post therapy brain dump 09.15.20

every week my therapist and I go back and forth arguing about how he thinks I should be on ADHD medication and how I think it’s unnecessary and I think this all just kinda boils down to what kind of person I wanna be and what I prioritize in my life.. my psychiatrist thinks it’s depression and my therapist thinks its adhd and I think it’s a hormonal imbalance and I just would like answers to my problems but I think at the end of the day he might possibly be right in the sense that what I need right now and for my priorities RIGHT NOW, adhd medication might be it? I’m just flashing back to when my mom told me my pediatrician said she thought I had adhd and her response was to just *get a new pediatrician* which always fcks me up when I think about it but idk. after I talk to R about her experience with applying to residencies and shit maybe I will succumb and schedule an appointment with a brand new unbiased psychiatrist and tell them nothing besides the symptoms I’m facing and just be objective as shit about the whole thing and see what happens. until then the md labs have my name written on the door for them ok bye luv u xoxo
