad days. I wake to notes (when i get any) that are 80-90% likes. Most of the rare reblogs don't have any kind of commentary at all.

I could easily run my queue for 7-10 days just with posts i could find on my dash, almost zero effort bc i was fed content on my dash. Nowadays i need to spend hours on blogs/my drafts/my bookmarks to put something together, only for likes. It gets tiring easily with a soul and energy sucking job to do to survive only to barely get any reward (reblogs with tags to read). This community will never recover on people who refuse to use the reblog button

It's even harder to compare this fandom to the mcr one, yeah it's a quite unique situation bc having such a thriving fandom despite the band being broken up most of tumblr's life is INSANE but you can't help getting angry/sad at why did they survive but not us? I can reblog so much fanart on my sideblog!! People posting pics!! Many archivial blogs!! The gifsets!! It just feels so unfair!

EOTE HEIGHT HEAD CANNONS FOR THE NINJA!!!!

Ok so a while ago I was doing my best to design Hanna and I eventually got sidetracked and made a whole ass height chart for the ninja. Note: the silhouettes I used for everyone except Hanna are traces and solid color fill ins of someone else's art. I forget who made it, but the only one that is mine is Hanna's.

To break it down:

Nya is Five feet Five inches, or 165.1 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. I didn't think Nya was super duper short but I didn't think she was super tall either so I made her just a bit above the average.

Jay is Five feet Eight inches, or 172.72 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. I made him shorter than the others bc I firmly believe he just is shorter. And yeah ik that 5'8" isn't short but more like the avg but I say he's short bc he's standing next to the others who are literal giants.

Hanna is Five feet Ten inches, or 177.8 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. She is a tall girl because of her Harmonizer (not human) genetics, plus her dad is also freakishly tall so girlie got the tall genes.

Kai is Five feet Eleven inches, or 180.34 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. I also feel like Kai is the type to say he's 6ft tall even if he's an inch shorter just because he wants to.

Lloyd is Six feet One inch, or 185.42 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. Yes ik the fandom says Lloyd is short bc of the tomorrows tea thing in Childs Play s2, but tbh, bro is literally part Oni and Dragon. Those sons of bitches are hella tall. So respectfully, fuck anyone who hates me for making him tall.

Zane is Six feet Two inches, or 187.96 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. He's a nindroid. That's all I have to say.

Cole is Six feet Four inches, or 193.04 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. I am with the fandoms head cannon of Cole being a big guy, it's clear from the show he's the oldest (technically) and that he has natural super strength. Plus in s8 when we see how Wu found Cole prior to the Pilot Episodes bro already had a six pack WITHOUT training. And then the beach type episode in s2 bro had an 8 pack and continued to have one through the entire show basically. So, my Cole is a buff as fuck giant of a dude who looks like he could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll.

Oh, and there's some extras for the side characters below. Slight spoiler warning.

PIXAL is Five feet Nine inches, or 175.26 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. I just feel like Borg made her tall but not too tall.

Wu is Six feet on the dot as an old man, or 182.88 centimeters. But in his prime, like the adult Wu we saw in s9 (Hunted) was Six feet Three inches, or 190.5 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. Idk why I chose this specifically, I just did.

Misako is Five feet Five inches, or 165.1 centimeters like Nya. I just like this head cannon. Idk why.

Garmadon is tricky:

Sensei Garmadon(Old Garm from s3 &s4 plus a little bit from s5) was Six feet Two inches or 187.96 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. He doesn't hunch as much as Wu does in my mind, so he's Zane's height.

Lord Garmadon from the Pilot Episodes was Six feet Four inches, or 193.04 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. He grew some in his transformation from human to partial Oni but not much.

Lord Garmadon from s1 and s2 was Six feet Seven inches, or 198.12 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. He grows so much because he gained two arms and shifted into mostly Oni. I say mostly Oni because it's my HC that Garm didn't have only the Oni genes being expressed until Harumi resurrected only that side of him.

Emperor Garmadon from s8 and afterwards was Seven feet Five inches, or 226.06 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. This is his Oni expression height, but not the height of his Oni form.

Oni Form Garmadon from both S10 and s16 is Nine feet Four inches, or 284.48 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. Ik Oni height, according to Mythology can range from 8 to 14 feet (243.84cm to 426.72cm) and I would've made Garm taller but you also have to remember his Oni genes are mixed with Dragon and Human. Oni Garm's horns are eight inches tall, making him Ten feet on the dot or 304.8 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units.

Oh and, Adult Human Garmadon was Six feet Five inches, or 195.58 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units.

That's all for Garmadon lmao.

I'm saying Harumi was Five feet Seven inches, or 170.18 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. I'm saying this is her height in s8, s9, and s16 bc she and Hanna get into a fight where Hanna quote, "Towered over the ex-girlfriend causing her to feel chills of intimidation crawl down her spine." Lol. Hanna's scary.

Lloyd's Oni Form is Nine feet Two inches, or 279.4 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. Again, would've made him taller but the show so obviously has it to where Lloyds otherworldly genes mostly expressed are his Dragon heritage, not his Oni side bc he stuffs it down. This height is only to his head, his horns add another foot making him Ten feet Two inches, or 309.88 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units.

Hanna's Harmonizer form is Seven feet Six inches, or 228.6 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units. I'll drop Harmonizer lore at some point that helps explain this. Her antlers/horns give her another five inches making her Seven feet Eleven inches, or 241.3 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units.

ANNNDDDF FOR THE EXTRA SIDE CHARACTERS:

Vinny from NGTV news is Five feet Ten Inches, or 177.8 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units.

Gayle from NGTV news is Five feet Four inches, or 162.56 centimeters for those who don't use freedom units.

idk dude I'm NT too and something I've learned is that sometimes you don't have to understand something to respect it. so you don't get why commercial art is ok to repost even though it's been explained to you (and frankly you are making bad faith arguments, imo), but it's still been said over and over so clearly it's something people feel is important. I think you ought to consider why instead of acting like a martyr when no one has told you to kys.

(I don't necessarily think the arguments made abt sharing some types of art were all that eloquent but I don't really think you'll listen so I'm not going to try to clarify)

sorry some people were rude to you but you came out the gate very rude and entitled in the original message when they were being polite. being called buddy is neutral, it's not some sort of hatecrime. maybe you had a shitty day or something and were in a bad mood, and this only made that worse, but the way you lashed out was inappropriate. being NT is not an excuse. we are not stupid. we can learn when we fuck up and how to react appropriately despite how ugly our initial reactions to criticism can be. just cause your brain tells you "everyone hates you cause you fucked up" does not make that true. I've learned this the hard way and you probably will too.

This is exactly what I'm talking about with being talked down to and gaslighting. I didn't fuck up. What I did wasn't art theft. I did a lot of googling about what is and isn't considered stealing art over the past day. I was talked to as if being sat down in time out, picked apart by the public and ridiculed over something that many people don't find egregious at all. My wife is an artist and encouraged me to share the art in the first place. I myself am a sex worker, I've had my work reposted before, sometimes with credit and sometimes without. This isn't to say this particular artist's wishes shouldn't be respected, I took down the post per the artist's request. It's just to say that the way I was treated like I was being taught a lesson over something for which there is no official guidebook or any clear consensus over was very mob-like. I was defensive in my original DMs because I was accused of theft. I don't think what I did was theft because there were credits. Then I was accused of "not trying hard enough to contact the artist". The artist's Tumblr is not connected to their twitter, and they don't even have the same handle. So even if I knew to contact them, to act like it would have been easy to find their Tumblr is simply disingenuous. The person who informed me about this artist's preferences likely just recognized the artist from here already.

No, I'm not arguing in bad faith. You and others in notes are insistent that I just need to listen to and accept what people are accusing me of without question. Don't I get to state my case? The way I was treated was inhuman. That's why I feel as though everyone hated me. I did not "fuck up" and you won't make me believe I fucked up. I am not an idiot. I am not going to just accept being scolded and belittled over something that frankly isn't even a real problem (posting art with credits). The whole distinction over being paid vs not being paid and the accusation that my credits weren't "proper" remain vague. These are not satisfactory explanations to me. No one has tried to clarify to me why it is considered etiquette to do something that so many artists dont even care about. One artist has a message about not sharing their art that I didn't see before sharing it and now I'm an art thief for crediting them? You can see why I am defensive? You can see why this doesn't register as a "fuck up" to me?

This whole thing could have been avoided if I had been linked to the artist's post in the opening message instead of being accused of stealing - which I must emphasize - I DID NOT STEAL. I poured over discussions about art reposting over the past day and have come to the conclusion that I was falsely accused and the intent was to smear me from the start. The way you see the original DM as reasonable honestly sickens me. They were only after some Internet clout and they got it. If you talk like this to your friends and family I feel sorry for them.

You need to step down and reflect on your priorities. Stop siding with manipulators. Stop policing small personal blogs who just want to be left alone. Stop lying about norms/etiquette/courtesies that are far from unanimously agreed upon. You will be remembered as a hateful bully if you continue on acting sanctimoniously and talking down to people instead of engaging with them honestly and thoughtfully, with compassion and a willingness to listen.

Chapter 1

Old blog got reported and I really wanted my icon and background, so here's a repost of the first draft! I plan to edit bc I was out of my head trying to write flying by the seat of my pants, but for now, this is a bit more put together at least!

Warnings: food, meal skipping mention, g/t. Additionally, while not shown in this chapter, this story will probably have non-sexual vore down the line.

“Shit!” Devon ripped his hand away from his unfinished project, attempted to shake the remnants of hot glue from his finger tip.  The deep tan skin of his brow wrinkled in a wince, and he set the glue gun on a scrap of cardboard.

“Try to be nice to mice, and this is what it gets me,” He huffed, glowering at the minor burn he sustained.  Something has been eating holes in his cereal boxes and pillow cases, and as a sophomore in college, he had to pinch every penny he could.  Sure, for now it was barely a contamination concern, but he couldn't afford to call in sick to his job or buy new bed clothes if he let the infestation grow.

That being said, he was a biology major with a minor in keeping sane (read: art).  Hence the contraption he had burned himself creating: a humane mousetrap.  It consisted of a bucket, a ladder, a dowel rod, and some ingenuity.  A large hole was cut in the middle of the bucket lid and a hot glue hinge attached the perimeter of the lid to the loose piece.  Food is put in the middle, mouse goes for the food, falls into the bucket, problem solved.  In theory, at least.  He honestly should have looked up some sort of tutorial rather than building it off the dome.  But Devon was nothing if not determined, even to his detriment.

“Whatever, it should be fine.” He put a bit of pressure on one side of the seesaw-like part of the lid and sighed in relief when it quickly gave way.  He contemplated adding a sort of hide and using extra materials to secure one side, but after checking his watch, bulked.  He knew rodents weren't brainless, but he didn't want to delay the set up of the trap for much longer.  He'd already lost his appetite for his honey-nut cheerios after finding a hole in the box, he'd have to start skipping breakfast if he didn't avert the contamination of his precious corn flakes, too.

He stood on creaky legs, sighed.  He had class in the morning, and he hadn't gotten enough sleep last night.  He shuffled into the bathroom, mindlessly going through his nighttime routine until he threw himself under the dark red sheets of his bed.  Rolling onto his side, he took deep, steady breaths, let the anxieties of the day flow out with each exhale, until one final thought left his weary mind.  Tomorrow, I'm catching that dang rat.

Sunlight squeezed through a small crack in the mortar between brown-beige bricks and right into the eyes of a man sleeping in a matchbox full of cloth.  He snorted awake, rubbing his eyes and staring blearily at his surroundings.  Small ornaments, earrings, stamps, and dulled glass adorned the “walls” of his “room,” which was a section of inner wall he'd hollowed most of the insulation out of.  Yawning, the man pushed himself up out of the box, shielding his brown eyes with a pale hand.  He scooted to the edge, threw his legs over, and stood, a patterned rug shielding his feet from the cool concrete.  He grabbed a comb made from straw and ran it gingerly through his short black side part, only glancing in the mirror piece mounted next to his bed.  

“Beck,” He started at the shout, “you're gonna be late to the meet up and miss out on your trades!”

The man, Beck, let his shoulders sag. “Coming, Tallulah.”

He shuffled over to a drawer made of some sturdy fabric and picked out a fast outfit: a burgundy robe.  A bit informal, but he was up later than usual.  Plus, it's not like he would have to impress anyone.  Beck had been living in the community for two whole years at this point.  He could rock casual for one meeting.  He slid on some sandals made mostly of cardboard, grabbing his burlap bag from the floor.  Thank God he’d already packed it, otherwise he’d have to make the trip alone.  As it was, he pushed open the door, the back of a remote’s battery case, to Tallulah.

“You’re lucky I hate you the least.”

“I feel it.”

She was a stout woman – well, more so than Beck – with long silver hair that framed the delicate features of her face.  If one were so rude as to guess her age, they would be about a decade too low.  She aged like wine, as she often reminded those around her.  She wore a lengthy blue dress with flower print, perhaps literally from some drapes, with her own sandals with matching fabric going over top of the foot.  In her hands was a sort of bucket full of sweet smelling, small, white crystals.

“Sugar?” Beck seemed to look at it too long, as she flicked his forehead with a sigh. “Ow!”

“Don’t even think about it!”  She went off deeper into the building, exaggerated.

“Sheesh, you could have concussed me.” Beck rubbed his head with a smirk, latching his door shut before catching up.  The gray, tunneled halls were well trodden, even and flat like a road.  Because Beck was on the outskirts, it was less so until it intersected with another, more traveled path.

“Anything you’re especially looking for this week?” Beck asked, making room for some others passing them.

“You mean aside from ol’ Vernon’s face when everyone leaves his sweetener for mine?”  She adjusted her hold with a smug look. “I sure ain’t looking for what you drag in, Mr. Under the Fridge.”

“That was a year and a half ago!  How was I supposed to know why no one has ever brought ice to share?”  He fiddled with his bag strap. “Besides, it was still water!”

“Yeah, dirty water even the gardeners didn’t want to take!”  She stopped to cackle, careful to keep hold of the pot.  “I’ll tell you what, you may not be good for trades, but you are fun to watch!”

Beck rolled his eyes, still tugging the belt.

“Come on, you know I’m messing with you.”  She reached up and tousled his hair, perfectly restoring his bed head before he could duck away.

“Tally!”  He complained as he worked on mitigating the damage, but the dimples on his cheeks betrayed him. “I know, I just don’t remember the last time I really got congratulated beyond pity points.”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Becky, you’ve done plenty.”  She said, then pointed her chin down the path. “The market’s just ahead, and you brought stuff, right?”  He nodded, not meeting her eye. “Exactly.  Even if you hadn't, and even if you never did and never will, you are a part of this community, Becky, and that makes you worthy.”  She squeezed his shoulder.  Then she punched it. “Now get set up fast because I ain’t setting this anywhere but a prime stall, pretty boy!”  She proceeded to run with surprising agility, leaving Beck in her trail.

The man sputtered, shook his head. “God help me if I ever do understand her, it means I’ve lost it, too.”  She may be right about him, but she was also right that he should get a move on lest he have to set up on the floor outside.

He entered a much deeper path, leading to the market site.  It was in the very center of the building, and it led to an immediate, metal opening.  Early birds sometimes had to open this mesh doorway themselves, but at this time, it was held open to welcome all.  He stepped through it alongside a few others, and entered a large metallic chamber with grated side walls and a ceiling, unlike the solid steel of the entrance wall and the one Beck was facing.  Before that wall, though, were dozens of people like him, but also in all different shapes and sizes. Most stood behind stalls with miscellaneous scraps and crafts, some sat behind their set ups, others just gave from their own hands as they passed.  Tallulah was already at a dark wood table making faces at salt and pepper man with his own container of white shards, making Beck’s smile widen.

After a bit of searching, he discovered an unclaimed counter.  He quickly made his way over, swinging his pack off onto the rickety birch planks. From the corner of his eye he saw others closing in, doubtless with their own goods to trade.  He can’t leave them empty handed!  He rummaged through his things before giving up and upturning it and letting everything spill straight onto the table. An abundance of soft white cloth, and another bag, this one sealed plastic, tumbled out.  As the visitors strolled closer, Beck ripped open the opaque plastic, revealing its contents: several beige ‘O’ shapes, smelling distinctly of processed oats and honey.

“Come take a look at what I’ve brought,” Beck called to passers by, “There’s plenty more where this came from!”

I'm not sure how you could profit? I suppose you could make collages with images i have shared, as I have done, and properly credit the artists or brand etc of the edits within the collage...but even then I am against the selling of collage art like that since the artists within it don't ever properly get paid for their contributions. I think collages are fun to make and pretty to look at and share for free use but shouldnt be sold...but plenty of people do it on etsy and other art websites, heck people have made galleries with these types of collages. I dont think its right though. I post my collages for free as well and would never sell them. Other things people do with pngs of others works for profit that I find wrong is make knockoff physical stickers or products with the images on them and sell them. I have joked about taking my pngs and printing off your own sandylion stickers since people sell them on ebay for wayyyy too much but that suggestion is for your own personal use and not for selling or profiting. Selling them would once again be wrong in my opinion, but again, people do it, there are entire websites that do this.

That all being said, like I've said before, I can't stop anyone from using these edits however they want so you can do you but I dont condone profiting by selling others works which I will not do and have not done.

Which brings me to the next point of me "profiting", which tbh I dont deserve for editing and sharing images. I originally said I won't ever enable tips as I dont believe its right as its not my art, and I still somewhat believe this, also tumblrs tip system is shady... but I have broken my rule and linked my paypal before since I have become a sahm and also shared my child's baby registry. I removed paypal and never got a donation anyway but still I felt guilty even sharing it for voluntary tips bc of my personal reasoning before but I have returned my child's wishlist, because I would be using any donations for him anyway, and before he was born a couple people were so kind on his registry and he still loves his little fox toy and goodnight moon book gifted to him by kind people here and I realized if people want to continue to share their kindness with my family as I have shared images I like with them I will happily accept that and how is it different from me sharing his registry with friends and family for gifting? Is it bad I've used the reach this blog gave me to accept a present for my baby from kind people with similar interests? To put in perspective I have 11,600 followers and 3 have gifted me(all my sons baby registry before he was born) in 6 years. I'm not beg posting for donations or demanding payment for pngs bc again this blog is for fun and a scrapbook collection to share with others.

I realized plenty of other tumblr bloggers ask for tips and donations for posting others art, or just running a blog where they reblog other people, post memes they didn't make, tweets they didn't make, pinterest links, weheartit links, Spotify music, etc. You could easily profit that way, you could just reblog or repost my posts you like the most and enable tipping on your blog or ask for donations and profit. People on here run art "curation" blogs, scan artbooks, share others Flickr posts, share snippets from old magazines or newspapers, share eBay or etsy links to listings or crafts that aren't theirs, or make tv/movie/videogame/anime gifs and then have tip and donation buttons just for sharing others works, products or resharing things from the met art museum or fashion history websites etc etc. And there's even the good handful of meme blogs and viral animal video and image blogs who blatantly spam links to Chinese knockoff overpriced items/stores in between memes and animal posts who get a cut for selling and advertising these storefronts.

I realized why shouldn't I just have my sons registry available if anyone wants to voluntarily gift? Everyone else has no problem asking for more when they also have blogs dedicated to posting others works. Is this profiting? Maybe??? Thats all the potential profit I will allow from this blog though and I dont consider it profit as much as people just being nice? Maybe I'm wrong and hypocritical for that but I dont really think so when I have seen people ask for actual money and donations on tumblr simply for existing. I'm not here selling stolen art, I don't claim the original work is mine, and anyone who wants to contribute $1 to a copy of chicka chicka boom boom for my baby isn't being held at gunpoint or guilted or told they have to in exchange for transparent images.

this is gonna be long so i'll split it into two

part 1: on reposting

1- if you're not sure if it's the original artist, just check their other posts to see if the styles match if you're still not sure, don't post it

2- 'all credits to the artist' doesn't mean anything bc people don't know who that 'artist' is

3- mentioning pinterest also doesn't mean much, pinterest didn't draw these artworks and everything there is mostly reposts

4- these twitter artists can't contact you because a) they don't have tumblr (they might not even know what tumblr is) b) they don't know english

majority of artists don't like their art reposted, in fact some of them stop posting entirely/lock their accs/delete all their art because people keep reposting against their wishes

if you really can't find the original artist then it's better not to post it at all and to keep it in your group of friends or something, when you post it on tumblr it'll just keep getting spread around, continuing the problem

a lot of artists will say if they allow reposts or not in their bio or in a profcard link etc and if they don't say reposts are allowed/not allowed, then don't repost it

you can use google translate or deepL if there's a language barrier

unfortunately reposting without permission IS discrediting, i hope you understand, i don't want wonderful artists to stop drawing wonderful art like this it's disheartening if ppl keep using your intellectual property without your permission especially when you said it's not allowed

Thank you @aliriien so much for teaching me this. I understand that i made a mistake that can discourage and dishearten the artists who truly spend so much effort and time into creating such beautiful arts. (∩_∩)

I apologize for this and i hope this mistake harmed anyone's feelings as i too do not want the wonderful artists to stop posting or getting discouraged to post because of my inconsiderate actions.

Next time i want to post anything, I'll be sure to credit the artists (only if they allow reposts) or else I'll refrain from posting.

I've said this before (and people may think I'm using this as an excuse) but im new to using such social medias and as such am not aware of rules and norms. So I'd be grateful if others can point my mistakes if i make them and guide me so i don't discourage others and come across as rude or anything like that.

Started writing: I've been writing on and off since middle school, and have been posting works since that time on quotev <3 i actually still use quotev to this day and im so thankful that it was a safe space to write fiction, fanfiction and participate in random writing challenges :)

Started blogging: I starting blogging here around 5 years ago, using this acc to just bingeread fics and repost art! i didnt originally plan on writing on here until I read a few HQ fics and ichiruki fics from bleach on fanfiction.net that had me like..,,in awe, I wanted to replicate that awe and here I am.

Followers: i've been around 179/180 when I was more active around 4-3 years ago but have been on hiatus up until this month so now im at 113 LMAOODSBHDSBJ HELPPPPP followers did mean a bunch to me in the earlier years but now i'm just happy i enjoy my own work

Communication: ahahaa,,,about this,,,as of late I have been going nonverbal more often and just been a lot less social. The later is for no reason beyond not wanting to give anyone the illusion that I am very active here esp bc I havent been publishing work for such a long time. but now that I've mentioned it here and once I get my tags reorganized, I'll reblog a lot more...prepare to be sick of me.

Likes: I actually was surprised about how much more interest people had in headcannons than fics or blurbs but that aside I don't really have an opinion on likes but to those who do leave likes on my work, I appreciate it a bunch :)) likes used to help me define how much people enjoyed my writing style/the characters which is sooooo wrong and quite a damaging mindset to have. I don't share this sentiment nearly as much as I did in middle school thankfully but it does suck when I feel like i'm the only one that enjoyed smth i cooked

Requests: for a long time I got such little request, my inbox deadass had tumbleweeds skipping past everytime I opened it but then around the time I was beginning to feel burnt out here...i actually got a bunch...(i hate it here) a lot of the requests are so cute and sweet, I'll fulfil them in my own time and space :) but i appreciate them soooooo much i love silly billies in my requests

Writing: the hate love relationship I have with writing...i have quite a lot of ideas but putting them into works is....something else HELO doesn't help that I've got ADHD and keep getting ahead of myself when writing...but yeah I have been writing things as of late that Ive been enjoying and playing around with diff au concepts (which im quite excited for) that aside, one of the ultimate contributers to my hiatus was the change in environment and in myself a few years ago. Many of my friends happen to be ace and a lot of my other friends at that point in time had aversions to affection? strongly disliked verbal affection, physical affection, you could name it and they were not about it. It did actually effect my behavior in a sense where to this day I instinctively hold back on hugging hand holding, arm linking etc. and it feels so weird now bc some of my friends now are the opposite LMAO its very jarring, the sudden change and realizing that to make my writing flow better I would put myself in the situations and id do the same with dialogue which made writing for characters i didn't feel much for harder to digest, and constantly writing romance prompts also made things hard for me because it felt quite repetitive and made me lose touch with what writing was for me which was like the final straw for me at the time. Some things have changed since then, especially my life cirumstances and preferences. you guys can request as you like but I hope that there is understanding if i'm unable to fulfil the requests, some of many of my works that are romance may have other genres with it like thriller, mystery, fantasy or villainess concepts, and/or historical time period fics. and since my program is keeping me busy asl I wont be able to update as much as I hope but i'll likely be more active now that there are some things cleared up :))

Been trying for a few months now to compile free versions of books on HIV/AIDS and unfortunately haven't had much luck yet, but I'm not giving up. When I have a good amount I'll make a masterpost, but since its World AIDS Day, here is a pdf of "HIV/AIDS: A Very Short Introduction". It won't tell you everything, but it's a good place to start!

Mayers response to Dear John being that he "didn't deserve it" and it was "humiliating" always made me see red (haha) because. you don't get to treat anyone, especially not someone half your age, like that and then act like you're a victim when she's honest about how much it hurt! Her "paint" splattering on him- staining him with her art- when he was so "promising", he carries that stain on his reputation to this day.

And then that second line. He shouldn't be able to wash that stain out!!! She was a child and he took so much from her, right down to (as she says later in the song) her girlhood. He wanted to absolve himself of what happened in that relationship, but that's not a privilege he has earned, because he tore her to pieces, and she was only a child. It's been 13 years, she's now the age he was when they dated, and she's still feeling that pain. She's still grieving. She can't wash her hands of it, even though she's the innocent party. Why the fuck should he be able to?
