tell us about Santos :3c...
My tav Santos!! He's a fighting x rogue class tiefling who's a bit worn out in life, but doesn't stop him from being the rock of the party. He's 143 years old and a seasoned weapons maker, tho it's been a few years since he's kept up with the craft. He dabbled a bit as a mercenary in his 90's, but ultimately ended up as a bartender in Baldur's Gate yearning to go back to guildwork. [Which is when he got abducted, after a shift]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Personality wise he's not the loudest nor quietest of the group (choosing to be the listener a bit more than be the talker). He can seem quite serious, but is relatively easy-going and is known to give some of his own snark back when need be. He's a realist with a good heart, but won't hesitate to lie himself (and party) out of situations and attempt questionable persuasive maneuvers to at least avoid some unnecessary bloodshed. (Tho sometimes he goes a little too far with the snappy remarks at enemies that leads to greater bloodshed)
Tumblr media
He has a well of unwavering patience for his party members in the emotional sense, but gets incredibly exasperated by their antics and rivalry (looks at Shadowheart & Lae'zel, Gale & Astarion). He doesn't know what he's gonna do after they defeat the Absolute, but for now he'll just try and make sure that everyone in his party makes it out of this in one piece.
Tumblr media
[Santos' tent, he collects enchanted weapons and borrows Lae'zel's grinder often]
Character Relationships:
He gets along very well with Jaheira since they have a very similar sense of humor, their friendly jabs turn into some very confusing flirting for the rest of the party. Likes to poke fun at Gale, who has a bit of a crush on him. Santos has some propensity for magic and spellcasting, but it's unrefined and he never bothered to do much with it, tho he does like to ask Gale to teach him a thing or two when they have the downtime and he has access to a wizard with knowledge that loves to talk. He rebuffed Astarion's advances quite quickly, especially since he realized why he was doing it, but they remained good friends regardless, which it seems Astarion really needed. He lets Astarion feed off of enemies since they're gonna kill them anyways, but offers himself in case if emergencies. He's really good friends with Wyll and Karlach and can be found sharing a drink often in their downtime, both of them having Santos barking with laughter. He's not much of a meddler, but he'll leave their hang outs to leave both of them alone in hopes it'll inspire something.
He and Lae'zel have an unspoken camaraderie as fighters and weapon masters, and she likes that he'll give her bullshit right back. He likes sparring with her bcs she has him eating shit and landing on his ass, but he learns a lot. He butts heads a bit with Shadowheart and Halsin, but they eventually remain on friendly terms and respect each other. Santos killed Minthara and has yet to meet Minsc.

Day one of @jdiknight's SWTOR-tober prompt list- for this challenge I'm actually challenging myself to do two additional things: A, to do more relaxed traditional drawing in my sketchbook- to have more fun drawing, to improve my confidence with traditional drawing, and to worry less about getting everything 'perfect'. So I'm (probably) not going to do any digital art for this prompt list. And B, actually posting about my characters' stories because my perfectionism keeps me from sharing their lore on my blog, 😅 I'm always looking for the 'right' way to present it which always ends up in me not posting anything instead. I want to change that and actually use my Tumblr blog like... a blog.
So along with drawings, I'm going to babble a bit about any eventual lore/story bits the drawings may be related to. Pretty long ramble under the cut:
The first prompt, 'Training', immediately made me think of my Jedi siblings, Akk'rai and Zilei, and the journey they have in their... well, training! And how their study of lightsaber fighting is heavily impacted by the dynamics between them. While the Jedi don't have traditional family structure, I feel like these two get as close as you can to an adoptive sibling relationship within the Order- from being extremely close friends in the same Jedi initiate Clan to learning alongside each other throughout their Padawan-hood- these two spend much of their formative years (and then some,) together.
Their masters (a former master and padawan duo themselves,) travel in a group after the Jedi are splintered due to the destruction of the Jedi temple in 0 BTC and stick together for a few years even after the temple on Tython has become operational. Akk'rai and Zilei spend a great deal of time sparring with each other rather than their individual masters due to Akk'rai's master being a little too far on older side to duel with the youths.
Their sparring is the first place where cracks, symptoms of a dysfunction in their dynamic, start to show. Before the attack on the Jedi temple, the two of them were only 'siblings'. There was no 'older' or 'younger', they were simply brother and sister in their own little way.
When the Empire strikes Coruscant, this dynamic is forcibly molded into something new. Akk'rai, the older of the two, took on the role of a protector, and Zilei, the role of the protected. There isn't much a fourteen year old child can do to shield a ten year old from fully fledged Sith warriors. She guarded him anyway, trying to lead them both through the disorder.
While Akk'rai came to the temple at a later age, slightly roughened from tough encounters, Zilei had been there from birth and had no experience facing any kind of danger. He was completely and utterly overwhelmed and he clung to Akk'rai very desperately. They never came out of it quite the same. And the seeds of a subtle conflict between them- one that would span nearly two decades- had been sown.
They retained the new dynamic long after the danger had passed- and it affected how they approached becoming Jedi. Akk'rai, despite being on the road to becoming a Jedi historian, remained frantically devoted to perfecting the art of lightsaber combat on the side; driven by the deep underlying fear that they would never be safe unless she could assure it. Her approach to combat was, in a way, scholarly- deeply analytical and systematic to guarantee a win and undermine danger or disable opponents quickly.
Zilei, on the other hand, with two Jedi masters in tow, felt no threat to his safety- especially with his sister there. Intuitively, he felt secure, and thus angled towards learning as something you absorb and experience over time, rather than something you force forward. Fighting was never his priority in becoming a Jedi Knight. The ability to defend yourself and others was just a necessary building block of the whole- and he would approach it as such, without fear. Not to say he never dealt with his own doubts and worries, rather, he managed them well enough to keep them from bleeding into his study.
As one might expect, these diverging attitudes did cause a disparity in their combat abilities. Not only did Akk'rai have more time as a Padawan under her belt, she fought with a different attitude- an additional underlying mentality guided her in combat alongside formal prowess. Losing a real fight could mean losing him, or someone else; she cannot afford to lose. But these fights weren't real. Rather than being saved from anything, Zilei's confidence in his own abilities was starting to suffer. Even if he did match her in technique, that final push of conviction often tipped the scales. Training became its own quiet battleground.
This imbalance was eventually addressed as Zilei quietly received some wisdom from his master; advice that would become foundational to his approach to combat throughout his life. To beat his sister, he would have to understand a certain principle: Dogmatically practicing every form to formulaic perfection can lead to rigidity- the faster an object moves, the harder it will crash. Every positive attribute in combat, and in life, tends to have an equal and exploitable negative- a vice that can be fallen into without care.
This mentally reframed Zilei's attitude to combat, and gave him the ground for a methodology to fall back on when approaching a fight. Staying serene, almost easygoing and waiting to trip your opponent up when they lean a little too far into unchecked drawbacks.
Both of them trained primarily Makashi (Form II) before their masters guided them into new styles befitting their individual dispositions. Akk'rai branched out into Ataru (Form IV), and Zilei branched into Soresu (Form III). Zilei ended up retaining Makashi as his go-to style for lightsaber duels, using his newfound flow to develop an almost nonchalant style of smooth, relaxed lightsaber combat. While Ataru became Akk'rai's main form, channeling that underlying restlessness into energy. Of course, things continue to change as they grow older, but that's beyond the scope of 'training' and more within 'life experience'. If you made it this far, thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed :D

Y’all ever heard of epigenetics?
Okay, mildly (though some not) angsty parent!Darlin and parent!Sam headcanons for what their kid would be like (focusing on ages 15-19)
So; for starters, the name I chose for my lil guy, the son of Sam and Darlin, is Samuel Jr. Sylvester Collins-Barrera (Barrera being the last name I hc for my Darlin)
Also, my hc for Darlin is that they’re half or fully Mexican and can speak Spanish fluently
Gonna start off with average character stuff
- Everyone his age calls him Samuel, some of the older pack call him Junior, to differentiate from his father
- He’s fluent in Spanish, lies about it though to take a Spanish class to breeze through a couple credits for high school
- Now, this one depends on what mood I’m in, but he’s either a Freelancer or a Shifter before he gets turned (more on that later), orrr if I’m feeling real funky and wanna ignore some canon lore I make him a bit of a hybrid, able to shift but quite adept at freelancer magics
- Him and Darlin’ spar, so his combat ability is honed to the point of them being evenly matched by the time he’s 19, but he can never quite defeat them in a match
- When he gains access to his magic at 13, Sam teaches him some small magic, and starts teaching him healing, which he picks up quickly
- Eventually specializes in healing, with a minor in illusions and dabbles in elemental magic at D.A.M.N. (This is in the further future though so this isn’t in a timeline order or anything)
- He shifts accidentally for the first time at home with Sam, 3 days after the solstice, not a very fun experience :(, and Darlin isn’t home, so Sam kinda freaks out cuz he doesn’t know what to do
- Not going to discuss the other pack kid headcanons here much (different post perhaps?) but basically, David has a son, and Samuel (the kid I’m talking about in this post) has a crush on him (him being the son of David)
- Vivienne, Vincent’s daughter, and him are very close, both being kids of clan-less vampire parents, so they can relate to each other the most
- He’s just as much of a vigilante as Darlin was, which makes his parents very worried, but he can heal himself, and use magic, helping him be better off in fights
Okay, now for the angst!! Yay :D
- He and David argue a lot about his reckless actions, leading him to distance himself from David and act similarly to how Darlin did, albeit relying on the general pack much more
- This one requires a small explanation; in my headcanon of how kids of vampires work (since they kinda can’t reproduce in canon etc idk it’s weird), they still inherit the current blood of their vampire parent, as well as their parents original blood (I did take a bio class so ik it would prob be only their old blood bc of genes and gametes but it’s cooler this way lol), and if their parent’s blood is from a very strong old-blood, it can affect the child adversely when they reach the age of unlocking their magic
- Sooooo because Samuel Jr. has Solaire blood, he’s turned by his own blood trying to take over the rest of his body when he’s 15, and basically dies!! Coming back as a vampire ofc
- And this is massively depressing for Sam, like majorly,, because as his son dies in his arms he tries his best to heal him and fails, not to mention he’s now the reason his son has lost the same freedoms Sam did many years ago :(
- In my headcanon of how this works with being turned early and stuff I think Samuel Jr. continues to age until he’s physically about 19 ish
- Ofc Samuel is bitter asf and says some super vitriolic stuff to Sam, temporarily severely harming their relationship, though they make up afterwards
- While in bloodlust, Sam and Darlin try bringing him to pack stuff still, but he’s a danger to non-vampires, making things difficult
- David eventually starts to get protective of the pack, seeing him as a possible threat (does it get dehumanizing? Yeah a little bit) but David’s son doesn’t care, and hangs around Samuel even though it’s dangerous, letting him drink his blood
- At one pack event David can’t find Samuel or his son and gets a bit panicky, even though he tries to hide it, and gets Sam, eventually they find them both, David’s son (who is the same age as Samuel, my guy ain’t feeding on a child dw 🥲) sitting on a bed playing a game on his phone, with Samuel calmly drinking from his wrist
- David is confused and a little frustrated, but his son explains that Samuel still has enough control, and that just because he’s been turned doesn’t mean he should be outcasted even during bloodlust (though he’s a little bit wrong because Samuel really is a danger but yk,, it’s ok Samuel is trying really hard to be careful around him bc he still has the crush from when they were kids)
- David cares about Samuel I promise 🥲 but he’s very concerned for the general well-being of the pack
- Samuel, being a stubborn guy just like both his parents, refuses to accept that he’s a vampire and is unable to enter sunlight and does some.. very reckless experiments, essentially running into sunlight at pack gatherings when no one’s looking and having to be dragged back by one of the nearby shifters
- Eventually he finds a weird way to alter his own core with a lot of magic, but he’s not really altering it, it’s more like his core never fully changed because he only had >49% Solaire blood so it didn’t have full effect (that does mean Vincent’s daughter got fully turned though 😔) so he can oddly change between forms, still having many disadvantages ofc (mary sue? Nooooooooo why would I do that :3 I just like multi-faceted powerful folks yeeeup) like sensitivity to sunlight, and a hard limit on how long he can retain his humanity (he can seem totally human / a shifter / a freelancer for about 2 hours until his hold on the magic keeping his core the right way slips)
- So once he’s around 17 he’s got a good hold on his magic, having reaccessed it after his experiments when he was 16 ish
- ..this does mean he’s a pretty crazy fighter now after a while of practice
Nowwwww who remembers me mentioning epigenetics way at the beginning of this lol (I promise I’m almost done but he’s my favourite redacted oc 😞)
- Fair warning this may imply that Darlin has the ability to birth so erm if that isn’t your cup of tea that’s totally okay and you can ignore this bit
- Basically Darlin’s epigenetics are passed onto him, and he has some major mental baggage because of it, being far more prone to mental health problems :(
TW: ALCOHOLISM
- He also copes very unhealthily with his problems by drinking, so much so that he swears off alcohol and stays sober when he’s only 20 and still can’t drink legally (in the US at least) :((
tw over it’s ok to read now
Okay okay that’s it for now I know I blabbered so much just now immm sorrryyyyy 😞
I will be posting more because there is a lot more to this little canon divergent thingy of mine !! Been having this in my brain for almost two years now but felt it was too.. idk.. self indulgent? Cuz I made him a littleeee too powerful and cool 😔 but I give him disadvantages so it’s ok ✅!!

Owl anon...hey I got a request....a shy reader or maybe weak reader...I'll let you decide....x pitaya dragon? Idk if they should be yandere or not so I'll let you decide that too lol!
Pitaya Dragon Cookie x Shy/Weak!Reader HCs
.Pitaya dragon cookie is a rough and violent dragon; they crave destruction and love a good fight. They found good fun in crushing the weaker cookies even if their “fights” were boring and pathetic.
.Then you showed up, you were a particularly fragile cookie. You were so meek and had trouble speaking to others or starting anything social.
.Pitaya at first thought it was funny, they’d had never seen a cookie as weak as you before…until it started to get cute. Like how one would a puppy, at first.
.When Pitaya first approached you, you had nearly passed out from fear alonethen felt utter confusion when the great red dragon had started a conversation with you.
.Well, it was mostly the dragon talking, you were struggling to keep up but Pitaya didn’t seem to notice. You tried to tell them to slow down and they almost immediately shut up when they heard you speak.
.They were quiet…was this…an encouragement for you to lead?
.Gulp…. “Um, great dragon can you…perhaps slow down? It’s difficult for me um…to keep up…”
.Pitaya takes your request as seriously as they can and tries to speak as a speed good for you, though occasionally they slip back to their normal pace. They were…odd…
.Ever since that day Pitaya would visit you, follow you around and just observe. They’d even be caught cooing at times because they really thought your little shy self was that adorable.
.They’d tried to push you to be more outgoing and would get angry when you’d just clam up more, it took Hollyberry smacking them upside the head for them to really listen.
.They can’t force you to be more open, they have to work at your pace. The Queen Mother even gave her old sparring and drinking buddy some tips on what to do.
.With this information Pitaya came back with a vengeance, but in a good way!
.While it was clear they were struggling with it, they were working more at your pace and not trying to force you to be social. Because of this you started to bond with them more easily and eventually became good friends.
.In fact…they were pretty much your only friend; your shyness didn’t do you much favors in the friendship department.
.They seemed to take pride in being your only friend, seeming to relish it in fact. You guessed it made them feel special and you agreed with that.
.You were surprised with how good of a friend they were, in fact, they were a very protective friend.
.Pitaya will hiss and growl at anyone they deem a threat to you, keeping you close to their side when you’re out. They simply don’t trust anyone else with you.
.Honestly it was a bit flattering that Pitaya cared so much about you and you wanted to show your own appreciation.
.You’d learn about dragons in return and Pitaya themselves, you learn that similar to a dog or cat Pitaya has sweet spots that they really love being scratched.
.They reacted very positively to this and was all over you.
.They noticed their feelings towards you are growing but they don’t much mind until they can fully understand it. One of their favorite things is to just keep embraced in their warm body.
.Once you two are romantically together Pitaya adores the sugar out of you and makes it known, very physical but stops when it gets to be too much.
.They’re even more protective over you, territorial towards perceived threats of the mateship.
.Like literally looming over someone they don’t like, hair spiked out, tail lashing, wings fanned. The works.
.They’re more outward about helping you through your fears and heavily enjoys flying around with you in their arms or on their back in dragon form.
.Though I hope you accept that by agreeing to this you’re mates for life now. Good luck!

I really like my idea of Randy and Spike having a brotherly bond so here are some HCs!
To start things off, Randy and Spike seemed like a weird choice to make a dynamic of but think about it! They're both red-coded, have an order to follow or failure will lead to consequences, and they're both music lovers!
Spike is definitely the big brother. He seems to be a young/mid adult while Randy is just a teenage boy! Though, that didn't stop them having opposite roles at times, where Randy has to act like the big brother here.
When they're together, it somewhat scares some of Randy's classmates off by seeing this tall 7'3 ft robot with glaring eyes while Randy is charting with them. What they didn't know is that this is his sign of protectiveness over Randy since he gets on his good side.
They often play the good/bad cop in roles, and sometimes Spike gets too real in his position as bad cop. It ended up with wet pants and white hair, and so Randy scolded him for making a scene. Spike didn't care, though, but he'll understand if it's someone Randy cares about.
Spike is shit at video games - The dude's never touched one in months. Randy teaches him, though, and overtime, Spike gets good.. At music games mostly!
When Spike first learned Randy's the Ninja, he's having a hard time choosing what to believe: His enemy is not an immortal dangerous for or the fact that a CHILD has been using the legacy and has been on the brink of his fate after every SINGLE FIGHT!
Randy, on the other hand, is shocked and nervous at Spike knowing his secret; however, at the same time, Spike doesn't show any signs of a threat to him and is just... There?
Spike no longer cared about capturing the Ninja or prove his worth to McFist, but he's still conflicted on the idea that his archenemy is a teenage child. His main goal is to support his people at Scrap City and find materials for repairs.
Fun fact: When Spike found a way to get out of Scrap City and went scouting to gather materials, he often spotted Randy doing his civilian life and was a bit envious at how lively normal the boy's experiences are.
After knowing Randy's the Ninja, Spike had a gut feeling to keep him away from going Ninja or doing something very dangerous. He felt like Randy should be humble for his life as a human boy.
Randy would be annoyed at Spike blocking his duties, often reasoning that He's The Ninja and his job is to protect his home, similar to how Spike wants to protect his City.
The difference is that Spike chose this role because his city was a sign of "Nothing", and no one would care enough to take pity or love for his people. Randy, on the other hand, was chosen as The Ninja and his whole life relied on it or else he'll be nothing.
As reluctant as he is, Spike would let Randy do his business as long as he helped along, knowing Randy cannot do this alone. The boy is a bit stubborn but eventually agreed.
When time passed, the two went from being awkward to eventually like brothers. Randy is protective of Spike getting hurt while Spike doesn't want Randy repeatedly risking his life for others.
Even though Spike is caring towards Randy, he is still the rebellious bad bot and so expect Randy having to hold back Spike before someone gets hurt!
They both sparred together in-between, with Spike helping Randy train for improvement!
Who knows - Maybe Spike will be an upcoming role to help the Ninja?

hello, I can ask for headcanons about how Masamune, Yukimura, Motonari, Saika and Motochika would try to confess their feelings?
Ooooh, yes! Confession imagines were always my jam, so I'm honored to write some myself! I'll try my best, so I hope you enjoy!
♡ Confessions - SB Imagines ♡
You've been close friends for a very long time. Living your lives, fighting alongside each other, and sharing many a laugh together over a nice cup of sake. But neither of you has expressed taking it further just yet, even though the chemistry is undeniable. And so it falls to your dearest friend to make the first move...
♡ Masamune ♡
Masamune is adamant to Kojūrō that he has everything under control. Sure, he's been very distracted lately, not as good in their sparring matches, and keeps zoning out, but everyone has those days, right? Sadly, he defends his actions as of late quite weakly... and when gazing into his Second-in-Command's eyes, he's pretty sure that he wouldn't be convinced even with a strong argument. That man has known him essentially his whole life... he knows when something is up.
Eventually, he sighs and begrudgingly tells Kojūrō what's on his mind. How he's fallen madly in love with you, how his days are so dull when you're not around. And at the end, he leans in closer and whispers, so no one can hear how incompetent he feels because he has no idea how to ask you out. Frustration is writ on his face the whole time he speaks. He can lead his men to battle and turn it into a party of bloodshed... but for some reason, his mind goes blank every time he tries to figure out what to tell you.
Kojūrō is silent the entire time, and his face betrays no sign of the amusement he feels at that moment.
"Why not say the things you've just told me? A proper confession should come from the heart, I believe. This is one of the things I can't help you with, Lord Masamune, as much as it pains me. This is your war to win," is all he says, much to Masamune's disappointment.
Of course he'll leave him to his own devices. Typical Kojūrō, always making sure he is a well-adjusted leader that can take care of himself. Ugh... sometimes he wishes he was just a bit more irresponsible. But that's neither here nor there. He has a war of the heart to go through, and damn it all if he doesn't win it like everything else.
The Dragon spends most of the next day mulling over possibilities. Sure, his confession should come from the heart, but he can't just leave it at that, can he? Just confessing isn't his style. No no no... you both need to have fun. A day that will be great even if you reject him; which is an idea that terrifies him more than he would like to admit. But when he leaves his work to his subordinates for the day and takes his time, he realizes that he has quite a few ideas brewing in his head... and he can't wait for tomorrow.
The next day, everything seems to go exactly the way you want it to. It's kind of suspicious, but you can't put your finger on it. When you go meet Masamune for breakfast, you find yourself gazing at a table full of foods you love. And the Lord has the audacity to act all casual about it, telling you to eat at your heart's content. While you eat, you ask what duties you have for today- you two may be friends, but you still serve the Date clan, after all. His response?
"Don't worry about it."
You look at Kojūrō, who's guarding the room at his usual spot, but the man is as stoic as ever, revealing nothing. So you do as Masamune says... you don't worry about it, digging into your food.
But it doesn't stop there. Whatever you want to do during the day, he seems to be on board with. Sparring with ridiculous rules in place? Sure, that's fun. Riding to the markets and stuffing yourself with sweets? He'll buy you enough so that you even have some for tomorrow. Finally racing your horses against each other like you were planning when younger? Your wishes are his command... and you're 99% sure he let you win. But you're not complaining, it felt good.
And after a day filled with fun, you end up in the gardens of his castle, sitting on the grass with cups of warm sake in hand. Your eyes sparkle with joy in the moonlight, and Masamune knows that he'll remember that look forever, no matter the outcome of this day.
"So..." you finally break the silence, watching how the wind plays with his brown hair. "Want to tell me what this is about?"
"What's what about?" he gives you a cocky grin in response.
"Well... today. It's like we're celebrating something."
He lets out a bark of laughter at that, tilting his head to the side as he pretends to think of a response.
"Well... I suppose we are. Look, don't expect anything awfully sappy from me... but I'm just glad you're here. My lucky seventh claw," he says eventually, his usual mischievous glare giving to a look of sincerity.
Your eyes widen, but before you can even say anything, he speaks again.
"I was thinking a lot about us... you see? About everything we've gone through together. I mean, you've been here almost as long as Kojūrō- and that's a lot. You've seen me act like an absolute idiot, but you never left me behind, even though it probably would have been deserved. And I mean..." he cuts himself off for a moment, his expression turning almost bashful as he struggles to find his words. "Today was fun. And maybe we won't get to do things like this often, maybe not at all. But... every day's a party with you, even if we're both covered in the blood of our enemies. And I... I want it to keep going. I want to enjoy the rest of my life with you next to me, and if all these stupid wars end while we're still around... then I want to make every day that remains a thousand times better than this one."
He takes a deep, shaky breath, letting out a few quiet curses.
"What I mean by that is- do you want it? The wildest adventure we'll ever have? An adventure with... me?"
The Dragon stares at you with his single eye, his breath hitching as he knows that his heart has been laid bare, and thinking that this was probably the worst confession known to man. Your stunned silence certainly doesn't help ease his worries at all.
And then you take his hands into yours, a huge grin plastered on your face.
"Of course."
♡ Yukimura ♡
Yukimura is panicking, and not even trying to hide it by this point.
He told himself, he promised to himself that this week, he'd finally confess to you. And yet, every single day that he wakes up thinking that this is the day... he chickens out the moment he sees you. Your smile... oh, that smile. He loves it, and he's terrified he'll lose it forever if he confesses and you reject him.
That's how it often goes, no? One rejects another, and then the friendship just feels off, which results in both people slowly drifting away from each other. He's seen it before, and the idea of it scares him beyond belief. He can't lose you. But that feeling, that need to be something more than just your friend... it gnaws at his heart even stronger than his fears. He wants to be yours, to stand by your side until you both take your last breaths.
Of course, he tries to ask around about what to do. Sasuke wasn't much help at all. The shinobi simply shrugged and told him to do what feels natural. Not like he would actually know what to do, never having been in a relationship. His Lord wasn't much better. What began as a simple, vague question about how to confess love turned into Lord Shingen telling him about his many romantic escapades from when he was younger. He certainly did not need to hear all that... but it was still somehow better than the advice he got from some of his fellow warriors.
He's on his own. And maybe it's for the best, now that he thinks about it. He just has to find his courage, and it will all go smoothly, right?
...right?
Well, he certainly won't get anywhere by overthinking it and doing nothing. So, he decides to confess when he's the most in his element: during a sparring match.
It's a fight like any other between you two. You hold nothing back, knowing the other can take it. You tend to bring out the best in each other, after all. And you know each other's moves enough by now that it's very easy to prevent serious injury. It's his spears against your trusty blade, sparks flying as they clash. A grin is plastered across your face, while his expression is nothing short of determined.
You're winning.
"I must say, your form is particularly good today!" his gaze never leaves you as he dodges yet another blow from you, an excited glint in those beautiful brown eyes of his. Of course he would exchange pleasantries mid-fight. Typical Yukimura.
"It's the same as always," you quip back once you're sure it's safe for you to talk. "But you seem a bit distracted..."
That seems to give him pause. His face, which was already flush from the physical exertion, changes into a shade of crimson that rivals his clothes.
"Ah, well- um... you could say that I am!" he shakes his head, trying to focus as he attempts a counter attack. "For there is something weighing on my heart!"
His hands shake a bit with a mixture of nervousness and excitement as he seems to gain a new burst of energy. The tables are turning, both in his mind and in the sparring match. But you say nothing, looking at him expectantly as you refuse to let him regain his footing.
"It's difficult to put into words... but there has only been one thing on my mind for the longest time now. And that- that's you! Every time we spar like this, my heart burns even stronger than it used to. Every single moment I get to spend with you makes me forget to breathe because of how... happy it makes me. And every time I look into your eyes I... I get utterly lost!" his words are hesitant at first, but are quickly filled with the fiery passion you know him for. "But I know that even if I feel lost, I always find my way thanks to you! I wish to be more than just your brother in arms, more than your friend..."
Your weapons lock into one another, creating a window through which he looks at you. And you look back at him. Your hair is messy, your faces red, your breathing heavy... and the world seems to revolve around this moment.
"I wish... I wish that I could be yours! You make my heart burn with the brightest flame... and it would be my greatest honor if you decided to feed that flame, until we leave this world."
His voice is quiet by the time he finishes speaking. An innocent plea said by Yukimura himself, not the warrior and leader he tries to be. And as if connected by some invisible link, you both step back, lowering your weapons. The silence that follows is thick with anticipation, and yet... yet those words slip from your mouth as naturally as another breath.
"I want to be yours, too."
♡ Motonari ♡
Motonari is... well, he doesn't even know what he's feeling right now. It's a mix of annoyance and confusion, spiced up by something... awfully warm and fuzzy that he really doesn't want to think about. Love and affection? Pathetic, he is above such trivial notions, he's the Child of the Sun, he-
He's hopelessly in love with the only true friend he has, and has no idea what to do.
Maybe it's how talking to you never felt dull. Maybe it's how you stuck by him with no fear for all these years, not getting caught in a scheme of his even once. Or perhaps it's how... gentle you are to him. Like the time after a devastating loss, when you sat down with him and placed a hand on his shoulder, listening to his frustrations. There's just something comforting about you, something that allows him to feel the things he tends to bury deep in his mind. You make him feel... human. That's probably the best way to put it, as much as he hates that fact.
And now he's at a crossroads. Either he ignores this ever-growing passion in his heart, which would be the harder, yet more logical option for him... or he faces it head-on, and maybe, just maybe, takes things further. Logic against feeling, the comfort of things staying the same fighting the temptation of the unknown.
But in the end, the feelings he has for you win. It's simply too much. And so he decides to confess his feelings, whatever they may be.
Motonari is not a romantic person by any means, and he won't pretend to be. Still, from what he knows, it would make sense for the confession to take place in pleasant circumstances. So he makes sure everything is perfect. Meaning, he orders all his underlings to covertly prepare everything, while he doesn't have to lift a finger. Why wouldn't he take that opportunity, with so many soldiers ready to do his bidding?
Finally, the time comes. The whole day has just been... suspiciously relaxing for you. No planning of strategies, no training, nothing you were used to. You suddenly had time to do some things you were putting off for so long to help ensure the clan is doing well. And everything you wanted was taken care of with the snap of a finger.
Something is afoot.
And the hunch you had was right, which you find out in the evening. You don't eat dinner inside, but instead in the castle gardens. Plenty of comfortable cushions are laid out for you to sit on, there's a lot of good food... and a certain warlord who is attempting to steal sneaky glances at you and failing miserably.
"So... what's the occasion?" you raise an eyebrow at him after a while of silence, gently tilting the cup with your drink from side to side.
"Whatever do you mean?" he responds in that nonchalant, monotone voice of his.
It took you a long time to learn it, but even he has a tell when he lies. The pinky on his right finger tends to twitch subtly anytime something dishonest leaves his mouth. Perhaps that is why he has such long sleeves on his armor. And he's doing it right now. Not even attempting to hide it, either.
"Come on, stop pulling my leg. You don't usually have fancy dinners like this with me... or give me days off," you point out, which makes his shoulders tense up.
He's completely out of his element here, and here you go pointing out something which could be seen as a fault on his side. Well, that does decrease his chances slightly, but he has to keep a cool head if he is to win you over. Even a love confession can be strategic if he tries hard enough, right?
"Ah. I suppose that is true," he gazes off into the distance, looking at nothing in particular, "are you unsatisfied with our current arrangement?"
Your eyes narrow with suspicion at that, but his body language betrays nothing about it being a trick question, so you decide to be honest with him.
"Well... it would be nice to have days like this more often, but we are also at war, so I understand having a lot of work," you shrug. "I doubt our enemies would respect my day off."
"True enough," a ghost of a smile graces his lips, something rarely seen on his face. Is he... amused?
"You still haven't answered my question."
A pause. He looks back at you, his face going back to its stoic, unfeeling facade.
"You are correct... though I suppose I was hoping that diverting your attention to a different topic would make you forget altogether. Alas..." he hums in thought, his eyes never leaving yours. "There is something we must discuss."
Uh oh, that doesn't sound good at all. When people say things like that, it usually means something went wrong, and you know Motonari has no qualms saying what he doesn't like. In detail. So you do the smart thing and simply gesture for him to continue.
"Something has been on my mind for a while now, but it took me a a long time to sort my thoughts out in regards to it. You and me... we have known each other for a long time now. And you know me better than anyone else in my life," he begins, shifting a bit so he faces you more with his entire body. "I used to find that fact quite unnerving. After all, such knowledge can be quite dangerous. But lately, my opinion has been changing. I do not mind it as much anymore. Or you in general. I suppose I have gotten used to you by now. Enough that I find your presence... pleasant, I suppose."
You open your mouth, but no words come out as you stare at him in stunned silence. Motonari being nice? Or, as nice as Motonari can be, that is. And what's worse, his hands are completely still, and nothing else betrays any hint of dishonesty. But seeing your shock, he clears his throat and quickly clears his throat, trying to save the situation despite words of affection not being his forte.
"What I mean to say is... a long time has passed since I simply saw you as yet another valuable asset. You have become a trusted companion, as strange it is for me to say. And in the past few months, you have made me feel- different. It terrifies me, because no matter what I try, I can't seem to get these feelings under control. And yet... it's very pleasant, and I find myself giving into them more and more often," his brows suddenly furrow as he attempts to explain his feelings to you. "It's like happiness, but it goes further. It feels better than when something goes exactly as planned... or when I triumph over you in shogi. Better than- anything else I can think of, I suppose. And it only happens when I'm with you."
He gazes at the starry sky, suddenly seeming strangely vulnerable.
"To put it simply... I would like to try something new. To be... more to you, and for you to be more to me. No more schemes, no more... facades. I want us to trust each other fully. And maybe, just maybe- do more than trust. You have shown me that there is an array of emotion that I have no clue about, and I think it's time for me to... research into that. Learn. Live," he seems almost hesitant as he looks back at you for the last time. "Perhaps there is a place for the both of us under the sun's glorious rays... what do you think?"
It takes a bit for you to process everything he said. He has just confessed that he has feelings- dare you say, love - for you. In the most Motonari way possible, of course, but you can't help but find it endearing. It is true, you know him better than anyone. But that goes both ways, and despite his strange habits and almost sadistic satisfaction he seems to get when he beats you at board games... you appreciate him a lot, too. There is something exciting about the prospect of getting to know the real him and just... being close. And besides, who can say no to a mutually beneficial agreement?
"I think there is... so let's see where this path leads us. I accept."
♡ Magoichi ♡
When Magoichi realizes she's in love with you, it gives her pause. Not that such feelings are unwelcome, on the contrary; it is simply an odd feeling. She tends to keep herself detached, focused on the task ahead so she can be the best leader of the Saika Faction she can. But it seems that even someone seemingly cold like her has her own weaknesses.
And oh, does she have one for you.
How could she not? You were by her side since you were only children, and you never left her behind. Whether she was was having the best time of her life or mourning those she had lost, you were an ever-present companion that she could share her life with without being worried. And she offered the same to you, though she was never all that great at it. That kind of trust is hard to come by, especially in these dark times, and she never took it for granted.
But now, she is faced with feelings much deeper than close friendship. Love seems like a very pleasant feeling so far, and it helps that you seem like you could even be receptive to it, were she to confess. And yet...
She hesitates.
Would it be a good idea for her to do such a thing? What if she neglects her duties too much? What if the attachment to you becomes a burden instead of the pillar she leans upon when she needs companionship? What if it hinders your ability to do your job? Neither of you can afford such a thing, not when there's a war raging everywhere around you and you need to stay vigilant.
However, that's only the logical part of her mind. The part that's slowly but surely getting overshadowed by that pleasant, fuzzy feeling in her chest. The loud thumping of her heart whenever you flash that grin of yours after a job well done. When you tell her about something you love and your eyes light up than the stars she sees every night. When she returns from patrol, only to find you snoring soundly on your mat in the most adorable way possible.
She weighs down her options, and eventually figures that keeping her feelings bottled up would be much worse. She's had enough of that, and you... you've convinced her, at least partly, that even she deserves affection. Besides, she's let you this close already, it can't be much worse.
She doesn't fuss over the confession itself much; Magoichi is a straight-forward, practical woman. She knows that saying it how it is in a relaxed situation is more than enough. And she wouldn't even know how to confess in a romantic way without sounding like an idiot- or a certain poetic vagabond with more feathers in his hair than sense in his head. Ugh.
So she does exactly that. On a fairly uneventful day, she invites you to go on patrol with her, as she often does. She knows she can count on you having her back. And just like any other time, it doesn't take long for a conversation to start. It's mostly you talking and her listening, a preferred arrangement between the two of you. She watches intently as your lips curl up into an amused smile while you tell her a joke you heard from one of your fellow Crows.
Magoichi is so lost in your expression, in fact, that she almost forgets to react, resulting in a somewhat delayed snort and amused roll of the eyes.
"Of course he'd say something like that... not surprised," she shakes her head, and only a pleasant silence follows right after.
It's late in the afternoon, and the sun is just now remembering that it's supposed to set, casting everything in a warm orange hue. Dirt and grass crunches around your feet as you walk, and you can hear a few birds chirping here and there. It's wonderful, and you can't help but take sneaky glances at the gorgeous landscape around you both.
"You know, I wanted to talk to you about something," she hums after a while, and slows her steps into an eventual stop.
You stop next to her, wordlessly gesturing for her to continue. The fearless leader of the Saika Faction doesn't respond immediately, however. Instead, she takes a deep breath and looks out into the distance, suddenly feeling incredibly awkward.
"Look, I won't mince words here, or I'll probably say something ridiculous," she turns back to you, crossing her arms in a seemingly relaxed manner. "Lately, I've been thinking... and I realized that you started to mean even more to me than before. I always cared about you, even if I wasn't great at expressing it. And I know you know that. But lately... it's been different for me. You smile at me and I suddenly feel like a mess-"
She cuts herself off for a moment, shaking her head again with a tiny scoff at herself. It's clear that this is a bit new to her. A bit unnerving, even.
"I guess I just fell for you, and I don't know what to do with myself except telling you. And I'm kind of hoping you feel the same. That you want to hold my hands and... tell me that you love me, just like I want to do the same for you. Right now, there's nothing that I want more, even though part of me feels stupid for saying all that," she smiles awkwardly. "...what do you say?"
But you know you don't need to say much. All it takes is taking her hand in yours, gently intertwining your fingers... and saying what has been on your mind for the longest time as well.
"I love you too."
♡ Motochika ♡
It takes Motochika an awfully long time to realize that his feelings for you run a bit deeper than regular friendship. It has nothing to do with his intelligence, nor lack of perception. He might be an intimidating warlord and an intimidating pirate, but no one could deny the size of his heart when it comes to all those he considers friends. And his crew? His crew is family. One that you're a very important part of. So, him showering you with affection and absolutely adoring you has always been par for the course.
But lately, his own feelings have been a bit of a mystery to him. It wasn't like there was anything wrong, per se. He was content, happy, even! Sailing the seas, being a menace and searching for treasure with his crew... it's all a sea wolf like him can ask for, war be damned. And yet, there was something strange, something tugging on his heartstrings. He even thought he was sick at one point, before he realized how silly that was. And through a mixture of pondering and talking it over with some of the other crew members, he slowly realizes that the source of that odd feeling is none other than you.
And that brings us to know. The poor man is in love, and now that he knows it, it's gotten even worse. Oh, how he wishes to scoop you up into his arms and never let go, to sit with you on the deck and stargaze when everyone is asleep, fall asleep while holding you every night and wake up the same way every morning... it's driving him insane. But he wants to do this right, to earn your love.
The problem is, he has no idea where to even begin.
He absolutely refuses to court you like some stupid, snobby lord from the mainland. That would probably just scare you off, anyway. You're made of sterner stuff, just like him. Maybe he could hunt down a shark for you? Impressive, sure, but kind of weird, so no. The treasure you have is shared by all of the crew, so it's not like giving you any of that would mean much, either. But he wants to do something for you, give you something, something that comes from the heart...!
Ah. He's got it. He'll do something he's never done before.
When the ship makes small stop on land the next day, he lets everyone do as they please (like always, anyhow), and disappears without telling anyone. Even you're none the wiser about where he went, but you're not particularly worried about him. He knows how to take care of himself. Most of the time, at least.
But unbeknownst to you, he went to a somewhat secluded beach nearby. And with no one to observe and possibly spoil the surprise, he starts gathering seashells. Big ones, small ones- as long as he finds them beautiful, he takes them, and slowly builds a decent collection. He wraps it all in a cloth, tucking it into a small pouch he currently has on his hip, before he slinks back to you and the others.
Later that night, he sheepishly approaches a member of his crew; a scrawny, cheery young man named Teruo, who has a bit of a knack for everything concerning jewelry. Collecting, and even making various trinkets is his hobby, which makes him a fairly valuable member of a team when the crew needs to make a bit more money. But this time, the infamous Sea Devil approaches him for a different purpose.
He wants to make a necklace for you... using the shells he collected.
Obviously, he doesn't really know much about that sort of handiwork. His hands are great at fishing, swinging his anchor around to defeat terrified enemies... rough work, nothing as gentle as this. But he wants to learn. He wants to put an effort into making something for you. Something that you will appreciate and will hopefully look as good on you as he imagines. And when his dear aniki explains the situation, how can Teruo refuse to help?
And so begins a long, frustrating night full of cursing, some broken seashells, and unwavering effort of a pirate that's hopelessly in love. By the time he's done, he's certain it's almost morning, so he decides to at least take a short nap. He doesn't even bother to go back to his cabin. He just slumps down in the corner on the hard wooden floor, gently clutching the newly made necklace in his right palm.
He doesn't sleep for long, though. He's used to waking up around sunrise, and his biological clock doesn't disappoint this time, either. So he sleepily gets out of Teruo's tiny cabin (not without muttering an apology for bothering him the entire night, though), and walks back up on the deck. And as luck would have it...
...he spots you.
You're standing there, letting the wind caress your hair as your arms rest against the ship's railing. You seem content, just staring at the sun as it lazily rises up on the skyline. And if Motochika wasn't in love with you before, then boy is he now. You look utterly perfect to him in the warm orange glow, and like a siren, you've enthralled him yet again, heart and soul.
This is it. There will never be a moment more perfect than this.
He walks up to you casually, stopping right beside you. It takes him a while to speak, as he mentally prepares himself for what he's about to do.
"Enjoying the sunrise?" he asks as he hides the necklace behind him, his other hand moving to rest on his hip.
"Mhm."
Your response sounds a bit absent-minded, but that's mostly because you're still a bit sleepy. You're enjoying the sunrise, but paying attention to him, too.
"I get it. No better view of the sky than from the deck of a ship, with wind in your hair and the smell of the sea right at your nose..." he hums in approval, before his voice slips into a soft murmur. "Anyway... wanted to tell you something."
That tears your gaze from the gorgeous scenery, and brings it to his face. His brown eyes are filled with a strange tenderness, while the rest of his face remains somewhat stoic. You know the look... he has something important to say, but he'll probably say it with that endearing sincerity of his.
"So... we've known each other for what feels like forever, huh? Sailing the seas, having an adventure wherever the wind takes us... it's been fun. Great having you by my side through all that," he gives you a sincere, yet somewhat awkward grin. "But you know... I've been thinking a lot lately. About us, I mean. And I realized you mean a lot more to me than I thought you did. Not that you weren't one of my favorites before- you're the backbone of this crew at this point. But I guess I caught myself wanting... more."
There's a short pause, and you can clearly see the momentary realization in his eyes that he's really doing this, and there's no going back from it.
"What I want to say is... I... love you. A lot. And I want- I hope that maybe, we could be more than what we are now. More than a Captain and his right hand. I want you to be my partner in crime. Well, not just in that, but in everything," he rubs the back of his head to soothe his nervousness. "And to show you it's not just words, and I really mean it, I made something for you."
He finally reveals the necklace. It's actually pretty well made for his first try. A bit crude in some places, but clearly made with love. There's even a few silver beads dividing the various seashells to spice things up a bit.
"I know, not the best accessory in the world... but I worked hard on it. Picked out some shells I thought you'd like and put it together, even though it was kind of frustrating," he chuckles awkwardly. "...do you like it?"
You take the necklace from him, admiring it for a few more moments. Maybe it's not the most beautiful piece of jewelry, but he made it for you. Just for you. That's enough to make your heart beat like crazy. You care for him a lot too, more than you were comfortable with admitting before. And when you see the puppy eyes he's giving you now, you can't help but feel that maybe it's time to let yourself feel that love, let it out.
Without a word, you fall into his arms, and he catches you in time.
"I don't like it. I love it. But not more than you."
---
Woo! It's done! After such a long wait, I'm finally back with another finished request. This one was kind of daunting, to be honest... but I think I did okay! Despite all the obstacles, I finished these silly scenes, and I'm super proud! And that leaves only one more request in my backlog.
Thanks for your patience, and that you read my stories, it means a lot to me.
And as always...

Now let’s look at how the East Blue crew relates to each other. I already talked about their relationships with Ace over here. Now let’s look at the crew itself.
Kuina and Reiju.
Just like Sanji and Zoro they have a tense relationship because of their backgrounds
Kuina was taught to reject her femininity in favor of strength. She grew up in a culture where girls couldn’t be strong. So she rejected traditional feminine traits to make sure her opponents took her seriously.
Her hair is short. She doesn’t wear skirts, make up or care for her over all appearance. She’s strong and honorable and everything she believes a swordsman has to be.
Reiju grew up in a place where she was expected to be as strong as her brothers. Her gender wasn’t a weakness, her father definitely favored her brothers but she was trained right along side them. But she also had her mom. Her mom who was kind and soft and strong in so many ways that people don’t see. Her mom who even when everything was falling apart still put herself together and looked presentable for her kids.
Reiju is strong but is very feminine. She can fight with the best of them but you’re going to know it’s a girl kicking your butt (everything is pink) Her appearance is always near flawless. Between wanting to imitate the memory of her mother, wanting to be presentable as an employee of the Baratie, and most importantly because she likes to, she dresses well.
Kuina and Reiju have conflicting views on femininity and on men.
Kuina sees men as equals and competition. She is just as strong and will be stronger than all of them. Her opponent being a man or a woman doesn’t matter to her. What matters is winning.
Reiju has a lot of trauma from growing up under Judge. From seeing how her brothers treated Sanji and she knows realistically that they are outliers. That her brothers literally had there emotions stripped from them. But she’s very distrustful of men. She more brutal in her fights against male opponents then female. (Unlike Sanji she will still fight a female opponent, but she doesn’t go for the jugular as quickly with them as she does with men)
They’re differing opinions on strength, femininity, and men defiantly leads them to butt heads.
As they travel together and with the rest of the crew they start to reevaluate their views.
Ace’s presence (and later Hiriluk, and Iceburg) helps heals some of Reiju’s trauma. She won’t ever give her trust away to a stranger but she is more willing to give them a chance.
Between Kaya, Nojiko, and Reiju’s influences Kuina becomes a little more comfortable in her femininity. (I’ll talk about her relationship with the other girls later) starting to see strength in traditionally feminine traits and finding things she enjoys. Learning that she doesn’t have to reject that part of herself to be taken seriously by the people around her.
After three years I like to think that Kuina grows her hair out, wearing it in ponytails/buns as her crewmates like to play with her hair.
Reiju and Kuina’s relationship mellows the longer they are together and as they grow as people. They still are fundamentally different but they respect each other and will occasionally argue but it’s more for fun and to spar then it is to prove the other wrong.
Kuina and Kaya
Kaya is very feminine. She grew up as an heiress. Nice dress, soft gentle attitude. And Kuina loves her. This is her little sister now. And she excited to train this girl to be a strong fighter like her.
Kaya is so excited to have her new sibling, her new life. She loves training with the different members of the crew. She’s a range weapon user so she and Kuina don’t spar with weapons. Instead Kuina helps Kaya build up her strength and endurance.
Kaya also tries to teach Kuina things. I think Kaya is the first member of the crew to start playing with Kuina’s hair. Braiding it back, keeping it out of her face. Kuina loves it. She’s never had this kind of affection before. Eventually other crew members join in, Ace learning from Kaya how to braid. Nojiko showing off different hair styles that can be done with short hair. Reiju sweeping in with the fanciest styles you’ve ever seen. And it becomes tradition to play with Kuina’s hair.
Kuina is very protective of Kaya. She is their youngest. Kuina knows just how much the world tries to beat down girls with big dreams and she doesn’t want that for Kaya. She expect Kaya to becomes strong enough to stand in her own but that doesn’t mean she’s going to let any one hurt her.
That being said Kuina is also weak to two people on the crew. Her idiot captain and their youngest member. So when the two start on their nonsense, playing games being foolish, Kuina’s not far behind. She acts like it’s to watch over them but she just as foolish and is only waiting for an excuse to join in.
Kuina and Nojiko
Both women are rather serious at time. They know the harshness of the world. They know how they can be perceived as women in it. But where Kuina rages against it Nojiko uses it to her advantage. Where Kuina hates being seen as weak, Nojiko loves it. You think I’m too weak to be a threat, have fun being robbed blind.
While they have different concepts of honor and how to handle the world, they respect each other. Kuina laughs everytime Nojiko tricks other people I to giving them, supplies, cash, food. Nojiko is a hustler and know how to get by and is extremely helpful especially in the crews early days.
Nojiko is girly. She likes looking nice. But she also gets her hands dirty and has weaponized her femininity to her advantage. She the middle ground between Kuina’s rejection, Kaya’s traditional, and Reiju’s hyper femininities. And she gets along well with all of them.
Kuina and her definitely go out when they’re at port and find people who are stupid enough to think they can beat Kuina. Nojiko turns the challenge into a spectacle and starts betting on the fight. Kuina always win, and Nojiko always walks away with her pockets a lot heavier. And this is why she claims Kuina is her favorite. (She loves all the crew equally)
Nojiko and Kaya
Nojiko is the only one who has had a little sister before. She is the one who initiates girls nights. Spending time doing Kaya hair and talking smack about the other pirates they’ve run into.
(Side note: the first time she called for a girls night, Ace was super confused, what is a girls night and how is it any different from a normal night on board? Kuina has never been to one either and as much as Reiju claims to know what she’s doing, she hasn’t been to one either. And Kaya is excited because she’s always wanted friends to have a girls night with but between her parents wealth and status, her age, and their deaths, it was hard to make friends in syrup village. So Nojiko has to walk the crew through what a girls night is. She realizes pretty fast that Ace gets to join, after all it’s not fair to kick out the only boy on the crew, but once she’s done explaining Kuina is out, this is not her thing and Ace is going to go spare with her until Nojiko start talking crap about the Buggy pirate because seriously what was their deal. Ace is always down to roast someone and Kuina is not passing up the opportunity to talk about how ridiculous their unicycle swordsman was)
Kaya and Nojiko are the weaker members of the crew. They bond over their desire to become stronger to protect the crew. They both train endurance with Kuina, Ace is always willing to spare and show them how to throw a punch, Reiju has a lot of training on how to fight so she’s quiet helpful even thought she never explains where that knowledge comes from….
But Kaya and Nojiko are the ‘normal’ people on the crew. Much like Usopp and Nami, they bond over the lack of strength and how crazy strong their crewmates are.
Reiju and Nojiko
Reiju and Nojiko both get along well. They are both used to being older sisters and are the more reserved members of the crew. When Ace and Kaya start playing they can talk Kuina in occasional but it’s rarer to get Nojiko and Reiju.
They’re still silly (it is one piece) but they don’t have the relationship that Sanji and Nami do. Reiju isn’t falling all over Nojiko like Sanji does for Nami.
They are definitely gossip buddies. Kaya’s to young to hear some of the things they say. Kuina has dedicated her self to training that certain things fly over head (especially in the beginning) and Ace grew up in a jungle. He’s a weird mix bag of things that he understands and things he’ll gossip about. So Reiju and Nojiko definitely have secret gossip sessions in the kitchen where they talk about everything from how attractive a marine, pirate, villager, crew member 👀 is to how pathetic some of their adversaries are to the inner relationships of the crew.
The tea session is always piping hot. Olivia definitely joins in when she joins the crew. Offering motherly advices and scathing comments.
Ace occasionally gets invited because apparently his little brother was great at coming up with ridiculous nicknames for people and he has some great commentary to add on to conversations about their past foes. He’s unfitted and says the most off the wall things and the girls love it.
Reiju and Kaya
It’s Reiju’s first time having a younger sister. She loves Kaya. The girl is so sweet and different from what Reiju grew up with and she wants to preserve that. But she’s not sure how to interact with her at first.
Most of her interactions with her brothers was in training, and those are bad memories. It takes a while before she starts helping to train Kaya because she doesn’t trust herself not to go over board.
But as they get to know each other and Kaya talks about her insecurities about not being enough for the crew Reiju kicks into gear. They start training to get Kaya up to speed. She won’t ever be on Ace, Reiju, and Kuina but she can become strong enough to hold her own. Eventually she will be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with these giant and know she belongs there. Reiju will make sure of that.
They all take water seven hard but the tension between Ace and Kaya affects Reiju the most. It never gets as bad as the fight between Usopp and Luffy but Ace isn’t the gentlest and Kaya is so unbalanced at the idea of losing Merry. Reiju is just waiting for Ace to say the wrong thing. Keeps hearing her brothers taunting Sanji in her ears. And she’s loyal to Ace. She would die for him in a heart beat. He’s changed her life for the better in so many ways. She’s never been this free. But if he says the wrong thing to Kaya she might have to fight him.

Knightly Training - 6K Words
Fwhip, a knight of the kingdom, is assigned to train a new recruit. it leads to a lot more things than either of them expect, really.
A03
Fwhip, a fairly young man with ginger hair and a tall frame, as well as dragon wings plastered to his back, has been a part of the royal knights for almost five years now. He joined when he was barely eighteen, and currently had no intention of leaving. He quite liked his job, and was always trying to climb the ranks in any way he could. Achieve more things, increase his wealth. He was ambitious like that, people would often say. Whether that was to his own good or detriment really depended on the situation.
Eventually though, the ambition would pay off. Just like the ginger assumed it was always going to. But, it didn’t pay off in the way he, or anyone else, expected. No, it did quite the opposite in fact. But the ginger would be the last person to complain about the outcomes.
One day, Fwhip is requested by the head of the knights to do a new job. They say he is picked because he is very skilled, which the ginger knows to be true, and because he can work well with others. Despite his quietness and sometimes rude demeanor he could boast. He is asked to train their newest recruit, a man with barely any skill under his belt. And Fwhip accepts the offer, knowing he would be a fool not to. Doing it instantly elevates him to a higher standing than he is currently, so it seemed like a no brainer to say yes.
Little does he know, when he walks down to meet the knights newest member, is that that day will be life changing. For him and the man he meets near the castle gardens, a man dressed in well made clothing and with a pose that suggests his near anxious demeanor being in such a new and formal environment.
The new recruit walks in and he looks…. promising . A little scrawny, maybe from a family a little poorer than Fwhip’s own, but there is potential behind his messy blonde hair and wide brown eyes. He’s got a good frame, and some muscles already. Fwhip can work with that just fine, even though the avian wings he has might get in the way. But the ginger himself is a dragon, and has experience dealing with that sort of stuff.
The man introduces himself as Jimmy, from another family of decently high standing, much like the gingers own, and then the two of them get to working together. After the newcomer gets a quick tour, of course. Wouldn't want him getting lost trying to find his new bedroom in the estates, after all.
The first lesson, which happens later that same day, goes better than expected. Fwhip was anticipating that he’d have to repeat even the most basic of moves over and over again to his new winged friend, but Jimmy picked up on things fairly quickly. Despite his decently frequent amount of ditzy moments, some of which were probably played up for laughs, there was a smart brain under all those pretty looks.
Fwhip smiles as Jimmy gets yet another technique down pretty good on his first few tries, and knows this job is gonna be a lot more fun than he first thought. The dragon quite missed having a sparring partner, he had to admit. So maybe this wouldn’t be too bad after all.
Maybe his life would finally be going somewhere good.
______________________________________
Over the next few months of training, Fwhip and Jimmy become closer. The ginger didn’t know what to expect of their relationship, since this is his first time as a trainer. But he was not all that against the friendship that was starting to blossom during their sessions. It’s nice, finally having a friend around his own age in the knights. One who was willing to talk about something other than business and alcohol or bitching about their wives. It was certainly better than the consistent loneliness Fwhip had settled with before.
The two men started to learn more about each other too, and it turns out they have a lot in common. For one, they both had sisters. Jimmy’s sister, Lizzie, was the older one, while Gem was the younger of her and Fwhip. Sisters who were not very lady like as well, as people liked to point out frequently.
They learn that both of them are unmarried as well, and should probably be searching for a wife. Though if he’s honest, Fwhip isn’t very interested in finding a wife. Not in that way, no, no, no. The ginger absolutely liked the opposite sex. He would just rather find a good woman he liked rather than buy the next young and pretty thing; like a good portion of men seemed to do. Also Gem would have her gripes if he did the latter, and her gripes were always really annoying. Jimmy, on the other hand, is a little younger than him, meaning the pressure for him to wed is slightly less. The avian seems more concerned about his knighthood than a woman right now, something Fwhip applauds. That’s a good quality to have indeed.
They also learn that each of them had lost their parents early, one of the seemingly many similarities between them. Each man says they are sorry for the others loss, the quietly and somberly move on from the painful topic. It seems like the best they can do, for Fwhip is sure talking about it is just as painful for Jimmy as it is for him.
His friendship with Jimmy feels a lot….deeper than his friendship with other people. A lot more personal. Like he could tell the blonde anything at all, and he would listen without complaint. Likewise, Fwhip feels like he could listen to Jimmy ramble for hours upon hours and never once get bored of it. His voice was just so nice and….enchanting, if he dared to say it.
They two or them often walk back from their training session together, chatting up a storm until they had to separate, or one of them was needed elsewhere. Today is going to be no different, another one of their personal conversations having started at the end of the training session. Those were always the ones they spent the longest on, which made the walks back to their respective chambers longer. Especially because their rooms were not anywhere near each other in the estate.
“So,” Fwhip asks, the two of them walking back to their chambers for the night a little earlier than normal, shoulders almost bumping as they do so. But not quite brushing yet. “Why’d you want to be a knight?”
Jimmy hummed thoughtfully, as if he had to consider his words before answering. “Well, my sister always protected me. Did things women aren’t supposed to do so she could do it. I wanna repay her for all that, and do the protecting this time.”
“Doesn’t she have a husband for that?” Fwhip asks, not meaning to sound condescending when he does. He is just asking out of curiosity, nothing more and nothing less. He thinks Jimmy’s sister is a lot like Gem, actually, in some ways at least. Which is a pretty admirable quality, if you asked him specifically. Other men probably wouldn’t think so.
“Yeah, but he doesn’t mind. He actually wanted me to be a knight.” Jimmy says with a shrug. If his family encouraged the avian’s choices to be a protector, then that was good. He was glad his friend had such a supportive family, in contrast to his own….less encouraging ones.
The blonde fixed his wide, curious eyes on his companion when his story was over. He tried not to feel too awkward and observed under it. “So, why’d you join?”
“Well, I really wanted to invent things, but that didn’t work out.” Fwhip responded, a sad and almost wistful smile appearing on his face. “Now I’m just trying to help my sister become a wizard any way I can.” He feels like he needs to do that last bit, mainly because Gem wants to be a wizard so badly. And she’s smart enough for it too, and would be damn good at it. But their uncle, the one who had gained custody over them, would not let her. And she could not go against the man of the house. So Fwhip was doing all he could with the power being a knight gave him and his family members, all to help his sister's dream become real.
“Do you still invent?” Jimmy asks, his interest clearly piqued by that little detail.
Fwhip felt a small smile stretching across his face, sensing that they had moved even closer as they talked; their shoulders now truly brushing. “On occasion, yes.”
“I’d like to see one, one day.” The avian says sincerely. It takes Fwhip off guard a little, that someone actually wants to see his inventions. No one, other than Gem when she had the time, ever really seemed to care about his craft. Not like he did, anyways, or at all.
“Well, okay then. Just be prepared to wait a while.” The dragon smiled, hoping the amount of joy he felt was reflected in his gaze. “I don't get much time to myself you know.”
“I know!” The blonde hums, still fixing him with a smile that never seems to disappear and wide brown eyes. Ones almost like a baby birds or cows. Fwhip felt bad, that he couldn’t show Jimmy something he so clearly wanted to see. But that smile and those eyes made him feel like everything would be okay, and that he could take all the time in the world, and the blonde would still be waiting for him.
He wished Jimmy would look at him like that more often…
______________________________________
Not even a week later, Fwhip has a small little thing to show his trainee. Maybe the others' interest in his hobby had been his one motivator. Maybe he really, really wanted to impress the blonde. Whatever the reason, his first project in a while was done, and he had someone to show it off too.
It’s pretty late in the day when he musters up the courage to go and tell Jimmy. So the ginger finds himself knocking on the avian’s door, not sure if he’s even in there. For all he knows, his fellow knight could be Lord knows where in town right now, doing who knows what. Maybe he’s not even in his room, maybe Fwhip just knocked on an empty door and looks stupid-
To his mild surprise, Jimmy does in fact open the door. The avian looks understandably surprised to see him, but happy at the same time. “Oh, hi Fwhip!” He says, and the dragon thinks that smile could light up the whole world if it tried. “Do you need something?”
“Yes, actually, I have something to show you!” He exclaims, hoping he doesn;t sound as anxious as he feels, that his heart isn’t beating loud enough to be heard by the other. “I um, left it in my room though.”
Jimmy’s smile doesn’t waver, even as he steps out into the hallway, and shuts the bedroom door behind them. Fwhip tries to ignore how close they’re standing now, and any urge to do anything. “That's fine! I don’t mind walking over.” “Good, good. C’mon then.” The ginger mumbles, and begins to lead Jimmy towards his bedroom. It’s a decently long walk, but the avian relatively knows the way. He didn’t really need to be led there, but the avian lets himself be led anyway. He seems happy to just be walking next to his friend…..happy to spend time with him. And Fwhip is happy to be around him too….way happier than he ever expected to be.
The comfortable silence between them is very loud, even with the dragon’s near constant overthinking of the situation. Of how he was leading the guy back to his bedroom to see something, and whatever implications that may have. He certainly could have phrased their initial conversation a lot better, that’s for sure, even if Jimmy wasn’t thinking of anything like that at all.
Safe to say, the dragon is very glad when he finally reaches his own bedroom door, and is able to lead his fellow knight inside. Jimmy follows him quietly, and takes a quick scan of the dark and rather brody bedroom before saying anything.
“Your room is really nice.” He compliments, looking at the small sword and dagger collection hanging on the dragon’s wall. A collection he hopes to expand very soon.
“Thanks.” Fwhip mumbles, feeling himself smile like an idiot at such a small thing. He found he did that a lot around Jimmy, actually, smile at all the small and untimely meaningless things he did; like the ginger was starstruck or something stupid like that.
“...What did you want me to see?” Jimmy hums, glancing around the room curiously, as if he could find it by doing just that. As if a gift would be left out in the open like that. The silly birdie.
“I, um, I made an invention to show you, actually.” Fwhip says, moving over to the nightstand beside his bed. He pulls the small contraption he’s made out from the drawer, it’s temporary hiding place since the device had been done. He places it down, and then blocks the nightstand with his body. So there can be a grand reveal, of course. All his inventions deserve one, no matter how big or how small they may be, or whatever purpose they serve. They are made by him , after all.
“Really!?” Jimmy gasps, sounding much more excited than he had been before. Fwhip thinks all of this is worth it so far, just because he got to see the blonde’s eyes light up and sparkle all pretty like.
“Yep! Made it just for you, actually.” Fwhip said, feeling a light flush start to creep up his face. For whatever reason. After a small pause, he added onto the statement. “Plus it felt good to use my hands again.”
“Oh!” Jimmy exclaimed, sounding surprised yet also touched. Like no one’s ever done something like this for him, like this is a special occurrence. Fwhip briefly wonders if he should be making even more trinkets after this. “That’s really sweet!”
“Don’t mention it.” He muttered, the tips of his ears now dusted in pink. Which is strange, the knight is usually not an easy man to fluster. “Erm, here it is.” He moves away from the nightstand, so Jimmy can see his gift. He’s…still nervous if the other will like it or not, and quickly prepares himself for the incoming possible rejection.
Jimmy looks at the thing, a small creation that is only able to spin and move, his eyes wide. “Fwhip this is really impressive!” He squeaks, bending down slightly so he can properly test the thing. The avian’s eyes are full of wonder as he watches it spin, and walk a few inches across the wooden table. Fwhip thinks that he’s never looked cuter than he does right now.
“It’s just a small little thing-” He mumbles, not really seeing any need for such fanfare. He would have made something much better, if he had access to more materials, and the dragon knows it. His friend however, apparently thinks otherwise.
“It’s still really good!” Jimmy insists, sounds so…so happy as he looks at the thing. So happy and genuine, like this is the best thing he’s ever been gifted, and will ever be. Like that dumb little invention means the whole world to him. “I love it, thank you “ His last words are a lot softer, warmer, and the ginger thinks he melts a bit upon hearing them.
“Your welcome..” Fwhip mumbles, feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. He watches Jimmy mess with the creation made just for him, and knows that all this was worth it. All the anxiety and awkwardness is worth it if he gets to see this man happy.
______________________________________
Not even a week later, the two of them have another big moment. Like, really big, bigger than even the little invention stunt. The biggest and most impactful one to happen between them ever in their lives, probably.
It happens at one of their next sparring and training sessions, right at the start of it. They don’t even train much that day, actually, because what happens sends both men into wildly different mindsets. And neither of them are the fighting kind.
They arrive at the training room together, then separate a little so they can slip the armor sets they have on. Like they do every time, during every teaching session. The training armor isn’t quite as heavy as the real stuff used in battle, so Fwhip finishes early, just like he does every time. The dragon waits for Jimmy to emerge, leaning his sword against the nearest wall as he does so, and is met with a familiar sight when his friend finally emerges back out into the main practice area.
The avian has his armor on a little incorrectly, probably having struggled putting it on around his wings again. It was pretty hard to get used to that, Fwhip knows that fact from personal experience. Even today he still has moments where he fails to do it properly, even if they are rather rare.
“Here,” Fwhip says kindly, taking a few steps closer. “Lemme fix your armor.”
“Okay.” Jimmy responds, letting the other knights approach him. Fwhip feels suddenly….anxious, maybe a little awkward as he reaches the avian, and goes to fix his armor. He thinks it's the thought of him and Jimmy touching that seems to, dare the ginger say, fluster him so much. Even though they’ve done this before, today is somehow different. Regardless, Fwhip does what he said he would, and adjusts his friend's armor.
He thinks the avian’s breath hitches when he adjusts the breastplate around his wings, and wonders if they both feel the same about this. He puts the pauldrons in their proper places as well, and tries not to think about the eyes that are curiously watching him. Fwhip feels himself flush, and doesn’t meet Jimmy’s gaze when he goes to fix the crooked helmet.
“Let’s get started.” He says, moving away. The dragon walks back across the room, going to grab his sword for where he left it. It’s better to start this training now, in his opinion, before the day gets even more awkward. There’s a small mumble of agreement, and when he turns back around the blonde seems to be acting normal. He already has his sword ready, too.
“En garde!” Jimmy says, pointing the sword out towards him and his voice echoing across the room slightly.. There’s a stupid little smile on his face, one that Fwhip finds secret endearing. Only secretly though.
“That's for fencing, not knights.” The ginger snorts in amusement, lifting his own sword up in response. He feels like this session will be an especially good one today.
“Close enough innit?” Jimmy shrugs, already watching the other man's every movement. Just like he had been instructed to.
Fwhip snorts again, charging forward to make the first move of their sparring session. “I guess. Except in fencing you're not supposed to impale someone.”
“Like I said, close enough!” Jimmy yelled back, dodging his blow with ease. Because that was an easy move to dodge on purpose. Fwhip wasn’t one to waste all his good moves early on, after all. He put on a show when he fought, especially in these training sessions.
Especially for Jimmy.
The spar goes a lot like they normally do. The two men are evenly matched, while the ginger slips in lessons and advice between banter and kicking his trainee’s ass. Though today something in the air feels different, and Fwhip can not pinpoint why. Maybe it is from their strange tensions from earlier, maybe it is from something else. Regardless, the dragon doesn’t have time to focus on that. Jimmy had just gotten a great move in, actually managing to strike at his armor and make the metal clash. He took a step back in momentary surprise at that, a pleased grin starting to stretch across his features.
“You’re getting good at this!” Fwhip says, feeling a bead of sweat drip down his brow. His student has shown a lot of improvement in the four months they'd been working together. He's pretty impressed by it, and incredibly proud.
Jimmy grins, clearly pleased by the praise, and takes another stab at him. “Good enough to beat you?”
The ginger seems to consider it for a moment, blocking the attack again. “Hm, fat chance!” He exclaims, and manages to successfully unbalance his opponent. It’s the first time he’s been able to do so in a while, and triumph floods him as Jimmy stumbles.
But the avian is skilled now, and knows not to let an enemy get him helpless on the ground, especially if he lands painfully on his wings. Something Fwhip had taught him early on. So instead of just falling, he kicks his leg out. The metal of their armor collides with clashing sound, and Fwhip makes a sound of surprise as he too is unbalanced and sent tumbling downwards with his trainee.
He lands with an oof , catching himself on his hands. Jimmy makes sure the fall is not too hard on his back, just like he had been taught, and hits the ground under the ginger with a similar grunting sound. Fwhip blinks down, flustered as he realizes what pose they have ended up in. Jimmy is pinned under him, their bodies pressing together in multiple points, and their faces closer than they have ever been. It’s quite the breathtaking situation, if he has to be honest.
Lovely brown eyes stare back up at him, and the dragon thinks he’s going to die .
“Hey.” Fwhip mutters, very aware of the position they’re now in. And how horrible it would be if someone walked in. Two men are not supposed to be.… posed like this. Especially not ones of their status.
“Hey..” Jimmy whispers back, his eyes darting around the ginger's face wildly, like he doesn’t know where to rest them. “Pretty close there aren’t you?”
“Heh, yeah…” The dragon mutters, feeling like something is pulling him downwards. Like he wants to connect the admittedly small gap between them. The rest of him screams not to, that the action is wrong, that he has been told not to. That it is sinful.
“Is it wrong for me..” Jimmy mutters softly, the same internal turmoil clearly flashing across his face. Fwhip is glad they're on the same page about that, at least. “...To want to do something more right now?”
“I’m not sure…”  He says, seeing how they are now just inches apart. The part of him that says not to is very loud, but the desire and want is louder. It’s stronger and telling him to get it over with already. Yet he is still hesitant. “I think I want it too.”
Thankfully, Jimmy makes the decision for him. “Say no and I’ll stop.” He mutters, and finally brings their lips together. The feeling is magical, like nothing he’s ever experienced. The voices in Fwhip’s head finally quiet, and all he can focus on after a second is the way Jimmy lips moves against his, and the way an armored hand holds his cheeks as gently as possible and keeps him there.
There is no saying no, there is no stopping. Even when the two men finally pull away, Fwhip just wants more. He wants to give into his desires oh so badly. Thankfully, the same look is reflected in the avian’s eyes, and it’s not long before he’s fully pressing the birdie to the ground hungrily. Though he still waits for his partner to initiate their next series of kisses.
Jimmy leans up to kiss him again, more passionate this time. Fwhip keens into it, letting himself get lost in the feeling and the taste of it all for just a few moments. Lord he had wanted this so bad, and for so many months too. Their lips connect again and again and again, until both of the knights are panting and breathless and getting far too heated for the near full sets of armor they are both wearing.
They pull away after what feels like an eternity, and go to slip their armor off. Fwhip finds his eyes trained on Jimmy the whole time, unable to look away. He knows he’s not quite satfisted that urge in him yet, to kiss his friend stupid. So when they are back in their normal clothes, he is quick to press Jimmy into the seat in the changing room, and resume their earlier activities.
Fwhip quietly connects their lips again, shifting so he is in Jimmy’s lap. The avian lets him, doing so almost happily. The ginger really hopes the door is locked behind them. Because he doesn’t want to just feel the kiss this time, he wants to feel everything. The flush of their bodies against each other, the warmth his friends always emits, the way Jimmy’s hands feel when they hold his cheeks and the back of his neck, the way wings envelop him softly. Everything .
They break apart and then connect again, leaving no space between them. While Fwhip focuses on the feeling of the kiss, and the joy he gets from it; Jimmy focuses on advancing this. Focuses on getting handsy. Slim fingers ghost over the velvet of his wings, and Fwhip gasps into his friend's mouth. So Jimmy keeps doing that, keeps massaging his wings, until the other knight is basically putty in his hands.
They pull away after what feels like an eternity, both men panting heavily. Before Fwhip is able to leave the avians lap, a small hickey is quickly sucked into the side of his neck. Right where all his clothes will cover it, thankfully. He shivers at the feeling of it, and misses Jimmy’s lips when they leave his skin for the final time that day.
The walk back to their chambers is the closest they’ve ever had. Fwhip is glad it's dark out already, and no one is around, because their hands are intertwined and they almost kiss about five different times. Jimmy bids him a sickly sweet goodbye when they get to his door, and the ginger cannot help but swoon over it.
Back in his own quarters, Fwhip finds himself pacing.
What they had just done today was dangerous, for both of them. He’d never seen anyone punished for this type of behavior himself, but he knew what the punishments could be. It was anything from being disgraced to burning, depending on what act you partook in. Fwhip’s pretty sure what they had just done wouldn’t get them the worst punishment, which was for sodomy, but it wouldn;t get them the easiest one either. If they didn’t just charge them with sodomy anyways. And their money couldn’t buy them out of it either, if anyone ever knew.
And no one will ever, ever no. For his sake, but mainly for Jimmy’s. He’ll say he forced the avian into it, if anyone ever asks. He will gladly burn at the stake for the sake of his friend.
Maybe being so ready to die for Jimmy makes them more than just friends….maybe it’s nothing, maybe no one will ever find out. Fwhip sighs, and assumes he’ll just have to find out where this goes.
______________________________________
Fwhip does not want to attend church the following Sunday after the kiss. But he has to, for it’s illegal to skip the service. And he likes having a good name amongst his peers and fellow townsfolk. And the lot that choose to not attend church do not have a very good reputation, not in the slightest.
The statue of their god, Aeor, looks down at him as he walks past it. He feels like scorn and disappointment is shining in those stone eyes. Fwhip talks to his elven friend, one of the custodians and son of the pastor, and feels like he is not worthy to do so. He wonders what his blue-haired friend would say if he knew what the dragon had done just days before.
He attends the service and feels like an imposter. Like he is not supposed to be in that building. He feels his sins crawling up his spine, weighing him down so much that he might as well sink through the floor. Or, well, things he was taught were sins.
Jimmy made him nothing but happy so far, and that couldn’t be a sin. Aeor would never punish someone for happiness!
Would he…?
Instead of pondering that thought, Fwhip tries to focus on what the preacher is saying. When that doesn’t work, he starts to sneakily glance around the room. He needs something else to focus on, something that isn’t himself and his bone crushing guilt that never seems to waver, no matter how he tries to rationalize it.
And well, his eyes land on Jimmy, sitting with his family across the building and Fwhip can’t help but admire him. And how pretty he looks; how the sunlight falls on his face through the stained glass windows and makes him look almost ethereal. Like he was sent from Heaven himself. Honestly, the avian might as well be, with just… everything about him and how he is.
They have been distant for the past few days, even at the makeup training session the day after they kissed. It seems neither men knew how to breach the topic, or be close like they used to be once more. If the ginger had been left desperately longing for the touch of another man again, well that was between him and Aeor.
Yet Jimmy looks over, able to feel his staring, and it is that moment when they become close again. The avian meets his eyes with a small, hopefully smile, and the dragon just knows he can’t let this one get away from him. Certainly not over a kiss, either.
After the church service, Fwhip finds himself in Jimmy’s room for the first time. He knows how he got there, but everything feels like a blur. All he remembers is walking back home with the avian, and as soon as they were alone, Jimmy had grabbed his hand and hidden them away where no one else could see.
When their lips connect once again, it doesn’t feel wrong. It feels so, so right. Maybe a little distasteful, for doing something like this on the sabbath day, but still so right. So much so that they kiss again and again and again, and do so all night long for all Fwhip knows.
When the two knights wake up next to each other the next morning, they both silently agree not to talk about it. The ginger just slinks back into his own chambers, guilt and joy both running through him rather violently, and they don’t bring it up for a good while after that.
He doesn’t think either of them know how to.
______________________________________
They finally have a conversation about it a few weeks later, after yet another training session, when they are both tired from a long day's work. Jimmy is getting close to the end of his lessons, and Fwhip wonders what will happen when that day comes; and if they will ever see each other afterwards. He wonders what he’ll do with himself if it comes to that. (Probably nothing good, if the ginger is being honest.)
The two of them are in Jimmy’s chambers today, lounging on the bed together. The blonde lays next to him, a hand resting on Fwhip’s thigh as he reads. The ginger is doing his own thing next to him. Well, he’s trying too. He hadn’t been in the right headspace to tinker like he wanted too, so Fwhip had been able to do nothing but let his mind wander. And the knight had  a lot of troubling thoughts he was trying to avoid pondering on.
There’s a lot of silence and unanswered questions between them. Things they want to say, but neither will. The dragon feels like he’s gonna suffocate in the silence if he sits in it for any longer.
“You know we shouldn’t be doing this , right?” Fwhip muttered, glancing down at the hand idly resting on his thigh. Jimmy turned, so they were no longer laying so close. Instead he sits up, so the two of them are face to face once more. For once, a smile is not on his friend’s face, and it bothers him like nothing else.
“I know.” The avian said carefully, now looking him in the eyes, as if he were staring directly into Fwhip’s soul. It was almost like he was scared of where this was going. “I know they say it is a sin.”
“Then why-” Fwhip starts, but whatever he is about to say is lost to time as Jimmy quickly cuts him off. It’s probably a good thing he did, the ginger was probably just going to hurt him with whatever statement he wanted to make. Whatever dumb question he wanted to ask.
“Because it doesn’t feel sinful to me, it feels right.” The avian says, softly cupping the other's face in his hands. Like he was the most precious thing in the world. “And because I love you.”
Fwhip feels himself start to choke. He feels like he’s being broken into a million pieces, all with three little words. “Jimmy…”
“I don’t care what they say, because I love you. I want to be with you.” Jimmy says, sounding so sure of himself. The look he fixes the ginger with next is sweet, enough so to melt even the toughest of hearts. “Do you….want that?”
“Yes, I want that.” Fwhip nods, finding he had to think for a minute, to consider everything and all the consequences of this. Even though the answer should’ve been the most obvious thing in the whole wide world. “I want you.”
“Then you can have me.” Jimmy mumbles, and moves their faces closer. Fwhip wants to, but he can’t kiss him, not yet anyways. He needs to ask something first.
“This’ll have to be….secretive, you know that, right?” He mumbles, failing to hold back a smile when their noses bump, and just Jimmy in general, honestly. The avian is far too cute for his own good, especially when he’s being all nice and sweet like this.
“It’s like I said, I don’t care.” Jimmy repeated, moving so he could run a few fingers through his friend’s rather messed up hair. The dragon felt himself lean into the touch without a second thought. “If I can be with you I don’t care.”
That is enough for him, and Fwhip feels like he can close the gap between them now. Jimmy returns the kiss with a pleased sigh, like he’s been wanting this for weeks now. Realistically, he probably has. Though this kiss tastes sweeter than all the ones they’ve had before, and Fwhip finds himself relishing in it more than ever.
“I love you, too.” He mutters against the other’s lips. Jimmy smiles, mutters something about them being partners now, and kisses him sweetly again. Fwhip kisses him back, and knows that he would rather be in no other place than this right now.
______________________________________
The years go on, slowly but surely. Everything around them changes, but Fwhip and Jimmy do not. They work closely together, even after Jimmy’s training is over. They keep meeting in secret, having late night talks, and seeing each other in ways most people would be appalled by. Not that Fwhip cares much, as long as he can keep his little birdie close to him, he will be okay.
Eventually, they are forced to marry. It keeps the rumors at bay, and keeps them in better standing with people. Not that the women they marry are interested in anything else, the two only doing so to save themselves from social disgrace and please their fathers. Jimmy is married to a sweet fae girl with brunette hair, and a fondness for pink and flowers. She seems more interested in another man with an affinity for thievery, plus a short and sweet gnome woman she often had tea with. Not that Jimmy minded much. The two of them were more friends than a couple, which worked perfectly well and fine.
Fwhip was wed to a blonde maiden with his shared love for inventing, and who was as quiet and aloof as he was sometimes. They bonded over their shared love of creation, and how their passions had been shoved to the side seemingly forever. And that was that. She didn’t seem very interested in the romance department period, no matter what gender would approach her with a cheeky flirt. Each couple lived in relative peace, the only criticism being the lack of children, something that gradually slowed as they all aged.
Jimmy and Fwhip remained close, very close through the years. And since their wives and them preferred to be separate rather than together, it gave the little couple a lot of time to waste in each other's company. They spent more nights in each other's beds than their own, cuddles exchanged and lips pressed together softly, a secret for them only to keep. Each knight wouldn’t have it any other way.
The two of them will go down in history as some of the best, most skilled knights the kingdom has ever hosted. A mentor and his trainee, who he did a splendid job with. Some splendid he went on to be the top recruitment and training officer, and impressed every other night that had once been socially above him. The best of friends, Fwhip and Jimmy were called, nothing less and certainly nothing more. No matter what anyone at the time will think otherwise.
And as the scholars write that, they will lie away from anyone the church binds them to, content as they share easy kisses over drinks and loving touches when they wake next to each other, and when they share the intensity and excitement of all those knightly duties.
Something for only them, to share, and only them to hold, history be damned. A love that will be carved into nothing but the gifts and looks they exchange, for no one else's eye but their own. A love that history will love to hate, but will taste sweeter than anything else in the world.
Something precious only for them to know, as it was always meant to be.

Resurrection ‘F’ rewrite/tweaking
Written March 15, 2022 (clearing drafts lol)
Noticed that this is generally regarded as the worst of the Super era movies and the worst arc in Dragon Ball Super
So I wanted to see if a few tweaks would make it more enjoyable and didn’t know where to share it so just thought to post it here
It'll mostly be a mix of the movie version and the anime version as I don’t want to go too fanfictiony
Notes, changes, and mergers
Frieza force reviving Frieza with the dragon balls stays the same
This would have Frieza still train with Tagoma like in the anime so he can be stronger than Goku
Tumblr media
The anime version of Goku and Vegeta being in that void to acquire God energy would happen during the months Frieza was training to parallel both sides getting stronger
Tumblr media
By the time Frieza and his army head to earth Goku and Vegeta are still training with Whis
Then the regular sparring we see them do with Whis would be during the invasion like the movie
For the invasion Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Master Roshi, and Jaco are the initial fighters like before
Tumblr media
In the anime version if this story I would add that Chiaotzu would be left behind similar to how Tien said and Gohan would mention that Goten and Trunks don’t know what’s going either as they’re not ready/mature
And I would add a small thing where Chiaotzu and Videl would monitor the boys and when the fighting starts instead of just flying away like in the anime they would be met with some resistance by the pair
So the Goten Trunks Chiaotzu Videl would be a subplot to make the arc longer
Android 18 just didn’t want to join lol plus had to watch her daughter
The battle against the army happens like the movie (animation and pacing etc) so without much of the Krillin afraid subplot but still elements of it as it added some depth to his character and they divide to better their odds
And a small thing of maybe Gohan being more in the lead to help build his role as the third strongest fighter of the Z fighters similar to the manga version of him later and giving him a Sanji role to Goku and Vegeta’s Luffy and Zoro
Army fight
As it goes on Roshi gets tired first like usual and a fun addition would be to have Yamcha come and assist saying sorry he's late he was further away than the others
Tumblr media
Adding Yamcha as I don’t buy he’s that much below Krillin and Tien in power especially when Roshi was here plus it would give him a hero moment but he can still be played with for laughs as he wouldn’t last much better than Krillin and Tien
Tumblr media
Krillin getting tired as well stays here with Gohan assisting like in the movie
But when they've beaten the fodder they can't afford to use Senzu beans for stamina as they don't have that many to give
Let’s say they have about 4 beans and there’s currently have 7 fighters and Bulma spectating
This would leave Sisami, Tagoma, and Frieza (with Sorbet) as the main fighters left
Lieutenants
They sense the other two energy and get the range that Sisami is 3rd strongest and Tagoma 2nd to Frieza’s 1st
Tien elects himself to take on Sisami
Piccolo does the same with Tagoma
Gohan was going to help fight but someone like Roshi suggests to save himself for Frieza and recovers stamina just in case Goku and Vegeta don’t make it in time
Meanwhile in the anime version Chiaotzu is using his psychic powers to slow down Goten and Trunks which allows Videl to fight them on a more even playing field to force them to not go join the fight and it works as Videl is a better martial artist than the boys individually, eventually Chiaotzu can’t hold them and they power through and beat Videl and get what they want and start to head to the fight
Piccolo is doing fine with Tagoma, Tagoma is stronger than Piccolo but nothing too concerning at first as Piccolo technique and physiology keeps him in the fight
But Tien was doing ok with Sisami at first but starts to get overwhelmed which leads to Krillin and Yamcha helping Tien making it 3 on 1
A combo attack with the three maybe even Roshi assisting in a turtle school Kamehameha let’s Tien land the knock out blow
(Maybe new technique, maybe TriBeam, doesn’t matter too much but he’s known to have something to show off with)
Piccolo starts to get overwhelmed as the humans defeat Sisami then Goten and Trunks come and after begging to Bulma and Gohan they get the ok to fight as long as they’re fused
In the anime Gotenks joins and with SSJ3 they tip the scales in their favor
Seeing Super Saiyan starts to irritate Frieza
They do a charging volley ball fist combo assisted by Tien and Piccolo (Tien passes, Piccolo sets, Gotenks spikes) to land a big hit on Tagoma
But as the kids get too overconfident by celebrating early Tagoma tries a surprise attack but Gohan punches him similar to how he defeated Sisami in the movie and does the mercy thing as he’s not going to kill them that gets Frieza upset like in the anime version
Tumblr media
in the movie version Gohan would save Piccolo by going Super Saiyan getting a similar reaction from Frieza when he defeats Tagoma
Frieza Round 1
Frieza then gets out and ready to fight and Gohan gets ready as Goku and Vegeta aren’t here still
They’re still sparring and get closer to when Whis is aware as his staff blinks but gets distracted by Beerus like usual
Super Saiyan Gohan against First Form Frieza for a little and Piccolo and others comment that it would be a lot to reach super saiyan 2 for Gohan who hasn’t trained much
Then as Frieza is entertained he transformed into his final/4th form Gohan fights him and struggles immensely
As he gets more frustrated Gohan reaches Super Saiyan 2 through his rage and does a better job than before but still not winning as Frieza is still stronger with him
Tumblr media
Because of later in Super I wouldn't have him go Ultimate here as it eventually becomes his God equivalent so he'll cap out at SSJ2 here
And just in time Bulma starts to get in touch with Whis and demands Goku and Vegeta and to get there via need instant transmission
Piccolo comments on how Gohan needs to go all out to have their power stand out
And as they all power up, Gohan on his last legs ready to go down fighting, Goku and Vegeta show up via instant transmission
Frieza Round 2
As Gohan passes out Goku says he’s proud and etc and then the main fight begins
Tumblr media
And to shake things up for my version Vegeta fights Frieza revealing super saiyan blue
And the two fight evenly for awhile but Vegeta dominates him like original as time goes
youtube
(This truly doesn’t matter as I know marketing and such wise Goku needs to fight Frieza but I don’t really care as we’ve seen Goku fight a little with the sparring)
The same time thing happened with Frieza blowing up the planet
Maybe iIn this version since Vegeta doesn’t let his guard down like Goku, maybe he was so ‘tense’ and arrogant that as he was focusing on Frieza he ignored Sorbet (a weakling) who shoots someone like Bulma or Trunks or even someone like Yamcha which distracts him long enough for Frieza to blow the planet up
Whis rewinds time as even though it feels cheap and lowers the stakes and etc. I do think it adds some consequence as Frieza did win and Goku and Vegeta didn’t learn their lesson
Again can mostly stay the same as the movie
Frieza Round 3
Then Goku comes in and steals the win lol
This can be like Dragon Ball Z Kakarot where it was a beautiful beat down and gives Goku a more pretty win as well as giving the required Goku vs Frieza
youtube
Around 3:53
And the movie ends like canon
Summary
So essentially I included more characters to give characters time to shine
Jaco and Roshi shine against the army
Krillin Tien and Yamcha against Sisami
Piccolo (and Gotenks(Goten and Trunks) in the anime version) against Tagoma with Gohan getting a win (and the boys being comedic relief)
Videl and Chiaotzu do something lol and add a C plot temporarily with Goten and Trunks
And Gohan shines as he's the strongest fighter on Earth and showcases how strong Frieza is before Goku and Vegeta shows as it establishes power levels better
Like everyone is stronger than the army even Roshi and Jaco
Sisami is a little above whatever you would give the humans power level is (people say named Frieza, just stronger than the Ginyu force but a little less than Frieza, even saw that some say they're around Cell level by the time of Super as they have to keep being somewhat relative to Goku)
Piccolo and Gotenks are stronger than Sisami and their SSJ3 level Tagoma is slightly stronger than that and then Gohan as a Super Saiyan is stronger than/or on par with that
(Went more for the movie version of Gohan as that version was by far the strongest and would need to keep him above Gotenks)
But Gohan SSJ is below first form Frieza, SSJ2 is more on par maybe above, final form is above that and ultimate above/on par with that, and Golden Frieza above that
I think it adds the seesaw in power levels that sagas like Saiyan, Frieza, and Cell sagas do just in a much shorter time
As it was back and forth between the hero's being stronger and the opposition being stronger in this version
Vs everyone being weaker than Frieza and everyone is stronger than the army except for one with Gohan being able to challenge that lone exception depending on the version
Plus it kinda gives off the impression that Gohan might be able to win as he’s the one to keep breaking his limits to contend with Frieza and feel relief when Goku and Vegeta get there as he just couldn’t quite do it.
So yeah I think power wise it doesn’t affect universe 6 tournament too much as Gohan wouldn’t be there
Future Trunks arc is unaffected
And for tournament of power, Gohan can still have to regain the ultimate power or at least train it now, maybe they wouldn’t skip Yamcha so blatantly but could just write that he never got a chance for ask or for them to ask him
Krillin Tien and Roshi show how strong they are relative to the others before they go on a long break as are still not on the saiyans and Piccolos level
Power level scale
SSJB Goku, SSJB Vegeta, Golden Frieza
Ultimate Gohan, Frieza (4th Form)
SSJ2 Gohan, Frieza (1st Form), SSJ Gohan, SSJ3 Gotenks
Tagoma, Piccolo, Gotenks SSJ, Gotenks
Sisami, Tien, Krillin, Yamcha
Roshi, Jaco, Chiaotzu, Videl
Frieza Soldiers
Update July 23, 2024
Did do some quick typo fixes and had to replace the kakarot gameplay as the original link I had was dead
Would sta over time and hearing other say it
I think my small change rewrites would be that SSJB would just SS God and save blue for the Universe 6 tournament
But I get that would go against selling new toys and such but seeing SSG Vegeta would be worth it
Again heard many DBZ YouTubers say this but I did have similar thoughts years ago but don't want to be accused of stealing lol

So, what is your Transformers Fan Continuity like? 🤩
Ok ok so Neo:U is a next gen au in a sense? Many fankids bc i adore sparklings and odd crackships that ended up weirdly wholesome. I made it with my bf @official-big-gay-fish
Basically in Neo:U Megatron as the Decepticon leader never lost his way at least in the sense no violence he comitted was against his fellow con, his fight was ALWAYS to liberate the lower caste and cold forged. When he realized the Autobots who in this AU are spear headed by the Senate ( Optimus and those who follow him are a splinter faction of the original Senate controlled Autobots who want to prevent either side from destroying Cybertron and end things peacefully) were going to win he boarded every con the nemesis and left Cybertron. (This is a whole other thing i can get into) Optimus determined to find his old friend travels the starts with his splinter group of Autobots to find them upon discovering the Senate intends to either kill or reprogram every con the capture. Eventually they find Earth and due to low energon reserves they stay there for a while and ironically never interact with humans lmao.
Anyways the main crux of the story is Hot Rod is appointed head of the Survey Corps. where and his group scour Earth for resources and to learn about humans to live in peace with them in the future. Everything’s going great until they run into a group of cons.
Hot Rod being the person he is and not wanting to lose his freedom on Earth convinces everyone to stay quiet. This leads to shenanigans and multiple accidental interactions with the con kids. Especially since this au they use holoavatars a lot. Overtime to keep the peace and keep everyone safe and maybe a bit of curiosity they all truce which turns into friendship. a lot of the story revolves around these kids uncovering their past of a war ravaged planet, who their parents were during the war, coming to terms with trauma (especially generational oop), and finally ending said war. Also uhhhhh oops sorry kids you may be buddies now but hey haha whats that in sky? On no its scourge and the terrorcons.
You get a lot of high tension awkward interactions with the autobot and con kids! I say kids but they’re basically robot 25 which is absolutely baby to the old bots.
Autobots are
Hotrod (this hot rod is a MTO but my god no one will ever know outside Optimus and Ratchet) your typical Hot Rod stuff, big loud jokester who never takes anything seriously and hates himself. He has a Situationship with Magnus that he doesn’t wanna think about.
Strongarm- Shes Jazz and Prowls kid in this universe, looks like Jazz unfortunately takes after Prowl. A lot of her story is unpacking the beliefs Prowl instilled into her. She’s socially awkward and sucks at reading the room, but is very into music and singing. She also finds out she loves fighting and spars with everyone!!
Cloudchaser- One of my OCs, was found in the ruins of Vos as a sparkling by Wheeljack and Ratchet. They tried to find her family but do to what happened to Vos there’s very few flyers in the Autobots making trying to find them dangerous. So now she has a mad scientist grandpa and a grouchy grandpa. Clouds a very bubbly, chatty person. She’s the autobot gossip, if its a rumor Cloud knows it. If its sensitive info Cloud knows it. Cloud is super competent but she hides that behind a hyper egotistical, sassy, bratty mask because she has mixed feelings on being an autobot. Shes Hot Rods amica, and one of the only ones who knows hes a MTO.
Starpursuit- My bfs fankid of Elita-1 and Arcee. They’re a motorcycle and use they/she/he. Pursuits the type if they don’t respect you she’s not listening, they got that bullheadedness in them. Hes definitely a bit obsessive and intense at times, they get bored easy and love fun so shes easily swayed into Hot Rod shenanigans. Shes got the worlds biggest crush on Strongarm.
Metamelody- Another fankid of the bf. He’s Ironhide and Chromias! Hes a big ass van, almost as big as his sire. Mel is extremely soft and sweet. He’s shy, and despite being a ruler follower like Strongarm is easily pulled into shenanigans. He joined Hot Rods crew because he doesn’t know how to tell Ironhide he doesn’t want to go into weapons op, he wants to be a musician.
Decepticon kids
Nitrobreak-BFs oc whose the kid of my characters Cursor and Blackdirge. Nitrobreak is Hot Rods foil, he as zero worrys or doubts about his position as his crews leader. He’s confident and wears it well and it frustrates Hot Rod. Hes well loved amongst his faction and has a very healthy understanding of who he is. His challenge in life is all external vs Hot Rods internal struggles. They hate each other at the start
Blacklight- BFs oc, unfortunately Shockwaves child. If you acknowledge this or bring it up Blacklight will maul you. They were conceived when Shockwave was still a senator, and came into life during the war but because Neonstreak their carrier is a NAIL they never experienced it. They have complicated feelings about Shockwave, they’re scared of him but they love him, they’re obsessed with him, they want to understand him and work with him in energon conservation. They ARE daddy issues.
Dragstrip- Swindles kid because I made a joke they look similar and it somehow stuck. Devious trickster bastard, will sell everything and everyone for a single cornchip minus his carrier.
Wildbreak- u kno the joke wilbreak rid15 is breakdown and knockouts kid? Yeah yeah 100% hes still the awkward shy easily started person hes shown as in rid15. He wants to be a nurse and studies under his sire!
Jetlag- remember when I mentioned some of the ships that were crack ships that became canon? Yeah Jetlags the result of one of those crackships. Hes Skywarp and Thunderhoofs kid. Hes a seeker, but has fuck all antlers and hoof peedes instead of heels. He’s a bit stupid, and continuously bonks people with his antlers by accident. He has a crush on Blacklight but never wants to admit it because he knows Blacklights so scared of becoming Shockwave he doesn’t even want to attempt relationships.

So I read a good hundred plus chapters of my hero academia (maybe 200? Can’t remember if it’s even got 200 lol) and I liked it but just stopped reading it. But it’s kind of like Pokémon where I didn’t care for the story but the world itself is FASCINATING I think quirks are such a cool idea, and it’s fun to come up with some yourself
Like one quirk idea I had was one day when she was like 7 she was being picked on in the playground when these swords just fell from the sky, almost hitting her bullies, and one fell right into her hand, and she discovered that she had a psychic (don’t know if this is the term) link to these swords, but she still exerts energy controlling them, it’s just as if it’s extra limbs, it feels easy to wave around your arm but if you do it over and over eventually you’ll get tired, same thing with the swords. She has an odd number of swords, so an even number on each side acting like “wings” and then a “strong hand” like sword she’s most dextrous with (the one that originally fell into her hand). The swords can hold her up and can let her fly, but it is the same as carrying her body weight (plus seven or nine METAL SWORDS) so it’s not something she can just DO willy nilly.
Anyway, her hero name is Valkyrie and she has slots in the back of her armour to hold the base of the swords (making them act like wings) and a sheath for either all of the swords or just the “strong” sword.
I know it isn’t a typical quirk which are more biological and… scientifically explained, but who cares it’s my character idea and I think it’s cool.
I think it’d be a cool dynamic because it’s actually dangerous. She can’t exactly spar or practice with others because THEY’RE FUCKING FLYING SWORDS, I guess the average durability is higher, but they’re still dangerous, and as a child before she got them fully under control they would’ve been a real hazard.
I think the swords would have some level of senses, obviously not sight or anything but I think they’d at least be able to tell when they’re not in the immediate proximity of anything (so they won’t knock into or accidentally slice anyone or anything) and would feel pain, just obviously with a lot higher pain tolerance as they are metal swords. In my mind they are literally limbs that just happen to be psychically controlled swords.
She’d be a very well trained sword fighter (obviously), and she’d be clever and studious and rule following and all that, but also with a layer of social detachment, as having 7-ish flailing death sticks following you and only just being under control (they’d definitely be uncontrollable with intense emotions/stress) isn’t the greatest way to make friends, and she’d be slightly socially awkward already (hence being picked on as a child. Obviously no one picks on her now, because of the swords, but she’s still outcast). This would lead to her being strong of character and high and mighty at times, but I think she’s VERY nerdy about swords, and is also interested in fencing and other blades. She’d be an absolute geek once she’s on the subject of something she’s interested in LOL
You may notice I’ve been referring to her with pronouns this whole time. That is because I am awful with names and do not have one for her. Suggestions are welcome.
Anyway yeah this is the closest format I have to oc dumps since I can’t draw lmao
Oh but yeah both the sword breaking and reforging would be incredibly painful, I cannot stress enough they are like limbs so it would be like a limb being broken or being grafted on to. Not fun.

Hi! new reader here, can you possibly do a Top!Dom x Sub!Rhea ff? :D
Here is a list of headcanons/ maybe a drabble kind of. My friend is going to write a quick fic about it tomorrow. If you want to be tagged you can either ask in the comments or send another ask. This was out of our comfort zone and really fun so I wanted to post this as well as the fic.
Dom is a dramatic dom he lets Rhea appear to be the dominant because he knows it upsets people (especially his more traditional father and he’s trying to outgrow his father's crazy legendary status)
So everything is pre-planned and is part of her being a good sub (example when Rhea brutalizes him in RAW and carries him out to be seen by Rey). (he encourages her the entire time she is doing it.)
Dom is amazing at aftercare.
What do you think he does?
There are snack packs / care packs premade (like fifteen at a time) that he keeps in his go-bag. They started for the gym but he modified them. So like water, soft snacks, maybe Gatorade.
Extreme cuddling to the point of suffocating her with affection after. Sometimes he becomes a human starfish and literally smashes her with his weight, like a weighted blanket of warmth and cuddles.
Words of affirmation and affection - like pulling out pointed small compliments just for her.
Probably helping her redress or get into something comfortable for sleeping.
Rhea is devotedly obedient (Dom makes her feel like the most precious thing in the whole universe). Sometimes too obedient but Dom’s always there to make sure she’s not going too far with his request or in any danger.
They got into this relationship because she was insecure about her body and would be mean to others because of it. Dom realized this because it is the same way he acted when people would make fun of his weight as a teenager. Dom coincidentally starts working out at the same time as her.
Gradually he starts bringing things he’s noticed she forgets - water, workout towels, protein snacks, and sometimes even a change of clothes because once Rhea is in the zone, she’s got tunnel vision.
Rhea calls him out on it - she and whomever she’s maybe dating (Buddy, dick) are having problems, and she slowly starts talking to Dom about those problems as they work out.
Dom eventually manages to convince her he’s some sort of lost cause when it comes to travel (points out how frequently he misses flights, and his inability to keep a schedule - which are things he knows Rhea is good at), so she agrees to be his road partner.
The more they travel together, the more Dom learns the little things that make Rhea who she is, pretty soon he’s with her almost 24/7 and gently (but sternly) reminding her to take care of herself.
The inevitable break up with Buddy (dick) is what leads to Rhea begging to sleep in Dom’s room, which turns out to be a blessing in disguise because she’s even more perfect in his clothes and in his bed - so he ups the game when it comes to taking care of her.
Dom is super protective of Rhea, even though he knows she can take care of herself (she doesn’t always realize that).
Rhea totally has a cute collar with Mami or Rhea on it. Dealers choice. Maybe with cute little charms. Possibly little spikes that dangle? Cause she’s dangerous.
One hundred percent certain Dom is the kind of Dom to leave her horny for spite. Also, he probably likes to play with toys, and test new things out in Rhea who he knows can take a bit of brutality (see what I did there?)
Rhea likes bruises and scratches and even the blood - Dom isn’t so big on blood but he has no problem marking her up as his. Even if it means they get fined for a couple marks. They are the worst kept secret in the locker room.
When they spar or practice it’s pretty much no holds barred. They go hard and it’s practically foreplay but Dom’s the one calling the shots (example: if they are sparing Dom designs the workout, if they are running he decides how long, if they are doing something domestic it’s for both of them).
He does ask Rhea for input in all of this. She is the gym rat between them and he knows she has to work out at a certain level to retain what she has muscle wise.
Rental car torture - I mean sex - is pretty common.
As are quick scenes in arenas after tappings. The thrill of getting caught is too good - and Dom is super proud of his Rhea.

In Hanging Out what were some of the character's childhood like, and what did they do for fun, specifically Sonic's orphan childhood.
Oh man, that's a tricky question, because my logic is taking what canon establishes and moving mostly just forward in a different direction. Commenting on their childhoods feels weirdly wrong? If only because there's so many different angles I could take.
Sonic in particular feels "wrong" to get details for, but I like to think he actually was kind of bratty? And had a habit of being a bit of a vandal for fun, and playing "extreme soccer" with random objects, kicking them far and "catching" them like a mile away. But he hashis heart in the right place and got enough experience of breaking things and causing problems early on that he eventually shaped up into the hero we know now.
All the others after the cut!
Amy was likely a very... stand-alone child who was stuck with taking care of herself. She likely researched "spells" and forms of magic for fun, though she never likely found the best uses for it beyond summoning magic. I considered a plot point of her mom being an enigmatic figure who researched Little Planet, and that lead to Amy wanting to get into tarot, but I never got very far. I think she had minimal supervision and got a small amount of wealth from an inheritance and just made-do with that. Despite that, she still stuck with being kind and doing her best to support others.
Tails likely didn't do much in particular for fun besides tinkering. He got bullied for his tails, etc etc, all kinda predictable there.
Shadow... fanon kinda came clutch and already outlined enough details there. Raised by Maria and Gerald, probably did cute slice of life stuff on the ARK at first before everything went to shit. For fun, he probably liked board games in particular. Maybe pong.
Tikal beat the shit out of people for fun, but in a friendly sparring way. In her eyes as a child, fighting should be purely recreational, and conflict should be settled with words. Naturally some aspects of that perspective got warped with time.
Mike is an interesting one. He basically got a crude simulation copy-paste of Sonic's childhood, but instead of being an orphan, he "grew up" with Eggman, who instilled a lot of obedience training. Which evidently backfired pretty hard for Hangin Out to be as it is. He likely played games like chess with Eggman for "'fun"", but he actually just prefers flying, since it's the one thing the original Sonic could never do.
Buddy was a government experiment who was actually similar to Shadow and Metal in terms of how he was "raised", so he never really got to "have fun" with any activity. Eventually as an adult though, he pursued his main hobbies, sound engineering and headphone/music reviewing. He runs a channel like a bizarro version of dankpods, where all of his humor is extremely dry and he goes into great technical detail about whatever he comes across.
Zero had the most fucked up upbringing, and likely fucking. Played knife games with drug lords for fun. That's the kind of messiness we're dealing with. He did not have a good life.
Sandy didn't get to really have a "Childhood" but her early years of operation involved snooping around different locations for archaeology and intel. From there she developed a love for music, often DJing for fun in secret.
Jeff is kind of. In his formative years, already? And we already know his deal. He plays minecraft and Civ and SimCity for fun.
Rouge stole shit for fun.
OH and CHASEY how could i forget?? Chasey is a mess lol. Chasey, um. ate food as a chao? and then enjoyed. Playing dress up with Cream. Also enjoyed dancing as a young blob.

Ok who likes the idea of dad!Porter ??
That may have been rhetorical because I’m gonna blab about his daughter anyways 👍 this is the next instalment of me blabbing about my redacted next gen ocs!
- Her full name is Portia Solaire, William allowed her to have the last name of the House as she is Porter’s kid and therefore affiliated like he is
- She has a British accent, like her dad! And similar humour / personality to him
- We don’t know whether or not Porter’s maker was an old blood (Porter’s maker is mentioned in the official timeline but I don’t think it mentions how old he was?), so (for my headcanon about vampire children) I’m not sure if she’s turned by her own blood or if she asks to be turned / has to be turned to be saved when she’s 16 or so, but either way she becomes a vampire at around the same time as the other kids
- Porter taught her to fight from a very young age, initially being a fun bonding experience when she was young with a wooden sword, but now she can give him a run for his money, and manages to beat him around the age of 18-19
- Also, depending on the version of her that I’m talking about they’re nonbinary, they/she or they/them, but the one I currently will be including is she/they probably, so if you notice any inconsistencies it’s just because I imagine them / her in a couple different ways gender-wise
- She, like Adrian (Alexis’s son), receives a sword when she turns 16/17 and is out of bloodlust (as William gives each of his ‘grandkids’ a sword as a partially ceremonial thing and also because he wants them to be able to protect themselves), and he makes her a guard of his daughter (heir to the throne) Emilia.
- Together, her and Adrian can protect Emilia efficiently, as Adrian does defense and Portia does offense
- Portia is the more outspoken between her and Adrian, openly criticizing Emilia when she power trips a bit, leading to Emilia reprimanding her (not that it’s very effective)
- Portia also spars with Samuel, though is less unhinged about it than Adrian, and she’s the one that teaches Samuel to beat Porter when Emilia makes her plan to ascend to the throne with force
- Eventually, she, like her father, will become the next sword of the house, the weapon they point at their enemies to win. When Emilia ascends to the throne, through whatever means, she will replace Porter and take up that role in his stead
- Porter doesn’t like the idea of this, yet knows the inevitability of it, and so teaches her as best he can to do what he does.
This is all I have for now, I think! Hdksgdjs I’m kinda tired at work so I might have forgotten some stuff or not written this as well but I tried! Long story short, she’s a hell of a lot like Porter, which is.. both good and bad, I guess

Get To Know My Tav! (Part 2: Electric Boogaloo - Sophie Edition)
I did one of these for my first BG3 OC Byron a long time ago and I've been wanting to do one for Sophie since forever, now I finally have a minute! These are just so much fun to do. Might even do my Honor Mode Githyanki next if I get around to it!
Tumblr media
Sophie Beaumont - Half-Orc - Champion Fighter - She/Her - 31
favorite weapon: She's a built lady with the power of bonking on her side, so she tends to lean towards various hammers, clubs, maces, and blunt objects. But her favorite gear is definitely her shield to protect her teammates.
style of combat: Tackles combat with a more defensive weapon and shield style. Fighting is always a last resort even though she's skilled at it, but Sophie is someone who'd always prefer to mediate her way out of conflict when possible.
most prized possession: Her favorite childhood book of poetry. The cover is battered and the pages are yellowed, but it's filled with doodles and notes in the margins from over the years.
deepest desire: To find her place in the world and someone to share it with. She's wandered a long time feeling lost and alone, so she really just wants a new start.
guilty pleasure: Definitely has an appreciation for the more frivolous pleasures of life, which people don't usually expect from a seasoned mercenary. Enjoys chocolates, makeup, soft clothes, and a warm bath fit with salts and candles.
best-kept-secret: Under that quiet and serious disposition is a deeply lonely person who wants to be understood and seen as more than a half-orc or soldier for hire.
greatest strength: Her compassionate heart and also rippling abs. Any problem that can't be solved with empathy and communication can be solved by punching it really hard.
fatal flaw: Low self-esteem city. Struggles to see her own worth and value, which can lead to her accepting treatment that's less than what she should be receiving. Very insecure about her half-orc heritage and appearance.
favorite smell: Baking bread and fresh flowers.
favorite spell or cantrip: Sophie has never had a talent for magic and isn't particularly well-versed in it. Her experience with Gale where he shared a bit of weave with her and helped her cast a spell was her first time ever experiencing magic for herself, and is one of her fondest memories of their tadpole adventure.
pet peeve: People assuming she's uneducated, brutish, or violent due to her half-orc heritage. She's so used to being called all kinds of things to the degree it hardly registers in the moment, but every comment still cuts and stings.
bad habit: Has accustomed herself to self-sacrifice and receiving very little in return. Doesn't expect much from anyone which can cause her to be distrustful of others intentions. Very much a mindset of "expect the worst" minus the flipside of hoping for the best.
hidden talent: A surprisingly skilled needleworker. Spent a lot of time shut away in her home growing up, and sewing/embroidery was one of the only things she and her mother did together that gave them common ground.
leisure activity: Tends to run low on social battery and go off on her own later in the day at camp. Reads, tailors her clothes, and writes poetry when no one is around. Spends a lot of time in the mornings training and keeping fit, however. Enjoys sparring with Karlach in particular since her intensity and aggressive fighting style keeps Sophie on her toes.
favorite drink: Loves a cup of warm milk with cinnamon and chamomile, not a treat she gets to enjoy often.
comfort food: She's spent a lot of time on the road eating rabbit and roughage, so any chance to indulge in sweets from the city is a blessing from the gods. Pastries filled with chocolate or cream are her favorites!
favorite person: Gale and her grew very close throughout their journey together, but she's also good friends with Wyll and Karlach. Halsin's flirtations (while flattering and flustering in equal measure) were eventually gently turned down in favor of the affections of the camp wizard and resident chef.
favored display of affection (platonic and/or romantic): She's a romantic at heart but definitely prefers simple gestures when around others. Basic things like holding hands make her warm inside. She hasn't had someone before who's proud to be with her, so even small displays of affection in public are a change of pace and very welcome.
fondest childhood memory: Her childhood was definitely not a happy one by any stretch, but she'll always remember the first day she snuck away to go past the walls of Baldur's Gate for a festival. After seeing the city from its outskirts for so long, even being in the lower city was nothing short of magical. She realized how much of the world she hadn't experienced and how much was truly out there beyond her distant mother and childhood home.
Just putting out a tag to @kelandrin to see this post because they've always been a number 1 Sophie fan and their asks have meant so much to me in the past 🥺
